Always love to be here. The place is close to our place and we can go there with the bus also. They have strict rules over the swimsuit. So make sure to check it what you can jot used it and what you may use it. Because if you dont use the swimsuit that they are allowed, then you can not go to the water. They have 5 different pools and one water slide. Outside, there are 2 zwembad. One for children and one for adults. Indoor, they have one big pool with golfen en jacuzzi. Hot zwembad for children from 50-90cm. And big zembad for adults or someone that can swim. And also the slide. Beside the zwembad, they have playground that according the age. They have mini golf. They have trampoline. They have bmx track. Football and basketball field also. And big park that you can choose wherever to sid. They also have restaurant that you can order from their menu. Overall, this place is recommended to visit.

Very unfriendly staff..from the lady at the entrance to the lifeguards. God forbid you forget your ID and have no proof you live in Herentals..even if your spouse presented her/his ID. The lifeguards don t bother to begin with a simple "hello" or a smile..no softskills at all. Swimming pools are very nice and fun..the staff ruins the experience.

Was there with a group of around 80. The only thing is the rule for having to wear tight swimming clothes, makes no sense.

Amazing facilities for kids. Entry gives you whole day access to a leisure pool, baby pool, 25m indoor pool, 25m outdoor pool, outdoor paddling pool, pool slide as well as unlimited use of the outdoor playground, trampolines, bmx track (bikes included) and mini golf. We spent most of the day there with 6yr & 8yr old kids who rated it 100/10.

I could not enter because I did not have my passport on me :(. The park looked nice from the outside.

Pool not good for young kids, the inside kids area is tiny and boring. When you go to eat afterwards, all the restaurant staff roll their eyes when you ask for something like an extra drink, you know, their job.

It is only when you look closely at the crosses that you realise that these are not individual graves - there can be 2 or 3 soldiers buried on the front side & the same on the rear side of each cross. There are 39,000 dead here......

A large swimming pool similar to many other Center Parcs locations, built to the same original plans as Elvedon in the UK. They haven't invested quite so much in big slides or a modern children's splash park, but still have some interesting features like the "monkey splash" slide starting near the very top of the dome and finishing outside with a "toilet bowl" style element. There is also an outdoor pool where you dive down to viewing windows to see fish and sharks in tanks around the sides. The rapids are fun as usual and not too rough for younger children, if they're daring enough. There is also an activity for older children to go down them on rafts, which looked great fun. The changing rooms are plentiful and recently refurbished, with free lockers operated by your wristband, which is also your room key and ticket for the pool entry.

Facilities condition is a mixed bag: the change rooms and lockers were upgraded a few years ago, are clean and convenient. The pool itself and slides haven’t changed much since I was a child 30 years ago. The were upgrading the wild water bath recently. Hopefully that makes it more attractive again.

Clean, well maintained, barely any queuing. Kids loved all of it, alot! Lots of slides, an outdoor crazy river, indoor rapids, hot tubs, waves every 30 minutes and a pool with underwater viewing windows into an aquarium. There's plenty of seating, lockers and changing rooms and a poolside restaurant.

Had a fantastic stay here. The park is well maintained and there's loads for the kids to do. The pool area is really nice but a little dated in parts. Discovery Bay is amazing. The central dome has a tropical area with flamingos. The kids played here for hours. Staff were friendly. Really enjoyed our stay

We had a super holiday, accommodation was clean and comfortable and the park was great. Loads of activities, £30 of vouchers for you to use, amazing in door play area and a lovely setting. This place would be amazing in the summer with all the water sports they offer. Our only slight disappointment (and it really is slight) we didn't find the aqua mundo as good as the one at Erperheide.

We stayed here for 4 days. Very good especially with small kids and you don't want to leave the park. The central facility with the waterpark is excellent. The water park get very busy and loud though. Typical for centre parks with the big waterpark. The bungalows seem to have been renovated recently and are quite nice.

A really good place to stay, love the system here of wristbands, this makes all of the stay really easy and efficient, there a good activities and the rooms could be cleaner though. Beds are comfy and nice to sleep in. The aqua mundo is really fun and I recommend to anyone who goes to try out the wild river. Definitely recommend this place and would love to go again

Wonderful experience and a fascinating house. It’s worth a side trip from Amsterdam if you’re interested in 20th century architecture. It is mostly a self-guided tour with an audio player. Make sure you know how it operates before you leave the office to begin the tour. Guides there were very helpful with equipment. It’s worth reading/listening to all the extra bits at each stop. Afterwards we went to the tiny Japanese coffee cafe in back (built in the former garden shed for the house) and it was very good.

I love modernist architecture and this house was a fascinating example. While we were there, one of the guides moved all of the walls so we could see how the open plan looked. It’s a short tram ride and then a 10 minute walk from the Utrecht central station. If you love architecture and design, it’s worth the visit, even on a day trip from Amsterdam.

I was there 25 years ago and was now able to bring my kids there. Its now a self guided tour but someone was present to demonstrate the moving walls and answer questions. Any architecture fan owed it to themselves to see this masterpiece.

Amazing! It looks like a normal, modern house built yesterday but this one was designed 100 years ago! It definately deserves a WHS designation. Entry at 19 Euro is rather exagurated...

One of the greatest architectural attractions to see in Netherlands. It really impressive to see something so progressive in the pretty conservative neighborhood. You should pay attention to working hours and book tickets in advance because they have a tight schedule with groups and short working hours. Tickets can also be bought next door. People working there are kind are ready to explain everything. There is a nice coffee shop on the right and paid street parking is in front of the property. Definitely worth a visit.

If you are an architecture buff, this is a must see. It's a gorgeous 30 minute walk along safe streets and through parks from the train station. I *knew* that the appeal of the design was the movable walls. I didn't *understand* until I was standing in the space. Incredible, special, and peaceful. Staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Get your tickets ahead of time (it says so clearly on the website)-the house is too small to accommodate walk ins.

The Noordbrabants Museum is a really cool place to visit. I love how they mix traditional art with more modern and unexpected historical pieces. One of the things that stood out to me was seeing items that were part of everyday life not too long ago but are now considered history—like the first Apple computer. It’s fascinating to see how things evolve over time. The museum also has an impressive collection of paintings, including works by Van Gogh, Picasso, and other great artists. Walking through the galleries, I felt like I was experiencing both classic masterpieces and surprising bits of modern history all in one place. It’s definitely a museum worth visiting!

A beautiful Dutch museum. There is a hall telling the history of the museum, some historic work and a lot of modern works. There was also a performance in the museum when I visited it. I enjoyed the visit a lot. Thanks a lot to the very friendly people working there.

Excellent museum, and a must-go-to if one is in Den Bosch. They have special exhibits every month or so, which I don’t usually care for; but the permanent collection is incredible and alone a reason to visit. The building is beautiful; it is like an old mansion, with gorgeous rooms to hold the still more gorgeous art. One could spend hours here. There is a cafe as well, which has delicious donuts from the famous Jan de Groot cafe. Eating them here has the added bonus that one does not need to spend ages waiting in line for the Jan de Groot cafe. Please be aware that service can be slow. But who goes to an art museum who is in a hurry! I highly recommend this gem of a museum. It is well worth the admission fee.

This is one of the best museums I've been to in the Netherlands. The experience of the journey it takes you through stays with you for days after your visit! I strongly reccomend the The Verhaal van Noord Brabant section 😌

Nice museum close to the StJans cathedral. The museum is located in a nice building. The standard exhibition has works from 1500-1950. Nice collection of works of Van Gogh. We visited the special exhibition: Brueghel the family reunion - Five generations under one roof.

Beautiful cathedral! Lovely to walk around in. The staff was a bit dismissive when we asked about the grave of Hieronymus Bosch. They don’t know where he was buried but he was carried out of the church after his funeral, for which there is a stone to commemorate in one of the doorways.

This museum is full of surprises. I enjoyed the modern approach on Jheronimus Bosch's artworks and the guide book helped me understand his work better. Staff provides the needed information in a professional, helpful and friendly manner. Take all the time you need, warm clothes (because it's really cold inside) and some friends and enjoy the astronomical clock presentation, as well. 😊

I was fascinated of Bosch’s work and really enjoyed visiting this art center. They also had some funny trippy movies and huge crazy clock with “animation”

Extraordinary art experience! Before visiting the museum I didn't know much about the work of Jheronimus Bosch and I was completely blown away by what I saw. The exhibited works are reproductions, but this does not diminish the artistic experience. By entering the museum, you enter a fantastic world that inspires artists to this day. In addition to the work of Jheronimous Bosch, there are also paintings by artists inspired by his work. Also, the world in which the artist created in a very convincing way was revived in the basement of the church. Gallery it self is former Neo-Gothic church where sacred meets surreal. The high ceilings and stained-glass windows set the stage for a journey not just through art, but into Bosch's imagination.  Climb the bell tower for a panoramic view of the town Bosch once walked—unchanged in many ways since his time. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance and cost €12 per person. It is paid exclusively by cards. The ticket comes with a brochure which is very helpful to experience the exhibited works. There is also a guide in the gallery who occasionally explains about individual exhibits.

What a great museum...the location in a church gives it an extra dimension. You can take the elevator to the rooftop for a great view over the city as well...The paper guide book they give you at the entrance is very interesting too to understand better the artwork! Not to miss....

Nice large guide book provided in Dutch and English. The paintings are reproductions but overall good quality. You can take the elevator to the top of the tower for a panoramic look at the city, although there are windows preventing you from going on the balcony and they were a little bit dirty so that would affect photographs. Gift shop has a wide variety of souvenirs but the t-shirts at $50 is crazy

A great museum in the center of Eindhoven! It's exciting to watch a 130 year technology revolution in your native language! On the other hand, the museum was smaller than I expected. I see the brilliance of historical processes in a better interactive way. But I still recommend it…

A great museum to learn about history of Philips and its connection to Eindhoven region. I liked the history of lights part. For kids there is a nice workshop upstairs Recently they also have added a section on AI and its impact on society. However, what I expected that they would have wider samples from different Radio and Television and Tape recorders etc. from thier more than half a century history, but I was bit disappointed to see only a few. Nevertheless overall definitely worth a visit.

I didn’t expect a whole deal from this but was presently surprised, I had no idea the influence of this company- some really touching features. The cinema was nice to see the influence during the war. Cafe seemed reasonably priced- sadly no GF options. Also the free audio guide was a nice feature. A lot of interactive features

The museum is definitely a great surprise! Rather than a straightforward exhibition with boring facts, the Phillips museum is like a time machine, which helps you look into the lives of the past couple of generations, how their lives got changed because of electricity and Philips, and how they also shape the future.

Kids workshop is a must do! Amazing to watch them creating objects with their own hands. And than they ad on motor and battery it so it starts to move! Kids where so focused, happy and proud at the and!

Very nice museum with interesting history of Philips company. It’s not so big and can be viewed within one or one and half an hour.

Such a beautiful church right in the middle of the city. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere inside — it’s nice to step away from the busy streets for a while. The stained glass and high ceilings are stunning, and I loved discovering the little archaeological displays under the glass floor. It’s free to go in, which is great, and there’s plenty of space to sit and just take it all in. I just wish there were a few more signs or explanations in English, but still, I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Eindhoven

A compact but world-class spot for modern and contemporary art. I spent just over an hour with the “Hidden Connections” exhibition—sharp curatorial storytelling and clear English labels—then cooled off in the quiet atrium café. Friendly staff, lockers for backpacks, and plenty of seating make it an easy yes if you’re in Eindhoven.

The exhibitions were very captivating and beautiful! What's more, they sell older issues of used magazines that are in good conditions for a very good price, 1-3€. They also have an amazing selection of postcards!

Nothing spectacular. The museum itself is nicely organized and decorated, but the exhibits are underwhelming. It mainly focuses on the exploitation of Indonesians by the Dutch, showcasing how industrialists used cheap labor. Other than that, there were videos that were uninteresting and looked unprofessional. The best feature was the images accompanied by scented papers, with the smells representing the atmosphere of each picture.

Somehow I wouldn’t go in there if I hadn’t a Ticket for the DDW . But I get suprised about the Architecture inside - like a 4 Floor Labyrinth… Kinda like it - next time I will spend more time!

I love this museum the curation is on point. I was very impressed not only with their selection of art, but also their attempt to stay ecologically friendly by locally souring the art supplies. And mostly for taking responsibility about how H van Abbe got rich on the tobacco industry regarding the Netherlands dark past in regard to indentured servitude and colonialism. Very thought provoking pieces and multicultural artist as well as young artist aswell! Not to mention how inclusive the museum is to wheelchairs, and including sensory version of art pieces! Bathrooms are non-gendered and clean 🎉

This place is the best museum I have ever been so far. I strongly recommend you to visit if you’re interested. A must see place for especially architects! The artwork appeals to the 5 senses of human body and tries to create new ones. I am not even talking about the location of the building where the water beats the exterior walls. Popped up glass niches coming out of interiors literally made my day :)

Wonderful museum! I highly recommend; it has many interactions as well as statics and signs. Most signs are also in English in addition to the Dutch. We spent over two hours there and would have loved to have spent more time there!

A truly wonderful museum. There are lots of things to look at, but also to touch and try out. The staff are very helpful and explain things really well. One of the best museums to visit in Eindhoven. You get to see all kinds of Trucks (racing, heavy duty, military etc), car (vintage, racing, wagon etc) and trolley. The museum is well maintained preserving the minute details. Information is provided for each of the vehicle. Great place to visit alone or with friends. Must visit once.

A place to experience and enjoy if you are into cars and trucks. Many old models of cars and trucks are on display. They have English translation available im the description boards for international audience.

I visited this museum during my stay in Eindhoven. It houses a vast collection of historic artifacts and provides extensive information about the Dutch Automobile Federation (DAF). The truck designs are impressive, but the cars are the most captivating aspect of the museum.

We went there thinking an hour is enough. But ended up staying for 2 hours. TONS of things to watch and experience, even have a couple computer simulation driving experience/game. You can sit inside a number of cars/trucks/busses so fun to take photos. They have a nice Cafe inside with delicious soup and pie. Street paid arking is available in the near by street. Great place to stop by for kids!!

Visiting the National Military Museum was a fascinating experience. Unfortunately we were only able to spend a couple of hours there, but we do recommend to reserve a day for it. Our son (13y) was amazed. Here’s a quick overview of must-do activities: - Interactive Exhibits: Engage with hands-on displays, including military vehicles and equipment. -Outdoor Area: Explore the outdoor exhibitions featuring tanks, planes, and helicopters. Check how to book a tank/jeep drive for kids.. -Special Exhibitions: Check if there are any temporary or special exhibitions during your visit, as they often showcase unique themes or events.

It is a truly wonderful museum to visit. While it may be located a bit off the beaten path, it is certainly worth the trip. The exhibits are incredibly detailed and interactive, offering a most engaging presentation of the military history of the Netherlands. The unique stories of the soldiers themselves, the types of warfare through the ages and the interactive games make it a great experience. The dome, which features a short film every fifteen to twenty minutes, is also very nice. Regarding the static exhibits, following the designated path provides a chronological journey. From antique cannons and howitzers to tanks and rockets from the Second World War, and finally to contemporary fighter planes and tanks, the museum boasts an impressive collection. Each item is accompanied by informative text panels, and it is evident that everything is very well maintained. Although we had to travel a few hours via public transport to reach this museum, the experience was entirely worthwhile.

Another great Dutch museum. The Netherlands is one of the best for museum sceneries. Great museum, lots of aircraft, tanks and military vehicles. Amazing collection, great videos and explanations. They have activities outside. You can get a ride in a military vehicle as well. Fun for kids and adults. We loved it. Included in the Museum card. It has a restaurant, toilets and a food truck with fries.

This is such a great museum, there is a perfect mix of history and fun interactive things for the kids. We spent 6 hours here and could have stayed longer if the kids weren’t tired. Suited our 5,7 and 9 year olds with some really emotive personal stories, great tanks and planes etc to look at as well as outdoor play areas. Special thank you to the wonderful Man who we brought the tank ride tickets from- your kindness made my day! I’d highly recommend for a busy day out.

This place is a must see for military enthusiasts, kids and well, just about anyone. The military show was incredible! The buses running from the parking lot to the museum had a wait time of 2 mins on average. Everything was extremely well organized. We had an amazing day!

One of the best museums that I visited around the world. Clean, modern set up, Lots of military equipment throughout the decades and centuries. Also full of activities for kids.

My visit to the National Military Museum in the Netherlands was absolutely incredible. Seeing all the vehicles and equipment in person was a truly surreal experience, as I've only ever seen them in games and movies. The collection of technology and artifacts is stunning. ​The most powerful part of the visit was the interactive exhibit with the blown-up vehicle. It was a very moving experience to see an authentic car that had hit a mine, especially with screens showing soldiers telling their stories about losing a friend in a similar event. The combination of seeing the real wreckage and hearing their personal accounts was incredibly emotional and impactful. ​I also really enjoyed the projection dome and the exhibition on the history of the Dutch army and its colonial past. Another great part of the day was the ride on one of the military vehicles, which was so much fun. ​The museum is huge—you could easily spend an entire day there to see everything properly. It's a must-visit.

(August 2025) One of the best zoos that I have visited. All the animals looked content and happy, the housing settlements looked fun, with plenty of food and no pacing, or balding spots on the animals. Lots of fun little things for the kids, like slides, and tunnels, plus little activities throughout. The park was clean and had a lovely vibe 💜 I highly recommend this place (Cost me 30 euros to get in) and I spent 5 hours here - there were also suncream dispensers! some little rides and a boating activity as well to do, including walking over a rope bridge to see the bears which was cool. I had a very pleasant visit 💜

Beautiful park, especially the Japanese garden, Roman colosseum themed lions cage and Indian Palace themed tigers cage. We got lost all the time though, the sneak through adventure paths (some of these the only way to see all the animals) made us easily loose all sense of direction. The free map was invaluable, therefore. Delicious sandwiches and snacks in the large restaurant halfway in the park, and when something ran out they immediately made new fresh ones. A peek in the animals kitchen was very interesting too! We were exhausted from all the extra walks to find the route again but overall had a lovely day.

We had a great time in the park. Specially I have never seen myself lion, giraffe in real. And that was something special to me and of course my kids. Very spacious place. All those rats and monkeys were so funny. Just Amazing Time.

This is a very nice zoo. It is not too big and feels sort of cozy, but there is really lots to see and do. We loved the new chimpanzee quarters! The kids enjoyed the playgrounds and the Dino Forrest!

We go to DierenPark Amersfoort regularly (we live in Amsterdam but it's worth the drive) and it never disappoints. The park is beautifully laid out, with lots of green areas and enclosures that make you feel really close to the animals. What makes it extra special for us is how kid-friendly it is — there are slides, tunnels, and special walkways throughout the park that turn the visit into a real adventure for children. On top of that, there are two really big playgrounds where the kids can run, climb, and play for ages, as well as a fun carousel and even a little train that drives through the zoo. It means there’s always something exciting to do in between visiting the animals, and it keeps the whole day varied and fun. The variety of animals is fantastic and there is also a really big dinosaur section with 1:1 sized dinosaurs, which is something not every zoo offers. It’s a place my kids are always excited to come back to. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a fun and unique day out.

Underneath a canopy you can admire a large selection of the animal kingdom. The zoo offers a great mix of experiences for families, dog owners, animal lovers and even dino enthusiasts. My family loves it every time. Many animal pens have add on activities, like a climbing track at the bear pen. The experience of being surrounded by howling wolves is second to none. The playgrounds could use some love, but they are safe and fun. The food could be more nutritious. The theme integration is fun too, like a gladiator at the lions.

A very beautiful zoo in the center of The Netherlands. Enough parkingspace, on ground level as in the parking garage. It's situated on the outer ring of Amersfoort. The entree fee is medium priced, yet there are options to get a discount from stores or simply by searching in Google. The park itself is very beautiful, lots of space and really close to the animals. You can even interact with small mammels like Meercats who are walking beside the visitors. Food and drinks are also medium priced but the portions are good. You'll find the spots throughout the whole park. Smoking prohibited except a few spots. A very nice park to have a day out with your kids too. They were awarded different prices, also because childfriendly is their power and you will not be dissapointed! The small railway and waterboats are payed with Zoo-coins, you'll find the machines near the attractions (waterboat €5,-, total). Have fun!

Well preserved piece of medieval architecture serving as both a land and water port. There's a bridge right opposite to it that provides a great view of the gate. Kind of odd how they built a railway line right next to it. The Amersfoort Centraal Station itself is a bit of a walk away.

A lovely landmark. Benches around so if you get tired from walking, you could always sit down and admire the view or see people in their bicycles around.

Must-see historical gem! The Koppelpoort is absolutely worth visiting - it’s the only combined land-water gate in the Netherlands and dates back to around 1425. Time your visit for summer and you might catch the cannon demonstrations by De Stadskanonniers - quite a spectacle! Fun fact: if you were caught drunk and fighting in medieval times, your punishment was operating the water gate mechanism, literally running like a rat in a wheel. This is where the Dutch term “raddraaier” (troublemaker) comes from! Beautiful medieval architecture, perfect for photos, and great for history buffs. Definitely add this to your Amersfoort itinerary!

I passed by and sat in the park nearby. As far as I know, there are NO tours here. But it's beautiful, so who cares? Take a bunch of pictures from the bridge. Come back at different times of the day and take the same pictures. Then decide which one you love best. Mine is late twilight.

Very pretty. Too bad the Three Rings craft brewery had taken an unscheduled holiday when I visited. It would have been great to sit by the water and sip a beer.

The main gate of the medieval city of Amersfoort is an impressive sight. Sadly, the access to the fortification's interior is restricted. I'm giving only three stars because the overall experience was marred by the unpleasant smell emanating from the dirty water.

We visited park in October. Judging from how the park is now — it might have been better, it might have been better if it would close in September. Because at this point it’s mostly showroom for different garden designs; not much flowers or special things to see. So this part of the year.. it feels like you’re paying 20 euros just to see the garden ideas. It doesn’t feel like a “day out”. Good chance that it’s fun in summer. There were like 6 people in total in whole park at Tuesday. With dog it was alright, smooth. I guess for same price you could go to Kasteeltuinen Arcen, which will give you much-much more for about the same price. Because this feels more like you stepped to someone’s garden. Most restaurants were closed as well. But overall it was fun. Because of the company 🙂

Wonderful place to get good ideas to design your garden. A large variety of flowers, plants and trees to look throughout all the different designs splitted in 4 area's. The advice is to visit Appeltern gardens by end of April when the weather is better and flowers are having more blossom. During our visit the blue and purple area were pretty empty so nothing to see there, We think this should be reflected in the entry price. So best visit time is June till September.

Great place for a day out for the garden lovers. A huge place with many different areas and gardens for every taste. Also fun for kids as there is a playground and some other fun things to see and do. It also has various places to have a drink and some food. Finally there is a nice shop with garden flowers and all kind of ornaments and other gifts. Plenty of parking.

A wonderful, inspiring place, I recommend it to every fan of gardens, but also to those who like nature. You need to find time for at least 4 hours. In the area there are opportunities to have a snack or coffee and sit directly in the gardens

An amazing garden full of garden inspiration. A great playground for children that will entertain adults as well. It is worth spending a whole day here. The plant shop is great, they don't have a big selection, but I found what I was looking for :).

Very beautiful gardens. Great if you need inspiration for your garden or just like looking at plants. We had a great day. The parking was good and costs 3 euro. We were a bit disappointed by the quality of the food but that is personal preference. There are a lot of paths to follow and a recommended route would have been nice (if there is one I am sorry I missed it. ) Recommended!

Beautiful place to visit any time of the year. There is always something new to see and the gardens are set out well with estabilished plants. Super for researching garden design ideas or plant choice . Set in a beautiful landscape accentuating the beauty of the site. Highly Recommended !

If you want to see Rock Hyraxes (also known as Cape Hyrax)- definitely pay a visit to Zie-ZOO! A wonderful Zoo with plenty of animals to see🥰

It's a nice, cute zoo. They have a good number of animals and it was not very busy when we were there. However, most of the animals are in very small enclosures. I generally don't like that. The newer party offer much bigger enclosures and I understand the older part is up for renovations. Maybe the total number of animals will decrease in this process with the area available pretty animal increasing. Until then, the score is limited a bit for me.

It's a small zoo, nothing fancy, but it's ideal for children. There's plenty to see, very well taken care of, lovely playground. Not to crowded, so perfect for children that easily get overwhelmed. And because it's so small, you can take your time and relax, you will be able to see everything this zoo has to offer within your visit (a few hours, not an entire day) We had my daughters birthday party at Ziezoo and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect afternoon! The kids had so much fun, they loved everything about it! The staff is super friendly and they took such good care of everything! I definitely recommend throwing your kids birthday party at Ziezoo. It was was absolutely perfect (my daughter and her friends are ages 5-6)

Slightly smaller than a usual zoo but displayed a great range of species. Also has a small cafe with food to grab, a nice outdoor sitting area, a playground for kids and toilets. Staff was friendly, approachable and happy to switch to English when needed. Absolutely recommended.

It's ok to visit if it is just near you, but not quite worth it if you are from a far away place. The playground is nice in particular.

I rather liked it here though it's still in various stages of reconstruction for several habitats. We look forward to going back when the maintenance/rebuilding is done.

Wonderful small zoo

We had a wonderful time at Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen! It’s a truly beautiful zoo – very clean, well-maintained, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed and spacious. Of course, the highlights were the pandas and koalas, but we were also really impressed by the huge bear forest with a kind of hanging bridge that lets you walk above the enclosure – such a unique and beautiful experience! What made it extra special for us was how family-friendly the park is. There are several playgrounds throughout the zoo, and the giant indoor playground was the absolute highlight for our son. Honestly, that alone would have made the visit worth it! It was quite busy during our visit (summer holiday season), but there were plenty of parking spaces, and the great thing is that the parking is right next to the zoo – no long walk required. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was the lack of English translations. While we didn’t expect everything to be in German, it would’ve been great to have English descriptions alongside the Dutch animal information signs. Also, the zoo map was only available in Dutch, which made it a bit harder to navigate or understand the details. In most German zoos, having English maps and signs is quite common nowadays, so we missed that here. Still, it’s a fantastic zoo overall, and we highly recommend a visit – especially for families!

Went on a weekday in November, pretty quiet. Even though it is not one of those big zoos we spent a good 6 hours there and still did not get bored. The kids liked especially the big covered playground area, which I understood was the biggest in Europe for a while (maybe it still is). Nice one which I would like to visit again.

first off- I feel like the zoo is relatively small for a €30 entry fee p/p, within 2 hours we'd seen everything, and we even went out of our way to look at every single animal. the person at the ticket counter also wouldn't allow me to buy a disabled ticket even though I had a hidden disabilities card and autipas with me- and on both sites it says both of those are legible for disabled tickets in all places that offer such tickets. the animals are cute and the visibility is quite good, but some of them looked quite stressed. the polar bears were walking in small circles the whole time we were there, and the brown bears were also pacing back and forth and in circles in front of the closed gate to the other side of the enclosure. I've also seen a few other animals just pace or sit in front of closed gates leading to the other part of their enclosure- which makes me wonder why they don't just keep the gates to other enclosure parts of the same animal open at all times when they're not cleaning it out? overall I'm not sure it was worth €70 for only 2 people (including a parking ticket) when you'll maybe be busy for about 2 hours even while walking at a normal pace and visiting every single enclosure.

This is a fantastic zoo. We had a fab day. Some of the enclosures are so well thought out, especially the bears with a kid's rope bridge to walk above them. The play area is the best I've ever seen too. Amazing day out, would definitely recommend.

Went with my boyfriend and had a pretty decent time there. We got the day pass + night light ticket, and here is our experience: Staff: 5/5 Everybody was very friendly & helpful and they were everywhere so if you have a question or need help they’re always there Vibes: 4/5 They put a lot of effort in decorating the zoo so it has a nice ambiance & the enclosures were pretty decent. Toilets were clean despite how crowded it was! The light attractions were also really pretty & you can see nocturnal animals starting their day after 5 pm Animals: 2/5 Nothing I’ve never seen before except for the pandas & polar bear. The pandas were adorable, but they seem super bored & there’s a lack of interaction between the zookeepers and these pandas. They were just kind of left there like a goldfish in a bowl… Same with the elephants. We saw them literally plucking grass in their enclosure because of how bored they were. They should learn a thing or two from more interactive zoos like Bali Zoo where they allow feeding sessions (they sold carrots that we could feed to the elephants & we had breakfast with orangutans) so the more intelligent animals don’t go crazy bored in their enclosures. They need intellectual stimulation too!! The worst part that kind of ruined the day for me was the single polar bear. I don’t know the story behind why that ice-bear is in the middle of Netherlands, but the bear was clearly depressed (& probably way too hot). The polar bear enclosure looked unkept and it had a pool completely green & filled with algae, so it can’t even swim to cool off. Even if the polar bear was under rehabilitation for something, it deserves a cleaner enclosure (and a proper way to cool off, especially in the summer!) Tbh I think it’s better off to send the polar bear to a zoo somewhere with a more comfortable climate for them, like maybe Finland or Norway. Polar bears shouldn’t live out in the open in such a hot European climate when they’re used to -20 degrees Celsius or less (imagine being forced to live somewhere where it’s 20 degrees Celsius hotter than what you’re used to). I find it ironic that they claim to be an ‘Arctic Ambassador’ when their polar bear is so sadly curled up in the corner like that… Food: 3/5 Standard zoo food. They sell snackbar foods like burgers & frikandel. A bit overpriced for what they are so I suggest to bring your own food and drinks to the park (yes, they allow this) Others: They have a designated playground area for children and they tried to put a frog enclosure next to the playground. The frogs were nowhere to be seen Overall: 3/5 Pretty good zoo for children but the condition of their animals is slightly worrying

Nice zoo. Many of the animal enclosures are large, and scenic for both the animals and visitors. If you're coming with kids, there are also many playgrounds integrated throughout the park.

Not for the first time, and most likely not for the last time: a fantastic paintball game! The crew was friendly and fun as always, definitely recommended!

Such a nice place! My friends had a blast playing paintball and swimming at the water right in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately I got cramps in the first round of paintball we played, but the staff were very kind and helped me as much as they could. The food was also of really good value.

This was my first time paintballing. Great place! +Great paintball course (there were multiple courses) +Good equipment +You can upgrade for a WAY better gun! (5€) -the overalls where a bit to small for me (I'm two meters long) PS: Expect to get a little dirty, so don't wear fancy clothes.

It's still my go-to paintball location. The escaperoom is challenging but not to hard for starters. Food is a bit pricey.

Visiting on a Saturday is pretty crowded and chaotic. Expect to be charged for every little extra (extra bullets, protective clothes). 1.5 hours advertised is 40 minutes playtime. But once you're playing it's just plain fun :)

Very nice place to play paintball or the another activity!

Went to play airsoft with a couple of friends. Had a good time on the playing field, but the whole place feels unorganised. The weapons are properly maintained, but safety equipment was obviously handled rough and not in proper condition. In all, the games are great fun, but equipment made it less enjoyable.

Really nice park. My kids loved it as there was so much for them to do. There was some stuff we didn't manage to do as they were happy just playing in all the various play areas. and there are some rides we couldn't ride due to height restrictions, but we will definitely be back when they are taller to ride them all. The park was very clean and tidy. The theming was really good and the little interactive elements entertained the kids. The shows we watched were good too. I liked how compact the park was as it made it easy to walk around all day no long paths of nothing to walk down. You exited one area and entered another very quickly with something new and exciting to find around each corner.

A lovely day out, Fenix and Troy bring the standout rides. Every member of staff we dealt with were brilliant! Excellent value for money, considering the array of rides to choose from. Had lunch at the Flaming Feather and the burger was perfect.

Really nice theme park. Not very crowded, clean and well maintained. If you like rollercoasters, this is a nice park to be. There are, at least four or five. The wooden and the Fenix ones are for adrenaline people. Awesome. We liked it a lot. It is great for kids from 4 and up.

Came a few weeks ago, honestly had the best day. We were fortunate to have blue sky's and sunshine. Definitely our favourite theme park we have ever visited. The indoor area for kids is fantastic, offers hours of fun. Never seen anything like it. There's so much to do here, one day is not enough. Fingers crossed we can come back one day!! 😁

This park was really good for all ages. They had plenty of rides for little ones and also had rides for bigger kids and adults. I can't say anything about the food as we took lunch with us as we didn't want to waste time waiting for food. If you plan your day right you can see the whole park in one day.

The main rides are alright. When we were there werent many guests so I can‘t really judge the queues. Food was good, really liked the Pasta inside the hall. Friendly staff members all around, especially the guy on the climbing activity

Very nice park. Most of the attractions had a queue line under 15 minutes which obviously is ideal. Although a few rides had a very low capacity almost everything was doable. Enough spaces to rest, eat and relax next to all the thrills. And an appreciation towards the park for keeping everything clean non-stop.

Really nice zoo. Not huge, but that makes it easy to see everything without rushing. Walking between the animals is great fun, and the vibe is super relaxed. Perfect for a day out

Very nice zoo to spend a day. There are 2 places with a bigger playgrounds where kids can unwind. (Start and about half way along the route) They also have different expositions from time to time. I went to see the dinosaur and ice age onces. I preferred the dinosaur one but both are nice and a good variety to the animals running around. The animals all look very healthy and have nice enclosures. They are also in the proces of expanding with even more and better enclosures for their animals.

Wonderful family experience!! Such a variety of animals in the most natural environment for each species I have even seen!! There is opportunity to buy a day pass to be the "zoo-keeper of the day", so you go around the animals, feeding and taking care of them, while learning more about them. Unique experience!! Fully worth visiting!

The red Pandas!!!!!! OMG, I could have watched them all day. This zoo is an absolute hidden gem. Relaxed, and easily accessible with a beautiful selection of fascinating animals. Some of which I literally never knew existed, penciltail pigs! And some wonderful spider monkeys, plus oooohhh the Brazzameercat..it was awesome.

It has been designed to help visitors see all the animals and experience the entire zoo by following the route from start to finish. + You don't get lost. + You don't miss any animals or attractions. + Makes for a great experience. ✅The first zoo I have experienced with zoo guides who talk about the animals for those interested. I particularly enjoyed my encounter with the guide at the kangaroos. ✅ Several Adventure paths have been placed along the route. This keeps the whole visit much more fun for kids. + Our three kids 8,6, and 4 didn't complain about tiredness the whole time. ✅There are some animals you won't find at any other zoo. Eg: Dwarf hippopotamus, Okapi, most lions I have seen in one zoo(5),etc. ✅ Suitable for wheelchairs and prams/strollers. ✅ Washrooms for all groups including wheelchair, old, baby changing, parking place for stroller or pram. Definitely a plus. ✅ The biggest playground is at the end of the route. If you have kids they won't want to skip it so have enough time for that part too😊. ✅ Soft icecream at the shop by the trampoline is really good but it too big. A nice and well maintaned open air Zoo with a lot of different animals to see. Setup is in different zones to seperate the type of animals and habitat. Make sure to pick a dry and sunny day, it is all open air. It big enough for spend half a day. Downside; rediculous prices for food and snacks. $12 for a simple small burger and $7 for a few fries is outrageous!

This is the favourite zoo of my kid and myself! There are open spaces to walk around the animals, a lot of greenery and enough space no matter how busy it is. The animals are in great shape!

Definitely one of the most impressing museum visits in my life! Very modern exhibition concept with a lot of interactive and thrilling displays and edutainment stations! Being virtually INSIDE a D-Day landing craft was definitely an experience to remember!!! This museum ist a MUST SEE!!!

Amazing museum full of vehicles and equipment with pretty well done prepared movies to watch. Museum might seem expensive but it is worth this money. I highly recommend taking some time to check every exhibition and watch movies and experience Operation Overlord.

Great exhibits, some very interesting original items, the short interactive exhibits were very nicely done. Most everything was in Dutch or German but they offer free wifi which we used to translate.

Amazing experience and must see for any history enthusiasts. Planes, tanks and other large militaries equipment, guns, shells… you name it. I particularly liked the d day experience (included), as 4D theatre. Lovely pls e and highly recommend.

Amazing place, probably my 4th time I have been here. Incredible selection of vehicles and armored tanks, planes, motorcycles guns, cannons and much much more. Truly an incredible collection and well arranged!

Excellent museum with a great atmosphere and impressive exhibits. Everything is well presented, informative, and easy to explore. You can really feel the history while walking through — definitely worth a visit!

This is a fantastic museum with lots to see and do. I would estimate the museum has around 70-100 military vehicles, including a Horsa Glider, Landing Craft, Tiger Tank, Churchill Tank, Mini Submarine and Mitchell Aircraft. There are many, many others. There are a myriad of shells and armaments, weapons, collectible memorabilia, etc and some very interesting videos. The interactive Atlantic Wall display is incredible. The café is well stocked and prices are very reasonable. The shop is good, but is aimed at the younger visitor. I have two small requests: 1. Please include British descriptions on all of your items on display. 2. In the large interactive room showing the video including the Berlin Wall (I think it was called The Silent/quiet ???), there are some stroboscopic effects that could affect some visitors. A warning sign may be useful. Many thanks.

Great Museum. Very interesting permanent exhibition, excellent temporary ones. Very educational and entertaining at the same time. Great guides. Charming, knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit or two.

Best museum that we visited in the Arnhem and Nijmegen area. Very thought provoking detailing the world leading up to WW2, the Occupation, Market Garden and post war.

If you are at all interested in world war 2 and operation Market Garden then this museum is a most see. What was really impressive, and even slightly scary, was sitting in the replica bomb shelter listening to a bombing raid directly overhead. The museum staff were exceptionally friendly and as I arrived early on a normal working day, I had the entire museum almost for myself. For the real enthusiastic world war 2 visitor, I would recommend combining this visit to the airborne museum, another exceptional museum, just outside Arnhem

Happened to visit on Liberation Day with plenty going on. Interested particularly in Operation Veritable, finding a long lost relative on the Roll of Honour was a highlight. Particularly enjoyed hunting down the spies in an escape room type interactive area before joining the main museum. Took the jeep tour around the 82nd landing zones, then went on to visit the Reichwold Forest. Also interested in the Market Garden related exhibits, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Very informative and nice museum. You can see how much effort they put into this museum. Highly recommend this.

The Freedom Museum explains very well the causes, conflict and outcome of World War Two with a particular focus on Operation Market Garden. The events of the Paratrooper landing and battles which ensued, as well as the civilian experience of war and resistance are very well exhibited. The array of items and audio visual experiences I saw are some of the best I've seen from a war museum. For only 8 euros as a student and a WW2 reader, it was money very well spent. Special thanks to the Stagg and their expertise and passion for keeping the museum's message of liberation alive.

Went to visit my grandfather's grave. Quite moving to see of thoses soldiers. Well maintained cemetery. Met some wonderful dutch women that came to show respect to them, which was very touching to witness ( Vili ?! if I can pronounce the name right, if you ever read this, thank you for your so kind soul ! It was a pleasure to meet you and you touched my heart deeply with how your were in regards to them . Bless your heart ! rare to meet such kind women . Naïké

As with all the Commonwealth Wargraves they are gardens which are kept to the highest standard, humbling, serene and beautiful. Besides the canadian service men, there are other nationalities laid to rest, among them a Dutch soldier.

Wonderful park that gets quiet when you go deeper, and you can also walk the dog without a leash there. Usually you'll be able to spot some swans and in spring many birds are giving their hatchlings swimming lessons.

Properly one of the most beautiful city parks Western Europe. Sonsbeek is undoubtedly Netherlands and Arnhem's most famous park, just a five-minute walk from Central Station and the city center.

What a beautiful park! It's simply lovely and such a delightful place to spend time. Arnhem is such a friendly city, and this park is just a quick 10-minute stroll from the very centre. You can't help but feel happy being here!

waterfalls add to its beauty. The terraces planted with flowers of various colors are enchanting. It’s a peaceful, quiet, and clean park. We didn’t explore the whole place, but you can also have a meal at the café near the entrance.

Great park, as a kid I have been visiting this park pretty regular, now I visit it with my son. It has a nice little waterfall, you can walk through a tunnel beneath the water. It has Deers, in the weekends they have all sorts of activities.

This is a wonderful zoo, one of the best I have visited in Europe. The forest in the middle of the park is amazing and very diverse in terms of plants and animals, and there's also a waterfall. A lot of animals had newborns, which was very cute. The sea zone was very beautiful, of course limited in size as it is not the main focus of the park (if you like water animals, make sure you visit the one in Barcelona). Downsides: too many people which created crowds, and no staff around the park to help.

Such a beautiful and fun zoo! Would definitely recommend for adults and for children. As an adult that likes to go to zoo’s that are not just for kids, this is a great pick! A full day is needed to visit here and be prepared for different types of biomes, this is the most interesting ! There are restaurants located around, and I would recommend the Bush restaurant! The food is quite pricy for what it is.

Amazing!!! The first steps didn’t seem like it will be much yet quickly we realized how well thought is whole place. Really you see the animals and theirs wellbeing is the highest priority. Still all is designed in such smart way that you able to observe them in awe! True treat for families but I guess it’s also a great idea for a date or solo experience. Enjoyed tons🙌🏼 There are parts of it fully in dome that creates full experience of natural habitats- if you don’t look up it’s easily to feel like in a jungle or on some tropical place. Amazing!

I went their with my wife and daughter( 2 years old). The park has huge car parking (paid) with electric car chargers. Overall the park is huge and very well built. There are enough benches to sit and observe. The observation decks are very well positioned, and the safari restaurant has amazing views of the African safari lands. Their is great variety of food options, even for kids. The food was lekker. Overall the entire experience was just amazing.

This was a wonderful zoo experience. One the rare “cageless” habitats and it was wonderful to see the animals roam around in rather large habitats. Beautifully designed, and aesthetically pleasing. Parking costs 9 EUR and approx 29 EUR for a single ticket for adults. It can take somewhere between 3-4 hours to leisurely see all exhibits

Always nice to go here..! Is calm and peaceful… The animals are well taken care of and monkeys are my favorite! Mangrove is my favorite place to visit… It a nice funny cute and a great zoo to visit

It is an interesting Zoo which offers animal as much nature space as possible. With the map you can explore all different parts of the zoo. But with the open nature it also creates some challenges, it might be sometime difficult to trace where the animals are, which brings down the experience slightly. Quite some food choices inside the canteen and plenty of paid parking space inside as well

Take a walk from the central station to the bridge. One of the WWII battle was fought here.

Wonderful site to visit for anyone interested in World War II history or that is a fan of the movie "A Bridge Too Far." The Arnhem bridge was the bridge the Allies fell short of taking in Operation Market Garden in September 1944. The current bridge was named in honor of the British Lt. Colonel John Frost of the British 1st Airborne Division who led a small force of 740 men in a valiant attempt to take the bridge. German forces at the bridge proved much stronger than expected and American and British reinforcements were delayed by unexpected German resistance on the road to Arnhem. After four days of fighting, the British force at the bridge was overrun. The movie was not filmed here at the bridge because the buildings had changed so much in the ensuing years that the location no longer resembled its appearance in 1944. The bridge in the film is located at Deventer several miles away. A great site to visit for the history buff!

Great piece of history and well worth the visit, you get a real sense of what went on in this place, way back on the 17'th September 1944. There is a good museum that is free to enter and very informative, with a small display and good loos. Definitely worth a visit if you in to your WWII history as it is a beautiful place to visit even if it's a stroll down the river to check out the local bars. A must visit location if you have any interest whatsoever in World War Two and the British Airborne Division's attempt to shorten the war by capturing this bridge. Although the original bridge was destroyed later in the war, this second replacement bridge is near identical. I was actually surprised how high and large it is. The bridge is very busy with traffic but the pedestrian paths are fine. In my opinion, this bridge should be visited in conjunction with the free to enter "Airborne Museum at the Bridge" museum which is a few hundred metres away on the northern banks of the River Rhine. Memorials to the brave British and Commonwealth troops who fought the ferocious battle at this bridge in September 1944 can be found dotted around the bridge, the river banks and Arnhem itself. I also strongly recommend visiting the Airborne Museum Hartenstein. Oosterbeek which is only a short bus ride from Arnhem Central bus and railway station. The contribution of the British, Commonwealth, Polish Parachute Brigade, the Dutch , American and the German occupiers is covered in detail there. "Lest We Forget"

Bridge stands as a monument to those who fought and died in operation market garden although the third bridge since the original it looks identical in every way. Airbourne museum is full of history and worth a visit

Best known as the "Bridge Too Far" from a tragic battle in WWII, the bridge stands as a reminder near Arnhem, Belgium. The cemetery is a reminder of that battle in 1944 and the high cost of war. Definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere in the area. Make it a part of your next trip. Thought-provoking and educational.

A bit underwhelming but I suppose it is a bridge. No where to park to get out and have a look so literally just drove over it. My wife took the photos.

Incredible experience! So much amazing history to discover and many interactive exhibits like the weavers and the blacksmiths. The grounds are stunning and expansive. You can tour the grounds on the trolley which is super fun for kids. There is an entire section of the ground dedicated to kids activities. The restaurant and Cafe was really nice with many vegan options including pastries! The gift shop is very nice with many good Dutch gifts.

In my opinion the best museum in the Netherlands, bar none. Well worth the ticket price and whatever the train costs coming here. The entire museum is extremely well maintained. Facilities are unbelievably sanitary. The food served in the "restaurant corner" of the museum is reasonably priced and mouth-watering good. The fries are a must try. The exhibits offer a detailed look into history, with content written in both Dutch and English. The experience is thoughtfully divided into sectors, each containing exhibits from different time periods. Historic trams run frequent headways in a circular route around the museum. These are free to board and a wonderful way to have a look around. Of course, the museum is 100% walkable. 10/10 experience. The day went by in a flash - will be back.

The Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem is a fantastic destination for families with children. It feels like stepping into a living storybook of Dutch history. What really makes it special for children is how interactive and hands-on everything is. Throughout the museum, staff dressed in historical clothing bring the past to life with friendly explanations and fun activities. There’s also a playground area and child-friendly exhibits that keep little ones engaged and curious. The museum is very well-organized, with clean facilities, family-friendly paths for strollers, and several places to eat or picnic. It’s the kind of place where both kids and adults can learn, play, and enjoy a full day outdoors together. If you’re visiting the Netherlands with your family, this museum is an absolute must-see!

Lovely place in Holland. If you have the museum card and you go with your family, this is a great place to spend the day at. The nature is beautiful, the tram is fun for the kids, you could see farm animals and enjoy the different family activities. I love the Dutch concept of having open air museums where you can see the history of the country.

Beautiful museum about Dutch history and how people were living in the past century. We visited during a busy weekend but because the size of the park it does not feel crowded. A tram can be used to travel quickly from one location to another. Not only the buildings are in perfect condition, but also the landscape, the gardens, the trams etc. are well maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited on our way from Germany to the ferry from Europort. It's a lovely place for a few hours, lots to see. Very knowledgeable staff/volunteers to tell you about the life etc.

For peaceful weekends, I recommend to visit here. It was an impressive and pleasant sightseeing.

Amazing experience. If you have a stroller, they will get on the stroller. They provide free anti-primate bags to put your stuff in. You get to be so close to the animals! There are activities throughout the park to keep kids entertained and engaged. As well as fun facts and other educational things along the way.

Apenheul is a beautiful park with great visibility of the monkeys and superb, friendly staff. The landscaping is lovely, and the whole place feels clean and well-kept. The only downside: the paper maps often end up soggy in the water, which makes things messy — a digital app or clearer route signs would be a big improvement. Avoid going in the summer break — it’s just too crowded and very loud. For children who get easily overstimulated, a weekday in low season is a much better choice. The food is below average, even though there are plenty of food squares to choose from. The park also has several playgrounds that are both challenging and fun for younger kids, which is a real plus for families. The walk through the park is long but very scenic if you enjoy nature. Parking looks like it could be chaotic on busy days, but thanks to the staff’s excellent handling and clear protocols, there’s really no room for chaos — they keep everything moving smoothly. One tip: don’t bring small items in your pockets (sunglasses, phones, etc.). Consider adding a small travel lock to your bag, otherwise you’ll be required to carry one of the free Apenheul monkey-proof bags. They’re big enough, but when packed too heavy, they can become a real strain on your shoulders. All in all, a beautifully maintained park with wonderful staff and a unique experience — best enjoyed outside peak season.

Apenheul is an absolutely amazing place — it’s worth visiting Apeldoorn just for this park! The entire experience was fantastic. Even on a very hot day, the park feels pleasant and refreshing thanks to the tall trees and natural shade everywhere. You can walk among various monkey species freely, and it’s incredible how close you can get to them while still respecting their space. The animals seem very well cared for, which really adds to the experience. One small downside: the video shown during the gorilla feeding session was only in Dutch with German subtitles. It would have been more inclusive if English subtitles were also available. The live presentation was also in Dutch, but considering that most visitors are from the Netherlands and many are children, it’s understandable. If you’re anywhere nearby, I highly recommend visiting. A truly unique and enjoyable experience!

We visited Apenheul and absolutely loved it. The monkeys are adorable 😍🐒 and you can see many of them up close as they move freely around the park. There are also other animals, like capybaras. The whole park is very well equipped, with plenty of rest areas and even sunscreen dispensers available throughout. Everything is clean, well maintained, and organized. The staff is friendly, very attentive to both visitors and the animals, always ready to help. The gorilla presentation was a real highlight. It’s definitely a great place for families with children, but we’re a couple in our twenties and we had a fantastic time too 😊😊

Apenheul – Where the Monkeys Are Better Behaved Than Some Visitors Apenheul was pure magic. The park (and the nearby public park) is spotless, beautifully kept, and just a short walk from a spacious parking area. The real highlight? Dozens of monkey species roaming free, completely at ease – it’s like stepping into their world instead of peering at them from behind glass. At the entrance, you get a free monkey-proof bag to protect your belongings from curious little hands. You can skip it if you’ve already made your own “thief-proof” setup (think carabiners locking your zippers) – but trust me, the monkeys will test your security system. Friendly staff are everywhere, making sure both monkeys and humans stay safe – a small miracle considering there are still the occasional unsupervised kids and the inevitable wheeled trailers people insist on dragging along. The feeding sessions are a must. Check the website or park guide for times – you’ll learn a lot and it’s a joy to watch. Huge applause for the staff, who clearly care deeply for the animals and create an experience that feels respectful, educational, and unforgettable.

Amazing experience. It was a bit crowded, but there wasnt a long wait to get in. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The habitats were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Very educational and unlike any "zoo" experience I've had in the past.

One of the coolest most immersive and beautiful zoos with apes and monkeys that have plenty of space and safe interactions with visitors.

Great amusement park for young kids (<10). Best for toddlers. Not too big, they can't get lost. If you arrive around 10:00, you can park at P1. If you are there after 10:30, don't even bother and head straight for P2. Oh and though the park opens at 10:00, you can't go in before 10:30 so you stand around in the food court behind the entrance. There is a little sign and dance show for the little ones.

Great amusement park for kids to enjoy. Parents can join kids in pretty much every ride. The staff at the rides are also very kind and polite. There can be pretty big queues at each ride.

Very fun park for kids and adults to join in. Good - many good attractions - attractions are not scattered across are large area. - many places to sit and rest - allowed to bring your own food and drinks - plenty of food and drinks stalls - parking P1 is next to the park, P2 is 5min ride with the bus (free provided by the park) - instead of closing down all the attractions at once, they gradually close between 17 and 18, reducing the crowd at the exit, very smart!

It's a wonderful park specially designed for kids of all ages. Adults could also enjoy rides along with their little ones.

Sort of like an overgrown Kermis. Mostly Carnival rides. Some rides you or a friend operate the attraction, pulling yourself up or starting the ride by pressing the buttons. The park had a delayed opening and technical difficulties due to a power outage in the morning. Cute shows for the kids. Kids sit up front. Parents and families sit in the back, it's gives you a few minutes to sit at least. If you buy the character cups, ask for the one want. They should have all of them. A sweet girl change it for us! We didn't fully understand why there were barrels with the cavemen and dinosaurs. This ride also had an extremely long wait. I'm not sure why the gentleman was taking so long to send the cars after they loaded. I assume they didn't have enough cars on the track, but it just seemed to take so long.

Great park with attractions for children. Large selection of attractions from small to medium children. I recommend to visit.

Crowded, expensive, and poorly ran… retirees working here (as you can see in my picture) fill two cups with one small kid each and my two small kids and a whole giant line of people are waiting

Amazing palace, a must visit when you are around. The garden is precious and highly recommended to spend some time outside. The sculptures as well as the plants and flowers are beautiful. The design of the landscape is so cool. Plus, the restaurant is also very good with a scenic view.

Arguably the most magnificent palace in the Netherlands and it is easily reachable by public transport. It's massive so you really need a full day to explore the palace AND the fabulous gardens. Everything is breathtaking!

Its a great place to visit. The tours inside the palace are nice. You can do a tour with a book so you can read from a folder you can get at the start or do an audio tour. Then the gardens are amazing especially when the weather is in your favor. Parking is close and not expensive (€8 for the day day)

Nice to see inside what furniture and style is in every room. Gardens are nice. But comparing to some other palaces and castles this one is not my top. But it is nice. What I loved is a restaurant inside where they have high tea, really nice design. And nice terrace outdoor. Plus they have some activities like archery or some other games that make you feel like you travel back in time.

The graden at the Palace is super cool. There are different types of plants, labelled. A lot of mini activities for kids for example archery. Coming to palace itself, it was pretty awesome. A lot of rooms to explore, though some of the floors are not meant for visitors. The roof is accessible as well via a lift - and there can be queues at the lift. Outside the palace, at the initial entrance, there are some historical artifacts to explore as well like the cars driven by the Royals and other stuff. Would like to complement the staff, who are really nice and approachable.

Second time visiting after more than 5 years. A great destination to visit with family or friends. A great day out to visit not only the palace but also the garden, the antique cars & carriages collection and the exhibitions. Good facility for visitors such as the toilets, lockers, parking, etc.

We didn’t go inside the palace, but with such beautiful weather we didn’t mind at all. The terrace was a lovely spot to sit, and the gardens are truly worth the visit : peaceful, well kept, and full of charm.
