We visited here from New Zealand and came to this tower with a cousin. The steps up were pretty exciting and I felt like Indiana Jones 😆. Some people though might find it a bit claustrophobic because everything is very narrow. It was cool seeing the big bell roughly around the middle tower and then climbing to the top and getting a 360 degree view of Košice city centre. My favourite part was being able to ring the ball at the top and even though it wasn’t insanely big it still made so much noise. My family in the park close by could hear it when we rang it. There was a wire mesh that was there for our safety but also made it a bit annoying to look and take photos. At the end climbing down we had to call a phone number because the door was always locked and a person came and unlocked it, but they told us that it would probably happen so it’s not like they forgot about us or something don’t worry. Anyways, loved the great views and the climb was fun. Ringing the bell was the best part.

This is one of the most fascinating churches I have ever seen! You can buy a ticket and climb the old staircase, visit the Rákoczy crypt and climb the church tower which offers spectacular views of the city centre. There is also a holy mass several times a day.

I visited St. Elisabeth's Cathedral with my wife, who is Slovakian, and our son. Whilst admiring how impressive this building is I often forget, or don't appreciate, that this cathedral was built in 1378 to honour St. Elisabeth of Hungary. Many of the people in this region are deeply affect by Košice becoming part of Czechoslovakia in 1918 and then Slovak Republic in 1993.

A place where you connect the old architecture with new modern architecture… an old building next a new one… old narrow road connecting new streets… a place where you want to spend time in … then you have the main street with cafes and restaurants along both sides..

An outstandingly beautiful Gothic cathedral, right in the center of Kosice. It is the largest cathedral in Slovakia and it can be visited for free. For €3 you can visit the cathedral bell tower, which is a steep and narrow climb that starts outside of the main entrance to the cathedral.

St. Elisabeth Cathedral is a breathtaking masterpiece of Gothic architecture and the crown jewel of Košice. What makes the experience truly magical is the way sunlight filters through the stained-glass windows, casting vibrant colors across the stone walls and floor. The interplay of light and shadow creates a peaceful, almost sacred atmosphere that invites reflection. It's a must-see for anyone visiting the city!

The staff at the visitor centre are excellent and have always been extremely helpful. Their knowledge of local activities in kosice has been beneficial and has allowed my time here to be full of activity and an observer of local festivals and traditions. I would highly recommend a visit if you are In kosice.

A stunning fountain both in the day and at night, when the lights start about 6pm. So lovely to just sit and listen to the music with the mesmirising water. Also seeing families and children enjoy it so much.

In Košice, the Singing Fountain on Hlavná Street is such a nice spot — perfect for summer refreshment and good times. I spent so much time here with Tomi: the water jets, music, playful energy, kids everywhere, just full of life and positivity. The fountain isn’t just beautiful, it’s fun: we’d sit nearby, relax, watch the show, hear laughter, and feel the city breathe. Interesting fact: The Singing Fountain was built in 1986, making it the oldest “singing fountain” in the former Czechoslovakia.

The singing fountain is a great water-feature, complete with a light-show and musical background. Unfortunately it doesn't always work and there's no published schedule. We weren't lucky enough to see the light show.

Fun attraction in the center of Kosice. Seems to be active from 10am and it's illuminated after dark.

I went here with my family and it was so cool seeing animals I had never seen in my life. The zoo was so big with so many animals to see. I liked the little food outlet there which we stopped by for some food and a Kofola. The peacock at the entrance was nice for taking photos but got slightly aggressive towards the end and even ran at a young g boy! 😲😅 I especially liked the Meerkats and how one would stay guard while the others did all sorts of random things. Unfortunately we didn’t see the Lynx and the wolfs weren’t there at the moment. Amazing overall and would definitely go again.

Really good for kids , little boring for adults . Price not so bad . You need to Pay for car park 3 euros a day on top of entrance ticket. Zoo is located about 15 min drive from centrum of Kosice.

We could have certainly spent more time here. There was plenty of paid parking for the zoo and other nearby attractions, including a summer bobsled. The price to enter the zoo varies on the age of the visitor, the month, and whether you want to visit the DinoPark. We decided not to see the DinoPark and for two adults, and our 11 year old it was €30.00. Although, confusingly, had we had an extra child it would have cost us less. Anyhow, as a one off, it was worth it. There were many animals that we haven't seen in other European Zoos. The enclosures seemed a bit small but this selfishly provided a much better chance of seeing the animals. Parts of the zoo are on substantial slopes and I did see visitors with pushchairs struggling to get around. There were a number of stalls and a cafe offering food and refreshments, plenty of picnic benches and an abundance of wasps.

The Zoo itself is very big and you will do a lot of walking and conquer some small hills as the pavilions for various animals are not so close. You will find all the main animals, that your kids are looking for. I would add but more signs on where the animals are exactly located. The environment is very nice and feels like being in the forest. Recommending checking when they feed the animals with commentary as this is very nice to see and you get interesting information. The Zoo is quite remote from the Košice. Don't rely on the navigation as it can take you through not very much maintained roads, although appearing the shortest way.

The zoo was one of the best I've ever been to and it had a bunch of exotic animals that I've never seen before with my own eyes. I was also happy with the directions given by the park, because they were somewhat reliable and didn't require any knowledge of Slovakian to understand. The only negative things about the park are that most of the restaurants are closed and the distances between the different habitats are long.

It is always pleasure to visit this place :) No matter how full parking is there is always space for you to get around playground, animals, coffee or Dino park. The best this time, was to see small bears to fight and one of them even climbed the tree. We recommend to take some vehicles if you are with kids 🛴😊

The Zoo is a wonderful place for the whole family. I do recommend visiting the Dinopark if you have a little fan of the dinosaurs.

They seem to have problems with foreigners here as I see on reviews below,. We wanted to buy 3 tickets and the man was lovely, torn the tickets out and asked for €9. Till I got my wallet oversized lady pipped out of the corner - not too sure what was her role - I guess judge -claiming our outfit is not to her liking - naked shoulders 30°C and we are on holidays coming from little to non judgemental country as who is wearing what. To the Church management: Please have the dress code requirement written down. To the lady who didn't allow us enter the church and by her action show in real life to my children 11 and 16 how Christian acts. Sadly my children will remember that for years to come for all the wrong reasons. Jesus would not be proud of you. “I give you a new commandment. Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another everybody will know that you're my true followers" God is Love.

Climbing the tower here would probably be the only good way to see the entire market square at once and catch it entirely in the photo* *I said "would" instad of "it is" because the viewpoint is surrounded by a net, which will mess up your photos, as seen below.

Beautiful church and great view on the square from the tower. The inside of the church was smaller than I expected. The tower has a very narrow stairway to go up (and down). Usually not too crowded.

Beautiful historic church in the middle of the town square, stunning inside and has 2 old bells just outside that are a few hundred years old with history written in English and Slovak. Well worth popping in and soaking up the history.

What a wonderful place! We went on a beautiful sunny day, but it was still stunning. Great place to eat, walk, relax. Because it's traffic-free, there's an air of peace and tranquility. Loads of opportunities for lody!

Always love to visit Krynica. Deptak is a great place to take a walk along with your family. We visited at Christmas and New Year's and the town was beautifully decorated for the holidays. There are many restaurants with polish and regional food as well as hotels and stores with local hand-made souvenirs.

We returned to Krynica-Zdrój after about 10 years and were absolutely enchanted! ❤️ The promenade and the surrounding buildings look stunning – beautifully maintained, full of charm, and truly impressive. It’s so easy to fall in love with this place all over again. Congratulations and many thanks to everyone who put so much effort into making Krynica shine and delight visitors. We’ll definitely be back much sooner this time!

One of the recommended castles to visit in Slovakia. A large castle, impressive and amazing in its beauty. One should devote at least an hour and a half to the visit in order to enjoy all corners of the place. Recommended for a visit with children. It should be taken into account, there is a sharp rise from the parking lot to the entrance of the castle.

Absolutely stunning and magnificent! The site is quite large and it took us about 2 hours to explore everything. The tower is a must-see! You can climb up and get unbeatable, panoramic views of the surrounding area. Highly, highly recommended!

Best castle I’ve visited. A must see in Slovakia. Currently under construction so the ticket is discounted. The area is huge so plan to stay for 2 hours if you want to walk through everywhere. Tickets can be reserved online but the line wasn’t bad for us. Different parts of the castle offer different angles of views, and they were all breathtaking.

Amazing location and breathtaking views from up there. Small coffee shop and a gift shop there too. The walk up to it isn’t so bad. Get there early as the park down before taking the hike to the castle gets filled fast and you’ll end up parked further down the road and that will be a little more challenging to hike up to it.

It dominates the landscape from its hilltop perch above the village of Spišské Podhradie, easily accessible from Poprad by bus in one hour, followed by another hour's walk to the castle. Although in ruins, it's well worth a visit, and the views along the way are spectacular.

Even though some parts have been under construction from 2017 through 2027, it remains one of my favorite castle or fortress sites in Central Europe. The large courtyards gives it a feeling of space and breathing room, which is not too common in castles usually. They also give room for some events like medivial festivals or concerts which is cool. Also the location being situated on a large hill, gives it one of the best views from any castle or fortress I've visited.

I was amazed at the detail and original condition of the castle's furnishings. with a tour guide in Hungarian approx. 1 hour to walk around the castle. This was my best experience visiting a castle, the environment is so detailed.

(+) This castle is exceptionally beautiful with its magical English landscape park, paintings, trophies and interior design. The guests can gain insight into the region's and the Andrássy family's rich history. I think that the whole experience evokes the atmosphere of Sándor Márai's novel, The Candles Burn Till the End. (-) However, I couldn't pay by card at the shop, there was no time to really enjoy the exhibition since we had to rush with a group, and almost none of the exhibited pieces have Hungarian (altough the castle is a Hungarian heritage) or even English description. After all, it was absolutely worth a visit and take a look, but the maintainer could make progress through some changes.

Beautiful old Slovakian heritage building you need to see when you are passing by. Some of the exponates are as old as 1500. In case you are in to old artefact, history and paintings you need to see this place.

Such a lovely castle, with so much history. I was visiting it first time with school 25 years ago, so naturaly I don't remember anyhing from back then. At the entrance we received a small map with a tip that we don't have to follow numbers in order to enjoy the exposition. All was very well marked, to my surprise even some places were accessible, like cellar with steep steps. One enters on one side, walks through short, but dark and damp corridor and exits at other side. At number 13 - tower - we had the most amazing view. Getting there was at some moments claustrophobes nightmare, but we continued and were rewarded. At number 9 there is a piano, that is so immensly out of tune, that I couldn't play anything. Chapen at no 10 was very nice, we donated some coins for the castle repair. The mirror was not working, so at least we took a selfie. It takes about an hour an half to go through the whole castle, we liked video of how the castle was build (no 14). At no 17 we wrote into the book how we liked it. Personal recommendation is to wear proper shoes. Getting to the castle is nice and paved, but inside some steps and stones can be dangerous. If you need a cane for walking, definitely take it.

Beautiful place. Open air museum of traditional village architecture. Dozens of wooden houses and church made entirely from wood. You can buy tickets for Castle and Skanzen for one price. Best to visit in summer time as all the houses are covered by flowers and there are some sheep and goats walking around.

This skanzen is the perfect place for experiencing the atmosphere of old slovak village with a view of the castle in the background. Apart from houses you can visit school, church, workshop and other different buildings. It is possible to enter almost every one of them and see historical tools, furniture and art. Recommend. Very nice looking skanzen! I've read a lot of the history notes and overall very enjoyed the time spent there!

Great place for hike. All roads interconnect so you can start on blue, go through green and end up on yellow which leads to a very granular way of choosing difficulty. Ladders are great although some people may get stuck on them which leads to huge queues. Parking is 5€ for whole day so nothing to worry about. Most places accept card payment also above 5€.

We drove quite a distance to do Sucha Bela and I would have driven even more it was amazing. What a special park. Camping at the bottom was GORGEOUS and the ladders throughout Sucha Bela was so unique and amazing I feel blessed to have experienced it.

We went on the Suchá Belá trek on a sunday afternoon in early May. The weather was ideal, the temperature stayed lower in the canyons. It's not physically challenging, but there are many ladders where people with vertigo could have problems. Overall it's a great experience. We could finish the up and down in 3.5 hours by going at a good pace,but not running of course.

This park is a true paradise for nature lovers, hiking, climbing, cycling, and everything that comes with it. On top of that, the nearby restaurants serve wonderful regional food. Definitely a place we will keep coming back to.

Lovley place, we went on the last day of our stay so only could experience a small fraction of what was on offer. We went around the Palcmanská Maša lake, it’s about a 12k walk all around and was mostly flat, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants and also a waterfall on the walk. Hidden gem

Very nice place, mjust visit if you are in Slovak paradise. From the parking lot ( 5 Euro parking fee, for the whole day, I guess, we arrived around 15.00 hours and payed the same ) you must walk around half an hour on a beautiful path to the cave. Make sure you have proper hiking shoes ( not flip-flops or sandals as we saw ... ) and warm clothes, it is very cold in the cave and the guided tour ( which can be very boring because it is only in slovacian language ) takes around 30 minutes. Near the ticket office ( payment is only in cash ) there a re a few qr codes in different languages for a small info about the cave. You can take photos and videos only if you pay 10 Euros in advance.

The cave is beautiful and it's super unique experience, hands down, so don't miss it. But, parking is not free and only cash and cave tickets can't be paid by card either! We had to realize this at the entrance after the 10 mins hill climb from the parking... And you have to buy photo ticket for 10 EUR to be allowed to take photos inside the cave.. The only option was to change from Ft as we had no Euro at hand. Also the English tour means playing recordings at the points.

If you are in the area, it may be worth a visit. It's an interesting natural phenomenon, to see ice in the middle of summer. It’s a strenuous walk up, my 70-year-old mom could not make it. Inside the cave it’s a short walk, we’ve spent max 15-20 minutes. And it was enough. Check the pictures, it’s kind of boring.

It's really wonderful that there's so much ice inside the cave. Sad, that it's melting. We climbed 1km up the mountain. It took 20 min for us at quite a fast pace and then we appeared at the entrance of the cave. Next to the entrance you can buy the tickets. The Dobsinska Ice Cave is almost 1.5km long, but tourists' route is around 500 m long.

Nice experience. There’s a 20-minute walk uphill through nature (recommended to wear closed shoes). The tour itself lasts about half an hour, and we didn’t take the English tour (not sure if there is one). Note that parking costs €5 in cash only, and in addition to the ticket price, taking photos requires an extra €10 — also cash only!

Quite a stiff walk up to the cave entrance from the carpark (2.50 euros for a motorbike.) The cave is interesting. The tour is short with lots of steps and there's no English translation. Despite this, worth a visit, especially if you've never been to an ice cave.

The mountains. I love them and especially The Pieniny Mountains. There are small but so much picturesque and beautiful. It is easy to start walking in Poland and end up in the cosy and tasty Slovak restaurant on the other side of the border.

An impressive and unforgettable experience! Belianska Cave truly exceeded my expectations. The tour is over 1 km long and takes about 70 minutes, with numerous steps and noticeable elevation changes throughout the route. The cave’s long corridors and dramatic formations are fascinating, and it’s amazing to think that it was only discovered in the early 1800s. I found it particularly interesting that before the war, visitors navigated the cave via wooden staircases and entirely at their own risk — a glimpse into how much things have changed! The tour guide was good and funny (a woman) and clearly passionate, although there was no English-speaking option available — just printed materials in Polish and Slovak. Still, if you’re a cave enthusiast, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

This cave is definitely worth a visit — the guided tour lasts about 70 minutes and the experience is truly unforgettable. You can leave your car at the lower parking lot (€7 or €5 depending on the spot), and then hike uphill for about 30 minutes — the trail is steep in some parts, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Tours start every hour, but in high season they may run every 20–30 minutes. Entrance is €14 per person, with an additional €10 fee if you want to take photos — don’t skip it, it’s absolutely worth it! Cards are accepted. Our guide — a young guy with longer hair — was super friendly and funny, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Inside the cave, you’ll climb over 860 stairs, and the groups are about 30 people each, so you need to keep up a decent pace. All in all, an excellent experience!

Belianska cave is one of the most visited accessible caves in Slovakia. In addition to bizarre rock shapes, it is known for its abundant calcite sinter filling. Although interest in the natural attractions of the cave has persisted for more than 125 years, the laws of its creation have not been fully clarified until now. It is very important to take into account (it is not written anywhere) that the road from the parking lot to the entrance of the cave is a very steep climb that takes about 40 minutes. Inside the cave, there are 866 steps that must be taken into account, especially for people who have difficulty walking. An absolutely impressive cave. The length of the tour is about 70 minutes. Please note, entry only during guided tour hours.

Warning: Don’t look at the one star reviews for this place. They’re all so stupid. Some examples. It’s cold. What did you think it was going to be?! It’s a cave not a beach in Hawaii. The tour was in Slovak. Hmmmm… Where is this cave located? In Slovakia!!! Who would have thought that a place in Slovakia would have tours in that language. There were a lot of stairs. You do realise caves are formed naturally. Not everything revolves around you and the cave isn’t going to make itself flat just because of you. Of course there is going to be stairs involved. Seriously use some common sense people. Unfortunately there are more examples but I don’t want to elevate my heart rate too much. Onto the actual review: The tour guide was pretty funny. We were listening to the tour in Slovakian but there was also Polish audio from speakers in the cave system. The lights were placed really well and illuminated the cave nicely. I liked the concert part at the end which played music and lights turned on and off. I just wish the tune could’ve been better 😂 I don’t know how to phrase this but be warned of the steep climb there. If you can’t manage the climb there, then probably don’t bother going in the caves. Give yourself enough time to get up. Another tip is to go during a time that is less busy because apparently the queues can get quite long. Luckily when I went during a school day I think, there was no queue at all! The annoying thing was that taking photos and videos cost €10. €10! That’s a scam. Great experience! One piece of advice. Arrive at least 30-40 minutes before your scheduled tour . There is a 1100m walk uphill from the nearest parking and it might be tiresome.

You need to walk for half an our, up to the cave. Inside will take around 1 hour 10 minutes.

Hike up to the cave is not easy, but as the guide said, if you are not able to do it, you won't be able to walk the cave... But the cave itself is stunning and our guide was great! If you have got good fitness, I totally recommend it!

Hrebienok is a pleasant destination with numerous hiking trails starting from the top and truly exceptional panoramic views. You can reach it by a funicular railway, which takes about 7 minutes one way and costs around €15 per person for a return ticket. It runs every 30 minutes. Parking near the funicular station can be a real nightmare, so it’s best to arrive early or park further away and walk. The area at the top is often very crowded. There is a restaurant, but if you're looking for a proper meal, it's definitely better (and cheaper) to eat down in the town — the food is much tastier there.

My favorite place for a hike. The waterfalls are gorgeous. After the rains, the river was so strong and the waterfalls were insane!

From Funicular to the first cabin (Rainerova Chata), the walk is easy. From the first cabin to the second cabin (Zamkovskeno Chat), the walk is much harder because it's gradient is always uphill and uneven with rocks all along the way. Unsuitable for the Elderly and those suffering from arthritis of the toes, ankles, knees, legs and hips. The walk will be full of twists and test on the joints. Not possible with wheel chair and those with eyesight issues as you need to select each rock to walk over. The view is great though.

On weekday, path wasn't crowded with moderate amount of visitors. Wear proper footwear and have a jacket in case. The temperature can dropp suddenly. Zubačka 16euro one way adult.Rewarding views, well worth of visit for nature lovers

Lovely place with beautiful views, there is a tram/train that gets you to the Hrenienok and it runs every 30 minutes up until 19:00. From there there are a lot of lovely mountain trails, including yo the waterfalls - can definitely recommend 👌

Went there by the rail car. Place seemed to be OK, however without spectacular views. There were to chambers with ice sculptures- not much to see but worth visiting.

A nice castle that can be explored quite quickly on a self-guided tour. It didn’t offer anything particularly unique, but the castle and surroundings are beautiful – from the walls you can see Czorsztyn Castle across the reservoir, and you can also reach it by boat. The area around the castle is full of stalls and attractions. Unfortunately, the charm of the place is spoiled by the sheer number of tourists – at times it feels literally shoulder to shoulder.

Amazing place. There is a big parking lot right in front of the fortress. There is also a toilet there if you need one, I would suggest using it before going in as there are no toilets in the fortress. The fortress is beautiful and kept in good shape! You get a plan before going in so you know where you are. You'll need around one hour for the visit and when youre done, you can walk across the bridge to a nice house in a small forest area. There you can rest outside or buy something from the nice old lady there! Worth seeing!

Excellent castle and grounds, well worth the visit. There is a lot of steps inside so if you're not so good with steps then might not be for you. Great views from the top of the reservoir and surrounding areas The only thing that let's it down is graffiti in pretty much every area including the walls of the castle upon the entrance. So sad to see.

The parking is too expensive , to start with, as it is anyway an attraction reached mostly by car. They rob you with parking fees in many such places. The castle looks superb among the trees in top of the lake. The entry ticket is also expensive. There are around 15 rooms. All are recreated. The displays are very outdated, information is very limited. Definitely not worth the price, but castles are more expensive attractions. You have to pay for toilet even if you visited the castle!

The castle is very nice although it’s a bit small compared to normal castles in Poland. Yet it has very nice view and around 13 rooms to be visited with English explanations. In the entrance you need to ask for English booklet. If you go a bit late, you will come across a huge crowd yet if you go earlier it’s pretty empty.

Nice place, to walk around the lake. But unfortunately we didn't visit inside because it was a scheduled tour and the next round was 1h+ of wait. Downside very touristic and the public beach next to it is tiny.

The view is amazing over the lake but its ok to visit if you are near by, if you are a person who appreciates the history for sure. But as a person who visited a lot of castles and enjoys them I dont think its worth the trip.

An impressive ruin located opposite Niedzica, above the reservoir. However, the interior doesn’t offer that much to see. The small parking lot next to the castle is insufficient, but you can park on a large, uneven grassy area – an alternative paid parking option. From there, it’s just a short walk to the ticket booth, followed by about 5 minutes walk and downhill to the castle, which is less enjoyable on the way back.

There’s a fence from both sides of the castle entrance , so you can’t take a walk around the castle. Guy collecting the parking fee was super greedy - he asked for 3€ even though the castle was already closed and he left 10mins later (I found empty and at that time already free parking 100 meters back the road.) The castle looks nice from the distance, but I’m not sure if it is worth going inside.

Authentic atmosphere takes you hundreds years ago. Well kept castle. Breathtaking views on the lake. We were family of five and enjoyed every moment of our visit. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Awesome place with a unique blend of ambience and hospitality. Can change its looj overnight depending on the weather. Brilliant to gloomy and back. Worth a longer stay, we'll most definitely return to see it in the summer.

I recommend the multi-storey car park. However, the lake is not marked from the parking lot. From the parking lot, go left towards the souvenir shop, then right up the asphalt road. Then go where the crowds are going that way. :)

Impressive. Since place is available by cable car, easy to reach also for older and not traied people an kids. Views are nice when weather is good.

In addition to the heel and toe system, you can go up the hill from Zakopane with a lift. I recommend buying lift tickets in advance. Starting in the morning, queues for buying tickets are usually very long in the summer when the weather is nicer. The lift also has an intermediate station where you can make a change if necessary and change part of the ascent (or descent) to a walking tour. The upper lift station also has restaurants (on two floors, the lower of which is always less crowded), a toilet (for a fee) and a phone charging station (lockable free lockers in the room next to the toilets).

If you're in zakopane, it's a must see 👌🏽

We has daily free access included in our accommodation. It was great! Clean, not too crowded, even earlier when families were there. The 2 big slides were amazing, there was ample room in the bubbles outdoors and indoors. The locker system is genius and very easy to use. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Very easy to spend 2 hours here unwinding. The staff were very patient and friendly, despite our terrible Polish!

Very nice aquapark. In the city so quite small. Not a lot of seating inside.

A great way to spend a cold afternoon with our two teenage boys while visiting Zakopane. The outdoor pools we very clean and really warm and nice to relax in and look at the mountains. Good value for a couple of hours and yiu can hire towels too. The slides were good fun for the boys.

The Aqua Park ticket price Happy Hour is very correct coz more than 3h when you don't have childrens you cannot stay coz very boring. The pools inside still cold and outside is just perfect 🥰 The sauna areea is really not intersting , and the smell is not confortable. The parking capacitty is very small, and you need to pay 1zloty for each .

Small space with a lot of activities. Issue is with depth of pools (130cm deap), and only one place for babies. Probably would address issue with packing. Not enough space. In general our family of 4 was happy with unlimited time entry for 68eur

I have been with my 2 kids the 10th of Nov and it is really good. Important tips: 1.- parking is included since 1pln/ hour 2.-I were very early at 9 am for 2,5h. People is complaining that it is very crowded but until 11am it was great. It is true that after it becomes preaty crowded. 3.- with 2,5h it is was more than enough

We visited the Zakopane Water Park in the middle of the week. The day was cloudy, and we arrived around 1 PM. At the ticket counter, there were only two people in front of us, so there was practically no waiting. Inside, there were quite a lot of visitors. Getting into the thermal pools was easy, but to use the massage jets we had to wait until others finished. There was also a separate pool for guests aged 14+, which was a nice option. The outdoor pools had pleasantly warm water, though they were also quite crowded. At the slides, waiting times varied: about 5–10 minutes for the red slide and 10–20 minutes for the green one. Overall, it wasn’t too bad, but definitely noticeable. We didn’t try the food, but I checked the menu – prices seemed reasonable. The only downside is that the water park could be larger to better accommodate the number of visitors.

Each grave is different, many of them with traditional wooden or stone markers, blending perfectly with the mountain atmosphere. I’m genuinely glad I visited this place. It’s peaceful, full of meaning, and gives you a strong connection to the roots of Zakopane. If you’re ever in the area, don’t miss it — it’s not just a sightseeing spot, it’s an experience.

All the wooden art in every single grave is impressive. This cemetery is a wonderful display of art, culture and faith, with every tomb having a special detail dedicated to honor those family members who have passed on. The beautiful backdrop of the mountains makes it even more beautiful.

Today I visited the Old Cemetery in Zakopane – also known as Stary Cmentarz na Pęksowym Brzyzku. It’s a really atmospheric and unique place, full of history and character. I saw the graves of some of the most famous people buried here, including legendary Polish figures like Tytus Chałubiński, Stanisław Witkiewicz, and Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer. The tombstones are beautifully carved, often made of wood and stone, with a strong regional highlander style. The entrance fee is 3 złoty per person – not a big amount, although it’s a bit unusual to pay to enter a cemetery. If you're in town, it's definitely worth a visit – peaceful, moving, and full of soul.

This is a beautiful small Cemetery but I am glad to see others here had the same experience / opinion as me - I have never ever come across being charged to see a cemetery even in the most famous cemeteries of London and Paris. To make things worse I was so surprised I thought the man must be selling flowers for graves rather than entry fee. He was not wearing any uniform and did not look in any way official. When I asked him if he had identification (in case was a scam) he became very aggressive and cursed at us - I had to tell him to lower his voice as we are in a cemetery. It was shocking experience. As an international visitor to be shouted at in a cemetery is really scandalous

If you're passing by then it's a quick 10 min walk inside and you see some locally famous people buried there and some interesting looking graves. It's definitely not something major to come for on its own.

It's a pretty mountain range but we had to do a long day trip to see it. Personally, I didn't think it was worth it. The top of the hill has a number of repetitive kiosks of food and souvenirs but it all felt so touristy and commercial. I would not recommend this visit. You do need tickets for the funicular to go up although we saw people hiking - maybe that would've been a more fun activity.

Gubałówka was a great experience, even with the rain! Walking in the mountains was refreshing, and the views were beautiful. There are plenty of shops to eat and buy souvenirs. It’s also very family-friendly with lots of fun activities for kids.

Was wonderful for my seven year old child and the cousin. Clean, safe, with very helpful and pleasant staff. Big enough to entertain for the day but small enough to not be overwhelming. My daughter is already talking about going back.

A perfect amusement park for smaller kids, many rails they could go to and almost everything is included in the price.

Rabkoland is a nice amusement park, but it’s definitely smaller compared to Familypark in Austria. It’s really best suited for kids up to about 10 years old – the attractions are tailored more for younger children. The food was a pleasant surprise: lots of options, tasty, and noticeably cheaper than what we’re used to in Familypark. We went there in the morning and managed to try almost all the rides without much waiting. After lunch, though, it got much busier and the queues grew to about 15–20 minutes per attraction. Overall, it’s a fun and affordable day trip if you have smaller kids, but older children might find it less exciting.

This is absolutely perfect place for kids to spent a day. It's worth the money you pay. So many beautiful and funny attractions, all surrounded by flowers and trees. From the first step even me I felt like in fairy tale. We were in august and queues haven't been long at all. I like that park is especially for the little ones, from 2 to 10 years best I would say. Parents can enjoy many attraction with kids which is definitely plus. Big choice of tasty food for affordable prices as well. Fan for all day. Definitely recommend to visit.

Great theme park...especially for little ones There is plenty to do for the whole day. We did pretty much do all the rides, visited soft play and outside play ground. Lunch was outside in a quick food cafe where you can choose your door and pay per 100g. It was very tasty and good choice for the whole family. Fun day.

It was absolutely amazing the kids loved it. It is for smaller kids teens won't have that much fun i would prefer Energylandia for them. There are also people dressed into a croc, a ladybug and a clown. Really amazing experience

Their locomotives and rolling stock need a bit more care and attention. For example, there is a large stock of engines that are simply rusting away. It would be better if they gave these locomotives a new paint job to make them look tidy, but it is still a good railway museum for Polish steam engines. I mean, I am glad that there are a few locomotives in the roster that are in service, such as Ty42-107 and Tkt48-191.

This is a museum where you can climb everywhere, you can twist everything and touch everything. There are a lot of locomotives and a large area. Interesting exhibits, friendly employees. A place for both children and adults. I would add some kind of railcar so that you can ride on it)

I'm a mechanical engineering enthusiast so having the opportunity to touch trains like that is always great fun for me. This place unlike other train museums I've visited has some of the biggest steam locomotives that were in service in Poland. It truly is an underrated spot and worth visiting. Unfortunately most of the cars on display are closed which is a shame, but the locomotives seem to be mostly accessible and some of them even run. I'm sure there are bigger and more interesting train museums but I've yet to visit one.
