The Great Stupa of Sanchi is built by Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century B.C.E. It's one of the oldest Stone structures in india about 2,300 years old. The main Stupa has 4 gates in each direction. The ASI (Archeological Survey of India) has maintained the site beautifully and added a few attractions like a sound & light show and a museum.

Stupa 3 is a small version of the main stupa located in the Buddhist monument complex in Sanchi. It's much smaller in size and has less carvings, but it still makes a pretty sight. The Stupa is in a good condition and it's said that a century back the remains of Buddha’s loyal disciples were recovered from the inner halls of the stupa by the British archeologists.

STUPA No.3 -(SECOND CENTURY B.C.) The relics of the Buddha's two chief disciples were found in the ruins of Stupa No.3 at Satdhara (six and a half miles west of Sanchi) which measured about forty feet in diameter and was smaller than the Great Stupa.

A must visit place if you're in Pachhmari. It's at the height of 4420ft from the sea level. The views from here are mesmerizing. You don't need to climb here, the safari vehicle (you have to book it from Bison lodge) will take you to the top and then you can roam around and have some pictures. While going up, you'll find an echo point where you can scream your name and in return you'll hear the same echo. Overall it's worth visiting. Note: People generally come here in the evening but I suggest you to cover this spot during the day itself (If you need to leave at the evening time for your home). Because, the rush in the evening is very high. Sunset, you can cover in the Pandav Caves. (Ask your driver for more information)

In the midst of nature there lies this fall with immense natural beauty. Although not advisable for very small kids, Senior citizens and heart patients, as there are 400+ steps ro reach there and then come back. Be careful of monkeys and Bees ( rare instances). When u go down and i witness the flowing water in the lap of nature, it's a worth visit.

How to reach- buy advanced ticket and jipsy to reach there. With personal vehicle you have to park it and around 2km journey to be done by walk only. As Name bee fall came from there is huge amount of honey bee comb on trees around the waterfall. But the catch is that they didn’t harm to anyone. Better to visit in monsoon to get huge volume of water there. Greenery and vibes are strong. Don’t forgot to eat mangoes if going by walk in season. I went by walk which was great experience compare to jipsy guys.

I prefer the smaller waterfall before the main one, as it’s less crowded and much quieter. The main waterfall, on the other hand, tends to be overwhelmed with visitors, some of whom even bathe with soap and doing risky things which will cost their life. There was only one food stall available, and I noticed a lot of monkeys around. It's important to be cautious when eating, as they can easily snatch food right out of your hands.

The Pandava Caves in Panchmari derive their name from the five Pandavas -- Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva -- the legendary sons of King Pandu from the Mahabharata. It is believed that the pandavas stayed here during their exile period, and thus the place itself is called Panchmari, meaning five shelters. The caves are simple in design, carved out of sandstone on a small hill. Some of them feature pillared Verandahs, and while most are plain, cave no. 2 stands out with its simple Chaitya-style motifs on the facade. The door-jamb of Cave no. 3 is also beautifully decorated, with a miniature deity figure carved at its base. Interestingly, an inscription reading "Utkirna Bhagavakena" has been found here, which means "created by Bhagavak". It suggests that the caves were made by a monk named Bhagavak, dating back to the Gupta period (4th-5th century A.D.). Hence, despite the mythological association with the Pandavas, these caves appear to have Buddhist origins. You can also see the remains of a brick structure on top of the hill rock, possibly part of an ancient monastery. Overall, the Pandava Caves are a fascinating blend of myth, history and archaeology -- a must visit spot in Panchmari for those interested in ancient Indian art and legends.

Well maintained area, caves are covered with grills so you can’t go in. The park in front of the caves is also well maintained. The view from the top is beautiful.

A good place for short visits, peaceful time, or even a little photography if you're into nature-meets-history kind of spots.

We considered going here out of utter devotion and believe me it gives nothing less. The place is hauntingly beautiful, surrounded by serene huge mountains and quite a walk of like a kms. Up and down the hill. Just before reaching the place of worship there are quite many stairs to go down. So beautiful careful with elders and kids there. Easy to get lost so do move in groups together. They have good parking space around so not an issue there.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds many mythological stories and local beliefs that make it truly special. To reach the temple, one has to descend many stairs, as the temple lies within a natural cave, embraced by rocky hills and flowing spring water. The atmosphere inside is cool, calm and naturally wet, giving it a very peaceful and spiritual feel. Around the temple, you'll find many small shops selling Ayurvedic products, including Shilajit and local herbs. However, I personally chose not to buy them, as I wasn't sure about their authenticity. A fun fact -- if you climb those stairs daily, you'll surely loose weight and body pain, thanks to the steep descent and ascent ! Overall, Jatashankar Temple is must-visit spot in Panchmari for both devotees and nature lovers. The combination of mythology, natural beauty and spiritual peace makes it truly unforgettable experience.

Also it is advisable to hire a guide here ( Charges ₹150-200 for a group), as the guide will tell you the story of the place and will also show u many hidden beauties of the place, which one may miss without someone's guidance. Further itvis advisable to not take small kids / Senior citizens and people with some serious health ailments as one has to go deep inside the valley crossing a long path and 150 steps and then come back. Wonderful experience to behold the marble rocks of all hues and colours. However the boating experience needs attention by the authorities so far as the passenger safety is concerned.

I heard about this in my childhood textbook. In textbook, author describe about their experience on Full Moon night. This time we visited at broad Daylight, but it is marvelous to observe around 100 feet high marble rockline while boating through Mata Narmada River from Bhedaghat at Jabalpur. I will visit again to experience it on Full Moon Night.

Boating is amazing. They will ask you to pay more for going far once you reach the Bhoolbhulaiya point. If you want you can try, it has better rocks. Or else till Bhoolbhulaiya point also it is good. Many movie shootings have happened here. Try to take the motor boat as they can take you much deeper.

The Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat are stunning tall white cliffs rising on both sides of the Narmada, best seen on a peaceful rowboat ride. Sunset or full-moon boat rides are magical, and Dhuandhar Falls nearby make the trip complete.

This waterfall is so beautiful that it is the best waterfall of India and it is a marble waterfall. The Narmada river is flowing through this waterfall and this Narmada river itself is one of the most beautiful rivers of this country and when you come to this waterfall, it will seem that the Niagara falls will make a sound exactly like it. Its chitons will come on you from far away and it will seem that you are in heaven. You are not going to feel better than this anywhere else, so definitely come to this place. Sit here and enjoy this place and eat good food. There are many photo sessions here because this waterfall is very close. It will be. You can touch it now if you feel like it or click a lot of photos.

One of the most striking aspects of the temple is its historical significance and the sense of mysticism that surrounds it. If you're visiting Jabalpur, the Chausath Yogini Temple is a must-see — a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty.

This temple is among one of the best things about Jabalpur. A flight. Of cobbled stone stairs takes you up to the ancient temple. The views of the surrounding area and Maa Narmada from the temple, are awesome. There is peace and tranquility, and if you have time then this place is ideal for meditation and quiet contemplation. I visited the temple thrice in a span of 24 hours and it was an amazing experience.

It is an ancient temple just around half kilometres away from the famous Dhuandhar waterfall in Bhedaghatt near Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The place is too calm and one can enjoy the scenic beauty of sunset at it's fullest. One have to go through around 200 stairs.

This is the temple that inspired the design of the old Parliament building constructed by the British. It is a rock structure with elegant carvings and beautiful sculptures. Very nice experience. It is a must visit place whenever one comes to Jabalpur. It is on the way to Bhedaghat. A tip to visitors: it gets really hot so do carry a water bottle. Also, stairs are quite steep so take adequate breaks in between or else you could faint due to tiredness.

From there, you will find this temple at a walking distance and a local bus runs from this temple. Which will take you to the city, so you will not face any problem in transportation. You must visit this temple wherever you go. To reach this temple, you will have to climb many stairs. But after going up, you will get a beautiful view. You will feel that all your climbing up was worth it and after going to this temple, you will feel very relaxed and good. When I went inside this temple, pictures were not allowed.

We had been to this water fall during our return journey towards Pune from Maha Kumbh mela. One of our friend knows about this location, so he suggested to take halt at Jabalpur in the night and then we visited this waterfall next day morning. The Dhuandhar falls is located on the Narmada River at Bhedaghat at 30 meters high and 30km away from the city. The Narmada River, making its way through the Marble rocks narrows down and then plunges into a waterfall. Viewing platforms have been constructed along the side to facilitate proper views. Interesting Facts about this waterfall: 1.The name of this waterfall is derived from two Hindi words "Dhuan" and "Dhar". Dhuan means smoke, the mist created by water falling on hard rock creates visuals of smoke emanating from the river bed and hence it is called Dhuandhar or Smoke Cascade. Dhar means falling down, the white water pummels down to form a gorge known as the Marble Rocks. 2. Beauty of this Water fall is the plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that its roar can be heard from a far distance. another good thing is that we can see the beauty of water over Cable car which connected from East bank to West Bank of the Narmada River. Rope Car crosses the river and then drops tourists off at the west bank of the river. 3. Visitors can take boat ride on the river to visit nearby marble rocks. These rocks are a unique geological formation with a series of marble cliffs rising from the river. This waterfall is often referred to as the Niagara Falls of India because of the speed with which the water falls down. 4. This tourist site is most crowded during the Narmada Mahotsav where people from across the country visit the Jabalpur district to celebrate the festival grandly beside the Dhuandhar, under the full moonlight.

I think the only Mall in Bhilai. One PVR inside where I had been to watch Chhawa movie of Vicky Koushal and Akshay Khanna. The mall is really big but very unstructured in terms of connectivity between floors. Escalators, stairs and lifts were randomly arranged to connect one floor with another. Also, it was not as clean as it should be. Besides parking was 25 Rs for bike and probably 50 Rs for four wheeler. However the prices are little lower if you park inside mall. Did not feel like crowded. Almost all shops were there in this mall. Could not find any food court, may be not present. Had the dinner in HaldiRam.

Parking charges for cars is the highest I have ever seen, 60 rupees, which is not there even in malls of Raipur which is the CAPITAL of chhattisgarh, where they charge 30 rs in all malls. After asking I got the answer because it is the only mall in Bhilai they are charging double than Raipur. They don't have shade even for parking cars, they are parked in open space which makes your vehical suffer heat effects. Mall inside has escalaters arranged in such a way that you have to walk long and far away to get down if you want to come down. This is specially bad for emergency situation, भगदड़ मच जाएगी। Management to think and act over it to correct and make the things easy.

🚨 Serious Harassment & Misconduct by AS Associates Parking Guards at Surya Treasure Island Mall There is a persistent and serious issue with the male parking guards wearing yellow t-shirts, deployed by AS Associates at the gym/back gate entrance of Surya Treasure Island Mall. (This complaint is only against the male guards; the female guards are respectful and professional.) I hold a valid parking pass, issued when I took my Life Fitness gym membership, which includes free parking. However, for the past 3 months, these male guards repeatedly misbehave, deny access, and harass me and other visitors, trying to force us into paid parking, even after showing a valid pass. 🔴 Most recent incident – 16 April 2025, 8:00 PM A guard in yellow t-shirt with a red scarf/stole/ghamcha around his neck (appearing more like a political goon than a security professional) mocked me, questioned if I owned the gym, laughed sarcastically, and stared inappropriately at me and my companion, making us feel extremely unsafe. He denied access to the 2nd floor parking despite my pass, and only opened the gate when I demanded his supervisor. This is mental harassment, intimidation, and a gross abuse of position. It violates basic decency and could amount to actionable misconduct under applicable laws. 🔔 I am putting Surya Treasure Island Mall Management, AS Associates, and Life Fitness Gym on notice. If no strict action is taken against the guard in yellow t-shirt and red scarf/stole/ghamcha who was posted on 16 April at 8 PM, I will be filing a formal police complaint and initiate legal proceedings for undue harassment, public nuisance, and consumer rights violations. We pay for services, not for humiliation. This is completely unacceptable.

This place (hardly a mall) is nice to hangout with family and friends. However, the parking experience is worst. The charges are not fixed. They will ask you to park on the roads and charge 60 rs. Also do not believe when thay say that inside parking place is not available, as this is another way to charge more. The person misbehaved with me and my wife. The management does bother about those things and say that the parking is managed by external venodor. Though you can write a complain in the office on -1 floor, this also seems to be not effective.

Located about a kilometre and a half from Kapil Dhara, it is believed to be the second waterfall on the Narmada river. When I visited at the end of October, there wasn't much water and the white colour was missing. Generally during the rainy season, the height of this waterfall is only about 10 feet, so the name 'waterfall' is a misnomer and meant to draw unsuspecting tourists to the area. A notice board at the site also states that the cave of Durvasa Muni is located here and that Narmada maa gave him Darshan in the form of Kamadhenu. Entry is free, though the path is rocky and requires extreme caution!

A tranquil and beautiful place. A very dense forest with a lot of animals like Bison ,spotted deer, peacocks ,leopard and tiger. The tiger is rarely seen. It remains closed on tuesday. There are many resort , but book them before hand, or the private ones have unreasonably high cost. The food is delicious in the reserve's canteen and also in the nearby hotels.

Achanakmar is like something out of clouds, at a glance you would easily spot monkeys beers not that beer on a way ahead of you looking at in a unpleasant manner as if you why disturb us go your way. As for leopard and tigers they are easily spoted at night with night vision binoculars . Thanks to forest rangers we felt safe in jungle lots of birds some old temple and low depth high current river and falls. Food better carry fruits not very happy what i found their. Yeah drank a handful from river still had no problem. Went by private car. And with guide.

This dam is in Karra village of Bilaspur, at a distance of 155 km from Raipur. It is also called Sanjay Gandhi jalashay . It was established in 1920-31. It is built in the Kharang River. It is a good place for picnic. Boating is also done here. There is a cafe near the dam where good food is available.

The water level varies with season and low levels makes it beautiful as the inner islands show up and makes the scenery worth clicking pictures. There are many viewpoints as well where you can stop and soak in the beauty of this place and can click some beautiful pictures.

This place is stunning to visit. I had visited 3-4 different places in this wildlife area. Roads are good & so much greenery all around.

Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary situated in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh is about 100 km away from Raipur.  The wildlife Sanctuary is rich of different flora and fauna. The sanctuary offers many activities to do I’m like bird watching, trekking,  jungle safaris, bonfires, nature walks.  The forest also offers some forest reports which let the visitors help in exploring more about the forest and the sanctuary.

As the name wildlife sanctuary the wildest animals are missing in the sanctuary, only dears, birds and butter flies are easily available for site seeing, only the ride is best part of this sanctuary. November to March months time is best for visit. Visit with your family and enjoy the fresh air and feel the green atmosphere...😎🙂

One of the most preferred wildlife destinations in chhattisgarh, it is a small sanctuary of around 244 sq km touching jonk and balamdehi river. Many private resorts are here, along with govt run lodges as well, but very few with wildlife essence mostly are on leisure mode. Very difficult for like-minded people to get that choice and ambience. Some rest houses are still good to reflect its old charm and firewood kitchen food. Pakrid is one of the, but now good only in winters because of lack of facilities.

We stayed at Hareli Eco Resort, Mohda, (Barnawapara) owned and operated by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, is situated in a completely serene environment with just lush greenery around. All the rooms are elevated in machaan style with cosy interiors. This is an eco friendly resort which completely runs on solar energy. You won't get any mobile network here, again its the best for social fasting but please be prepared for emergencies. You can order Food from their canteen but the cost is a bit at the higher side (also not much food options available outside). Check post for Jungle Safari is only half kilometer ahead (Timings: 6 to 8 AM, 8 to 10 AM & 3 to 5 PM).

Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, is one of the most famous sanctuaries in the state. It was established in the year 1976 and is spread over an area of about 245 square kilometers. It is named after two nearby villages – Bar and Navapara. 🔹 Wildlife Barnavpara Sanctuary is known for its rich biodiversity. Many rare and common species of animals are found here, the main ones being – Chital and Sambar deer Nilgai and Chausingha Bear and jackal Hyena and wild dogs Wild boar and rabbit Along with this, hundreds of species of birds can be seen here, including peacock, pheasant, parrot, Hoopoe and migratory birds. 🔹 Natural environment This sanctuary is full of dense forests of Sal and bamboo. The rivers, waterfalls and hilly areas here make it even more attractive. The view here looks very captivating during winters and rains.

They offer safari only in buffer zone. We saw deer,monkey and peacocks only but overall experience was clam & peaceful as we did our safari during sunset. Open Gypsy costed us 1300 + 200 for the guide+25 per person for safari booking.During peak days, it's better to book online in advance. To enter the sanctuary there are many gates.One can choose the gate as per location. If you are coming from raipur, you can reach patewa highway and take 25kms unmetalled road to the nearest gate or if you can drive little extra for good roads you can choose to go till pithora and enter from bhalu gate. There will be no mobile network near to sanctuary.

Assortment of small temples on the river side. The ghat is being developed now. The roads to the temple and ghar are decent. You can organize different sankaars and bhojis in the halls attached to the temples. There's still a long way to go before the riverfront becomes developed enough to rival that in other states. The river water is muddy but still the views from the ghat are nice.

it's situated near NH 143. A historic and significant religious site located at the confluence of the Shankha, Koel, and Saraswati rivers, which merge to form the Brahmani. Nearby railway station is Rourkela junction which is 11 km from vedvyas pilgrim place. There are so many Dharmashala and hotels to stay in. Good communication and a peaceful location.

Vedvyas temple is located on the banks of the Brahmani River and is just 5 km distance from Panposh and 12 km from Rourkela city. The atmosphere of the Vedvyas temple is calm and religious. It is named after the great Rishi Vedvyas – the writer of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. History has it that this was the birthplace of saint Veda Vyasa, and he wrote the Mahabharata in this Vedvyasa cave. The temple is situated at the confluence of the Koel, Sankh and Saraswati rivers. There is a cremation ground near the Vedvyas temple.

During a recent trip to Rourkela, my friends and I visited Shree Hanuman Vatika in Udit Nagar. We took an auto from Rourkela railway station, and the driver charged us ₹200, which felt a bit overpriced for the distance, but the visit itself made up for it. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the breathtaking sight of the gigantic Hanuman Ji statue, one of the tallest in Asia. Its sheer size left us stunned, and the peaceful environment around it added to the spiritual vibe. The temple complex is beautifully designed, with several smaller temples arranged in a circular manner, each dedicated to different deities. Walking barefoot through the clean, well-maintained pathways gave us a calming and divine experience. Although the place was lively with visitors, it wasn’t overcrowded, so we could take our time enjoying the serenity. One thing to note is that there isn’t a dedicated parking area, which could be a drawback for those visiting in private vehicles. For families with children, there are fun stalls and small rides available, such as a mini car ride costing around ₹100 for 10 minutes, which children seemed to enjoy a lot. There were also snack stalls and local vendors selling religious items and toys, adding to the festive vibe. Overall, Shree Hanuman Vatika is not just a temple but a peaceful spiritual park perfect for families, devotees, or tourists. The combination of the towering Hanuman statue, serene atmosphere, and multiple temples makes it a must-visit in Rourkela. If you’re traveling by auto, try negotiating fares beforehand, and be prepared to walk barefoot for the full experience. We left feeling refreshed, amazed, and spiritually fulfilled.

There are many temples inside Shree Hanuman Vatika. After having darshan, it feels really nice to take a walk here in the evening. Outside, there are some stalls that offer snacks. They're reasonably priced and good enough to enjoy for a quick snack.
