Great museum, lots of stuff you can admire, from prehistory to modern times, it's exquisite. The only downside is that they don't have a ramp for wheelchairs and baby strollers and I had to carry the stroller everytime we encountered stairs.

Is one of the most beautiful buildings from Oradea, being in the center of the city. The theatre is in very good conditions, all the staff is very friendly. People can buy snacks while the actors are taking a brake and of course they can enjoy the meal during the play. The inside decoration and the own construction is really matching with the Budapest operetta with less seats obviously.

It will be one of the most beautiful city centers in Romania. I totally recomend a bakery that's right after the bridge as you go from the tram station. The zoo is very clean, well-maintained, and has a good selection of animals, including large species like lions and bears. I can't recommend this place for families with babies. You can use only 1 pool, and you can't sit next to your baby in the pool. You have to stand or sit on the edge of the pool. In other pools you can't bring in your child under 3. The buffet prices is okay, but I hadn't got my paid lángos, because they had to change the gas cylinder, and this took more than an hour, so we didn't wait for it. Anyway the pools are nice. We paid about 38 EUR for 2 adults and 2 kids, but the tickets included visits for the Andrássy castle too. I say it's a fair price. The castle is completely restaured, there is even a real blacksmith shop on site, where you can buy for about 3 EUR a lucky horseshoe with your name on it.

This castle exceeded my expectations! It was traditional, full of history but very modern (with the newest interior decor trends) at the same time. If you visit this place, you can learn a lot about the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries’ lifestyle and how people lived, worked and behaved, what the etiquette was how the children learnt, what fashion trends were impressive at that time. It can take 2-3 hours to see everything and I am not kidding!

Very nice exhibitions, both the long-term & the temporary also. The guide is very nice. The 3D rendered light painting on the building of the castle in the late evening hours is simply amazing! Nagyon szép és érdekes volt. I visited the castle in may,and really liked it.When you happen to be in Lökösháza,you are ought to stop and visit the Mures-Bréda castle,because you will find an interesting history. Thanks to european funds,the castle was brought back to its former glory a few years ago,and now it looks like new. I strongly reccomend it. Recomand să-l vizitați!

Wine producer location. Nice place, great view from the top of the hill. You can stay over night, get a tour of the winery, listen to the wine making process, from the owner itself if you catch him there. Lots of types of wine. The room was clean. The breakfast is simple, omelette, eggs, various salami, cheese, fresh vegetables, cereal, coffee, tea, water. We were with a group, had dinner which you can prebook, had the tour and wine tasting. The guesthouse is located at the base of a hill with their vineyards, so great positioning. As you climb the hill you can see up to Arad, plus the vineyards landscape. The food is good and in large portions. The service is nice. You have access to great wines and good prices directly from the cellar. The room had AC. We had a small incident regarding type of room which was quickly solved in a positive manner. The personnel is friendly. The rooms are quite basic, maybe a bit basic for the price. No fridge in the room. If you are alone at the guesthouse in small group, limited menu is available for meal.

The best wines from Transylvania are here. Good for families, couples or friends to stay eat, drink and enjoy the beautiful view. Reasonable prices for quality gold medal wines and delicious food.

I love going here, the only problem is that the big pool is kinda dirty in the shallow depth, but i really recommend this pool. After 16 pm the prices for adults are 17 ron, the same as the kids. The food is kinda expensive but the langoș are very good!!

One of the most beautiful and biggest public swimming pools situated near a river in the Eastern Europe. The water is very clean and the perfect temperature. The staff are all very helpful and loving for their job. There are also really nice restaurants in the area with amazing food. I highly recommend coming here for a good time in the summer.

We had a lovely afternoon here, came after 4pm so it was just €6 for two of us - kids under 7 are free. It was dead quiet, only about 15 people there, so unfortunately the slides were all off.

One of my favourite place in Arad, my hometown. If you take a brake on one of the benches situated at the front of the city hall, you can feel the pulse of the city, at any hour. Also, between 19:00 and 23:00 the motorcycles and the sport / tuned cars, are making their promenade! Love it!

Very nice wine store for bottled wine, I really enjoy their top brand section Solo Quinta as well as a few other fruity and sweet blends. While Solo Quinta is more expensive than usual, the sweet, coupe red wine blend which I also loved is around 20 lei.

Place looks amazing and they have a wine shop where you can buy bottles. They offer a short tour and if you set an appointment you can be served food and drinks. For groups of 5-6 people they make the appointments only during their opening hours but for bigger groups they are more flexible with the schedule.

A very nice river which pass through all Timisoara Town. To admire the places, and parks that are situated on both banks of the river you can take the public bus boat and make a short journey. The boats are new and modern. A good way of transportation!

Nice to have a walk on the shore, you can also take the boat bus but there are still some thinks that need improvements. Also Bega Boulevard it's a lovely event and in the summer you may enjoy a lot of restaurants on both sides.

The dirtiest and the most smelly river you can find in Serbia. To be even funnier there is no industiral waste, the main reason is that sewerage from the whole city with around 70k citizens, goes to this river, then via Tisza and Danube to Black sea where people swimming in our wastewater

One of the nicer things about Timisoara has to be its river Bega. Recently some things have changed but here's an update : 1) the closer you get to the central part of town, the more you'll be pleased aesthetically by the river banks. 2) good place to go by bike for a ride. Nice for long strolls. A good choice for runners also. 3) you've got many options when it comes to food and drinks as far as I am concerned 4) plenty of parks near it that you can explore if you chose to do so 5) activities such as kayaking are out for now because city council has put in a new transportation system in place (small boats up to 50 people i think) that I can't be 100% objective about because some restrictions have been put in place now on water sports on the river so I'll let you make up your mind on how you feel about it. 6) fishing is possible if that's something you enjoy 7) further plans on enhancing aesthetics are in place and on going.

A truly enlightening experience! The Museum of the Revolution in Timișoara provides a powerful and authentic insight into the events of 1989. The exhibition is engaging and easy to follow, and the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the city’s and Romania’s modern history.

As a Hungarian, I very highly recommend visiting this place! Whether you were already alive to watch the Revolution on TV or not, this place reminds of what the communist block, and especially Romania was like, and how the people rose up against oppression. Great detail is devoted to all topics before and during the Revolution, both in English and in Romanian. The exhibit is not very interactive, but gives unparalleled insight into a major historical milestone in Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of lessons to be learned about today's politics. Overall, a very impactful and meaningful exhibition, highly recommended! Without watching the documentary, we spent almost 2 hours walking around here, and I even went back to buy a photo ticket. Oh also the guy at the entrance was really welcoming and helpful, and spoke excellent English! (I'm not sure why I keep highlighting this, we never had any language trouble in Romania during our visit. ;) )

I didn't know what to expect from the museum and it was really hard to find as well (the entrance can be reached from Strada Paul Chinezu) but once I got in and got to meet Michael, who was working there, he really made my visit worthwile. He was very knowledgeable and willing to show me the museum around and answer all my questions. His positive attitide had a positivr effect on my visit. The museum can be done quite quickly but there is also extensive amount of text and info also in English for those interested to dive in the subject. It was cool to see actual items donated from that time and I learned so much about Romanian history and the revolution.

Had the chance to explore the memorial and was genuinely impressed. Got a warm welcome from a super friendly staff member who explained everything clearly in great English. You can tell the team has put amazing work into setting up the place, it’s thoughtful, moving, and informative. It’s a bit tricky to find, tucked away through a strange little path, but definitely worth the effort once you’re there. A meaningful visit.

I really enjoyed my visit. It’s a great reminder of what people have had to do to gain freedom, as well as the absurdity of autocracy. They have a mix of informational panels (sometimes heavy on detail), art pieces/installations, and photographs. One of the highlights for me was the photograph collection upstairs. They look like us. And kudos to the guy at the front. He put up with my 20 minutes of questions and, being a historian, he had great answers.

Piața Unirii is a lively, picturesque square with colorful buildings and a relaxed vibe. I heard a lot of Serbian spoken around, and it genuinely felt like being in a small Serbian town. Great for a stroll, a coffee, and soaking in the blend of cultures.

After visiting many other cities I can still stay Piata Unirii stays on top of the list! I like a lot the refurbishment of the old buildings around the Piata Unirii that brings a lot of character to the area. There are a variety of caffes and terraces all around if you're planning to spend one day around! The service,food and hospitality won't disappoint you!

The park is big and was transformed into a huge space for the festival this week 😍 I am so glad we got to experience this beautiful cultural and diverse experience during our 5-day stay in Timişoara 🥰 There were people from all ages, families, and lots of talented artists 🤩 There were also food trucks lined up on the street before going in the park so I am super happy I got to eat more Romanian food too 🥹 The park is clean, well maintained and very relaxing for walks or runs or spending time alone or either family/friends. I highly recommend to visit it and wander around 😊

We visited in early April, which was too early for roses to bloom (but other flowers were in full bloom all across the city). Still, it was obvious that this was well designed park and popular place. The park is located just minutes from the city center, on the beautiful bank of the Bega river. Also, the street leading to the park has beautiful trees which were on full bloom when we visited.

This was one of my favourite mud holes in Romania. Personally, I’m glad they cleared away all the roses because they were likely ruining the view of all the mud. I appreciate Timisoara is known as a garden city but I’d gladly support its transition to the nations favourite building site for 2026.

It's a small park in the city center. There are lots of roses to admire, but most are small, and very few are perfumed. When you're surrounded by roses, you'd expect rose perfume.

It's a cute park. My friend who lives there mentioned that there were a lot more roses in the past and now the local authorities are putting effort into rehabilitating it so that it can live up to its name again.

PLUS - in general Timisoara city is beaitiful and worth visiting - the city center is amazing full of interesting places. Timișoara is a masterpiece, multicultural city with a rich architectural heritage and a forward-looking spirit so if you will have time just go there.
