Wow! Fantastic experience! You could easily spend the whole day at the park. There are number of trails leading around the lakes and under the waterfalls. Every part of it looks do beautiful. The water is extremely clean and the colours vary from light blue to turquoise green. It’s a must go destination in Croatia

Absolutely stunning nature, I felt like I was wandering through the loveliest dream. Aside from the obvious, the forest itself is incredibly beautiful, soft, nurturing, with ivy covered trees, moss adorned rocks, and colorful leaves blanketing the forest floor. I highly recommend coming in mid to late October for the fall foliage, it imbues a mystical quality to this already enchanted place.

Very beautiful park and easy to access. We was lucky to get 2 versions of the scenery. We came late on day 1 (17 Nov), so we decided to revisit in the next day. There was significant snow and the scenery had changed. Although we couldn't go to your lakes due to the weather, the scenery in lower lakes was fantastic.

Such a beautiful serene environment, walking on the trails did get a bit busy at times but once you're in its amazing to see little pockets of natural beauty, clear waters, different varieties of fish, plants and many jaw dropping waterfalls, too many to count. I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Croatia.

This park is really fantastic. We were here for two days. Walked about 30 km. Some areas quite busy (great waterfall). The park's highlight is the many waterfalls it has. Here, the waterfalls resemble delicate lace, an exquisite interplay of streams and intertwining water flows - there waterfalls upon waterfalls. If you're in Croatia, don't miss the opportunity to admire this spectacle! Some of the hiking trails will easily last a few hours, so prepare to spend a full day here.

Great planning in the national park, with bus and boat inclusive with the ticket which is unbelievable at this kind of world-famous tourist spot. Experienced route H, spent around 5 hours and quite easy to walk, thanks for the bus taking us uphill and start at the top with over 80% of the journey are downhill. Fall season should be promoted more, the view is amazing, weather is comfortable but obviously there are not many visitors during Oct.

This is a natural miracle! Everything is well organized-after you buy the ticket, a boat takes you to the park in about 20 minutes. The whole journey is fantastic. Then waterfalls and paths within the park are very natural and amazingly.

An amazing series of waterfalls in a beautiful valley. I had not heard of Krka national park before visiting Croatia as it is not as well known as the Plitvice park but it is just as beautiful. We visited on a day trip from Split in late October. It is about 1 hour 20mins from Split. There are many different areas of the park and we visited Lozovac. Here there is a large free car park with free toilets near to the ticket office. The start of the waterfalls walk is in a valley about 1km from the ticket office. There is a regular shuttle bus every 15 mins or you can walk down a gravel path. We chose to walk down. The path is quite steep in places so you might want to use the shuttle bus to return as it is uphill on the way back. There are more toilets and a cafe near to the start of the boardwalk which is about 3.5km long and is suitable for buggies. There are lots of little streams and small falls but the main falls is near the end just after another cafe and some gift stalls. The whole valley is so beautiful, especially in the autumn and we got lucky on a cloudless sunny day.

Best to visit in sunny weather, beautiful waterfalls and lots of benches and restaurants within the park from skradin side. Very bad direction labelling, the trail is not clearly marked so we ended going around a circle instead of forward to the monastery :( Ask for directions along every way!

Fantastic natural parc! We took the boat from Skrandic and walked the whole round hike to the top and back again. Lot of wildlife and panoramic spots! Don't take a stroller with you, there are a lot of stairs and if you skip them, you'll miss many viewpoints.

Beautiful scenery. Easy walking. Well signposted. Only downside was the price of food and drink inside the park, absolutely disgraceful. €7 for a pouch with less fries than a McDonald's and €19.50 for a pathetic burger. I get not wanting people to bring food and drink in due to rubbish and cross contamination of food/nature but sort your prices out.

We got the boat to the waterfall the views and surroundings on the way were amazing. The food by the waterfall was lovely and then the photo opportunitys were fabulous some of which I posted. Would recommended a visit here.

Fabulous experience of nature. Waterfalls were great. We took the boat from the nearby town and that was great. My mom who had difficulties walking could tag along with her walker. The stroll around the waterfalls were tough but worth it. It took about 30 minutes. Lots of steps here so no walker around the falls but no problem to and from the falls.

One of the cathedrals that is worth the entrance fee (payable in cash). Though small, the baptistery is quite impressive. Outside the cathedral also holds many interesting details to look at. Take the brochure once inside the cathedral to read. Is well laid out information. The cathedral ticket comes with a free visit to Civitas Sacra museum (can skip unless you need find a place to escape the sun).

I visited on a weekday to avoid the larger crowds. The cathedral is one of the most significant and stunning architectural landmarks in Croatia. Since I wasn’t wearing the appropriate clothing (shorts), I chose not to enter out of respect, so I was only able to admire its exterior. Even so, the façade was breathtaking, and I look forward to returning someday to experience the interior as well. For photography enthusiasts, this spot is truly postcard-worthy.

The cathedral & the whole of Šibenik old town are stunning. Get there early or stay late to avoid the crowds. You won't regret it

The must see in the cathedral is the small baptistery with carved ceiling. The 7€ entrance fee does also include the museum in a separate location. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to visit, so the fee is quite high. They only take cash too. They do provide a brochure in multiple languages so that you can do a self-guided tour, which is much better than many other cathedrals.

If you're going to go up the mountain, take sturdy shoes. We went up Vidakov Kuk. 745m high. About 6.4km to get there. The trail is fine up to the point of the Manitec cave. After that, you follow the red and white circles and lines to the top. It's not easy, there are no safety barriers, and sometimes it's pretty much straight up, holding onto rocks, steel wire and trees. Take your time and look for the next red and marker to set your course. When you get to the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent view. To get down there are 2 ways, back the way you came, or keep going, following the red and white markers. I would recommend going back the way you came. Even though the first part of that will be difficult, one you hit the trail it's easy sailing. Continuing on is a task and a half. The trail is VERY difficult. Steep slopes, on rocks most of the way, and you only have the markers as a guide as there is no real trail marked. It's tough on knees and ankles. Sometimes it feels like it will never end, you double back on yourself and feel lost. Plus it takes a lot longer this way. And when you get to the end, you will probably question your intelligence as why you did it 😄. But, if adventure is what you are wanting, do it.

This NP exceeded my expectations. Was a really lovely walk up to the cave and we had a great tour of the cave too. Toilets were clean and stocked. Great day out.

So the park and scenery is great. But the trails although clearly marked they are extremely confusing for people who want to hike more difficult trails. The map provided doesn’t align with the signs on the trails. So you don’t really know what you will see when you reach the trail end. They could mark up loop trails and colour code them by time and difficulty level. But if you have a one day there and want to do quick hike it will be nearly impossible to understand which trail to choose to see something as everything provided by the park is unusable. Restaurants in the park is cash only so don’t forget the money if you want to eat something.

The park is absolutely stunning and worth visiting, but hikers (especially visitors unfamiliar with the terrain) should be careful — it’s very easy to lose the trail, even just a few meters off. The rocky karst slopes can make every direction look the same, and some paths aren’t clearly marked. A small wrong turn can quickly lead into thick, thorny bushes and rough ground. I recommend adding more visible trail markings and some English-language signs or disclaimers, especially near confusing sections, so visitors can stay safe and enjoy the hike with confidence. Huge thanks to the park staff — they were incredibly kind, calm, and helpful when I got disoriented and needed assistance. Their professionalism and kindness really stood out.

Magnificent and off the beaten path!! Great spot for rock climbing or excellent views of the canyon and coast! Absolutely loved the trail and the rain helped cool us off. Could definitely see the park trails getting more slippery when wet.

Beautiful nature. We did circuit C and it took us 4 hours, moderately difficult terrain. The boat trip was also great. There are toilets and refreshment stands at the stations. Nice people everywhere.

The "Great Waterfall" in Croatia is called Veliki Slap and is the largest waterfall in Plitvice Lakes National Park. It has a height of 78 meters and is fed by the Plitvica River. What a magnificent view!

The big waterfall looks perfect. If you are lucky, your impression will be completed by the small drops carried by the gentle wind from the waterfall that fall on the tourists. The impression would be better if there weren't so many tourists in this place, but I can understand why people stay here.

Dreamy, full-on nature immersive! Only downside: wooden path is very narrow plus at water level, so u can't enjoy the waterfall in absolute peace - making space for people passing all the time & the anxiety of your belongings (phone etc) falling in the lakes.

Absolutely gorgeous and an amazing experience to be here. This is the highest waterfall in the Plitvice National Park – 78 meters high situated at the very end of the Lower Lakes. It is fed by the waters of the Plitvica Potok River. Considered as the most beautiful one on the Lakes, this waterfall is also the highest one in the whole of Croatia. A must visit site, when in Croatia.

This was one of the most unique and mesmerizing public art installations I’ve ever experienced. It looks like a giant glass disc set into the promenade, but as the sun sets, the entire thing comes alive with vibrant, shifting lights powered by solar energy collected during the day. The best part? You’re watching this incredible light show right next to the Adriatic, with live waves crashing and the Sea Organ playing in the background. Magical. The atmosphere in the evening is peaceful yet energetic—locals and travelers just soaking in the vibe. A must-visit if you’re in Zadar, especially at sunset.

A very interesting spot on the embankment. The entire embankment is a pleasant place for a stroll, but the sea organ is a must-see, a chance to sit on the steps and listen to the sea sing. The best time to visit is when the waves are moderate. If the waves are calm, the sound is almost inaudible. If the waves are very rough, the sea floods the steps.

It’s a great area to listen to some good music performed at the steps by the sea. The music comes from the waves and ripples underneath the granite steps. It was so relaxing, and it was a great place to sit and watch the activity on the water. It’s a great area for a stroll and gather some history. This is the area for Alfred Hitchcock love to watch the sunset, he said the best in the world. I WOULD RECOMMEND

And when I think about it more closely, it really is the best show I've ever seen! So...the Sea Organ (Morske orgulje) is a unique architectural sound art object and experimental musical instrument located on the coast of Zadar, Croatia. Designed by architect Nikola Bašić, this ingenious creation uses the power of the sea to create a symphony of sound. Hidden beneath a series of large, white marble steps are 35 organ pipes of different lengths, shapes, and sizes. As waves and tides wash into the coastline, they push air through these pipes, producing melancholic and beautifully random musical tones. Because the sea is ever-changing, the organ never plays the same melody twice, making each listening experience a one-of-a-kind moment. Waiting for the sunset while listening to the Sea Organ is truly a spectacular and unforgettable experience. This is confirmed by the large number of people who gather to enjoy the hypnotic sound and the breathtaking spectacle of the sun dipping below the horizon. It's a place where nature, art, and human emotion come together in perfect harmony.

Visited here in the evening with family to hear the sea organ and see the lights. We all had a great time. The kids were able to run around which they liked.

A nice place which you should visit and rest a little bit to enjoy the combination of sounds between sea waves and instruments. It is a nice creation made by engineers under water. Take a break and enjoy the rest.

Very interesting bit of technology with solar power allowing a light show on hundreds of panels. Given that it's right next to the equally fascinating sea organ you're bound to visit it when in Zadar. Great area for the sunset. Some reviewers complain about the number of people - but for my group, all the happy, smiling admirers was a plus not a minus. Definitely worth a visit.

The location is perfect for an evening stroll along the waterfront, watching the sunset while enjoying this unique light show. Best of all, it’s completely free and open at all times. I highly recommend visiting just before dusk to catch the full effect. A perfect spot for photos, relaxation, and soaking in Zadar’s creative spirit!

On the western extremity of Zadar’s old town, this modern installation is a remarkable addition to Zadar alongside its neighbour the Sea Organ. Both are designed by Nikola Bašić. It consists of 300 multi-layered glass solar panels in the shape of a circle of a 22-meter diameter. It collects the energy of the Sun and transforms it into the electricity, which is then used by and around the installation throughout the night. Wait for dusk to be over to fully appreciate the marvel.

Postojna Cave Ticket Store – A Smooth Start to an Incredible Journey Purchasing tickets at Postojna Cave was a seamless and pleasant experience that set the tone for the adventure ahead. The ticket store is located right next to the main entrance, easy to find, and well-organized. Even with a steady flow of visitors, everything moved efficiently thanks to clear signage and helpful staff. Although online booking is also available and highly recommended during busy periods. The staff were welcoming, spoke excellent English, and explained the different ticket options, including combo packages that cover additional sights like Predjama Castle. What I appreciated most was the detailed information provided at the ticket counter — they explain the tour timings, meeting points, and even suggest how to plan extra activities if you have more time in the area. It made organizing our visit stress-free. The standard cave ticket includes an exciting electric train ride and a guided walking tour. While the live guides are very knowledgeable, the audio guide available in multiple languages is also an excellent option. I found the audio guide particularly helpful for getting deeper insights without feeling rushed, and it allows you to enjoy the magical surroundings at your own pace. Overall, the Postojna Cave ticketing experience was extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. It’s clear they care about making every visitor’s experience smooth from the very beginning — an excellent introduction to one of Slovenia’s greatest natural wonders.

Caves are stunning as well as Predjamski castle. Shuttle bus to the castle start at 10am although castle is open from 9am. Timetable isn't on the web site.

The castle is amazing, get the free audio guide and listen to the detailed history of the castle as you walk through it. We drove to the castle and parking is a bit of a hassle, some free others you need to pay for. You can drive right up and do a loop to see what parking near is available.

The castle always amazes me with its grandeur and power. I like that they offer an interactive guide (it's a shame that there isn't one in Postojna Cave). The downside is that they charge for the guides, which I've never experienced anywhere else in Europe - even in Postojna Cave. But I definitely recommend anyone who wants to visit a castle to visit it, you won't be disappointed.

Gorgeous setting for a castle. Would have easily stayed outside of it having a coffee and contemplating rather than paying and coming in, but either way don't miss it!

A different type of castle, picturesque and quaint. Has been used as a backdrop for movies and TV series. The parking is a bit of a trek away from the castle. There is free WiFi, and the castle has a free downloadable audio guide, which is quite detailed and helpful. Lots of climbing up stairs involved. The view from the castle balconies is awesome.

The most incredible castle in the side of a cliff! I cannot believe people are saying not to bother with it - it’s incredible! Really worth a visit, the audio guide available on your phone is convenient and informative! I was blown away, must visit!

Very cool castle, carved in stone. Nice rooms that come with a lot of explanations. You can park there and believe me, this is something you should not miss.

The caves are worth seeing, although it is quite dark inside (for good reasons), and a lot of detail can't be seen. There are hundreds of steps, mostly going down inside the cave. Once the guided tour was completed, I took the exit to the left which includes two options, a 30 minute path or a one hour path. The one hour path was fantastic. There are so many points of interest worth capturing on camera, especially a waterfall. The end of the path was all up hill, with many elongated steps. The rest is along a road back to the parking lot. The morning was all sold out if tickets were not bought in advance. The afternoon was less busy. A free museum of how the explorers found and traversed the cave is under the information centre. A gift shop, cafe and large seating area was available inside and out.

Amazing, monumental, huge and much less commercial and crowded cave than postojna. I really recommend this one for people who want to experience one of the most amazing cave of the world. The amount of space, of the water and beauty inside is just overwhelming. Parking is free, same with toilets. The pace was just a little too fast for people who are less than average sporty. Overall 10/10 Important information: you absolutely cannot take photos inside

Grand. On one level just a large cave complex (dry side) but then the river cuts through the cave and its is magnificent and huge (and for me terrifying). Guide was good and nice to have some time for exploring. Be warned, lots of walking.

Stunning. We were actually unsure before the tour, and it's true you have very little choice during the tour but follow guide and group like a sheep, especially if there are many people like when we visited. But at the same time this cave system is breathtaking. Of course I would enjoy a different way of visiting, slower, with more time, less people. But if that's the only way it's still worth it! But you should be afraid of heights ;) The information at the Park are actually very poor, the information center was already closed before our tour ended, that was a bit disappointing..

I absolutely love caves and visit them anywhere in the world that I can, but this is amazing. It's huge inside. Also the extra walk after the cave tour is equally as good as the cave itself. Spend the extra hour and take the extra steps to make the trip worth it.

Awe inspiring cave that is a UNESCO site. There is a massive gorge with a river running through it that is like something out of the Mines of Moria. This is an absolute must visit if in beautiful Slovenia. You can’t take photos inside the main caverns only on the outside areas.

Just across the border in Slovenia, a country of breathtaking nature, mountains, and castles, you'll find a place of incredible beauty and astonishing statistics: Škocjan Caves. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to one of the largest underground canyons on the planet. Carved by the Reka River, this massive canyon, up to 140 meters high in some places, is a spectacle to behold. The sheer scale is mind-boggling, with the incredible Martel Chamber, one of the largest cave rooms in the world, boasting a volume of 2.2 million cubic meters. Walking through the canyon, you'll cross the Cerkvenik Bridge, suspended 47 meters above the river, and witness other wonders like the 15-meter-tall "Giant" stalagmite. It's a humbling and awe-inspiring experience that reminds you of the immense power of nature. Have you ever visited a place that took your breath away? One important note for your visit: please do not use flash photography inside the cave!

Very lively place with a lot of people, definitely the right place if you want to feel like you are in the middle of a lively scene. Food was good and the service was amazing. The only downside is that I would not recommend you to order the margaritas because they are not that good.

This was an amazing experience as you step through time from the Romans to the Byzantine period and all the way through the 16th century to today. It is an experience not to be missed. You feel directly in touch with history and the sense of the centuries in the church is palatable, making it a unique experience in today’s modern fast-paced life. I cannot recommend a visit to Porec anf the Basilica enough. I would go again.

The square looks impressive, the buildings around it architectural masterpieces. However, I didn't get a sense of the scale and spaciousness of the square. My wife and I visited the square on the closing day of the annual regatta (Barcolana). The entire space was filled with decorations, advertising banners, and prefabricated stalls selling food and beer. It was very noisy, crowded everywhere, but fun.

It is a big flat old stone dock. Great to walk once or twice, be aware that there is no shade in the 37c sun and little room to sit. It was enjoyable to see the Adriatic sea and look at any big ships docked but nothing else.

We visited Istralandija on a Tuesday in September during the off season and had a wonderful time. The park is very clean and offers a wide variety of water slides. Since it was a cloudy day and not peak season, there were very few people which made the experience even better. We visited Istralandia with our two small children (4 years old and 4 months old). Unfortunately, a neighboring sun umbrella—left unattended—was blown over by the wind and hit my wife. One of its exposed metal rods broke loose and left a mark on her leg. Immediately after it happened, we called a nearby staff member for help, but he reacted angrily and pushed the umbrella about 20 cm aside with visible frustration on his face before walking away. Because of this, we asked to speak with the manager, Danijel Lucic. Unfortunately, his response was arrogant and dismissive. He said that “he can’t control the weather” and refused to replace the dangerous umbrella. Additionally, some umbrella bases appear to be too small, making the umbrellas unstable even in light wind. We noticed this happening with several other guests’ umbrellas as well. This kind of attitude and lack of preventive safety measures is unacceptable in a family-friendly water park. Safety should always come first—especially with so many small children around. We expected more responsibility and care from the management. Sadly, we’re disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Went on a grey afternoon & pretty much had park to ourselves! Kids were done in just over 2 hours! They loved it! But why charge €3 on top of the hefty entrance fee for parking, & then another €6 for a locker!!

I visited a year later and I am changing to 5 stars. The food is still water park food, but new items and better quality. The park is really clean. The new grassed area is fantastic also. Bring towels and remember no cash. Excellent place to visit …………….. The water slides are great. The seating is average, lots of umbrellas that don’t work and generally not that well kept. The food is edible but best avoided. Bring a credit card as no cash can be used inside.

Nice for kids! There is a pirate-themed area for younger kids, a s well as pools. For older (higher ones) there are plenty of water chutes and slides. The food is of the average amusement park variety and quality. Picnic areas and gazebos are available, lots of shade on one side of the park

Lovely square with plenty of free parking for motorbikes. The harbour was also very beautiful, sadly in motorbike clothing and 40 degree heat, we didn't stay long but would love to revisit one-day.

Tartini's square in the City of Piran, Slovenia, is a beautiful example of Mediterranean city urban planning that nailed it. People of all ages enjoy spending time there. It is vibrant all day long. Great views - to the marina, the sea, surrounding buildings, monument of Tartini, shops, caffees and restaurants, a lot of benches to just sit and relax while you get amused just by looking at people of all ages doing their thing. It is a real jam for photographers and a great place to make a tone of different selfies.

I had the baklava ice cream and hands down it was the best ice cream I've ever tasted - my partner agreed and he is an ice cream fanatic! Highly recommend, amazing ice cream and lovely friendly service too.

Nothing special. A square with some caffees and restaurants. Okay view, so if you are around it's worth a visit, but I wouldnt travel there just for this purpose.

A must see if you visit Gorizia. It was very damaged during the war but they made amazing job. Inside is very good museum, I recomend you get a tablet at the ticket office for virtual guidance. The mideval kitchen is very well preserved. Unfortunatelly the second floor is under reconstruction so we left it for next time.

Wonderful castle dating back to the 12th century. The history of the castle is very interesting, as it changed hands numerous times during the ages, with each owner leaving their own mark. Visited during a rainy day which only added to the atmosphere of the place. There are numerous interesting exhibits, including weapons and musical instruments. The great hall hosts a multimedia presentation on the history of the castle and the surrounding lands. The price of a ticket was 10€ per adult, with tickets for children and senior citizens costing less. The price of admission was well worth it, as the ticket office will also provide tablets on request which will enhance the experience with interesting tidbits of information. This is a must see!

Views are fantastic. We weren't able to go in but the small village adjacent has a church and museum that are very nice to see from the outside. There a several spots you can walk around to see the cityscape. Loved it even without entry.

Good and much needed renovations make it worth the visit. The audioguide wasn't working very well but is included in the price (maybe we got a defected one). Overall very well done and exhaustive.

A cradle of our faith for my country. From here the misionary work went out to the east. Glorious holly place, with a lot of history, beautiful mosaics and old architecture. Cript is amazing with lot of relics.

One of the most important church seats in this part of Italy, also for Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. Basilica is build on the 1. century Roman mosaics, that were covered in 4. century by other level of mosaics. On top of those two layers of mosaics the present church was built. The Bell tower dated from 11. century. The three naval church has leather patriarchal seat. The crypt is full of frescos from life of Jesus and the life of saint Hermagoras and saint Fortunatus. You can admire early and fine early Christian mosaics. I liked the most the one with a turtle and the big one that represents sea with boats and sailers.

The Basilica of Aquileia is a treasure that everyone should visit. The mosaic floor is absolutely stunning, and the space around the Basilica is pleasant and relaxing. The frescoed crypt is also fantastic! Absolutely recommended when passing through the FVG region!

The Basilica is a beautiful piece of architecture. Majestic with a magnificent mosaic floor and ornate wooden roof. Also fantastic is the visit to the archaeological dig area below the Basilica where it is possible to see the early roman mosaic dating back to the first century a.d. The area surrounding the Basilica is also very interesting and kept in order.

One of the most beautiful churches ever!

Italy is a country of historical beauties and this Cattedrale is undoubtedly one of them. As soon as one enters the building is immediately overwhelmed by history: the view of the soffit and of the floors, covered by mosaics, is truly breathtaking. When admiring this church you can “touch” the architectural, engineering and artistic ability of our ancestors: these treasures have withstood over a millennium (even more, when considering the original layers dating from B.C.). The building basement is a surprise of mosaics and there it’s really astonishing how, through small tiles, those artists were able to depict amazing subjects, such as animals, faces and various objects. Just a small suggestion: the descriptions of the mosaics made on the handrails, has it is done, is not a very clever solutions, since most of the writings have gone.

Incredible natural beauty! The bridge over the water was breathtaking. Hike was fairly easy to do with kids. We also enjoyed the little drink station you can donate money and take a cold beverage. They also had bee boxes which were fun since I have kept bees in the past. So that was exciting.

Very beautiful with lots of places to stop and touch the water. You can go down to the river itself but it is not an easy descent. The whole path is not accessible and it is not a very easy walk but it is very peaceful and beautiful. Entrance fee is only at the last leg of the walk.

It’s a must if you are in Slovenia! There is a huge parking lot - you have to pay via app the parking. Then you have an easy 20min walk to the waterfall that seems to be like out of this world! Truly worth the walk and drive there.

In Kobarid there is a paid car park (the first hour is free and the rest is reasonable) you have 15 minutes to Napoleon Bridge. In pick times, you should go in early (we arrived at 10 and had no problem). Otherwise there is a huge car park (Kobarid Fall). Make sure you download the app Easy Park in advance or bring cash. The route is very nice and the waterfall costs 5e per adult. There is a family fare. The river is absolutely beautiful but the waterfall is out of this world. You can continue the route and do the long historical trail but it's a bit steep and in total 7km long. In the route you can also see the trenches and a wooden bridge. If you are coming from Ljubljana we recommend getting the highway to Nova Gorica and then the 103 and 102. This path is less curvy than other roads.

Absolutely beautiful place and well worth the hike to it. We went to see Slovenia’s largest waterfall the day before (Slap Boka) but it’s such a disappointment (when there isn’t much water) compared to the Slap Kozjak. The final view point is from a wooden area, all well done. Some steps might be a bit wet but there’s usually a metal line to hold onto. There’s an entrance fee of 5 Euro which is well spent.

Nice experience. The official parking is about 20 min away. But the trail to waterfall reveals beautiful Soča river so no boring moments. As per May 2025, the wooden bridge was closed. But new wooden beams were already stacked near by which make me conclude that it will be reopen soon. The entrance fee is decent 5 EUR. The walk from entrance to waterfall is 5-10 min. The one issue is end of trail because the visitors need to come back the same way. The platform near the waterfall is quite small and the passage is very narrow and only 1 person can go through. In our case, a lady stopped in the passage and took pics for a long time. Would suggest to management to put signs in that spot. Other than that, great place!

This zoo is a great place to spend the day and offers a wide variety of animals to see, including capybaras, giraffes, tigers, pumas, and lions. The enclosures are nicely designed, and it’s clear that the animals are well cared for. The layout is easy to follow, so walking around is simple and enjoyable. One of the nice touches is the small bar where you can grab a cold drink or a snack like a sandwich perfect if you need a break. You can also bring your own food and enjoy it at one of the picnic tables, which is really convenient. Overall, it’s a fun and relaxing place to visit, whether you're going with friends, family, or just looking to enjoy a few hours surrounded by animals and nature. Highly recommended if you're looking for a well-kept zoo with a good atmosphere.

Very clean, beautiful zoo. We were in the park for 5 hours. The only downside is no free water fountains (or at least not that we're aware), we paid 80 cent for a liter at a refill station. Other than that animals were out and about and we saw 90% of them very clearly, even the famous snow leopard.

Small but nice zoo with quite many spieces on small territory. Some animals were hidden. Clean toilets, many opportunities to have a rest a many places for children. Nice time to spend when weather doesnt allow visiting the beach.

Well organised park,easy to get around,clean. It's accessible also for strollers and for people in wheelchair. It was thought through. Lots of trees that offer shade and 2 pretty big playgrounds for kids. Animals are well taken care of. The bathrooms are all clean, changing table for babies is also available. The parking is free 100m from the entrance. We enjoyed our day,it was during the week so we were almost alone. The only negative thing is the entrance fee. I believe it really is too expensive. We will come back because it's a great experience and well spent day..

One of the nicest Zoo I ever visited. Animals looked well taken care of and whole Zoo seems well maintained. There are also 2 nice playgrounds for kids. Would recommend for all families.

I was surprise that i could chilled there and slept for about 2h on the "liegenstuhl with sonnenschrim" without getting charged for the place.. It was so relaxing with the sound of the wave, summer Breeze & giggles from the kids who were playing there n having fun.it has beach sevice guys to control everything there or if u need help. The beach is nice, clean, and even have closet room and shower. But the toilet was dirty and one of the cleaning service was so rude.

Water quality is good anway its not for snorchling, due to sand visibility in water is low. Beach is clean and fully equipped with important facilities like bar, toilet, place for rest, showers. Like that is forbiden to smoke on beach, anyway you have option to smoke in dedicated places. Issue for me was that this beach is duting season very overcrowded with milions of people, anway in water is enough placem acces to wate is very good for kids, slowly invreasing depth of water. Safety included from beach staff.Lot of guys is selling stuf on beach and yes is warmy here during the season 🙂

I just passing Bibione and want to get fast swim, well the water is dirty because of sand that is obvious, so no snorchling. The prices for sun beds are crazy 😀. I guess is good place for family with the Kids.

Beautiful palace hidden in local area. Visit after lunch in San Daniele for world famous prosciutto. Restore nicely and taking very good care of. Beautiful ceilings and wood doors. The only down side is almost everything in Italian although I tried with audio scripts in English there is much less information than my husband gets in Italian and also some of them are no description as well even in Italian. I was very curious to an object in church, which contain looks like born or something. My husband is from local and he said he never see inside when he was small. So hope to get more attention from people and they can keep it for future. All the staff are very nice and helpful.

My second visit since 2022, glorious as ever. The festival covers a wide range of stalls with great artisan products and incredible collection of plants. We bought a camelia that blossoms through the winter which is unbelievable almost and a fancy variety of cosmos. Can’t wait to plant them already!

A gem worth visiting when in FVG. Villa is “empty” of any original furniture, but hosta many exhibitions. It is free to visit the outside premises and the park behind the villa, where you can find serenity.

I already been here for two concerts. It is amazing, very intimate vibe. Entering a concert here is as easy as it gets. Before you know it, you are already in front of the stage. Be aware, parking can be a bit chaotic, so if you are not from around, I recommend you paying for parking (15 eur approx). I recommend booking parking 5, as getting to it is a lot less chaotic than 3 and 4. Still be there on time, you never know. From any parking, you will have a good 15/20 mins walk to the venue, so allow yourself time. From parking 5, the walk is very nice. Locals place small bier gardens on their gardens so you can have a stop before or after the concert You walk in slowly into the villa and right before you know it, you are there with you fav artist. Enjoy it

At the concerts those that just parked in the field were better off than those of us that paid for the parking. If you want own water, you better have a backpack with bladder. Otherwise beer is not expensive.

We visited the outlet during the Venice Carnival and thought it would be very crowded due to the huge influx of tourists, but we were wrong. It was calm, and we could enjoy the walk. There is a great variety of stores. In some of them, the prices didn’t seem significantly lower than in regular shops, but in others, there was definitely a noticeable difference. Honestly, we expected lower prices and more deals.

A lot of stores and a wide range of brands, ranging from sweets, travelling equipment, household equipment to off course clothing. The area has a lot of cafes and dining places. A nice place to walk around and do shine shopping. They also have some 50kW charging stations in the parking area - easy to find navigating by the signs.

This is maybe the most beautiful outlet village I have ever visited, and I have visited a lot of them. Only 30 min from Venice, you should add this as a stopover to your trip and spend a day here. It has a huge parking (few of them), and it is extremely clean. You can easily find almost every Italian luxury brand here, but the awesome deals are not so easy to find, you have to dig deeper. Sometimes there are several really good shopping deals, sometimes less, but it is a pretty small chance that you will leave it empty handed. It is worth a visit. But set aside at least 4/5 hours considering its size.

One of the largest outlets in Europe. Nicely organized and you need a few hours to visit everything. As for the offer, it concerns various brands, including Italian ones. Prices in which shop, sometimes it pays off, somewhere it doesn't. The restaurants within the outlet are commendable in terms of what they offer (of course, you won't eat like in authentic Italian restaurants anywhere here, and you shouldn't expect that. The parking lot is very spacious and even when it's crowded, you can find a place relatively easily and quickly.

I like it - you can get all fashion brands on one place. Mostly, you need some luck as well, you will find also many good prices/discounts! I like such shopping centre as your family can go buying necessary, you can wait on the fresh air and simply enjoy

Outstanding outlet! Compared with other outlets this one is by far the most beautiful! Whole mall is clean. Entourage is great. Almost all the nice brands are in the mall. Discounts are real. Lots of food and drink places. Enough toilet facilities. And parking space more than enough! If you’re early you can park nearby, otherwise you will have to walk a couple minutes.

Very beautiful lake, mountain scenery and town with restaurants and promenade. Lake may be drained in winter.

Beautiful spot to spend the day. The lake of Barcis is surrounded by beautiful mountains that make the scenery just magic. When the water is high (and it's important to keep in mind that this is a semi-artificial lake and sometimes it might not be full, as in the first pictures), the landscape becomes a perfect mix of turquoise waters and green woods. There is plenty of things to do: taking a walk around the old town of Barcis, walking across it's bridge, visiting the old road + the Tibetan bridge (this has a cost of 3€/person + 3€/person if you want to do the bridge), take a walk around Sentiero del Dint and see the lake from different perspectives (this is free and my favourite), etc. Highly recommended!

Nice little lake tucked in the mountains. We took bread and fed the birds, had a pick nick and then explored. Went around the lake multiple times. Water was down but lots of construction in the area. It was great for a nice relaxing afternoon away from the towns.

Beautiful Lake! Areas for families to bbq and children to play. Hiking 🥾 trails and shallow areas for children to swim.

Must visit if in area. But tourist train ride and hike in Cellina gorge is closed on weekdays till july.

Fantastically beautiful! Blue green seren water set against a backdrop of old layered mountains. Crisp cool mountain air even in the summer. You can never go wrong with going to Barcis for a respite from life.

Nice area, great mountain scenery, good for short hikes, but also for longer ones. The lake is not natural but the result of a dam (just in case you expect a "real" lake).

Beautiful path, quite easy to do for people of all ages and fitness. The standard loop walk of about 1.5 miles takes you through the caves and canyon where you can see waterfalls. You're given a map at the ticket office but even without it the path is well signed and easy to follow. I recommend going early morning in summer as it can get hot hiking back up. Also the parking is a bit complicated to figure out, it would help if there were a sign post next to it with instructions instead of on-the-go reading from the meter screen which is difficult when is very sunny as the day we went. A standard loop walking slowly takes you about 1 hour so don't pay more than 1.5h parking unless you plan on having lunch at the restaurant inside the loop path or stop at the bar near the car park.

Very cool place, challenging paths and great views. Lots of history and ecology along the way. Parking is 2€/hour and entry is 4€/person. DONT TAKE THE CASTLE DETOUR, long, difficult and underwhelming.

It is an easy walking activity and very interesting cave. Not so big, so don’t plan hours. We could manage it in 1 hour. You can park next to the bridge in a Parking lot, 1 h = 2€. You need to buy the parking ticket directly from the automata. We arrived around 10 am, it was not busy.

Beautiful, easy hike that’s great for young kids. There’s 2 restaurants near the trail and parking is easy to navigate. The trail is about 1.5 miles

nice little 1km hike through the caves / along the creek. Walking slow and seeing everything you can finish in 20/30min. 4 euros a person and 2 euro per hour for parking is a little much but it’s a decent walk / attraction

We had a fantastic experience here all thanks to Dino and the two wonderful girls. Not only is the attraction very stunning to look at and interesting to see( also a bargain 4 euros). We accidentally dropped our car key on the route and Dino and the girls couldn't have been more helpful, searching with us and hero Dino found them. Thank you so much guys for a fantastic experience!
