(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach, equally beautiful lido. Kindness and hospitality, young and informal atmosphere. One flaw: the staff at the bar are not expert and it's a shame it's like having a Ferrari and not knowing how to drive it. The food is good but the staff at the tables are slow and minimal. We should invest in professionalism because the place deserves it (Original) Bella spiaggia, lido altrettanto bello. Gentilezza e accoglienza, atmosfera giovane e informale. Bisognerebbe investire su professionalità perché il luogo merita

(Translated by Google) September 2023 - Bathing establishment on the Adriatic Sea, 2 steps from Torre dell'Orso. Very beautiful beach removed from public enjoyment as usual, the stay was very pleasant despite the north wind that agitated the sea. Gorgeous colors as seen in the photos. New umbrellas, deckchairs and sunbeds, the positions are a little too close together. I can't say anything about prices since I was invited. At the bar, a classic Algida croissant is 3 euros, a maxi one is 3.50, a coffee is 1.20. Bathroom built in wood quite clean but it is September and there are very few people (Original) Settembre 2023 - Stabilimento balneare sul mar adriatico a 2 passi da torre dell' orso. Bagno costruito in legno abbastanza pulito ma siamo a settembre e c'è pochissima gente

I think they could have made the small gelato 2 euros, but I think they're doing it to compensate for the winter's decline. I appreciate the artisanal gelato that's always there. Basilica di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria is a late-Romanesque and Gothic church in the town of Puglia, Italy. It is considered a national monument and features a facade in an Apulian-Romanesque style. The interior is adorned with richly painted frescoes dating back to the 14th century, depicting angels with musical instruments and medieval paintings in magnificent colors.
The most interesting church in Lecce province, the brightest gem of local art. All walls and vaults are covered with precious frescoes of XIV-XV centuries. There are 5 great cycles of frescoes: Gospel, Genesis, Apocalypse, life of Virgin Mary, life of St Catherine

Incredible paintings all over the walls, a place where history becomes tangiable. And a lovely old warden as well!
Erk M — Google review
When you visit Italy (whatever you are) you will find a church very close one to another This situation is repeated in the south region of La Puglia In this case and based on recommendation done by a person who live in Malendugno I decided to visit this Basilica that belongs to 14th century For my surprise, this Basilica is plenty of images (paintings) on the wall very different in comparison with other church’s or Cathedral It has been so interesting to visit it With these comments some pictures that I have taken
Javier S — Google review
One of a kind church, with lots of afrescos paintings all around. If you are around, the church is worth a visit.
Claudia F — Google review
Stunning frescoes, and quite a different church from what we’ve seen elsewhere in Puglia. Definitely worth a visit. It would be great if there was more information about the paintings available for visitors.
Dorota S — Google review
I am not easily impressed and usually feel like a bit overwhelmed by the number of churches I have seen in Europe. But this one was like a WOW, full of amazing medieval paintings all over in such magnificent colors. This is one of the most impressive churches I have seen in Italy. Do not miss it if you are in the area.

Incredible ruins of a Roman Amphitheater where gladiatorial fights took place within the centro storico of Lecce. Incredible!

An interesting landmark, but I wish it were better highlighted and cared for 🏛️ It lacks informative signs or context for visitors, which makes the experience feel a bit underwhelming. With a little more effort, it could be much more engaging and memorable.

An interesting small scale Roman coliseum off the city square, there’s a church from the same time period situated directly opposite from this, rest of the ruins is underground the pavement.

Shame. The historic site doesn't seem to be taken care of by the city of Lecce. It looks unattended for. Trash and weed and it looks abandoned.

One of the most beautiful basilica I’ve ever seen in my life the architecture from outside and inside was incredible really worth doing it it’s part of the five places journey you can make in this town and it’s all in one ticket and it’s really worth it

Beutiful facade. 7e entrance fee just not worth it. Girls at the entrance not very friendly. Couldn't even tell me te entrance pirce, when we asked.
Florian M — Google review
Very nice Basilica to visit and the front in the white limestone and with its carvings are spectacular. The ticket price is rather steep at 7€ for just the basilica with another 20€ to go up the tower. The best value is the 11€ ticket that gets you into the cathedral and 2 other churches as well. Now that is worth it and it is like a treasure hunt by following the map and getting you around the old city.
Simon R — Google review
You have to pay to visit this basilica, but it's worth paying €21 to buy a ticket that gets you in all the main churches and tower for that price. It's a beautiful building with a colourful history. You can visit all the main sites in a day, but it's a beautiful little city, and I used it as a base to explore other towns and cities by train.

The Basilica di Santa Croce is a jaw-dropping example of Lecce’s Baroque mastery. The façade is bursting with detail — angels, columns, animals, and a stunning rose window. Visited in July of 2024. Absolutely stunning. I was mind blown by the beauty and the detail of the church, inside and out! The tickets aren’t that expensive. The interior is intricately decorated with paintings. Another church as beautiful as this one is rare to find.

Absolutely breathtaking Baroque cathedral in the heart of Lecce. The façade is richly detailed, with statues, symbols, and elegant columns. Inside, the atmosphere is serene and spiritually uplifting. A must-visit landmark in Puglia. Un capolavoro del barocco leccese, da non perdere!

A beautiful square with connecting little streets. This church and its surroundings are truly stunning. However, tickets are required here, which is a bit disappointing, as one wouldn’t expect it for this type of monument. Moreover, they are sold on the other side of the square.

Punta della Suina is an absolutely fantastic beach, but you need to go when the wind is right — that’s the key! It’s especially beautiful at sunset and is the perfect spot when you want to dedicate an entire day to the sea, relaxing and soaking up the beauty of the place. The local restaurant explore the visitors. If you want to stay on the sand you have to pay a lot of money for umbrellas leaving no option. They took all the sand area over leaving a tiny bit outside for free. Ridiculous Exploitation, exploitation and exploitation
Samuel S — Google review
Awful business. You'll have to pay 6€ for the parking. Then 30€ for two beds. And you'll all be parked like pigs in a farm. Please avoid going there at all cost, they don't deserve your money and the beach should belong to everybody and be public. Period.

This is probably the best place to be on the beaches south of Gallipoli. It has been closed since 2019, so there is no loud music like at the other beach bars. Zeus Beach, located in Baia Verde in Gallipoli, offers a relaxing experience with its swimming zone equipped with cabanas and sun loungers. The beach also features a restaurant serving simple yet delicious seafood and meat dishes. Visitors can rent stylish cabanas to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and clean white sand of one of the nicest beaches in Salento. Families will appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and great amenities for kids.
I think the establishment took the hint from the reviews about the loud music because that was not our experience, the music only started playing later in the afternoon, but at lunch time we had a very nice seafood meal and there was no music, and the staff were very friendly and helpful even though we did not speak Italian. 🌸 the beach is beautiful turquoise in the early hours and warm and child friendly.

Absolutely disgraceful experience. This place is a complete joke. We arrived to total chaos — the staff were running around like headless chickens. We were told there were no sunbeds available because they were “all reserved,” even though we clearly booked. Out of six people, we got four sunbeds. FOUR. And those were ancient, worn-out pieces of crap. The canopies? Constantly collapsing on our heads like we were in a comedy sketch. They crammed the beds so close together (20cm apart!) just to squeeze more people in — no personal space, no comfort, just pure greed. When we finally decided to eat, we had the misfortune of encountering possibly the most useless service team on Earth. Disorganized, and absolutely clueless. We waited TWO HOURS for food that was a complete insult — undercooked, baby-sized portions, and tasted like it was made by someone who hates life. Then came the cherry on top: the bill. Not only was it three times what it should have been, but the staff barely spoke any English, so trying to explain the issue was like talking to a brick wall. No help, no apology, no clue. Oh, and the toilets? All clogged. No one cared. Not a single person even tried to fix it. Disgusting. Avoid this hellhole at all costs. Save your money, your nerves, and your sanity. Worst beach club experience of my life. 0 stars if I could

Great Beach Bar, Great Experience Perfect September weather, a relaxed atmosphere with no overcrowded beach, and a great beach bar to chill at. The Spaghetti alle Vongole were outstanding – compliments to the chef!

Very cosy beach club in the area. The sea is crystal clear and the service could be improved a bit at the restaurant. All in all a good experience and a good variety for lunch at the restaurant.

Friendly staff, very clean, you can prebook online, sufficient parking - perfect.

Didn't like this beach. It was very steep so the beach beds were at too sharp an angle. They were too close together too. Screaming babies two feet away - no thank you! The food wasn't good either. The spaghetti with clams was very gritty, too salty and no other herbs
Maia B — Google review
The beach is already open on May! Wonderful beach, clean and quiet and the restaurant is very delicious and not expensive. No need to bring any food. In July and August the beach is more active with music and acqua gym in the morning. The best place for young people to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in your hand.
Alessandro B — Google review
We had a fantastic time, always very nice service and friendly staff! Even though on some days the beds were booked out, they arranged something for us and made sure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Surely one of the nicest beaches in Salento, water is crystal clear with no stones and very clean white sand. Family friendly and great for a stay with kids. The food in the bar was also great and at a good price, nice range of wines and hot and cold platters. We will definitely come back next year!

Spiaggia di Baia Verde is a 3-km-long white-sand beach in the Puglia region, located just a 15-minute drive south from Gallipoli. During peak season, parking can be challenging and may require payment. The beach offers clear water and the option of paying for sunbeds and umbrellas or finding free spaces along the coast. Visitors have described it as a charming local spot with beautiful views and clean, relaxing vibes suitable for all ages.
Stunning beach. With these crystal blue waters and white sands you’d think you were in the Caribbean! The beach clubs along the coast were also great for those who just want to rent a sun-bed and umbrella.
Linda M — Google review
Ok beach, average. Crowded and dirty sand, water is also not impressive. There are other much better beaches in the area, I highly recommend lido la Rosa dei Venti.
Roxana F — Google review
Nice beach, definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately, the organisers of Lido Baia Verde seem determined to milk visitors for every cent — they wanted an extra €10 just to sit at one of their flimsy plastic tables, even after we’d bought a coffee for €3. A shame how this kind of greed is spoiling Italy’s beautiful beaches.
Erjon S — Google review
We have traveled across the world and been to many similar places. This is an absolute joke of a beach with ridiculous rules. We came here because the beach looked nice and were looking for a nice private spot. My partner and I chose to get two sunbeds without an umbrella for 30 € because we enjoy staying in the sun. We were given (they didn't let us chose) two sunbeds right in front of the water which kept on rising, which constantly threatened to put our belongings at risk of being drenched. We were told that we were not allowed to move them back even though there was plenty of spare room behind us and many other sunbeds were available. You need to pay to take a shower (two princing points for either hot or cold), and you need to pay an extra 10€ if you want to have a drink on the deck by the beach. We wanted to play a little game of racket by the water, away from everyone (the closest sunbed was at least 15 meters away) and were asked to stop by the personel for no apparent reason. It is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of principle and respect. We felt that this place had none of it.
Michael S — Google review
Beach was half empty and clean. Pros are that you have parking in front of entrance and you have sunbeds and umbrells plus toilets and showers. Cons that everything is paid: Parking 10€ a day (sam as on street) and entrance for 2 (2 sunbeds 1 umbrella) 35€

The Sant'Agata Basilica is located in the heart of Gallipoli old town which is on a small island. It is the largest building there packed in tiny streets around, so it's difficult to capture the whole beautiful Baroque facade. The interiors are stunning - pretty dark as a result of lacking sunlight with similarly dark huge paintings on its walls. Terrific marble art work as well. Free entry

Gorgeous place, well worth the 20 min walk. The return trip is rather steep uphill, so be ready for that. Parking wasn't a problem, we drove south past the main parking lot and found a smaller one, from which the walk is shorter. Cantine Due Palme, founded in 1989 by Angelo Maci, is a renowned cooperative winery located in Cellino San Marco at the heart of Salento. With over 400 selected growers and 2,500 hectares of vineyards, it focuses on preserving Apulian winemaking traditions while incorporating modern technology. The winery offers a wide selection of wines that capture the essence of Brindisino grapes with fruity aromas.
Excellent wine tour at their winery in Cellino San Marco by Leo who took us around the winery explaining about the cooperative of 1000+ local farmers who make up the company. He explained the process of receiving the grapes from the farmers and how they are tested, graded and weighed before entering the process. You will see the areas where this happens and the tall metal tanks where the fermentation takes place before some of the best wine being passed to be barrelled in American oak and stored in a control temperature and humidity store deep underground to improve the taste etc which you experience. We then drove to see one of the vineyard fields with several varieties of wine was growing at the start of May. The tour finally ended at their show room where you get to taste some of the wines, with some food, on offer and the chance to buy from the large collection of wines all at reasonable prices. A must do if you are travelling to Puglia to see where our wines come from. Really enjoyed and a big thank you to Leo. Really recommend

San Giovanni Al Sepolcro, also known as the Temple of the Holy Sepulcher, is a captivating 12th-century Norman church located in Brindisi's historic center. This enchanting site is a priceless historical gem that holds countless human stories within its walls. Visitors can explore the Roman ruins beneath the temple and learn about its significance during the Crusades and Roman period. The helpful guides provide valuable insights into the Templars and medieval history, making it an ideal destination for history enthusiasts.
This church was built at the end of the 11th Century AC by a Norman King who was returning from a Crusade, as Brindisi's harbor was the main departure point to Middle East during the age of the Crusaders (1096-1291). The interior is designed in the shape of a "horse shoe" with eight columns in concentric circle, just like the Cathedral of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. According to nowadays standards the temple is not a tall building, so it's not visible from distance. Actually, all the buildings around are taller. Anyway it well worth visiting, especially for the marble lions supporting the entrance pillars, for the indoor wall paint, partially visible and for the green patio, where the visitors could admire some beautiful orange and lemon trees, as well as ancient tombstones, some of them dating back from Roman era. Visited the place in January and the citrus trees in the patio were full of ripe fruits.

An amazing experience that I highly recommend to all those who love history. The place is a priceless historical jewel enriched with many amazing human stories engraved in every inch of the building. At first I entered and besides appreciating the old building I couldn't understand its meaning. I asked the gentleman from whom I bought the ticket (€3) if he could give me some information. After helping some other tourists he came to me. I thought that maybe he was going to tell me a sentence or two. But this gentleman explained to me all the history from the time it was built in 1743 till the last additions to the ceiling that were recently added. He related such an amazing story with so much passion that I was feeling transported away to the times of the templars who built this place to pray before leaving for Jerusalem. He explained about the columns, their alignment, why one seems to be inclined, the three different layers of frescoes and what they show, how they used to be painted on fresh Mata, the doors, the altar, the engraved signs on the outside walls, the mosaic flooring and everything else. I am so grateful to this gentleman. I thank him as he truly made my visit an amazing one.

This is a very small Church set in the very center of old town Brindisi. It was built in the 11c by a Norman prince who returned from the Crusade. Right away, it became a pilgrimage praying place for those heading to Holy Land and thanking place for those who returned safe. The Church has a circular layout, modeled after the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem with 8 columns inside and 13 c frescoes

Great beach club with umbrella and lounger areas on both sand and lawn. Nice little bar with good coffee, choice alcoholic drinks and some decent lunch options. Sea here is blue and shallow for a fair way out. Worth a visit. We paid €25 for umbrella and two loungers for the day (Aug '25).

This is the best beach in this region, the staff tries, not always everything goes without comments, but... clean (we were in many places in this area), normal distance between sunbeds, good bar, nice restaurant, tasty food, good beach line with sand. The only comment, a lot of staff, need to work for beter coordination and communication.

Really nice beach bar.The sea is amazing and the grass area is very comfortable.Drinks and food was ok the only problem would be the prices🤣€60 for 2 sun-beds and an umbrella is a bit extreme for Brindisi. Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area is a coastal and marine nature reserve featuring a 16th-century defensive tower and visitor center that houses a museum. Unlike other beaches that lose their charm due to commercialization, Torre Guaceto remains unspoiled even after being awarded Blue-Flag status. It is a protected area that boasts of diverse fauna, including birds and snakes. The beach in the Ostuni area has white sand and beautiful sea with no plastic waste littering its shores.
If you’re looking for a super beautiful, peaceful beach experience, Torre Guaceto is an absolute gem. The beach itself is long, clean, and gorgeous, with soft sand and crystal-clear water that’s perfect for swimming or just chilling under the sun. There are also nice walking trails along the shore, so if you’re up for a little stroll, you can explore the area and enjoy some quiet nature vibes. If you walk all the way to the end of the beach, you’ll find barely anyone there, so it’s perfect if you want some peace and privacy away from the crowds. Getting there is really easy thanks to the shuttle service from the parking area. It’s €8 per car per day, and that includes everyone inside the car plus parking, super convenient if you don’t want to stress about finding a spot. There’s a small spiaggia attrezzata with chairs and umbrellas if you prefer some comfort, but most of the beach is spiaggia libera, so you can pick your own spot and enjoy the natural setting. The area is also mostly disabled-friendly, so it’s accessible for everyone, which is a huge plus. Overall, Torre Guaceto is perfect for anyone looking for a clean, relaxing beach with beautiful scenery, easy access, and a touch of solitude if you explore a bit. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the region!

This is a fine example of a conservation area and yet very accessible to the public . A shuttle bus service is provided from the main parking area. There are different zones of protection , no fishing , sailing and water sport areas and swimming is not encouraged in some areas . The areas are clearly designated and the public seem to be cooperating. There is a turtle hospital not open to the public due to stress that this would cause the animals. There are long scenic , tranquil paths to walk but beware of the erosions and danger in some of the cliff tops. The beaches and bays are a haven for wildlife and the public alike this place deserves more publicity but maybe its better left to the public to discover how wonderful it is?
Danny P — Google review
Sorry but calling Torre Guaceto a natural reserve is a joke... The beach is dirty, with microplastics and other waste, and due to the shallow water the dirt remains in the water almost up to the buoys. Beach is overcrowded in August as could be expected, yet it has only two toilets and not even a shower. Booking online or not makes no difference: the parking is huge and accepts anyone who pays the 5€ at the entrance, and then everyone queues up for the shuttle. But the small „train“ doesn’t bring you to the beach, instead it drops you off some 700m away... and even in peak periods there is only one "train". Queues under the scorching sun are very long for both journeys (wait at least 20 minutes). The sea is ok, but neither better nor worse than the other coves along the coast. Don‘t waste your time & money here!
Grunz P — Google review

We stayed two days in ostuni, and we really wanted to visit the catherdral . We checked the opening time, it should be open. But each time we go there, the door was closed, and there is no any information about why it’s closed. I asked a lady she lived nearby, she told me Saturday should always open, I waited outside Saturday morning till almost 11:00am, it’s still not open. The catherdral should be very impressive, but we couldn’t give 2 stars. The service is too bad!

Looks nice from the outside but staff are unreliable. The church had opening hours posted outside with a yellow sign so I waited and still not possible to visit long after the opening time specified. Disappointing.

Masseria Brancati is located in the protected zone of Parco Agricolo degli Ulivi Secolari, where centuries-old olive trees stretch to the horizon. Visitors can take a tour of the farm and olive grove, led by knowledgeable guides who provide informative explanations in excellent English. The tour includes a walk through the ancient olive tree groves, an underground visit to the historic crypt where olives were pressed, and a blind olive oil tasting experience.
We did the farm and olive grove tour and tasting. It was very good and informative. Our guide spoke excellent english and was able to answer any questions. The grove is fairly level and seeing olive trees planted by the Romans, and earlier people, was amazing. A portion of the tour goes underground to the ancient crypt where the olives were pressed. This portion of the tour would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. The blind olive oil tasting was very fun and educational. Well worth the price. There was no sales pressure to purchase the product but there was a small store.

Fantastic! Mid winter we were fortunate to have a wonderful & informative tour. Astonishing place! I have recommended it to many friends. Would love to return in fall & stay for a few nights.

Olive orchard and ancient milling tour was very informative and engaging - our guide was an 8th-generation family owner. He graciously shared lots of cultivation ideas and milling history with our group. Very interesting! We all loved the tasting at the end of the tour - well worth the trip

One of the most amazing parts of our trip through Puglia was this tour! So interesting and informative. I feel like an expert;) There's a 3000 year old olive tree that is waiting for your photo op. Go!

Masseria Brancati is a wonderful place, a beautiful main building surrounded by very old fantastic olive trees. The masseria tour that ended with olive oil tasting was a unique experience. The passion of the masseria owner and the guide was true and evident.

We took a tour with Luigi. Wonderful experience learning about olive oil production from Roman times to today. The ancient olive trees are amazing to behold. The underground press room was full of historical artifacts. The tasting at the end was fun. Highly recommend to learn about olive oil and it's role in Italian agriculture over the centuries.

We spent 2 nights as B&B guests at the property and also joined a farm tour/oil tasting. For those seeking a rustic/authentic masseria experience at a real, working farm - look no further. The owners Corrado and Antonella are wonderful hosts, and treated us like family. The property is a slice of heaven. The tour itself, which is a major tourist magnet, is very informative and interesting with passionate guides. Very high quality olive oils- a reflection of the love and dedication that has gone into running the farm while respecting traditions since Roman times.

Like everything in this city, the park lacks maintenance, looks (and feels) completely abandoned and there is a complete disregard for the rules. Many parts of the park have been closed to the public for a long time. People here have no common sense or understanding of the value of a beautiful park like this one.

Disaster of service for the price you pay . Food nothing special to buy piece of pizza with with only tomato with a price of whole pizza 🍕. Glass of beer €5 , expensive . Me and wife spent €120 total and I went home very hungry. To enter €56+€12 deckchairs. Taught the main pool always with music running but I went 3 times to tell them switch on some music . Don't go there because totally rip of on everything .

Super clean and a lot of fun. We absolutely loved it. Not many slides (6 big ones) but more than enough for one day out. Kids didn't want to leave.
Joanna R — Google review
I went here when I was on holiday and it was one of the hottest days, it was quite busy and there were lots for queues but the queues went really fast. The lifeguards are really good at doing there job but they could be a bit more happy when doing it. All around great waterpark should definitely come
Amy H — Google review
Expected a typical waterpark but it was very clean and amazingly well maintained. We went with 2 small children, 1year old and 3 yr old. The kids area is fantastic but the park might be a bit boring for teenagers as there aren't many big slides but id definitely recommend it if you have younger kids. We went on a week day out of season so it was fairly quiet
Carla A — Google review
Good fun, we enjoyed it. The children (9 and 6) enjoyed the kids pool and splash area, less so the slides (the straight blue ones were way too fast and splashy for them). The DJ build up to the wave machine was good fun, we had a good dance and clap, shame the wave machine itself was quite limited to two small areas of the pool, which got immediately crammed. I've seen better wave pools. Queuing for the doughnuts in the lazy river was dull and long-winded! Overall worthwhile, but fairly expensive! We spent €100 on entry and loungers and around €30 on average food. Next time we would just get the umbrella and bring our own food, which we didn't know we could do.
Rachel W — Google review
An unpleasant trip over there, the pools are nice, the slides not so many, but ok, but we had a bad experience with the purchase of the tickets, we couldn't get them online, only the umbrellas, which I could pay them online, but not the sunbeds, there are many areas you cand reserve but u didn't know, it wasn't shown on the site, that you have to know where you reserve the umbrella because it doesn't come with the sunbeds, you have to pay them also and I had to take 3 trips to the cash desk to solve this mystery! The conversation with the lady who sold us the tickets was very difficult, they know very poor English, and although I explained from the start that I had reservations for the umbrellas she didn't understand and so I had to get into the park and realized that I only got the umbrellas and the sunbeds not. I had to ho 3 times to her to explain that I want sunbeds too and that I will pay them also. Very bad experience! So, better pay at the entrance and don't complicate yourself to go online. The ticket price also very expansive, the food was OK.

Fabulous Water Park with something for everyone. Various age related pools, fountains, slides for big and small. Loved the lazy river where you can get inflated rings or just swim through without, as the gentle current takes you around. Nice food and drinks available. Good parking. Entrance fee is a bit expensive xtra for an umbrella with 2x beds but good if you spend the whole day.

Lido Sabbiadoro is a stylish beach club that offers rentals of loungers and umbrellas along with seafood dishes and cocktails. During the off/shoulder season, the beach is usually empty which makes it a great spot to relax. The chairs on the water are not fancy but good enough to provide sun protection and keep off the sand.
We organized a pre-wedding party and a Sunday brunch. Staff was on point, polite and helpful. Food was delicious. Drinks as well. They helped organize a live pizza and karaoke night. They even added a beautiful firework. Both events were a complete success by all accounts. Absolute pleasure and we’ll come back :)

Sabbiadoro Luxury Beach is a truly beautiful and very clean beach. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we couldn’t stay as planned, but the team was extremely understanding and refunded our payment without hesitation. The staff are kind, professional, and genuinely care about their guests’ experience. This level of customer service is rare and deserves to be appreciated. I will definitely come back on a sunny day to fully enjoy this wonderful place. Highly recommended!

Our hotel arranged several chairs for the family. We were there from around 10:30-4. We loved every minute of our time. The drinks were great (they have an impressive wine list!) and they even made me a fruit smoothie that I was skeptical about but turned out great. We also had lunch there and it was surprisingly excellent. Overall, a great time.

This was one of the most amazing and funny experiences in my entire life! This place is absolutely amazing and it is a great place for kids! The amusement park after the safari is absolutely amazing! The safari tour was great but the rest more la la.. Rest is the second part of walking tour including a funny train and many closed attractions. Also they forced me to pay extra parking 4 EUR although I paid a family ticket 140 EUR and they know the tour ends with parking and proceeding by foot once through the safari with the car🤣 . Pretty low and embarrassing 👎 But!! The camels are over cool. 🐫

Loved it! Safari from the car was definitely the best part! Bring carrots with you, animals will love it. It can get slow and crowded in the season, so have patience and enjoy the ride. It's well managed and unique (for Europe) place to see lots of exotic animals considerably free in a wide space from the close but safe approach of your car. There are many areas that you are allowed to touch and feed the animals (please don't give them junk or human food, you can buy carrots, peanuts etc. specially for them at the entrance) and areas where you need to stay in your car at all times but it's all worth it. The animals looks like the staff take good care of them which is very important for me considering other similar places or zoo parks in Europe. It's really family/kids friendly place. In the pedestrian area you can find other animals and different zones like reptiles and insects, lake with birds and monkeys where you can have a paid boat ride, there is a rail car (zoo metro) which you can take from one zone to another, a special monkey zone which you can visit with a caged safari style truck and feed peanuts to the animals through a special holes. There is an amusement park in the pedestrian area where you can find food and drinks and have some fun before you take off. Overall a great place for kids and families, we had amazing time there.

Palazzo degli Uffici

Points of Interest & Landmarks
In the charming streets of Taranto's Borgo Nuovo, you'll find the Palazzo degli Uffici, a historic building that dates back to the 18th century. Originally serving as an orphanage for underprivileged children and military orphans, this prestigious structure now stands as a testament to the city's rich history.
(Translated by Google) The Palazzo degli Uffici of Taranto is one of the most prestigious buildings in the Borgo Nuovo of the city. It was built in the eighteenth century to fulfill the function of an orphanage and house the poor children of the city and the orphans of the military, by order of a Royal Decree of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon in 1787. The first stone of the structure was laid in 1791 in an open space used for public events by the Archbishop of Taranto Monsignor Giuseppe Capecelatro, but the events of 1799 and the subsequent changes in government forced the work to be interrupted for a long time. Only in 1872 did the Municipality, which in the meantime had acquired the entire area, use the building to house some public offices, ordering the resumption of works based on the engineer's design. Giovanni Galeone, which was completed in 1894. Since 28 June 1896, the date of the inauguration in the presence of the Mayor of Taranto Alessandro Criscuolo, the building has hosted the Taranto Court, the Nautical School, the Meteorological and Seismic Observatory, the Institute for the History and Archeology of Magna Graecia and various schools, including the "Archita" Gymnasium High School. The quadrangular shape of the building influenced the master plan regarding the street network, while the architectural style was used as a model by other buildings in the Borgo Nuovo of the city. The main façade of the building overlooks Piazza Archita, and is aligned with the Swing Bridge from which it is perfectly visible. Ideally it appears divided into two horizontal sections: the lower section has a majestic main door on the ground floor flanked by a series of doors, and on the first floor a row of framed windows; the upper one is on both the second and third floors with 20 elegantly decorated windows. The division into vertical sections is instead carried out using pilasters of the Doric order in the lower part, and pilasters of the Ionic order in the upper part. The upper part of the façade ends with a small decorated triangular tympanum and a mechanical clock. The remaining elevations are identical to the main one, with the exception of the small triangular gable. There are also commemorative plaques both outside and inside. Among them, a special mention must be made for the one dedicated to the assassination of King Umberto I of Savoy, preserved on the third floor. For more than a century it was home to the "Archita" Gymnasium High School, the oldest in Taranto, famous for having been the school of illustrious personalities, including the statesman Aldo Moro. Since 2013, the high school was transferred to another location for the start of the works, which were concluded once again due to mafia infiltration within the contracting company.
