The largest market square in Germany, very nice, underground parking available for a not so decent fee. Kinderplatz is also available, quite modern and well equipped.

Beautiful small town surrounded by Black Forest (dense pine trees forest). This is one of the place which most of European senior citizens will come for their vacation. Almost all building, old and new, have beautiful facade and decorated with beautiful blooming flowers. Have variety of shops selling good products. For moslems, there are several halal restaurants and cafes established by Turks and Indian moslems.

Every of Europe's city possess squares / platz.... for the citizens to gather and celebrate.... Marktplatz Freudenstad is one among them.... Decorated with spectacular floral gardens enhance it's beauty. The square is surrounded by numerous restaurants supplying the local taste.... and of course a church open all the time for the public for personal prayers...without which no European towns exist.

Did the guided tour for 10€ less 1€ discount from our hotel. It really is worth doing. The casino is absolutely stunning with a fascinating history. The tour takes 40 minutes and you are allowed to take photos. A nice interlude on a cold day.

NOT GOING BACK. SERVICE NOT SO GOOD, ONLY 1-2 Tables (Roulette & something else). Didn’t see BlackJack and above all, no one there to provide any material gestures of guidance or hospitality. Actually saw the 2 tables at about 3-4PM, and was totally unimpressed. Baden-Baden yes, Casino pass it. The architecture is fantastic, and the inside quite clean. The coat-check lady was nice; but the Admissions lady was definitely not nice. I was well-dressed in a black-leather jacket, tux-white shirt and a gold-laced bow tie. The B forced me to drop €10-20 on an unnecessary jacket rental; and was a snot about it. Reminded me of my first encounters in East Germany when The Wall was coming down. They thought of everything, but the people and what they might need. Walking away, I saw the Illuminati of the Casio Bar. What could go wrong here? They had everything, but a bartender; because the 3 or 4 of them were kind of in the back corner talking. No attention whatsoever to customers. As an afterthought, a bartender appeared. WOW. For the $$$$ they were charging I worried about buying dinner. Service = 5/10. Real nice place if you want to hold your mouth open, but if you came to play Blackjack or another game—you’d have more fun by a long shot at the Tampa Seminole Hard Rock Cafe (at half the cost). Not so cool. They have a lot to learn about taking care of the client. When I turned in my Jacket, Ms. N. Admissions was supervising the coat check lady with a specious, down-the-nose look. Really Surprised as was my darling. The surrounding promenade OUTSIDE OF THE CASINO was filled with Baden-Baden interest, history, and adventure.

The Baden-Baden casino is truly stunning: an elegant, refined place full of history, definitely worth a visit. However, what a strange idea to force men to wear a jacket in the middle of summer, with the heat unbearable and the air conditioning not really up to the task. In the end, you end up sweating more than betting… A shame that such an outdated rule slightly spoils the experience in such a prestigious venue!

Cool building architecture and park in front of the building, one of the oldest casino in the world (designed in 1824) gained its fame in 1830s when gambling was banned in France.

Absolutely gorgeous.. a must visit in Baden Baden!!.. it has a 200 yr old history.. the interiors are just amazing.. you could do a tour for a small fee earlier in the day or just soak up the casino vibes after 3pm. Even if you do not want to gamble you can always just get a drink inside 😉

A large and very impressive place, with beautiful interior architecture. The main hall is stunning and worth the visit. However, the climb to the top is not particularly special. Once you reach the upper level, you can pay extra to go a bit higher, but it’s unnecessary and not worth the money. The stairs are narrow, making it extremely difficult to pass when people are coming in the opposite direction — the same problem on the way down. You can also see the bell up close, but be aware that the sound is deafening.

Freiburg Cathedral is absolutely beautiful, full of incredible details everywhere you look. The architecture is stunning. Every corner of the cathedral shows amazing craftsmanship. It’s truly a must-see! ✨

Cathedral’s history started being Romanesque church around 1200, transitioned to Gothic structure in 1250s (inspired by nearby Strasbourg cathedral) with West Tower being completed in 1330. While the city was heavily bombed in WW2, cathedral survived with minor damage (likely due to being notable landmark for Allied Bombers).

I love visiting Cathedrals! Each city has their own unique church and style and I just love the architectural designs on them! This one was one of my favorites! The interior was just breathtaking and you can tell how much effort went into the design because each statue is so intricate!

I became aware of Freiburger Münster on my first day in Freiburg. It's really hard to miss the sight of it. I visited it on my first night when it was lit up. The enormous size of it and amount of decorative detail left me speechless. One day I noticed that the front entrance was open for visitors, so I took the opportunity. I wasn't prepared for the grandure that awaited me inside. The vast volume of the interior left my mouth hanging open many times as I analyzed the columns and ceilings. I spent alot of time studying the stained glass windows which depict many vivid stories. What's great about the windows is that you absolutely can't experience them the same way from outside. The quality of light inside the cathedral, from the outside light when it hits the windows, is only fit for a structure this caliber. Please, out of respect, obey the signs and dont walk over or through the areas which are clearly marked off. Also, please dont take videos and photo's of the inside, just enjoy the experience of the moment.

A stunning gothic cathedral with beautiful stained glass windows. Definitely worth a visit from outside and inside. Would suggest going at night to enjoy the views.

The park is beautiful and peaceful. There is a nice lake with ducks and a small white temple that looks very pretty. The grass is green and there are many trees for shade. It is a great place for a walk, a picnic, or to relax. The atmosphere is calm, and it is perfect for sunny days.

Sprawling well kept public park at the edge of Strasbugh. Easily accessible by tram, it was the perfect stop for a picnic. Well marked paths made the ponds easy to find and it was a nice quiet place to relax and unwind away from the hubub and touristy areas

A very nice park, beautiful flower arrangements and animals. The stork‘s are impressive and not only around their nest . A nice waterfall and if you have time rent a boat We will come back

Big park for all family, some big space for playing and having children play ground. They grow different kinds of flowers at different places. There are free toilets. It is very good to spend relaxing time with family or friends.

Architectural wonders. I really surprised and wondered on this cathedral architecture. It amazing and look very nice. There is no entrance fee. But there is security and he will check your bags. Inside of the cathedral is also great. You will enjoy it. Everything about this cathedral is displayed on the screen inside the cathedral that really valuable. Not too crowded if you have patience you may get nice photos of the cathedral. In side there is clock and its make bell on specific time.

The overall experience is good but was busy. So many people always in the way. The history of it being built was very interesting. It's amazing that structures can remain in the same location basically untouched for such a long time. The clock in the back is a highlight that you don't see in any other churches.

On a foggy morning in November we o pop aid a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg. We missed the morning opening time so we made sure we were standing in line for the afternoon opening hours. The queue, although long, moved quickly, and once inside we could see all of the stained glass windows and the mechanical clock in the far corner. We were there when the clock struck one o’clock - so not much movement on the animated figures at the top of the clock! The cathedral is worth a visit - even in winter!

We came for the Luminous exhibition in the evening. It was very beautiful, colorful and joyful with the show and the music in the background also was so beautiful. If you come for the show better come at least 20 minutes early to pick up the good seat. Totally recommend the show !

It is so beautiful sculpture, so huge and precisely made. I am so glad I have visited this place despite it was pretty hardly approachable by walking. Way from Colmar is lead through industrial zone and in the end you must run over roundabout to reach this impressing statue of liberty.

Visited this gem on the 4th of July and honestly? Best decision ever. Forget New York’s version — overcrowded, overrated, and overpriced. Colmar’s Statue de la Liberté was absolutely free, and I didn’t have to dodge a single obnoxiously loud tourist. She may be smaller, but she’s mighty — and way more photogenic without the background chaos. Bonus: you get a full 360° view without even leaving the comfort of your air-conditioned SUV.

The place where the journey through the fairytale city of Colmar begins. Nearby there is a convenient supermarket parking lot where you can leave your car. Thanks to the sculptor Bartholdi for his work

Very beautiful place, worth the trip. I didn't expect to see the Statue of Liberty in this place, I was pleasantly surprised. A wonderful and lively city with many places to visit.

We have stopped by just for fun. It’s a replica created in 2004 which is not the same size as the original figure. I have seen several replicas and this is bigger the other. If you have some free time before your flight you can stop by.

It's a nice experience but if they ad this as a tourist attraction. It should be placed in a park not in middle of the road. I reckon, it should be placed in a park.

We spotted the mini Statue of Liberty in Colmar while driving by, such a fun and unexpected sight! It’s a perfect stop to learn more about its history and connection to New York. A cool little landmark with interesting background and symbolism. Such a cool surprise when leaving Colmar.

A little out of the way but if you have a car it is worth the efforts to visit the abbey and church

Free parking lot. Dog are not allowed in this place. At entrance boutique souvenirs at affordable price. You will find toilet on the left just before the first gate. Nice scenery from the terrace and 2 beautiful chapel to visit, free entrance.

Lovely chapel at the top of a mountain. The view on sunny days is incredible, you can see as far as Strasbourg. Lots of pretty buildings to visit and learn about, the place oozes history. The café is very good, and for adventurers, take the path down to the natural water source. You can even drink the water, so fill your bottles before going for a walk!

Great View from the mountain top, also nicely restored castle. Kind of shows the common French-German history quite well. Nice place to visit. Not the cheapest visit, but definitely worth it.

An amazing place. As an English visitor I was greeted with kindness and plenty of English signs to read. The staff were lovely and the cafe was fantastique!! Well worth the trip and would visit again!! ** Just beware, lots of steps!! ;)

True travel through time as you enter the castle doors. You can feel the deep connection with the Middle Ages and the ways of life in that castle. There is a rich presentation of the rooms and l their decors based on the era. In addition to the unbelievable gorgeous view of the hills around since you are on top of the mountain. A fantastic must-see, in my opinion

As it seems with all restored castles, this one looks real and authentic with reconstruction finished in 1908. I wish the weather was more accommodating at the time of my visit to check out the views of surroundings from the castle walls, but, alas, fog was just getting denser. That added eerie feeling moving the floors and entryways of the castle. Genuinely liked the visit, kind of scored all the marks visiting European castle. Castle has started as a watchtower for Rhine surveillance in 1147 and expanded in to a fortress at the end of 12th century. Fell into disrepair and neglect in 17th century and had its lucky break in 1899 when Kaiser Wilhelm II decided to restore it.

Very cool storybook castle on a hill. It was burned and looted in 1633 rebuilt in 1908 by Wilhelm II. There are W's everywhere for Wilhelm. Many of the weapons in the armory are authentic from the middle ages. The view alone is worth the visit. Rumor has it the art director for Game of Thrones visited for inspiration.

Great day trip from Colmar. Spent 2 hours exploring chateau and enjoyed this activity on November cold day. My recommendation - wear warm clothes. Nice activity!

I think it's one of the best preserved castles I have ever seen. Absolutely worth a visit! The mountain ridge is 757m and the castles defense towers are 65m high. Fantastic panoramic views over Alsace.

Very informal and nice dinner. We stopped by last night, I booked a table the same day (just few hrs before) also asking if they had some vegetarian options as on the menu there were only 2 and with my big surprise all the waiters and staff were very friendly and open to find other solutions for us. Eventually we managed to eat various different dishes. We had the onion soup, onion Tarte and then they proposed to us a terrine vegetarian. Thank you so much!

Au Dolder offers a lovely dining experience with fresh ingredients and truly tasty French dishes. The flavors felt authentic and well-prepared, making each plate a pleasure. Service from the young lady with dark hair who attended our table was impeccable—warm, attentive, and professional. A great spot for a satisfying French meal. We did't stay at the hotel so I can't judge that. Nevertheles the location and interiors are beautiful.

The atmosphere, the service was good. We had big portions, liked the menu and the tastes in general. Wine selection and the menu is ok too. We could find a table for 13 around lunchtime, so were lucky, but the place can get crowded as it's right in the centre of Riquewihr. The toilet is awful though, that surely needs improvement.

Our family have a great meal in this restaurant. They can’t speak or fully understand English and their menu mostly also not in English. We order by just guess the words that similar to English and surprise, their food is superb. We also tried Pinot Gris which recommended by tour guide. It was perfect. May be less tourist here, I guess. The phone line inside is weak and wifi is not available too.

Great starter of the day - white asparagus. Onion soup was ok. Cheese was on side instead of grilled, low amount of onions. Bread very stale. Two of us had the coq au vin Riesling, which was great! Beouf dishes were solid. Nice and good service.

We had lunch here july 21st. We arrived at 13:45, just in time to order food because the kitchen closes at 14:00. The waitress was very, very kind and helpfull with the English she knows, we didn't understand everything on the menu. I had the cheeseplatter, 5 tasty and different cheeses. My partner had the onion pie , which tasted also very good.

The place has the worst waiter ever, she wasn't interested in trying to talk to me, she was super angry and almost threw the plate on the table, avoid eating there

The museum is nice, there's no wait, and it's not too expensive. I like how most of the things are written in French, English and German, its nice to be able to understand something once in a while. The crystal pieces were immaculate, they look amazing. I just think there's something that you could add to it to make it even better. If i would rate it out of ten, it would be a seven, but i cant rate it out of ten.

What a lovely museum! It's light and spacious with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Learning about the life and fabulous work of Lalique was very interesting and the exhibits are breathtaking! There are some activities for children and adults to make the visit more engaging if you wish. A lovely place which isn't stuffy like many museums.

If I could give 3.5 I would. Museum is alright, not too big. Friendly staff, niche subject matter, nice little store. Not that interesting to me personally, although the glass did look really cool.

Opened in July 2011, the Lalique Museum is unique in Europe. Situated in the village where master craftsman René Lalique founded his factory in 1922, it pays homage to this genius of a designer. More than 650 pieces are on display, embracing all aspects of the Lalique creativity : designs, jewellery and items of glassware and crystal ware.

Museum was interesting, nice glasswork! The bistro manager lady was very unfriendly, she was sending other People away, we left as soon as possible... 🙈

The wild water slide is a lot of fun. I think my kids rode it one hundred times in a row. The place inside is very nice as well, but the water was a bit cold especially the hot tubs. It was a bit crowded on Saturday but that is to be expected. Overall a fun place, just the water needs to be turned up a bit in heat. I also wish there was another food option other than the Quick place. The food isn't that good and it's very pricey. Maybe a snack machine or something would be good. Still fun though.

Fun Activity Park My kids loved this parc, they kept asking for the few following months when we would come back. It had everything, the water slides, the horses, the forest, the chimney in the room, etc. Overall they really enjoyed it. It is also really big, so you have some much to do. We stayed 4 days (3 nights) and that was just about right, any less would have felt too short I believe.

Very good aqua mundo, but there are better in other center parcs!

We visited today. The park was very busy, which I knew that it would be the case as it was a weekend day but I still didn't expect HOW busy it would be and feel. For what you get I found the park incredibly over priced. €144 for 1 adult and 3 kids. When you want to consume your own good you have to get dressed and actually leave the aqua centre and eat outside only to then get dressed again and re enter the pool. It feels like you are being 'forced' into buing their overpriced and over processed food at the side of the pool. Also my kids were not allowed to use the slides ect without an adult apparently which is tricky as I was there a single parent with 3 kids and an infant and the infant wasn't allowed on the slides my 6,10 and 12 year old wanted to use. I wouldn't go again.

Great aqua park with six different slides (tubes, wildwater, etc.), a climbing wall, five whirlpools, an inner swimmingpool (temporarily with waves) and an outer swimmingpool. Unfortunately the aqua park was, compared to others in Center Parks, very crowdy. Most of the showers only distributed cold water without possibility to change the temperatures.

Insanely crowded, towels on all chairs and loungers, do not go unless you enjoy standing in line. Vast majority in the pool are locals on day tickets.

Very nice place. Only there for a days visit, but could easily have spent a couple of days or even a week there. Kids loved it

We went there for a day trip. This is one of if not the nicest animal park I have ever seen. It is spaceaus and beutiful for people and animals. The areas are very well looked after and tastefully created and decorated. Everywhere you look you see someone with true ability and style takes care of this. No kitch no nonsense- just a beatiful large park with a farm and some animals in it. Very nice playground for childre too. The only negative I can say- they need to change their catering partners or make them do better job. I am yet to see at least average level of quality from Eurest anywhere but the main restaurant food is really very low quality and very overpriced for what you get. It looks sad and unloved. It's really a big contrast between the restaurant and the rest of the park. So pack your snacks and avoid the panoramic restaurant if you go there. The soup serving place next to the playground looked a little better though. But we only had coffee and ice cream there so I don't know about the food. Nevertheless- for us it was more than 2 hour drive but it was totally worth it! Higly recommended, especially if you love animals and prefer to see them closer to their natural habitat instead of being placed into display boxes.

Amazing place, we've got the tree house, next to the wolves. Activities are super fun and engaging. Restaurants are both good. Staff is really prepared and enthusiastic.

Stayed here two nights with my son. We had lodge 14 with a view of the black bears. The park is well located and you can tell that they go out of thier way to organize activities so that everyone can enjoy thier visit. The animals are really well taken care of. I recommend the train ride as you learn a lot about the animals. We also did the soigneur du jour option biodiversité, but I don't think it was worth it for the price. However my son enjoyed it so I was happy. Breakfast and dinner is included if you are staying the night. This should probably in the future become a paid option (thus lowering the prices of the stay) because the food offered was really not that good at all and I am far from being picky food wise. We ate elsewhere the second night and breakfast we skipped all together. Otherwise, I would definitely visit and sleep there again but would love to not have to pay for food that I probably won't even like.

What a great day out. Lots of different animals, all in amazing enclosures, giving them space to roam as they might in the wild. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.

This place is amazing! We came here from Les Trois Forets for a visit and it is fantastic. Probably mt favourite zoo / animal park that I have ever visited. It is really big, so plan to spend the whole day here. The animals have such large enclosures, it's more like a nature reserve than a zoo. Absolutely brilliant day out, definitely recommend.

Wow wow wow... We know the parc and the animals ... Just a great experience every time. We slept with the Bears last time and it was great. This time, as big birthday present for my daughter we stayed in the jack London lodge and omg.. The weather was not so favourable, but who to blame.. so we went to the lodge as soon. As we could to also take advantage of the jacuzzi... The wolves did a great show in front of the window.. the lodge is just wow.. only the food could have been a bit better... Dinner that us. Breakfast was excellent Just an amazing experience... Not cheep but wow...

Absolutely beautiful! We parked in a structure not too far from here near city center. Look in my reviews for the location. This beautiful display of ancient architecture was very impressive. There is a great place to take a picture in front of the gate towards the main road. We just stood in awe!

It's a strange thing to find such Intact and extensive Roman ruins so far north in Europe! In many ways this building is better preserved than some of the buildings in Rome itself. Very informative interpretation, reasonably priced and presenting good views of the city!

Excellent landmark to visit in the middle of the delightful town of Trier. Museum offers a unique insight into local Roman and political history. Limited public conveniences and places to rest do reduce overall enjoyment, however there's many café options and restaurants nearby.

Amazing site to see - not often you csn see Roman ruins from the 2nd century. Built from huge sandstone blocks, some weighing 6 tons - without modern machinery. The only one of the 4 original gates still standing, it was spared because it was used as a church. Massive structure in the center of town that should inspire awe. A remnant of a different age, when the Roman Empire ruled much of Europe.

I visited on a Tuesday late afternoon at around 1600. It is a very well preserved Roman building, where you could enter and walk up to the third floor of the building for a ticket of €5 (Student ticket). The explanation on the history of this building was very detailed and informative. 1 hour is well sufficient for a detailed visit for this landmark and learning its history. Overall, it is a fantastic experience to learn about the history of this area and I would definitely recommend people to visit.

These were Roman ruins in Germany. The are very well preserved to be 2,000 years old. A very nice little town

Very beautiful and crazy to believe this is one the few structures that remains within Roman time period. Trier was the capital of the Roman empire and you can easily imagine how everything was walking through those arches.

This was my first time visiting the Trier Cathedral (Trier Dom), and I was truly impressed by the grandeur and historical richness of the place. The architecture is breathtaking — a perfect blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles, reflecting over 1,700 years of history. The atmosphere inside is calm and spiritual. The high ceilings, ancient stone walls, and stained glass windows give a powerful sense of timelessness. It’s amazing to think this is the oldest cathedral in Germany, with parts dating back to Roman times. There’s also a lot to explore: the Holy Robe (Heiliger Rock), the crypt, and the quiet courtyards surrounding the complex. Entry is free, and there are brochures in multiple languages available for visitors. I highly recommend taking your time to sit quietly inside and soak in the peaceful environment. Whether you’re religious, interested in history, or just love beautiful architecture, the Trier Dom is a must-visit.

Trier Cathedral, old architecture marvel because it was built in a very old era. Beautiful historical structure with religious importance because of the holy robe. Last time it was displayed in 2012 to the public where large number of visitors came. To visit inside there are certain timings which changes from winter.

Amazing cathedral and architecture, with roots going bsck 1700 years to Roman occupation. Current structure from 13th century and stunning both inside and out. Free to enter, with several options inside to donate towards supporting the building. Hard to imagine how they built it without modern tools. The ceilings are well over 10 stories high, and they elaborate carvings and paintings are simply stunning!

There are many beautiful and breathtaking cathedrals across Germany and Europe but this one stands at the top with the best. While on the outside it may not appear as daunting or heavenly, inside is quite the opposite. What a breathtaking experience. Be sure to go down below to the catacombs and outside to the courtyard. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Trier.

A good must visit place in Trier center. Walkable and cathedral looks magnificent. The entire place around the cathedral gives a glimpse into the old Germany. Also entire place will be tourists who are interested in visiting Trier.

The sculptures are beautifully intricate and the whole building is awe inspiring. Some is a bit creepy, but I guess it’s incentive towards good living.

Very busy but also the best spot to take your family and friends to see the ‘Saarschleife’. It’s a fun walk with some puzzles and riddles along the way for kids. The top can be crowded depending on the weather and time of day. Can take a fair bit until it’s your turn to take the perfect photo ;) You can also buy a season pass which will give you unlimited access for a whole year.

Lovely place with astonishing view, is very nice to see places in Germany countryside with infrastructure to receive tourist. The view is amazing and they even have an elevated walkway in the middle of the trees. Very easy to access by train and bus. Only issue was the price (12,5€), for a student it was so expensive and the student price was not appealing at all (11,5€), only 1€ discount.

Incredible experience for families accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Interes hike with activities for children and educational facts. View on top from the tower is breathtaking. Totally worth its price. We paid 27 euros for a family ticket of two kids and two adults.

Cool place with interesting information. With kids makes a lot of sense to go because of the nature explanation. Without you can think about just going to the little free lookout below. View is nearly as good.

Very nice viewpoint to see the saar and Saarschleife You can walk up and then also under towards the saar river Banches are above with view points You can also spot squirrels on the way! Accessible for everyone even wheelchair and strollers! A must when visiting Saarland!

For the price, this is an excellent attraction, as you can spend many hours walking around. The main attraction for us was definitely the tree top walk and the viewing platform. The walk across the boardwalk has several interactive points for children, although I didn't see any information written in English. It isn't too strenuous, and inclines are suitable if you have a pushchair or a mobility walker so everyone can enjoy this experience. As the name suggests, you're walking at tree top heights, therefore thise who have issues with height don't look down. What i would say is, if you're ok with looking straight across at a view (opposed to down), definitely do this, as the views are to behold. On a clear day, you can see for miles, over the woodlands and river Sarr. I would also encourage everyone to slowly walk the boardwalk before the viewing platform, as there are many birds flying around and with many bird feeding stations on the route you are sure to see some beautiful little birds. The 2 we saw a lot of were the Nuthatch & Crested Tit. If you want to spend the day, suggest taking a picnic.

Located in the centre of Nancy next to Place Stanislas, the Pépinière park is a wonderful green place for families and couples. It has a rose garden, a mini zoo where peacocks freely wander around, a great playground, sports field, merry-go-round and children's rides. It also has a small cafe and ice cream stand. There are many floral displays, also wooden architecture exhibitions and beautiful paths with ancient and exotic trees for a stroll. Magnificent and calming place.!

A good place to relax. Extensive trails on 21 acres. There are several gardens including a rose garden. Several rides for children and a band shell for entertainment. Snacks are available at several stands.

Huge park and great ambiance. Situated just beside city centre and good for sports, gatherings etc. We have been to this park few times during our visit to Nancy and enjoyed a lot

I don't think I've seen such a beautiful park during my stay in France. It's clean and well-maintained. It's also possible to have a drink or eat in the park. I recommend it !

Nancy is a beautiful French 🇫🇷 town in Lorraine gifted by Luis XV to the Polish King 1704–1709 i 1733–1736, Duke of Lorraine and Bar in the years 1738–1766, where Stanislaw Leszczyński resided to the end of his life.

Really loved it. A mix of French and Polish baroque. The place and the surrounding garden was really friendly. We saw a dancefloor in the middle of the gardens, behind a really nice cafe. All the locals young and old swinging to the music. Magical.

I visited Place Stanislas today and was completely charmed. The golden gates, elegant facades, and lively atmosphere made it feel like walking through a fairytale from the old times. It felt peaceful and inviting I took a break by the Neptune fountain, enjoying the breeze and the sound of water — such a calming moment in the middle of the city. This place isn’t just beautiful; it has soul. I’m truly grateful I got to experience it.

This is an extraordinarily magical place at night and a must-see during the day! Baroque styles Gates and decorations on the buildings make this one of my favorite spots in Nancy! Fun fact: this place, the place de la Carrière and the place d'Alliance are part of the World Heritage Site 💯

Absolutely stunning square and a true gem of Nancy. Place Stanislas is beautifully designed, with elegant 18th-century buildings and golden gates that shine in the sunlight. The atmosphere is lively during the day with cafés and people enjoying the space, and at night the light show on the buildings is magical. A perfect place to stroll, relax, or take photos. Definitely a must-see if you’re visiting Nancy

Very interesting site with an English speaking guide telling us detailed things about the place, its history, and even provided a demo of a mortar launcher used then (without the mortar obviously). The place is well preserved and has good exhibits. It involves quite some walking (the whole tour took at least 2.5hours plus waiting time) and a short train ride. It is also pretty cold (12 degrees Celsius) under ground so make sure to wear something warm. Overall, it was an enjoyable and good learning experience for our family. The only remark I had was the tour is supposed to start at 14.15 (regardless which language) and we were requested to arrive at 14hrs. The French speaking tour started 10min later than 14.15 but the English one only started after 14.30 and the German one even later. It would've been better if various timing is communicated for each language's group so that visitors don't have to queue and wait for over half an hour.

Our tour of Ouvrage Hackenberg was the outstanding highlight of a recent three day visit to the Champagne Region. If you have the ability reach this remote location it’s definitely a “must see”. The capacity of the English language tour is limited so it’s advisable to book in advance. It’s also advisable to wear warm clothing. Our informative and entertaining English volunteer guide has a thorough knowledge of the facility and its history. Paul did an excellent job guiding us around the extensive labyrinth of tunnels that included a one kilometre ride on an original electric train to an outlying gun position. It’s a great credit to this team of volunteers that they are able to maintain this facility and keep so much of the original equipment in working condition.

Very interesting place to visit, it's entertaining all around the year. You need to take some warm clothes, even in summer. You can learn about history of Europe in 20th century, and see one of the most advanced engineering project in Europe. You need about three hours to enjoy this tour guided by the nice guy. Note: 6/5

Well this is certainly a tourist attraction with a difference. 'Attraction' may not be the correct word to use, but it is certainly a location that should be visited, if only to help some of those misguided individuals on our planet that seem to feel that war is the best way to accomplish their depraved goals. Taking the tour, and with a little imagination, you will get to understand some of horrors of what life was like for those who have experience war first hand, and get to see some of the remarkable infrastructure that was put in place underground, not just in this fortress, but also in many others in this part of France. The visit is fully guided and is progressive along an underground facility. It takes upwards of three hours, so be prepared for that. It is however, a truly must-see experience.

Definitely an amazing place! The architecture of the space is charming and makes the visit feel special. The artworks are interesting, modern, and very diverse. However, some of the pieces deal with sensitive topics in a very visual and direct way and I believe they should be labeled with a trigger warning. It’s not always suitable for sensitive audiences. Still, it’s a unique experience…

The art will make you angry (it’s a banana. Taped to the wall ffs.) but you know what? Good art should make you feel something, and there’s some very very good art here. Of course there is. The building itself is a breathtaking masterpiece as well, with well laid out and inventive gallery spaces, and all the amenities and accoutrements you’d expect from a world class institution. Excellent restaurant. Clean washrooms. And you didn’t hear it from me, but if you’re stuck for luggage storage waiting for your train, you can walk right in and store your bags for a euro. And you don’t even have to go into the museum ! Just go - it’s one of Metz’s main attractions.

The architecture of the Centre Pompidou alone is worth the visit – bold, elegant, and full of light. I explored two unforgettable exhibitions: Maurizio Cattelan’s ironic, provocative works and Marina Abramović’s participative experience “Counting the Rise.” Although I didn’t have enough time to take part in the participatory tasks set up in Abramović’s exhibition space, I still found the concept inspiring and thought-provoking. The atmosphere invites deep reflection and engagement with the human experience. In addition, on the second floor, visitors can discover works by over 40 international contemporary artists – a diverse and fascinating collection that adds even more depth and colour to the visit. You should definitely plan to spend a few hours or more to fully appreciate everything. An inspiring blend of architecture, performance, and contemporary art – highly recommended!

The Metz outpost of the famous Parisian contemporary art museum does not disappoint! The architecture is interesting and the exhibits are first class. The museum wasn't too busy either, which was rather nice. The kids very much enjoyed the museum as well, especially the temporary Maurizio Catellan exhibit. We found the staff to be friendly. Very highly recommended!

It was so much fun to explore, and the architecture was even more captivating from the inside. The wooden construction was truly impressive. Looking at the artworks inside was really enjoyable. Entry was free for those under 26, and the regular ticket cost €14.

This branch of the Pompidou modern art museum in Paris was opened in 2010. It is much more manageable than the main branch in Paris and the art is absolutely amazing. A 20 minute walk from the historic center of Metz. Or take the MA or MB bus using the ticket machines at most major stops. Highly recommend a 2-3 hour visit.

One of the most amazing cathedrals in France! When you stand in front of Metz Cathedral, you feel small and full of wonder. The golden stone shines in the sun, and the tall towers seem to touch the sky. Inside, the light is mystical. The stained-glass windows are not only from the Middle Ages but also modern, even by Chagall. They make the walls look alive with colors. It has the highest nave in France (41 meters), higher than Notre-Dame in Paris. It is called the “Lantern of God” because of more than 6,000 m² of stained glass.People say that at sunset, the golden stone creates an atmosphere that feels almost supernatural. This place is not just history. It is an experience. If you visit Metz, you cannot miss it.

Walking into Metz Cathedral - if you’re not exactly used to walking into thousand year old cathedrals - will leave you speechless, overwhelmed, and possibly teary eyed. It’s an astonishing edifice and on a sunny day the interior dances and glimmers with light and colour from the 1000s of panes of glass. You also have to appreciate and respect that this building is in active and daily use, so please - please - remain silent as you slowly wander the perimeter to marvel at the wonder of just how this building came to be, and the architectural miracle it is.

We visited the Metz Cathedral with a specific goal — to see the stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall, since Chagall was our compatriot, also from Belarus. The cathedral itself is magnificent, and the stained glass windows are absolutely mesmerizing. The light filtering through the colorful glass creates a magical effect — the patterns and colors evoke feelings that are simply beyond words. We couldn’t imagine anything that could make the experience even better, but while we were there, an organ concert began, and it turned the visit into something truly unforgettable. The combination of the music, the stained glass, and the atmosphere was enchanting. Since it all happened during the Christmas markets and holiday season, it became one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring experiences we’ve ever had.

Incredible cathedral in size, artistry, detail, and use of colors! Huge volume of space under immensely high ceilings and arches! Photos and video really don't do it justice.. The audio echoes and booms here. The richness of the murals, paintings, stained glass, and sculptures are mind-blowing! Definitely a must-see! No entrance fee, though parking is not free and space is limited. Public restrooms are across the street and are free, though not very clean; while there are urinals, there are no toilets, just holes in the ground.

It is very beautiful from the outside, but much more beautiful inside! This is one of the tallest, most beautiful and majestic cathedrals I have ever seen. If not the most! Its stained glass windows are simply incomparable. In such a place you feel some elusive magic, especially with the sounds of the organ.

It was very busy here, parking was full so we had to park next to the....its not really a highway, but it seems people love to drive fast on it. The scenery is stunning, as always where people come they tend to act like they forgot how to keep things clean, littering all over.

A charming spot and easy to access either by the main road or the wooden walkway parallel to the main road. I’d recommend taking the wooden walkway to the waterfall and return from the main road path for a different view. We parked at the free parking - Schiessentumpel. It was easy to find and had lots of spots.

I Hiked 4 hours in the area to end at this waterfall. -Its a small waterfall, but has its charm. -It was a bit over crowded when i was there, people swiming in the pool so you couldnt get clear pictures free of people. -There is a camp ground near by with people going to see waterfall too. -The waterfall is right beside the road, you can see it from the road. The river goes along side the road. You cross a pedestrian bridge over the waterfall to get down to the pool below. -Farther up the river i saw people going to the washroom in the river... with people swimming downstream. Overall a bit underwhelming, but its a nice area and nice small waterfall.

The waterfall is nice, but quite small. Since it’s right next to the road, many people stop just to see it, so it’s often crowded. Continue a few steps along Route 2 or 3 toward Berdorf or Beaufort—the landscapes there are beautiful as well.

The Schiessentümpel is one of the most beautiful spots in the Müllerthal region, also known as Luxembourg’s “Little Switzerland.” The waterfall itself is small, but the combination of the stone bridge, the stream, and the surrounding greenery creates a postcard-perfect view. It’s truly one of the most photogenic places in the country. Access is very easy: there’s parking nearby and just a short walk to reach the waterfall. For those who enjoy hiking, the famous Müllerthal Trail passes through the area, offering stunning landscapes with rock formations, forests, and streams. It’s worth visiting at any time of the year, but especially in spring or autumn, when the natural colors make the scenery even more magical. I recommend arriving early or later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more peaceful experience. A must-see stop when visiting Luxembourg!

Beautiful place, but not as magical as you are made to believe. It was a bit of a disappointment to discover this famous place is located next to the road, but we were in the neighbourhood so we decided to visit anyway. Even though the parking lot wasn't full, it was crowded around the waterfall (there isn't much space). In short: beautiful place ruined by the amount of tourists.

The waterfall was good and beautiful and you can swim under the waterfall. We followed at first the wrong route but we walked back to the parking and walked by the road. You also can play with the stones in the river.

Very nice zoo. A lot of different cats species, which i love. There are two shows, birds of prey and sea lions. Both are good, especially the birds of prey. Free parking is nice. The toilets could be better.

Super place, if weather is ok, and you have children - this is kind of place which you can spent whole day and it will not be enough! I was thinking what are the tickets for 2 days and yearly access to zoo?! And being there for 5h we saw 50% of all attractions prepared for visitors. Bad for Animals but perfect for visitors is that places for animals are not enormous- so you are able to see cats, wolfs, birds and any kind of animals. It’s a balance between safe place and attractions for visitors. HIGLY RECOMMENDED

We had a great experience visiting Zoo Amnéville! There are so many animals to see — lions, tigers, polar bears, rhinos, hippos, and many more. It was amazing to watch them all from such a close distance. This was the first time I’ve seen a lion so close, and it was truly an exciting experience for all of us. We really enjoyed our visit and appreciated how well the animals are cared for. It’s a wonderful place for families and animal lovers — highly recommended!

Amazing zoo, beautiful animals and very touchy. I was hugging a goat at one point lol. I would also touch more animals if I wasn't that scared lmao. 8/10 (wish it was less expensive, for two adults and one child we payed 100 euro, but if they need money to keep the animals healthy then I don't really mind)

The zoo was a delightful experience, offering a diverse array of animals, and our visit lasted approximately five hours. Regrettably, we were unable to observe some of the animals, as they were taking shelter. The animals appeared quite relaxed, possibly due to the warm weather. We were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the red panda. The Jurassic section proved to be particularly enjoyable for the children. While I cannot comment on the quality of the park's food, as we did not purchase any based on recommendations from friends and other reviews, it is worth noting that some areas of the park could be cleaner, and the presence of standing water in certain locations resulted in an unpleasant odor. Nevertheless, it is certainly a worthwhile destination if you happen to be in the vicinity.

I have an annual pass and it has been such fun to visit the zoo at different times of the year! It’s very kids friendly . Great place to take kids out, short walk or a full-day out. My baby likes observing all the animals. We watched polar bear Henk and Akoia fighting, a vulture trying to open our bag during his performance , kids feeding giraffes leaves, gorillas climbing up the to get bananas, penguins chasing a butterfly… many cherished moments. The staffs are always friendly. Hope there would be more different animations. Will renew the pass definitely.

Great park, a lot of animals. Make sure to take foods with you (especially if you have allergies) because food places closes at 14h. After that only icecream available. It’s better to start as early as possible, as we arrived at 12h at it was just enough time to see everything (we were 4 adults, so we were walking pretty fast everywhere). Animals look pretty looked after, in between areas there are enough benches, rubbish bins, toilets. Would come back again in future.

It ok, quite expensive for a few casements. Most the views are either obscured or the same as the last casement, you visited. I don’t think it’s worth €10 and adult. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an impressive feat of workmanship but you don’t really need to go inside to see them. Take photos from the top and the battlements on the bridge instead.

I visited Casemates du Bock and honestly, it was an amazing experience! The underground tunnels are full of history and mystery — it feels like stepping back in time. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially overlooking Luxembourg City. The place is well maintained and easy to explore. I’d really recommend visiting in the morning when it’s less crowded. Perfect spot for history lovers and photographers. Truly one of the most unique and memorable places in Luxembourg😍😍😍

Nice caves in the cliffs -There was only 1 person in line when i got here around 5 pm. -You get a map of the cave, but its pretty simple, you walk down looking at the rooms/lookouts, there is a few cannons, a well. -On the way out you cross the gate bridge on the inside level

I went on a Sunday at 1130 with their official guided tour which was hosted in English. The tour also offers other languages but do check and reserve your spot in advance as they do not open tours every hour/every day. The guided tour gave a lot of important information about the history of the Casemates, but also the city and urban planning in general. There were hardly any text printed out for visitors to read if you enter without any audio guide/tour guide. Therefore, remember to collect an pamphlet before entering the site if you want to know more about the history of the site. If you want to have more flexibility in exploring and taking photos at the site, I would suggest to explore on your own pace instead of joining the guided tour.

Going around the Casemates was amazing. Our tour guide was absolutely outstanding. Really do recommend paying the extra €8 and getting a tour because they are full of historic information about the history of the Casemates as well as some of the history about Luxembourg itself had a fantastic time took a roundabout about an hour and 15 minutes but it’s well worth a visit!

We were able to buy tickets when we arrived, which was convenient. Students can get tickets for €8 and I was not asked to show any ID. There is very minimal signage and none of it is in English, but they provide a pamphlet in multiple languages with helpful information. The views of the city are great and you get to see everything from a completely different angle than you would from the street. I am directionally challenged and got turned around a couple of times, but it was still easy to find the way out. I am 160 cm and did not feel like the space was small, but my friend who is 170 cm had to watch her head in a few spots. If you are taller than 180 cm, some areas may feel low and not very comfortable to move through. Overall, it was worth the visit.

A Weekend Well Spent in Luxembourg! Classmates Luxembourg was an absolute delight! We were lucky with the weather, which made our visit even better. We spent hours walking around, exploring the stunning views from various angles, and truly soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. We drove there by car and had no trouble finding parking—plenty of space, no waiting, and reasonably priced. The area is well-equipped with restaurants and food stalls, perfect for grabbing a quick bite on the go. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend escape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some breathtaking scenery!

Heavenly! The stained glass was gorgeous! The morning sunlight filled the church with jeweled toned colors! The organ music was richer than any I had ever heard! I don't know if it was the organ or the organist or the acoustics or all three together, but the sound was divine! The priest was dressed in exquisite vestments and sang like it was a concert performance! If Jesus would have returned at the end of the service, I would not have been surprised!

I particularly enjoyed watching how the light changed as the afternoon moved on — it gave the interior a new mood every few minutes, and made my short visit feel quietly cinematic. Afterward I wandered to a nearby café and carried that sense of calm with me for the rest of the day. If you’re looking for a relaxing cultural break, whether you’re into architecture, reflective moments, or gentle music (they sometimes have short recitals that add a beautiful soundtrack to the space), Notre-Dame is a wonderful pick. Tip: go earlier in the day for the best light and a quieter vibe. Overall, this was a serene and friendly experience — the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe, and appreciate the slower moments of travel. Highly recommended.

I visited Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg on Christmas Eve, and the atmosphere was truly unforgettable. A really beautiful cathedral in the centre of Luxembourg City. The architecture is impressive from the outside with its tall towers and detailed design, and inside it feels very peaceful and spiritual. The stained glass windows are amazing, especially when the sunlight comes through them. There are also nice statues and decorations everywhere. You can feel the history of the place while walking around. It’s not very big compared to some other European cathedrals but it’s still very special and definitely worth a visit if you are in Luxembourg. The area around it is also very nice to walk and explore.

The only cathedral in Luxembourg. Built in the Gothic style, but with many Renaissance elements. It has an interesting interior, and since I'm not a fan of lavish golden walls and decorations in such buildings, you won't see much of it here either

Beautiful church and definitely worth checking out. The crypt was unfortunately closed during my visit and I am not sure what the hours are for that area, but the main part of the church is still very impressive.

Must visit area if you're ever in Verdun. Douaumont is a well maintained fort knowing it's history. The route through the fort is confusing and the directions don't really help you. It causes you to get lost in the vast catacombs and slippery walkways. Try to follow the signs and you'll be alright but you will miss a lot of information.

Amazing tour. Well worth the 5 Euros. To get an audio guide it takes about an hour to go through. Has a lot of detail and very interesting stories. There are some blocked off sections of course but you can explore down pretty deep into it

Great experience by walking around the bunkers of the war time. Took around 30 minutes visiting the bunkers. The guided audio handset was useful. You can spend for time around the fort as well.

This fort, built in the 1890s, was the largest of a system of forts that were to protect Verdun against a German invasion. But it was poorly manned and taken by a small number of German troops without a fight in 1916. It became very useful to the Germans as a headquarters, supply center and a shelter just behind their front line. This loss may have cost France over 100,000 troops. In the next few years, France lost thousands of troops trying to recapture the fort. There are trenches all around and in the area of this fort. They are over grown but are easy to see and follow. It is hard to believe that 300,000 troops were lost during the battle of Verdun. There is plenty of parking and the entrance fee is very modest.

An excellent place to visit, the staff were very helpful and the audio guide explained the and significance of the fort, as well as detailing what it was like in the fort during combat. Well worth a visit

I climbed over the hills. I climbed into the fort. The entrance is by the South side, which was pounded by the French in their wrath. If you can climb over the fortress, and walk to the other side, you can see the way the Germans came in Feb 1916. This place is living history. Never forget what happened here. Important...bring a coat!

Great audioguided tour inside the fortress to help and understand the living conditions in here. Amazing and mind blowing landscape surrounding and on top of the fortress.

Take a jacket. It's very cold in the tunnels. A sobering experience of WW1 sitting on an electric vehicle for 4, for 35 mins with 3D goggles. I had difficulty with my goggles but otherwise this and the musemm over the road made for a great insight of history. Audio was in English French German.

This is an augmented reality experience. You will be on a small cart with AR glasses and follow french soldiers through their short stay at the citadel. You get to visit the living quarters, the kitchens, dining room, etc... Very informative! It does get cold, so I could recommend having a small sweater for comfort. Try to buy tickets in advance because it can get full pretty quickly.

I am so sorry to say we had a horrible experience at the Citadel. I’ve done this visit in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it, but the new system with the virtual reality goggles is a mess. The employees struggled to get the system to work and we had to wait over 30 minutes in the cold while they attempted to repair several carts. Once we were finally able to get a cart, we were fitted with our uncomfortable goggles. The sound was horrible, very loud, and my daughters made a loud noise about halfway through and then just stopped working. The idea seems good, but it’s a complete waste. When we spoke to the employee as we were removing our goggles to explain the problems, he suggested we ask for a reimbursement at the front desk. However, the employees at the exit were not helpful, avoided speaking to us and seemed to be tired of hearing all of the complaints. Very frustrating and disappointing for an experience that has such great potential. Don’t waste your money!

It was a nice 3D experience, very creative use of the galleries in the citadel. A little bit of a disappointment that the citadel itself on top was closed because of renovations.

You are greeted with a fantastic entrance, statues and a very clean entrance building, inside you are going to emerse yourself back into WW1, seated on an autonomous vehicle with a hologram headset on. You will be guided through the tunnels while enjoying the history the city of verdun hold during WW1

The first thing that impresses you about The Citadel is the size of it. Approaching the visitor entrance on foot allows you to see the walls close up and the construction of these was a colossal undertaking. During the 1914-1918 World War, Verdun (The Citadel) became the symbol of France's stand against Germany. During this conflict equal numbers of French and German soldiers died. Verdun remained in French hands despite the battle being one of the longest during WWI. The visitor experience of The Citadel is from the perspective of three soldiers arriving at The Citadel and then going back to fight again. After buying your ticket (no concessions) for €15 you walk into The Citadel and open a large door to a dark world. Lighting guides you forward to a station where you are given a disposable hair cover and step into a small buggy where you are then equipped with rudimentary VR headsets. The Citadel is like a cave and the ambient temperature is cold so make sure you bring something warm to wear. From this point your exploration of the tunnels in The Citadel is in the guided buggy with audio in your own language and film overlaid (using the VR headset) on the illuminated walls of The Citadel. Sound and film recreate the experience of the soldiers and illustrate what life underground must have been like. The billets, bakery and medical services feature in their experience. The commentary explains details of the importance of the site to France and the recognition and respect paid by the allies at that time. This guided experience takes around 30 minutes and you arrive at another 'station' where you leave the darkness and proceed on foot exploring the mess hall and other tunnels before stepping back out into the sunlit walkway past a restored section or the exterior wall. After a few interactive displays you find yourself at the end of the tour in the gift shop. The Citadel is without question impressive and the human endeavour that has led to its construction cannot be underestimated. To have been here during WWI would have been a respite from the horrors of battle or a life underground supporting others. Whilst the guided tour was interesting and brought the experience of a few here to life, it would have been good to physically walk around more of the tunnels and seen more of the remaining artifacts in place. Overall an interesting place to visit. An experience rather than a museum, probably best as a starting point before visiting other historical sites in the area. Use of technology could be improved as this type of application develops quickly and the AR seems dated. We visited late afternoon (about 16.00) and there were very few people around - just two of us in our buggy (max 5). Check opening times and be aware that coach trips come here so it will get busy on occasions.

Excellent site to discover the Maginot Line. The guided tour lasts 2 hours, and the guide proved to possess a wealth of very interesting information.

Amazing museum, definitely worth a visit! Clear remnants of battle and an amazing fully original interior with kitchen, diesel generators (the generators were quite peculiar, very intriguing) and weapons. Very sad but true story about the 107 men who died there defending their country. As per Fallout 4 (video game): "War... War never changes" With these uncertain times going on in the world right now it's definitely worth it to reflect on historical events such as these! Keep in mind that english tours are only for groups of 15+ people.

We had a very impressive tour in the fortress that was once part of the Maginot line.

Fascinating place with a very moving history. The guided tour is a must although it's helpful if you have a little French!

An amazing part of the Maginot line where the defenders held till their last. We stumbled upon driving from bouillon to stennay and what a find it was. The cemetery which contains the defenders is across the road from the memorial adjoined to the Fort.

We had an amazing experience at fort de la ferté. We got there with the Tucker Tour and had a 2 hour long private tour with tour guide and fort expert Roger. What an amazing tour guide he was! The fort itself is very impressive and is in the same state where the Germans left it after capturing it, but the explanations of Roger made it even better. He was so full of excitement and really was passionate about the fort and everything around it. The tour was two hours and every aspect about the fort was explained well en clearly. There was a lot of room to ask questions and since the fort was not tidied up or renewed, it was a really immersive experience that really lets you feel what the soldiers in the fort felt. We want to thank Roger for making this an amazing experience and he should really get all the recognition there is. Furthermore the fort and the museum is an excellent depiction of the maginot line and is well worth the money!
