Nice shopping spot - lots of shops, very well organized and easily accessible. There are a lot of parking spaces. Toilets are accessible and very clean. Everything is organized in such a way that you don't worry about anything and just do your shopping. For the shops themselves I would say that for some things I usually find better deals online. However, there are a lot of people who prefer shopping from outlets.

A large shopping center with many world-class brand stores at reasonable prices. There is a list of all stores in the photos. Parking is not a problem, there are many parking garages and parking areas. There are cafes, restaurants and bistros. They do their best to ensure the satisfaction of visitors.

The OUTLETCITY in Metzingen is one of the big down in Germany. The products are made in china or Africa and the prices are sky-high. The restaurant food is overpriced and even the drinking water is not affordable in this summer and charging 3 euros for a small pet bottle. The Drinks wending machine is not working and you need to buy from only those restaurants.

Amazing place it is like a village and offers everything (food, coffee, drinks etc.) I couldn’t say that the discounts worth the visit as it is an average 30% minus the initial price. You have to search a lot to find a real offer. It ils also really crowded but that is normal for a place like this. I couldn’t imagine that you have to pay parking fee (2€/hour!!!) in a city outlet where you go to spend money for sure 👎

The best outlet I’ve been to in Germany. Huge selection of stores and very very large campus to walk around. Loved it. Great deals and I love that they have a midnight shopping event once a month usually, where they stay open till very late at night.

Visiting Hohenzollern Castle was one of those experiences that really stays with you. As we made our way up and started walking around the outdoor observation areas, the view simply took my breath away. The valley stretches out endlessly, and from the castle walls it feels like you’re standing above the world. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop, breathe, and just take it all in. The castle itself is just as impressive as the scenery. It stands tall and majestic, with an atmosphere that carries centuries of history. Walking through it, you can almost feel the presence of the people who once lived there and the important role this place played. Every hallway and corner has a story, and when you step back outside to those sweeping views, it all ties together beautifully. I’ve seen a number of castles in Germany — each with their own charm — but Hohenzollern stood out in a way that felt different. It wasn’t just about the architecture or the history alone; it was the combination of both with its stunning location on top of the hill. That mix of breathtaking scenery and deep history makes it one of the most memorable castles I’ve ever visited. If you’re traveling in the area, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after you leave.

I loved how they still kept history alive for viewing and provided a free app guided tour. The shuttle to the castle from the parking lot, gift shops and bathrooms in both the castle and parking lot, and restaurants made the tour convenient. But the best parts were the view of nearby lands and beautiful artifacts.

This was a wonderful experience and this castle does not disappoint with sheer beauty located at the top of the mountain. I got lovely photos and videos. There is shuttle bus to the top and an app that gives you an audio tour. There are also many guides on site to answer questions and give you more history. There is a gift shop with beautiful souvenirs and an on site restaurant/bar/cafe. Well worth the visit and I recommend buying advance tickets which are slightly discounted. I also rented a super car on this trip and the drive from Stuttgart was scenic and so much fun in a performance car. Also recommend the drive.

This is a beautiful castle! It is very well maintained. The walk through is nice, and the museum area is really neat too. There's a beautiful outdoor seating area with a beer garden/restaurant. We had lunch and coffee there. We also visited with a baby, and read ahead of time not to bring a stroller due to stairs and tight spaces. So we used a baby carrier instead and it worked perfectly! This is a must visit castle if you're anywhere close in the vicinity. The view looking down is also beautiful.

One of the biggest castles in Stuttgart. This is well-maintained, and the shuttle bus is a great option for the elderly and those with mobility issues. But you will get the best experience if you walk to the castle from the bottom.

It was a unique experience from my side. After having parked the car, we entered to the museum and took the elevator to the top floor where you are going to start your journey. From classic cars to classic sport cars and from recent road stars to formula cars. I mean simply amazing. The most important thing to do in the city.

Beautiful garden + zoo which is so nicely maintained. The garden is spectacular. There is the cactus area which would mesmerize all garden lovers. The surroundings are well kept. The Amazon experience is amazing. The animals can be viewed closely, that's how the landscaping is done for their enclosures. Multiple restaurants are within the Wilhelma zoo. Not to forget some lucky ones even got peacock feathers. We visited on a Saturday with kids and it was a day well spent.

Huge place to visit, great value for money of you go on sight seeing. Wilhelma is both a botanical and a zoological garden with a great collection in both fauna. There are a lot of things to do for children (special places were they can climb and play) but as well as a lot of places to grab something to eat or a coffee or a … bear.

This was by far the biggest coolest zoo we've ever been to! Beautiful botanical gardens too! There's different microclimate buildings with native plants to those regions and the animals are out in their habitat when you walk through. We've never experienced anything like it, definitely the coolest thing we did while we were in Stuttgart! Parking was 8 euros, we spent 6 hours making our way through the park and could have been there even longer than that. We used the 3 day stuttcard that we purchased for entrance at the zoo. Well worth your time!

Wilhelma is an absolute must-visit and a stellar example of modern zoological care! From the moment you step inside, the entire park feels incredibly well maintained—a truly pristine environment. The focus on animal welfare is clear; the complex features very good, spacious animal sanctuaries that clearly contribute to happy animals throughout the exhibits. It's truly heartwarming to see the dedication of the staff, and it’s obvious there are a lot of workers enjoying their job, which adds to the positive atmosphere. A fantastic, ethical, and beautiful day out!

I have visited zoo and botanical gardens lot of time but the trip to Wilhelma was a unique experience. It is constructed such that to give a natural habitat to the animals while people can also experience how the animals of wild look like. You can see them real close through glass windows. This was a very unique experience. There are all kinds of animals and birds. Since I have been only one time, due to limited time, I couldn't visit the Amazon forest and botanical gardens. But I am thinking of getting a yearly pass next year. Amazing experience. The nature truly is amazing and beyond words.

I’m really looking forward to the opening of the two new wings, which will surely make the experience even richer. Highly recommended for all nature, education, and wildlife lovers!

All this green area , birds and animals is a joy of soul and eyes. Never had this much of calm in a very long time. I am happy that I visited it today. Note : I arrived at the gate and it was opened and none there , I stepped one foot to see where is the staff and a guy firmly asked me to step outside again. I didn't and showed him my ticket , he check it and then allowed me to enter. His behavior was so rude.

Such a cool experience to be able to go here, loved the interactive bits but the story telling could’ve been done better for Ferdinand Porsche’s life. Coming from my time in the Mercedes Benz museum down the road which did their story telling impeccably. Definitely go here though, would highly reccommend if you like looking at high horsepower monsters and multi million euro cars!

There’s parking on the streets nearby and some parking nearby the museum. Parking garage is also available nearby. Tickets may be bought online or in person. It is kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. There’s a souvenir store, a restaurant and more downstairs from the visitor center.

The Porsche Museum is absolutely incredible and a must-visit for anyone who loves the Porsche brand. The collection is stunning, with so many iconic cars from throughout Porsche’s history displayed in a beautifully curated space. From groundbreaking race cars to legendary road cars, every exhibit highlights the brand’s innovation and engineering excellence. My personal favorites were the Nurburgring record-breaking 919 Evo, which is breathtaking to see up close, and the Carrera GT, a true masterpiece of design and performance. The museum perfectly captures what makes Porsche special, and it’s well worth the trip for any automotive enthusiast.

This is a very nice museum. Lots of Porsche history is shown, special versions and good explanations via a mobile device with headset. I must admit that i only used it at the beginning, because some explanations are giving allot of info.you can also walk by and read the text.

Great experience. Amazing rides, great quality and not super crowded. The longest wait we had was 45 minutes and rode over 10 rides with 5 people in our group. The youngest being 4 and she only skipped 2 rides for being too small.

Tripsdrill is one of the oldest amusement parks in Germany, and it really has a very special atmosphere 🎡. It offers both modern roller coasters (like Karacho and Mammut) and nostalgic, family-friendly play areas. Since the park is set among vineyards, the natural scenery is very enjoyable 🍇. There’s a wildlife park and water play areas for kids, while adults can enjoy adrenaline-filled rides. You can also feel the cleanliness, organization, and German efficiency everywhere. In short, it’s a place that offers a full and fun day for both families and thrill-seekers.

Went to Tripsdrill with my Kids and we loved it. We slept at the nature resort in a wooden tree house, visited the animal park upon arrival and the roller coaster park the next day. We were very lucky with the weather as it was sunny and around 27 degrees. We visited on a Thursday and the waiting times were always around 5-10 mins only. The park itself is beautifully decorated and the staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Wonderful place to bring the family.. great price for tickets and Fiod and drinks.. very affordable and fun.. the only downfall,,, is they should stay open later than 6 o'clock. Kids are on vacation and and If you dont get there when they open then if its busy you won't get to do a whole lot.. so plan to get there when they open..

Tripsdrill is an incredibly well-designed amusement park with a great mix of attractions — from fun and gentle rides for kids to more thrilling ones for adults. The park is clean, charming, and full of character, with a really friendly and helpful staff. There’s so much to see and do, you can easily spend the whole day here without getting bored. A perfect destination for families and anyone looking for a fun day out!

A nice park with attractions for all kind of people enthusiasts of roller coasters or not. At many attractions the waiting time gone faster due to the nice decorations of the path to embarking zone. Very kids friendly. However, no English markings and employees don’t speak other language than German. I get it we are in Germany however if you want to attract more ppl from all over the world you should train your ppl to be able to have at least a basic discussion in other language. Pretty expensive services.

Tripsdrill, from a thrillseeker's perspective, is only worth a day for, and even half a day to hit all the major thrill rides, however rerides are advised if you ask me. Hals über kopf and volldampf should be done at the start of the day and come back to at the end because the STC really warms up, make sure you get the front and back. You can choose whichever row you want on all coasters apart from a few which have dedicated front row Queues. All Queues stay under half an hour so you don't need to rush about. There's also plenty of rides for the family Food, drink and merch are not insanely overpriced which is a breath of fresh air from merlin. The theming in the toilets is really odd and the general vibe of the park is very german, many odd animatronics and even a full blown zoo off to the side with a collection of European animals. I'd say it's worth coming to witness and experience the odd collection of rides here.

Beautiful small town surrounded by Black Forest (dense pine trees forest). This is one of the place which most of European senior citizens will come for their vacation. Almost all building, old and new, have beautiful facade and decorated with beautiful blooming flowers. Have variety of shops selling good products. For moslems, there are several halal restaurants and cafes established by Turks and Indian moslems.

A beautiful square with shops and cafes surrounding it. There is no fee to go here. There are fountains which go off and on, great for a hot day to run in and out of if you dare! A great place to wander the time away

Every of Europe's city possess squares / platz.... for the citizens to gather and celebrate.... Marktplatz Freudenstad is one among them.... Decorated with spectacular floral gardens enhance it's beauty. The square is surrounded by numerous restaurants supplying the local taste.... and of course a church open all the time for the public for personal prayers...without which no European towns exist.

Great for young children, very educational. There is a 30 minutes walk to the peak, but with the activities along the way it could be over an hour. There are toilets at the end of the experience which is included in the price. Alternatively, there is one before entering which takes euro coins and gives no change back. I found this annoying as I hate to walk around with coins in my pocket. There are playgrounds at the end of the experience for children for which there is a separate fee. I would recommend it for or with children, for adults it is just okay.

Great educational and overall experience. From the entry way a walkway with education and activities for children brings you to the main area with the treetop walkway. Once at the top of the walkway you'll be able to see to the horizon in any direction and there are helpful arrows signposting significant locations and directions. For the adventurous there is a quick way down for only 2€ At the base is a extensive play area for children. Overall a really good experience and very worth the entry fee.

Good easy hike for the family. Fun nature facts are scattered throughout the walk (Kids 6yrs and 4yrs) though there’s admission fee and additional fees for the slide and the playground, worth it for the experience. Costs I’m sure go towards the upkeep. Everything is well maintained. Note: Bring 2€ coins to use the slide.

A very cool place! We visited the Treetop Walk in the Black Forest and really enjoyed it. Since the upper parking lot was full, we hiked up through the forest - a pleasant and scenic trail that made the visit even more rewarding. If you prefer an easier option, there’s a convenient cable car from Bad Wildbad that takes you right to the top. The treetop walkway itself costs around €10 per adult and offers beautiful panoramic views over the Black Forest. It’s an easy, accessible path suitable for all ages. At the top, there’s also a fun spiral tube slide you can take down for an extra €2 - a fun touch, especially for kids (or adventurous adults!). Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Absolutely wonderful walk through the forest. The Treetop walk is both stunningly beautiful and peaceful. If you are going on a weekend, try to go a little before or after midday (fewer folks up there). The views from the top of the tower are long and majestic. The Bergbahn runs up from Bad Wildbad every 30 minutes on the 15th and 45th minutes. Along the walking path are fun activities and some wonderful little bird box/people are hanging in the trees waiting to be discovered.

This is so much fun and a very easy walk from the car park. It offers stunning views and the slide back down is so much fun! Do not miss!

Great days outing in black forest region. Awesome views and activities along the walk and a slide down once you get to the top (extra cost). Parking was easy. Hint - take your own picnic or sandwiches before you head back down.

Amazing museum to get lost. Plan plenty of time to be there. We stayed the whole days. The museum conditions of w giant halls, planes the roof trops, outdoor exhibition of tanks, planes, playground and amusement parc. We liked best : slide down of one of the planes, Concore& Tupolev, fastest car in the world " Blue Flame" Monstertrack, car of " back from the future".... In hall 1 you can find the IMAX cinema, museum shop, American dream cars, military tanks, planes, helicopters and other vehicles, aircraft hangar, organs and bicycle racing. Hall 2 is allabout motorracing, formula 1, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ralleycars, automobile from the beginning, 20s 40s 50s and modern automobile. On the rooftopyou find the Concord, Tupolev and the submarine.

What an incredible place. It's mind-blowing the exhibits on display. Wild, varied and so many !!! You can view it all in a few hours but for sure take a day out to go to this mind bending place. The Concorde and the Kondcordski Tuplolv tu144 are magnificent. Scary climbing up the stairs and the tilt is a bit steep but well worth going. The cars also , so many cool cars, from supercars, to pre war to hot rods. Exhibits on race cars, a cool display of F1 cars. They also have a Great shop . Deffo pace yourself and take time !! They also have another museum called technik Speyer ... That has the Russian Space shuttle the Buran !!!

Absolutely amazing experience, with the U-boat, Tupolev and Concorde as the major highlight. Do not miss this if you have the opportunity. Expect to spend between 2 and 4 hours. Good - experience some of the most amazing vehicles from up close. - build as an experience - there is actually too much too see - themed areas and some paid interactive displays.

One of the most fascinating museums l've ever been to because of its absolute mint condition of trains, planes and automobiles :) Expect to spend a few hours to a whole day to fully enjoy this huge museum! Very special to see in person was the supersonic airplanes …Concorde and Russian tupolev (Tu-144) and a real U-boat !! (Line ups may vary from 10min to 1hour) Great collection of Lambo’s, Ferrari’s and of course every classic German sports cars. Lots of outdoor parking (5.00€ ) Bonus: some of the special collection exhibits are interactive by putting 2€ coin fee which gives you a great real life example of a steam locomotive wheels in action with sounds, very impressive so just do it !

We've been wanting to go here for a few years as we passed it on the way to someplace else. So much to see and really loved walking inside the Concorde jet and the U boat. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but not too bad. Parking is 5 euros. Lots of cars, tanks, motorcycles and more. Great for a family to spend a half day and the playground was fantastic with rides too.

Great, but it could be so much better. There are some amazing exhibits here, but they're displayed in a ramshackle and random manner. Having the planes at stage angles must have seemed like a good idea (maybe after a beer or two), but I think they'd be better level allowing people to walk through easily and concentrateon looking at the interiors fully.. Information on some of the exhibits is sparse or cut-and-paste from others. It is certainly worth a visit, but it has the potential to be absolutely amazing.

Most fascinating museum I've ever been to. To actually enter a Concorde was a blast. Definitely spending a whole day the next time. Absolutely a family experience. Very nice staff. So much to see and explore.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Badewelt Sinsheim. The facility is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and everything is organized with great attention to detail. From the moment you step in, you notice the high standards they maintain across all areas. The facilities are world-class — from the relaxing palm paradise and themed saunas to the crystal-clear pools and quiet zones. I absolutely loved my time at Sinsheim Therme! From the moment we arrived, everything felt well thought out , the lockers, the comfortable seating areas, the spacious changing rooms, and the neatly organized showers made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The food was fresh and tasty, and spending the day here with my family was such a joy. We booked one of the beach-style chairs, which made relaxing even better, and I loved how organized everything was — no chaos, no confusion, just pure relaxation. It’s the perfect place to unwind, have fun, and enjoy a beautiful day together.

I had a great time visiting this place. There's truly something for everyone, both adults and kids. I appreciated their focus on privacy and ensuring everyone follows common decency rules without making customers feel uncomfortable. However, the prices are a bit high for what's on offer, and it was a bit crowded for my liking. We had to wait in several areas to enjoy the different pools. I also wish the wristbands were a bit sturdier. The ones we got dissolved in water, making it nearly impossible to remember your locker number after a full day of swimming, visiting the saunas and steam baths. Another area that could use some improvement is the front desk customer service. Apart from giving us our wristbands, they didn't spend much time explaining what there was to do or where everything was located. They just assumed we knew our way around.

I had very high expectations of this thermal bath but my experience was slightly disappointing. I've been to many thermal baths in Germany and other thermal baths were way better on several aspects. Vital and Sauna area: This area has been the most disappointing so far, there is only one crowded pool bar and an even more crowded tiny salt pool. Textile area: This area has one large pool and a few tiny overcrowded ones that we couldn't try because there was never any free space. Loungers availability: We had to book a double seat for 13 EUR, but for most other days only some outrageously expensive loungers were available (150 to 300 Eur). I've been to better thermal baths in Germany where such a lounger is only around 30-40 EUR instead of 200+ If you don't have a reserved seat, it can be difficult to find a place to sit. One thing I liked is that they have a few non reservable seats and they would clear your towels and belongings if you leave them on it while you're away. Food: Food can be a hit or miss, the chicken Thai curry was nothing like Thai curry and was barely edible. The chili con carne however was quite delicious. They do have some delicious dessert options and the food was not expensive and very beautifully plated. Water temperature: Water temperature was quite cold in my opinion, because a large part of the pool is outdoors and that probably affects the temperature of the water inside. It wasn't uncomfortable though. Air temperature was very pleasant and warm. Parking: Plenty of free parking spots were available. Showers and lockers: There very few showers so waiting times were quite longs and queues of 5-10 people were forming at times. Water temperature was good and the facilities were very clean. Sauna: One thing I loved was the cinema Sauna, you can watch a small documentary projected while inside the sauna. I didn't join any of the activities because the lines were insanely long which made the saunas fully packed. The steam bath was also really nice and the peeling options are amazing. Massage: Massages must be booked ahead of time. They also have some automatic massage beds but I couldn't find the cost mentioned anywhere. I think that's quite misleading. There thousands of real orchids and beautiful plants all over the pools, which was really nice. I'm not sure if I would come back again.

I’m 34 weeks pregnant and drove an hour to the pool, only to find that main pool is closed for renovations – with no notice online or anywhere else. This was a huge waste of time and energy. The indoor pool was uncomfortably warm and not refreshing at all. The outdoor pool area has nowhere to sit or relax, which makes it difficult to enjoy. Poor communication and poorly thought-out facilities. Not coming back. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Absolutely LOVED spending one of our first days in Germany here. We went on a Friday afternoon and probably will be back during the week when it won't be as busy. Would definitely recommend booking a private bed there for the day if you go as you're not allowed to reserve your own. The pool bar is super cute with delicious drinks and it's just a vibe. The B forced me to drop €10-20 on an unnecessary jacket rental; and was a snot about it. Reminded me of my first encounters in East Germany when The Wall was coming down. They thought of everything, but the people and what they might need. Walking away, I saw the Illuminati of the Casio Bar. What could go wrong here? They had everything, but a bartender; because the 3 or 4 of them were kind of in the back corner talking. No attention whatsoever to customers. As an afterthought, a bartender appeared. WOW. For the $$$$ they were charging I worried about buying dinner. Service = 5/10. Real nice place if you want to hold your mouth open, but if you came to play Blackjack or another game—you’d have more fun by a long shot at the Tampa Seminole Hard Rock Cafe (at half the cost). Not so cool. They have a lot to learn about taking care of the client. When I turned in my Jacket, Ms. N. Admissions was supervising the coat check lady with a specious, down-the-nose look. Really Surprised as was my darling. The surrounding promenade OUTSIDE OF THE CASINO was filled with Baden-Baden interest, history, and adventure.

Absolutely gorgeous.. a must visit in Baden Baden!!.. it has a 200 yr old history.. the interiors are just amazing.. you could do a tour for a small fee earlier in the day or just soak up the casino vibes after 3pm. Even if you do not want to gamble you can always just get a drink inside 😉

We visited the zoo on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. The nature is beautiful, lots of plants and flowers, especially now in spring when the flowers are blooming. The zoo is really big and you need a whole day if you want to visit everything, so it's great for a full-day trip with the family. We really liked it and will definitely come again. We loved the Gondola ride on the lake. We had a really nice experience and memories. Admission for children under 6 is free, a day ticket for adults costs €15 if you buy it at the box office.It's cheaper if you buy the ticket online because then you pay €14.

Located right in front of the main train station, this is a relatively small zoo that packs a big punch. Sure, there aren't lions or tigers, but the polar bears, elephants, hippos, chimps and many other charismatic animals make up for it tenfold. And while some of the exhibits could be on the older side, there are brilliant modern facilities, like the wonderful tropical house, that make a big difference!

Disappointed that the polar bears were not out and wonder if there are any. The water for the bears wasn’t clear or clean. Lots of trash in it lead us to believe there may not be any bear or bears. Visited the Karlsruhe zoo with friends and their kids which was an amazing find. The place is very nice, interesting, well maintained with lots of activities for kids of every age as well as adults. The exibits are well curated and the animals seem to be very well taken cared for. The ticket is 15€ per person which may sound a bit pricey but you have a tons of things to do. Overall this was a great find that I highly suggest to everyone, especially parents. If you don’t know what to do about your kid and feel a bit drained, take them to the zoo to roam around!

Several sections have been carefully restored, while others are intentionally kept as ruins, which adds to its atmosphere. You can visit a fascinating pharmacy laboratory museum inside, though access to the other interior areas is unfortunately restricted. The grounds include an enormous garden and provide breathtaking views of the city. Entrance fee is 11,00 € for adults. Walking through the castle and soaking up its centuries-old history was an unforgettable experience.

The castle is not big but has a beautiful winery, restaurant, small museum, beautiful facade, but most importantly an amazing high terrace overlooking the city. The tickets include a ride on the cable tramway taking you all the way to the tip of the mountain. A beautiful ride and nice view.

This castle truly has a mystic vibe to it! The red-brick theme, and the fact that its in ruins but still very well maintained adds to its appeal. Highly recommend visiting in fall/autumn as it looks super aesthetic with the green-yellow-red-brown leaves all around the magnificent castle! We didn't go inside but just taking a stroll around it and outside was super beautiful and makes for a good outing in Heidelberg!

Incredible experience! It went way beyond my expectations. I didn’t think there would be this much to see. My main reason for going was the Buran and Apollo exhibits, but I ended up really enjoying the other sections too. There are dozens of cars, motorcycles, and airplanes on display. You also get to see flown items from Apollo, Gemini, Shuttle, and ISS missions. Capsule parachutes, Shuttle parts, astronaut gear, and even a Moon rock from Apollo 15… Such an amazing collection. The Lunar Module looks almost exactly like the real thing, and the lunar suits are just as impressive. Absolutely a must-visit!

The service is absolutely perfect, the view, the experience everything is worth it but unfortunately the food is not that special. I would expect more from a michelin star restaurant. It wasn’t bad dont get me wrong, it just wasnt 1000€ good. Dubai, tel aviv and other cities with michelin star restaurants were just better food wise.

I found it a bit too pricey and the portions are tiny, even that it is the tasting menu. The food was very good, very artistic and service was very good, not too fancy. However, I would appreciate some local touch and use of more local products instead of constantly mentioning how their tomatoes came from the best Spanish tomatoes (where exactly in Spain lol) or some French vegetables or even more far away places. Wine by glass is too expensive too and wine pairing, consisting of 6 glasses of 100ml glasses is way too big for me, I would not be able to drink a whole bottle of wine alone.

Cocktails and other drinks were hard to come by - my sole cocktail was never offered for a refill, water refills were also rather slow. Only a few, such as the quail for main course was sub-par. It is a bit pricey and I must admit the experience, while very good, just didn't have the wow factor we were looking for.

Needless to say I was amazed with the beautiful panorama and the simple, yet sophisticated interior of the restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. Some of the ingredients were complete new to me (as I usually stick to me personally known recepies). Every course was presented in details by the competent and very polite and professional waiter. Special thanks to the waiter Mr. Wilhelm (I hope I rememmber correctly) who made our experienced so pleasant. With regards to the price, I would not say it is expensive. Very crowded all the time of the day. There are trains to all parts of Europe from this central station. The station is quite big and it is decently maintained. The trains I took from here were all on time. Even the S bahn can be taken from this station only

It’s well-connected with trains to all of Germany and Europe, and offers plenty of shops, cafés, and food options. It can get crowded and the area outside feels a bit rough at night, but overall it’s an efficient and impressive travel hub.

Historic beautiful station, it is very busy with 30+ railway tracks. You can buy souvenirs even late night at the railway station

According to recent rankings it even borders on being one of Europe’s better large stations. On the flip side, the station and especially its surrounding district have mixed reviews: many passengers mention crowding, hygiene issues (including unpleasant odours in some areas), and a part of the neighbourhood that feels somewhat rough after dark. If you’re passing through during the day with luggage and clear destination, it’s very serviceable and worth using. At night or if you plan a long stay in the area, just be a bit cautious.

Frankfurt Central Station is a large train station with attractive architecture and an impressive building. Fortunately, you can find various restaurants and services inside the station. Unfortunately, there are many beggars in the area who constantly ask for money and food. The station itself is relatively clean and organized, but unfortunately, the paths leading to the subway and lower levels often smell of urine. Also, using the restrooms requires payment, and another important point is that the platform (Gleis) for trains can change until the very last minute, so it's recommended to continuously check the platform information until your train arrives. Additionally, the DB information service is always helpful and answers your questions well, and I was satisfied with their service.

This is the main station that serves the Frankfurt city. S Bahn, U Bahn, trams and all long distance regional bahn and IC and ICE trains are staring and ending from here. Most of the officials speaks English and people are friendly. A safe location to travel solo. Always congested and full of people.

A stunning landmark right at the heart of Mainz! The cathedral is massive and full of history, with its beautiful Romanesque architecture and peaceful atmosphere. Walking inside feels like stepping back in time, with impressive stonework, chapels, and artworks to admire. The surrounding Domplatz adds to the charm, with plenty of cafés and shops around. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Mainz!

The massive pillars, soaring ceilings, and the way light filters through the stained glass—it’s like walking into a movie scene. Every corner tells a story. Peaceful yet majestic, this place leaves you in awe. If you visit Mainz and miss this cathedral, you’re truly missing out! ⛪✨

Beautiful cathedral. Lovely garden area as you come in. I was in a bit of a hurry so I was not able to figure out how to climb the tower but I hope I can come back sometime and try. Crypt was neat to see. Fun murals of gospel scenes above the clerestory level along the nave. Some interesting sid chapels to include one of the more vibrant colored crucifixion paintings I've seen in a cathedral.

I really like the cathedral — it’s even more beautiful than the one in Speyer. I adore the red stones and the many towers. It’s so happily situated within the rest of the city. I felt very happy in these surroundings.

Much larger than I thought. They have a “biggest bible” page there which isn’t that aesthetic but the rest of the cathedral is impressive. Definitely worth a stop.

The cathedral is beautiful. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and there was no wait at all and there was minimal people inside. Be careful if there is a service happening and be respectful of the space if so. There is a museum but I didn't go inside there. The architecture in the cathedral is worth the visit to come see. Be aware that as of may 2025 there is major construction happening on the outside of the cathedral so it is covered in scaffolding. Its free to enter the church but donations are welcome. Be prepared to translate most of the signage if you do not speak German. There is a wheelchair ramp going into the main section of the cathedral and the main cathedral floor is flat but all of the side rooms and passageways have steps and are not handicap accessible.

Beautifully curated museum with several original printed books, specially 3 bibles. A very good printed demonstration, from the making of the letters to the final printed page, both in English and German with a replica of the printing machine. Negative: A very unhelpful large and seated guardian next to the interactive picture box, most interested in moving people along than in helping with the experience.

You are given a card that lets you activate some of the exhibits, and at the end you can print your photo in the style of block printing onto the card. There is a demonstration of printing and the presenter gave interesting facts and was very knowledgeable.

Awesome experience of the Gutenberg museum and in excellent opportunity to see one of the Gutenberg Bibles. Actually four of them. It's absolutely amazing that these were the first books printed by the Gutenberg press. A worthwhile experience to visit this historic place. Highly recommend visiting the Gutenberg museum and seeing the original Gutenberg Bible. They are absolutely priceless books as every single one of the 47 of them are different because they were sold as separate pages and made into books by the buyers after they purchase them which we understand is the price of a home to purchase the pages back when they were newly off the press

It's a small museum but very well done. When I visited in Nov 2025 they had the word "Moved" in the name to emphasize that it's final location is under renovation and it is just temporarily adjacent to the natural history museum. Indeed I almost wandered into the natural history museum trying to find it. The first room had a 3D table of Mainz and narrated a story of his life (both in English and German). Indeed in spite of what some past reviews said, the museum seems to have stepped up their game and most descriptions were in both German and English. The main attraction, the two original Bibles we're well displayed and surprisingly uncrowded. I was able to go back two and study them.

1.5 hours was NOT enough. Didn't get to the demonstrations upstairs. (I visited the "Moved!" version in June 2025.) Anyone in graphic design, journalism or communications will appreciate the overarching themes and attention to detail. The Bibles themselves, and the additional works displayed alongside them, were presented very well and in an interesting manner.

The Gutenberg Museum is a fascinating and well-worthwhile visit. While I was a bit confused by the natural history aspect, I soon discovered that the main exhibition is temporarily located inside the Natural History Museum—a detail that, once understood, didn't detract from the experience at all. My primary interest was learning more about Johannes Gutenberg, and the museum did an excellent job of that. The exhibits are fantastic, especially the chance to see some of the first printed bibles up close. I also appreciated the use of modern technology to make the history more relatable, particularly the fun machine that lets you create a selfie with a printed page. My only regret is that I didn't get to see a demonstration of the printing press in action. Overall, it's a great experience and excellent value for money.

Valuable experience! The museum is really interesting: it’s a collection of ancient manuscripts, the first original examples of a few books (including the famous Bible 42), interactive news / videos and a display of objects related to the printing machine. You can even see how the printing process was developed in a practical “workshop”. Only one suggestion: if possible add English subtitles to the short films and try to make the demonstration of the printing press also in English (at least once).

Wonderful cable car ride from Rudesheim, views of vineyards and surrounding countryside, very peaceful but a bit chilly in the wind. A short walk to the monument, bit of a hill, but worth it. Amazing views of the Rhine and all around, the monument is massive, really impressive and the history (to read on placards) is very interesting. Nice little outdoor takeaway for drinks and snacks, note.. you pay a deposit for proper cups. Restaurant as well but didn't use it. A place well worth seeing!!

We had a good tour up here, we got the ring tickets which included cable car through the vineyard , chairlift and boat back. The view at the monument is beautiful totally worth it and the hike through the forest to the chairlift is good too.

Impressive monument, fun to ride the gondola up there. There is a little restaurant up there. Impressive views! It's worth going up to see. If the weather is good, it is a nice day. We had poor weather so we didn't stay long. You can ride the gondola down (keep your ticket) or walk down through the vineyards.

Lovely views up here, was on a Rhine tour up through here on the way back to Frankfurt. Amazing views on a blue sky day. One of the best views to end a day

We visited on a weekend in summer holidays. Took Cable Car to top of the hill. Waiting was around 45 mins. There is also a hiking path. You can either buy cable cat tickets one way or for round trip. Hike trial takes around 90 mins One can also directly visit the spot by car. To enjoy the view cable car is more recommended.

Nice castle but we hiked to ones that were better with no cost or minimal cost . Unfortunately it was under construction which is understandable but took away from the experience and some sections were blocked off. The museum was closed for 1 hour for a theatre show so we waited a while but felt we didn’t want to wait anymore. We thought it was over hyped in our opinion with the high reviews! It is hard not to get spoiled with so many castles around!

The views are delightful, and the room inside is pleasantly cool in hot summer. Burg Rheinfels is a great ruin castle to explore. I had fun learning about what it would have been used for and how all the rooms would have looked. The grounds can be uneven to walk and there are stairs. There are toilets available and a nice gift shop.

An amazing ruin. Great entry price and we were free to walk around even though lots of maintenance happening. Definitely worth a visit.

It was great experience to visit the castle (mostly ruined) and have an insight of what happened here during medieval era and after French war. There are several things you can see like the Europe’s largest cold store and beautiful view of Rhine valley at the top. It is mostly under construction due to repair work going on.

You can visit only few parts of the castle as it is under major renovation. What is really a must, if the weather isn't rainy, is the restaurant. The view from the terrace is simply astonishing!

Great fun explore this ruined castle. Lovely little museum. Tunnels were closed for bat roosting but still a nice visit.

Our tour guide was in Character as a British spie. He walked us through as if we were an invading army. The fort and its design is very impressive. The walls are 4 meters thick.

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress offers great views of Koblenz and the wider area. It's also good value, especially when you get the combined ticket with the cable car. The exhibitions are interesting, particularly the one on the fort's history and the archaeological finds, and the show in the excavation area was a highlight. However, the layout of the fortress is quite confusing and could use better signposting. It was also a shame that one of the media-focused areas was closed during my visit, and I also accidentally missed the wine exhibition. All in all, it's an enjoyable place to visit, but a better layout would certainly improve the experience.

Visited the fortress and the grounds outside, the fortress is massive, with so much to see, I didn't have an audio guide, this would have been beneficial, as a lot of exhibits only had an explanation in German. I believe a visit to the fortress, plus the cable car for 21 euros is a real bargain. Can recommend

Apart from the history and the view, there is nothing much to see really. Compared to the entrance fee is expensive. Just the cable ride alone with the view point is sufficient to see.

Pretty nice place to visit with great views. Expensive to get in especially considering most of the tunnels are closed and the museum section has limited hours. Still, worth the visit.

This castle isn't exactly a must-visit. It's actually a former barracks used by the German army in the late nineteenth century. 🚠 The funicular ride costs 15 euros and is a glass capsule with some dirty windows. The views are decent, but the ride isn’t comfortable at all. 💶 Entrance to the castle is 10 euros, but all you really get is a view of the Rhine. Most of the buildings are just empty concrete walls—there's hardly anything to see. 🧑‍🏫 It might be interesting for a historian studying the German army of that era, but if that’s not your thing, you can definitely find better ways to spend 2 hours and 25 euros. 🆓 Just a heads-up - entrance seems to be free after 6 PM, though there are no signs to inform visitors about that.

Great and large statue with huge area for people to stand, sit, walk by and eat/drink at the numerous food stalls in the vicinity. Nice place and area beside the Moselle (Mosel) river flowing into the Rhine river. Koblenz is very nice river city in Germany not very far from Border city Trier or the country Luxembourg by train.

Deutsches Eck is an absolutely stunning place to visit! The meeting point of the Rhine and Moselle rivers offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. The atmosphere is peaceful, and there’s a real sense of history surrounding the monument. The area is beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing walk or taking photos. If you are visiting Koblenz, this is a must-see place. It's in all honesty nothing that spectacular. The monument (covered elsewhere) is, but this is just a lovely bit of space, made extra special as it's the confluence of the two rivers. Just take time to appreciate the views of the water, the castle, and of course the (spectacular) monument.

It's worth visiting. You can see the colour difference of Rein and Mossel coming together at this place, go with a cable car to the fortress (a lot of expositions included in the entrance ticket. The view of Koblenz from the fortress is very nice.

Wonderful monument. The plaza has plenty of room to walk and position for photos. Food and drinks nearby as well as a few souvenir vendors.

Sixty-three steps to climb to the highest point of this humongous monument to Whilelm 1, which was much bigger than I thought it would be, situated at the land jutting into the confluence of the Rhein & Mosel Rivers. Wonderful views of the fortress, the Basilica, and the actual joining of rivers. A must/ see on Koblenz.
