The decorations were wonderful, and the optical illusions on the ceiling were so impressive that I could have mistaken them for real sculptors. I took a guided tour in English, and they explained every detail, which was very educational. Towards the end of the tour, there were photos of the building that were devastated during World War II, and I was impressed by how well it had been restored.

The flow of the visit is smooth, the staff are friendly, and the signage makes it easy to understand the historical context without feeling overwhelmed. Photography restrictions apply in some areas, but honestly, that makes you focus on the craft and artistry even more. The gardens are another highlight. Perfectly manicured and incredibly serene, they create a stunning contrast with the palace’s ornate interior. If the weather is good, take your time — the angles for photos are endless. In spring and summer, it’s absolutely magical. Overall, the Würzburg Residence is a must-visit. It’s grand, inspiring, beautifully preserved, and one of the crown jewels of Franconian history. A true UNESCO treasure and an unforgettable experience.

We spent some time in the gardens of the Residenz which you can do at no cost. The place is neatly maintained and you can get stunning views of the huge baroque palace. There's also parking on the other side of the building as well as a free public toilet nearby.

This is a unesco world heritage site. Very well maintained especially given that it was damaged during the second world war. The key highlights are the glass room, ceiling art and the gardens. The total visit time would be 2-3 hrs. Do spend time in the gardens. The rooms can feel repetitive after a while with the same greek themed tapestries

Excellent place to stand and people watch. The were having a fair so the town was overflowing with beautiful people. The promenade along the canal is perfect for a lovely stroll and a glass.

The benches are an invitation to enjoy the views in all directions. This is a very historic structure. The bars and rearraunts at both ends are good also.

One of the most iconic attractions in Wurtzburg, the bridge’s architectural style with massive statues tucked in niches resembles closely with Charles Bridge in Prague. Both are really gorgeous pedestrian bridges with splendid views from the bridge and of the bridge from shores. Similarity continues in number of tourists and locals crossing them. I have had opportunity to cross the bridge in the morning before local winery stand opens and in afternoon. Much more palatable in the morning. After wine stand opens, the bridge becomes really congested and hard to cross.

This is the main attraction of Würzburg. In the evenings, many locals and tourists gather. Everyone tastes the famous local wine. Beautiful views of the city, the fortress and the river. You don't want to leave this bridge!

One of the most breathtaking spots in Würzburg — absolutely surreal views! The bridge next to the Rathaus is hands down one of the city’s highlights. Standing here gives you this postcard-perfect view of the old town on one side and the Marienberg Fortress towering above the vineyards on the other. When the sun hits the castle in the late afternoon, the whole scene looks unreal — like something out of a fantasy movie. It’s also a great spot for photos. You get wide angles of the Main River, the historic skyline, and that classic Würzburg charm all in one frame. Whether you’re shooting on an iPhone or a pro camera, this bridge basically does the work for you. There’s usually a lively atmosphere with people enjoying a drink and soaking in the view, but it never feels overwhelming. If you’re exploring Würzburg, this is the place you must stop — the kind of view you remember long after the trip.

A very successful experience for children aged 4-12. A large place with lots of options that are very difficult to complete in one day due to the long lines for most of the facilities. You have to arrive with a lot of patience. Overall, this is a park where the attractions themselves are not crazy, but the "wrapping" of Lego does its job. The place is very neat and clean and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a recommended day out for the family.

This is in my opinion the best of the 3 Legoland parks in Europe. Everything is good value here, especially the food and the quality of said food is fantastic. I went into the pizza restaurant and paid around €16 for a fresh out of the oven pizza and amazing chocolate tart. They both felt like they came from an expensive restaurant, very tasty and beautiful presentation. You have the best selection of rides here from small to thrilling. A really good variety - the best being Maximus. An absolutely thrilling b&m coaster which despite the short ride time, offers some incredible moments of weightlessness. The park is kept tidy and clean - the bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. Queues are managed well and have the bonus of single rider if you're a lone traveller like me. Saves a lot of time. Theres a few little themed shops dotted around and although a couple were closed on my trip due to the time of year possibly, there's still a lot on offer. More than any other Lego park in Europe like I said. I had the best 2 days here and I can't wait to come back again.

We took the kids to Germany and our first stop before traditional castles and museums was Legoland Germany! We LOVED it. Drove straight from airport to the hotel (we stayed at the Pirate Hotel), checked in, then did a full afternoon and evening till close. We ate at the steak restaurant near hotels and onsite for snacks, lunch, etc. We prepaid for breakfast at Pirate hotel. Because of birthdays, we did the birthday package (they decorated the room and more) and because tip mattered we did the VIP package. THIS was worth every penny! We skipped the line at every ride, got extra swag & mini figures, and store discounts [don’t forget to ask for tax refund forms at the store (typically 100 or more spent)]. The staff are awesome and most are bilingual if you are rusty. If you are a LEGO fan or traveling Germany with kids, this place is worth every penny! For the super fans, they had themes we found no where else (e.g. adventure series at the log ride); and rides that are not found at the US Legolands. Augsburg and Ulm are nearby if you need a culture/ museum break.

We spent lovely 2days here, great experience for us, adults and our kids. We had lovely weather, so a lot of people arrived, and some attractions were crowded, and we had to wait. Luckily it was just occasionally. Plus was Halloween decorations and products that can bring home🎃🎃 Thank you, will come again.

Great place for young kids . We spent one day there , 2 would have been better as we didn’t see everything. Very reasonable as once you pay all the rides are free . Ideal kids age 5-12.

An absolute dream holiday location for my family and I. My son and daughter loved it, the rides were great, food was good and queues were decent. Staff were very friendly, parking wasn't an issue and having Peppa Pig Park right next door made it ideal for my 2 year old daughter too! It was also great fun for my wife and I. Unforgettable memories were made and we cannot wait to visit once again!

If you or your kids like LEGO then you must visit, the place is huge and there are a lot of activities for all ages. To really cover it you need at least 2 days to get on most of the rides. The only downside is the large ques that form so you don't like to wait a lot then maybe pay more for the express pass. You can also get tickets online for both the park and the parking which I recommend to save some time.

Every nice church. This church has the tallest tower in the world. You can pay 7 Euros and walk all the way to the top. Please ensure that you are semi fit....it is a long and winding staircase of over 750 steps. But the view is worth it. They are currently doing some restorations to the church so please bear with the noise.

Ulm Minster is breathtaking both inside and out. The Gothic architecture is incredibly detailed, and the interior is full of history — especially the 15th-century choir stalls with their intricate wood carvings. The highlight, of course, is climbing the tallest church spire in the world. It’s 768 steps up a narrow staircase, but the panoramic view over the city and, on clear days, even the Alps, makes it worth every step. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and bright, with beautiful stained-glass windows and an impressive organ. The Münsterplatz around the church is also lively, with cafés and markets (the Christmas market here is fantastic). Be prepared: the tower climb is steep and not for everyone, but if you can manage it, it’s unforgettable. Overall, Ulm Minster is one of Germany’s greatest landmarks. Highly recommended!

Ulm Minster is an absolute must-see — not only for its record-breaking spire, but also for the sense of calm and beauty it offers. It’s very easy to reach, just a short and pleasant walk from Ulm’s main train station through the charming old town. When I visited, there was some ongoing renovation work, with padding and scaffolding around the front and upper sections, which did slightly spoil the full view of the façade. However, the minor distraction did not take away from the overall experience — once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. The city’s noise fades away, replaced by a deep sense of peace and stillness. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a quiet moment of reflection, Ulm Minster is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit.

This is an incredible place to visit. The walk in the gorge where you can see how high the water has been and how it cuts into the walls. Look up for some giant boulders caught above the gorge

This is a fantastic gorge to be explored by everybody. The pathway is broad enough to have two big guys walk abreast. There are no stairs or steps until the exit, and it makes sense to transverse the gorge twice to see it from two sides. The entire path within the gorge is nicely surfaced with concrete and very sturdy so slips are unlikely. On weekends, thousands of people visit, so buying a ticket online is recommended.

Paid 4 euros for the parking and about 7 to go in. You can see the place is being taken care of for the entrance price and the small hike is beautiful. I do recommend doing it a bit early though (around 10 AM was perfect for us), because it can become quite crowded.

Breitachklamm is an absolutely stunning natural wonder and a must-visit for anyone who loves hiking or simply enjoying the outdoors. The walking trails through the gorge are well-maintained and offer incredible views of the rushing stream below. You can feel the power of the water as it cascades through the narrow rock walls, creating a dramatic and refreshing atmosphere. The area around the stream is peaceful and beautifully green, with plenty of spots to stop, take photos, or just admire the scenery. Whether you’re looking for a short, easy walk or a longer hike connecting to nearby trails, Breitachklamm offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. Word of caution - Be careful in some of the rocky areas, as the ceilings can be low and it’s easy to bump your head. Good shoes and a bit of caution make the walk much more enjoyable! Tickets cost around €7.50 and can be purchased conveniently at the reception counter or online in advance.

Beautiful river and waterfalls, but… Definitely be aware it’s a super touristy place. If you’re going with a big dog: the paths are very small and there’s people turning around and going back. Also there’s a rather paw unfriendly stair with gauze you have to climb if you follow the red route. 😬 I didn’t really enjoy visiting this place because it was crowded, just too many people constantly, everywhere. The staff at the restaurant at the entrance were friendly and the food was good! Nonetheless, it’s definitely an unique place.

Highly recommend. One of the most beautiful and gorgeous Gorges you will ever see. If you do it when it’s rainy it’s even more majestic. Rain makes the waterfall and experience more magical. 10/10 must do.

Nice gorge to go for a walk. I recommend coming very early since it gets really busy during the day.(Didn't forget to check the opening hours). With the ticket you can walk the gorge in both directions. So you can exit the gorge at the top and continue along the river and come back later to go back to the parking lot. I highly recommend continuing after the gorge and visiting one of the Hintere Engere Alpe (mountain restaurant).

this is one of the must visit place when in Friedrichshafen. there are so many exhibits for aviation and it was a spacious and huge museum to move around. Hardly any quene for each exhibit. however i find very limited merchandise at the souvenior shop and hope that they could duplicate the displayed medal into magnets in the future.

Awesome and completely unexpected visit. I was in the area for work and came across this museum in the late afternoon. Tickets were disconted as there want much time left open but we got around and learned a lot about these awesome airships! Really informative museum and well worth a visit. I expect this is a huge draw after going.

Nice museum for adults. Interesting history and nice view into the zappelin and the accommodations for passengers. For children ( 12 and 11) who do not speak German and are not very fluent in English, there was not a lot to do. So this was a quick visit.

The museum is certainly interesting. Although I expected more. There is a feeling that some exhibitions were created just to fill empty space. The exhibition is very strangely organized. It is difficult to immerse yourself in the topic because everything is simply scattered thematically.

You have to distinguish between the creative aspects of the Bregenzer Festspiele and the guest experience. The first is worthy of its reputation, the latter is amateurish. The stage, the singing, the costumes, the location are all beyond criticism. I've been four times and, even as someone with no interest in opera, the performance has always been a rewarding experience. Your enjoyment thereof is however undermined by neglected basics: the lack of toilets is laughable (allow 20 minutes of queueing for the gents); the hard, narrow plastic seats hurt within 45 minutes; the view is always seriously obstructed because the raking is too flat. By far the biggest flaw is the audio: it is quiet and unclear. The warning about phone use is loud and clear, but then the dialog/singing is indiscernible. Most guests are left reading the subtitles, from which random sentences are missing. Comparable outdoor stages better understand that what happens on stage is only part of the experience. So the Bregenzer Festspiele is a worthwhile experience, if you have realistic expectations - this is not simply a pleasurable night at the theater.

I am visiting the festival next once every two years for the last 12 years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend to buy premium tickets that include a seat inside in case of the opera having to be moved due to bad weather. Also arriving early and exploring Bregenz beforehand is a good idea as Bregenz alone is worth a visit.

We visited “The Freischütz” by Carl Maria von Weber, which is considered a key work of the German romantic opera. We can highly recommend it: amazing, very elaborate decorations built on the lake, great music and singing, large cast, lots of special effects and overall an outstanding performance. The story takes place in a rural German village. Max, a young forester, must win a shooting contest to marry Agathe, the daughter of the head forester, Kuno. However, Max has lost his confidence after a series of failures. In desperation, he turns to Kaspar, another forester who has secretly made a pact with dark forces. Kaspar convinces Max to cast "magic bullets" in the haunted Wolf’s Glen at midnight. These bullets are supposed to never miss their target, but the last bullet is controlled by the devil. At the contest, Max fires his final bullet at a target meant for the competition — but the bullet, influenced by evil, instead aims at Agathe. Miraculously, she is saved by a sacred wreath she wears, and Kaspar is struck down instead. In the end, Max confesses his actions. Rather than being punished severely, he is given a year to prove his worth, after which he may marry Agathe. The opera blends elements of folklore, supernatural horror, love, and redemption, and is known for its vivid atmosphere, especially the eerie Wolf’s Glen scene.

A beautiful place and a fantastic venue, I am here most years for the opera and it never fails to enchant me. It's a very special place and a beautiful lake to go with, I would visit every year and every year again. Food is superb, try the local beer Moran, wine is good value and very tasty, you should come to Bregenz and have a fantastic time, 2 to 3 days is perfect. Enjoy

This has been on my bucket list since I found out about an amphitheater on Lake Constanz! It did not disappoint! Performance: We saw "Der Freischütz" (The Marksman) by Carl Maria von Weber. While it was in German, the story was easy to follow, except perhaps the ending, which was unexpected for me. The actors were amazing, especially when working in a stage with water throughout. Staging: The star of the show! A stage built on a lake with a lake on it. Dilapidated buildings illustrate the young Agathe's desperation to go anywhere else. The staging added to the morose nature of the setting. The use of fire and water defines the infernal struggle going on with Max as he tries to win Agathe's hand. Seating: Stage on the lake, seating on the land. It still had an intimate feeling with 7,000 seats. With the slope of the seating, there shouldn't have been a bad sight line. Although it can be a little intimidating for some. Therefore, if you are uncomfortable with height, choose seats in the lower rows. Another tip would be to bring a pad for your seat. Sitting for two or more hours on weather-resistant plastic seats can be uncomfortable. Theater: The theater was nicely laid out. The restrooms are clean. The lobby is well designed with easy access to amenities. The after show bars provided a nice area to discuss the show. It included special drinks for the festival! I was more than satisfied with my visit and enjoyed it immensely!

It is so impressive, had Goosebumps through the entire show, it surprised me in every way. I have been to many operas, this is a total different game. Go, just book it, you will not regret it. Also perfect for a surprise romantic weekend away.

the island is very pretty and has a lot to offer, many different kinds of nature sections and lots of things for kids around/ food places etc but was quite expensive (especially because i didn’t have long to stay which is not an issue of the place) but i could see how it could be kind of worth it as a whole day activity

The island is incredibly beautiful — everything is in bloom and so well maintained! However, we were really disappointed to find out (a bit too late) that the butterfly house has different opening hours from the rest of the park. We arrived just 10 minutes after it closed and sadly missed it. It would be great if the timing was clearer on the map or signs.

Perfect place for nature and flower lovers. Every season has its own color and the blooming plants. Old trees like Tilia over 100 years old. Beautiful views and walking aleys. Next time, I would bring some lunch and enjoy a picnic.

I can bet it is the most beautiful places I have visited. For the tulips, instead of visiting Keukenhof, this is a better place. Surrounded by nature, play gyms for kids, animals where kids can even feed the goats was a holistic experience. We went with our 2months old baby and it was quite smooth. There were ramps everywhere. Accessibility was not a challenge. The tulips were beautiful. There were other flower exhibitions as well indoors. A must visit for everyone!!!!! The connectivity via ships is also very smooth and timely. We went from Meersberg to Mainau.

Spectacular skiing. The resort is absolutely massive, we could barely make it from one side to the other in one day, if you spent a week here you would hardly be able to get to all of the pistes. The abundance of high speed lifts and gondolas also ensured that we essentially never had to wait to get in some wonderful skiing in a gorgeous location.

Beautiful but NOT for beginners First of all the area is stunning, the scenery the buildings - everything is like something from an Alpine postcard. Every restaurant we ate in over a week long trip was fantastic, however expensive, with the Post and Hotel Krone being our favourites. Our hotel, Garni Schneider, was in a perfect location for the ski lifts and restaurants. One thing the resort overall is is missing is bars and a bit of nightlife. Now the important part, skiing. This is 100% not a resort for beginners. If you read some of the reviews at 3 stars and below you will see the same comments. I class myself as a beginner having learned on artificial snow slopes and then having been on two prior ski holidays to Morzine, France. In Morzine I was comfortable on ALL of the blue slopes and even managed to challenge myself on a couple of red slopes. In Oberlech I couldn’t do the blue slopes, or when I did some of the “easier” ones (210) I was not able to enjoy them. The run down to Lech town was very steep and by 2pm covered in moguls (see photos). There are also a lot of really experienced skiers there who will zoom past you on the blue slopes. Nothing at all against them, but it does make it even harder. There are other things to do like nice walks, gondola rides, tobogganing and St Anton is a nice little town not too far away. Another tip is to bring cash, anything under 10 Euros and they don’t accept card in Austria. Taxis and buses are cash only. If you are an experienced skier, you will love this place! I was jealous of all those making it look so easy! :-) If you’re not and you want to enjoy the skiing, don’t go. Lots of the reviews on websites will say that it is good for beginners, it’s definitely not. Also worth noting that there are no green runs in Austria.

One of the oldest and biggest ski resorts in Austria, comprising a total of 5 towns and their areas. You can tell it's old since some of the original buildings of the former villages are still standing. This is actually quite scenic, as is the whole area. St. Anton is also well known to tourists mainly due to international winter sports events so be prepared for bigger crowds during peak times. You'll find a big number of slopes of which many in my opinion are quite narrow for the mass of people going there. The pistes are nevertheless well groomed. Blue slopes can be rather steep already so be sure to have some experience before going. Food quality is OK, but expensive. The ski pass is one of the most pricy I bought, even parking in the towns is charged (when it's still free in most other resorts in Austria). Conclusion: as it goes for clothe brands and known tourist areas, you mainly pay a high price for the name. But you'll find similar or even better areas for a lower price in the same region. Unless you fancy the chic aprés-ski scene, then it's one of the on-vogue places to go (together with Ischgl and Obertauern).

Top reasons to go? Amazing ski area with modern infrastructure and some of the longest runs in the world. Quality restaurants and authentic mountain huts are everywhere for a nice lunch, schnapps or dinner. The town center of St Anton is, as expected, a little pricey but if you are on a budget there are still places where you can find some nice value. We stayed for a week and certainly did not run out of things to do for the first time...

Lech is Topnoch skiing area. Wide slopes, super groomed slopes and super good vibe in the restaurant. We really enjoyed it! It is true not a beginner friendly skiing slops.

Ski resort with famous name but the operation lacks compared to other ski resorts. It seems to me that when there is snow during the night it takes them too long to open. Also, when there is no operation, anybody will tell you the current status. We took ski bus to Stuben, they tell us that we have to take the ski bus to Lech. This ski bus schedule is once per hour and it just left. So we go back to the hotel to drive the car. 30 minutes later we check the ski lift status and ski lift is open. Terrible experience. I am not coming back. Summary: Pistes: 4* - can be challenging Operation: 1* Ski lifts: 3* - not the newest ones, some places are queued due to small capacity Food: 2* - overpriced compared to Sella Ronda (Lech and Zurs)

If you're here in St Gallen, this place is an absolute must-visit. For 18 CHF, you get access to the library, the vaulted cellar and an exhibition space. Having said that, the library is still the star attraction. Before entering the library, you will need to put on slippers over your shoes. There doesn't seem to be any time limit to stay in the library, so you can always wait till the library empties out to catch great photos of the library. We walked in around one hour before closing and therefore we could only visit the library. You would need to put on cotton-made shoeson top of your own shoes to prevent damages to the wooden floor. The library itself is indeed stunning. Although I could not read any of the books but the decor, the drawings, and all of the details are just delightful to see. A dead mummy is placed inside the library. From what I could tell it is still preserved in good conditions; but if you are scared you could always skip that corner of the library.

Mere words cannot describe this library, the museum, and the adjacent church. It is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. You’re looking at books that are 500 years old, as a geographer I loved the globe from 1530, documents from Charlemagne, and much more. Danke für alles !

I imagine every visitor's dream is to be alone in this library for a few hours, randomly picking books from unlocked shelves. It's a small room that takes you back in time offering filmesque experience that can partially be spoiled with too many visitors inside. Maybe a suggestion for the library to either limit time of visit or the number of visitors per group for better experience.

Very beautiful library room. Surely worth a visit when you‘re already in St. Gallen. I was there on a weekday with very few visitors in the afternoon so I had no queues and at one point the rooms were almost empty. You have to wear slippers on your shoes, which they provide, but it is well worth preserving such a beautiful room. If you have a Raiffeisen Card, you get the entry to three locations for free, which is nice.

Wow. Wow. Wow. You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy every aspect of this stunning time capsule. The architecture alone was something I had never seen before. Truly a must-see when in Switzerland.

One of the most beautiful libraries I have visited so far. Library in Porto is also beautiful but this library in St Gallen has far less visitors so you are really able to appreciate the details of it's beauty.

Love this place! From Zürich its super easily accessible - its a little less than 2 hours from Zürich HB to Klosters Platz. As soon as you exit the train, across the street is a rental place where you can rent your gear. Literally next to the rental place is the gondola entrance. If you didnt buy your ticket online, you can buy it at the gondola entrance (can only pay with card - no cash is accepted). Mid morning its a bit of chaos there as its just one door for access to the ticket box and gondola entrance. I would recommend arriving no later than 8.30-9.00 if you dont want to queue. Even with a queue, you can get to the ski runs in 30 min - 1 hour, it isnt that bad of a wait. Note, that there is a second gondola to take after the first. The runs are really great - not too easy but not too difficult either. There is one run that takes you through the forest and all the way down to next to the 1st gondola. This is where the apres ski is. For the apres ski, definitely arrive a bit earlier than run closure if you want to get a seat inside (there is live music). If you cannot grab a place inside, they sell drinks out of a little car outside and there are a few places to stand/sit as well. After apres ski, its a quick walk across a bridge to the train station and rental return.

Got charged for cleaning fees although no one cleaned the rooms throughout my stay, the apartment was cleaned by us prior to checking out in accordance to the policy told to us by the receptionist. However, two wrapped up trash bags were left due to the trash cans being full and we informed the receptionist of this . The receptionist made us go back to the rooms after checking out to remove the trash bags or else an extra fee would be charged (on top of the cleaning fee we already paid per apartment as we had more than one apartment). There is nothing relaxing about this resort and the customer service in the reception makes matters worse . Overall should have saved my money, time , and peace of mind.

My first Swiss ski experience and absolutely loved it! Not surprising, everything worked perfectly smoothly, lifts, ski rent shop, buying ski pass online. There wasn't so much snow but all slopes were open nevertheless. We went there on a gorgeous Sunday and did over 70km of slopes. The ski pass is a bit pricey but totally worth it.

Lovely skiing spot. It would be very nice if they add lift schedule to their website so that you can check it while you are skiing to ensure that you aren't missing the last lift ride. Currently the list schedule is available in text format with location names but you have no idea what those names mean you obviously look at the map and the schedule of the lifts must be available on the map, which should provide the schedule for both directions of the lift not just one. For example, last main train goes down at 17:00 but the website schedule shows 16:00 - but this is the ride up and is irrelevant for people who are already up in the mountains. In result you have to finish you ski day one hour earlier which is frustrating and not the experience you expect at the ski resort ...

Even though I don't ski, the views from the top are amazing! If you travel by train your stop is Davos Dorf. Once there you walk about 5-10 minutes and then you have reached your destination. To go all the way to the top you change trams but it won't take that long to reach the top. Make sure to visit the village afterwards!

Spend an amazing day skiing on accessible blue tracks, since I am a beginner! A beautiful resort with lots of tracks for every skill sort! Found an amazing restaurant in me middle of track 15, which had an amazing view, and delicious food with vegetarian options! Had an amazing day there!

The best ski resort! Skiing here since 2012 and not bored! Not good for very begginers, but if you are ok on red slopes you should come here to practice. Only few Tbars left, which you can avoid, if you come from Klosters side, ski down to the double chair lift, or go forward to the carpet lift, and then go on higher.. i like that first slopes are done so that you can warm up well, and higher you ski,you can find steeper places. There are many slopes that are wide and straight, where you can practice with different level skiers. There is fun slope that goes parallel blue slope nr15. Some restaurants (one i know for sure) that do not accept credit cards, make sure to have some cash, just in case. I like Parsenn that its in the valley and you can ski several directions of the mountain, towards Davos,Klosters or Saas,Küblis.. on Davos side, there are two fun places: Race slope, where you can get the video of your skiing after you register your ski card, and the slope where you go for max.speed(there's speedometer) Even if you dont want to ski black route, you can take the lift all the way up to see an incredible view of the area, eat in that restaurant and go back with the lift.. totally reccomended. One more thing.. there is a "secret" slope(Seetäli...sssshhhh dont tell to anyone,its our secret;) ), from which you can spot the family of mountain goats(famous Steinbock) in order to earn that experience, you must take a Tbar up ;) dont forget the binoculars if you want to see them even better, but even without you can see them usually. I wish you to have a great ride on Parsenn!!!

It was amazing experience for us. We went from St. Moritz to Tirano. The train has panorama windows and the driving is very comfortable and gentle. The views are breathtaking. I highly recommend everyone to try Bernina express.

Great experience. From chur to Tirano take the Right side for more view. Both sides are great but the major attributes can be appreciated at the right side (from Chir to Tirano). Something that I don't know was that they offer a gift (a mini carrier with chocolate hearts and a beverage tea).

Absolutely incredible! No words to describe the beauty of Alps throughout the journey from Chur to Tirano. This Bernina express is unique and definitely a must try lifetime experience.

This was the best train journey I’ve ever experienced. I went in first class but space and seats are probably the only difference between the two classes. The views are just stunning! You go over mountains, fields, glaciers I could just keep naming things. Around the end (if you are going from Tirano to St Moritz) you can get off at the highest point for pictures and a coffee. The staff are super friendly and always try to make your journey pleasant. This exhilarating ride takes about two and a half hours (if you again are going from Tirano to St Moritz). I highly recommend going on the right side as you get more amazing panoramic views though both sides are great. It is best if you book in advance although upgrades are sometimes available on the day. 5 stars.

Beautiful experience! I traveled today in 1st class from Chur to Tirano — it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The landscapes were breathtaking, the train was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere very peaceful. However, the Wi-Fi link didn’t work, and unfortunately the toilet in 1st class was out of order, which was a bit disappointing for such a premium journey. Other than that, everything was lovely — I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy one of the most scenic train rides in Europe.

We travel to Milan for our vacation, but noticed that there is such a cool train track, Bernina Express. So we decided to try booking the entire trip via Klook. This turned out to be the best decision we made in this trip. The mountainous and forest view along the train route is so beautiful, breathtaking and stunning. Please see the photos and vedios I uploaded. Don’t think too much, just book and go. There are many ways to do this, please look up more detail in Google or Youtube. Highly recommend to go. It’s a MUST in your life time.

One of the best trip we've ever made, a must for any couple despite it was far from our hotel (3 hiur to reach it) but it worth ever minute. On time, good value for money and refreshing. Not easy to book online, you should buy the ticket, then "separately" the seat !

Beautiful lake to spend time by. It was so calm and silent here. We came around about 4-30 pm in the evening in September. It was empty, just saw a few people walking around. We sat here had some food and enjoyed the whole atmosphere! Clean air and calm vibes. Lovely to spend time here. The temperature was also so perfect to enjoy.

The lake in St. Moritz is not one of the larger lakes. Now that we are in August, it is hard to imagine what it is like here when the lake freezes, people are skating and supposedly horse races are even held on the lake! It is very nice to walk along the lake and enjoy watching the ducks. They are smaller and darker than the ducks I know.

Had a pleasant stroll around the lake, it was a windy but sunny day, we stopped by to watch the ducks and had our sandwiches on one of the benches. Amazing view of the lake and the mountains in autumn setting 🧡

Did this hike with my friends and although I did find it challenging at points with regular breaks it’s not only very doable but simply beautiful (keep in mind I hadn’t hiked in years at that point). Lovely views and even a spot for a swim right at the top for those who are brave enough to face the chilly waters!

Magnificent high waterfall. You can walk directly up to the waterfall but before you should take off your clothes unless you are completely wet. It's possible to swim in the river. There is a huge paid parking nearby.

every time I visit chiavenna I always pass by the cascate. they’re so beautiful in winter or summer. recently I’ve been doing some of the hikes that you can find behind the waterfall which continue up alongside it and let me say it’s definitely worth it. you can find many pools near the summit for a quick dip in summer and in winter the serenity is amazing and the running water is a great soundtrack to accompany your hike. recommended 10/10 experience. brought my friends from australia with me the most recent time I did the hike and they also loved it. we swam in the spot in the second photo but beware even in peak summer the water is freezing (worth it though)

A wonderful place. Great for a short and cold swim. There are also very nice hiking roots. The water is freezing year-round. Next to the main parking area there’s an amazing old bridge crossing the stream, and some great pools. There are also more shallow places where children can go inside.

A hidden gem in Ticino! The rocks have amazing patterns and the water is crystal clear. Sadly, we went in November and couldn’t swim. Definitely looking forward for a summer visit to the beautiful valley.

This was the most incredible fresh water ravines I've ever been to. So much so, it was the highlight of my month travelling Europe. As always the Swiss morals of cleanliness and respect were upheld and there was no litter or trash ruining the views. The water was mesmerising, the weather intoxicating and the general surroundings simply incredible. The bus journey up the mountain was cheap and easily accessible, leaving you with various options of drop off. I chose to get of slightly early, to enjoy a hike to the water. Prior warning, despite the summer sun, the water is very cold. In various places there were signs that warned of currents / dangers and even lifeguards present. These areas however, were very sparse and you should make sure the area is safe before you swim. Beautiful views attract admirers, so you can understand why there are usually a lot of people - you might want to get there earlier to get a nice spot. Finally, I saw a snake drop onto a guy sleeping under a rock ledge and while I've never laughed so much in my life... be careful.

Water is cold but refreshing on a hot summer day. Can be crowded depending where you are but it is fun and beautiful! You can even jump from a bridge into the water.

Wonderful place for a long walk in the nature. The river color is almost unreal. Not a very difficult trail and perfect for hot summer days. We walked from Lavertezzo to Brionne and it took approximately 2 h.

Great waterfall zo visit! Especially, when the powerplant opens the floodgates. When you stand near it, t's a good way to cool down as well during hot days. Finding parking can be tricky at the base of the waterfall. Bit the top has arranged parking.

Great walk to get to this place, amazing view of the waterfall right in the mountains. Not too strenuous to get there for a pretty basic hiker like me.

An old trade route and wow this must have been a popular stopping point for hundreds of years. I love the way there is a jetti that allows you to feel extra close to this dramatic waterfall. the valley leading up to it has many waterfalls, more if rained. I reccomend a visit. it's up a long dead end road from beneco. but there are places to stay and great walking at good altitude after the dam and mountain hut.

We love this place. The birds are impressive, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to experience some really cool birds that most of us would otherwise never see up close. We’ve been twice now and for sure we’ll be back again in the future.

Sweet-little green refuge with a great educational demonstration (about an hour; language: Italian/German), and with heart for the animals and very friendly demonstrators. Admission fee? - comparable to a cinema ticket (swiss standard). Know the difference: It‘s not a zoo, it‘s a falconry.

This is a wonderful place with people who love their work and nature. A great show with a beautiful program. Huge thanks for the positive emotions and the love for animals!

Amazing show. Learned a lot about the history of falconry, and enjoyed the birds from a very near distance (had one even on my head). Highly recommended half day trip! Also, the pizza in the bistro tasted fantastic and was very reasonably priced.

A beautiful show of various birds of prey flying within inches of the audience. It was entertaining as well as educational. It is clear that the handlers/trainers love these animals very much. If you'd like to see birds of prey flying up close this is a great place for that experience. If seeing animals in captivity is something that triggers you, then you may consider not going.

The show is really cool. Like you have the Hawks and Eagles literally flying cm over your head. The food is solid but not spectacular. Still: Definitely worth it!

It’s a very beautiful garden right on the lake. I don’t mind paying 10€ just to walk through the park because it does take some work to maintain the garden. It’s a nice place, there’s a museum too. Beautiful place for a 45-60 minute walk, to have the full experience. Nice walking paths along the garden with various plants and trees. All this goes along the Como lake waterfront.

Opening hours are daily 10 am to 6:30 pm. The gardens are closed in the winter time. In 2025 it will close on Oct 31st and will reopen in March 2026. Cost is 10€ you buy tickets at the gates. 2 gates entry one on each side. Located in the town of Bellagio on lake como. Parking is limited as the town of Bellagio is very popular in the summer.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and so well cared for. Everywhere you look, there’s beautiful greenery and an incredible variety of trees. It’s such a peaceful, stunning place to walk through. If you’re visiting Bellagio, this is a must see. I highly recommend making time for a visit.

Villa Melzi is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The gardens are immaculate, peaceful, and filled with stunning colors, especially in spring. Every path reveals something new—ancient trees, vibrant flowers, classical statues, and breathtaking views of the lake. The atmosphere is serene and elegant, perfect for a relaxing stroll or quiet reflection. The neoclassical villa adds a timeless charm, and the small museum and chapel offer fascinating historical insight. The combination of nature, art, and history is truly unique. It felt like walking through a living painting.

Nice museum with several exhibits. Also has gorgeous views of lake como. There is also a restaurant to grab some lunch. It was not crowded when we visited also there was no line to buy tickets. Worthwhile visiting the villa.

An absolute architectural, botanical and historical marvel of the last 500 years. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous - fountains sculptures, and perfectly manicured floral heaven. The garden is truly remarkable with how much variety of plants there are and also the way it's been maintained. For the building itself, nothing short of extraordinary - the design and architecture is impressive. There is so much history and craftsmanship behind this place.

Inside and out Villa Carlotta was a joy to visit. We loved the art work inside the villa. Be sure o look up as many of the rooms are adorned with frescos and or reliefs. The grounds are a botanical wonder with species brought in from around the world.

Beautiful villa with stunning lake views and lush gardens. The inside has some impressive art and sculptures, but the real highlight is walking through the gardens, peaceful and scenic, a perfect spot to slow down and take in the beauty of Lake Como.

Lovely visit especially enjoyed the extensive gardens, agricultural history and interactive commentary in our language about basement life at the Villa. Reasonable €15 entrance (€13 for over 65s) Luggage lockers were helpful. Bistro service for 2 hot drinks was slow on the day(20/8/25) as they seemed short-staffed.

Very interesting. But what I would like is a MAP of the figures on the OUTSIDE of this structure. Clearly there are some very unique figures (not usually seen on churches), like Pliny the Younger. I would like to know more about the why each of these figures/animals were chosen and why they were placed in their current location. The construction of this Cathedral was begun in 1396 and over 300 years combined Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. What is interesting is that the cathedral in Milan was just begun 10 years before. There is a timeline of events related to the Cathedral di Sant Maria Assunta, is located inside, which is informative.

I was surprised by this duomo. It is very well preserved and has an interesting way of keeping the parishioners and tourists separated while not strongly impacting either. This is the only catholic church I have been in that has the old style offering candles. Finally, make sure to take in the ceiling. The use of blue is rare.

This cathedral is one of the most beautiful for sure I have ever seen. You can enter inside for free and also you can admire its beauty from the cafe across it. Order an aperol and enjoy stunning view. Dolce far niente 🇮🇹

The cathedral is within walking distance from the train station. It is open to tourists for praying and picture taking M-S. You can get closer to the altar past the rope to pray only. Beautiful church!

The Duomo di Como is a beautiful cathedral with a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The outside is impressive, and the square around it makes it even more special. Inside, the stained glass windows, frescoes, and intricate decorations are amazing – I could stay for hours just admiring every detail. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the art. Definitely a must-visit in Como!

Really worth visiting but it's a long uphill walk. Great exercise and you can treat yourself to a drink or food when you reach the top if you think you've lost lots of calories on the way up. Lots of history, beautiful views. Finding a car parking space was a challenge but definitely worth the effort & stress.

Sacro Monte is a world class experience not yet overrun by tourism, and unbelievably its free! The hour's walk from the carpark reveals the story of Jesus through 14 chapels with life sized vignettes created centuries ago. It gets steep in parts but there is a pebbled path the whole way. The view from the top is a fitting reward. A vernacular is available for those who are physically challenged. Catch the C Bus from Varese to Prima Capella (end destination). Pay 1.60 euros on board with coins or card.

Just breathtaking. It's a holy town, a destination for pilgrimages for people around, and it's full of history and charmingly picturesque. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, walking through the winding stepped streets, finding its hidden secrets. We have driven all the way up by car, but beware, the parking is very limited, there might be around 50 parking spaces max for visitors. And the vistas from the top overlook the landscape for 20km around, it's magical!

Great place to visit for the views & history. We got the bus (Line C) up from Varese town centre to the top of the hill then took the funicular up to Sacro Monte itself. Gorgeous views out over the hills, lakes & Varese itself. Lots of historic buildings & churches at the top. We walked back down the pilgrimage route passing the 14 chapels/shrines along the way. Well worth a visit.

Stunning Sacro Monte di Varese, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we explore its beautiful chapels and breathtaking views. The Path of the Chapels is an uphill climb of about 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles), though it feels much longer when you are walking it, as it zig-zags you up by 245 meters (about 804 ft.) and can be a little steep in places. Each chapel is frescoed inside, and sometimes outside, and filled with sculptures illustrating scenes from Jesus’ life.

Amazing, dramatic - yet not too taxing - climb up via 14 elegant 17thC chapels on wide path to reach spectacular hilltop village based around convent. Incredible views across Varese lakes and heavily wooded hills and valleys. Stunning.

It was the first island that we went to in our day-trip. The weather was nice and the environment was really pleasant. The view was really nice and the air was fresh. It is a small island and it takes you little time to run through all the island. The gardens were pretty nice and the birds and peacocks gave a nice touch to it. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the palace, which was kind of meh (not that interesting). We later sat down and sunbathed while chit-chatting, a good company makes everything much better :)

Isola Madre is absolutely stunning and worth visiting. It offers a peaceful atmosphere with its historic palace, beautiful gardens full of rare plants and Indian peacocks. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended, especially in the morning for the best views and weather.

Lovely island in the middle of lake Maggiore which is a perfect example of how humans and nature can live together. The palace itself it's a great example of the Italian baroque. While the garden showcases many varieties of exotic plants and flowers. One of the most impressive is the Japanese cypressum behind the villa. I really loved also the peacocks and the fagians strolling around the park and used to the human presence

A beautiful garden to visit. Enjoyed the birds, and the palace has some interesting rooms to see. But found it a bit overpriced vs. Isola Bella or Villa Taranto. A useful tip: come to visit by the closing hours, after 16h, so you avoid the crowds on the boats, and no waiting lines when you leave the island.

Reasonably large size, many shops, a great playground for kids, food court with lots of choices. it is a bit far from the old town, and it is out of the metropolitan zone which we didn't know and got fine on the bus due to having a wrong ticket!

I highly recommend this place for people who are looking to be outside for a little monument like for a family. It’s a beautiful place to visit. You’ve got so many stores there, like Primark, Zara, even some fashion brand closes there. I ate there with my big brother a pizza and the price was honest. If my family comes in Italy, I will surely go there with them and show them this place.

One of the biggest shopping mall in Lombardy. The best range of the mass market cloth and other brands with a possibility to visit a biggest grocery store such as Iper. The food court is very good organized. Parking area is big and has still been developing for more and more parking possibilities. Around the shopping mall is a developing area which will propose more interesting facilities in a near future. Unfortunately, there is a traffic issue but I believe if you drive there a bit earlier then you will enjoy this place, for sure.

Huge shopping centre with multiple restaurants and many many shops, different brands and names. A lot of parking underground and ground floor level on the outside . Easy to find, park and get your way to shopping centre. I was impressed with wooden height ceiling and design of this centre . It felt welcoming, sadly I believe not sure but I think there was many trees inside shopping centre all of them fake not sure what is the problem to plant actual plants would give and create completely fill different atmosphere!! :( anyways easy to go thru shopping centre there is helpful maps , toilets everything with clear markings it’s nice , lift and many escalators. It’s busy place but it’s huge so you can’t feel it that way. Worth visit because most things is in one place . Good shopping centre ! ;)

This shopping centre is impressively massive. There are hundreds of stores and dining options. Despite its size, the cleanliness level is good. Parking area well maintained and provided with several signs to conveniently reach your store destination. I liked the design of the mall, the exterior and interior design, awesome artistic creativity, there are a large number of children's stores, and they have many options for men and women, I liked the various coffee shops, the mall has a very comfortable design for walking and has positive energy, highly recommended, also the toilet are very clean.

Nice center with a lot of different restaurants & shops and a nice supermarket, parking places just in front of, it worth the visit

This museum is a must visit for every Alfa Romeo fan!! The car collection is amazing and very large. It contains concepts, race cars, old models from the 1900’s and more. There is a lot of information about each car, drivers and more. The cars are displayed perfectly and every floor has a specific theme.

This was a great experience. Beautiful cars, lot of historical information, movies, and also good restaurant inside. Recommend to visit when you will stay couple of days in Milano.

Husband is an Alfa Romeo owner, so he was like a child in a sweetie shop here. We wandered around a great display of Alfa's with info regarding each car. Husband was in his element. I was also impressed with the museo. We njoyed a luvly coffee and sandwich in their cafe. Also visited the gift shop to purchase a t-shirt, coasters, and a shamrock wrist band. Thoroughly njoyed our visit :) :)

One of the best car-make museums in Italy. Museum layout is well thought out and the variety of cars on display is interesting for both fans of Alfa Romeo as well as those more generally interested in cars. There's also Cafe and museum shop in the building. Staff is welcoming and helpful, no problem with communication in English. Important note when traveling by car, this museum has perfect parking area right next to the entrance, with generous parking space. It's also free, though it has minimum shade.

You should totally check out the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese! It's awesome, not just for car people, but for anyone into history, design, and cool stuff. They've got a killer collection that shows off over a hundred years of amazing engineering, from race cars to classic road cars, all displayed really well. It really shows the passion behind Alfa Romeo, so it's inspiring for anyone who appreciates beauty and creativity, and super exciting for car fans.

I’ve always been an admirer of the Alfa Romeo marque, despite never having owned an Alfa myself, so when I saw this museum was almost directly on our route from Lake Garda into Switzerland it was a no brainer really. A major bonus is that disabled people & their carers go free which is amazing. They will also loan you a wheelchair if you need one (passport or similar ID required) We got through the museum in about 90 minutes, didn’t bother with the cafe, just had a quick look in the shop. Free parking.

Amazing museum - top cars and very well presented. The staff were helpful and interactive. Definitely recommend visiting if in the area or as a destination.

Very impressive displays, especially the space and car collection. The children indoor playground was amazing as well , and the kids liked it a lot. On the downside - many displays are very run down which is a shame as they could make this place so much better - the train models and tracks are not working and all filled with cobweb, some bathrooms are not functional and the train and old car display in the back of the museum is just sad. Additionally the large open aircrafts next to the airport fence could be cleaned a bit. In addition, there are not too many attractions for little kids, who wanted to enter planes, cars and helicopters but there were only a few of them that could be entered.

We had a few hours before we could check in to our room, this was the perfect place to pass them. Take the sidewalk from upper level / departure to the gate, then call from the gate, and someone will come and unlock it for you. The museum itself features airplanes from the very early days of aviation in Italy. The building is an old airplane factory.

Really cool museum at Malpensa Airport! Lots of interesting history and full-sized airplanes to check out, both indoors and outside. There’s even a café inside with snacks and drinks. Only downside is you might have to wait about 15 minutes for someone to let you in or out, which is a bit annoying if you’ve got a flight to catch. But overall, a fun place to visit if you’ve got some extra time at the airport.

My son loved this museum! Many things to see and learn. We stayed for an hour but you can easily spend more time because there is a lot of information. Very interesting!

Because I still have time before departure and find place to visit. It has many antique cars which I never see before. And it has many aeroplane outside which is very interesting. Just I don’t know why has no entrance from airport which pass thru the bridge. The plate I need walk anticlockwise but it has no road which is only fence. I need walk difficult which cross the sixth rental car park around 20 minutes to arrive the entrance. I am highly recommend to set a entrance which just below the airport bridge and attract the tourist to come

Really great way to spend a few hours if your’e waiting for a flight. Go outside at the second floor and go through the pathway up the highway. There is an alternative entrance to the museum where you have to call the given number and someone will come to open the gates.

Amazing museum. Great collection of aircraft and helicopters. Well worth a visit.
