Stunning place, absolutely amazing. Even though it was a rainy morning, the view over the falls and around was breathtaking. I bought boat ride tickets online, but I couldn't use them because our bus tour arrived too early and we only stayed for one hour. There is a very pleasant promenade with benches to rest on, multiple viewing platforms, a couple of gift shops, and several toilet facilities.

It is a beautiful waterfall. I came to it with the knowledge that it is Europe's largest and most powerful waterfall but when I saw it I was not impressed at all. Compared to the major waterfalls in other continents, it is not that large or powerful. But it is beautiful. And the walkway that leads to it is fine. There is plenty of water and it is so beautifully blue. The foamy water under the waterfall is nice to see. And there are quite a few waterbirds there such as gulls.

The Rhine Fall offer a truly spectacular natural experience. We have visited several times and we loved it everytime. Until now, we have always chosen the entrance via Laufen Castle, which features a panoramic trail and a viewing platform situated halfway down. A staircase leads directly to the base of the falls, and after passing through a short tunnel carved into the rock, visitors can admire the waterfall from an impressive side vantage point. Watching the immense volumes of water cascade downward is endlessly captivating — a sight that draws us back time and again. I can also recommend to enjoy the boat ride to the Fall. It‘s a great experience!

Absolutely breathtaking! The view of Rheinfall is simply amazing—powerful, majestic, and unforgettable. Whether you're standing on the viewing platform or taking a boat ride close to the falls, the experience is incredible. Nature at its finest!

A wonderful creation of nature and if you are in Zurich i would recommend having a visit to Rhine falls. It is easily accessible via train and there is a train station that gets you right to the viewing point of rhine falls. You have to buy a ticket to enter the falls which was around 5CHF at the ticket vending machine located there. No need to prebook the tickets. Then you have to take some steps down thus a small walk will take you to the viewing platform of this huge waterfall. You will feel the mist as the water power is really great at the viewing platform. There are several boat services which you can hop on to on an extra cost and will take you closer to the falls.

A must-visit Swiss landmark! Plan at least half a day, walk down from the castle to the waterfall, enjoy the view at various view points, take a boat tour with an audio guide, have a bite, walk back around the waterfall and over the bridge. Visit after a heavy rain when the waterfall has lots of water. Try to come during the week when it’s less busy. There is a little tourist train going around the waterfall and showing some of Schaffhausen. Very easily accessible by car or by train.

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) in Lucerne. It was a beautiful evening, and the entire setting felt almost magical. The iconic wooden bridge, with its charming roof and historic paintings, reflected perfectly in the calm waters of the Reuss River—making it one of the most picturesque spots we’ve seen in Switzerland. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere around the bridge. As we walked through, the gentle lighting and the flower decorations along the bridge added to the charm. Right nearby, the Old Town was buzzing with life. The streets were lively with cafés, restaurants, and little shops, making it a joy to stroll through. The blend of history, culture, and energy gave the whole area a very warm and welcoming vibe. Walking across the bridge and then meandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Town felt like stepping into a postcard. The combination of medieval architecture, colorful buildings, and the vibrant evening atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. If you are in Lucerne, visiting Chapel Bridge is absolutely a must-do, especially in the evening when the city lights and reflections on the river create such a breathtaking scene. It’s not just a landmark—it’s a place that captures the heart and soul of Lucerne.

Chapel Bridge lives up to the hype being the most iconic outdoor attraction in Lucerne. Pictures of the bridge from the river shore streets are more scenic than photos taken from the bridge itself. Given that fire of 1993 destroyed at least two thirds of the bridge, don’t expect too much from exposed paintings. Fortunately, Water Tower was spared and bridge was rebuilt and reopened in 8 months carefully reconstructed to preserve historic details.

Lucerne is beautiful city. The Chapel Bridge is one of the iconic attractions of the city. Very beautiful bridge with nice view of the river and the surrounding.

Beautiful bridge which has significant history; there had been a fire in the 90's but apart from some blackened sections it had been repaired. It was not crowded. It provided lovely views of the mountains, lake and Luzern itself. The wood is lovely and the craftsmanship is evident everywhere with examples of quality joinery etc. It's a short walk from the main railway station. I found it peaceful and calming. We were out of season.

It is a very nice, special place, always beautiful the flowers at the bridge. Mass tourism, a photogenic square, easily accessible from the train station and ship station.

If you're in or neat Lucerne Mount Pilatus is a must see. I took the train from Lucerne to Alpnachstad and then took the cog train up the mountain. I had absolutely perfect weather and the views were stunning. There is a restaurant multiple lookout points and a few trails I hiked. I then took the gondola down the other side of the mountain. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views all around. Be careful about visiting during spring, as parts of the viewing decks may be closed because of snow as late as early june in my experience. The facilities are new and very nice. I would recommend to take the cog rail up, and the gondola down the mountain for the best experience. Worth every penny.

My visit to Mount Pilatus was absolutely unforgettable! The entire journey — from the climb up through stunning mountain landscapes to the breathtaking views at the top — felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The combination of thrilling rides, fresh mountain air, and panoramic scenery makes it a must-visit destination in Switzerland. The facilities are well-organized, clean and tourist-friendly. The staff were helpful and very professional, making the experience smooth from start to finish. Whether you take the world’s steepest cogwheel railway or the aerial cableways, the adventure is incredible in every way. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland — Mount Pilatus truly feels like being on top of the world!

What a spectacular place! If you are visiting Switzerland, spend some hours at Mt. Pilatus. I took the steap railway to the top, but you can also choose to hike.

Mount Pilatus was definitely a highlight of the trip to Switzerland. The weather in mid September was cooperative (it was as warm and sunny on the mountain as in Lucerne). Classic trip as advised: bus, cable cars to the mountain and trip back via cog-wheel train and lake cruise ending in Lucerne. Nature beauty is unreal, hiking a few paths at the top (paved or stairs) is almost a must. Utter surprise how tasty were the local beef hot dogs at the fast food joint on the mountain.

Absolutely breathtaking. The top of Europe it prides itself as. 3475M of elevation. A must visit if you're in Grindelwald. You have to change trains twice to get up here but the views are amazing. Theres different stations that you can go to and there's an ice station as well. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.

It’s the kind of place that makes you whisper “wow” before you even realize you’re doing it. That said, the experience is very tourist-oriented — and I say that with both appreciation and a smile. On the one hand, it’s impressive how accessible everything is: tunnels, elevators, shops, cafés, even an ice palace. The Swiss engineering behind this mountaintop infrastructure deserves applause. On the other hand, the sheer number of visitors can make you feel like you’ve taken a scenic detour through a luxury shopping mall at 3,500 meters. And then there’s the crowd itself — a fascinating, unstoppable wave of excited tourists from all over the world. You haven’t truly experienced the Jungfraujoch until you’ve seen a group of people taking selfies in sneakers at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level. It’s equal parts surreal and entertaining — like a nature documentary directed by Wes Anderson. All in all, the Jungfraujoch remains an unforgettable experience. It’s beautiful, over-the-top, slightly chaotic, and absolutely worth it. Just don’t expect solitude or silence — and maybe bring sunglasses, patience, and a good sense of humor along with your camera.

Absolutely stunning, snow all round the year, less tourist compared to Titlis. A nice tour route set up. You will clearly need 5 hrs and more if you want to enjoy every spot at your pace. The snowtubing and sledging were absolute fun. 20 CHF for Half hour and unlimited rides. Ice palace was beautifully carved. The hot chocolate shop at Aletsch glacier was yummy. Point to note- you have to walk a lot there, but for older people and people who are unable to walk a lot, there are places to sit in the warmth of the tunnel and enjoy the views.

Mürren is not merely a place to visit; it is a place to feel. A place where time loosens its grip, where every breath tastes of pine and glacier, and where the heart instinctively slows to the rhythm of the land. An absolute must see if you're in the Jungfrau region. The views of the Alps are unreal. The viewing platform at the Sphinx and the area with the flags lower down give the best photo opportunities. The ice sculptures are worth checking out.

The number one attraction as well as the most expensive attention in all of Switzerland. It cost about $500 usd for two people. The gondola ride up is amazing and the best cable car ride in the world. After the cable car you arrive at eigen glacier which is also very beautiful, then you take the train up to jungfraujoch and the train stops in the middle for you to see another glacier. Once you’re at the top there are several stations you can take a look at most of which can be seen in the photos I posted. You’ll also want to check their public webcam to make sure the weather is good on the day you come.

Beautiful mountains. There are many activities. Suspension bridge, glacier cave,cliff walk etc. I visited in the mid of August. Because of rain and fog they closed Suspension bridge. Cliff walk also not done, Because of poor visibility. We should avoid visiting if the weather is bad. But the cable car ride was too good I could not take pictures much Because of the weather. They have restaurant in the 2nd floor. , coffee station, souvenir shop etc. One should wear good layers even in summer time. Because it's cold on top of the hills. Carry umbrella, rain coat, gloves.

Good but not great. Titlis is widely popular as a budget friendly alternative to expensive Jungfraujoch which results in huge crowds coming here even on weekdays. The rotating cable car is always overcrowded. On the top level, there are activities like 'I love Titlis' photospot, Titlis cliff walk, Ice caves with ice sculptures and DDLJ cutout for Indians. Ice Flyer requires an extra ticket to be purchased. However will not recommended it as crowd spoils everything here. The restaurant on top is good and you can also bring packed food and eat in seating area there enjoying stunning views from windows. On first level from where you change to Rotating cable car there is snow park which has activities like snow tubing and sledging which are free. I enjoyed snow tubing it was great fun and a must do. There is also free shuttle service from Engleberg station to Titlis base. One star deducted for excessive crowds. The snow on top is very very slippery so mind your steps. If you are looking for privacy and calm experience, I would recommend to skip Titlis and go to other swiss snow mountains like Schilthorn, Matterhorn glacier paradise, Gornergrat Matterhorn or Glacier 3000 which are less crowded.

It was an unforgettable experience for me. Enjoyed the journey from Zurich to Mount Titlis. Cable car and rotating Gondola ride was exciting. Experiencing the Glacier cave was amazing. Enjoyed every second during my trip to Mount Titlis. While descending also visited the lake in between. Lake and the surrounding was serene. I had booked my journey from Zurich HB station. There is information center. People there are very friendly to assist. I shall cherish this memory lifelong.

Under Construction and lot of space reserved and restricted, few restaurants space used by few people as prayer room… restaurants views also obstructed…. Construction will complete somewhere in 2026-2027. Single photo on ice flyer and clif walk cost 19 CHF. Few other places are also closed and under renovation… snow park is not active… on lake should have installed paddle boat so people not expert can enjoy and sign board says on own risk….

Super impressive to see a glacier with your own eyes. It's well managed and completely safe. You could potentially go with just a T-shirt if the weather is above 0° in the summer but I jacket is recommend.

Be aware: Your ferry ticket will not cover the palace and gardens. These cost an additional 13€ per person. That said, the gardens make for a lovely walk, and the peacocks are a delightful addition. They're friendly enough to approach crowds (and we sat beside one as we enjoyed a drink at the cafe.) The path is often steep however, and contains a large number of stairs, which might cause difficulties for some visitors. Also, the palace is littered with crude waxworks dummies, which made it more like a House of Horrors than a museum.

This place is of timeless beauty, it is extraordinary and absolutely deserves to be visited. Pause to read next to each exhibited object, you will be captured by the details that at first sight the eye cannot focus. On the effigy of the Borromeo we read "humulitas", it certainly makes a little smile, in all my life I have never seen so much pomp. Very beautifull! Strongly recommended.

Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Madre, situated on Lake Maggiore, is a serene 16th-century residence reflecting the private life of the Borromeo family. Worth the visit! We visited Palazzo Boromeo on our half-day tour of the Borromean islands. We bought a ferry ticket dockside in Stresa for 2 islands (Isola Madre and Isola Pescatore). I really liked this palace for three reasons. 1) It felt lived in and loved by its inhabitants. There were tableaux with furnishings, paintings and statues of men and women dressed in typical aristocratic clothes of the day. It wasn't glamorous or gilded everywhere ~ that kind of opulence is what you'll find on Isola Bella, should you decide to go there. 2) There is an extensive puppet theatre exhibit in a wing of the palace. At least 6 rooms are devoted to the puppets, scenery and costumes from their theatrical productions. I felt this was truly unique and unexpected. 3) The magnificent Cypress from Kashmir. The tree was restored to standing after a struck down during a storm. Also, the botanical gardens are lovely, and the peacocks and pheasants who make their home on the grounds.

Lake Lugano is a very scenic place for a day trip. It is located near the border of Italy and Switzerland. Hence, the architecture there are so Italian and even the locals, they speak Italian. Very special!

A beautiful lake surrounded by mammoth green mountains and delivering a perfect blue and green view with some white snow capped mountains at the back. Quaint & fabulous environment with great view and some amazing coffee and ice cream parlours and cafes. One of the highlights of our Swiss visit.

Most beautiful lake and gorgeous mountain views. Highly recommend visiting if in Lugano. There is a pier you can walk through with boats for renting, delicious gelato, or benches for enjoying the view.

An absolute architectural, botanical and historical marvel of the last 500 years. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous - fountains sculptures, and perfectly manicured floral heaven. The garden is truly remarkable with how much variety of plants there are and also the way it's been maintained. For the building itself, nothing short of extraordinary - the design and architecture is impressive. There is so much history and craftsmanship behind this place.

Inside and out Villa Carlotta was a joy to visit. We loved the art work inside the villa. Be sure o look up as many of the rooms are adorned with frescos and or reliefs. The grounds are a botanical wonder with species brought in from around the world.

Must see! Great place to visit, beatiful inside, many sculpture, paintings few rooms with furniture with very great conditions. Amaizing garden around, it takes 2-3 hours to visit and see all villa and garden. Beautyful view from balcony for Como lake.

Beautiful villa with stunning lake views and lush gardens. The inside has some impressive art and sculptures, but the real highlight is walking through the gardens, peaceful and scenic, a perfect spot to slow down and take in the beauty of Lake Como.

Lovely visit especially enjoyed the extensive gardens, agricultural history and interactive commentary in our language about basement life at the Villa. Reasonable €15 entrance (€13 for over 65s) Luggage lockers were helpful. Bistro service for 2 hot drinks was slow on the day(20/8/25) as they seemed short-staffed.

Seeing The Last Supper at the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie was truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment for me. No photo or book could ever prepare you for the feeling of standing in front of Leonardo’s masterpiece. The atmosphere is quiet and almost sacred—you can sense the history in the room. I felt completely in awe, almost like time had stopped, just taking in the details and the emotion on each Apostles faces. It was absolutely worth the wait and all the planning. If you’re dreaming of seeing it, please do yourself a favor and book well in advance—tickets sell out quickly and you can’t just walk in on the day. This experience is something I’ll carry with me forever.

Amazing masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci the last supper. We got a tour paid with the company GetYourGuide and it was very good. Not too friendly but very good explanations about the origin of the painting, history and holy stories about it. Bucket list

Visiting the Last Supper Museum in Milan requires significant advance planning, as there are no ticket sales on site. All tickets must be purchased online, and securing them is widely regarded as one of the most challenging museum bookings in Europe. Tickets are released only four times per year. For instance, tickets for the period from 1 November through 31 January become available on 30 September of that year. In addition, the museum releases a very small number of supplementary tickets every Wednesday at 12:00 PM (Milan time) for dates within the following couple of weeks. Definitely interesting if you have kids and a spare day near Milan, though underwhelming if you’ve been to other parcs in Europe/US. It’s really geared to young kids, teenagers and up would quickly get bored. The parc itself is small but spacious, and clean. The only downside is the access roads; whover design the last couple of kms of entrance to the olace must have truly hated the parc (or people in general). Expect to waste about 30’ sitting in the car from the moment you see the entrance sign at a distance till you actually cross it

The places does impress the wanderers due to its vastness and abundance of various exotic expostinions. There are many interesting acquariums including both commonly known sea critters as well as even more interesting unpopular ones. If it's not enough for you, don't worry! There are a handful of beautifully recreated biomes containing the richness of coral reefs, raw desert enviroments full with beautifull animals as well as huge pool with eager to play dolphins within.

I love visiting aquariums. My favorite places among the aquariums I've visited so far are L’Oceanogràfic Valencia, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Moskvarium. This aquarium Genoa is quite small but it's easy to visit location for tourists and jellyfish tanks were lovely. I visited there during the winter off-season and there was no line so I am not sure if it was necessary to buy the on-line entrance ticket in advance.

When you start you are on the bottom level and you go through the whole bottom level… then you go upstairs and see everything upstairs but also have a view of sharks and other animals you saw downstairs and upstairs is best for pictures of the dolphins and sharks - for me. This is a very cool historical adventure. The tour was worth the ticket price, the grounds are gorgeous, and we had the best time learning about the history of the owner and his life. Make sure you buy tickets at least the day before. And even if they say the tour is only available in Italian, they will provide information in other languages as well. We had an absolutely fabulous day at the Gardaland! You feel like in a fairytale, and all the roller coasters are very exciting! 😍 I recommend going on a (rainy) weekday, so the queues are shorter and you manage to see everything. Feel free to skip the Jumanji Adventure ride though, it’s not quite worth a 40+ minute wait.

Another amazing amusememt park for kids and older as well. Rides get pretty busy with the nice weather, like in every resort. I wish there was a better overview what each ride offers - we waited 90 minutes for Jumanji adventure, which was absolutely no advanture plus it was all in Italian. Other than that, only 4 rides required height over 140, few over 130. Make sure to check these requirements before going. Also, buying tickets outside od the official venue office is cheaper so look for those selling points in the city.

Fantastic for kiddies as there is a great balance of calmer rides with ease of motion while still holding very good production value. The adult rides too are equally fantastic. I hold the overall experience below Europa park however and wouldn't go too far out of my way to visit it.

Piazza delle Erbe is a truly beautiful square. It's lined with a row of stunning buildings, with the most magnificent of all—Palazzo Maffei—standing proudly at one end. In the center, you'll find the impressive Madonna Fountain of Verona and a bustling bazaar full of life. The edges of the square are dotted with charming-looking restaurants, shops and cafés. We didn’t eat there ourselves, though, as the square was quite crowded with fellow tourists. That said, we did find a few quieter corners along the edges, perfect for sitting back and watching people pass by—it was quite entertaining!

A beautiful square that feels big but still quite cozy. In my opinion, it’s definitely more interesting than the large one by the Arena. From here you’ve got direct access to Juliet’s house, plus plenty of nice restaurants, narrow streets, and cafés all around. The atmosphere is fantastic – you could wander here all day.

Unassuming plaza with statues and fountains surrounded by beautiful buildings from times gone past. Several street cafes offering food and drink at reasonable prices. A great place for people watching and soaking up the atmosphere re.

Despite what many believe, Juliet was not a real historical person. This house once belonged to the Cappello family — a name that inspired Shakespeare’s “Capulet.” The famous balcony was added centuries later to recreate the feeling of the legendary love story of Romeo and Juliet. Still, the place has an undeniable charm. Visitors come from all over the world to leave love notes, touch Juliet’s statue for luck, and feel the spirit of romance that Verona is famous for. A must-see, even if the story is a beautiful myth. ❤️

If you are a fan of the immortal story of two lovers, then you must visit Juliet's house. The house is constantly besieged by tourists, so think carefully about when you want to visit (preferably in the morning). I personally like the collection of artworks in the house, and the original wall paintings are also impressive. I recommend that everyone who visits the house also visit Romeo's home. It is completely overlooked, and only rarely do tourists stop at the memorial plaque on the site where his home once stood.

Still, this place has sadly lost some of its romance. The inner courtyard is flooded with crowds – noise, long lines to touch Juliet’s statue, and cameras flashing from every direction. There’s little real romance left; it feels more like a tourist ritual than a place of love. The museum is interesting to visit, with Juliet’s statue and a few authentic details, but you’ll feel the true spirit of Verona much more while wandering through its charming streets than standing amidst the crowds.

Casa di Giulietta in Verona is a romantic landmark linked to Shakespeare’s Juliet. The 13th-century house features a charming balcony said to inspire the famous scene from _Romeo and Juliet_. Visitors leave love notes on its walls, making it a symbol of timeless passion and literary enchantment. By the way it is very crowded.

Paying the ticket to see the house is much better than the experience outside. Even in low season was completely crowded to the point that the statue looked even nervous herself. There is the same statue inside the house with no crowd, and from the house you can take a picture from the balcony. Staff is kind of rude

This was a tourist trap. The balcony is way small and only 2 persons can fit. We did not visit the inside of the house because of the reviews on Google saying that it was nothing special. The yard was ok and we got to take pictures of the statue of Juliete and the wall of letters. There was a shop nearby that could costumise everything you wanted to by that was nice. The store inside the house has only overpriced magnets and pens for tourists.

Lots of neat artwork, but what you get to see for the €15 entry pales in comparison the the Ducal Palace complex including the San Giorgio castle (same entry fee) and museums. It was neat to check out, but if you only have time or funds for one, this is not the better choice considering offerings options and price. But it sure is worth stroll thru if you are here and interested. Different style of artwork than a lot we saw around there. Don't forget the grotto before you leave!

This is the palace built by the royal family of Mantua, as a palace of leisure, now a museum. It is richly decorated with frescoes, including those by Giulio Romano. My favorite room was The Hall of the Giants alhough others were also quite beautiful. There is a good audioguide in English and other languages.

Built in the 16th century by Giulio Romano for Federico II Gonzaga, it’s both elegant and eccentric. The highlight is the Sala dei Giganti, where dramatic frescoes engulf visitors in a collapsing world of myth. The palace’s playful illusions and masterful fresco work make it feel more like a theatrical experience than a museum. While it’s not massive, the artistry is unforgettable. A unique gem in Mantua that blends grandeur with creative flair.

A gorgeous piece of history that is still standing today. Seeing Palazzo Te transports you back in time, and feels as though you’re in a dream. We visited the wonderful November 2023 exhibition, and the place was in pristine condition. The infamous Sala dei Giganti e Sala dei Cavalli are not to be missed! Staff are extremely kind, and like all other museums in Italy, they offer discounts for students, elderly people and children.

Great garden. The palace is not very big but has interesting rooms to see. Most of them were too provocative for mine taste of art but all of them were made with grace and detailed. The sun and the moon was my favourite . It was very shocking for me that every place in Montova has different working hours in every day of the week. So if you are planning to visit definitely take the working hours map from the info point.

Very impressive palace with water and a garden. Our tour guide Simone was a lovely and hilarious addition to the experience. The palace's rooms offer a very diverse selection of decorations, some of the frescoes make you wonder what kind of orgies they were celebrating. We visited the Ferrari Museum in Maranello as a family, and although it’s not the first place you’d imagine bringing a baby, it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We decided to leave the stroller in the car and use our Ergobaby carrier instead, and that was the perfect choice — it gave us full freedom to move around without worrying about stairs or elevators, and our daughter was cozy, calm, and close to us the whole time. The museum itself is spotless, modern, and beautifully designed. From the very first hall, with rows of gleaming red cars under dramatic lighting, we felt immersed in the Ferrari legend. Our little one, still so small, was captivated by the reflections and the bright colors — her eyes kept darting from car to car, and several visitors stopped to smile at her reactions. Those small moments made us feel really welcome, and staff members were also warm and attentive without ever being intrusive. The exhibitions cover both Ferrari’s road cars and its Formula 1 history. On the practical side, the museum worked well with a baby. The restrooms were very clean, though not perfectly equipped for diaper changes, but we managed without trouble. The only real downside for us was the price: tickets are 27€ per adult. For a museum that takes about one to two hours to visit, it feels expensive, and I think a family ticket or a slightly lower entry fee would make the experience more accessible. That’s the only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five, because otherwise it was a truly memorable and surprisingly baby-friendly outing. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Ferrari Museum in Maranello even with a little one. Using a baby carrier made it very easy, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it gave us a special family memory in a place you wouldn’t necessarily expect to be child-friendly. For us, it was worth it — an unforgettable mix of Ferrari’s world and our own new chapter as parents.

Very modern and stylish museum for Ferrari cars. A unique collection of road, prototype and racing cars from the early years up until now. Rather small compared to Porsche and Mercedes museums in Stuttgart, but that was the only “negative” and hence 4 of 5 stars. Nevertheless, for anyone with petrol in the blood, this is a truly great visit and experience!

A good place for Ferrari or car enthusiasts. Is a bit of a trek from Modena, but they have a bus leaving from the station once daily in the morning. Use the link on the museum ticketing page to book a seat. Tickets sold on the bus but pre oiled seats will get preference. The museum itself is well laid out and has lots of cars on display. From the early models to F1 cars. Kids over 150cm can get on the stimulators for a 7 minute test ride. The stimulators are pretty good. Gift shop is expensive but has a few scale models around the 30 Euro mark. You can't buy just one, has to be bought with another item. Magnets, key chains etc are 20 euro so better off buying 2 models instead. An hourly public bus runs at 18 minutes on the hour from a nearby bus stand, takes 45 minutes to Modena. Better to take this than stay till 2:45 when the museum bus leaves. Walking to the bus stand we saw some options for a ride in a Ferrari car outside. Was a rainy day so did not explore around, but doesn't look like there is much else in the surrounding area

The Ferrari Museum in Maranello remains one of the essential stops for any automotive enthusiast — and for Ferrari fans, it’s practically sacred ground. The F1 display alone is worth the visit: an incredible lineup of race cars that showcases the evolution of Ferrari’s championship heritage in a breathtaking way. The collection of special cars is equally impressive, with the highlight for me being the ultra-rare 288 GTO Evoluzione — an unbelievable treat to see in person. However, one negative moment stood out during this visit. A woman managing the foot traffic at the entrance made us wait outside for no clear reason, and her attitude came across as unnecessarily rude. It genuinely took away from an otherwise fantastic experience for several of us. It’s a shame, because everything else inside the museum was excellent. On a brighter note, the gift shop is fantastic, packed with high-quality merchandise that any Ferrari fanatic would love. I’ve been to the museum multiple times, and despite the small hiccup, I’ll continue to return. It’s a must-visit when in Maranello — a place where Ferrari’s history, passion, and spirit truly come alive.

I changed my route on the way back to the Netherlands just to visit the Ferrari Museum. As a designer, I expected something inspiring and memorable, but that moment never came. Arriving in Maranello is actually the best part, with a great view of the factory. At the museum the experience drops immediately. The outside looks messy and the paid parking system is poorly organised. The payment machine is on the opposite side of the building, so you walk back and forth before you can even enter. Inside, the student discount is nice. Upstairs it starts promising with a few special cars, but then you are met with an overwhelming amount of text. The English explanations are entirely in italic, which becomes tiring to read. Text on the walls is printed extremely large and the information next to the cars is placed very low to the ground. It does not feel visitor friendly. The biggest disappointment is how static everything is. There is nothing interactive, no sound design, no immersive elements, no behind-the-scenes look at the design or engineering. For a brand built on emotion and innovation, the museum feels strangely flat. There are around fifteen cars and you are done in about twenty minutes. At the end you can pay twenty euros to sit in a Ferrari for a photo, which feels unnecessary. The shop looks nice at first but the prices are shocking. A cap for €65 and a basic T-shirt for €85, all made in China. For a brand known for Italian craftsmanship, this feels disappointing. I expected a world-class, inspiring museum from Ferrari. Instead it felt like a short and text heavy exhibition with very little magic. A missed opportunity.

Well, it speaks for itself, the museum of the greatest car maker in the world. A must see probably for everyone, not just car lovers. If you go on weekends don't rush to be too early there, there were far less people waiting to go in as we left. The parking lot directly at the museum is pretty small and gets occupied quickly, so use the other one, it's also free and only one street north from the museum. For exiting you need the bar code of your ticket, so if you did not buy it online, don't throw it away. One can take photos in an F8 Tributo at the end of the tour even if one did not book it, it is of course charged. You can drive in an F1 Simulator, I recommend you book your desired time slot for that one.

A wonderful collection and curation of Ferrari. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the write up behind each vehicle. Parking was available on site with overflow parking across the road. Free parking for ticket holders and you just scan your barcode to exit the overflow parking.

Iconic, Beautiful, and Worth the Hype (Visited in September 2025) I visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa in September 2025, and it was every bit as impressive as I hoped. Seeing it in person — slightly tilted yet perfectly balanced — was surreal. The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for walking around the Piazza dei Miracoli and taking photos without feeling rushed. Climbing the tower was an unforgettable experience. The marble steps are worn and slanted from centuries of use, and as you ascend, you can actually feel the lean — it’s both thrilling and slightly dizzying! The view from the top is absolutely worth it, offering panoramic views of Pisa and the surrounding Tuscan landscape. The area can be busy with tourists, but if you go early in the morning or later in the afternoon, it’s much quieter. The cathedral and baptistery nearby are also stunning and definitely worth exploring. Overall: A must-see once in your lifetime. The Leaning Tower of Pisa isn’t just a famous landmark — it’s a masterpiece of history, architecture, and human perseverance.

Before I went to visit, I thought it would be overrated, old and uninteresting, but when I got there, I was completely wowed! The tower and surrounding buildings have been maintained in such a pristine way that they look like they were built last week. For a building that is over 850 years old, it sure has aged well. The scale and lean of the tower is unbelievable and cannot be felt from pictures. This is a must visit when you are in Italy. It is truly a majestic sight.

Iconic- such an amazing view. I loved this place but so crowded. I would recommend visiting the museum next to the tower of Pisa to get an amazing view with minimal people spoiling your photos. Also there is a restaurant in this museum and you get a stunning view. Recommend climbing the tower of Pisa that was amazing make sure you are willing to climb as can be tiring. Trainers recommended for the climb.

Had a lovely time here. The tower itself has a beautiful view when you're at the top. The steps are slippery tho so be careful aspecially when walking back down. The cathedral is gorgeous also on the inside. We bought tickets that included entree to all buildings and museums and also walked the walls of pisa all the way (which was quite long). Definitely recommend visiting and also going inside.

Very unique place of the walled city of Lucca. Its almost whole round walkable on the top of the walls or street inside the walls. Plenty of trees, walkways are suitable for jogging and fitness exercises and walking of the locals. very calm green place. From the walls you can see the old city and also outside, small water channels under the wall. All around are about 11 bastions and couple of gates to the city. The wall is 4 km long and is among the best preserved Renaissance fortifications in Europe, and the second largest intact example of a fully walled Renaissance city after Nicosia on Cyprus.

A short walk...even with your roller bag...from the train station to the walls of Lucca. I always get a smile when the gate comes into view. The walled city of Lucca still holds plenty of lore with its many restaurants and merchants. This trip we stayed at the Grand Universe right in the center of Lucca so we could be immersed in the city culture and people.

We used the ramp at Porta di San Pietro to take a one-hour stroll anticlockwise along the wall. The views of the old city on one side and of the Lucca hills and Apuan Alps on the other are charming and inspiring. Due to lack of time we were not able to walk the entire length (4.4 km) of the wall, but the segment we did, was organized as a usual public park. The park would benefit of informative panels that could provide visitors with historical context and details on the surrounding area.

My favourite part of our visit to Lucca was the Mura di Lucca. An absolutely brilliant use of the city wall by having a multipurpose recreational trail on top of the wall! Paved for walking and wheeling, the many ramps give ready access for users. The bulwarks of the wall have parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Several museums and the Botanical gardens are accessed from the trail. The Mura also has several gates as well as pedestrian tunnels. Stunning views of the hills surrounding Lucca. Worth a saunter!

Amazing and beautiful scenery. You can either walk around on the walls or rent a bicycle for faster movement. The view from the walls is truly beautiful.

This is a beautiful atmospheric place that will please lovers not only of delicious food, but also of modern art. There is great cuisine and delicious cocktails. For little money you will get a delicious dinner, a great drink, wonderful acquaintances and a creative atmosphere. We were happy to come here every day during our vacation in Livorno.

Wonderful little bar with a great atmosphere and friendly service from the staff. A couple of people were playing music on the piano and guitar inside, a lovely environment to sit in the sun next to the water and enjoy a drink.

Only in for a beer, but the atmosphere left us sitting there for a few more. Cosy and artistic. A couple were entertaining on the piano, and a singer with a great voice. With the lady owner on the saxophone. Just great.

Absolutely love this place. They always treat my sister, sister in law, my niece, and myself with such respect and kindness when we come out here. Whether we come out here together or separately, it’s always the same politeness from the staff. 12/10 service and atmosphere, the food is good as well. If you’re American or traveling from outside of here, or if you even live here, I highly recommend stopping by here 🫶🏼

By far the best experience in Livorno and there were many. This bar is situated next to The Grand Hotel on the sea front. Never the same experience with musicians and artist all visiting to set the vibe with the owners many available musical instruments being loaned to all. We concluded every day of our visit here and met some wonderful people especially the owners. A true treasure of Livorno.

Beautiful big piazza in the heart of Bologna. The Basilica is also in the square which is also worth visiting. It has the longest indoor meridian in the world, dating back to the 1600's.

Great central square and public space used to great effect, every evening i was there, a stage was set with speakers talking about future possibilities, and last night an italian classic covering themes like poverty, innocence, friendship from the viewpoint of a young boy. I believe there is a free movie every evening until end of August. Over 500 seats were taken which shows people have an appetite to use pubic spaces in creative ways, well done bologna!

The nightlife in this pizza was unbelievable! We were there at 12:00 am and the live music was still going on with a good crowd and didn't seem it's going to go down anytime soon! Beautiful, big piazza with good vibes and plenty steps to sit on and chill.

Le Due Torri are impossible to miss and even harder to stop staring at. Rising at a dramatic tilt over the heart of Bologna, the Asinelli and the leaning Garisenda towers feel like something out of a medieval fantasy; tall, weathered, and slightly defiant against the modern city buzzing below. They're not just symbols of Bologna; they are Bologna, standing watch over centuries of change. Even from the ground, they carry a sense of mystery and gravity that makes you pause and look up; just like everyone else passing by.

We had seen the Two Towers on Rick Steve's show and wanted to take a look while in Bologna on our trek through Europe. The towers were easy to find. Google maps brought us right to them. The construction on the streets around the towers as well as the tower project made it difficult to get good pictures. We could see pretty well but so much chaos going on and it was very loud...we moved along promptly.

Absolutely beautiful tourist attraction, a lot of history. Unfortunately climbing up wasnt an option as it got closed when I went to visit a week ago.

A very impressive castle surrounded by the greenest water I’ve ever seen. Located just at the entrance of Ferrara medieval beautiful down town. What makes it more perfect is that it is absolutely free of charge, no entrance fee, no packed tourists. Just for you to enjoy it by yourself…

The castle it’s absolutely stunning! I am surprised that this is not known even more to general public. Everything about it is amazing! Worth stopping by for a one day.
