Absolutely beautiful gardens, river, lake and waterfalls. As an added bonus, it's free to park at the designated carpark for up to 4 hours: best get there early to be sure of a space! Whilst a small museum it's bigger than it looks. Lots of vintage things set about and well displayed. Place is run by volunteers all of which were friendly and nice as well as being passionate. Cafe was accommodating for gluten free and didn't make a fuss so that was also a nice touch. Some exhibits could do with a slight revamp to bring in the fresh blood but despite that it was still a cracking little museum worthy of going to visit. If you're into your vintage nostalgic cars and bikes or even just the walking back through time this is something right up your street. Really enjoyed my visit. Thanks to the staff

Had a great visit here the place is small but packed with different vehicles. The food was great and a good price and the staff were very friendly.

One of the most exciting and friendly places to go if you are into history or love classic cars, trucks and bikes. Fantastic volunteers and staff, friendly atmosphere and café inside. One time ticket purchase gives you access for a year, sometimes there are events held like the classic bike show last weekend! It was excellent.

Excellent surprisingly large museum, well presented with fascinating range of exhibits. The enthusiasm of the team is infectious, and the cafe definitely worth a visit too. Their collections are displayed with informative notice boards, and presented such that you can readily access sections that are of most interest to you. Outside there is plenty of space for specialist marque clubs and events, which added further interest and value to us on the day of our visit.

My family and I visited back in November and again today, as initial entrance fee is valid for the entire year. This is excellent value for money, and the volunteers have done an amazing job to make this place look great. My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. Even if your not particularly into motor vehicles, this museum is still an absolute gem. The museum displays include vehicles of all kinds, shops which you actually walk into and upstairs. Our favourite sections were being allowed upstairs on the double decker tour bus, model railway (which is huge) and when it's available- using the fire engine hose to knock down targets! Well done to all the volunteers that make this place such a great day out.

Lovely quiet place to stay we stayed for 2 weeks.We had nice walks to st margaret's bay. It's a bit hilly but you can follow the coast road right by the white cliffs. The accommodation is normal caravan holidays but ours was very comfy food in club was ok enjoyed the noodles they were tasty. swimming pools were brillant and they have adult only in the morning. The local pup the smugglers are friendly and food is A1 all in all a very enjoy able holiday would use parkdean again very helpfull

Got there and went to my "Bungalow" the website said it had its own parking, which it did not, that was one of the reason's why I booked it. The Staff said they have never had its own parking, so god only kows why the Parkdean website said it. They did say they would get the website updated. stayed in number 50. Where to start, Apart from the leccy Bathroom Radiator been on all the time, but very small. so towel drying was a joke the Rest of them was on 2 or 4 hour timers, the front room was only 2 hours max. So you would wake up and go into a cold room, I went in Nov 2025 so not the best time of year The bedroom ones only allowed upto 4 hours of heat, so again not great Now the timer had a bright blue light, which lite the bedroom up, so that was annoying. And as blue led's are one of the most dangerous colours to the human eyes, not the greatest. And the fact both bedroom ones made some strange ticking type sound, Been Autistic I use white noise to sleep, and this ticking sound was louder than that, so that did my head in and I had to turn the heating off. The Cooker was broken the light to say it had reached temp was missing, so hit and miss. Bathroom extractor fan never worked, the sink had something missing, its like a small trap that you can lift up and down to allow you to fill the sink up or epmty it, so if you dropped something into it, you would lose it. Also you could not sit down on the Toilet without having the toilet roll and holder been in the way. Net curtains over only the windows in the front living area, NOT THE DOOR so no Privacy, had to close curtains when going out, just so people could not look in No lights on the front of the bungalow area ( yes auto light on the side) but bright LED street lamp on the back where the bedrooms are so that also came in on a night time while trying to sleep. The hedge on the way out of the site, if you had the nerve to be turing right, you had to pull out into the road, just to see past the hedge to see if it was clear, does not look bad in the picture bit it was I have never had breakfast at one of these sites, so we gave it a go, Turned up at 9:04am, told nothing cooked as they had only opened at 9:00am, which is fair enough, but then had to wait 50 minutes to get the Breakfast. The Glass was vey old and covered in marks, like no salt in the dishwasher type marks The beans where luke warm but the rest of the meal was fine On the day we left, my Son forgot his house key for where he lives, and they called me and said they would post it back to me, and said they would put it in an envelope and it would get posted back to me, which i was thinking that was nice of them but Today 6 days later, still no letter with Key and after I called the site, The woman got a bit mardy, saying that the staff only work part time and they would have to do it in their own time and also post it in their own time back to me. Which is not what I was told on the day they called me Then we went in both pools the small one has steps/ladder that are loose and moved when you stepped on them, the main pool was not much better not fixed right at all Hot water was a joke too, only enough for half a sink full, then nothing for hours while it heated up again

What a fantastic relaxing stay !! Been using Parkdean Parks for many years in Cornwall when visiting family and this is the first time we’ve stayed in a different park. I can honestly say that it is the best we’ve stayed at and was exactly what we were hoping for. Love the pools, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The park is quiet and very clean, with friendly helpful staff. Our caravan was really clean and in a perfect position for us. We love the park so much, we’re thinking about buying a caravan or bungalow so we can make it a more regular place to be when not working

We stayed in October and loved the Park, a great location for exploring the coast around Dover. We upgraded to a Prestige Lodge which was very comfortable, with plenty of room for 3 people! We found the beds comfy, and it was nice having 2 bathrooms. The site was small and quiet which suited us. The facilities were good with a pool and sauna. Wish we'd stayed longer!

Had a Lovely Caravan stay.Very clean on arrival. The park was in a Lovely setting for a Break and near some interesting places to visit. The staff were friendly. We had a check from the Housekeeping staff one day into our holiday to make sure we were happy with everything

Was quite a good serene location. Peaceful. They created activities that will make kids enjoy their stay. E.g aquajet, Waterwalker. etc. Staff member were quite helpful. Location- You can board a ferry 1 hour to France for the day. 41, miles from sandy beach. Would need to drive to enjoy your stay here Did not use gym, but looks okay. Hot tub seem quite old. Seem like a very old park. Some features looks dated, but good

Fantastic park, small and quiet not like the bigger ones. Ideal for our family. We had a great time here. Fabulous swimming pool and facilities and great evening entertainment.

This lighthouse is managed by National Trust and as always has a lovely set of volunteers who are very polite and friendly. The lighthouse tour is one I will recommend. They provide a very informative and absorbing story telling session. Views of the English channel and surrounding areas from the lighthouse are absolutely stunning. The site has a shop, tea rooms and toilet facilities. Parking for NT members is about a mile away, but the walk is beautiful.

The lighthouse is a little underwhelming, but the walk there and back from Devon is gorgeous. Grateful thanks to the NT for acquiring and preserving this spectacular coast line. Good foot path and well signposted. Its about an hour of moderate walking each way.

We had a great tour of the lighthouse, the current lighthouse, built in the 1840s, was the first in the world to use an electric light and a key site for pioneering wireless communication, free for National Trust members. There is only 1 way two get there, and that is two walk, but there are 2 different car parks to choose though, that is the National Trust white cliffs car park or St Margaret's village, it was a lovely walk from the National Trust car park, and don't forget to visit the 2 other great National Trust sites on the way, Fan bay deep shelter and Wanstone Gun Battery.

Great location for a Pitstone if you walked the trail. The lighthouse itself is interesting to visit plus grabbing some refreshments and chilling with the fantastic channel views on a sunny day is just perfect.

While hiking the White Cliffs of Dover, we made a stop in to grab a quick cuppa tea and a snack. It’s a great little light house with an amazing view! We had the cream tea service. First time for me and it was delicious! It’s a nice half way point for a great hike and a nice little stop and visit. Go check it out and meet the tea room crew!

This hidden gem on the south coast is absolutely magnificent and I cannot recommend it enough. I love the way that you have to hike about 50 minutes from the visitor centre to get there which gives you a real sense of adventure. The tickets for the tour are very reasonably priced and you get to see all the different levels and learn about the role they played in the day to day running of the lighthouse. As well as the day to day work to ensure the safety of shipping in the vicinity, there was also pioneering work done here in the development of radio and electricity. There are fascinating artefacts, stunning views out over the channel, mesmerising machinery and passionate National Trust staff that will make sure you have a really great time. There is a cafe, gift shop and toilets, picnic benches, deck chairs - everything you might need.

Stunning!! So peaceful and well maintained. Could do with the information desk/shop to be at the entrance instead of the exit! No toilet facilities I have seen neither which always helps. It is lovely to visit a church that is open to the public. Something that you rarely see in England unless it is a big city.

The Cathedral Notre-Dame is absolutely worth a visit. The church itself is grand and impressive, with a unique and restored dome that really sets it apart from other cathedrals I've seen. What truly stood out, though, were the crypts underneath—also recently restored and incredibly atmospheric. The scale and detail of the underground chambers are breathtaking and give a real sense of the history and depth of the place. A must-see if you're in the area!

What a stunning place 😍 We visited the crypt and the church. The crypt cost 6€ for adults and free for kids under 18. I can really recommend paying for the crypt, soo special🤩 The church have the most beautiful tower, worth to see 😍

Nice place to visit, even with your children. I went there with my 10-year-old son who enjoyed discovering every corner of the crypt. This place is a real maze. It is quite dark but it contributes to the general feeling of mystery you get once inside. Some parts are really well preserved. They provide the visitors with useful and interesting information, but it is sometimes hard to decipher the texts written in different languages as several of the lamps are not working. But it is still worth the visit,especially as it is 6€ (if you have no special discount) and free for children (until the age of 18) If needed, there are toilets just outside the entrance (red door on the right side when coming in)

The crypt under the Basilica is a real historical gem. Very well preserved and maintained the crypt is filled with colourful murals and paintings. It is worth a visit.

Definitely must see please - I was surprised how good the crypt can be organized and maintained. It takes like 30-45 min to go thru but is worth any minute. Place has unprecedent atmosphere and kind of art of death. You will see wall art and catacombs painting all over, with all history descriptions you can feel the atmosphere of pre - Europe time.

I missed more information about the site itself, the visit felt more like an overview of WWII. The website is also pretty outdated and hard to navigate. Tip: bring a jacket, it is very cold inside the tunnel!!!

I didn’t know what to expect when visiting this museum — I went in completely blind, having done no prior research and only using ChatGPT to help plan my holiday itinerary. I was genuinely in awe when the huge concrete megastructure suddenly came into view as I drove into the car park. It was completely unexpected and an impressive sight to behold. The exhibits, supported by clear and informative supplementary information, made the visit both engaging and enjoyable. That said, a few areas felt a little empty, and additional displays could have further enriched what was otherwise a very well-presented museum. One highlight was the interactive tablet and headset experience, which elevated the visit and made the museum even more immersive. The on-site café was also a pleasant surprise, serving tasty food and drinks at very reasonable prices.

Took my Band of Gamers tour group here on October 2, 2023. The site was absolutely amazing. In addition to the history of the V2 program, the site also presented information on the slave labour the Nazis used to work on this complex - very sobering. In 2019 my group visited the V3 site Mymoceques but we didn't have time to come here. I'm glad we took the time to see it this time. Highly recommend.

Combine this visit with a visit to the Blockhaus or the V3 weapon and you'll see what optimism and a lot of money can do. Even though it's unfinished, you'll have a great impression of this site. The interactive tablets do a good job. Some expositions are sadly only in French and the lack of internet under earth invalidate on the fly translation apps. Pre-downloading translations helps. I'll still give it 5 stars. It will take you from 1914 well into the American space program, with a focus on WW2 in Northern France, the resistance and the eventual liberation.

Lovely art gallery/museum and a complete surprise. Really interesting audio guide and some activities for children to do. Some lovely Flemish paintings including some work by Bruegel.

Interesting. My expectation was it was going to be a museum on the history of Cassel and the surrounding area. However, it’s more of an art gallery of the local area, which if I had known it’s great, but not my cup of tea. Also great toilets!

A small local museum with visiting exhibitions to view. Really interesting and explains something about their local giants which are out on display in the streets at festival times. Upstairs is more local findings and wood carvings, a good way to spend a couple of hours and I would go back again. Minimal cost to get in

A really beautiful place to enjoy the nature and drink a coffee. The garden is pretty (not soo big) and well cared. For me it wasn’t a wow moment but still a visit earned and I’d visit it a second time. The price is a bit high but understandable. I enjoyed the little cafe is really lovely and has a nice decoration. The highlight for me was the private “second hand” shop. A magical and lovely place :D

It is really nice sandy beach. You can walk, swim, and shower. Parking is not easy in a busy hot summer day. You can walk with wheelchair/Stroller but cannot go to the beach close to the water.

One of my favourite beaches, lovely long promenade with cafe's, bars, shops and restaurants. Lots of activities for the kids, including trampolines, bouncy castles, bike and go kart rental, lovely for a day out or a vacation with loads of apartments to rent for holidays.

This is seriously nice seaside, huge place and beautiful, lot of attractions for kids, restaurants, unfortunately we struggle to find fish and chip shop.

I like thi beach more than the Oostende, because its less crowded and the restaurants and bars are comparable.

Went on a Wednesday when the park was open from 10AM-10PM, and managed to get on an amazing 16 rides. Wait times were really good especially for The Ride to Happiness, with the longest queue being only 45 minutes. Food is very expensive so I recommend taking your own. Thank you to Leme at the Plopsaland Shop for being so helpful though with our visit and helping us to pick the best pin badges! Definitely will be coming back again!

Great the park. There are some great rides here. Mainly geared towards families with younger children (under 16), but you can not deny the presence of Ride To Happiness, which is clearly aimed at an older audience. Ride To Happiness is simply one of the best roller-coasters in the world, and it should be on everyone's bucket list.

I really wanted to give the park 5 stars but some things are odd. First of all, why isn’t there any signage anywhere? Second, why isn’t there any information about waiting times? We were there on a Wednesday middle of October and it was really calm, Zero to little waiting times, even at the top rollercoaster “ride to happiness”, which is awesome! Most of the attractions are definitely for smaller kids, there are basically only three thrill rides, “happiness, Anubis and Heidi”. Would I come back just for this three rides on a calm day? Definitely! Would I come back on a busy summer weekend? For sure not.

Loved this place and it really exceeded my expectations! We were staying in nearby de panne and it had a great transport link on the tram right into the theme park. Reasonably priced for the entry fee. We purchased the tickets the day before as this worked out cheaper than on the gate. This themepark has something for all the family and we were really lucky to not have long queues on the day we visited. Everyone loved Heidi and the Ride to Happiness. Lots of great food venues to choose from. Great theming throughout the park and decorated really well for Halloween. The parade was also fun and the whole day had a really fun, happy vibe! The plopsaland hotel looked lovely. Overall, a great day out and we would definitely return.

Clean and tidy but way too busy and a ridiculous access pass system for families with younger children ! Wouldn’t say this park is value for money! The one good thing at this park is the ride of happiness which is in the top 5 coasters I have done .

We had an absolutely fantastic day at Plopsaland! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. One of the biggest highlights for us was “The Ride to Happiness” what an incredible rollercoaster! It’s easily one of the best rides we’ve ever been on. Thrilling, smooth, and full of surprises, we couldn’t resist going on it multiple times thanks to the short queues! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The mix of fun attractions, friendly staff, and minimal waiting times made it a truly perfect day out. Highly recommend Plopsaland to anyone visiting Belgium, we’ll definitely be back! 🎢✨

I’ve been to this amusement park a couple of times. Overall, it’s mainly focused on small kids. The only attraction that truly stands out for adults is ‘The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland’— absolutely amazing and worth the visit on its own. A few downsides: queues can get really long on sunny days. Food is available at many kiosks, but it’s very basic and extremely overpriced. Parking isn’t free either. Also, expect heavy traffic when arriving and leaving the park, especially during weekends or holidays.

An incredible, well-preserved piece of history and a truly memorable experience. The tour lasts over three hours, walking through bunkers, tunnels, and open-air remains while learning about World War history. It’s fascinating to stand inside structures built so many decades ago — even before our great-great-great-grandparents were born! At the start, they give you an audio guide device that vibrates and pops up information whenever you reach a landmark;I loved that feature. The site is very well-organized, and everything is clearly explained. It’s also amazing to stand by the sea during the tour and imagine what it must have been like back then. I definitely recommend packing some snacks and lots of water or drinks, because it’s a long walk and you’ll be tired by the end. Wear comfortable shoes (open or closed), as there’s quite a bit of walking involved. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Belgian coast and interested in history.

All we knew about WW1 and WW2 was from history books and some movies. Being here , we understood more about them. We spent about 3 hours inside, and afterwards we took a walk on the beach. Very cheap entry tickets and a lot to see.

Came here in Oostende for holidays, and I was met with this amazing WW1/WW2 Museum. I decided to visit it with my friends and family since I love to learn everything related to WW1 and WW2, and I was not disappointed. The entry is relatively cheap for so much you can explore. We got told that a visit would take 2 hours, but we ended up exploring it for about 3 hours! You’re given a map with a route that follows a certain route. It leads you to explore the WW1 route first and then the WW2 route. You’re also given a device (a sort of phone) which is probably the most useful thing i’ve seen in a museum so far. It offers various things: - Audios: In the WW2 route, there are numbers marked on some doors where you can listen to information about that certain part -Location based information: It has some sort of tracker where, when you pass a certain area, it pops up images, maps, small videos and more information about that certain area. Furthermore, the organisation, preservation and info boards are very good. It makes reading, as well as learning, much more enjoyable. There are some areas in bunkers/underground routes, where you’re met with realistic war sounds, such as airplanes flying, bombs exploding and gunshots that give you that eerie experience of what soldiers had to endure day by day. Finally, there are some TVs with small videos that explain certain events (How people survived during bombings, how the germans used their fortifications to defend the coast, how they used math to calculate the distance of the enemy’s ship, etc..) Overall, it was a pleasant experience. As someone who loves everything about WW1/WW2, this museum is absolutely amazing and well explained. Totally recommend to take a moment to visit it and learn what the Belgian coast had to endure, as well as what happened in WW1/WW2 in general. Fantastic, will come here one day with more friends and family again!

Fantastic open air museum about the German fortifications along the Atlantic coast in Word Wars I and II. The exihibition is extremely well done, with replicas and original pieces that not only show the military aspects of the fortifications but also the everyday life of both soldiers and local citizens. We went with two kids (7 and 10) and despite the gloomy topics, the exhibition is also suited for kids, with a map and a quiz for kids to explore the area. Highly recommended!

One of the main museums, if not the main museum one can visit when retracing the Western Front and the WW1 trail. Located within a splendid building in the centre of Ypres. The museum is immersive with key station points for your audio guide to be activated, a very clever poppy band that also activated key points throughout the museum. Lots of videos of reenactments, great displays and lots of key information that can even make one who may know a lot, to think further. Very accessible and decently priced.

Excellent museum with lots of interactive displays and videos. A brilliant telling of the experiences of the solders and civilians in the Ypres salient during the First World War. Very powerful and moving. All contained in the fabulous building rebuilt after the war.

I visited for two main reasons. First is that my Great Grandfather was a gunner with the RGA in the 3rd Battle of Ypres and not only was it a miracle that he survived but also the diary he kept of his experiences, which is a moving read. After transcribing this a few years ago, I have been researching the contents and the day I visited the museum was part of that and found it so interesting and informative. The layout is quite modern and I liked the use of videos with actors recreating the experiences, especially the medical staff. The other reason I was visiting is that my Great Uncle Charles was killed in 1915 and as he has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the nearby Menin Gate. The impact of his death, and that of his brother who was killed in action only a few weeks later, is still remembered by our family and I was also trying to find out more about his death. For both of these family members, I did manage to find out really useful additional information. Even if you are not like me and researching a specific family member, this is definitely worth visiting and is suitable for younger children with adult supervision. Our teen children found it interesting and we need to ensure the younger generation are aware of the events of 1914-18. There is an entry fee and you can pay extra for an audio tour and visit to the tower. We didn't do the latter two due to time restraints (we managed to get in for last entry time as we had had a busy day of visiting other sites which had to fit in 1 day) We hadn't pre-booked but no issues with that.

Check events going on in Square before booking! We booked the three bedroom apartment for Friday and Saturday on the basis it was nice and close to everything for our family of 4 kids and 2 adult. The apartment had plenty of room for our family although the beds weren't large but there was a concert on in the market square on the Saturday night that was very loud and continued until almost midnight. Our children were older and did manage to get some sleep, but if you had smaller, noise sensitive children or adults, you would have been quite annoyed. There is a toilet downstairs as well as upstairs, and the stairs are metal and unforgiving, but there is a lift that you need to have a key on to use. If you enter it without the key and the doors shut, you can't get out- as one of our children discovered!

Where we stayed , accomidated all 10 of us and was self catering. Brillant thats all i can say we go every year. ;)

A sombre place - 'a First World War memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the missing British and Commonwealth soldiers who have no known grave in the Ypres Salient, with their names engraved on the walls of the memorial.' - I felt choked up approaching this place remembering my relatives that served here including my grandfather wounded at Passchendaele. We also saw groups of school kids, including some Indian students, and their teacher and a male and female student carried a wreath to lay remembering Indians who served as part of the British Empire.

I was here twice in one day, on a bus tour from brussels. Once around lunch, and then once at 7pm to stay for the 8pm last post ceremony. -Its a large "Gate" building, the functions as a road as well except at 8pm, when police close the road for the last post ceremony. The sidewalk is also roped off, you cannot cross this gate into or out of city between 7:50pm-8:20pm, by foot or car. -You can walk up the steps in the middle to the upper parts on either side, its more walls of names. -You can participate in the last post Ceremony if you have a poppy wreath similar to theirs. You can bring from home, or Buy a wreath at the "Info shop" across the road from the gate, inside the city. The man running the ceremony said they never turn away someone that wants to participate. -The last post ceremony gets busy, we arrived 1 hour before to be sure we got front row, and we did, but it does get busy. The ceremony itself is about 10min long, with a short trumpet call, then a short speech, then people walk up and put wreaths, and then trumpets again, and its over. The guide said sometimes there is more people putting wreaths, sometimes there is more speeches, sometimes more music performances, so it could take longer sometimes. Overall it was a nice memorial to the fallen soldiers

There’s an office on site where they will help you locate the name of a lost family member. (Don’t try to read all the names or you’ll never find the one you want). If your schedule allows, stay for the Last Post ceremony, done every day. Right in the town centre of Ypres, a beautiful place to visit.

This is a must visit site in Ypres, especially at 8pm every day when the last post is played. It is remarkable that this service happens every day of the year more than 100 years after WW1, but then it remains as poignant and relevant today as ever (sadly). We attended on two consecutive nights, one night with the Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band playing (incredible) the next with a female choral choir. Both were very moving. I estimated about 500 people attended both nights. The four or five horn players of the last post were clearly very experienced. The gate itself is a mini-museum, and it is very impactful to see the thousands of names of lost soldiers from so many countries. Really, everyone should visit this site.

It was built in the 1920s and has the names of 54,000 allied servicemen who lost their lives but have no known grave, inscribed on panels inside the building. It is sited on the road that the troops used to march along to reach the nearby Ypres salient, scene of fighting for pretty much the entire war. It is also where the famous Last Post ceremony takes place. We read the CWGC information boards and saw the information on the hill next to the gate and then we walked through the galleries with the names of the fallen before joining the crowds to listen to the ceremony. I was surprised at how busy it was and the ceremony itself lasted about 15 minutes but the colonnade was full 45 minutes before it started. It was a lovely ceremony with the Last Post and then two songs sung by St Anthony's Catholic Girl School from Market Weighton.

A lesson from history about the waste of war and its leaders who send men to there death! Looking at the world at the moment, have we learned? A very pretty neogothic church, which looks so quaint and lightweight. Inspired by the Cologne cathedral and neogothic Votivkirche in Vienna, this one definitely has some character of its own. The lovely stained glass windows (modern, by a local Michel Martens) add so much color and brightness.

It's such a cool place with some beautiful greenery. Compared to parks in France, this one is quite affordable. Not many thrills rides but still a cool place nevertheless.

First of all you should take Mexico parking direction to access Bellewaerde park. otherwise the map drives you to Its Aquapark. there are plenty of parking lots on the spot and it costs 13€ for a car, no matter how long you stay. in the park enterance they check out your shoulder bag if you carry any. the wheelchair ♿️ enterance is also possible. we started our day with Huracan attraction. we went through many tunnels which were dark, and lacked oxygen for so many people in there! I do not recommend this attraction for those who have breathing problem. the waiting time was not mentioned anywhere near the attraction. It took us 35 minutes to have our 30 seconds ride. It was cool though. The Boomerang attraction was the best among all we tried. the best thing abOut this park is the combination of water, zoo, and attractions, so you don't need to always be on roller coster and giving your body a shock! the waiting time for attractions were not mentioned except for one, as far as we noticed. and this is a negative point for such park. The toilletes were not well taken care of, and could be cleaner. there are plenty of chairs to rest and have a calm moment all along the park. India part in the parc was the smallest part! and Bengal express was not active! I really wanted to have that ride! maybe next time! the majority of staff spoke both dutch and french which was great. good and drinks are everywhere and you don't miss them. another remarkable thing is that there are recycle bins everywhere, which is great. So much fun! The attractions are super nice, a lot of options for every age. They do not however display waiting times very clearly. I’ve been to other parks before where to every attraction there’s a screen telling you how much you have to wait, at different spots on the line too, but that’s not the case there, which can be very frustrating. That aside, had a great day!

My family had a good time there, but being from the Orlando area, we are maybe more critical of theme parks since we have so many. All of the rides were good, but definitely a little dated, and about half of the scenery could do with a face-lift. The lines moved quickly for most rides, so we were able to ride everything we wanted to the day we were there, and still had time to go to the aquapark for a couple of hours. Value-wise, it's a win, but a touch of modernization could go a long way.

Well worth the visit, especially, in my opinion, those with kids as they will absolutely love the immersive (recreated) dug out and trenches. An impressive making and simulation of what a trench would look or feel like. The museum is packed with information, mostly relating to the battle of Passchendale itself but also to the wider western front. The Audi guides are a great tool to have to guide you throughout and the museum itself sits in a wider memorial park area which is just beautiful. There is more parking a little further up the road if the main car park is full. Plenty of spaces to have a picnic in the surrounding parks. The museum itself probably hosts the friendliest and helpful staff you could ever encounter.

What a wonderful museum dedicated to the soldiers of WW1. The audio guide has all the information about each room and bunkers you visit. For me the most moving insight was the interactive cinema which gave an insight into the hard, difficult conditions the soldier's fought in. The underground tunnels and trenches were also an interesting eye opener into the fighting in WW1. Allow at least a couple of hours to really appreciate the whole museum

An essential visit for anyone interested in not only the military side of the 1917 battle but also the impact on the civilians. For me, this was a deeply personal and emotional visit as my Great Grandfather served the 1917 Battle and kept a diary of his experiences of being a British Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. Amazingly the diary survived and therefore I visited as part of my research into his experiences and thanks to this museum I learned so much more. The trenches experience was really interesting and there is an excellent audio guide that takes you through the whole museum. We didn't buy tickets in advance but had no wait to enter. There is a shop and cafe nearby.

What a beautiful museum,ao much history of what happened at Passendale. You get to experience the underground living of the troops and has a wide selection of artifacts from the war. Some things putting things into perspective. You can also just spend time in their park which is also clean and scenic...just avoid the tour groups of children...most of them still have alot of energy from the long bus rides 😅

The scale of this cemetery is staggering - it isn't just the number of graves but how many are unknown soldiers. I visited for several reasons. First is that my Great Grandfather fought in the 3rd Battle of Ypres and not only did he miraculously survived but so did the diary he kept of his experiences. I know that some of his comrades died and possibly buried here/named on the memorial wall so I wanted to pay my respects. There is also a memorial to the Sherwood Foresters, which several of my family members were part of so wanted to view this too. Finally my Great Uncle Charles, who was a Sherwood Forester, was killed in action locally but has no known grave. My research points to this being one of the two possible last resting places for him. It would take hours to view each grave, and we had limited time here, but I did spot a grave of an unknown Sherwood Forester and I would like to think that perhaps this is Charles and he guided me here. As with all Commonwealth War Cemeteries, this is beautifully maintained and is a fitting memorial to all those laid to rest here. There is a visitors centre along with free parking. Take tissues as you will have tears in your eyes. Free to visit.

This is the largest British Commonwealth military cemetery in the world with 12,000 marked graves and a further 35,000 names on the memorial plaques, where the bodies of the missing could not be found. Tyne Cot is the name of the German blockhouse, painted to look like a cottage, that was part of a defensive line responsible for so many deaths. It is now the base of the Remembrance Cross. The graves are very well tended by the CWGC and there were lots of visitors including two coach trips of schoolkids. We probably spent an hour in the Visitors Centre and Cemetery and also looking at the terrain that was being fought across and it was a very sobering experience. Luckily, as we left, there was a spaniel that was the happiest dog in the world so that injected some much needed positivity into the morning.

Tyne Cot Cemetary is the largest resting place for British and Commonwealth troops who lost their lives in WW1, especially those who fought in Passchendaele, the 3rd battle of Ypres. Its name derives from the Northumberland Fusiliers who thought the many German pill boxes looked like Tyneside workman cottages and was abbreviated to Tyne cots. My visit on 17th September 2025 was particularly poignant for me as it was on the occasion of my late father's birthday who was born in 1918 and his father, my grand-père Charles Villaret, was with the French First Army that supported the British offensive in 1917 at Passchendaele - he looked after the horses and obviously survived whereas many of his comrades and horses didn't. The cemetery, like others in Belgium, is taken great care of by the War Graves Commission and it's a special place to remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by British and AZTEC troops. However, it's alot to take in and probably requires more than one visit. It was busy when I went with a number of guided tours taking place.

First visit to Tyne Cot. Slightly confusing how to get in from the Visitors Centre. We did walk to this first and the display and information boards were very good. However there were no signs to say how to get into the cemetery from the Visitors Centre. The front entrance is directly opposite the car park. It’s a small gate which leads out onto the main portico of the cemetery. Note the cemetery shuts at 6pm. Once inside the sight of so many graves and names on the walls is over bearing. The enormous loss of life is so disturbing. In what was a war where life was given over for military tactic. In a place we’re not much land was taken and in some places 95 lives lost per 3 acre leaves you to question why? So much destruction in a few short years and all for land and power. The Commonwealth war graves keep the cemetery in excellent condition and the constant roll of names over the tannoy is keeping the memory of those fallen alive. Somewhere everyone should visit.

Wonderful place , not to miss , hop on metro from Lille to Roubaix ,few (12 )stops ride to be here . Easy 5-7 min walk from Roubaix station, well marked directions do was easy to find. Impressive museum where 1927 pool is converted into museum. It is really spectacular for its art collection of sculptures, paintings but also the nostalgic building of swimming pool with old structure being retained. It has a nice cafe too. Must visit if you are in Lille .
