Went here as part of a sound of music tour. It was a really nice building in a lovely little town. It didn't cost any money to visit. It has a little gift shop. We went on a Sunday and there was a small market in the courtyard area seeking mostly food items

We went to Mondsee and visited the Basilika St Michael church. Stunning. Apparently this is where the wedding from the Sound of Music was filmed. Beautiful, serene. Abit taken back seeing the four skeletons in the altar, apparently they died for the church.

Basilika St. Michael is such a beautiful church. It's in the quaint little town of Mondsee. Absolutely worth the drive. We arrived rather late in the day. Didn't take pictures inside as it's an active place of worship. This is where the Sound of Music marriage scene was filmed. Majestic interior. However, it's not the actual place the wedding took place between Maria and Captain Von Trapp. When we arrived, a very sweet local old man was there and shared a lot of information about the church with us. It's wonderful to know that places of worship still have importance in so many people's lives.

So beautiful cathedral calm and peace located in passau. I visited in weekdays and it was not crowded. And cathedral is being renovated bit public is allowed now. You can get inside and praise the lord inside by lighting the candles. #passau

The cathedral has the most beautiful baroque ceiling work. A true spectacle. It's said to have the largest pipe organ ion the world. A concert is spectacular. Walking through the old-fashioned German town is fascinating. The Rhine recurringly floods halfway up the streets. Side streets are cobbled & decorated by local artists.

The cathedral was under construction the time we were there, according to our guide St. Stephan is always under construction, it’s all depends if they have the funds or not. Even with a big crane inside you can tell the artwork on the ceiling is very impressive.

It is a huge cathedral with some of the highest ceilings i have seen in Europe. Seems this place was not destroyed by WW2, thankfully. It is a magnificent structure at the highest point of Passau.

They advertise the midday concert as the unique experience of listening to the biggest pipe organs in the world. We bought tickets for 6 euro each and then at the concert it turned out that the organs have been removed from the church for renovation (and will be away for 2 years!) so all we had was a concert of small mobile organs which was definitely not enough for a big church like this one. The concert was disappointing and it was not fair that they didn’t tell us (and other 300 people) honestly in advance. After the concert the ticket booth was already closed so there was no one to talk to. Good business concept for the church, disappointment for visiting people.

Overall for 50 minutes max. Nearby are free animal runs, a possibility to have fun for the whole day. Be careful if you are coming from abroad, have EUR cash with you, because without it it is impossible to park.

The Bavaruan Forest nature preserve with lookout is a must stop when in this area. It offers large piece of well maintained area of nature, beautiful lookout, history of the local nature and fresh air, that is good for breathing 🙂 There are two large parking lots. At the time of our visit, the parking was free. There is also cultural area with bistro and café. Everything is clean and ready to welcome visitors.

The Baumwipfelpfad Bavarian Forest was beautiful and peaceful. The 360 degree view from the top is amazing. The climb to the top is quite easy and mostly pram/wheelchair friendly until the very top which has a flight of stairs.

We visited during weekend and it was totally worth it. Whole day you can spend there and lot of activities ( like rope walk and bird watching place ) while walking on the bridge. At the end, the view from the top was just beautiful 👌

An amazing view of the forest from all angles. The Fall time was a good time to visit. The Tree Tower gives views you can't get of the forest anywhere else. The smell of the forest and seeing squirrels in real life was a treat!

Nice trail in the treetops! You are directly surrounded by trees and you have them within reach. It's definitely worth coming early in the morning for opening times, just so you can enjoy the trail almost to yourself. In the summer months there is a big crowd later on.

Very enjoyable visit today. Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking for museum visitors, have your ticket validated at the museum ticket desk. Only €5 for entry! A lot better value than other German car manufacturer museums. Great exhibits. A special R8 display at the moment. Discount for the restaurant also included. I think the coffee I had in the cafe was the best I’ve tasted in Germany. And a very nice lady running the bar and cafe. Also you can observe customers collecting their new Audi cars, here at the factory.

We visited the Audi Museum today and it was outstanding! First, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very helpful as well. The museum spans 3 floors. It covers the entire history of Audi with amazing cars that date back to the beginning. The cars on display are unreal. They also have motorcycles and some military vehicles. They also have a gift shop in the museum and another gift shop in one of the show rooms. We took the train from Munich and a short bus ride to the museum. Bus stop is right in front of the museum. Cost to enter is €5 per person which is an amazing price for this museum. We had a great time and loved our visit. Highly recommend!

Very welcoming staff. Their museum is not huge but has all what a fan can require. I was extremely lucky and they got to see and hear one of the Auto Union V16 from the 50s outside as they started up. What a thrill!!!! 100% recommended

A Must-Visit for Car Enthusiasts: Audi Forum Experience! The Audi Forum was a truly nice experience and a definite highlight for any car enthusiast! I absolutely loved the design of the building – it's an architectural marvel in itself. The showrooms were fantastic, showcasing an incredible range of cars that were a joy to explore. Just seeing all those vehicles up close was captivating. I highly recommend visiting! My only regret is not being able to do the factory tour, as it seems you need to buy tickets well in advance, perhaps even weeks ahead, so plan accordingly if that's on your list. Despite missing the factory tour, the overall experience was highly recommended!

Been wanted to visit this place for a very long time. Finally I did it and it really didnt disappoint. The history of the brand and the historical display is amazing. Spent almost the entire day reading all the description. Entry fees of 5 Euros well spent.

A very nice museum for autotomotive fans, with dozens of Audi models on display, and quite a bit of historic information and context. It's not as big or impressive as Mercedes or BMW's museums, but still great nontheless, with fewer crowds and also cheaper.

The Audi museum is much quieter than the bmw, mercedes, and Porsche museums that I also visited on this trip. It's slightly more substantial than the Porsche museum and similar to the bmw, except like the Porsche museum they let you get closer to the cars. The people here are much nicer than at the bmw, and for just 5€ entry you also get free parking. Factory tour is 9€ extra. Much better experience than the bmw museum and welt. Almost makes you want to buy another Audi, even though my old A8 gave me nightmares. Also 10% discount at their restaurant, which is well priced unlike some other places.

Good to visit both by ship - picturesque views of the Danube river. With car - there is a parking near. A part of Nature 2000. A very beautiful Church. There is also a museum. Delicious food. A bit crowded on weekends. I would recommend visiting on weekdays. Don’t forget the bathing suits.

Lucky to have been introduced to this place by a colleague. It's a bit hard to get here by public transportation. Beautiful place, exquisite views with one of the best draft beer i have had in Europe (or maybe i was just tired after the hike 🤪). Definitely visit this place if you can!

Wonderful place to go on a boat trip through the river. Beautiful views with a fresh breeze make an amazing afternoon. They are always making round trips with several stops to drop off/pick up passages and cyclists. Pet friendly and can be paid in the spot. Totally recommend!

The best tour guide ever. Gave a fantastic explanation of the church an absolute font of knowledge. Then had a beer and back on the boat.

The Abbey itself is stunning! We enjoyed walking the beautiful grounds, especially down on the banks of the Danube river. Too bad the beer garden is so crowded and the beer itself was not the best monk beer we have had in Germany by far. Overall, glad we stopped by for the gorgeous scenery.

Everything was good except for the small museum where all the text was available only in German. Cool to buy some beers from the oldest still active abbey brewery! The church was fantastic but you were not allowed to take any pictures in there. Don’t miss the architect who made a copy of himself looking down from the ceiling!

St. Peter’s Cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. The Gothic architecture is stunning, with soaring spires, intricate stonework, and beautiful stained glass windows that create a peaceful, awe-inspiring atmosphere inside. It’s hard not to be impressed by the history and craftsmanship. Even if you’re not typically into churches, this one is worth the stop. It’s right in the heart of Regensburg, so very easy to visit while exploring the old town. Highly recommend taking a few quiet moments inside—truly a highlight of the city.

Massive pure Gernan gothic church that was built from the end of the 13th to the beginning of the 16th century using the architecture of French cathedrals as an example. The inside is dark and has beautiful details like the silver altar. The stained glass windows from the 13th and 14th century are impressive and the most extensive, still preserved, collection of medieval stained glass in the German-speaking world. An interesting detail was a large waterwell with a hoist and bucket inside the church which was used as a secure source of water for the clergy, cathedral staff and cleaning.

The cathedral is truly impressive! A magnificent structure that’s hundreds of years old. I can’t even say whether I liked it more from the outside or the inside. Every day in summer, the organ plays at noon, it’s absolutely amazing! An architectural masterpiece that definitely deserves attention. The only downside is that the exterior has been under renovation for many years.

Learned so much about German history from our Viking excursion to Regensburg Cathedral. Great experience. Today was the 75 anniversary of Caritas and St. Josef Hospital celebrated with bishop Rudolf and former cathedral choir member (Regensburger Domspatzen). Usually the holy mass is starting on Sundays at 10 a.m. Be early enough there to get a place!

Regensburg is a charming old city and this bridge is its emblem. It was built over 800 years ago. It offers splendid sights over the Danube. Lots of people go there, as well as on a picnic around it on the banks of the river. There are ducks living around too.

Regensburg is a romantic and a very beautiful city. The bridge area is a very dynamic area with a lot of people, many souvenir shops, terraces of all kinds. The atmosphere in summer is super pleasant.

A beautiful bridge built in the Middle Ages with many arches across the Danube river. On both side of the river are the many tourist attractions and eateries. We came during some kind of festival and so fun to see so many people dressed up in the traditional clothings.

A car free bridge for pedestrians and bicyclists offers a spectacular view of the city. This 12th century bridge faces the Danube. It’s even more stunning at night.

Go on a Sunday. It's less touristy and you can do a short walk for just about an hour around the place, take good photos and leave for other towns nearby.

We visited Regensburg for the 2024 Christmas market season. The old town is very walkable. We were able to visit all the Christmas markets on foot including the small market just across the bridge. We had the best pork sandwich with horseradish at this tiny market. One of the best things we ate during our 9 day Christmas market trip. Took this beautiful photo from the bridge.

The musical fountain was opened in May 2025 after reconstruction. It is very beautiful. We were there at 7 pm.

One of the most interesting attractions. Beautiful place and par around. In summer the best option is to go there after dark, because you will see a light show, not just music

Set in a beautiful park with statues and fountains this would have been the icing on the cake but unfortunately it stopped on 1st September and doesn’t start up again until next May.

Great to see this fountain working after couple of years being repaired and improved. Good shows with music are played every few hours.

Really lovely experience. Performances on the hour apart from 8pm (20.00). There was quite a crowd for the 21.00 show so get there about 15 mins earlier. Would recommend the after dark shows.

Diana Observation Tower is a must-see attraction in Karlovy Vary! Not only does it offer stunning panoramic views of the city and surrounding forests, but the entire area is peaceful and beautifully maintained. After enjoying the scenery from the top, you can relax at one of the lovely cafés nearby — a perfect place to sip coffee, enjoy a snack, and take in the fresh mountain air. A truly delightful experience for nature lovers and travelers alike!

Well worth it. Take a lift or take a short walk. The view from the tower is absolutely fantastic. Expect heavy wind, take a jumper.

Beautiful observation tower with restaurant below and a mini zoo. You can ride the Diana funicular from Kolonáda directly to here. You can also hike the hill with 1.1 km moderate trail.

The Diana Observation Tower is one of the most beautiful spots in Karlovy Vary! The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire town surrounded by lush green hills. The ride up by funicular is scenic and relaxing, and there’s a lovely forest walk if you prefer hiking. The café near the tower is cozy and perfect for a short break. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Karlovy Vary!

Beautiful 360 degree view of the region. There's also a small, budget-friendly kiosk selling street food and drinks in front of the tower. If you don't have any serious limitations, I suggest getting a one-way ticket. Take the funicular up and walk down while enjoying the view. Observation tower itself is free. You pay for the funicular.

Beautiful walk, you can also owe the monorail to go up and the tower has an elevator. I drank a beer at the restaurant down. And visited the butterflies museum!

Beautiful way to look at Karlovy Vary. Keep in mind that during fall/winter times fog is a quite often guest so you won't see much till around midday. Worth visiting, free and well-maintained observation point with a restaurant nearby

The Hot Spring Colonnade is home to Vřídlo—the hottest and most famous spring in Karlovy Vary, and usually the first stop on the town’s "spa trail." The water here reaches an impressive 74.4°C and shoots up as a powerful geyser inside the glass building. ⛲️ While the spring itself is fascinating, I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the building’s heavy, almost communist-era vibe—something a few other visitors have also pointed out. That said, it’s still a must-see. You can also learn some interesting facts inside—like how the local mineral water is used to produce unique stone souvenirs by letting minerals slowly solidify over time. Definitely worth a quick visit as part of your spa town experience!

Karlovy Vary is a super peaceful little hilly town with beautiful landscape. Super amazing place..so many hot springs..do not forget to take a vessel with u to drink that natural mineral water.. it's tingy but good for health. Beautiful cafes along the river Tepla serving great food.

The Goethe museum costs pp € 13 pp. The Wohnung was to us the most interesting part. The other part of the museum contains many objects owned by Goethe among which several portraits. That part of the museum is definitely interesting but also has a somewhat hagiographic nature.

I really enjoyed this experience, especially having the app to lead you through the house was amazing. Genius to have it play when you hold your phone up to your ear! Also, the backyard was extremely beautiful and it really made you feel like you walked in the same house as Goethe, it was beautiful.

Very interesting life and he had a big house with many different rooms with specific purposes. Take the audioguide for sure, which is included in the ticket price. 1:30 to 3:00 to complete it depending how fast you go.

Amazing how they managed to build this beautiful bridge with the shops and apartments so many years ago before there was any modern machinery! The fact that it is still standing after all these decades is a marvel! I loved the whole experience!

Really cool that one can be walking down the street without even realizing being on the Merchant's bridge. Definitely take a moment to walk outside and see the bridge then walk back through - really cool. There are a lot of little plazas around to stop and relax with a lot of little ice cream shops within a small area.

The Krämerbrücke in Erfurt is the longest bridge in Europe that is completely covered with inhabited buildings. It spans the Gera River and connects Benediktsplatz with Wenigemarkt in the heart of the old town. At the entrance, a welcoming entrance with an airy crypt with heating. On the first floor there was a film that explains the entire history from the origins in the early 1800s to the present day. Viewing is recommended. Then you climb up to the first internal cornice, which is very overhanging. You then climb to the upper floors, and then you reach the first external cornice located under the feet of the statues that can be seen from outside. You can take the elevator up to that level. From there, you climb to the highest part of the building with a very narrow but well-made stone staircase. A visit is recommended to better understand the history of the city. A stunning monument that witnessed through its history empires, kingdoms and republics coming and going…. A must see by everyone who loves history! Fabulous views to the city as well as relaxing beautiful park!

Great experience with a rich history. I chose a non audio self tour and would highly recommend this. It's a place of reflection and would rather go undisturbed. The staircase to the top is steep though. Just so you know 😉

If you had only one thing to do in Leipzig, please visit this place. This monument is the tallest in all of Europe and it commemorates the war that broke Napoleon. No tickets required

This intense and impressive monument is a MUST SEE if you are in Leipzig. The scale is stunning and is reminiscent of the Mines of Moria in Lord of the Rings. There are multiple lifts but if you want to get to the top viewing area, you have to use the stairs and it is a little walk. No bad, but most people emerged a little winded and sweaty. The sweeping views of Leipzig are great and, if you go on a sunny day, you can see many miles/kilometers in every direction. Highly recommended.

A really impressive monument. It really makes you feel the enormity of the event being memorialized much like the World War I monument in Kansas City. There was a feeling of heaviness about the monument and it made me feel retrospective. A very nice visit. A stroll through the cemetery nextdoor is also warranted.

the monument to the battle of the nations in leipzig is a massive, seriously impressive monument commemorating napoleon's defeat in the 1813 battle. it's one of europe's largest, and you can climb to the top for panoramic views of leipzig. inside, the huge stone figures are really powerful. it's a bit outside the city center but easily reached by tram and definitely worth a visit for its history and scale

Biggest train stations in Europe lots of stores and restaurants to choose from that are mostly all good plus a lot of railways definitely a place to visit for tourists from Germany or other countries.

The largest in Europe.. 😍 Best train station I have been! 👌 With multiple railways and connecting Trips to offer.. A Subway can also be found in this big trainstation... And no worry for having a long connecting Trips, a mall is also within the Station. Various Restaurants and Shops available..

So far the nicest Bahnhof I've seen in Germany, always busy with people passing through and people just coming to shop. As it houses so many great stores to shop in over 3 levels with so many things to see and amazing food options. You can't come to leipzig without seeing it as it is the main train station. Even made more lovely around Christmas or as they say Weinachten, as lots more food stalls open up.

This station is very big, but it is really easy to find the way. Electronic devices such as ticket machines, th e screens are well thought and useful

Beautiful Christmas decorations inside of the building, which adds up to the uniqueness of the historical building.

This Is the most amazing zoo I've ever been to. It's so big with the kids. We could only see a portion of it, but the jungle experience especially with the boat ride was so cool. All of the exhibits are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the zoo. Easily one of the best zoos in the world.

Beautiful zoo with a rich variety of animals and habitats! Especially Gondwanaland was amazing giving you the feeling of actually being in the jungle!( don’t forget to get on the little boat trip, super cheap and worth the experience). Love, Greece!!!🇬🇷❤️

Leipzig Zoo is one of the best zoos I‘ve ever visited. Large enclosures. Many events throughout the day. Amazing infrastructure (you can find maps, sign posts, and directions for a tour that leads you through the entire zoo everywhere). They also don’t solely focus on the animals as mere entertainment but seek to inform kids in playful ways about preservation/biology/even physics in the aquarium. Leipzig Zoo also provides a variety of restaurants and snack bars that are evenly distributed across the entire Zoo. I wholly recommend visiting, whether alone or with friends and family. It’s an amazing and informative experience!

Best zoo in Germany especially with huge greenhouse of tropical forest and self moving boats along river with warm climate. Highly recommended for both adults and children alike

This zoo park was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. There is so much to see and you should have water with you because food and water prices there is too expensive. WC is free which is very good. And I suggest you guys to go early there, zoo opens at 9 am and closes at 7pm. As I mentioned earlier there is lot to see so you probably will need some rest. And one good thing about this zoo park is that you see animals without any borders and it is kind of crazy but it is safe. So enjoy with your trip everyone.

Zoo Leipzig is a great place to visit with kids. The grounds are very clean with almost no smell, and there are nice play and climbing facilities for children. A fun and family-friendly zoo experience!

This zoo is arguably the best in Europe. The animals have the freedom to roam, creating a more natural environment, and plenty of dining options are available. Don’t miss the chance to watch the monkeys and explore Gondwanaland. It's truly a fantastic spot for some quality time with your children.

The old town is dominated by the castle and church on the hill. The district is perfect for strolling through half-timbered houses and winding lanes. From the castle grounds there are views over the jumble of roofs and spires of Quedlinburg as well as the surrounding countryside and towards the Harz.

Beautiful castle with spectacular views of Wernigerode and Harz mountains. Very busy during my visit & somewhat disorganized. Could only find paid parking nearby with additional expense for a shuttle bus. However, there are several shuttle bus companies and you can't tell which is which until the driver kicks you off. But, still a nice place to visit.

Beautiful beautiful castle! Absolutely worth the visit. It has such a special atmosphere. There’s not much to see inside, but the view of the city from the top and inside courtyard are stunning. We were there on Sunday, end September, and there was no line.

Now, let me say this loud and clear: take the uphill walk to the castle if you can! Sure, there are shuttle buses and other ways to get there, but where’s the adventure in that? 😄 Brace your leg muscles and lungs — the incline is real! 🥵 But trust me, it’s the most rewarding option. It adds a touch of effort, a dash of cardio, and a full dose of “I earned this view!” Once you reach the top, all the huffing and puffing pays off. The castle is beautiful, the views are spectacular, and the photo ops are endless. Whether you're into history, architecture, or just soaking in amazing scenery — this place has it all. Pro tip: Go early or late in the day to avoid crowds and heat. Bring water, good shoes, and a bit of adventurous spirit!

Worth the walk uphill. Go early to beat the crowds. Enjoy a beer at the cafe inside. It’s a lot quieter than the one outside. On the walk down I took a detour on some of the paths. Very green and beautiful woods.

I took the train/ mine option and greatly enjoyed the ride and temperature change (it was hot outside). Although the tour was in German I was able to infer as it is a very visual and interactive tour. The tour guide was really good. Hard to believe what these workers had to go through to earn a living. An amazing experience I would highly recommend! It's rare to get to walk in the shoes and take the same mine train the miners took back in the day, deep into the depths of this mine and UNESCO World Heritage site. The rest of the museum and exhibitions are also interesting but the mine rail tour is a must!

Very impressive! It was for me the first time to visit a mine like this, it feels you go back in time! The groups weren't that big, so you could see a lot of the mine. It was quite cold, so wear warm clothes. The train underground was an amazing experience!

Very deceiving for such an emblematic place. It is still a quite impressive place full of history which is nice to see. I expected more... First of all, there is no tour in English. For a UNESCO world heritage site, you will expect at least one tour in English. For the museum part, it is interesting but everything is disorganised and it is not appealing. Some parts are only in German. I hope one day, this place would be made more accessible for non-german speakers.

I recently visited the Rammelsberg Ore Mines with my husband and had an incredible experience. We took the guided tour in English, called the Röder Stollen, led by Mr. Christian Etzrodt. He was super friendly and humorous, making the entire journey interesting and engaging. I really appreciate him going out of the way to add fun to the tour. It was an amazing and adventurous experience, and I highly recommend his tour. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful (she helped us choose the appropriate tour), as was the lovely lady at the shop. Overall, it was a fantastic visit! We really enjoyed the experience. Oh, yes! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. You would need to walk a lot and climb steep steps. Would not recommend this tour to people with claustrophobia, nyctophobia, panic disorder, breathing issues, pregnancy, etc. It is colder and dark and might be a bit slippery. P.S. I personally give bonus points for the "Stimmungsring" at the shop, haha

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

Go to the elbphilharmonie and watch the beautiful view of the port of Hamburg and entrance is free, if you have kids you can use the lift, if you boat trip at night is a bonus and costs around 20€, then a bus trip during the day also costed around 18€ for 2 hours and I must say everything was worth it

One of the favorite places for a sunday stroll. Plenty things to see. Make sure to catch the ferry 62 for a round trip on the river allowing you to see things from different perspective. Moreover there are plenty of places to eat a nice "Fischbrötchen"!

Wooooow! Amazing place with a unique experience that lets you walk through different parts of the globe. I loved how much attention to detail was put into everything, and the design often includes funny little scenarios—like taking a bath with a penguin or the sheep pyramid! It’s incredibly creative, yet the landscapes still feel realistic. The night and day versions of the cities are a very cool twist. Also, all the robotics and technology behind the functioning train system—without any crashes—is mind-blowing. I especially enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition. One thing to note: it’s a huge place to explore, so plan your visit accordingly to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without rushing from room to room. It can also get quite busy, so be patient and dedicate a full day if possible. There’s a café and food area if you want to take a break during your visit. Definitely recommend it! I’d love to come back and get even more lost in the details.

Absolutely one of the best attractions in Hamburg — and honestly, one of the most impressive exhibits I’ve ever seen. Miniatur Wunderland is massive and filled with astonishing detail. Most Germanic (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) countries and regions have their own area, complete with moving trains, planes, ships, lights, and tiny human stories happening everywhere you look. You could easily spend 3–4 hours here and still not catch everything. It’s not just for model train fans — it’s for anyone who appreciates creativity, craftsmanship, and a bit of magic. The nighttime lighting effects, airports, and little surprises hidden throughout make it incredibly fun for both kids and adults. It can get crowded, so I recommend booking a time slot early in the morning or later in the evening if you can. There’s a café inside with good snacks and drinks for a quick break between sections. Truly a must-see — whether you’re visiting Hamburg for a day or a week, Miniatur Wunderland is worth every minute.

Fantastic venue. Everything feels grounded and made by people who know what visitors will want to have or need. The exhibition itself is spectacular. Lots of details and stories are told ... Sometimes very hidden. Food is fine. Okay price. Reminded me of IKEA. There could be more washrooms. Also, the regular ticket isn't valid for reentry. That's a bit of a bummer since opening hours are until 1am.

Wanted to see this for years and now I've ticked it iff my bucket list! This is hands down the BEST minature railway and car layout you'll ever see! So much to see, you can easily spend all day here! Don't bring the missus, that will only reduce your fun! Definitely get tickets in advance, they sell out quick!

Its easy to see why this is fast becoming the top attraction in Hamburg. Its so much fun and that's consistent with everyone whonis wondering about around you. So much detail that ypu definitely need a visit to the bistro to allow your eyes and brain to catch up. Fantastic day out for everyone. Go. You will be talking about it for a while to come.

As a model railway enthusiast, I have been looking forward to coming to Hamburg to visit Miniatur Wunderland and the truth is that it worth it! I was delighted with the visit and I want to congratulate the whole team for all the impressive work that goes into every part of the model! The technique, the operation, the quality of the details, I love everything in general, especially the airport!! I also really enjoyed being able to eat in the Miniatur Wunderland restaurant. I am sure that in the future I will definitely visit this wonderful place again!

Variety and overcrowd in such a narrow tunnel, and amazingly remained order. We took ship tour instead of strolling along the pier. Thereby we could have an overall idea about the harbor area and came with some great buildings to appreciate. For instance, Elbphilharmonie ! 🙂

Beautiful spot next to the South entrance of the Alter Elb Tunnel, and perfect if you want a panoramic view to the Hamburg waterfront on the North Side. If you’re up for it, you can also go and see the other photo spot next to the “Stage Theater An Der Elbe”, 20 minutes on foot. That will bring you closer to the Elbphilharmonie building.

One of the best hidden gems in Hamburg! You can walk here through the historic Elbtunnel or take a short ferry ride from Landungsbrücken. Once there, you get an amazing panoramic view of the harbor, the Elbphilharmonie, and the city skyline. Perfect spot for a quiet break, photos, or just watching ships go by. It’s peaceful and not too touristy. Highly recommend if you’re exploring the harbor area!

Easy to get here via the Elbtunnel (absolutely worth a visit) or a short ferry ride (included in the hvv day ticket). The view is really cool but partially obstructed. It would be ideal if the observation platform could be elevated and widened a bit. Otherwise an amazing view of the Hamburg skyline.

Or was a unique experience walking 450meters under the sea level in the tunnel originally constructed in 1911😍. Going up and down in such huge lifts is cool😇. The view of the port on Elbe on the other side of the tunnel is just wow. 😘

The shopping selection is impressive and well-organized, with something for every taste and budget. Food wise, it’s functional rather than fantastic but enough to keep you going. Don’t expect a culinary highlight. A well-maintained and pleasant place for a day of bargain hunting (weather permitting).

I arrived early in the morning at Designer Outlet Neumünster, when all the shops were still closed and the place was quiet. The calm before the shopping rush gave me a chance to really take in the spacious layout and the modern design of the outlet. Located on Oderstraße 10, it’s about 45 minutes by car from Hamburg, and you can also get there by train from Hamburg Dammtor to Neumünster with a transfer, which takes around 1.5 hours. Even before the shops opened at 10 am, I noticed the huge parking area with plenty of spots, including premium and electric vehicle charging stations. The outlet hosts over 120 designer stores offering discounts up to 70%, featuring brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Woolrich, and Zwilling. I was excited to come back later and explore all the fashion, accessories, and more. The peaceful morning also gave me a moment to appreciate the cafes and restaurants that would soon fill with visitors. It felt like a perfect blend of convenience and style, making it clear why this spot is a favorite for both locals and travelers looking for great deals near Hamburg. If you’re coming without a car, the best way is to take the train from Hamburg Dammtor to Neumünster, then a short bus or taxi ride to the outlet. It’s an easy trip and well worth it for a day of shopping and relaxing in a clean, welcoming environment.

I recommend a WHOLE day here. It's really worth seeing all the stores, we spent 4.5 hours there and it wasn't enough. Coach, Aigner, Joop Mixed with Levi, Marco Polo , Wrangler ... A mix of high end brands and affordable brands. Highly recommend 🥳

This is probably the number 1 attraction in the area, and yet you don't need to be there long, and it definitely stirs mixed emotions. On the one hand, it's really cool to get to walk through a submarine, the engineering, the equipment, the pipes and valves, the electrics and communication, etc. are all fascinating. So, too, is a view of how the crew slept and ate in such a cramped space. But then the sombre thought that these guys were killing your guys, never really leaves you. Lest we forget.

A fantastic visit to the U-995 submarine in Laboe! An educational and informative experience about naval history and World War II. The submarine is clean and well-organized, with clear explanations. Perfect for families and history enthusiasts.

The Uboat gives an excellent insight to the life on the narrow boat during second worldwar and after. It is amazing to see how tight these places have been.

GeoCenter Møns Klint is a nice educational centre focusing on the Møns Klint area, it hosts exhibitions and activities. Onsite there are play areas, washrooms, cafeteria and gift shop.

It was a great hike (Tour 5) that we did. I really like the rugged and wild coast there. You should plan on spending half a day there, but more is fine too. From the seaside it is also amazing, tours are starting from Klintholm Havn

No wonder it has became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stunning natural wonder, with a Museum and activities that allows you to understand the factors behind this wonder. We also did the Tour 5, with two kids, 6 and 8. Smaller kids could also do it, bit forget about Strollers.

I can highly recommend the Geocenter. In combination with a walk/hike at the cliffs, a very exiting and diverse day. The museum is very interactive, interesting and family friendly. When you are interested a bit in geology and nature, you will like it. Parking is 6 Euro per day, the entrance is a bit expensive but worth it.

One of the most visited sites in Denmark - for a reason. A great geological site to bring your kids for an exiting hike and experience. Look for fossils on the beach or awe the 70 million year old limestone cliffs raise from the sea.

Would have rated it with more stars but the new experience of seeing tigers and lions is not good. There is very less chance of seeing those animals. Not from the bridge nor from the panoramic window. The good parts are the dinosaur forest experience and the 2 roller coasters for the thrill.

Hopefully this review can help the park make some improvements. The plus side is that you are able to get quite close to the animals and see savanna wildlife in a beautiful setting. The down sides are worth keeping in mind should you plan a family trip there. We stayed there overnight for a quite substantial amount of money for 2 adults and one 7 year old - approx 900 euros. Barely any staff available in the park. Poor directions and signage to drive around. Would be helpful to get a recommended order for the visit. And more info on the animals. In the tent, you are expected to wash, dry and put away your dishes with the threat of a 60 euro fine should you miss doing that. Empty your trash. Put on and take away your bed linen just to mention a few things that you would expect to be included when paying that much for 1 night. The food we ordered to prepare in the tent was bland. Compared to skanes djurpark in Sweden I would say you get much less for your money. I wrote a review for that too so anyone can check it out. It’s a pity because it’s such a beautiful sanctuary.

We’ve been to the park a few times and it never lets us down. The park is massive and there’s lots to see and discover. You can bring your own food or eat at the various points in the park dedicated to it, apart from the animals that stroll freely on huge terrains there’s also a big kiddy’s park at the bottom that if you go at the designated hours there’s a small rollercoaster and the water log ride included in the entrance price( that if you buy it online you save 30% off the price ) . Very recommended.

Great place. Kind and service minded staff. We rented a cabin for 4 days. Bring food whit you, if you rent a cabin. There are many picknic tables around the park. So you can bring food whit you on a daily trip also. If you rent a cabin gate close at 17:00 and you can't drive in or out. But you can walk around the park and some hours drive around. Great place for family. We was here in end of season.(October) a little cold, but it's was okey.

It’s a like in the wild experience. It’s really a big park so you’ll need to have your car to go around and see the animals, there are also places you can walk to see other animals. Better start the tour in the morning if you’re planning for just a day trip but they also offer accommodation for families. There’s also different activities for kids. 🫶🏻💕

Absolutely fantastic experience. The animals roam free and there are plenty to see. For me the highlight was the dinosaur museum! With a collection of real bones from the biggest dinosaurs, you get to feel small next to these huge creatures. Would highly recommend. And remember to buy tickets online

The cathedral’s sheer historical significance is staggering. It’s the final resting place of over 40 Danish monarchs, including Queen Margrethe I and King Christian IV. Walking through its chapels feels like stepping back in time - each one reflects the artistic styles and political shifts of the era in which it was built. A true marvel of a cathedral, a burial place for many Danish kings. We took a tour that took as to the cathedral on a bus. We arrived right before the opening, and the whole place without crowds that appeared a short while later. The place is rich in history but a tour guide really helps to appreciate that. Otherwise it may look like a regular church.

I live in Rome. Many people from all over the world come here. I know our beauties, yet Roskilde Cathedral is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. It's full of imposing, celebratory monuments. What you feel, standing there, is the solemnity of the Danish kingdom.

This cathedral is definitely worth visiting. The interior architectural is beautiful and this place holds so many of the kings grave and they are so beautiful!!! The entrance ticket is also more reasonable than the other places of interest...

Not far from the Roskilde Station. Going into Roskilde Cathedral feels like walking straight into the past. This is where Danish kings and queens have been buried for hundreds of years. You'll walk past royal tombs some in fancy and beautiful stone bed for a queen or king. The real "design" highlight is the royal chapels, which are like small museums themselves. Each one was built in a different time period, so you see everything from medieval wall paintings to huge, dramatic Baroque and Renaissance tombs.

At the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, you’ll see the real Viking history — quite literally in pieces. The remains of five original Viking ships are displayed here, each with its own story of sea voyages, trade, and warfare. There are guided tours and activities running throughout the day, so it’s worth checking the schedule when you arrive. The guide shares the fascinating history behind the five ships that were discovered just a stone’s throw from here, in Roskilde Fjord. For those feeling hands-on, there’s a small workshop where you can try building your own miniature Viking ship. The kids especially loved hammering and sawing away. I had signed up for the sailing tour, where you get to sail on a Viking ship and even help raise the sail as part of the crew. Unfortunately, only four of us showed up out of the ten tickets sold — the rain kept the rest away. Without enough people for the weight balance, the trip had to be cancelled. Safe to say, I was pretty disappointed — it’s not every day you get to sail like a Viking. There’s also a restaurant by the museum. I tried the Viking platter — decent, but nothing to shout about.

Not far from the Copenhagen, about 30 mins train ride. Just a reminder, you have to walk about 30-40 mins from Roskilde Station to the Viking Museum. Arrived at the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum around mid morning. There are two areas: first inside the agreat Hall, you'll see the five ancient Skuldelev ships in somewhat in skeletons forms. You'll feel a quiet awe just looking at their thousand-year-old remains. Second part is the outside where you'll see a beautiful place view with tons of boats. Tons of things to do outside, you can watch boatbuilders meticulously crafting replica ships in the boatyard. You can also sail out on the fjord in one of the reconstructed longships, sadly no more available slots for the day. If you have the budget and you'd like to fully experience, I suggest to pre book before going. Since we went during summer (end of August) you are allowed to climb aboard other replicas at the harbor, even try on Viking clothes. Overall it's a full experience.

One of the most important attractions and museums during the visit to Copenhagen (40minutes by train). Staff are so welcoming with smile. Cinematography short movie in many languages will help a lot to understand the museum. The workshops outside will show you how the V-boats were built. Don’t miss it

A world-class and unique experience which is a must-visit if you're coming to Copenhagen as it's brilliant and only a 30-minute ride on the train (which is cheap and very frequent). See several recovered Viking long ships, discover about the different types and how they were built and used and then see expert craftspeople making replicas for experimental archaeology - sailing them to see how the Vikings would have used them. You can also become part of a crew in a small longboat close to the centre. And kids can design and make their own boat in wood with hand tools. Free tours in Danish and English by students are good and friendly. The venue hosts special exhibitions downstairs in the main hall. Several places to eat and drink on-site. Medium-size car park. If walking from the town train station, it's a pleasant and mostly flat walk. The shop has lots of Danish culture things to buy as well as stuff related to the Vikings. All staff friendly and helpful.

This museum is an incredible place filled with authentic Viking ships, fascinating artifacts, and tons of interesting facts about the Vikings. Both children and adults will find plenty to explore and enjoy. During my visit, there was a blacksmith workshop where a skilled craftsman demonstrated traditional forging techniques. There was also a shipbuilding area where craftsmen were using hand tools to build seaworthy Viking ships — a truly impressive sight. For kids, there’s a small hands-on workshop where they can build their own miniature ships from scrap wood and test them in a water pool. There’s also a replica of a Viking household, complete with Viking clothing you can try on and a play area for children. The museum also has an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. And best of all — if the weather is good, you can join the crew of a real Viking ship replica and sail out to sea. An unforgettable experience!

I was a bit sceptical at first when i read its about one Viking boat restored. But there are 5 of them, and , whats more they have been fully rebuilt and are available even to step-in at the port next to the museum ! I learnt a lot from the short film in the museum. Go to the boat workshop at the port - they are just building a new boat, using old traditional tools, and you can chat with craftsmen. It was Worth a visit/trip from Copenhagen.

Roskilde Viking ship museum is a fantastic place. The museum has the excavated remains of Viking vessels, with activities for kids. Outside are reconstructed vessels and workshops where they are experimentally building new Viking vessels. Good facilities and cafes, free entry with a Copenhagen card and easily signposted from Roskilde train station. Well worth a visit.
