So beautiful cathedral calm and peace located in passau. I visited in weekdays and it was not crowded. And cathedral is being renovated bit public is allowed now. You can get inside and praise the lord inside by lighting the candles. #passau

The cathedral has the most beautiful baroque ceiling work. A true spectacle. It's said to have the largest pipe organ ion the world. A concert is spectacular. Walking through the old-fashioned German town is fascinating. The Rhine recurringly floods halfway up the streets. Side streets are cobbled & decorated by local artists.

The Cathedral of Passau, also known as St. Stephen's Cathedral, is a stunning Baroque church located in Passau, Germany. The cathedral was under construction the time we were there, according to our guide St. Stephan is always under construction, it’s all depends if they have the funds or not. Even with a big crane inside you can tell the artwork on the ceiling is very impressive.

It is a huge cathedral with some of the highest ceilings i have seen in Europe. Seems this place was not destroyed by WW2, thankfully. It is a magnificent structure at the highest point of Passau.

They advertise the midday concert as the unique experience of listening to the biggest pipe organs in the world. We bought tickets for 6 euro each and then at the concert it turned out that the organs have been removed from the church for renovation (and will be away for 2 years!) so all we had was a concert of small mobile organs which was definitely not enough for a big church like this one. The concert was disappointing and it was not fair that they didn’t tell us (and other 300 people) honestly in advance. After the concert the ticket booth was already closed so there was no one to talk to. Good business concept for the church, disappointment for visiting people.

Beautiful, wonderful architecture, stunning works of art.

The gardens are magnificent. Symmetry and colors are combined in beautiful compositions. Access to the gardens is free. The palace itself is also free, but there is nothing to see. Access is only to the staircase, which is magnificent, but it is disappointing that there is no access to the halls. We only managed to peek into one.

It's a really beautiful and popular place in Salzburg that everyone have to see. The gardens are stunning and you can enjoy sitting around and taking photos. There are also classical music concerts there, which are definitely a must-see if you love this genre!

Even in late October, without all the flowers, the gardens are well kept and beautiful. I’m a huge fan of the dwarf garden! Very fun, though not PC (bc history is not PC) statues in there! Worth a walk through and FREE. The only part of the palace that was accessible was the marble staircase area—I believe it had a real name. Pretty, but the gardens are better!

Nice walk around the gardens with the memorable views of the Sound of Music. There were three weddings going on at the same time. Seems the palace was closed for visitors today. Loaded with tourists parties there for the same reason as us no doubt.

Even though it was rainy a lot, the sculptures at the outskirts of the palace and the gardens inside were pretty. The cobblestone ground was a bit swampy and uncomfortable to walk, but anyway I bet it'd be fascinating to revisit there on sunny days.

Very nice fortress overlooking the city of Salzburg. You get some magnificent view from up there. You also have the opportunity to got to the top of the fortress and get a full 360 degree view of the region. They have some nice museums and displays inside the fortress. Definitely worth it to spend some good amount of time. Even if you are here for short time, it would recommend 1.5hr just to walk through the entire area.

Bought the entrance and funicular train ticket and it's a enjoyable trip up the hill to the castle. Plenty of stuff to see in the fortress and also great view of Salzburg city from the top of the castle. Really beautiful scenery and we don't want to leave but had to rush to find the train station as we need to catch the 12pm Hallstatt tour.

We visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg and had a memorable experience. We didn’t know about the funicular to go up, so we walked all the way — a great cardio workout and a nice way to enjoy the surroundings. 🏰 The fortress itself is beautiful and very well preserved, offering a fascinating glimpse into Salzburg’s history. The museum inside is truly impressive, with excellent exhibits that make the visit even more enriching. 🌄 The highlight, however, is the breathtaking view from the top. Looking out over Salzburg and the surrounding mountains is simply unforgettable. ✅ Overall, Fortress Hohensalzburg is a must-see attraction in Salzburg. Whether you take the funicular or walk up, the combination of history, architecture, and stunning scenery makes it well worth the visit.

Truly beautiful, must see spot in Salzburg. Definitely recommend the panaromic view from the fortress tower. We unfortunately hadn’t visited neither the museum nor the armory, but we enjoyed it anyway. We really appreciated the stand where we could get for ourselves some Glühwein and simply enjoy the beautiful night view.

We thought there would be more spaces that were open for tours, but the tour was still good. The restaurant in the fortress was great! Service was great as well as the food and we enjoyed as much as we could eat as the portion sizes were large.

This is a fascinating site. There are many things to see in this historic place. Be prepared for some step climbing to get the very best views. We enjoyed learning all the history about the Fortress. There are rooms full of interesting items dating from ancient times to modern life.

Amazing castle and exhibition. Everything is modern, interactive and multisensory. Truly a nice example of the basic of how exhibitions today should look like. Plus the ticket's price is also very okay. 100% recommend buying tickets in advance though, there was a super long queue when buying on the spot.

What a great experience. The tour is very entertaining with a lot of facts, fun and adventure. You have to walk a fair amount of stairs. Visitors receive special clothes and can learn a lot about salt in general and about the process of the extraction as well. In the price of 43€ per person is included also the viewpoint, mine tour both in English and Deutsch, slides and a funicular ride in both directions. I totally recommend it! It is really worth it.

Salzwelten Hallstatt & Shop @ Hallstatt 🧂⛏️🇦🇹 🗓️ Visited: Saturday, 9 AM I made an online reservation for the Salzwelten Hallstatt tour and arrived early for the 9 AM slot—an excellent choice, as the morning was quieter and more relaxed. The visit begins with a scenic funicular ride up the hillside, giving beautiful lake views before reaching the mine entrance. The guided tour takes you deep into the historic salt tunnels, past centuries-old wooden pipelines, mining tools, and fascinating multimedia displays. Highlights included sliding down the traditional wooden miners’ slides and seeing the sparkling underground salt lake—absolutely magical. The mix of history, geology, and interactive fun made it a truly memorable experience. After the tour, I browsed the Salzwelten Shop for local gifts—gourmet Hallstatt salt, salt-infused chocolates, cosmetics, and decorative souvenirs. Everything felt unique and tied to the village’s heritage. 💡 The whole tour is worth the price! An absolute must-try if you’re visiting Hallstatt. 🧭 Tip: Book online in advance and go in the morning for a calmer, more spacious experience during the tour.

It is truly a very unique experience. You get to see how salt was extracted thousand years ago, and how it is being extracted nowadays. Furthermore, the guides are very experienced giving very important information about all the places you get to see, while large wooden slides are available for some fun.

Super fun experience for all who are visiting hallstatt! Tickets and reservation not available online, so u need to purchase them from the base funicular station. The staff will inform you when is the next tour starting, so you just gotta head up in advance via the funicular (which was pretty fast). Each tour is about 43 pax so make sure to queue or plan ahead! i thought that the group size was too big as even though the facilities inside could accomodate this group, there was a lot of unnecessary waiting around and people at the back could not hear what the guide was saying at each station, despite her already close to shouting. The cave was huge, but the time to explore or take photos at each station is very short. The staff will switch off the light within 5mins and people at the back usually dont get much chances to take pics by the time we reach the station. However, the caves were still pretty cool and we really enjoyed the 2 slides! We also got to take a train out of the salt mine via a really narrow tunnel and that was exhilarating. Overall the tour was about 1 and a half hours. The last tour is at 3.40pm, which means u can still catch the last funicular down after you complete the tour.

The tour was a great experience with lots of fun parts. The tour included fun slides and videos. We received special clothing to safely slide down the rides. The tour starts deep into the mine, where they explain the history of the mine and how they extract the salt. We had a great guide called Jakob, making the tour not only informative but also entertaining. However, the light show was an utter disaster- I could have made better. In addition the pricing what a little expensive.

It isn’t a cheap trip - but overall, I am glad we visited the Hallstatt Salt Mine. You have to dress in the protective clothing of the salt miners before you start the tour and backpacks must be left in lockers and reclaimed at the tour’s end. The tour itself took around an hour. You get to ride on two wooden miners’ slides during the trip which is good fun. At the second slide, your speed is recorded as you pass the camera positioned to catch all the fun. We managed to clock up only a miserable 11 kilometres per hour compared to our guide’s winning score of 28.6 kilometres per hour. You also get to ride on the miners’ train back at the end which makes a nice finale. Inside the cave, it is interesting to see the salt deposits up close. Various informative movies are played as you walk through the mine and you get a good feel for the 7,000 year history of salt mining in this part of Austria. Salt is a good preservative, so the Salt Mine is an archeological treasure trove. Towards the end of the tour, you get to see the oldest European evidence of a wooden staircase. Check opening times before you visit as the site is very popular, the only access is via the funicular and numbers are strictly limited. You need to allow 3 hours or so for the whole trip. Looks more scary than it is. Anyway I can cordialy recommend this adrenalín which is worth of money. Hidden benefit is the bus ride up the station. The driver is crazy but skilled enough to make you wet while driving up almost on the edge of the road 😎

Must try experience. First timer. Didn't have time to look around during the fly. To exciting, adrenaline high,tiers in my eyes ( glasses recommended). Would go second time for sure. More relaxed now. My equipment was put by the instructor the wrong way . Noticed just before my fly. Double check as only one instructor did the job for 20 people. Staff is nice and polite with adults and children.

It was fun but, I wasn't allowed to ride with the flying coaster because of overweight, even so I didn't get any refund. There is no possibility to buy tickets on site, you can only book online. What if you don't have any scale in your hotel room? I payed 26 euro more for nothing. I think it's not a customer friendly service.

The experience was absolutely amazing, excellent, and fun! At first, I only bought the Zipline ticket and skipped the Flying Coaster, but once I got there and started enjoying it so much, I decided to go for the full experience and paid for the Flying Coaster at the check-in counter. All the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and explained everything clearly. However, the older lady at the exit (responsible for the photos) was quite rude. When we asked her about our photos because we wanted to print them, she told us to go outside, check the screen, and come back with the number. When I returned and said I couldn’t find our photo, she was very unfriendly and said, “I don’t know your photo number, and I don’t have time to look for it!” Aside from this one staff member, the entire experience was wonderful and definitely worth it.

When entering the web site they put at the end on the main page, after! The purchase button that there's a weight limit. A normal person will never see this. We just lost a ton of money and precious time. Also the lady at the counter was no where close to being understanding. These guys are not worth your money

Zipline is great adventure. Strongly recommended. It looks more terrifying than it is in reality when you are on the ride. The roller coaster after that is terrible however. I advise against it. It pulls you with force into unpredictable directions and you need all your arms to counter it. However the kids liked it.

Expensive but worth the trip! The bus is a little confusing, but you have to take the city (838) bus to the Dokumentation station and then buy a tour bus pass to get to the top. 838 drops you off and picks you up from the same area. Convenient! Costs around 11.50Euro for round trip from the main station to the tour station. Keep your ticket for the return. Can also just buy a one-way ticket. We went middle of October. Snow was VERY slippery (and wet) so bring good shoes or walking poles. Was cold but not super cold. Thumbs up if this review helped you! :)

We were surrounded by clouds going up the mountain, but once we went up the elevator, it was clear skies and beautiful. The house is a restaurant which i did not go to. You can climb a little bit of the mountain and take breathtaking pictures.

Great experience and amazing views!!! If you go when there is snow, expect no treatment on paths could be very treacherous. Would do it again for sure!!! Restaurant was very good also, would eat there again. You need to park then take a bus up to elevator.

This is a very cool place to visit. It’s great that such a historical place has remained largely unchanged since construction. Even if you’re not interested in World War II history, the site offers fantastic views assuming the weather is cooperative. We had a nice lunch in the restaurant and I hope to visit again with clearer weather.

A very good experience. The bus trip up and down is excellent, it makes you appreciate the work involved to create the road in such a short time period. The views from the top are just phenomenal.

Must see and worth the 15 min electrical bus drive up mountain. Spectacular views. Terrible history but worth remembering all of us to have this never happen again. In the sun-gallery there is some information on the site and history.

Amazing….it was even better than I imagined. There’s a restaurant there that also doesn’t gouge you on prices. The trip up on the bus is an event in itself, followed by the short walk up along the original entrance tunnel and into the same original gold coloured lift. Incidentally the lift holds over 30 people! Then when you get out you are above the clouds and it’s epic. If you are near there, I would highly recommend it

Königssee is stunning! Clear emerald water, surrounded by mountains – a true paradise. The boat ride and echo experience are unforgettable, and St. Bartholomä looks like a postcard. Best to go early to avoid crowds.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Germany! The emerald water and mountain views are just breathtaking. You can take a boat trip, walk along the shore, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Everything is very well organized with good facilities and parking nearby. A must-see if you’re in Bavaria! 🚤🌲💚

The most unforgettable palce in Germany. I visited this place in October. You can take boat and hearing the horn sounds while taking the boat to explore the lake view.

This was our second visit to Königssee after eight years – and the lake still amazes us just as much ☺️ The boat ride is a fantastic experience – maybe not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. On the way, the guide explains everything in both German and English, and one of the highlights is when they play the trumpet and the sound echoes back beautifully from the mountains – a truly unique moment. We recommend stopping at St. Bartholomä, and then continuing by boat to Salet, from where you can walk to Obersee and further to Röthbachfall, Germany’s highest waterfall. The scenery along the way is absolutely stunning – Königssee is one of those places you’ll always want to return to.

No doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria, a boat ride across the lake and lunch on the far side. The location is extremely popular, the parking area alone is huge, I imagine it serves other activity points as well. Very touristy on the approach to the ferry jetties, loads of souvenir shops and restaurants/ food outlets. Around lunchtime boats leave every five minutes, we had no waiting time, we bought a ticket and hopped straight onto the next ferry. Everything was highly efficient. Loved it.

I love this lake, a lake for Kings with breathtaking view, clear water, majestic landscape and sustainable tourism development,… it is worthy to explore and immerse yourself in nature.

It's worth every penny you spend to reach here. It is a skiing heaven, but there is plenty to do if you don't ski as well. It is pretty easy to access the summit via cable cars and views were breathtaking. There is a small tunnel museum at the top along with a cafe. Easy parking at the bottom and it is free.

The top is reachable by taking 3 cable cars and the view is breathtaking everywhere. The price for the ascent and descent fares (54.5 euros for adult with guestcard) is very low for what this place has to offer. Definitely worth visiting.

Amazing gletscher, consisting of 3 jets. The highest top is 3000. I had fantastic ski week. The slopes are well maintained, not crowded, a lot of different lifts, . Would go again

Beautiful mountain with magnificent views, the cable car is wonderful, divided into 3 separate trips to get to the top. I really recommend this place, it's so refreshing on top! Plus you can get beautiful photos.

Difficult to describe views, waterfalls, green pastures, snow a5 the top, and glacier at the top. We visited in August, and the day started with rain, by the time we arrived, delayed by heavy rain, it was nice and clear but the temperature had dropped to 8c, so you most be prepared for all weather conditions.

An outstanding trip. Initially put out by the 45€ toll fee to enter the road but in the end very much worth it. Parking was free at each point though we did have to wait at times to get a space especially at the popular spots. We spent all day up there. Finished up at Kaiser-Franz-Josef glacier. Kudos to all the cyclists making the route.

It’s the most beautiful road I’ve ever driven. The views of the Alpine mountains are breathtaking. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely drive this road. I would love to do it again myself.

Road - route by car. Starting point: Kritania. Full of stopping points along the road, there are several additional points. Highest point 2571 meters. Bird of prey observation. Lake observation. There are also hiking trails, but you need to organize yourself. When we entered the road, the temperature was 18 degrees, clear. And we started the route, the temperature dropped to 3.5 degrees (depending on the vehicle). Light rain and heavy fog (slow driving) but possible. A very special experience, crazy views. Full of stopping points for snacks and drinks. Exhibition at the visitor center. Cost 45 euros per vehicle. A beautiful, special route.

Driving through the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most breathtaking experiences in Austria. The road takes you through stunning landscapes of snow-capped mountains and green valleys, making it a perfect destination for nature and photography lovers. The route is very well organized with plenty of stops offering panoramic viewpoints, small restaurants, and nature museums that share information about the wildlife and the Alps. From several points you can clearly see the glacier – an absolutely unforgettable sight. The journey can take several hours and you can easily spend a whole day exploring. The best time to visit is during summer when the road is fully open and the weather is ideal.

the road is great, the view is awesome. but be aware that there is a LOT of traffic. cars, tourist busses, motobikes, roadbikes. even on workdays. and be aware that there are lots of people in sportscars who mistake this wonderful road for a racetrack. still 5/5 for the view if you ignore the masses of people and the wannabe racers.

There are simply no words to describe it – it's absolutely beautiful. We’ve hit the perfect timing: warm weather, yet still plenty of snow up in the mountains. Just fantastic! Breathtaking landscapes, stunning peaks, and wonderfully fresh air.

Very tranquil, placid, clam, mirror lake with clear see-through waters. Surroundings make photos surrealistic, especially early in the morning with the low hanging clouds and misty layers. Boat rides available. Walk around the whole lake takes about two to three hours depending on speed.

A lake where there is a wonderful energy and you calm down by it. It takes you into meditation. You can also go SUP, boating or just swimming. I really recommend a visit.

Peaceful, natural, and absolutely beautiful! Lake Bohinj is less crowded than Lake Bled but just as stunning—maybe even more for nature lovers. Surrounded by mountains and crystal-clear water, it’s perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing by the shore. The atmosphere is calm and untouched, great for hiking and enjoying the fresh alpine air. We loved the scenic views and the overall peaceful vibe. A hidden gem in Slovenia! It has plenty of parking and at less cost compared to lake bled. It's bigger and calm.

Campers delight! Just 40 mins from bled- this lake is stunning and located between Julian Alps! We found a nice parking spot towards end of the lake away from commercial area! Water a bit chilly even during 26-27 degrees but very clean!

It's trully magical place! Incredibly beautiful setting. A big hike around the lake is highly recommended.

It is a much larger lake compared to Lake Bled and makes you feel more immersed in nature. I recommend exploring the shores and nearby areas within the Ukanc region. It’s definitely one of the natural beauties that must be seen in Slovenia. Although Bled is more charming, this place is far more magnificent.

What a special place. The mountains rising up to the sky and eventually coming down to the shores of the lake were spectacular. The Chrystal clear water of the lake was so inviting. Have to bring a swimsuit next time I’m here.

A cradle of our faith for my country. From here the misionary work went out to the east. Glorious holly place, with a lot of history, beautiful mosaics and old architecture. Cript is amazing with lot of relics.

One of the most important church seats in this part of Italy, also for Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. Basilica is build on the 1. century Roman mosaics, that were covered in 4. century by other level of mosaics. On top of those two layers of mosaics the present church was built. The Bell tower dated from 11. century. The three naval church has leather patriarchal seat. The crypt is full of frescos from life of Jesus and the life of saint Hermagoras and saint Fortunatus. You can admire early and fine early Christian mosaics. I liked the most the one with a turtle and the big one that represents sea with boats and sailers.

The Basilica of Aquileia is a treasure that everyone should visit. The mosaic floor is absolutely stunning, and the space around the Basilica is pleasant and relaxing. The frescoed crypt is also fantastic! Absolutely recommended when passing through the FVG region!

The Basilica is a beautiful piece of architecture. Majestic with a magnificent mosaic floor and ornate wooden roof. Also fantastic is the visit to the archaeological dig area below the Basilica where it is possible to see the early roman mosaic dating back to the first century a.d. The area surrounding the Basilica is also very interesting and kept in order.

One of the most beautiful churches ever!

Italy is a country of historical beauties and this Cattedrale is undoubtedly one of them. As soon as one enters the building is immediately overwhelmed by history: the view of the soffit and of the floors, covered by mosaics, is truly breathtaking. When admiring this church you can “touch” the architectural, engineering and artistic ability of our ancestors: these treasures have withstood over a millennium (even more, when considering the original layers dating from B.C.). The building basement is a surprise of mosaics and there it’s really astonishing how, through small tiles, those artists were able to depict amazing subjects, such as animals, faces and various objects. Just a small suggestion: the descriptions of the mosaics made on the handrails, has it is done, is not a very clever solutions, since most of the writings have gone.

Beautiful path, quite easy to do for people of all ages and fitness. The standard loop walk of about 1.5 miles takes you through the caves and canyon where you can see waterfalls. You're given a map at the ticket office but even without it the path is well signed and easy to follow. I recommend going early morning in summer as it can get hot hiking back up. Also the parking is a bit complicated to figure out, it would help if there were a sign post next to it with instructions instead of on-the-go reading from the meter screen which is difficult when is very sunny as the day we went. A standard loop walking slowly takes you about 1 hour so don't pay more than 1.5h parking unless you plan on having lunch at the restaurant inside the loop path or stop at the bar near the car park.

Very cool place, challenging paths and great views. Lots of history and ecology along the way. Parking is 2€/hour and entry is 4€/person. DONT TAKE THE CASTLE DETOUR, long, difficult and underwhelming.

It is an easy walking activity and very interesting cave. Not so big, so don’t plan hours. We could manage it in 1 hour. You can park next to the bridge in a Parking lot, 1 h = 2€. You need to buy the parking ticket directly from the automata. We arrived around 10 am, it was not busy.

Beautiful, easy hike that’s great for young kids. There’s 2 restaurants near the trail and parking is easy to navigate. The trail is about 1.5 miles

nice little 1km hike through the caves / along the creek. Walking slow and seeing everything you can finish in 20/30min. 4 euros a person and 2 euro per hour for parking is a little much but it’s a decent walk / attraction

Nice park to wander around, check out the cheese maturing in the cave along with the rest of the caves and waterfalls. The mill down the path still turning the grinder with water power is neat and there is a great panorama view of the valley and the scenic church tower if you climb to the upper cave and proceed a little down the path. The restaurant is a neat option. We did not eat there. There is also a caffe at the visitors center on the way in. If you try and get all the paths and the elevated veiw it could be about 1.5 hour stop. Parking can be a little difficult to find as there are several small lots sprinkled around the park. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

I was surprise that i could chilled there and slept for about 2h on the "liegenstuhl with sonnenschrim" without getting charged for the place.. It was so relaxing with the sound of the wave, summer Breeze & giggles from the kids who were playing there n having fun.it has beach sevice guys to control everything there or if u need help. The beach is nice, clean, and even have closet room and shower. But the toilet was dirty and one of the cleaning service was so rude.

Water quality is good anway its not for snorchling, due to sand visibility in water is low. Beach is clean and fully equipped with important facilities like bar, toilet, place for rest, showers. Like that is forbiden to smoke on beach, anyway you have option to smoke in dedicated places. Issue for me was that this beach is duting season very overcrowded with milions of people, anway in water is enough placem acces to wate is very good for kids, slowly invreasing depth of water. Safety included from beach staff.Lot of guys is selling stuf on beach and yes is warmy here during the season 🙂

I just passing Bibione and want to get fast swim, well the water is dirty because of sand that is obvious, so no snorchling. The prices for sun beds are crazy 😀. I guess is good place for family with the Kids.

We visited the outlet during the Venice Carnival and thought it would be very crowded due to the huge influx of tourists, but we were wrong. It was calm, and we could enjoy the walk. There is a great variety of stores. In some of them, the prices didn’t seem significantly lower than in regular shops, but in others, there was definitely a noticeable difference. Honestly, we expected lower prices and more deals.

A lot of stores and a wide range of brands, ranging from sweets, travelling equipment, household equipment to off course clothing. The area has a lot of cafes and dining places. A nice place to walk around and do shine shopping. They also have some 50kW charging stations in the parking area - easy to find navigating by the signs.

This is maybe the most beautiful outlet village I have ever visited, and I have visited a lot of them. Only 30 min from Venice, you should add this as a stopover to your trip and spend a day here. It has a huge parking (few of them), and it is extremely clean. You can easily find almost every Italian luxury brand here, but the awesome deals are not so easy to find, you have to dig deeper. Sometimes there are several really good shopping deals, sometimes less, but it is a pretty small chance that you will leave it empty handed. It is worth a visit. But set aside at least 4/5 hours considering its size.

One of the largest outlets in Europe. Nicely organized and you need a few hours to visit everything. As for the offer, it concerns various brands, including Italian ones. Prices in which shop, sometimes it pays off, somewhere it doesn't. The restaurants within the outlet are commendable in terms of what they offer (of course, you won't eat like in authentic Italian restaurants anywhere here, and you shouldn't expect that. The parking lot is very spacious and even when it's crowded, you can find a place relatively easily and quickly.

I like it - you can get all fashion brands on one place. Mostly, you need some luck as well, you will find also many good prices/discounts! I like such shopping centre as your family can go buying necessary, you can wait on the fresh air and simply enjoy

Outstanding outlet! Compared with other outlets this one is by far the most beautiful! Whole mall is clean. Entourage is great. Almost all the nice brands are in the mall. Discounts are real. Lots of food and drink places. Enough toilet facilities. And parking space more than enough! If you’re early you can park nearby, otherwise you will have to walk a couple minutes.

We love the charming city of Treviso. It has cobblestone streets, narrow sidewalks and adorable cafe's. We had the best gelloto. You can get lost in the many little streets within the walls of the fortress. Many streets line the canals were you with see ducks a swans. Rent a bike or take a stroll around the fort.

Piazza dei Signori is the heart of Treviso and one of the city’s most beautiful squares. Surrounded by elegant historic buildings and lively cafés, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere and start exploring the charming streets nearby. A must-see when visiting Treviso!

We preferred a walk in this city instead of crowded Venice. And we do not regret it, a very calm, beautiful and history-filled town.

This bridge is really beautiful. It offers a nice view around, being quite high and is amazing both day and night. On the downside, it’s crazy crowded and you may need to wait your turn just to take a picture.

The Ponte di Rialto in Venice is one of the most beautiful bridges I’ve ever seen. The combination of the gondolas gliding along the Grand Canal and the bridge’s elegant architecture creates one of the most breathtaking views in all of Venice. It truly feels magical. I highly recommend visiting it!

Fantastic views from either side of the bridge make this bridge well worth a visit. The earlier in the day you can manage the better as it is still crowded in the winter months. However the views are worthwhile and the photo opportunities are excellent.

Visited the Rialto Bridge while in Venice, very easy to get to and visible from different places and also from the water. Lots of shops on each side of the bridge, and lots of gift stalls at each end. A beautiful structure that is equally beautiful in daylight as it is after dark. A must see if in venice

It’s a bridge — but a very beautiful one! The Ponte di Rialto is a great spot to take pictures and enjoy views of the Grand Canal. It’s usually busy, but the atmosphere is amazing. Definitely worth a quick stop when exploring Venice.

Loved staying nearby this beautiful bridge. Definitely a highlight to see it at all times of day, with the shops, the joy of everyone else experiencing the iconic moment and even the tension of all the boats and ferries doing the everyday life and business in the canal around it. There is a great local grocery store just down the canal. We didn’t end up eating in any of the restaurants right there as we found wonderful trattoria away from the crowds. Loved finding new views of it and from it.

An amazing experience. The Rialto bridge is definitely a must-see bridge while in Venice. It gets busy during the day as all tourists know this is a must-visit destination. We came here in October 2025 and there was still a lot of visitors but it is at the end of the season. There are restaurants where you can sit and enjoy cocktails and people-watch. The waterways are very busy so there's always something going on.

Wow. First look was across the square - what a magnificent place. Loved listening to Rick Steeves podcast about the square and outside of the church. So many intricacies and unique bits. Then we were a part of a mass in the side chapel- so lovely. Came back later that day for the whole tour (again with RS!) amazing history, architecture, heaving floor & art! Did the whole deal with Pala d’oro and Loggia and glad I did. So cool to get up close to the horses, the mosaics, the view from up top. I bought tickets the same day but that saved me some waiting time.

The Saint Mark’s Basilica is one of the most beautiful Catholic churches I have ever visited. The basilica blends perfectly with the surrounding Saint Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace, creating a breathtaking historical setting. The main altar is truly a jewel—absolutely astonishing in its detail and craftsmanship. On the second floor, the four Greek horses are remarkable pieces of art and history. I highly recommend visiting this magnificent church with a guided tour to fully appreciate its rich background and hidden details.

St. Mark’s Basilica – Venice We had tickets for the basilica but mixed up the date due to the time difference coming from the U.S.—we were supposed to visit on the 3rd at 3:00 PM, and only realized that day that our reservation was actually for the 4th which is the following day. We arrived very early in the morning of the 4th when it opened. There was an event in the piazza so there was no line at all, and we explained that we had to catch a train later that afternoon. Despite the empty entryway and our situation, we were denied entry and told to return at the exact reservation time. We respect that there are rules and timed tickets exist for crowd control, but it was disappointing that there was zero flexibility, especially when the basilica was not crowded and accommodating two visitors would not have impacted operations. The basilica itself is extraordinary, and MAYBE we’ll try again next time—but travelers should know that the staff take reservation times very strictly, even when the site is relatively quiet.

The Basilica di San Marco is really impressive. It offers incredible details and beautiful art. It is usually sold out for the next 2 days, so I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. On the official website you can buy it with an entry time, so you don’t have to queue outside. Once inside, you can also buy tickets for some additional areas of the Basilica, directly through a QR code that is placed right in front of the area you want to visit. If you wish to get an audio guide, you can rent one once inside, just after the access, but you will need your own earphones (which currently need a mini jack to be connected to the device), if you don’t have it, you can still hear it placing the device on your ear. This is available in several languages and it will be necessary if you want to know what you’re looking at in the Basilica. Depending on how long you want to stay inside, you may be able to see it all in 30-60 minutes, differently from the Palazzo Ducale which takes much longer. Have fun!

This palace is beautiful and full of history and artwork. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time and giving yourself at least two hours to explore. A must-see in Venice! The Doge’s Palace is absolutely breathtaking — filled with history, incredible art, and ornate architecture that captures the essence of Venice’s power and beauty. We visited around 5 PM, and it wasn’t busy at all, which made it even more enjoyable to explore at our own pace. Highly recommend booking tickets in advance to skip any lines and ensure your preferred time. Walking across the Bridge of Sighs and seeing the view from both sides was unforgettable. Truly one of the highlights of our trip!

Book ahead of time and the queue isn't TOTALLY awful. Impressive selection of fancy rooms with big paintings in them. Have fun spotting which doge looks the most like Santa! Surprised the gift shop doesn't do Doge Top Trumps, this would sell (if palazzo ducale are listening). Also top tip: at some point in the tour you get to the prison cells and you have the option to take the short route or the 'complete tour'. The complete tour is just LOTS MORE PRISON CELLS. Only take if you really enjoy empty stone rooms and stairs!

We booked a tour via get your guide (crown tours). The tour guide we had was passionate and her English was really easy to understand. We learnt so much. We chose the balcony tour and that was excellent and not too crowded. Got so much more out of your than I expected. Be warned plan to get there earlier than your time slot, I saw a couple who were late and missed there toyr and as other tours were full could not join the next one.

Oh my gracious what an incredible palace!! 686 years old. Do a tour! We did with skip the line passes. Hearing the history is needed to understand the meaning of so much of this palace. It is ginormous. I could walk around and stare at all the artwork and art, the exhibits, the prisons! Crazy to think prisoners as recently as 1920 were still being held here. The sheer wealth ugh

Beautiful location. Choose the time of year you go as it can become very busy indeed. The streets of Venice are many and varied with many bridges and not a car to be seen. The waterways are busy too, bustling with boats which is entertaining to watch. Easy access by foot straight from the train station. Most definitely worth a visit but go armed with 'maps' on your phone so you don't get lost.

Nothing quite like it. For travellers, this body of water represent life, entertainment, livelihood, connection to ea SH other, services and beauty. So much history, so much beauty! At night time it glitters colours and lights from different establishments. During the day it becomes a guide, a marker for people to follow and wander to their destination. Venice and Grand Canal, where nature and people’s ingenuity combine.

The Grand Canal is the heart of Venice—beautiful palaces lining both sides, gondolas gliding by, and vaporettos buzzing through. Whether you take a boat ride or just admire it from the bridges, the views are absolutely unforgettable.

This waterway runs the entire length of the Lagoon of Venice! There is much traffic on the waterway: water buses, water taxis, gondolas and private boats and amazing to see how they navigate it all. I purchased a 3-Day Water Bus pass and it allowed me to enjoy the beautiful views, massive buildings, Rialto Bridge and exquisite architecture of all the other buildings along the waterway.

It was amazinggg, We loved it.We took the gondola and it was a great experience. We paid 90€ in total for three people. The price does not change depending on the number of people. It is the same whether there are five people. The 30 minute gondola ride is priced at 90€.Definitely take a walk around the back streets, this is essential to understand the spirit of Venice. And definitely eat at more local establishments, it's cheaper and more original.

Line 1 of the vaporetto is Venice’s best show. If you’re lucky enough to get the seats beside the pilot cabin, you feel the city open up: the thrum of the engines, the vibration of the deck plates, the water slapping the hull, and palazzi lit like stage sets as you glide past. Rialto was once the world’s trading floor, where goods from East and West were landed — and you sense that weight of history even now, slipping under its arch by night. A vaporetto ride is Venice’s greatest souvenir: not bought, but lived.

So special to experience these beautiful churches - up and down! We got to enjoy an English mass at 9am on Sunday. Touring with Rick Steeves podcast in our ear was great (also the town walk is so good). Loved the museum in the back. The highlight of course was the crypt, to spend some time in the presence of St Francis. Well- we know his presence is with us in Christ, but so cool to see his tomb. The Giotto frescoes are amazing and the ceilings- wow, that blue- I love it.

Lovely Medieval town - Assisi - famous for St Francis' Basilica, which we visited. Also had a lovely cappuccino but didn't stay for lunch. Escalators available to get you into the higher parts of town from all the car parks so no worries for older and less mobile visitors. A must-see if in Umbria

Today's highlight. You don't want to miss this place when in Assisi. Prepare for a walk uphill and downhill. Travel light but bring some coins or bills for the offering and candles. There's plenty of good restaurants and giftshop in the area. Walking distance to visit the tombs of St. Clare and Saint Carlo Acutis.🙏🙏🙏

What an amazing experience to be able to come on a pilgrimage here. The church is very beautiful and full of meaning. There is a tomb of St. Francis of Assisi under this church. There is also a museum, and a souvenir shop. Don’t forget when you enter, there is a prayer paper that we can take and write, so that later we can bring it to the tomb area of St. Francis, and we give to the brothers here to pray. Then don’t forget after shopping at the souvenir shop, bring it to the blessing section near the exit.

We visited here as part of a tour group, it has amazing art work throughout, its just a shame you can not take photos of your visit. It is a very large complex and will stun you by its size, it gets busy and has some stairways that are narrow.

Another beautiful and amazing church in Italy, the Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi. We can visit the tomb, the mortal remaining of St Francis of Assisi, which was preserved since 1230. Also, this church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. there are two distinct churches: the Upper and Lower Basilicas. Visitors can explore intricate chapels adorned with remarkable artwork while learning about the rich history through audio guides.

A beautiful building with breathtaking murals inside. Photos are not permitted inside but it is well worth visiting. The murals are floor to ceiling and it's also a pleasant place to spend an hour out of the heat just admiring the works. ⛪

We attended the procession at night. Arrive early for the rosary and have time to pick up a candle. It was packed inside the church. It was a nice, moving experience when in the area. The church is currently undergoing some renovations.

What a beautiful church. Most special because of the portinocula - St Francis’ special little church. Incredible works of art- especially one of Francis receiving the stigmata. They also have confession booths with multiple languages, with very caring and open priests ready to hear and help you draw close to God. Francis’ place of death and his rose garden as well. Wonderful masses offered. A great gift shop. I wish I had bought more Tau necklaces while I was there to give to others. Also the bookstore is awesome. So many great Franciscan themes and authors.

Hi there, A Cathedral with impressive art on walls and ceiling. Well it was not allowed to take pictures but I've done one.

A very nice basilica in Assisi, probably often overlooked because people flock up to the hilltop to the town and the more famous basilica and other attractions. This is on the other side of the main train station of Assisi. It’s actually walkable distance from the train station. There is a nice museum, rose garden and gift shop in side as well. The piazza Della Porziuncola in front of the basilica is quite large and nice to walk around and take in the beauty of this place.

Beautiful Basilca where inside there is the Little Church that St Francis Of Assisi had renovated when he mistakenly got the message from The Cross wrong as he thought he had to rebuild the small Church but realised God meant the World Church .

Attended Mass here on Sunday, with a good amount of pilgrims. Large inside, under renovations now even the Porziuncola. It’s a very special place to visit where St Francis prayed with his followers & passed away.

Really good tour. First part is sat down listening to a lady speak (who was excellent) and a video. Then a look at the exhibits in the museum. Best bit was then the factory tour which takes place on a kind of enclosed, raised walkway. Fascinating. My kids loved seeing the robots packing chocolates. Finishes with an opportunity to taste the range. Very well done and a good 2 hour experience.

We went there without any appointment. But lucky us, we still got a chance to join an Italian group to visit the factory. Although we don’t speak any Italian, the guide lady was super friendly and nice! She played an introduction video in English and explained to us in English as well. And the workers at the factory look so happy. Last but not least, the entire factory smells sooooooo yummy 😋 Highly recommend to visit! We had a lot of fun there. Of course, it would be better to check their schedule before going, they have English tour as well.

Wanted to book a private tour in English, cost over 600E for a tour and private class. Won’t take a credit card, wanted my bank information….. Booked a tour at Lindt in Switzerland and very helpful and worked with you!!! Someone told me about another chocolate factory in Perugia called Be Well… great people…very nice….

We called their number and made a reservation for an English tour in advance. The entrance is closed from 1300h to 1400h (and they did not open it early despite seeing lots of us waiting outside in the sun). Adult tickets are €10 each; children accompanied by an adult are €8 (you buy tickets there). The 1400h tour started at 1412h. Our guide was Gloria, she speaks English very well, and was very friendly with the group. She gave a short introduction and then we watched a ten minute video about the history and how their chocolate is made (disappointing that Perugina company was taken over by Nestle). Then we had a five to ten minute period of sampling chocolate (four Baci, one dark OR milk chocolate egg, and one Milky Bar and one After Eight - seven chocolates in total). The group all went to the museum portion together where Gloria explained more of the history, etc... (probably about 15 minutes). Then we went to tour the factory (probably about 15 minutes). It was unfortunate that we didn't see the chocolate being made on the assembly line (nothing was coming out on the machines), but we did see the chocolate being boxed up. We got into their shop area just over an hour after the start of the tour (around 1530h). This is an ok thing if you're looking for something to do in the area, but not worth a special trip only for this IMO. They ramp up production in October for Easter (so you'd see the giant eggs being made with the surprise in the middle). The town has a chocolate festival in October as well. What ruined our experience (otherwise this would have been three stars), was there was a massive group (greater than 20 people, at least 12 of which were children ranging in age from toddler to about 10yo) who came in after the video, and were extremely loud. There was so much yelling, crying, children running around everywhere, it was hard to hear the guide, and if you happened to be more than three to five people behind the guide in the factory you could not hear her at all. Because of advance booking for the tour, this group should have been put by themselves. Our "original group" of about 15 people would've been great. If the factory is going to have groups greater than 15 people they should have head sets for everyone to be able to hear the guide, or simply keep the groups smaller and run more frequent tours.

An extensive tour of the famous ‘Baci’ chocolate factory and adjoining museum. Event (pre-booked on their website) starts off with a video feature, followed by some tasty chocolate samples, and a guided tour starting with an exhibition on how it all started, with an extensive display of the many products sold and on sale, ending with an overhead walk along the factory and a well-stocked shop with items for sale. All you chocolate lovers this is worth a visit to set you dreaming!

If you visit perugia is a must experience!We had the pleasure of English guide and she explained everything sharing the passion for the company its values!We ate a lot of chocolates and we had the opportunity to buy some chocolate souvenirs on low price.The tickets were 8 euros as it was weekend and some production machines didn't operate. However it was a pleasant visit!

The square embellished by the cathedral facade is simply mesmerizing ! The center point of Spoleto with Pinturicchio and Filippino Lippi frescoes nested in a late romanic architecture with a 15th century colonnade that add to its gravitas. Spectaculat, imposing, magnificent !

There are two audio guides available. The first audio guide has one headphone set and is immediately visible upon the right hand side after entry into the church. The second audio guide is at the rear of the building on the left hand side and it has two headphone sets. There are multiple languages to choose from. Cost is €2 for six or so theee to five minute discussion guides on versions aspects of the church, its history and people. Highly recommend listening to the guide. A lot of information condensed into a short time frame. Of particular interest was the geopolitics and the historical involvement with the Medicis. Bring €0.50 to pay for the lights at various sections of the church. It will not accept smaller cents or €1 or €2. If you do not have €0.50, the cashier in the bookstore will gladly make you change. Here there is a letter from St Francis to St Leo which is on the left hand side of the church in an obscure corner of the back room which requires €0.50 to brighten the room. In this room is also a skull and legno painted Sybil’s and saints. Another highlight is Papa Giovanni Paolo in the right back corner which again can be more visible with the 0.50. Bookstore lacks statues of the holy family and saints, holy water, and religious relics which are available at most other churches throughout Italy. This was disappointing. I visit many churches and collect onomasticos for my family and friends. I was hoping to get the baby Michele and raffe for my cousins grandchildren at this visit. I like to think a lady can never own too many shoes, dresses or holy relics. I left this cathedral without spending the money which I normally spend in a church but I will gladly give my money to another church in the area. Definitely worth a visit. Estimated Time required: 1.30-2 hours

Beautiful Cathedral. So very interesting. The painting by Filippino Lippi, is of course stunning. It draws you in the more you look. The atmosphere is very tranquil. We went up the 147 (I think ) steps to the bell tower, it was worth the climb to see the view.

Like all the big churches in Italy, you will be amazed at the art work throughout the building.

This cathedral with a square in front can be reached by going up an elevators set up, not far from a parking lot in Spoleto outskirts. Like many churches across Italy, this is a splendid Romanesque building very much worth a visit not only for prayer and worship. Inside there are magnificent works of art with various paintings, including frescoes by Pinturicchio, mosaics and more.

So beautiful!! Unfortunately we came a bit late, at 15:30, 30 minutes before the falls are shut down for the day. It’s nice to stroll through the park regardless. But the park was closed entirely by 17:00, so I would advise to plan the visit time better than we did.

It is just beautiful,. We set parking for 1.5h , but we sure did needed more. Got to the first 3 spots there, all the way down. Luckily we packed some snacks and fruits 😋 bc there is a lovely view point right in front of the waterfall.

Absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. There are paths that make it fairly easy to walk up to view the various falls (you will get wet!). The temperature drops ten degrees when you reach the parking lot, which is an incredible treat in summer. Be sure to stay to see the falls turn off at 1pm or back on again at 3. Plenty of parking. The bus terminal is a little tricky to find in Terni. It’s not the main Terni station but is around the corner to the left after you walk out the front entrance of the station. There’s a dedicated shuttle just for the falls, but pay attention to times, or you’ll end up needing a taxi to get back to Terni (speaking from experience!).

Pretty impressive place it is better to come on the schedule and to climb up to see all the place it is like a small iguasu

The tallest artificial watetfall in the world! A beautiful, unconventional place – created by human intervention, yet so natural. It's worth devoting more time to exploring and hiking the entire trail, rather than just admiring the views from the upper terrace.

We really enjoyed our visit. Amazing sculpture work. To see the handmade works and chisel marks. The restaurant was nice, we got the steak. Very nice and very reasonable prices. There is also a cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely loved every inch of this place, and well worth the admission price. A wonderful place to bring kids, and the restaurant served us the most beautiful Fillet Steak we have had in a long time. Definitely worth a trip.

Absolutely incredible! We ditched seeing Vatican City after a long road trip across Italy, found the poster on the side of the highway and decided to drop in. Tons of parking including with a camper, kind staff, clean ground incl washroom. Soo soo soo many unique neat sculptures. There's some wheelchair ramps to washrooms but not to the sites that we could find.

I really liked this exhibition, the statues were huge and mesmerizing! The tilted building was also fun! The price (13€) was a bit overpriced for the size of the park, but still I would recommend it!

Such a magical place. Its surrealist stone sculpture garden. We were there in Jan but would have been great to be in warmer weather since its located in hilly landscape with streams and grass area. We spent about 1 hr walk around. Its easy terrain for slow walk but different elevation makes the park interesting. Love the face entryway, elephant sculpture and leaning building. Will definitely watch the movie where the entire movie scene was shoot in this park.

My husband and I brought our 4 kids on a Sunday. It was great, really beautiful and interesting, and there is a picnic area as well as a playground, both are excellent features, however, it is a small park and costs a family of 6 (with 4 children aged 13 and younger) 58 euros. There is no family rate. Furthermore, according to the website this will increase in January 2026. Would I recommend, yes. Do I think it was overpriced, yes, if you just walk through and dont spend time there. However, if you spend the entire day there it seems a better price :) also no refunds for bad weather.

Small restored quirky garden of bizarre statues commissioned by a middle ages count who was a little off his rocker. Worth a side trip but a little costly.

Popular on a sunny Sunday in early September with lots of people swimming and paddle boarding. Street food and Market in Anguillara. A beautiful expanse of water with no floating litter to spoil the view. Popular for pier fishing too.

A leisure walk by the lake and walk up to the top to see the full view of the city and the lake. The walk is about 15 mins. The view from the top is stunning overseeing the city and lake. Worth the effort to walk up there.

Must visit; not only for the lake but also the beautiful surroundings of the lake where you can hike or stop and eat etc. The lake itself was clean and peaceful and it’s the second largest lake in the region and one of the major lakes in Italy( it’s a volcanic lake by origin) and for the first time I saw a type of rat that I’ve never seen before there eating rice😅: Nutria (Myocastor coypus), also known as the coypu. On Fridays,you have open market very close to the lake where you buy jewelry,bags etc. You can find parking space for cars but most parkings are payment(not that much) except you park for free a little away from the lake and then take your time and walk to the lake

Spent a couple of hours walking along the beach and up through the town. A beautiful location on a lake in a volcanic crater. Lots to see in the area, with medieval castle Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, the ancient church of San Liberato ( from the ninth century). It was an enjoyable visit in a community just north of Rome.

If you are in rome and are looking for a quick getaway this is it! It’s such a peaceful area and the lake is great for a quick swim with the swans. Kayak is also available and you can also rent pedal boats for groups of 4 which is really cheap!

Magical place, mostly after 6pm when the sun is not so strong and the kids are gone. Good for sailing, relaxing, enjoying yourself and taking beautiful pictures.
