Cramele Recaș Store

Wine store
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Cramele Recaș Store is a fantastic wine shop that offers an extensive selection of bottled wines. The store has a top brand section called Solo Quinta, which is highly regarded. Additionally, they have various fruity and sweet blends available. Although Solo Quinta may be pricier than other options, there is also a delightful coupe red wine blend that costs around 20 lei. The store provides breathtaking views of the vineyards, particularly during sunset.
Beautiful views of the vineyards, especially around sunset. Went there for a dinner and wine tasting event. The building is quite nice, a bit moldy in the basement where the dinner took place. Good wines, good food, even better landscapes around.

This is the place if you want to buy quality wine. I have been here several times, very good quality
Cristi T — Google review
Very nice wine store for bottled wine, I really enjoy their top brand section Solo Quinta as well as a few other fruity and sweet blends. While Solo Quinta is more expensive than usual, the sweet, coupe red wine blend which I also loved is around 20 lei.
Ioana P — Google review
Place looks amazing and they have a wine shop where you can buy bottles. They offer a short tour and if you set an appointment you can be served food and drinks. For groups of 5-6 people they make the appointments only during their opening hours but for bigger groups they are more flexible with the schedule.
Irina C — Google review
Absolutely wonderful, so clean and the people are so nice. Went to find a specific type of wine and the amazing lady there was so helpful! Thank you!
Alexander P — Google review
First of all, a good wine is the wine you like enough to drink. " I accept any philosophy, if it is sprinkled with a good wine." ☺️For me a good wine is a balanced wine, and in a glass of balanced wine no flavor stands out in favor of another.

The domain is large and offers all kind of activities - horse riding, adventure park, fishing pond. The restaurant is ok, but the menu could use some variety.

Nice and beautiful place close to Timisoara, Barbecue also during the week available. Restaurant can be improved. On my plate Potatoes and meat was cold. After reclamation was everything changed and better warm.
Bernd G — Google review
This place is amazing and reassuring. The food is tasty, you can walk through the forest and ride horses. Highly recommend:)
Mihaiela N — Google review
You can try horse riding, the adventure Park and the restaurant here also bike rides. You can also just visit and enjoy sunbathing or playing badminton. The adventure Park has quite a range of routes you can choose from depending on the difficulty you want-black, blue, red routes. There are also horse contests you can attend during the summer. The prices for the park are okay.

Very nice surroundings, our tour guide explained them very well, great food, good serving, and the wine is absolutely gorgeous, they've got rooms you can stay if driving is not an option anymore
Teodor F — Google review
Wine producer location. Nice place, great view from the top of the hill. You can stay over night, get a tour of the winery, listen to the wine making process, from the owner itself if you catch him there. Lots of types of wine. The room was clean. The breakfast is simple, omelette, eggs, various salami, cheese, fresh vegetables, cereal, coffee, tea, water. We were with a group, had dinner which you can prebook, had the tour and wine tasting. We had a series of 9 wine taste, but they have details on the webpage if interested. They have also a shop were you can buy the wines they are producing. You can buy bottled and also bulk wine.
Adi S — Google review
The guesthouse is located at the base of a hill with their vineyards, so great positioning. As you climb the hill you can see up to Arad, plus the vineyards landscape. The food is good and in large portions. The service is nice. You have access to great wines and good prices directly from the cellar. The room had AC. We had a small incident regarding type of room which was quickly solved in a positive manner. The personnel is friendly. The rooms are quite basic, maybe a bit basic for the price. No fridge in the room. If you are alone at the guesthouse in small group, limited menu is available for meal.

Bega River

Bodies of Water
Bega River, flowing through the heart of Timisoara, offers a picturesque setting with lush greenery and charming bridges. The riverbank provides a beautiful walking path where you can admire the cityscape and the Timisoara Orthodox Cathedral from afar. In summer, riverside cafes and restaurants create a lively atmosphere. Bega River is not only an aquatic lifeline but also a hub for events and festivals that celebrate the city's natural beauty.
Boat ride is only 1 lei , highly recommend!
Muhannad A — Google review
Nice place for walking, relaxing. In the past river was cleaner and you could swim, but now you can't.
Danijel Z — Google review
Very nice view.
Loredana S — Google review
A very nice river which pass through all Timisoara Town. To admire the places, and parks that are situated on both banks of the river you can take the public bus boat and make a short journey. The boats are new and modern. A good way of transportation!
Eugen D — Google review
Nice to have a walk on the shore, you can also take the boat bus but there are still some thinks that need improvements. Also Bega Boulevard it's a lovely event and in the summer you may enjoy a lot of restaurants on both sides.
Valentin P — Google review
The dirtiest and the most smelly river you can find in Serbia. To be even funnier there is no industiral waste, the main reason is that sewerage from the whole city with around 70k citizens, goes to this river, then via Tisza and Danube to Black sea where people swimming in our wastewater
Igor I — Google review
One of the nicer things about Timisoara has to be its river Bega. Recently some things have changed but here's an update : 1) the closer you get to the central part of town, the more you'll be pleased aesthetically by the river banks. 2) good place to go by bike for a ride. Nice for long strolls. A good choice for runners also. 3) you've got many options when it comes to food and drinks as far as I am concerned 4) plenty of parks near it that you can explore if you chose to do so 5) activities such as kayaking are out for now because city council has put in a new transportation system in place (small boats up to 50 people i think) that I can't be 100% objective about because some restrictions have been put in place now on water sports on the river so I'll let you make up your mind on how you feel about it. 6) fishing is possible if that's something you enjoy 7) further plans on enhancing aesthetics are in place and on going.
Adi M — Google review
Nice parks and side walks. Nice for a week relaxing by the river, playground for kids. Activities in the water. It's getting better and better as time goes by.

Roses Park

Gardens
Roses Park in Timisoara is a serene and picturesque park renowned for its vibrant rose gardens, hosting various outdoor concerts, festivals, and events. The park's history dates back to the 1891 Universal Exposition and has undergone several transformations. With over 6000 rose bushes, it boasts one of the largest rose collections in Europe.
A beautiful park spread across more than 6 acres of land on the shore of the Began canal. The park has been an important landmark of the city since its opening in 1819. After being destroyed during the war, the park has been renovated several times, with new roses and new canopies and seating areas being added each time. Throughout the year the park is host for several cultural events while the roses bloom during spring and summer, providing an exceptional view and scent.
Liviu-Cristian M — Google review
Beautiful park. Right next to the river. Roses did not flurish yet, when we visited, but still was very nice. Must see place in Temisoara in my opinion.
Bojana A — Google review
The park is big and was transformed into a huge space for the festival this week 😍 I am so glad we got to experience this beautiful cultural and diverse experience during our 5-day stay in Timişoara 🥰 There were people from all ages, families, and lots of talented artists 🤩 There were also food trucks lined up on the street before going in the park so I am super happy I got to eat more Romanian food too 🥹 The park is clean, well maintained and very relaxing for walks or runs or spending time alone or either family/friends. I highly recommend to visit it and wander around 😊
Elia N — Google review
We visited in early April, which was too early for roses to bloom (but other flowers were in full bloom all across the city). Still, it was obvious that this was well designed park and popular place. The park is located just minutes from the city center, on the beautiful bank of the Bega river. Also, the street leading to the park has beautiful trees which were on full bloom when we visited.
Marija R — Google review
This was one of my favourite mud holes in Romania. Personally, I’m glad they cleared away all the roses because they were likely ruining the view of all the mud. I appreciate Timisoara is known as a garden city but I’d gladly support its transition to the nations favourite building site for 2026.
Lee B — Google review
Very beautiful and modern park of roses with concert hall on air. There is the children trampoline zona. Very good place for relax and cap of coffee. We were on festival of Romania and Ukrainian cultures. it was very good organized by Ukrainian union of Timisoara in Romania.
Viktoriia A — Google review
It's a small park in the city center. There are lots of roses to admire, but most are small, and very few are perfumed. When you're surrounded by roses, you'd expect rose perfume.
Andrei M — Google review
It's a cute park. My friend who lives there mentioned that there were a lot more roses in the past and now the local authorities are putting effort into rehabilitating it so that it can live up to its name again.

Victoriei Square is a popular tourist spot in Timisoara featuring stunning Baroque-era mansions, art nouveau palaces, and an impressive Orthodox cathedral surrounding a bustling cobbled plaza. Currently undergoing renovations, visitors can expect to see improvements in the near future. The area also boasts several restaurants and shops for travelers to explore. Additionally, the square is home to an opera house that should not be missed.
Wide and long square where one can enjoy sitting on the bench looking at the greenery, flowers and beautiful colored facades. Like in a fairytale during all seasons! Both for kids and people of all ages. Everything seems authentic, no shining billboards like in other European cities. I’m sure to visit it again ❤️
Mirjana M — Google review
Fascinating architecture. We were very lucky, it was drizzling and our group was the only one in the square. Impressive place!
Cheresh N — Google review
It's a posh little square. It is lined with flowers and fountains. Benches between the flower beds are lovely to sit and take a small break from walking. It seems like there will be a big event here as there are a lot of vans with heavy equipments are being set on the ground. (Today is September 24 2025)
Rie T — Google review
Built in the early 20th century, Victory Square features impressive architecture from the Secession and Neo-Romanian styles. The facades of the buildings surrounding the square are richly decorated, giving it a charming, old-European atmosphere. The wide promenade through the center is filled with colorful flowers and fountains, making it a favorite place for locals and tourists to walk and relax. It is really a beautiful place.

A really nice square really hard to miss it specially if you live somewhere in the centre. A really nice place to walk have a cup of coffee and shop. It’s it’s most too crowded around the afternoon But I wouldn’t describe it as a busy place. I visited the square in October the weather was really nice.

"Three Holy Hierarchs" Metropolitan Cathedral

Mentioned on

Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
The "Three Holy Hierarchs" Metropolitan Cathedral is a remarkable Neo-Moldavian Romanian Orthodox cathedral located in its own park on the south side of Piata Victoriei. It is a technical marvel, able to accommodate 5,000 worshippers under its nine towers. The cathedral's design was influenced by Medieval Byzantine churches of Moldavia and features a cavernous interior without columns, made possible through the use of reinforced concrete.
We stopped by the Metropolitan Cathedral on a warm afternoon and were truly touched by its peaceful and majestic presence. The architecture is stunning, both inside and out, but what really took us by surprise was the Cathedral Museum located in the basement. It’s a must-visit – featuring an impressive collection of religious icons on wood, glass, and canvas, beautifully embroidered and sculpted sacred objects, as well as a remarkable selection of old religious books. It adds so much depth to the experience and gives visitors a real appreciation for the spiritual and artistic heritage of the area. Truly a serene and enriching place.
Consuela V — Google review
A historical cathedral that enchanted my heart and became a must stop on my short stay 🩵 The cathedral has a different charm at night, majestic and magical with its lights. It has another charm during the day with the sun moving around it. Always radiating with beauty 🙌🏻 We were lucky enough to be there also for the festival parade on 2nd July 🥰

Old city of Timisoara, Romania, first class experience. Nice interesting old buildings reconstructed, clean streets. Everything is in a walking distance, you do not need taxis. Lots of cafes and restaurants not expensive that depends, sorry. We at at traditional Romanian restaurant which Offer Romanian cuisine, very tasty and for 2 big portion it was AUS$ 47. Again Australian $ is very low about 1€=2aus $. We travelled by car and pared it in city centr. We bought SIM card just for a day.

This is the simbol of Timișoara, the beautiful orthodox cathedral. A place that we all love and cherish. Anyways, we cannot, and should not forget that on December 1989 the clergy closed and locked the main doors and the people of Timisoara, were massacred on the stairs of the church!
Rasputin — Google review
The Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral in Timișoara is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a true architectural masterpiece. Its imposing Neo-Romanian design, adorned with distinctive mosaics and stained-glass windows, dominates the main boulevard. The interior radiates warmth and spiritual peace, decorated with beautiful icons and frescoes. The cathedral also holds great historical significance, especially during the events of 1989, making it a place of silent tribute. A visit here leaves a lasting impression and offers a glimpse into Romania’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
Ivana I — Google review
Cathedral of the Three Holy Hierarchs made me truly speechless. From the moment I spotted its soaring towers and colourful glazed-roofs, I knew I had entered a place where history, faith and art come together in one magnificent experience. For any traveller to Timişoara, this cathedral isn’t just a landmark to photograph — it’s an experience to feel. I left with a sense of having touched something much greater than just beautiful architecture: a living piece of heritage and heart of the city. You must go there. PLUS - in general Timisoara city is beaitiful and worth visiting - the city center is amazing full of interesting places. Timișoara is a masterpiece, multicultural city with a rich architectural heritage and a forward-looking spirit so if you will have time just go there.

A central place by the river. good food. Uncomfortable chairs. fair price. Sometimes the waiters are very slow.
Oded M — Google review
The landscape is great and I am sure that during summer, when the terrace is open the view makes all the money. The food would be 7/10, the staff, very close to 10/10, professional and affable. Overall it was an OK experience.
Frantiuc A — Google review
This restaurant is quite a legend among locals in Arad. It is a restaurant, but most of its panache is because of the terrace during the warm season. The prices are low, the foods are great, especially the "mici" (minced meat meatballs on the barbecue), draft beers, but they also have a menu. The location is extraordinary, exactly on the Mures river bank. This is the best characteristic of this restaurant. Unfortunately, the services are not great and are always understaffed. This is already in the urban myth and it is known that when you are there, when you get to order, you must order the food, all the beers you want to drink and maybe when you receive them, you pay. Other than that it is great.
Vlad M — Google review
this place has an amazingly bad reputation with the locals. it has one of the most adored locations in the city, right by the river, and yet, the management has failed to deliver on a simple aspect in the service industry: quality waiters. apart from the fact that they are always late with any type of order, be it just a bottle of soda that just needs to be taken out of the fridge and taken to the customer, they are rude, rarely answer your calls and if you want the complain and are straight up belligerent. and if the venue hosts football nights, forget about you drinks. :)
Zsolt K — Google review
Even though the location is nice, the service is horrible with extremely rude staff, just ignoring customers. The waiters do not understand english (i.e. Redbull must be translated to Romanian) and apparently are also suffering from cerebral achromatopsia. Just save yourself some time and don't ruin your day by visiting this place.

Such a shame, wonderful location, but staff incredibly rude. After waiting 25 minutes just for our order to be taken, when complained to the waitress she replied: well if you waited 25 minutes you can wait another half an hour. We got up and just left... Don't waste your time

Lazy and very lazy unorganised waitress. Very nice place location though. It's a pity. Romanian people said that they are like this from last 30 years. Shame. Chelneri lenți și indiferenți. Așa fac de 30 de ani. Păcat de locație.

The town hall of Arad and the city center itself. The building itself is one of the largest and most beautiful in the city.

City is old and run down but people seem to be friendly. But I'm not particularly enjoy the way people drive here, it's crazy! Overall, I've had a good experience here and would like to visit again in the future.

This monument building is one of the significant works of eclectic architecture in Arad. You should visit the interior of this palace. It is wow.
Picioare C — Google review
An impressive building dominating Revolution Square in Arad. This is the Arad City Hall. Built at the end of the 19th century, it is one of the finest examples of eclectic style in the city. A perfect spot for photos and an architectural landmark you shouldn't miss when exploring the center of Arad :)

One of my favourite place in Arad, my hometown. If you take a brake on one of the benches situated at the front of the city hall, you can feel the pulse of the city, at any hour. Also, between 19:00 and 23:00 the motorcycles and the sport / tuned cars, are making their promenade! Love it!

And there is even a bio-brewery. Very nice exhibitions, both the long-term & the temporary also. The guide is very nice. The 3D rendered light painting on the building of the castle in the late evening hours is simply amazing! Check it’s time with the staff, preferably via phone, because the start of the show depends on sunset’s time. The show is simply amazing. 😊☕️🎫🎟🎬🎞🍫🎼🎭🎇🏛🏰

Nagyon szép és érdekes volt. I visited the castle in may,and really liked it.When you happen to be in Lökösháza,you are ought to stop and visit the Mures-Bréda castle, because you will find an interesting history. Thanks to european funds, the castle was brought back to its former glory a few years ago,and now it looks like new. I strongly reccomend it. Recomand să-l vizitați!

The webpage contains still the opening hours from the winter. I called the phone number. A man picked it up, without telling his name. I asked, that is there the projection today, on Monday? He answered: “no, but it will be on Tuesday, at 21:00.” I asked, can we visit the exhibition before? The answer was “yes”. We arrived on Tuesday at 20:00. A lady just closed the exhibition, because it closes at 20:00. And told to us, that the projection is organized only at weekends. Nobody picked up the phone then. Terrible organization, will be shortly bankrupted? We driven 100 km for that :(

Nestled in the charming town of Gyula, Hungary, the stunning Gyula Castle is a remarkable 600-year-old Gothic structure that invites visitors to explore its rich history and breathtaking views. This beautifully refurbished castle offers an interactive experience for families, making it a perfect destination for those traveling with children. As you wander through its ancient halls and narrow circular staircases, you'll discover fascinating exhibits that bring the past to life.
This is a must visit in Gyula, one of the most important landmarks of the city, rich in history and culture. We have enjoyed our time here regardless of the rain and would recommend visiting it! 😄

Pretty cool castle! Mix of both modern and new areas although more of it is renovated than original. Cool bird outside. Each room has an exhibition and I saw some pretty cool elements which I haven’t seen in other museums before. Worth the visit if you’re in the area!
Nikol — Google review
Nice castle with the river next to it. There are hawks outside the entrance, which was very interesting. Around the river, if you walk, you find lots and lots of ducks and ducklings and other birds

Pleasant and unique experience, an example of how a citadel built in the 15th century, can be enhanced and provide us with a lot of historical information through the owned collections and multimedia presentations. Unfortunately, the multimedia presentations are only in Hungarian, maybe in the future they will add presentations in tune or more international languages
Calin H — Google review
beautiful castle. nicely renovated. independent visiting concept. however, written descriptions were only in Hungarian.
Marius G — Google review
This is one of the most important historical landmarks of Gyula. Visiting it is a nice experience because it's nice and it's a crucial part of the city's history that dates back to hundreds of years. This is a true medieval experience that shouldn't be missed by people coming to visit Gyula. I recommend it! 👍⭐️👏💪
Mario-Liviu G — Google review
We visited the castle with our 11 and 9 year old kids, they absolutely loved it, and so did us. We paid about 38 EUR for 2 adults and 2 kids, but the tickets included visits for the Andrássy castle too. I say it's a fair price. The castle is completely restaured, there is even a real blacksmith shop on site, where you can buy for about 3 EUR a lucky horseshoe with your name on it.
Laszlo E — Google review
Gyula Castle, located in southeastern Hungary, is a beautifully preserved medieval fortress offering a unique glimpse into the country's rich history. Built in the 15th century, the brick castle features a moat, high defensive walls, and a stunning inner courtyard. Inside, visitors can explore a well-curated museum showcasing period weapons, furniture, and historical exhibits. The panoramic view from the tower is worth the climb. Seasonal reenactments and cultural events add extra charm to the visit. Its peaceful park surroundings and proximity to thermal baths make it an ideal day trip destination. Gyula Castle masterfully blends history, architecture, and leisure.

Very well organised, beautiful museum. A great place to visit if you have kids. They have many interactive exhibitions, great for kids. We visited the castle in a Sunday afternoon and it was almost empty. If you visit Gyula, don't miss this place.

Great exhibition! We had a guide. Interesting stories. Teenagers enjoyed the guided tour. Magic mirror!
Eszter K — Google review
Wonderful, a place full of history. They preserved some parts from the original castle. The museum is very well done, organised and I like a lot the exhibition. You can buy a ticket to visit the temporary exhibition which unfortunately it is only in Hungarian, you can buy a ticket for the permanent exhibition which is amazing, everything is also translated in English, so that's great and you can also pay to go on the roof top of the castle to enjoy the wonderful view. Totally worth it! Enjoy!
Raluca P — Google review
The castle itself is beautiful inside and outside, great interactive exhibitions on a huge site, a very good value to money! The temporary Sissi exhibition however was small and less outstanding. It was also interactive though and they shared a lot of information about Sissi, but there weren't many of her clothes or furniture from her castle in Gödöllő, where I believe the original Sissi exhibition is. I have found the temporary exhibition a bit pricey, comparing it to the whole castles entry fee which is only 50% higher, but there are a lot more to see and do. The castle also has a brilliant gift shop, selling all sorts of things from fridge magnets to books and even umbrellas about the castle or the towns other sights and about the temporary exhibition. The on site coffee shop serves nice coffee in various tastes and delicious cakes. The terrace of the coffee is dog friendly and you can also smoke at the outside tables.
Emese S — Google review
The renewed building is very impressive, the staff and exhibitions are real professionals. The interactive parts of the exhibitions make it real joyful and fun to the entire family; go with your kids and all of you will enjoy the story and also the history. 😊🏰🗡⚔️🛡🙏🏼👽
Peter ( — Google review
This castle exceeded my expectations! It was traditional, full of history but very modern (with the newest interior decor trends) at the same time. If you visit this place, you can learn a lot about the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries’ lifestyle and how people lived, worked and behaved, what the etiquette was how the children learnt, what fashion trends were impressive at that time. It can take 2-3 hours to see everything and I am not kidding!
Lilla K — Google review
Very nicely renovated, displaying a lot of artifacts that take you back in time. New technology implemented to help visitors experience past times. Visited also a Herendi porcelan exhibition in one section of the castle, it was quite impresive. Highly recommend to visit.
Alex P — Google review
The castle itself is really nice with interactive pieces being present for the visitors. However, I was very sad when I saw a real pen with ink asking me to write my letter, yet we didn't receive any paper to write on. I still recommend visiting the museum, but be aware, that you should spend at least 2 hours just to walk through and take a look at things.

Probably one of the most average Malls I,ce ever been to, the bathrooms are not clean enough and so isn’t the Shopping Center as a whole. A few interesting stores and restaurants, but overall everything is small and lacking.
Son L — Google review
This shopping center is kinda average. It could've been better and it needs improvement. Most of the toilets are unhygienic. The mall isn't organised very well. The shops are tiny and a bit poor. Work needs to be done to improve things. Overall, I'll give it 3/5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mario-Liviu G — Google review
Nice design, you can find everything you need on a trip
Hunor S — Google review
I've went to only a few shop's most of it was clothing search. In some stores staff is not interested in helping you on the other hand in others... the staff members we're too pushy but not professionaly trained. If i search for one clothing brand and i want a t-shirt of that brand that doesn't mean that you have to offer me everything from that brand (shoes, bags, hoodies) and force me to buy it. If someone doesn't need something don't get mad if they refuse to buy what they DON'T NEED. Dont force people. There were some older staff members i didn't know they work there I thought they were just buyer's... It was confusing when older granny in a black and white dotted dress asked me what kinda skate shoes I like? 😅 I was like: wait... you work here?

Really nice museum. Not big, but enough to see historical pieces. The mammoth, from outside is free to visit but worth visiting also inside, where there is a tax. Not expensive at all. You will find some rooms with the original mammoth, guns, tools, old pictures, old stuff. The museum is right in the center, so worth visiting, I recommend. Do not recommend buying tickets online, not a big wait.
Arpad R — Google review
Very nice stuff! There’s a lot to see and learn from a different eras and cultures. And the ticket is very cheap!
Ivana F — Google review
The museum’s captivating displays, particularly the one dedicated to the town’s history, were truly remarkable. The highlight was the movie featuring the fascinating discovery of the Kika mammoth, with 90% of her preserved, back in 1996. It was awe-inspiring to see her in person. What made our visit even more special was our guide, Milos. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of history were unparalleled. Milos took us on a journey through time, explaining the rich history of the area in a way that left us truly amazed. We’ve never encountered someone so passionate about history. I wholeheartedly recommend this museum to anyone interested in delving into the past and understanding the heritage of Kikinda. Don’t miss the opportunity to have Milos as your guide; he’ll make your visit an unforgettable educational experience.

A nice walk in nature and the setany is nice,a small workout on climbing some steps :) quiet and relaxing. The entry is exactly where the first parking sign is situated.
Kinga M — Google review
Nice place for a walk up high above the forest. Main attraction - a super tall tower, with a slide from the top.
Florin T — Google review
Had a good time here with the kids, even climbed the lookout tower, which can be a challenge if you have a fear of heights and don't like seeing through the steps you are walking on. We didn't get to try the slide, that was definitely looking too much to handle for our nimble minds. Kudos to the girl from staff on the top, we had a lovely chat.
Adam G — Google review
Nice place, quiet and picturesque! There is a free parking, but the ticket to enter the structure is approximately €4.
Zlatka S — Google review
Too expensive for what you got. The place is nice but the view is limited, and the stroll is too short.
Admin Y — Google review
The walk is extremely short. You can do it in 5 minutes. People at the tickets are nice and polite and they even have a slide if you want to slide down instead of walking down, but the entire experience is just underwhelming. You could take a 5 minute walk from here to a nearby park and maybe enjoy being outside a bit longer. Just don't get your hopes up too high.
Roland S — Google review
Kinda expensive for what it actually offers, not the internet you will find some nice photos of the places, but thay are far from really, the slide was closed, and we finished the trail in 2 minutes tops, the iron is rusty and the wood is very old. Not really worth it
LolaOutLoud — Google review
We arrived there at 5:45 and it was closed. Like us, there were another 5-6 people that wanted to get it. Such shame you don’t respect your schedule and by this, the tourists that want to visit. Better close the place than waste people’s time.

Absolutely loved it. There weren't that many people on a Saturday and it was very relaxing. The sauna is definitely worth getting, it's only 5 euros more and you get access to a quite place, with no kids and you're able to relax. The other slides were decent, nothing that special but they also have a lot of food options, pizza, gyros, icecream, hotdog, the drinks were the ice coffee was the best. There's also alcohol, but i wouldn't recommend it. You apparently can also bring food from outside because they don't control the bags, which is another plus but i definitely recommend getting something from there because it's very good and cheap. I actually think that the food is cheaper there than if youd come with your own. 10/10 experience, the best waterpark I've ever been to. Chill
HugocomroSe — Google review
Very nice spa. Friendly employees willing to answer all your requests. Something for everyone: children can enjoy the slides, athletes can swim in the Olympic swimming pool, and whoever likes or needs it, there are also thermal pools. for each recommendation. We will definitely come again.
Irina Đ — Google review
There are quite a lot of pools indoor/outdoor also, water is clean. There are a few food corts outside, and canteen inside. Prices are decent. Also if you come in the morning on weekend, be prepared for an at least 30 minutes of que. I think the biggest downside is the fact that once you enter, you cannot come out anymore without purchasing a new entry ticket, even though you receive a bracelet at the entry. Also there are way too few sunbeads available to rent. If you want to be sure that you can find an empty bed, you should be at the reception 30 minutes before opening to be at the front of the que on weekends. 10 minutes after opening, you have no chance to catch a bed.
Gergely B — Google review
The spa is excellent. We go often, as we are very close to Mako. We have been during various seasons and I can say that I have no complaints. Even when the season is summer, the spa is not overbooked.

Very nice thermal water park SPA location. One of the cleanest location from the Central Eastern Europe. Is visible that they frecqvently maintain the space. There was no spot of mold inside or outside of the pools. The architecture is also appreciated. The food could be improved because the Hungarian cousins is exceptional and they could go more in that direction that the fast food but is acceptable, nothing to say bad. The staff is nice. Even they don't speak all English, they are helpful and ready to support you in any question. I like it and I will definitely return.

Most of the pools are closed and absolutely no child friendly pool. The reception staff did not warn us about all kids being closed and was extremely rude when asked for a refund 30 mins after checking in. We met other elderly people who had travelled all the way from Budapest for the thermal spa only to find most of them closed.

The location is very big and quite. This location has so many pools: inside pools with hot water, outside pool with hot water, kids pool, normal pool for everybody and big outdoor swimming pool. We ate in one of the restaursnts and was amazing. Was buffet type and the food was so good. The staff from the information is extremely poor prepared. Only one giirl talking english language also but the another one is talking only magyar langauge and biiig fake smile. Even if the location has signs in 3 different languages: Magyar English Romanian

Biztos vagyok benne, hogy a többi termékkel is elégedett leszek! Remélem lesz még alkalmam vissza menni! Köszönjük, hogy fogadtak minket! :)

Water & Amusement Parks
Sunshine Aquapolis Szeged is an energetic waterpark that boasts both indoor and outdoor waterslides, as well as swimming pools and a sauna. It's the perfect place to spend your weekend with family and friends. To save money, it's recommended to purchase full-day tickets which grant access from 8am to 8pm. The thermal bath area is particularly beneficial for overall body health and stress relief.
A must here in Szeged. If you love water and sun, you need to visit. I bought the full day ticket. Bought an extra Spa massage. All the pools, interior and exterior have warm water so, no worries about the atmospheric temperature being cold. Well, today, 3th of May 2025 the air temperature was 30°C. Great for families, couples, lovers...even for a lonely soul like me. Highly recommended.
Paulo L — Google review
If you’re into waterslides, you should definitely visit! Maybe a bit pricier than nearby spa centers at Mako and Moraholom which are a bit better value for money.
Dule V — Google review
The water park is open all year round and offers water entertainment for both children and adults. Hot water pools, slides, treatment pools, jacuzzi pools, etc.
Calin H — Google review
The place is pretty fun, has lots of different pools, even with warmer water for younger kids or colder water for “older kids”. There are places for food and drinks on the inside but you are also allowed with your own food and drinks. You can even buy water toys and floaters. There is covered, paid parking under the water park. There are plenty of slides and a lazy river that becomes pretty fast at times. There are different places that you can lay down on, inside and outside. I can’t give it a 5 star because our aqua park in Timișoara looks much better, this one feeling pretty old.
Aioanei T — Google review
The Aquapark is just big enough for a family of 4 to spend 1 day. We had moved into 7 different pools from which 2 were outside ( one was baby/kids only). There are heated water pools that have more than 32 degrees and there are 2 hot pools that I guess are over 40 or 45 and these 2 had yellowish water so I presume have some minerals into it also (did not spend more than 15 seconds there as the kids were not interested in this). To eat there is quick food place near the outside pools where they serve chicken nuggets, hamburger, pasta and bevareges. It is visible that this place is not new and there several items that show the passage of time or the big number of usages (some restbeds were recoloured and showed multiple usage torns). Because of the several things on cleanliness I gave it 4 stars, in the bathrooms the ceiling was looking damp and broken and with black spots. From the slides part I could say they are pretty awesome. Two of them you go with the lift and they are quite long with many turns. Three are at 2nd level and other 3 are at first level. If you want to take kids to a pool and slides for 1-2 days this place is good and very affordable.
Daniel G — Google review
I honestly expected more for that price. You enter, and then you have to pay for the sunbeds, and the parking, and the towels for the sauna. I liked the fact that it wasn't crowded at all, especially in the SPA area that belongs to the hotel. Loved the saunas, and the jacuzzi.
Ramona N — Google review
The slides are diverse enough, but quite outdated. They charge you for parking (2 eur/hour) and prices for beverages are quite high. All in all, I think there is better value for money in other hungarian waterparks. But still, a good place to chill and have fun with kids.
Iulian H — Google review
Really excellent day out. Not crowded at all on a weekday in August, many slides of various adrenaline levels, lazy river, “cave,” lots of interesting structures to swim through and around. No deep water other than under one particular slide, and that area is only reached via the slide itself (there’s another small slide going down from the landing area, so there’s no way for a child to suddenly find themselves in water over their head.) You get a digital “watch” at the entrance which grants access to various areas and also unlocks your locker (no coins required). “Safe deposit” boxes are also available for rental behind the desk if you want more security for your phone/passports. Multiple pools at different temperatures; huge indoor and outdoor spaces. Lots of available places to sit or lie down. We mostly stayed inside because of the blazing sun—there was more than enough to keep my kids busy without needing to bother every two hours with sunscreen. You’re supposed to wear flip flops whenever outside the pool but we didn’t have them and no one said anything. Well worth a trip to Szeged.

Sights & Landmarks
The Votive Church of Szeged is a lavishly decorated Catholic Cathedral that was built in response to the devastation caused by a flood in 1879. It stands as one of Szeged's architectural gems, boasting an iconic design and rich historical significance. The church, with its twin spires and marvelous interior, is situated on a plaza reminiscent of St Mark's Square in Venice.
This is one of the best place you can visit in Szeged . It doesn’t require to purchase the ticket and you can visit it also during the weekend. Its started in 1913 but is not completed during to World war 1 , then is completed on 1930 which is make it one of the oldest church. Its so beautiful and you have to visit it .
Babak G — Google review
Beautiful cathedral outside and inside. Construction began in 1913, but due to the outbreak of the First World War, it was not completed until 1930. It is the fourth-largest church in Hungary. It contains one of the largest organs in Europe with 9740 pipes and 134 ranks. It is possible to buy a ticket and visit the top of the tower with great view to the town. To the top, you need to pass trough five large bells. On full hour is a very loud up there, in room with bells. Recommend to visit the tower. Be prepared for a few hundreds stairs. Same ticket cover visiting underground of the cathedral with a lot of museum and art pieces. Ticket is about 6 EUR per person.

The Votive Church of Szeged although beautiful would be even more beautiful if the Bible was taught here and if the Gospel and The Word of God was taught and followed within and around it's walls. Do not follow the churches of man, instead Follow The Lord Jesus Christ The Son of God. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Also read Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

I stopped by the Votive Church around noon, and even without going inside, it was seriously impressive. The twin towers and red-brick façade looked amazing in the sunlight, and the whole square around it felt peaceful and open. I just sat on a bench for a while and soaked in the view—it’s the kind of place that makes you pause. Hoping to go inside next time, but even from the outside, it’s one of Szeged’s most beautiful landmarks.

The Szeged Synagogue, built in 1902 by Marcell Komor and Deszo Jakab, is a remarkable example of the Hungarian Secession style. This art nouveau building features intricate decorations such as tulips and peacock feathers, stained-glass windows from Miksa Roth's studio, and Zsolnay ceramic roof tiles. It was restored to its former glory in 2018. The synagogue is renowned for being the second largest in Hungary and fourth largest in the world.
As Australians visiting family in Szeged we enjoyed our visit to the New Synagogue. It's a stunning building with a breathtaking interior. The domes ceiling, stained glass and organ are truly impressive. The memorial board in the foyer is also a poignant tribute to the 4000 residents of Szeged who were interred in concentration camps during the war.

very impressive building from outside. unfortunately not open when i passed bye. Probably need to come back and take time to enter
Ingo W — Google review
A must have! I've never seen such colorful style used in a place of worship. Beautiful. Absolutely stunning. You can see some defects because of the time, but overall the whole building is clean and taken care of. The stuff told me to leave my backpack (that was huge) next to the ticket office, so they could watch it. Very kind of them. Barely anyone was there with me so I could cherish it in peace. You must go there.

Also called the Great Synagogue, it is the second largest in Hungary, after the one in Budapest, on Dohany Street, and the fourth largest in the world. The edifice was designed by Lipót Baumhorn, its construction, completed in 1902, is the best example of the combination of Art Nouveau and historicist styles, from the end of the 20th century, known as the Sezession Style. The interior is inspired by several styles, Art Nouveau and Moorish Renaissance. The wall above the organ has neo-Gothic origins, while the columns supporting the galleries are Romanesque. The painted stained glass windows, made in the workshop of Manó Roth, and the symbolic glass dome are unique ornaments. The interior is dominated by the charming harmony of ivory, gold and blue ornaments. with precious stones, as well as the murals depicting plants from the Bible, all deserve attention. On the triumphal arch of the New Synagogue, the biblical commandment "Love your neighbor as yourself" can be read, in Hebrew and Hungarian. Schedule: Tuesday-Friday and Sunday: 10:00-16:00 Monday and Sunday: closed

Beautiful exterior and interior of synagogue. The Szeged Synagogue is the second largest in Hungary after the Dohány Street Synagogue in Budapest, and the fourth largest in the world. Tickets to see interior are 2500 HUF or about 6 EUR per person.
Palantir S — Google review
If you’ve never seen other synagogues it’s worth visiting. The price isn’t very high and you can turn on the lights on the inside if you have some forint coins. If you regularly go to the synagogue and you’ve been to multiple, you might not be that impressed, but I would still recommend visiting it one time. It’s got a beautiful ceiling and really carefully painted walls. The stained glass on the windows are really impressive, I love to see so much color and the high craftsmanship that was involved in creating them. It does have a beautiful organ (which I would love to hear, but I’m not sure if it works) and the whole wall of the Aron haKodesh is marvelous in the way it was crafted. It’s really nice that there are panels talking about the Jewish holidays, although they are only in Hungarian, which I don’t understand. English and/or Hebrew would be nice. The guy at the front entrance was pretty bored, at least they had kippas to borrow for free, because I had forgotten mine at home.
Aioanei T — Google review
What a grandiose architectural achievement! It alone is well worth the visit to the small city of Szeged. The dome is amazing as well as stained glass windows. Pictures simply don’t do it justice. Look around for ornaments and pictures of flora and fauna from Biblical times. Climb on the gallery and admire the organ, and view from above. Amazing is an understatement!
Katie N — Google review
Impossible not to be impressed by this building, especially as it is surrounded by residential properties in a quiet area. It's just magnificent and extraordinarily well kept. It is gated, so you can't really get close to it, but it is so big that you wouldn't really need it anyway. The are some panels about the synagogue's history, written in Hungarian and English. The Gothic details give it a fairytale look. I didn't quite understand how to enter: even if it was supposed to be open, I found it closed.

Szeged Zoo is an excellent destination for a day or half-day city break, easily accessible with well-maintained facilities that guarantee safety for all ages.
Must visit place, the biggest zoo in Hungary, paradise for animals, there is so many of them. You need a good 4 hours to see all. It is divided into continents and animals are positioned accordingly. The most important, excellent environment for all beings and few rare animals to see.

One of the best Zoo to see near Romania and from Hungary. Very many species and a huge place. The main attraction in my opinion is the RED PANDA. Also, there are rhinos and very big elephants. Overall, the zoo is a five star, definetly worth visiting if you have 3 hours free.

One of the best Zoo's from Eastern Europe. The zoo is very nicely arranged and the animals look very good and healthy. Congratulations to the keepers and we will definitely come back! There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the zoo!
Victor P — Google review
The first steps towards the establishment of the Szeged Zoo began in the 1980s, and on December 5, 1985, the Szeged City Council adopted a resolution establishing the institution as part of the Amusement Park. At that time, the animal collection consisted of only 3 monkeys, a few deer, wild boars and a giant snake. Since January 1, 1989, the National Wildlife Park has become an independent institution, and later, on May 28, it opened its doors with an exhibition of about 4 hectares. It is the youngest traditional zoo in Hungary owned by a municipality and the National Wildlife Park with the largest area of all zoos in Hungary, almost 45 hectares.

The zoo is very large, with nice and tidy animal enclosures that offer a lot of space for the animals to live comfortably. It is worth spending the money and visiting with friends and family. It's a good place to relax and spend holidays with family and friends. You have a lot of restaurants options where you can eat and drink plenty and with a good variety of food. Enough places to rent nearby or even if it's only for a short period of time you'll feel comfortable here. It have picnic areas with a wide range where you can lay down or even camp on the surrounding of the beach and is only 2 or 3 minutes by walking. You won't regret it.
