18th-century Baroque palace, with ornate interior, frescoed staircase & collection of Old Masters.
Great tour. Sadly only in German. But for the English speakers there is a flyer which accompanies the tour to read about each room you get to visit making it worth it. Really friendly staff and amazing art and history. Only negative was the amount of time we could stay in each room was almost too short to soak in the amazing art and design in each room.
Lance G — Google review
Very cool experience, amazing, and worth a visit if you're near Bamberg. The tour is only in German, so be prepared to use Google translate if you're not fluent in the language. Very simple, the guide happily spoke about each room, then gave us a minute for Google translate to say it back in English.
Mike — Google review
baroque building from 18th century. served as a summer residence for Bamberg prince Bishop. no photos are allowed. here they filmed the netflix series the empress. highlights are Stairs, ceremony room and the gallery hall. surrounded by side building wings and a park.
David A — Google review
Beautiful castle. The architecture is so gorgeous and the information you receive throughout the tour was very interesting. They provide children with a questionnaire and when they answer all the questions, they receive a small price at the end. What makes me give this a 4 out of 5 is that you can't walk through the rooms alone and can only take a tour so if there is something you want to look at longer you can't because the group moves on. Also absolutely no cameras are allowed inside the castle so that was a bit of a letdown.
Monica G — Google review
Lovely old stately home, we did not go inside even though that is possible. at the time of visiting the cafe and toilettes were open to the public and one could walk in the grounds of the park, this is not a park with ornate garden features but a large park with a lake and grasses were deer can roam. There is ample free parking and covid restrictions were applied at the time of our visit.
Dave P — Google review
The guide was rushed through and in german but a definite visit. Depictions of asia on the ceilings was very intresting but my obvious favourite was the grotto room. You could smell the sea in the room.

Kristall Palm Beach

Mentioned on

Water park
Spas & Wellness
Kristall Palm Beach is a large waterpark with both indoor and outdoor areas, featuring pools, slides, and hot tubs. It offers spa services and dining options for visitors to enjoy. The park is especially popular among children due to its extensive slide landscape, which includes 14 slides with names like Space Center and Future World. Visitors appreciate the reasonable food prices and generous portions offered at the park's dining facilities. Additionally, the thermal pools are highlighted as an amazing feature of Kristall Palm Beach.
Best sauna experience in Bavaria! The facilities are top-notch, with an incredible sauna area that’s both relaxing and beautifully designed. They also offer mineral pools that are perfect for unwinding, and the laser shows are a unique touch that adds an extra layer of excitement to the visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy a luxurious wellness day!
Celina — Google review
a great park for thrills and relaxing; unfortunately when i left they closed half of the slides half way through the day but still got to enjoy most of them.
Sam H — Google review
Kristall Palm Beach in Stein, Germany, is an exceptional water park that offers a perfect blend of thrilling adventures and relaxing wellness experiences. The park features an impressive variety of 15 water slides, including the famous Pegasus II double-looping slide, the first of its kind in Germany. The wave pool, which activates twice an hour, adds extra excitement, and there's a dedicated area for younger children, making it a great destination for all ages. Beyond the slides, the thermal spa area with indoor and outdoor pools kept at a soothing 33–36°C provides a relaxing break. The sauna village is a standout, with themed saunas like the Gondel sauna, which rises 12 meters during sessions, and the unique Helikoptersauna inside an actual rescue helicopter. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers good food options. While English signage is limited, and weekends can get very busy, the overall experience is absolutely worth it. A must-visit if you are near Nuremberg or in Bavaria!
Tomohiro S — Google review
So clean All the rides are really beautiful, with different levels staring from slow till the fastest level The sauna experience is really amazing Outdoor pool with bar and music full of vibes
Nadin M — Google review
Everything was okay, the wellness area itself wasn't that large, it barely had 2-3 pools with around 34-36 degrees max. The rest of the area was quite crowded with children playing and splashing water everywhere. The food was pretty decent with many nice options. It's difficult to park the car here, we had to park in an empty area near the place because the parking was full.
Ouissal B — Google review
I have been a loyal guest of The Palms for many years, but my most recent experience was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. During my visit, I began feeling lightheaded and dehydrated. I politely asked for water, stating clearly that I was willing to pay for it. Instead of receiving assistance, I was treated rudely by the staff—despite being a paying customer. What made this experience even more painful was witnessing white German patrons being treated with courtesy and prompt service, while I was ignored and dismissed. I felt discriminated against, not only through the lack of basic hospitality, but also through derogatory language spoken in German—language I understood, although it may not have been assumed I did. When I raised my concerns with the manager, they simply spoke to the staff member in question, who of course denied any wrongdoing. Without security footage or audio recordings, it becomes my word against theirs—but that does not mean my experience should be invalidated. I hope The Palms takes incidents like this seriously. No guest should feel humiliated or discriminated against, especially when asking for something as basic as water while visibly unwell. I would appreciate a formal response and to know what steps, if any, are being taken to address the issue and ensure this kind of behavior is not repeated.
Beth O — Google review
My family and I had an incredibly uncomfortable and disturbing experience at this pool. We were shocked to see a fully naked adult man in an area where children were present. This is not only a breach of the pool's rules but also created a deeply unsafe and inappropriate environment for my child. The lack of action from the staff was deeply concerning. I strongly advise against visiting this pool, especially if you have children." ************ I am replying to your message because you have switched off the reply function. Which is very concerning, that you are not taking this seriously. We are talking about underage children. I was not in the sauna area on the day of the incident. There was absolutely no reason why a grown male be naked in front of my 6 years old daughter. I called the police at 22:02 on 19.08.2025 to report it. The Bademeister did not record our complaint, even though we specifically asked him to. I am very concerned that this lack of official record-keeping could be an issue. Could you please follow up with the Bademeister on duty at that time and provide me with an update?
Razvan S — Google review
The sauna was good. There were queues for Aufguss which is not cool when you want to relax. The therme is huge

Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
PLAYMOBIL -Fun Park is a child-friendly leisure park featuring themed, toy-inspired zones, playgrounds, a quarry, and a climbing area. Visitors recommend bringing food and spare clothes for water activities. The park offers endless slides, climbing structures, and water play areas. It's considered great value for the price with ample attractions to keep kids entertained all day. Additionally, there are indoor options available in case of inclement weather.
Well what a place! We visited on a weekday with family. For the price we were a little sceptical. But Wow what an amazing place for all the family. I had as much fun as the kids. As I grew up with Playmobil over 40 years ago. So really loved it. The different areas were great. And the inside where you get to play with all the toys wow. Food and drink was really reasonable and could keep cups etc if you wanted. Overall a great fun day out Highly recommend.
John S — Google review
Great place por kids! It's small but your children will have a blast! There is an indoor area with several stations to play with a bucket of toys for each kid. There is an outdoor area with a pirate ship and a pirate shack with a slide, a little fountain with a hand pump and another mini slide. The cafeteria has a good selection of dishes and reasonably priced. If you gonna buy some toys, just make sure to buy them at the store before closing time.
Eduardo L — Google review
Absolutely great outdoor park with tons of water playgrounds . Kids are busy playing there and us adults can sit and relax . It’s great in summer . Personally I don’t like the indoor spot . Way too noisy and stressful . Supposedly winters are long and it’s great to have a playground covered ….but yeah … The outdoors in summer are just the best for young and older kids .
Lexe B — Google review
The visit was excellent. However, there aren't many activities for children under 1.20m mostly playground-type areas, the water zone, and the Bauernhof area. The rest was for taller kids. Still, we had a great time, and my daughter enjoyed the whole day. There's a restaurant with a good variety of options and reasonable prices. The only downside was a restroom near the restaurant, it was quite small and not very clean, but the one inside the main building was much better. We went during the school holidays, so it was quite crowded.
Macarena P — Google review
this time we were disappointed. Masses of people. Everywhere is full. Where you should look for treasure - there is no treasure or tools left. Treasure hunt near the shells - also empty. Queues in other attractions. Anyway - the park is big, there is a lot of everything. We only went around it in 4 hours. good prices
Agnė P — Google review
This is the best playground for kids! I was a little skeptical about the price, but it's absolutely worth it! Imagine a Playmobil village in real life, water games, castle, pirates galleon, amazing! My 3yo really loved it!
Arianna L — Google review
Amazing place for our 4 year old. Nice prices for food and drinks inside. For a norwegian, the biergarten was amazing to cool down with a nice bavarian beer.
Yngve F — Google review

Ansbach Residence

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Elegant rooms in this opulent, historical palace showcase paintings, Ansbach pottery & porcelain.
very place to visit. but is a shame we can't take picture in the tour.
Alex C — Google review
baroque-renaissance residence, place of sitting for the Markgraven. you can only visit with a guided tour, a gothic hall on the ground floor is open freely. the tour is a series of rooms and story of the owners. the place is under heavy renovation works (outside and inside), plans for end 2025 to be reopen without limitations again, but the replica is there to see especially the ceiling rococo in the fest Halle. the place was barely damaged in war so you could actually see original stuff from the 18th century.
David A — Google review
The palace offers an engaging visit that can be completed within an hour. Visitors have the opportunity to explore several interesting rooms and gain insightful information about the site. Guided tours are available and provide a great experience; however, they are conducted exclusively in German. For non-German speakers, understanding the full context may be challenging, as the information is presented in a printout sheet, which does not entirely capture the essence of the experience. Also some of the rooms are under repairs and are not visitable. Additionally, the ground floor features a porcelain exhibition, enhancing the visit with an interesting cultural touch.
Petros P — Google review
Visited the castle with the English tour because you can't visit by yourself. The guide was really nice and his English was great too. The castle is really nice though it is not furnished and some renovations were going on. But the guide made the visit much better to be honest!
Melanie M — Google review
Really beautiful palace and tour was very interesting. Not as opulent or large as the one in Munich but still quite nice. Parking is on the city street and you have to pay for it.

Excellent visit, not yours at the moment due to covid, but you can walk through the rooms.on your own (although not ally he rooms are open), there is only limited information in English, but staff are really friends, after visiting I went to the gardens across the road

Harburg Castle

Mentioned on
2 lists

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Harburg Castle, located on the Romantic Road in southern Germany, is a well-preserved 12th-century castle complex with a mix of architectural styles. Despite enduring numerous sieges and wars over the centuries, it has remained remarkably intact. The medieval covered parapets, towers, turrets, and red-tiled roofs create an almost cinematic setting. Guided tours offer insight into the castle's long history and are led by knowledgeable historians or curators who make the experience entertaining and informative.
The Castle was truly amazing, we did visit on our own but I recommend going with a tour guide because it can show more things like the interior of more important rooms in the castle, on your own you do not have access to them. But overall, it was a beautiful experience, the whole place was very well maintained and there is alot to see, you can really get immersed in the medieval feeling of this Castle. Highly recommend to visit!
Deian B — Google review
This is a well preserved castle near a wonderful little town of Harburg. The walkway from the town is whimsical, do not skip it. The castle has been in the same family for many centuries, they just recently transferred it to a non profit and opened to the public. They still have their residence here, and while those rooms are open for visitation, no photography is allowed. I definitely recommend to go for a guided tour,as it's the only way to see the inside of the castle, to climb the walls and explore it for real. For English speaking visitors they have a printout that follows the tour, but you are still seeing everything on the inside . It was a well spent time.
Elllen K — Google review
I had a great visit! They were very lovely and accommodating as I had my dog with me and due to the weather they allowed me to carry it during the castle visit and avoided missing the great guided tour . But this might be allowed only for small dogs that can be carried in travelling bags. So please check first.
Iuliana B — Google review
I’m so happy we found this place. We were looking for an authentic Medieval experience and this castle delivered. It wasn’t crowded at all and you can take your time exploring. It felt just like we were back in the Middle Ages. The tickets are cash only but it was only a few euros per person. The gift shops and restaurant take credit cards and they were not crowded.
Adam A — Google review
Great castle. Plenty of parking, easy to walk around and freindly staff. They charge you to just get in which you can basically just walk around the courtyard. There's another fee to tour the inside. Although the fee is reasonable, just viewing the courtyard for a fee is a bit much. The inside tour was very rushed. There is a lot to see in the rooms and a lot of artifacts and pictures with dates, but they rush you through without a chance to see and read it. At the end, they leave you in an art gallery that is not very impressive. Maybe reverse this, make the art gallery part of the general admission and allow more time to look at the real artifacts in the rooms. Overall, still worth a visit.
W R — Google review
Good parking. Easy walking. Reasonable admission but additional tour fee to see interiors.
Dan H — Google review
Nice find on the romantic road. Had a nice visit here. People were friendly. A lot of history and not a lot of crowds. Take the hike around the castle. It’s worth the experience.

The tour includes a German voice-over of Margaret Steiff's life story and magical stories with soft toys.
one of our wishlist checked! since my daughter born, we're becoming Steiff fans. Finally today we were there (saturday) around 13 o'clock. There are only few people there, so we can enjoy the tour and the museum itself, and also the kids can play in the kids area. its really nice..the tour was memorable..not only the kids also for adults..

We had so much fun here :) We came to Heidenheim City for 3 days trip and came to here for half day visit. It was really sweet for both kids and adults. It’s nice to read the history and also very good presented. We have talked to the lady who is working in -Hand made - area, she is very kind and friendly, explained some aspects very nicely to us. And I was happy to read all those instructions in Japanese especially :)

Small but really amazing museum showcasing the toys made by Steiff. The first part of the museum tour is really beautiful and we could hear the story of how it all began. The last part has a lot of big toy animal structures. A must if you are in this town with kids.

Small and sweet, I would have liked to learn a little more about Margarete's life. But nice for kids and grown ups alike.

A great place to spend the afternoon with children. Such a fun, interactive experience for both young children and adults. Some places were a little overcrowded and we had a few rude families who pushed in front of our children instead of waiting their turn for certain experiences. But overall, it was great to learn about the history of the teddy bear and the gift shop was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Besides being a historical building with the greatest architecture, the staircase outside is used by the town as a stage for plays. Away from home and wanting to serve God with fellow worshippers, it was the most amazing sermon I have attended.

Oh wow. Past amazing. Everything is so old! Be sure to go up the bell tower, just watch your times around the bells because it is loud!! The church is just amazing. Only downside is that very little is printed in English so if you're a tourist, be sure to use Google Translate

Kunsthalle Würth is a cultural gem located in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. This art museum seamlessly integrates medieval and contemporary architecture, creating a unique and cosmopolitan space. Designed by Danish architect Hennig Larsen, the venue showcases industrialist Reinhold Würth's impressive collection alongside loaned works from renowned museums and collectors in ever-changing exhibitions. The museum also features an annex housed in the former Johanniterkirche (Knight Hospitaler Church).
Great exhibition and building...never had expected this kind of museum here in this rural area. Great experience!

great place to spend a day off. Entrance to the gallery is free; a large number of sculpture exhibits are located on the street. Inside there is an interesting selection of art from various directions and periods, a lot of air and light. There is a cafe and toilets. There is also a second museum dedicated to technology. Again, a great place to enjoy a day off.

Amusement park
LEGOLAND Germany is a family-friendly amusement park featuring thrilling rides and an aquarium, as well as impressive replicas of German landmarks constructed from LEGO bricks. Visitors can opt to stay at the LEGOLAND Hotels within the Holiday Village, which offers access to various amenities including restaurants, playgrounds, and a high ropes course. The park also provides opportunities for guests to observe the LEGO manufacturing process and create their own LEGO bricks. Additionally, there are water rides that offer an adrenaline rush.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We had an amazing time at LEGOLAND Germany! The whole family enjoyed it from start to finish. October was a perfect time to visit—great weather and fun Halloween decorations throughout the park added to the magic. There were rides for all ages, and the kids especially loved the playgrounds and interactive areas. One of the smartest features: dedicated play zones near some of the rides so kids can stay entertained while adults wait in line—brilliant! The park layout is very manageable—flat and easy to walk without feeling exhausting. Bathrooms were accessible and food prices weren’t too crazy for a theme park, which was a pleasant surprise. All around, a fun and memorable family day. We’ll definitely be back (got the annual pass)!
Adriel R — Google review
A very successful experience for children aged 4-12. A large place with lots of options that are very difficult to complete in one day due to the long lines for most of the facilities. You have to arrive with a lot of patience. Overall, this is a park where the attractions themselves are not crazy, but the "wrapping" of Lego does its job. The place is very neat and clean and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a recommended day out for the family.
Yonatan A — Google review
This is in my opinion the best of the 3 Legoland parks in Europe. Everything is good value here, especially the food and the quality of said food is fantastic. I went into the pizza restaurant and paid around €16 for a fresh out of the oven pizza and amazing chocolate tart. They both felt like they came from an expensive restaurant, very tasty and beautiful presentation. You have the best selection of rides here from small to thrilling. A really good variety - the best being Maximus. An absolutely thrilling b&m coaster which despite the short ride time, offers some incredible moments of weightlessness. The park is kept tidy and clean - the bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. Queues are managed well and have the bonus of single rider if you're a lone traveller like me. Saves a lot of time. Theres a few little themed shops dotted around and although a couple were closed on my trip due to the time of year possibly, there's still a lot on offer. More than any other Lego park in Europe like I said. I had the best 2 days here and I can't wait to come back again.

We took the kids to Germany and our first stop before traditional castles and museums was Legoland Germany! We LOVED it. Drove straight from airport to the hotel (we stayed at the Pirate Hotel), checked in, then did a full afternoon and evening till close. We ate at the steak restaurant near hotels and onsite for snacks, lunch, etc. We prepaid for breakfast at Pirate hotel. Because of birthdays, we did the birthday package (they decorated the room and more) and because tip mattered we did the VIP package. THIS was worth every penny! We skipped the line at every ride, got extra swag & mini figures, and store discounts [don’t forget to ask for tax refund forms at the store (typically 100 or more spent)]. The staff are awesome and most are bilingual if you are rusty. If you are a LEGO fan or traveling Germany with kids, this place is worth every penny! For the super fans, they had themes we found no where else (e.g. adventure series at the log ride); and rides that are not found at the US Legolands. Augsburg and Ulm are nearby if you need a culture/ museum break.
Chris D — Google review
We spent lovely 2days here, great experience for us, adults and our kids. We had lovely weather, so a lot of people arrived, and some attractions were crowded, and we had to wait. Luckily it was just occasionally. Plus was Halloween decorations and products that can bring home🎃🎃 Thank you, will come again.
Katerina J — Google review
Great place for young kids . We spent one day there , 2 would have been better as we didn’t see everything. Very reasonable as once you pay all the rides are free . Ideal kids age 5-12.
Felicity W — Google review
An absolute dream holiday location for my family and I. My son and daughter loved it, the rides were great, food was good and queues were decent. Staff were very friendly, parking wasn't an issue and having Peppa Pig Park right next door made it ideal for my 2 year old daughter too! It was also great fun for my wife and I. Unforgettable memories were made and we cannot wait to visit once again!
David C — Google review
If you or your kids like LEGO then you must visit, the place is huge and there are a lot of activities for all ages. To really cover it you need at least 2 days to get on most of the rides. The only downside is the large ques that form so you don't like to wait a lot then maybe pay more for the express pass. You can also get tickets online for both the park and the parking which I recommend to save some time.

Must visit! Kids had lot of fun. We were there on weekday so we could take most of the rides. Not much rush on weekends. Still we couldn’t cover everything. Need multiple visits if you plan to experience every ride. Food options are also great.

We was at the first time in Skyline Park near Bad Wörrishöfen. Not really crowded as used from other parks. Fair prices for food and beverages. Some attractions seemed a little bit older. Employees were helpful but not friendly. Overall it’s worth to visit Skyline Park especially with smaller children.

a wonderful amusement park! unfortunately it is only in German... all the information! there is no long waiting time! you must have printed the tickets! check the program there is a fireworks show some days at 11:00 pm!

This is an excellent park to visit if you all about the rides! The rides are great. Including some that I had never seen before in other parks. Many of the rides are not for kids under 1.40cm and they are worth it! We visited the park middle of the week. Off season and with some small rain. And we had the feeling that we have the whole park to ourselves!! Stuff is friendly and all rides are operational even if you are the only one there!! It has less of the fairytale park but for hardcode riders!!! Loved it!

Wonderful experience for the whole family - or you can just go crazy with your friends! The entry fee is a bit expensive for the first look, but you got value for your money. The food and drinks are at reasonable prices - not double takedown, and I really appreciate it. The park is clean, the staff is really kind and helpful. Grab a map at the entrance and you can spend the whole day there. Highly recommended for everyone!
Csaba S — Google review
Nice choice of rollercoasters, roundabouts, and other rides. Plenty of opportunities to dine, quite some at reasonable prices. The experience very much depends on the length of the waiting queues and thus on the number of people visiting the park. We went on a Friday in August, where many Bavarians are on vacation, so it was great. Kids with a birthday +- 5 days of the visit are free. Reduced fees for all under 1.50m. Most really heavy rides are free from 1.50m and 14 years of age.
Ron M — Google review
We went here on 3 November during kids autumn break, knowing it was the last week before Skyline closes for winter break: we paid the full price as it would of been summer season, a lot of amusements did not work as well as small huts with snacks were also closed. The staff for the rides were extremely RUDE and moody. We started to question if that was after Halloween mood or what has happened but everyone working there was super grumpy. It was quite disappointing experience and not worth of the money we spent.
Ieva S — Google review
If you want to use the train you have to walk 10-15 minutes from the station Rammingen bay to arrive the parking space and from there enter the park. If you are alone walking through empty fields might feel a bit uneasy. At least for me as a solo visitor arriving there early Sunday. You are provided with a useful map at the ticket booth. Adrenaline seekers should pick red-marked-equipments. There are beautiful sites for nature lovers as well. You need at least 5-6 hours to walk around and stay in line for your favourite games. The price and distance worth the adventure.

UNESCO world heritage Park that is top notch in size, beauty and features. It's free, never locked and has the most flowers, herbs, trees and walking trails imaginable. Kneipp baths (multiple leg stations, arm stations for adults, kids and disabled people), educational herb garden with smell stations, frog pond, huge bird aviaries, fountains, lakes with duck islands, exercise and mobility stations ("the five Esslingers"), agility and balancing trails, barefoot trails, labyrinth, mud station to walk through and so much more. All based on Kneipp's natural healing therapies. You can't ever see it all, but you can try...

Amazing location if you are looking for for a calm therapeutic nature walk. There are trailed walks pathways where you can walk barefoot and experience different senses. Though I have visited here before but yesterday the rose garden was not well maintained, I think this years constant rain was not good. Highly recommended as well if you are coming here with elderly parents

Great destination for a calm therapeutic nature walk. One gets both peaceful and meditative encounter. The area is touristic also. I like the spacing and varieties of things to explore. It makes one appreciate the things we often take for granted. It's inspirational the history of the place and those that made it really happen. Fully recommend and worth your time if you're anywhere close to Bavaria.

Amazing park to visit in the middle of the forest. Beautiful rose garden and lovely lake. A bit disappointed as they don't keep the very famous umbrellas for longer time in the summer. Would be nicer if they stay there for the full summer time. Free parking for 2h. And Toilet facilities. There could be more take away coffee places and refreshments.

So Beautiful it was nice to walk and even give yourself a treat both visual and physical We walked and lost count of tim
Anna P — Google review
The barefoot trail is a lot of fun for the whole family. My only complaint is that some sections could be better marked since the paved road interrupts the trail. The trail is pretty rough on your feet but it is worth it for the experience. Some of the stations along the trail are mud pits, balance bridges, and various walking textures. Parking is a little difficult especially on weekends when the weather is nice. There are also limited lockers on site to store shoes. They require a 1 or 2 euro coin that is returned at the end of use.

Sights & Landmarks
The Ulmer Münster is a Lutheran church built in Gothic style, located in the heart of Ulm City. It boasts the world's tallest steeple at 161.53 meters high and features an impressive carved choir. The church is considered a must-visit landmark in Germany, offering visitors a glimpse into the Middle Ages with its lovely Gothic architecture.
I visited the Ulm Minster on my birthday and it was such a special experience. The structure is absolutely breathtaking – you can’t help but be amazed by how tall and detailed it is. I found out it’s actually the tallest church in the world, with a spire reaching about 161 meters high! It took several centuries to complete, starting in the 14th century and finally finishing in the late 1800s. Walking around the cathedral, I was blown away by the gothic architecture and how well-preserved everything is. The inside is peaceful and beautiful, and just standing there made me feel so small in the best way. I didn’t climb the tower this time, but even from the outside, it’s super impressive. If you’re ever in Ulm, you must visit this place. It made my birthday truly memorable. Totally worth it! 😊
Pankaj S — Google review
Every nice church. This church has the tallest tower in the world. You can pay 7 Euros and walk all the way to the top. Please ensure that you are semi fit....it is a long and winding staircase of over 750 steps. But the view is worth it. They are currently doing some restorations to the church so please bear with the noise.
Lewis M — Google review
Ulm Minster is breathtaking both inside and out. The Gothic architecture is incredibly detailed, and the interior is full of history — especially the 15th-century choir stalls with their intricate wood carvings. The highlight, of course, is climbing the tallest church spire in the world. It’s 768 steps up a narrow staircase, but the panoramic view over the city and, on clear days, even the Alps, makes it worth every step. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and bright, with beautiful stained-glass windows and an impressive organ. The Münsterplatz around the church is also lively, with cafés and markets (the Christmas market here is fantastic). Be prepared: the tower climb is steep and not for everyone, but if you can manage it, it’s unforgettable. Overall, Ulm Minster is one of Germany’s greatest landmarks. Highly recommended!

Ulm Minster is an awe-inspiring masterpiece of Gothic architecture and holds the distinction of having the 2nd tallest church tower in the world. Standing at 161.53 meters. It's interior is very impressive and magnificent with stained glass window and majestic Hall.
Sarath P — Google review
Ulm Minster is an absolute must-see — not only for its record-breaking spire, but also for the sense of calm and beauty it offers. It’s very easy to reach, just a short and pleasant walk from Ulm’s main train station through the charming old town. When I visited, there was some ongoing renovation work, with padding and scaffolding around the front and upper sections, which did slightly spoil the full view of the façade. However, the minor distraction did not take away from the overall experience — once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. The city’s noise fades away, replaced by a deep sense of peace and stillness. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a quiet moment of reflection, Ulm Minster is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit.
Girish V — Google review
The Ulm Minster is absolutely breathtaking and a must-see if you visit Ulm. Its towering spire — the tallest church tower in the world — dominates the skyline and offers incredible views if you climb to the top. The interior is just as impressive, with beautiful stained glass windows and a peaceful, majestic atmosphere. You can really feel the history and craftsmanship that went into every detail. Whether you’re interested in architecture, history, or just want a stunning view over the city, the Ulm Minster is unforgettable.

Located in the fishing district near the Danube, Schwörhaus is a captivating red and yellow baroque building from the 17th century. Today, it serves as the city museum. Ottobeuren Abbey

What a gem! Both architectural and spiritual. Set in a peaceful town, you can explore freely and at your own pace everything this place has to offer. It’s overwhelming so get ready to take it all very slowly. Our only regret was not being able to hear the organ when we were there.

By far one of the most stunning looking churches i ever visited. The sheer scale of the inside is breathtaking. A lot of the inside is gilded and catches your eyes. Would totally recommend a visit when youre in the area 👌🏻

A trip to Ottobeuren Abbey isn't just a visit to a church—it's an experience. This insane beautiful church is a full-on masterpiece. The moment you step inside, you’re hit with a wave of awe that's hard to describe. The entire interior is a sensory feast. The paintings on the ceiling and walls are so vibrant, and the stories they tell through color and intricate detail are absolutely mesmerizing. Then there are the sculptures—each one feels alive, a testament to the incredible skill of the artists who created them. It’s like every surface, every corner, has a story to tell. This isn't just a place of worship; it's a "Gesamtkunstwerk," a total work of art, where painting, sculpture, and architecture merge into one breathtaking vision. If you're ever in the area, you have to see it for yourself. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Summer toboggan run
Water & Amusement Parks
Alpsee Bergwelt in Immenstadt offers an exhilarating Alpine roller coaster that winds through a forested mountainside, providing thrills for visitors of all ages. The attraction also features Germany's longest year-round toboggan run, the Alpsee coaster, as well as the Barenfalle high ropes course and the 'Abenteuer Alpe' mountain-playing adventure. Families can enjoy a large playground for little ones and zip lines for older kids and parents.
Plenty of parking, at least for this time of year, with only a €3 charge. Need to put in the cart number plate and pay the fixed fee for the whole day. Process to go on the cable car are €15,50 for adults for a rework trip which you can choose to come down with the coaster. Decided to go for a walk up with the kids (4 and 6) which we managed 1/4th of the way as it gets really steep. Can spend a few hours here

What an awesome place to spend time with your family. They make it easy to get up the mountain using the ski lift. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online all at the same price. Family discounts are offered and you can purchase packages for all the attractions. The Llama park was a treat and they even have three different places to eat once you summit. The toboggan karts are clean and very safe going down for like what it seemed as an eternity. I would highly recommend it as a must visit if you're in this area.
Anibal P — Google review
It's a great place for nature lovers. You can try a combination ticket for ascending and descending by cable car, or ascending and descending by coaster. Alternatively, you can walk up and down. The upper section consists of three sections: a children's park with an entrance fee, a climbing experience trail, and a free common area open to everyone. Spending time at an altitude of 1100 metres is enjoyable. I recommend bringing tick and insect repellent. Restaurant prices are reasonable and not touristy.
Ufuk D — Google review
We reached the place at 9.40 am on a sunday, took the chairlift and reached the coaster right at the opening time. So we did not have to wait at all ! We had the best time with the coaster ride.

Erwin Hymer Museum

Specialty Museums
Vintage caravans, motorhomes & cars line this contemporary mobile home museum, plus a restaurant.
What a fantastic place. First as we are in a Mobile Home we could stay on site overnight. We went into the museum when it opened at 10am, the gentleman on the counter spoke english and showed us how to download the app so we could check out all the displays in English. Once inside ‘wow’ amazing displays and set ups, showing the history of caravanning and motorhoming. So glad we made the effort to see this museum. For those with children there are also areas to keep children occupied and I can imagine for hours.
Kiwisflythecoop N — Google review
Absolutely satisfied! Friendly staff, kid- friendly museum, just more entertainment focused on traveling camping etc needed(kids related)
Igor G — Google review
It's a nice place to visit, especially for those who love motorhomes. Unfortunately, the museum was very hot with a lack of ventilation, so we left earlier than we wanted. The restaurant was even warmer, so we didn't stay in. Also, there is no translation, so all the descriptions and information are for German speakers only. Shortly speaking, not international.
ARR — Google review
It is an amazing experience in a place where one can find a lot of information about the history of caravans and campers in Germany and even more. There you can see the newest Hymer camper that is very impressive. The exhibits are interesting and enchanting. You can get an iPod with explanations in English. I enjoyed every minute and we spent there more than two hours. Price is 11 euros per person but there are discounts and for journalists is free of charge. There are also very nice souvenirs at shop.

A fantastic place to walk with the family, lots of fun and adventure guaranteed, and of course, with beautiful landscapes. there are several trails to do on foot or with ski equipment. A beautiful city too.

It is a nice, small ski area for families to introduce their kids to skiing. Being very small you can always keep an eye on your little ones, during their ski class or after (if they are old enough, to ski alone). The reason for only three stars is, it’s mainly having old T-bar lifts and this is in my opinion something to change, at least for one or two of the old T-bars. Nevertheless i will return with my family as i like the area.

I liked this place. It is aimed more towards an older crowd (no slides for kids and the like). Food and drink are not available on the Therme side of things, but there is a restaurant there before you go in. I got the feeling this place was more geared towards the therapeutic crowd, but it was quite nice.

Pfänder, situated just above Bregenz, is a popular destination for a day trip offering breathtaking scenery. Visitors can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city and the lake from this famous vantage point in Vorarlberg. Accessible by foot or via the Pfanderbahn cable car, which takes only six minutes to reach the summit with an altitude difference of over 600 meters, Pfänder provides an ideal opportunity to immerse oneself in the great outdoors and picturesque landscapes.
Amazing views on a good sunny day. Ours was at the end of August. Very cool, interesting zoo. Top class operation overall, clean and efficient. Not much waiting at the lift and parking was not a problem either.

An amazing spot with breathtaking views over Lake Constance and the surrounding mountains! The cable car ride up is quick and scenic, and there are plenty of walking paths and viewpoints at the top. Very nice mountain for a hike. You can also take the Sailbahn. The hike is not an easy one with steep roads. You need to gain almost 600meters from the bottom which was hard for me ;) the place is amazing and offers the best view of Bodensee from the top. Sunsets are really cool to watch from the top. Must visit !

A very beautiful and quiet place, overlooking three countries: Austria, Switzerland and Germany, you can see the top of the Alpine mountain range, you can go up on foot or through an air lift that costs 15 euro to go up and down or 8euro to go up or down only. A place I recommend to any tourist to visit

Wonderful areas along with scenic view from the ropeway or cable car. The place is in Austria but from there you’ll see the Germany as well as Switzerland. For those who would like to do one day trip this is the best place to roaming around with friends and family.

Great place to visit if you're in Austria. The cable car is 1 big cable car that is shared with others at the same or similar time as you. Not a long ride, 5 minutes to the other side and you can nice views. When you reach the other side you can come straight back or you can get off and explore as there is mountains where you can do skiing there, there is also a kids playground area there which was useful for the kids. There is a wildlife park with small animals you can enter this as it comes with the ticket option if you chose this option. Good prices as I was expecting more. For 2 kids and 2 adults it cost £27 cable car and back and to see the wildlife park.

Alpine Coaster Golm

Recreation center
Water & Amusement Parks
Summer toboggan run

Absolutely amazing, all loved it! We went on a Saturday morning in June and had no queue, although it was a rainy day. Felt very safe - you're strapped in but the way the cart is designed even as you're thrown to the side around bends it keeps you in. It also brakes for you if you go too fast. My advice to go as fast as possible is do some slight braking before any bend that looks quite sharp. Keeping the brakes off means that you get slowed down more by the automatic braking system than you otherwise would.
Vicky J — Google review
Alpine Coaster Golm was amazing! Beautiful views of mountains and lake, smooth ride, and just the right mix of fun, speed and beautiful nature. You control the brakes, so it's great for both thrill seekers and families. Staff was helpful and everything felt safe and well-maintained. The ride is worth doing more than once. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area!
Abdul K — Google review
What a great place! The Coaster downhill was hilarious and so much fun. Took it twice, one with each kid 😉 what a rush. You decide yourself how fast you want to go, but the cart can go no more than 40 km/h. Down the hill there are signs where to hold on the speed and brake a little for the sharp turns. We also took the lift to the middle station and walked down the mountain and tried the 6 slides that's about 50-60m in length each. Perfect way to get down a mountain 😂 There is still a bit of walking to get down. There are tons of hiking trails that we didn't try, but it covers a huge area, so there is something for everyone.
Michael B — Google review
A great 2.6 km ride down (a gondola ride up in luded in the cost)! But, I a very long wait, 1 hour or so.
Oksana R — Google review
Really fun and felt really safe! You can sit on one coaster alone or together with one small child. It has seat belts for (both) passengers. It can go really fast but you van can also slow it down by using the hand brakes. In August 2022, the price was 13 euros per person per ride which was definitely a good deal for the experience!
Nima S — Google review
Honestly really nice chill for all ages

Additionally, visitors can explore unique destinations like Sea Life and thermal baths for relaxation. Mainau's Butterfly House is particularly popular among tourists.
A wonderful Island in the beautiful city of Constance(Konstanz). This island is decorated with thousands of varieties of flowers, each one more beautiful than the other. With a breath-taking view of the lake Bodensee, you can wander around the island and won't get enough out of it.

the island is very pretty and has a lot to offer, many different kinds of nature sections and lots of things for kids around/ food places etc but was quite expensive (especially because i didn’t have long to stay which is not an issue of the place) but i could see how it could be kind of worth it as a whole day activity

The island is incredibly beautiful — everything is in bloom and so well maintained! However, we were really disappointed to find out (a bit too late) that the butterfly house has different opening hours from the rest of the park. We arrived just 10 minutes after it closed and sadly missed it. It would be great if the timing was clearer on the map or signs.

I can bet it is the most beautiful places I have visited. For the tulips, instead of visiting Keukenhof, this is a better place. Surrounded by nature, play gyms for kids, animals where kids can even feed the goats was a holistic experience. We went with our 2months old baby and it was quite smooth. There were ramps everywhere. Accessibility was not a challenge. The tulips were beautiful. There were other flower exhibitions as well indoors. A must visit for everyone!!!!! The connectivity via ships is also very smooth and timely. We went from Meersberg to Mainau.

SEA LIFE Konstanz, located in the city of Konstanz, Germany, is a popular family-friendly aquarium offering a diverse range of marine habitats to explore. With over 30 aquariums spanning 3,000 square meters, visitors can marvel at more than 3,000 freshwater and saltwater fish as well as various sea creatures like sharks, rays, and sea turtles. The attraction provides an opportunity for both kids and adults to discover the underwater world without getting wet.
Went here with my parents to show them something nice in Konstanz ,didn't knew the existence of a aquarium so close to where I live and I had to visit it ,went there in a Saturday it was incredibly crowded ! BUT the content inside is amazing ,so many pretty fishes some big and ugly ,the ocean recreations in small tanks is incredible ,it's like watching a small part of the deep ocean just in front of you ! It's very large ,it even has a kinda glass tunnel where the fish ,sharks and even sea turtles can be seen crossing above you ! So cool! The entry for wheelchairs is easy there is a large ramp but some parts inside have stairs might be difficult to move ,dunno if there is someone who helps or alternative rout at the end there is a gift shop with plushies and other stuff also is where the nature museum is just go up the stairs and you will be at that museum ( yes in the gift shop)

Buy tickets before. Too crowded, even though they work with time slots. Very good for small kids, not for adults. The app with animal recognition doesn't work well. It's announced as in German and in English, but only German is available in the app. Bistro is good! All text is only in German!

Disappointing. It is so overpriced for the variety of species you can see there. There is nothing special at all. It’s so small and that I really couldnt believe that was all. Doesn’t make sense to drive if you live far away. And definitely not worth the price you pay. You can visit much better places for this price.

I had an okay experience at the aquarium. While there were lots of fish to see, I felt bad for the penguins because their space seemed quite small. Aescher - Guesthouse on the mountain is a charming 19th-century inn located at an elevation of 1,454 meters on the mountainside, offering stunning panoramic views of the Swiss countryside. The guesthouse provides a picturesque setting for a day trip, with breathtaking landscapes and affordable, delicious food. The young couple managing the restaurant are friendly and enthusiastic about sharing their travel experiences.
We did a day trip from Zurich and hiked all the way up from ground level – an amazing and rewarding experience! The trail is fairly steep in places but well worth it, with beautiful spots to rest including a lake, forest chapel, hilltop chapel, and even curated cave exhibits. The restaurant itself is perched dramatically on the cliff – totally unique and with absolutely stunning panoramic views. Food was super fresh, healthy, and surprisingly delicious given the remote location. Great service too. A fantastic reward after the long hike – unforgettable!

A spectacular place to visit. Food at the guesthouse was wonderful. The hike down from the cable car was about a 20 minute walk. The climb back up was challenging for us seniors. A 350 meter vertical challenge with no hand rails on the upper 2/3. A good portion of the path was very rocky with hot wires for the grazing cows on both sides. For such a popular spot, it's too bad the walkways aren't in better shape.

Hiked down from Schafler and stopped for a drink and snack. Both were delicious and excellent service. Around 10 am was just starting to get busy. Also had a very cute gift shop but as we were hiking the next two weeks we could not afford to carry any additional weight.

I am very disappointed with my stay in your hotel. We had three rooms and each one had serious issues: • First room (4 guests): there were no shampoos. • Second room: there were insects, the water was cut off in the morning, and at night there was something disturbing in the room which made it hard to rest. • Third room: it was clearly not used for a long time. When flushing the toilet, brown water with a bad smell came out several times until it turned clear again. The shower was broken, and the bathroom window could not be closed. When I reported these problems, one of the staff called the hotel owner. He was very polite and kindly offered us free breakfast. However, the staff themselves treated us in a very unpleasant way: • They kept staring at us with uncomfortable looks. • They approached our group several times in a rude way. • One of them told us not to eat a certain food. • And when we were leaving, she said: “I hope you enjoyed eating for free.” So while the owner was polite, the staff’s behavior was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. This made the whole experience much worse. I truly regret staying at your hotel and I will make sure to share this terrible experience.

The spa exudes elegance with its sophisticated decor and attentive staff, although slightly pricier than average. The pools are strategically positioned throughout the premises, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment of the invigorating massage jets.
The wellness experience here was incredible! After a peaceful walk through the Tamina Gorge surrounded by stunning nature, I spent the afternoon at the thermal spa. The warm mineral waters were so soothing—it felt like a complete reset for my mind and body

What a wonderful and dreamy space this is. The Tamina Therme is a 200 year old spa where the waters are heated by the magma hotspots beneath the earths surface. This epic place is designed as a spectacular white cathedral to wellness. Each oval window frames the mountains, trees and even hilltop ruins in the distance. There are many special pools with different temperatures and even pools to be done in rotation based on the warm jets and their different levels of heating. There is an outside pool area and a special space to enjoy and relax with others. They have an opportunity to get a robe for 10 Franc and I say this is the way to do it because the robe can also be used as a towel and perfect to lounge around it with champagne or a spritz in hand. The lockers needed clearer instructions so here they are 1. Get wrist band from front desk upon check in. 2. Choose locker 3. Press with your finger the circle 4. Its lights up 5. Press your wrist band against it 6. a knob extends and locker is now open. 7.put all things in locker 8. Press extended knob with wristband until it stays in. 9. Your items are safe and only you can get them out with your wristband. 10. Have the best time with all the pools and saunas to rest, zen-out and enjoy!

Lovely spa with natural mineral waters in different temperatures. It wasn’t overly crowded because we came on Monday morning. Only one small incident clouded our experience. While we were in the large pool with different jets one Swiss woman told us off and asked to vacate our jets because she wanted to use them. We thought it’s incredibly rude while we are literally in our swimming suits and defenseless. We can’t understand why some people can be this incredibly arrogant. But this is nothing to do with Tamina Therme staff who were super friendly. We definitely recommend to visit!

My boyfriend and I were expecting something a bit better from wellness. The facilities are okay, but it’s a pity that the outdoor sauna area doesn’t have a pool. I don’t mean a cold plunge pool, but rather a small swimming pool or a hot tub – something like that would definitely fit in well and make the experience more enjoyable.

I read the previous reviews before coming, so I kind of knew what to expect. My wife and I came on my birthday and so I received free entry to the pool area, but still had to pay 18 Francs to enter the sauna world. My wife had to pay the full 37 for the pool area (2 hours) and the additional 18 for the sauna world. We thought this was a rather steep cost, given that the pool area does not have that much to offer - no slides or activities, just a few different pools to sit in bubbles. It's nice and relaxing, but it doesn't hold your attention for a longer stay. Once in the sauna area, there is no pool on that side (which has been mentioned previously). This is a huge detriment, to which they respond, "there are pools just a short distance away from the sauna area". Yes, but then there is the hassle of putting your swimming costume back on, going through the turnstyle gate and then being able to get in a pool. It is also nice to swim textile free in sauna areas, which here is not possible. Overall, a lovely place, but lacking in several areas and a little overpriced due to that. Totally worth it if you are just looking for what they offer, but many other such places offer a bit more for similar or less cost.

Fantastic overpriced thermals. Extra 18 francs to use the saunas, but they are very well done. A great place for a swim and some pleasant tickling bubbles.

Spacious, clean, wonderful et cetera! Tamina Therme was a great experience, while staying at the Grand Resort. Multiple pools of varying temperatures, beautiful outdoor pool and ample locker/changing spaces. Must visit if you are in the area.
