Sarlat is very beautiful. Easy to park close and costs around 4 euro for 17hrs!! August 2022. Lots of street performers and restaurants. Quite busy but not overly. I would definitely come back again

We had a wonderful family visit to the zoo! My children absolutely loved seeing the animals up close, and it was such a joy to watch their excitement. The animals all seem to be in excellent conditions, with spacious and well-maintained habitats. It’s clear that the staff take great care in providing a safe and comfortable environment for them. A perfect place for a family day out!

This is easily one do the best zoos in the world. Whereas in many zoos you would see animals and feel sad for them given their conditions, this zoo does not make you feel this. You will see many caretakers and staff who clean enclosures, feed regularly and perfectly adapted food to the animals at regular intervals throughout the day etc. Despite going there over a hot time, the animals were still visible, yet they all had a closed enclosure in a cooler area. This zoo genuinely loves animals, and you can see it. Their two spectacles with the sea lions and the birds were really great and shows even further the care they give to all these animals. I went there on a weekday, yet there was a fair amount of people, I advise going as soon as the park opens to explore it at its finest time.

The most amazing zoo I’ve ever been too. The experience here was next level, all of th animal enclosures are spotless and well maintained, all the animals had enrichment and plenty of space. The cable car was a fantastic addition and of course the beautiful pandas stole the show!!

Downsides: •The entrance and food queues are very crowded, with long waits, and there aren’t many benches. (Food is not bad) •Also, if you come with a stroller or have mobility issues, be prepared for quite a bit of uphill walking. Upsides: •Beautiful place with lovely paths and lots of shade. •Even though it was crowded, parking was well organized, and the animals have large areas where they seem happy and well cared for. (The views of them from different spots are wonderful.) Overall, definitely worth a visit! ⭐️

Very nice zoo, seems to take animal welfare very seriously. Overheard some other guests complain they 'did not see the wolves very well and the Parc should cut down the trees'. Actually glad they give each animal species what they need to feel as comfortable as possible. The zoo has plenty of small playgrounds for intermezzo's with children, there are lots of restaurants and stalls all scattered around, there's a big parking lot and queuing went very smoothly... The shops are nice but diverse. Definitely recommend!

The best zoo I have been too - both in terms of layout and variety of animals. Easy to spend a whole day here. Food options are numerous. Well worth a visit.

Great little zoo, bring your walking boots and be prepared for steep inclines. Made it round the whole zoo in a day. Highlights for us were the Giant Pandas, Koalas, Hippos and Manatee. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for something to do.

Simply magical place. Among all the other Chateau's quite unique because of its location. The exhibitions are nice and it is not overwhelming. The gardens and parks around are beautiful, with plenty of benches to sit down and relax. I recommend doing a quick wine tasting in the wine cellar, maybe not the most engaging or informative but still a nice experience. This place is definitely worth the trip.

Visiting Château de Chenonceau was a wonderful experience. The castle is elegant and romantic, beautifully set over the river, and surrounded by lovely gardens. I loved the charm and history of the place — it feels both graceful and full of life. Truly one of the most beautiful castles on the Loire Valley.

This chateau was the best chateau we have visited in France. The restoration, presentation and information available was first class. So much history from one location. Kind of overwhelming as you slowly self-guide around. Recommend Autumn as the time to visit with trees in their gold, red, and orange phases.

Chenonceau Château is a beautiful chateau built 1513-1517 across the River Cher. It has a friendly atmosphere and elegant design. Walking around inside, you see its rich history with unique rooms like the Louis XIV drawing room, Catherine de Medici’s bedroom, and are magnificent. Spanning the river is a long impressive gallery. The kitchen would be the envy of any chef! The Medici gardens beside the chateau are tidy, peaceful, and carefully arranged with boxwood, roses, and lavender. The garden is made up of lawn panels around a circular pond, giving lovely views of the castle and its surroundings. It’s a great place to stroll and relax, making your visit even more special.

We had a fantastic day out at the Chateau it has stunning gardens and a lovely restaurant that serves nice food don't be put off by the queue it's worth the wait. If you want to go inside and look around the Chateau you will need to book ahead at the entrance. The garden has some very welcome spray showers to keep visitors cool in the very hot weather.

Mixed feeling….from one side castle is too crowded (with a lot of people playing with tablet used as travel guides)….but from the other side castle is huge and magnificent….I suggest (if possible) to visit it during not risk hours…

Beautiful castle - like from fairy tales. Very interesting show with horses - some history of the castle and France presented in a playful way. Lots of gift shops. Shops with local alcohol and charcuterie. Highly recommended to visit!

Gorgeous, breathtaking castle. It's absolutely massive. The sheer size of the castle is impressive and so is the history. Really inform yourself about it before you visit to appreciate it more. There is a room to the left as you enter the castle thah shows informative movies about it's history and architecture. I am giving it 4 stars because even with the map it was a bit of a challenge of having a cohesive visit. We kept checking the map to make sure we didn't miss anything. I would try finding creative ways of guiding visitors better in a better flow with some creative/visible signages. The inside of the castle isn't as impressive as other castles. The outside is alot nicer.

Castle of Chambord is magnificent. The view from outside is astonishing. The inside is a bit empty but the architecture is really interesting from the outside and inside mainly on stairs. You can see the Kings' room and collections that are there. Gardens is beautiful and symetrics as french garden's specialty.

Highly recommence to spend a day in here 😍 and many steps 😂. A stunning Château with history. Take some small tour if possible, that you can go up to the latern tower which is the highest point to have great overview. Or there is a tour to explain about the history and architecture as well - by that you could enter a secret place of the Chateau.

I went on this short trip with La Voyagerie Parisienne. They are very nice, the trip was well organised. The castle is very beautiful, the garden is very big but we didn’t have enough time to go there. I will come back in future for sure

A stunning place to go, found the WWII room very interesting. Not to much inside to look at, however the chateau on the outside is beautiful. Would recommend 3 hours to look at everything and there a lot of steep steps!

While a grey and drizzling day, this final home of Leonardo da Vinci is so lovely. Having information in English and French was really helpful. Da Vinci's skill as an artist and engineer were on full display. Being from Canada I am easily wowed by historical homes. But seeing da Vinci's tools just makes him come alive.

Such a wonderful museum showing the many genius facets of Leonardo da Vinci. It's amazing to walk right into his bedroom, kitchen or studio! To explore the goblins and admire the kitchen ware, the fine glasses or beer mugs brought from far away. You feel that even the building and the atmosphere is honored and kept alive just through the beautiful flower decorations found in every room. The exhibition is extended into the scenery garden and makes the details in the drawings and paintings more interesting. You need at least two hours to explore the many details! Just look at Leonardo's handwriting. Amazing! Can't recommend it enough.

Great experience! Not as overwhelming as some of the larger chateau in the area and very informative about the art and many inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci. Also great for children.

Brilliant place to visit to get more insight into the mind of this fabulous man. What a genius! His home is well laid out with samples of his inventions and ideas. Lovely gardens too with bigger versions of his inventions- staggering!

Visiting Clos Lucé was an amazing experience. This charming château is famous for being Leonardo da Vinci’s last residence, and walking through the house and gardens really brings his genius to life. The exhibitions of his inventions and the beautiful surrounding park make it both educational and inspiring. A must-see for anyone interested in history, art, and innovation!

This is a not-to-be-missed chateau. In addition on the grounds are exhibitions and glorious gardens with everything Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo spent the last three years of his life at this chateau. The history is incredible, the extent of items regarding his life is hugely in-depth. This is a not to be missed experience.

I really liked the house and garden. Especially appreciated that they made duplicates of the work of Leonardo and put it on display in the gardens. It is very small and you are done quickly. But it's nice with a combination of visiting Ambroise. If you buy tickets at the official website it's not that expensive.

Absolutely beautiful! With emersive headphones you can really imagine what life was like in the 1600s. We went in mid Sept and almost had the place to ourselves. Beautiful gardens. Highly recommend seeing this amazing chateau.

We only came to walk the gardens, so I can't speak about the inside tour. We had visited so many similar places, we assumed it wouldn't offer anything new. It's a bit expensive to just walk the gardens, but we were on vacation, so....you pay. There are many better locations that offer walking in the garden for free. Consider that before visiting here.

Disneyland Paris is an absolute magical experience! From the moment you enter, you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale. The park is beautifully themed, the rides are exciting for both kids and adults, and there’s so much to see and do. The parades and shows are spectacular, full of energy and charm. Food and merchandise options are plentiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful, making the whole visit smooth and enjoyable. It’s easy to spend a whole day exploring everything. Truly a must-visit for Disney fans and anyone looking for a fun, unforgettable experience in France!

Fantastic!! Absolutely worth the trip! Delicious food, friendly staff, awesome rides, cool attractions, beautiful park, amazing park design, fun merchandise, plenty of places to enjoy, fun for kids and adults of all ages. The restaurants had a wide variety of foods! I loved their vegan options. Incredible design of the Star Wars area was my favorite. Fun parade of costumed dancers dancing down Main Street upon arrival was great. Everything is well done here, all of the staff are top notch. The rides are super fun and make you want to re-ride them immediately. The merchandise shopping has an endless selection all over the park. Beautiful fireworks light show at night upon park closing is definitely worth waiting to see. Definitely worth staying in a walking distance hotel nearby so you aren’t stuck waiting for public transit at the end of the night!!!!!!!!! Shout out to Walt Disney, we all love you!

Both parks are equally good so it’s well worth getting tickets for both. You can comfortably allow a day for each if you have never been before. If you go for a second/third/fourth time you can probably make a long day of it and do the rides and attractions you know you want to do in a single day. The parks are not as big as the ones in Florida but not far off. As ever with a trip to Disney, you can’t expect to turn up and get a table at one of the character restaurants so book those as soon as you’re able to. And check what the situation is with fast passes online before getting there. I believe the days of getting them with your entrance tickets are gone so definitely worth checking before you arrive. Meeting the characters is great but it absolutely devours your time in the parks so decide early on if you want to get into all that. Make sure you download the app before getting there and connect to the park WiFi on arrival. It’s great for seeing the wait times for rides and where to head if you’re doing rope drop. The only thing that can let it down for me are the staff but hey, Disney did decide to build it in France. They could do with taking a leaf out of Tokyo Disney’s book.

Incredible experience everyone needs to go regardless of age and gender! Staff were amazing and so helpful, we had fast track and can’t recommend it enough. They had a gluten free buckwheat crepes, chocolate covered strawberries and a turkey leg, it wasn’t much but all tasted very good. It was a very clean park with lots to do. The firework display was fantastic and so were the parades and shows.

Everything, from the themed snacks and treats to the overall upkeep of the grounds, was top-notch. ​A truly unforgettable visit—definitely recommend going during the fall months for the special festive ambiance!

An amazing place for adults and children alike. Especially those with children should visit it. Be prepared to be patient at some of the rides, but it's worth the wait. You must see the parade in the afternoon, and the evening show after the fireworks is something you will never see anywhere else.

This is a fantastic place to visit,from the UK it’s ideal,so close by plane,just like hopping on a bus. Basically it’s a dream come true for age groups especially the really young,to see the wonderment in their eyes will stay with us forever. All the staff we met were amazing,nothing was too much trouble,everything you could possibly need was well catered for and nothing was too much trouble,the only thing I would say though is pace yourselves because this place is vast and you can wear yourself out very easily if you try to do too much in a day. We will surely come again as it’s a destination that caters for the youngest to the grandparents,”absolutely awesome “.

The experience as a family is 100% and you make infinity of core memories! The organization, the set-up and walking distance between the rides are totally walkable. Hint, have your youngest kid at a hight of 120cm to be able to let them ride almost everything (Indiana Jones is 140cm hight requiret) The app crashed so many times, that I'm more than happy to delete it after the trip! Bring your own food! And beverage!

Absolutely worth the trip! Any Marvel Avengers fan will be in love here. Super fun rides! Absolutely loved the Avengers rollercoaster ride and the Spiderman ride. The Spiderman ride was super cool because you got to sling webs at enemies just like Spiderman. Awesome merchandise store with cool Avengers merch! Huge indoor dining area with lots of food options, including vegan options! Try the vegan salad at Studio 1, it’s great! Also you can get your picture with Mickey Mouse and other characters here!! Really fun, clean, exciting, nostalgic, amazing park! Really cool animatronic Iron Man looks so realistic! Life-size Iron Man Hulkbuster suit at the Stark Factory was so cool. Really enjoyed all the Stitch & Angel merch stores. I had a great time!!! Shout out to Walt Disney, thank you, I love you! Shout out Stan Lee, thank you, I love you! ❤️🥰🙌🎉

This place is amazing. If you have kids or are a kid at heart and have time to go, do it. Take comfortable shoes because the queues are immense. However the atmosphere is superb. The only down side is the price for everything on site. But well worth going just for the evening show and the music....... Warning the music is like an earworm and becomes an obsession if not careful.

Disney Studios is a fantastic park and (normally) i would go as far to say i prefer it over the main Disney park....but.... it is having major work done, and as such this has vastly decreased the park's size. The rest of it still keeps the Disney charm though. Despite visiting at the weekend we found the queues were not as bad as expected (apart from Spiderman). Worth bringing your own snacks in otherwise you'll be waiting a while and paying a lot for it. GOOD 👍 Attention to detail, especially in the sets. Looks fantastic. Some amazing rides. BAD 👎 Half of it is shut off. The old "Backstage Tour" ride has been rebranded and shrunk and is a shadow of it's former self.

The place is nice, but tiny. The attractions are good, and I paid for a "fast pass", which is utterly expensive, but you can only use it once in every attraction, which is absolutely unfair. You pay almost triple the normal fare, so you should be able to enter as many times as you wanted, like it is in Universal parks in Florida, but no. If you want to reenter one attraction, you have to do the normal lane. Unbelievable. And, to aggravate things, several attractions were damaged or closed, which made things much worse, because you have not a lot of choices. Rest aside, the park is enjoyable for the family as ever other Disney park (I know also the ones in Florida).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Walt Disney Studios has transformed so much in recent years! The Ratatouille ride is still a must-do, incredibly immersive and very Parisian (currently under renovation but set to reopen even better in 2026). The new Avengers Campus is a highlight — Spider-Man and Flight Force are thrilling, and the whole Marvel area is full of energy and character encounters. Pixar theming adds charm throughout the park, and with the upcoming expansions (Frozen, Lion King, new entrance hub, Pixar lands), the future looks amazing. Crowds can be heavy, but the magic and quality of the attractions keep me coming back.

Doesn't have the wow factor as the main theme park but certainly is still a great day out. Make sure you leave enough time in your trip to fully explore Walt Disney Studios, do the rides and make sure you see some shows. Nice that they are next door to each other so heading from one to the other on the same day isn't a problem. Tower of Terror is still a great ride after all these years!

Notre-Dame absolutely took my breath away! The cathedral is even more beautiful in person than in pictures — the details on the outside are incredible, and the stained glass inside is just magical. You can really feel the history in every corner. What’s amazing is that it’s completely free to enter the main cathedral! You can just walk in, take your time, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s such a peaceful, awe-inspiring place right in the middle of Paris. Even though parts are still being restored, it’s 100% worth visiting. Don’t miss it — it’s one of those spots that truly captures the spirit of Paris!

An absolute must see when visiting Paris. If you’re able to climb up the towers, I highly recommend it. We were able to get a ticket for 6 PM and made it to the top right around 7 PM in time for sunset. It is over 400 steps of a spiral staircase, but totally worth the view. As for the cathedral highly recommend booking your tickets two days in advance so you don’t have to wait in the extremely line long line. But if you do wait in the line, it does move pretty fast. The cathedral has been restored beautifully. It was such an amazing thing to see.

What a breathtaking building! It’s truly stunning, from both close up and at a distance. Whether in the day time or night-time. Although the rear is not finished with the rebuild following the fire it’s still brilliant. The detailing on the front facade is gorgeous. It’s free to enter the main cathedral but the queues are SO long that you’ll need to decide whether the time spent queuing and missing all the other amazing sites of Paris is worth it for you personally. You really have to see it in person to truly appreciate all the intricacies.

The history of this building is just breathtaking. ​We used a tour guide, which was a great decision as they brought the cathedral to life with amazing stories about its design, architecture, and its famous association with "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame." Learning about the historical artifacts that are housed inside, like the legendary Crown of Thorns, was incredible. ​Seeing it standing so resiliently after the tragic fire is a powerful reminder of its importance to Paris and the world. Even with the ongoing restoration, the spirit and grandeur of this iconic cathedral are undeniable. You simply cannot miss it.

Notre-Dame de Paris is nothing short of breathtaking. The cathedral stands as a powerful symbol of history, culture, and timeless beauty. The Gothic architecture is stunning from every angle — the intricate stone carvings, towering spires, and iconic rose windows are even more impressive in person. Notre dame was absolutely beautiful and stunning on the outside. As a UK tourist, it looked so grand and magnificent in person like a historic piece of artwork where years of hardwork building and sculpting had gone into it. The wait outside wasn't too long and the queue was organised. However, I felt the inside of the cathedral needed a bit more work and improvement with some of the displays, it didn't seem to captivate me as much inside as the outside. Also the historic art virgin and child statue was moved outside suddenly on a pole and that concerned me with the weather outside causing more wear and tear. But overall it was a great attraction to visit.

Very cool seeing this beautiful cathedral. I recommend. Is quite crowded but go early in the morning perhaps or on weekdays and off season to get the most of your experience. Very neat. We didn't go in, just saw from outside as we felt that was enough, also huge cues.

❤The Louvre is a stunning museum with iconic masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and countless treasures to explore. A must-visit in Paris! However, the crowds can be overwhelming, especially near popular exhibits. Arrive early to enjoy it better. Still, an unforgettable experience!

The building itself is a piece of art and then you have all the expositions and collections. Just make sure you enjoy art and reserve the whole day for it as it has rooms on end. Particularly fun was seeing the interpretations of period specific dresses by famous design houses.

It was a short time in Paris so I can't book the ticket in advance. And the day I come to the museum close( on Tuesday). You can book the tickets 🎟 from the website. But I had a chance to visit around, it was a very big place. If you want to see all you need to take more days for it. You have to book before you come. If not, you'll have to wait a few hours to buy a ticket. It was a famous place and I guess it was a main museum in Paris. I was going down to get some relax and play some game 🎮 down there. That was a fun and great experience. I might come back to visit the Louvre museum next time. Highly recommended when you visit Paris

An unforgettable experience! It’s the biggest and one of the most visited museums in the world. The Louvre is truly a treasure trove of world history and art — from the Mona Lisa’s mysterious smile to the grand halls lined with masterpieces. Although the lines are long, it’s absolutely worth the wait. Give yourself plenty of time — you’ll want to get lost in its endless beauty!

World's biggest museum so you have to visit it when in Paris. Worth the visit because there are some world class works of art here. Mona Lisa is the most popular art piece in this museum and it will always be crowded to view it. But plenty of signs leading you to exactly where this is located. The queue was not too bad on a Thursday morning. I reserved for 10am and got in around 10:20am. You line up right outside the glass pyramid. There will be signs for the different times you reserved for. Bring a water bottle with water because the museum did not have a single water fountain. I consciously looked for them and did not find any. Or you can buy an expensive bottle of water from their cafeteria. I stayed for 4 hours and looks like prime time was around 1pm. The cafeteria was packed and people were standing to eat.

Totally worth the visit, but be prepared to walk for more than 4 hours if you want to see everything it has to offer. A lot of different cultures, time periods and artifacts. One of the best museums I’ve ever visited! Buy the tickets in advance and be there 10mins before your time slot!

The greatest museum I have ever seen in Europe. You can see so many different arts. I recommend buying tickets in advance online, otherwise there is a 1-1,5 hour waiting time to entry. Prepare to spend the entire day in the museum. You need about 6-7 hours to see all the museum. You can find coffee shops inside, or bring something to eat with you

A wonderful collection of art from the time of the invent of the camera forward. The Orsay Museum houses some of the world's most treasured art pieces. From Monet, Gauguin, Manet, Renoior to Van Gogh and so many more. Paintings and sculptures abound in the former train station. A half-day should be the minimum amount of time spent in the great halls of the Orsay. My last visit we elected to use a self-guided audio tour and enjoyed every step. The Dance at the Moulin De La Galette by Renoir is my current favorite. Degas' multi-texture sculpture Petite danseuse de quatorze ans is another favorite. The Orsay is along the Seine near many other stops that I like to make when in the area. Stroll along the river and take in the magazine stands and vendors. Maybe a river tour starting from Pont Neuf. With a little time left in your day the Luxembourg Gardens and the Shakespeare and Co Bookstore are easy additions to your afternoon trek. While I might prefer the Louvre or the Vatican overall as a museum...the Orsay has so many great works of art it should be included on your itinerary. Definitely, something for everyone on this side of the Seine.

I absolutely loved the Musée d’Orsay in every way. I'm still processing the incredible experience— the art, its history, and the vibrant energy that fills the space. The best part was that, even during my 3–4 hour visit, it never felt overwhelming like some other large museums. I'll definitely return every time I visit Paris.

Big museum with nice art. Building used to be a train station and they converted it into a museum There are 3 floors and stairs are on both ends. There is a restaurant with an outside terrace to take nice pictures from. I'd recommend coming here if you're in the area.

I didn’t get the ticket in advance but it was very easy to get in. There was only a few people in front of me at purchase point and no wait to get in. Quite crowded inside but if you navigate yourself well you can find moments where people passed by and the spots become quiet. Insane collections. Love love love their pieces. Highly recommend coming here for the Paris visit. I would plan at least 2 hours for being in here so you dont rush around. It was wonderful!

Wow!!! Just wow!!! One of the Must See places in this beautiful city of Love and Lights!!! Paris is my favorite city in the world and this is one of the many reasons why!!! Starry Night is here!!!! Many other amazing pieces of art are houses in this amazing museum!!! Plan on a full day here and make sure to have a meal in the iconic restaurants located here🇫🇷❤️💯

Too many tourists - the impressionist section was more like a football ground. The museum controlled the entrance to the cafe better than the crowds in the impressionist section. It was impossible to enjoy the art. Not worth the entrance fee in my view.

A beautiful large museum that used to be a train station. Has multiple levels of art work from modern to post impressionism. The Starry night was one of the main attractions. There is a huge cafe on the top level, and a large outside area to see great views of Paris - can clearly see the Sacre Couer Basilique in the distance. This is a must visit in Paris.

Well, if one is in Paris it’s hard not to visit. Queues can be long so best to get there early and be prepared to wait for a while. Tickets are not expensive. Splendid views from the top, of course, particularly on clear days. Overall well worth a visit if one is there. Fun for all the family although small children may get bored by the wait and be less than impressed.

The views of Paris are spectacular, giving you a completely different perspective of the city. Being inside the lattice work of the tower itself is an experience. It adds so much context to this magnificent monument. ​Tips for Visitors: ​Book Tickets in Advance: Lines can be very long, so pre-booking is essential to save time. ​Allow Plenty of Time: There are security checks, queues for the lifts, and plenty of things to see once you're up there, so don't rush the experience. ​Photo Ops: The viewing platforms offer incredible spots for family photos, framed by the beautiful ironwork and the city below. ​Overall, the Eiffel Tower is a must-see landmark that lives up to its reputation. We walked up the stairs to the second floor which was a right mission... but so worth it the views as you walk up are brilliant. Had a refreshment stop before heading to the top via the elevator. Stunning views of the city on a very clear fine day...

It's just a miracle. The best place I've ever seen. I recommend it to absolutely everyone. The spirit is breathtaking. And in the evening it's even better because it shimmers. I recommend climbing the tower, the views are beautiful.

Beautiful structure no matter which angle you take the photo from whether it's day time or night time. There's a small museum on top of the tower. Amazing views of the surrounding areas around Eiffel Tower. It's good if you take the skip the line ticket as you can go up without queueing.

Proud to have actually been there to see it. Incredible fascinating structure. Great view, if one manages to go up for a look-see. Naturally, a ticket needs to be bought as per one's time slot. There are lifts to take you up, some tiny shops to let you browse and to buy souvenirs for back home give-aways.

Seeing it up close, you realize how massive it really is, far larger and more imposing than photos suggest. I visited recently, and the experience was unforgettable. The monument stands proudly at the Place Charles de Gaulle, surrounded by a never-ending swirl of traffic, yet it somehow feels peaceful once you step onto the pedestrian walkway beneath it. You can climb to the top terrace (about 280 steps), and the view is absolutely worth it — the Eiffel Tower, La Défense, and the Champs-Élysées stretch out in perfect symmetry. What's not to love. It's an incredible landmark and more beautiful than I imagined. Make sure to take pictures not just close up but farther away as well. If you are trying to figure out where to stay, I would recommend staying near the arc instead of near the Eiffel Tower.

I visited the observatory in spring, summer, autumn and winter because the colours around the Arc de Triomphe change with each season, and they are beautiful. The view is also different by day and by night; while the Eiffel Tower offers a lovely panorama, the Champs-Élysées seen from here, especially at night, is even more striking and well worth the climb. Most people do not take the lift but climb the very narrow circular stone staircase, so those with mobility issues or the elderly should use the lift instead. Tickets must be purchased in advance for your preferred time slot on the official website. The staff at the ticket desk are very friendly, so if you need assistance, simply queue and they will be glad to help.

One of the most iconic and must-visit landmarks in Paris, located near Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station. From this point, twelve grand avenues radiate outward, with the world-famous Champs-Élysées being one of them, leading all the way to Place de la Concorde. Just visited the iconic Arc de Triomphe in Paris and I'm still pinching myself! This monumental arch was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to honor his Grande Armée and was finally completed in 1836. The monument's sheer grandeur and historical significance left me in awe. The views from the top are breathtaking, with the City of Light stretching out in every direction. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the eternal flame add a poignant touch to this symbol of French national pride. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Paris!

Unbelievably beautiful cathedral! Have seen quite a few in my lifetime but this one was special. Beautifully restored and not too busy. Loved the inside even more than the outside.

If you are only in Chartres for a few hours spend them visiting the incredible and Architecturally astounding Cathedral. Being the first UNESCO awarded and supported further by the volume of original stain glass. If able to stay for the evening the light show on and around this Cathedral and the surrounding Chartres centre is highly recommended.

Beautiful cathedral of Chartres. They made beautiful renovations, everything is really clear and neat. Even with clouds and no sunshine, the inside is bright enough to see through the painted glasses of the windows. They are marvelous piece of art. If you have the chance to be in the area, you should take the time to walk there and look for yourself how gigantic and stunning it is. What actually surprised me the most is how modern they are inside. They have contactless payment card machine for donation at each corner of the cathedral. So if you don't have coins like me, you can still use your card to pay to lit a candle or novena. The hours of the priest are written on a card board inside. The confessional is brightly litten and has a priest waiting inside for anyone who wants to confess theirs sins. This is unseen for me before today in France. There is also a treasury room which you have to pay to access it. Overall a great place to visit. I advise to park your car at the parking lot of Cathedral. There almost non existant place to park there.

Magnificent, historic, surrounded by lots of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops and not flooded with tourists when we visited. Chartres is an utterly beautiful city well worth a couple of days of your time. BEWARE, the cathedral is atop a hell of a climb up through steeply sloped streets.

An excellent holy place in the heart of Chartres, our lady of Chartres Cathedral is a must visit. You can visit during the day for prayer and tourism and during the night for an exquisite laser show. Enjoy...

One of the greatest High Gothic cathedrals now reinvented with its controversial very light painting of the pillars and vaulted ceilings… it grew on me as we walked round, I concluded it’s wonderful not least by setting off the magical 13th C stained glass. We love the way it feels it’s still an active place of worship, not the case in all French cathedrals.

A beautiful cathedral that easily rivals the Paris equivalent. We were lucky to visit at a time where it was illuminated at night. Very impressive. However if you're visiting the crypt, make sure you are told correctly where the tour starts, as we were given wrong instructions and therefore missed it. Staff could have been more helpful here.

Fantastic day out, bought the Gold level fast passes so walked on to most rides, wasn’t overcrowded. Little bit more of a language barrier then say at Disney but it didn’t cause us any issues. Highly recommend visiting even if you don’t know the comics as the rides are amazing!

Good theme park in northern France, 45 minutes from Paris. If you enjoy Asterix and Obelix you will enjoy this parc. Themed after them. Easy to get to, easy parking. A bit expensive tbh 20 euro at the time of writing the review. The rest of the parc is a bit on the cheaper side of the theme parc pricing. Merchandise is a bit more reasonable priced then other Parcs, also goes for food and drinks. They have some really great coasters, and also a lot of lesser thrill rides for if you have smaller children. Indeed a parc for the whole family. The "Greek" part of the parc seems a little worn down and could use a bit of a overhaul but the Icarus ride there is really great. The best parts are the Egyptian area and the village area. Recommend if you are in the area!

Great theme park. Rides are great and queues are short. Longest queue is around 45 mins on bank holiday in August. They have worked hard on the theming. So much better than Alton Towers.

Great day at Parc Asterix on Halloween 2025. The park was decorated fantastically and the staff did a great job creating scary moments (my son was terrified by the chainsaw man). The Parc feels like it's split in two, one area around the lake feels more dated and in need of refurb, whereas the area with Toutatis is much better. The Parc has a great selection of rides and coasters - Toutatis in particular is amazing and worth the admission alone. Kids enjoyed it and I'd happily return. Would recommend it over Disney for rollercoaster enthusiasts.

Parc Astérix was hands down the best theme park experience we had in Paris. It’s more affordable than Disneyland Paris and offers a wider variety of rides; especially for thrill seekers. From roller coasters to immersive themed zones, the park delivers nonstop fun without the need for a fast pass. The only real downside is accessibility. Unlike Disney, which is easily reached via public transportation, getting to Parc Astérix requires a bit more planning. It’s located outside the city in Plailly, and while there are shuttle options, they’re less frequent and not as straightforward. Food options are pretty much what you’d expect from most parks; not the best, but they get the job done. Another thing to note: their operating hours are more limited than other theme parks we’re used to. Depending on the season, the park may close earlier or be open fewer days, so it’s worth checking ahead when planning your visit. Still, once you arrive, the experience is absolutely worth it. We loved our time there and would recommend it to anyone looking for high-energy attractions and a break from the usual tourist circuit.

Lovely place, full of amazing rides with a good choose of rollercoasters for everyone. Lots of activities live people in costumes and the Coliseum where performances take place. It's like Disneyland.

Great theme park, with an attention to the theme throughout the park and each area. The staff were obviously happy at work and had fun with the visitors. It was hot the day we visited and the staff had water pistols, a great fun addition to the queue. The park was very clean and well looked after, the rides all worked all of the day. My only negative is that Toutatis was not operating all day and no one seemed to be able to tell us why. We will definitely be coming back.

Monet's house and Gardens were a must see on my trip to France. We were just there a few weeks ago (late September) and the gardens were lush and absolutely stunning. We had entry tickets at 12pm and didnt have to wait. It was a great time of year to visit, we got a mix of very colorful flowers, autumn changes starting but also a good amount of water lilies that had bloomed. Really stunning. We walked into the town of Giverny after walking through the house and gardens and it was such a quaint town. We stopped at the Giverny chocolat shop, very good! Highly recommend a stop in Giverny!

Always wanted to visit and I wasn't disappointed. Even in mid October, the gardens are still beautiful with many flowers in bloom. The lily pond had a bit of scum on but still pretty. The house is lovely. So many original photos and paintings, though few of Monet's. Then of course there is the shop. Lots of lovely gifts and books. Plenty of free parking with free overnight campervan parking nearby.

Visiting Claude Monet’s house has been my dream, and it finally came true. The place is truly stunning and incredibly captivating from a design perspective. Every detail is beautifully crafted, and the colors are chosen to perfection. The garden is well-kept and absolutely gorgeous, with the iconic lily pond I had always wanted to see - simply remarkable. The entire estate is so well maintained, and being there felt like touching something truly sublime.

We stopped here on our way to Normandy from Paris and were amazed at all the blooming flowers in late September. Monet’s house was a quaint cottage with beautiful views of the gardens. The restaurant food was delicious and the server was wonderful. Highly recommend it!

I don't know where to start! The house is a piece of art the gardens are pieces of art, the whole town is cute! Absolutely beautiful. Things that should be considered, how to get there, the season, the crowd, so that you know what to expect,I've been there twice, in June it was super hot super crowded but beautiful, and in October , chill weather less crowded, less flowers but the trees were magical

It was quite crowded for a rainy October day. I think it's quite difficult to get there in the summer. When you get off the train from Paris, you have two transportation options: a shuttle and a bus that resembles a children's train. Both cost 10 euros. I don't think the shuttle bus runs between 1:20 and 3:20, so keep that in mind when planning your return train. Monet's extensive Japanese collection was quite striking. The interior was quite colorful. If you don't plan to spend much time taking photos and want to explore the village, 3-3.5 hours is more than enough. There's an interesting mechanical museum in Giverny, open from 2 pm to 6 pm. Time your visit accordingly for a more enjoyable trip. Other than that, it's a typical European village.

Absolutely beautiful but very very crowded. The gardens are very easy to walk with wonderful displays of flowers. The lake is spectacular The house is easy to navigate and quite lovely we had approximately a 15 min queue to enter. I would advise you to buy tickets on line before hand the queues for tickets were massive. We got on line tickets so had no wait time. Parking is plentiful and free. There's a good choice of restaurants and cafes just outside the gardens they are quite pricey.

It is such a beautiful church. The artworks are magnificent. I love how they have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from Tuesday to Saturday; before the daily mass.

Huge cathedral, at least in my experience, as I am not really a cathedral expert.... One can choose which Saint to honour of to pray to or burn a candle for. Extremely detailed tableaux with more or less medieval daily life and church life images. The whole building is so full of symbols and sculptures that it is impossible to grasp. The large organ was under restoration, but also that is huge. Worth a visit, it is for free and nice cool inside on top of all those holiness.

I have a thing for Cathedrals, and this one was exceptional. Bigger than the one in Paris it’s filled with stunning details. Free light show on the facade every evening in the summer. We visited on a Friday afternoon and it was very quiet. We were driving past Amiens and I’m very glad we stopped!

I was stunned at first sight and drawn into the mysticism and ritual. Then suddenly the Sun came out and the nave was bathed in mystic light and I was stunned anew. It was a night-and -day experience and it was still only noon. The experiences you have here are of the things you hold dear for your life.

Built in the 1200s to impress and to house John the Baptist’s head, and it still does both. Bigger than Notre-Dame in Paris, sharper in detail, cleaner in structure. The façade is a textbook in Gothic sculpture, but not chaotic — it’s all deliberately ordered. Inside, it’s vast and surprisingly bare, which only makes the architecture stand out more. Worth a visit but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend going to Amiens specifically to see the cathedral.

Visiting Amiens Cathedral was like stepping into a living monument of medieval art, history, and faith. It’s a Gothic cathedral in the north of France. It’s huge, peaceful, and full of beautiful details from the 13th century. Also: It’s wheelchair accessible with ramps and smooth paths.

This church is the largest Gothic cathedral in Europe. I was skeptical about this having been to Notre Dame in Paris many times. I really wasn't prepared for how tall this building is, it was astonishing really. It's not as beautiful as the one in Paris especially since the renovation there, but very impressive nonetheless. Amiens is a lovely town to visit, don't miss taking a boat tour of the canal. It's beautiful and affordable.

A sombre place - 'a First World War memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the missing British and Commonwealth soldiers who have no known grave in the Ypres Salient, with their names engraved on the walls of the memorial.' - I felt choked up approaching this place remembering my relatives that served here including my grandfather wounded at Passchendaele. We also saw groups of school kids, including some Indian students, and their teacher and a male and female student carried a wreath to lay remembering Indians who served as part of the British Empire.

I was here twice in one day, on a bus tour from brussels. Once around lunch, and then once at 7pm to stay for the 8pm last post ceremony. -Its a large "Gate" building, the functions as a road as well except at 8pm, when police close the road for the last post ceremony. The sidewalk is also roped off, you cannot cross this gate into or out of city between 7:50pm-8:20pm, by foot or car. -You can walk up the steps in the middle to the upper parts on either side, its more walls of names. -You can participate in the last post Ceremony if you have a poppy wreath similar to theirs. You can bring from home, or Buy a wreath at the "Info shop" across the road from the gate, inside the city. The man running the ceremony said they never turn away someone that wants to participate. -The last post ceremony gets busy, we arrived 1 hour before to be sure we got front row, and we did, but it does get busy. The ceremony itself is about 10min long, with a short trumpet call, then a short speech, then people walk up and put wreaths, and then trumpets again, and its over. The guide said sometimes there is more people putting wreaths, sometimes there is more speeches, sometimes more music performances, so it could take longer sometimes. Overall it was a nice memorial to the fallen soldiers

Have visited a few times before. Last time (2024) it was closed for restoration, all done now and looking great. There’s an office on site where they will help you locate the name of a lost family member. (Don’t try to read all the names or you’ll never find the one you want). If your schedule allows, stay for the Last Post ceremony, done every day. Right in the town centre of Ypres, a beautiful place to visit.

Must visit if you are in the area. Visited 2 evenings in a row for the last post ceremony. Very emotional and a sombre occasion. Called into the CWGC shop across the road too

This is a must visit site in Ypres, especially at 8pm every day when the last post is played. It is remarkable that this service happens every day of the year more than 100 years after WW1, but then it remains as poignant and relevant today as ever (sadly). We attended on two consecutive nights, one night with the Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band playing (incredible) the next with a female choral choir. Both were very moving. I estimated about 500 people attended both nights. The four or five horn players of the last post were clearly very experienced. The gate itself is a mini-museum, and it is very impactful to see the thousands of names of lost soldiers from so many countries. Really, everyone should visit this site.

The gate is a large memorial to the British Empire and Dominions troops that were killed in the Great War. It was built in the 1920s and has the names of 54,000 allied servicemen who lost their lives but have no known grave, inscribed on panels inside the building. It is sited on the road that the troops used to march along to reach the nearby Ypres salient, scene of fighting for pretty much the entire war. It is also where the famous Last Post ceremony takes place. We read the CWGC information boards and saw the information on the hill next to the gate and then we walked through the galleries with the names of the fallen before joining the crowds to listen to the ceremony. I was surprised at how busy it was and the ceremony itself lasted about 15 minutes but the colonnade was full 45 minutes before it started. It was a lovely ceremony with the Last Post and then two songs sung by St Anthony's Catholic Girl School from Market Weighton.

A must see experience. Lots of emotions. Make up your own mind as to a celebration of war or a monument against it! A waste of human life for a just cause or maybe a monument against war. A lesson from history about the waste of war and its leaders who send men to there death! Looking at the world at the moment, have we learned? But to those who lost their lives a very moving monument.

We visited D on a weekday during the holidays, and it was an awesome experience! The aquarium offers a wonderful opportunity to view and learn about a wide variety of sea creatures. It's both fun and educational, especially for kids. They will definitely enjoy the interactive exhibits and get a chance to gain knowledge about marine life. The display of different types of sea fishes—from colorful reef species to large predators—is truly fascinating. The environment is well-maintained and family-friendly, making it a perfect holiday outing. Highly recommended for families looking for an engaging and informative day out! Recommended to visit in the morning session to avoid the crowds.

This should definitely be on any to do list if in or around the Boulogne area. Worth the money and time we'll spent. Would recommend leaving at least 4 hours as there is plenty to see and the large tank is truly amazing. Was shocked when seeing the large manta ray emerge from the darkness for the first time. It's also very educational so would highly recommend. Will go again next time I'm in the area

The most amazing experience! 3 main exhibits, the first of which I spent more then two hours in, gazing at the largest aquarium in Europe was comfortable, spacious and signs were easily translated. Many of the staff were bilingual and so helpful! There were little spots to eat including a restaurant, clean restrooms and lockers to store your belongings. Outside the front of Nausicaa is also a lovely green area with children's play park and access to watch the sea lions! There was so much information accessible and interactive activities to keep children engaged whilst being educational. I will absolutely return here one day!

This is a beautiful aquarium with an excellent story telling about the ocean. We really enjoyed the jelly fishes , corals and the story telling. I don't fully agree with the sea lion attraction hype but they are nice. The best is the manta ray fish in the main pool which makes all the kid wonder with awe and equally so the adults. This place has a good restaurant as well and therefore don't worry about going out for food. This place takes 4.5 hrs of you would like to walk through everything.

Such a brilliant day out with the family. It is so much bigger than we were expecting. 3 different areas to look around, with so many tanks and other things to do. Lovely restaurant on site with lots of options. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to the area. 10/10. Definitely book in advance online, we were able to book the group tickets and saved a lot of money. It was very busy, with lots of school trips. We went on a Friday.

This place is truly one of the best! It offers so much more than a typical aquarium. the experience is absolutely surreal. Please note that outside food isn't allowed, but the on-site café serves both hot and cold meals. With multiple levels to explore, it's a good idea to fuel up beforehand. Be prepared for a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and come ready for an adventure!

Wonderful aquarium with huge tanks, so many different species of fish and some big Stingrays and sharks and a selection of well thought it and interesting exhibits. The cafe is good too and plenty to see and do for the day, even the kids are entertained.

Absolutely a fantastic place to visit oozing with history. The site is large so allow plenty of time. It's also hilly and within the castle there is a lot of stairs. The tunnels under the castle were fascinating especially if you have an interest in WWII. Though they date back to the late 1700s. Tours are run at regular intervals and the staff are extremely knowledgeable. All staff were helpful and nice. We were able to park on site but I imagine school holidays could cause an issue sometimes. There's is a carpack for disabled drivers much closer and on a flatter level near the castle itself. Plenty of toilets dotted around the grounds and a cafe and ice cream van as well as one serving hot drinks and snacks. Small p.ay area with climbing equipment for children. Great views over Dover and the port. Also visit the Saxon Church that is within the grounds.

Was a wonderful visit,went there with a friend of mine and we explored everything the castle had to offer. Under the castle there are some interesting tunnels with a lot of interesting stories. You will learn a bit about the war and the importance of the castle in the past. It's worth the money.

You could easily spend a whole day here visiting the various sections of the large site. Of special interest to us were the Secret War Tunnels. It is a 30-minute tour with an informed and entertaining guide. (Unfortunately no photos allowed.) There is no extra fee for the tour. It is included with your entrance fee. There is also a tour of the hospital tunnels which we didn’t have time to take but would have been interested to see. We also enjoyed seeing the castle which is furnished in replicas from the period which we didn’t expect. Again, the attendants were friendly and informed. On a nice day there are lovely picnic area to enjoy.

Travelled from Folkestone to visit the Castle on my way home to London and could have kicked myself as id left my bank card at the hotel so didn't manage to get inside the castle which was a disappointment. The grounds are stunning and the views over the harbour are exceptional.

There is so much to see here - definitely plan enough time! I would recommend buying tickets online, if you can. If not, you can drive up and park, then walk inside and purchase tickets in the gift shop in the main castle area at the top of the hill. The grounds are really well maintained and the staff is so friendly and helpful! The various tours close early, so be sure to hit them first, then tour the rest at your leisure. We started at the top, toured the tunnels, then went and did the two tours at the bottom before making the trek back up. (I would recommend this route) There is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes! The views are incredible and there is so much to see. The only thing we weren’t a big fan of was the gaudy colors of the decorations in the main castle - they reminded us of a children’s play set - but that’s just our opinion. It definitely didn’t dampen the experience! There are ample restroom facilities located all around the property. It seemed like the kind of place that might be difficult to maneuver in a manual wheelchair, but we don’t use a wheelchair so there might be accommodations we didn’t see. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Brilliant place to visit. Be prepared to spend all day. Lots to see and do.Great tower, keep,old church and ancient lighthouse, ramparts, secret defence tunnels, wartime tunnels,various exhibitions, battlements, glorious views across Dover and the Channel. Definitely a English Heritage jewel.

Absolutely worth the visit. We were scheduled to board the ferry and had a few hours to ourselves. We visited the castle and were absolutely amazed at how much there is to see. The local guides were friendly and very informative - their knowledge, not only of the castle but general English history, is very impressive. This castle is well worth the visit.

Great pub in a great location. Went here during seven sisters hike. The place was very busy and service was quick. Most of the food items were well done; unfortunately our chips were undercooked, and we had a difficult time getting their attention to get a replacement. They did replace, but only after we were done with our meal. We will definitely visit again.

Wonderful experience. The staff were so kind accommodating and nice, especially Lilly. The views are truly amazing, and the food was super. Will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend it

We visited The Beachy Head on a recommendation from a couple that rate it highly enough to dine here on Christmas Day every year - so figured it must have something about it. We were so pleased we gave it a go! If you're going for a Sunday roast they seem popular, so worth booking ahead - like we did - via the website, guaranteeing a table when you want it. It's no exageration when I say we had the best roast dinners we've enjoyed in quite some time - which is impressive considering the number of roast dinners they were producing during our visit! The pork belly was perfect, and there were so many flavours to enjoy on the plate (I don't think I've ever had roasted apple before). That in itself was great, but the views from out table looking back towards Birling Gap were stunning, while the ambience in the place made for a lively, but cosy way to warm up from a bracing walk. Excellent service, too, from our server who was communicative and attentive throughout. Sometimes you get a great tip-off about somewhere to visit. Trust me, this is definitely one of them...

Excellent views with dog walking areas nr restaurant. Beachy Head allows dogs inside so proved very popular and busy. Bit of a wait for food due to it being a Saturday. Staff friendly and efficient. Food excellent and reasonable priced. Would recommend

We had a wonderful experience here! The location is absolutely beautiful with a stunning view, and we really enjoyed watching the sunset. The food was delicious and the service was excellent – a special thanks to our waiter Aaron, who made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Have been here a couple of times for Sunday roast, sat outside in the summer and it was amazing with that view.. the food is great plenty to eat. Have had some problems with service and a couple members if staff could do with hospitality attitude adjustment, but most are very helpful and service with a smile...

Went on a Thursday, a week day. Large cathedral, bigger than expected. It did have some construction ongoing outside so that did affect the pictures of the building. Staff and volunteers inside were friendly and happy to tell you a lot about the history, for free. Ticket office staff also helpful explaining the differences in tickets. Very quick and easy. Cathedral probably needs two visits and definitely a tour guide to fully appreciate. There is a cafe and restaurant, and even a hotel. Toilet facilities were adequate. Good places to sit and read if you need a break also. Definitely will return.

Very impressed. More than expected. Magnificent architecture. Huge, light, airy and less dark and oppressive when compared with Westminster Abbey. Beautiful ceilings and stained glass and extensive history. Less ‘tombs’ and fortunately less busy midweek. During our visit a Chaplain addressed all visitors briefly from the pulpit, and offered a prayer, using the cathedral for it’s intended purpose as a place of worship - not a tourist attraction - as it should be. The entry fee to the Cathedral is very reasonable considering the cost of maintaining the building and overseeing visitors. We paid an additional small sum for a guided tour which was exceptional. Lucky to get a ticket. The volunteer gave us a lot of insight into the development of Christianity in the UK, the various phases of the Church during different occupations and global conflicts, the murder of Thomas Beckett in 1170 AD, the destruction of his shrine by King Henry VIII in 1538, all wrapped up with visiting the different areas of the building and outlining the many extensions and renovations over 1000 years! Wonderful learning experience.

A beautiful and peaceful place to spend the day. You can wander around the whole site taking in all of the history and story of the cathedral. There is plenty to see inside both in the crypt and the main floor. You can walk through the entire cathedral. There are places set aside for prayer and quiet contemplation. The outside areas are quiet and interesting to look at. Since the building has been cleaned on the outside you get a good feel for the surroundings and what it would have looked like when it was built. Hearing the bells on the hour was magical and seeing the places where St Thomas was murdered and the site of his tomb before it was destroyed in the reformation makes you stop and think. A fantastic day and a day of learning is never wasted. One day I will return to learn some more. Thank you.

Beautiful Cathedral inside and outside. Very well maintained. You might need two days to walk around inside and outside, lovely gardens with lots of historical information. We thought it was free to enter, but it wasn't. We brought tickets either £19 or £21.00 each (don't remember exactly) they are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. Just as well really, we thought they opened early on Sunday mornings, but they don't they have Sunday service and they open at 12.30. We had planned to go somewhere else and couldn't wait that long. We managed to walk around inside on Saturday morning early when it was quiet. The cathedral echos when people are talking, it looses it's essence of peace and solidtude. Definitely check the opening and closing times when planning a visit, it isn't visible from the outside of the cathedral which currently has scaffolding surrounding it for maintenance work. I will definitely go back to walk around the remainder of the cathedral before our tickets expire.

Went for a short stay to see Cathedral and town. So historic and interesting. (Museum was great too...and free! ). Went to a choral evensong with the school girls choir, in the Cathedral....beautiful. Next day toured the Cathedral and amazing Crypt. Well worth the money. Walking outside to other historic sites in the Cathedral area, afterwards. We didn't book tickets,as at the beginning of November, it was not busy.

Stunning... Just walking around this magnificent building is a delight... And there's no charges. So with a beautiful cathedral and a lovely quaint town with plenty of food options you definitely cannot go wrong for a good day out..

The Cathedral is truly a jewel of medieval architecture. The town, where Charles Dickens once lived for a while, has its own magic. You can feel the atmosphere of English life, away from the hustle and bustle of London (in a certain sense, it conveyed this to me). In the winter, it comes alive with university student life, and I think the pace of daily life changes, but despite everything, it remains beautiful to visit, perhaps even better.

​I had a truly fantastic trip to Leeds Castle. This place is awesome—it genuinely feels like a jewel in a crown. ​While the entry cost is significant, it is absolutely worth the price because there is SO MUCH TO DO, making it an easy full-day trip. Even better, your ticket allows you to return for a whole year! ​The grounds are magnificent and incredibly varied, featuring beautiful hilly areas, serene lakes, and varied walled garden areas. Don't miss the maze, the epic-looking children's playground, the Birds of Prey display, and the unique and fun Dog Collar Museum (the only one, I believe!). Inside the castle is amazing, filled with great displays and information. ​What really stands out is the clear investment and the incredible staff. The whole operation is so well-organized, and there are countless staff members who were universally friendly, kind, and helpful. ​The café was especially great! The food was good, and the Lemon Drizzle Cake was absolutely sublime—a perfect break during the day. ​Plus, you can buy duck food in the gift shop—a small touch, but very fun for feeding the birds! Highly, highly recommend this incredible historical gem.

Wow, Leeds castle was stunning. Set in the countryside, the drive up to the castle you knew it was going to be spectacular and we weren't disappointed. The grounds are stunning. It just got better and better, the Maze, Falconry, castle. The food was good here and the restaurant was superb. There was a boat ride available on the lake, Go-Ape, play areas. You could easily spend a day here. The staff were polite and knowledgeable and the castle itself is steeped in history.

An absolute gem — the most beautiful castle in the UK! If you’re visiting Kent or anywhere in the UK, this is the castle you can’t miss. The location is peaceful, and the atmosphere feels magical from the moment you arrive. A must-visit in Kent and one of the most beautiful castles in England!

Absolutely stunning castle afloat it's moat. Beautiful gardens as well, especially the Mediterranean area. Enjoyed seeing all the various sculptures around the gardens. Lots to see and do. Fun maze to get lost in. The castle itself is amazing and beautiful inside. Had a lovely chat with one of the volunteer guides. He informed us that sadly no black swans currently at the castle due to avian flu 🥲. You can have a boat trip on tge lake but this costs extra on top of the admission price!

We stayed in accommodation on site, marvelous location for a three night stay. Beautiful landscape and gardens, use of all facilities on site during our stay, castle is a fascinating place to visit with lovely walks in the grounds, a visit to the birds of pray is a good choice. All the staff are amazing and friendly and helpful.

Lovely historic castle with plenty of interest other than the main building, beautiful grounds and lakes, there's a small road train shuttle from near the entrance to the castle, which is about a ten minute walk from the entrance, £1.50 each way. The falconry display is a must, the staff that do this are very knowledgeable about their subject, and don't forget to duck !! 😃 All in all a great day out. Oh and dont forget the small lake ferry and maze.

The 125 acres of gardens are stunning and a massive part of the attraction. They are meticulously maintained and offer something different in every season. Picnic is a good idea: While there are on-site cafes and restaurants, they can be a bit pricey. The grounds offer numerous scenic spots for a picnic. ​Wear comfortable shoes: The gardens and lake walk cover a significant amount of ground. ​Time it right: If you are a history fanatic, plan for half a day in the castle/formal gardens. If you have children, plan for the whole day to enjoy the mazes and playgrounds.

Such a beautiful place to visit and plenty of history... looking around the castle it self is very interesting, I would recommend taking the audio guide when offered to you as has plenty of information, as if it busy its hard to get to the information signs which are dotted about. The gardens are well looked after and beautiful to wander around on a sunny day. They have cafes and shops to look around to. The grounds are fine for wheel chairs and a buggy but the castle isn't suitable

Beautiful castle and grounds with a lot of history. Be prepared to spend quite a few hours here. The water maze was fun, and not just for children, be warned, you may get wet, but not if you are careful 😉. Autumn was a great time to visit for the leaf colour but I would imagine it is stunning anytime of year. Definitely recommended.

My wife and and I only got to see castle and gardens because we over 6 hours of time to kill before our flight from Gatwick Airport.It was was one of the best decisions we have ever made, we were lucky with the weather, it was a lovely sunny and warm day and the castle and gardens looked superb, but the garden were outstanding, ! The castle itself is worth seeing being the home of Anne Boleyn and her family, but we found the gardens magnificent and well worth coming to visit alone.

Definitely recommend to visit. Please allow between 4 hours min to visit the castle and enjoy the gardens if you love Nature. Perfect for solo, family days out. Preferably try to avoid to visit on rainy days. Otherwise a lovely experience 👌

We visit a lot of NT, English Heritage and other Historical properties and I have to say that this place is at the top of the pile. Superb gardens and lake, fantastically maintained. Beautiful house steeped in Tudor history (Anne Boleyn). Also Falconry displays, Pedalo hire and more. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Our kids love this place, we go every year for the day. Great price for entry and half price after 5pm. Open till late, plenty to do in the area. Carers can get a wristband for half price, up to two Carers but you need to buy tickets on the day at the park itself. Other tickets can be brought online or on the day.

We visited on the first day of our week holiday. We went for the annual pass as the children will want to visit again and the pass also gets discounts for food, shop etc. We are now on day 3 and going again! Well worth the money! The queues are very quick, we could wait nearby and see them in the queue for the majority of the rides. I wanted to go on a couple of rides so bought some ride tickets separately (no need for a day or annual pass for me 🤣)

VISIT DATE: SAT 20/09/2025 VISIT TIME: 13:30 - 20:00 Adventure Island is a fantastic place to visit if you have children and are in the Southend area. We’re based in Hornchurch, about an hour away by car, or you can also travel quite easily via C2C from Upminster, so my ex and I have visited a number of times with our daughter, starting when she was 3 (she’s now 6). The park promotes itself as free entry, but no one is going to come just to walk through it, so the reality is that you’ll need to get a day pass to take advantage of the rides. At time of writing, it’s £35 for the day, but you can save £10 by purchasing online in advance. If you’re planning to go more than once, then it makes sense to upgrade to an annual pass. These are currently on sale at £50 and do not start until the first time you go. If your child is under 120cm tall, you won’t need your own pass, as they need someone taller (and at least 14 years old) to ride with them. As you’d expect, during the summer, or on character event days, the park is very busy, so there are queues for rides, but going off season reduces this dramatically. We were really blessed with a quiet day, so barely any queuing time, all rides open, with the exception of one, which was closed due to a mechanical issue and the park and rides were open till 8pm. It was also a warm day - being inside the park means that you are sheltered from the wind coming off the Thames Estuary, so even when it’s breezy, you don’t really feel it. There are a variety of rides, with plenty of slower ones for younger children, or those who don’t like faster stuff. Oh these, we really like Adventureville and Spooksville (which is the “scary” version, in darkness and with models of monsters and clowns, as well as appropriate sound effects), and you’ve also got stuff like little trains and boats and the best Crooked House ever, which has been an attraction on the site since 1949, surviving the great flood of 1953 and various ownership changes and developments over the years. I loved this attraction as a child and my daughter loves it too! There are also a number of rollercoasters, with more gentle ones, then building up to Rage, which has a vertical drop and loops. My daughter is looking forward to being tall enough to do that, but she’ll be going on with her Dad when that time comes, not me! There is also a water slide and an indoor area, Adventure Inside, which features a few more rides, including a traditional carousel (my personal favourite) and a decent sized soft play. Staff at the park are generally young, so they have lots of enthusiasm (if we lived nearer, I’d probably encourage my daughter to apply when she’s older, as I think it’s probably a pretty fun working environment, as well as quite hard work) and they are also friendly and helpful when you need anything. As well as the rides that are included in with your entry, there are also plenty of stalls encouraging you to spend more, like “Hook-a-Duck”, which my daughter loves. This is where having an annual pass is beneficial, as you get 20% discount on purchases, including from the food and drink stalls, of which there are also many! Personally, we recommend avoiding the restaurants inside the park as they’re not that great and there are loads of really nice local places a few minutes walk away which deserve supporting. You can also spend money on a Funtopia gamecard, to use on the many games machines in the arcade areas. You can pay to play with a debit / credit card, but the Funtopia card gives you extra credit and allows you to collect points which can be exchanged for prizes. Annual pass also gives you extra credit! Plenty of toilets in the park, including accessible and baby change. All in reasonable condition throughout the day. Overall, we really enjoy visiting and will continue to do so; it’s a great day out on its own, but when you add the other nearby attractions to the mix (Sealife Adventure, Southend Pier, spending time on the beach and in the water when it’s warm enough), this is a fabulous place to visit.

⭐☆☆☆☆ We visited Adventure Island last week and purchased annual passes for our family. On our return visit, I was excited to bring along four other families—18 people in total—after highly recommending the park, even convincing them to travel from Birmingham for the experience. However, our visit was completely overshadowed by the poor treatment we received as annual pass holders. Despite having email confirmation of our passes and our photos already in the system from the first visit, we mistakenly forgot our physical cards. Instead of offering a simple solution—like issuing wristbands, as we were already registered—the supervisor insisted we pay £6 for replacement cards. We offered to just get the wristbands and even showed our ID and confirmation emails, but were told we had no option except to pay, even though they clearly had our details on record. It felt like a money-grabbing tactic rather than genuine customer care, especially after I brought so many new paying customers to the park. Very disappointing and embarrassing after highly recommending the place to friends and family. If you're considering an annual pass here, beware: there is no help or flexibility if you forget your card, and you’ll be forced to pay extra fees on top of the not-insignificant cost of entry. Not the level of service or understanding I'd expect from a top family attraction.

Discounted tickets after 5pm. Got to be quick if you want to do all the rides. Rage was the best. 2cm too short for two. Height checks in que. Ferris wheel took ages. Some ride staff were brilliant. Got wet on the green water slide. Toilets at either end. Plenty of places for food and drink. A good enough park to say you've done.

For a seaside, this is one of the biggest fairgrounds I've come across. For families, it would be great value as there is a great variety of rides for old and young if using their wristbands. Alternatively, you can purchase a ticket to ride for £4 which we did just for the big wheel. Was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait to get on. Clean and family-friendly environment.

Had a lovely day out here plenty of animals to see,some were hiding in their beds as it was a bit chilly but you could peep at them there. There's walk through areas to get up close. Plenty of food and drink cafes dotted through the zoo and picnic benches too. Definitely worth a visit.

Love a zoo trip!! such an enjoyable experience. Great variety of animals to see and even though it can be very busy you still see and enjoy it all. The animals all have great spacious enclosures and plenty of items in for them to enjoy. There is plenty of things to see and to do which is great. The Gift shop at the end is brilliant as well, has a great variety of things for all ages.

What an amazing zoological zoo. It's started off as wet and windy but cleared up as there was many indoor areas to visit. The meerkats took abit of coaching to get them outside but eventually came out. Feeding the giraffes was really good and exciting for the children. Well grown ups. The staff were really helpful and knew exactly where to send you when lost for the next adventure around the park. So many animals and looked in good care. Lots of schools visiting which was good to see. Well done teams.

Had a very nice day. Very nice experience during the visit. The zoo is very easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff is very nice and helpful. You can stroll around the park in a relaxing enjoyable atmosphere. The zoo is easily accesible for wheel chair users and the benches around the park come in handy for those who have issues walking longer distances. The zoo beeing situated in a field away from towns, villages is very nice and gives you a better touch with nature. The large animal section is very nice. Also note that animals might take a nap exactly when you want to film or take a photo of them...with patience you can still catch them moving around. The restaurant offers good food and you can enjoy the food outside in nice weather. Kids playground close to the restaurant. Toilets also around the park are clean. You can get a ride on a mini train. The souvenir shop is nicely organised, affordable prices. The plush animals are very nicely made. Definitely worth a day visiting. Best to buy tickets in advance. You'll find a nice biodiversity animal range. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Better buy tickets in advance or an year pass if you plan to visit more times.

Really enjoyable day and a huge variety of animals to see. It’s really well laid out and the animals all looked happy. The Africa section was impressive. The elephants and giraffes seemed happy. Every turn you took there was something new to discover. Food options were a bit hit and miss with long waits for average not even hot food. That was the only down side but went for the animals hence the 5 star review. The green anacondas were stunning as were the chimpanzees

I had an absolutely fantastic time visiting Colchester Zoo! One of the highlights of the day was the amazing train ride that took us on a scenic journey around the park, giving us a chance to see the majority of the animals from a unique and relaxing perspective. It was such a fun and convenient way to explore the zoo. Another great feature was the variety of informative talks held at different animal enclosures throughout the day. These talks gave us the chance to learn more about the animals, their behaviors, and conservation efforts, all while getting a closer look at them. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Overall, it was a brilliant experience—perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals. Highly recommend visiting Colchester Zoo for a memorable and educational day out!

A great day out. I came with my six and ten year old and they loved the day. We didn't get to see all the animals but we did see most of them. We were there from 11.30 to 6pm l. There were plenty of places to sit and eat lunch/snacks. Lots of playgrounds, exhibits and interactive places.

This was the best time of the year to go. Weather was perfect for the climb. Okay so you don’t get the best of views compared to the others- but the experience of the climb is worth it. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming and our guide Bee was excellent

Finally did the O₂ sunset climb today and what an experience! The sunset looked gorgeous when I started, with the sky glowing softly over Greenwich. Going up was easier than I expected as the incline felt like walking up a hill, and the pace was comfortable. The guide was friendly, patient, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident. The view from the top was windy and peaceful, with the skyline lights starting to twinkle. It was not a blazing sunset by then, but a beautiful afterglow. The descent, though, was the real challenge! The 30° decline definitely tested my legs and balance, and I had to take it slow but the harness system felt secure the whole way. It takes some time to get use the harness system but once you crack it, its an absolute bliss. Overall, it’s a memorable experience, especially if you catch that golden light at the start. Perfect mix of mild adventure and city views. Would I do it again? Maybe mid next year to catch more of the sunset and avoid the wind. 🥶

I went to Up at the 02 on 29 October 2025. It was something I have wanted to do for a long time, as I had a Red Letter day voucher given as a present. When the day arrived, I felt nervous but excited to climb at Up at the 02. The two ladies staff members were so friendly when l went to the Base Camp before the climb. They showed me to a room where the Safety Briefing was and other people doing the climb came in the room. After we had watched a short video explaining the procedure, the Instructor Max introduced himself to us. He was so enthusiastic and friendly and had a great sense of humour. Even though it was raining, I felt safe with him instructing us all. He was very knowledgeable and gave interesting facts about London and the 02 during the climb and I really enjoyed the experience. After we had come back to the Base Camp, we were able to go to the Gift shop to look at the photos taken before and during the climb. I would recommend this to anyone. We had a brilliant experience doing Up at The O2. Our host Martin was fantastic — he explained all the safety information clearly, both with the video and in person, and made sure everyone understood how to use the harness and equipment without it feeling complicated. The staff were really welcoming from start to finish. They even provide coats if it’s cold or raining, which makes a big difference when the weather isn’t great. You’re able to use your phone when you reach the top, and they also take photos of you on the way up so you don’t miss capturing the moment. Even though it was raining during our climb, it was still a great day — definitely a memorable experience and one I’d recommend to anyone visiting London. I’d happily do it again!

Massively enjoyed our climb over the O2! Came for a 11am start on a Monday morning, had a lovely climbing team and the instructors were a great laugh! You enter left of the entrance and have a short introduction video, then you put your belongings in little crates (with number, words or pictures to identify after the climb) photos are taken at certain points and are extra charge and can be purchased from the gift shop after. I do sometimes suffer at a high but didn’t struggle at all with this as the floor was a good focus point and you can’t see any drops. The floor can be very bouncy and we went on a day with very minimal wind. All equipment is supplied as per of the experience, including shoes and gloves. Amazing views from the top and you get a good amount of time. I really didn’t expect music to be playing up there which made me giggle! Is pricey but worth it for a London bucket list ticket off! Found the decline more challenging than the incline! We completed our waivers on site, but can be completed beforehand.

Went there with my daughter for my birthday. If you love the london sky line you need to do this. Our guide was Arron and he knew his stuff. I'd avoid it if youve got dodgy knees or back probs as its alot steeper than you think and you still need to get down! But highly recommend this.

We decided to do the after dark tour up the O2. It was not as hard as you could think as the Incline gets easier the higher you get. Once on the top the view is great but you really only see Greenwich area as London proper is behind the downtown area. I would suggest doing the twilight tour as you would get the best of both worlds.

We came for lady gaga. The venue is wild! Its an outlet shopping center, cinema and music venue and shopping center. Went to spoons for a quick plate of food and couple of drinks then into the event. It was well organised, the staff were efficient, loads of food and drink options when we got inside. Helpful staff to send us on our way to our seat. The viewing area is huge ( we ended up with great seats) . Lady gaga was great ( not usually a fan but I was a plus 1 for my girlfriend), the sound quality was nuts... could feel the base through my chest. Fast and efficient to get us all out too

Really like the concert venue. Easy to get to the venue & back as they move the crowd quickly & jubilee line very frequent after a show. Sound is pretty great & you get a great view from 410 section, if a bit far. As people had said it was steep, I was prepared but I didn’t actually think it was that bad & felt safe. Drink options are usual concert fare & prices (£9.80 for a beer). Lots of bathrooms and food / drinks options inside.

Personally I'm not a fan of arenas for gigs, usually the sound is rubbish compared to small venues. But the o2 has always sounded decent. As always ridiculous prices for drinks, but it's the same everywhere so you just expect it. Plenty of bars and restaurants outside the arena too. All in all a great venue

This place is HUGE!! Good gosh. The place has several concerts going on in direct pockets or the humongous venue. So many different activities and a TON of shopping. I could spend a full week in there with zero compliant. There is so much to do and it truly is a good time for everyone. There's a Thai restaurant called Scarlet thats so delicious and authentic. To add, there's even more activities to do right outside including more shops, vendors, merry go rounds, viewpoints. Born away my first time going and ABSOLUTELY recommend checking this place out

Good visibility generally compared to some venues but if you are high up can be unsettling! Saw one person in the top section who wouldn't let go of a railing behind them even once sat down! Great Benson Boone concert with a surprise appearance by Brian May!

Saw Benson Boone at the O2. Parking was excellent but pre book. Shops weryreally good too as we're the restaurants but advised to go in good time before your show S it gets busy. The arena is really good and seats are fine. Toilets are also good at the venue. Note of warning if you travel by tube and you have come out late after a show the queues for the tube are incredibly long!

The O2 Outlet Shopping Centre is a brilliant place to shop with so many good brands offering excellent discounts and deals. The prices are very competitive, and you can often find items much cheaper than on the high street. The atmosphere is modern and vibrant, making it enjoyable to walk around and explore. There is a great variety of shops covering fashion, footwear, lifestyle, and more, so it really has something for everyone. The staff in the stores are always polite and helpful, and the overall shopping experience feels convenient and pleasant. I highly recommend visiting if you want quality brands at great prices.
