Nestled in the tranquil Western Ghats of Karnataka, India, Kolluru Shri Mookambika Devi Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dating back around 1,200 years. Dedicated to Goddess Mookambika, it is known for its distinctive idol believed to embody both Saraswati and Mahalakshmi. The temple's construction reflects a blend of Keralan and Dravidian styles.
Kollur Mookambika Temple is one of the most divine and spiritually uplifting temples in South India. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, the temple is surrounded by lush greenery and serene natural beauty, making the atmosphere calm and sacred. Dedicated to Goddess Mookambika, the temple holds great significance for devotees, especially those seeking blessings for education and knowledge. The sanctum, with its golden idol and powerful energy, leaves you with a sense of peace and devotion. The daily rituals and chants are carried out with great discipline and devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience. The temple is well-organized, with proper facilities for pilgrims. The nearby Souparnika River also adds to the temple’s charm, as devotees often take a dip before entering. Kollur Mookambika Temple is not just a place of worship but an experience of divine grace and tranquility. A must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual blessings in Karnataka.

Spiritual Experience amongst the hills !! Plenty of small hotels around for a quick freshen up or day stay to suit budgets ! Reservations is required for bigger hotels like Mahalakshmi hotel , probably the most popular one. Plan for parking as the places around temple is no parking zone ! Darshan and various poojas tickets can be brought at the temple complex once you enter ! The darshan is divine and you can get a small blessing, which is a few add on most temples have introduced in the temple complex once! Around south canara most temples offer prasada in form of lunch and dinner which is a must try experience

Visiting Kollur Mookambika Temple is not just a journey to a sacred shrine — it’s a soul-stirring experience that stays with you long after you leave. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats in Karnataka, surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle hum of nature, this ancient temple dedicated to Devi Mookambika feels alive with divine energy. The moment you step into the temple complex, there’s a quiet sense of sanctity that embraces you. The golden idol of Goddess Mookambika, said to embody Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati, radiates such grace and strength that it’s impossible not to feel moved. The priests perform the rituals with deep devotion, and the chanting of mantras echoes beautifully through the temple halls. What makes Kollur so special is the powerful feminine energy that permeates the space. Whether you come seeking wisdom, strength, or peace, there’s a sense of being heard here — as though the Goddess herself listens with compassion. The temple’s location adds to its magic: misty hills, the Souparnika River flowing nearby, and the sounds of birds at dawn make the surroundings feel heavenly. If you visit early in the morning, when the lamps are still flickering and the temple bells ring softly, the experience feels almost otherworldly. Prasadam is simple yet soulful, and the temple is well-maintained despite the large number of devotees who visit each day. Pilgrims from across South India — especially from Kerala and Karnataka — come here for Vidyarambham, Aksharabhyasam, and special pujas for children and students, making it a deeply family-oriented and spiritually uplifting place.
Roopesh K — Google review
I recently visited the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple, and it was one of the most divine and peaceful experiences of my temple journey. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mookambika, an incarnation of Parvathi Devi, who is worshipped as the goddess of power, wisdom, and courage. Located at the foothills of the Western Ghats and surrounded by lush greenery, the temple’s atmosphere is serene and filled with spiritual energy. The architecture of the temple is traditional Kerala style mixed with Karnataka influences, with beautiful stone carvings and copper plated roofing. The main deity is made of Panchaloha (five metals), and the sanctum radiates a powerful divine presence. The darshan queue is well-managed, and even during weekends, it moves smoothly. Regular darshan is free, and special poojas or sevas can be booked at the counter for a reasonable fee. - Timings: Usually from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. - Dress code: Traditional attire is compulsory, men should wear dhoti or pants, and women should wear sarees or salwar suits. - The temple serves Anna Prasada to devotees daily, which is simple and delicious. - Ample parking space nearby. - Several shops around the temple sell pooja items, prasadam, and souvenirs. - Lodging and food options are easily available near the temple premises. Overall, the Kollur Mookambika Temple offers a deeply spiritual and peaceful atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees seeking blessings and inner tranquility.

This is a highly potent Shakti Peetha where the Goddess Mookambika, the embodiment of Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati, blesses devotees. The setting is beautifully serene and spiritual, situated on the banks of the sacred Souparnika River and backed by the lush Kodachadri Hills. The main deity, a Swayambhu Lingam with a unique golden line, represents the harmonious union of Shiva and Shakti—a powerful sight. The temple, consecrated by Adi Shankaracharya, is a key center for knowledge (Vidya) and is exceptionally well-maintained and organized. An unforgettable spiritual journey that offers immense peace and attracts devotees from all over South India seeking divine knowledge and blessings.

🌺 Mookambika Temple, Kollur — A Divine Experience I had the privilege of visiting the sacred Mookambika Temple in Kollur this Monday, and the experience was nothing short of divine. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, this ancient temple radiates a spiritual energy that’s both grounding and uplifting. From the moment I stepped into the temple premises, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and reverence. The sanctum, dedicated to Goddess Mookambika — a powerful embodiment of Shakti — exudes a magnetic aura that draws devotees into deep contemplation and devotion. The rituals were performed with grace and precision, and the temple priests maintained a serene atmosphere that enhanced the spiritual experience. 🛕 Highlights: • The architecture is a beautiful blend of Kerala and Karnataka styles, with intricate carvings and a timeless charm. • The temple’s location by the Souparnika River adds to its mystical appeal — many devotees take a dip before darshan. • Despite being a popular pilgrimage site, the surroundings were clean, well-managed, and welcoming. 🙏 Verdict: A must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual solace, cultural richness, or simply a moment of quiet reflection. Whether you’re a believer or a seeker, Mookambika Temple leaves a lasting impression on the soul. ---

🌺 Divine Experience at Sri Mookambika Temple 🌺 My visit to the sacred Mookambika Temple was truly a soul-touching experience. The divine presence of Devi Mookambika can be deeply felt the moment you enter the temple premises. The peaceful atmosphere, the powerful vibrations of the chants, and the spiritual energy around the sanctum bring immense calmness and devotion to the heart. The temple is beautifully maintained, and the priests perform the rituals with great devotion. The surroundings — the lush greenery, the sound of the Souparnika River, and the gentle bells — make it a perfect place for prayer and reflection. I felt truly blessed to receive Devi’s darshan. A visit here is not just a journey of faith, but also a reminder of divine grace and protection. 🌸🙏 Highly recommended for all devotees seeking peace, blessings, and spiritual awakening.
ശേഖർ A — Google review
A very spiritual and calming place nestled in nature. The darshan of Goddess Mookambika is truly divine and gives a sense of peace. The temple is neat and well organized, and the priests conduct the poojas beautifully. The road to Kollur is scenic, making the journey enjoyable. However, it can get very crowded during weekends and festivals, so patience is needed. The Souparnika River nearby adds charm, but cleanliness could be improved.

Ancient Shri Kethapai Narayana Temple

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Tucked away in the charming, historical town of Bhatkal, Karnataka, the Shree Ketapai Narayana Temple is an absolute treasure! This ancient temple stands as a living, breathing monument to the rich cultural and artistic heritage of the region. Stepping into this temple feels like being transported back in time—a fusion of Vijayanagara and Dravidian architecture welcomes you, with every mural, pillar, and corner telling stories of devotion, artistry, and history. The gopuram rises tall, and the colorful murals inside are simply breathtaking! The intricate carvings on the pillars aren't just decoration—they’re tales of Krishna’s playful mischief and Ramayana’s legendary battles etched into stone. It’s like the walls are alive, whispering ancient stories to anyone who pauses to listen. What really struck me during my visit was how peaceful and meditative the surroundings are. There’s an unmissable sense of sacredness that fills the air, leaving you reflective and inspired. Despite its significance, this historical marvel remains a well-kept secret, not nearly as popular as it should be—but that’s what makes it all the more special! If you're in Bhatkal, don’t miss the chance to explore this timeless beauty. Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or just someone seeking a peaceful retreat, this temple has something magical to offer. Shree Ketapai Narayana Temple is not just a place—it’s an experience.

Must visit ancient temple in Bhatkal region. Clean and Well maintained. Contains rich history rani chennabhairadevi's contriburion to the region.

Small temple with quick 10-15 tour. Well preserved and clean. One of 6 in the small area dating back to 1500 CE when Bhatkal was Vijaynagar empire's main port trading with persian gulf and beyond. Khetapai, one of the diamond business trader is believed to be amongst the many businessmen who donated to make these temples. Worth a quick stop, and only 100mt off the NH66. We happened to have the pujari around and he was very kind to explain the story of the stone art - of various gods, mahabharata and Krishna Leela.

Jog Falls

Mentioned on
1 list
Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Jog Falls, India's second highest waterfall, is a stunning sight that varies from a gentle flow to a powerful cascade during the monsoon season. Although undergoing redevelopment, it remains a delight for the eyes. Due to construction work, access to the bottom of the falls is closed, and parking space is limited. The water source is a reservoir, and during heavy rain, gates are opened to increase water flow. Boat rides are available on the reservoir.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited Jog Falls — one of the most stunning natural wonders in Karnataka! The view of the waterfalls cascading down from such a great height is absolutely mesmerizing, especially when there’s good water flow. The mist, the sound of the falls, and the surrounding greenery make it a truly refreshing experience. There are multiple viewpoints to enjoy the beauty from different angles, and the area is well-maintained with decent parking and basic facilities. Best time to visit is right after the monsoon when the falls are at their full glory. A must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers! 🌿💦
Rahul C — Google review
One of the most beautiful spots I’ve seen in India. The place is nice , calm, cool and soothing. Excellent place to click photographs. Sufficient parking space is available. Tickets are around Rs. 20 per person. Looks like they are planning many new attractions here, as there’s plenty of construction going on. Best time to visit would be when they open the nearby dam, and the waterfall is in full flow.
Alan F — Google review
I visited during dasara holidays and it was not very crowded, which made the experience peaceful and enjoyable. The falls looked beautiful and the weather was pleasant. There are some construction works going on near the view points and entrance, but it didn't affect the overall experience much. A great place to enjoy nature and relax.
Ramesh B — Google review
Jog Falls is a stunning destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts visiting Karnataka. As one of India’s tallest waterfalls, it plunges a remarkable 253 meters, especially dramatic during the monsoon season. Jog Falls, Karnataka-Jog Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India, located on the Sharavathi River in the Shimoga district of Karnataka. The monsoon season (June to September) offers the most dramatic views, with the falls being at their full force. Enjoy the view from designated viewpoints Visit the Mahatma Gandhi Hydro Electric plant Explore the surrounding dense, evergreen forests Go during the monsoon season to see rainbows in the mist. A sightseeing tour offers visitors the chance to experience the majestic waterfall framed by lush green landscapes. Beyond being a peaceful escape, it's an ideal location for nature walks and photography. The tour package for Jog Falls also includes nearby viewpoints, perfect for a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation from cities like Bangalore. For photography enthusiasts, capturing the falls from various angles is a must, as the views provide stunning landscape shots at every turn. The area around Jog Falls can be slippery, so it is advisable to wear comfortable and sturdy footwear. It is also important to carry rain gear, as it can rain unexpectedly in the area. Jog Falls is surrounded by lush green forests and beautiful landscapes. If you have time, you must explore the surrounding areas and take in the natural beauty of the region. The main viewpoint is located on the opposite side of the waterfall and offers a panoramic view of the falls.
NK M — Google review
The sheer volume of water cascading down the rocks is breathtaking and the multiple segmented streams create an awe-inspiring view, especially during peak monsoon. The surrounding lush greenery adds to the serenity and beauty of the location. It's an unforgettable experience and a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers. Definitely a highlight of any trip to Karnataka.
Gokul P — Google review
Entry fees is 20 rupees. The experience is of a lifetime. We went during Monsoon on July’25. We were thrilled to see the sceneric beauty. It feels like milk is gushing down from the waterfalls more than water. India’s biggest waterfall is absolutely an eye soother. The ghat roads leading to jog falls, the Shimoga district, the road exiting Shimoga and going towards kumta all are satisfying. ❤️🧿❤️
The C — Google review
Jog Falls 🌊✨ Standing before the mighty Jog Falls felt like standing before nature’s heartbeat — powerful, calm, and endlessly beautiful. The mist kissed my face, the roar echoed through my chest, and for a while, everything else just faded away. 🌿💧 Even though the place is under construction, there’s something special about watching it evolve — a promise that soon, this wonder will shine brighter than ever. Change is happening, but the soul of Jog Falls remains the same — pure, majestic, and unforgettable. ❤️
Vishakh I — Google review
There is lot of construction work happening around so plan accordingly to visit Be careful about the touts around would cheat you by saying many things and take money from you. Just visit inside by paying ticket and watch that’s the best way. Road is also not good due to work happening around Right now water is there so you can watch the falls but after few days this will also stop as rain season has ended for the year To watch water in full best time to visit is July and August

Had lot of fun with friends, done tracking on mountain leads to multiple beaches, had good experience near beaches, played volleyball and other games and at the end relaxing view of beautiful Sunset. It was like mini Goa with less crowd. I went in February during Valentine.
Kumar R — Google review
A Peaceful Slice of Paradise – OM Beach, Gokarna 🌊✨ We recently visited Om Beach, and it was such an amazing experience! The beach truly lives up to the hype — peaceful, scenic, and shaped beautifully like the sacred “Om” symbol. The vibe here is calm yet vibrant, making it a perfect mix for both relaxation and fun. We started our day with a small trek along the cliffs that connect Om Beach to nearby beaches — the views from the top were absolutely stunning! You can spot movie-like scenery all around. Later, we just chilled by the shore, played some beach games like volleyball and frisbee, and ended the day watching a breathtaking sunset over the Arabian Sea — easily one of the best sunsets I’ve seen. 🌅 The beach is clean and less crowded, with a few small shops and shacks offering snacks, lemon soda, and local food. The whole area feels like a mini Goa but quieter, making it great for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere. A few quick tips: • No water sports here, so it’s more about peace than thrill. • Trekking shoes or slippers with grip help if you explore nearby spots. • Visit during early morning or evening for the best light and fewer people. Om Beach is not just another beach — it’s a place to soak in nature, unwind with friends, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you want to trek, chill, or just watch the sun melt into the sea, this place will leave you refreshed and smiling. 💙

A wonderful beach for families to enjoy some fun times here. The entrance has a bit of stairs to walk down which can be cumbersome when exiting when you have to climb those same stairs, especially with the sun shining. All in all a beautiful beach. Do visit to experience it yourself.

The most lively beach in Gokarna. The boating from there was top notch. Also the walk to the end of beach along with slight drizzle was amazing. Highly recommended.
Ambarish N — Google review
It is probably the best beach in Gokarna. There are 5-6 total beaches there which can be accessed both through the roads or hiking the hills. Have been to this place twice and it feels really good to be there. Car parking is an issue there as the number of visitors are gradually increasing in Gokarna. Do visit Mahabaleshwar temple whenever you go there.

It's a fantastic family-friendly spot with a wide range of activities. Enjoy making and drinking fresh sugarcane juice, playing games, boating, bullock cart and horse rides, and pottery. Other activities include crafting with clay, traditional cooking experiences, and more. The breakfast and lunch are delicious, with plenty of options to satisfy everyone.

“Agadi Thota” was conceptualised in the year of 2000 with a theme we grow, we offer, we process our produce. In the year 2017, as a value addition and to generate additional income to make agriculture more self sustainable, we started to offer a special authentic North Karnataka’s ethnic food which is a geographical indicator of this region. The whole day we keep serving various items in unlimited quantities, starting from Fruit juice as a welcome drink, different variety of seasonal naturally grown and ripened fruit cuts, Millet based breakfast with natural Lemon Tea, Ragi Malt, Tamarind chigali, Sugarcane Juice, North Karnataka cuisine Lunch, Butter milk, pan, evening Masala Girmit with Sev, Mirchi to end with Tea/coffee. Agadi Thota's main objective is to offer a whole day package of ethnic North Karnataka Unlimited food. Along with that, to educate people about our culture and tradition, we also have Village life style self experience as a complimentary to the guests. Promoting our north Karnataka food is our intention hence we do not allow any outside food as we keep serving unlimited quantities of different items throughout the day. Food is our service is mandatory, rest of the experiences are just complementary.

It was one of the best experiences to spend quality time with my family, surrounded by nature and enjoying traditional food. I especially loved the mud kitchen items prepared in the old style from our UK side — I’m a big fan! The food was completely tasty, healthy, and reminded us of our roots. The entrance games were on another level, and I had so much fun playing with my little and younger brother. It created beautiful memories for all of us. I sincerely request Agadi Thota to make mud kitchen items available either online or offline, so more people can use them, as they are really good for health. Nowadays, in Dharwad city, I only come across matka water, but not such authentic items. I am truly thankful to Agadi Thota and everyone behind it for keeping us healthy and for teaching the importance of our old lifestyle. 🙏

Agadi Thota is a perfect destination to enjoy the real rural beauty and culture of North Karnataka. The farm is well maintained, calm and quiet in lush green surroundings. The activities provided are enjoyable for all age groups. From bullock cart ride, pottery making, boating, rain dance and many others. But mind you they only provide the structure you have to do everything yourself. But the best part is the food of North Karnataka served during entire day..it’s simply awesome..fresh, tasty ,homely and unlimited also.. The staff is very warm and makes sure that whoever comes there have a great time. The concept of organic farming and showing people how to do such type of farming in a very sustainable manner is really appreciated. It’s not about visiting, it can be called as an complete cultural exposure. I would say family outing, school outing or if you are just bored from the life going around. If you are anywhere near Karnataka u must visit this place!
Prasanna J — Google review
A wonderful place to visit with family and kids — offering an authentic village experience that brings rural life alive! From bullock cart rides, tanga rides, to various traditional games and activities, it’s a great way for children to see and enjoy what they’ve only heard about! INS Chapal (K94) Warship Museum is a unique beachside attraction located near Rabindranath Tagore Beach in Karwar. It features the decommissioned warship INS Chapal, which was a key player in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore the ship's interior, including the captain's cabin and control room, providing an educational and entertaining experience for history enthusiasts and families alike.
Visited the Warship Museum (INS Chapal) in Karwar – a unique experience inside a real Navy ship. You can explore cabins, weapons and get a feel of naval life. The view from the deck, especially near sunset, is beautiful.

It’s a great place to visit. It’s a very small theme based museum. It’s a navy ship INS Chapal and a cargo plane. Only navy ship is converted into museum where you can go inside seeing all the inner things like how to cabins were made, how the staff operated, how the places and engines are designed and assembled. Everything being kept in its original form that’s why it became rotten. But worth visiting. It’s lies somewhere between Gokarna and Goa route(may be I am not correct) Entry fees only 20rs per person. Must visit once.

"Must-visit destination for naval enthusiasts and history buffs! INS Chapal (K94) Warship & Aircraft in Karwar is a unique museum showcasing India's naval heritage. The decommissioned warship and aircraft on display are impressive and provide a glimpse into the country's maritime history. We were thoroughly impressed by the museum's exhibits, which included artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to share insights into the ship's history and operations. A visit to INS Chapal is a great way to learn about India's naval history and appreciate the sacrifices of our brave sailors. Highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in naval history, technology, and patriotism.

50 Rs. Entry ticket per head. Could have been managed better by the Karnataka Tourism Board. Since, I have been to the naval museum at Vizag, this feels a little less. The caretaker at the entrance of the Karwar tupalov aircraft museum is very passionate about his job and knowledgeable about the exhibits and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with visitors. I hope the government provided better guided facilities to the visitors here since the entry is ticketed.

The Warship & Aircraft museum at the Karwar beach is a special thing. We are allowed to get the glimpse of a decommissioned missile launcher ship of Indian Navy, the INS Chapal. Along with that the anti submarine aircraft Tuplev T-142M is also on display. After watching the amazing machines from inside and outside, one is filled with pride about the skills and hardwork that our soldiers put in for our safety. Photography is allowed on the deck and inside the ship but not inside the plane. AC are installed inside to make our experience more comfortable. A must watch if you go to Karwar. ₹ 50 are charged as ticket fee per person. The museum is open daily from 9.30 to 12.30 and then from 14.00 to 17.00

Located less than a km from Rabindranath Tagore beach, this warship museum uncovers the rich legacy of the Indian Navy. A great place especially to those who love to experience and pay attention to tiny details from the structure to a unique glimpse into life at sea. Entry fee is ₹15 and please ensure you carry change with you. Online payment was not accepted when I visited so please ensure you have cash to avoid unnecessary hassle.

Syntheri Rocks

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Syntheri Rocks is a park area that showcases a river with small rapids and rock formations that have been shaped and hollowed out over time. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 50/- per person and must navigate narrow roads for some off-roading before reaching the destination. The area offers ample parking space for both cars and bikes, but visitors should be prepared to walk down several flights of steps to access the rocks.
Good place/ falls for a picnic with family. Suggestion: 1. Can't swim 2. No network 3. Carry some cash. 4. Carry your food. 5. Entry fee (50) per head.

I visited here on 20-Apr-2025. Serene place. Parking available. 80 rupees per person. There is a small stall where you can get water and other stuff. From parking to the view point there are steps, climbing upstairs will be a little breathtaking so do have water in hand. One of the best places to visit in Dandeli. Some people do park their vehicle at the ticked counter and tend to walk, trust me it’s doing to be tiring better take your vehicle till the parking place.
Abhishek J — Google review
One of the unique natural monolithic rock formations to see which has been preserved. Recently opened. Do visit when it's not raining since it's a mud road which poses risk with downhill bends and elevation while returning. Cash only tickets. Either way you won't get any network.
Amit T — Google review
Syntheri Rocks is a towering granite monolith in the heart of Dandeli, shaped millions of years ago when molten magma cooled and later sculpted by the relentless Kali River. Its caves, potholes, and honeycomb patterns tell stories of centuries of erosion. In monsoon, the river crashes against it with wild force; in dry seasons, it stands calm and majestic. Visiting feels like meeting an ancient giant — silent, powerful, and timeless — a perfect blend of nature’s beauty and deep history.
Prajwal C — Google review
It's a wonderful heaven-like place. You can see various types of rock elements in one giant Syntheri rock. The beauty the rock has with underwater has a great impression.

Nice place but have to go down a long way. Going down is easy, while coming up ita tiresome. Carry water no shops nearby. From gate its no proper road to point/steps atleast 15 min.

“A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence."... ............ Exploring Karnataka....at Dandeli...... The famous monolithic granite.....Syntheri Rock..... At a distance of 31 km from Dandeli and 16 km from Ulavi, Syntheri Rock is monolithic granite structure with a height of 300 feet, which is located in the dense forests of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the top Dandeli tourist places to visit. Syntheri Rock is a huge, massive limestone rock formed due to volcanic eruptions some million years ago. It is named after an English lady called Ms. Cinthera who is believed to have discovered this place in 20th century. River Kaneri passes along the side of this rock. Owing to the flow of the river from the vicinity, erosion has resulted in the rocks getting hollowed. The corners of this rock cave are inhabited by numerous pigeons and honeybees. Entry to the venue is controlled by forest department. The site can be reached either by jeep or by walk through the dense forest from the entrance. At the entrance visitors need to pay nominal entry fee and vehicles can go up to the parking area from where visitors need to climb down to reach the base. There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. The steps are very steep and various types of rocks found in the forest are displayed along the steps.

Avoid this resort at all costs!!This place is a complete scam. They lure people in with positive reviews and photos of a different resort, but when we arrived, they shifted us to another property called *Wildernest* without any prior notice. When we questioned them, they gave a vague excuse, claiming they assign resorts based on "availability." Since we reached late at night, we had no choice but to stay. The resort we were sent to was poorly maintained, none of the promised activities were available, and the worst part — they served the *same food* for all three days! If you value your time and money, do not book this resort. It completely ruined our vacation experience.

Dudhsagar Falls, located on the Goa-Karnataka border, is a stunning three-streamed waterfall known for its milky white waters. Surrounded by lush forests, the verdant landscapes come alive with cascading waterfalls and secluded swimming pools. The area is particularly enchanting during the Goa rains when crowds thin out and great deals on accommodations can be found.
One of the best and easiest trek. Start ny morning itself 12+12 kms trek thru forest, streams and tracks. Earlier trek till upper waterfalls now they stopped. Always book a guide, if going solo join a group.

We travelled on 11th Oct 2025. Jeep safari had just opened a day before after the monsoon break. It's recommended to start the journey early we started at 8 am . It is a one hour journey by jeep to the waterfall. You will be given 90 minutes at the waterfall. Additional time can be spent at additional charges. It is the best time to visit as waterfall is in full flow post monsoon. Jeep can accomodate 7 pax . 600 rs per person or 4200 per jeep. Forest check point charge 250 which includes life jacket charges. Pls do not litter this beautiful natural paradise.
Karthik K — Google review
A must visit place for people seeking some adventure. You have to reach Kolem by your convenience. Then you’ll have to book local jeep that will take you near the waterfall which would take around 45min. Then there’s 5-10 minutes of hiking and you’ll see the beauty of nature. That’ll cost around Rs 850/- including the forest charges which is 250 Rs. You’ll also get a life jacket that’s included in 850 Rs. You’ll also can also swim in the waterfall.
Shubhang G — Google review
Good place for adventurous trip. You have option to go for hiking treking and jeep tour. It takes 45mins to go by jeep from the forest gate. Some places you cross the streams and full bumpy road for 45mins. You will be given 90 minutes to enjoy at the water falls. These jeep drivers charge waiting charges if you cross 90 mins. Avoid if elders with back pain. Also the water fall area doesn't have proper fencing support railing or any proper means to stand. Plenty of changing rooms but not maintained properly. You have a life guard near the water falls. Rocks are very skidy and be cautious.
Harsha G — Google review
Heavy Queue up to 3-4 hours for buying ticket, after ticket buy seat in their bolero around 45 min then you reach dudhsagar waterfall parking area… after that 10 min walking for dudhsagar waterfall, after seeing you feeling just wow… awesome location.. but time taken.
Pradip P — Google review
Writing down so that anyone who wants to go can have an easy trip. Things to note: You cannot take your personal vehicle after the ticket booking point in Kullem. No shops inside, so take your water bottles with you. The road is very very rocky. Anyone with back problems is adviced not to go. You will need to pay a maintanence fee, its about 220 per person. Carry cash, they do not accept any digital payments. Theres 3 ways to reach the actual falls. The first 2 options are a trek. You can trek from Kullem or Castle Rock. The trek from Castle Rock is almost a whole days worth trek and you will need a guide. The one from Kullem is about half a days worth. The roads to reach there are also very muddy mostly because of jeeps that keep crossing the road. I personally would not recommend the trek because it's not very scenic, the roads are bad to non existent and is dangerous in general, especially from Castle Rock. And you can't take a jeep back from there either because jeeps already have their passengers pre-booked from the ticket point. The only advantage of the trek is that you can stay at the falls as long as you want. The third way is to book a jeep. Best way imo. They run non stop from the ticket point. It's 500 person(on top the maintanence fee). They'll drop you at the final leg, from there you have to trek for 10mins. A very simple trek. You get 1.5 hours at the falls. Enough to see whatever the falls has to offer.
Shreyas — Google review
It’s an easy to moderate trek for around 11.5 kms one way…the view is not much what we expected but was okish. The guide will force you to take the train track route but please make sure you take the forest route for better view and experience.
Raj K — Google review
There are Two ways to Explore the Mighty Falls, one in by Trek and other is Jeep safari which is 4200 per jeep (Rs.700/- per Head) if you are less then 7 you can share with others. By Trek is very difficult for Inexperience, its took 3 hours up and 3 hours down total of 6 Hours Walk. Forest Entry Ticket is Rs.250/- per person. Jeep Travel time is 45 Min up and 45 min Down. They Gave you 1.30 Hours for bath in Falls if waterflow is low. The 1.30 hours time is not enough for everyone because we cant get out of the falls due to its carry such joy and wild experience, they gave you life jackets so don't worry about if you not know to swim. Overall I highly recommend everyone must visit this Falls once you are in GOA. Timing 9.0 am to 3.0 pm. Checkpost is walkable from Kulem Railway Station, which is 30 min from Madgoan Junction.

Nestled in the heart of Kolhapur, the Shri Ambabai Temple, also known as the Mahalaxmi Temple, is a stunning 12th-century Hindu shrine that captivates visitors with its intricate sculptures and rich history. Revered as one of the Shakti Peethas or Dakshin Kashi, this temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees seeking liberation from desires or fulfillment of their wishes.
Beautiful and divine temple with rich history. The idol of Ambabai is mesmerizing and the atmosphere inside is very peaceful. Well-maintained and clean. Gets very crowded on weekends and festivals, so early morning darshan is best. Parking can be difficult near the temple. Overall, a must-visit spiritual place in Kolhapur.

-Get down at main entrance, we mistakenly had dropped down backside gate. -Senior citizens are allowed to sit in the entrance if any large queue was there. -Inside temple, womens are separately in queues to have Darshan as its Mahalaxmi Temple. -Drinking water facility available when you come out of Darshan. -Several shops available inside for shopping devotional items. -Peda Prasad nearby exit of Darshan is the cheap and best which was sold by local guys. -Also, Laddu Prasad sold by Temple committee. -Best part is free Bhojanalaya as like in Shirdi was available and taste was very good. (Variety Rice, sabhji, butter milk, sweet.) -Timing 12PM to 3PM -This is located in backside of temple which is of 50m distance from temple. -Free Tokens are given in main entrance and backside gate. -Volunteers/Members inside Bhojanalaya strictly instructs all devotees to not waste food. One should complete his/her food and allowed to get up for handwash. - Plates for children were asked there parents before giving in order avoid wastage of food. - But this Bhojanalaya is present in 1st floor, which is a very big minus point for those where not able to step up. - Footwears are to be kept outside Bhojanalaya.

Beautiful and very very old temple. Powerful vibes can be experienced. Crowded throughout the day. We had gone in the afternoon and early morning and both times the temple was crowded. We were blessed to have a security officer help us out of the blue as my mom couldnt stand and wait in the queue for long hours. Once inside you can feel the essence of an old temple and the idol is so so mesmerising! Truly blessed to have got a chance to visit the divine Mahalaxmi!

Kaas Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Satara district of Maharashtra, is a stunning plateau formed from volcanic rocks. This picturesque destination is known for its vibrant wildflowers that bloom from September to October, creating a colorful carpet of natural beauty. The plateau receives heavy rainfall and gusty winds during the monsoon season, making it an ideal time to witness the breathtaking display of flowers. Many of these wildflowers are medicinal and unique to this area.
A must-visit natural wonder and a truly spectacular floral tapestry. A rare and precious ecological gem. Date of Visit: Mid-September (Peak Bloom Season) Purpose: Nature and Macro Photography The Experience: A Floral Masterpiece Kaas Plateau, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, fully lives up to its title as the 'Valley of Flowers of Maharashtra.' The experience is genuinely breathtaking. The barren lateritic plateau, which is dry for most of the year, is magically carpeted by an astonishing variety of wildflowers during the short post-monsoon window. What Makes it Special: The Floral Diversity: It’s not just one color—the plateau shifts hues daily. We saw vast stretches of the delicate yellow Smithia (often called the 'Mickey Mouse flower'), vibrant purple-pink Impatiens, tiny white Eriocaulon, and even unique carnivorous plants like Drosera Indica. For nature lovers and botanists, it is an absolute treasure trove, home to over 850 species, many of which are endemic. The Ambiance: The cool, misty weather typical of the late monsoon season enhances the entire atmosphere. Walking on the designated trails through the rolling hills, with the Kaas Lake glittering in the distance, is an experience of profound peace and natural beauty. The Conservation Effort: The local authorities have done an excellent job of protecting this fragile ecosystem. The strict rules—staying only on marked trails and the mandatory online booking with visitor limits—are necessary and appreciated for preserving the environment.

Ample parking and food options both veg and non veg. Takes around 2 hours to roam around and admire the nature.

We went there on the last day of the season after most flowers have withered, yet the place was heavenly. The crowd was almost non existent. The meadows were carpeted golden yellow. The staff was very cooperative and the facilities were good . A bus picks you up from the parking lot to the gates , from where an electric buggy drops you off inside . Here you are free to walk around and enjoy the park . The breeze was cooled and the the park was a lush green which made it a beautiful experience.

It's good, it's a land of 10 Sq Km. Having 800+ species of plants , different types of flowering plants are covered in huge areas. The plateau is formed by volcanic rock. The best time to visit this area is from post June to the mid September to experience nature. We visited in mid October and found a few flowers. We can call it wild plants. Visitors who stay past 4:30 p.m. often have a better chance of spotting wild animals, as many species become more active during the late afternoon.

Table Land, located in the picturesque Panchgani Hills of Maharashtra, is a stunning natural wonder that ranks as Asia's second-highest plateau. Spanning an impressive 98 acres at an elevation of around 4,550 feet, this expansive flatland is characterized by its unique red laterite soil and vibrant patches of wildflowers. Visitors flock to Table Land for its breathtaking views of the Krishna Valley and River, framed by the majestic Sahyadri mountain range.
Created by ancient volcanic activities, it is the second longest mountain plateau in Asia. Stretching over 98 acres at an elevation of approximately 4,550 ft above sea level, Table Land is the highest point in Panchgani. Due to its vast, elevated expanse of flat terrain, it offers unobstructed panoramic view of the Krishna Valley and surrounding hills. It is also a vantage point for spectacular sunrise and sunset. Activities like horse riding, horse cart rides and paragliding are available.

Table land is the second highest asian plateu in India . From this place we can see the views of following places - 1. Pandavgad , Wai and nearby villages ( previously known as Viratnagari as per Indian Mythology )at the eastern part of plateu 2.Kamalgad at the western part of plateu 3.Dhom dam at the western part of plateu Table land is the great place for people who enjoy long walk, running, playing ground sports. Table land turns more beautiful from 20 September to 11 October every year as this is flowering period of many wild flowering plants found in western ghats .

"We visited this place for the first time and weren’t sure how much area there was to explore. At the entrance, horse riders offered to take us to 10–12 points, but honestly, only 2–3 of them are major spots that you can easily walk to within 1–2 km. If you enjoy horse riding, you can try it—but it’s quite expensive and not really necessary. The natural beauty here is excellent, especially at Table Point. Sunrise and sunset views are truly worth it!"

6 kms valley having historic relation with mahabharat. Where it is believed Pandavas spent their exile here. Pandavas footprints, caves, devils kitchen is here many movie shots were taken here. It's long plateau. Asias 2nd highest Volcanic Plateau. U cannot walk full plateau there are horses and carts which costs around 1400 to roam everywhere and they explain you story. Best to visit during sunset 🌇
Ravindra N — Google review
One of the best places to visit during the rainy season. Do not go for any guide or so just travel by urself they will only give information on which movie was shot where and which battle was fought and etc. If horse riding available go for it and bargain for it without fail, for 9 spots go for as low as 1200-1500. You will get some picturesque views if you travelling on low rainy days. Do not spend 20 rs on pandav caves, not worth it it's just a simple shiv bhagwan statue without any lights in cave. Note: from June horse riding is banned for three months due to the rainy season.

Wonderful geological structure which encompasses so much beauty around it that people simply get attracted towards it to relish in the beauty of this flat land. Walk on the table land, ride the horse cart or horse back, appreciate the landforms, observe the flora and fauna, click some memorable pictures and be grateful and feel lucky that you visited such a wonderful natural formation...
ECLECTIC A — Google review
Absolute picturesque. It has 9 points to visit. Ghodawalas will approach you right outside, you can either take a horse or walk on your own. If you take a horse then try to bargain cause they charge 3600Rs which is super expensive and not justified at all. We bargained to get the horse at 1300 for 6 points and rest 3 points we walked.

Visited yesterday. This is one the best places in mahabaleshwar. Need to pay entry fees to start journey before this point. After this you need to pay 50/- for parking. Try to visit this place in evening to get a good view of sunset. You can take horse ride, boat ride, game shows, activity games and some tasty food items. Try to take horse ride with photoshoot. . Main market and mapro garden is near from this. Good place for spending time. Boating charge 600 for 4 person for 30min.

Venna Lake is an ideal combination of nature, leisure, and light adventure, making it a must-see destination for families, couples, and solo visitors. There is no entry cost; you only pay for activities like as boats and rides. A tranquil lakeside surrounded by green hills, ideal for wandering, photography, and relaxing. Plenty of parking accessible near the entrance.

⭐ Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Venna Lake, Panchgani is an average tourist spot — good for a one-time visit, but not something you’d want to return to. The lake itself looks nice from a distance, but it’s extremely crowded, especially on weekends. You often have to wait for hours just to get a boat ride, and the entrance area gets very chaotic. During the rainy season, the place becomes filthy and muddy, and the hygiene is below average. The nearby horse stand adds to the mess — the area is dirty and full of people constantly chasing you for rides. They charge around ₹200 for just 500 meters, which is absolutely not worth it. Parking is another headache — very congested and disorganized. Overall, this is just one of those places you visit once to tick it off your list, not for the experience itself.
Ambkumar — Google review
It is one of the most scenic attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Beautiful lake surrounded by hills. Great for boat rides while watching the sunset. We went during May end , so the evening breeze by the lake was so soothing. Gets extremely crowded during peak tourist season. There are ample parking spots, but due to the rush of tourists, it is very difficult to find a parking spot nearby. I have seen families walk a considerable distance from their parking area to reach the lake. It all depends upon whether you get a parking or not , if you have a driver, they may drop you at a distance. Apart from this, the lake vicinity has different activities like boat riding , horse riding, etc, and way too many fast food joints selling all kinds of food and drinks. There are fruit vendors , toy vendors , and so many shop keepers all around. If you just want to sit by the lake and watch the sunset amidst all the cacophony , come a bit early and sit a little away from the main entrance point.
Adj G — Google review
This lake is very beautiful. It would have been much better if there was no rain and fog. Boat ride was thrilling and the fun filled horse riding with my son. Plenty of stalls for street food like corn, tea, etc…

Avinash S — Google review
We went to Mahabaleshwar hoping to enjoy the rainy season. Packed all our rain gear, umbrellas, jackets, even plastic covers for bags. But as soon as we reached… the rain just disappeared! Not even a single drop! It was like the rain said, “Okay, my job is done. You guys take care now.” Instead, we were welcomed by thick clouds everywhere. Couldn’t see much ahead while driving – the fog was like “peekaboo!” every few minutes. But honestly, the cloudy weather made the whole place look magical. The valleys, trees, and hills covered in clouds looked straight out of a movie scene. We missed the rain, but the cool weather and peaceful vibes made up for it. Sitting on a hilltop with hot chai and roasted corn in that fog… pure bliss. It felt like the clouds came just to give us a cozy hug. So yeah, Mahabaleshwar didn’t give us rain, but it gave us something better — quiet, calm, and some unforgettable views. Highly recommend going there if you want a break from all the city noise. Just… don’t chase the rain. It’s faster than it looks!

Amazing journey, must visit in monsoon. But avoid night driving, visibility is very low in night. Can't see even 20 meter ahead. Otherwise it's just like experiencing heaven in monsoon.

The place is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Maharashtra. Surrounded by lush greenery, scenic valleys, and pleasant weather almost all year round, it’s perfect for a peaceful getaway. The viewpoints like Arthur’s Seat and Kate’s Point are stunning. However, weekends can get crowded and parking is sometimes a hassle. Still, a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

My recent trip to Mahabaleshwar was truly an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most refreshing holidays I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the climate was absolutely perfect — cool, breezy, and soothing, just the way Mahabaleshwar is known for. The pleasant weather itself set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Table Land, a vast stretch of flat plateau offering breathtaking views and a calm, open atmosphere. Standing there, surrounded by nature and fresh air, felt incredibly peaceful. We also spent time at Mapro Garden, which was vibrant, lively, and filled with the aroma of fresh strawberries. Their products, food court, and greenery added a fun and refreshing touch to the day. Exploring the Mahabaleshwar market was another memorable experience. From local snacks and fresh produce to handicrafts and souvenirs, the market had a charming, traditional vibe that made strolling through it truly enjoyable. The viewpoints were equally captivating. Parsi Point offered stunning valley views that felt almost surreal, while Elephant Head Point stood out with its unique natural rock formation and scenic beauty. Each spot had its own charm and added a different flavor to the trip. Overall, this holiday was the perfect mix of nature, sightseeing, relaxation, and pleasant weather. Every moment felt soothing, refreshing, and memorable. Mahabaleshwar truly gave us an all-in-one holiday experience that I would happily relive anytime. 🌄✨

The cool climate, lush greenery, and panoramic viewpoints like Arthur’s Seat, Elephant’s Head Point, and Wilson Point make it a must-visit destination. The strawberry farms are a sweet bonus—don’t miss trying the fresh strawberries with cream! The town also has some beautiful temples and the historic Pratapgad Fort nearby for those interested in culture and history. Roads are well maintained, though it can get crowded during peak season. Plenty of good food options and cozy stays. Overall, a perfect place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature!

Visit during monsoon. When we visited there were rains but not heavy downpours. It should be drizzling not heavy rains, if there is heavy rain then the entire place is covered in fog, it would be difficult to drive in the fog in the hill station and also some view points will be closed. Hotels, restaurants and taxi service , bus services are available within Mahabaleshwar and to reach as well multiple bus or cab services available. Weekends will be too crowded, There are 3 temples at the hill top and they are a must visit.

👌✨Mahabaleshwar – Monsoon Bliss in the Hills! I visited Mahabaleshwar during the monsoon season, and it was one of the most refreshing experiences ever! The lush green hills covered in mist, cool breezy weather, and light drizzles made every moment magical. The clean, fresh mountain air instantly lifts your mood. Street food like hot corn, vada pav, and fresh strawberries made the rainy weather even more enjoyable. Local people are warm, polite, and always ready to help. Driving through the winding ghats was thrilling with scenic valley views at every turn. Whether you're a nature lover, a couple looking for peace, or a photographer — this place has something for everyone. The sound of waterfalls, the foggy viewpoints, and the calm vibes offer pure peace of mind. Highly recommended for a monsoon getaway that’s full of nature, flavor, and soulful moments!...✨🎊

Murud Beach is another wonderful coastal destination in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This beach is known for its golden sands, gentle waves, and the historic Murud Janjira Fort situated just off the coast. Visitors can relax on the beach, take a boat ride to explore the fort, or indulge in water sports like parasailing and banana boat rides. It's a great place to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Arabian Sea.
Sweetie K — Google review
Murud Beach is perfect if you're looking for a mix of relaxation and activity. It’s a wide, sandy beach with enough space to walk, play, or just chill by the waves. The water is usually clean, and the beach is well-maintained, especially near the main entrance areas. You’ll find decent washroom facilities close to the parking zones — they’re usable, though not always spotless. Getting here is simple via road; it’s well-connected from Alibaug and nearby towns. For stays, there are plenty of hotels and homestays nearby, ranging from budget to premium. Evenings get a bit lively with stalls, horse rides, and families enjoying themselves, so it’s not too quiet — but not overly crowded either. If you're planning a short beach getaway, Murud won't disappoint.
Aadesh J — Google review
*Update : As tourism grows, ignorant tourists have started running the beach. Check my timelapse video to see the filth! Beautiful Beach with water sport activities available. This beach also is supposed to be the safest on the coast with no rocks and a long stretch which doesn't go deeper than 4 feet for quiet much distance. The village has its committee that cleans the beach regularly and thats why they charge daily toll to the tourists.
Nikhil G — Google review
Clean beach, happy to see people respecting hygiene and not littering everywhere. Crowded: there are more people here as compared to other beaches of Dapoli. Water sports: not much, the waves do not support surfing Rides : Camel, horse cart, banana rides, boat rides, speed boat available here with average safety and hygiene standards. Food: saw many restaurants around the beach. Not so great option for full course meal but tea and snacks options are available. Parking: saw people parking at the beach. To avoid hustle, we parked about 50 meters before the beach in a resort parking (charged 100 rs per car)

This place is very awesome. We went to this beach from our cottage on karde beach in about 10 minutes. In Dapoli this beach is more crowded than any other beaches. You can perform water activities here like para sailing, banana ride, sofa ride. We went to this place at evening to watch sunset and it was awesome view. You can have variety of snacks at this beach. We eated kokan special ukdiche Modak and ghawan chatney at nearby stall. One thing I observed here is local people are very polite and friendly.

Wonderful beach, I went there with my family. There was no rush at all. It was a very clean beach. There were some food stalls. There were some rides I enjoyed a jet ski ride. But there was not a changing room. So, my concern is that they should provide at least a common changing room for females. Otherwise, the overall beach was nice. There was a temple also. One more thing, there are no life gaurds for safety. May they be available at season to season.

Harihareshwar Beach is one of those hidden gems on the Konkan coast that offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, spirituality, and tranquility. Whether you're looking to unwind, explore, or just escape the chaos of city life, this beach is a refreshing retreat. The beach is clean, uncrowded, and peaceful, especially compared to more commercialized destinations. The sound of the waves, the soft golden sand, and the view of the surrounding hills make it a perfect spot to relax and reflect. One of the unique aspects of Harihareshwar is its spiritual vibe, thanks to the Harihareshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located right next to the beach. The pradakshina path around the temple, which circles the rocky coastline, offers a scenic walk – best done during low tide. Sunrises and sunsets here are magical. There are also local homestays and small resorts nearby that offer a comfortable stay and homely food, giving you an authentic coastal experience.

Sinhagad Fort, located on a hill rising 760 meters above sea level near Pune, is a historic fortress known for the Battle of Sinhagad in 1671. It serves as a memorial for Tanaji and the tomb of Rajaram. The site features military stables, breweries, and a temple dedicated to the goddess Kali. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from this hilltop fort, making it popular for weekend getaways and monsoon trekking.
Excellent location to visit. One must visit during weekdays to avoid crowds. Bottles of water and rainy wear are a must. Black fort walls and structures shrouded in mist or wisp of clouds with occasional misty rain or torrent will create a surreal ambience. Prepare for a good walk with waterproof tracking shoes. This fort is located about 40 km from Pune city. There's a nominal parking charge of Rs 50. You'll find small food stalls around and within the fort premises. The views from the fort are stunning, and its rich history and architecture are evident. The fort spans a vast area, making it an ideal spot to spend hours with family and friends.Amazing place with rich history and scenic views. The trek is enjoyable, with scenic trails and cool breeze. Don't miss the local snacks at the top perfect after the climb. A must - visit near Pune!

The trek or road climb is fun and not too long. The view from the top is amazing, especially during monsoon when everything turns lush green. Clouds move around you, sometimes covering everything, and the wind feels like it can lift you up. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and worth the trip. Food stalls at the top serve authentic rural Maharashtrian food—pithla-bhakri, curd, kanda bhaji, and lime sharbat. After the climb, it tastes even better. It’s a perfect weekend spot for nature lovers, trekkers, history fans, or anyone needing a break from the city.

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Kondhwa, ISKCON NVCC Pune stands as a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. This architectural gem features a stunning golden dome and intricately designed chandeliers that enhance its spiritual ambiance. The temple beautifully marries traditional aesthetics with modern design, creating an inviting space for worship and meditation. Visitors can immerse themselves in various spiritual activities such as bhajans, enlightening talks, and meditation sessions.
My recent visit to ISKCON NVCC (New Vedic Cultural Centre) in Pune was a truly refreshing and spiritual experience. Located in the serene area of Katraj-Kondhwa, this temple complex is not just a place of worship but a complete retreat that soothes the mind, body, and soul. I stayed at their guesthouse (the first house near the temple), and from the moment I arrived, I was struck by the cleanliness, calmness, and divine energy that surrounded the place. The rooms were simple yet very comfortable, offering a sense of peace rarely found elsewhere. The temple architecture is magnificent – beautifully designed in traditional style with marble interiors, intricate carvings, and a majestic presence of Sri Sri Radha Vrindavanchandra, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai, and Jagannath Baladev Subhadra. The morning and evening aartis were spiritually uplifting, and the atmosphere filled with chanting and devotion made the experience unforgettable. A highlight of my stay was dining at the Govindam Restaurant within the temple premises. The food was absolutely divine – pure vegetarian, sattvic, and prepared with love. Every dish tasted wholesome, balanced, and delicious. The ambiance was calm, the service was warm, and the overall experience was satisfying both for the stomach and the soul.

ISKCON Katraj Temple is one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places in Pune. Nestled near the lush hills of Katraj, it offers a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The temple is beautifully built with intricate architecture and a calm, devotional atmosphere. The moment you enter, you can feel the positive energy — the chanting of Hare Krishna, the aroma of incense, and the sight of devotees create a deeply spiritual vibe. The idols of Lord Krishna and Radha are beautifully adorned, and the evening aarti is truly mesmerizing. There’s also a pure vegetarian restaurant (Govinda’s) nearby, serving delicious prasadam and sattvic meals. The temple premises are clean, well maintained, and ideal for families, devotees, or anyone seeking peace and reflection. Parking charge for two wheeler is 10 rs.

I think this is one of the best ISKCON temples I’ve visited. While all ISKCON temples have their own charm, this one stands out for its beautiful infrastructure and serene surroundings. Right at the entrance, you’re greeted by a stunning statue of Lord Krishna with Kaliya Naag and a fountain — it immediately gives a divine and refreshing feeling. The inner atmosphere is filled with peace, and the spiritual vibe is truly outstanding. On the outer walls, stories of Lord Krishna are beautifully depicted, allowing devotees to walk through Kanha’s charitra while taking pradakshina. The facilities are also well-managed — free shoe racks and tap water for hand washing are provided. Overall, an excellent place to experience devotion, peace, and divine energy.

The security staff are polite and helpful, and the cleaning team keeps everything neat and spotless. The temple management is excellent — everything is well organized, from entry to darshan. If you’re coming by Metro, get down at Swargate Metro Station, then either book a cab or take a bus to Katraj Depot. From Katraj, take another bus towards Kondhwa and get down at the 7th stop (Gokul Nagar). From there, it’s just a 5–10 minute walk to the temple. A perfect place to spend some peaceful time, connect spiritually, and feel truly positive vibes. 🙏✨

Calm and peaceful place. DARSHAN is free and took no time. Within ISKON, back side balaji mandir. Do visit. If time permits, do some some good items, int he ISKON exlusive store. I bought 2 packs of agarbattis (140/- each pack) and fragrance is super. After you exit have food break in the canteen (only veg). Prices are okay. You get fried rice, chole bhature (around 120/-). For visitors parking, no place inside the premises, but need to keep vehicle in the neighbour Socity with parking fee 10/- two wheeler. Over all good place to visit with family. Radhe Radhe... Diveagar Beach

Nature & Parks
Diveagar Beach is a hidden gem along the stunning Konkan Coast, nestled in Maharashtra's Raigad district, just 170 kilometers from Mumbai. This picturesque destination boasts an enchanting blend of lush greenery and sparkling azure waters, complemented by soft white sands that invite relaxation. Unlike many flat beaches, Diveagar features wavy shores and strong tides from the Arabian Sea, making it a fantastic spot for sea surfing enthusiasts.
If you ever feel like life’s getting a bit too loud, Diveagar Beach is the kind of place that softly tells you, “It’s okay, breathe.” The first thing you notice is the silence—not the awkward kind, but the calming kind. The kind where the sound of the waves and rustling trees become your background music. The beach is wide, clean, and mostly untouched. No flashy lights, no chaos—just you, the sand, and the sea. I sat there for hours without checking my phone. I didn’t even realize how much I needed that stillness. Families were playing, a few kids running around, and some locals selling snacks with warm smiles—but nothing felt rushed or commercial. Just simple moments, the kind you wish you could pause. The sunset hit different here. It wasn’t just pretty—it felt emotional, like nature was wrapping up the day with a soft goodbye. Diveagar isn’t a “tourist attraction.” It’s a gentle escape. It doesn’t try to impress you—it just lets you be. And sometimes, that’s all you really need.

Beautiful beach and very long. It's a little bit flat, but good waves even during low tides. Lots of fun activities at the beach too. Fantastic beach to visit.

Calm and peaceful beach. But cleanness needs to be maintained by government as well as visitors. Nearby food vendors are too kind and pricing is also decent.

I recently visited Diveagar Beach, and it turned out to be one of the cleanest beaches I’ve seen. It wasn’t too crowded when I went, though I’ve heard it gets quite busy on weekends. There are plenty of water sports to enjoy — parasailing costs around ₹1200 per person, while most other activities range between ₹200–₹400. The weather was rainy during my visit, which made the surroundings even more peaceful and beautiful. I really enjoyed spending my weekend there. If you’re looking for a calm two-day getaway by the sea, Diveagar Beach is definitely worth visiting. One tip — choose your restaurant carefully, as the food can be a bit pricey and not always worth the cost.

Nice place for one or two night stay with family. There are many hotels of different range nearby, however it is suggested to do advance booking. The beach is beautiful, excellent for photography, their are water sports available for all age groups. Food joints are available and you can enjoy authentic konkani sea food here.

Diveagar Beach, Maharashtra – A Peaceful Coastal Retreat Diveagar Beach, located along the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, is a serene and relatively less crowded beach, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Known for its natural beauty, the beach stretches over a long shoreline with soft sand that has a slightly blackish tint, giving it a unique look compared to other beaches in the region. The waves here are gentle, and the beach remains clean and well-maintained, making it ideal for a relaxing walk or spending time with family and friends. The best time to visit is during the evening, when the sun begins to set. The sky turns golden, and the cool sea breeze makes the atmosphere incredibly calming and picturesque. Sunset views at Diveagar are truly a treat for photographers and nature lovers. There are a few stalls nearby selling coconut water, snacks, and local delicacies. While not overly commercialized, the beach still offers basic amenities and a laid-back vibe. It’s a great spot for people who want to escape the crowd and enjoy the simple beauty of the sea. Overall, Diveagar Beach is a hidden gem in Maharashtra — perfect for evening visits, soulful walks, and unwinding by the Arabian Sea. Highly recommended for a peaceful beach day.

Do try MODAK! Beach is good and clean. Try to be there on Thursday, so you can have less crowd as compared to weekends. Most probably if you reach early enough at 5 or 6am you will see a good sunrise with less crowd. Do carry good footwear and do not bring expensive gears with yourselves.

This picturesque beach offers a variety of water sports like surfing and parasailing, making it an ideal spot for adventure enthusiasts. Visitors can also enjoy camping by setting up tents on the shore and having bonfires in the evening. Very soothing beach and view. Though the waves are very strong here, you can enjoy the view by sitting, watching the waves, and feeling the breeze on the white sand. One of the best beach of western coast which have white sand.

This is not the correct location in map Exact kashid beach is approximately 200-300 metres away from this location. From this location go straight you will see I ❤️ Kashid board and also you will find lot of cars parked. From there you have to reach beach

The sand on this is soft as silk. Although you'll find shells and corals if you move towards the shore. A lane of huts setup around the beach where you can relax, enjoy the sea view while you're on the net hammock swing, enjoy the fish or local cuisine which is prepared by local women's and served with love.
Saeed M — Google review
Lovely beach, filled with white sands glowing sky amidst dark blue Arabian Sea. From Nagaon it took about an hour to reach Kashid city. Beach has parking place. As you take a turn and enter Kashid, you get to view the beach surrounded by black stones. There are camel and horse rides organised in the beach, while motor rides and bullock horse rides are popular. Surrounded by lush greenery, mountains, mangroves this beach is popular for sunset. There are shops for shoppers and street food for foodies. A beach not to miss visiting from Alibaug.

Decent beach as compared to Revdanda or others around.. Good white sand and fairly neat. Some water sports also available here.

Prefer your own vehicle. Beach is clear and scenic. Food is available along with some nonveg and veg . Veg is limited, maghi anda poha . Coastel road is too good to drive. 30 rupees cost for a bucket of water after sea bath. Photogenic pics. Liquor is not available, carry your own. 11 to 3 pm time is too hot. After sunset should leave the beach(no public transport). Sunrise time is so good. Nature loving person will like it. Water sports like jets ski, banana ride, dragon ride also available.
Alok G — Google review
The beach was very clean and well-maintained, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you’re planning to visit Alibaug, I personally recommend going to Kashid Beach — it’s much better than the other beaches nearby.

Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Large amusement park with rides, water slides, restaurants & an indoor park with artificial snow.
Truly one of the best theme parks in India till date. I visited during the off-season, so there was hardly any crowd—which was a big plus! I got to enjoy some of the top rides like Nitro, Gold Rush, and Deep Space not just once, but two to three times without long waiting lines. These rides are a must-try if you love thrill and adventure. The morning parade brings the park to life with characters and music, and the evening light and water show is a perfect way to end the day—really well done and full of energy. The quality of food inside the park restaurants is also surprisingly good, with decent options for both kids and adults. Overall, it's a complete day of fun, adventure, and entertainment.

Imagica is located at khopoli (approx 2 hours drive from Pune). It has a Theme park and a water park . One day is sufficient to do either of the two. In case one plans to do both; 2 full days are required. The rides are amazing and fun with family/ friends. Tickets can be booked online / offline. There are eateries inside the park. Amada serving amazing pizzas. Red bonnet serving fab burgers. Thali, buffet and jain food is also available. Locker facility available inside the park for your belongings. For water park dry fit attire is necessary. One can change once they r done with the rides. After 6 pm when the rides are closed there is a carnival in the premises. Also the park looks beautiful after sunset because of the lighting and fountains.

Imagica truly feels magical the moment you enter. Kids and adults enjoy rides equally Water flume ride = guaranteed fun & getting soaked Classic carousel = perfect for kids Indoor shooting ride = friendly competition Evening lighting = breathtaking The lake area becomes a photo-perfect spot after sunset The park is beautifully maintained, vibrant, and designed for family fun. --- ⚠️ Important Note: Crowd & Waiting Time Because we went during the Diwali peak break, the park was fully packed. Popular rides had 60–120 minute waiting Long queues even at food counters Only limited rides could be covered in one day Conclusion: Holiday seasons, long weekends, and school breaks = heavy crowd. --- 🎟️ Most Important Tip: Book EXPRESS Tickets If you’re going during a busy period (Diwali, New Year, summer vacation, long weekends), Express Tickets are strongly recommended. Yes, they cost extra — but they: ✔️ Reduce waiting time by 70–80% ✔️ Let you enjoy more rides ✔️ Save energy (especially with kids) ✔️ Make the trip stress-free Honestly, during festive seasons, Express Pass is the smartest and most valuable choice. --- 🕒 Best Time to Visit Imagica ✔️ Best Days (Less Crowd) Weekdays Non-holiday periods April-end to early June (exam season) 2–3 days after festivals ✔️ Best Time to Reach Park opens at 10:00 AM Recommended arrival: 9:15–9:30 AM (for parking & security) ✔️ Start Your Day With These Rides (shorter lines in morning) Nitro Deep Space Rajasaurus Scream Machine ✔️ Evening Parade & lighting show around 6 PM Lake area is perfect for photos --- 🧭 Planning Tips Before You Go ✔️ Book tickets online 2–3 days earlier ✔️ Carry water bottles, cap, and power bank ✔️ For kids, a stroller is helpful ✔️ Carry a rain poncho in monsoon season ✔️ Outside food is not allowed, but food combos are available inside --- 🏁 Final Verdict — Should You Visit? Absolutely YES! Imagica is one of the best family theme parks in India with amazing rides, beautiful ambiance, and great entertainment. But remember: ✔️ Holiday Season = Heavy crowd ✔️ Express Ticket = Best investment ✔️ Weekdays = Best overall experience Plan smart, go early, and your Imagica trip will turn into an unforgettable memory for your family!

A Magical Day at Imagica, With a Word of Advice! Our family visited Adlabs Imagica on October 21st, and what a day it was! From the moment we walked in, the park felt vibrant. The kids (and adults!) loved the rides. We had a blast getting soaked on the water flume, taking a spin on the classic carousel, and getting competitive on the indoor shooting ride. As evening fell, the park completely transformed with beautiful lights, making the whole place feel truly magical, especially the area around the lake. However, we need to share a very important tip. Our visit coincided with the peak Diwali festival break, and we weren't the only ones with the idea! The park was packed with families, which created a fantastic, festive atmosphere but also meant one thing: a huge rush. This led to a massive number of people in the queues and, as you'd expect, very long waiting times for all the popular rides. We still managed to have a great time and make wonderful memories (the pictures prove it!), but the waiting definitely took up a big part of our day. So, here is our number one piece of advice for anyone planning to visit Imagica during a busy period like Diwali, a long weekend, or any school holiday: It is highly advised to book the Express tickets. It might cost extra, but it will save you hours of standing in line and let you enjoy far more of the amazing attractions the park has to offer. Overall, a fantastic park for family fun, but plan smart during the holidays!

Imagica is a really good place to visit with friends and family. Wide variety of rides. Loved deep space ride, it's dark like space with starry ceiling and the speed of 200km/hour the twist and turns will surely challenge your brain equilibrium. Loved it the most. Then nitro roller coaster 160km/hour was amazing too. Gold rush with the speed of 80km/hour is at 3rd rank for me after Deep space and nitro. I for india, Mr india, salimghadh/ banghadh, were good too. Dead drop was a slight disappointing. Chota Bheem ride for kids, sloch monster were good for kids. Dancer / performer's were good treat. The water fountain show at the end of the day was soothing.

⚠️ Disappointing Experience at Alibag Beach Our visit to Alibag Beach was quite disappointing. The place was extremely crowded, with food stalls, rides, and people everywhere — it felt chaotic, and there was barely any space to relax or enjoy the beach. The parking situation was terrible, and there seemed to be no proper crowd management or supervision by the authorities. Even though the area has been recently renovated, the beach was littered with food waste and not maintained well. Overall, it’s not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful or clean beach experience. There are much better, quieter beaches nearby like Nandgaon or Kashid that offer a more relaxing atmosphere. 🌊🚫

Alibaug beach is a popular destination in Maharashtra known for its clean, blackish coastline and views of Kolaba Fort. Activities include walking, sunbathing, buggy rides, and visiting the nearby Ganpati temple and the historic fort. It is easily accessible from Mumbai and serves as a lively hub for locals and tourists, with numerous food stalls and a well-built platform for safe enjoyment of the sea, though it lacks facilities for motorized water sports.

"Not worth visiting. The beach is extremely dirty and overcrowded. With a ₹50 entry fee, it feels like a waste, especially when there are many cleaner and more peaceful beaches nearby. I’d recommend exploring other options in the area."

Alibaug Beach is a popular coastal getaway near Mumbai, known for its clean sands, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere. The beach is ideal for a relaxing stroll, enjoying sunsets, and light water activities. While it's not the best for swimming due to occasional rocky patches, its charm lies in the tranquil vibe and easy access from the city. Local snacks and nearby forts add to the experience.

Charlotte Lake, also known as Sharlott Lake, is a serene reservoir located 2 kilometers from Matheran Railway Station in Maharashtra. It is a popular tourist destination and a must-visit spot in the best hill station of Maharashtra. The lake is at its fullest during the monsoon season, offering a picturesque view with its small dam and waterfalls. Surrounded by lush green forests, it provides an ideal setting for nature enthusiasts, peace seekers, and bird watchers.
This is probably the best place to spend time with the company of calmness in Matheran. To reach Charlotte Lake, it would require a little trekking following the trail in the wild. The lake is beautiful, totally worth the little trek to reach there. It feels peaceful to sit by the lake especially when you've got good company along with you. It's definitely a must visit place in Matheran.

Charlotte Lake & Lord’s View Point are next to each other. It’s known for the pretty sunsets, there are small stores close by that sell snacks and tea. It’s a small hike for 15min from the main path. It is super safe both at day and night to walk through the forest. I would recommend this place if you’re at Matheran for visit.

It's a must-visit if you're heading to this beautiful hill station. This serene spot lets you sit quietly by the lake, absorb the tranquility, and truly feel connected to nature. To reach the lake, you'll need to trek a bit through the forest — a refreshing and adventurous experience. While horse rides are also available, the walk through the woods is something you shouldn’t miss. ⚠️ A word of caution: During the monsoon, the path can get slippery, and accidents have happened in the past — so please be careful if you’re visiting during the rains.

This lake is a good place to visit in Matheran. The walkway to the lake is quite scenic. The lake is artificial and small but there is a nice view of landscape on the other side.
