The 3 different instructors we've had kept us super safe but encouraged us to be brave. We are all up on our feet and confident now so THANK YOU! As a complete beginner at 50, that's pretty good instructing from you guys.

The crew at Sennen Surfing Centre are absolute legends :) I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to surfing, Jackson & Dave were both super encouraging & positive, going above & beyond to make sure that I had an amazing experience. It was so much more than just a surfing lesson, the knowledge and expertise of these guys is unmatched & their kindness & generosity is next level, they even went out of their way to help me out with directions to/from the beach, bus timings and recommendations on the area. I cant recommend Sennen Surfing Centre any more highly, thank you, thank you, thank you :)

We had our first ever surf lesson today with the team and our instructor Henry was outstanding at giving us a fully laid back lesson while sharing his 10/10 knowledge of the waves. He was so energetic and enthusiastic and filled us both with such positivity. Dave helped us pick the perfect day to come for our first time and he was also so welcoming and knowledgeable, also so excited for us to begin! Amazing value for what we received. Thank you both so much, we will be seeing you next year!

PK Porthcurno is a fascinating museum located in Cornwall, UK, that delves into the history of global communication. It showcases how this once remote valley became a central hub for worldwide connectivity and explores its continued significance today and in the future. The museum highlights the pivotal role of telegraph cables in connecting distant locations, including across the Atlantic and as far as Australia. Visitors can learn about the evolution of telecommunications from undersea cables to modern internet technology.
Wonderful bit of history. A bit out of the way to get to, but the car parks fill up very quickly, so go early. Lots to see, hands on stuff for the kids. A great look back to when England was the first technological world leader. Amazing.
Robin M — Google review
Absolutely amazing bit of history. The ww2 bunker with all it's original equipment was really amazing to see. If you plan on visiting make sure you go up the tunnel to the cliff top its well worth it. People seem to forget it's there. The museum doesn't really get that busy because of Porthcurno Beach so you will probably have the place to yourself like i did. Staff are lovely and very helpful
Ben W — Google review
Really interesting museum all about the birth of global communication and an amazing WW2 bunker. Great for kids as there is lots to play with and even better for big kids as there’s loads to look at and learn. Dog friendly in the main museum and a great cafe and shop.
Harriet H — Google review
An excellent and informative museum that tells the story of the history of communications. It thoroughly entertained our initially skeptical six year old with a series of hands on activities. Whilst it is a little out of the way, the parking is free and the beach further down the valley is equally delightful.
Sam M — Google review
Great museum for young and old my 10yr old lad picked this place to go, and he loved it as did my 14 yr old daughter, there was even hands on stuff and we sent more code messages to each other, the under ground bunker was impressive as was the escape tunnel with its resident swallow nesting, all in a great few hours out. Parking is free if visiting the museum
Richard W — Google review
Great museum and friendly helpful staff. I only had an hour but learned alot and the assistant helped me to get a ticket that would allow me to go back. I will definitely revisit this interesting museum.

The Minack Theatre is a remarkable open-air theater nestled into the cliffs of Cornwall, near Land's End. Carved into the rock by the sea, it offers stunning views of Porthcurno Bay. Originally envisioned in the 1930s for a performance of The Tempest, it continues to host diverse productions today, including those by the RSC. Visitors can enjoy a unique experience watching performances against the backdrop of breathtaking scenery.
Come rain or shine, The Minack Theatre ceases to provide endlessly great performances - be they epic Shakespeare performances or promoting local bands - it is a definite must visit. I’ve been lucky to see many performances this year and look forward to the few remaining. The Minack Theatre is a spectacular open air theatre carved into the granite cliffs of West Cornwall, near Porthcurno Beach, and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Built on a single-handedly by Rowena cade in 1929, it has performances in a dramatic setting that blends the natural beauty with artistic expression. Such a joy to experience not only the performance but also the wild and natural beauty of us surrounding coastline and ocean life. The seating arrangements within the Minack are based on a tear system, please don’t worry, as I have sat in all of the tiers now and can see the stage and hear the sound quite clearly. 😊 When you visit, make sure to take a comfy seat and warm clothing (maybe a rain cover), especially towards the end of August as you never really know what weather to expect. I always treat my friend and I to a lovely picnic supper and que for the delightful Minack hot chocolate during the intermission. Make sure you arrive at-least 45 mins before the show to get to your seat, wrap up if needed, to have a nibble or two.. and then hunker down and enjoy the captivation of the show and the sublime coastal surroundings - you may even see a seal or Dolphin pass by. My new favourite day of the week.. Minack day.. 😊🙏✨

Amazing little place. Definitely book your ticket in advance. It is around £12 per person. It is a quick look around; the place is quite small but worth the visit. The experience is unforgettable. The view, the scenery, everything is so beautiful. Even the cafe offers an amazing experience and view. Worth the visit at least once in a lifetime. #travelwithtentbox

Great place and fantabulous views of the cliff and the sea! Mesmerising view of the turquoise blue sea! We went on dry sunny day and loved the views and the place. Amazing architecture and would get some worthy snaps! Sarah and Jane in the helpdesk ticket centre were very kind and helpful and sorted all our clarifications!
Fathima R — Google review
Highly recommend watching a show, it’s the most unique backdrop for a theatre. Worth paying for a seat close up as it’s not that much more expensive. Bring a jacket, cushion to sit on as it’s concrete or grass. And bring your own snacks too. Turn up an hour early to park up and get the best seats in the area you bought tickets for. If you’re booking a taxi, make sure it arrives early before the show ends otherwise they’ll be stuck on the single track lanes
Edwin L — Google review
What a surreal visit! Totally beautiful amd so many nooks and crannies to see. Our visit was cut slightly short due to a theatre group using it to practice (which was awesome, they were doing we will rock you!) But we saw enough to be wowed.

Absolutely lovely place. Great views over the sea, fabulous gardens and a historic amphitheatre too. They still have plays occasionally, we were lucky enough to go on a day that a man was doing a talk as a gardener from years gone by.
Janice N — Google review
Fantastic place. Just the history of it is mind boggling. What a woman of great strength and determination. Although there was no show on, just to walk amongst the structures, plants and museum. Great cafe and the views!! Breathtaking

What an absolutly fantastic experience The Minack Theatre’s history talk Meet Billy Rawlings" talks: Actor Mark Harandon portrays Billy Rawlings, the gardener who helped Rowena Cade build the theatre. These talks happen on selected days, The theatre also offers a dedicated Rowena Cade exhibition and virtual experiences that walk visitors through its creation and legacy. If you're planning a visit or want to catch a live talk, it's best to check their official site or contact them directly for the latest schedule and speaker details.

The iconic white building, located near Porthmeor Beach, provides an immersive experience with its ongoing and changing displays that showcase historic paintings, sculptures, ceramics, film, media, and photography. This must-see attraction houses seminal works by artists connected to St Ives as well as pieces from international artists.
Lovely display of various creative arts. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. Great location. Enjoy a stunning view of the beach from inside the building. Even the staircase is a genius display of art and architecture. Clean atmosphere and great display of artwork by some of the best artists.
Faye F — Google review
visited Tate St Ives and it felt like art meeting the ocean. The building itself is bright and open, almost sculpted by the sea breeze. I loved how the light poured in, making every piece feel alive. The works of Hepworth and Nicholson connected beautifully with the town’s spirit. The changing exhibitions kept it fresh and surprising. And stepping outside—those beach views were a masterpiece on their own.
AJay S — Google review
Wide selection of thought-provoking modern art, including a Kandinsky and large-scale installations. Great cafe on top, with super views of St Ives.
Gary B — Google review
don’t even know where to begin… the outside facade and the architecture in this building is amazing! sees one of the most wonderful beaches from the top and the waves are so peaceful. yet i had low expectations of its curation based on reviews here. i visited with my 6 yo daughter and i could not even do justice in close to three hours. the pieces are so good, galleries are so distinct, installations and interactives are balanced with laintings, and the works are amazing. staff was super helpful. shop selection especially books were lovely. i visited london tate many times for free but this experience was worth more than the 14£ ticket price. cafe was crowded as it can be visited for free but the best view is from the galleries.
Ezgi M — Google review
a lovely experience! most of the reviews i read said they were disappointed and that it wasnt worth the visit however the collection of art is beautiful though perhaps not accessible to those not into modern art. even still, i think the environment and the building itself its worth the visit - though i did get slightly lost and the gallery is smaller than i expected. even saying that, i could spend hours in here staring at the pieces. the cafe and shop are lovely too. staff are kind and welcoming. bought tickets online as part of the 16-25 tate collective for £5 which is well worth it!! maybe not worth anymore if youre not into modern art though.
Thea — Google review
The building itself is a beautiful round landmark overlooking Portmeor Beach. We stopped by for a short break and enjoyed a cream tea at the café on the 4th floor. The view was amazing, the cream tea was delicious, and the staff were super friendly
Mahsa K — Google review
Setting is amazing right by the sea, with a good cafe at the top selling nice, good value food. The main collection is small but interesting. I loved the exhibition.
Sarah C — Google review
Lovely gallery the big round building is beautiful and as you go in there are some sheltered outdoor seating area with cushions which is a nice spot to relax. Tickets can be purchased as you go in, and the galleries are on the third floor, there is a lift. On the fourth floor there is a gift shop and a cafe. We sat on the balcony. Amazing views of the sea.

Porthmeor Beach Cafe is a popular spot located on the Atlantic side of St Ives, offering stunning views of the beach and serving as an ideal place to watch surfers and sunsets. The cafe features heated booths for cooler months and offers a diverse menu ranging from build-your-own breakfasts to tapas, imaginative cocktails, and classic cream teas.
If you want amazing views, good coffee and breakfast this is the place to go. Food was good quality, hot and the sausages were amazing. Staff were very friendly, always willing to help. The waitress even went out of her way to get our little boy more strawberries. Excellent location, amazing views and lots of seating inside and outside. Very highly recommended 👌
Kellie H — Google review
The cafe lives up its reviews. The food was unique and tasty, and the service was good. It was a busy day, and after a parking nightmare, we were an hour late - but they called me, and they accommodated us. Even in the restaurant we had to move table and they were super proactive and helpful.
Nigel D — Google review
Absolutely superb breakfast, in a wonderful cafe with incredible views. The place is amazing, sat on the cliff face with the beach and sea right opposite, the views are superb. They have various seating areas, inside, in the pods (recommended) or on the benches on the lower level. The service was immaculate, they look after you, are set up with colouring kits for kids etc. We both had the Build Your Own breakfasts with various items. All were superb. Really really good. Cannot recommend highly enough and we’ll be back for a lunch or dinner in the next day or so. Loved it. Edited the review to reflect that we also had our evening meal here. And what a place! If you book at the right time you get to see a stunning sunset. Food wise the evening menu was delicious. We really enjoyed it. We shared scallops, pork tacos, crispy sea bass, tortilla, tomato and moz salad. The little fella had, as usual, chicken and chips.
Gary O — Google review
Amazing food with an even better view! We tried the tapas — halloumi, crab croquettes, scallops, and beetroot salad — all delicious, the scallops were a first for me (and did not disappoint!). Perfect spot to relax with a drink while looking out over Porthmeor Beach.
Rachel B — Google review
Fabulous! Definitely one of our new favourite spot in Cornwall to enjoy the ocean view and good quality food! Service impeccable! We spend around £40/50 pp because we had 2 beers and 2 glasses of Prosecco, otherwise we would have spent around £30 each tasting quality food! Highly recommended!
Micol M — Google review
Always a first choice for me if having lunch or dinner. Great tapas selection and the food is spot on. Lovely beach/sea view. Friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Fern — Google review
Had dinner with friends here on our last night in St Ives. We booked a pod that came with spectacular views of the beach and a beautiful sunset. The food was really good, the star of the show was the crispy sea bass but was impressed with all the dishes we had. Service was faultless, nothing was too much trouble. Anyone who visits here will be in for a treat but make sure you book in advance as it gets very busy.

Nature & Parks
Nestled in the picturesque town of St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden offers a captivating glimpse into the life and artistry of one of Britain's most celebrated sculptors. Preserved as it was in 1975, this enchanting space showcases an array of Hepworth's sculptures, drawings, photographs, and documents within her former home and studio. Managed by Tate St Ives, visitors can wander through her garden where many significant pieces remain in their original locations amidst lush subtropical plants.
I knew little of this sculptor when I visited and was ultimately transported by this little place. I read all about the lady in the room downstairs, which was very interesting. Having gone up to her work, I tried to follow the meanings in the book of her work and was totally lost. I put down the guide and just wandered into her garden on a sunny day. I took in all those fabulous sculptures once in the garden and loved them. I only took these 4 photos, I recommend just sitting and enjoying the garden. I could have spent hours in this amazing place. A great place to write.
Karen C — Google review
If you like Barbra Hepworth this is such a special museum. There's a lot of information about her life and you can see her studio where she worked. The garden is my favourite spot. It's one a beautifully peaceful place where you can walk or sit and look at her sculptures and the gardens that surround them. You can imagine how carefully she placed the sculptures because each of them seems to be framed by the others in some way. A visit to St Ives is not complete without a pilgrimage to this place, in my opinion.
Kat M — Google review
What beautiful place! Well kept gardens provide the backdrop for Barbara Hepworth’s perfect sculptures & artwork. We visited on a Sunday morning which was pretty quiet & felt miles away from the crowds of the town. Great place for some inspiration!
Louise G — Google review
absolutely beautiful. so well curated. super small location with it being Hepworth's house but its incredibly welcoming and inspiring. staff are all wonderfully friendly. there was a school trip happening on my visit which slightly hindered my experience but once they left it was beautifully tranquil. could spend all day there. joined tate collective for 16-25 year olds and only paid £5 for a ticket but itd be worth any price. already want to return
Thea — Google review
The museum's atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. Whether you're a seasoned museum -goer or just looking for an inspiring way to spend your afternoon, Barbara Hepworth Museum is a truly enriching experience that you won't want to miss.
Bartyuk M — Google review
I’m not a great fan of Hepworth’s work, but when in St Ives… it’s expensive for what, in essence is a ten minute walk around a garden. I’ve been told since, that the ticket also allows entry to the Tate, which if true, provides better value. However, there were no signs advertising this, and no talk of it at either reception desk, so perhaps the deal has been discontinued. For lovers of Barbara Hepworth it’s a must-see, of course, but I found very little to love in her sculptures.
Martyn D — Google review
The sculptor's home and garden provides a delightful setting for her sculptures. Her workshop shows the effort required to deliver such complex pieces of art
Bob D — Google review
While it maybe a small museum it is well worth a visit. The sculpture garden is full of her amazing sculptures- well worth taking the time to walk around and view the sculptures from different angles

St Ives Harbour is a charming and historic fishing port in Cornwall, UK. The harbor bustles with activity as fishing boats come and go, creating a picturesque scene for tourists to enjoy. Visitors can explore the sandy beach that stretches along the harbor, lined with small stores and fish 'n' chip spots. During low tide, colorful beached fishing boats create a vibrant display along the shore.
Stunning location, we did the park and ride (on train) from St Erth. Hassle free and beautiful views of Hayle beach and Carbis Bay. It’s a short walk into town, you can stay low or else you can climb up a hill and drop into town. There are lots of shops and places to eat, both street food and restaurants. Book ahead though because it’s busy. We took the Blue Thunder boat tour and saw some seals (would highly recommend)
Jonathan D — Google review
Well it’s a very quaint harbour . St Ives is a very busy place even out of season . If you want to park , get here early. It is a very photogenic place and has very aggressive seagulls . The harbour front is awash with pubs and coffee shops and the town is full of nice little artisan shops . Including Joe Downs , who makes the most amazing things out of glass . Her copper fish are my personal favourite. Enjoy your stay , be patient with the townsfolk who have to have deliveries to bring the food, drink and all the other things you will buy.
Jon R — Google review
I recently visited St Ives and it honestly felt like stepping into another world. On a sunny day, it’s like being transported to a foreign country – the sparkling turquoise sea, golden sands, and stunning scenery are simply breathtaking. The town itself has such a charming, welcoming atmosphere, with its winding streets, independent shops, and plenty of spots to sit and take it all in. Whether you’re strolling along the harbour, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying a drink with a view, everything about St Ives feels amazing. It’s one of those places that leaves you in awe and makes you want to return again and again.

Absolutely beautiful spot for a little rest and a bite to eat, parking is none existent so I wouldn’t even attempt driving down in to the town. I’d recommend parking up by the leisure centre and taking the 10 minute walk down the hill. Parking is £7 for 4hrs or £11 for the day.

Best beaches anywhere! Lots of interesting shops and small art galleries to visit. Not a place to drive around as roads very narrow so walking is essential and this can be steep at times but that does mean great views.
Sandra A — Google review
A truly pleasant, albeit often overcrowded place to be. Plenty of shops and restaurants with fantastic views out over the harbour. Seals can also sometimes be spotted within the harbour, although that sadly wasn't the case when I visited.

Fantabulous! Crystal clear water and very clean beach. Family friendly with lifeguards on duty.Lovely atmosphere and picturesque place.

St Michael's Mount, located in Marazion, is a captivating rocky island with a charming village, medieval church, and castle. It is a renowned landmark in the area and offers visitors an opportunity to explore its rich history through tours of the house and grounds. The picturesque 360-degree panoramas add to the allure of this medieval monastery. Marazion beach provides a stunning backdrop for swimming, making it an unforgettable experience.
Beautiful most see place. We got the boat over as the tide was high. But on low tide days you can walk along the causeway. Beautiful gardens, unfortunately the castle was closed.

A very nice experience. Make sure to wear suitable footwear such as trainers as paths can be difficult to climb or slippery ( depending on the weather ). I had a fun time climb walking up and down and the view was beautiful. Inside the castle was very interesting.

£28 to visit the castle/gardens, and £3 for the boat. I've always wanted to visit here, and glad that I finally have. I think it is overrated. The parking situation is a nightmare. The walk over the causeway was the only fun/interesting part. The walk upto the castle wasn't particularly challenging or difficult as I am able bodied, but several people did seem to find it challenging on such a hot day. Anyone with mobility or health issues will need to reassess visiting, as there are no wheelchair routes/ramps and the ground in several places is loose/cobble/rocky, with large steps and often you have to scramble up parts of the path. The shops are staggeringly overpriced, and we avoided buying anything from them. The garden was predominantly a large selection of succulents and palms with nothing of interest. The castle, wasn't particularly interesting with only a small potion of it accessible. The "gallery" they have on the way out had some interesting pictures/paintings but no information to give context to them. You can quite easily walk around the garden and castle within an hour. As others have mentioned, the causeway is tidal so make sure you are aware of the times as several people did get caught out while we were there.

St Michael’s Mount is amazing, the short boat ride to the Island followed by a short walk to the top gave beautiful views of the mainland. The castle and church and small are beautiful and very well maintained. My only tip would be to turn up early as it gets very busy once the tide goes out and walkway becomes usable.
Justin — Google review
Very beautiful historical site, and an enjoyable walk when the weather is right. Although I’d definitely avoid when rainy or windy. Went on a bank holiday Monday and there were quite a few rude tourists around which was unpleasant, but didn’t sour the experience for my family. The price for entry is very dear for what you get, but if you enjoy history, a good walk, or a beautiful view of the city then it is definitely worth it! (Plus, if you’re lucky you can see seals just outside the island!
Daniel P — Google review
The highest spot amongst the area, so you can see far distance when you stand at the top of the castle. The things exhibit in the castle didn’t catch much of my interest, only the huge spoon for roasting coffee beans at the time that when coffee introduced to the UK. The rest interesting would be maps to me.
Jen H — Google review
Simply beautiful!! Be aware of a few things, I came in a rainy day, at 9.45 am the tides were off until 2pm-ish but not to worry you can take the boat back if you missed the walk back. Anyway, the road to the castle involves old made stairs out of rock which can be slippery if you don't have proper shoes, Okies am uneven terrain as well. It takes about 10-15 minutes up the castle. The views are stupendous 😁 I came when the gardens were closed, sad, I've read good thing about it, but next time I'll check when they're open so I can visit again.
Florin S — Google review
It’s brilliant here! Keep an eye on the tide times so you can walk over the causeway, otherwise you need to get a boat. We had National Trust memberships so got to visit the castle for free. We went in the first week of September and dogs weren’t allowed, so just double check if it is out of season. Lots to do and see, and the castle is beautiful! Quite a few steps to go up and it’s very steep, so also worth bearing in mind.

St. Ives Bay is a picturesque crescent bay that boasts a long sandy beach and is home to several charming villages as well as the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse. The bay stretches for three miles from the Godrevy lighthouse to the Hayle river mouth, encompassing a series of beautiful beaches such as Godrevy, Gwithian, Mexico Towans, and Hayle Towans which connect at low tide.
If you are in Cornwall then St. Ives a must! Why? Come and see and if you manage to avoid crowds of tourists (possible), you will love this town and everything it has to offer. However, before you get here, you will probably admire St. Ives Bay is a postcard place.

Lovely bay with four separate beaches. Lots of accommodation and a lot of authentic shops, bars and cafes. Parking is a bit limited and this is a very busy town with tourists.

One of the best beaches in the UK. If you are a surfer or someone interested in exploring surfing you shouldn't miss this beach. I had my first surfing experience and I loved it. You can rent a surf board of your choice and a bodysuit for an affordable price. Note - Plan your parking if you are driving as this place doesn't have plenty of parking spaces. There is a small private parking lot near the beach but you may not get a bay easily.
Karthika R — Google review
Crystal clear beaches, amazing scenery. We visited at the end of May and got full sunshine throughly our visit. This beach is the busiest along the coastline, as it has a mini high street on Fort St. which is a 2 minute walk from the beach. Plenty of restaurants to choose from unlike other beaches nearby. I would advise getting the local train or public transport service to the area, as parking is limited.
M D — Google review
Travelling to St Ives by train from St Erth you can enjoy the Coastal views. Eating a Cornish Pastie and having a coffee on the seafront dodging seagulls. I really love St Ives.

Lovely beach. You can rent wet suits and surfboards at the kiosk and the waves are wonderful. Seems to be a very popular place for it. The beach goes on for a few miles around the coast so there is lots of bandwidth for walks or just relaxing on the beach. I hope to return again as I loved this beach.

Visitors can get up close with a diverse range of creatures including parrots, penguins, red pandas, donkeys, red squirrels, Asian otters, mini donkeys, pygmy goats, rabbits and guinea pigs.
If you're a lover of wildlife like my wife and I then you'll live this place. Plenty to see and do, the shows and feedings were reallt enjoyable and the staff were all very friendly. We went on a mixed day weather wise but still enjoyed our visit very much. Would love to retirn in future. We were holidaying in Cornwall so if you are, make the most of it and visit as it is a really great place

A great way to spend a couple of hours, so many birds to look at as well as couple of other animals like red pandas and donkeys, plenty to keep kids entertained with various play areas. Each member of staff we spoke to were either highly knowledgeable or very happy and easy to speak to. On the entry desk was a woman I think called Angie (I may be wrong) but she was incredibly happy and very funny. I'd highly recommend for any animal/ bird lovers or families with small kids
Kyle L — Google review
Highly recommend! We visited as nostalgia for my partner from when he was a child and took our two young children under 5. All the birds seemed happy and well looked after. We managed to plan the day around feedings and made time for lunch in the gap between feeds and soft play which my toddler loved! It's also really handy that they sell spare socks as I was wearing sandals on that particular visit and hadn't brought spare to help my little boy around the soft play. Food options looked good and affordable too! Will be visiting next summer for sure.

What a sweet afternoon out at paradise park, we took advantage of the online offer and the journey was easy to get to by car with lots of signs. The staff were friendly at reception and my children were really excited throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere was calm and we didn’t feel rushed. We went on a busy day in August, even though the shows had lots of spectators, the park seemed spacious for everyone and this did not distract from our day. The range of birds were magnificent and we especially loved the Red pandas. The keepers were very knowledgeable and you could see that the enclosures were clean and the animals were calm. The play barn slides were a huge hit and great to cool off. There was a great range of toilets and open pathways for disabled access or pushchairs. We really enjoyed our visit and I would recommend visiting.

Amazing place. Small but spent 5 hours there. The animal conservation efforts are outstanding, the talks are informative, the rangers were fantastic. Shout out to Archie. The kids loved it. Soft play and picnic areas only add to it. Highly recommend

Really good. Thought it would be an hour walk around and a little boaring ,but was pleasantly surprised. Was there for around 3/4 hours. The birds of prey show was really impressive and very informative. The kids didn't t moan they got board whilst we were there either, which they usually do so it must of been good. Cafe was a bit steep so we went to eat somewhere else but the whole experience was amazing. Would definitely go again. 😊

Such a beautiful and well thought out park. You never go more than a few steps without a bench being handy for a break which was perfect for elderly family member that came with us. The only thing you pay extra for was the train, which was a small fee and well worth it for the lovely tunnel of lights. They have every type of bird and lots of events to attend throughout the day with different animal feedings and bird shows. We didn't make it inside the soft play as there was so much to see but its a great addition for if theres a shower. There were several different places for the kids to play as well as farm animals to feed which is always a hit. We had the best day here, all the staff were really friendly and the park was so well looked after. We will be back again!

Flambards Theme Park in Helston offers an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers with its array of big rides, including rollercoasters and log flumes, as well as gentler options like the Teacups and Space Shuttles. The park also features attractions such as the Dino Express and go-karts. Families can enjoy picnic spots throughout the park.
Flambards Theme Park, located in Helston, Cornwall, is a family-friendly attraction that offers a mix of rides, historical exhibits, and entertainment. It is particularly popular with families and younger children, though it also provides enjoyment for all ages. The park features a range of rides, from gentle attractions for toddlers to more thrilling rides for older kids and adults, including roller coasters and water rides. One of its standout features is the Victorian Village and Britain in the Blitz exhibitions, which are immersive and detailed historical recreations, offering an educational aspect to the park that I really enjoyed. Flambards is known for its friendly staff and clean facilities, and I appreciated the combination of traditional theme park fun with the added cultural exhibits. While some may find the selection of rides more suited to younger children than thrill-seeking teens, the park's mix of activities ensures there is something for everyone. Overall, Flambards Theme Park is praised for being a well-rounded destination with a good balance of entertainment, history, and family fun, making it a popular day out in Cornwall.

Ah Flambards! What trip to Cornwall would be complete without a visit here!? Is it stuffed full with rides? Nope, but it doesn't need to be! It's lowered it's prices because many of the big rides are no longer running, couple big ones remain and lots of smaller ones, a great place to visit for under 12s I'd say. Where you really get your moneys worth is the big soft play area with decent hot food and friendly staff, the victorian streets area is awesome, we loved it and the blitz area is really interesting too! A half day out, and a very good one at that!

I think its great how they have cheaper days so you can just visit the Victorian village and indoor attractions, £8 on I think Tuesday and Thursday it was perfect for us as we don't like rides so would have paid well over the odds just to stay inside I think its £22 on the other days, I have to say the Victorian Village was absolutely amazing I loved it, it truly felt like you had gone back in time and was walking the street past all the shops they were all so detailed with real props we had an excellent time I honestly can't believe how good it was, I hope I can go back again soon and I highly recommend a visit just to see these indoor exhibits, the ladies in the shop after were fantastic really knowledgeable about all off it and seemed passionate about the collection she was even kind enough to find some penny's from the penny press for me as it was out of order and I'm an avid collector! Excellent experience 👏
Kay — Google review
It's small, but good for smaller kids and indoor play is included, but was a little disappointing for my elder daughter as there weren't many rides suitable for her, but it's also not any where near as expensive as other similar places. Would we go again? Yes, knowing exactly what it is, it's worth it. My younger girls loved it!

Well, we’re can I start……. Absolutely fantastic brilliant place. I had read some reviews that it was “dated” etc, but I found this place extremely well manicured and looked after, it was a very pleasant surprise. The rides were fantastic for all ages and my kids absolutely loved their day out, as did I!!! Not much ques at all for the rides the kids were absolutely delighted. Spotless clean park, the rides in great order and all the staff were lovely people. I and my family will definitely be back and anyone I know on holiday down these parts I will make sure they know about this place. 10/10

Great little theme park with some little rides for the little ones and a few bigger rides for the older ones. Lots of information about the exhibits there and a wonderful Victorian town recreation, so things for people of all ages. There is also access for wheelchairs everywhere and a very good accessable changing room. The staff were great and the atmosphere was excellent.

Went with the grandchildren, ages 14-7 They loved it. It's not the cheapest place to visit but it appears to be well worth the money if you decide to go. There really ia something for every taste and age. They offer cheaper family tickets and a free return ticket. Often the local paper has vouchers, particularly during school holidays, to get discounted entry. Definitely worth picking up a "Cornishman" or similar if you are visiting the area
Vikki S — Google review
I was having low expectations here after looking at the recent bad reviews at this place. But this very tiny theme park is actually pretty lovely and fun! My favourite rides here were the log flume and the drop tower! Their only rollercoaster was closed, probably for maintenance. The go karts were an extra £5. I wasn't a big fan of the bumper cars and the waltzer here though and they didn't offer enough food options here though. But I mostly had a fun time! I also find it weird how it's dog friendly especially since it's a theme park. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Kynance Cove, located just a mile away from mainland Britain's most southerly point at Lizard Point, offers a stunning blend of natural beauty. With its inky black cliffs, rust-red serpentine rocks, and offshore islands to explore, this National Trust-owned coastal area is a popular destination for visitors. The cove features white sands and an aquamarine sea surrounded by ancient rock stacks of green and red stone.
Beautiful cove. Get there when tide is out as you can access the two sides and coves, plus you can access the caves. If driving, make sure you get there before 11ish as car park fills up. Car park managed by national trust who are friendly and full of information. 2 ways down and up. One us a path all the way. The other is path, steps and rocks. Cafe is good. Shaded areas plus deckchairs. Toilets available. Views amazing. Water clear.
Diddlyism I — Google review
Kynance Cove is absolutely spectacular. The water is a beautiful mix of blue and green, the rock formations are incredible to climb and admire. There are also caves to explore. The most important thing is - CHECK TIDE TIMES before you go! The cove completely changes with the tide. When it’s out, you can reach the second part of the beach with all the amazing rocks and caves. The best time to go is around the lowest tide point (you can find this easily by Googling “Kynance Cove tide times”). The best time to arrive is about 30–60 minutes before low tide is shown online. That’s when access to both beaches is possible. The tide starts to come back after about 2h ( from the time it was at it is lowest point) and can quickly cut off access to the caves and second beach. People are often swimming and playing in the water completely unaware that the tide is coming in, as this is not visible from every side of the beach. When a tide chart says for example- “High tide 3:30pm,” that’s the peak. The water starts rising about 3hours before that covering more land, so you have to be careful not to be cut off by the tide.
Dorota K — Google review
Absolutely stunning views as you walk down to the beach, worth stopping just to take it all in. The walk down (and back up!) is a bit of a hike, so wear comfy shoes, but the beach itself is peaceful and beautiful. A great spot if you don’t mind the climb.
Ana C — Google review
Speechless, the descent is doable for most (not like the climb down to Lantic bay if that helps) once you reach the bottom it’s nothing but small to large smooth rocks so good shoes and confident footing helps. Once the tide is out the beach is exposed which leads to another world of coves, caves and water perfect for swimming when the waves aren’t crashing in on a rough day. Go for it, you won’t regret! (Toilets available at the car park)
Miss D — Google review
Simply stunning and unique (but time your visit to avoid the crowds) Probably the most beautiful beach in the UK - but get there early! We arrived about 9.30am, it was fairly quiet, parking was easy (parking is cash or Ringo). The walk down was fun - less so if you have prams as it’s rocky but my 5 year old coped well - it takes less than ten minutes. We were taken aback by the view as you approach the shoreline, its stunning - with white sand and warm, clear sea. We loved exploring the different sections of beach as well as the caves and inlets. It was relatively quiet and we had large sections of water and sand to ourselves (some of the small beaches we did actually have to ourselves). We had drinks at the cafe, which had plenty of outdoor seats and no queue. However, once the tide came in around midday/1pm and closed off a large section of beach it became very loud and crowded. We left around this time, with lots of people only just arriving - on our way back to the car we turned to see the cove … which was now absolutely rammed and did not look fun!
Keith D — Google review
I visited Kynance Cove on Friday 8 August 2025 with my partner and three children. I drove in from Lizard Point Holiday Park which is only a ten minute drive away. It is signposted and easy enough to find the carpark. To experience the full beauty of this beach and to make a day of it I would recommend visiting on a day when it is low tide as this is a tidal beach. The low tide was around 11.30am during my visit with high tide around 5pm so this was the perfect day to visit. You can google the tide times. I would also recommend arriving early and being prepared to avoid the masses. On arrival staff were directing people on where to park in an organised fashion. There is the main carpark then a large overflow carpark with ample spaces to park and you are directed where to park on busy days during peak times. I paid five pounds for up to four hours. It is ten pounds for up to eight hours and free to park if you are a member of the national trust. You would need your NT card to scan. It is cash only or download the Just Park app before you arrive as the signal is hit and miss here. There are toilets on the main carpark and toilets down at the cafe on the beach. The beach is located about a ten minute walk from the carparks with staff to assist anyone with questions. The main route down to the beach is not suitable for prams or beach trolleys. After a few minutes there are steps to navigate and on entrance to the beach it is rocky and uneven. I advise to have a rucksack or suitable bag and to to take it easy with children. Its hard going on the way back up especially if its a hot day. It is well worth it though. The views on the way down are stunning and reveals the full beauty of Kynance Cove. When at the bottom you are surrounded by beautiful serpentine cliffs and rocks which splits the beach up into different sections with different parts of the sea to go in if you wish to. The sea is turquoise and its such a picturesque beach. There is plenty of rockpools and caves for the children to play in and there are plenty of areas to set up on the sand. Its a beautiful place and gives you the feeling you are secluded on a secret beach that only reveals itself at certain times. This beach is not lifeguarded and the tide can come in very quickly and if unaware you could become trapped in areas but people were aware of this when I was there. There is signage to make people aware. There is a mermaid pool at the far end of the beach where some of the adults were jumping into from around 25 feet by climbing up a rock. It is well known for this. The access to this is quite tricky with younger children as you have to wade through the sea at around three feet deep and next to the cliffs it can be quite rough with the waves crashing onto them. There is a cafe located a couple of minutes walk up uneven terrain at the entrance to the beach. It sells ice cream and other food such as chips etc and the toilets are located near to the cafe with a little shower outside. The cafe are helpful with any allergies and will try to offer options. They seemed educated on coeliacs as my daughter is a coeliac. They offered her ice cream separate from the back to avoid cross contamination. The tide came in quick and we spent three and a half hours on the beach before the trek back up. It is well worth the visit to this famous cove and the views and scenery are beautiful. There are also coastal walks you can do and some people seemed to be arriving later to do this as all of it will be submerged at high tide. On exiting the carpark it can be quite tight due to how the staff pack the cars in but we had no problems.
Daniel A — Google review
The national trust car park is open all hours so perfect for late evening/early morning visits, plenty of parking spaces available within the main car park and overflow. Kynance Cove itself is stunning and one of the highlights of our Cornwall trip. Such a nice place to swim, or have a scenic coffee break. Some nice coastal walks surrounding the area, with pathways to Lizard point.

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a rescue and rehabilitation center for seals and sea lions, as well as home to otters, penguins, ponies, and goats. It's a dog-friendly attraction where visitors can stroll around with their furry friends on a lead. The sanctuary offers 42 acres of land for exploration, including woodland walks and various amenities for dogs. Visitors can witness animal welfare in action by learning about dramatic rescues and meeting the recuperating marine animals.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary near Gweek is a really enjoyable and worthwhile day out. We spent a good few hours walking around the different parts of the sanctuary, from The Hospital (no patients on our visit) to the Common Seals and beyond. There are scheduled talks throughout the day in various areas, and feeding times are always a highlight – the seals are truly majestic creatures to watch up close. One thing I found particularly interesting was learning that they no longer run breeding programmes. Although they successfully raised pups, once released many struggled to survive in the wild because they weren’t naturally wary of humans. Instead, the sanctuary now focuses fully on rescue, rehabilitation, and release, which feels much more in line with their mission. It’s clear the whole place is designed around giving injured or vulnerable seals the best chance of recovery and a return to the wild. The staff are knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do, which really adds to the experience. As an added bonus, the ticket allows you to return as many times as you like for free within the year after your purchase – great value if you’re local or visit Cornwall regularly. I’d definitely recommend going at least once; it’s a mix of education, conservation, and an enjoyable family-friendly outing. Also, if you book online via Love to Visit, you can get a 20% discount, which is worth checking out. Overall, a lovely and meaningful experience.

Had a couple of trips here during our holiday in Gweek , once you have brought your ticket you can go as many times as you like for a year! Fantastic views here and plenty of places to have a picnic as well as look at the seals and puffins . Didn’t see any beavers in the secret creek but a nice woodland walk to their home . Recommend buying tickets in advance to get a good discount

Truly a heart warming and wonderful place. The programme they follow to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the seals is magnificent. If you watch the Puffins long enough they start doing all manor of silly things. Even though the beaver was asleep, to see what they achieve with their forest management skills is amazing. The farm animals are lovely. And the Ancient forest the sanctuary is set on is oozing history. Im excited to come again and see where they have gotten upto with their remodeling of some of the enclosures for the seals. The plans they have on show look needed, beneficial and helpful in the sanctuaries future goals. Highly recommend. Oh...and the gift shops great too!

What a spot! We did the VIP breakfast and Dawson was a fantastic tour guide and the breakfast hit the spot. I would 100% recommend a visit and you could definitely spend a few hours or a morning just wondering around and watching the seals and other wildlife. If your in the area stop in...

Would definitely recommend!! Very sweet to see the seals. And what a beautiful setting to be in. Got to do the quiz whilst we walked around which was a challenge even for us adults!! Lots of parking. We went at 10 am on a Sunday at the end of September. There is a cafe there but we didn't use it. Lots of talks and feeding to watch. Didn't manage to see the beavers unfortunately. Long walk to do and picnic areas. Would be a good half day to a day activity. Kid friendly and wheelchair/ push chair friendly.

I wanted to come here for a while, but holiday days & timings just didn't seem to work out, but this week I finally managed it & I was not disappointed at all. From the warm welcome as you enter, this place just feels so warm & enjoyable as you walk around to meet with the seals, etc. We were able to listen to the talks & experience the fun & joy during the seals feeding time. The team taking care of these animals were helpful, knowledgeable & clearly love their jobs & time spent with them. A great visit & time for us spent walking the park taking photos, plus a well enjoyed cup of tea in the sunshine. Thanks to all the team during our visit, we plan to visit again ASAP.

Outdoor Activities
Perranporth Beach is a stunning 3-mile stretch of golden sand in Cornwall, known for its beauty and popularity among surfers and beachgoers. At low tide, the expansive beach is perfect for activities like sunbathing, surfing, and exploring rock pools. The area also features towering sand dunes and a tidal pool at Chapel Rock. Additionally, the beach is home to unique amenities such as The Watering Hole, Britain's only bar on the beach.
Can’t go wrong with this beach. Absolutely massive. Great golden sands, dunes. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking maybe even paddle boarding if it’s flat. Rock pools to explore as well as caves and dunes. Plenty of shops around. Big pub on the beach. Dogs on leads welcome and off leads further out. Worth a visit.

Stunning place to go for a sunset! Chapel rock is a lovely feature in the middle complete with tidal pool that was very popular. Plenty of facilities around and places to eat.
Laura C — Google review
An absolutely stunning place to visit! The beach is clean and tidy, plenty of dogs around but no dog mess, plenty of people but nobody littering, the atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing watching adults embrace the nature, children enjoy the sand and dogs bouncing around saying hello to each other as they enjoy the waves! The parking is difficult but worth it, clear parking prices and ideally located. We spent at least 12 hours here over the space of 3 days! Amazing place.

Amazing beach with lots of rock pools and caves to explore! Waves are fantastic for surfing and boogie boarding. The life guards are knowledgeable about the tides and do a great job at making sure everyone knows where to be when in the water. Dog friendly all year round and a great high street nearby to do some shopping.
Shannon J — Google review
Wow this is by far a very beautiful beach. We came on holiday and came here in the evenings. We were able to walk around where the rock pools are where there were fish and a pool to swim in. An absolute lovley place to come. There are bars and an ice cream shop that give good portions. You definitely won't be disappointed

Perranporth Beach is a beautiful, wide, flat stretch of golden sand that’s perfect for families, beachgoers, and watersport enthusiasts. The beach is great for bodyboarding and skimboarding, especially when the tide is out, leaving plenty of space to play and explore. Just be aware that the tide comes in very quickly, so it’s good to keep an eye on it! There’s a small car park right by the beach which is really convenient, though it can fill up quickly during peak times. The surrounding area has a good mix of bars, restaurants, and shops close to the seafront, making it easy to grab a bite or browse. One downside we found was that many of the local eateries closed quite early — by 5pm most places had stopped serving food, which made it a bit difficult to find somewhere for an evening meal. It’s definitely worth planning ahead or eating earlier in the day if you’re visiting. Overall, it’s a lovely beach with a laid-back vibe, great for a day in the sun — just don’t leave dinner too late!
Louise C — Google review
Beautiful huge sandy beach. The beach is huge, There are food and drink places located on the beach and toilets a short walk off the beach in the beachfront carpark. Parking is ample with a carpark right on the beachfront, if this is full there is an overflow carpark a short walk up the hill. The hill is pretty steep and it is around a 5-10minute walk, so if you want to park on the beach front I would recommend getting there early as it fills up quickly in nice weather. Lifeguards are on duty at this beach. The beach has lots of cliffs and rockpools to explore.
Cassie P — Google review
Perranporth Beach is absolutely stunning and such a joy to visit. It’s a huge, beautiful stretch of sand that feels endless, perfect for a long walk while taking in the sea views. What makes it even better is how dog friendly it is – our four-legged friend loved running along the sand and splashing in the waves, and there’s so much space for them to enjoy. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it’s one of those beaches you can happily spend hours exploring. A truly beautiful spot that’s perfect for both people and dogs alike!

Lizard Adventure offers a variety of thrilling activities such as kayaking, coasteering, stand-up paddleboarding, and cliff climbing in the picturesque Lizard Peninsula. Suitable for individuals aged 8 and above, the knowledgeable team provides an unforgettable experience including exploring caves, seal spotting, paddling through coastal waters, and scaling rugged cliffs.
We visited on April 1, 2025. The lizard adventure guys were fantastic. We had a family of five with varying degrees of comfort in the water. They made the entire experience fantastic for everyone. The water was wonderful. Their equipment is top-notch. This setting is stunningly beautiful. The experience was we will always remember for an entire lifetime. If you’re looking for a fun family activity that your family will never forget, this is it. Highly recommend.

Fantastic kayaking session on 21st June. Four of us went out with Adam Hawker who was very informative, helpful and relaxed! We were all novices and a little nervous to start with but soon got into it. We were amazed to find that we had covered about 3 miles in all. Saw a seal pop his head up, heard peregrine's on the cliff top and Adam showed us some jellyfish. Would definitely do it again. Loved exploring the nooks and crannies of the coastline.

We booked a group kayaking session for 8 and had an incredible experience with Lizard Adventure. Our guide, Ru, was fantastic! He made sure everyone felt comfortable and included, regardless of their confidence or ability in the water. His knowledge of the local environment and wildlife added a fascinating and educational element to the trip, making it not only fun but also really memorable. The session struck the perfect balance between adventure and learning. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend Lizard Adventure to anyone considering a kayaking experience!
Danielle — Google review
Had a fantastic time with Chris Brown recently, superb coach who chose an appropriate venue, explained things really well, assessed my groups abilities and tailored the event accordingly, couldn't fault this! Thank you so much.

Great provider: very nice staff, super flexible and spontaneous when booking! We had a great kayaking tour with guide Adam along the coast. We were also able to go into small caves. He made sure that there was something for everyone and offered lots of optional little challenges such as driving between narrow rocks. We also saw a seal right by our kayaks. Simply breathtaking.

We had a fantastic kayak trip on the Cadgwith coast! The communication with Lizard Adventures was excellent and they were very flexible to our needs. Adam was an excellent guide who enthusiastically taught us helpful kayaking techniques and a lot about the coast. He guided us safely into impressive caves and through spectacular rock formations. Many thanks for everything! Highly recommended!!!
E K — Google review
Absolutely amazing kayak tour around The Lizard with Adam! He was a brilliant guide, super knowledgeable about the local area and took us on an unforgettable trip along the stunning coastline. We had so much fun navigating through the caves and rock gardens, and the highlight was definitely seeing all the seals!

We went coasteering with Joe in the Lizard yesterday and had an absolutely amazing experience. We already loved the coastal walks in the area, but climbing cliffs, swimming through sea caves, jumping off rocks, and even visiting an old smugglers’ cave took the adventure to a whole new level. Joe knows the area like the back of his hand. He explained everything clearly and made us feel completely safe — even those in our family who aren’t naturally confident in the water. We were well equipped with winter wetsuits, helmets, and buoyancy aids, which kept us comfortable throughout. Highly recommended — a truly unforgettable adventure!

Lizard Lighthouse, located on the headland of Lizard Point, boasts a striking twin-tower structure that has been guiding seafarers since 1751. The lighthouse complex offers a unique visitor experience, with well-appointed cottages available for stays and a visitor center featuring interactive displays. Visitors can join tours to witness the operational side of the lighthouse and enjoy breathtaking views from the top. The site also houses a gift shop offering beautiful local souvenirs.
A really fascinating place to visit. The visitor centre is great and has lots of interactive displays. The tour guide was amazing. So friendly, funny and informative and obviously has a great passion for the place. The tour up is not too many steps but the last flight is very steep but still manageable. It was so interesting to get right up close to the light. And amazing views. An unexpected highlight of our day.
Nicola R — Google review
The old, historic lighthouse at Lizard Point in Cornwall began operating in 1752 and marks the southernmost point of the continental part of Great Britain. In 1998, the lighthouse was automated but still retains many historical features. The Lizard Lighthouse is the second oldest operational lighthouse in the UK. The building is listed as a Grade II historic monument. Unfortunately, we couldn't peek inside as it's only open on specific days, but it's worth visiting because the exterior is also incredibly interesting. Along the path from Lizard Point to the Lizard Lighthouse, there are spectacular views.
MIRELA G — Google review
Such a shame the lighthouse is closed at the moment but still a beautiful spot to visit and photograph this wild part of the coast. Take change for the car park, signal for Pay by Phone is patchy. You can walk along the coastal path although steep and not accessible for pushchairs/wheelchairs.
Faye A — Google review
Lovely visit to the lizard lighthouse and museum. Lorraine the tour guide was great. She has a great personality, with great respect, and very informative about the history and the people who lived and worked at the lighthouse. The lighthouse itself is fascinating. Great views from the top. Be warned the last set of stairs to the light are steep
Kevin B — Google review
Well. Where to start... we stayed in the Lizard lighthouse cottages. Amazing. Well appointed clean and highly recommended. There are multiple let’s, we had the “disused” tower, brilliant up there in a storm! The visitors centre was excellent and we were lucky to get on the tour of the working side of the lighthouse. The views were amazing and good local pubs and people. Also lucky to see the Lifeboat training with the local Coastguard Helicopter. Be warned though. This is an operational lighthouse, that’s been keeping mariners safe for many years. It has a fog horn. It goes off when required. I loved it but the wife was less enthused. Ear plugs are provided!
Mike D — Google review
Absolutely perfect time at this wonderful location!..highly recommend this for an interesting and informative visit. Firstly a tour of the museum and then a guided tour up the lighthouse itself via the fog horns and properties attached to the lighthouse. Extremely informative guide and stunning views from the top of the lighthouse. Disability access not possible in the lighthouse itself (depending on disability of course) as access to the top is via narrow stairs and the last part is a ladder…small gift shop no cafe however hot drink machine inside gift shop. No toilets at the lighthouse they are located in the National Trust car park which is the only available parking for this attraction….maybe 10 minutes at the most on foot to the lighthouse from car park. Suitable footwear required for obvious reasons

Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Interesting inside to see the workings and importance of the lighthouse and its history. Great gift shop with some beautiful local gifts to buy. Stunning views.
Maria M — Google review
The wife decided we should visit this place & i wasn't looking forwards to it one bit. I have to admit, i was wrong. I loved the whole experience. Who thought that touring a lighthouse could be so interesting, but the staff were so knowledgeable & enthusiastic that it was a brilliant experience. The only negative thing i have to say is 'do not be foolish enough to purchase a hot drink from the gift shop - it was horrendous'. Everything else gets top marks

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, located near Truro, is a traditional cider brewery that offers guided tours of the cider-making process and tastings of their delicious products. Visitors can also enjoy tractor rides through apple orchards, meet farm animals, and sample award-winning ciders and juices even on rainy days. The farm is dog-friendly and features an Old Bottlery Restaurant serving dishes made with seasonal ingredients from the farm.
Fantastic day out for the family with lots to see and do! The tractor tour was fantastic, the cider tasting (naturally) was very enjoyable. Kids can pet animals, learn history and sample some delicious Cornish scones and ice cream

Haven't been since I was a kid and so much has changed and for the better! This place is a must visit, I took my parents and my two children, one 3 and one 6 months. Cannot fault the day! The staff were just so lovely and helpful throughout. We had cream tea and cheese scones as well and I must say very nice! Was so cool to see the makings of it all. We booked the self tour and tractor ride. Really was a great day, and the animals are very well looked after. Very reasonable priced too. Thanks for making memories for the next generation of our family ❤️

I’d recommend going here, no matter the time of year or weather. We arrived and took a tour through the factory and then a tractor ride around the Orchards. We went around the Cyder Museum and then at the end up into the tasting room where you can try their different fizzy drinks, soft drinks, jams, chutneys and more products. We had lunch in the café, which was lovely. When we finished, we went into the shop where they were having a black Friday sale and we purchased lots of Christmas presents.
Paige — Google review
Our second visit and it was just as great as the first. Very relaxed, clean with friendly staff . Take things at your own pace, we did the tour and tractor ride this time and the kids loved it. Having a spot the animal activity on the ride was a great touch. The kids also loved being able to get involved with the tasting on the tour. And of course we had to take some jams, drinks and souvenirs home too.
Natalie D — Google review
Given the good reviews, I was really excited to visit here. I was rather let down by the experience. I paid for the taste master pass which allowed you to have some tastings. That was probably the only enjoyable part unfortunately. I was told the entire place was dog friendly apart from the processing / production factory but once in, you actually couldn’t go into one of the main tasting areas (the jam room) either. This made paying for the tasting pass a lot less value for money especially as a solo attendee with a dog. Additionally, you’re given a map to follow around but it is essentially a small courtyard with a restaurant, benches outdoors, and a tiny enclosure with a horse and a few goats. I’d say if you’re nearby, pop in and visit for free. If you’re more than 20 minutes away, I wouldn’t bother.
Jessica B — Google review
My favourite part of the trip! Seeing how it’s all made was fascinating, learning how it was made back when it started was interesting. Getting to walk through the history of it all was so pleasurable. I love horses so getting to see shadow the shire horse was a bonus. There’s a little farm, a little car show room. The tasting room - now let me tell you the most aesthetically pleasing room I’ve been in. The lady who served us during the tasting was with us from start to finish, sharing the history and been very pleasant and friendly. I wish I’d got her name, we was so swept up in tasting and sharing the information, totally forgot about names. 😅 Even my partner, who’s not a big drinker at all really enjoyed it as she was doing it for me and didn’t think she’d enjoy it as much but she really did. 😄 I didn’t get many pictures, I mainly filmed videos for a reel that’s on my instagram. Came away with some goodies, well you have to!
Lorna A — Google review
I had an amazing morning out at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, I booked a tractor tour of the apple trees and it was great. The route of the main building showed how they produce the products. Tried sampling the chutney and jams which was good. (especially if you want to try before you buy !!) Had dinner there well tastes. Then did the motor museum the history of cider making was good. Then went up stairs to sample a few different ciders wine etc. Omg the staff were so helpful and friendly, you do need to pay for this service but trust me it was well worth it!!
Helen C — Google review
I would highly recommend a visit to the Cyder farm if you haven’t been before. I have been to many breweries and distilleries but this was a different experience. No need for a guided tour as the self guided tour offered enough information and being able to stroll at your own pace. Cheaper if you book ahead and also offer blue light discount. Wide variety of cyders, gin, wine and soft drinks to taste. Reasonably priced cafe offering huge scones!

Fistral Beach is a stunning spot, especially popular with surfers thanks to its consistent waves. The golden sands and dramatic coastline make it a great place to relax or take a scenic walk. It can get busy during peak times, but there's a lively atmosphere and plenty of space to spread out. Great facilities nearby, including cafes and surf shops. Perfect for both beach lovers and wave chasers!

It’s a big, long stretch of golden sand with plenty of space whether you’re there to surf, sunbathe, or just enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore. The beach is dog-friendly, too, and it was a wonderful sight watching so many dogs enjoying a run on the beach. It has a really relaxed, welcoming vibe with a few lovely places to eat nearby, including a little café and an ice cream shop – perfect for a treat after a swim or walk. There are also a few shops around selling beachwear and souvenirs, which is handy if you need anything last minute. There is a surf school as well. The facilities are good – the toilets are free and relatively clean, and there are even showers to rinse off after being in the sea. Whether you’re into surfing or just want to relax by the coast, Fistral is a fantastic place to spend the day. Highly recommended!

Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay

Situated on Towan Promenade in the heart of Newquay, Blue Reef Aquarium is a must-visit for those looking to embark on an extraordinary undersea adventure. With 40 naturally themed habitats showcasing sea creatures from Cornish coasts and exotic realms, visitors can marvel at loggerhead sea turtles, reef sharks, and a variety of colorful fish through a captivating underwater tunnel. The aquarium offers informative talks, feeding sessions, and special events throughout the year.
For DISABLED VISITORS We visited here today (beginning of September 2025) and I just wanted to share the good and bad bits about this attraction for you (just to make it easier) 🤓: PARKING nearby on street is possible with a Blue Badge only (3 hr limit) (The Blue Reef/Aquarium is located right at the bottom of the Town after a very, very steep hill 😳). I took my pavement mobility scooter 🛵 down; which was also very easy to use when we went round the Blue Reef Aquarium. However, unless you have either a huge battery pack or a powered wheelchair 🧑‍🦼 it will not be able to get you up the hill afterwards!😬 We had to push my old one!!🤪 So I’d advise you to get dropped nearly outside and have your Mobility Scooter 🛵 or wheelchair 🦼 and park on the road with your Blue Badge to make it much easier. CAR PARKS 🅿️ There are 2 big ones at the top of the hill. One is short stay and the other is longer stay. ACCESSIBILITY IN BLUE REEF It’s actually almost perfect 👌🏼 for people with their Mobility wheels 🛞 (or pushchairs for that matter 👩‍🍼👨‍🍼) There’s no discount available for us; but they do seem to have thought about disabled access. There is a disabled toilet on the right before the desk where you pay. There’s also a lift up to the next floor where the shop and the enormous tank is. So, my friends, I hope this helps you and gives you an idea 💡 of what to expect if you’re thinking of visiting. With a bit of planning, it’s definitely worth a visit to see the wonderful sea creatures: Turtles, sharks, terrapins, sea urchins, seahorses, and so many types of fish 🐟. Have a great time! With love xx
Emma M — Google review
There's good and bad, I'll start with the bad. Price is a bit steep for size of place and in comparison to other aquariums. You can get 2 for 1 at other sites of the same company but not here for some reason! Talks spread out over day yet you have done it in 40 minutes even at a slow pace as that many people crammed in your pushed through like cattle, they should have multiple talks in each section throughout day and only allow so many in at a time to make it more enjoyable. I got to hear the octopus but couldn't see it as it was so crammed in the talk was next to useless. Too many kids(under 7)out of control running into you. Not much information to read Hasn't changed much since last went 8 year ago sadly except price gone up. The good Some lovely fish that look healthy shark tank is nice and probably main attraction, yet nobody about to ask anything so let's it down. It has a roof so keeps u dry for an hour. I wouldn't go again at it's current price, lack of info throughout and more talks.
Craig R — Google review
Its a nice little place, a lot smaller than I thought it would be but well worth the money and its ideal for children. Love the large pool you walk under in the tunnel you can watch them swim all around you and my fave animal the shark! 🦈
A.L — Google review
Fantastic place to visit just off the beach at Newquay. Lots of different fish and sharks to see!! One thing I will say is it's a bit awkward for disabled access. My mum stayed on a bench at the top because she struggles with mobility and it was difficult for her to get down to.
Jane P — Google review
The reviews for this attraction are quite harsh. Given the price of admission, there is a decent amount to see for a solid hour. We chose to take our time, while others appeared to rush through, which may explain why some visitors feel they do not get their money's worth.
Sky F — Google review
Quite small and very good, with stock in good conditions. See esp the Turtle who is a rescue animal & is blind Cafe area and small gift shop upstairs, and right near the Towan Beach and shopping streets. Note though parking is not nearby - Website says there are a few Blue Badge Holder spaces
Shelley S — Google review
The oceanarium is relatively small, but it offers a variety of fascinating species to discover. A visit typically lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour. On site, visitors will find a café, a souvenir shop, and restrooms. Ticket prices could be slightly more affordable, particularly for families purchasing group passes.
Witek P — Google review
A Peaceful and Enjoyable Experience at Blue Reef Aquarium Despite being on the smaller side, the Blue Reef Aquarium was an excellent outing for me and my family. It had plenty of interesting things to see and kept us engaged the entire time. One highlight I’d definitely recommend is stopping in the tunnel and admiring the fish swimming above. It truly feels like time slows down and you become one with the sea life around you. Make sure to take a moment to read about the rescued animals at the centre too; it’s both heartwarming and educational. Even if you're visiting with kids, try not to rush. Slow down your day a bit and take it all in as there’s more to see than it first appears. We spent about an hour walking through and felt satisfied with the visit. If possible go on a day when it’s not raining. I noticed in the reviews that it gets busier in poor weather but we went on a quiet day and it was very peaceful with barely anyone else around. I know it’s tempting to head straight for the beach on a sunny day but I’d recommend getting your tickets early. You get a hand stamp that lets you come back later the same day and timing your visit around the feeding sessions is definitely worth it. Watching the sharks turtles octopus and others being fed is a great experience. Since the beach is just outside you can relax there and pop back in whenever you want which makes it super convenient. All in all I do recommend visiting though be aware the entry price can feel a bit steep. That said you can often find cheaper deals online especially family bundles which work out better than buying four standard tickets. One final tip: don’t just glance into the tanks. Take your time and look closely. There are crabs lobsters and other creatures hiding among the rocks and sand. I really appreciate how the aquarium has designed the tanks to resemble real ecosystems. It’s thoughtful and adds to the experience.

Trebah Garden is a stunning sub-tropical paradise located near the Helford River Estuary in Cornwall. This award-winning garden offers an array of seasonal blooms, including ancient rhododendrons and fragrant magnolias in spring, giant rhubarb in summer, hydrangeas in autumn, and diverse flora from the southern hemisphere in winter.
Such a beautiful place to visit, been many times in the past and returned this year to find its just as unspoilt . Lots of unusual tropical plants grow in this protected valley , it’s a steep hike down to the beach at the bottom but worth the walk to be rewarded by stunning views and the most amazing ice cream. We were lucky to go on a warm day in early autumn and it was the highlight of our holiday

Been a while lovely to return. Loving the blues of the hydrangea. Free use of a tramper is a good addition for those who need assistance. Great day to chill on the beach before the hike back up. The new to us walled garden was worth a visit.

Random visit for us as we had planned other places, very glad we went. It poured with rain the whole time but this made it feel even more special. The plants and walks around are amazing and a kid park for the kids to enjoy. Would 100% recommend to all.

Wow what an amazing garden! It's got so many fascinating plants and all grown with so much vigor! The garden is in a valley so you walk down one side and walk back up the other. The paths are well maintained but there's a lot of walking up slopes. Lovely icecream shop by the beach.

We went with a coach party and parking wasn't a problem. The garden reminded me of the Gardens of Heligan but on a smaller scale and with less diversity of plants. The planting includes lots of bamboo, hydrangeas and tree ferns. The paths wind their way down to the beach where there is a cafe with outside tables. You can do a circular walk to return to the car park. There is a shop, cafe, toilets and small plant centre before the exit.

My wife and I loved this ravine garden... Excellent parking, very modern visitor centre with toilets, cafe and customer seating..helpful staff for regular and first time visitors...shop for gifts and plants. Very clear map of paths leading down to the beach with hard standing area, picnic benches and (on our visit) the option of tea coffee ice cream and snacks... wonderful views across the Helford estuary.

Nestled near the Helford River, Glendurgan Garden is a peaceful and exotic National Trust garden featuring ancient trees, exotic plants, and a valley leading to a sheltered beach. The garden offers attractions for all ages, including a planted maze and a rotating rope swing. In spring, the garden comes alive with colorful blooms from magnolias and camellias. The lower valley boasts exotic flowers while thousands of wildflowers cover the steep valleys.
Gorgeous, historic gardens. The maze was fun. Few games dotted around for children & adults alike. If you're really into gardening & plants, this is the place. We walked all the way down to the tiny hamlet next to the Helford River where we had an ice cream. Then the steep walk back up. A nice way to while away a few hours.

Energetic walk back uphill via the maze halfway which was great fun . There were some flowers but I went at wrong time of year for them but thoroughly enjoyed the gardens nevertheless. Refreshments and toilets at top and bottom of path.

Excellent! Beautiful gardens. The cafe is great too. The maze is a real highlight and so much fun! Harder than it looks! We walked down to the beach from the garden and it was really lovely! I did find the second hand bookshop a little more over priced than usual.Highly recommend!

Wow, what an a great garden, there's a lot to see. If you have limited mobility then be warned that most of the garden is on a slope so there's a lot of walking up and down hill. There's some fabulous and different plants here, all of which are well cared for. You can walk down to the beach which is a lovely place to chill. The maze is fantastic fun and challenging being on a slope. Don't miss the massive tulip tree as you walk in which is incredible! There's a lovely cafe selling tasty cakes and drinks, some of which are traditional to Cornwall.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, dogs allowed on lead except the maze, orchard and schoolhouse which is fine. Great cafe but dogs are outside - website says inside on the left but it doesn’t have any walls so really it’s outside with a canopy. Pebbly beach but still relaxing with an ice-cream hut. Dogs are allowed here too but on a lead. My mum who is 80 managed this walk with a few stops at the benches dotted around the site.

A lovely garden to leisurely wonder around. The plants and trees are very well displayed, with info on some of them. The little village at the bottom of the garden is very quaint with the little beach where you can sit and have a ice cream before you start back up the hill. The grandchildren really enjoyed the maze. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a very good day out.

Fun activity for 3-4 hours with the kids. Maze, apple shed and the games nearby (connect4, big jenga blocks etc.) were really fun for the kids. Great walk down to the village near the beach and really tasty local ice cream from there. Finally some jacket potatoes back at the cafe near entrance to top the day.

We returned on Sunday, many years after our last visit. Still as beautiful as we remembered it. We had to take the easier route, as this time we had our grandson in his pushchair with us! Walked down to the village and beach, stopping for an ice-cream. Such a lovely spot. The flowers and trees in the gardens are stunning. We didn't attempt the maze this time, as previously, I remember it took us a long time to find our way out! Had some sandwiches and cake at the top café before our journey home - all delicious. Well worth a visit if you're in the Falmouth area.

Newquay Zoo, located within the scenic Trenance Park, offers an exciting wildlife experience in a 13-acre sub-tropical garden setting. Visitors can meet a variety of exotic animals such as lions, lemurs, monkeys, and meerkats while learning about wildlife conservation. The zoo also features interactive attractions like The Secret Garden for plant enthusiasts and The Tropical House where rare animals like sloths can be observed.
One of the most beautiful animal parks i have been to. The plant life is spectacular. The animals are so loved and in fine condition. There is a lovely atmosphere to the place. The staff were very knowledgeable about the animals and zoological information. The coffee was nice to. I would highly recommend this zoo ... I prefer animal park. It was spotless no rubbish anywhere the toilets were immaculate we had an amazing day. We have been to many animals parks from Canada to new Zealand. But we saw animals here we had never seen before. Great for kids loads of space and great play areas. 💯%

My partner and I visited Newquay Zoo with our 11 month old as we have a membership to the sister zoo in Paignton, we all absolutely loved it! The proximity of animals is great, the walkable distance of all the animals is fantastic, and my 11 month old was so engaged all the time as she could see all of the animals. We also had lunch and the food was pretty good, made fresh and came out in a timely manor. The talks from the ranger were also a highlight, she was super informative and ready to answer any questions! All in all a really great day out!

Had an absolutely brilliant day as Newquay zoo. Grandpa treated my identical twin girls to the zoo keeper experience with Rhiann! Unbelievably passionate lady who clearly loves her job and wants kids to love animals as much as she does ! She was amazing! Totally understood my kids and us as parents and Grandpa! Massive smiles and enthusiasm throughout! Truly special person. The zoo is lucky to have her! Thank you so much for making a great impression of the animals and wider world in general! There’s not many people like her and I love it when someone just gets it ! Thanks again ! We will never forget you or Newquay zoo!

Such a great zoo. I've been coming here for 20 years now and always have a lovely time. The staff who give the animal talks are so friendly and knowledgeable (Emma is our favourite!). A really relaxing day out (especially when the kids are in school and it's nice and quiet!)
Freddie R — Google review
M2 wife and I love animals and we looked to go somewhere that wasn't too far from where we were staying. I personally don't like zoos due to the confined space the animals have. However I do understand for the preservation of the animals something is better than nothing. Saying that Newquay Zoo surprised us . They didn't have the large animals but enough small once that you don't generally see in the bigger zoo's. Both my wife and I had a great time going round. There were lots of family. The children seem to really enjoy it due to some of the exhibits you could walk through and the wild life is around you. Mainly birds. It was really amazing having tropical birds flying around you. There are food places, a main restaurant which did close about 5 pm and an hour short of closing time. I think this should be open until closing time same as the gift shop. Some people like ourselves wanted to see the animals first, by the time we finished we were hungry. Apart from that highly recommended. Ps parking can be difficult due to being shared carpark with other businesses. it is pay and display carpark. I think it would be better to get refund and add donations for the animals. This way the zoo will still make some money for the upkeep as most people would donate their carpark charges. All in All a good little zoo.
Paul H — Google review
This is somewhere you can easily spend the day as there are a lot of animals to see and the zoo puts on talks throughout the day to discuss certain animals and to watch them be fed. The zoo keepers and volunteers who completed the talks where absolutely amazing and really made mine and my partners day special. It was raining a little so I think most people left so at quite a few of the talks it was just myself and my partner which made the talks even more fun and informative. Thank you to the zoo keepers and volunteers for making the day so amazing and memorable for us!! My favourite animal to see was the Lynxes as they had just had 3 little kittens and the boys where cuddled up by the fence and they looked so sweet. There was also a talk about them which was really lovely and informative to learn about the potential release of the Lynx kittens, and if not them then their offspring should hopefully be released into the wild. Accessibility - the zoo offers manual wheelchairs to hire for the day for £5 and you are provided with a map for the accessible path which allows you access to majority of the park (I think there was one part that you could not reach in a wheelchair). The paths are pretty smooth along the accessible path so it was easy enough for my partner to manoeuvre the wheelchair
Shawna W — Google review
Having been to money zoos around the country, including the big ones such as Chester and Londgleat, it was refreshing to see animals that seemed active and full of life. It’s a massive shame that fellow visitors want to whinge about the cost of parking and entry(which is not expensive at all) when they get a zoo full of wonderful animals. The only thing missing is the big cats and primates, which given its location is perfectly acceptable. 100% worth the visit, and the the staff should be proud of the work they are doing.
Mitchell P — Google review
Pretty small zoo, was only here for about 2-3 hours and that included two rounds of the zoo and eating time. Animals were good though, especially the baby lynx! All 3 babies were so playful and cute! Pretty zoo scenery too with streams and flowers.

Me and my buddy hired boards on Saturday and Sunday from Ticket to Ride for the weekend! Everything went smoothly, it was our second time hiring there BUT we hadn’t realised that they closed on Sundays out of season (it certainly didn’t ‘feel’ out of season! 20 degrees in October) We were pretty gutted until Charlie, the friendly fella behind the desk, hooked us up by lending us roof straps and giving us a secret location to stow the boards when we finished with them on Sunday! (Cheers mate! You saved our weekend!) Professional, affordable (given they are literally right there at watergate bay), the equipment was good to go and we had an amazing time! I might have my own board by the time I return, but I’ll definitely need lessons and they will be the first place I call!

BEST SURFING EXPERIENCE! We had a lovely morning surfing with Ollie, Charlie and the team. We were running slightly late due to a Google maps malfunction but they got us quickly into our wetsuits and we didn't miss much. Very helpful and friendly people. Perranporth has great waves and the team helped us stand up and catch a few!

We had a beginners surfing lesson with Ru and Malo and they were fantastic. The school kitted us out with good quality wet suits and boards before heading to the beach for the lesson. The instructions given during the lesson were clear and there was plenty of time to practice out in the waves. Ru and Malo were both fantastic, helpful and engaging. There were approximately 15 people in the lesson but I felt that help was always available when needed.

I had a lesson with Charlie today and I can't recommend him more. He was so good at spotting exactly where I was going wrong to help me make progress quickly. He made it such a fun few hours and I came away really excited to get back in the sea to have another go soon. The location was also great and super handy having changing rooms and a shower. Thanks Charlie!

Amazing experience! Absolutely loved the surf lesson I did with Ticket to Ride - the instructors were so informative and super patient with me, having never surfed before! Really enjoyable lesson and I even managed to stand up a couple of times! Loved it so much much, I even bought a jumper! Thank you Ticket to Ride, cant wait to come back!

Great experience and service. My 2 kids had a private lesson during the May half-term. Their instructor was fantastic and coached them brilliantly for the full 2 hours. Highly recommend.

Went in as 6 beginners and had a great 2 hour lesson with Charlie. Fun and incredibly helpful, with all of us standing and riding some of the waves in before the end of the lesson. Place had changing areas and a shower to rinse off. We were able to leave our bags and such in the club house while out on the beach. Overall a great session and a fantastic start to our day!

Had a great time here last week. As a surfing novice I didn’t really know what to expect but the instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable they really help you learn the ropes. I paid £35 for what I think turned out to be over 2 hours mostly in the water (including surf board and wetsuit). For me, fantastic value for money! Can’t wait to sign up next time I’m down in Perranporth, cheers guys

Treyarnon Bay is a delightful family-friendly beach that boasts an expansive stretch of fine sand, beautifully framed by majestic cliffs and rolling dunes. Nestled between Constantine Bay and Treyarnon Bay near Padstow, this hidden gem features a natural lido formed in the barnacle-adorned rocks—perfect for swimming enthusiasts looking to refine their front crawl or enjoy some exhilarating rock-jumping.
Great place to visit and one of my wife's most special places in the world. The waves were amazing and very good for those who like body boarding. The beach is amazing with lots of little pools in the sand.

Great place to visit ,The waves were amazing and the beach was lovely with lots of little pools in the sand ,great to rock climb too ,only pain we had was getting out on the road was very slow and narrow and took a long while other then that it was a great beach .

One of (if not the) best beaches in Cornwall. We love it for sunsets, surfing and a well earned BBQ!! And maybe a little fire for marshmallows.
James E — Google review
Great Beach which can get small on a high tide, sea conditions can be challenging with restricted swimming/playing area. But, on a low tide, loads of room and plunge pools in the rocks.
Joe H — Google review
The best dog friendly beach I've ever been too. Lovely sandy beach. A Tidal rock pool as big as a swimming pool.
Darren W — Google review
Wish we'd spotted this sooner. Beautiful bay and lifeguard covered, dog-friendly beach with a sea pool along the North shore. Lots of rock pools to explore too. In spite of the huge grassed car park, it's so much quieter than the other main beaches. Plenty of places beach-side - cafe, toilets, shop. Brilliant. The coast path leads straight off the beach either side. North takes you to Constantine Bay (another beautiful beach). The South path takes you past plenty of scenic views - Pepper, Warren, Fox, Rowan and Long Coves, before reaching Porthcothan Bay. Saved this as a favourite spot.

Great beach. Huge at load tide. As well as the larger rock pool at the top there are lots of smaller ones for easier access. Crystal clear water. Shop and takeaway on the car park in summer. Great views from the easily accessible cliffs above with lots of benches to admire the view.

First visit in 40 years and a regular holiday location in the early 1960’s in childhood holidays. A beautiful beach, good for all, whether it be beach, caves, rock pools, surfing. The road to it is single track most of the way and the car park looks as though it’s had tanks training on it, so uneven. Limited stores but toilets are there. Very uncommercial which suits me fine.

Very nice shingle beach (tiny stones, not large pebbles) with a slightly more sandy area next to the sea. Carpark opposite, a bit pricey but convenient. Beach side snack bar with plenty to eat and drink to the left (as you face the sea). Restaurant on the low cliff area to the right. Excellent for kayaking and other non power water activities.

A very lovely beach, with a great cafe and good parking. Standard beach for sun soaking or swimming, and lots of rocky parts and coastal paths for the more adventurous and exploratory. Some parts are dog friendly and some are not, so best to check beforehand.

Beautiful beach. Out of all Falmouth beaches, this is my favourite one to swim. It's a clear water beach and is perfect for a family day out. It has a nice cafe. Car park and toilets are across the road.

A lovely small beach that has a surfing school and a cafe by the beach. It’s probably visited by the locals more, but does have people come here from a distance too. It looks like a sandy beach, but it’s actually a pebble beach… so the water is Christal clear… apart from the shallowest point where all the tiny stones are washed onto the beach. Beautiful view at the sea front and also the local area. It also has a big paid car park near by where they also have mini golf there. I loved my visit!

Lappa Valley, located near St Newlyn East in the Cornish countryside, offers a nostalgic experience with steam train trips on three quarter-size railways through a wildlife-rich former mining area. The attraction was recently recognized at the Cornwall Tourism Awards for its warm welcome, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff. It is also known for being dog-friendly, providing amenities such as large fields for off-lead exercise and water bowls throughout the site.
A Day of Pure Cornish Magic at Lappa Valley! Our family, with two young children needing to spend some energy, recently enjoyed an absolutely sensational day at Lappa Valley, and it truly lived up to its reputation as "Cornwall's secret world of play and trains." From the moment we stepped aboard the nostalgic steam train for our journey into the valley, we knew we were in for something special. The three railways offered endless delight, with the kids particularly loving the opportunity for unlimited rides, Mark - our train driver on Victoria - kept some amazing energy for the entire day, getting the whole train to shout and scream throughout which the kids found brilliant! We then headed to the Boating Lake, where we giggled our way around in the pedalo swans, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The Adventure Golf course was busy all day and a little too much for our 3 year old so we gave it a miss. When it was time to burn off some extra energy the Adventure Play areas were fantastic, offering slides, swings, and plenty of space to run free. We even ventured onto the Musical Trail, which was a charming and unique experience, adding an extra layer of enchantment to our woodland walk. The Engine Shed Indoor Soft Play was a lifesaver for when the heavens opened, and the attached cafe was perfect for refuelling with some delicious treats. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Lappa Valley is a fantastic day out. We left with tired but very happy children, can't recommend it enough! The family ticket online saved a fair bit, but if you can't use that try to find a Best Days Out guide for the vouchers inside 😉

Honestly, this place is a real gem. Dropped in with 3 young children thinking we might fill a few hours, we were in there for 6 and could have stayed longer. A really well kept attraction that is clearly being invested in. A nice mix of old and new with the added magic of the railway. Didn’t break the bank either. We got everything done and started to go back on some of the attractions like the pedalos as they are included in the price so nothing stopping you. Kids would go back in a heartbeat, great day out.

I have visited twice in the past two weeks, once for a day visit and the other to see the fireworks at Haloween. Both visits were excellent, there journey in on the train is a great experience and there are lots of fun activities to do once you get into the park further. The biggest highlight is definitely the staff, they are friendly, helpful and full of enthusiasm. Would highly recommend a visit.

A great place to visit on our stop off on the way to bottom of Cornwall. Windy lanes to it from main road. We booked the 11:20 train, nice little play area and things to do when waiting on the platform. Friendly staff. Nice little train ride to the centre, peddle boats were definitely a highlight, don't see them many places and fit lots of people in them. 2 other trains to ride. Frisbee golf, something different and fun. Big play areas and mini golf. Nice little gift shop. Didn't go in the soft play looked rather busy from outside. Toilets not great in the centre, very narrow odd setup and few. Recommend visiting, an unusual little place, I'm sure we will visit again in the future.

What a little gem. Hidden away in a valley Super little play/adventure park. We visited as a group of two adults and two six year olds. Nice open train tide from car park to main attractions in a secluded valley. One price for everything. Except food and electric cars. Climbing frames dotted around old school roundabout , see saw , boating lake. Soft play. Lovely grounds , very nice cafe .3 trains to go on. Absolutely fantastic for a day out. Obviously better in a bit of sunshine. Crazy golf trampolines picnic areas. A must visit if you have younger children. Remnants of an old mine. Nice informative plaques. Big chimney that was part of the mine. Quite a sad bit of history. Value for money excellent. Quite easily spend all day here. Very well laid out excellent grounds. Spotless. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Lovely atmosphere here, all staff we very welcoming even the big boss himself was very chatty. Great crazy golf which is free which is a nice thing as most.places charge extra. All the train rides are great. Missed Mr Cupcake his replacement was the only down, a young lad who didn't seem very enthusiastic unlike Mr Cupcake would be shouting tunnel, octopus, shark and other random animals that you see on the train.

Great place for young kids. Definitely worth a visit if your children love trains and parks. Expect to spend a half day or so at this place, you can stay the full day if you desire. Loads of parks, a soft play, pedalo swans and mini golf, all within the ticket price.

Our local favourite rain or sun. Great deal of attractions from snack shack and great food cafe with big softplay. Playground with multiple slides and climbing frames, diggers in sandpits for small and big visitors, go karts again for little and the bigger drivers. Pond to have picnic near by or to relax next to the ducks. Or Swan pedal boat to spin around the pond. And the unforgettable rides on the mini train lines to and around the valley.

Falmouth Art Gallery is a must-visit attraction, boasting an impressive collection of around 2,000 artworks including British and French Impressionists, surrealists, maritime artists, and contemporary painters. The gallery features works covering the Arthurian legend associated with Cornwall and pieces from renowned painters like Thomas Gainsborough. Visitors can also explore diverse exhibitions that change regularly and participate in workshops and art courses for both kids and adults.
A superb gallery of historic local art. Falmouth has a superb selection of galleries and this is a fine addition. As well as past art work there was a contemporary pieces and exhibits that ranged from the funny and whimsical to the thought provoking. I very much enjoyed my visit.

A small but lovely art gallery with a charming little shop (prices are on the higher side, but that’s expected). What really stood out was how engaging the installations were — not just for adults, but for kids too. It’s wonderful that children are encouraged to interact with the exhibits, which makes the whole experience more fun and memorable. The current exhibition on technology and art was especially interesting and thought-provoking. Also, very convenient that there’s a toilet nearby — makes a big difference when visiting with kids. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Visited the exhibit of ‘The Legend of King Arthur: A Pre-Raphaelite Love Story’. I had always wanted to see The Lady of Shalott in person. I visited Tate a while ago but it was being exhibited elsewhere at the time. Now it’s exhibiting in Falmouth and it was just great to see. Such a great exhibit overall. Displayed well and with a shop.
Aimee C — Google review
Small gallery with limited display space. Enjoyed what was on display but some of its better works weren't exhibited, which was a shame.
David L — Google review
A small FREE gallery but I found the exhibition on automata fascinating. I admire the exhibitors (most of whom are local to Falmouth) for allowing some of the exhibits to be played with (most people are careful but I was concerned about the child who was seeing how fast he could turn the handle - why wasn't the parent explaining that for everyone to enjoy these exhibits, we most all be respectful and careful not to break them). Beautiful, detailed work - often very complex scenes - as well as larger models/automata. Activities for children (everyone, probably) to try. Show your support for this small free gallery as we were told that the council needs to see that it is worth keeping it open by the number of visitors it attracts.

It's ok. Smaller than I thought it would be and a whole section was filled with rocks which don't interest me much. The central bit about Falmouth history was good and upstairs was a bit forgettable. Overall good but too expensive.

I travelled from Norfolk to Falmouth to see a couple of paintings by an artist I am researching which are in the permanent collection of this gallery. The paintings weren't on show and the staff were very unhelpful about leaving attempting to bring them out for viewing. Even though I said I was around for a week and was willing to wait. The person involved said they were in storage and it would be too much of a hassle to get them. It beggars the question why bother to have a permanent collection that is unavailable to the public? Disappointing doesn't even cover it.
