Very nice place and great view! Worth to see.

Nice views from the top, tiring stair climb. Would be nice if castle was rebuilt more. On busy day there could be queues on staira

I always wanted to visit this place as I remember from my childhood legend of Popiel and mice. According to this folk legend - prince Popiel ІІ was a legendary 9th century ruler of the West Slavic tribe of Goplans and Polans. As a consequence of his bad rule he was deposed, besieged by his subjects, and eaten alive by mice in a tower in Kruszwica. It is not this tower but as in every legend it could be some true.
Paweł — Google review
Nice place and view. There is also a good documetary film which shows the history of that place. The car park is quite big and inexpensive. I was there in May. It is worth to have a trip on the small ship which goes around the lake.
Marta S — Google review
Beautiful location with a beautiful lake. It's easy to walk around with well maintained paths. There's are plenty of restaurants to grab some food but because of the coronavirus we couldn't eat in most of the places, obviously not their fault. If happily go back

Vast, modern, Catholic pilgrimage site with a golden cupola & a 130m tall free-standing tower.
I visited this place on a Sunday and had a blast. It was very well kept and peaceful. There were a lot of people so I'd advise to visit at rather early hours.
M A — Google review
Beautiful place of worship. You’d need 2 full days to come visit this place and check everything out. Everything to visit is free, gift shops are there, food / drinks are there. Ice cream shops too. There is a policy to follow regarding how you dress.
Patrycja K — Google review
This is called the Polish Vatican and is the largest church in Poland, and one of the largest in the world! I was there during a week day and it was very quiet. There is parking all around and it's free. If you bring some empty water bottles you can fill them up with holy water there. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing basilica.
Roderick V — Google review
This place is really a gem; usually when I think of basilica's, they are hundreds of years old, and this one is only 20. It is a testament to Polish Catholicism.
Rachel F — Google review
Overhelmingly impressive building (6th largest church building in the world), especially interior. Worth visiting and experiencing, also for non-catholics. Was not aware before that such impressive art, architecture, mosaics, other details are here, always passing by on autobahn tryin faster to get to ski in Alps. Nice park&garden, inspiring John Paul's II statue outside. 5 organs, one of which - the4th biggest in Europe, and the church-bells - this is something...the biggest one weighing over 11 tons. Spectacular!
Lauris B — Google review
What a magnificent place of worship. Highly recommend staying for an organ concert - amazing experience.
Tom P — Google review
Quite spectacular at the first glance, but I think it misses something that every place connected with any religion should have. No soul I would say. It was a nice walk though, there is a lot of things to see
Oliwia M — Google review
You could say it’s a Polish take on Taj Mahal. Gold, history, religion, and nationalism seem to all come together seamlessly, or… do they? In any case, it’s definitely worth visiting the place for its impressive architecture and a bit surreal atmosphere.

I loved this park. It is vast and has got many different areas such as: beauty flower arrangements, green grass area, little forest, pond with a bridge, herb garden, so you won't get bored. There are cafes inside and restaurants as well as public toilets. You will find ice cream parlour, outdoor gym and kids playground. I was very happy to spend a day there.
Alicja P — Google review
Park is very interesting and beautiful. Everybody will find something for himself there. Beautiful nature, trees, ponds, cafes.

One of the few places to visit in Inowrocław. You can rent a room or an apartment close by and spend your weekend in Solanki. Beautiful park with two large ponds, summer theater, a number of restaurants, Tężnie Solankowe, a beach of some sort and places with mud massage. Very therapeutic. Walks are very relaxing. Bike riding is allowed. One can enjoy scenery all year long.

Exploseum Factory DAG

Temporarily Closed
History museum

Specialty Museums
Nestled within the serene Bydgoszcz Forest, the Exploseum Factory DAG stands as a poignant reminder of World War II's military history. This unique museum is housed in eight former German explosives factory buildings, where visitors can delve into the intricate past of military technology. As you wander through interconnected corridors and tunnels, you'll uncover remnants of a time when this site was pivotal for Nazi Germany’s production of explosives like TNT and nitroglycerine.
This is definitely worth a visit. There is a chilling atmosphere here, the buildings haven't been overly modified and it still feels the same as it was when it went out of commission. The exhibits are really good and there is an English guide you can buy for 10zl if you cannot understand Polish. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. On exiting the tour, the walk back to the carpark is really nice and you can explore some of the old abandoned buildings. I really enjoyed my trip here and would highly recommend a visit here to anyone visiting the area.
Alan O — Google review
What an incredible adventure! Exploseum Factory DAG was both thrilling and deeply fascinating, a true hidden gem in Bydgoszcz. We spent about two hours exploring its tunnels, halls, and exhibitions, and the kids were absolutely captivated the entire time. It’s the perfect mix of excitement, history, and mystery, with plenty of moments that make you stop and say ‘wow’. The only thing to note is that without a guide, it can be tricky to follow all the information, as most texts are in Polish. Still, the atmosphere and uniqueness of the place make it an absolute must visit for anyone in the area!
T ( — Google review
It felt like I was the only visitor on a weekday afternoon. It’s a fascinating place and the route takes you through extensive tunnels. Unfortunately the exhibits are only described in Polish. I purchased an English-language guide at the ticket office.
Jason M — Google review
Fantastic place for anyone interested in WW2. Definitely worth a visit. They're closed on Mondays. English-speaking guide is available but need to be arranged in advance. The place isn't wheelchair/pram/buggy-friendly for obvious reasons - lots of stairs, narrow corridors and uneven terrain. The staff are really nice and welcoming. We'll definitely be back for another visit.
Maya M — Google review
Very recommended. Sadly the exhibits are in polish language only, but you can buy a english guide that helps a lot. If you want a guided tour get your tickets up front.
Sebastian F — Google review
Everything is in polish but you can buy an English guide book for ten zloty. You still miss a lot of information has there are plenty exhibits which unfortunately have no English translation. You can use Google translate if you have Internet but it is difficult to get signal inside. That is the only reason it gets minus one star. Apart from that, very cool place and strange atmosphere. Kinda difficult to get there so we used a taxi.
George — Google review
The whole exhibition has a length of ~2 km, and you do it all on your own. Pretty damn cool. Pro tip - try to avoid moments when there are school excursions - it could be unpleasantly loud in these concrete caves
Kseniia K — Google review
Only currently available in Polish, this museum is a must-see for the world. They need funding to make everything available in English. Germans need to come here and see what they did to Poles and other victims of the War they started. This place is vast and incredible in scope. Unlike anything else you will ever experience. Much of it is underground and encased in thick concrete. Built and operated mostly by slave labour, the German company DAG has yet to pay restitution to the victims and their families for their crimes. You may be able to privately hire a local guide who can translate everything but the museum only offers Polish language tours and placards. There was some English audio at the end in some of the victim display booths. This was partially funded by EU (pic included of funding breakdown) and Poland had to agree to keep it Polish only. Shame on Germany for extorting us with hush money. Sadly, this place needs some more sponsorship to get English tours and placards.

Heritage museum with archaeological artifacts & exhibits exploring regional & early Polish history.
Amazing exhibits and low price(20zł), but too many copies
Shadow X — Google review
Great collection, mostly easy to navigate around with interactive games for kids and adults. Definitely worth going to and visiting. Also lovely items can be found in the shop 😊. Easy access with lots of free parking spaces opposit the museum across the street. Was missing examples of how some items have been used in the past as sometimes it was hard to guess. Paintings collection could be better marked as can be easily missed with only a yellow arrow on the floor (we had to direct some of the visitors who were behind us as otherwise they would go straight ahead missing on that experience).
Miss S — Google review
I was expecting something more or maybe not everything was opened for visitting. I have feeling that I missed half of museum or it is just so poor.
Paweł — Google review
Interesting museum with very interesting temporary exhibitions. Great souvenirs to buy in the shop. I recommend it
Marek ( — Google review
Museum is ok but a lot of copies, you need to download app if you want listen about collection, hope in the future will get little bit better , big free parking
Muniolinio — Google review
The museum was nothing special in terms of history but it was quite interactive for kids. Though for non polish speakers I wouldn't recommend it. There is no much info in English language.
Christina M — Google review
Nice place to learn about the origins of Poland. You can see the whole museum in around 2 hours. Awesome activities for every member of the family to learn about Polish history. There are lockers to keep your luggage, to use them you need a 2 zł coin

Terrific at this time of the year. Gold, brown, red leaves... Astounding. Not many parking spaces in front of the park (maybe 15), but there's a big, free parking lot just 5 minutes walk along the lake.

great as always even in winter days pretending to be spring ;-)
Hegu — Google review
The Arboretum of Kórnik is a wonderful opportunity for lovers of plants, trees, parks and lots of greenery to relax and enjoy. With 40 hectares and around 3,000 plant species, this is the largest and oldest arboretum in Poland and the fourth largest arboretum in Europe. The arboretum was founded by the same Działyński family that also had the adjacent Kórnik Castle built. We came here in July, so in the middle of summer. Everything is beautifully green then, but you won't find the beautiful blooms of spring. It must be fantastic here when all the rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and many more plants and trees are in bloom in spring. But it can also be particularly beautiful here in autumn when the leaves of the trees and shrubs change colour. You do have to pay an entrance fee here, but the costs are very low. And you have to consider that the maintenance of such a park also involves a lot of costs. We spent more than half a day in Kórnik to see the castle and the arboretum, to also walk through the small town and to escape the big city of Poznań for a few hours and do a more relaxed pace.
Jan S — Google review
Very cool attraction, a must see if you are visiting the area. The Moors hallway was definitely my favorite. Download the App!
Charles H — Google review
It’s a great place to visit, full of flower smells and beautiful views - I’d recommend it to everyone. The only small inconvenience is the price, which is quite high, as I remember. But the views recompense that totally! Especially, when there are magnolias blooming!
Marta J — Google review
Best time to visit is clearly end of April and May rather than now as we had very little to see, nothing in bloom really yet. Lovely walk but I've been to many similar country parks, especially in the UK and they were way more impressive. Lovely staff at the entrance and of course the backdrop of the castle does help.
Krzysztof S — Google review
Nice place to walk with a lot of information provided about various trees and plants. The place is huge and is the lastgest arboretum in Poland.
John H — Google review
Fairly large garden which takes a while to visit and which offers a nice view of the castle. Somewhat nice selection of trees though nothing extraordinary. Worst thing is that you have to pay to use the toilet, and it's cash only.

Zamek w Kórniku

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Dating from the 15th century, this castle reconstructed more than 400 years later, houses a museum.
From Poznań, the town of Kórnik is a nice excursion. Here you can visit the small and manageable Kórnik Castle. The neo-Gothic castle was built in the mid-19th century by order of the Polish Działyński family. In addition to the neo-Gothic, you can discover elements of orientalism that was fashionable in the 19th century both inside and outside. The castle was partly designed by the German architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. In the 1920s, the Polish state acquired the castle together with the art collection and the adjacent 40-hectare arboretum. You can visit the living quarters of the castle on two floors. The rooms are fully furnished and the most diverse objects and artefacts are exhibited in numerous display cases. Despite its wealth, the castle feels very intimate. On the outside, the castle is surrounded by a moat. There has been a castle on this site since the 15th century. From Poznań you can travel to Kórnik by public transport within 1 hour. You can do this by bus from the train station «Poznań Główny - Dworzec Autobusowy». However, for us it was more convenient to travel from the centre of Poznań by tram to the stop «Rondo Rataje» and then change to the bus at the large bus station. We spent almost an entire day visiting Kórnik Castle and the arboretum. The entrance fee for the castle and arboretum is low and the audio tour for the castle is definitely worth it. In Kórnik you will also find a few shops and a few restaurants, cafés, ice cream parlours, terraces and snack bars. Make it a pleasant trip and enjoy a day outside the big city!
Jan S — Google review
Castle is nice and a lot of artifacts to see inside but no info in English about anything this is big shame plus you need to pay for parking in front of the castle 13zl for 2h when you can park for free around 10min walk from castle so is a shame again and 2 different tickets if you wanna see castle and gardens, so it could be better
Muniolinio — Google review
Zamek v Korniku is a true hidden treasure! The rich history of its owners adds an intriguing layer to the experience, making every visit feel like a journey through time. The beautiful garden, adorned with an array of plants and trees from the Caucasus and Middle East, is a botanical marvel. It's not just a garden; it's a living tapestry of cultures and landscapes. Exploring the grounds is a delight for the senses, and it's the perfect complement to the fascinating history of the castle. Truly a must-visit destination for history buffs and nature enthusiasts alike!😌🥰🥰
Roya S — Google review
Average with expensive ticket for entry even there is no restroom, for someone want to know more about culture and history, but for me definitely not recommend or come back!
Van N — Google review
Great trip to the castle. Lots of interesting artefacts to see and castle rooms to explore. Picturesque views around the castle.
Michał N — Google review
Beautiful old water castle next to a lake with a wide garden around it. To visit castle and garden both costs some money buy the garden is really beautiful with large trees where one can rest and stay in the shadows of the branches when the sun gets hot in the afternoon. Check it the cypress with its aerial roots that look like small dwarves! It's recommended to visit the garden in spring or autumn as the petals or the later change of colour are supposed to be the two most beautiful seasons there. There is a parking space right in front of the castle.
Hannes D — Google review
Professional guide knows what she is talking about (for Polish, I didn't see other languages). Beautiful architecture inside and outside. Interesting history of the castle. I enjoyed the experience, totally recommend it!
White M — Google review
Very nice place! Make sure you also visit the Arboretum, especially if the spring if you like Magnolias, as they have a great variety of them. You can take a tour with no additional cost, alrhough in Polish, but there are spots where you can scan a QR code and get info. Just the toilets… they cost 3PLN but rhey are awful for what they cost!… no soap in the dispensers, they were not clean enough, rhey have to put attention to this.

Lake Malta is a picturesque man-made lake that offers a variety of activities such as running and cycling. Adjacent to the lake, visitors can explore attractions like Jezyce with its street art and vibrant cafe scene, Kornik Castle where the legend of the 'White Lady' lingers, and the charming 'Vine Bridge' restaurant. In June, the Midsummer Night festival illuminates the sky with thousands of lanterns.
Reminds me of Pancharevo ezero in Bulgaria, a very nice walk around, but even better because of the many things to do around. There's a train, two roads - strictly for pedestrians and one for bikers only, ice cream and some restaurants at the far end as well as a whole amusement park and a zoo if you continue a bit further, But it's fine even for just a walk. Takes about 1 - 2 hours depending on your tempo. I loved that they put an honour to the medalists!

It has the wow effect. Lovely man made lake for rowing competition. Lots of activity on either side of the lake. One side, artificial ski slope and the other side- water park/ slide. There are also ‘beach’ type place where you can play beach volleyball and football. Not for swimming or u can swim but at your own peril…….

Great place for jogging , cycling, walking you pets or just simply outdoor walking . One of the biggest Man made lakes in Poznan. The water sport competitions are kept here. The area of the biggest Malta mall, Ski resort , and The Poznan Zoo. In winter they let it dry out , for cleaning purpose i guess.

Snowflake Ravine Reserve

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Nature & Wildlife Areas
This is one if the rare places where you can see spring snowflakes blossom in the middle of a forest preserve. A place visited by many from the beginning of March until early April. The blossom period varies from one year to another. They only allow visitors on weekends in between military compound exercises. Check the schedule before you want to visit. It is a 2km walk from a parking spot. It is definetely worth checking out.

(Translated by Google) Lovely place. Unfortunately, only available 3 weekends a year. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the parking lot in Starczanów. I recommend taking trekking shoes or Wellington boots, because the beginning of the trail is quite muddy. Sandwiches and a thermos with something warm to drink will also be useful.

(Translated by Google) A unique opportunity once a year to see green and white carpets of snowflakes in the reserve. For those who don't like walking, I don't recommend it because the route is about 6 km from the parking lot. I was there on Sunday and was shocked by the organization. Police, forest guards and a one-way trail due to the number of people. On Sunday, there were crowds there like a procession. I must admit that the route is pleasant - the wooden platforms with sockets at the stop are a nice thing. People who like nature will be delighted, but not all people may be delighted with this phenomenon. (Original) Jedyna taka okazja raz do roku aby zobaczyć zielono białe dywany śnieżynek w rezerwacie. Tym, którzy nie lubią chodzić odradzam bo trasa to ok 6km od miejsca parkingowego. Byłem w niedzielę i byłem zszokowany organizacja.

(Translated by Google) Interesting place, the route from the parking lot and back takes about 1.5 hours, distance 6.2 km. A charming and recommendable place. You need to be prepared to pay a parking fee. Locals charge as much as PLN 10 for parking a car on their threshing floor... More expensive than in Zakopane :) (Original) Ciekawe miejsce, trasa z parkingu i z powrotem, zajmuje ok 1.5 godziny, dystans 6,2 km. Miejsce urokliwe i godne polecenia. Park Cytadela in Poznan is not just a simple park, but also an open-air gallery with sculptures by various artists and part of the fortifications from the Prussian era. It's a valuable place for nature and biodiversity, making it popular for picnics and leisurely strolls. The park houses the historic Cytadela Fort from the 19th century and remnants of the former military fortress.
Enormous park not too far from the city center. Super great playground So many things for kids plus lots of art all over the park! Very green and it even has a museum with planes and tanks from world war 2. Interesting a d funny looking restaurante/bar next to the biggest playground You can even get pizza to go. In imagine that during summer the place must be packed.

Really large and nice park with lots to see. There’s some mobile ice cream and coffee places. The park could however use some maintenance in terms of grass cutting. It would also be nice to have more places to sit.

A really great park where u can let yourself get lost in. Truly amazing to visit. I spent half of day here by myself and it was really nice. There are a lot of historical spots related to the first and second world war, as well as cemeteries with unknown soldiers. Nice places for picnic, for biking, there are even some terraces really cosy and friendly. Very very nice, definitely one of the most beautiful things to see in Poznan!

Beautiful memorial park for sure. It’s worth the visit. The escapees from the great escape are buried here.

A massive park next to Poznań old town. So many walking trails to do, play areas, public gyms, cafés, bars, gardens, statues, memorials, an amphitheatre and even a war museum displaying tanks and aeroplanes. So much to do here whether it's a quick walk or a family day out. The history of this place is everywhere. Definitely recommend.

A big park, good for a walk in nature. There is also a armour or tank museum. The park is quite big, you can easily spend hours there.

Beautiful, enormous park. What a shame everything is only described in Polish. I didn't realise I was visiting former POW camps! Impressive. Signs would also be good, especially for the Nierozpoznani statues. There were several people looking for places. The Umberto restaurant is fantastic with a lot of choice for vegans and vegetarians

The Croissant Museum, also known as Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania, is a cultural museum located in a Renaissance tenement house. It is dedicated to showcasing the history of baking croissants, particularly the traditional St. Martin's croissant. Visitors can participate in interactive displays and exhibits to learn about the secrets of making this special pastry. The museum offers an experiential opportunity to bake their own unique Poznan specialty, the St.
Nice experience. The lecture about Poznań and the history of croissants is humorously led by young guides and is definitely worth a visit. We also got to taste a croissant. You can also sign up as a volunteer and participate in the production of a croissant. We bought the tickets online.

Very nice and fun activity. The guy doing the show were really lovely and funny so it’s definetly a time you’ll enjoy. They tell about the origins of this tradition and explain how to make yourself a St Martin croissant. At the end, you have. A privileged view to the goats show on the town hill clock. I recommend this experience if you have time to spare in Poznan.
Juliana P — Google review
The Rogalowe croissant museum in Poznan, Poland is a fast paced talk, delivered with humour & lots of information. We found out the history of St. Martin & then how this very special croissant is made. It is interactive but not for the whole audience. They like to have between 6-8 helpers who complete different stages of the process of the croissant making. I have to let you into a secret that I did not enjoy the flavour of the croissant but knowing where it originates from more than made up for it.
Sally D — Google review
It is more of a workshop than a museum, where you can learn how to make Poznan's famous St. Martin's croissant. Even the baker explains it so interestingly and with such a sense of humor that you feel like you are on a talk show. It was so interesting and fun that we didn't notice how time passed. In the end, we couldn't help but watch the clock strike in Poznan's town square from the window. Although I bought tickets in advance from the website, it was also possible to buy tickets at the door.
Hüseyn Q — Google review
The St. Martin's croissant making experience is great fun! Suitable for all ages, very entertaining and well presented, and everyone gets to have a turn if they want to participate. The experience is very sensory friendly and child friendly, as they allow visitors to move around, leave the room for a bit, or take part in the class as they wish. Both hosts were knowledgeable and funny, they presented the history and tradition of these little pastries very well, and at the end of the class everyone got to taste a bit as well. There's also a great view of the town hall goats, if you join the 2pm class. Definitely book ahead though, as it does tend to sell out.

An entertaining experience and not what I had expected. The two guys running it were fun, made jokes and got the audience involved. From a little bit of history, to local dialect, to how they are made. 14:00 was the English version which was basically most nationalities that do not understand Polish. Worth a visit and definitely a nice way of spending an hour.

Basilica
Sights & Landmarks
The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mary Magdalene and St. Stanislaus is a stunning Catholic church in Poznan with a pink facade that dates back to the 1600s. It is the second largest church in the city and is renowned for its priceless 19th-century organ. The basilica showcases beautiful Baroque architecture and has been recognized as a cultural treasure on UNESCO's world heritage list.
The Parish Church of St. Stanislaus, or «Fara Church», is an impressive Baroque church in the old town of Poznań. The church was built between 1651 and 1701. Squeezed between the narrow streets, you have to look for the right place to admire the immense building. But do go inside. It is a church that radiates enormous harmony, even though the church is the work of many Polish and Italian craftsmen. During WWII the church was badly damaged, but fortunately it was completely restored in peacetime and now shines perhaps like never before. The interior is dominated by a lot of red and gold and a firework of decorations. But it all radiates a very well-orchestrated order and symmetry. The Corinthian columns look like marble, but in reality they are made of wood and are exceptionally well painted. The ceiling also features beautiful "trompe-l'œil" paintings, which use clever painting techniques to create an optical illusion. The organ is also a gem and if you're lucky, you can attend one of the many free organ concerts here. According to my guide, these organ concerts take place in July and August from Monday to Saturday at 12:15 and on Thursdays at 20:00. The rest of the year, these concerts are only on Saturdays at 12:15. We stayed at a hotel near this impressive church and we often walked in to enjoy this beautiful sacred space.

I visited the Basilica of Our Lady in Poznań and it was a beautiful experience. The church is stunning both outside and inside. From the moment I walked in, I felt a deep sense of peace and calm. The architecture is amazing — full of detailed decorations, beautiful paintings, and a breathtaking ceiling. The atmosphere inside is very quiet and respectful. It’s a perfect place to sit down, reflect, or say a short prayer. Even if you are not religious, it’s worth visiting just to see the beauty of this historic place. I really liked the lighting inside — it gives the church a warm and peaceful feeling. The organ music playing softly in the background made the visit even more special. It’s also not far from the Old Market Square, so it’s easy to find. The entrance is free, but you can leave a donation if you want to support the church. I highly recommend visiting this basilica when you are in Poznań. It’s one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen, and I would love to come back again.

Also known as Fara Church, very grandiose architecture, with bigger than life figures reminiscing St Peter’s basilica. Don’t forget to visit Blessed Sacrament adoration chapel to the side on the far right. Definitely a local gem.
Chris S — Google review
This beautiful basilica, located close to the Old Town, looks stunning from the outside, with its white and light red colors. Inside, it is dominated by shades of red and gold, and everything is arranged with great symmetry. The columns appear to be made of marble but are actually crafted from wood and well-painted. Overall, it’s a very beautiful basilica and definitely worth seeing.
Mateusz R — Google review
Having seen many cathedrals, I didn’t find the exterior particularly striking—but the interior more than made up for it. It’s truly stunning and well worth a visit if you're in the area. We stopped in shortly after the goat show in the town square and were fortunate to hear the organ music start—it added a wonderful atmosphere to the experience. I highly recommend taking the time to visit.

A stupendously stunning church. Baroque maxed out to an extreme. Marvellous design, brilliant execution. A definite masterpiece.

A magnificent church of the baroque style of the 17th Century. The interior is animated with beautiful stucco is an artistic paradise. The 19th Century organ is an amazing instrument that is another artistic masterpiece.
The P — Google review
This is probably the most beautiful church in Poznan; built in Baroque style between 1651 & 1701 it has survived largely intact despite Wars and occupation. I love the huge supportive Corinthian Columns and the Frescos painted across the ceiling. The Side Aisles are also beautifully decorated along with the Nave.

Rail museum

Unassuming rooms in a steam locomotive facility offering a museum & guided tours.
It is a unique place where you can see steam locomotives going according to the timetable. The depot and museum are worth visiting, especially for steam engine lovers.
Zenia C — Google review
Steam Festival May 2025. The advantage of the 'VIP' area is that you have a seat and a reasonably good view of the 'parade', run pasts, which was impressive. However, you can't see the opening ceremonies, brass band, cheerleaders, etc. It was very crowded with limited seating areas but quite a few food and drink outlets and retail goods. The evening light show was disappointing.

After wanting to visit for a few years, I finally made it. The displays were incredible, but I was truly sad to learn there is no longer a daily train service, only limited and on Saturday. I wish I had known that before arriving. However, I’m so glad I had the chance to visit; it felt like Disneyland for this railfan, and I may well be back!
Garret G — Google review
The train yard displays are interesting and interactive. Many of the displays are in English, German, and Polish. You can also play audio descriptions on your phone.

Interesting museum especially for the enthusiast with several running trains and a number of dilapidated ones left alongside. Some old carriages the various descriptions even a snowplough that attaches to the big trains. I would recommend this place as probably one of the few places left runnung these beautiful masive living steam machines especially, if you are an enthuast, If you re not, still worth a visit and you can ride on a working steam train which I understand regularly runs on commercial tracks. So whilst I am not an enthusiast my wife seems to enjoy this sort of thing. Could probably spend a good half day, running back-and-forth on the steam train and combining that with the museum. They have a couple of trains that have featured in some well-known films, including the one in Schlindeler's list. Incidentally, that was a brilliant emotional historical film. If you are in the area and have some time, it is worth a visit.

Statue of Christ the King

Pilgrimage place
Sights & Landmarks
The world's largest statue of Jesus Christ, financed by donations from the town's residents.
My goodness this was amazing. The towns people donated the money to make this. It’s really really good. Steps are a short cut but there is a round pathway up to the statue. Nice because there are also other signs and statues to see as well. Also some statutes on the far side of the property. Some are behind trees so they are hard to see but the few I saw are very nice. They have out houses but we went into town and used a toilet there instead. Maybe a mile. This is right off of the highway. You see it from far away and easy to get to. Worth it.
Bobbi S — Google review
Very impressive! It's just off the highway, so it's definitely worth a stop over. It's taller than the statue in Rio de Janeiro, a lot less busy and completely free! Built using donations from the town's residents. Free parking too.
Christian C — Google review
Was definitely worth it stopping by here after seeing it from the town. Pretty cool and impressive that I actually saw Jesus here. Free parking and a food truck available for a drink on the go, which is nice. Not much to say about this place besides it being impressive and cool to see and visit Jesus Christ. We liked it, worth a stop.
Nikolai M — Google review
A huge statue of Christ. It is described as larger than the one in Rio de Janeiro. The statue is 36 metres high and weighs 440 tonnes. Parking was free. You can park a motorhome in front of the bridge. Visiting the statue was free. There is a small bar in front where you can buy drinks. You can take dogs into the park, but not to the statue.

The Christ the King statue in Świebodzin is truly impressive and worth seeing in person. It’s huge, visible from far away, and offers a beautiful view of the town from the hill. The place has a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere and is very clean and well maintained. The only downside is that there aren’t many cafés nearby, but overall, I definitely recommend visiting!

Museums
Międzyrzecki Rejon Umocniony - Muzeum Fortyfikacji i Nietoperzy, also known as the Fortified Front Oder-Warthe-Bogen, is a remarkable historical site that offers a glimpse into World War II defense engineering and architecture. The bunker network includes engine rooms, barracks, underground corridors, shelters, and concrete defense systems. Visitors can explore the well-preserved bunkers and learn about their significance through guided tours led by knowledgeable guides.
This is definitely a must-see. I had a 1.5 hour tour which was perfect but definitely could have gone for a longer one as it was so interesting. The tour guide was lovely and very accommodating, doing the full tour in English for me. I wish to go again for a longer tour next time!
Chloe H — Google review
This tour was an unexpected delight. We opted for the 2.5 hour tour. A Polish friend phoned ahead and booked a guide. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very witty. Wear something warm and, if possible, take the underground train ride. It was late April and the walk along the dragon's teeth defence line afterwards was a delight for the senses after being in the bunkers.
Wootton D — Google review
Very interesting place although we couldn't go on the underground tour because it was too long for us ( 2 hours) and we should have waited for the short one (1 hour) 2 hours. So we just saw the military vehicles and the bunkers. The area has the atmosphere. You can ride a real military vehicle or a motorbike. It must be a great fun!
Gabriella S — Google review
This is a great place to visit if you like war history and up-close looks of war infrastructure. The bunker tour lasts 1.5-2 hours and will go into one bunker, through its tunnels, and out a second bunker over half a kilometer away.
Brian S — Google review
The tour guide was extremely knowledge and it's easy to tell how much he cares about the topic. That passion was not just part of his job. That said, for any no -polish visitors, I would suggest you download the app and play the audio in English at every stop, because the tour guide will be speaking in Polish most of the time. Be prepared for a very long walk even in the short tour, and keep in mind that for every staircase that you go down, you will need to go back up eventually (50 meters of them). At the end you can pay in cash to be driven back to the museum in a military vehicle which goes around quite fast and is a lot of fun. Don't miss the burger restaurant next to the museum, the Bunkier King, and order the Panzer burger, you will love it. A must-have experience overall.
Fable F — Google review
Fantastic tour with an amazing guide! Our guide Andrzej was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He made the whole experience memorable with his passion and storytelling. Highly recommended!
Veeti A — Google review
This wonderful historical site has very knowledgeable tour guides, lots of different tours, ranging from 1 1/2 to 8 hours, and a neat little gift shop. There are to food vendors parked outside during the day as well, with ice cream, coffee, and small snacks. The bunkers are MASSIVE, and an extraordinary thing to be able to see mostly undamaged from WW2. I reccomend anyone with an eye for history to visit this at least once
Chase R — Google review
If you have a whole free day and you love: dark, wet places full of mysteries do not hesitate to enter the undergrounds. Choose the longest guided trip. It is worth the price. You will see many places and hear a lot of stories. Remember to wear high, water-proof shoes as well as warm clothes.

3 out of 5 - You lose one star because brands sell more expensively than on their own websites (apparently they need to factor the very high rent in your mall) - You lose another star due to the aggressive greedy parking strategy, if someone is late 30 min they get a parking ticket of 150 PLN (these people are spending money in your mall, and you guys want to ticket them for having ticket time overdue by 30 min, what a greedy and bad business strategy)

Beautiful Church with such rich history. The exterior and interior are beautiful. We loved waking around the inside and reading all the history they had displayed and then just waking around and having a good look at the architecture. Beautiful.
Corbett F — Google review
I was really drawn to the architecture of this church. When I stepped inside, I was quite surprised by how empty it was. Having seen many grand churches, this one felt very different. It has a very high ceiling which seemed to create a natural ventilation, making the interior feel cool and pleasant.
Nika — Google review
Maybe the best part of the city for me was seeing the inside of this church. Between the amazing architecture above the rubble columns leading to some of the most spectacular unique stained glass on the planet and then noticing the sarcophagi on the way out. Maybe the only depiction of the antichrist in a church window. This place was awesome. Highly recommend.
Michael C — Google review
A very nice looking church, the most central in the city. It is right next to the improvised Market Square, or what used to be a market square before. Looks very medieval, especially it’s bell tower, that reminds a bit of a castle tower and brings a bit of charm to the view.
Pavlo — Google review
Huge historic building of the cathedral is nowadays not performing its religious function, but serving as a concert hall
Piotr W — Google review
Find a sunny day to go if you really want to see the stained glass. It is a really tall church so it's hard to see it either way. The tower costs 3.50€ to climb and it's all stairs. It starts out very unevenly cut then goes spiral staircase for a while. Finally it opens up to wooden stairs and then puts you out on the roof.
Ray C — Google review
It's nice to see that people are interested to preserve this kind of places...there are no more religious practices happening at this place but the ancient window glasses are admirable.

I can't saying anything negative about the food or service. We mainly chilled on the rooftop patio. Sunday is a great time to come, no many people around. The pools are fun too. So in consideration of price, and comparing price this price with vabali I would say that this spa fails the most. 6h with saunas and therme included is smth like 95 euros and ok its fine but I would for this price expect few basic things: - there is no shower gel.. - really limited and hidden places for taking water even in new buildings there is no place for drinkable water - towels not provided - because of location I would expect that's cheaper And then few things that I would expect for this money: - Ordering in a restaurant is like you need to go to the place order food and then they will bring it to you, it's kind of a half self service - would expect a lot of more sun beds it's almost impossible to find one that's free and many of them are just covered with someone's towel. - just found at the end that it's forbidden to take pictures, I don't have an issue with not taking pictures but it's really not so obvious Positive things: - really nice big pools, salty water, sound pool - Thai restaurants have really good food - new building panorama sauna and last floor terrace is awesome Overall, most of sauna's are really small so for sauna part if you want to visit there is much better sauna focus spa and it's in the center of Berlin. But for pools, I would definitely choose this one over the Vabali.

The worst possible experience to come all the way from Berlin to Bad Saarow Therme with the family to experience that this place solely dedicated to senior citizens/adults on Fridays and Saturdays. Children-free days are Friday and Saturday. What a “family-friendly” approach :( Terrible! BIG NOT thank you to the management of this place for ruining my son’s weekend! :(

I've been to better spas..... My wife and I went here last night because we received a gift certificate for our wedding. We spent a little over 6 hours in the pool and sauna. Unfortunately, we didn't like it that much. While the saunas themselves are great, our favorite was the panoramic sauna overlooking the lake, everything else is tiny and feels cramped. The large saltwater pool is nice, but not as relaxing. And again, the space between the pools and the beds is very small and hard to walk around. A big positive surprise was the restaurant. We had the edamame, gyoza, mangu curry with shrimp and bun bo nam bo. It was delicious. Probably one of the best Thai meals I've had west of Phuket. Unfortunately, the evening ended on a sour note as the parking garage is also - surprise, surprise - super cramped and I scratched the rims of our car going down the super narrow ramp. To sum up: we've been here, but we prefer the SpreewaldTherme in Burg or the VaBali Spa in Berlin.

Lovely place to go. The saunas have really nice view to the park! I wished that they had a proper restaurant with more options in the afternoon.

This spa is about 1 hour by train from Berlin then around 20 minutes by bus. Ideally you should spend at least 3 hours to really enjoy it. It offers jacuzzi, swimming pools and sauna. I loved the jacuzzi and the lavender sauna along with many cold and hot showers. Daily pass cost Euro 27 and 10 extra for sauna. Unfortunately, the food is very limited and the sitting is just wooden benches with ants crawling all over the tables. Obsulatly disgusting! There is a nice park overlooking a lake next to it , it's worth a visit.

This is one of the most relaxing and clean public thermal and spa places I've seen. It's affordable, you can reach it by train and public transport in less than an hour and half from Berlin. They have different kinds of pools inside and outside. I would like to give a plus point for the pool with underwater music and its relaxing atmosphere. I heard its textile-free for adults on Saturday. Make a phone call and reassure it before you head on to this beautiful oasis.
Farshad D — Google review
Super cool feelings during the winter time! There are lots of pool to chill inside and one of them in outside which is the coolest one! For 3 hours cost is 17 euro around, I paid in January 2020. They give a bracelet for entrance and locker to put your stuff safely. Only one thing was really annoying if you go there really busy time, after bathing when you’re exiting from the place you need to wait in the line to give your bracelet and for payment! It’s horrible system which I saw first time in my entirely life! Why they’re not taking money at the entrance and putting a box to want us to put bracelets... I didn’t expect from Germany sorry but disappointed.

SATAMA SAUNA RESORT & SPA

Sauna
Spas & Wellness
Airy accommodations in a refined lakeside spa resort with a restaurant, saunas & an outdoor pool.
We loved our Spa & Sauna Day and stayed for the entire opening time on a Saturday. Starting with breakfast and finishing with a cocktail, coffee and Cake+ beautiful dinner and many visits to various saunas and the pool in between! All in our bathrobes and flip flops! Plenty of deck chairs at the lake, beautiful rest rooms, the attraction was the theater sauna though, I've never seen anything like this and I'm sure nobody back home in Ireland will believe me because I've no photographic evidence!!!:D Will return!

Been here many times. Always very nice and relaxing. The saunas are great and there is plenty of room to relax. Spend two days here with one night in a nearby hotel.
David S — Google review
The service at reception isn't very friendly, it's almost robotic. People reserve their chairs all day with their towels and there's nowhere to sit, and I went on a weekday. The chairs that were unoccupied had bird poo on them. But the most incredible thing is that in a place with saunas, where people sweat and lose a lot of liquid, water is not offered as a courtesy, you have to buy mineral water. I've been to many places like this around the world and this is the first one where I can't find any water stations to rehydrate. In short, the place is very beautiful, but there's a lack of attention on those details.

I came here as a day visitor for 3 consecutive days. The experience was most enjoyable. Be aware that this business is in the former East Germany and most of the people here did not learn English (or foreign languages) at school. Some of the younger staff and migrant staff working in the restraunt, did speak some English. This is a great place to have some chill time with friends or family.
Phil N — Google review
Very nice place. A perfect alternative to Spreewaldtherme, it doesn't have as many swimming places but it makes up for it with a wide arrange of saunas. The "rituals" are sometimes a bit over the top but fun and respectful anyway. I will definitely come back

Made us pay inflation! We came here because we received two vouchers for packages for our wedding in summer 2022. Vouchers was valid till the end of 2025 and included a visit, massage and a drink. At the end we were told that same package costs now around 20-25€ more per person than it was in 2022, so we need to pay the difference. This information was new to us and not shared over the phone, or at the entrance. Big scam, reason to not come back. Overall reception was not friendly or cooperative. Overall good massage, good restaurant, nice saunas. Very old school and small but clean with friendly people (except the entrance)
Aleksandra B — Google review
The spa is the best in Brandenburg: overlooks the lake, has wildlife, outdoor saunas made with wood and stone, great aufguss treatments - and a restaurant which is quite nice… however… If you’re staying overnight, then the review takes a turn. There’s no WiFi, no sauna towels, and unlike the Google ad here: the breakfast is not free (although the views of the lake are magnificent)

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Tropical Islands is a vast water park with accommodations like rooms and cottages, featuring an indoor rainforest and a lagoon. The Aquapark AMAZONIA offers outdoor heated pools, water slides, and Balinese beds for relaxation. Conference facilities are available for business events. Guests can enjoy various dining options on-site. While some visitors had issues with check-in, they found the park impressive with its diverse activities and natural elements like animals and plants.
We had a great stay, but yes they use too much chlorine in the water and since chlorine is a gas and is not trapped well in warm water the atmosphere is feeling heavy of chlorine. This is unfortunate. Having said that, we had a great stay. Not all the staff are polite as expected but the greatest majority are good. They are just not very confortable with English. The service was good however. We stayed at the sunrise houses and it was a great surprise. It was clean and very fresh, almost new even.

It’s an incredible experience that I will never do again. The waterpark aspect is nice and huge, but every beach chair is taken by towels… You can change to swim wear in the dome but there are not enough closets for everyone and the ones that seem available are broken. Meaning the lock doesn’t work. The food is bad and the service to get the food is worse - it’s horrendous. They have hired just about 1 server per restaurant and they only speak German. Today our dinner restaurant at Ohana hotel where we stay, had run out of 2 food items, of 5 available, and ketchup. At least they said that they might have it tomorrow, but no guarantees. The room in Ohana is nice. And one elevator is broken so always a queue to get up to your room. You can buy a refill cup, that you can fill every 45 minutes, but there was always a queue and multiple times we experienced that drinks had run out or no ice… If you like regular quality food, then this is not for you. If you like good food, then Germany is not for you. So, all in all it’s an experience - not be repeated.

Tropical Islands - a place that will test if your team would survive on a deserted island. I came to Tropical Islands for two days with a group of 16 friends. I booked four tents (bookings were made simultaneously, from one account). Upon arrival, I discovered that two tents were in Zone 1, and two more in another one – about 5 minutes apart. It seemed absurd to split the group, but I decided it wasn't worth arguing about. Upon arriving at the tents, we discovered that one of our assigned tents was occupied by strangers, leaving my guests with nowhere to sleep. I spent approx. 1.5 hours at the reception desk discussing the situation, and the staff sent me from one employee to another, with no specific action. Each employee kept me waiting, without telling me how long or for what I was waiting for. The manager suggested moving one tent to Zone 1 and leaving the other four guests separately in Zone 2, or putting four people in a "house" in a completely different area from the rest of my guests. This would have meant we'd be housed in three different areas of the complex. We weren't given the option of moving all of us to the same area. The only comment from the staff was "we are overbooked, we can't do anything about it - you can write a complaint". When I asked ironicaly if I could give a one-star rating on Google Maps as compensation, the employee said yes. What I'm doing right now. After the argument, we were given a tent that leaked and was completely wet (pics attached). The staff told us, they don't have any protective foil and we had to deal with it by ourselves. When asked what kind of compensation we will receive for the inconvenience, wasted time, and ruined atmosphere, the employee said we could get 4 coctails vouchers. After commenting that there were definitely more of us and the whole group was now waiting and getting upset, the employee decided the problem was limited to one tent. Ultimately, we received 7 vouchers, which could only be used in the area outside the main water attractions. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The entire complex advertises itself as an amusement park, although the attractions included in the ticket price are two swimming pools (one of which is a children's playground), four indoor water slides, one pool and one outdoor slide. During our stay, the outdoor water wasn't very warm. The outdoor slide didn't have enough water, and we stopped at every turn, having to push ourselves off the walls. The bar and food court, as well as most of the attractions, close at 10:00 PM – this isn't a place for adults looking to spend a pleasant evening, enjoy an exotic evening drink on the beach, dance, etc. If it weren't for the fact that I wasted a lot of time on Saturday arguing with the staff and having team-building activities planned for my guests for the evening, we would have left right after breakfast on the second day, as there was absolutely nothing to do for more than 4-5 hours. On the positive side, I came with fantastic people who organized themselves, made a great atmosphere and wanted to have fun together. Breakfast was also good. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. The Polish Suntago is definitely more attractive, better organized, and has a wider variety of attractions for everyone and stuff is more pro-client.

We arrived at 6pm and waited in line for a little over 1hr to get checked in. Check in person was friendly but overwhelmed. We had to find our way around during our stay but it’s ok because my husband and my son are very good in memorizing the way. The frustration started when we wanted to check out. They have some check out machines that many people use to check out, but many of them are stuck because the machine won’t take the payment so in the end they can’t finish the self check out. After waiting and observing the situation, we decided to do check out at the counter. The person (a beautiful lady) told us how much to pay and I reached my wallet to pay to the cents with coins. This, apparently, created frustration for the beautiful lady and she had to shake her head while looking at what I was doing. VERY UNPOLITE, but also very German! Honestly, we had a great time at tropical island and in the end she had to ruin that experience. WHYYY???? I just don’t get it. But be prepared for this kind of customer service wherever you are when in Germany!

Impressive at first glance but we wouldn't come again. The initial impression is really cool, the jungle area and overall size of the dome is nice! But afterwards, you'll notice some things: - Food and service are absolutely horrible. We waited 10 minutes to be seated at a restaurant, and there was no one in front of us and the restaurant was basically empty. - Almost all arcade games and tables in the game area are just broken. Overall, our group agreed that it was a nice one time experience and maybe really cool for a single day stay with small children, but we wouldn't go there again.
Alexander M — Google review
The venue itself is genuinely beautiful and well-kept. The environment is immersive, clean, and provides a pleasant tropical atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the unique setting. Dining Disappointment: The food quality is poor. It mostly consists of low-quality frozen products sold at the price of normal, fresh meals. This is a significant drawback for a day-long visit. • Locker Trouble: The changing room situation was frustrating. Lockers for personal belongings are open and seemingly available, but are unusable, which causes inconvenience right at the start of the visit. • Service Hit-or-Miss: The staff attempts to be nice and polite, but the execution of good service is inconsistent. Their efforts are visible, but the helpfulness and efficiency vary.

On balance a great experience enjoyed by us all. Would advise an overnight stay, as facilities can be used prior both check-in and check-out. Arriving around 17:00 ~ albeit in November ~ using the QR code meant little or no delay, leaving time for the pools and water-slides prior the buffet dinner. Likewise with an early start we were able to use many of the facilities ahead of the day-trippers before a buffet breakfast. An imaginative way of using a remarkable historic building, and an interesting contrast to the autumn weather beyond! Our only criticism stems from using the regional railway service to arrive (30 mins delay) and depart (120 mins delay)... maybe the trains ran on schedule back in the day?
Colin H — Google review
It was the most horrible experience. We arrived at 11:30, none of the lockers were locked. We tried dozens of lockers. We, like many other people, had to leave our things in an open locker. Or we had to carry everything with us. We were with three small children, so carrying everything with us was not an option. The air and water inside were not warm enough, everyone was freezing, both the children and us. Very few hair dryers. Finally, when we were leaving, I accidentally noticed the extra 10, 15 and 25 euros. When I asked the cashier what it was for, he said that it was for the bracelet that closes the locker, 2.50 euros and he didn't know anything more. He sent us to the information desk and didn't want to solve the problem. The information desk showed that it was a charge for our numerous attempts to close the locker. Of course they took 50 euros from us, but we spent a lot of time arguing and our tired children barely survived the whole time. I can only imagine how many people didn't notice and just paid whatever they were charged. And for all this terrible service we paid 200 euros and an additional 100 euros for food (only for two adults and three small children under 5 years old).

Nestled in the Marzahn-Hallersdorf district, the Gardens of the World is a stunning 40-hectare park that celebrates global horticulture and landscaping. Visitors can wander through beautifully crafted gardens inspired by various cultures, including Japanese, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Balinese, and Italian designs. Each garden reflects meticulous care and artistry.
A Gem in Berlin: Gardens of the World My recent visit to Gardens of the World (Gärten der Welt) in Berlin was an absolutely wonderful experience. This expansive park is a true highlight and offers a delightful escape from the city bustle. What truly stands out is the incredible diversity of the gardens. From the tranquil Chinese Garden of Harmonious Coexistence with its traditional architecture and serene ponds, to the meticulously designed Japanese Garden, and the vibrant colours of the Oriental Garden, each section transports you to a different part of the world. I particularly enjoyed wandering through the English Garden and getting lost in the unique landscapes of the Maze and Labyrinth. The attention to detail in every garden is remarkable, and it's clear a lot of care goes into maintaining these beautiful spaces. Whether you're a keen gardener, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful place to relax, there's something here for everyone. The pathways are well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to sit, reflect, and enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend spending at least a few hours, if not a whole day, exploring everything Gardens of the World has to offer. It's an enriching and incredibly pleasant way to spend your time in Berlin.

If you plan to visit here, please reserve from 2-3 hours up to a half day. There's a plenty of gardens to see and much more to do than that. Kids won't be disappointed as there are many attractions to keep them entertained (classic playground, water playground, make garden etc.). You can also enjoy the cable car with separately sold tickets. If you came here by car, leave it on the parking lot located next to the entrances, it's free of charge.

Wonderful calming and educational walk through gardens of the World. We had some fun being in the garden of 🇺🇸. I have the year card. When I miss my motherland, I come to Deyue Garden (得月园, “Get the Moon”), the Chinese Garden. Yaoyue Pavilion (邀月亭) means “Invite you to see the moon.”半区丘壑是新开,几处亭台成小筑 means “This area is newly built, with several small and beautiful pavilions.” The Chinese character of the Korean Garden “将军” means General, and the character “女” means woman. The Japanese Garden 融水苑 means “a garden in harmony with water.” 融合如水以成和 means “harmony like water, bringing peace.” But I only understand the Chinese part of the two Asian gardens. The Chinese Garden has a teahouse, and the staff are 100% Chinese. Chinese garden has many fish inside; this kind of fish is only for viewing. In China, we say the Jinli (锦鲤) brings you luck. I hope the officials can make Chinese Garden postcards. It is a really well-designed traditional Chinese garden. Confucius is also a representative of ancient educators. The German sentence written beneath his statue is the original translation of “Do not impose on others what you do not desire yourself.(己所不欲 ,勿施于人)”. Have fun.

I went to Gardens of the World with high hopes. I love visiting botanical gardens in major cities, and I was expecting something along those lines here. The space itself is massive, with gardens themed after different countries and cultures...which is a cool concept in theory. In practice, though, a lot of the gardens felt underwhelming. Some sections were nicely done, but many just looked like patches of native grasses rather than carefully designed landscapes. If you’re hoping for beautifully manicured gardens and vibrant floral displays, you may end up disappointed. That said, it wasn’t bad for the price of admission, and it’s still a pleasant place for a long walk outdoors. With a bit of updating and attention to detail, this could really shine. As it stands, it’s an interesting but imperfect attraction in Berlin.

Gardens of the World is a beautiful and peaceful spot in Berlin, perfect for a day out with friends or family. You can even enjoy a small picnic here. It’s easy to reach by public transport, and there’s parking available too. There’s also a Lidl nearby, great for picking up snacks on the way. The cable car ride offers amazing views, and the gardens reflect different countries , a treat for nature lovers! Don’t miss the maze garden, it’s super fun, and you get a map at the entrance to help you explore. Tickets can be bought online, but I recommend getting them at the entrance — there are two quick counters. A must-visit if you’re looking for peace, fun, and a bit of adventure in the city!

Historical place museum
Nestled in the eastern part of Berlin, the Museum Berlin-Karlshorst stands as a poignant reminder of World War II's conclusion in Europe. This museum is located at the historic site where, on May 8th, 1945, German forces signed their unconditional surrender. The building itself has a rich history; it originally served as the officers' mess for the Wehrmacht pioneer school and later became the headquarters for Soviet Military Administration in Germany.
A must-visit for anyone interested in European history. The Museum Berlin-Karlshorst offers a powerful and detailed insight into World War II, especially the Eastern Front and the events surrounding Germany’s surrender. The exhibitions are informative, well-organized, and emotionally impactful. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place that makes you reflect. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and anyone wanting to better understand Europe’s past.

An amazing museum and completely free of charge. The exhibitions are well-curated, covering WWII and post-war history with depth and balance. All displays are presented in German, Russian, and English, which makes it accessible and easy to follow. There’s a lot to see inside, including authentic documents, weapons, propaganda, tanks outside, and multimedia content.

My favorite museum in Berlin. Simply the place where Germany signed its surrender during WW2. After the war ended, it was a headquarter for the soviets in Germany, with even Zhukov's office. The museum is a must visit for everyone that loves wars and history, like myself. You won't regret it. The entry is free but I'd strongly recommend some tips to help the maintenance of the building.

I visited the Museum Berlin-Karlshorst today. What an amazing experience to visit the site where WWII ended. A short ride on the S-Bahn from Berlin Alexanderplatz and another short (but beautiful) walk to the museum. The museum is free to enter. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even have free lockers to store belongings. The main floor is simply breathtaking. The very room from where Germany signed the surrender from the greatest war in history. The tables, the flags. The microphones. Everything is there. The detail explaining everything is there as well. On the 2nd floor are amazing artifacts from this era. Very well done and explained. Outside is old Soviet Military equipment from WWI. Having been to the Wannsee Conference house, and other sites, another house that played a major role in world history. This is a Must visit for history lovers. A do not miss while in Berlin. I loved my visit.
Michael M — Google review
Extremely informative museum, it displays the events on the Eastern Front in a way that is not influenced by politics nor propaganda and is generally ill-covered in school or documentaries. It features lots of original photos and documents, complemented by several small arms and four armoured vehicles outside, perfectly preserved. I would suggest planning one hour for a short visit and a bit less than two hours for a thorough tour.
Andrea T — Google review
A hidden gem outside the city’s main tourist path. Why go? This is where the unconditional surrender of the German armed forces was signed, officially ending World War II in Europe, truly remarkable! Everything is well organized, the location is conveniently close to an S-Bahn station, and the staff super profesional and welcoming.

This was one of the mosz hidden places in the former East-Germany military zone, because first the German Wehrmacht had the main headquarters overthere and after the WWII the Russian Army in Germany stayed there for 49 years! There are a lot of bunkers and other hidden buildings. Make a guided tour around there. After that you can visit one of most exciting book shops ...! Strongly recommended to history interested tourist and locals!
