Children delighted with the trains going round the model village. Great models from all eras with shops, schools, a harbour, castles etc. Small indoor play area with dressing up. Great play area with climbing frames and slides. Food and drinks with some indoor seating and picnic tables outside. Extra bonus at the weekend was a display of birds of prey. Very good value day out.

We had a fantastic time dressing up, having a flutter, having photos taken, seeing royalty in the carriages and whilst waiting for them to leave Ascot, the band music and dancing! It's such a great atmosphere!

Fabulous place! I was amazed on the size, architecture and furnishings as well as the collections inside. The surrounding are is also beautiful and it’s gardens were nice too. It’s easily accessible and also offer bus ride to the house from the car park. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean and top notch. I would highly recommend a visit as there’s a lot to see. Might recommend spending a few hours to truly appreciate all of that is to see.

When we visited the UK, we definitely wanted to visit this site. For those who don't know, it is associated with the filming of The Repair Shop and in fact there was filming happening whilst we were there. A fantastic collection of historical buildings that can't be missed. Well worth the visit even if you have to come from London. Well recommended. We also decided to take lunch at the cafe and weren't disappointed. A+++

We used the Hampshire Top Attraction website to get discounted entry. It's a lovely clean attraction with a couple of cafes serving a variety of food and drink. We bought a picnic with us and there were plenty of places to stop and eat at picnic benches in the sun and shade. We didn't walk around until after lunch as our children enjoyed the new tree top adventure park so much. Even though we have young children the tree top adventure was safe for them and mostly big enough for us adults to climb up and walk upright with them, adults are also able to fit on the slides and we weren't the only ones having a go!! The birds are well cared for and we wandered around slowly, our children enjoyed looking into the exhibits and trying to find the different birds. They absolutely loved the exhibits where the birds were free roaming and flying around our heads. All in all it was a slow paced, relaxed day out enjoyed by all.

Beautiful National Trust property. Unusual as downstairs the rooms were more formal but upstairs very personalised by last owners who only moved out to another wing late last century. As usual, the volunteers were fantastic, tea room split over a number of rooms. Small gardens but large parklands to walk through. Definitely worth a visit.

Entry to the museum is free. The museum is multi-story (5 floors). It contains artifacts from ancient and modern times and from all past and present civilizations. The museum is enjoyable to spend time in and gain knowledge about past civilizations and take science, knowledge and lessons from them. If you get tired, you can take a break in the museum café located in the basement or the museum restaurant located on the fourth floor. Visiting the museum is enjoyable and culturally rich.

We pre-booked our tickets for a Saturday and arrived just as the car park opened at 10am. The short walk from the car park to the palace was lovely, setting the tone for the day ahead. Our first stop was the shops, where we treated ourselves to some chocolate… the white Montezuma in particular was absolutely delicious and worth recommending. Next, we headed up for the Rooftop Experience, which was fantastic. The views were spectacular, and the slightly bouncy stairs added an unexpected bit of fun! After that, we explored the palace interiors. Although some internal maintenance and restoration work is underway, it was well hidden and didn’t detract from the visit. We then enjoyed the Winston Churchill experience, which was fascinating and well presented, before moving on to the gardens. The grounds were stunning… beautifully kept and a real highlight of the day. To finish, we took the buggy tour around the estate, which was another fantastic experience and gave us a chance to appreciate the size and beauty of the parkland. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Blenheim Palace for a full and varied day out.

Went for my birthday as I love animals! The last time I went was when I was a young child. I Was really happy to see the penguins were still there, and I got to see the monkeys, snow leopard, lemurs and some beautiful birds. Sadly wasn't able to see the sloth or the tiger. Staff were very kind, and generally the place is accessibility friendly.

Today, we visited Highclere Castle, the place most famous for being the setting of Downton Abbey. I highly recommend this place for adults, but there isn’t much for children to do. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, considering the dry weather we have had. We purchased online the tour of the house, the Egyptian exhibition, and afternoon tea. The house is beautiful, but since there are only stairs and no lift, it can be difficult for people with mobility issues. Our hosts and guides were well informed and friendly. Letting people in small groups was a great idea, as some rooms and corridors are a bit cramped but still wonderful to see. It was nice to see all the pictures of our late Queen Elizabeth and her family on the sideboards and furniture around the house. The Egyptian exhibition was fantastic, and the artifacts are fascinating to see, as was the reproduction of Tutankhamun's treasures. Now for afternoon tea. The staff in the tea room are just wonderful, polite and very helpful, even taking pictures of those seated for Tea. The food was as I would expect in a stately home, rich, tasty, and more than enough. We had a fantastic day. Thank you!

Winchester Cathedral is a must see when visiting the city. It is the longest Gothic cathedral in Europe with stunning Norman and Gothic architecture. We took the free one hour tour which was amazing, the guide covered all the key spots and shared great stories. After the tour you can explore freely and take pictures. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or just want a peaceful place to visit, the cathedral has something for everyone.

First visit and can definitely say it won't be the last. What a truly lovely place. The animal enclosures are fabulous, clean and in keeping for each creatures needs. The gardens are stunning considering it is October, there were still some lovely flowers in bloom. Their restaurant was very clean and the carrot cake and coffee a perfect snack between strolling around. The gardens are set out in a way that is interesting to look at whilst walking between enclosures. It was soo clean and tidy. Great place to see some well cared for animals and birds.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the layout makes it easy to navigate. I also appreciated the range of food options available for a nice break in between shopping! The staff at various stores were friendly and helpful, creating a really pleasant experience overall. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend if you're in the area or planning a shopping day out!

Amazing piece of well preserved history. Enlightening and educational. Gardens were absolutely stunning and well maintained. Extensive collection of private objects, folklore and historical insights. It also boasts a pathway of several impressive replicas of animals made from driftwood, in an attempt to bring attention to the conservation of nature. The type of forward thinking other similar institutions should apply. Can easily spend half a day here, great for families. Recommend buying tickets in advance online as you get a 10% discount. Parking is plentiful.

We had a great time exploring Avebury. It was recommended by a friend. We explored the the area. Our National Trust passes came in handy. Although the stones are free, we used our passes to gain entry to the rest of the site. We visited the little museum, the dovecote, the church and the gardens. Sadly, the old manor was not open due to a flood. We had a wander around the village. They had an amazing cake sale, yes, we had cake. The gift shops, both NT and the village had some great gifts. Cafe and usual facilities. It was a gorgeous day, so it was busy. Having a blue badge got us parking in the village carpark. A fantastic day

We parked withput charge, in a small layby next to the lane off the main road opposite the Harvester. We didn't pay to go into the central area but thoroughly enjoyed exploring and finding out more about this fascinating ancient monument. Excellent interpretation panels and fantastic views. Photos don't do the size, scale and magnitude of the earthworks justice.

Brilliant place to visit. So steeped in history and mythology and the Heritage site has so much more than just the standing stones. The history is fascinating and the Exhibition centre does a great job at explaining the evolution of this Neolithic site. Fascinating to think the Megalithic temples in Malta predated Stonehenge by 1000 years and the Great Pyramids hailed from the same era! The bus to the stones and back run every 5 mins ( if you’ve bought the experience ticket) but you can walk to the stones in about 20 mins from the visitor centre. The stones themselves are magnificent and worthy of at least a couple of circuits around to take them in, appreciate the history and the lovely surrounding countryside ( main road excepted). Overall a great experience and it was a place I’d wanted to visit first many years. If I visit next time I’d just park up in the visitors car park (3.50/day) and then walk to the stones without paying the £30 for the experience as I’ve done that now. whilst the ticket price might seem a bit steep it’s probably not when you consider the development and maintenance of this world heritage site and area by English Heritage. I’d love to visit again at sunset or sunrise in the mid summer and winter solstices as the photos would be magnificent in the golden hour. Great visit and thanks to EH for preserving such an amazing piece of our heritage. Tip…try and get there early during summer as it is very popular with coach tours

An impressive building. It's amazing what was built back then with simple means. Compared to today, we can't do anything without electricity, steel, and glass. I highly recommend a visit. The staff are friendly, and the £5 donation is perfectly acceptable. The restrooms could be a bit cleaner, though.

We had a lovely afternoon walking around Westonbirt. The colours of the trees were spectacular. There are so many different trails you can walk through. It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon, but the parking was efficiently managed well. The grounds are huge, and there are plenty of signs on the paths and lots of information. This place is beautiful this time of year. The autumn colours are fabulous. It’s the perfect place for dog walkers too. There are some food stalls here and plenty of toilets around.

​Longleat Safari Park was an absolutely brilliant day out yet again—my fifth visit, in fact! The best part was easily the safari drive, and choosing the guided bus tour was a genius move. Our driver gave fantastic commentary, dropping great facts and making sure we all got a brilliant view—especially when we were nose-to-nose with the lions and those cheeky monkeys. The driver's humour, personality, and in-depth experience really stood out; that’s definitely something Longleat should be proud of. ​Just a heads-up though: get there as early as you possibly can! I made sure to explore the main grounds first this time. I highly recommend hitting the major attractions early before the crowds build up. Make the Boat Safari—to see the sea lions, gorillas, and monkeys—your first stop, followed up by the charming Longleat Railway. Both of those get busy really quickly. ​My one real bummer was finding out the penguin area was closed when I visited due to the avian bird flu pandemic. It was tough missing them, but totally understandable. Overall, Longleat is an outstanding family adventure and a must-do, but you’ll definitely need a solid plan to fit it all in!

Bath Abbey is an amazing place! The majestic architecture, beautiful stained glass, and incredible atmosphere are truly inspiring. The interior is richly decorated, and there is a gift shop as well as the opportunity to light candles. The tour provides lots of interesting insights into the Abbey's history. I highly recommend visiting to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this historic site.

Hadn't visited here since the 1970s! It's really been developed so well. Audio guides were great, with enough but not too much information. Whole experience was immersive and very interesting. Great on a rainy day. We spent 2 hours here and loved it.

We were overwhelmed to see this stunningly beautiful landmark during our recent day trip to Bath. Possibly the best example of Georgian Architecture. Facing a beautiful green lawn, a row of 30 terraced houses built about 250 years back, in the shape of a Crescent, offer a breathtaking view. On a nice sunny day, just admiring the beauty of this masterpiece, was so relaxing.

First visit here very impressive with extensive grounds. They certainly knew how to do it in style those days. Volunteers were very welcoming and informative. Plenty of rooms to visit with information books. Overwhelmed by the portraits so many such a lot to take in. Trees, grounds and temples were magnificent. Refreshments were very good plenty of choice especially near the pub. Combined a trip to Alfred s tower which is very close. Look how small the bricks are. Spent a good full day here

It certainly as the wow factor. If you an appreciation of masonry or intricate wood carving, this would be worth a visit. Beautiful stained glass. Full of history. Area set aside for parents with children. Lovely cafe which also has seating in a pleasant garden area along with a shop. Pleasant helpful staff. Well behave dogs are also allowed in the cathedral.

Having never been before, we saw a post on YouTube about this place. We thought it would be a good place to go to for a couple of hours. We went on a Friday when they had the night opening for the model illumination. Amazing! We walked around during the day so we were able to see the brilliant models in daylight. If you take the time to really look , you can see the details of every model. You also see the puns that are all around the park. Everything is lovely here, in the daylight and the inside displays are something else. Beautiful and ethereal. It's totally different during the night when all the models are illuminated by street lighting,car lights and lights in the model properties. Make sure you see the Tiny British Cake Off with the presenters old and new! There's a small mini golf to play for free as well. Café great choices, had the plant based pepperoni pizza, fabulous. Definitely worth visiting. We are going to be visiting again.

Me and my family really enjoyed our day here. Definitely enough animals to make a day out for the family. My kids loved the seeing all the animals but the giraffes, crocodiles and monkey's definitely stood out for us. Maps need updating for toilets as we found some in a different area than listed. Enjoyed the play areas, food areas and a little win a teddy section. Also enjoyed a lovely icecream. Would recommend!

We had our wedding at Dartmoor zoo in September 2025. Jade was very warm and welcoming and from the start made it a much less stressful experience. She answered questions and came up with solutions promptly. The team were accommodating with setting up our wedding and also clearing up after. We had an absolutely amazing wedding day and our guest all had a fantastic time. The meet the meerkats and falconry made it such a memorable day for everyone involved.
