Should be great to have more details about “original Loket furniture” part, There is a potential, but there are also some place to improve

Perfect escape for lovers of nature and history, especially middle ages. The whole town and the surrounding areas are absolutely fairy talish. It's very near Karlovy Vary so if by the accident you are caught by showers of rain, this is the perfect escape till the clouds are clear.

A beautiful castle that’s definitely worth the visit! The experience is rich in history and stunning architecture. Entry is 145 CZK for adults and 120 CZK for children — a fair price for such a wonderful place. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

It Is a beautiful castle. You can visit around the structure and then down the prison and the torture chambers. You can climb up the tower to have a wonderful view. If you see inside, you can see a dragon! Recommended with children too.

We didn’t go inside the castle, but we walked around it—and honestly, it’s stunning from the outside alone. It sits right by the river, and the view from the nearby bridge is especially beautiful. Even if you don’t plan to tour the interior, I highly recommend at least walking to the bridge for a perfect photo spot. The castle adds to the magical charm of Loket, which already feels like a town from a fairy tale. 🏰

Went to this castle in July 2025 and much of the castle was being renovated. There are some interesting artefacts and the story of where tin originated and a wooden representation of how they would mine the tin. It is a medieval castle made of stone with multiple weapons and a significant armoury. Whilst the castle is interesting to look at from the preside I would not recommend taking tour of the inside.

Great place, worth visiting, especially with children. Price 4,5 EUR per adult, small children free of charge, it is not a problem to spend three hours or more here. Lots of amazing nature attractions. Recommended!

Three sources to get magnesium extra doses and more…Edward cafe is very chic but you can also get a bottle of Don Perignon for 25.000csk a bit further down in the next cafeteria further down in the city. Fancy little kiosks in the source drink hall, cash point, great body care natural products for a gift, historical reference source beautifully presented with a modern interior. All we missed was a proper restaurant nearby: only coffee, ice cream and maybe minor snacks don’t fit the beautiful view - where is a great lunch/dinner place nearby if it s not in one of the hotels which do not offer the view????

Beautiful place with amazing architecture and a really peaceful atmosphere. The musical fountain was closed during our visit, which was a bit disappointing, but overall I still liked it a lot. Great spot for a walk and try different spring waters.

Under renovation but still very nice to visit.

Iconic and yet very gorgeous colonnade which represents the whole Marienbad. It is very similar like Carlsbad colonnade and what is very cute, that u can feel, that it is feminine-like architecture in its form and architectural accent. It is not worse nor bad, it is simply Marienbad icon, which represents the character of this place. The only thing which is bit sad is the flooring, which should be reconstructed and changed to some marble, limestone or other much higher quality material that will last. But by the end of the day, still beautiful.

Beautiful citi with so much history. We stayed at hotel Bohemia. Our stay was fabulous. Breakfast is included and it is tasty. Did not take pictures but they even include barista on premises.

Very small Russian Orthodox church. Costs 50kr for entrance. It's just one room with a beautiful golden alter and some paintings, but you can't take pictures. The outside of the building is beautiful, but the inside was disappointing.

The park is nice for being outdated. prices are a little steep for what is offered at the park. Customer service, some of the workers there really need to understand that if they work with people they need to have a little bit of people skills, specially that dude working at the outdoor go karts. Smoking in the park should not be allowed as there are a lot of kids walking around at adult hand height and can be burned by the cigarettes, it happened to us. A no smoking park can be controlled by the owners, have a designated smoking section, just like other places do. Overall it was a good experience, updated areas could make the park more attractive, prices could be a little lower for the amount of rides.

Great place for kids aged 4-12. The rides were really perfect for our 5 and 9 year old kids. Not too boring, not too scary, but a perfect fit. Plus, there's two bumper car rides (in German: autoscooter). You don't have to pay and wait for the ride to start, but grab a car and join. I also like the atmosphere in the park. It is a little bit older, but very attractive and down-to-earth.

Children over 3 y/o even tho under 1m still have to buy tickets even though there aren't many rides where they can get on due to height restriction --> unfair pricing. Prices are too high for what is offered (very few rides, dirty bathrooms, ...) --> NOT recommended. Some employees seem not particularly friendly (this is an understatement)

A wonderful time with our Granddaughter. The entire park is made for everyone to enjoy. Rides for all ages included withing the entrance price. Wonderful walking paths or ride around the park on a park train. Enjoy the Flower Gardens and there are 2 BLACK SWANS for you to enjoy.

We were there with our 2 year old. Its very huge park with many many rides and attractions. It has something for everyone. I was surprised to see how many rides for 2 year old are allowed, some of them were even bit risky, but you will have plenty to enjoy. Its has rides, spielplatz, sandbox, indoor speilplatz, waterpark so just name it. Food from restaurant is very tasty with many options. Ticket of 28 euros is worth. Parking is free and plenty. Now on other side park is really dated. You can see the age on everything so dont expect something which is in mint condition or very well preserved. They need to prepare some shades its literally open ground and on sunny summer day its really hard to find relaxing space. Like park, its employess too need some refresher course on how to be in hospitality industry as some of them seems to be not so friendly. Food takes 30 minutes to prepare due to high demand and only 1 kitchen. Overall its park in its old age and deserves one visit. I wanted to give it 3 stars but 4 th star is for its variety and inclusivity of all age groups.

One of the best amusement parks , especially for you family with 3yr old kid. All the rides are enjoyable. We visited on Monday and enjoyed fullest. Service is friendly. People can spend 3-5 hrs. Many kid friendly rides and designed for kids. Go for it if you go near by. Update: 14May2022 3rd time in the park as we love it. But this time on a Saturday, the park is little busy. There is some waiting time for Dashing Cars, Go-cart, and water rafting ride. The Park closes at 5PM. Other rides are ok. So, don't go on weekend.

2020 - Nice, especially for kids under 12. 2022 - We was back this year and a little has changed. A lot of attractions are managed by young guys or girls: once they start the machines they keep on watching the celly phone instead of the kids, they even seem to be working. This happened a lot of times. To the owner: be careful of the security of your guests and take a look of the workers always playing with telephones.

The Palatium itself is beautiful and historically fascinating, but I was deeply disturbed to see live birds of prey tied on short ropes as part of an exhibition. This cruel and unnecessary display adds nothing to the history of the place and only leaves visitors with a very negative impression. Such treatment of animals should have no place in modern world.

We spent a short visit in this place and everything was very interesting to us. Located nearby the heart of the city and very easy to find out. When you are in Cheb, this attraction should be added into your list.

It's a nice place to visit. Lots of information and views. If you have a dog, you can only walk on the grounds but not go inside the buildings. I hated that they had a eagle and owl and I think a falcon or so sitting there all alone and bored on a tiny enclosure bound with a short leash. That's why I actually wouldn't visit again.

It is a nice castle to visit but better if you speak czech or german as it is mainly in those two languages. The view from the tower is really nice and I wish there would have been one from the mill. Price is ok for what you get to visit. And we were lucky as most of the constructions were not affecting the visit.

This location was truly a gem to visit. Not knowing all of the history in Cheb, it was nice to go in and read the signs, and see the set up to their Hrad. The castle walls have stood the test of time.

Bring your offroad shoes, you will have 20 mins hiking on some mud roads. Beautiful rocks, and nice path. Ticket is 6€, and parking is 3€ for cars. Definitely I will come here with my family, and will spend 2 hours minimum.

It's always amazing rock labyrinth for me... I always love to come and enjoy the nature.

Second time visiting here and going through the labyrinth. Many tight spaces between rocks that you have to squeeze your way though, but nothing overly difficult. Can be a bit muddy in some of the narrow areas after it rains, so might be best to avoid going if it recently rained a lot. The main trail is easily doable in under 2hrs, however there are some cool side trails leading to outlooks and structures that are worth doing. Overall a cool experience.

You need to pay to park and pay an entrance fee, but I think it’s worth it. Gorgeous hiking trails and unexpected rock crevices. The rock formations are very cool. Would recommend hiking shoes / good sneakers.

We visited with our kids (13 & 11) who loved exploring the area by themselves. There are two main routes through - one up, and one down. We were there on a quiet day, but still felt as if we were trying to find our own space and pace on the routes. I imagine when it’s busier that it may feel a little rushed. I don’t recommend doing the route if you’re not able to squeeze through small spaces or remain bent down to get through rocky tunnels. Good grippy shoes recommended. A few benches to stop and admire the surroundings and some great views from the elevated lookout spots. The car park is large and there’s a cafeteria style place at the entrance/exit for something to eat and drink. Recommended if you want to exercise the kids and give them some natural adventure time.

Amazing place. Beautiful to trees and huge stones. Liked it a lot. On some spots you have to squeeze yourselves through some narrow spots between the stones. That's something to keep in mind though. But that made it more fun for us also... Time wise, it takes about 1,5 to 2 hours to get through completely ...

Very good tour guide and a wonderful learning experience. I’m not a beginner mushroom picker and I learnt a great deal. The tour guide even moderated her German knowing that I’m not a native speaker. Highly recommend!

A lovely little leisure park in Bavaria, perfect for a calm day out in nature. The park is home to friendly animals like deer, bambis, various goats, turtles, fish, peacocks, owls, and more. It’s pet-friendly, easy to walk for all levels, and surrounded by a peaceful lake. There’s a café, a small shop, clean washrooms, and convenient car parking and free entry. You only have to pay 1€ to feed animals. A great spot to relax and enjoy nature with family, friends, or pets.

This is a nice little park if you have small children. There is a big playground and bathrooms near the snackbar.

Constructed between the late 14th and early 15th century (first recorded in 1454 as the “passage over the Vils”), it spans about 46 m across the river. What makes it magical is its two semicircular arches, which—paired with their bright reflections in the Vils—form the appearance of giant spectacles hovering on the water. It connects the former Electoral Palace (Kurfürstliches Schloss) on one bank with the old armory (“Zeughaus”) on the other. In the late 1500s, additional towers and stacked upper floors were built by court architect Hans Hauck. These were removed in 1698, giving the Stadtbrille its current elegant silhouette. Uniquely, this water gate is considered the “fifth city gate”, complementing the city’s wall gates. A third central arch—long forgotten—was rediscovered and reopened in 1996 during restoration efforts. A photogenic gem, especially at night when illuminated—perfect for that iconic “glasses” reflection shot alongside St. Martin’s Basilica.

We did the 40 minute group tour and found it interesting and informative. It is cold and wet inside so appropriate clothing and footwear is a must. Also, be prepared for a long walk. There is paid parking outside the caves and the max duration to park is 2.5 hours. There is a café at the exit. It also sells a few souvenirs.

The best place to visit near Nuremberg, amazing atmosphere, Nature at its best, chilly inside the cave with a lot of stones made of water drops over the year and one was 2000 years old. The guided tour with the German and English language and the guide was super nice. The ticket price was just 9 euros for adult, it was around 45 mins of tour inside the cave. Once in a lifetime experience for me. Deutschland Ticket works there in Schmetterling Busses. What are you waiting for?

It's wonderful! I'd recommend a guided tour and warm clothes. Not for disabled people. Lots of stairs and tight on several parts of the way. Absolutely worth it. Dogs are allowed.

We visited on a Sunday, early afternoon. It wasn't overly crowded. The tour guide also spoke in English. It was worth the trip. It was a good experience. After exiting the cave, you can enjoy a nice refreshment at the cafe, go for a hike, or visit the coaster park (up the mountain). We were very pleased.

This cave is a Nice place to visit. with Kalk Deposits for over 1000s of years this place is unique to see. Cannot use Kinderwagon, babies need to be carried. Some paths are very very narrow . Only guided tour as per slot (in German) . Parking in Automat. View after the tour was also amazing (autumn season) 9 euro ticket for adults. Will be very interesting for kids.

A fun place to spend a day. You can buy a per ride ticket. That way you can buy tickets only for the rides you are interested in. There is a restaurant and a small ice cream shop inside. Washrooms are available in the premises and there is plenty of car parking space.

Good place to visit with kids, we have spent some nice time being there and enjoyed ourselves. Rides were good and safe for everyone. Restaurant was good but due to heavy crowd the waiting times were too high.

Kids and adults both had fun here! We came here in the morning of a weekend. While the parking was quite crowded, we didn’t have to queue up for each ride. There were more people coming after lunch time though.

The site itself is lovely, the facilities are fun, the view is amazing, there is a comfortable restaurant and convenient parking. But we had an unpleasant experience. We bought 6 tickets at the ticket office - 4 for the roller coaster for all of us (a couple with two daughters) and 2 for the sleds just for my husband and daughter. After we all did the first slide, my husband and daughter went to the sled slide. The line was long but we waited patiently. When it was there turn, my husband already went in with his ticket and when my daughter tried to go up with her, it was listed as having zero balance! Even though the four used tickets were separately in my pocket. Unfortunately, they left the line and went back up. When I went up to the cashier and explained the situation, she acted like I was trying to lie to her. When I realized there was no one to talk to, I bought two more tickets. I wasn't bothered by the money but by the feeling that she didn't even think there was a possibility that there was a problem with them. When my husband and daughter went back to the line, the same thing happened to another father and son... too bad.

Fun time! Rides for all ages so bring the whole family. Best part is free admission! They charge per ride/attraction and the prices are very reasonable. Of Disney charged per ride they'd go out of business but here it's a great working model.

It's your typical amusement park. Not too big, there are a couple of nice rides, nothing too extreme so it's ok even for someone who isn't an adrenaline junkie. The waiting lines are decent even on a weekend.

Nice place, very well maintained, clean and fair price

Extremely poor hygiene. When we found 💩 poop laying around in the baby-pool, they fixed it by fishing the biggest peaces out of the water. In Denmark the pool would have been closed, emptied, cleansed and THEN reopened. The toilets were not in the locker rooms but rather inside the actual pool room, allowing for you to take a dump and then go straight back into the water, hence having everyone swimming in your rectal bacteria. In Denmark you strictly have to shower once more, using soap, before going back into the water. There were other very low-hygiene issues, but those two mentioned were the worst. So, don't go if you are not in the mood for an infection. If you don't care about hygiene, the place is ok.

I am sorry to say this, however as of now I cannot suggest this place to any of my friends. It is clearly an old place and it looks like it’s not kept up as it is supposed to be. - There is algae in all the outside filters and the inside filters do not look really clean either. - The little “cave” has residue on the walls which makes me feel icky. - The seats were made out of really cheap looking plastic and the metal frames of quiet a few of the loungers are rusty. a. s. o. .. There is no reason to make a special Tripp to this location.

From the outside the place has great appeal with modern architecture and smooth surfaces, however once inside the age of the building shows. The changing rooms are packed full with changing booths and lockers with little room to maneuver around. There is only one male and one female shower room with 5-7 shower heads. The pool area is cramped with chairs along the edges forcing you to side step past them. The concrete walls show signs of water damage and paint peeling all over. The two indoor “hot” pools were actually mildly warm with only small sections of bubbling water. The area with the children’s pool and area was very nicely layout, however most of the kids were in the main area with their parents in the warm pools. Their behavior and loudness took away from the goal of relaxing. A recommendation for the locker keys and access control to different areas, use a more modern method like a rubber wrist band embedded with a chip that is programmed at front desk. The coin chip works, however placing it in the wrist band holder with the locker key is bulky and requires constant attention to ensure it’s still tight or fastened to wrist. Overall the place is best suited to take your children and let them burn some energy off. This is NOT a place to go if you wanna relax in a hot therme.

Very interesting but the display of the cars was a bit boring, old fashioned. The artefact and the parafernalia displays were very nice. I wanted to pay with an EU debit card and at first they did not accept it. Once they realized I had no other means of payment it was okay. All by all I have learned a lot about the Maybach company.

consist of one floor and includes the history of Maybach creation and the development through the years till the destruction of the workshop in 1945. the rooms are wide with informations on all the big and luxury Maybach which once existed. motor engines and collectibles are there also to see. a collection of famous express bicycles and motorcycles is there. souvenirs, cafe and a cinema is available. dont miss it.

The museum is great. Anyone interested in old cars and aviation with Zeppelins has come to the right place. Entrance fee of 9.50 euros is just about okay. However, parts of the museum are not heated. Be sure to dress warmly in winter. A room temperature that was 3 or 4 degrees higher wouldn't have been bad. No credit cards accepted, only debit cards. December 2023

I guess it is over rated; though there was some nice vintage cars, but the museum is relatively small. I was expecting to see some new cars. There are some interesting facts though, about the bike industry and patents, and also the war tanks industry. The video related to the Hindenburg disaster and the crash of the Zeppelin in the US in 1937, was really touching!

I expected more cars. The documentary about Zeppelin was interesting.

Although it's a nice little museum with very nice expose, it would be nice, if the lights are switched ON, as it's quite difficult to read about the exhibits in a dark room (even if it's only 2pm)

It's my second time visiting this complex and I can highly recommend it. This time, I found out that the museum itself has been closed for several years already due to extensive renovations. Unfortunately this wasn't very clear online and when you get there the signage isn't very clear either - we walked right past the containerized ticket booth because when you walk towards the building from the parking lot, you can't see the signage. However, visiting the special exhibition was worth it. It's immensely important to expose yourself to our history - maybe one day we will learn?

Worth a visit. They are currently renovating and I expect that the updated museum will be excellent. No real signage for the other outdoor paths and buildings. We saw the interim exhibit and it was quite complete. €5 cash to park. Couple this site with the Nuremberg Court Rooms. (Make sure to pay the street parking fee as a whole line of cars got ticketed outside the court room.)

Worth a visit. They are currently renovating and I expect that the updated museum will be excellent. No real signage for the other outdoor paths and buildings. We saw the interim exhibit and it was quite complete. €5 cash to park. Couple this site with the Nuremberg Court Rooms. (Make sure to pay the street parking fee as a whole line of cars got ticketed outside the court room.)

It was temporarily closed when I visited. If you want to see it reopened, go in 2026.

St. Lawrence is the Cathedral Church of Nuremberg with twin bell towers. It is located in Alstadt very center surrounded with many market stalls. Church is free to enter with tall classic Gothic arches inside with very few stained glass. WWII devastations miraculously spared the twin towers which only endured minor damages

Gothic masterpiece church dominating southern part of old town was built over the period of 2 centuries from 1250 to 1477. It was burnt out at the end of WW2 and reconstructed in 1952. Artwork was preserved in underground bunkers prior to bombings, so wooden rosary with suspended in mid-air figures and stain glass are original to medieval period.

Almost a twin of the St Sebald (might be?) but with it's own architectural marvel. In a large market square with farmer market and many open square restaurants

St. Lorenz Church is one of the most important Gothic churches in southern Germany and a defining landmark of Nuremberg’s old town. Built between the mid-13th and 15th centuries, it was originally a Catholic church but became Lutheran after the Reformation in 1525. Its twin towers and richly ornamented façade dominate Lorenzer Platz. The church measures approximately 91 meters in length, 27 meters in width, and its towers rise to about 80 meters high — making it one of the largest churches in Bavaria. We didn’t have the chance to go inside, as a concert was taking place at the time of our visit. However, even through the closed doors, the sheer power of the sound resonating from within was striking — a clear reminder of the building’s scale and extraordinary acoustics.

Hugely impressive historic church! Worth a visit.

St. Lorenz is not just a church; it’s a masterpiece that speaks to the soul.

One of the iconic castles of Germany, with loads of imperial connections, and well worth braving the rather steep ascent (the views are great, too). Part of the fortifications that lure you up are actually the city wall, not the castle proper, but the overall effect is what counts. If you are spendthrift, skip the castle interior (interesting, but nor overwhelming), and definitely do not eat there (much better value can be found around the nearby Dürerhaus or in town).

Definitely worth the price of admission. Lots of walking so wear good shoes. Make sure to check out the bridge near the bus drop-off point for the best view. No photography once you are inside. The castle is fabulous. There are bathrooms and a small Cafe inside. Get there early to avoid the crowd.

Nuremberg Castle Beautiful castle with great panoramic views of the city! 🏰✨ The climb up gives you a bit of a sweat, but totally worth it once you reach the top — the scenery is amazing. Perfect spot for photos and enjoying the old-town vibe from above.

From other reviews, didn't believe there'd be a lot of items to see in the museum. Was very surprised at the amount of historical items and information provided. The views of the city were fantastic along with the historic background. Very easy walk even inside the museum and inner grounds. I highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Beautiful spot to explore — great for a scenic walk with lovely views over the city. The whole place has a strong historic atmosphere and makes for a really nice visit.

The Imperial Castle is the symbol of Nuremberg. Since the Middle Ages its silhouette has represented the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and the outstanding role of the imperial city of Nuremberg. From 1050 to 1571, all Holy Roman Emperors resided – at least temporarily – in the Imperial Castle. An archeological exploration of the grounds of the castle has revealed remains of a fortress.

This amusement park was so much fun! Children and adults both had a great time. The park is really big so even if there are a lot of people, it won’t get so crowded. We went here during the weekday and didn’t have to wait for any of the rides/activities. There are so many things to do in this park and it was not possible to try everything. We’d definitely want to come back here.

It's a blast, huge, great park for a family with kids under the age of 10 or 12. It's really kitch. It is a bit run down. It has a nostalgic charm. I thought the entrance fee was a little high, compared to similar amusement parks. The food was reasonably priced. There is a portion themed for the wild west of the USA. It was super fun to spend time in a park with a section themed for where our kids were born.

The park was pretty good, lots to do. One thing that can be done better is to, my opinion, Ban smoking in the park. As there are lots of kids there smoking should be banned as an effort for kids and nonsmokers to have a better day while in the park. Some food stands need customer service training for sure, food safety is not practiced as it was noticed. But overall the park and the rides and the entertainment was pretty Good.

This amusement park is ideal for a family with young children, my daughter is 3 years old, she was able to take part in all the attractions, except for two of which she has not yet reached the size. had. The park is well-kept and lovingly laid out, a bit old, a bit dusty, but definitely worth a visit for the whole family.

Great place for kids, I came with a 9 and a 11 year old they went in almost all the rides multiple times. The park is not so big but it has enough to spend a day of fun. Definitely recommend and will be back when possible.

Very nice semi Theme park close to Nurnberg. The kids and the eldery 😁 had an very enjoyable time. The food was not to good though, which was a shame. All and all a good day with lots of fun and good weather!

baroque-renaissance residence, place of sitting for the Markgraven. you can only visit with a guided tour, a gothic hall on the ground floor is open freely. the tour is a series of rooms and story of the owners. the place is under heavy renovation works (outside and inside), plans for end 2025 to be reopen without limitations again, but the replica is there to see especially the ceiling rococo in the fest Halle. the place was barely damaged in war so you could actually see original stuff from the 18th century.

The palace offers an engaging visit that can be completed within an hour. Visitors have the opportunity to explore several interesting rooms and gain insightful information about the site. Guided tours are available and provide a great experience; however, they are conducted exclusively in German. For non-German speakers, understanding the full context may be challenging, as the information is presented in a printout sheet, which does not entirely capture the essence of the experience. Also some of the rooms are under repairs and are not visitable. Additionally, the ground floor features a porcelain exhibition, enhancing the visit with an interesting cultural touch.

Visited the castle with the English tour because you can't visit by yourself. The guide was really nice and his English was great too. The castle is really nice though it is not furnished and some renovations were going on. But the guide made the visit much better to be honest!

Really beautiful palace and tour was very interesting. Not as opulent or large as the one in Munich but still quite nice. Parking is on the city street and you have to pay for it.

Excellent visit, not yours at the moment due to covid, but you can walk through the rooms.on your own (although not ally he rooms are open), there is only limited information in English, but staff are really friends, after visiting I went to the gardens across the road

Initially was thinking the park will reach the villa but that was not the case. It can’t even be seen from the park. The park is a beautiful one, most interesting part I’ve found to be the area in proximity of the lake. A visit is recommended.

Wunderfull place to go to relax and walk. You truly can spend hours there. Seeing some lakes, animals and different plants. A non crowded nice area to be around.

Love this place! When the lotus bloom is just magical! I took the stroller but it is best to put your baby in an ergobaby if you can, so you can really walk the trails. Love the temple on top of the hill!have a caffè top with lots of choices of cakes.loved it!

I was very positively surprised by visiting the park. It has very various paths, even kinda adventure. We were there with the whole family (adults + 4 years old kid) and all of us are very happy. Would visit again for sure.

A must visit and dogs are allowed too, every other Sunday they are even allowed to be off leash for play dates. But still recommend to keep them leashed unless your recall is good or other dog owners want contact. It’s just a decent manner to do so between dog owners :)

The Schlosspark is a stunningly beautiful garden, especially when the rhododendren are in bloom. One part of the park is inspired by the Japanese style, while the other part - which is still being extended and worked on - features a moor and has been left to nature. You can easily spend 3 hours in this park if you explore all the hidden paths and maybe have a seat on one of the many benches, to enjoy the views. It's one of my favourite places to visit! Don't forget your camera. ;)

Needs a lot of work and almost doesn't have any flowers (at least it didn't in April) not much love is given to this place as it seems abandoned and run down, even though the Schlosspark could be something really amazing if some work were REALLY put into it. The café does make good Flammkuchen, I give it that. The restaurant was closed because "of the season" which was quite disappointing. The place was a let down but hopefully it can turn into something great with a little bit of work and advertisment! Good luck 🤞

The minimalist modern building itself right smack in the center of this idyllic Franconian wine town is amazing. It's perfectly suited for exhibitions. I wdnt to see the exhibition on the Franconian tribes and really loved the varied and well illustrated presentation including informative videos, illustrations, artefacts and models. The audio commentary is exactly right, not too long but informative. Sometimes I would have wished to see illustrations to have an idea how the artefacts were used.

This is a well-financed regional museum (funded by a local "Mittelstand", family-run industrial company), with a permanent exhibition space that includes some worldwide offerings (replicas of ancient Egyptian and Persian reliefs, as well as copies of Roman, Greek and South American items) and a large section for a range of rotating exhibitions. We didn't visit the permanent section, so I'm not sure if other language descriptions are available for that, but the temporary show we did see in autumn 2021 -- an archaeological show on the Germanic Frankish tribe that settled the local area after Roman times -- was in German only. (This is not a criticism -- this town, while pretty and historic, isn't a big site for foreign tourists, so it's probably not worthwhile to devote resources to translations -- if you decide to visit, just enjoy the view of interesting art or cultural pieces). Note that they're on winter break from early November 2021 through late March 2022.

The international family-owned construction systems behemoth, Knauf, runs this museum which is located in the center of Iphofen. Apart from the permanent exhibits, which display marvels in gypsum (copies of famous ancient heritage pieces from antiquity), the museum also houses special exhibits from time to time. The current one, "Als Franken fränkisch wurde," is an archeological gem on how Franconia came to be. There are several archeological exhibits, especially from Dornheim, showing local history starting the 6th century CE. It takes around two to two and a half hours to get through the Franconia exhibit. Entrance fee EUR 5, including a handheld device that walks you through the entire museum. For those who are interested, there's also an exhibit on precious gems. After the museum, just step out and enjoy a lovely glass of local Iphofen wine at any of the wine bars or restaurants situated along the market square.

It's a nice collection of mostly copies of great antique figurines, statues and reliefs arranged carefully and combined into an very interesting and informative exhibition.

It's like visiting the world's most famous museums in one day.

medieval Monastery who received architectural changes through ages till the today baroque furnishing. the monastery itself is like a fortress of complex buildings and vast yards. to visit the church and the chapel you need a reservation for a guided tour. no information is available at the place even if the gates are open.

A lovely area. I've been twice and it's very peaceful and nice views overlooking the town.

A perfectly preserved monastery, definitely worth a visit.

medieval church from 1156 from romanesque to Gothic architecture. the building offers all. beautiful baroque side altars, tower visit, magnificent bell with a clock timing. large stairs with an open theater and amazing main altar. it is the main highlight of the town.

Besides being a historical building with the greatest architecture, the staircase outside is used by the town as a stage for plays. Away from home and wanting to serve God with fellow worshippers, it was the most amazing sermon I have attended.

Oh wow. Past amazing. Everything is so old! Be sure to go up the bell tower, just watch your times around the bells because it is loud!! The church is just amazing. Only downside is that very little is printed in English so if you're a tourist, be sure to use Google Translate

Schwäbisch Hall is a very nice City to visit, and stopping by ST Michael Church is totally worth it. There are also Restaurants and Stores in the vicinity.

What an absolutely lovely cathedral. Shows the dedication of the locals who built it over the years.

What a view! Climbing the tower is free and highly recommended. Be careful with the bells, they ring pretty loud every 15 minutes.

Beautifully restored church, with al large square in front. Many bars/restaurants in the surroundings. The city is a beautiful historic centre and has many things to see, worthwhile visiting when in the neighbourhood.

great place to spend a day off. Entrance to the gallery is free; a large number of sculpture exhibits are located on the street. Inside there is an interesting selection of art from various directions and periods, a lot of air and light. There is a cafe and toilets. There is also a second museum dedicated to technology. Again, a great place to enjoy a day off.

It's such a nice Art Gallery, the staff is super friendly and helpful, they hay all types of resources as well for you to dive into the art and actually understand a bit more. It has a small cafe too that is very nice.
