Long sandy beach, shallow, crystal clear sea. Gets busy but we got to the beach just after 8am and enjoyed some space to ourselves before the crowds arrived. Saying that, it's not packed, plenty of space for everyone. Sunbeds 15€ for a set of 2, with umbrella. Great place to chill, unwind and relax.

A beautiful slice of paradise. Soft golden sand turquoise water. Plenty of sunbeds, water sports, lifeguard,beach bars and the wonderful Greek people. You can walk end to end of the beach stopping off for a drink ar some amazing fresh fish . A real treat.

It is such a nice beach. The village has so many houses to rent for the summer. The beach is great. The waters are clear and clean. There are a lot of coffee amd food options and various pricea. There is a long beach walk up to Xrisi Akti to walk along. The staff at the shops is very polite.

It's a beautiful, long beach. It's stunning at sunrise, and there are different businesses at different parts of the beach. There are fees for sunbeds and umbrellas, but they're affordable. We set up our own tent and swam there.

One of the best beaches on Thassos. Plenty of beach bars where you can buy a coffee or a drink and you will get two sun-beds and umbrella for free. Also plenty of spots where you can bring your own accessories. When entering sea it is shallow for a very long time so it is perfect for families with kids.

It was such a pleasure being on golden beach, the sand is so fine and soft that it cannot be described with words, you need to feel it. The beach is huge and it has one of the best views on the island. The water is clear and it is good for non swimmers as it is so shallow. It's not good for snorkeling as there is nothing really to see underwater, only sand and a few fish here and there. This beach is perfect if you want to fully relax and enjoy.

Water has some algue here and there, pieces floating. The sea has deep and shallow parts, not turquise but still in general it is clean. Sand is very smooth.

The bay itself is beautiful. The beach would be beautiful if it wasn't so ram-packed with beach chairs and umbrellas. You can barely move. Also big boats come in and dump 100s of passengers into the bay. Taverna Leonidas is a lovely place to sit and enjoy lunch, and the archaeological site of Aliki is right next to the beach and worth a visit. Therefore I'd visit the beach if I were visiting the archaeological site, but wouldn't drive here just for the beach - there are better. Parking is up on the main road. There's a quieter beach behind on the others side of the peninsula, 2 min walk from here.

Such a beautiful beach! In the early morning (9 AM) it is not crowded, there is plenty of space where you can choose from. We chose a set of sunbeds which were 20€ per set, without anything included. But the staff there (a lady and a man) are very friendly, attentive. We ordered 2 coffees and a water and they were brought in less than 5 minutes. There are no waves, the water is clear and lean, perfect for kids and families. There are parking spaces along the main road, a couple of minutes apart from the beach.

To crowdedness for our taste. But other than that, water was perfect until tourist boats came with their garbage which ended up in water. You should definitely come early here in order to park your car. This is a beach for families with children, so if you are not fond of that, avoid it.

It has nice views but the space is not well maintained, i came back after 2 years and some informative panels are destroyed and vegetation can be irrigated maybe.

We visited Aliki Beach and chose to stay at the middle beach bar with the brown sunbeds. The price for two sunbeds and an umbrella is €20 , this is only for the sunbeds, and anything you order from the bar is not included in this price. The staff makes sure to inform you about this right from the beginning. The prices are very reasonable for a beach bar. Everything was great the staff were friendly, polite, very well organized, and they also speak English very well, which makes communication easy and pleasant. We definitely plan to return!

It is a wonderful beach with crystal clear water. There are many facilities in the beach with different prices, I recommend the place with the beige sunbeds ( the one next to the brown sunbeds). It had a minimum consumption amount of 30 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella without extra fees so it was great.

Excellent for kids, but expensive. First and second rows of sunbeads are minimum consumption 70eur in taverna, other rows were from 50eur, and it is always full. You need to park on the street, and there are a lot of car parks.

The beach itself is beautiful, with clear water and stunning views, no complaints there. But the overall experience left a lot to be desired. When we arrived around 9:15, we were surprised to find that the earlier you come, the worse your seating options are. The first three rows of chairs, closest to the water, are empty but reserved, so you're pushed to the back if you come early. Strangely, people who showed up later got better spots. The staff managing the seating near the beach bar were a bit rude and didn’t make the situation any better. On top of that, there’s a large diesel generator powering the beach bar. It’s loud, and they try to drown it out with even louder music, which just creates more noise instead of a relaxing atmosphere. The chairs and umbrellas are packed tightly together, giving you little space to move or feel comfortable. The sand wasn’t clean, and the chairs looked old and a bit grimy. The sea and natural surroundings are lovely, but the poor setup and unfriendly service really took away from the experience. I wouldn’t go back.

One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to! It feels like a little bay, with crystal-clear water. The road turns into a dirt road after a certain point, but it’s totally worth it! Highly recommended!

The beach itself is very beautiful, crystal clear water, amazing view on Mouth Atos. BUT! Beach is very crowded. There is a busy beach bar with a very loud music, there is impossible to find a spot on the beach. Around the place are people camping. Very crowded place, if you go there, in the off season.

Beautiful beach but crowded. In the first day we arrived ar around 12:00 so we didn’t find any free sun beds. We made a resevation for the next day, for 10:00. The beach is nice with turcoise waters, but it is very small and too crowded. I wouldn’t recommend if you want to chill at the beach. The sunbeds are free but you need to order from the bar.

We visited in August. The sea is amazing and the beach is beautiful, but it’s very small, overcrowded, and rocky. Most of the sandy area is taken up by a bar with sunbeds, where you’re forced to buy something in order to use them. Be especially careful with “Paradise Kavourotripes Bar”. We ended up there first by mistake and found a tiny beach completely filled with sunbeds. They required everyone to order their drinks and food, which was ok for us but when we explained that we already had food for our kids, they told us it was strictly forbidden to bring any of your own. Their attitude was quite aggressive, so we left and went to the official Kavourotripes free beach instead. There we could still buy drinks if we wanted, but without being pressured to rent sunbeds. Overall, I don’t appreciate being forced to spend money just to enjoy a beach.

This is one of my two favorite beaches here. It’s not crowded, with only three rows of sunbeds and plenty of trees for natural shade. Sunbeds with an umbrella cost €20. There’s also a bar offering cocktails and some food. Free parking available. I totally recommend it!

Very beautiful beach, especially at the South end, there is a big rock and many fish near it, after the rock there are stone stairs and you can go to another tiny beach made only of rock. Great for snorkling! Free parking on the road right next to the beach.

Beautiful beach. Everything is so clean and the staff is very polite A big salute to Pavlos. Private parking aswell. The water is cristal clear and there are so many choices of sunbads (first row or the last if you like to stay in the shadow) We were amazed and rested well there. All recommandations.

This beach is absolutely amazing. The water is so crystal clear and warm. The sand is so soft to walk on even in the water. It’s so easy to swim and lots of water sports and things to hire such as paddle boards and pedal boats. You can choose to sit on the lounge chairs provided. They are dearer than other beaches but they are very comfortable and great service from the waiters. There’s opportunities to snorkel and even scuba dive. A must visit even for a day.

Nice beach place, good food and drinks, friendly staff, you can rent canoe and boats. But it's a bit annoying that even with consumption you still have to pay for umbrella and chaise lounges.

In my opinion, this is one of the better and more beautiful beaches in Sithonia. The sunbeds are expensive — up to €50 — and during weekdays, the sunbeds are relatively empty. We brought our own umbrellas and set them up in the free area of the beach. The sea and its color are absolutely stunning. It gets crowded on weekends, but it's still worth a visit. My recommendation is to come as early as possible, as there’s no proper parking and you’ll have to leave your car on the dirt road. Please park considerately and leave enough space for those who are trying to leave. DESPERATELY NEEDED: trash bins and toilets on the beach itself.

Great beach, but parking is a huge problem. Avoid the main parking and instead go for Isla Beach on Google maps. You will end up on the nort side of Kalogria Beach, but there’s parking spaces even at noon there. It’s also much easier to get back to the main road from there.

Sven took us down the coast with stops along the way to swim and snorkel from his comfortable yacht. Lots of soft drinks and sandwiches were included, and we stopped off at a beach bar where we could buy more drinks. Sven is friendly and so too were his other passengers (his boat was not over crowded and there was space to either sit in the sun or shade). Our day was enjoyable and memorable. The trip was easy to check out on the website and book through WhatsApp messaging. The trip is great value for money.

We couldn’t recommend Daysailing with Sven enough. The day was excellent from start to finish. The tour was easy to book direct on the website and Sven communicated with us via WhatsApp, which was super convenient. The weather was amazing, the sea calm and we met some lovely people. All while having a laugh and visiting some of the most beautiful swimming bays & beaches around Halkidiki. We were given our own cooler box with plenty of drinks and a lovely lunch. A SUP board & snorkel equipment was also supplied. This is a perfect trip for couples, friends, or families - highly recommend! ⭐️

We booked a sunset sailing trip with Sven in September 2025, for a special anniversary. The experience was absolutely perfect. Sven is a very hospitable and a very skilled sailor. The views of the Kassandra “leg” were great, we saw a pod of dolphins jumping all around the sailing boat “Sirena” and had time for swimming once the anchor was dropped. Then some drinks and delicious fruit, taking in a glorious sunset, before sailing back to shore. Would recommend very highly, unforgettable.

What a fantastic day! From the moment we boarded we felt very welcomed. Plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel and attempt paddle boarding throughout the day. Not a moment felt rushed. Sven was a brilliant host, and we came away with many happy memories, including a mobile phone retrieved from the ocean floor by Olympic diver, aka, Sven 😉🤣....11/10 experience!

I joined the “Daysailing in Group” tour and had a great time. Sven really knows what he’s doing. He communicates very well and has such a positive attitude. The boat was clean, we didn’t have any issues, and everything was super enjoyable. The spots where we stopped to swim were absolutely beautiful. At one point, we went ashore with a Zodiac and visited a beach bar. 🍸 All in all, the organization was excellent. Thank to Sven and his son! 😊👍⛵️☀️🏊‍♂️🏝️

We had an amazing sailing experience with Daysailing. The captain’s many years of experience were evident in every part of the trip, and his friendly, confident manner made the whole journey even more enjoyable. We were lucky to catch a great wind, which gave us the chance to experience proper sailing at its best. The trip ended with delicious sandwiches prepared by the captain himself, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the day. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy both the thrill and the peace of being out on the water!

This is the main church in Thessaloniki, where Saint Demetrius is buried. The architecture is excellent, and the temple is beautifully and richly decorated inside as well. There is no entrance fee. There is a souvenir shop inside and outside. There are often tourist tours.

We visited on 26 of October, even we came quite early it was overcrowded, not surprising since almost all Thessaloniki was there, including us came from abroad! We highly recommend to visit it, but please come on the service days earlier in order to find a place... I also recommend a small shop at the right corner of the church, it has much spiritual attributes, ikons, crosses, and even books! I found all the books of St Paisios only 15 Eur per one, so is the first place I recommend to visit in Thessaloniki! We definitely plan to come back again 🇨🇾🫶🏻

Don’t be afraid to put your trainers on and walk — Thessaloniki is full of beautiful churches, and the Holy Church of Saint Demetrius is definitely one not to miss! The Church of Saint Demetrius, or Hagios Demetrios is the main sanctuary dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki. Since 1988, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a part of the site Paleochristian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki. The first church on the spot was constructed in the early 4th century AD, replacing a Roman bath. A Repeatedly gutted by fires, the church eventually was reconstructed as a five-aisled basilica in 629–634. This was the surviving form of the church much as it is today. The most important shrine in the city, it was probably larger than the local cathedral. Thessaloniki became part of the Ottoman Empire in 1430. About 60 years later, during the reign of Bayezid II, the church was converted into a mosque, known as the Kasımiye Camii after the local Ottoman mayor, Cezeri Kasım Pasha. The symbolic tomb however was kept open for Christian veneration. It functioned as a mosque (1493–1912). It was converted again to a church in 1912.

On the one hand, you must go here when visiting Thessaloniki. It is the most famous landmark of the city and has a lot of history attached to it. On the other hand, it is rather expensive (at €8) for what is a relatively small (but interesting) museum. But I have to say that the views from the top are terrific. So Yes - go!

A wonderful place to visit! The White Tower is full of history and beautifully presented inside with clear displays and interactive exhibits. The climb to the top is easy, and the view over Thessaloniki and the sea is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-see landmark when visiting the city!

Excellent attraction..6euro entry p.p. The walk up tonthe top with its several rooms and chambers along the way was really well worth it. You could easily spend 2 hours here going through the various write-ups & history. Some audio on English via your phone was available at key points. The views from the top are amazing. You see the length & breadth of the coast line and nearby hils. Apparantly you can see Mt. Olympus on a clear day...we were not so lucky.

This is a must when visiting Thessaloniki! The ticket is 6€ and children under 18 don't pay the ticket. This isn't just a place where you go for the view from the top (even though it's very beautiful), but it's also a museum. You have a couple of stops before you reach the top where you can learn more about the history lf Thessaloniki. You also get a free audio guide available in many languages free of charge! I couldn't recommend this place enough.

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is A MUST monument-museum-attraction to start, when visiting the city. Start with just inhaling and enjoyig from outside the spirit of the place.(White tower is a starting stop and for the Cultural line 50 - the local tourist live guided bus tour -2€ regular fee (https://www.oasth.gr/en/tourism/cultural-route). Entering inside the museum (6€ regular ticket) you can select from 13 languages in which to learn and understand better the history, culture, life, culinary, evolution of the city during your way up trough the seven levels to the top. The observation terrace is a perfect selfie's spot and also a greate way to orientate yourself in the next directions trough your journey felling in love with Thessaloniki... Enjoy!

A must place to visit if in town for the first time. The tower is multi leveled with each level having an exhibition of the city's history. It's not tiresome to climb as there are no steep steps and you have to stop to see the exhibits. At the top one can enjoy the excellent view of the city and the bay. There is also a museum shop that was not operating on the day we visited.

Τhis famous Aristotelous Square is a 20th century square in Thessaloniki, Greece designed by the French architect, Ernest Hébrard and built after the great fire of 1917. Our hotel overlooks Aristotle Square, which is a huge public square lined by various restaurants; and which appears to be a major ‘go to’ place for locals and visitors alike. Very popular as the heat of the day dissipates.

A beautiful and lively spot in the heart of Thessaloniki! The square has lovely architecture, great cafés, and an amazing sea view. It’s perfect for a walk, coffee, or just relaxing and watching the city life. Especially nice in the evening when the lights come on. Definitely worth a visit!

Aristotle Square is a beautiful place. The crowd is quite crowded. It's close to the sea. It has its own flair. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Thessaloniki.

One of the best museums we ever visited! And we visited a lot! Presentation, location, historical significance, atmosphere! And artefacts!! Just WOW! The whole story... It's like it's all just a myth! But it's real!! And unfolding in front of your eyes - in such a unbelievable beauty, preserved like it's untouched... One of these things needed to be seen to be believed - and when you see it, it's almost unbelievable :D

I visited the site of the Royal Tombs of Aigai in Vergina and the nearby museum, which is located about one kilometer away: I started from the underground complex, where I spent an hour and a half among burial chambers adorned with frescoes and grave goods such as jewelry, ceremonial weapons, and pottery, which showcase the craftsmanship and religiosity of the Macedonians in conceiving the passage to the afterlife and a short introductory video that contextualizes the archaeological discoveries. Afterwards, I reached the separate Museum, dedicating about an hour to its exploration: the spaces are organized with essential captions and 3D reconstructions. For Italians over 18, the ticket costs 20 euros per person, while those under eighteen enter for free; the price may seem high, but it includes access to all rooms and enriches the visit with multimedia insights. Also included in the price is a museum detached from the tomb structure, located roughly 1 km away. I appreciated the cleanliness and the calibrated lighting that highlights the details of the artifacts, even though at first it may seem a bit excessive (the rooms are completely dark except for the area where the artifacts are to be admired), without causing discomfort to the eyes, and the accessible path with multilingual panels (English, Greek). I recommend inquiring privately for a guide, if you want one, because the facility does not provide it. Overall, it is a vivid and engaging

Here is the magnificent tomb of Philip II as well as the famous golden urn and other valuable personal belongings of the great King of the Macedonians. The unique frescoes like the vivid representation of the Abduction of Persephone, reveal the achievements in the arts and painting during the years of reign of the glorious Macedonian Kingdom.

Stunning place, recreated in the same underground tomb where it was discovered. Extraordinary, detailed recreation of a myriad pieces found. Perhaps the best designed museum in Greece.

Must visit! This tomb left me speechless. The museum guide made the tour twice as interesting with his attitude to the history of this great ruler and all the details he mentioned to us in addition. Thank you!

A unique experience that not only showcases in a mystic way masterpieces of ancient craft, but also takes you in a detailed journey through the burial rights of ancient Macedonians. And let’s not forget that this is the place where one of the most significant figures of the ancient world was buried and everything is connected to Alexander the Great! Definitely a must see and should be combined with the royal palace and the new museum.

Wonderful museum with incredible exhibits! The light work is fantastic and makes you see the exhibits in detail. The ticket costs 20 euros but you use the same for the Polycentric museum which is about 1 km away. It's worth a visit like nothing else!

Amazing waterfalls. The best sight in Greece. They view is breathtaking especially when you are aunder the waterfall. There is a path which takes you further down to the path of the waterfall. There is no ticket so it's free to see such an amazing gem of nature. There are plenty of coffee shops around to enjoy a coffee or eat something after your trip. Definitely don't miss

Imagine impressive waterfalls, with the dominant one being "Karanos," cascading powerfully right into the heart of the city! The waterfalls of Edessa create a unique, lush green park full of small bridges and paths. Don't miss the chance to walk behind the water curtain of the great waterfall for an unforgettable experience.

The waterfalls themselves are spectacular as is the cave behind the fall and are worth going out of your way to see. However the infrastructure around them has begun to deteriorate. Edessa itself is also worth the visit the rivers running to the falls run through the town. 🤩

A beautiful tall waterfalls inside Edessa City. Overlooking the view of the villages around. You can find it easily inside the katarraktes park. Just be ready to go down some stairs to see it from down, there’s a cave you can explore and if you go more further down the stairs/path you can see small magical lake. Markings can be found if you want to explore its surrounding. <3

As a teenager I used to come here from FLORINA an hr away on my motorcycle with friends for a frappe.. it’s such a beautiful city and a must see at the waterfalls 🇬🇷🇦🇺🫶🏽

We vizited just part of the waterfalls, as everything else there was closed at 16:30 , no aquarium or other places or activities there, some of the places looked closed long time ago, full with dust and spiders. Beautiful place, unfortunately not well entertained.

I would recommend the waterfalls for a short 1-2 hour visit. The cave behind the waterfall is also a muat see. You can also pay to see a couple of other museums and a herpetarium, but it's optional.

This is a truly surreal and stunning experience. Highly recommend at least once on your life. We took a tour bus which on total is a 11 hr day but totally worth it with no hassle. Costs £5 each to enter each mosque.

Great place for a day trip. If you are driving, you will enjoy the wide and safe road. You can go to the top by driving your car. Hiking route is also available. Overall, the scenic view is breathtaking and humans capability of building churches and residences are absolutely surreal!

An amazing experience - far exceeded our expectations. We visited St Nicholas & Varlaam monastries. St Nicholas was small with lots of steps but was fantastic. Not very busy. Varlaam was larger & easier to access. The art work in both is stunning. Having a guide to explain was useful. The views are breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the visit to Monasteries in Meteora. It was so peaceful! We visited two - one with Monks and second with Nuns. Both were equally beautiful and well maintained. Views from these locations were breathtaking!! 😍😍

Amazing view, don't miss the monastery itself, they want 5 euro for adults, kids up to 6yo are free. notice they want cash, but accept cards too. it's beautiful inside, very interesting. 1 hour easy, take your time.

I wonder who put less than 5 stars. I visited many beautiful places and I lived in Rome, but I have rarely been as speechless as here. Simply wonderful! I took hundreds of pictures from every angle. A must-see!!!

I was overwhelmed!!! The unique beauty of the area topped off with the monasteries on top of the unique rock formations was breathtaking. We hired a guide and went as early as possible. Dress code for men and woman to enter the monastery. 5€ to enter each one. A couple are a lot of climbing up stairs.

The Great Meteoron Monastery is an incredible place to visit and truly lives up to its name. We reached it by hiking through the forest from Kastraki, and the walk was magical – quiet, scenic, and full of breathtaking views of the rocks and valleys. The monastery itself is steeped in history, with beautifully preserved frescoes, impressive architecture, and interesting exhibits that give you a real sense of the past. The views from the top are simply unforgettable. It’s a bit of a workout to get there, but the experience is one you’ll remember forever.

A beautiful and well-preserved monastery with many authentic and original details. The real highlight is the rock formations. We visited in autumn, and the mix of colorful leaves, green bushes, and stone cliffs was breathtaking. You can see the monasteries on top of the rocks without needing drones. A truly magical place.

Calm and peacefull place with astonishing views..although its quite crowded in day time. Maybe theres less people in the morning..Dont forget to wear longpant and women - a dress covering legs and shoulders. Be respectfull for the rules inside, this is a place not for selfies or photos but fot prayer and meditation.

Great views and beautiful monastery. Went early morning as it is quite a lot of steps down & up to get to the entrance. Entrance fee was €5, as with the other monasteries. There is a nice, large gift shop here with a variety of religious gifts, honey, wines, soaps etc.

The most popular monastery at Meteora, and I can see why. Despite the many steps to get to the top, there were tons of people walking up and down. The views are incredible, they have various museums inside the walls, and plenty of art inside the churches. This one was the most complete in terms of showing you the historical way of life of the monks living there.

An absolutely amazing place. A truly gem in Greece. The lake offering lots of hikes along its shores and the surrounding mountains. Also it’s worth visiting the dragons Lair and the monastery Moni Panagias Mauriotissas

It is such a picturesque lake, sourrounded by high mountains. It realy worths to go walking by the lake's shore in the city of Kastoria, or even do the whole circle of the ake with bicycle or a car.

A great place to visit and enjoy nature. There are many cafes, and restaurants along its shores to enjoy the view. You can also drive along to a significant part of its shoreline. Famous route for jogging, walking, exercising as well as fishing. Best visit at warm periods (may~august) or even autumn to have an amazing experience.

Beautiful. In winter the lake can freeze and people can walk on it. There are swans and other birds living in it. Lovely scenery and reflections in the water.

Very nice lake! You can walk around or get in one of the boats that do tours in the lake and enjoy the calm atmosphere. It is quite big and the scenery with all the trees and the birds and swans is lovely. There are also many restaurants around the lake so that anyone can enjoy the view while having a coffee or a meal. I would visit it again.

A very beautiful place to visit.Lake Pamvotida is located in the city of Ioannina, Epirus, Greece. Around of the lake there is the castle of Ioannina which has 3.200 inhabitants inside and there are many cafe bars,restaurants and souvenir shops which have sight of the lake. You can take the ferry for a fast cruise to the island of Ioannina for a visit.It has Byzantine churches and the museum of Ali Pasa who was governor of the city during the Ottoman period.It has also restaurants and souvenir shops there.The ticket for this cruise costs 2€ per route. Worth a visit.

The beautiful lake of the Ioannina city, with many good food and drink options, around the lake. Also boat tours are available at the small and historical island of the lake (It is an inhabitable one, with museum, restaurants and cafe). Pictureque scenery, absolutely worth visiting.

This is a really big lake! At night, it looks like there are islands in the middle, there are lots of camping spots around this lake. When you wake up in the morning, you will be able to see that those "islands" are tall grass. There are also lots of animals and big birds around this lake.

Very nice. Guided tour. Takes POS. Cannot take photos or videos inside but all is on the website. One man’s passion for Greece turned into something amazing. Some of them look so real.

This is a MUST for anyone visiting the area of Epirus! Do not miss to make this stop at a place made by the hand of an artist! The entire structure with the stone corridors and the wax sculptures is a unique resemblance of the Greek 19th and early 20th century! You will feel awe and inspiration alongside with admiration for the vision and the creation of the artist … DO NOT MISS IT !!! PS. Very informative tour and guide. He really knew a lot of facts to tell us about everything and every period shown in the museum. And even knew some historical facts about the First World War in Greece. I really learned a lot from him about Greek history which I didn't knew yet.

It's definitely worth your while. The surroundings are like you're in a cave. Attention is paid to every detail, even weed growing between stones!

One of the most beautiful museums - the wax statues are so detailed you feel they are alive.set in different periods they show scenes of the most significant events in the Greek history. The building inside is cleverly designed - you go through dark corridors and see the statues behind windows in various scenes. The last part is the artist's selection of various events . No photos or videos are allowed. Don't miss it!

The personages seems not so "real" and if you are "claustrophobic " its not a good idea to go here you are in the dark and it's cold and some personages move her eyes to look at you ... you don't feel so relax and you can not take photography and if you take the security gonna follow you on your back until the end like you have killed someone or like you have do the one abominable think it's stupid and crazy because in England you have the same thing and better with all the cinema star and you can take photos and touch the personages and it's seems more real it's stupid !

What a sight! Short hike along beautiful clear rock pools with the amazing local striated rocks. Recommend wearing sneakers if you plan to go far back. This place was great, cool in the shade. Formed through both natural and human made interventions.

Beautiful nature point on the road side to micro papaginko. Nature carved a small water way in between rock walls that are built from layers of straightstone plates. Now its end of September and there is only a very little amount of water yet it is enough to seat, listen and relax.

Imagine a landscape straight out of a fairy tale. Impressive rocks sculpted by nature, forming small, crystal-clear 'pools'. The feeling is magical, as if you're in a hidden secret of Pindos.

A beautiful game of nature in the heart of Pindos Mountains. The water made its way through the rocks the last 200 million years and made some breathtaking formations of stone. I guess in some years the water is more and in some others less, regarding how much it rained. So don't get disappointed if the water is less. Enjoy this majestical work of nature.

A beautiful landscape of successive natural pools formed within the rock by the constant flow of the stream. Hopefully it will keep on flowing.... Do respect the environment if you go. No littering, no sunblock in such delicate surroundings.

In the summer (Augest) the pools are not realy fool. There is 1 big pool that is great. Its fun to go as far as you could but at some point you need snapling equipment to continue. Its a great location sins its only 10 min walk from your car

A short walk to bathe in the cool river water and enjoy the natural rock pools. There were very few people there and it was very pleasant to explore the area

An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.

Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.

The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children

"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.

Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.

Beautiful place not to be missed if you’re nearby

Very nice and climatic place. You need to walk around 10-15 minutes to reach the place from the parking place. There is a lot of people be aware. I had a plan to get into the water while being there, but when I reached the destination I decided not too. The waterfall is too small (not enough rain) and water is simply dirty as there is not enough to run fast.

Depending on the season, you should expect to see different views and experiences. When I visited the cascade in summer, there was little to no water flow. However, the 10-minute walk through the gorge to reach the cascade was still very pleasant and absolutely worthwhile. Swimming is still possible, although the water is quite cold. At the entrance of the gorge, there’s a lovely café shaded by a huge plane tree, which I highly recommend for relaxing after the short trek. When you visit come with seaside shoes or sport shoes. Small kids can reach with some assistance from the parents. Parking is available near the café, but spots are limited. Depending on the time of day and season, finding a space can range from easy to a bit challenging—so plan accordingly.

It was a great experience overall and everything there was really nice. However, reaching the top was quite challenging—there were no clear visual paths, some rocks were falling from above, and of course, the little water that was there was freezing cold. Still, if you’ve got the stamina to make it, I definitely recommend visiting this place 100%!

The day that we visited the waterfalls didn’t have the chance to see the beauty that have been described about ( first week of August) due to lack of rain in the past few months, but the path that you have to follow to get there is wonderful. Almost fully covered with great shadows of the surrounding trees is recommended through the hot day hours. There is a wonderful coffee-bar that serves local refreshments, small snacks coffees and more , as well as a small shop with local products ( honey , marmalade and small gifts for loved ones!!!)

A short easy hike but be careful what time of year you will choose to visit as in the summer the waterfall might be completely dry.

A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.

Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

Beautiful beach, but very crowded in the season. There is almost always wind and waves, so you can forget about the heat. This beach is not for non-swimmers and small children. It is recommended to try paragliding.

Most easiest access to the beach with all comforts when you choose between Egremni, Porto Katsiki and Katishma. Also includes beach clubs, restaurants and different activities 😊

Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.

Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

One of the BEST hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The service throughout the entire stay was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious—truly next level. The views, the beach, and the service provided there were beyond amazing. Everything about this place was perfect. HIGHLY recommended. We will definitely be returning!

This time my experience was completely different — and in the best way! The hotel is still wonderful, with its beautiful views, spotless rooms, and perfect location near the beach. But the biggest change was at reception: the gentleman who welcomed me was super friendly, helpful, and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. It’s amazing how much a warm smile and kind attitude can elevate the whole stay. Well done I also want to make a special note of the guys who work in the bar-restaurant where breakfast is also served 🥞 They are very friendly and cordial, bravo to all of you. now everything matches the beauty of the place!

Fantastic service from we arrived until we left. If I could give more stars I would!! Help with luggage, always a smile and help when needed. Lovely room, with the most amazing view. Short walk into Parga, with lots of nice restaurants. Don’t miss out on Valtos Beach own restaurant though!! We had lunch there and it was really nice! Again the staff was really nice and helpful! This hotel is very good due to its location and very friendly staff. The hotel itself is very modern and of a high standard. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The food quality in the restaurant is very good and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning in the nice setting next to the pool. The walk into Parga centre is approximately 15 minutes, however we stopped at Mikes bar for a cocktail which was a nice way of breaking up the journey. There is also the option of the little boat taxi which seems to be quite regular. As far as our room was concerned it was just ok. We had a two bedroom apartment which had lovely views to the sea and was quite spacious. There were a few things which let it down. Firstly the bathroom was quite old and dated and could do with modernising. We has a bathtub instead of a shower which meant standing in a bath which had a sloping bottom. It was a little dangerous stepping over the bath edge whilst standing on a slippy sloping surface. I couldn’t figure out how to fill the bath as it seems the water can no longer be diverted from the shower so the bath was useless anyway. Another thing to mention is that there were no full length mirrors anywhere in the apartment which my wife and daughter found to be a problem. The only mirrors available had no plug socket near so using a hairdryer was a challenge. We really loved the hotel and our stay here. We would happily stay here again but maybe would not book the two bedroom apartment.

Nice hotel with good service in Parga. Great location by the beach, but parking can be tricky if you don't find a lucky spot. Pool closed too early and food was just okay, overall good experience but felt overpriced.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, its fresh and modern. Quite clearly had some serious money spent on it. The staff are fantastic and cant do enough to help. However its not without its small problem, there were a few issues which let it down. We booked through TUI, (rated 3☆) and was expecting €2 room tax, but when we got there, its official rating is 4☆. We were there for 3 weeks, we truly didn't expect €210 room tax. This was a massive shock for us. Sunbeds: there aren't enough. If you want one, then get up at 7.30. (Otherwise forget it). Anyway they have hotel beds on the beach so not all's lost. And we actually prefer the beach anyway, However, these are charged at €15~20 per pair. So thats another €300, that we wasn't expecting. With no discount for hotel guests, and no 'eat in our restaurant ' incentive. Then when you do rent a hotel beach sunbed, you can't take your own food & drinks. The pool suffered an algal bloom of some sort. the water was murky green for at least a week to ten days. I wouldn't have let my dog swim in it, let alone guests. Our bathroom had an occasional foul smell. It would be fine for 3 or 4 days, then the next day it would be back. It would just come and go occasionally. I suspected the shower grid. In conclusion: ive no doubt it was rated 4☆ for a valid reason, but im not convinced that it should still be rated 4☆. It's probably the most modern and cleanest greek place we've stayed in, but i've stayed in just as good 3☆ establishments. We had a really nice time, but for what we spent and what we received, it could have been better.

Gjirokastër Castle is definitely a must-visit if you're in southern Albania. It’s a place filled with history, with a dark and somber atmosphere — especially with so many old prison cells spread throughout. The entrance is paid, but unfortunately, the site could use better maintenance and preservation efforts. There's a lot of dust and loose soil around, and since the castle is exposed to the wind, it can get quite dusty and uncomfortable for visitors. Still, it's a powerful and historical site that’s worth seeing, just be prepared for the conditions.

Incredible experience! You get free range to wander through the entire castle. We spend well over two hours walking around and exploring the castle. There is a second museum within the castle that cost extra to go into. I would recommend paying to go in, it was very informative.

We bought the tickets online, so we skipped the huge line at the entrance. The castle is incredible, make sure to go with enough time to explore everything calmly. It has a beautiful view and a fascinating history. Definitely worth a visit!

The view is stunning, you can see the whole city from above. There are some interesting areas and hidden paths to discover. Even on a busy day, there is plenty of space to move around, they also have toilets inside.

Personally loved this place, amazing views and quite striking thinking about all the 1500+ history and the effort that was put into building it over the time. Went through so many changes and has some haunting stories of the past both recent and historic. Recommended if you’re in the city and looking for something to see and absorb

This is a well-preserved historic site that tells the story of its past. The fortress has a long and eventful history, with many key moments mentioned right at the entrance. It's a great stop to make on your way to the seaside.

Impressive and well-preserved castle with stunning views over Gjirokastër and the surrounding valley. Entry is 400 lek, with an extra fee if you want to visit the museum inside. You can explore the old prison, see a U.S. military plane, and walk along the massive stone walls. Some signs could offer more context, but overall it’s a must-see when in town!

100% recommend! We came here by boat. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and there is a path to the restaurant where there is a shower and a big terrace. The food was delicious, I had grilled prawns and Jake had mussel saganaki. We had bread to start with lovely olive oil. Cocktails are yummy too. Staff were really nice, we waited no time for the food! Overall a 10/10

My family was on the beach and in the restaurant. The beach had a very nice atmosphere and silence, my children could sleep peacefully under the sound of the sea. For dinner we went to the restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious food and pleasant music, the children were delighted. Without a doubt, I can recommend this place.

The restaurant itself has some work to do before reaching a good level. The staff is ok but they have a monopol on the beach and if you don't take lunch at them, will charge you 50 eur (the staff from the beach) or 35 eur(the person from the bar) for sunbeds which is rather unprofessional becasue they just randomise the price on the spot. This is very unreasonable considering that most of the people will eat anyway or drink something at the bar. It's not ok to force the people to have lunch (the food should be more quality because we had bad salad on the plate). If you have lunch they will charge you 25 eur on the sunbeds set.

Best ice coffee I’ve had on the whole trip. A bit pricy but expected. Nothing beats a succulent tender chicken souvlaki on a white sand beach!

The place is amazing, full of history, and it has a very unique charm. The only thing I missed was a little shop or a refreshment stand… The area is quite large, so I would have appreciated some place to buy water or a small snack😊

We visited Butrint National Park and were truly impressed – it’s a beautiful and enchanting place full of history. However, I left with the feeling that more investment is needed in the park. There’s still so much to be discovered, with some monuments partially buried or even underwater. It’s a site with huge potential that deserves more preservation and attention. I also think guided tours inside the park would be a great addition – I would happily pay to learn more about its rich and fascinating history!

I was hesitant to visit because of the summer heat, but the park is surprisingly shaded, and there's a lovely breeze from the water that keeps things comfortable. The archaeological site is fascinating, with explanations at each part of the monument to guide you through. It takes about an hour to walk around, and while some paths are a bit steep, it’s manageable, just be sure to wear good shoes. The views are stunning, especially from the acropolis. Don’t miss the walk up, it gives you a breathtaking view of the entire site.

Well worth the visit. The ancient city has a ton of history from greek, roman, ottoman and venetian times. Mix of ancient ruins and more recent castles. Unfortunately no turtles there in early October

Very interesting peninsula with many ruins of Ancient Greek, Roman and Medieval structures, highlighting the historic meaning of Butrint. The visit takes about 2-3 hours and despite the heat, it was still manageable thanks to the abundance of shade. Highly recommended to visit when you are in the south of Albania

Lovely place to walk and visit with a lot of history! As you spend some time here, would have been nice to be able to get a drink or a snack but there was no place to get at least a bottle of water. Make sure you bring something to drink or snack with you.

Fascinating place if you like history. I walked here one morning (slightly accidental as I was only supposed to stroll to the bay near my hotel but missed my turn). Spent a couple of hours wandering around the old ruins. It’s lot bigger than I expected and well worth the 1000 lek/10€. Traffic was gridlocked at the entrance / little ferry when I left though. Pleased I walked it despite the heat. It’s worth parking at the top in car park over looking the bay and walking the last bit

Went early and virtually had the place to myself. Saw the attractions and climbed to the lighthouse. The information points are very good and gave a good historical portrait of the fort and it's changes throughout history. I had no idea how important Corfu is and has been throughout history in this area for it's strategic significance or that the British had a protectorate here. A must do for sure.

good place to visit for €10. bit of a hike to the top and lots of uneven floors and walkways so wear proper walking shoes or trainers. the usual tourists and cruise ship customers. good views from the top and a quirky hidden ground level tunnel to the yacht club takes you to the sea if you want a dip in the waters.

For 10 EUR and some waiting in line (10 min) i have got the most smazing Fortress I have ever seen in my life. The complex is huge, it is like a city in the city. Breathtaking view, history by every step. I can recommend only! A women in front of me could get get in with a mini yorkie, dogs are not allowed.

The entry is 10 euro per person. You can see the Charles church up close then climb to the light house and enjoy beautiful views of old town and the port. Go in the morning because it gets super hot quickly.

Tickets cost €10. Admission is free for those under 25 :) I would definitely recommend. In early September there were no queues there. The fortress is very large. But with a quick walk you can get around it in 45 minutes including climbing the hill. Nice view of the harbor and Corfu Town.

This is oldest out of two fortresses that Corfu has. It will give you a nice bird eye view on old city and harbor. The hike up is relatively easy, but be careful the stones that make a trail up is quite slippery and I assume could be quite challenging if wet. So make sure that you have a comfortable footwear that are nonslippery. The fortres has a Cafe and restrooms where you can take a rest. The cost is €10

I recommend having a tour guide give you the history of this place. The statues around the villa are awesome. Give yourself an hour maybe a little more to go through this site.

Unfortunately the Palace itself was closed for renovations during our visit. However, we were able to explore the grounds which are beautiful and have amazing views. Disappointing we had to pay full entry fee for half of the experience.

Nice gardens, spectacular views and the gardens refurbishment is looking good. The building is not much more than 100 years old and is currently closed. The building must have looked impressive in it's heyday but has been neglected for a long time so is in a really poor state of repair. I felt quite sad to see it like this and expect a lot of time, money and skill will be needed to bring it back to it's former glory. Worth a visit but manage your expectations accordingly.

Beautiful place to visit and visit the Muses, as well as Achilles. ❤️ The building itself is currently being updated though, so you can't go in. The Gardens and statues are absolutely gorgeous though and it overlooks the city in the distance.

The garden was beautiful. Unfortunately the place is closed due to refurbishment. But there are couple of screens set up around the gardens where you can watch history of Sissi. You have to go and see massive statue of Achilles with a stunning view that will leave you speechless. Tickets for adult was €7 (only garden)

Beautiful location with imposing statues. The interior was closed at the time of our visit but I enjoyed seeing just the gardens for a slightly reduced fee.

I’ve rarely been so intrigued by a cathedral! 🤯⛪ The massive mosaic floor is absolutely fascinating — and at times, even a bit funny. It really gives you a sense of how little people knew about the world back then… and it’s wild to think it was all created by a single monk. The chapel containing the bones of 813 martyrs is chilling yet strangely mesmerizing 💀🕯️ The large crypt, with its forest of columns, feels both impressive and peaceful 🏛️ A definite must-see in Otranto!

This sacred space is unique. Learn about the floor beforehand, and then you will know about it when you visit. It is a whole mosaic floor following ancient techniques. It is a miracle that it was not covered with a new floor in the s XVII.

This is an amazing fit of architecture and art. It also does not feel heavy, not putting you down.

The artwork on the floor is unique, I have never seen a mosaic so big and so well preserved. The only ones that I remember are inside of Venice’s San Pietro (but geometrical shapes) and inside of Constantinople’s Hagia Sophia (but not so well preserved). It is definitely a must if you visit Salento. So much underrated.

I was drawn to visit this Cathedral. Free to enter and brows. Take photos and feel the history. Touch the stone behind the altar. Enjoy the picturesque town and sit by one of the sea side Cafe's and sip your Aperol spritzer.

Here is a place where you can see how ages ago people learned of the Bible. The mosaics told the story of the tree of life and the division of Heaven and Hell. Having survived the conversion to a Mosque and back most of the frescoes were destroyed... butfor some reason they left the images of Mary... and a few of Christ on the cross.

Super sandy beach on the Puglia coast with crystal clear waters. There is a walk into it, but you can avail of the shuttle and parking for €10. There is another carpark for €5 but without the shuttle. We actually walked out as there was a large crowd coming out at the time. Beautiful beach, with small cliffs to provide shade. Our kids loved it.

Just excellent. Clear water, beautiful colours, fine powdery soft sand. Better than most beaches on this side of Puglia.

Amazing view, very quiet beach with more local people, maybe because the season in September. Easy parking.

Beautiful beach, but parking and getting down to the beach is not that easy.

Crystal clear water with incredible fine white sand. We arrived around lunch time and still managed to find some space on the free beach. Bring sandwiches and water to avoid the constant queue at the only small bar. Plenty of parking with free shuttle near the beach, park in "Da Marco" €5.00 for the whole day 10 minutes walk from the beach. Bring time and peace, to relax, one of the most beautiful beaches in Puglia on the Adriatic coast.

beautiful beach and crystal clear water, the sand under your feet in the water feels heavenly, really!!! we are 8 billion people (almost 9) on this planet, and i think 6 billion of them were at the beach with us today. way too busy, the water wasn’t that busy though. beach clears up at around 18. would still recommend going. the walk is a bit far but it’s a nice one
