Hands down the best touristic mountain experience. The development up there is incredible. Perfect for facilitating the large number of tourists as well as the extreme sports enthusiasts. Every runs like a well oiled machine. Expensive but incredible.

Your amazing ride starts in the center of chamonix, there you will take the most thrilling cable car ride if you life. With the best views, grass that turns u to snow, and trees that turn into massive cliffs. Aguille du midi is a must for everyone. The views at the top are truly out of this world and make you seem so small. Would recommend to everyone visiting chamonix. Give out of five stars

Wow!!! Just stunning. Exceptional views 360. Will do again. Review will not do any justice. You just have to go. Nice cafe as well. Stairs from elevator to cafe was a bit of a drag in the thin air. Wife’s lips turned purple from lack of oxygen. Be aware of the signs.

Incredible view . The beauty is breathtaking. You can see the highest peak in Europe from afar. Many people paragliding here. It is a must-visit place in life.

The cable bus from the Chamonix city with a change over in between takes you to the peak of Aiguille du Midi. This peak is exactly in the border of France and Italy. A 20 minutes journey of ten each takes you to the peak. To see the mont blanc, you have to take a pass like temporary visa to the italian side and from the peak to which a lift is taking you, you can see the mont blanc. There is also a glass cage with dead drop bottom. The view from the top is magnificient. It takes you to the view of entire iced surroundings. The mont blanc is the highest peak of Alps. More famous for limited edition pen. They are allowing a total of 2 and half hours to see and come back. On a sunny day, the views are beautiful. The climate is sometimes minus in the peak

Amazing experience. They give you a paper to indicate you have a time to get off the mountain to avoid rushes. Even though it was for 1.5 hours as the recommended time, we spent close to 4 hours (with about 1.5 hours for queuing for the glass dome alone). This was an unforgettable experience and highly recommended.

Old Town Bern is picturesque both in the day and night. Can take Bus 12 from main square to Bear Park and return. If you stay in hotel, can get activation code for free bus ride in Bernapp. Else, can park at Casino car park but it's expensive.

Visiting the Zytglogge was a highlight of my trip to Bern. This 13th-century clock tower is not just a beautiful landmark, it’s a piece of living history. I arrived a few minutes before the hour and was amazed by the mechanical figures and the precise chime—it feels like stepping back in time. The surrounding Old Town streets are charming, full of cafés and little shops, making it a perfect spot to explore after watching the show. Whether you love history, architecture, or just a great photo opportunity, the Zytglogge is a must-see in Bern.

Walking through Bern’s Old Town, I stumbled upon Bim Zytglogge and was instantly charmed. The area around the clock tower feels like a slice of history—cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and the hourly show of mechanical figures on the astronomical clock. It’s a lively spot, with locals and tourists mingling, and plenty of cafés and shops nearby.

Such a nice Watch tower. Very interesting and of course, full of historical events to tell from it and its city, Bern. Really a great stop-by spot, a must when you'd like to see the spectacle of the watch with its figures moving at 6pm.

Its a big old clock. There is some entertaining bits on the west side every hour but dont expect anything dramatic like a giant cuckoo clock. Pretty cool though for an 800 year old piece of work.

Each corner of this town will make you feel to walking back in time. Such a beautiful place. You can visit the clock tower from inside for 10 chf

Zytglogge (Clock Tower) was built in 1220 as part of Bern’s western gate, becoming a civic clock tower after the city expanded. The astronomical clock was added in 1530 with moving figures such as bears, a jester, and Chronos, which perform each hour.

If you love historic buildings, Bern’s Old City is a must-see. The medieval architecture is stunning, and the streets are beautifully clean and well-organized. Shops are thoughtfully placed, so you can enjoy the views while exploring. A truly charming and unforgettable experience!

In my opinion, Bern's old town is one of the most beautiful and compact in the world. Its specialty is the arcades formed by the old buildings lining the streets. The arcades are lined with shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc. It is worth walking around the old town, also along the banks of the Aare River, and climbing to the Rosengarten to admire the magnificent view of the old town. Every time I visit Bern I feel amazed.

LOVE this pretty place! So historic and colorful, tons of lovely photo spots! Love the iconic fountain and huge clock tower, as well as all the cute trains and buses that came in different shapes and sizes 🚂🚌🇨🇭❤️. Was glad I dropped by Bern - after all it’s the capital of Switzerland, and a must drop by imo, even if it’s for a short day trip! 😆 I was really happy to be here 🥰👍.

A beautiful town, probably the nicest in Switzerland. In the morning it is less crowded and the streets are well conserved. The prices are really high, which makes the costs hardly affordable for foreigners

You are unwinding the clock back 500 years ago to experience the lifestyle in medieval time. The old street (made of sandstones), clock tower, cathedral surrounded by garden and river are breathtaking.

Beautiful and quaint little old town in the capital of Switzerland! I got there early so the streets were rather empty and it was nice taking a slow stroll down this street. The street was lined with familiar brands/shops, the trams ran down both sides and I almost felt like I was transported back to medieval times - except the modern shops bring me back to the present. If you walk further down, you’ll end up at the Bear Pit, another little tourist attraction of Bern.

This zoo os great with kids. The surounding are made with so many details in mind, everything is green when you walk around. My kids and I loved it. There is great food stations too, amany animals. Especially the aquarium part is super big and nice too. The only downside, its in the middle of the city of Basel, a little hard to get too.

Love love this place- I went pretty late (4-6pm). Although I skipped the crowds, some of the animals were already in their enclosures (not in exhibit), but it didn’t detract from my joy of being there. Loved the vivarium, farm animals, snow leopard, flamingos, meerkats, and penguins. I would have loved to be able to see the new hippo baby though :(.

Zoo was good for a city zoo. I don't want to spoil it so only posted a miniscule amount of photos. I loved going into the bird house. It had some levels to it so find the elevator or stairs. Spent from just after 9am until 4pm.

It is very convenient. With stroller we could go through the whole Zoo. We were lucky we could see all the animals. They have huge space in the restaurant & also banks everywhere to sit.

A very nice zoo – not too big, not too small. There’s a great variety of animals, and even on rainy days you can enjoy several indoor areas. We always love coming here!

It's a very strange and beautiful place. They let the penguins walk freely in the zoo. However, the path was very clean. The staff there were very kind. Everything was good. I was there for 6 hours and I didn't want to leave at all. It was very enjoyable to be with the animals. I wish they were free in the wild, but the animals are having fun there too. The animals are definitely happy there. I recommend you to go there to enjoy being with nature.

What a lovely zoo- lots to see with a variety of animals. I particularly liked the giraffe enclosure. There was also a lovely coffee shop and gift shop near the entrance.

Definitely worth the visit, the building is beautifully crafted. If you walk behind the building you will have an excellent view overlooking the River. Lots of people were having picnics and relaxing here.

Solo travelers are not allowed to climb the towers, for suicide prevention reasons. You can find another tourist and ask to accompany them, but without the employee seeing this. Don't let them know you are strangers. There's a small fee to climb the towers and it's well worth it. Basel Minster was built between the 11th and 16th centuries in a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. After the 1356 earthquake, it was significantly rebuilt incorporating Gothic elements such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and large stained-glass windows. The cathedral is made of red sandstone and is notable for its two main towers, St. George’s and St. Martin’s, and its patterned tile roof. The Minster served as the Catholic cathedral until the Reformation in 1529, after which it became a Reformed Protestant church. The Gallus Gate at Basel Minster is the oldest Romanesque figure portal in the German-speaking world, built around 1185. In the tympanum is Christ as Judge of the World, accompanied by Peter and a donor figure, while the lintel below shows the Parable of the Ten Virgins. During the Reformation in Basel (1529), iconoclasm took place at Basel Minster as part of the city’s shift from Catholicism to Protestantism. Religious images, statues, and altars that were seen as idolatrous were removed or destroyed. The interior today remains relatively bare compared to its original medieval design.

It was originally built in the 1000’s as a Roman Catholic Cathedral and became a Protestant church. There’s no fee to get in the church but there’s a fee to go up the top. Behind the church is the Rhine River.

Don’t miss the chance to reach the top of the church. While climbing, it might seem like you’ve reached the end, but be sure to check—there’s a good chance there’s a way to go even higher."

Had a free walk around then spotted people paying to go up the towers. We tried this for a small charge and it's well worth the steep steps to go to the 3 levels available. Bit tight at times depending on how many people go up but numbers are controlled.

Basel Minster is absolutely worth a visit! I’ve climbed several church towers across Switzerland, but this one had the narrowest spire staircase I’ve ever squeezed through! It’s a bit of a tight spiral toward the top, but that only adds to the adventure. Once you reach the viewing platform, you’re rewarded with panoramic views of Basel, the Rhine, and even into France and Germany on a clear day. The cathedral itself is beautifully maintained, with intricate stonework and a peaceful courtyard. It’s a perfect mix of charm, challenge, and postcard-worthy scenery. Don’t miss it!

If you're in or neat Lucerne Mount Pilatus is a must see. I took the train from Lucerne to Alpnachstad and then took the cog train up the mountain. I had absolutely perfect weather and the views were stunning. There is a restaurant multiple lookout points and a few trails I hiked. I then took the gondola down the other side of the mountain. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views all around. Be careful about visiting during spring, as parts of the viewing decks may be closed because of snow as late as early june in my experience. The facilities are new and very nice. I would recommend to take the cog rail up, and the gondola down the mountain for the best experience. Worth every penny.

The staff were helpful and very professional, making the experience smooth from start to finish. Whether you take the world’s steepest cogwheel railway or the aerial cableways, the adventure is incredible in every way. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland — Mount Pilatus truly feels like being on top of the world!

What a spectacular place! If you are visiting Switzerland, spend some hours at Mt. Pilatus. I took the steap railway to the top, but you can also choose to hike.

Mount Pilatus was definitely a highlight of the trip to Switzerland. The weather in mid September was cooperative (it was as warm and sunny on the mountain as in Lucerne). Classic trip as advised: bus, cable cars to the mountain and trip back via cog-wheel train and lake cruise ending in Lucerne. Nature beauty is unreal, hiking a few paths at the top (paved or stairs) is almost a must. Utter surprise how tasty were the local beef hot dogs at the fast food joint on the mountain.

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) in Lucerne. It was a beautiful evening, and the entire setting felt almost magical. The iconic wooden bridge, with its charming roof and historic paintings, reflected perfectly in the calm waters of the Reuss River—making it one of the most picturesque spots we’ve seen in Switzerland. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere around the bridge. As we walked through, the gentle lighting and the flower decorations along the bridge added to the charm. Right nearby, the Old Town was buzzing with life. The streets were lively with cafés, restaurants, and little shops, making it a joy to stroll through. The blend of history, culture, and energy gave the whole area a very warm and welcoming vibe. Walking across the bridge and then meandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Town felt like stepping into a postcard. The combination of medieval architecture, colorful buildings, and the vibrant evening atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. If you are in Lucerne, visiting Chapel Bridge is absolutely a must-do, especially in the evening when the city lights and reflections on the river create such a breathtaking scene. It’s not just a landmark—it’s a place that captures the heart and soul of Lucerne.

Chapel Bridge lives up to the hype being the most iconic outdoor attraction in Lucerne. Pictures of the bridge from the river shore streets are more scenic than photos taken from the bridge itself. Given that fire of 1993 destroyed at least two thirds of the bridge, don’t expect too much from exposed paintings. Fortunately, Water Tower was spared and bridge was rebuilt and reopened in 8 months carefully reconstructed to preserve historic details.

Beautiful bridge which has significant history; there had been a fire in the 90's but apart from some blackened sections it had been repaired. It was not crowded. It provided lovely views of the mountains, lake and Luzern itself. The wood is lovely and the craftsmanship is evident everywhere with examples of quality joinery etc. It's a short walk from the main railway station. I found it peaceful and calming. We were out of season.

It is a very nice, special place, always beautiful the flowers at the bridge. Mass tourism, a photogenic square, easily accessible from the train station and ship station.

As a tourist attraction, the Lion Monument is relatively small in scale, yet it draws a large number of visitors. The sculpture of the dying lion is strikingly lifelike, full of emotion and quiet power. In front of the carving lies a small reflecting pool, where a few lonely fallen leaves float on the water, adding to the somber mood of the place. Overall, the visit takes about 5–10 minutes. No tickets required.

A truly impressive monument, much bigger than I expected and really beautiful. The Lion of Lucerne is carved directly into the rock to honor the Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution. The expression of the lion is incredibly realistic and moving. The surrounding park and pond make it a peaceful place to stop and reflect. Definitely worth a visit!

Lion monument was made to honour mercenary soldiers of Switzerland who died during the French revolution. The monument is stunning with huge lion sculpture in a rock with high level detailing. The surroundings are very beautiful and this is an ideal place for photoshop. Don't miss out to see the reflection of lion monument in the small lake below it. This is a must visit place in Lucerne and an important part of Swiss history.

Magnificent though-provoking monument to Swiss guards who died defending French king at the revolution times, emphasizing sacrifice by the people who fulfilled their professional duties to the end at the cost of their lives. It’s a small public park easily accessible by 10 mins walk from Lucerne lake shore. There are restrooms onsite, also expect the park to be crowded almost at any time of the day.

Shaded area with a calm pond and beautifully carved sculpture. There are historical and interpretive signs all around, plus a few benches. Additionally, we found the most technologically-advanced, free public restrooms we'd ever seen here - I seriously almost took a photo of the inside of it!

Beautiful stunning lake with breathtaking view of the alps. There are boat rides available if you are so inclined. Really lovey pristine lake with a magnificent view.

It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the whole of Europe, in my opinion. Obviously, the Alps on one side and Lucerne city on the other side give it ample backdrop for those picture-perfect photographs, but still :) Do not miss the boat rides available from Lucerne harbor. You'll thank me when you take one :)

The lake is absolutely stunning, with calm, clear water. The view feels like something out of a dream, peaceful and unforgettable. Especially loved the yellow bench by the lake side.

Lucerne is a beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere. The walks along Lake Lucerne and the views of the Alps make this place a magical experience. I can't wait to visit again in August.

Located in the middle of Lucerne city, surrounded by the beautiful Alps Hills. Lake Lucerne is a very picturesque one, probably one of the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Also is one of the main attractions of Lucerne (while it also has become one of the most recognizable images of the country). It is a symbol of the city and gives a sublime beauty on sunny days. Especially when even the nearby peaks are still snow-covered and can be seen in the background the Pilatus, majestic. There are many boats that allow you to traverse the lake and cross from one bank to another or even cruise excursions to nearby towns. It's a pretty big lake reaching over 210 meters. PS:- Highly Recommended for taking a boat tour around it to enjoy the tranquil beauty it holds.

Wow. The fog over the lake was so majestic, and the town itself was very pretty. Also the ducks were friendly.

The village Titisee in Germany is a very neat nd tiny with hygiene sorrounding. It’s famous for CuCuo clock manafacture nd for sorrounding scenic beauty. It also lies along the Black Forest regions.

We don’t live nearby but we love when we get to come here! Titisee is a beautiful lake and place, perfect to relax, enjoy beautiful nature and appreciate the good things in life. And there are also so many things to do and visit nearby, it’s a wonderful destination. We already stayed at two hotels here and both were top notch, and the lake was as inviting each time. Beautiful!

A fabulous day out while only holiday from France very easy to find great roads if you have Motorcycle. One of the highest lakes in Germany .

It was wonderful great view on the lake from every restaurants hotels the ground and they had great boat service . The kids can also steal the boat with saftey vests on for protection and after a long day u can go to a nice restaurant and eat nicely and after have a ice cream if its warm .And after that u can go on a Ferris wheel with a great view on the lake and mountains ⛰️ u can also if u have furry friends u can take them on the ferris wheel 🎡 and on the boat 🚢 ride have fun on ur visit.

Visited during the winter off-peak season, so most of the stores were closed. But the views were still absolutely stunning! Everything was covered with a layer of snow, adding a touch of magic to the landscape.

Badeparadies Titisee is a large, clean, and very well-organized place that’s perfect for all ages. The big wave pool is a highlight – lots of fun and it even goes up to 3.6 meters deep! There’s also a wide variety of slides that keep both kids and adults entertained. Parking is plentiful and easy, which makes the visit even more convenient. A fantastic spot to spend the day – highly recommended!

My partner and I recently spent time at Badeparadies Schwarzwald, and it was amazing. Everything from the moment we arrived felt well thought out and relaxing. The pools are beautiful, clean, and varied — there’s something for every mood, whether you want relaxing thermal waters, more energetic swims, or quiet spots to just unwind. The wellness areas are superb, and the overall ambience just lets you let go. Staff are friendly, helpful, and really create a calm, welcoming vibe. The only thing I would recommend is come on a day that is slightly less busy. As crowds & Queues can form quickly around the slides or the bubble areas in the pools. We came away feeling refreshed and happy. Would absolutely return

Great place to enjoy with family, kids. water rides for every age group. Highly recommended for short half day trip. Full day is too much as slides are limited.. Restaurant is small with less options. We went on my son birthday but didn't get any discount or free tickets for the birthday kid so we need to buy extra ticket for him. On spot ticket buying is costlier therefore book in advance.

Tickets on the spot are a little more pricey than online. We paid €58 for 2 adults (daytickets). We also rented a bath towel each for €4 a piece. There is a wristband system, each wristband has their own locker number. Any consumption you make/order can be put on the wristband so you can pay when you turn them in at the end of your visit. Handy, as long as you keep track of how much you spend. As it is easy to lose sight of that with a system like this. Prices inside are very good honestly, I don't understand the people who say they're expensive. 4,90 for a THICK slice of Schwarzwalder panna cotta cherry cake and a latte macchiato for about 4,80 as well is more than decent. People are super nice too! Swim up bar is a nice touch. We came for the palm oasis pool thing, Galaxy (slide park) was closed, and we dont really like the nude sauna part that is the vital area thing, but we spent like 4 hours in the normal part of the pool. Nice places to lounge, enjoy the sun, and the salt bath definitely was a nice experience. They also organize various activities like aqua bingo, various treatments, and you can get massages too. We'd love to come back when we are in the area! The staff was pleasant and friendly and the facilities are fantastic.

We visited Badeparadies Schwarzwald expecting a high-quality experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the price tag. Pros: – The Lagoon area is designed like a 5-star Egyptian resort — palm trees, plenty of loungers, and a nice tropical vibe. – The Vital Sauna area is decent and relaxing — but it comes at an extra cost. Cons: – Extremely overpriced. Base entry is around €60 per person — and that’s without towels, robes, flip-flops, food, or even basic soap in the showers. With meals, drinks, and parking, we spent about €250 for two. – The Galaxy area is small and overcrowded, with very limited entertainment. No inflatable tubes available, and the outdoor pool space is tiny — basically unusable if it’s busy. – Some slides feel unsafe — we witnessed five people in a row hit their temples on the same slide. – Food and drinks are mediocre — cocktails are bland and forgettable. – Even if you pay for a reserved lounger, other guests will try to take it, even if your belongings are clearly there. No real enforcement. – Security staff walk around in groups of five, staring people down — creating more tension than safety. – No real thermal water — it’s just regular heated chlorinated pool water. Conclusion: Badeparadies Schwarzwald tries to look like a luxury wellness resort, but in reality, it’s just a regular waterpark with a pretty facade and a massively inflated price. If you go on a quiet day, it might be enjoyable. But during weekends or busy times, it turns into an overpriced, crowded, and underwhelming experience.

Too small, life guards are not friendly! 4 hours is enough for kids up to 12 years old. Good for rainy days. The best attraction is jumping to pool. For some reason it is not allowed to take pictures on site 🤔

2023: Yeah okay it is expensive, but I had an awesome 4 hour relaxing stay and it is worth it. Go on a evening and it is a quiet place. 2025: So I came back a few years later, This time we enjoyed it like 1000 times better. Not sure why but I would actually highly recommend this place. This time the slides were open as well, so we ran like little childs through the swimming area and took like 100 slides. Parked out motorcycles outside, all your gear can go in their lockers and I would definitely come back.

Nice to walk along the street with all high end brands, top tier private banks, chocolate and accessory shops. Of course lots of restaurants and bars too!

This place is only for ultra luxury shopping, there are few other economical shops do exits bit they are slightly off to the main street and they are equally good. Zurich lake and Limmat is nearby.

Considered one of the most expensive retail streets in the world we decided to have a look not long after arriving in Zurich. After deciding against a 2 grand backpack we strolled around before making a sharp exit. Well worth a visit. And if you have money you burn and would rather spend it on extravagant purchases than helping people then this is the place for you.

This is a lively street lined with restaurants and shops. Lots of tourists make this a stop on their lists.

Like many other reviews of this place - great steak, poor service. We arrived towards the closing of this restaurant around 10:45pm but were welcomed in after the waiter checked the time. This changed quickly however when we ordered - the staff hurried us out the restaurant by packing up every single table around us, moving our items off of an adjacent table to close up, and even asking to give us our bill rather than the other way round. Did not feel like well looked-after customers when many other bars and restaurants in the same street were full of patrons at this time and not rushing them at all. The steak and quality of food was brilliant, but the service needs a lot of improvement else would not return again.

We visited Steak House Old Town without ordering any beef, and overall, the experience was just average. Chicken Breast: Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It was quite dry and tough to chew, lacking the tenderness you'd expect. Grilled Salmon: Decent, but nothing memorable. It was cooked fine, though not particularly flavorful. Duck: Also just okay. It didn’t stand out, but it wasn’t bad either. Sides: The sides were the highlight of the meal. The potato with sour cream was excellent—creamy and well-seasoned. The spinach was fresh and tasty, and the fried sweet potato was crispy and satisfying. Soup: We tried the coconut soup. It was rich and creamy, but the coconut flavor was overpowering, making it a bit too intense for our taste. Service was fine, and the ambiance was cozy, but based on the dishes we tried, we wouldn’t rush back. Perhaps the beef options are better, given it's a steakhouse.

Super good steak for a reasonable price - meat was soft and juicy. Meat was served on a hot plate, so every bite was fresh and hot! Staff was super nice and friendly, made us feel very welcomed :)

Best steak I've ever had! While walking along the street In Zurich to find somewhere for dinner we happened upon this restaurant where we could smell the mouthwatering steak before seeing it. A quaint little restaurant with a lovely outside seating area where you cook your steak on a hot stone.. having been on a train all day from Vienna we were ravenous so decided to go for the Tomahawk for 2 and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The most amazing juicy steak we have ever had!!! And even though the steak by itself was more than enough for 2 people.. the complimentary sides of veg and rosemary potatoes were incredible! Even though the food was sensational the service outshone it, never once did our glasses get slightly empty and the staff were incredible and so helpful with any questions asked about Zurich in general! Could not recommend this place more! Definitely worth a visit!!

Stunning place, absolutely amazing. Even though it was a rainy morning, the view over the falls and around was breathtaking. I bought boat ride tickets online, but I couldn't use them because our bus tour arrived too early and we only stayed for one hour. There is a very pleasant promenade with benches to rest on, multiple viewing platforms, a couple of gift shops, and several toilet facilities.

It is a beautiful waterfall. I came to it with the knowledge that it is Europe's largest and most powerful waterfall but when I saw it I was not impressed at all. Compared to the major waterfalls in other continents, it is not that large or powerful. But it is beautiful. And the walkway that leads to it is fine. There is plenty of water and it is so beautifully blue. The foamy water under the waterfall is nice to see. And there are quite a few waterbirds there such as gulls.

The Rhine Fall offer a truly spectacular natural experience. We have visited several times and we loved it everytime. Until now, we have always chosen the entrance via Laufen Castle, which features a panoramic trail and a viewing platform situated halfway down. A staircase leads directly to the base of the falls, and after passing through a short tunnel carved into the rock, visitors can admire the waterfall from an impressive side vantage point. Watching the immense volumes of water cascade downward is endlessly captivating — a sight that draws us back time and again. I can also recommend to enjoy the boat ride to the Fall. It‘s a great experience!

A wonderful creation of nature and if you are in Zurich i would recommend having a visit to Rhine falls. It is easily accessible via train and there is a train station that gets you right to the viewing point of rhine falls. You have to buy a ticket to enter the falls which was around 5CHF at the ticket vending machine located there. No need to prebook the tickets. Then you have to take some steps down thus a small walk will take you to the viewing platform of this huge waterfall. You will feel the mist as the water power is really great at the viewing platform. There are several boat services which you can hop on to on an extra cost and will take you closer to the falls.

A must-visit Swiss landmark! Plan at least half a day, walk down from the castle to the waterfall, enjoy the view at various view points, take a boat tour with an audio guide, have a bite, walk back around the waterfall and over the bridge. Visit after a heavy rain when the waterfall has lots of water. Try to come during the week when it’s less busy. There is a little tourist train going around the waterfall and showing some of Schaffhausen. Very easily accessible by car or by train.

An absolutely breathtaking experience! Rhine Falls is a spectacular natural wonder—powerful, majestic, and beautifully accessible. The viewing platforms offer stunning perspectives. A must-visit if you're in Switzerland!

Amazing Day In an Incredible Museum On a rare day when my children were off school (but all other schools were open) we visited Technorama and had an amazing day. There were only a few visitors, but enough to seem alive and the weather was perfect for visiting the outside area. The museum itself is so well made and organized. The number of engaging exhibits and well-done live shows/demonstrations will keep people of all ages busy all day. Special recognition goes to the restaurant staff for the freshly made food and the extremely friendly interaction during our lunch. We waited years for the children to be old enough to appreciate the museum - we won't wait so long before our next visit.

It’s so big, hours of entertainment for the kids in all different science categories with hand on experiment exhibits. There’s also a restaurant on site, plus an outdoor area with more exhibits. We spent 3.5 hours and didn’t get to do the outside area before closing, and we weren’t super slow going through the exhibits either.

This is hands down the best science museum that I’ve ever been to - everything was hands-on and interactive and really snuck in the science in a way that makes learning enjoyable. We spent almost 5 hours exploring the space with a 4 year old and could have easily spent more. The food in the cafeteria was pretty good, and I liked that you paid for the pasta by weight so you could take a smaller portion and not waste food. 10/10 way to spend a rainy day

Absolutely amazing experience , with hundreds of experiments and interactive stands over 3 floors, covers all areas of science in a very cool way! You need at least two days to cover it fully including the outdoor experience .

I love this museum. The kids enjoy it as well. The only two downsides are: it is loud and expensive. You can wear headphones against the noise and use an SBB voucher if you have a Swisspass. You should bring your own food. There is a nice picnic area. You can spend 5 hours here easily. The museum is best for kids between 6 to 14. Plan well for the labs and bring 2 CHF or 2 EUR for a fun game at the door to the outside.

the island is very pretty and has a lot to offer, many different kinds of nature sections and lots of things for kids around/ food places etc but was quite expensive (especially because i didn’t have long to stay which is not an issue of the place) but i could see how it could be kind of worth it as a whole day activity

The island is incredibly beautiful — everything is in bloom and so well maintained! However, we were really disappointed to find out (a bit too late) that the butterfly house has different opening hours from the rest of the park. We arrived just 10 minutes after it closed and sadly missed it. It would be great if the timing was clearer on the map or signs.

Perfect place for nature and flower lovers. Every season has its own color and the blooming plants. Old trees like Tilia over 100 years old. Beautiful views and walking aleys. Next time, I would bring some lunch and enjoy a picnic.

I can bet it is the most beautiful places I have visited. For the tulips, instead of visiting Keukenhof, this is a better place. Surrounded by nature, play gyms for kids, animals where kids can even feed the goats was a holistic experience. We went with our 2months old baby and it was quite smooth. There were ramps everywhere. Accessibility was not a challenge. The tulips were beautiful. There were other flower exhibitions as well indoors. A must visit for everyone!!!!! The connectivity via ships is also very smooth and timely. We went from Meersberg to Mainau.

If you're here in St Gallen, this place is an absolute must-visit. For 18 CHF, you get access to the library, the vaulted cellar and an exhibition space. Having said that, the library is still the star attraction. Before entering the library, you will need to put on slippers over your shoes. There doesn't seem to be any time limit to stay in the library, so you can always wait till the library empties out to catch great photos of the library. In particular, I loved the look of the book cases, but I was a little weirded out by the display of a mummy in the corner, which we cannot photograph.

We walked in around one hour before closing and therefore we could only visit the library. You would need to put on cotton-made shoeson top of your own shoes to prevent damages to the wooden floor. The library itself is indeed stunning. Although I could not read any of the books but the decor, the drawings, and all of the details are just delightful to see. A dead mummy is placed inside the library. From what I could tell it is still preserved in good conditions; but if you are scared you could always skip that corner of the library.

Mere words cannot describe this library, the museum, and the adjacent church. It is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. You’re looking at books that are 500 years old, as a geographer I loved the globe from 1530, documents from Charlemagne, and much more. Danke für alles !

I imagine every visitor's dream is to be alone in this library for a few hours, randomly picking books from unlocked shelves. It's a small room that takes you back in time offering filmesque experience that can partially be spoiled with too many visitors inside. Maybe a suggestion for the library to either limit time of visit or the number of visitors per group for better experience.

Very beautiful library room. Surely worth a visit when you‘re already in St. Gallen. I was there on a weekday with very few visitors in the afternoon so I had no queues and at one point the rooms were almost empty. You have to wear slippers on your shoes, which they provide, but it is well worth preserving such a beautiful room. If you have a Raiffeisen Card, you get the entry to three locations for free, which is nice.

Wow. Wow. Wow. You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy every aspect of this stunning time capsule. The architecture alone was something I had never seen before. Truly a must-see when in Switzerland.

One of the most beautiful libraries I have visited so far. Library in Porto is also beautiful but this library in St Gallen has far less visitors so you are really able to appreciate the details of it's beauty.

this is one of the must visit place when in Friedrichshafen. there are so many exhibits for aviation and it was a spacious and huge museum to move around. Hardly any quene for each exhibit. however i find very limited merchandise at the souvenior shop and hope that they could duplicate the displayed medal into magnets in the future.

Awesome and completely unexpected visit. I was in the area for work and came across this museum in the late afternoon. Tickets were disconted as there want much time left open but we got around and learned a lot about these awesome airships! Really informative museum and well worth a visit. I expect this is a huge draw after going.

Nice museum for adults. Interesting history and nice view into the zappelin and the accommodations for passengers. For children ( 12 and 11) who do not speak German and are not very fluent in English, there was not a lot to do. So this was a quick visit.

The museum is certainly interesting. Although I expected more. There is a feeling that some exhibitions were created just to fill empty space. The exhibition is very strangely organized. It is difficult to immerse yourself in the topic because everything is simply scattered thematically.

You have to distinguish between the creative aspects of the Bregenzer Festspiele and the guest experience. The first is worthy of its reputation, the latter is amateurish. The stage, the singing, the costumes, the location are all beyond criticism. I've been four times and, even as someone with no interest in opera, the performance has always been a rewarding experience. Your enjoyment thereof is however undermined by neglected basics: the lack of toilets is laughable (allow 20 minutes of queueing for the gents); the hard, narrow plastic seats hurt within 45 minutes; the view is always seriously obstructed because the raking is too flat. By far the biggest flaw is the audio: it is quiet and unclear. The warning about phone use is loud and clear, but then the dialog/singing is indiscernible. Most guests are left reading the subtitles, from which random sentences are missing. Comparable outdoor stages better understand that what happens on stage is only part of the experience. So the Bregenzer Festspiele is a worthwhile experience, if you have realistic expectations - this is not simply a pleasurable night at the theater.

I am visiting the festival next once every two years for the last 12 years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend to buy premium tickets that include a seat inside in case of the opera having to be moved due to bad weather. Also arriving early and exploring Bregenz beforehand is a good idea as Bregenz alone is worth a visit.

We visited “The Freischütz” by Carl Maria von Weber, which is considered a key work of the German romantic opera. We can highly recommend it: amazing, very elaborate decorations built on the lake, great music and singing, large cast, lots of special effects and overall an outstanding performance. The story takes place in a rural German village. Max, a young forester, must win a shooting contest to marry Agathe, the daughter of the head forester, Kuno. However, Max has lost his confidence after a series of failures. In desperation, he turns to Kaspar, another forester who has secretly made a pact with dark forces. Kaspar convinces Max to cast "magic bullets" in the haunted Wolf’s Glen at midnight. These bullets are supposed to never miss their target, but the last bullet is controlled by the devil. At the contest, Max fires his final bullet at a target meant for the competition — but the bullet, influenced by evil, instead aims at Agathe. Miraculously, she is saved by a sacred wreath she wears, and Kaspar is struck down instead. In the end, Max confesses his actions. Rather than being punished severely, he is given a year to prove his worth, after which he may marry Agathe. The opera blends elements of folklore, supernatural horror, love, and redemption, and is known for its vivid atmosphere, especially the eerie Wolf’s Glen scene.

A beautiful place and a fantastic venue, I am here most years for the opera and it never fails to enchant me. It's a very special place and a beautiful lake to go with, I would visit every year and every year again. Food is superb, try the local beer Moran, wine is good value and very tasty, you should come to Bregenz and have a fantastic time, 2 to 3 days is perfect. Enjoy

This has been on my bucket list since I found out about an amphitheater on Lake Constanz! It did not disappoint! Performance: We saw "Der Freischütz" (The Marksman) by Carl Maria von Weber. While it was in German, the story was easy to follow, except perhaps the ending, which was unexpected for me. The actors were amazing, especially when working in a stage with water throughout. Staging: The star of the show! A stage built on a lake with a lake on it. Dilapidated buildings illustrate the young Agathe's desperation to go anywhere else. The staging added to the morose nature of the setting. The use of fire and water defines the infernal struggle going on with Max as he tries to win Agathe's hand. Seating: Stage on the lake, seating on the land. It still had an intimate feeling with 7,000 seats. With the slope of the seating, there shouldn't have been a bad sight line. Although it can be a little intimidating for some. Therefore, if you are uncomfortable with height, choose seats in the lower rows. Another tip would be to bring a pad for your seat. Sitting for two or more hours on weather-resistant plastic seats can be uncomfortable. Theater: The theater was nicely laid out. The restrooms are clean. The lobby is well designed with easy access to amenities. The after show bars provided a nice area to discuss the show. It included special drinks for the festival! I was more than satisfied with my visit and enjoyed it immensely!

It is so impressive, had Goosebumps through the entire show, it surprised me in every way. I have been to many operas, this is a total different game. Go, just book it, you will not regret it. Also perfect for a surprise romantic weekend away.

Simply amazing, no other words for the experience

Spectacular skiing. The resort is absolutely massive, we could barely make it from one side to the other in one day, if you spent a week here you would hardly be able to get to all of the pistes. The abundance of high speed lifts and gondolas also ensured that we essentially never had to wait to get in some wonderful skiing in a gorgeous location.

Beautiful but NOT for beginners First of all the area is stunning, the scenery the buildings - everything is like something from an Alpine postcard. Every restaurant we ate in over a week long trip was fantastic, however expensive, with the Post and Hotel Krone being our favourites. Our hotel, Garni Schneider, was in a perfect location for the ski lifts and restaurants. One thing the resort overall is is missing is bars and a bit of nightlife. Now the important part, skiing. This is 100% not a resort for beginners. If you read some of the reviews at 3 stars and below you will see the same comments. I class myself as a beginner having learned on artificial snow slopes and then having been on two prior ski holidays to Morzine, France. In Morzine I was comfortable on ALL of the blue slopes and even managed to challenge myself on a couple of red slopes. In Oberlech I couldn’t do the blue slopes, or when I did some of the “easier” ones (210) I was not able to enjoy them. The run down to Lech town was very steep and by 2pm covered in moguls (see photos). There are also a lot of really experienced skiers there who will zoom past you on the blue slopes. Nothing at all against them, but it does make it even harder. There are other things to do like nice walks, gondola rides, tobogganing and St Anton is a nice little town not too far away. Another tip is to bring cash, anything under 10 Euros and they don’t accept card in Austria. Taxis and buses are cash only. If you are an experienced skier, you will love this place! I was jealous of all those making it look so easy! :-) If you’re not and you want to enjoy the skiing, don’t go. Lots of the reviews on websites will say that it is good for beginners, it’s definitely not. Also worth noting that there are no green runs in Austria.

One of the oldest and biggest ski resorts in Austria, comprising a total of 5 towns and their areas. You can tell it's old since some of the original buildings of the former villages are still standing. This is actually quite scenic, as is the whole area. St. Anton is also well known to tourists mainly due to international winter sports events so be prepared for bigger crowds during peak times. You'll find a big number of slopes of which many in my opinion are quite narrow for the mass of people going there. The pistes are nevertheless well groomed. Blue slopes can be rather steep already so be sure to have some experience before going. Food quality is OK, but expensive. The ski pass is one of the most pricy I bought, even parking in the towns is charged (when it's still free in most other resorts in Austria). Conclusion: as it goes for clothe brands and known tourist areas, you mainly pay a high price for the name. But you'll find similar or even better areas for a lower price in the same region. Unless you fancy the chic aprés-ski scene, then it's one of the on-vogue places to go (together with Ischgl and Obertauern).

Top reasons to go? Amazing ski area with modern infrastructure and some of the longest runs in the world. Quality restaurants and authentic mountain huts are everywhere for a nice lunch, schnapps or dinner. The town center of St Anton is, as expected, a little pricey but if you are on a budget there are still places where you can find some nice value. We stayed for a week and certainly did not run out of things to do for the first time...

Lech is Topnoch skiing area. Wide slopes, super groomed slopes and super good vibe in the restaurant. We really enjoyed it! It is true not a beginner friendly skiing slops.

Ski resort with famous name but the operation lacks compared to other ski resorts. It seems to me that when there is snow during the night it takes them too long to open. Also, when there is no operation, anybody will tell you the current status. We took ski bus to Stuben, they tell us that we have to take the ski bus to Lech. This ski bus schedule is once per hour and it just left. So we go back to the hotel to drive the car. 30 minutes later we check the ski lift status and ski lift is open. Terrible experience. I am not coming back. Summary: Pistes: 4* - can be challenging Operation: 1* Ski lifts: 3* - not the newest ones, some places are queued due to small capacity Food: 2* - overpriced compared to Sella Ronda (Lech and Zurs)

This is an incredible place to visit. The walk in the gorge where you can see how high the water has been and how it cuts into the walls. Look up for some giant boulders caught above the gorge

This is a fantastic gorge to be explored by everybody. The pathway is broad enough to have two big guys walk abreast. There are no stairs or steps until the exit, and it makes sense to transverse the gorge twice to see it from two sides. The entire path within the gorge is nicely surfaced with concrete and very sturdy so slips are unlikely. On weekends, thousands of people visit, so buying a ticket online is recommended.

Paid 4 euros for the parking and about 7 to go in. You can see the place is being taken care of for the entrance price and the small hike is beautiful. I do recommend doing it a bit early though (around 10 AM was perfect for us), because it can become quite crowded.

Breitachklamm is an absolutely stunning natural wonder and a must-visit for anyone who loves hiking or simply enjoying the outdoors. The walking trails through the gorge are well-maintained and offer incredible views of the rushing stream below. You can feel the power of the water as it cascades through the narrow rock walls, creating a dramatic and refreshing atmosphere. The area around the stream is peaceful and beautifully green, with plenty of spots to stop, take photos, or just admire the scenery. Whether you’re looking for a short, easy walk or a longer hike connecting to nearby trails, Breitachklamm offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. Word of caution - Be careful in some of the rocky areas, as the ceilings can be low and it’s easy to bump your head. Good shoes and a bit of caution make the walk much more enjoyable! Tickets cost around €7.50 and can be purchased conveniently at the reception counter or online in advance.

Beautiful river and waterfalls, but… Definitely be aware it’s a super touristy place. If you’re going with a big dog: the paths are very small and there’s people turning around and going back. Also there’s a rather paw unfriendly stair with gauze you have to climb if you follow the red route. 😬 I didn’t really enjoy visiting this place because it was crowded, just too many people constantly, everywhere. The staff at the restaurant at the entrance were friendly and the food was good! Nonetheless, it’s definitely an unique place.

Highly recommend. One of the most beautiful and gorgeous Gorges you will ever see. If you do it when it’s rainy it’s even more majestic. Rain makes the waterfall and experience more magical. 10/10 must do.

Nice gorge to go for a walk. I recommend coming very early since it gets really busy during the day.(Didn't forget to check the opening hours). With the ticket you can walk the gorge in both directions. So you can exit the gorge at the top and continue along the river and come back later to go back to the parking lot. I highly recommend continuing after the gorge and visiting one of the Hintere Engere Alpe (mountain restaurant).

Every nice church. This church has the tallest tower in the world. You can pay 7 Euros and walk all the way to the top. Please ensure that you are semi fit....it is a long and winding staircase of over 750 steps. But the view is worth it. They are currently doing some restorations to the church so please bear with the noise.

Ulm Minster is breathtaking both inside and out. The Gothic architecture is incredibly detailed, and the interior is full of history — especially the 15th-century choir stalls with their intricate wood carvings. The highlight, of course, is climbing the tallest church spire in the world. It’s 768 steps up a narrow staircase, but the panoramic view over the city and, on clear days, even the Alps, makes it worth every step. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and bright, with beautiful stained-glass windows and an impressive organ. The Münsterplatz around the church is also lively, with cafés and markets (the Christmas market here is fantastic). Be prepared: the tower climb is steep and not for everyone, but if you can manage it, it’s unforgettable. Overall, Ulm Minster is one of Germany’s greatest landmarks. Highly recommended!

Ulm Minster is an awe-inspiring masterpiece of Gothic architecture and holds the distinction of having the 2nd tallest church tower in the world. Standing at 161.53 meters. It's interior is very impressive and magnificent with stained glass window and majestic Hall.

Ulm Minster is an absolute must-see — not only for its record-breaking spire, but also for the sense of calm and beauty it offers. It’s very easy to reach, just a short and pleasant walk from Ulm’s main train station through the charming old town. When I visited, there was some ongoing renovation work, with padding and scaffolding around the front and upper sections, which did slightly spoil the full view of the façade. However, the minor distraction did not take away from the overall experience — once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. The city’s noise fades away, replaced by a deep sense of peace and stillness. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a quiet moment of reflection, Ulm Minster is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit.

The Ulm Minster is absolutely breathtaking and a must-see if you visit Ulm. The interior is just as impressive, with beautiful stained glass windows and a peaceful, majestic atmosphere. You can really feel the history and craftsmanship that went into every detail. Whether you’re interested in architecture, history, or just want a stunning view over the city, the Ulm Minster is unforgettable.

Definitely a must see castle. The grounds and the views are amazing. Unfortunately you cannot take photos of the interior. But nonetheless the interior doesn't disappoint either. I recommend that you get your ticket and tour time set up online. It definitely makes things easier. There are a few restaurants around the castle that have great food. Plus souvenir shoppes too.

Just a short 30-minute walk from the world-famous Neuschwanstein lies Schloss Hohenschwangau, and we can genuinely recommend adding it to your visit. While Neuschwanstein often gets most of the attention, Hohenschwangau has a charm and authenticity all of its own. Set against rolling hills, peaceful forests, and a beautiful lake, the castle feels more intimate and lived-in, offering a fascinating contrast to King Ludwig II’s fairytale creation. Tickets can be bought in advance—something we recommend, especially during busier months—and guided tours are offered in several languages. The tour provides wonderful insight into the history of the Bavarian royal family and the important role this castle played in Ludwig’s childhood. Many rooms remain furnished just as they were, which makes the visit feel historically rich and surprisingly personal. Even if you decide not to join a tour, the area around Schloss Hohenschwangau is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The paths are easy to navigate, and the views of the lake and surrounding mountains are incredibly beautiful. It’s a calm and charming place to unwind, especially after the more intense and crowded experience of Neuschwanstein. Overall, we found Schloss Hohenschwangau to be a beautiful and worthwhile addition to the day—less crowded, full of history, and surrounded by stunning scenery. If you’re already in the area, it’s absolutely worth visiting both castles to get the full experience of this remarkable region.

I visited a lot of Ludwig’s castles and this one isn’t the most spectacular per se but it is a must see specially if you’re interested in his history. This is where he grew up and where his parents lived. The castle has a lot of history that you can learn during your visit. The visit is made with a guide but you have an audio guide in your own language during the tour. It is activated in each room by the guide and lasts a few minutes. Our tour guide was young lady with dark hair. I don’t remember her name but she was one of the best guides I’ve encountered in a museum. She was lovely, smiling, added additional informations during our visit and was gentle. We had a great time visiting the castle thanks to her. You can also visit the gardens for free if you want but you have to book a ticket to see the inside. Also up here you get a nice view over the Neuschwanstein.

Overall, visiting Hohenschwangau Castle is one of the must do things for any tourist in the area. Personally my visit was both meaningful and enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful, the history fascinating and the atmosphere peaceful. It offered a valuable look into the roots of Ludwig II’s life and imagination, making it a visit worth remembering. On a side note, it’s recommended to book in advance, park your car in parking number 4 and keep in mind that only guided tours are offered inside as well as that picture and videos aren’t allowed.

Even tough it's not probably as nice as Neuschwanstein I really enjoyed being inside and especially a look through the window at the end of the tour. Around the castle there are food stands where you can enjoy a hot chilly and some sausage with drinks.

I visited the yellow castle since the smaller white one was sold out. I was blown away by how amazing the artwork is within. It's unfortunate that pictures aren't allowed inside considering how inspiring the story was. I'd suggest that more people book the yellow castle to see and learn about the old rulers.

The castle location is so beautiful. It is a treat for the sight just to hike towards the castle that is surrounded by bavarian alps. The guided tour, on the other hand is rather short (only 30min). The rooms are accessible only by lots of stairs and no photography is allowed. Only 14 castle rooms were furnished. Furthermore during our visit the cafe was also closed. This was a bummer since the ticket is so expensive for 23euros per person. Furthermore even though young kids are allowed inside the castle for free they need their own ticket and it can't be booked online. The ticket we got got our toddler from the information booth did not have a scan code and my daughter could not get inside so i had to run to fund security to let her inside. The security guide solved the issue quickly though. The point is that the ticket handling system must be more organized and improved upon. On the other hand, the cave room, singers room and the balcony were breath taking so the hassle was kind of worth it. The ticket price should be reduced though. I would say overall it was a very pleasant experience.

A real-life Disney castle — but truly so much more than that! ✨ I still couldn’t get enough of this place. Every corner feels like stepping into a fairytale. The guided tour is a must — make sure to book it early, as tickets sell out fast. No photos are allowed inside, but it’s absolutely worth it. Each room reflects incredible richness, elegance, and the artistic soul of King Ludwig II — his passion for theatre, music, and beauty shines through every detail. It’s about a 20-minute walk uphill from the ticket area, but they also offer bus services (check the timings!) and horse-drawn carriage rides for a more scenic way up. The path is a bit steep, but once you reach the top, the view and the castle itself make every step worth it. King Ludwig II was truly a dreamer — and walking through his creation feels like walking inside his imagination. Go see it — it’s magical, surreal, and simply unforgettable. 🌄💙

The castle is located in a beautiful setting. Tickets may be bought online or in person (reservation recommended for peak season). There’s free shuttle from downtown Füssen to the ticket center. There’s plenty of paid parking. To get up to the castle you may hire a chariot or walk up for 30-40 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and it is worth the walk. During summer the path is shaded by the threes. Inside the castle there’s plenty of stairs to go up. I advise looking up if it is wheelchair accessible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5-Star Review – Neuschwanstein Castle Parking at Platz 4 is very spacious and costs €12 for 6 hours, conveniently located right next to where you catch the bus up to the castle. The bus fare is €5 per adult round trip, and it’s a smooth ride with beautiful scenery along the way. At the top, the area is clear and open, perfect for walking or biking with stunning views all around. The trails are beautiful, offering several photo spots and breathtaking panoramas of the castle and the valley below. There’s also a small snack and souvenir shop at the top with plenty of space and clean bathrooms, making it an easy and comfortable stop before or after exploring. Overall, Neuschwanstein Castle is a magical experience — well worth the visit and the walk. The scenery alone makes it unforgettable!

When near Fussen and Schwangau Neuschwanstein Castle is a must. A beautiful 40 minute uphill walk will bring you there. You can take a shuttle or horse and buggy but the walk is doable if you like and are used to walking/hiking. We did not pay to go in but got good photos from many vantage points outside.

You won't regret visiting here. It's beautiful on the outside but absolutely gorgeous on the inside. If you have trouble walking, definitely take the horse carriage up and/or down (costs money). The walk down is much easier. They have the cutest store after the tour and don't forget to check out the view outside near the bathrooms before leaving. You will not regret it!!

Absolutely breathtaking and immersive. The hike up is beautiful and you can take your time just enjoying the scenery. Plenty of photo opportunities outside of the castle, but no pictures inside until you get to the cafe.

A very successful experience for children aged 4-12. A large place with lots of options that are very difficult to complete in one day due to the long lines for most of the facilities. You have to arrive with a lot of patience. Overall, this is a park where the attractions themselves are not crazy, but the "wrapping" of Lego does its job. The place is very neat and clean and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a recommended day out for the family.

This is in my opinion the best of the 3 Legoland parks in Europe. Everything is good value here, especially the food and the quality of said food is fantastic. I went into the pizza restaurant and paid around €16 for a fresh out of the oven pizza and amazing chocolate tart. They both felt like they came from an expensive restaurant, very tasty and beautiful presentation. You have the best selection of rides here from small to thrilling. A really good variety - the best being Maximus. An absolutely thrilling b&m coaster which despite the short ride time, offers some incredible moments of weightlessness. The park is kept tidy and clean - the bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. Queues are managed well and have the bonus of single rider if you're a lone traveller like me. Saves a lot of time. Theres a few little themed shops dotted around and although a couple were closed on my trip due to the time of year possibly, there's still a lot on offer. More than any other Lego park in Europe like I said. I had the best 2 days here and I can't wait to come back again.

We took the kids to Germany and our first stop before traditional castles and museums was Legoland Germany! We LOVED it. Drove straight from airport to the hotel (we stayed at the Pirate Hotel), checked in, then did a full afternoon and evening till close. We ate at the steak restaurant near hotels and onsite for snacks, lunch, etc. We prepaid for breakfast at Pirate hotel. Because of birthdays, we did the birthday package (they decorated the room and more) and because tip mattered we did the VIP package. THIS was worth every penny! We skipped the line at every ride, got extra swag & mini figures, and store discounts [don’t forget to ask for tax refund forms at the store (typically 100 or more spent)]. The staff are awesome and most are bilingual if you are rusty. If you are a LEGO fan or traveling Germany with kids, this place is worth every penny! For the super fans, they had themes we found no where else (e.g. adventure series at the log ride); and rides that are not found at the US Legolands. Augsburg and Ulm are nearby if you need a culture/ museum break.

We spent lovely 2days here, great experience for us, adults and our kids. We had lovely weather, so a lot of people arrived, and some attractions were crowded, and we had to wait. Luckily it was just occasionally. Plus was Halloween decorations and products that can bring home🎃🎃 Thank you, will come again.

Great place for young kids . We spent one day there , 2 would have been better as we didn’t see everything. Very reasonable as once you pay all the rides are free . Ideal kids age 5-12.

An absolute dream holiday location for my family and I. My son and daughter loved it, the rides were great, food was good and queues were decent. Staff were very friendly, parking wasn't an issue and having Peppa Pig Park right next door made it ideal for my 2 year old daughter too! It was also great fun for my wife and I. Unforgettable memories were made and we cannot wait to visit once again!

If you or your kids like LEGO then you must visit, the place is huge and there are a lot of activities for all ages. To really cover it you need at least 2 days to get on most of the rides. The only downside is the large ques that form so you don't like to wait a lot then maybe pay more for the express pass. You can also get tickets online for both the park and the parking which I recommend to save some time.

The abbey is free to enter, and though beautiful there is not a lot to see around the December holidays other than spending a few minutes in the (cold) chapel and wandering through the large gift shop. Facilities: In busier times there is a cafe. Small/mid-sized car parks are available for a few euros, and just a few minute walk from the chapel.

Incredible house of God. Beautiful stunning architecture and painting. It took my breath away🥹 The colours and grounds are looked after so beautifully. Located in a stunning little town with so much history. The shop there is wonderful full of craftsmanship from the local people and people who live and work at the Abbey. Will be coming again!

A BEAUTIFUL monastery and basilica! Construction started in 1330, finish a century or so later…. This Benedictine monastery has been known throughout the centuries for its brewed and distilled libations and its cheese. The church is amazing… not big in size, but a knockout in stature! We heard someone practicing singing for Mass, the acoustics are great! A must see if you’re in the Ettal, DE area!

built between 1330 and 1370 then renovated to the baroque-rococo style in the 18th century. todays it serves as a large tourist attraction with restaurants, hotels and shops nearby. you will be amazed by the visit.

The place is a must to visit if you stay in Ettal or traveling through, the beer especially the dark beer very good! Their liquor nice too and the view amazing! Guide os possible but you can enter freely too and look around. Definitely recommend!!!

The highlight is the excellent cheese they make, purchase at the cheese house (see pic, free views), and the beer they brew. I was told by a local hiker I met on Mount Wank that the beer was unique, and it really is: dark but no bitterness with a creamy finish.

The Baroque architecture is incredible, and we loved the calm atmosphere. Grabbing a taste of their local brewery products was a fun bonus too. Definitely recommend a visit!

Went on a Augsburg Fugger Tour. Last stop was the Fuggerei. Have always been curious about it and it's history. Quite amazing that it still exists till this day an age and functioning the same way it always has. Absolutely incredible. The grounds are extremely well kept and just a beautiful part of living history. Must go when you visit Augsburg. After the tour you can also visit tiny beer garden by the entrance.

Really cool to hear about how this social housing was started. The people can live here for €1 per year, and just have to be Catholic, pray everyday, and be in need. It’s definitely worth the €8 entrance fee.

It was a wonderful experience visiting the world’s oldest public housing. We went on a weekday morning, and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful, which made exploring even more enjoyable. Purchasing the ticket at the entrance was simple, and the site itself was easy to navigate. The area is beautifully maintained, with so much attention to detail that you really feel immersed in its rich history. Walking through the space gives you a true sense of cultural heritage, and it’s both educational and inspiring. I would definitely recommend this visit to anyone interested in culture and history—it’s a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience something truly special.

I visited The Fuggerei on two different trips, once in 2010 and then again in 2023. It's a neat experience with in Augsburg and i definitely recommend checking it out. The history here is interesting for sure and the architecture in germany in general always amazes me. I would recommend tickets in advance, although was not busy when we went. My aunt had picked them up ahead of time for us.

Fuggerei in Augsburg is often touted as a must-see historical site, but unless you’re deeply interested in social housing history, it’s largely underwhelming. The quaint buildings and quiet atmosphere feel more like a sleepy neighborhood than a captivating attraction. The real standout is the WWII bunker—an unexpectedly compelling and haunting part of the visit. It offers a chilling, immersive look into wartime life and far surpasses the rest of the experience. If you’re nearby and curious, stop by for the bunker, but otherwise, it’s probably not worth going out of your way.

A fascinating historical place that is definitely worth visiting. It beautifully combines the charm of the past with the spirit of the present. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of stepping back in time. The houses and small museums provide a wonderful glimpse into old life, and everything is well organized for visitors. Highly recommended when in Augsburg.

a residential complex from 16th century for the catholic people in Augsburg in need. now also is a museum to visit with church and a bunker. interesting to see how they founded the place and the historical phases which passed.

The reception staff behind the Wallfahrtskirche were very helpful. I was able to obtain some Klein Geld for the Wohnmobilstellplatz here. They could however not explain why the Chapel of Sorrows and Carl Orff shrine were locked shut! Said it never closes! At least 20 people were disappointed.

Its a whole experience even getting here, including an hour or so hike, but so very worth it. Our hike was beautiful, fall colors everywhere. The pilgrimage church is stunning, the scenery in the Bavarian hills is breathtaking, and the beer is some of the best we had in Germany. If you're staying in Munich or the surrounding area, you should go.

This place is known for its very drinkable beer and views over the surrounding countryside. I had a Schweinshaxe (crispy pork leg) and struggled to eat it with the potato salad and the red cabbage.

Great place to have a quick look around and then enjoy beer and food whilst soaking up the amazing views. Easy to get too and well worth a visit.

Great beer and huge pretzels for the budget minded. Pork knuckles (Haxen) for the big appetite. The church is impressive. They also have virtual tours for enjoyment and historic viewd.

Easily accessible beautiful monastery with a beer hall, restaurant and open access to the brewery. Great place for pilgrims and beer lovers.

Excellent restaurant (however a bit overcrowded). Beautiful churchyard. Alpes are seen on a sunny day.
