Savina Monastery is a serene complex located just outside the town, featuring three hillside churches and religious treasures such as a silver icon, frescoes, and relics. The monastery, named after Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, offers beautiful coastal views from its position on the town's eastern slopes. It includes the elegant 18th-century Church of the Dormition carved from Croatian pinkish stone.
Very pleasant little monastery. Probably not our favourite in Montenegro, but defo worth a little diversion to it if you’re in the area. Lots of gold leaf, icons and candles as you’d expect. Peaceful grounds and a large cemetery over various levels. A nice viewpoint from up in the hill.
Mike R — Google review
Unfortunately, the main church is under reconstruction. Only the small one is open for a visit. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and peaceful area to walk around and relax.
Jolita — Google review
This is a beautiful place with commanding views across the bay. It's an easy walk up from the coast and worth the effort. The main chapel is undergoing a major restoration so access is not permitted but the doors were open allowing you to see in. There are great views of the church and the bay from the steeply tiered Graveyard. Glad we made the journey.
IAN M — Google review
Absolutely stunning - we had a bit of a walk to the place from the winery but glad that we took the stairs down because like many Orthodox monasteries, this one is very well adorned. Additionally, they have a nice shop on-site with icons, wine, etc., so please do go and support them in that way. My quite a five star experience because the church was undergoing refurbishment and we could not do much but it is a very peaceful property and I was happy to see it.
Andrew M — Google review
It’s a Monastery/ Church so as a tourist place 3 stars, not attractive. But has non tourists value for people comming to pray.
Kamil N — Google review
Peaceful small monastery partly under construction. Ask if the museum is open if you like icons and get a bottle of wine from the nearby winery who can was associated with the monastery but isn’t now if I understand

Nestled along the stunning Adriatic coast, the Old Town of Herceg Novi is a captivating medieval fortress that invites visitors to explore its rich history and charming architecture. With narrow stone streets winding through the town, you'll discover picturesque plazas adorned with centuries-old churches. The iconic Clock Tower, dating back to the 17th century, stands proudly at the heart of this historic area alongside Kanli Kula Fortress, which not only offers breathtaking views but also serves as a cultural hub for summer events.
An impressive old town... very cute and small in size...with a church at the middle and small lanes with cafe/restaurants and stores.... there are few stores that are very old in this street...
Rafeeque A — Google review
It’s a very cute a small city center, the little church in the middle of the main square is a picturesque view. Maps are scattered all around and help you navigate, very nice touch. The only thing I did not like was the state in which the fortresses are kept, I would have expected more since they’re candidates to enter the UNESCO sites list. The parking is really difficult, since the only way to pay is through SMS, very difficult with an eSIM that only has internet (App was not working).
Greta&Ludo — Google review
Visited this town a couple of times. A coastal historic town with a beautiful small church up hillside. Spanish Fort further up plus another Fort near to coast. A walkway goes under a clock tower leading to nice plaza area. Good restaurants and bars within this town. If walk out of town going pass coastal Fort after 1 km arrive at another church set in peaceful grounds.
Steve D — Google review
Vibe is truly impressive, it feels like a little Italy. Surrounding, architecture are great. There are several pizzerias in front of the Clock Tower and if you walk down narrow street behind the square you will be passing by clothes shops and a mini market Voli

Very quaint place. There are a couple of places to drink and eat in the main square. There's also a very small church in the square. I recommend Belavista. Less than €4 for a pint of Czech beer.
Nigel H — Google review
The Old Town of Herceg Novi is a hidden gem on the Montenegrin coast, offering a perfect blend of history, charm, and stunning sea views. Nestled on a hillside, the town is a maze of narrow stone streets, centuries-old buildings, and charming squares that tell the story of various civilizations—Ottoman, Venetian, Austro-Hungarian—all of which left their mark on the architecture and atmosphere. The main square, Belavista, is the heart of the old town and features the beautiful St. Michael’s Church with its unique blend of styles. Climbing the Kanli Kula fortress rewards you with panoramic views over the Bay of Kotor, especially magical during sunset. The Clock Tower, built by the Turks in the 17th century, stands as one of the town’s most iconic landmarks and serves as a gateway to this historic core. What sets Herceg Novi apart is its authentic, less-touristy feel compared to nearby cities like Kotor or Budva. Local cafes, family-run restaurants, and art galleries add life without overcrowding. The stone stairways connecting the town to the coastline create a unique vertical experience. This is a place where history, tranquility, and coastal beauty meet. For travelers seeking culture with a view, Herceg Novi’s Old Town delivers.
Ammar A — Google review
Charming old city square, it is very small and that gives it special taste. In tourist periods must be crowded and may be even difficult to move around because of that.
Wielkopolanin — Google review
Definetly worth visiting 🥰 Less crowded than other tourist attractions in Kotor bay

Hercegovačka Gračanica Temple

Churches & Cathedrals
Perched on a hill above Trebinje, the Hercegovačka Gračanica Temple is a stunning Byzantine-style church and monastery that offers breathtaking views of the city and surrounding mountains. This Serbian Orthodox church boasts colorful wall frescoes, a gilded altar, and houses the tomb of renowned poet Jovan Dučić.
Fabulous place to visit. We walked/hiked. Took 30mins from the old town bridges. Was easier than expected. Don't follow the road used by cars - it's longer. Google maps beforehand for a short cut through a quiet neighbourhood, then a 400m clearly marked track up the last part of the hill. Sunset is best. Lovely place to have a drink. Everything is fresh & new. Only built in 2000.
Stefan P — Google review
Visited in April 2024 This monastery is special because it is a replica of the one in Kosovo, hence its importance to followers of the Serbian Orthodox faith. Whether inside or outside the buildings, one is struck by how peaceful it is, not to mention the beautiful views all around you. The ceiling of the main church rivals someone the best in the world and the tomb of Jovan Ducic can be seen in the corner. In short, do not miss if you are in the area. The climb to the top is a little steep but you can also drive, if need be.
Andrew M — Google review
The Church of the Annunciation, being located on the top of the hill, offers an excellent panoramic view of the city of Trebigne, a beautiful, well-kept and quiet Orthodox place of worship. In the churchyard there is also a restaurant with a terrace where we had breakfast. Parking and toilets are free.
Binebre S — Google review
What an amazing temple and area this place is. Once you drive all the way to the top you are greated by such an amazing scenery. I could not believe how beautiful it was. One of the best hill view in Bosnia. The inside of the temple is also one of the pretiest I have ever seen. If you are in the area I highly recommend to go there and visit the temple and admire the amazing landscape displayed in front of you.
Sakina K — Google review
A beautiful temple on top of a hill with great views on the city of Trebinje. There's also a cafe on top. The only downside is the way there, if you are travelling by car you can park there comfortably but by foot it's a 2.5km hike from the city center uphill.
David H — Google review
Beautiful church perched on a small hill and has a great view over the whole of Trebinje. There’s a cafe next door and a huge carpark. There was an event when we went and the place was crowded and we almost couldn’t find a parking lot but the vibes were great.
Jane H — Google review
We walked up from Trebinje’s old town—about 30 minutes of gentle uphill, with birdsong and cypress shade as our companions. The path winds through quiet neighborhoods before opening up to a breathtaking view: the Hercegovačka Gračanica Temple, perched like a crown on Crkvina Hill. The temple itself is a serene masterpiece. Byzantine-style architecture, vivid frescoes, and a gilded altar that catches the light just so. Built to honor poet Jovan Dučić’s final wish, it’s both a spiritual sanctuary and a poetic tribute. Don’t miss the embedded stone from Kosovo—a subtle nod to heritage and memory. There’s a cozy café nearby if you want to linger with the view. Whether you walk or drive, this place rewards you with peace, perspective, and a panorama that feels like a blessing.

Lokrum is an essential stop for anyone exploring Dubrovnik. This small island, just a short boat ride away from the city's old harbor, offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Visitors can wander through pine woods, explore a botanical garden with exotic plants, stroll along shaded paths, and enjoy stunning views of Dubrovnik and the open sea. The island also features an old Benedictine monastery that now houses a restaurant, adding to its historical charm.
Great place to visit. beautiful island with great history. amazing places to swim. easy to spend a day there . and I got to sit on the Iron throne (from game of thrones) great views of Dubrovnik. cafes and nice places to sit and enjoy a drink.
Vlad C — Google review
Amazing island is waiting to be discovered. We were very glad that we had the chance to visit this amazing place. With a ferry every 30 minutes you can get there early and spend the day exploring the place. The is a lot of walking to be done if you do want to explore the island but you can reward yourself with a swim either in the Dead Sea or by the rocks. There's a restaurant on the island, a cafe/ bar and another one by the lake.
Kypriopoulla — Google review
Visiting Lokrum Island was an absolute highlight of our trip to Dubrovnik. We definitely enjoyed our time on this beautiful, tranquil nature reserve. It’s the perfect, accessible escape from the Old Town crowds. Getting there is quick and straightforward. It’s just a 15-minute ferry ride from the city's Old Port. We found ticket purchasing to be easy, whether you opt to buy online or at the counter right in the port. Once on the island, you immediately feel the difference. It truly is a beautifully silent, isolated place, filled with lush greenery and the most lovely peacocks who roam the grounds freely. For activities, there are great offers to swim in the crystal-clear Adriatic, so be sure to pack your bathing suit. And for Game of Thrones fans, the Iron Throne is here! I highly recommend dedicating at least a half-day to exploring this wonderful, peaceful haven.
Lütfü C — Google review
A must visit especially for the fans of the Games of Thrones. The throne is here and many people choose to lineup for a photo opt. The ferry services to and from the island are at the old port that’s a 15 minute boat ride. The boat schedule runs every 30 minutes with two boats. The ticket sales can be purchased online or at the ticket booth. It’s 30 euros round trip including admission. You’ll find many areas to swim and enjoy the scenery. The popular swimming spots have lifeguards. There are restaurants and eateries located throughout the island. Worth a visit and less crowds here.
Melanie E — Google review
This is a magical place only 10-15 minutes boat ride from Dubrovnik port. It is a protected island and there are plenty of beautiful peacocks all around the place. For GoT lovers this is the city of Qarth. You will find maps all over the island with the important locations that you have to visit, there is a beautiful beach and a lake. The boat to the island costs 30 euros per person but you get a 20% discount if you have the city pass. Totally recommend it, you cannot miss it if you visit Dubrovnik
Nefeli P — Google review
The Island of Lokrum is a beautiful place to visit with the family. 🌿 The scenery is amazing, and it’s a great spot to swim, relax, and explore. You’ll also enjoy seeing the animals roaming around and the variety of trees and plants across the island. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s quite a bit of walking involved 😛—so be prepared with comfortable shoes. Overall, it’s a fun, natural, and refreshing experience.
Amer H — Google review
It was fine. The trails up to the observatory are horrible and should not be attempted by anyone unfamiliar to long hikes or rough trails. The descent is no better. The beaches are rocks but the swimming appears good. They clearly want you to stay by the parts they can make money off you by their bar and cabana by the rocks. The ferry is timely and the trip is easy and quick. Overall if you can take you own boat or trip plan to spent €30 to hang out and bring drinks/snacks to hang by the water it is worth it. Otherwise save your money and just go to a beach
Colin K — Google review
We visited Lokrum Island off-season, so it wasn’t crowded at all. The boat ride from Dubrovnik itself was already an amazing experience, and the trip is definitely worth the price. The island is beautiful, lush and green, with a few cafes and restaurants to relax in. There are also plenty of spots to sunbathe and enjoy the sea. A must-visit, especially for Game of Thrones fans! And of course the peacocks😱😍🦚🏰🌊

Ascend to new heights with a ride on the Dubrovnik Cable Car, a 4-minute journey that whisks you 778 meters up to a plateau boasting breathtaking views of the Old City. At the summit, you can savor a meal at the panoramic restaurant while taking in the picturesque backdrop of Dubrovnik's terracotta roofs and the expansive Adriatic Sea.
Expensive but worth the money! I think kids should be under 16 though, not under 12. We have teenagers and so €30 per person return becomes really expensive for the family. Not too long to wait, even in August! I recommend eating at the restaurant at the top. It is well worth the money for the fantastic view and the food is good. I also recommend visiting the war museum at the top, which we all found very informative and I found actually that my teenagers could relate to this more easily than the world wars, since it was relatively recent. It is so shocking to see images of Dubrovnik under attack. The views from the top of the cable car are of course fantastic.
Barbara E — Google review
You can buy tickets at the entrance. We bought only cable car tickets, but there are also Dubrovnik card tickets available. Sunset is a peak hour. You can walk down with nice view to the city. If you walk aside a little bit (sunset direction) there will be less crowded spots to enjoy the sunset.
Rostislav P — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Worth every penny. We went on a sunny day. The day we wanted to go the cable cars were not running due to high winds and rain.. so we drove up the narrow road that leads up to that point. I would not fo that. It's a 2 way narrow road. If u can gallows either taxis or someone it's fine otherwise pulling over is hard on to gravel.
Joanna L — Google review
Gorgeous views over Dubrovnik. Sunset was amazing from the top. Walk a little towards the left (cable car behind you) to find some beautiful nature and even better views. We also bumped into a herd of goats. Queue down after sunset was almost 1h, right before no queue whatsoever (neither up or down).
Fredrica B — Google review
The only negative for this cable car ride is the cost of round trip for 30 EUR. You can get a flight ticket from London dubrovnik for the exact same price, and the views will make you feel you redeem the cost of it but I remember paying much lesser fee for longer cable car rides. The views are amazing , there is only one half decent restaurant on the top to have a beer and enjoy the views, and if you are going around sunset time, the uphill rides become very crowded and long queues so plan your trip accordingly
Pavan N — Google review
Recommend taking the cable car... great views and access to a swish restaurant/bar at the top. 30 euros for a return trip but well worth it. Smooth journey. Takes about 5 minutes. Didn't eat at the restaurant but had lovely, reasonably priced, drinks whilst enjoying the fabulous views.
Lorraine K — Google review
It was okay overall. You do have great views of the old town. I wish I had gone up during sunset. I recommend only going up iif the weather is good otherwise the view wouldn't be worth going up. I didn't eat in the restaurant but would recommend getting a drink to soak up her views. If you have time, I suggest getting a one way ticket and then hiking back down Mount which takes around 30-40 minutes if you’re in good physical condition.
Kris — Google review
The Dubrovnik Cable Car is one of the best experiences to do in the city! The ride up is smooth and the views over the Old Town, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding islands are absolutely breathtaking. The time spent at the top was amazing — whether enjoying the scenery, taking photos, or just relaxing. A must-do when visiting Dubrovnik!

Stradun is a lively limestone-paved pedestrian street located in the historic center of Dubrovnik. This car-free area within medieval walls is bustling with activity, offering a plethora of narrow alleys filled with charming restaurants and cafes. Visitors can opt for vacation rentals in the heart of the ancient town, providing an immersive experience unlike that of a typical hotel stay. In the morning, one can soak up the vibrant atmosphere on Stradun, taking in sights such as St.
The heart of the old town! I recommend not shopping too much- we bought shirts, hats, sunglasses etc… then found other stores in out of town shopping malls with much cheaper prices. You can’t best the atmosphere of this street though!

This is a main street in the old town and is busy with shops and restaurants. It is especially lovely in the evenings, it is alive with activity
Michelle B — Google review
Beautiful but super crowded. You feel like you are stuck in someone’s pocket. You wanna take a picture you have 1000 people in front of you, either blocking the view or waiting to take the same picture. The food (mainly pastries and ice cream) around there was expensive and not very good quality. The boulevard looks nice if you get there super early in the morning, like 6am to see it empty.

Main Street of Old Town, Dubrovnik . Full of people at all times. The souvenirs there are selling here are at high price, understandable.
J — Google review
Stradun (Placa) – The Shining Heartbeat of Dubrovnik This dazzling limestone-paved main street – affectionately called Stradun by locals – is the soul of the Old Town and one of the most beautiful pedestrian promenades in Europe. Polished smooth by centuries of footsteps, it gleams like marble under the sun and turns into a mirror of lights at night. Stretching 300 perfect metres from Pile Gate to Ploče Gate, it’s framed by uniform baroque façades rebuilt after the 1667 earthquake, with charming little side alleys hiding staircases, fountains, and hidden cafés. Morning coffee on the shiny stones, the sound of the city bell tower marking the hour, evening passeggiata when everyone strolls arm-in-arm, and the magical glow after dark when the crowds thin and the street feels like yours alone – every moment here is pure Dubrovnik romance. Grab a gelato, sit on the steps of Orlando’s Column or by Onofrio’s Fountain, and watch the world go by. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, walking the Stradun never gets old. The most iconic street in the Adriatic…

A clean and tidy main esplanade through the old town. Lots of space to move around and and many side streets to explore with restaurants and bars wherever you look. The floor stones can be a bit slippery when its been raining, but have a lovely shine to them and incredibly well preserved and maintained. No vehicles allowed so a great place to walk around in peace and enjoy the town. The esplanade runs from the Pule gate to the port to the east.

Stradun is the main street in the Old Town - it connects Pile Gate to the Old Town's harbor, effectively dividing into northern and southern sections. Stradun is lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and historical attractions, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists

The Dubrovnik porta pile museum, located at the entrance to the historical Old Town, is home to one of the city's most recognizable landmarks - the Pile City Gate. The gate was originally built in 1537 and features two enormous stone arches connected by a wooden drawbridge. It is now approached by a stone bridge that crosses what was once the moat of Dubrovnik.
Gate to the old town for people with strollers - no stairs there. Also for people with limited mobility such as wheelchairs etc.

Pile Gate – The Majestic Welcome to Dubrovnik’s Old Town Pile Gate, or Porta Pile, is more than just an entrance — it’s a dramatic threshold between the modern world and the timeless beauty of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Built in the 16th century, this stone gateway has welcomed centuries of travelers, and stepping through it feels like entering a living museum. Approaching the gate, you’ll first cross a charming stone bridge over a now-dry moat, once filled with water for defensive purposes. Above the arch, the statue of St. Blaise, Dubrovnik’s patron saint, watches over visitors — a fitting guardian for this historic city. The outer gate is part of a layered defense system, with an inner gate and a short tunnel-like corridor that adds to the feeling of entering a fortress. Despite its military origins, today Pile Gate is all about energy and atmosphere. As you pass through, the iconic Stradun — the city’s gleaming main street — opens up before you, buzzing with life, cafes, and centuries of history underfoot.
Tatton P — Google review
The Pile Gate is the main access road to the old town of Dubrovnik also due to the fact that the loading and unloading point of tourist buses is located nearby. Built in 1537, this monumental gate is the oldest of the four existing. It's the first of the two main gates from this side.

Gate i.e. entrance to the Dubrovnik old town. It's crowded with tourists and locals. Please be patient. Immediately after the gate there are stairs to the Dubrovnik city walls.
Matej — Google review
Porta Pile (Pile Gate) is the main entrance to Dubrovnik’s Old Town and one of its most iconic landmarks. It’s a stone gate built in the 16th century as part of the city’s defensive walls and serves as a symbolic and functional connection between the modern city and the historic center

Dubrovnik City Walls

Ancient Ruins
A visit to the iconic Dubrovnik City Walls is an absolute must for anyone exploring this stunning coastal gem. Stretching nearly 1,940 meters, these impressive fortifications are among Europe’s finest and feature a mix of round towers, rectangular fortresses, and bastions that date back to the 15th century. As you ascend the main stairway on the western side, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views of both the vibrant Old Town and the sparkling Adriatic Sea.
Great way to see the whole of the Old Town and views out to sea. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Dubrovnik. It's worth getting the Dubrovnik Pass which will allow you access to the Walls and many other activities/sites in Dubrovnik.
Leanna S — Google review
The 'must do' thing when you are in Dubrovnik. On a good day you can see for miles from the top of the walls and it is probably the best place to view the old city buildings from. There are really nice views of Fort Lovrijenac from the walls and you can spot lots of Game of Thrones filming locations from them. Highly recommended and don't forget that the price includes a visit to Lovrijenac as well.
Tim L — Google review
Breathtaking views every corner. A lot of stairs but it’s totally worth it. We didn’t purchase the one day pass to go inside the city wall, we just purchased the city wall pass and it was €10. Highly recommended place.
Mahvic C — Google review
Amazing city walls, absolutely beautiful scenery from everywhere you walk. The walls are in amazing condition and are so clean and well looked after. Lots of walking and lots and lots of steps, but worth it for the views.
Nina V — Google review
Beautiful scenery - it shows you the true glory of Dubrovnik. We went during a rainy day and even then it was still gorgeous. Lots of little cafes along the way with toilets (which we used to hide out in during the heavy rain!)
Grace X — Google review
The walls are a must do it you are visiting Dubrovnik. It takes about 1.5-2.5 hours to complete as per your place. The views are just fantastic. Wear comfortable shoes. There are a few places to grab something to eat and drink. The wall ticket also gives access to Fort Lorijenac for a duration of 3 days so don't throw it away. The ticket costs 250 HRK. Came to know later that the Dubrovnik card costs 250 HRK and it covers the wall and a bunch of other places so please do check that out first. Best to do first thing in the morning to avoid crowds. Sunset is also a good time for great views
Bharathi M — Google review
The walls of Dubrovnik are iconic, no doubt, but are they worth 35 Euro per person or almost $40? I'm not sure about that. As glamorous as it sounds, walking the walls is not that pleasant. There is no shade up there whatsoever, and the views, though initially stunning, quickly become repetitious, and in concert with the heat, they turn to old news as you start searching for shade, water and eventually the exit. I, for one, did not finish the circuit and bowed out before the heat stroke had the chance to do me in.
Robert C — Google review
Lovely scenery from walls. Costs 35 Euro per person. We have been there with one 6yrs old and one 2.5yrs old, also our foldable stroller was with us. It was not too easy with stroller because you need to carry a lot. If you have foldable and light weight stroller, you can take it with you. The easiest way to start is from Maritime Museum, less steps and easy to climb up. Rest of the entrances have more and steep steps. It is one way walk, and you do not have to take round tour. We left the walls from Pile gate.
Erinc O — Google review
An incredible experience! Would recommend everyone to do it. There are roughly 1000 steps and the distance is approximately 2 kilometres but don't let that fool you, it is a serious workout. They advised that it should take an hour but it took us double that doing it with two small children. In the end the kids were exhausted and we were not able to visit the fort (the City walls entrance ticket allows you access to the nearby Fort Lovrijenac). Would advise to start early in the day if you're visiting in the summer as it gets quite hot post 11am.
Ashwin K — Google review
Great view of the whole city. 35 Euros is a fair amount, but if you're interested in doing something else too (like visiting the fortress outside the walls which is 15 euros on its own) then it makes the price much more justified. There are breaks for food and drinks along the 2.1k walk. Lots of steep stairs, be a bit careful if you don't like heights. Amazing though, definitely recommend as an activity.

Stalwart stone wall popular for countryside views & access to a quaint town, castle & church.
Beautiful view above Ston Wall. There are 2 hikes to the wall: one is "shorter" and forms almost an arch on the mountain, while the other is much, much higher towards the top of the mountain. If you take the shorter hike, when facing the wall, take the entrance on the right hand side. There are a lot of steps but the rise is gradual. For those with mobility issues, I recommend exiting on the same side that you came up on. (The start of the entrance on the left side when facing the wall has much steeper stairs at the start of the hike).
Emmgee — Google review
Nice walk, although a bit challenging. It's one way, so you have to go all the way, and there are A LOT of steps. Don't go if you have a baby stroller or have mobility issues. They have a city parking lot, 1€ per hour. All in all, a sight to behold. Be sure to visit 👍
Tomislav K — Google review
Great historic site and long walk, luckily you have 2 options the short trail or the long one. No shade, in summer bring water with you and wear hat or cap. The view of the city of Ston is nice.
Rania S — Google review
Ston was an amazing day trip from Dubrovnik. Much easier to walk the walls without thousands of tourists in front of you. The town itself is beautiful. Food was also amazing.
Glenn M — Google review
Gorgeous views over Ston and the Mali Ston fortress. The Wall walk takes approximately 45 minutes one way and costs 10€ or 5€ for children and students. The combined ticket also includes entry to the Fortress in Ston. It may get very hot during the summer day as there's no shade on the way up, consider visiting the site in the evening.

This 'Great Wall of Europe' (5km) in Ston has a fascinating history dating back to 1330 - see Wikipedia page. It is a lovely old town with salt plains too...
R C — Google review
Wow, breathtaking views. The walk from Ston to Mali Ston on the walls takes about 45 minutes and it requires some effort, but you are awarded with incredible views. There's a sidewalk between Ston and Mali Ston if you need to come back without going on the walls again.
Razvan E — Google review
The Walls of Ston, often called the “European Great Wall of China,” are an impressive fortress system built to protect the town and its historic salt pans. Their length and defensive design resemble the Great Wall of China, offering both stunning views and a fascinating look into Croatia’s history.

Mljet Island, located off the coast of Croatia, is a haven for nature enthusiasts and adventure lovers. The island boasts picturesque forests, stunning beaches, and a rich cultural heritage. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year, including water sports in summer and outdoor pursuits like hiking and biking in spring and fall. While July and August are peak tourism months due to warm weather, May, June, and September offer a quieter experience.
I had a glorious week here staying at Hotel Odisej. The veiw from my room outstanding only a 3 star hotel however had 5 star customer service from NIKICA*LORENA*JOSIP* The director Lindita was also very hands on too! I planned to walk, swim and drink glorious cocktails at the beach bar. This was my first time to Croatia and my new go from now on. Ps the sea ocean water so clean good for the body! Don't miss the lakes....too.
Yolanda K — Google review
The western side of Mljet is a protected national park with two beautiful saltwater lakes Veliko and Malo Jezero surrounded by forests and peaceful walking trails. We took the electric ferry to the small islet with the old Benedictine monastery but the ride was painfully slow and the destination itself felt a bit underwhelming. Also, make sure to always carry your park entry ticket with you rangers may ask to see it while you’re exploring. The scenery is lovely, but the overall experience didn’t quite meet the hype.
Boxa N — Google review
Beautiful national park with lake inside the island. Walk and bicycle lane. Harbour with a lot of tavernas. Grocery markets. Rent for bicycle, boats, scooters, electrical bicycles

Amazing island, it's small, only 900 inhabitants 😅. Ferry easy from Stone. Lovely natural park. If u love not to much people, 'I went early June, temperature was lovely and water not to cold! Didn't had to order for a table at two of the best restaurants in the island. It's 5 stars for me. If you a person who needs people, bars, more fun as Waterparks, dance, disco.... This is not your place!

The most beautiful island in the south of Croatia, with a national park. The park's lake and nature trails provide an unforgettable experience for nature lovers.

Nr. 1 favourite place in whole Croatia. An island in the adriatic where there is a lake, with another island on it, giving a location to an old church and a nice restaurant. It is a little bit like Bled lake in Slovenia, but with salty water. :) It is a real beauty of nature, could spend there a whole week.
Csaba K — Google review
One of the most beautiful parks we've visited. We rented out bikes and explored the park until we found this beautiful lake. Water was salty and it felt like we were on a beach surrounded by trees.

Blagaj Tekke is a historic Sufi monastery located on the cliffs by the water, featuring a mausoleum and an old Turkish bath. Built in 1520 by the Ottomans as a dervish lodge, it offers a wonderful area to explore while in Bosnia. Visitors can pay a small fee to tour the inside of the monastery or take a short walk up an opposite path for a beautiful view of the shaded area.
Beautiful place, the water is so pretty. Spring coming from a cave with a monastery. There are lots of vendors and restaurants outside the monastery. A nice walking path down to the water and a tiny boat ride across. It’s a cool tourist area but genuine pretty.
Sighting S — Google review
Visiting the Tekija in Blagaj was a truly peaceful and unforgettable experience. The harmony between nature and history is breathtaking — the crystal-clear river, the majestic cliffs, and the serenity of the Dervish house make it one of the most beautiful and spiritual places I’ve ever seen. A must-visit if you're in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

The Islamic monastery of Tekija Blagaj is absolutely impressive! The entrance fee is around 10 km, but it's definitely worth it. Its location, right at the source of the Buna River, is simply breathtaking—surrounded by rocks, water, and beautiful nature. A place full of peace and history. Parking is also available nearby for a small fee. Overall, a fantastic destination that shouldn't be missed when visiting the region!🇧🇦❤️

Incredible place to visit. If you are visiting Bosnia, I would say a must visit. Beautiful historical and natural heritage of Bosnia located at the spring of the Buna river. This spring ranks as one of the largest in whole Europe. Around the spring there are restaurants with a really beautiful view. Of course Blagaj tekke is opened for tourists and you can visit this architectural ensemble in and out.
M K — Google review
A short drive from Mostar and the place looks magical. We went on an evening in Ocotber and practically had the place to ourselves. You can also walk upto the monastery though we skipped it, and there are many restaurants around too where you can relax with a view. There is a parking lot nearby in walking distance and I had read previous reviews that they collect money, but surprisingly on the day and time we went there was noone there to collect.
Amruth M — Google review
Blagaj, which is the source of the Buna River and home to a beautiful Dervish Monastery nestled beside a cave and mountain. Entry to the monastery is €5. Some visitors were praying inside, and we were told that Dervish gatherings still take place here on Mondays and Fridays, lasting anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
Storee — Google review
Blagaj Alperenler Tekke is one of the most impressive and peaceful spots in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Built at the base of towering cliffs beside the crystal-clear Buna River, this historic Sufi lodge offers a unique harmony of nature and history. With its simple yet elegant Ottoman architecture, spiritual atmosphere, and surrounding natural beauty, it provides visitors with an unforgettable experience both visually and spiritually. A hidden paradise for those seeking tranquility, history, and reflection.

Apparition Hill

Pilgrimage place
Nature & Parks
Apparition Hill, located several hundred meters above the Bijakovici hamlet called Podbrdo, is a well-known site where apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary have been reported since 1981. The hill was initially a bare and stony area but has become more accessible due to the millions of pilgrims who visit it.
Peaceful and Powerful Experience Apparition Hill has a truly special atmosphere – peaceful, spiritual, and moving. You feel incredibly close to something greater while you’re there. The hike up takes about 15 minutes, depending on your pace. It’s a bit rocky, so good shoes help, but it’s manageable for most people. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with a beautiful view and a deep sense of calm. A must-visit spot if you’re in Medjugorje – whether for faith, reflection, or just the incredible energy of the place.
Mina H — Google review
Absolutely wonderful and worth the hike up the hill to be able to pray the rosary where our Blessed Mother appeared. All Catholics should make the pilgrimage here once.
Chris G — Google review
It was a very enlightening experience to witness such dedication among the pilgrims who made the climb up Apparition Hill. Some did it barefoot but I would highly recommend a strong pair of hiking boots as some of the rocks are quite sharp. It takes around 10 minutes to climb to Our Lady statue.
Mat B — Google review
Van ride to Apparition Hill – the movie’s rising action. Winding through Medjugorje’s green hills, the van climbs toward Podbrdo, where the Virgin first appeared in 1981. Sunlit vineyards and stone walls flash by – anticipation builds with every turn. The pilgrimage deepens
A G — Google review
Incredible place! You must go there to feel this atmosphere and energy. Hard climb up the hill on the rocks but was doable with three kids including 4 years old. It can get crowded, but on the other hand is so quiet and perfect place to pray to our Lady. She is there waiting for you!
Mariana Y — Google review
The path up to Apparition hill is rough, be prepared for a hike. We saw some people that were quite old and it was challenging, but they went slowly and were undeterred. There’s not a single set path, and nobody was impatient. Spiritually so worth visiting.

Mostar Old Bridge Viewpoint, also known as Stari Most, is a must-visit destination in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This 16th-century Ottoman bridge is a symbol of reconciliation and unity in the city, connecting its Muslim and Christian quarters with its elegant design featuring a single stone arch gracefully curving 24m above the Neretva River.
Beautiful, even on an overcast day. We didn’t see the river’s famous green waters, but the view was still lovely. The bridge itself is so full of history and beauty that you can’t help but pause and take it all in. A must-see when visiting Mostar.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Old Bridge in Mostar is one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve seen. By day it’s alive with history and crowds, but by night it transforms into something magical – beautifully lit, reflecting perfectly on the Neretva River below. Standing here, you feel the weight of centuries of Ottoman architecture, war, destruction, and then the powerful story of reconstruction and resilience. The bridge is not just stone and water – it’s a living symbol of unity and survival. Locals still dive from it (incredible to watch!), and the surrounding cobblestone streets are full of cafés, craft shops, and welcoming people. Walking across the bridge feels like stepping back in time, yet the atmosphere is buzzing and vibrant. If you visit Bosnia, this is an absolute must. Come at night if you can – the reflections, lights, and quiet atmosphere are unforgettable. 10/10 experience that blends history, culture, and pure beauty.

Beautiful little old town, with a bridge that can be a bit strange to cross, due to the way the steps are on it. But some fantastic restaurants nearby and get this....loads of food and it costs peanuts, compared to eu countries. Well worth a visit, locals are lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful scenery. The water level was high in November and the current was turbulent. The cobbled stones on the pathways make walking difficult. There are many sourviniers shops along the pathway. Many of them are selling magnet, keychains and some turkish products.

The historic town of Mostar, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, Stari Most, after which it is named. In the 1990s conflict, however, most of the historic town and the Old Bridge, designed by the renowned architect Sinan, was destroyed. The Old Bridge was recently rebuilt and many of the edifices in the Old Town have been restored or rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO. The Old Bridge area, with its pre-Ottoman, eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean and western European architectural features, is an outstanding example of a multicultural urban settlement. The reconstructed Old Bridge and Old City of Mostar is a symbol of reconciliation, international co-operation and of the coexistence of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities.

I visited Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 4th, 2018, and it was beautiful. The cobblestone streets and ancient buildings many still marked with bullet holes told the story of over 300,000 men, women, and children who lost their lives in a war fought over religion. My tour guide, who introduced himself as Yugoslavian (from a country that no longer exists), had a master’s in religion. He said something that I’ll never forget: “I’ve read every religious book, and they all say the same thing religion is freedom.” Our final stop was the iconic Mostar Bridge, where daredevils leap into the water below. As I sat there reflecting, I thought about how fortunate I am to live in a country where all children of all abilities and colors have the same right to education, where women can have equal right, and where anyone can freely practice their faith. On that day, July 4th, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I felt the deepest sense of gratitude and pride for my country. America is freedom. True freedom isn’t the absence of injustice, but the courage to confront it. That’s what makes America free. ❤️💙🤍 *UNESCO heritage site*

The most famous world bridge passes over the Neretva River and joins two shores, and of course, it's Old Bridge in Mostar, protected by the Unesco association.

The Neretva, and in particular its delta, are a fascinating place to visit. It is a fertile area where primarily citrus and pomegranate farming exist side by side with extensive reed beds. It is a unique way of life lived between land and water. Who knows how long it will last or how it might change. The boat tours are well worth it to see what lies oit in the delta. A cuisine of eels, frogs fantastic stews is balanced with great wines and unique herbal spirits.

My favourite river in the whole world! Emerald green, cool and with a differt mood depending on the season.

Neretva river is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Although I swimmed here once,I wouldn't recommend swimming in the deep water because there are fish that could bump into you and that will spook you out.

One of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful rivers in all of Bosnia. I really love it's color. It's pretty cold all year, but some people do swim in it, and it's popular with fishers mostly for catching Trout.

Kravica Waterfall is a scenic spot popular for swimming and photography, with nearby concessions available. Some visitors find the entrance fee to be high, considering it's a natural feature, while others appreciate the affordable access and free parking. The walk down to the falls offers numerous photo opportunities and stunning views. Visitors enjoy swimming in the river at the bottom of the falls and appreciate the clean bathing area with ample seating.
Incredible place ! We got there early and it was so relaxing and not busy at all. Loungers were out and free to use and it had a lovely cafe. The water is freezing haha so not many people swam at all. But it was a gorgeous place and SO worth a visit
Madison C — Google review
Still 10 euro to enter if you're wondering. The ascent and descent can be a bit difficult due to the odd designs of the steps. The waterfall itself is beautiful and that's why we came of course, but the area around the falls feels very run down. Maybe it's because of the off season, but boarded up restaurants covered in graffiti, no real paths or sense of organisation. It does feel like a bunch of people just placed down shacks to sell drinks and gelato out of for a few months of the year.
Jake A — Google review
This has been on my bucket list for years and I'm so happy to have finally done it. We went in end of October and, because it was a decent day, still swam. It was so lovely. Highly recommend, it's such a beautiful waterfall
Jenna B — Google review
Very nice waterfalls, they are different and a must see if you are visiting the area. The reception guy was very nice and informative. We parked at a parking ahead of the park which was 3 EUR for the hole day, but 1 hour is enough if you dont visit Mala Kravica.
Roman O — Google review
Wonderful place, nice in October as its quiet, food at the restaurant was delicious and served by 2 polite lads. Well worth a visit, I recommend making your own way so you can spend as long as you like there, souvenirs we're a good price too.
Gary D — Google review
Very beautiful! A bit expensive for 10eur entrance but still worth it. We stayed for about 1h30. We walked towards Mala Kavinica. It didn’t have much view on the other falls but the clear waters was beautiful. There were cafes by the falls but all closed at this season. The bridge going to the other side is also closed.

Kravica Waterfall was my favourite place when I visited Bosnia and Herzegovina in early October. I couldn't contain my excitement during the entire 90 minutes I spent there and I took dozens of selfies, photos, and videos to capture the beauty of this natural wonder. I really wish I had more time, as I didn’t want to leave so soon. The €10 entry fee is absolutely worth it to witness such a marvel. There were people swimming and having fun in the water, as it was a gloriously sunny day. I also sat down to enjoy a coffee and a cigarette, simply soaking in the breathtaking surroundings and appreciating the moment.
Storee — Google review
This waterfall is breathtaking and totally worth a visit! 💙 • The view is magical, and the area is perfect for relaxing and taking amazing photos. 📸🍃 • You can even enjoy the water up close for a refreshing experience. 🌞💦 ⚠️ Be prepared for the climb! • The stairs are very long and steep 🪜🥵 • Going down is okay, but coming back up is tough, especially in the heat. ☀️😓 Overall: An unforgettable natural wonder in Bosnia!

Korcula Town Museum is housed in a charming 16th-century Renaissance palace located in the heart of Korcula Old Town. The museum boasts 24 collections, including archaeological, traditional shipbuilding, ethnographical, stone-masonry, musical, natural history, and maritime exhibits. Visitors can explore ancient Greek and Roman ceramics recovered from shipwrecks as well as a replica of a fourth-century Greek tablet. The museum's English-language labeling enhances the experience for international visitors.
In the new renovated museum of the city of Korcula you can find a lot of information of very interesting and rich island history. You will go through different phases of the island development and for a hour or two travel through the time. Amazing place to visit!

Delightful little museum that offers much to intrigue in a relatively small, but pleasingly modern, space. Visitors who are fascinated by the past and prepared to spend the time (and do a bit of reading) are taken through thousands of years of history, including a glimpse of 19th-century cultural life in Korčula - the curator(s) must be congratulated! Not all the explanatory texts and audio are accompanied by English translations, but super friendly staff can assist. A lovely experience (on what was a very cold and wet island afternoon!)
Lize G — Google review
Cute museum showcasing local history all the way from prehistoric times to 20th century. Not sure it's worth the €6 entry fee but it was nice all the same. Nice to do something a bit different to swimming and eating and drinking!
Alice W — Google review
Really good and modern museum occupying 5 floors. EUR6 entrance fee. The basement has the oldest pieces, and it gets more modern history as you climb up. Also a good toilet in the basement, which is handy! I particularly liked the helmet from the 5th or 6th century BC.
Ross G — Google review
Nice exhibit explaining the history of Korcula. Location in one of the old Venetian palaces on the main square. If you have plenty of time it's a good way to spend half an hour to an hour, but if you are in a rush better spend the time walking on the small streets.
Csaba C — Google review
Decent city museum! I definitely liked the amphoras (+music background) and photos from 1930's and 1950's. Someone put quite and effort to arrange the exhibition in chronological and well-arranged order.

Korcula Town Museum is located across the St. Marc Cathedral. The Museum is housed in Gabrieli's palace, built in the 15th and 16th centuries but newly renovated. It consists of 4 floors and shows how life on the island looked before. I would definitely recommend this place so you can understand the history of Korcula better. My favorite parts of the museum are the 3rd and 4th floor but the other two floors are no less attractive.

Entrence is only 20kn, and you can explore a bit of Korčula's rich history. A the moment the museum is beeing rebuilt so entrence to the temporary location is just around the corner.

Pupnatska Luka Beach is a charming small pebble beach nestled in the bay of Pupnatska Luka. Its crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, and the picturesque views from the shoreline are equally delightful. The beach offers amenities such as chair and kayak rentals, portable toilets, and various restaurants in the bay. Situated just 15 kilometers away from Korcula Town, it's a popular choice for families.
Amazing place. Parking for 10 euro per day . 2 or even 3 places to eat and drink. 30 euro a day for sun beds and umbrella. A bit of a scary drive going down and up , but 1000% worth visiting. To make it easier to get to the beach go up a little bit from the stairs and there is a little path.
Euromy2005 — Google review
Very nice and clean beach with a gorgeous view and colours, water is crystal clear and great for scuba diving/snorkling. Pebble beach, so swimming shoes and a comfy sun mattress are recommended. The drive is an interesting experience, down a long and narrow-cornered way but safe when driven carefully. Be aware for other cars coming, not too many spots for passing by. Lots of parking space, different costs depending on the area you park, it's 7-10 euros for the whole day. Quite an easy access down to the beach. The first you find are stairs going down, but there is also a concrete ramp further along the way that leads to the beach. I recommend to come earlier for best spots, the beach gets quite crowded along the day and the beach is appearently popular among families (not maybe the most quiet spot therefore) and is kid friendly. Sun decks and parasol cost 25 euros, if wanted. The beach has two restaurants, we visited the beach twice and tested both of them. Each different, but both very nice and offer good food.
Erika T — Google review
This beach is a drive down a windy long road, but worth it. We arrived from the new road which is gravelly, parked up early at 9.30 at the front had got some beds on the beach. It’s €7 for parking not €10 anymore and €25 per twin beds and a brolly, that’s if you want them, there is space to sit on the beach for no cost(other than parking). We liked it as it had a nice restaurant and could spend all day here without faffing on bringing packed lunch. The beach and sea and views are worth it. The small boats pull up and there is plenty of space for a SUP board. Water shoes are useful not necessarily needed, but next time I would bring a comfy mattress for the wooden slatted beds, they are not the comfiest. I give it a four, a little harsh really we visited twice during our stay and I would go back but 6 of us for beds is costly and the meal was great first time and average the second. The beach though I love.
Nicola P — Google review
Easy access with car, steps to beach nice access, beach is with small to medium stones and sand at moments but reare. 4 is overated but due to natural beauties I need to leave 4. From the moment you come to beach steps guy takes 10 eur for parking, after that they charge 30 eur for beach seat for seating and sun protection "optional"... but most of beach is covered with this sets. Not good is nature behing your back not even tried to look clean and tidy with no trash bucket on whole beach. My question is if you are selling drinks food sun sets and charging parking why somebody is not responsible for putting trash bin in and clean it on daily basis
Ivan L — Google review
Perfect beach with clear blue water, not too crowded. Has a couple restaurants and the option to pay for sunbeds (around 30 euros for 2). Easy to park a car and access the beach too. Only improvement is that the parking is 10 euros, which is ridiculous for a Public beach. Other beaches in the island also have parking, but for free.
Camila G — Google review
Great beach to spend the day at. I highly recommend bringing goggles and a snorkel to view all of the fish and sea life. By the rocks at the side there are very colourful fish. There's a Pepper & Choco gelato stand which is open until around 18:00 (around sunset). There is ample parking as well as a beach bar and a restaurant. Great for the family.
Ava J — Google review
Beautiful nature, nice pebble beach, clear water, not overly crowded even now end of July. Parking available for 8 or 10 Euros (depending on how close you park).
Johan D — Google review
The beach is big and water is very clear. In september it's not that busy.Umbrellas and sun laungers are 30€... There are 3 parking spots the longest walk is 8€/day medium 10€/day and the closest one is 7€/day.

Visitors can enjoy swimming in the calm sea or partake in various water sports and excursions. The beach also features natural shade from pine trees and has amenities such as cafes and a designated area for furry friends to enjoy.
Tucepi Beach is an absolute gem! The crystal-clear waters and pristine pebbles create a perfect setting for relaxation. The promenade is lovely for an evening stroll, lined with charming cafes and restaurants. Despite the beach getting busy during peak season, it never feels too overcrowded, and the family-friendly atmosphere is a big plus. The views are breathtaking, and the amenities are top-notch. It's a perfect spot for both sunbathing and swimming. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Croatia!

Immaculate stunning beach, showers, changing places. Bars, cafes and restaurants. Plenty of space at the end of September. The water is just beautiful
Rachael K — Google review
Beautiful 🤩 expensive parking, enough shade , showers available for a fee
Olena B — Google review
Sections of the beach are nice and photogenic, but overall this is a bunch of questionable touristy restaurants, generic bakery shops and LOTS of private accomodation options right on the beach. Motorbikes and deliveries use the promenade to bypass traffic. Architecturally, everything is horrendeous. Several hige hotels are right on the waterfront. Less chaotic than Makarska, but that is not saying much.

Croatia Divers offers an amazing experience with a great crew. The instructor, James, was praised for his ability to meet divers at their level and help them progress at their own pace. He specifically helped one diver improve buoyancy and confidence in the water. Sophie was also commended for her helpfulness both in the shop and during dives. Although not directly worked with, Elaina was described as a quiet and steady anchor to the crew.
Really nice experience with the whole family, brought my nieces and nephew and they all could go in together and all had an individual instructor taking care of them. Best first diving experience they could get! Especially my 8 year old nephew will never forget this. Thanks to the whole team!

My husband and I had an absolutely incredible experience with Croatia Divers in Vela Luka. My husband is an experienced scuba instructor and dive shop owner in the U.S., and he was very impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness of the entire dive team here. The instructors were not only highly skilled but also extremely welcoming, which made the dives both safe and made diving enjoyable. In addition to diving, we also rented paddle boards, which were excellent quality and very well maintained. The staff went above and beyond to help us carry the boards to the water and bring them back afterward, which we greatly appreciated. Bobby, the owner, deserves special mention. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about scuba diving and manages his dive shop with warmth and hospitality. He makes every guest from beginners to professionals feel comfortable, included, and part of the community.

We loved diving with Croatia Divers! I did my Advanced Open Water here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everyone was super welcoming—even though we signed up super last minute—and the whole vibe was just fun, relaxed, and kind of like joining a little dive family. Bobby, the owner, has the best stories from decades of diving (seriously, I could’ve listened all day) and made everything so easy for us. My partner already had his advanced cert, and they let him tag along on our training dives and then join another couple for some cooler ones—so accommodating and chill. Our instructor David was amazing—super attentive, calm, and clearly cares about making you a good diver, not just ticking off skills. I felt really safe and supported the whole time, which hasn’t always been the case at other places. The location is also perfect—right by the water with the boats just a few steps away. You gear up and hop straight onto the zodiac, no fuss, just straight into adventure mode. The equipment was great, the dives were super fun, and everyone we met at the school was sweet and helpful. Such a good vibe all around. 10/10 would dive here again!

My girlfriend and I took part in the Open Water Diver course at Croatia Divers. We have to say that everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both of us, and we are very grateful to Bobby and the whole team for being so supportive in every way. With the help of Bobby and Cris, I was able to overcome my fears at a point when I had already given up on the course by 99%. Thanks to their encouragement and professionalism, I successfully completed the training and gained an unforgettable lifelong experience. My heartfelt thanks to you all for everything! Best regards, Richard

My boyfriend and I joined the Open Water Diver course and it was an unforgettable experience. I was a bit afraid at the beginning but Bobby and his team are competent, highly experienced, patient and friendly! The team is very international, thus multilingual. We both recommend their services to everyone and we wish to come back to Croatia Divers in the future. A special thanks to Lianne and Etienne, our fantastic instructors!
Juliana C — Google review
We had the absolute best experience with Croatia Divers! From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome, safe, and completely taken care of. The dive masters were not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also so fun — their passion for diving and the local waters really shone through. The equipment was well-maintained, the boat was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly and on time. They gave clear instructions that made us feel confident no matter our experience level, and they pointed out so many amazing underwater sights we never would have noticed on our own. What stood out most was the personal touch — Bobby and the team took the time to get to know us, make sure we were comfortable, and ensure everyone had the best experience possible. I can’t recommend Croatia Divers highly enough. If you’re in Korčula and thinking about diving (or even trying for the first time), this is the place to go. We’ll be back! 🌊🐠🤿

Proizd is a small, serene island located off the western tip of Korcula. Accessible by a 35-minute ferry ride from Vela Luka, this uninhabited island boasts stunning coastal beaches separated by a forested interior. The crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounding Proizd make it an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling.
Unique rocky "beach". Water is truly amazing. Bring your water shoes for safety and find a shade while you can. Best to go early on this beach as it looks to the west.
Bojan A — Google review
A beautiful island located in front of Vela Luka. You can get there by rent a boat or, as we decided, by a local boat, which is much cheaper. It departs from Vela Luka and the ride takes about 35 minutes and runs about 5 times a day in the season. There are 4 beaches on the island itself, which are reached by walkways through a dense pine forest, making the walk very pleasant even in warmer weather. For nudist lovers, there is also such a beach, which is also the most remote. We were personally most impressed by the beach on flat rocks located in the Bili Bok bay. The very exit from the pine forest to that beach is spectacular and unfortunately cannot be captured on a camera or camcorder. I was also fascinated by the diving into the sea itself with its clarity. The bottom is a mixture of white sand, pebbles and seaweed that form small underwater islands. On the way back, we stopped by a restaurant located in the harbor where we sailed in upon arrival. Prices are a little more expensive because all food has to be delivered by boat, but still within the limits of what is bearable.

Charming uninhabited island and it's what makes it so wonderful. Greeted by a bar, restaurant, only one on the island, several beached are available. Better come equipped with mat and parasol, food and beverages, like so many locals. Boat trip takes around 40 minutes taken from Vela Luka. An absolute must when in Korcula!!
Lamis G — Google review
Great hidden gem! Doesn't have any shade but has a bar with a great view. It's a long walk downhill but you have a cheap bus that can take you back up to the village.

As of Jun 6, 2024 there seem to be only a 10am boat with return at 5pm. 15euro. I called two companies I could find and both confirmed this info. Maybe there is another boat or you can find a private taxi at the harbor, but be warned and double check before making plans. It's possible there is more traffic later in the summer... We were not able to visit the island, unfortunately.

Punta Rata, also known as Dugi Rat, is a stunning pebble beach located in the picturesque town of Brela on the Makarska Riviera. The beach is famous for its crystal-clear waters, pine tree-lined surroundings, and the iconic Brela Rock that juts out from the turquoise sea. Forbes magazine even recognized Punta Rata as one of the most beautiful beaches globally in 2004.
Absolutely stunning beach and hands down one of the most beautiful promenades we’ve seen along this coast. From what we can tell on the map, it stretches all the way to Makarska — but right around here, it looks absolutely unreal. The mix of greenery, the leaning trees, the turquoise water, and the clean, well-kept path — it all hits just right. Especially if you're not here during peak tourist time. We came in mid-May, and the whole place felt magical. Punta Rata Beach itself looked incredible. You could actually find your own little corner, a quiet spot to settle in. I’m guessing that during peak season, there’s no way you’d be able to find a comfortable space to lay down and relax.
Karol K — Google review
The beach is beautiful but a little bit crowded. Beautiful landscape, crystal clear water, pebble beach. The "parking" is just a patch of dirt and trees — no pavement, no order — but they still charge €4 per hour. From 9 AM to 3 PM, I paid 24 €. The attendant speaks aggressively and treats visitors with zero respect. It's totally unprofessional and a terrible first impression for such a beautiful beach.
Mihaela A — Google review
The most amazing beach in Brela and has crystal clear water, and the beach with small pebbles. The calm, shallow water and pine-tree promenade makes it a great spot for everyone.
Amalia M — Google review
I confirm this is a nice place: - views to sea/mountains/islands are superb from any side of the beach - has many shadow places under big trees - less crowded than Makarska beaches - low locals with their goods level - low garbage level - has some nice places to do great photos (like Brela rock) Basically, calm village beach with great views. Only downside - expensive parking nearby.
Akela — Google review
I love this place, especially in the morning before 9 a.m., while the tourists are still asleep. The most beautiful it ever was was during Covid-19 – no one around, just me, the crystal-clear sea, pine trees, fish and squirrels. That’s why, even today, I quietly pray every day: “Dear God, please send us another small, sweet pandemic. This time, one that harms no one, but whose symptoms simply stop people from travelling – say, global diarrhoea or a collective outbreak of painful hemorrhoids. Amen."
Wolflisnjak — Google review
Definitely the best beach in Brela, and I wouldn’t exaggerate if I say that it’s the best beach in whole Croatia. Small stones are very pleasant under the feet and absolutely no need for those ugly sea shoes. Be a real man and walk bare footed. And ladies that are planning to attract someone, you can do it only without sea shoes. There are a lot of pines with natural shade at the beach. Free showers are available in whole Brela which is really great and quite rare nowadays.
Ivann — Google review
One of the best beaches I’ve ever been. The temperature of the water is great and if you swim a bit, you can see the full chain of mountains behind the beach. Yes, it is crowded compared to others, but I don’t think that’s a real problem. There’s plenty of space and it’s not impossible to find a place for you in the shadow. A pair of sunbeds and umbrella costs 28 euros.
Rener — Google review
Beautiful, quiet, gravel beach. Super clean water. Have to pay for parking and for toilets. Easy to go for a walk as there's a promenade. -1 * due to lack of free toilets and I believe you need coins for it.

our air conditioner didn't work. we told the staff and they promised to look during the day while we are at the beach. when we came back from the beach they forgot so they were making it the whole time we were in the room. the first night we were without air conditioning, and the second in a room with masters. they then transferred us to another room only after the intervention of the manager. the staff said there were no available rooms even though there were more available on the booking. then on the last night we were transferred again to the third room because the second one was reserved. The hotel has potential, but with management work. it is not enough to offer the guest 0.2 dcl champagne as an excuse. someone took their time and paid for a vacation and that vacation looked like I described.

I just got back home and couldn’t resist writing this review right away. From the moment we booked, we felt completely taken care of. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Miki, Dusan, Katerina, Ognjen, and the rest of the team—each one radiating warmth and professionalism. This place is more than just a hotel. It’s a little world where you have everything you need—delicious meals from breakfast to dinner, a shop on site, live music at dinner, and views that honestly look like a postcard. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. They catered to every need with a smile, even arranging a golf cart ride to and from our car (a small detail that made a big difference in the summer heat!). 💙 A heartfelt thank you to Miki for his kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care—he truly set the standard for what hospitality should feel like. And of course, a big shout-out to Dusan, Katerina, and Ognjen as well—their warmth and professionalism made our stay unforgettable 💙 If I could suggest one tiny improvement, it would be lighter short-sleeve uniforms for the staff in those hot 30–40°C summer days—they’d still look elegant, and it would make their work more comfortable.

From the moment we arrived at Zlatni Rat Beach Resort, we were completely captivated by its unbeatable location—just steps from the iconic Zlatni Rat Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and unique pebble shoreline. It truly doesn’t get better than this. The resort itself is thoughtfully designed for convenience and comfort. Parking is just seconds from the rooms, which are spotless, stylish, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and carefree stay. And the food? Absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’ll admit I was skeptical about hotel dining at first, but this is no ordinary hotel restaurant. It's a proper, high-quality restaurant connected to the resort—and honestly, one of the best around. I highly recommend trying the octopus salad—it's a standout dish. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Their warmth, humor, and dedication elevated our entire experience. At reception, Biljana, Dusan, and Miki were incredible—always available, helpful, and full of that genuine Balkan hospitality that makes you feel like family. In the restaurant, Josip, David, and Strahinja not only provided fantastic service but also brightened our days with laughter, generous touches, and spot-on recommendations. Honestly, it’s the people here who will bring me back. The building is beautiful, the beach is world-class, the food is delicious—but it’s the staff that made it unforgettable. If I had to find one downside? The mosquitoes—but even they couldn’t dampen such an amazing experience. PS: I read a review stating that there is a strong smell from the sewage which I did not feel as everything around us only smelled of lavenders, the sea and some great food.

We recommend this hotel! Very nice and comfortable hotel with excellent food, views and service. The staff is super helpful. Katarina from the office and Dusan, the driver who took care of our luggage were very helpful 🙏👍. Love to come back!

Nestled on the stunning island of Brac, Vidova Gora stands proudly as the highest peak among the Adriatic islands, reaching an impressive height of 778 meters. This remarkable destination is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike, offering breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea and neighboring islands like Hvar and Vis.
Fantastique and challanging walking. The road is well signed, full of stones but good for walking. For us with a 8 year old boy took 3 hours to walk up. The view is beautiful. At the top there is a small bar with icecream, coffee and souvenires. To go up and down it was about 10 kms. Challanging but beautiful.

We drove to the top. I can't imagine hiking it in the heat. The views were amazing. There was a small cafe at the top but the views were stunning. I would be careful at the top around the cliff edges. Most of the island has a lot of rock but this drive gives you some interesting forest time as well on the way up!

It's the tallest mountain in the isle of braç, and the view is amazing. You can clearly see the Zlatni rat beach from up there and also the very cool formation of the island in front (Hvar island if i'?m not mistaken) which I thought looked like a hand reaching out. 10/10, definitely would recommend

Amazing spot!! Went there for sunset and left in total awe. The access is very easy through a pine forest and uphill there’s a small free parking, after which you have to walk a paved road for 5-10 minutes to reach the top. Amazing views of the Hvar and Vis islands, also of Zlanti Rat beach and, of course, Bol and the rest of southern Brac. Must see spot on the island.

One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in Croatia. It's on the island of Braz. The island is easily assecable from Split. A 50 minute ferry ride to Supetar.

Challenging hike but very fascinating. The trail was not identified on Google Maps and we had trouble finding the path in the beginning, luckily there were marks for hikers everywhere (see the red and white circle in the picture). The hiking trail starts from road UI. Gornje Podbarje where there is a hiking plate. We followed the marks and it took c. 3.5 hours to go up and c. 2 hours to go down. There were loose gravels everywhere on the path and it can get tricky especially on the way down. The view from the top was amazing and there is a table and a bench for picnic. There is also a small shop for refreshment. The mountain peak is also accessable by car/bike. For hikers, bringing plenty of water and food is recommended. Overall, it's worth a visit.

Vidova Gora is an absolutely amazing place. The view from the top is simply stunning – especially if you come just before sunset. As someone from this region, I really recommend visiting during that time because the light and atmosphere are truly magical. Just a small tip: bring something warmer to wear, as it can get chilly up there even in summer. The road that takes you through the forest to the top is also really beautiful and adds to the experience. The only downside is an abandoned building near the viewpoint – it looks a bit neglected and spooky. Hopefully, it gets renovated in the future to match the beauty of the rest of the place.

Nature & Parks
Krka National Park is a stunning nature reserve that spans 73 kilometers along the Krka River, featuring breathtaking waterfalls, walking trails, and riverboat trips. The park's karstic phenomenon showcases a canyon up to 200 meters deep carved through limestone hills by the river over millennia. Visitors can explore the largest and most impressive waterfall, Skradinski Buk, which creates inviting jade pools for swimming.
What a place. Really beautiful. Terrain maybe a little bit challenging for some people. The falls the lake the small fishes birds the wildlife is just amazing! Not to be missed when in Croatia. The wooden walkway at the end was the most amazing part. The view was spectacular.

This is a natural miracle! Everything is well organized-after you buy the ticket, a boat takes you to the park in about 20 minutes. The whole journey is fantastic. Then waterfalls and paths within the park are very natural and amazingly.

An amazing series of waterfalls in a beautiful valley. I had not heard of Krka national park before visiting Croatia as it is not as well known as the Plitvice park but it is just as beautiful. We visited on a day trip from Split in late October. It is about 1 hour 20mins from Split. There are many different areas of the park and we visited Lozovac. Here there is a large free car park with free toilets near to the ticket office. The start of the waterfalls walk is in a valley about 1km from the ticket office. There is a regular shuttle bus every 15 mins or you can walk down a gravel path. We chose to walk down. The path is quite steep in places so you might want to use the shuttle bus to return as it is uphill on the way back. There are more toilets and a cafe near to the start of the boardwalk which is about 3.5km long and is suitable for buggies. There are lots of little streams and small falls but the main falls is near the end just after another cafe and some gift stalls. The whole valley is so beautiful, especially in the autumn and we got lucky on a cloudless sunny day.

Best to visit in sunny weather, beautiful waterfalls and lots of benches and restaurants within the park from skradin side. Very bad direction labelling, the trail is not clearly marked so we ended going around a circle instead of forward to the monastery :( Ask for directions along every way!

Fantastic natural parc! We took the boat from Skrandic and walked the whole round hike to the top and back again. Lot of wildlife and panoramic spots! Don't take a stroller with you, there are a lot of stairs and if you skip them, you'll miss many viewpoints.

Beautiful scenery. Easy walking. Well signposted. Only downside was the price of food and drink inside the park, absolutely disgraceful. €7 for a pouch with less fries than a McDonald's and €19.50 for a pathetic burger. I get not wanting people to bring food and drink in due to rubbish and cross contamination of food/nature but sort your prices out.

We got the boat to the waterfall the views and surroundings on the way were amazing. The food by the waterfall was lovely and then the photo opportunitys were fabulous some of which I posted. Would recommended a visit here.

Fabulous experience of nature. Waterfalls were great. We took the boat from the nearby town and that was great. My mom who had difficulties walking could tag along with her walker. The stroll around the waterfalls were tough but worth it. It took about 30 minutes. Lots of steps here so no walker around the falls but no problem to and from the falls.

Beach Slanica is the main beach of Murter, a popular vacation island known for its breathtaking beauty and shallow sandy shores, making it a hit with families. The turquoise blue sea is stunning and perfect for swimming. Located on the southern side of the island, it offers various amenities and entertainment programs. Despite being less crowded due to current circumstances, it remains an ideal spot for families with kids as well as older visitors.
Beautiful beach, perfect for small kids. Blue waters and sand! Good food on the other side of the beach.

Beautiful beach with sand and shallow water. Very suitable for small children. There are also bars and restaurants nearby. It can be quite crowded during the summer. The water is very clean and a very beautiful color.

Another grrat place in Murter. Sandy beach ideally for a small babies, very low water level. Early morning get a place otherwise its crowded whole day... closely tobogans for a kids. Surrounded by great restaurants, look for Reflektor Murter on right side ☝️

Small beach with pebbles, the place was beyond full. We had a great time staying on the side of the beach, there are flat rocks that allow for sun bathing. Water is clean right off the rocks and many fish can be seen.
Hristo A — Google review
Amazing Beach. Only horrible thing is the parking. There are weird people running around selling overpriced parking tickets, for the parking at the beach. But if you park near the Konzum supermarket 10 minutes by foot away in the town, you only pay 1€ per hour. You have to pay with the BMove app though. But the installation of the app and purchasing of the ticket was super easy. Really recommend that option!
XLQ3 X — Google review
The shore is stones, but in the water is sand. The shore is shallow, perfect for children's games. We didn't visit cafes. There were a lot of people, but we found a place to sit. Nice place.
Lina G — Google review
10€ for parking on a rocky spot, the beach is very small with masses of people..towel besides towel. Water is nice like almost everywhere in Croatia.
Tas — Google review
Nice beach. Not overcrowded (at least was not 3-13 July 19). Water not the nicest, since it's more or less a small bay. Depends where exactly you stay on the beach. Decent service in terms of food, drinks, sport activities. Below average prices in Croatia in general. No "adrenaline" activities really available.
