I visited Khajrana Ganpati Temple on the weekend around 2 PM. The vibes of the temple were truly divine – Ganpati Bappa Morya! It was a little crowded at that time, but manageable. The temple has a wonderful archway and beautifully designed premises with other small temples as well. Overall, it was a peaceful and spiritual experience — definitely a must-visit in Indore.

Amazing Mandir. The Garb Gruh is on the ground floor and there's a Sabhamandap on the upper floor where Satsang sabha is there every Sunday evening. The campus also features a guesthouse, with 20 AC rooms for the convenience of travellers. There's also a Dining Hall within the Main building itself. It is 110 years old Jain mandir belonging to Digamber jain sect. Totally made of glass. Photography inside the temple is not permitted. Timing from 10.30am to 5PM. No entry fee. Inside there are deities of Shanti Nath jain, Digambar Jain. Located in the market area. Peaceful.

One of the best kaanch ka temple i have ever seen. Kaach Mandir is a stunning Jain temple near Dhanvantri Mandir, beautifully adorned with glasswork and mirrors. The falls do not allow you to travel to the bottom anymore so lost a lot of charm. You only get to see it from far and are surrounded by street vendors. There is not many covered spaces to hide from the sun. Hardly an adventure spot and definitely not an interesting tourist spot as it only has one thing to see.

It's a good picnic spot for indorians, but it's good until you keep your self safe. After rain the fall becomes attractive.Now a days so many shops are there to fulfill the needs of public travelling to it.

Amazing place for a short picnic. Few food stalls available but beware of monkeys. Amazing view points. Water flow was high in October 2025. I reached Mhow Railway and took a to and fro auto for 500 Rs. Do bargain. However if you have own vehicle its much easier.

It is a very picturesque spot, especially in monsoon when the water gushes down the 200-foot deep gorge. The view is very scenic when the sun sets. A good place for a nice trekking or camping activity also. People should rake efforts to keep the area clean. Beware of monkeys as they can be troublesome sometimes. Adequate parking space is available. It is also a historical spot to commemorate the heroics of Tantya Bheel against the British.

A warrior in the making who fought 40 battles undefeated and I must say that his final resting place is ignored being a decorated Peshwa army commander. Bajirao Peshwa was known for his battlefield tactics, shrewd guerrilla warfare and blazing speed of covering a journey from Delhi to Mumbai in 72 hours on a horse back. The last know battle fought by the Peshwa was at Mandu where he established Maratha rule. Due to extreme humidity the Peshwa took ill and developed extreme sunstroke and fever and passed away at the banks of Narmada river and his samadhi was built at Raverkhedi. The Peshwa was only 40 years old at the time of his death.

There is a temple made by his Queen Kashibai nearby. The Samadhi is simple and serene made by his patrons The locals say that the real cenotaph was washed away in the Narmada flood. There are more development works planned to uplift the place. The final 300 meters of the path to the Smadhi are through Raver village lanes. There is a small shop outside. The Narmada river flows adjacent and the aura is sober and serene.

Narmada river is also near the temple, some people also go boating there, the cost of which is Rs.50/- and children do not have to pay the ticket till the age of 12. You all can enjoy boating there. It is the temple of devi ahilya bai and it is now under construction there is a ghat in front of the gate of the temple where boat riding can be done in narmada river and we can also take bath in the narmada river. Police and life guards are present at the ghat and there are many temples present at the ghat and padman movie shooting was done here.

It is a must visit. Light show is awesome. I don't think you can buy the ticket beforehand and even if you can, don't buy as there are chances that the show may get cancelled for various reasons.

Adjoining the famous Jahaj Mahal, Hindola Mahal forms Parrt of the heritage royal buildings complex in Mandu.This historical building has slanting outer walls at an angle of 77° and thus it presumably gives the look of a swing. Frankly I could not visualize it as a swing. That apart, the building looks beautiful. There are other buildings. The surrounding are very well maintained. Adjascent to Hindola Mahal, there are other smaller monuments worth seeing.

Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls. The Hindola Mahal might have been constructed during the reign of Hushang Shah about 1425 C.E. but may date to the end of the 15th century during the reign of Ghiyas al-Din. It is one of a set buildings making up the royal palace complex at Mandu, which consists of the Jahaz Mahal, the Hindola Mahal, the Taveli Mahal, and the Nahar Jharokha. The Hindola Mahal may have been used as an audience chamber.The plan of the Hindola Mahal is a T-shape, though examination of the exterior walls leads to the conclusion that the crossbar was added later. The vertical mast of the plan consists of one main hall measuring 30 by 18 metres (98 by 59 feet) and 12 metres (39 feet) high. Its lateral walls are 3 metres (9.8 feet) thick and further reinforced by massive inclined buttresses that angle over 77 degrees. These highly inclined buttresses give the Hindola Mahal (Swinging Palace) its name. They also neutralize the outward force of five massive arches that once supported the large flat roof of the main hall. On each exterior of the long sides of the main hall are six recessed arches which hold doors in their lower sections and three slabs of open-work stone windows to let in air and light. A high wall holds battlements on the roof of the building.

The entire fort complex within the Jahaj Mahal of mandu is steeped in history, it's not only absolutely stunning but also such an experience. Hindola Mahal is undergoing certain upkeep work and that's great, but the place itself is very beautiful, the architecture is to die for and the light and sound show at night is also projected here, such a great experience.

Hindola Mahal is Artistic, Beautiful Unique Structure ! Hindola Mahal Built by Hushang Shah, probably around A.D. 1425 as a Durbar hall. The walls are inordinately thick and slope like those of a castle. The slope of over 77 degrees gives a swinging appearance to the building, hence the name. The plan is 'T' shaped. The upright stem being the main hall (which was built first), and the cross bar is a transverse portion added later. The structure was probably supposed to have the zenana place as another storey above the main hall, which would explain the bulk and strength of the walls. Nothing less than fascinating. The palace is in great condition, one can get transported back in time. The best part is superb maintenance of the monument - top notch cleanliness, manicured lawns, trimmed hedges, clean water bodies, beautiful trees, clean facilities. Reasonably priced good food is available in well maintained stalls outside the main gate. Parking is available.

Jahaj Mahal in Mandu is a very beautiful and well maintained site to visit over. Along with old forts and ponds...it has multiple locations to click lovely photos and frame. It is believed to be build for entertainment by the king to have good time in his haram. This is around 60 km from Indore in Mandu town. There are other monuments in town as well. It is maintained by ASI and have a fee of Rs 25 per person.

Mandav or Mandu in MP is a beautiful historic place on a hill top(2000') in between Ujjain(152 km) & Omkareswar(108 km) ruled by King Bhoj of Bhoopal, Baj Bahadur, Hosain Sah, Giasuddin Khalji of Afganisthan & so on. Jahaz Mohol, Hindola Mahal and surrounding lakes were strategically built with thethen splendid architectural pattern which are unique. Rupamati(singer queen of Baj Bahadur) mahal is also praiseworthy.

Beutifully carved and well maintained. It's just behind jami masjid and only small steps are provided through jami masjid for this place. So I have to look carefully otherwise I may miss this place. It resembles tajmahal. Architecture is like mixed hindu and Persian type. There are many small tombs inside.

Hoshang Shah’s Tomb is mainly known as the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, but beyond that there isn’t much to see. We ended up spending more time at the registration counter filling out the form and making the payment than inside the monument itself, where we were the only visitors.

Hoshang Shah's tomb is situated in the middle of the courtyard of the majestic mausoleum, surrounded by square-shaped walls. One can enter the mausoleum from the entrance gate, (which is built on a square plan with a marble dome) in the middle of the northern wall. The tomb of Hoshang shah is a grand construction, having a square plan and a dome. It is built on a basement of remarkable width and height. The entire building including the dome is covered in marble, providing majestic atmosphere. It is interesting to note that the main entrance and stairs are situated in the south side, the other side of the entrance to the courtyard. In the four corners of the domed roof, there are constructions with battlements and small domes. They are above the basements, which are built along with a dome. There are plant decorations　extending from the edge of the roof and the eaves. They are coloured in red and black, accenting the marble building. Hindu patterns can be observed in the decorations. Considering these and other patterns inside the tomb chamber, we can assume there was　involvement of Hindu workmen from the neighbouring towns.

The Roopmati Pavilion is a compact yet beautiful architectural marvel that offers spectacular panoramic views and a wonderful, cold breeze, making the sight of the Nimar Valley the clear highlight. However, while the structure is excellent, the small site can be explored in just 1 to 1.5 hours and the overall visitor experience is let down by poor amenities. Specifically, the lack of clear signs to explain the smaller historical areas, along with a noticeable absence of good drinking water and clean restroom facilities, detracts significantly from the visit. Despite these flaws, the breathtaking vista secures it a respectable 3.5/5 rating.

Nice, small fortress, with a nice early morning view. You can ask for a local guide for the history of the place. Access to the top is blocked, but the view from the accessible areas is also good. It is important to know the story of Baaz Bahadur and Roopmati to appreciate the place.

We visited Roopmati Mahal in Mandu during the last week of September in 2025. While the fort is old and there is nothing much to see there but the views of Vindhya ranges and nearby areas are mesmerizing. It was green all around with scenic beauty. We really enjoyed the fort. 30-45 minutes are good enough for the fort visit. Need to walk 300-400 mtr on an altitude but worth visiting.

If one has not visited Mandu then, he must make an endeavour to do so. Foolling are photos of Rani Roopmati Mahal, from where she used to have darshan of Ma Narmada River. One can see how rain water harvesting & storing was done during that time & how a fort was built & defences around

Ninai Waterfall is situated around 80 km from Rajpipla and 40 km from Dediapada town in south Gujarat. Waterfall is inside the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. From parking one need to walk down approx. 150 step to see the waterfall. There is a basic shop at the entrance and no food is available nearby, so carry your own food. We visited the fall during monsoon and water level is at its peak. Parking charges are 30 rs. For cars

One of the best waterfall in surrounding areas. A very huge waterfall. There are about 100 steps to walk through to reach the waterfall. There's a snack and tea shop there. A well constructed waterfall with police guiding the area. There were little croud when we visited during weekends, may be there will be less crowd or no crowd during weekdays. Monsoon is the best time to visit just to watch the waterfall. This falls stays even during summers.

Can't describe in words. Perfect for one day picnic. Road from dediapada to NINAI approximately 35 kms is very beautiful especially in monsoon. You won't find food facilities proper only corn and "Bhajiya's will be available.

Visited Mangi Tungi 15 days ago during the rainy season. The place looks beautiful with lush greenery all around, making the climb pleasant despite the effort. It is a significant Jain religious site with a calm, spiritual atmosphere. It is believed that Shree Ram and Lord Hanuman attained moksha here, adding to its sacredness. The large statues and the views from the top are worth the visit, especially in monsoon when the clouds and cool breeze add to the experience. Overall, a peaceful and spiritually enriching destination, best visited during the rains.

Mangi-Tungi, situated near Tahrabad and about 195 km from Surat, Gujarat, India, is a striking twin-peaked mountain with a sprawling plateau nestled in between. The two peaks, Mangi and Tungi, stand at 4,343 ft and 4,366 ft respectively, above sea level. The city of Satana is approximately 30 km from this picturesque location. I am from Mumbai, I drive 350 km nonstop to reach there by my motorcycle. It’s really amazing place. Mangi Tungi Temple is at 125 km from Nashik ,located in Satana Taluka. Mangi is the western pinnacle which is 4,343 ft high above sea level andTungi is the eastern pinnacle which is 4,366 ft high above sea level. Mangi Tungi is a famous holy place for pilgrimage. This is a Siddha Kshetra where Ram, Hanuman, Sugriva, Nal, Neel, Mahaneel, Gava, Gavaksha and so many others, Total 99 Carores of ascetics attained salvation full & final freedom from world and went to Siddha Shila or Moksha, from where no one returns to the world and enjoys the internal spiritual bliss for infinite time. This Holy place is also related to Lord Ram & Sita, Lord Krishna & his elder brother Balram. Bhilwadi is the base village of Mangi-Tungi. Go must visit. You will love it.

I visited Mangi-Tungi last week. Mangi-Tungi is a twin-peaked mountain in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. It is a popular Jain pilgrimage site and a holy place for Hindus. This place is located 125 km from Nashik, near Tahrabad, and 30 km from Satana. This was my most adventurous trek ever. The view was stunning, and I really enjoyed it a lot. Mangi-Tungi has a total of 3,500 steps and requires about 6 hours for the trek. The rainy season is the best time to visit this place. One important thing I experienced is that when you start your trek, make sure to carry your own water bottles because there is no water available at the top. There are also lots of monkeys at the top, so be cautious around them. Keep your mobile and other belongings safe, as these monkeys can be quite aggressive. I highly recommend visiting this place because I really loved it.

Don is very beautiful hillstation of Dang, especially during and in between monsoon and winter it's just so wonderful. It's just 3kms away from Maharashtra-Gujarat border. Still developing area, surrounded by very nice and sweet indigenous people. It's view is just so fascinating from the top. Greenery and mountains and such a peaceful atmosphere. Visited Don Hill Station recently, and it was an amazing experience overall! The journey itself was so much fun, with scenic views making the travel and trekking truly enjoyable. The trek was refreshing and definitely worth it for nature lovers. A few points to keep in mind: parking can be a bit tricky, food options are limited, and there were some minor issues with washrooms and water availability. Despite these small inconveniences, we had an incredible time exploring the area and enjoying the views. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of adventure, trekking, and relaxation!

Recently visited Don Hill Station, and it was an incredible experience! 😍 The view from the top was absolutely worth the climb — calm, green, and full of natural beauty. 🌳 The waterfalls and scenic spots on the way make the ride even more enjoyable ✨. The roads are in great condition too, so even scooters and bikes 🛵🏍️ can make it up easily. There are certain issues also with these place - basic facilities like washrooms and refreshment stalls are not maintained properly. As compared to Saputara there are no options for fun activities. No petrol pumps are available along the route once you cross ahwa ake sure to fill full tank up at Ahwa before climbing. Even if come down from Don Hill there is no option for restaurants and hotel since the location is too remote. If you are looking forward to go for nature and climbing adventure then you can go.

This place is for only those people who are interested in culture and traditions. You will find details about Dangi people lifestyle, their homes, their equipments for fishing and hunting. The building is old and seems it needs repairng. I avoid to go on first floor to be safe 😀.

Very nice concept & museum is evolved around it . However I always wonder very nice creations by governments is getting worthless because of poor maintaining of place. What concern officials are doing, is there any audit process for such good places.

Saputara Museum (Tribal Museum) is located at the center of saputara. It is exactly opposite to the Saputara Lake. The museum is the treasure for the people who loves history, art and culture. The anthropology section contains enormous information about the tribes and their art, culture, clothing, Ornaments, festivals, Life style etc. The Musical instruments are just amazing.👌👌 It also contains the famous "Varli" painting style of the tribes. It also contains the information about tourist places, animals, birds etc. Structure need to be renovated as soon as possible. Entry fee is nominal, 5 rs. Everyone should visit it to know about the rich culture of our tribes. 👍

Museum is rich contains information about cultural varieties of people in Dang district. Showcase of old utensils, god & goddess, mask of Indian artifect, jewellery, weapons, farming tools, musical instruments. Construction needs renovation apart from that nice museum to visit. Women jewellery with actual photograph of people is quite beautiful and interesting. For students entry fee is 2 rs, adult 5 rs and foriegn person 50 rs per person. Opens at 10:30.

It is an average museum. It is maintained by Gujarat government. The building is pretty old and there is water leakage at a lot of places. There is a separate gents and ladies Washroom at the premises, by it is not at all maintained. Entry fees is very nominal, at Rs 5/- per Indian citizen. Fees for foreign citizens is Rs 50/- . For students visiting this museum the fees is only Rs 2/-. This museum specialises on three tribes local to this area, warli, bhil and kunbi. The ornaments, cooking appliances, musical instruments and their grain storage instruments are at display. Overall, a nice place to visit for any social anthropology student, average for rest.

This unique museum has gained importance due to the large number of interesting artefacts and handicrafts put on display here. Amongst the. Top leakage . Wide variety of flowers and very beautifully maintained...they have good places when u can capture the pictures and sit and also relax.. they have a cafe type store downstairs which has very costly items..not tried so cannot comment on the taste. The flowers are such different and beautiful which you may have never seen. There is 10 rs per person entry ticket which seems very reasonable...

It's a small garden in saputara. Entry ticket is 10rupee per person. It also has Kulhad cafe where you can get tea, sandwiches and few other snacks. Its a good place to click pictures.

The step garden here was a beautiful, calm place. There are a lot of photogenic corners here which can be used as backdrop for great pictures. The place is easily accessible, you won't have any difficulty finding it but please check the timings before visiting. It remains closed in the afternoons.

It is cool place for some nice clicks. They take entry fees for the garden. Its worthy don't worry. Best time for visit the garden is in the morning or else in the noon. In the upper side of garden after climbing a steps there is samll hut where we can seat and joy the view of tha greenery of saputara. Saputara Lake is naturally beautiful, but the overall experience wasn’t enjoyable. The place was very crowded, and it felt like there was hardly any space to relax or take in the view peacefully. On top of that, almost everything around the lake was costly—food stalls, boating tickets, even basic things like parking. The crowd and high prices really took away from the charm of the lake. It could be a nice spot if managed better, but right now it feels more commercial than relaxing.

Nice place to hang out. There are too many nearby places to visit. Also number of sports activities are also available. You need at least 2-3 days to explore and enjoy at saputara.

As the name suggests, it is point to witness the beautiful moment of sun setting down. The shades of different colours appearing on the sky is mesmerizing. Also the aerial view of lake and the town visible from this point is awesome. There are two ways to reach the sunset point, one is through ropeway (which starts from Table point) and other one is by climbing up on the hill. It is almost close to 1 km strenuous climb, the vehicles are not allowed except for the bikes which are provided by the locals on chargeable basis (they charge Rs 100 one way). There are few stalls where water and food are available. For children, there are few recreational stuff such as RC cars, horse rides, etc. There is no entry charge if one decides to climb up while travel through ropeway is chargeable. It is located on height and we can only go by a walk by hiking on the hill. It will take some time. The view is amazing from there.

You will find a lots of fun activity like beautiful flower double seat bicycle, bike riding, horse riding, camel ride etc. Also available Ropeway Facility. The paragliding facility here and experience offers a scenic view of the landscapes around and is a perfect adventure activity for adrenaline-junkies. Enthusiasts are provided with a proper briefing session preparing them with the required skills and confidence for this amazing adventure! Beautiful valley and sky filled with colorful hue in the evening. It was awesome place to hangout with family and friends. Sufficient car parking is available.

I visited Gira Dhodh Waterfall again in 2025 on a weekend with my family. The place is always beautiful, but this time the water flow was less compared to my visit in 2024, when it was truly majestic and full of force. Since I went on a weekend, the crowd was quite heavy, which is common at such popular spots. The overall experience was still enjoyable. Around the waterfall area, there are many small stalls and shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, and local gift items, which add to the charm of the visit. There is also a restaurant and stay facility nearby. The food was fine, but the rooms were not very impressive – okay for a short stay but not something to expect high comfort from. In short, Gira Dhodh is a nice place for a family outing or nature trip, especially during monsoon when the waterfall is at its best. If you want to enjoy it with fewer crowds, visiting on a weekday would be a better choice.

Breathtaking view of the waterfall!Add it in your saputara itinerary for sure. Very vast in width..you can park car and there will be some walking distance to the fall...in between there are many shops which sells bamboo handicrafts and other decorative items.

Beautiful Waterfall specially During Monsoon. You need to walk for 3 to 5 minutes from parking place to see this. Looks sunning from a distance and panoramic view is awesome. Approach road is narrow and Parking is a issue on crowded day. So take care of these situations during monsoon weekends.

Unbelievably beautiful and serene place near Vansda. The temple campus and garden both are maintained neatly. The park timings are generally, 11AM - 2PM, 4PM - 6 PM. In case of any event, entry might be denied. Temple campus remains open from morning to as late as 10 PM.

One of the best hills to visit at this time of the year! The roads challenge both amateur & pro riders equally. The journey is just breathtaking! Luscious greenery all around, cool breeze, if you’re lucky it may rain too. Best time to visit would probably be early morning hill climb & descent as the sun sets. Just a humble request to all, don’t spoil the natural beauty of the place by littering the area. Carry a bag with you in which you can put all the trash & dispose it off once you get down from the hill in a nearby dustbin. Other than that, enjoy the trip & the ride!

The roads leading here could definitely use some improvement, but apart from that, this place is wonderful. You can enjoy stunning sunrise and sunset views from the viewpoint. However, don’t expect too many attractions—there’s mainly a viewpoint and a small dome-shaped structure that’s perfect for photos. The drive to this spot is quite scenic and enjoyable, making the journey itself worth it.

Most beautiful place in South Gujarat. A perfect place for nature lovers. Best time to visit in June to September and December to February. The morning and evening views are exceptionally beautiful.

We visited this place after hearing about it from many people. They have developed this beach, it is much much cleaner when compared to other nearby like tithal. Kids love to play here. The best part is they have changing rooms, shower rooms & public washrooms. This is a good beach to spend 3 to 4 hrs together with family.

The beach is ok with nice sunset views but they do need to place some rubbish bins and encourage people to use them To help keep clean and tidy. Also if would be nice if they could place more of them parasols and more shade so that people can sit under them and relax.

The water was kind of muddy, but you can chill under the tree, which are at the shore, there were also other activities to do like camel or horse riding, trampoline for children, small four wheel ride, and many more... But after swimming in sea, we didn't find normal water to bathe anywhere, they should provide it for some money atleast...

Become too dark, as soon as sun is set. There can be better food and beverage options, other than small tea and snacks shops.

Tithal Beach is located just a few kilometers from Valsad city and is easily accessible by road. We reached in the early morning, which gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sunrise over the black sand beach. The morning sunlight reflecting on the gentle waves created a magical atmosphere. We had a lot of fun at the beach – playing in the water, splashing with the waves, and building sandcastles with the kids. The unique black sand added a special charm to the whole experience. Children were especially thrilled and didn’t want to leave the water. Everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and fun-filled time at the shore. There were many local food stalls near the beach offering delicious snacks like bhajiyas, sweet waffles, coconut water, bhel, and batata vadas, which kept us refreshed throughout the day. The cleanliness of the beach and the maintenance by the local authorities is commendable. Parking space was easily available, and basic facilities like washrooms were also present, making the experience comfortable. We clicked many beautiful pictures and created lasting memories. The calm and natural setting of Tithal Beach provided not just fun but also peace of mind. Even with the weekend crowd, the beach had enough space to relax and enjoy without feeling too busy. Overall, our trip to Tithal Beach was a perfect combination of nature, relaxation, and enjoyment. Whether you're looking for a short picnic, some quality family time, or just a peaceful walk by the sea, Tithal Beach offers it all. We’ve already decided to visit again soon, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing beachside getaway in South Gujarat.
