I highly recommend this park for a day out with the family. It's a wonderful spot for a leisurely walk, with paved paths that loop around a scenic lake. A big plus is the beautiful on-site café, which offers both indoor seating and a spacious outdoor terrace. Best of all, the terrace overlooks a children's playground, so parents can relax and enjoy a coffee while the kids play.

We have been here twice now. It's a beautiful place. It's an hour away from where we live but worth the travel. Plenty of toilets, one in cafe and one outside. Good open space and walking. Good facilities. Cafe, table and chairs and a playground for children. Only thing I'll say is to put signs up at the cafe and the on the tables to say no smoking. Unfortunately we had to move twice with our young child from our table and leave the playground due to a gentleman smoking when we were eating and the smoke was also travelling in the playground where the children were playing. Hopefully this was an isolated incident but signs may help chain smokers be more aware around others, especially children.

We used the marston vale forest centre for our wedding venue. It was the perfect setting with lovely rooms for the ceremony, brilliant views and perfect areas for photographs. Helen (manager) was excellent, she made the whole experience a perfect dream and took loads of pressure off of us by managinging the whole day from DJ’s to food, seating the guests, and sorting the little things like table decorations. We obviously had some things to do, but was prompted at the things we needed which was a massive help. Helen made the day run like clockwork and we are so grateful we chose this venue and had Helen to guide us along this journey. We looked at some lovely Manor House’s as venues, which also come with hefty prices. The forest centre was so much more competitive in pricing and at a dream of a venue. We would really recommend this this to anyone who asked about getting married, and if you have Helen and her wonderful team to steer you day you will have the bestest day like we did. Good small play area. Plenty of tables for picnicing. Well stocked Cafe. Big queues for coffee. You can pay for ice creams at reception, good job otherwise they’d melt before you get to the tills. They’ve got bike hire there, so will be good back to do that. You have to pay for the car park, but not overpriced.

This place is such a wonderful spot to explore, whether you're with kids or just enjoying some time to yourself! The café is amazing, offering a tasty variety of food and drinks that you won’t want to miss. I’m excited to keep coming back for more events with my daughter! I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Visited yesterday with our two rescue dogs, it was a hot day so we took them into the cafe and had lunch. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Everything was clean, the food was delicious and great portions. There were 4 of us, two had toasted sandwiches and 2 had jacket potatoes. Absolutely delicious meal, a lovely coffee. I definitely recommend it for a meet up. Far too hot outside for us to enjoy everything outside, but we've decided we'll visit again after the heatwave!

Fabulous playground, interesting walks, very dog family bike running friendly. Lovely cafe, on the more expensive side but lovely quality food and drinks. Very enjoyable. Parking is reasonably priced too. Will be back

it was the first time we book the Partyman World of Play for birthday party of my kid. The place is very suitable for party with many kids. Safety is well secured. The staff are also very helpful and friendly, especially Ruby, who helped a lot for organizing the activities and foods. Thank you so much. We will recommend friends to go there with kids for fun.

Children can spend a good amount of time here. Always clean, and the equipment never looks really old or tired. The staff are so friendly, attentive and always have a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I often come when Nicole, Georgie and Steph are working. Always greeted with smile and a little chat, nice to feel like a person not just a paying customer. The little extra parties that are put on at no extra cost, are wonderful. Again shout out to Georgie who runs these, the children love them, and she is so engaging with all the children. Partyman world is one of my favourite soft plays.

First time here and overall fantastic experience. I had two under 5's and the staff were great from the start in showing me round the place and then when ordering food the service was great, they were so helpful we were there for several hours the kids really enjoyed it, a fun packed day out. They also made sure other older children followed the rules which meant the younger children stayed safe, it just meant as parents we didn't have to intervene so they were vigilant but very polite. Also my little one fell and they quickly got an ice pack, nothing serious but I appreciated the prompt response and concern. Definitely will be coming back

We had our son's 4th birthday party here at the end of July and our party organiser Emily was incredible. She took care of everything for us and did so with a huge smile on her face and so much energy. All of the staff were wonderful and everyone had an amazing time! Thank you!

I will change my rating for 0 stars!! It is absolutely disgusting. Very expensive and lots of dirt ,very cold and majority of the play areas dirty and broken. A massive rip off! When I complained to staff ,the lady raised her voice and told me to complain with the office I sadly promised to my kids that this is the last day we will be coming here and I advise others to don't waist their money here as I didn't manage to learn my lesson! I had an absolutely amazing day at Woburn Safari Park with my family. The drive-through experience was incredible — we got so close to the lions, giraffes, and rhinos, it felt like a real African safari. The monkeys were hilarious (thankfully, no car damage this time!) and definitely the highlight of the trip. The walk-through areas were just as good — everything was clean, well-organized, and the animals looked really well cared for. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s a perfect place for families, with plenty of picnic areas, play zones, and food options. It’s a bit of a splurge, but 100% worth it for the experience. I’d highly recommend visiting — we’ll definitely be coming back soon! 🦁🦒🐘

Visited this safari recently and it was a fantastic experience overall. The lions were pretty relaxed, lounging around, but it was still an incredible thrill to see them up close. The real stars were definitely the monkeys – full of energy, playful, and even bold enough to jump on the car, which was hilarious to watch. We also got surprisingly close to some truly impressive animals, making the whole trip unforgettable. The kids loved it so much that we ended up coming back just two weeks later… apparently, I didn’t have much choice! But tickets in advance to save a few quid.

Visited Woburn Safari Park and had a fantastic day! The safari drive is well-organized, with great close-up views of a variety of animals in large, open enclosures. The park is clean and well-maintained, and staff are friendly and helpful. There are nice facilities like cafés, picnic areas, and play zones for kids. Feeding the animals isn’t allowed, but it’s understandable for their safety. Tickets are a bit pricey, but the overall experience is worth it — a perfect day out for families and wildlife enthusiasts.

We have been to Woburn many times over the years, and it’s always enjoyable. The weather was excellent. Most of the animals were out and about when we visited this time. The grounds looked well kept. We didn’t see many monkeys this time, and am not sure why they were “hiding” from us. We like to poke around the shop and have an ice cream. It’s was a great day. Thanks for a good experience. I would recommend it.

Great place with plenty to do apart from driving around looking at the animals. There is a free train to go on, pedalos in the shape of swans or a flamingo, places to eat and drink, gift shop and shows at certain times of the day. Well kept park and quite big. Doors and windows to be kept shut and no feeding the animals. The lion was my only concern as he was enclosed alone and pacing his enclosure but otherwise all good and the lionesses were free and together. The great bird show was the highlight of the visit for me. Plenty of parking spaces. Well worth a visit if you get a deal with a car of 5 people as we did . Would definitely to back next year as for us it was over 2hrs to get there.

We visited yesterday (Saturday 01/11/25). The weather was dry, sunny and windy. The toilet block I parked at on arrival is very convenient after a 2 hour drive by car and nice and clean. The ticket office meet and greet staff was lovely and friendly. I gave 5 out of 5 stars for the safari park which is a totally immersive experience. Exciting and worth the ticket admission on its own as we went around again after enjoying our picnic lunch in the car park. Unfortunately we visited on a day when it seems like a lot of the foot safari attractions are undergoing maintenance or the animals had been rehoused. We felt that there could have been more notices displayed explaining this as we spent a lot of time staring into empty enclosures and glass cases which had evidently been cleared of the monkeys or reptiles indicated. We were also surprised that there are additional costs to use the Go Ape and Little Ranger Rover attractions, I think of £8 and £12.99 respectively so worth budgeting for if you’re taking little ones and are perhaps buying food at the concessions on site. The guide book is very reasonably priced at £2, but the gift shop is expensive so again, would suggest you budget for this. We didn’t see many cheap souvenirs on offer as we’d loved a Woburn car windscreen sticker, but couldn’t find one. I liked a baseball cap, with the Woburn Lion head logo, but not for £12.99. All the staff I spoke to too were delightful and it was great seeing the enclosure wardens spring into action and get on the tannoy to keep everyone safe and things running smoothly. I love the tiger and zebra stripped land rovers, Woburn use. All the animals were great and very active. We saw the tiger at a distance. A big clue is to look for where the game wardens land rovers are stopped, as we found the animal was never far away. Despite the cost and some disappointment on the foot safari, I imagine this attraction gets super busy in peak season, but as an autistic person, the lack of a crowd really suited me and meant I didn’t get overly anxious or stressed. We live closer to Longleat than Woburn Safari Park, but still feel it’s worth the extra journey because although it’s not guaranteed that you’ll have a close encounter, Woburn is the better bet. Well done to all concerned as it can’t be easy managing the upkeep in this day and age will competing with all the other UK safari parks and attractions. We’ll definitely return.

We went to Woburn and had a fantastic time. We had a nice slow drive around the Safari, seeing all of the animals. Pretty much all of the animals were out and about which was great to see. The African Lions were fantastic and one walked right by our car. The kids loved it. You can bypass the safari and drive straight to the carpark and start the walking safari if you prefer. Parking was very easy and there is an overflow carpark for when it gets really busy. I did find navigating the safari walk a little tricky as there are a lot of branching paths to the various enclosures but it's probably because I'm used to other Zoos. Be prepared for a bit of hill climbing here and there as some of the enclosures are set down the hill but there are steps and slopes for buggy and wheelchair access. There are loads of eateries and cafés, we went to the one in the soft play. Food Prices were not too bad but could get very expensive very quickly. We had a great time, the Park was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and approachable. If you are visiting with family members needing the disabled toilets, then bring your radar key as I had to keep asking in the gift shop!

Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Got the deal through virgin experiences and had an amazing day. The lady Lisa was so informative and clearly had a huge love for all the birds. Going to book to go back

On the positive side -The woman that did the display was fantastic. She really knew her stuff, she answered everyone’s questions and was entertaining. - Lots of amazing beautiful birds when we walked around in cages and used in the display. - They released lot of birds at a time to music which was really good to see so many flying at the same time. On the negative side - The receptionist was rude to all 4 of us when we arrived. She was clearly annoyed she had given us 4 stickers before our 2 other friends had arrived, like we’d deceived her for some reason ! She also denied telling us to wait in the field as the display had started elsewhere. We all very negative about the place before we’d even started. - The display group was far too big. We were in a group of 28 people so when the birds were being passed around we waited for ages before we could hold the birds. Also taking part in the displays took ages to include everyone. So became very boring which was a shame because the display was good otherwise. Overall, good quality but needs to be smaller groups 1/2 the time, and better reception.

Absolutely love this place. We've been here a few times now and every time I come away with some new nugget of information I never knew about the wonderful birds they have there. All the staff clearly love what they do, and what they do is so important not just for the birds but for educating the people that visit.

I booked the 3 hour falconry experience for my dad, partner and child. They said it was absolutely brilliant and completely exceeded expectations. We were worried that 3 hours was too long and that the rain would ruin the morning, but they said it was jam packed, the group was lead by Laura who was great, there were sooo many amazing birds that each member of the group got an opportunity to hold, they watched a great display and learned a lot. The rain didn't put them off at all and everyone left very happy. On a different note, my partner said the coffee in the coffee shop was the worst he had ever tasted in his life! I did have a look and opted to go into Bedford instead to have a coffee and wait for them to finish. I guess the facilities could be better but that's not what they were there for.

The centre has a wide range of birds of prey and a good flying exhibition. Small people can also hold an owl, which is quite special. The rest of the facilities are looking rather tired - for example there were lots of nettles growing round the kids activity area. It’s not too expensive so, on balance, a good half day out for the family.

I had a 2 hour bird of prey experience and the guy in charge “Riley” was an absolute professional as well as having a sense of humour. Riley was very health and safety conscious and explained everything so we understood the birds and there behaviour whilst holding them. Riley was very knowledgeable and explained everything about each bird in a calm and controlled manner,I could easily relate and understand him completely. Each bird I held was an amazing experience from Owls all the way upto a Bald Eagle with Riley by my side watching and reassuring me every step of the way. As a member of the RSPB I could identify most of the birds but Riley’s knowledge was supreme. Riley is a massive asset to the Farm and his customer service was the best I’ve ever seen a true professional at all times. Thankyou so much for the experience of a life time 10/10 I highly recommend this bird of prey experience to anyone.i hope you remember me the big tall guy who needed a bigger glove,Thankyou again.

I had a lovely weekend at the spa. We arrived at 2pm yesterday and left at 5.30pm today, once we had our afternoon tea. The pool is lovely and big however not enough space for everyone to sit round especially when it rains like today so noone is outside. Food in the restaurant was delicious, service could have been a little quicker at points but overall the staff were friendly and polite. Coffee lounge service was slow too, needed more than 1 person to cover.

Beautiful grounds and building. Super friendly relaxed but competent staff, good rooms and really nice well equipped spa facilities. The restaurant is great. Good breakfast options and a well constructed evening menu. Fast and friendly service. The only slight downside is in the older rooms there is no Aircon. If you need a cold room over summer it's definitely worth asking for a room with AC.

Had a wonderful stay at Henlow spa. Loved the aqua classes and stretch classes. Kim was so motivating and encouraging. Great job ! Super treatments and food was superlative. Facilities were great and gardens a real treat. Lots of space to relax and lots to do if you wish. Exceeded expectations.

A delightful venue in a beautiful setting. I enjoyed 2 treatments and the staff were competent, professional and knowledgeable. I had a lovely buffet lunch of which there was a great selection. The desserts were limited, but the main course options were lovely! We didn't stay so cannot comment on the rooms as we were only day guests.

Jackie Harrup was one of the best waitresses we have met, along with every other member of staff at Champneys Henlow. But Jackie stood out to us as she was our server. She was so attentive and spent time to make us feel comfortable. We stayed in the Shepherds huts, beautiful, but if you don’t like bugs, stay away!!! Nature was beautiful though

I am black and experienced racism at this place. I requested a massage therapist who had done my head massage for a full body massage and was asked to pay about £20 extra which I immediately paid because why not? When my massage session was due, it was a different person who attended to me. A person who wasn’t as tender as the person I requested for. I didn’t mind because I was told the therapist I paid extra for wasn’t coming to work that day due to an emergency. After the massage, I came out to see the therapist I had requested going in to attend to someone else. At this point, I went to the reception to ask why they lied. They refused to say anything and I requested a refund immediately. Instead, I was asked if I wanted a foot massage to compensate for this. I was scared that if I went for the massage, the therapist might hurt me considering what I had just experienced so I didn’t accept this compensation and was consequently bullied out of getting my refund. I still suffer from anxiety thinking about how the staff made me feel. I work and pay my taxes, why should I be made to feel less like a person because of my skin?

A relaxing and luxurious weekend at Champneys Henlow. We enjoyed a gorgeous spa break, complete with two treatments as part of our experience. The staff were helpful and attentive throughout, though service at reception was occasionally slow, with the desk often unattended. The rooms could use a bit of modernising, but the picturesque surroundings more than made up for it. The food was a real highlight for us - absolutely delicious at every meal, with a wide variety of healthy options that left us spoilt for choice.

Beautiful. Great birdwatching on the main lakes with a number of hides. Some great picnic spots and a modern visitor centre with cafe, shop and lovely staff :)

The reserve has had a lot of time spent on attractions aimed at engaging interest in wildlife. The main walking route is two or three miles of flat, well drained paths which also have points of interest regarding its industrial past as a quarry and farmland.

Great location for a walk at the weekend. Friendly volunteers in the souvenir shop.

Wonderful, peaceful place to go for a walk or spend a few idle hours. Beautiful!

A hidden gem in Tring. Beautiful place.

Perfect location for a weekend getaway. I visited during a kite festival and loved it! There’s parking available and plenty of hiking trails with stunning landscapes

Parking is £3.50 or free if you’re a National Trust member. Incredible views and walks, especially for dog walking. The main hill overlooks the London Gliding Club so it’s good fun to watch the tow planes taking off. Theres a dedicated area for kit flying too. There is a large national trust cafe and shop atop the hill, prices are not too bad and the shop stocks some lots of locally produced products (jam, honey, oil, chutneys).

Fantasitic views. I went with my mother in law and kids. We were able to use the wheelchair in case she cant walk. Fantastic service, they also have mobility scooters and small bikes for children under 5. I was surprise how well prepared the kiosk was.. There is possibility to use their overcoats, raincoats, warm blouses and wellies if u forgot but for lids only under 10... absolutely great idea... I noticed there are some activities going on and there was full list of things but i lost leaflet. We used main building for loo and its large and clean. We bougt second hand books !!! another great idea. It all looks really nicely run. All great! Views amazing. Was a bit windy but we enjoyed looking at gliding planes and it wax such fun. We are going back soon...

A nice place with a good scenic view for a day out, but the public toilets and café closed very early, around 5 pm. More concerning is the lack of public toilets, especially considering the needs of families, children, and younger visitors who often stay quite late. Quite disappointing, considering the management team's awareness of the fact that toilets are essential. Even though they shut the toilet doors at 5 pm, they could have implemented a payment system to allow the toilets to be used. I notice people are going to the loo behind the trees. Overall, a good place to visit, but considering the basic amenities, I suggest avoiding it, especially if you are travelling with small children.

Great place to visit ! Has a nice cafe with great lunch and breakfast menus along with tea and coffee options . Views from this place are amazing and also the walk on the paths are great too ! Parking seems reasonable too . Arrived around 1:30 pm and it was only £3 till 8 pm . It is pretty windy near the cafe but is a great place to fly kites which you can bring your own or buy from the cafe ( but expensive though cheapest one is £14) . Overall a great place to visit. Would definitely come again on a sunny day !!

Very warm welcome from the reception staff. Lovely nice clean spa. Had a lovely Himalayan salt stone back massage with Megan. She was lovely and friendly but professional and the massage was good. The dehumidifier in the room was loud and she was unable to turn it off. This spoilt the overall experience for me as I found the noise irritating. Pool area was nice but there are not enough beds or chairs for people to be able to relax and read in the pool area and nowhere else to sit and relax. Cafe is okay, prices reasonable. Overall good value for money for a half day experience but not enough to do for a whole day.

I had a Himalayan Salt Stone massage at Bannatyne Fairfield today, it was so relaxing! Christine was really friendly and professional and made me feel completely comfortable. The massage itself was a full body, the salt stones were hot which was lovely and also exfoliating which was a bonus. After the treatment, I wanted to buy an Elemis cleanser and Christine was very knowledgeable about the products and helped me choose what was best for me and my skin. I bought the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash and I have just used it for the first time. It had a nice gentle scent and my skin feels lovely and soft (which is not a given for me!). Thank you Christine!

Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere, the staff and the building. We were greeted and told where everything was. The changing spaces were spacious and really modern. Lockers were a great size and the showers were lovely. Swimming pool was so relaxing with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Restaurant food was easy to order and not too expensive. Food tastes great and quality was amazing. Had a cheeky cocktail and that went down a treat. The spa facility was beautiful! Great architecture and a great history. The treatment was perfect, great room temperature, relaxing and I could have stayed for longer! Will be back!

Had a lovely experience at Bannatynes Spa at Fairfield. Me and my mum decided to treat ourselves for my birthday to a spa day. The spa facilities were lovely as they have been before and it was so relaxing to be able to use the sauna and steam room after our swim. I will say the best part of the day was our treatments. We both had mini back massages and facials. Christine was my masseuse and she was amazing! She made me feel so relaxed and gave me great advice on how to look after my skin. She was so lovely and sweet and I truly couldn’t have asked for someone better to give me my birthday massage!

I had the absolute pleasure of a deep tissue massage with Jamila, and it was outstanding from start to finish. She was professional, kind, and genuinely listened to what I needed. For the first time, I felt like I had a real massage—targeted, effective, and exactly what my body needed, unlike previous experiences elsewhere. Jamila’s skill and care made such a difference, and she’s the reason I’ll be coming back to Bannatyne Spa Fairfield. Thank you, Jamila, for not only easing my aches but also leaving me feeling refreshed and cared for.

Spa day. All staff very friendly. Facilities very good (full Technogym equipment). Food is good quality and reasonably priced. With vegan options :) Pool can get busy but if you’re just chilling and not using it to swim lengths it’s absolutely fine.

Lovely relaxing spa day, brilliant value for money with the 2 x 30min treatments. Mum and I had an express facial and back/neck/shoulder massage. It was lovely, we couldn't use the pool as a class was on but the sauna, steam and jacuzzi were fab! Great Gluten / Dairy free options for lunch too! We had a fab experience from start to finish x

I had a wonderful day at Whipsnade zoo today. Highlights of the day were the brown bear, elephants, rhino’s, giraffes and the birds of the world show. Didn’t see the lynx which was a shame. Didn’t see a lion only a lioness and some cubs. 1 star lost because the tigers enclosure seemed really small and the tiger looked sad pacing around the enclosure. I also felt sad for the chimpanzee who seemed like it was having fun and was very entertaining but again enclosure felt small. Park could also do with more signage to help navigate the way around as although map on the app is good would still be good to have more signage as the grounds are huge and easy to take a wrong path. I also went on the steam train which was £5 for adults but I wouldn’t go on it again. Very big ground with loads of viewpoints and lots of walking however lots of places to sit along the way and plenty of small shops providing snacks and some provide food like hotdogs at £8.50 a pop. I much prefer this zoo to London zoo, I feel like you have better sight of the animals in comparison. One other perk about this zoo is that you can drive around the grounds with an additional fee. There is also free parking with easy access to the zoo. There is also an app with a live moving map which helps you navigate around the park very good.

We had a wonderful day out with the family. It’s a large venue, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Families with young children may find a buggy useful, as there’s plenty of ground to cover. Visitors can bring their own packed lunch or enjoy the selection of cafés and restaurants available throughout the site and near the entrance.

First time visiting, absolutely loved it, an amazing day. The enclosures were lovely and spacious, all areas lovely and clean, staff we spoke to were so helpful. We had afternoon tea at view point, which was lovely and the staff really friendly. The day was just brilliant, would highly recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic time visiting whipsnade zoo .. travelled all the way from North Wales.. Easy to find and access ♿ parking was just great for my wife. So much to see and do here for the whole family.. Loved seeing how much open area the animals had to enjoy compared with other zoos.. The zoo covers quite an area.. and it can be explored many ways..foot. train..or by car... Yes if mobility is an issue like my wife it can still be easily explored.. We seen a bus going around..sign simply said..Hail bus driver to stop..jump on a train which was around £5 .. Otherwise drive the car around and stop and explore where you want.. plenty of parking on the side of the road... please drive safely!!.. There is part of the zoo where you can only explore by car or taking the train.. Feels like your on safari.. amazing time When we visited they were giving the flamingo's a health check.. you were invited to ask anything you wanted.. Fantastic interactive experience Cafés , toilets and picnic areas are ample and dotted around the park.. Gift shop as like most places near the exit... Would love to visit again in the future as one visit is simply not enough to see and enjoy everything whipsnade has to offer...

Whipsnade Zoo is in a beautiful location of Dunstable Downs, there is a free car park off site and charge for car to enter, blue badges are free, you can drive around the whole park and there is parking spots at each area of the Zoo so you can view the animals at safe distance. It’s a favourite Zoo of mine due to care of the animals and the enclosures are well maintained. If you visit now you may find parts of the Zoo is being improved and some enclosures updated and cleaned, so some of the animals are relocated, the kangaroos are free roaming the zoo and can be approached but best respect nature. The only part of the experience that requires the most improvement is the toilets most are not regularly cleaned or look clean, the restaurants and food vendors do not offer quality food, the sandwiches were not that appetising and the hotdogs were served in baguette, I didn’t understand the combo nor did my palate. Not that they need a fast food chain there but better menu of food and quality would justify the insane prices like £2 for a bag of crisps. Overall I still recommend this as a great family day out but bring your own lunches and snacks.

THE BUS IS BRILLIANT! Whipsnade is an awesome zoo but the bus service elevates the experience even further! Lots of walking and make sure you dress warmly, but if you get tired legs then the bus is perfect. Can't fault it. Such a friendly driver (Gary) and they come round every 20 mins. Thank you so much

This zoo is possibly one of my favorite ones I have been to. The animals have so much space and the possibility to just hide away if that is what they want. We were there on a cloudy temperate day that made the animals more active so we got to see a lot of them. We saw the penguin talk and the bird show, both are very much recommended, but especially the bird show was super well done and very enriching. I have been about 5 times the last ten years and every time has been a great experience.

Such a beautifully presented platter of delicious cheese and crackers which we thoroughly enjoyed with our cups of tea! Unfortunately however my partner being a 6’4 when used their loo, bumped his head as they have a low ceiling. Also, my partner had ordered another cup of tea that was served in another table which made him wait longer for his extra hot drink. As we explored in the field, we smelt a wonderful fresh fragrance of Lavender! It did not look as purple anymore as I am aware they were going to be harvested soon when we went on 07.08.25 However, the Sunflower field did not disappoint us as they were in their full bloom and most yellow. Nice day out! We love The Barn! Recommended. Be careful with your head at the loos though.

Visited Hitchin Lavender for the first time yesterday to pick our pumpkins for Halloween. We had a fantastic time. Despite the big crowds the pumpkin patch itself was full of loads of large and undamaged pumpkins, perfect for carving. The decorations were fun and well thought out. There was face painting, games and a clown present for the kids. It very aimed at families and children however me and my fiancée still had a great time as a couple. Both the cafes were busy but the staff were handling the queues quickly and politely, plus the pumpkin spiced latte and Halloween luxury hot chocolate were worth the wait as they were both delicious. I will definitely visit next summer as a result of how good it was for the Halloween season.

Hitchin Lavender is such a beautiful place to visit. The fields are stunning, filled with rows of vibrant lavender that make the perfect setting for a peaceful walk and lovely photos. We recently visited Hitchin Lavender Farm and had an absolutely amazing experience! The whole day felt like a perfect escape into nature — beautifully scenic, peaceful, and wonderfully pet-friendly. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning sea of purple stretching across the fields. The aroma of fresh lavender in the air was soothing, and the views were breathtaking — perfect for photos and for simply taking it all in. What made the visit even more special was that we brought our pet along — and they had a blast! Hitchin Lavender is genuinely welcoming to pets, and it showed. One of the biggest highlights was the pet ice cream available on-site. Our furry friend devoured it and couldn’t get enough! It’s such a thoughtful touch for animal lovers. We also tried the lavender ice cream ourselves — and wow! It was creamy, floral, and incredibly refreshing. A truly unique treat that we still talk about. Absolutely love this model village. We went here on the drive home to pop in as we went when we were kids (now 30) and we enjoyed it just as much. It also brought back alot of memories for my parents and my dad spent the most time walking around and taking photos out of all of us (big kid at heart). We even took a ride on the little train for 5 minutes. Definitely a place for all ages and a fun day out. It also has a cafe and a little exhibition room which was great.

This is such a beautiful place to visit we went with our kids and they totally loved it!! The whole tiny town is such a work of art the little details are just amazing!! Our kids were amazed and so were we! There is a little cafe where we get sandwiches and coffee etc. There is a big playarea for kids which they totally enjoy!! The best was the train ride.. so fun we had the best time here! Totally recommend it ❤️❤️❤️

The best place for little train-obsessed five year olds. We have visited the site last year and this year, our little one was constantly talking about it and we had to return. We love the place, it brings so much tranquility and soothe as it moves you in time and place of calm, order and simpler life. The scenery and each detail make you appreciate the way of life we have lost, seems so precious. Pay attention to details - like name on the shops and venues, make you giggle, the train stations and trains running everywhere (the bridge by the castle!). And the horticultural care - what a masterpiece of mini elms, pines, little rivers, cascades. There is a short train ride for families and you can have some fun with operating a boat on a pond. Plenty of koi carps, would be great if we could feed them, too! (Please sell the fish food with tickets!) We discovered new room where old type writer is, what a great fun to do some scenarios and play with props. Playground is also awesome for kids, good food selection in cafe (although I would like to see more healthier options) and plenty of seating area (you can bring your own food). It lovely beautiful model Village and I love the model steam train so much and it remind me of Thomas the tank engine series of my childhood and I love that show and I love that model Village bekonscot so much my favourite is model Steam Train 🚂.

Bekonscot Model Village is a fun and cute place. Everything is small and detailed little houses, trains, and people. It feels like a tiny world! It’s perfect for families, kids, and anyone with a love for history or craftsmanship. The garden is very pretty and the whole place is clean and well looked after. The staff are kind and helpful. You can also enjoy a snack or drink at the café. A great place to relax and enjoy a peaceful day.

Found this place as a suggestion on Instagram and Facebook, and really wanted to visit. What better time to visit this place is on a sunny day! I enjoyed my visit to this place. First off, I wanted to experience the mini train ride which was fun. The highlight was the miniature houses, landmarks and villages where you get to walk around it! I felt like I was in a different world and I loved it! My favourite part were the mini trains running around the mini village! It added to the beauty of the model village! The staff and the team there have all been amazing and accommodating! Thank you so much guys! One of the train engineers there (I believe his name was Joseph) gave us an inspiring insight about the model village and even mentioned the names of the mini trains which was fascinating. I highly recommend this place for inspiration, for family outing, and also an Instagram-worthy place! 😊❤️🫶🏼

Parking here is free in the church car park opposite the model village entrance. The model village is brilliant and has a gauge 1 size computer controlled model railway running all the time. There are lots of working animatronics and even a trail for the children to follow and search for various items. There is also a children's playground area and also a miniature train to ride on (small extra cost of £1-80 per person). It also has a remote control model boating lake area (small extra charge). There are full facilities of toilets, cafe, ice cream and picnic area. I personally a good day out here (4hrs.); went round it twice and saw things I missed first time round. If you like model villages, then I recommend you visit Bekonscot, it's a great visit.

I live in London, and visiting this city and this cathedral was one of the most beautiful experiences I had over the weekend. It was truly enjoyable. St Albans Cathedral is absolutely stunning — it feels like every wall and door has a story to tell, as if they’ve witnessed countless events over the centuries. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through the cathedral felt like stepping into history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves architecture, history, or simply beautiful places.

A magnificent architectural with loads of history and story. We visited in a weekday thus not crowded at all. You will be embraced by a deep sense of peace and afford to slow down to appreciate the view around you. Worth a visit together with the town.

The sheer scale of St Albans Cathedral, a structure of profound history and weight, provided the perfect canvas for the Poppy Fields light installation by Luxmuralis last night. It was more than an event; it was a deeply moving, sensory experience designed for quiet contemplation and remembrance. The massive, soaring architecture of the Nave, usually bathed in the soft glow of natural light or high electric lamps, was utterly transformed by darkness and vibrant digital projection.

This an absolutely stunning building dating originally from the Norman period but with additions over the centuries. The place was a pilgrimage site long before the Norman's arrived and the tomb of St Alban is still a pilgrimage site today. The cathedral possesses the longest nave of any cathedral in Britain and there are a number of medieval frescoes still visible; fascinating even if somewhat faded.

Being there you imagine that the place is nearly 1000!!!!! Years old. Some buildings were built from the Romans bricks. It is the oldest and one of the most significant church in England. This church saw everything. Besides that, town is beautiful, going there you should have enough time. It is hard to find the parking lot.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. A stunning place that showcases its long history through a mix of architectural styles. I just loved every single detail, from the floor and columns to the ceiling.

Enjoyed our visit there. They have a free guided tour of the cathedral which runs for about an hour; I strongly recommend it. The entry is free too!

We had a lovely time at the farm with our baby last Thursday. We really enjoyed feeding the animals, and the outdoor play areas were fantastic! The baby soft play could definitely use more balls in the ball pit, and the café closed quite early, with no food options available later on. Still, it’s a great spot for little ones and we’d happily go back!

We spent the day at Odds Farm for Halloween half term and it was a blast. From pumpkin picking (every paying child gets a FREE pumpkin!) to watching Wicked the Musical performances — three times might I add, because it was definitely my son’s highlight of the day! We also loved the brilliant bubble show, tractor & trailer ride, Marmalade’s Mini Rovers, and of course feeding all the adorable animals. If you’re looking for some Halloween fun this half term, I highly recommend Odds Farm - there’s so much to do and it’s perfect for little ones! We’ll definitely be back soon! (@landoandlyra) x

We are from Sweden visiting and really enjoyed this place with the kids. It had a lots to do and see. And a kids playground inside to where you can eat food for a ok price. It tasted okay to. The nois level was a big high but it is kids,;). The coolest was that we went to get the pumpkin in a wheel barrel and then cut it out as you wanted to and get it home.

Wonderful place run by genuine, passionate people. Kids always have tons of fun. Playground and soft plays are huge and in great condition, animal shows are entertaining and informative.

We was excited to visit after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately I dont believe we got value for money. It cost nearly £80 for 4 of us, We purchased some animal food but as all enclosures are double fenced my son struggled to feed the animals and we ended up throwing it for him. There isn't many animals onsite to see, we was told there was over 250 animals onsite! The cafe was busy and very messy, lots of rubbish on tables/floor and table tops dirty. Toilets were also dirty. There is a free tractor ride but we only rode around the highland cow, about 5 times in circles! My son enjoyed the indoor slides but the carpet stairs were dirty too. We Unfortunately decided to leave at that point.

The adults only night was so cute!! Free face paint, see the animals, silent disco and fire pits 🎃😽 so good for £20!! - and no screaming kids!!

It was amazing experience for family, but the customer service at the coffee shop inside in front of the softplay need to improve. Slow, incompetent and arrogant, they got the order wrong and several times despite there being few people they made us wait 20 minutes. They majority of them were young guys without experience and they don't care about the outcome, they work there sure just temporary to pay some university bill .

Used our voucher from the paper so free entry! Helpful map so had a good walk around all the gardens. Walked down and along The Thames- beautiful. Several places for a coffee, cake or lunch. Watch out for Red Kites- they target picnic areas! Second hand book shop too! Lovely day.

A fantastic day out at Cliveden! We had a wonderful family day out at National Trust's Cliveden. It was a perfect escape from London. We loved strolling through the grounds, which provided much-needed shade on a hot day. The views were stunning, and the kids were delighted with their ice creams. A quick tip for visitors: Be sure to look for the insider car park to avoid a long walk to the main house. We also wished we had known about the boat rides in advance, so be sure to check that out if you visit! Highly recommend for a family day trip. The estate is stunning, we especially appreciated the beautiful, shady walking paths that made our strolls incredibly relaxing. We found a great spot for our packed lunch, which was a nice way to save a bit of money and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The views across the grounds were truly magnificent. The kids absolutely loved their ice creams, and I enjoyed a well-deserved coffee break.

What a wonderful state in England! One of the most beautiful places I've been to of its kind. It's not far away from London, but it's easily connected to motorways. During the spring and summer, it is a great park to walk through gardens and forest, so bring your sunblock, hat and comfortable shoes. I cannot imagine it during the winter but maybe that's also a wonderful experience. If you can, book your tickets in advance and arrive early in the morning, because it is a popular spot and the park lot is limited. You can bring your trolleys (if you need). It has many accessible ways. It's dog friendly, but it's your responsibility to keep the place clean. Bring as well your banquet with food and drinks to picnic, if you cannot, don't worry! You can buy them here. Please! Please! Please! 1. Take your rubbish with you. Shame on those who leave their mess. 2. Respect the queue line entering with your car. Yes, everybody wants to enjoy the day ASAP, but good manners are really appreciated living in a community.

Well-worth the annual national trust membership price if you are a local resident. Beautiful gardens to explore and spacious picnic areas for small to large groups. There is also a coffee shop near the car park and a bigger cafe/restaurant close to the main house. There’s a good size children’s play area and there are also frequent children oriented events during the year which the our young child loves. Don’t forget to walk down to the river and have a boat trip in the summer months!

Our local National Trust, we love it here! So many different areas to visit, the woodland, the water garden, long garden, the Thames river, the house, the list goes on! Reliable food options and decent parking if you get there earlier on or later in the day... Can get busy busy weekends or school hols.

Without doubt one of the best kept places I’ve visited in England. The area is vast and full of interesting walks, greenery, water garden, fountains, rose garden and lot more to explore. The public facilities are more than adequate and the staff are extremely helpful.

Amazing place! Its been many years since I was last there and its nice that more things have been added in that time. Went during the dark arts time and was fun to see the death eather preforming at different locations around the studio. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter! The lay out is brilliant and just getting to see how it was all made is amazing.

Where do I start! Absolutely amazing experience. A must visit for all the potter heads out there. Being a core fan of the book, the movie sets was truly a visual treat. I visited during the Dark Arts theme right after Halloween. The entire tour looked like a carefully planned adventure. The atmosphere felt do lively - kudos to the employees and the guides. A kind employee even took my picture (I was on a solo trip!). I saw the butter beer had mixed reviews. But I personally devoured it. It was refreshing after a long walk. Food was alright, not a fan of the unsalted fries. Some spaces did feel a bit rushed, specially people pushing and hovering around impatiently. Could see the kids engaging a lot with the sets. The photo booths are cute, however felt like a rip-off to have a poster print for £20! Considering the high turnaround rate, they could reduce the price. The broom videos looked a bit tacky but would be a fun try out for kids. Loved the small performance by the Death Eaters who kindly let us take pictures together! Cried myself through the pricey souvenirs, but the butter beer packs were a steal! For folks who can’t find the tickets during the holidays, keep checking every single day twice. I got mine on a random day check, and snagged it right away! They were kind enough to swap me to a different slot (which I found again), without additional charges! Overall worth every penny!

We had arranged a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio for our daughter’s birthday, as she’s crazy about Harry Potter. We were greeted by Menaka at the ticket collection counter. She was incredible!! 😃 Super friendly and charismatic in every way, and a true potterhead too! Our daughter was fully engaged in conversation with Menaka who shared all the wonderful things to look out for whilst on the tour. We gained tips on how to manage our time during the tour, which took 5 hours in total, including a break at the Butterbeer Bar. Menaka also gave our girl a birthday badge and several other goodies, which truly delighted her. We were amazed by the genuine kindness shown to make our daughter feel special 💓 We had arrived over an hour earlier than our scheduled tour time, so Menaka encouraged us to enjoy lunch in the Food Hall. We loved it! All dishes were very tasty and generous in portion, so we were fully prepared for the grand tour 🤩 As a birthday girl, our daughter was given the special privilege to open the door to Hogwarts! 🎉 From then on, the tour was outstanding. Spectacular sets, fun green screen experience and entertaining death eater performances. Beware of the Dementors and Acromantulas in the forbidden forest! 😨 Overall, a superb day out made extra special by all staff members, though Menaka was our favourite!! 🌟

Went on the small group tour. We were meant to skip queues but we didn't skip the queue we just skipped the bit we were going to see. But it was still worth it to get all the amazing little facts that the guide gave us. We went when it was hogwarts in winter. The food here is super expensive! You can take tour own food but i felt like it was part of the experience so just went with it. Remember to get your free passport so you can get your stamps as you go round 👍 The tour was 4hrs with a 1hr break. We went back in so in total spent 6hrs there and definitely could have spent longer. Take your time and make sure you make the most out of the full day.

We visited on a weekend, expecting it to be busy, but boy were we surprised at exactly how busy it was going to be. After a fair bit of queuing and somewhat rude security personnel at the bag check, we finally got through! The whole complex is huge and be prepared for a lot of time walking, standing and walking some more (reminded me of Disneyland) to get anywhere. However, it is really worth it once you can get over this and that is speaking as someone who isn't a huge HP fan. The work on display is amazing and the attention to detail so very impressive. The displays are well thought out, but do make sure you can stomach the high price of food and gifts!

What a fantastic experience. Once we were airborne I took control we flew up the cost & turned back, with me only handing over the controls for the landing. The pilot was really informative & very thorough explaining all the dials to me! We landed & then swapped with the other passenger so they could have a go at flying. I sat back & enjoyed the views. What a great day. I booked this through Virgin & they said there was a height restriction. That being the case, my wife & son were booked on. When we got there they said that was no height restriction (that was a Virgin rule...) & as someone hadn't turned up I could go on the flight, too. We flew along the coast & I got to see 2 places i had been on holiday. The staff were all brilliant and honestly they were fantastic with my son. I can't fault a thing..

This was my first time in a helicopter and I absolutely loved it !! The ground staff were great and really friendly, they made you feel so welcome and relaxed. Our pilot Alex was fantastic too very chatty pointing out different landmarks, making the flight more enjoyable and interesting. Thank you for a fab experience :-)

An all round fantastic experience, all staff where spot on and the safety briefing was clear and precise. Pilot was a fountain of knowledge of the local area that we where flying over (Blackpool). Id strongly recommend if you've not been to Adventure001 to get booking.

Had an enjoyable couple of hours at Nottingham helicopters. Helpful friendly staff who gave clear information. The "terminal" was very clean and spacious, incorporating the booking desk, toilets and a reasonable cafe. The flight started with a guide to the controls and procedures before climbing aboard and getting going. The instructor gave clear easy to follow directions with an exact demonstration before you copied it. After the three of us had a go we were taken on a short flight loop before landing. Once we were out it was time for some photos which the pilot was happy to be in with you which was great. All in, a great experience. You also realise that flying a helicopter isn't quite as easy as you'd imagine.

I received the gift of a 12-Mile Helicopter Flight Experience via WonderDays and redeemed it through Adventure001 Helicopters in the Gloucestershire area. Firstly, the booking process was extremely drawn out. For the first year, there were virtually no available dates in Gloucestershire. While other areas may have had more availability, the Gloucester location offered very limited options. As a result, I had to extend the voucher for an additional year at a cost of £30. Only after submitting a written complaint did some dates finally become available, and I was able to make a booking. The actual booking process, once dates were accessible, was smooth and straightforward. However, adding an additional passenger proved impossible. I sent two emails 48 hours in advance and received no response. The phone number provided was invalid. Unfortunately, we were unable to add the extra passenger- despite there being space available on the day - even though the website had marked the flight as “full.” This was disappointing. The instructions provided for the location were inaccurate, stating that the experience would take place at the “main terminal” of Gloucestershire Airport. This was misleading. Thankfully, a kind receptionist at the terminal provided us with directions. For future reference: if you’re attending a helicopter experience in Gloucestershire with Adventure001, once you arrive at the main terminal, continue driving until you reach a Y-shaped split in the road near a building called “Gama Aviation.” Take the right-hand fork and follow the road towards the “Heliflight” sign. That is where the experience takes place. There is plenty of parking directly beside the building. Once we arrived at the correct location, the experience itself was excellent. The Heliflight team was well-organized, welcoming, and professional. Safety instructions and guidance were clear. A front-seat upgrade was available for £30 on the day, and professional photographs were offered at £10 each, which added a nice touch to the experience. Overall, the flight itself was smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. My only criticism is directed at the booking process through Adventure001, which could benefit from better communication and more responsive customer service. Many thanks to the Heliflight team and our wonderful pilot Capt. S. Smith for making the experience so enjoyable.

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! Might feel expensive for a walk but a worthy day out for family / friends and a great adventure location with food, facilities, and beautiful nature! Head here for a great day out when the sun is up!

You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

We had such a lovely day at Willows Activity Farm. The kids absolutely loved it — from feeding the animals to bouncing on the giant pillows and running around the Peter Rabbit play areas. There’s just so much for them to do, both indoors and outdoors, that we ended up staying most of the day without even realizing how fast it went by. Everything felt clean, safe, and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine (a bit pricey, as expected at these places), but it didn’t really matter because the kids were having the best time. It’s clear that the place was designed with families in mind — it’s easy to get around with a stroller, there are plenty of toilets and shaded spots, and you never feel rushed. Perfect for young kids who love to explore and play. We’ll definitely be coming back — it’s one of those rare spots where the whole family leaves happy and tired in the best way.

Absolutely amazing place to bring the kids. I think this is about our 7th year of coming here and each time gets better with something new being added. Loads of seating, loads of toilets, loads of lovely treats, loads of great activities for the kids and lovely clean animals. I’ll be sad when the kids don’t want to come anymore. We visited Willows Farm on a Sunday for the Pumpkin Festival, and it was a lovely family day out! The pumpkin patch was beautiful with lots of photo spots, and there was even a pumpkin carving area. Our daughter loved the pumpkin hunt around the farm and was thrilled with her little prize at the end. There’s so much for kids to do — bouncy castle, Peter Rabbit shows, tractor rides, feeding the animals, playgrounds, mini golf, and rides. You can easily spend the whole day there. The only downside for us was the food. We tried one of the food trucks near the pumpkin patch, but it was disappointing and overpriced. The buns were cold, and the burgers tasted like they’d been pre-cooked. We also skipped the hot chocolate after someone in front of us returned theirs. We then went to the indoor canteen, but it was very busy with long queues and packed seating, so we couldn’t get a meal there either. It was a cold day, so a nice warm lunch would’ve made the day even better. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and loved all the activities, but the food options really let it down. We’d happily come again for the fun, but next time we’ll definitely bring our own food!

UNWELCOMING PLACE IF THERE WAS 0 stars I would give. Discriminatary behaviour was demonstrated towards us by staff. Unwelcoming. No understanding towards children. My son who was over 90cm was denied access to areas that he was actually eligible for. Do not waste your money here. Also on weekdays majority areas are shut with one staff working and the shows do not run. I forgot to take photos on the day due to stress caused but attached photos of some closed attractions including “adventure playground” “carasouls” and “playground slides”

Grandparent’s paradise - a full day of entertainment for under 9’s. Great attraction good parking, well organised with really nice staff. If it’s dry there’s lots to do. Not so great in the wet. Indoor play area and soft play is a bit tired but the kids still love it. Toilets everywhere and good quality play equipment/bouncy castles. What’s not to like?

If you are interested in aircraft, a visit to this museum is a must. Great exhibits, well displayed, friendly and helpful volunteers on hand to give you information. Three complete Mosquitoes on display, including the prototype. Plus many other types of aircraft, some of which you can enter. This is where the Mosquito was designed, and the prototype aircraft was built. A great museum!

Absolutely superb day out for myself and a few chums, as it’s centrally located to meet up. Wonderfully atmosphere here, with such knowledgeable staff, who have enthusiasm which is infectious. There’s so much here, I’ve visited a few times, and seen more on each visit. Excellent little cafe too, for a halftime snack. We were given a guided tour, which was excellent value, very comprehensive and enjoyable.

A fabulous museum and so well worth a visit. The friendliest, approachable and knowledgeable volunteers make all the difference. Quite different to the vast RAF museum down the road. The exhibits are cared for and the restoration work carried out is brilliant. The aircraft on display are superb, particularly the three Mosquitos. It’s also a pleasure to just wander around outside walking through planes like the Comet, the Dove and the 146 and after all of this to sit and joy the delights on offer in the cafe. A highly recommended visit for all aircraft/history/and all things aircraft related.

A real jewel of a museum located on the outskirts of London. It’s full of history, with fascinating navigation and communication gadgets. They have the original Mosquito prototype, wooden fuel tanks, communications and navigation artifacts, a fuselage from the famous Comet—and even the piece that failed. I learned so much during this visit (and I thought I knew it all!). The staff at the museum are extremely friendly and eager to guide you and share countless stories about De Havilland aircraft. Many are former workers from the factory. I highly recommend it for any aviation enthusiast.

Fantastic museum with many amazing exhibits, aeroplanes, interactive activities and even a working Merlin engine! Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots for all ages to enjoy, plenty of aircraft to sit in and explore and a great gift shop and cafe. Visited with X4 boys ranging 9 to 18 and they all loved it. "Treasure hunt" style quiz available for kids and a great second hand book selection. Would recommend!

Camden Market is one of the most vibrant and lively places to visit in London! You’ll find an incredible variety of shops selling everything from souvenirs to clothing, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable if you know how to bargain. I found keychains and magnets at a great deal — around 12 for £10 — which is much cheaper than most other tourist spots. If you’re into fashion, this place won’t disappoint. There are stalls offering trendy jackets, accessories, and unique handmade items that you probably won’t find anywhere else. The highlight, though, has to be the Camden Lock Food Market. It’s absolutely fabulous! You can try mouthwatering street food from around the world — everything from Asian, Mexican, and Italian to vegan delicacies — all at reasonable prices. The vibrant ambience, the smell of freshly cooked food, and the buzzing crowd make the whole experience unforgettable. And dont forget the boat life where you will see boat to go from ground floor to first floor which is quite a unique experience. One of the most picturesque spots here is the area with colourful umbrellas hanging overhead — perfect for photos! The entire market has an artsy, bohemian vibe that makes it a wonderful place to spend a relaxed day wandering around, shopping, eating, and just soaking in the energy. Whether you’re with friends, family, or your partner, Camden Market is definitely one of the best places to spend your day and experience the real charm of London

We did a food tour here via secret food tours over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend! So many things to see in Camden market and so many delicious restaurants! This would be a great place to get souvenirs to bring back for friends and family as well. Come hungry so you can try a bunch of different food vendors!

I went to Camden Market with my family. There’s an incredible variety of food from all over the world. We each grabbed something different, and everything was delicious. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours just trying different foods. One thing to note: it does get very crowded, especially during peak hours. But honestly, that just adds to the energy of the place. It’s buzzing with people from everywhere, and there’s always something happening around you. We also stopped by the vintage store next to the market, which had a great selection of retro clothes and unique pieces. It was a nice change of pace from the usual high street shopping. If you’re in London and looking for a fun, energetic place with great food and cool shops, Camden Market is a must-visit — just be ready for the crowds!

A vibrant market, lots of shops that sell leather bags, wallets, blouses, hats, vintage clothing, paintings, spices, etc, lots of food choices, wraps, hamburgers, fries, soups, sandwiches, salads, stirfrys etc for lunch and dinner and treats like ice cream, fancy coffees, I enjoyed the environment with old brick buildings, nice planter displays, the many umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, vintage farm style decor and art to explore. Lots of people here so if you don’t like crowds this isn’t the place for you. If you want to use the washroom it will cost you money usually around one pound.

if this was Reddit I’d get downvoted so fast— in our opinion this was a THINLY veiled tourist trap . everything here is super pricey (i acknowledge that the power of my currency affects my perception of pricing here) and most of them seem to be foods from other countries (they give free samples though, which was nice) even the clothes were giving street stores in Thailand for quadruple the price and jewellery was 100% drop shipped from China. the only store worth looking at was the digicam one cause at the very least the owner seemed knowledgeable. the tinier market down the road also seemed More drop shipped and the owners were rudeee on the bright side we spotted a heron prancing around the market, he was very dignified indeed

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

You can book a time slot ticket for free online before hand. This ensures you dont have to queue if it gets too busy. Truly a must visit Museum in London. There are so many different exhibitions that you can easily spend 3 hours here. Of course the main attraction is the Blue whale skeleton, called hope. It weighs 4.5tonnes and measures 25.2m long. This is a real blue whale skeleton and not a model! Can you imagine! There is a dinosaur exhibition and for your info, most of the bones on display are actual dinosaur bones! If you see its dated, then its real dinosaur bones. Other than that there are other paid exhibitions available throughout the museum.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

Well kept clean and spacious. Wheel chair acess though out and entering with no steps . Its extremely hot inside even in November. Could do with air conditioning. Lots of history with lots of animals. Great for kids all ages and adults. Toilets and disabled toilets on site with a cafe which is rather expensive so I would recommend brining yours own lunch in if you are a family. 2 coffees and a cookie was approximately £15 . Over all a great experience and very educational. If you home educate your children its worth a day trip in to London to visit the museum. Today, I took a group of elderly visitors with dementia to the London History Museum. Our group varied in mobility — some were able to walk independently, one used a walker, and two were in wheelchairs. We had a brilliant time exploring the different rooms, and the earthquake experience was truly amazing and impactful for everyone. The museum was quite busy with several school groups, which did raise some concerns. One of my members was bumped into twice by a school group, causing them to become unsteady on their feet. While the school group was apologetic, the situation was a little disappointing. The only drawbacks were that the toilets are quite spread out across the museum, and the lifts were sometimes difficult to use due to limited capacity and unclear floor labels. Despite this, we managed to navigate successfully. It was nice to see seating areas scattered around the rooms, providing opportunities for rest. Booking disability parking was straightforward and very helpful, with friendly staff assisting us both on arrival and when we left. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’d love to return with my family next time for a more flexible visit

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

As someone who’s lived in England for years, I can honestly say the V&A never gets old. What surprised me the most on my recent visit was just how incredible the ceramics collection is. If you’re even slightly into pottery, porcelain, glazes, or anything to do with craft and kiln work, you’ll be blown away. There are shelves and walls filled—and I mean filled—with pieces from all over the world, from tiny delicate bowls to massive vases taller than a child. You could easily spend half a day in the ceramics section alone. And it’s not just ceramics. The museum has an impressive range of sculptures as well—scrubbs, marble carvings, classical statues, and pieces that make you wonder how on earth someone carved something so smooth out of stone. My visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. As I entered the galleries connected to Punjab and Sikh history, I felt a deep emotional connection. The artifacts linked to Maharaja Ranjit Singh—his weapons, jewelry, and artistic treasures—were beautifully preserved and displayed with great respect. Seeing them filled me with immense pride for my heritage. The staff at the museum were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Each section was well-explained and thoughtfully organised. For anyone interested in Punjab, Sikh history, or Indian heritage, the V&A Museum is truly a treasure. I highly recommend this museum to every traveller visiting London. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place where you feel connected to your roots.

Such an Amazing Museum. Amazing exhibitions and gallery and displays to view your mind. Make sure to have 4 hours spare to take in all the displays. World class. Take well organised. Great food in the cafe at a reasonable price. Make sure to dine in the Victorian cafe.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Free to enter for their main exhibits, except for special exhibitions. But there's plenty to see and explore in the different courts, organised by theme, geographical area and time period. Wheelchair accessible Look out for the giant statue of David in the Cast Courts, as well as the rather large pillar of Trajan. Also, the collection of sculptures donated by Auguste Rodin. If you like Jewellery, head up to 2F.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

It was really cool getting off the Westminster stop on the Tube and walking straight up to see Big Ben towering above it’s such an iconic sight. We didn't get to do the tour but coming off the tube and Big Ben being right there outside the station was pretty awesome. Its even bigger in person than I thought it would be. Really good angles from the station and out on the bridge.

Visited Big Ben while in London. Did you know its official name is the Elizabeth Tower, renamed in 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee — but everyone still calls it Big Ben. I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Good view from the top from a perspective you won't see otherwise. Short video of old footage of London was good. Information boards everywhere to enlighten visitors. On the London Pass so that makes it better value.
