This monastery is very beautiful, I have been there twice, there is a park next to it, it is a great place to take a walk with the family.

Nice monastery, to have a short walk in the garden. Is by the river. In one of the spaces can buy natural honey and other crafts.

Never been here before and today we come to look at Ortodox Christmas presentation for kids.My honest applause for these kids and for people who organising such presentation at all.Sad part what everything from start to the end looks really poor and even presentation decorations very old and bringing back into 90's or even more behind.Same as interier of building where was plenty parents with kids 😥 desperately need at least cosmetic renovation but probably don't have any budget for it.Don't wanna start any politic discussions here but that's main and one answer. No budget this year xm...For most famous and beautiful city in country and with Russian resources at all...Shame and sad

Powerfully place. Feels good the power of the monarchy. Must see to visit the cemetery of the Masters of art and other tombs.

Very beautiful church, but they will kick you out if you are wearing shorts!

Nice to stroll around the complex. There wasn't that much to see, so a brief stop will do. Not a must-do for those with a tight itinerary.

Beautiful place and rather authentic. Some of the staff are very friendly, others still use Soviet manners.

Observation deck
Museums
Contemporary galleries & shops in an ex-bread factory, plus cafes & a roof terrace with city views.
Very colorful and interesting place. A big variety of different small stores and street food booths that you will not find anywhere else in town. A lot of young people visiting and many shops are inspired by Japanese or Korean art/culture. They offer access to the roof terrace for a small fee, great place to hang out in summer. Also, if you need a local gift for the ones back at home, you should take a look at some of the shops here.
Martin A — Google review
A very interesting place to visit. Great place to visit if you're into arts or anime. Houses wide variety of clothing stores. Great observation deck too! Cool place.
Mustafa S — Google review
Quirky alternative and artistic mall nested in an old palace and with an accessible roof from which a different perspective of the city can be enjoyed. Born as a semi-clandestine culture center, it morphed over the years in an agglomerate of shops and bars with an artistic trendy flavor. The roof with a drink was - in our opinion - it's best feature
Tony B — Google review
Visited right after it opened. We wear the first one to visit the place. We had the place on our own. The ticket costs 300RUB per person. Recommended to visit in the afternoon or the evening. It is just near the metro approximately 5 minutes walk.
Ervin ( — Google review
Great place for artistic people! A lot of stores with a huge variety of goods. Many places to eat and relax. Also some exhibitions go there from time to time. They have a roof where one can relax and see Saint Petersburg. If you’re an artist, like movies or anime or just have some unusual views on fashion, life, ect. this place is so for you!
Elizaveta C — Google review
Interesting place to go and explore. 👏 More of a hipster area with street art. You can make photos of yourself in an old-school photo booth. 😉 There are nice variety of food places and very unique shops on the narrow street. Some restaurants also have an outside area you can relax. Love the architecture of the shops - square shape and placed so that the tip would be made from glass and you can see inside. There is also a Chinese shop there for Chinese medicine, herbs and other things. All shops there sell designed things and little out of the box versions of things. Very enjoyable to see where St Petersburg culture is and fashion is heading.
Daisy P — Google review
Interesting to visit, but the view from the roof is not the best.. how entrance to the roof is 150 roubles - very cheap, so you can just spend some time enjoying fresh air on the roof and lay on the huge funny cushions

Unique place,, great idea because this was a factory before they transfer it to small shopping boths and boutiques.. a little bit hot in the summer but a great experience

Nestled within a bustling shopping mall, the Saint Petersburg Oceanarium stands as a remarkable family-friendly attraction and the first of its kind in Russia. This captivating destination boasts over 45,000 aquatic creatures from more than 150 species, including mesmerizing sharks, playful seals, and vibrant tropical fish. Visitors can embark on an unforgettable journey through a tunnel where they’ll find themselves surrounded by swimming sharks and other fascinating marine life overhead.
We absolutely loved this experience, our 19 month old son was in his element, excitedly pointing out all these exotic looking fish and sea critters. A highly enjoyable experience and a heated environment. We went mid winter.
Alexander H — Google review
First time I was here was 6 years ago, I visited again today and it's still an awesome place to visit. Everything is very clean, the lighting in the tanks is great! Good variety, lots of sea life to watch.
Pablo — Google review
I likes this place a bit crowdy good for kids even for adults who likes fishes . Variety of fishes across the globe are there. For each fish they maintained proper aura with sound effects. I likes star fish as this my first experience. Piranha was available. Sharks are there. Penguins and seals are I the last. Jelly fish was amazing and snake fish alsi available. The cave was amazing there is a conveyer belt just stand on that and it will take you through that cave made of glass and you will feel like small shark is going to attack you as they are swimming close to your head. Just was the best part of oceanarium . Any tourist must visit this place. Hope this will help you.
Parveen S — Google review
Very good place in St Ptb. It is almost as good as the aquarium in Moscow. The only bad stuff is that there is not enough distance between people, and sometimes people is too near.
Laura S — Google review
Worth going with kids. Even if there are posters with “no photoshoot has with light” there are authorized staff who will take professionally photos of you and your family. During shows like feeding a shark there are a hole lot of people and you have to take your sit beforehand. Otherwise you won’t be able to see anything. Observing area is very very small. Some fishes are in not so good condition from my point of view (i don’t have any knowledge in tho field though), but their tanks are to small to maneuver. Makes me sad 😞 Souvenir shop is full of seashells.
Gin G — Google review
There is animal abuse, how is possible that a turtle doesn't have any space to move because there is not enough room, and the excuses for it aren't good reasons
Ema G — Google review
Amazing place with thousands of different fishes . But some fishes had too little space to move around .

Can spend 2 hours here you can get here by metro and by taxi .next to it there is a very nice park for kids to play ! 10/10 very impressive! You can see all Russia in a mini very detailed style !
Amira A — Google review
Amazing Miniature World – Best Place for Kids in St. Petersburg! Grand Maket Russia is one of the most impressive and fun attractions we visited in St. Petersburg—especially for kids! It’s a huge, detailed miniature model of the entire country, showing cities, villages, trains, cars, and even people in everyday life scenes. The level of detail is incredible, and the moving parts, lights, and sound effects make it feel alive. Children will love the interactive buttons that activate trains, cars, animals, and even volcanoes! The day-to-night lighting effect is magical and adds to the experience. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here exploring all the little scenes. It’s also educational and entertaining for adults. The museum is clean, well-organized, and easy to reach by metro or taxi. There’s even a small park nearby for kids to play after the visit. Highly recommended for families—a must-visit if you're traveling with children in St. Petersburg!
Athif A — Google review
Grand Maket Russia is such an entertaining and fascinating attraction! The amount of detail is incredible,,, funny, cute, & spectacular little scenes are tucked into every corner, making it a delight to explore. As a family interested in all of Russia, we spent about 40 minutes to an hour walking around & could have easily stayed longer. One of the most impressive parts was the display of military and naval bases, which was both educational & engaging. It’s a great place to watch, learn, & simply enjoy the artistry and storytelling of the miniature world. A very important tip: arrive at least an hour before the closing time. The last ticket sales happen one hour before the museum closes. Some online sources say Grand Maket stays open until 9 PM on Wednesdays and Fridays this is incorrect. When we visited on a Wednesday, we arrived at 6:55 PM expecting a later closing, only to find the ticket office already shutting down. Staff confirmed their hours are 10 AM to 8 PM daily. Other than that, the experience was wonderful, the place is absolutely worth a visit if you’re in St. Petersburg.
Salama A — Google review
I couldn’t get enough videos and photos. Some details in there are just amazing. Started in 2008 and took about 5 years to build and still working on it , repairing and maintaining it to work for display is hard work. With day and night features , every details of lighting and movements is fine work. Highly recommend

How much to say I can’t elaborate on how beautiful this place is . Entrance is very easy they gave us a family price coz we were a group of 5 adults and 4 kids paid for adults 570 and kids 530. And after you can have a meal in the the nice cafeteria which has good food . Thank you

Grand Market is a private museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is a model layout designed on a scale of 1:87. In this area, collective images of regions of the Russian Federation are represented. It is the largest model layout in Russia and the second largest in the world. The model is located in a two-story building built in 1953, in the style of Stalin’s empire. They give binoculars for rent to view miniature models. It has night and day effects light also, which i s magnificent. This is a must visit site in st. petersberg.

Really nice model of Russia that we absolutely loved! Spend at least an hour here. From the simulated sunrise and sunset to all the details that are captured (like the types of cars, trees, animals, etc.), this was a great place for us to get an idea of what we'd see on our trip across Russia.

Spanning over 600 hectares, it's renowned as one of Europe's finest landscape parks. During summer, the park blooms with diverse flowers and offers families a perfect place for leisurely walks.
Magnificent place with intricate ceilings, beautiful in laid floors, spectacular chandeliers and amazing art work. Each room more grand than the other. What palace would be complete without its own theater!
Keith B — Google review
A very beautiful and big park where one could walk and contemplate beauty for hours. There are lots of trees that look like a wild forest but it is obvious that they are also looked after. I did not go into the museums so can't say about them.
Ilina I — Google review
Beautiful palace not far from the more touristy Tsarskoye Selo. Beautiful, intimate rooms in a fabulous park setting. The interiors are exquisite. No crowds when I visited. I recommend paying extra to see the private apartments of the dowager empress
HL R — Google review
Really great place to walk around. Visited in winter. Beautiful snow and icy Park. Probably even better in summer
Daniel V — Google review
A park that my family loves to walk during the summer. Our trip out this weekend was a bit early in the season and the weather was a bit chilly. During the summer that gardens are full or different kinds of flowers. There are even parts of the park where a person can go and lay out in the grass, a true luxury in Russia. Be sure and bring some nuts as there are many hungry squirrels who will gladly come get them out of your hand. This is a lot of fun for kids.

Museum "Tsarskoye Selo" is a captivating historic site that encompasses multiple imperial palaces and an extensive landscaped park adorned with beautiful gardens. It's advisable to make reservations in advance as the place tends to be crowded, especially during the fall season when the enchanting walks through the park are particularly popular.
Beatiful palace in a pleasant town. Nice gardens and beautiful architecture. Make sure your camera/phone is charged. You will be taking a lot of pictures. Just remember the palace itself is closed on Tuesdays. Gardens are still available though.

Everything was ok except for the exorbitant price for a ticket for a foreigner. 2500 rubles for a 30 minute tour with minimal English. In Europe we have the same prices for everyone.
Marián T — Google review
I come back after 8 years. The exterior and the park are really amazing, a must see. About the interior tour, re her living zone, which I did for the first time, well, I am not sure is something to be seen... First of all you will discover that almost everything was bombed or robbed during second world war, so you are looking to a replica, which is taking away all the magic from it since......since let us be honest, interiors are unreal ugly. Too much of everthing without real balance and well thought details. And when you see it as a replica, you start to think 💬 well why to remake such a kitsch interior and not even to the end (not all the rooms have been restored until the end ). Also, the guide we had was so boring, lots of details repeating over and over... In general, the visit to the interior I won't recommend it, you won't loose anything. The park yes, that is a piece of art to be seen.
Ugo R — Google review
Beautiful. Grand. Bold. The palace is stunning and both the Catherine and Alexander parks are beautiful. I really want to visit the Alexander Palace when it opens after renovations. Which may take years sadly. The Amber Room is amazing. The post war photos of the destruction are sobering
HL R — Google review
Exhilarating experience to see so much grandeur and beauty! The interiors of Catherine's Palace are truly awe-inspiring, especially the Amber Room. Entry into the Palace always involves a longish queue, but it's worth it. If you have the stamina, don't miss out the stunning Palace gardens either. As splendid as the Palace interiors.
Sumer S — Google review
A great place just a train or a bus ride from St. Petersburg. The park is beautiful and the palace tour is nice. Be prepared to wait in line for about 30 minutes to an hour since there are a lot of visitors and due to the capacity, only certain number are allowed every 15 minutes.
Milan S — Google review
Beautifully restored back to almost original greatness. Displays the crazy wealth of the Romanovs. Also a nice example of the Russian taste for gold and ornaments. Best to visit off season to avoid the largest hordes of tourists.
Thomas R — Google review
A don't miss site in St Petersburg. Tickets go on sale 30 days prior, don't miss the date, they will be sold out 29 days prior (the tixs for Catherine Palace). You can still get a tix via a long line or by joining a tour. All of the rooms are beautiful but the amber room alone is worth the visit.

Catherine Park is a sprawling urban park that was once the estate of a nobleman. It features lush greenery, ponds, and walking paths. The park reflects the preferences of multiple generations of Romanovs, blending elaborate formal gardens with a picturesque landscaped park adorned with charming follies. Visitors can explore various attractions within the park for an admission fee, including the Grotto, Maids of Honour Garden, and Hanging Garden.
In keeping with all the opulence the Catherine Park is amazing again I am glad I did not have to fit the bill over the years. But a number of splendid features and it takes a long time to walk around. It took us a few hours to cover all the sites and take in the atmosphere.

Amazing park, need at least two hours to walk around!
Miki T — Google review
Catherine Palace, it is a park in Tsarskaya Village, Russia, located 25 km southeast of St. Petersburg. Catherine Park gets its name from Catherine Palace, and the park is divided into two parts: the Garden and the English Garden. When you come to St. Petersburg, you should take a stroll and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the area
C J — Google review
The park itself is nice, but the palace is super underwhelming inaccessible. You have to buy ticket for each small section of the palace, and it’s quite pricey as well. In addition, there is absolute no English translation, no English audio or tour guide, and the staff does not speak any English at all as well.
Minh N — Google review
There are a lot of beautiful places around the world where you will feel happy and relaxed yourself. And Catherine Park is definitely one of those places. I had so warm walk with my soulmate in the amazing place with incredible views just everywhere you turn your head. The perennial trees, ponds, beautiful buildings with a long history. So precious moments of life.🤍
Farida S — Google review
My family's favorite park grounds. We walk the grounds at least once a year. There are lots of fun paths for kids to explore. If you bring nuts you can also sometimes feed squirrels or chickadees. Don't forget to walk behind the palace to the left and explore some lovely gardens with statues there.
Aaron B — Google review
Amazing gardens. There are several pavilion to visit and they all have wildly different styles, which makes it fun. Some are available to visit with a ticket (like the amazing Cold Baths, where the Agathe Rooms are located) and some can be visited for free (like the Chinese style pavilion and the Italian Style pavilion with authentic roman mosaics from the 2nd century) Just strolling around is nice, and they are more chilled than Petergof, with lots of locals enjoying the scene.

The Alexander Park, established in the 1770s and expanded by Emperor Alexander in the early 19th century, offers a serene natural setting for various recreational activities. Unlike the Catherine Park, it is overgrown with pine trees and conifers, creating a mysterious atmosphere linked to the last Tsar. The park features water bodies weaving through wild forest-like landscapes and even boasts Pushkin's famous natural spring.
Very clean and immense. I was there at the end of October. The trees are no longer leafy, there are few and for an autumn photo, you don't have the desired effect. I think it's my fault, but it'll certainly be better in winter. On the other hand, it's really beautiful.

A truly beautiful park that reminded me a lot of the palace gardens in Potsdam. Although the park is located next to the Katharinenpark, it is much quieter and you can enjoy the green of nature.

Gatchina Palace, one of the largest and most opulent 18th century palace & gardens in Russia, has a museum with fine art, antiquities, and weaponry. It is located near Saint Petersburg.
Very nicely restored new rooms. Audio guide is recommended. Trip down stairs to the passage is fun especially for the children.

So impressive with this palace. I went there on autumn 2017. Outside in the morning was so quiet and no signs for tourists where is entrance but Russian pointed over there. Ticket price is 350 rubles for adults. There are 3 floor and 1 basement. Museum keepers was so nice and always try to tell history of this place even my Russian skill is fair.

An interesting tour of the main restored halls and the gardens in the courtyard, many exhibits are replicas (which is mentioned by the tour guide), the halls themselves have standard interiors with luxury and lots of furniture. The area in front of the palace is covered with granite chips with a monument to Paul I. In the courtyard there is a monument to Alexander III with a very interesting design, it is worth a look. It's better to come half an hour before the tour to have time to see the armory and basement, since the second part of the tour involves leaving the museum without the possibility of returning.

The huge palace of Emperor Paul just started to turn into a museum. For a long time there was a naval school. Now museums are much smaller than a quarter of the building, but restoration work is underway. A special impression is left by the private chambers and the office of Emperor Alexander 3. Small rooms and low ceilings contrast sharply with the luxury of the rest of the building.

The Great Gatchina Palace is a palace in Gatchina, Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It was built from 1766 to 1781 by Antonio Rinaldi for Count Grigori Grigoryevich Orlov, who was a favourite of Catherine the Great, in Gatchina, a suburb of the royal capital Saint Petersburg. The Gatchina Palace combines classical architecture and themes of a medieval castle with ornate interiors typical of Russian classicism, located on a hill in central Gatchina next to Lake Serebryany. The Gatchina Palace became one of the favourite residences of the Russian Imperial Family, and during the 19th century was an important site of Russian politics. Since the February Revolution in 1917 it has been a museum and public park, and received UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 1990.

Empress gave this palace to her lover who killed her husband, the emperor. When lover died she gave the palace to her son, who hated her and loved his killed Emperor father. Son became the emperor himself and build a brand new palace-castle where he was killed by his men. Do you still need the GoT if you have real history of Russian Empire?

Nature & Parks
Parks
Dvortsovyy Park, a stunning expanse of 143 hectares, is the oldest among Gatchina's parks and offers a delightful escape for nature lovers. Nestled by a picturesque lake, this park features lush botanical gardens, expansive grass lawns perfect for picnics, and an inviting amphitheater.
(Translated by Google) Nice beautiful park. A great place to take a walk with children. The park is quite clean. The area is large, so it will take a whole day to get around it. The Gatchina Palace itself is also very beautiful - it’s worth visiting. And be sure to visit your own garden. Huge carps swim in the Carp Pond) In the park there are tame squirrels - they run up to get the nuts themselves. The only negative is that admission is usually free, but on children’s day they made it paid, thank you for at least letting the children in just like that. Well, the lake is not cleaned - it’s dirty. I understand that money is needed to maintain the park; maybe the management should think about paying a minimum entrance fee on weekends (as in the Central Park of Culture and Culture), and not on Children’s Day.

(Translated by Google) The park is beautiful. We spent several hours in it, not the first time, and not the last. We live nearby. But! I was surprised by the uncut, even neglected lawn, with bald patches of dandelions. I’m not talking about the lawn throughout the park, but where it usually was ideally. The park is not friendly to visitors. Entrance is 150 rubles and there are also paid toilets. 30 rubles each. The toilets themselves are not ideal; there is not much water in the tap or paper to wipe your hands. In a cafe where I bought tea and coffee several times, the saleswoman literally told everyone, why are there so many of you... And this was on Saturday, when in reality there were not many people. Ducks, swans, carps, pigeons and mice are beautiful.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful, amazing park! The Palace Park is the oldest among the Gatchina parks / Prioratsky, Zverinets, Sylvia /. The area is 143 hectares. The main building of the park is the Grand Gatchina Palace. The park does not have the fountain ensembles that Peterhof is rich in, there is no luxurious decoration that amazes in the Chinese Palace of Lomonosov, there is no abundance of pavilions and sculptures like in Pushkin and Pavlovsky parks. Gatchina Park has a special charm - it is the most picturesque! The landscape with many lakes is one of the best achievements of Russian landscape art of the second half of the 18th century. The park is located on the banks of the White and Silver Lakes. Two periods of creation of the park - Orlovsky and Pavlovsky. In the Orlovsky period, in addition to Russian conifers, oaks, maples, larches, vases, willows, ash trees and lindens were planted. The Eagle Column, the Chesme Obelisk, the Echo Grotto and the Octagonal Well for the Underground Spring near the Silver Lake were erected according to the design of the architect A. Rinaldi. During the Pavlovsk period, the Upper and Lower Dutch Gardens, the Botanical Garden and the Private Garden were created. The Stone Bastions, the Forest and Large Palace Greenhouses, the Eagle Pavilion, terraces and stairs, piers, several bridges and gates, the Birch House portal, the Constable Obelisk and the square with parameters and bastions were erected according to the design of the architect V. Brenna. At the end of the 18th century, the talented Russian architect N. Lvov built the Birch House, the Amphitheater, the Bridge - a ruin with cascades, the Priory Palace from rammed earth.

Some of them are used for religious purposes for some reason: there are icons, fonts, booths for prayer, etc. Moreover, everything was done cheaply and ugly. It is perceived as visual garbage. The park has a ring path, dirt surface, one bench, and a memorial cross. And many, many signs stating that you need to leave the park during a hurricane) Nothing more. There is parking and a toilet. There is no bicycle parking, no points of sale for food/drinks, no recreation areas, no children's or sports areas, no swings, etc. no, there are no wifi zones or charging gadgets. I hope that after restoration this object will be much more interesting and spectacular than it is now. There is a straight alley and centuries-old trees, yes, they are beautiful and powerful, but everything is overgrown with young trees and bushes, so that one would like to say that this is not a park, but a dense, impenetrable forest. You can leave your car in the parking lot (next to the estate) And the estate itself is located on a hill, and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The estate is surrounded by a park. The central alley is decorated with centuries-old alleys and oak trees. In the depths of the park there are karst red-colored caves of natural origin. Springs gush out of the rocks. One of the springs is considered holy. They say the spring has healing properties (helps with eye diseases). We, of course, washed ourselves with water from the spring, and even drank a little, albeit from the palm of our hand. But people filled bottles with water. There is even a plunge pool that you can take a dip in (next to the locker room). We climbed through the caves. The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining. The sky was absolutely incredible. Therefore, first we walked around the park, and then we went to the estate. The Nabokov-Rukavishnikov estate (V. Nabokov’s mother, née Rukovishnikov). The museum recreates the atmosphere of a typical Russian noble estate of the early 20th century. Beautiful living room, living rooms. We restored the kitchen with various utensils in the basement. The estate displays various photos from Nabokov’s albums, household items from the early 20th century, etc. The trip turned out to be interesting and beautiful.

Small car parking, bicycle parking. There seems to be a park at the estate, but it has no boundaries. A couple of picturesque viewing platforms on the lake. Several gazebos. The rest of the territory is neglected and overgrown with hogweed. Navigation is present, but could be better. There is no children's playground. The museum recreated the estate from memories and photographs. Some things, or rather genuine pieces of furniture, were returned to the estate by local residents, which had been dismantled during a fire many years ago. It was educational. The excursion must be booked in advance, the cost is 1200 rubles for everyone and it doesn’t matter how many people, the main thing is no more than five). The only upsetting thing is that there are only three originals in the estate, the rest are all reproductions. If you love the paintings of this amazing artist, look for them in large museums. I liked the stands with archaeological finds, I’m thinking more and more about my old childhood dream, I want to go to the excavations! Who is interested, take me with you, please)!!! In general, come to Izvara, visit the museum and be sure to take a walk along the eco-trail, along the estate paths, there is also a lot of interesting things there) (Original) «Все особенное, все милое и памятное связано с летними месяцами в Изваре» – писал Н.К.

(Translated by Google) We listened to a very interesting, lively and emotional tour from a young employee! Thank him very much! A large area planted with trees by Nicholas Roerich himself, a linden alley. The nice manor house has 2 floors, where various exhibits from the life of Roerich and his family are presented. Interesting archaeological section. Entrance to the museum for adults is 250 rubles. (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) In addition, on the territory of the estate there is an original carriage - a landau, a barn-workshop, stables, and a school (behind a fenced area). There are also lakes here that feed springs gushing out of the ground (you can see the sand moving). Many different birds. I highly recommend it for a break from the city and if you are interested in the art and history of this region.

This is a wonderful place, the whole atmosphere is imbued with silence, calm and tranquility. Maybe that’s why the famous artist loved to return here, to the places of his childhood. The museum's exposition presents furnishings, reproductions of paintings, and highlights the stages of the life of N.K. Roerich and his family. It is disappointing that it was not possible to preserve the estate’s buildings from vandals. The barn burned down due to fire. Pskov Krom, also known as Pskov Kremlin, is a medieval fortress with two imposing towers dating back to the 16th century. The region is rich in historical attractions such as museums, estates, churches, and monuments. Inside the citadel lies an ancient church with a towering iconostasis believed to be over 500 years old. Visitors can climb the walls for panoramic views of the monastery and the city along the river.
An old white cremlin with mighty walls. Inside there is an old church with probably the highest iconostas in Eurasia which probably is over 500 years old. Furthermore you can climb the walls and enjoy a beautiful view all over the monastery and the city between the river.

Svyato-Troitskiy Kafedral'nyy Sobor, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Trinity, is a striking 17th-century Orthodox cathedral located in the Kremlin of Pskov. This magnificent structure features a blindingly white exterior with a golden dome that can be seen from afar. The cathedral has a rich history, having been consecrated in 1699 and being the fifth church to stand on this site since the 11th century.
Path to church is an experience. We had a chance to travel with a tour guide. Makes the experience even more fulfilling. Definitely recommend to experience with a guide but do your own reading or research and ask lot of questions.

This is the fourth building of the cathedral, built on the site of earlier buildings of the X-XIV centuries. It is famous for its iconostasis, one of the tallest in Russia - the 42-meter iconostasis contains 7 rows of icons. The cathedral contains an icon dedicated to the defense of Pskov from the troops of Stefan Batory in 1581 and returned by Germany in 2001, a silver shrine with the relics of three Pskov saints who saved the city from the wrath of Ivan the Terrible. In 1935 it was closed and used as an anti-religious museum. Worship services were resumed during the German occupation and have not been suspended since then. (Translated by Google) The goal is to see the Pogankin Chambers themselves, what this preserved and restored building looks like from the inside. And, rather as a bonus, these are two exhibitions. These expositions change, so I won’t dive into what we found. In general, the time for inspection will be around 20-40 minutes, depending on your interest. Probably what I would like to draw attention to is the different levels of the caretakers: Some constantly pulled back (yes, a child of 4.5 is interested in his surroundings within the limits of what is permitted, he does not touch the paintings with his hands, but he can run through the gallery and sing something at the same time), and some - then he told me something interesting about the theme of the exhibition. In general, the inspired expectation was spoiled by the twitches. It’s interesting to look at the Chambers, but I would like to bring the caretakers to a common denominator: a museum is not a library, the exhibits and what they see provoke discussion, and walking in silence just because the caretaker is tired - you know..

Although, frankly, it’s very uninformative .Three halls (rooms) from a huge building. We expected to go through, if not all, then at least most of it. We are perhaps disappointed with this. There is almost nothing about the chambers themselves, I would like more information and exhibitions about the time of construction, to learn more about the household and lifestyle. Although, the exhibition brightened up this trouble a little, of course. I have no desire to visit a second time. I’ll add a photo, in case this becomes a decisive factor for you in making a decision. Holy Assumption Monastery is a captivating destination that offers visitors a glimpse into the rich history of Russian literature and culture. Nestled in a picturesque location, it boasts stunning views of the surrounding cityscape. (Translated by Google) Located in a beautiful location, wonderful view of the city. A beautiful place for a walk. The modern appearance of the monastery is a complex of buildings surrounded by an old stone fence. You can get inside through one of two gates: Pyatnitsky, near which stood the now destroyed church of the same name, and Anastasyevsky, near which there was a chapel of the same name (also no longer existing). Now you can see a small stone gatekeeper. Near the Pyatnitsky (or Holy) Gate there is the house of the governor of the early 20th century. Another gate named after the lost church today, Nikolsky, connects the holy and trading courtyards of the monastery. The main attractions of the monastery are the Assumption Cathedral and the Hannibal-Pushkin family tomb. In the aisle of the first, a coffin with Pushkin’s body was placed on the eve of the funeral service. The name of A. S. Pushkin, who lived in Mikhailovskoye, is closely connected with the monastery, which he often visited. While working on Boris Godunov, the poet spent a lot of time in the monastery archives, studying ancient chronicles and historical works in order to make his drama as authentic as possible. In addition, the monastery hosted fairs that were famous throughout the area, where the poet also often visited in search of types. At the entrance they sell food for animals, it is inexpensive - 50 rubles. Be sure to buy food, as feeding animals is a lot of fun.)))))) The zoo is private, not state-owned. Many thanks to the creators of this zoo and I wish it further promotion! Of the minuses: The road to the zoo is bad, about 1 km along a dirt, tooth-crushing road. Take care of the suspensions of your cars.)))) No cafe, no food or drinks to buy There are many unlabeled cages with animals. (Translated by Google) A wonderful and, I would say, open-air petting zoo. As a native resident of St. Petersburg, I recommend this zoo for a trip with children, even more than to the unfortunate Leningrad Zoo, which over the past 50 years has not been able to move to larger open spaces and continues to huddle in the cramped “stone bag”. Animals feel good and free here, as it is clear that they grow up in love and care. And most importantly, they have enough air. The microclimate in these places is warmer and much drier than swampy St. Petersburg. Animals that may pose at least some danger are fenced off from humans, and Geese and the like, as well as little Bambi, rabbits and or hares walk freely in the park with people. Of course, sometimes they just run away from little bully kids. But in most cases, all animals can be fed. Just don’t forget that not everyone likes carrots, and your fingers may be confused with food. For example, a huge beak almost tore my smartphone out of my hands with which I was filming.

The place itself is amazing, modern, awaking curiosity and interest. Unfortunately foreign guests that come spontaneously do not seem to be welcome. Otherwise it is inexplicable that you are expected being the owner of a smartphone, handling it that well that you might be able to listen to English explanations on your ( non- existing! )smartphone. So we had to give up the idea of visiting a certainly interesting museum because only Lithuanian explanation was available. Possibly the museum rethinks its way of communication and invests in some audioguides that can be used independently from smartphones. In times where everyone speaks about inclusion and participation one should also not forget to include the digital retards, as we are.

I’ve visited this place a few times now, the tree top walk and viewing platform are great fun. The view from the viewing platform is great, but a word of warning the floor is constructed from metal grates so you can see though it - you’ll need a head for heights. During the summer there can be lots of mosquitoes as I found out, I’d recommend wearing trousers! Well worth a visit.

The Tree Top Walking Path offers a unique and refreshing experience walking among the treetops with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding forest. The path is mostly flat and accessible, making it suitable for all ages. The highlight is the observation tower with breathtaking vistas and a fun 55-meter tunnel slide for some added adventure. The adjacent Adventure Forest playground is perfect for families, with plenty of activities for kids. The staff are friendly, and the facilities, including clean toilets, are well maintained. It's a peaceful nature escape with interesting birdwatching opportunities and beautiful seasonal colors, especially in autumn. A small entry fee applies, but the experience is well worth it. Hi everyone. That's true rewies. This time Puntukas stone. Going on weekend with a god weather? Go very early. Really busy, but REALLY nice.... they r selling kebabs😂😂ok that's true but am joking. Nothing to right about, but go. For 100% it's good for kids, weather, free parking (if u gonna find it). Don't take dogs, not everywhere its allowed.

Slightly worn out papers on the history of the place, and on the top of the tower over viewing the area, the words are barely readable. Other than that 5 stars

Mother of all stones. The place is massive but it could have been more interesting if they gave more history. Where they found it, how hard to put it in place and the carving of the two Lithuanian pilots, which was done in secret as Soviet Lithuania did not recognized them as heros.

It is the second largest boulder in Lithuania. In 1943 the sculptor Bronius Pundzius completed the bas-reliefs and words from the testaments of Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, the pilots that have flown across the Atlantic Ocean.

You can tell the stone is ancient and has seen many souls over the centuries
