Was a somber experience being in a place of death and torture, especially for my family members who endured this egregiously harsh and inhumane reality during WWII. We were never told to purchase tickets in advance so the museum was booked solid when we drove 3.5 hours from Warsaw to visit. The new Israeli owners, as crazy as it seems, have made it more difficult to gain entry with a walk in. We are able to observe the outskirts which was just as surreal and contained some valuable informative sights to see.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming. We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters. A must see for anyone to remind us of what happened and try to ensure it can never happen again.

A huge museum, which is being restored to this day and is still being preserved. Book the tour in advance because you can get alone and for free only after 15:00. We got a very nice girl guide, it was very interesting and pleasant to listen to. We visited both camps, the total tour took about 4 hours. This place is very atmospheric, creepy. It is obligatory for everyone to visit, you need to know and not forget the history so that there are no more such things.

Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world ! Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate. I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive. Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan. Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see. My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop. The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.

This is a very sad experience. But I do recommend everyone to visit once in a lifetime. I learnt about it in a history lesson, but seeing it for real was just something else. The scale of it is just mad. There was 2 camps, second camp had more than 300 buildings. They were killing almost 5k people a day, in a gas chamber they fit 700 people at a time 😮 Its just crazy to see all the shoes of people who died there. And crazy to see the gas chamber. We all need to see the scale of it and learn from it so the history wont repeat itself... In the second camp, last building we entered was the barrack of ill women, it was called the death barrack, all of them were ill or unable to work, they were getting no food or water and if the barrack was full they were made to stay outside in a yard and wait to be taken to the gas chamber. Most of them died there in a barrack. It's so cruel. The free car park not in use. All car parks around is approx 30zloty. There is massive queue to get it, takes forever due to amount of people visiting. To get in need to go thru security like in the airport. Then there is audio tour. Our guide was not great, was hard to hear her as she didnt hold microphone properly. Was way too many people and very long backlog so we skipped quite few barracks. Once we got to second camp by bus our tour guide didnt wait for everyone so we got lost. Not very well organised tbh. After 1pm most days can visit camps without tour guides and it is free. This place would give chills to everyone.

Powerful to say the least! This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Moving does not do this place justice, understanding what the Jews, gypsies and other minorities went through during the Second World War, you can watch as many documentaries as you like but actually walking in their footsteps really does bring it home…..Unforgettable

One of the must see place if you are nearby. A piece of the most terrible european history, which shouldn't be forgotten. Very impressive. Get your ticket in advance on the web, as you can get guider in your language.

Very cool castle. Unfortunately it was super foggy the day we visited, so we couldn’t enjoy the view, but it gave a nice mysterious vibe to the castle. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside as well. Nothing too special if you’ve visited other big castles in Europe, but I’d say it’s worth it of you have a couple of hours to spend

Perched on a hill overlooking the Danube, this white fortress offers the best panoramic views in the city. The museum inside is skippable unless you’re into Slovak political history - the real attraction is the gardens and views from the terrace. Sunset here is spectacular. Tip: Visit in the late afternoon and walk down via the old stone steps into the Old Town for dinner.

Definitely worth a visit. A real castle on the hill. You can walk to it from the city centre, taking around 20-30 minutes but it’s an uphill route. Although inside the castle, there’s not much to see, I still really like the view from the tower. You can also visit the castle from the outside in the evening as well.

It's a must do on your visit to the old town in Bratislava. The views are great. I suggest walking up to the castle first before going down to the town. Lovely manicured gardens.

The castle has great outsides and looks that has been maintained very well. Great to go walking or just outside coffee. The inside exhibitions at least from mi pov are very minimalistic. For the same price you can get to great exhibitions in other countries, at some point there were paintings but no info on it, I did Google lens to understand.

I visited St. Stephen's Cathedral from the outside, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The architecture of the cathedral is impressive, and the streets and squares nearby are full of charm, cafes, and shops. It’s a perfect spot for sightseeing and taking photos. I really enjoyed walking around and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the area .

This cathedral is absolutely stunning. The architecture, both inside and out, is breathtaking. Right beside it, an early Christmas market was happening with adorable stalls. The interior is a true work of art. At night, it transformed into what looked like a massive haunted castle, haha!

The cathedral is a magnificent piece of architecture and a sight to behold. My strong personal critique, however, is the commercialization of the space. Requiring payment for entry into the main sections creates a barrier that I feel is fundamentally opposed to Christian teachings. A church should be a place where anyone, regardless of their financial means, can enter to pray and connect with God.

I have to say that I was really excited to visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I had seen it in pictures, on Instagram, everywhere, and seeing it in person was such a beautiful, emotional moment. The cathedral is stunning from the inside out. We bought our tickets the same day; you cannot buy tickets online, so you need to go directly to the ticket area. If you want to go to the top of the cathedral, there are two options: • South Tower – You must climb around 300 steps. It’s very high and can be exhausting. • North Tower – This is the one we chose. It actually has a better view, including a 360° view, and you can take the elevator, which is definitely nicer. We also visited the dungeons, and that was fascinating. You see cadavers that have been there since the 1500s (or around that time). They give you a guided tour that explains how people were buried and the history of the underground cemetery. It’s very interesting, I won’t spoil too much, but I definitely recommend it. We didn’t do the full church tour because when we arrived, they were having Mass, and we didn’t want to wait. Plus, after going up the tower in the cold, we were already a bit tired. So just be prepared, going to the top can be draining, especially if you’re an introvert. We’re both introverts, and we were completely drained afterwards. But honestly, the cathedral itself is breathtaking. It’s hard to believe something so massive and detailed was built so long ago. I really can’t even explain how incredible it is, you just have to see it for yourself. One thing I liked is that everything is done on the same day, and you don’t have to worry about online bookings. You can explore one part of the cathedral and come back another day to do the rest, if you want. We didn’t, but it’s an option. We bought two tickets: • one for the underground cemetery tour • one for the North Tower (highly recommend this one!) I also recommend doing the official church tour because it gives you the full history, when it was built, who built it, and all the important details. I kind of regret not doing that. Overall, I highly recommend visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I don’t have many pictures because I really wanted to take everything in with my own eyes and enjoy the moment. If you go, do the same,or have someone else take photos for you,because the experience goes by too fast. And you don’t want to miss it by staring at your phone.

This area is good to explore. It hosts Stephenskriche-church and this church is beautiful. You can get into the church & lit candles & pray. This is one of the most visited place in Vienna, so in summer, this will be crowded with tourists. You can explore this area as you like it- do shopping, eat good, or just explore cultural capital. You can also buy Gustav Klimt’s paintings, Austrian silver jewellery, Austrian liquor and sweets. I love to stroll around this place in mornings when crowd is less. This is easily accessible through metro, and is very safe.

The heart of Vienna. There's a buzz around with both locals and tourists. With the Christmas stalls and lights there was a truly festive feel to the square. And so safe.

The Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral) that sits at the center of this busy square was packed with tourists on a weekday afternoon. However, it's an impressive Gothic cathedral and worth the visit. You don't need to spend more than 1/2 hour here. For me, that was plenty. Don't miss some of the interesting exterior motifs of skulls and crossbones; I don't know why those are there, but it's a good question to ask your tour guide, if you happened to splurge for one.

It's a small Christmas market right in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral. The sausages I ate there were topped with extras, so they were tastier than those I've had elsewhere. And there are always a lot of people.

We had a wonderful day exploring Schönbrunn Palace and its beautiful gardens! The place is enormous, so expect to spend almost the entire day walking around, discovering its stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and rich history. There are plenty of benches outside where you can rest, have a picnic, or simply people-watch. The gardens are incredibly lovely and very well-maintained, and the entire area is so organized that you’ll enjoy exploring no matter which part you visit. There’s also a children’s museum, zoo, mazes, cafés, restaurants, and more! We especially enjoyed the short hike up to the Gloriette for a breathtaking view of the palace grounds. A definite must-see when in Vienna!

I was only outside as I was interested in thr Christmas market . There were alcohol free options and vegan as well. Market entry was Free, however, the special light garden git an try fee of 24 Euros , 99 percent wheelchair accessible. There was one feature where to see fully you had to go upstairs, otherwise everywhere you could roll.

It was my first visit to Schönbrunn Palace in 47 years, and its magnificent scenery was as wonderful as ever as a symbol of the Habsburg dynasty. The lavish decorations inside the palace and the splendor of the gardens are as magnificent as ever, demonstrating the majesty of a World Heritage Site that is worth revisiting. Walking around the vast gardens, I was reminded of its grandeur and splendor. The splendid decorations and paintings inside the palace are also worth seeing.

You need to explore all the places so a classic plus ticket is recommended for 75 euros, this will cover all the gardens, zoo, terrace, and the palace. This will be a long trip and you need to rest between them so I'd recommend to start your trip at 10 a.m. to finish it at 5 p.m. I strongly recommend to buy your tickets online becuase there was a very long line. We never to a chance to visit the Abbey from the inside, however just stopping by and looking at it from the outside is amazing. The size of the Abbey will really surprise you. You can get a good view from the outside with space to quickly park and take some few pics. Definitely worth looking.

Veru nice place. Use parking on top, it’s payed, but close to entrance (4€ for 2,5 hours). Church is really nice and good looking. Nice views spot. Best for me was garden. Not that huge but so many places to see, perfect experience. Enjoy your time here.

Give yourself at least 2–3 hours to explore everything at a relaxed pace. If you have more time, stroll the narrow old town streets and enjoy street foods and coffee. With all combined, this destination makes a perfect day trip solution from Vienna

Beautiful abbey, library and interesting exposition. But, to my taste, library was the most spectacular of them all. Definitely worse the detour for couple of hours - we visited it on our way from Salzburg to Vienna. There is a parking right at the abbey, so if your gps , like ours will be a bit confused - just continue to the main entrance of the abbey. Melk itself is a nice little town with a picturesque surroundings and little centre with narrow streets. Driving I’d not rate as a pleasure, but bearable 😊

A very impressive place to visit. The monastery stands out for its scale and beautiful views over the Danube. The library was the highlight for me — a unique atmosphere, ancient books, and stunning frescoes. The church also leaves a strong impression, with its grandeur and attention to detail. The terrace offers a great view — it’s nice to just pause for a moment and take it all in. Everything is well-organized: parking, clear signs, a cafe and a shop. It’s best to visit when there are fewer people — the place feels completely different then.

if you happen to be in Slovenia, you shouldn’t miss out on Bled lake! stunning views wherever you go! you can take a swim in the lake, there are also boats services! There are resting points with restaurants and ice cream shops.

Bled is a must visit if you are in Slovenia. We came around end of September, got caught in the rain for the first night but the second day was perfect with sunny weather. Not too crowded during our visit. We love it

It’s our first time in Slovenia so we had to see iconic Lake Bled. We spent 4 hours walking around the lake and taking our time to enjoy the place. It’s beautiful as in a fairytale and there’s plenty to do, toboggan, kayak, SUP, take a pletna boat to the island, just walk around, have a picnic. It’s perfect. There’s definitely tourists around, like ourselves but it wasn’t overcrowded on the day we went in late September. We parked at Straza Bled, found the price most reasonable amongst other carparks for the distance to Lake Bled. 3€ for first 2 hours and 3€ for every next hour. It’s also right next to the fun toboggan.

The island of Maria on Lake Bled feels both real and timeless. I stumbled upon this as the weather shifted, the sun breaking through while a gentle rain fell, creating a moment that felt almost otherworldly.

One of the best lakes in Europe to relax and enjoy. The church is located in the middle of the lake. We can visit the church via rowing boat. Unfortunately we don't have enough time to visit the church and castle. Overall the lake is worth seeing.

Great central location, great service. The staff were very responsive to help us with any issues. The room is compact and comfortable. The kitchen is a bit of a tight squeeze but is well equipped.

Great location and great price. Everything you'd need. The bedroom is separate to the main room and it has a kitchenette, it is centrally located too with a large choice of bars and restaurants close by. Even though they are close we never had any noise problems. I don't think I would go back to Ljubljana again as I think I have experienced everything it has to offer but if I did go back I would stay here again.

U will not find a better location for a city tour. Great starting place for exploring the city, especially old town. Yet, noise levels at night are very low. No problem getting sleep here. We had Appartment 2 - it had everything we hoped for.

Postojna Cave Ticket Store – A Smooth Start to an Incredible Journey Purchasing tickets at Postojna Cave was a seamless and pleasant experience that set the tone for the adventure ahead. The ticket store is located right next to the main entrance, easy to find, and well-organized. Even with a steady flow of visitors, everything moved efficiently thanks to clear signage and helpful staff. Although online booking is also available and highly recommended during busy periods. The staff were welcoming, spoke excellent English, and explained the different ticket options, including combo packages that cover additional sights like Predjama Castle. What I appreciated most was the detailed information provided at the ticket counter — they explain the tour timings, meeting points, and even suggest how to plan extra activities if you have more time in the area. It made organizing our visit stress-free. The standard cave ticket includes an exciting electric train ride and a guided walking tour. While the live guides are very knowledgeable, the audio guide available in multiple languages is also an excellent option. I found the audio guide particularly helpful for getting deeper insights without feeling rushed, and it allows you to enjoy the magical surroundings at your own pace. Overall, the Postojna Cave ticketing experience was extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. It’s clear they care about making every visitor’s experience smooth from the very beginning — an excellent introduction to one of Slovenia’s greatest natural wonders.

Caves are stunning as well as Predjamski castle. Shuttle bus to the castle start at 10am although castle is open from 9am. Timetable isn't on the web site.

The square looks impressive, the buildings around it architectural masterpieces. However, I didn't get a sense of the scale and spaciousness of the square. My wife and I visited the square on the closing day of the annual regatta (Barcolana). The entire space was filled with decorations, advertising banners, and prefabricated stalls selling food and beer. It was very noisy, crowded everywhere, but fun.

A beautiful place!! A huge plus is that there weren't masses of tourists so the square was really clear. The view is immersive!! 🤩 All the buildings look amazing. 🌟

What surprised me was that most grocery stores close as early as 9:00 PM.

It is a big flat old stone dock. Great to walk once or twice, be aware that there is no shade in the 37c sun and little room to sit. It was enjoyable to see the Adriatic sea and look at any big ships docked but nothing else.

A beautiful big square facing the Adriatic Sea with 3 impressive palace buildings and a fountain. This is the seat of the local government for the city and the region. The square is used for concerts and parades and large civic events. Many famous music artists have played here including Green Day, Duran Duran, Carlos Santana, Iron Maiden, Garbage, Mike and Snoop Dogg

Trieste’s Unity of Italy Square is one of the most beautiful squares in Europe — a grand open space facing the Adriatic Sea. The view is breathtaking, especially at sunset. It’s home to some elegant cafés, including a very famous one, though the prices match the view :)

Gorgeous arena. A must see when in Pula. Beautiful weather helped to get some beautiful shots. More than 2000 years old and one of six biggest amphitheatres still standing.. breathtakingly stunning.

We visited Pula Arena and oh my God, it was incredible. It’s absolutely worth paying to go inside. Once you’re in, you can walk around everywhere and really feel like you’ve stepped back into ancient Roman times. The Arena is in very good condition - well preserved and majestic. It’s a gorgeous spot for photos, history lessons, or just soaking up atmosphere. What impressed me most is how immersive it feels - you can almost imagine the crowds, the spectacles, the echoes of the past. Also, I discovered that the Arena is sometimes used for theatre and opera performances, which must be fantastic in such a setting. The Pula Arena (also called the Pula Amphitheatre) was built between 27 BC and AD 68 and is one of the world’s six largest surviving Roman arenas. It’s especially remarkable because it’s the only Roman amphitheatre with all four side towers fully preserved.

Pula is a small town, so seeing such a grandiose structure from the era of the great Roman Empire here is both unexpected and impressive. There are far fewer visitors than at the Roman Colosseum, so everyone has the unique opportunity to find a secluded spot, stand, and reflect on eternity, on how times, customs, and games have changed over the centuries. Don't miss the small but fascinating museum located in the arena's underground chambers—it's dedicated primarily to olive oil production in Istria.

What a site to see! Amazing roman arena built between 27–68 AD. Sixth largest in the world. There is a fee to enter and you are free to walk around once inside. There are QR codes that provide a self guided tour using your phone. Bring ear buds or headphones for the audio. This is one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world. This is a must see.

This was a really amazing experience. So incredible to be inside such a huge part of history. The price is very affordable. This was our favorite thing that we did in Pula. I would highly recommend stopping by even if just for this experience!

It was easy to purchase tickets. We were able to just stroll around and look at the view of the amphitheatre. The souvenir shop also had lots of unique items that I haven’t seen at other places. Overall, it was a lovely experience for a Sunday afternoon.

The 8th largest Arena of the roman empire, the arena of Pula was only ever and exclusively used for gladiatorial fights and could not be flooded like its larger cousin in Rome. Sea fights were instead conducted directly in the bay, onlyeters from the arena itself. The outer walls are amazingly well preserved l, though half of the seating had been removed bu the venetians to be used for building material. Below the arena in the catacombs, there is an exhibition about roman life in istria, showing artefacts of a nearby olive oil manufactury. This place is an absolute must visit for history fans!

If you get the chance to go there, don't hesitate. 👏👏👏 Awesome place, no doubt about it! ... Bungee-jumping is a thril! 🤙

Wow. First look was across the square - what a magnificent place. Loved listening to Rick Steeves podcast about the square and outside of the church. So many intricacies and unique bits. Then we were a part of a mass in the side chapel- so lovely. Came back later that day for the whole tour (again with RS!) amazing history, architecture, heaving floor & art! Did the whole deal with Pala d’oro and Loggia and glad I did. So cool to get up close to the horses, the mosaics, the view from up top. I bought tickets the same day but that saved me some waiting time.

The Saint Mark’s Basilica is one of the most beautiful Catholic churches I have ever visited. The basilica blends perfectly with the surrounding Saint Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace, creating a breathtaking historical setting. The main altar is truly a jewel—absolutely astonishing in its detail and craftsmanship. On the second floor, the four Greek horses are remarkable pieces of art and history. I highly recommend visiting this magnificent church with a guided tour to fully appreciate its rich background and hidden details.

St. Mark’s Basilica – Venice We had tickets for the basilica but mixed up the date due to the time difference coming from the U.S.—we were supposed to visit on the 3rd at 3:00 PM, and only realized that day that our reservation was actually for the 4th which is the following day. We arrived very early in the morning of the 4th when it opened. There was an event in the piazza so there was no line at all, and we explained that we had to catch a train later that afternoon. Despite the empty entryway and our situation, we were denied entry and told to return at the exact reservation time. We respect that there are rules and timed tickets exist for crowd control, but it was disappointing that there was zero flexibility, especially when the basilica was not crowded and accommodating two visitors would not have impacted operations. The basilica itself is extraordinary, and MAYBE we’ll try again next time—but travelers should know that the staff take reservation times very strictly, even when the site is relatively quiet.

The Basilica di San Marco is really impressive. It offers incredible details and beautiful art. It is usually sold out for the next 2 days, so I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. On the official website you can buy it with an entry time, so you don’t have to queue outside. Once inside, you can also buy tickets for some additional areas of the Basilica, directly through a QR code that is placed right in front of the area you want to visit. If you wish to get an audio guide, you can rent one once inside, just after the access, but you will need your own earphones (which currently need a mini jack to be connected to the device), if you don’t have it, you can still hear it placing the device on your ear. This is available in several languages and it will be necessary if you want to know what you’re looking at in the Basilica. Depending on how long you want to stay inside, you may be able to see it all in 30-60 minutes, differently from the Palazzo Ducale which takes much longer. Have fun!

This palace is beautiful and full of history and artwork. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time and giving yourself at least two hours to explore. I recommend getting a tour guide to learn more about the history of the palace. The café was also nice and not too expensive. It’s a must see when in Venice.

This place is huge, there is a lot of photos opportunity. They have a impressive selection of fancy rooms. The ceiling is full of art, with golden details. A must-see in Venice! The Doge’s Palace is absolutely breathtaking — filled with history, incredible art, and ornate architecture that captures the essence of Venice’s power and beauty. We visited around 5 PM, and it wasn’t busy at all, which made it even more enjoyable to explore at our own pace. Highly recommend booking tickets in advance to skip any lines and ensure your preferred time. Walking across the Bridge of Sighs and seeing the view from both sides was unforgettable. Truly one of the highlights of our trip!

Book ahead of time and the queue isn't TOTALLY awful. Impressive selection of fancy rooms with big paintings in them. Have fun spotting which doge looks the most like Santa! Surprised the gift shop doesn't do Doge Top Trumps, this would sell (if palazzo ducale are listening). Also top tip: at some point in the tour you get to the prison cells and you have the option to take the short route or the 'complete tour'. The complete tour is just LOTS MORE PRISON CELLS. Only take if you really enjoy empty stone rooms and stairs!

We booked a tour via get your guide (crown tours). The tour guide we had was passionate and her English was really easy to understand. We learnt so much. We chose the balcony tour and that was excellent and not too crowded. Got so much more out of your than I expected. Be warned plan to get there earlier than your time slot, I saw a couple who were late and missed there toyr and as other tours were full could not join the next one.

Oh my gracious what an incredible palace!! 686 years old. Do a tour! We did with skip the line passes. Hearing the history is needed to understand the meaning of so much of this palace. It is ginormous. I could walk around and stare at all the artwork and art, the exhibits, the prisons! Crazy to think prisoners as recently as 1920 were still being held here. The sheer wealth ugh

Beautiful location. Choose the time of year you go as it can become very busy indeed. The streets of Venice are many and varied with many bridges and not a car to be seen. The waterways are busy too, bustling with boats which is entertaining to watch. Easy access by foot straight from the train station. Most definitely worth a visit but go armed with 'maps' on your phone so you don't get lost.

This waterway runs the entire length of the Lagoon of Venice! There is much traffic on the waterway: water buses, water taxis, gondolas and private boats and amazing to see how they navigate it all. I purchased a 3-Day Water Bus pass and it allowed me to enjoy the beautiful views, massive buildings, Rialto Bridge and exquisite architecture of all the other buildings along the waterway.

It was amazinggg, We loved it.We took the gondola and it was a great experience. We paid 90€ in total for three people. The price does not change depending on the number of people. It is the same whether there are five people. The 30 minute gondola ride is priced at 90€.Definitely take a walk around the back streets, this is essential to understand the spirit of Venice. And definitely eat at more local establishments, it's cheaper and more original.

A vaporetto ride is Venice’s greatest souvenir: not bought, but lived.

Cesenatico Is a wonderful Town to visit in Italy. The town is centered around the Canale Leonardesco.

Beautiful spot to visit and reachable by bike. Small restaurants by the channel are very cozy, a bit overpriced due to the location. On the left of the channel there is a nice museum of maritime history and a nice art gallery that makes occasional shows. On the right of the channel is the access to the old village where there is a merry go round and a market in the evenings. Stunning the old boats in the channel.

A cute & cozy place. Kids were fascinated to see all that boats. We recommend La Pizzeria Materiaprima (Pizza al taglio) situate on The boardwalk. The best pizza we ate so far.😋🤤

Great little town with a very picturesque centre running along the river filled with boats. Lovely atmosphere. Good restaurants and "gelateria's"

Came here on a boat trip from Bellaria and what a stunning place it was. All the boats up the river, and the marina restaurants were sending out sounds and smells that stay with you for a long time. There was a little street event going on with wooden table games and everybody was having a great time. I will not forget this place in a hurry!!

"Porto canale Leonardesco" because is a man-made canal designed by the one and only Leonardo da Vinci. It's the heart of Cesenatico, especially in summertime, and it hosts various events during the year (Nativity scenes during Xmas time for example). Around the canal you may find pubs, shops, and restaurants. Very suggested.

Wow. What a stunning place. Cannot recommend it enough. Gorgeous fortress. Beautiful churches throughout. Picturesque with incredible views. And a delicious little gelato place. Wow. We didn’t go inside the fortress - we just wandered around and took in the beauty. Highly recommend the trip.

Long time wanted to visit Urbino and finally managed today. Despite heavy rainfall I felt in love with this unique and immensely charming place. Palazzo Ducale and National Museum of Marche are stunning. I wrote some comments and complains of bareness in most of rooms. But masterpieces on display are more than enough to compensate. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience to visit this gigantic palace. The art works are breathtaking as are the architectural features. Don't miss the absolutely unique inlaid doors, such artistry.

Drove from Ravenna through hills and beautiful road. Structure located over the hills with having a good overview on the area around. Paid parking is provided in the front and back, which back is bigger and more organized. Facility presenting an art belonged to Renaissance. It is big museum with many paintings, curved stones, carpets, statues and dishes in different stories. Not only a palace, but also a protected city on the hills with narrow alleys with so many steps. At least consider 2 to 4 hours to see the palace and the city. If you rely on English communication, Good luck!

Majestic structure, impressive from outside. It's worth a visit, there is an interesting collection of paintings and ceramics inside. More impressive from outside than inside but definitively worth 2 hours visit, while strolling around the beautiful Urbino.

So special to experience these beautiful churches - up and down! We got to enjoy an English mass at 9am on Sunday. Touring with Rick Steeves podcast in our ear was great (also the town walk is so good). Loved the museum in the back. The highlight of course was the crypt, to spend some time in the presence of St Francis. Well- we know his presence is with us in Christ, but so cool to see his tomb. The Giotto frescoes are amazing and the ceilings- wow, that blue- I love it.

Lovely Medieval town - Assisi - famous for St Francis' Basilica, which we visited. Also had a lovely cappuccino but didn't stay for lunch. Escalators available to get you into the higher parts of town from all the car parks so no worries for older and less mobile visitors. A must-see if in Umbria

Today's highlight. You don't want to miss this place when in Assisi. Prepare for a walk uphill and downhill. Travel light but bring some coins or bills for the offering and candles. There's plenty of good restaurants and giftshop in the area. Walking distance to visit the tombs of St. Clare and Saint Carlo Acutis.🙏🙏🙏

What an amazing experience to be able to come on a pilgrimage here. The church is very beautiful and full of meaning. There is a tomb of St. Francis of Assisi under this church. There is also a museum, and a souvenir shop. Don’t forget when you enter, there is a prayer paper that we can take and write, so that later we can bring it to the tomb area of St. Francis, and we give to the brothers here to pray. Then don’t forget after shopping at the souvenir shop, bring it to the blessing section near the exit.

We visited here as part of a tour group, it has amazing art work throughout, its just a shame you can not take photos of your visit. It is a very large complex and will stun you by its size, it gets busy and has some stairways that are narrow.

Another beautiful and amazing church in Italy, the Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi. We can visit the tomb, the mortal remaining of St Francis of Assisi, which was preserved since 1230. Also, this church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. there are two distinct churches: the Upper and Lower Basilicas. Visitors can explore intricate chapels adorned with remarkable artwork while learning about the rich history through audio guides.

A beautiful building with breathtaking murals inside. Photos are not permitted inside but it is well worth visiting. The murals are floor to ceiling and it's also a pleasant place to spend an hour out of the heat just admiring the works. ⛪

So beautiful!! Unfortunately we came a bit late, at 15:30, 30 minutes before the falls are shut down for the day. It’s nice to stroll through the park regardless. But the park was closed entirely by 17:00, so I would advise to plan the visit time better than we did.

It is just beautiful,. We set parking for 1.5h , but we sure did needed more. Got to the first 3 spots there, all the way down. Luckily we packed some snacks and fruits 😋 bc there is a lovely view point right in front of the waterfall.

Absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. There are paths that make it fairly easy to walk up to view the various falls (you will get wet!). The temperature drops ten degrees when you reach the parking lot, which is an incredible treat in summer. Be sure to stay to see the falls turn off at 1pm or back on again at 3. Plenty of parking. The bus terminal is a little tricky to find in Terni. It’s not the main Terni station but is around the corner to the left after you walk out the front entrance of the station. There’s a dedicated shuttle just for the falls, but pay attention to times, or you’ll end up needing a taxi to get back to Terni (speaking from experience!).

Pretty impressive place it is better to come on the schedule and to climb up to see all the place it is like a small iguasu

The tallest artificial watetfall in the world! A beautiful, unconventional place – created by human intervention, yet so natural. It's worth devoting more time to exploring and hiking the entire trail, rather than just admiring the views from the upper terrace.

⛲️ Absolutely gorgeous gardens and fountains that are gravity powered! We spent a good three hours here just roaming and taking everything in. We took so many photos! The light and views are spectacular. Very serene and peaceful place. Tivoli is very beautiful too. Definitely worth the 30min uber drive from Rome. We bought our tickets online a week before.

I visited last weekend 18th Oct and would recommend coming after October 23rd only because there’s no water running through the famous cascades and pools during this period. Even so, the villa and gardens remain impressive for their architecture, perspectives and atmosphere. If possible, plan your visit between 3 and 6:00 pm, the light is softer, perfect for photos and the crowds are noticeably smaller. Despite the absence of water, the site still offers a fascinating glimpse into Renaissance grandeur and is definitely worth seeing at least once.

Beautiful grounds. I would have given 5 stars but the water was shut off for maintenance or perhaps for the season when we went in October . I looked on line the night before visiting to see if it was posted on the website which it was not. You don’t get to capture the full beauty without the fountains. Beauty to see inside ! I would suggest going when fountains are on!

Fantastic villa and gardens - a peaceful oasis. We could only imagine what it must be like when the 200 fountains are functioning! Our misfortune to visit during a 2 week maintenance window... However, still worth wandering the paths, listening to birdsong and enjoying the gardens.

I am not sure how we found the villa as a destination for our Rome trip. Probably social media video somewhere. But boy we are so happy to spend a day here. We did not spent much in the museum part, but just walking up and down the garden, going to every fountain, taking pictures. Absoltely, breathtakingly beautiful. Must see. In late October when we were visiting, the Sun is setting along the main axis of the fountains, shining and orange glow over the park. Makes it difficult to take some photos, but help is many other way.

Make sure to purchase the audio guide from the ticket office. This villa was a wonderful experience. Make sure to give yourself a couple of hours for the gardens alone. I’m not a huge garden person when visiting estates or villas, but this was stunning and we wished we had more time to explore all the paths and fountains.

Extraordinary luxurious place which is well maintained and combed. Definetely worth to visit. Connections from Rome are good and cheap, traveling time around 1 hour.

Had a lovely day today. We were very pleasantly surprised. Good sized park, which was well maintained in most areas. Some slight attention to detail around weeding around some rides would improve this slightly but that is me just being picky. Food prices were ok for a theme park. 5 of us ate for just under €70 which would be very difficult to do in a UK theme park and notably drinks were ok too, €3.50 for a coke zero and €2 for water. The main reason for 4 out of 5 was due to a few rides being out of action. We wanted to go on the rapids and were told they would reopen but unfortunately didn't or if they did we missed it. Also the sky viewing platform ride was also shut.

We visited as two adults and really enjoyed the day. The park is very clean and beautifully maintained. There are a couple of really exciting attractions - especially Shock, which will definitely not leave you indifferent. The water rides are also a lot of fun - particularly Le Rapide, the round raft ride that gives you absolutely no chance of staying dry. 😅 A perfect mix of thrills and fun, highly recommended!

I dont know why i seen so many complaints about this place saying it's expensive or staff are rude i experienced the opposite of that. They where all friendly and happy and compared to theme park prices this place was very very cheap no long waits in the lines longest wait was for the horror stuff beside that everything else was like 3mins wait or less 100% would recommend this especially for a family

I spent the day at MagicLand with friends — we had fun, especially on the roller coasters! The park is nice and clean, but the lines were pretty long and food inside was pricey. Still, it’s a great option for a weekend trip near Rome.

The place itself is great and a lot of fun. It felt safe, and both the restrooms and different areas were clean. However, the pricing is tricky. Online tickets are supposed to be cheaper, but we never received the validation code for registration, so we couldn’t complete the online purchase. We were also charged extra items with the food we ordered, which didn’t feel fair. Additionally, not all staff members spoke English, or not at a sufficient level, which made communication difficult at times.

I had an amazing time at Magic Land! The park is full of fun attractions, and everything is so well-organized. The highlight of my visit was the fantastic show at the theater—absolutely enchanting! The New Year decorations and compositions were stunning and really created a magical holiday atmosphere. This place is perfect for families and anyone looking for unforgettable entertainment. Highly recommend!

One of the most beautiful things and place what I've ever seen in my life . This place is majestic, phenomenal and unforgettable. Statues and size of the "Fontana di Trevi" is breathtaking and unexpectable. Architecture , all Statues have a lot of small details and finally together is one Masterpiece!! Everybody have to see it minimally once per life ! Amazing , amazing, amazing

The Trevi Fountain absolutely exceeded my expectations. Its sheer size and detail are breathtaking, especially with the sound of rushing water echoing around the square. I joined everyone in tossing a coin for luck, it’s impossible not to. Even with the crowds, the atmosphere feels magical and unmistakably Roman.

Yes, it's beautiful, but unfortunately the chaos surrounding this place makes it much less attractive. There's so many people (like almost everywhere), it's impossible to relax and enjoy this beauty. The experience is more like: quick, let's try to make a picture and leave. While in Rome I went there several times and during several periods of the day and it was always packed. I even check the webcams once at 2am and there were still people there!

Absolutely beautiful, and obviously VERY busy hot-spot for tourists! The only thing that ruins it is rude, entitled influencer/ tourists that block the visit/ view for everyone else, selfishly taking photos and selfies for over 20 minutes. However, this doesn't detract from the stunning monument and it's attraction for Rome! You can queue (average 1-1.5 hours) to get closer to the fountain if you have time.

The fountain is really beautiful. We came in the evening on a rainy day, and luckily there were not that many people. They seemed to allow people to get closer to the fountain in the lower floor every now and then. We didn’t wait for it since the view from the ground floor was already good enough.

A dream come true! We went during the day and returned at night to enjoy one of the most magnificent fountains in Rome! Wonderful family experience while touring Itay! This was one of the highlights we were looking forward to and superseded our expectations!

However, its popularity means it is almost always crowded, making it difficult to get close during peak hours. Visitors recommend tossing a coin to ensure a return to Rome, but suggest visiting very early in the morning or late at night to enjoy the fountain's grandeur with fewer people.

Was a great site to see while on tour around the Eternal City. They recently cleaned the facade of the building so the stone is now clean and bright. Its usually very crowded for most of the day unless you come early in the morning. The guides were very nice and gave us a lot of cool information about the history of the Colosseum. Definitely a great place to see at least once while visiting Rome.

We had 8:45 tickets and arrived at 8:15. Once it opened at 8:30 the line moved very well. When buying tickets you have to purchase the additional museums or sites at that time you can't add them on, so be aware. We missed out on several areas because you can't add them to your ticket, and can't purchase them at the location. The Colosseum was not what I expected. I expected a big sand center, and it is not that. But it was interesting. The archeological site is spectacular. We spent 4.5 hours in total and if you had the additional sites it would easily be a full day. I ran out of energy at about the time we finished. Our plan is always go to the right, the right, the right, so that you don't go down a path that leads you away from other things. In this case it paid off because there was an area to the right where you follow a faux wood boardwalk and it takes you under a road and all the way to an incredible obelisk. Many of the sites we have been to have paper maps, and yes you can use your phone but a paper map would have been really helpful.

This was cool. As a tourist from outside Italy this was a cool thing to do. We did a tour and our tour guide was excellent, highly recommend. Our tour guide was called Valerio and he knew so much history, for any question you had he had an answer to. Highly recommend doing a tour. This was a neat part of history to see in Italy and very cool to see it in person.

The Roman Colosseum is truly one of the world’s wonders , absolutely beautiful and completely spectacular to see in person. The amount of ancient history that took place there is incredible, and you can really feel it as you walk around. The lines can get pretty long, especially if you’re traveling with a group, but I was traveling solo and was able to slip through pretty quickly. Definitely recommend buying tickets ahead of time if you want to go inside. That said, it’s also really easy (and free!) to explore the outside, which is just as impressive. An unforgettable experience and a must-see when in Rome. #ruins #world wonder

It's exactly what you would expect. Beautiful and historic. We went earlier in the morning. Walked right in before the crowds. Buy your tickets in advance as they do sell out. We did the arena floor tickets and were able to spend over the time inside as I wasn't too busy yet. This ticket also comes with the Palatine Hill area as well which is a huge site of historical buildings and a museum you can walk through. Well worth your time. Make sure you budget a few hours for this walk but it's definitely worth it to see.

Incredible place, if you imagine how it is, and how big it is. Gladiators in the past was fighting here to stay alive , and for Caesar and rich people to have fun. It's huge building around 2000 years old build in less than 50 years. Capacity was around 50 000 people , and it was possible to fullfiled it with water , how amazing ! Majestic architecture , it is "must be" to see it ! Buy ticket for ship.the line :)

One of the most unique underrated structures in the entire world. Unreinforced concrete dome that is near perfect sphere. No documentary does this place any justice. You must see it in person and experience the grandeur of standing inside and seeing it firsthand. Worth every cent and the time taking in the moment. I am still in awe that I visited it and spent some time inside, I will never forget my trip to Rome because of this amazing structure.

An interesting experience. The structure and its interior are impressive. We bought the tickets as an add-on to our reservation through Booking.com. The place looks beautiful both at night and during the day. I recommend it.

The Pantheon truly impressed me. Stepping inside and seeing the oculus lighting the interior felt surreal. The building is incredibly well-preserved and beautifully balanced. Even with the crowds, it felt peaceful. Entry now costs 5 euros, but the experience is absolutely worth it. One of Rome’s most unforgettable landmarks.

The Pantheon is absolutely breathtaking. Standing inside this perfectly preserved ancient temple feels like stepping back in time — the scale, the symmetry, and especially the oculus are truly awe-inspiring. Even with the crowds, the atmosphere remains powerful and serene. It’s one of Rome’s most impressive landmarks and an absolute must-see. A masterpiece of history and architecture!

A must visit when in Rome. An architectural masterpiece. Being incredibly well maintained, One is able to see the Pantheon as the Roman’s would have seen it in their time. Pictures don’t do it justice. I would recommend getting their early morning 9am so you beat the crowds. The audio guide (most languages) is available once you are inside. At 10 euro it is fantastic value as it gives a great understanding of all things about the Pantheon. Entry is quite cheap too, you can cover it all in an hour!

I was passing by and saw this place, the Pantheon, which is quite a sight! 🏛️ It was a bit crowded for my taste, making it hard to move around, but the historical architecture is certainly impressive. ✨ If you don't mind the bustling atmosphere, it's worth a look. 😉 I appreciated the grandeur of the building. 🤩

Awesome and powerful!!!! The artworks and architecture leave you feeling inspired and uplifted! This place is so holy. You feel the power of God here. The building itself is an architectural marvel, and the inside is filled with incredible works of art. It’s definitely worth the trip to see it, you will be amazed. If you can handle many stairs, it is definitely worth it to go to the top of the dome. There’s an elevator to take you halfway up, but you’ll have to climb the stairs the rest of the way and it’s not an easy climb. However, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can see the entire Vatican City and Rome. Be prepared for large crowds of tourists everywhere inside and outside! I went on a weekday during off-season and it was still packed. Loved all the artwork of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! All glory to God! Amen!

Another mind blowing historical architectural marvel! Entered via an entrance from underneath after visiting the Necropolis (did a tour, absolutely amazeballs... different review). Visited St Peter's Tomb underground (controversial but not for a google map debate ;)... thought provoking though!). Cool that I could walk 'upstairs' and see the High Alter that is situated directly above and how everything was built around the tomb after seeing the different levels below. Historically and religiously significant, beautiful, opulent. There's lots of people as expected, just like you see on YouTube lol. But its worth it, and... you're in Rome. There's lots of people. The bascillica/s were basically built to keep the remains of St Peter safe. The first bascillica was built in the 4th century and the current bascillica started in 1506 and took just over a century to build. In this timeframe 20 popes oversaw its development keeping the tomb protected. Different artistic/architectural influences over time including Michelangelo's great hand which gives you some idea of the vibe there.

Amazing basilica. Definitely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Amazing arhitecture, artwork, sculptures, paintings. Incredible view from the top of the dome, if you visit the basilica be sure to not miss out if you are not afraid of higts, and you are not claustrophobic because the way up tends to take you through narrow stair ways. It's an amazing place, one of a kind in the world at this magnitude. Buy tickets in advance.

The visit to Saint Peter's Basilica was a must see, especially during special religious days or events. The wait line to get in was long, but it moved fairly quickly. Security was easy to get through. Once in the Basilica you will be struck with beautiful and awe at the size, splendor, and beauty of the space. Every wall is decorated. The dome is absolutely beautiful. Even though there were many people inside there was a dedicated space for personal prayer near the front of the alter. There is so much detail and history within the walls of Saint Peter's and the Vatican. I would most definitely recommend anyone to visit Vatican City and step into the Basilica.

Wow! Wow! What a magnificent place… from the beautiful architecture outside.. to the inside … and the master piece by Michelangelo is absolutely amazing! The line was long and once you entered, it is jam with people .. seems like every one from Europe is here… I have been here 3x as a young man and 30 years later, I am even more in love with this place! Come!

While the beauty and care with which the gardens have been cultivated are truly admirable, my visit was unfortunately overshadowed by the fact that smoking is permitted within the grounds. Allowing visitors to smoke in such a serene, carefully preserved natural environment is not only detrimental to the air quality and atmosphere but also deeply detracts from the experience for those who come seeking peace, beauty, and inspiration. The gardens, created over many years with such dedication and vision, deserve to be enjoyed in a setting that respects their tranquility and ecological integrity. Sadly, the presence of cigarette smoke made it difficult to fully appreciate the space and ambiance that Sir William Walton and Lady Susana Walton so lovingly brought to life. I strongly urge the Foundation to reconsider its policy on smoking within the gardens. Implementing a non-smoking rule would preserve the healthful environment, enhance the experience for all visitors, and align more closely with the spirit of harmony and reflection that La Mortella was clearly intended to embody.

Gorgeous gardens (ticket 12 €), quite large, so you will spend some time here. There is even a small cafe bar with some food right under the Greek theater (you can also find toilets here, next to the theater). We also caught the concert in the evening from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM and the ticket cost only 8 €. Fallowing the song for parking and ticket office if you are by car (around 1 km from down, another entrance by foot).

This is a must-visit-place if you visit Ischia! The place is incredible, and there's so many wonderful, beautiful and unique places. Make sure to have plenty of time, and it is a big garden and theres quite a lot of walking, paths up and down, elevations and stairs. At the very top and bottom, trees offer you a bit of shade and fresh air. The the levels in between, the sun and stairs can make it an incredibly warm experience. Make sure to bring water and something for your blood sugar if it is a very warm day. The place is relatively easy to reach by public transportation. Parking is a bit more tricky, however if you enjoy a slightly challenging drive on small roads there's a small parking lot at the very top of the garden.

If you’ve visited botanical gardens in other major cities (500,000+ population), this one won’t surprise you — it’s pleasant, but quite standard. Plan for about an hour to see everything. One important tip: there are a lot of tiger mosquitoes here. If you’re not familiar with them, look them up and make sure to bring repellent — it will make your visit much more enjoyable.

Beautiful environment, full of different plant species. 🌿 Highly recommend getting tickets for the concert they host it’s an amazing experience with incredible views! 🎶✨

A stunning set of gardens. Tranquil and inspiring. We also enjoyed an outdoor concert one evening whichbwas also a joy with all the scent from the garden mixing in with the frogs chorus from the ponds. Cant recommend more highly. Wegot there for when it opened at 9 as it was cooler and less busy.

Definitely worth the price and super nice to get some shade in there when it's super hot outside. Make sure to keep in mind the guided tour groups that might arrive on the daily around 10:30-11-30am

This park was really good, despite there being very few rides, with most of them being either broken or in need of a refurb. Costs €5 extra to get into the Nintendo experience, so make sure you book online since my family didn't (somehow). The fact that Mario, Sonic, Harry Potter and Topo Gigio are incorporated into the park is amazing, especially since it attracts both English and Italian speaking tourists to the park. There needs to be more sunbeds and rides as well since there weren't many. I think the Zoomarine in the Algarve is a tad better as it has more space and more rides, and also has rides that are of better quality. I would definitely recommend this! Also, there needs to be more English on the signage, I can't speak or understand that much Italian as I'm an Irish tourist :)

We really liked this waterpark. They offer various shows for families as well as a large selection of pools and joy rides. It has a bit of everything and you deffinetly need a day to be able to enjoy everything. I recommend buying tickets online to skip the queues.

Beautiful place, dolphins are so happy… however… seals need much more space. They seem very depressed and it’s not a good look for this park. They deserve a place where they can waddle, swim freely and relax.. the3x2metre cages they are in are not enough! The other aspects of the park are beautiful, the aquarium, butterfly atrium and rides are incredible and worth a visit. I really loved my time here but felt guilty to support a place where the seals are unhappy.. please respect your seals and make them as happy as the dolphins!

Great experience and lovely rides and shows. The place is really big so make sure you get there early and you have a lot of stamina as there are tons of things to do and see. You have to pay 5 euros for the car park, which we did not see in the prepaid tickets we bought online. Also, there are some awesome bundle packages online. The place is super clean and the kids loved it. The dolphin show is amazing but better still pay for the one on one sessions a bit more expensive but worth the price. Have fun!

terrible restaurant service,waiting more then 1 hour to get lunch, only 2 tills inside and hundreds of people. also till works very slow.also looks very diserted place, half pools dont work and all is dirty. only good thing are the animals but costs extra money.

This place gave us horrible experience. The pool is extremely disgusting. Full of leaves and so much mold around that will make you sick. The food is dirty and there were no places to sit and the staff didn't treat us like there customer at all. I don't reccomens comming here ever as a tourist because it's very toxic.
