Park
The Wolves of Chabrières Park offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with these fascinating and often misunderstood animals. Visitors can observe the entire pack of grey wolves in their spacious enclosures, providing a captivating experience. The park also features a museum and other animals like alpacas, peacocks, goats, llamas, and pigs. It's a great place for both young and old to enjoy a leisurely walk around the area while learning about these incredible creatures.
Excellent center for all ages. Really great venue with something for everyone. A nice little shop with drinks and snacks too. Somewhere to sit and have lunch, or take part in any of the many activities on site. Really enjoyed the animals, and of course seeing the Wolves.
Tristan T — Google review
Amazing for kids and adults. The wolves are incredible. Such a nice place and the petting area is amazing!! My 3 year old loved it but the paths are not for prams so don’t bother with one!
Steven C — Google review
Great place to visit for young and old alike. As well as multiple enclosures for the wolves there are plenty of other animals to see. There are goats and llamas as well as pigs. You can enter the enclosure for the goats. A slow walk around the sloped oaths takes 60-90 minutes.
Paris H — Google review
I absolutely loved it. Wolfs seemed to be fine, they had food and fairly good size areas for each packs. Some of the wolfs were really curious and some quite nervous. I wonder how those dears manage to be so close to the wolfs, hear and smell them all the time. Nice walking path around the area passing by the fences. Some wolfs came right to the fence very close to see me walking alone. Some of the peaking windows were so dirty that you could not get good photos thru them. There is aire in the parking lot where you can sleep in a motorhome, it was interesting to hear the howling.
Marjo — Google review
Love this place! At the beginning we were greeted by some incredibly friendly sheep and had such a lot of fun feeding them. As we started looking for wolves the first couple enclosures seemed very quiet but as we carried on we managed to see the entire pack of grey wolves and from there it became much easier to spot them and they were so fascinating to watch! There’s also a little museum here which is interesting for a 20min walk around and other animals like alpacas and peacocks. All in all a great afternoon.
Poppy M — Google review
Always great to visit the Loops of Chabriéres. We hadn’t been there for a few years, Covid etc. so we decided to visit. Great petting farm and the wood walks were excellent as well. A really hot day but we saw numerous wolves, including 4 cubs. Stopped for an ice cream and cold drink at the cafe. A lovely visit.
Ian M — Google review
Great experience. The wolves were a little lethargic but we still enjoyed the park. Clean toilets too and a gift shop
Alan H — Google review
Interesting if a little upsetting, the fox worried me well after the visit walking frantically in circles. I assume because in an open environment it could smell the wolves who are above it in the food chain. My assumption nay be wrong, but I do not see the need for the fox and its cub to be there.

Labyrinth Geant des Monts de Gueret

Mentioned on
2 lists
Amusement park
Fun & Games
Labyrinth Geant des Monts de Gueret is a fantastic destination for both adults and kids. The main attraction is the maze, which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, visitors can enjoy various fun games in the tree area, suitable for all ages. There's also a cafe serving light food and drinks at reasonable prices. Additionally, there are picnic areas with options like chips, paninis, and ice creams available.
A really great place to go with children of all ages. Good for adults too. Very welcoming. Great giant games to play and places to picnic. A cafe/bar for refreshments. Only €8 for entering the maze. The lady who explains the maze is wonderful. Full of energy and enthusiasm. We were 5 adults and two teenagers and had a great time.
Helen G — Google review
Great place for adults and kids alike. You do the maze first which takes 45 mins to 1hr 15 mins. Then there are a load of fun games in the tree area, some are skill based and some luck games. They are great for kids and adults and it takes about 90 minutes to complete. There is a cafe serving light food and drinks. Very reasonable cost for entrance. €8.00 for adults and €5.50 for children. Certainly worth a visit for a bit of fun.
Paris H — Google review
Labyrinth is a-maze-ing! Very large and tricky maze to escape from. Give yourself at least 30-60 minutes to try and find the way out. Take some water or juice with you as its very hot and thirsty work!
Des S — Google review
So much fun! There’s more here than just a maze and if you have little kids this is a great day out! For teens/adults it may be a shorter trip but there’s still plenty to see including a (very very small) farm, bare foot walk, cafe, big games and a swamp board walk which is rickety but surprisingly beautiful. Definitely a one time thing but a great way to spend the afternoon!
Poppy M — Google review
Great place to visit. Did the escape rooms which was challenging and great fun. Very nice and helpful staff. Coffee/ice cream/drinks shop. Will be going another time to do the maze and spend some time playing the outdoor games with the grandchildren. Would be a nice place to spend an afternoon.
Jennifer A — Google review
Brilliant fun....the biggest I've visited so far 🙂
Mr K — Google review
Nice day out... takes on average about an hour to complete. Bring hats etc in summer months. (And bug spray, especially near the petting farm bit). Arrive before 12noon and you'll probably have an uninterrupted exploration. Needs alot of TLC and could be an awesome tourist trap!! Chips, paninis and ice creams served in picnic areas. More toilets needed. Pretty good over all.
John D — Google review
You get a set of questions to supposedly help you find your way through the maze, which seemed like a nice concept at first. But we soon found out that it doesn't matter which route you take because you always end up at another question. At one point we were going in circles between 4 of the questions, we tried every path around those 4 but nothing helped, until we decided to trace back to where we started. Eventually we went out the entrance to the maze instead of the exit because we had been walking for three hours and we were done. Maybe it's better if you can take one of the cards with French questions, but the one option in English they had is absolutely terrible. Not a recommendation.

Beautiful views of the confluence of the rivers. You can spend as long as you like. You are able to climb to the top of the tower which adds to the experience. A beautiful part of the Creuse, well worth a visit.
Lee K — Google review
This is a very picturesque area, as you can see from my photos. The castle is on top of a hill and there is a tour you can download, both for adults and children (scan the QR code on the castle notice board). We didn't go in, as we didn't have good shoes for walking up and down rocky paths and it was very hot! There is a cost for entry but we didn't check the cost on this occasion. There is a bar / restaurant next door with very friendly staff (they speak English) and amazing views! Further down the road there is an area you can swim from, canoe, paddle board etc. This area is definitely worth a visit!
David M — Google review
Lovely ruin but unfortunately you have to pay to view. Lovely views from the surrounding countryside and there are some paths on the otherside of the river which you can follow.
Sasha T — Google review
Great place to visit uneven ground and slippery when wet
Michael B — Google review
Loved the ruins. The kids really enjoyed being able to go “all areas” throughout. One of the towers takes you all the way up and it is a great vista. We really enjoyed wandering around at our own pace and the relaxed nature of the site. Thoroughly recommend this place! The boulangerie in town is worth a visit as well!
Tristo M — Google review
We were actually going to the lake but because of work being carried out we couldn't make it that far, so decided to stop at the Fortresse. What a truly beautiful area this is and it was enhanced by the sun, not warm enough to go without coats but comfortable. We set up our picnic table and emptied the lovely picnic basket that had been filled to the brim with all sorts of goodies supplied by Suzanne Manning at Celon. We had a view of the ruins of the fortresse and the valley and wooded hills around. We raised our glasses to each other, Happy Mothers day and looking forward to future visits to the stunning countryside near where we live.
Elaine W — Google review
It is ruins but a lot remain. The river runs on both sides. It is a beautiful place.

A pretty old building right next to Castle Sarzay. A friendly elderly couple welcomed us , we felt at home in the house where we could use the kitchen for tea etc and enjoy the surrounding gardens. It is very nice .
Katherine B — Google review
Wonderful old remains of a fortified chateau, access to all floors including roof space which is spectacular for its rafters and construction. Very atmospheric countryside, can imagine that it hasn't changed much in 500 years. Well worth the 7 euro entrance fee.
Clare — Google review
A lovely 14th Century castle with period furniture and tools just left in it. Very authentic like the people just left it in a hurry. A great look back into history and only 7 euros to enter. We were there for about and hour but we'll worth a visit. We had the place to ourselves and were just left to wander with an information sheet which comes in all languages.
Nev D — Google review
Beautiful place, next to the castle of Sarzay, which you can visit. Our hosts were super friendly, the breakfast very nice, the room and beds comfortabel. I can only recommend this place to spent a night
Kiona L — Google review
This place is magical...a step back on time, the owner is sympathetically restoring the chateau and Chapel to its former glory. There's so much to see, from the armory to the magnificent tower tops. Definitely worth a visit.
Wyld F — Google review
Really classic castle, nice to visit. Entrance is paid (adults €6, kids €4) you get a short description (several languages available, like english, Dutch, French,...) and you can visit the site freely. Walk around the area and visit the castle itself. It consists of 4 big towers, and an extra tower containing the stairs. On all 5 levels there is a lot to see interesting and... A little less interesting. Also you can visit the small chapel. Great view and nice work on restoring the whole castle. We (2 adults and kid) really enjoyed the visit!

House of George Sand

Museum
Nature & Parks
Manor house with surrounding buildings & gardens, home to a revolutionary 19th-century author.
I went here in 2022, but never left a review on it. However, here it is now as I've remembered. 5 stars because of the beautiful scenery, history, and overall peaceful vibe of the place. There are just a few things to keep in mind if you are a foreigner. (Well, much like me.) FOR THOSE PLANNING TO GO: 1. They don't really speak English 2. Getting here is a bit difficult, as the language barrier kinda gets worse and worse, but it's definitely doable. 3. If you join a tour guide around the house, she (at least in our case) will not speak English. 4. You CAN get your own copy of George Sand's published works! (SIDENOTE: To get to Nohant in the first place, you will be dropped off in the middle of a field, with a small sign. Nohant does NOT have a big entrance to the town) OVERALL: Should you go? If you are a fan of Chopin and George Sand's lives together, yes. However, it is also best that you look up Sand's children, Solange And Maurice. Just knowing their backgrounds will be useful, and will make your expereince better. If you aren't a fan of Chopin and Sand, you might find it boring. (The blue room in the pictures below is Sand's room, where she died.)
Gwen ( — Google review
Fantastic visit where we've been under the spell upon arriving in this well-preserved village, with its small Sainte-Anne church and its red-tiled roof and then, just a stone's throw away, the large gates of the property ... At the end of the courtyard behind the round flowerbed and its large tree, the house: we visit successively on the ground floor, the dining room where the table is always set and where Chopin, Liszt, Balzac, Flaubert, Mérimée, Delacroix, Alexandre Dumas fils sat... By the staircase and the corridors decorated by Maurice Sand, we go upstairs: the cabinet of curiosities, Chopin's room that George had transformed into storage after their break-up, the blue room with walls and hangings with Louis XVI medallions, where George Sand lived her last moments. Finally, Maurice's small theater where people enjoyed playing and singing on winter evenings. A true treasure trove for all fans of the author and of Frédéric Chopin, who composed a large part of his work here. Don't forget to pay your respects at the author's grave...
Enjoy L — Google review
Stunning location stunning house. Downside is you get a tour of the house in French which is absolutely epic... hard if you don't speak Frenchand you be then be standing around for an hour and a half. I don't understand why they not let you just walk around or at least have an English guided tour. The marionette exhibition upstairs bookshop is free. Closed between 12 and 2 restaurant opposite little church has an amazing tart tartin but is very expensive. If you go on a Thursday the little cafe in the house grounds has a nice affordable menu.
Iris B — Google review
We enjoyed a pleasant walk around the grounds whilst waiting for the house to open. There was not much information on how the tour would be conducted and we were not made aware that the entire tour would be accompanied by a French native who did not speak English. You were not able to walk around the house unattended and the narrative given by the guide in each room, was extensive, which would have been really interesting if our understanding of French was more extensive. We did escape along with quite a few other non French speaking visitors, when the tour went upstairs, so sadly we didn’t get to see the top floor of the property. We felt that if there was an option for either an electronic audio guide or an app that linked to an audio guide for that particular property, it would have enabled us to enjoy the details of all aspects of the property and it’s various historical inhabitants.
A G — Google review
I was fortunate to be taken here by my local guide and enlightened regarding the life and legacy of George Sand. I visited this beautiful site and grounds in 2024 and thoroughly recommend it. The tours are in French, and as my abilities in French are elementary at best, there is an English brochure they will lend you to carry along on the tour that gives the background of each room on the tour. Truly a fascinating monument worth a visit if you find yourself in Central France. Merci!
Batwood — Google review
Nice in depth tour but only in french. Very nice tiny village with an old church so there are more things to see than just the house. Very good souvenir shop with lots of books on Sand, Chopin ,Liszt.

Château de Valençay

Mentioned on

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Château de Valençay is a Renaissance estate featuring a grand château adorned with Empire, Louis XVI, and Regency furnishings, as well as an opulent mini-theatre. Despite being slightly secluded from the renowned Loire Valley palaces, it stands out as one of the most impressive. The castle boasts meticulously maintained French-style gardens near the main structures and a more traditional English-style park further away.
Beautiful well furnished and preserved castle, it was great visiting over the holidays, every room had an xmas tree. There was also a Harry Potter Lego expo on which turned out to be more interesting than expected.

A great Chateau steeped in history. I enjoyed the self guided tour which was full of information. A pity that the cafe was very lacking and awful machine prepared voffee instead of nice cafe au last
Andrew T — Google review
There weren't any crowds. The gardens don't give a good impression as they look unkempt. The house itself on the inside needs renovation but obviously it's an expensive thing. The roof appears to be new and that is an very expensive thing to do. However I won't be grudge them the entrance high entrance fee as I hope the money goes to restoration work.
Motorhome Q — Google review
The highlight of our visit to Château de Valençay was the tour of the equestrian stables. We learned about the rich history of the estate’s horses, watched an impressive training session, and witnessed the remarkable bond between the horses and their trainer. We even had the chance to feed one of the horses—a truly memorable experience! The château itself is beautifully designed, with elegant architecture and stunning gardens that make the visit well worth it. There are numerous rooms to explore, each offering a glimpse into the grandeur and history of this remarkable place.

Interesting. Needs work. A little run down. Looking forward to the gardens. In August they're pretty much dead. All brown and dried out. The worker in the Château said tjey do not water them.

Lovely place to visit. There are a lot of things to see there. You can still see how a lot of the things were used before. Like the cave where they used to store ice to keep things cool in the summer. On the inside, there was lots of the original furniture. But you could also see clear signs of long-term lack of maintaince. But over a place, you must visit. The staff was friendly and spoke English. And there was an audio tour available in several languages.

The building is stunning, the gardens not so. Looking very tired and unkempt they could do with a lot of work, just to tidy them up. The house inside also looking a bit shabby and probably needs millions of euros spending on it. Nice to wander round and imagine how it must have once looked. All in all a disappointing visit.

Les Nuits Lumière is a captivating evening experience that takes place from June to September in Bourges. During this time, the city's stunning Gothic and Renaissance landmarks, including the Cathedral, Jardin de l'Archeveche, Hotel des Echevins Palais, and Palais Jacques-Coeur are illuminated with magnificent projections accompanied by music.

(Translated by Google) I have been coming to admire the Nuits Lumière route in Bourges for several years, and I am always amazed by the beauty of the illuminated city center. However, this year, I was a little disappointed: the Cathedral was almost not lit and several street lamps, usually blue, were lit in classic light, which takes away some of the magic. Some hidden places, previously open with projections, were closed, and the mapping scenes presented are the same as two years ago. Coming from another region, I would have liked more new features, even if the whole remains magnificent.

(Translated by Google) Very very disappointing. I have memories of the Blue Nights from a few years ago as being much more interesting and a real spectacle. This one is basic, the sound is inaudible, the animated monuments are not "wow" except for the wall in the Archbishop's Park and the JC Palace. And which lights should I follow?? The ones on the ground or the street lamps??? In short, I won't be back.

(Translated by Google) Today, Thursday June 27, I went to the square behind the Bourges town hall - Place Étienne-Dolet to see the nighttime video projection - the nights of light. It turned out that the video that started at 10:45 p.m. was only less than 10 minutes long. Additionally, the bright light from the projection lamp for the projection cathedral was extremely affected viewing. Overall, the editing of the content was also quite messy, not specifically linked to the theme or the "bear" image (The animal is also a particular symbol for Bourges since it is the emblem of the Duke of Berry) on the advertisement. The visual content fails to tell the historical story of Bourges and the symbolism of the bear. The projector lights in the square were too bright and could not display the video clearly. I am very disappointed with this show program.

Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Bourges Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Stephen, is a UNESCO World Heritage site constructed between the 12th and 13th centuries. This Gothic masterpiece boasts stunning stained glass windows, painted chapels, and a large crypt containing the tomb of Jean de Berry. The cathedral's rapid completion in just 35 years was intended to showcase French royal power. Visitors can climb La Tour de Bourges for panoramic views of the city.
Absolutely awesome cathedral that you should not miss if you ever come to Bourges. Also, the surrounding old town is worth a visit. If you are disabled, be aware that the streets are steep with a lot of cobblestones.

Out of all the cathedrals that we have seen so far in our trip, this was one of my favorite ones! It's breathtaking and unique. The way the columns are made gives you the impression it's drawn with a pencil. It was absolutely worth the detour!
Elana P — Google review
The Bourges Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic art and harmony. Its towering arches, intricate stained glass, and serene atmosphere inspire pure wonder. Every detail feels alive with history and faith. The view from the towers over the old town is magical. A visit here leaves you deeply moved and full of admiration.

Beautiful Cathedral This is a great holy place to visit. Fantastic & Iconic building in the heart of Bourges. As usual in France this Cathedral is very old. Around 800 years. It is well worth your time to visit and admire the amazing architecture both inside and outside.
Paul V — Google review
There is a good history of the cathedrale at the entrance. This one isnt shaped like a cross but has a real 2nd and 3rd story balcony that can be visited on weekends in the summer. You can also visite the crypt and underground chapel all year round with a guide. Ask at the entrance booth.
Sophie T — Google review
The architecture is absolutely impressive, it is among the most beautiful cathedrals visited, gorgeous on the inside but the outside does not disappoint either.
Sasha — Google review
Bourges cathedral is a must visit. We went in the morning between 8 & 9 when the light from the east perfectly lights the cathedral from the gardens. It is also very quiet and peaceful. It is extremely grand with many arches.

Maybe this is the most beautiful cathedral I’ve visited since now. The interior of the cathedral is imposing and spectacular, with wonderful stained-glass windows. The crypt is well worth a visit; it must be booked in advance and is usually combined with a visit to the Jacques Coeur Palace.

Palais Jacques Coeur

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Palais Jacques Coeur is a stunning 15th-century Gothic palace commissioned by the wealthy merchant and treasurer to King Charles VII, Jacques Coeur. This lavish residence predates the Renaissance chateaux of the Loire Valley but rivals them in elegance and opulence. The palace features intricate carvings, a galleried courtyard, spiral staircases, steamrooms, private apartments, servants' areas, and a treasure room.
Definitely worth a visit, really well conserved and interesting. I've enjoyed It a lot!
Alessandra P — Google review
This is quiet unique and huge. It was a private home. But the owner was even richer than the king. And exact that's it how it looks - posh. But the selfguided tour, I recommand the audioguide for 3€, is it worth. The rooms are mostly clean, but some are really nice painted or have wooden ceilings. You have to climb a bit stairs, but take your time. I spend 2 hours, but 1 hour is absolutely makeable to see all rooms. If you want deeper info to some points the guide has a green button, I didn't used it, but its surly your chouce🙂.
R. A — Google review
Although I don't know much about architectural styles, I know about this palace that it fascinated me. The beauty of the facade of the inner courtyard simply takes your breath away. I went to visit it on a Thursday morning, I don't like it when it's crowded, I love to admire these beauties in peace. The price was €8. Although there is not much furniture in the palace rooms, it makes up for it with architectural details that are amazing. I couldn't wait to open the next door and be amazed by the beauty that surrounds me.
Sasha — Google review
Exquisite palace, big and lavish. Unfortunately only sad thing is that you can see architecture and building materials but all the rooms are very empty, some places have a few furniture items, some only pictures of objects, so the space seems too unoccupied, other than that it is a marvel!
Tormi V — Google review
The rooms aren't decorated with furniture and art. However, for us, we felt it would have distracted us from the real gems of the palace. Which is the architecture and carvings. You need to look closely to spot some of the carvings.
Motorhome Q — Google review
A beautiful monument to visit and discover through a one hour guided tour. The Palace is huge and only a part of this rich house can be visited. Sculptures, wooden cellars, impressive xvii century murals, ancient floors... The particularity of this place is that it results in a mix of a lot of architecture styles. It's a rare example of civilian 'gothique flamboyant' in France. Really worth to enter, even if the streetside wall is already very well decorated and remarkable for its original stone sculptures.

Château de Cheverny is a grand 17th-century country mansion located in the charming village of Cheverny, amidst the renowned châteaux of the Loire Valley. This captivating chateau is famous for its unique Renaissance style architecture, blending classic Renaissance and French medieval elements with influences from Italian design, courtesy of Leonardo Da Vinci. The ornate interiors and landscaped gardens, including stunning tulip gardens, make it a must-visit destination.
Chateau de Cheverny is a gorgeous chateau in the Loire Valley that has been in the same family for 600 years. The interior of the chateau was lovely & interesting. The beautiful gardens were whimsical with many fun exhibits for children & adults. We had delicious chocolate cake & cappuccinos on the terrace of the cafe. There was free parking at the chateau & when we visited the end April it was not overly crowded. This was one of our favorite chateaus.

Legendary & Iconic Castle Cheverny is one of my favorite castles as it is first beautiful but is also as this unique access to boat rides which make it really nice for families. The castle itself is just magical. This is a definite recommendation from us, we really enjoyed it!

Beautiful castle with very nice and large gardens. Our children enjoyed seeing lego exhibitions in the castle as well as treasure hunt and a maze. Even though we visited on a Sunday in August, there were no big crowds and the whole experience was very pleasant.

Beautiful castle still privately owned and lived in. Bests part is that it still holds original furnishings to admire throughout. Many gardens to walk through and you can also visit the hunting dog kennels and watch them get fed. Gift shop available for souvenirs.
Alan Y — Google review
Hands-down, my favorite chateau in the Val de Loire. Why? Most comfortable, most welcoming, most like somewhere I could see children growing up. What else? The family that owns and still lives on the property is kind, generous and friendly.
Aubrey B — Google review
Château de Cheverny is elegant and beautifully preserved, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is richly decorated and feels very much alive, as the castle has been continuously inhabited by the same family for centuries. The gardens are also lovely, and the visit gives a true sense of refined French heritage.
Mirela P — Google review
Wonderful both the interior and the gardens. We were not lucky enough to see how the dogs were fed. The visit was on a Saturday and visiting the interior of the castle was difficult, many visitors. The ticket costs 15€/ person 10.05.2025

The castle is not very big, but it is worth visiting. And the surrounding park is huge, clean and has a lot of flowers and special landscapes. It's a shame that we didn't catch the impressive tulip cordon in May. However, I would suggest to those who take care of the castle that during visits they leave some windows open. When we visited it, it was very crowded inside and very hot. Otherwise, everything was wonderful!

We had an amazing day here. We only planned an hour and spent all afternoon here. Lots of interesting facts and amazing information Special thanks to Charbel for his tour around the radiotelescopes. We thought he was brilliant. Do everything it was a real treat. Thankyou.
Lucy G — Google review
I am giving this 4* when I would so much like to give it 5*. We are from the UK and have been to Jodrell Bank and the Planetarium. As we were staying nearby this was an obvious choice for us as we are interested in the sky/stars and technology. It is the 4th largest radio telescope in the world. We looked round the exhibition which had alot of things to view. Our issue is we speak very little French and assumed that there would be some information in English. We are wrong to assume this and should, I know, make more of an effort to learn more French as we holiday here a few months each year. Also in the Planetarium experience only half of the show did we have an ear set which was in English. A young and obviously knowledgeable gentleman then continued with the remainder of the tour. Again in French so we only picked up snippets. So, in summary, if you are English you need to be fully conversant in French to get the best out of this visit. We will be taking French lessons when we get home! If we are ever nearby we will definitely return to gain the best experience.
Carolyn D — Google review
Small planetarium with science exhibition. And a COLOSSAL radio telescope within view that you can watch on a guided tour!. It's worth a visit for sure if you like science (but why else would you end up on this page? )
Funke E — Google review
Not a review, just a question…when driving through Nancay the mobile phone signal was completely dead…is that something to do with the radio telescope?
Adrian W — Google review
Well after reading some of the reviews on here we were unsure whether to go into the visitor centre or not, we did and I’m so glad that we did, the couple at reception were very friendly and both spoke some english, they even arranged for us to have an English guide in the planetarium, The planetarium itself was in two parts, the first with the guide giving us a little explanation in english, for the second part we were provided with audio headsets with English narration. All in all a very well worth experience and good value. Take note, no mobile phones or other wifi devices are allowed, we left ours in the car, there is no 3g4g signal anyway.
Tony E — Google review
Wonderful experience - we had phoned before our visit and an English speaking member of staff was there to meet us. He gave us the Planetarium talk and a tour of the telescope site. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions very clearly. Would definitely recommend for anyone with an interest in astronomy.

Beautiful castle - like from fairy tales. Very interesting show with horses - some history of the castle and France presented in a playful way. Lots of gift shops. Shops with local alcohol and charcuterie. Highly recommended to visit!
SIMPLY D — Google review
Gorgeous, breathtaking castle. It's absolutely massive. The sheer size of the castle is impressive and so is the history. Really inform yourself about it before you visit to appreciate it more. There is a room to the left as you enter the castle thah shows informative movies about it's history and architecture. I am giving it 4 stars because even with the map it was a bit of a challenge of having a cohesive visit. We kept checking the map to make sure we didn't miss anything. I would try finding creative ways of guiding visitors better in a better flow with some creative/visible signages. The inside of the castle isn't as impressive as other castles. The outside is alot nicer.
Elana P — Google review
Castle of Chambord is magnificent. The view from outside is astonishing. The inside is a bit empty but the architecture is really interesting from the outside and inside mainly on stairs. Highly recommence to spend a day in here 😍 and many steps 😂. A stunning Château with history. Take some small tour if possible, that you can go up to the latern tower which is the highest point to have great overview. Or there is a tour to explain about the history and architecture as well - by that you could enter a secret place of the Chateau.

Parc Floral de la Source is a large park in Orleans, featuring themed gardens, a butterfly greenhouse, farm animals, a playground, and mini-golf. From June to October, the park stays open once a month after sunset for visitors to enjoy picnics, family shows at night, and lantern-lit walks through the highlighted gardens. The park hosts an annual event with exhibitors from all over France offering garden-related products and accessories.
A great place for a family afternoon out. There’s a playground which has a few climbing frames, slides and swings spread out. There are also lots of trees, stones and furniture for children to climb on throughout the park. And, of course, it’s just a lovely place to be - it’s a big park, very pretty and the butterfly house is probably the most spectacular I’ve ever been to.

Very beautiful park but relatively small. I took my time going through and looked at everything but still you only need like half a day fore the visit, wich is okay. There are many flowers but also many structures and green spots with trees where you can sit and enjoy the flowers. They have some bird cages but nothing really special or big. All in all an good park fore a visit

A wonderful oasis of beauty!! It's worth spending a full day in the magnificent gardens and visiting the potager, the birds and the butterfly House, + many other surprises along the way. The château and the bridge over the river generously offer peaceful areas of contemplation. The little train helps children and elderly take advantage of all the beauty and great educational opportunities on offer. For me, the highlights were the chapel, the rose and dahlia gardens, and spending time in the sun around the stunning water fountain. A truly wonderful place. I hope to go back soon.

Lovely stop on our way south in France. We enjoyed our walk thru the gardens.

This park is absolutely lovely. You can spend hours in there discovering all sorts of flowers and trees. There are several play grounds and a butterfly house. There’s also an area with animals (chicken, bunnies, alpacas, donkeys,…), a little train that goes around the park, Minigolf and you can rent little carts to cycle through the park yourself. During the winter months it is only open for a couple of hours in the afternoon. If you plan on going more than once it’s worth getting a annual pass.

Large and Vast floral parc, in winter season the entrance is free., but you can't see the butterflies. I went 2 times to be able to visit it all! Some animals such as Squirrel and Greater Flamingos can be spotted. And many birds! Great place to bring kids. You also can have a picnic here.

Historical landmark
Château de Sully-sur-Loire is a medieval fortress that was once the residence of the Dukes of Sully. It has a rich history, having been owned by the Dukes of Tremouille and even served as a prison for Joan of Arc. The castle features towers, a keep, rampart walk, and moats, making it an impressive sight. Inside, visitors can explore furnished interiors with paintings and tapestries on display.
Very nice castle, and despite not being one of the more famous and spectacular Loire Valley Châteaux, this smaller castle is a great choice if you want to avoid big crowds or spending a full day on one site. Especially the interiors showing the castle's different uses throughout the years, are beautifully done and definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful castle. Restaured well. Wood of the roof repaired too, in good condition. Nice to walk around in the different chambers. Entrance price is 8 Euro per person. Price worth, we can advise this trip.
Werner R — Google review
Parking next to the chateau was easy, not too busy and some spots in the shade. There was no waiting time at the entry. The family rate (22 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids) is friendly and not as harsh as the other chateaus we visited. The chateau is nicely preserved or restored. The structures inside are very interesting, especially if you consider it to be built so long ago. They did a good job in explaining the use of the chateau during the centuries. What I would like to give as a tip, make much of the French available information for kids available in other languages too. For instance the puzzle.

The Sully-sur-Loire castle amazed me with its atmosphere: it felt like you were transported to past centuries. Inside, there are preserved halls with furniture and paintings that create a living history. The surrounding area is very well-kept, it is pleasant to walk in the park and along the Loire - the views are stunning. Here you can combine cultural acquaintance with the history of France and a quiet holiday in nature.

It's what you would image a castle should look like, including a moat. The sun was shining and making for good photos today. The inside had many beautiful and interesting slights to see. There were many stairs to climb. So, if you have trouble walking up pie stairs, you might need to enjoy some of it inside and take pleasure in how beautiful it is on the outside. There were plenty of tapestries, furniture and paintings to view. The bedrooms were wonderful. When you go upstairs you can see how they constructed the roof. All and all it was a great time. I even ran out of charge to take more photos of the last rooms I visited. Also, the outside had some stunning sites for picture taking!

Catholic cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d'Orléans, located in the Old Town's Place Sainte-Croix square, is a significant religious building with Gothic-Neoclassical architecture. It is closely associated with Joan of Arc and features stunning stained glass windows depicting her life. The cathedral stands as a testament to the rich history of Orleans, housing relics and artworks from centuries past.
Beautiful large church with a long and eventful history. A first church was built here in the 7th century, replaced by a number of churches in the following centuries, who were all destroyed by fire, war, and the last one by Protestants in 1568. The church you see now is the result of centuries of construction that started in 1601 by King Henry IV. There is a strong connection to Joan of Arc as she prayed in the previous church when Orleans was under siege and after it was liberated on May 8th, 1429. Every year around May 8th, there are celebrations in town marking the liberation, which coincides with the end of WW2

Amazing! The outside and interior are incredibly beautiful. I'm not religious, but I love visiting churches and cathedrals, and this is a MUST visit!! The statues and wooden sculptures are amazing and there are many different saints and holy idols to look at. The small shop sells rosaries and small crosses, along with postcards and wristbands. Didn't buy anything, but that's just 'cause I was too scared to talk french with the seller lol.

In the heart of Old Orléans stands the mighty Sainte-Croix Cathedral. Amazingly, it gives me the impression of a lighter, almost floating structure compared to the more powerful Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Long and bright inside, generous in its dimensions, impressive in its details, well-preserved and well-maintained. I was immediately drawn to the light and dark colored floor tiles. Centuries of history were written here. In 1492, Saint Jeanne d'Arc walked through the mighty gate, on this floor, to the choir, where I also walked over it. I was touched by this thought and felt a certain power. Just at the very moment I was sitting on a bench to relax, the giant organ started playing, mightily roaring and furious! Could there be more history telling in a cathedral than at this moment?
Adrian B — Google review
Just grand. Renovated inside a few yrs ago. A jewel of Orleans to be sure to visit. Parking and kids play ground literally next to it but keep your parking ticket with or you won't be able to get back in the elevator to get back to the car underground. (They do not have signage warning you of this. Cathedrale closes,at 7pm.

So much history! Beautiful and finely crafted. Can easily spend an hour reflecting and gazing up at the stain glass windows.

Orléans Cathedral (Basilique Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d'Orléans). Another new one for me, from our recent holiday all over France. It was badly damaged in World War 2, both by the Germans and the Allies. Thoroughly restored, but my honest opinion is that it felt a little sterile. Well worth seeing of course. The next one I'm posting was a much more - to me anyway - beautiful building. Watch this space...!

The Chateau was built between 1500 and 1530 by the chamberlain to King Louis XII, Lancelot I du Lac, who was also governor of Orleans. Now the Chateau houses the museum "Promenade des Parfums"

We enjoyed this Chateau. It even had a covered eating area where many families had their lunches. It was fun to see one couple eating with glasses of wine. The gardens were full of roses and expansive grounds. The chateau was a place that promoted perfumes. The story of perfume through the centuries was presented in the rooms of the chateau. There where many items that were used to make perfume and the vessels used to sell them. The chateau is worth seeing and finding out the history of perfumes in France!

I haven't return to this castle since i was i child and it looks even better than i remembered. Lots of parking space and easy access. 2 hours is enough to go around. Maybe the only thing missing was the sample of perfumes you could smell back on the day , but I imagine Covid has something to do with that.

Espace Rambouillet is a national park offering woodland trails, raised forest walkways, and the opportunity to see wild deer and raptor flight presentations. The animal park within the area features various wildlife such as deer, birds of prey, boars, and elks. Visitors can enjoy a day of adventure in the heart of the forest while observing over 100 diurnal and nocturnal raptors. Families can take leisurely walks along tranquil forest paths or watch impressive bird shows.
Spent the day with family, walked the whole loop, very tranquil forest. We watch the raptor bird presentation which was excellent. Very close up look at many raptors, flying around. Our kids played at the huge trampoline in the sky as my daughter called it. Great place for family and anyone looking for a relaxing walk in the forest. Beware of grumpy photographers thou, ran into one on the trail who thought he owned the place. It's a space for everyone.

Good place to spend the day. There is a picnic area. Lunch and snacks are available. There aren’t many animals, neither in terms of species or numbers. Price is a bit high compared to what is on offer. If you are thinking of coming back, season pass is a better bet. Cellular coverage is too bad. Be prepared to go off grid.

Mostly 'open concept' zoo. Wolves and rutting males obviously kept penned, but you can walk through a couple of areas where the (female) deer are roaming freely. You're supposed to stay to the designated walkways, so you don't generally touch them - I suppose in theory one might come close enough to touch, but you're not allowed to chase them down or go into the grassy areas, so it's not actually likely. But, it's nice to be able to see them fairly closely - we got within about a meter of a couple of them. The walking areas and viewpoints have been redone within the past year, so they're very nice. There's a wolf area, where you can watch them give a small snack to the wolves so they come up to the windows and you get some really good views. They also have a really nice raptor (bird) show that is pretty amazing to see - again, the birds get really close so you can see them very well. And there's a (very) small farm animal section, with rabbits, goats, and sheep. There's a small playground for kids 3 - 12, and a really nice suspended trampoline area (one for kids aged 3-6, one for kids/adults aged 4+) that was very fun. They also have a small train with a guided (in French, of course) visit through one of the deer area. There's a small restaurant (salads, sandwiches, and in theory pasta, though they didn't have pasta when we went), and a food truck (burgers, fries, fish and chips, chicken nuggets). The food was...meh. Coffee options (cappuccino, cafe au lait, espresso, etc.) are only through a hotel-style push-button machine. Edible if you're spending the day there. We ended up overcharged for our meals, which i didnt realize until we were already leaving, but it wasnt worth it to me to go back and argue about it. Though, they also have a picnic area, so you can bring your own food in (would likely do this in the future). We spend about 5.5 hours there (including the small train ride, which takes about 30 minutes, and costs extra on top of the entry ticket). We saw everything except the full falcon show (arrived about half-way through). Feel like we were able tonsee everything in that amount of time. We were staying at the Huttopia campground, which is about a 30-40 minute pleasant walk through the woods. Mostly flat, through predominantly unpaved (unless you walk along the etang, then it's half-paved). If the weather is rainy, it WILL be muddy, so be aware.

Beautiful park to see birds of prey and animals with a must see bird show. Great educational features for children. Shame about the screaming school kids on the day we went. Pity the Canadian wolves in the new enclosure were traumatised by the loud children - should be a zone of silence.
Andrew J — Google review
Amazing birdshow and a cool wolfpack. Impressive how close the birds flying by, even the really big ones. My kids and I were really flashed. The big trampoline area is also really cool. The rest of the park is so-so. Really nice Forrest in a beautiful landscape but we couldn't barley see any deers. Would visit again.
Christian F — Google review
The forest is quite nice, with a lot of deers. We didn’t see other animals. The trampoline parc is medium size and kids at different ages. I sprained my ankle and I will spend the next month in bed. The price of the ticket is big for a walk in the forest and trampoline. I could see the bird show because of my accident with the ankle . The annual pass may worth the money.
Doina O — Google review
The bird show is really impressive. The show alone is worth the entrance ( 15€ per adult ). There are boars and elks in the forest. At the end, there are some treehouses.

Château de Rambouillet is a turreted 14th-century chateau and former royal residence located in Yvelines, between Versailles and Chartres. The estate is renowned for its prestigious 22,000-hectare forest where royal hunts took place. The main palace is currently being refurbished, but the grounds and follies are open to visitors.
This is an absolute MUST VISIT. The house is a good visit but there is not tons to see. Worth going in if you want to see some beautiful rooms. There are also a few buildings in the grounds you can visit with the ticket. The grounds are the stand out. Incredible views, walks, they are so well kept. You could spend hours wondering around, soaking up the sun, having a picnic, playing games etc. You can also rent various things for decent prices. E.g rowing boats, bikes, tandem bikes, little carts etc The grounds are free and are worth the trip from Paris or anywhere really. 10/10 recommend.

Well-preserved drawing rooms, but relatively small collection. Unfortunately, only the first floor and the marble room on garden level are accessible. Still, the Laitière and Coquillages (about 30 min walk from castle) are extraordinary and not to miss!

Beautiful gardens to stroll all day long. The guides showed exceptional ability in providing additional direction. The chateau itself was beautiful but needed a little TLC. Not as crowed as Versailles, which makes it more family friendly. Had a great hot chocolate with whipped creme in this charming french town.

From the minute we walked into the park gardens and then saw the chateau we knew we had picked a good one. The gardens were very tidy and quite large with a beautiful water feature surrounding. The outside of the Chateau is very picture postcard and inside didnt disappoint either. You only get access to the first floor and one room on the basement level. There are some beautiful floors - tiles and parquet. l;ots of interesting informationon boards to read on your way round. The local authority gave the owners some money to help with restoration but it now is in desperate need of a new roof. Anything that is given is going towards that. You can see the effects of some slight water damage on walls so I hope they manage to get this fixed before the damage becomes more extensive. We walked up to the Dauphins Dairy a separate building built for Marie Antoinette. It was OK. Not a great deal to see inside. Then we walked ujp to the shell house which was amazing. E verwhere on the walls and ceiling is covered entirely with shells of all different kinds. I thought it must have taken ages to do but apparently it was all done within a year. Would recommend a visit to this place if you are nearby. Wished Id taken a picnic!!

American Review - Ok so... planned to take my friend to this chateau and had no idea it was a fairy tale chateau geared mostly towards kids. It was still a nice time, and I saw that they offer an escape room and tour and such so there is plenty to do there. However, I'd probably suggest this more for those who have children. I pre-purchased my tickets online at their website. There was a playground, themed building with interactive displays and animatrons, gardens, hedge maze, etc.

I never heard of this castle until today but it is beautiful, even in winter. There's a ton of history here, all explained by a guided tour with actual knowledge of the place. In winter it will be the castle itself that you want to see, in summer I imagine walking for hours in the gardens. Playground, very clean toilets, splendid views, picnic areas, it's all here.

A bit of a ride out of town, worth calling in ahead to ask about available tour times and see how busy the place is. Tends to get school trips which can make the place busy. You have a choice to do grounds or guided tour also. Would have been nice to know all the fairy tail story telling and the tour is in French. Plenty of parking outside and big enough for buses also. Place is privately owned and kept up well.

The antithesis to our recent visit of Versilles!! Friendly & quiet, peaceful beautiful gardens, helpful & interesting guides & a real sense of a family residence open to the public. We were lucky & did meet the Marquis who gave us some history about the Chateau during our tour & then we chatted to him after our visit. A real thoughtful effort has been put into entertaining children, who would no doubt be bored by the tour very quickly otherwise. I found the early refrigeration system particulary interesting in the kitchen!! I got a real sense of the history of the place from the furniture & artifacts which are genuine to the Chateau itself, often unlike in other places, which are an assembly of disparate period pieces. So glad we stumbled across this visit :)

Great chateau. Masses of items of furniture and painting on display in beautiful condition and unusual ones some of which I have shown in my photos. There are collections such as the very beautiful butterflies shown. There are tableau and fairy stories portrayed. Yes, there are different graves, unfortunately, some of them are in a deplorable state, especially those located in the oldest part. The monuments are unique. With beautiful inscriptions, epitaphs. Can I say this, but it did not disappoint me. Everything was as I imagined and as described in the song. The church is amazing. I also want to share how to get to this cemetery. The metro (RER) goes to Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois. In July 2025, bus 4511 goes. It runs twice an hour. The trip takes 15 minutes. Then walk 2 minutes. I will send a photo of the RER trains to those stations that pass Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois. And a photo of the bus that goes to the cemetery. Thoiry ZooSafari is a unique destination that offers a combination of zoo, safari tours, world farm, maze, play areas and a castle with gardens. Visitors can enjoy a beautiful day out observing well-cared-for animals in spacious enclosures. The zoo features an array of animals, some of which may be unfamiliar to many visitors. There are shaded areas and picnic tables available for relaxation. The zoo also boasts playgrounds and entertainment options suitable for visitors of all ages.
We had a wonderful family day at Safari Thoiry with our two-year-old! We started with the safari by car, which was a fantastic experience. Getting to see the animals up close was amazing, and our daughter loved every moment. The safari took about an hour since there were quite a few cars, but the wait was worth it. Afterward, we explored the zoo on foot, but we found ourselves a bit too tired to cover everything. Despite this, we still managed to see a wide range of animals, which kept our little one thrilled. However, we’d recommend breaking up the visit if possible because it’s challenging to do both the safari and zoo in one day and really take it all in. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we’d definitely recommend it to families, but with the advice to pace yourselves or consider splitting it into two visits if possible!

Well, it is not that good and not that bad. But nothing fun there, animals are sleepy/tired. Restaurants are expensive, so it is better to bring food with you. Go in the morning so you can visit the park on foot then by car at the same day. Peace!

wildlife park near Paris where you can drive through and see animals like elephants , giraffes, and rhinos up close ! There’s also a zoo, a botanical garden, and lots of fun for kids and families

The animals are stunning, and seeing them in environments that feel close to their natural habitats really made the whole experience special. 🥰 The Lion’s Den was definitely a standout. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves wildlife!

This zoo is fantastic! I would recommend visiting the park first and doing the safari afterward. Excellent for every age.

Thoiry is undoubtedly the best zoo I've ever visited! I brought along my 2-year-old and 5-year-old, and we all had an absolutely fantastic time. The hyena and lion areas stand out with tunnels that allow you to walk through their habitats under a glass covering, providing an incredible view of the animals. Thoiry offers several playgrounds and a massive rope/trampoline/climbing area that entertained all of us, including my 75-year-old mother. What's remarkable is the spacious enclosures for each animal, which are meticulously designed to replicate their local habitats, setting it apart from zoos in the US. Though we missed the drive-through experience, we explored the entire zoo and will return during our next trip to France. I highly recommend Thoiry, especially if you have kids!

I am not a big fan of zoos bit we took our 7yr old. This is a good zoo. The layout is very nice. They have a lot of interesting species that I had never seen, also tunnels through the feline enclosures. And a drive through “safari.” It’s all a bit small but very tidy, very nice. It always breaks my heart to see the gorillas bored to death. The kids games a great. The food is absolutely disgusting, bring a picnic lunch.

Beautiful day out seeing animals who looked well cared and had proper spaces cared of to live in. Lots of animals, some of them we never saw before. It is amazing to see so many of them. Lots of shadow in the zoo. Playground in the middle. Picnic tables available. We arrived at the opening and left just before the closure - plan the whole day there!! Started with walking through the zoo and finished off with the car safari - great idea as we were happy to sit down at that point!

Miniature golf course

It's probably one of the most beautiful places in suburban Paris. Every day, it has a different look to it with lakes, forests and wild areas. It has a number of family based attractions, including a miniature railway and a small amusement park.

Very nice place to go with your kids. Lot of space, greens, water. A bit sad to see that there won't be the swimming pool open this year. Hope that other activities will be continued for kids

Great park for Picnics etc. Brand new toilets for public, that are closed most of the time. Fireworks are usually shot the 13th of July, at about 11 PM

Château de Malmaison

Museum
Château de Malmaison, once the country home of Napoleon and Joséphine, boasts 19th-century decor, furnishings, and paintings. Acquired by Josephine in 1799, she spared no expense in enhancing the house and grounds. The estate even served as a seat of the French government for a brief period.
Beautiful Chateau with a lovely garden. I wish we could have seen it all before the estate was portioned and sold. The exhibits were poignant and well done. The exterior was under renovation, but it was still easy to see how beautiful and peaceful this home would have been. Parking nearby was easy and affordable. Much less crowded than Versailles. The house closes for an hour around lunchtime, but you can walk the gardens until it reopens. Arrive first thing in the morning, and you will have the place mostly to yourself. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great view into history of Napoleons wife. The chateau has quite a bit of history. The gardens are lovely. Unfortunately when I went in August 2025 there were many facades covering the home so it was a bit dark. You need 90 minutes inside

A small, managable castle inside Paris. It used to be the residence for Josephine, first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. Lovely and interesting. Worth to have a walk in the yard among colourful flowers.

Amazing place, a historical palace surrounded by beautiful gardens and forest nearby. Especially we loved a picnic zone, for kids its best place to play, to retreat in nature.

The guides were all animated and passionate about this museum. A beautiful house with original furnishings, this is a "must see".

At least 2 big cheap car parks within 5 mins walk. Children free, adults €6.50 and you get audio guides which is useful as most info is in French. The house is covered in scaffolding and the gardens aren't that big so you can spend 2 hours on a visit. The house is closed for lunch between 12:30-13:30 but you can access the garden during this time. We used this time for some al fresco lunch as a few tables/ chairs dotted around. Interesting items in the house include Napoleon's death mask, the bed Josephine died in and the orginal Napoleon crossing the alps painting.

Very historic residence of former wife Napoleon. One needs a guide to take a tour of house to explain what one is seeing and it's significance. Most of the interior descriptions are in French so one needs a bit of translation if you are like me and only speak Texan. Renovation were going on when we visited but not enough to spoil tour. Work was being done on windows as house was sinking so the windows were going off a bit off. Include time to tour the grounds. I include photos of house layout and overall site. If there are multiple tours groups inside it can become very crowded.

Josephine chose a beautiful Chateau. Too bad Napoleon didn't like the choice but the building retains it's charm ( and furniture). l

Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye is a 12th-century castle that houses an impressive collection of archaeological discoveries dating back to the Paleolithic period through the Medieval era. The palace boasts a contemporary design and is not overly large, making it an ideal destination for visitors looking for a more intimate experience. Additionally, the castle features spacious gardens suitable for groups and families to enjoy.
I did not get the chance to visit the amazing castle turned to museum, but i was able to tour the gardens and appreciate the exterior architecture of this amazing place, and words cannot describe, so i leave it for the pictures, with a hope of another chance to visit it on the inside

Great museum to learn about national and local history. Huge gigantic park area to walk or relax under a tree. Two outside mini restaurants to eat. One of them has breathtaking views of downtown Paris.

Beautiful exterior and gardens, but disappointing visit as only one third of the interior was open. The Chapel, and the upper floor of the museum are closed at present. Also they have blocked off all the exterior windows of the currently open part of the museum during the latest upgrade, so you can't look out over the gardens, only see the admittedly fine exhibits inside. Exterior has apparently been cleaned recently and is looking fantastic.

Brilliant Sunday afternoon out. Fantastic views across the castle gardens, La Defense visible on the horizon. Lots to see and do. Resting place of King James VII of Scotland (II of England) in a building adjacent to the Chateaux- beautiful plaque on display in the outside wall of building (see photos). Recommend highly for a visit 🤗

Beautiful architecture and grounds. The old chateau is now the archeology museum. Museum entry is free. It is worth noting that none of the exhibitions contain any English, so it’s hard to understand what you are looking at.

Beautiful town, peaceful and quaint. People were nice and cafes so full of energy. I loved watching the happy people take their time to spend together! Noone sat inside but enjoyed the weather outdoors - it was picturesque!

Decent paths to stroll around. The incredible 16th-17th century interior courtyard is my favourite part of the museum as the exhibits insides are 99.9% in French. I literally counted two English translations. Only the first floor is open as well. Glad I saw this on the free first Sunday as I would have hated to pay. I was in and out of the museum in 10 minutes. The church also is not that impressive IMO.

The Axe majeur is a stunning 3km-long straight pathway that stretches from Cergy village to an island, offering breathtaking views of Paris city. With its monuments and picturesque surroundings, this location is truly a sight to behold. It provides the perfect opportunity for exercise and enjoying the beauty of nature. Notably, there is a large swan nesting beneath the bridge; however, it's advisable to admire her from a safe distance.
The view from the top of this place is breathtaking! I love going there and admiring the landscape! You can see Paris and some famous landmarks, like the tour Eiffel and the Grande Arche de la Défense!
