To go from feeling wonderfully content and happy to be in such a beautiful town, to moments later being truly disturbed by the lifeless animals pacing up and down with glazed looks in their eyes due to sheer boredom. I 100% agree with rescuing endangered species but too keep a tiger on its own in a tiny, grassless and baron enclosure seems to be the opposite of letting the animal live on in a protected environment. How for a moment this is happening is beyond me, when across the world there are so many wonderful places where the animals have a great deal of enjoyment and stimulation.

Great little place considering it is free but some parts were being reconstructed so no lions this time. I would agree that the animals do look a bit cramped and a bit sad. I think it would be better to have less animals and more space for them.

I am extremely dissatisfied. I had called before to clarify whether my 15-year-old son could do this alone. This was confirmed! Then I told them that I have about two hours to travel and would be leaving now. When we arrived, they said he couldn't travel alone as he wasn't 18y. old and wouldn't be able to get back across the river on his own. So the journey was for nothing. The treatment was also disappointing: while the men were friendly but reserved, the woman at the counter was dismissive. This was not the service I had expected.

Great way to spend a few hours.... obviously the zip line itself takes a minute, but both villages either side of thr river are well worth a look.

This was my third jump with LimiteZero, with previous jumps in 2015 and 2019 with different groups of friends, and the first two were excellent with everything easy and well laid-out. On this occasion, the website would not permit us to book or pay - there was an error on both occasions that we tried. I followed up by email, and they accepted our booking and said we could pay on arrival. When we arrived, there was some confusion, but we were able to pay and jump. On previous occasions, we have been given information on how to purchase photos of our jump when we landed, but that didn't happen on this occasion; the photographer was busy taking photos of other jumpers and in a roped off area, so we assumed the process had changed since the pandemic and contacted LimiteZero about the photos the following day. Unfortunately, if you don't speak with the photographer immediately on landing, the photos are deleted. The photographer was dismissive and unpleasant when I contacted him, directly blaming me for not knowing how the process worked, which was a sad ending to the experience. I'd recommend that LimiteZero return to providing information on landing. The jump itself still feels safe and well-prepared, but the admin surrounding it could be improved. Note that the ferry from Alcoutim runs half-hourly; if you're coming from Portugal, allow time to get across the river, and remember that Spain is one hour ahead.

It was truly magical. The landscape is so pretty! The camels are very friendly and the staff is really kind. You get an optional walk on the camel, then you get tea and dates while they explain things about the camels, a tour of the farm and wash your hands with natural, organic, eco-friendky soap made from camel milk. Amazing! Super fun experience, unmissable.

What an amazing experience. The camel ride through the dunes was just wonderful. Then afterwards a talk about camels filled with very interesting information - we had no idea just what unique and amazing animals they are… they’ve got a lot more going on than long eye lashes and water storage!! The love of camels by the owner was really special and we adored the whole experience. A total bargain and not to be missed.

The unexpected highlight of our holiday. My teenage son and I thoroughly enjoyed the camel ride through the dunes, followed by tea and dates and a really interesting talk about Camels . My husband was also welcomed into the farm for the tea and talk even though he didn't book a camel ride. A five star experience , highly recommended .

Our Ruta del Jabugo tour at Jamones Eíriz started with a stroll through the fields. We saw Iberian pigs roaming around cork and holm oaks. It was cool to learn about their natural habitat and what they eat, mostly acorns. Those acorns are what make their ham so good. We even got to pet the pigs, which was a fun part of the tour. After that, we went to a traditional drying house where they explained how they make the ham. They use old-school methods and the special climate of the Sierras de Aracena to make their hams so tasty. The tour ended with a tasting of their best ham. We tried two types of ham, each sliced fresh. It was a great way to learn about the ham-making process and taste the delicious results. Our guide Natalia was very informative and helpful to answer all our questions. It was a pleasure having her as a guide. Overall, the Ruta del Jabugo tour at Jamones Eíriz was a great experience. During the two hours you see the black pigs, understand the process of nurturing them and the effects of the specific natural habitat on the final product. Google map is most definitely need it in order to find it. Streets are very narrow there, so avoid large vehicles if possible.

September 2022 - Absolutely the best day we had during our whole holiday in Andalusia. From Cadiz we had a 2 hour car ride to Eíriz, with along the way the most gorgeous, almost ancient looking views of endless acorn trees. Our guide of our tour was Domingo, a very passionate, professional, kind person, we were so glad to have him guiding us through our visit. We started with a walk through the fields, were we could take a close look at the pigs, the exceptional trees, and we had proper time to enjoy the nature. Afterwards a tour through the factory and the drying & storage places of the jamónes with superb explanation of all the processes and a lot of time for our questions. We finished with an abundant tasting of the greatest quality of Jamón Iberico Bellota (and great wines!). Domingo told us he was covering a shift of another collegue who was ment to give us the tour. We had such an incredible experience visiting during the October harvest. We got to see the entire olive oil process from picking the olives, the machinery, and the end results were truly incredible! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic, making the tour not only informative, but also fun and tasty!!!! Trying the different olive oils was fun, and we had to bring some back home. To top it off, Juan, the owner, drove us through the groves and told us some of his life story and the story of his olive oil company. He’s such an incredibly empathetic and knowledgeable person, and we instantly became huge fans. Thank you Juan and everyone else for making our visit such a special day for us, and a top highlight of our year!

The local guide was very informative and gave us eye opening insight into what high quality olive oil should smell and taste like. I think most of our group was surprised by the information provided. Very cool temple, it was the first place I visited where I actually felt like I was really standing in history and not just in a basement of ruins looking at house outlines. Definitely check this place out. You can buy a pass to see all the attractions in Merida for 17 euro and walk around town visiting the coliseum, race track, Roman crypts, the temple of Diana, barracks, etc.

Magnificent museum. Even only the building is already worth it. There’s a lot to see and learn and wonder about. The entrance fee is 3€, except for Saturday afternoon and Sundays (free then). The only things that could be better; the amount of English explanation (not everything was translated, and some of it was translated poorly) and the restorations sometimes are very unclear. What is old and what has been restored? Absolutely worth a visit!

We did not know that this beautiful museum has so many cool artifacts and mosaiques and statues and roman coins and amphoras and some weapons. I really enjoyed the Roman coins and mosaiques the most. Some of them are sooooo huge and fantastic. They have 3 niveaus where you can walk for hours and that you will get overwhelmed by everything you see. 10 stars.

What a great museum covering a great deal of local and Spanish history. Starting in about 3000bc, you make your way through artefacts from different eras in Caceres and wider Spain (through Roman, Visigoth and Moor times, to 20th century). The building is also a great part of the exhibit, including an cistern under the building. The fine are section has works from Picasso and Miro which is very impressive for the €1,20 entrance fee (or free for citizens of the EU!) Detailed information is in Spanish but more concise in English.

What's behind the gate is what's most beautiful. A great medieval city.

Full of many magnificent buildings few of which can entered and few of which seem occupied by families. The city is a museum piece and while one can marvel at the energy and commitment involved in its construction it does seem soulless. No bars or shops that we found in that part of the city we explored. It was worth visiting but my preference is for the small towns which are alive and atmospheric. Try Alcantara for example and appreciate the contrast.

That Town is in my opinion very underrated, because it's so, so beautiful! I reccomend to visit if you're travelling through Spain, it's definitely worth it. The Old Town is just breath taking, and seeing this at night time gives you an opportunity to feel the place, its spirit.

Caceres Old Town: Visited in September 2025. An excellently kept medieval town centre, still partially in use. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. There several monuments of Cultural Interest inside: the co-cathedral of Saint Mary, the church of St Francis Javier, and several palaces and museums.

Very well maintained old castle. Not a lot to see inside the castle itself, but you do get to walk along the ramparts and a little in the sewers below. Not bad for 2€. This is the castle from Game of Thrones Season 7 used for Castelry Rock.

Entrance fee is €2. 30-40 minutes you need to see and to walk inside. Astonishing view from the top to the city. Arabic water storage, small chapel, many towers and stairs.

I felt bad for them, as they were simply doing their job and protecting this incredible monument. Despite that, the tour was wonderful, informative, and well worth it. A truly special place that I highly recommend visiting with respect and an open heart.

Beautiful historical monastery where Charles I spent his last days until he died of malaria.
