Nandur Madhyameshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

Bird watching area
Nature preserve
Nandur Madhyameshwar Bird Sanctuary, located in a wetland area, boasts trails and watchtowers that provide shelter for various bird species such as white storks, flamingos, and ibis. This sanctuary is highly recommended for bird watching enthusiasts, especially during the early morning hours. Visitors can marvel at a diverse range of national and international migratory birds from December to January.
Heaven for birdwatchers. You can see thousands of birds in the winter season. Count of flemingo is in doubt. Because in 2024 they visited 12-13 numbers only. The forest department managed this in a well manner. Per person 50rs ticket, 20 for parking and 50 for binoculars. They provide binoculars is the best thing. There are mainly 3 watch towers. And you can see thousands of birds from these 3 watch towers. They are in line and parallel to the backwater. Winter is the best season to visit because many migratory birds visit this place in winter. Painted stork, frey heron, and plenty of ducks are the main attraction. Must visit this place.
Kedar D — Google review
While there is some merit in this being called the "Bharatpur of Maharashtra", I sincerely feel that is more of an emotional appeal than an actual understanding of the place. The approach road is in terrible condition at patches, so factor that in while getting here for more travel time. The Birdwatching towers overlook the wetlands, but most of them have thorny shrubs growing at the entrance very densely, making it impossible to enter. The larger watchtowers can accommodate multiple Birdwatchers, but are placed a fair distance from the best areas of the wetlands. If you're coming here with anything less than a 500mm lens, you will be relying more on luck than opportunities. I still give it a 5 star rating in the hope that things get better over time, but have given an honest review that should help people coming here set expectations accordingly.

I had visited two years back enjoyed. This time on 6th nov. It was so foggy, so only enjoyed weather. Dec to Feb excellent time. Camping is there Great guys are there
Subhashini S — Google review
During migratory seasons you can spot varied species of birds. Telescopic binoculars (which are available with local guides at the entrance) are a must to see the birds as you won't be able to appreciate them with naked eye.
Mahendra M — Google review
The Nandur Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary, located in Maharashtra’s Nashik District, is often referred to as the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra.” Recognized as the state’s first Ramsar site, this wetland was formed by the construction of the Nandur Madhmeshwar Dam between 1907 and 1913. The dam, built at the confluence of the Godavari and Kadwa rivers, was designed to supply irrigation water to the districts of Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Aurangabad and underwent reconstruction in 2008. Spanning 1,765 hectares, the sanctuary is a rich haven of biodiversity, hosting 536 species of aquatic and terrestrial plants, eight mammal species, 265 species of birds, 24 species of freshwater fish, and 41 butterfly species. The landscape features 23 pristine lakes and numerous smaller ponds, forming the foundation of a thriving wetland ecosystem. Recognized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the sanctuary plays a crucial role in supporting waterfowl and various aquatic species, contributing to global biodiversity conservation. Visitors can experience the natural symphony of bird calls echoing throughout the sanctuary, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers. The sight of large gatherings of night herons is particularly striking. Though the visitor facilities are satisfactory, the sanctuary could benefit from better on-site interpretation. Local products are available at a few shops run by the Eco-Development Committee (EDC). However, the wetland faces challenges from invasive species like water hyacinth and typha weeds. Trained nature guides are available to enhance the visitor experience, and while the area can be accessed via trekking paths, patrolling is conducted through kayaking. Witnessing the sunrise amid the chirping of birds adds to the sanctuary’s allure, offering a truly enchanting experience for wildlife enthusiasts.

One of THE best, most beautiful, unforgettable bird sanctuary. We get totally carried away by materialistic life & go by what is marketed. Hence, later on, our children follow us & all get spoiled. This place is so near to Nashik & so natural you will remember it for life time. The best season is between October to March & timing is morning, 7 pm to 6 pm. You get to see "KUMBH MELA" of birds...Indian & foreign birds also. Some variety of birds come from 4000~5000 km & come in thousands. Very attractive & colorful. The cliamet is GULABI, water body & greenery take you out of the world for sure. Must visit without second thought & don't miss to take guide then only you can enjoy the surprises of birds & nature.
Sunil K — Google review
This place was amazing with rich biodiversity of birds - both migratory and indigenous, that were seen in flocks in their natural habitats. The food provided was also very nutritious and delicious, with also varieties of fresh fruits available to enjoy while there. Must visit this place when in Nashik.

It's very Nice and beautiful Bird Sanctuary surrounded with a beautiful nature in Maharashtra. I would suggest everyone should see it once or as per their convenience. You can stay here with proper booking and charges are ₹1200 including your breakfast, lunch, dinner with guide. If your thinking for one day short trip so definitely it's very good choice. Binoculars and telescopes are available with guide also. So watch it and enjoy it.

A Splashtastic Day at Wet N' Joy, Shirdi – Fun, Food, and Fantastic Service! Our visit to Wet N' Joy Water Park in Shirdi was an unforgettable experience packed with thrills, chills, and a whole lot of smiles! Right from the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm respect by the staff. What truly stood out was their professionalism and politeness—each team member was well-trained, well-mannered, and made sure everyone felt safe and valued, regardless of age or background. That level of hospitality deserves a big thumbs-up! 👍 The park itself was spotlessly clean, which is rare for such a large and busy space. Whether it was the changing rooms, washrooms, food counters, or ride areas—everything was maintained beautifully, reflecting how much the management prioritizes hygiene and customer comfort. 🎢 Now, let’s talk rides! From the Sky Fall that gives your stomach a ticklish flip, to the fun Boomerango that throws you into a splash of joy, every ride was a rollercoaster of laughter and excitement. The Lazy River offered a calm break as we floated with the gentle current, while the Wave Pool was a total blast—especially when the waves rolled in to cheers from the crowd. The family rides, kids’ play zones, and thrilling slides like the Free Fall and Tornado ensured that everyone—from toddlers to teens to adults—had something to enjoy. 🍽️ And then came the surprise—THE FOOD! The park served both Maharashtrian and Punjabi style lunches, and both were lip-smacking. The Maharashtrian  had authentic flavor, while the Punjabi Thali tasted like they were straight out of a dhaba! But the real highlight of the brunch for me was the Wadapav and their special tea. I rarely drink tea, but the aroma was so tempting, I simply couldn’t resist—and once I took a sip, I was hooked! It was rich, fragrant, and refreshing, the kind of tea that lingers in your memory. 🛟 The safety arrangements, life jackets, and security presence added to the sense of comfort, especially for families with children. Lockers and seating areas were well-arranged, and announcements kept us informed all day. 📌 Why 4 stars instead of 5? Just a small suggestion—adding a few more shaded areas and water bottle refill points would make the experience even better on a sunny day. Apart from that, everything was fantastic. 🎉 Overall, Wet N’ Joy is more than just a water park—it’s a perfectly planned celebration of joy, cleanliness, and care. Highly recommended for families, groups, and anyone looking to beat the heat in style!

That sounds like a fun day out! Wet N Joy Water Park in Shirdi is a very popular destination, especially since it's located right near the famous Sai Baba Temple, making it a great way to cool off after a spiritual visit. But entry is ok ... exit option should be changed
MBR F — Google review
If you want to go to a water park near Shirdi, then this place is for you. Recently I visited Wet'n Joy Water Park. It's a huge park with 30+ slides and many more. Firstly, you have to book your tickets, and then you can enter into the park. As it was Saturday, the prices of tickets were high. They charge more price on weekends, i.e., Saturday and Sunday. Thus, we found their offer that if we book a combined ticket for Wet'n Joy Water Park and Sai Teerth Theme Park, then we book a combined ticket for both places. I was charged approximately 1700/- per person. But the charges for dress, i.e., the custom of the waterpark, have different charges for that 200/-, and the deposit is also 100/-. They have their shop for buying costumes and other accessories. Also in the park they have a restaurant so that we can have lunch or breakfast. We are very hungry; we also paid for the meal. They charge 200/- per thali, where we have two options of thali only, i.e., Maharashtrian and Punjabi. The only difference in the thali is the sabji, where in the Maharashtrian thali, shev bhaji is included, and in the Punjabi thali, paneer sabji. Thus, after paying all the charges, firstly we move towards the restaurant to have lunch. Also, one more thing: if you have to eat lunch in the park restaurant, you book tickets from the outside counter because if we ordered in the restaurant, they took more charges for that. So take a coupon for your food from the outside counter, not from the restaurant. In the restaurant there is a self-service. The seating area is large with high chairs. We gave them our order, and within 15 minutes our meal came. Quantity is good enough for a person, but the taste of food was not as good as expected. Please, friend, if you want to eat anything, eat from an outside restaurant but not from here. I get very disappointed with this restaurant. Then we chose the waterpark costume, and it took lots of time to select a perfect costume as per your size and preference. They have many costumes, but they didn't show you the best one, so choose accordingly. Then we entered the park and enjoyed the slides one by one. There are many more slides to enjoy: wave pool, raindance, twisting slides, lazy river and whatnot. Be careful while taking rides. There are many water waterpools. I found it very disappointing, as they start the wave pool for only 30 minutes during their staff lunchtime, and after some time, it means it is continuously running; it is run sometimes and only for half an hour. After some time, there is a live dance show performed by young girls and boys. Then in the wave pool there is a photographer hired by Wet'nJoy Water Park. They took your photo, and then you can get that photo from the counter of photographs, and these photos we get are paid for; it is not for free. All the staff were helpful. I like the most lazy river. Overall, my experience was good about the park. But about the restaurant, I don't find it good.

Wet N Joy Water Park, Shirdi - A Disappointing Experienc I visited today Wet N Joy Water Park in Shirdi, and it unfortunately didn’t meet my expectations. The overall experience left me feeling like the park is not worth the amount we paid for. One of the first disappointments was the additional parking fee charged from customers. For an attraction that already has a substantial entry fee, charging extra for parking seems unnecessary. It feels like a tactic to extract more money from visitors, and I’ve seen this kind of approach in other so-called entertainment places too. The complementary food offered was far from satisfactory. Additionally, the staff seemed more interested in pushing their “combo pack” offers, which did not provide any value and felt more like a tactic to upsell. It left me feeling like the park was more focused on maximizing profit than providing a quality experience to its guests. On top of this, the rental fees for swimming attire and locker facilities were surprisingly high. These additional costs made the visit feel like a constant barrage of extra charges, which is frustrating after already paying for entry. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Wet N Joy Water Park, Shirdi. There are other places where you can find better value and a more enjoyable experience. This park did not live up to its promises and was overall not worth the money.

It features four different shows, including Teerth Yatra showcasing India's impressive temples, Dwarkamai about the mosque where Sai Baba lived, Sab Ka Malik Ek encapsulating the saint's life, and Lanka Dahan providing a 5-D experience of Hanuman's journey to Lanka.
Fantastic place to visit in Shirdi. Teerth yatra in toy train where you can get darshan of 10 pilgrim places like Siddhivinayak, Kedarnath, Meenakshi temple, jagannath Puri, Pandarpur, shirdi sai baba and many more 4. There is one theatre where a short movie is played on Shirdi Sai Baba 5. There is one Dwarka Mai show which is awesome.. robotics, lighting and sound effects make each thing lively 6. Lastly there is a mooshak show (animation with live stand-up) makes it more entertaining 7. The place is kept clean and tidy, washrooms are well maintained, eateries are clean and hygienic. It is just perfect for family & kids where we get to know of our pilgrim places. The park is maintained as well as managed well. It is cost effective, near to sai baba temple and you can get combo ticket of both wet n joy, shirdi and Sai Teerth Theme Park at discounted price. They have multiple offers like VIP ticket which includes meals along with souvenir and express entry. If you buy tickets a day prior online then you get 10% discount. For college students it is 50% off and more details can be checked on their website.

It is a beautifully done up space. Good for a day out. However I do have some pointers to share. 1. The entry fees is pretty high and yes it includes the shows. However the visitors should also have an option to choose between a few shows and not make it compulsory to go through it all. 2. The food and snacks is BAD legit BAD definitely need to work on that. 3. Area is neat and clean and well maintained but toilets could be better. Overall a good place for a one time visit :)

Visiting the Shirdi Teerth Theme Park was an unforgettable experience. The Dwarakamai Real Life Experience is incredible one of the most amazing inventions in India, making you feel like you’re truly living those divine moments. The architecture is exceptional, with every detail reflecting devotion and beauty, and the whole place feels peaceful yet grand. The staff here are some of the kindest people I’ve met Mr.Amul and Ms.Shivani, treating everyone with genuine warmth and support. A special thanks to Manager Yogesh, who personally helped me with such patience ,he’s truly an awesome person. Overall, it’s absolutely worth the money and a must-visit when in Shirdi. 🙏✨

The park beautifully combines spirituality with modern technology — the 5D shows, especially the Lanka Dahan and Teerth Yatra rides, were amazing and very well made. Everything was clean, well-organized, and the staff were helpful. It’s a great place for both kids and adults to learn and enjoy together. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shirdi!

Just wow .. it's one of it's kind... the technology has been used so beautifully. The Sai baba's stories look so real.. the Dwarkamai show was amazing. Coming to 5D shows... the Lanka dehan was super amazing... the Teerth yatra was absolutely breathtaking. Make sure you have around 4 hours free to visit Sai theme park and there shops around for quick bites and snacks so don't need to carry much stuff to eat. The ticket is around 7-800, you hotel might give you some discount coupons. It's must visit place, highly recommended

Dwarkamai Mosque in Shirdi is a humble yet revered pilgrimage site that was once the home of the esteemed religious leader Sai Baba. It is considered one of the holiest places to visit in Shirdi, as it served as Sai Baba's main residence for 60 years. The mosque features the perpetual holy fire, or dhuni, which was first lit by Sai Baba and is believed to have healing powers. Visitors can take wood ash from this fire as a sacred gift.
Dwarkamai in Shirdi is a truly peaceful and spiritual place. The serenity here fills you with calm and devotion. A must-visit for all Sai Baba devotees. Om Sai Ram!

🌸 Shirdi Sai Baba: A Divine Beacon of Peace and Spiritual Awakening 🌸 In the sacred town of Shirdi, nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, stands a holy sanctuary — the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple — a place that transcends religion, caste, and creed. It is not just a temple made of stone and mortar; it is a living realm of divinity, compassion, and universal brotherhood. People from all walks of life, regardless of their background, are drawn here in search of peace, healing, and inner transformation. Sai Baba of Shirdi, revered as a Saint, Fakir, and Satguru, is the embodiment of love without conditions and faith without fear. His presence continues to inspire millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, humility, and devotion. Baba never identified with any particular religion — he often said, "Sabka Malik Ek" — “God is One”. These simple yet profound words echo through time, reminding us that the divine resides in all beings. 🕊️ The World of Peace and Spiritual Harmony To step into the world of Sai Baba is to step into a space of deep inner stillness. His teachings were not filled with complex rituals or doctrines; rather, they focused on compassion, tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and faith. The very air of Shirdi carries a vibration of calmness and spiritual elevation, guiding the restless soul toward serenity. Baba taught us that true spirituality lies in selfless service, in helping others, in feeding the hungry, in comforting the grieving, and in uplifting the downtrodden. He saw no difference between rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, or educated and uneducated — to him, all were children of the One Supreme Power. 🌿 Life Lessons from Sai Baba: Learning to Truly Live The timeless wisdom of Sai Baba is a guide to navigating the challenges of modern life with grace and dignity. Here are some of the most cherished lessons we can draw from his life: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Baba constantly emphasized these two pillars. Have unshakeable faith in the Divine, and wait with patience; everything unfolds in its time. Love All, Serve All: He urged people to rise above ego and hatred and instead, serve humanity with love. Service to others is service to God. Forgive and Let Go: Holding on to anger or revenge only poisons the soul. Sai Baba often forgave even those who wronged him — a true lesson in humility and spiritual strength. Equality and Unity: Baba broke down all social and religious barriers. His very life was a message that we are all one, united under one Divine light. Contentment and Simplicity: He lived a humble life, teaching us to find joy not in material wealth, but in gratitude, simplicity, and inner contentment. --- 🙏 A Personal Journey with Baba For many devotees, Baba is more than a saint — he is a companion, guide, healer, and divine protector. Whether you're facing illness, emotional turmoil, or spiritual confusion, turning to Baba with a sincere heart brings light into the darkest moments. His presence is not bound by time or space. You may feel it in the stillness of a prayer, the kindness of a stranger, or the silent answers that come in meditation. Baba listens to every heart that calls him, and his grace flows silently yet powerfully. --- 🛕 In Closing: A Temple in the Heart While the Shirdi temple is a sacred pilgrimage for millions, the true temple of Baba is the human heart. When we live by his teachings — of love, service, and truth — we carry his spirit with us wherever we go. In doing so, we become channels of the very peace and light that Sai Baba offered to the world. May Sai Baba bless you and your loved ones with health, harmony, guidance, and unwavering faith. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.

May his light shine on your path and lead you to the divine peace that resides within. 🕉️ Om Sai Ram! 🕉️

Lendi Garden, also known as Lendi Baug, is a colorful and serene garden located near Shirdi-Manmade State Highway. It holds great significance for devotees of Sai Baba, who used to spend time here resting under a Neem tree and watering the plants daily. The garden features a shrine with a burning lamp placed between two trees that were lit by Baba himself.
Well Maintained by Nagarapaleke Better if they would have taken care of the water stored and mudy near Sai and kid statue during rainy days.

Lendi Baug : This Baug - meaning a garden is where Sai Baba used to come to water plants every day and rest under a neem tree. Devotees believe that Sai Baba had dug a pit of 2 feet depth and had placed an earthen lamp in the pit. Today, a marble enclosure with a lamp inside remains lit at all times, in memory of many episodes of Sai and his followers. At the entrance of this park are Samadhis of Baba’s devotees - Abdul Baba, Tatya Kote Patil, Bhau Maharaj Kumbhar and Nanavalli. On a visit here, tourists can also visit Gurusthan which is one of the many other places to visit in Shirdi and is closely located. Location: Mauli Nagar. Timings: 4 am to 11 pm.

Lendi Baug is the Garden which is located inside the main temple towards main gate and adjacent to Highway. This is the Garden which was maintained by Sai Baba during those days, hence this become highly sacred and spiritual visiting place. Baba used to come here every morning and afternoon and rest under a Neem tree. Baba used to spend a lot of his time here watering the plants daily in the morning and Evenings. Attractions inside Lendi Baug: 1. Nanda Deep: This place contains the continuous lamp lit by Baba and placed between the two trees (Neem and Bodhi trees) he planted. Baba instructed Abdul Baba later the responsibility to see that the lamp keeps on burning. Till today its burning. 2. Datta Mandir: Datta Mandir is located a few feet away from Nanda Deep which is constructed below an Audumbar tree. Statue of Datta was installed in the Mandir on 6th December, 1976. 3. The Well: The well is given a nick name "Bukhi" by Baba which is beyond Nanda Deep. This Well was dug by Baba himself with the help of some devotees and he used to drink this well water in routine.

Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi is a major Hindu pilgrimage site that manages daily activities, accommodations, and meals for pilgrims. The temple, covering 200 square meters, is a central attraction in Shirdi and draws pilgrims from around the world. It offers accommodation for visitors and is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., with special overnight openings on occasions like Guru Purnima and Rama Navami.
My trip to Shirdi was a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere around the temple was electric, buzzing with a mix of excitement and devotion. Even though there were huge crowds, the temple authorities did a great job of keeping things organized, so the long queues moved surprisingly smoothly. The moment I stepped inside the main shrine, I felt a wave of peace wash over me. It's hard to describe, but there's definitely a special energy there. The whole complex was incredibly clean, which was impressive considering the sheer number of people. Getting to Shirdi was easy enough, with plenty of transport options available. One thing I'd recommend is to be prepared for the crowds, especially if you're going during a festival. Also, remember to dress respectfully and be aware of your belongings. While there were a few vendors trying to sell things outside, most people were genuinely there for the spiritual experience. Overall, my visit to Shirdi was a powerful and moving one, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone seeking a spiritual journey.

🌸 A Soulful Pilgrimage to Shirdi – The Abode of Sai Baba 🌸 Our visit to Shirdi was a truly divine and heart-touching experience. The moment we entered the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir, we felt an overwhelming sense of peace, faith, and devotion. Shirdi is not just a place — it’s the sacred land where Shirdi Sai Baba, the revered saint known for his simplicity, kindness, and teachings of love and humanity, spent most of his life serving people selflessly. His life was devoted to spreading the message of faith (Shraddha) and patience (Saburi), embracing people from all walks of life regardless of religion or background. The Samadhi Mandir is where the mortal remains of Sai Baba rest, and the aura around it is incredibly serene and calming. The temple premises are clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained, making the entire darshan experience smooth and fulfilling. The sight of devotees praying in silence, the fragrance of flowers and incense, and the soulful aartis create an atmosphere filled with devotion and positivity. A truly special part of the visit is receiving Sai Baba’s Udi (holy ash) after darshan. Baba himself used to distribute Udi to devotees as a symbol of blessings, protection, and healing. Even today, devotees believe that Baba’s Udi brings peace, good health, and spiritual strength, making it one of the most cherished offerings from Shirdi. Walking through the temple grounds, one can also see places associated with Sai Baba’s simple lifestyle — spots that reflect his humility, compassion, and the way he lived close to nature and served humanity. Our darshan at the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir was truly special and left us with a deep sense of gratitude, peace, and renewed faith. A visit to Shirdi is not just a journey but a spiritual experience that stays in your heart forever. ✨ Review by @the_solo_wanderer_ For more soulful journeys and untold stories, search me on Instagram 🌿📸

Planning your visit will help in many ways for Sai Baba darshan. Off day one can avoid rush. You can buy online tkts for darshan and it works great. There will still be good walk inside however, better than standing in a long queue. There is seperate line for senior citizen so if you have elderly please use that. It is better to get your tkt for paid darshan printed. The entrance unlike any other temples is well maintained and not overly crowded. The parking, mobile phone and footwear is all taken care at the place. Please note mobile phones are not allowed and have to be kept in lockers or just keep in the car. The staff is helpful and guide you around. The inside of the temple is par or even better than any other place in foreign country. Museum is nice and must see. There are other temples shiva ling, Ganesha when you exit towards gate 3. The entire place is well maintained. I was thrilled to see that in India we have such place to visit specially worship place like this one for Sainath.

I am a serving person coming for Darshan all the way from punjab. Honest review is the place is sarine, however, the shop attatched in pic is a fraud or may be one of the frauds who will trick you to park vehicle in front of his shop in exchange of buying a puja thali in which only the Phool mala is allowed in and the devotee realises he gas been hoodwinked once he passes tgrough the security check in. The pile of such items at the gate assured that I am not the only one fallen for the trap. I can only suggest and request to buoycot such shops. For reference, this one is in the road just opposite to the senior citizen gate.

As you stroll through the park, you'll encounter intricately crafted statues that depict significant moments from Sai Baba's life—such as his acts of kindness towards those in need and scenes reflecting daily village activities.

This place is charging very high ticket prices from people but offers nothing in return. Their ticket charge is 150 per person which includes 50 rupees for the auto driver who drop you their. Nobody gonna tell you about that the 50 is the commission for the auto driver to get customer from shirdi or any other places...after charging 150 in the reception they will charge 100 to 200 for the rides they have inside and the food and beverages are also charged more than MRP. If you're a first time visiter to shirdi I'll not recommend this place to anymone and if you visited once you'll never gonna come to this place again...The statue of Sai baba are pretty good though but their condition is not that great...pics looks good because i have edited them otherwise their is nothing to watch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Sai Heritage Village, Shirdi is a wonderful place to visit, especially with family. It beautifully showcases cultural and spiritual heritage with life-like statues and peaceful surroundings. The place does need some maintenance to clean the vegetation, and repair the damaged statues, and the entry fee of Rs.150 per person feels a bit pricey, but overall, it’s an enjoyable experience — kids will love this place!

Nestled just 5 kilometers from the bustling town of Shirdi, the Upasni Maharaj Temple is a serene sanctuary that radiates purity and tranquility. This sacred site, dedicated to Upasani Maharaj and Godavari Mataji, is uniquely managed by a group of devoted women known as Kanya. Visitors are welcomed with warm hospitality and can enjoy delicious prasad at affordable rates while also finding comfortable accommodations.
Anushthan is the Discourse given by Shri Upasani Baba Maharaj of Sakuri, who is none other than the direct close devotee of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. Actually, Shri Upasani Baba Maharaj has not only witnessed but also experienced the miracles of Baba directly. SAI uplifted the Balakrishna Govind Upasani Sasthri spiritually and made him as 'Upasani Maharaj', who later had huge followers of his own. The name and fame of this spiritually highly elevated soul, namely Pujya Shri Upasani Maharaj has attained an exalted status later. Even, Mahatma Gandhiji himself once had darshan of this Maharaj and obtained his blessings to get independance.Om Sai Ram...

Excellent museum. Very close from Nashik. In city of Sinnar but one should definitely visit it when around this place. They have many varieties of stones collected from mostly Maharashtra, but also India and other countries. As a matter of fact, also from moon, Mars and asteroid. The guide gave good information and that told how it is maintained and how different patterns are recognized. Lots of shapes n colors and sizes for the stones. Even the idols made of these stones. This was a very good place. Even good for school picnics

A Fascinating World of Minerals and Wonders My visit to Gargoti Museum was truly an eye-opening experience! I never expected to see such an incredible collection of minerals, crystals, and gemstones all in one place. The museum showcases nature’s artistry in the most beautiful way — from sparkling geodes and colorful stones to rare mineral formations found only in India. The presentation is very well-organized, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the origins and significance of different exhibits . It’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves geology, art, or simply discovering something unique.

Ticket price is little costly as compared to Nashik place. The Gargoti Museum houses the largest & the finest collection of Indian Indian zeolite minerals and crystals in the world. It is divided into two galleries namely Deccan Plateau Gallery and Prestige Gallery. There are 2 floors in the museum and has vast collection of minerals and crystals. It is located 32 km from Nashik on Nashik-Shirdi highway in a town named Sinnar.[3] The museum's displays include:[4] Natural Crystals Zeolites, Minerals Gem Stones Precious Stones & Metals Semi-Precious Stones & Metals Fossils Statues Handicrafts Secondly avoid purchasing anything from here if you don't have subject knowledge because you might feels certain things are too much costly.

There is a Shivling inside which is quite big and beautiful, you can sit comfortably and worship there and offer water. Very peaceful place.

My recent visit to Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir in Sinnar was nothing short of a mesmerizing experience — one that I would strongly recommend to everyone, whether you are a devotee, a history enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates art and serenity. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands as a magnificent example of Hemadpanti architecture, crafted entirely from black stone without the use of any binding material. The precision and detailing in every carving left me awestruck. It’s incredible to think that such an architectural masterpiece has stood strong for nearly a thousand years, quietly narrating stories of devotion and craftsmanship through its stones. What truly makes the Gondeshwar temple special is its tranquil atmosphere. The moment you step inside, the chaos of the outside world fades away. The chants of “Om Namah Shivaya,” the cool stone under your feet, and the gentle breeze through the temple corridors create an almost meditative calm. The temple complex is clean and well-maintained, with an aura that instantly uplifts your spirit. The surroundings — lush greenery, peaceful ambiance, and the sight of the majestic Shikhara — make it a perfect place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re visiting from Nashik, Pune, or Mumbai, the drive to Sinnar is smooth and scenic, making it an ideal weekend getaway. I would wholeheartedly recommend visiting Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir at least once in your lifetime — not just as a religious stop, but as a journey into India’s glorious spiritual and architectural heritage. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Overall, Gondeshwar Temple is a hidden historical treasure that reflects India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship. A must-visit place for anyone exploring Nashik and nearby areas!

A very important temple (complex) for a history or archeology lover. Of course, also for a lover of God pr Goddess, this place is special. Governments can take care of the complex, with little more effort, don’t need to make this a tourist attraction, let this be a spiritual location.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir in Sinner, and it was truly one of the most enriching and powerful experiences. This temple is not just a place of worship but also a living testimony of India’s glorious past in terms of architecture, sculpture, and spiritual heritage. Nestled in Sinner, Nashik, the Gondeshwar temple is considered the largest and most complete example of the Hemadpanthi style of architecture, dating back to the 12th century. The moment you step inside the premises, you can instantly feel the positive and divine energy surrounding the temple. The calmness, serenity, and spiritual vibrations of the place make it stand apart. What impressed me most is how well the ancient architectural knowledge has been preserved here. Every single sculpture, pillar, and carving speaks of the artistic mastery of ancient India. The temple is built entirely out of black basalt stone without the use of mortar, which itself is a reflection of the brilliant construction techniques used nearly 900 years ago. The main shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva, with a beautifully carved Shivlinga at the sanctum, but the temple complex also houses shrines of Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Surya, making it a rare panchayatana style temple. The symmetrical layout and precise detailing are simply breathtaking. Walking around, you can see intricate sculptures depicting episodes from Hindu mythology, animals, floral patterns, and artistic motifs that show how advanced the craftsmen were during that era. Historically, it is believed that the temple was constructed during the reign of the Yadava dynasty in the 11th–12th century, under the architectural guidance of Hemadri Pandit, who introduced the Hemadpanthi style. The temple has stood the test of time and remains intact despite invasions and natural wear, which adds to its significance as a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). What I loved most was how this temple offers more than just architectural beauty. It gives you a feeling of deep connection with history and spirituality. You can feel the powerful vibes while meditating or simply sitting inside the temple courtyard. The peaceful environment around it makes it a perfect spot for those who seek tranquility and spiritual refreshment. Visiting Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir is like traveling back in time. It is a must-visit for history lovers, devotees, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to witness India’s rich cultural heritage. The temple is very well maintained, and ASI’s efforts in preserving this gem are commendable. If you are in or around Nashik, make sure to include this temple in your travel list. It is not just a place of worship but also a historical monument that represents the soul of ancient India. Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir is a place where faith, history, and art come together beautifully.

Gondeshwar Mahadev Mandir is an ancient temple located in Sinnar, near Nashik, Maharashtra. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the best-preserved examples of Hemadpanti architecture, built around the 11th–12th century during the Yadava dynasty. The temple is constructed entirely of black stone and features a panchayatan style — with the main shrine of Lord Shiva surrounded by smaller shrines dedicated to Vishnu, Ganesha, Parvati, and Surya. The intricate carvings, detailed sculptures, and symmetrical design make it a significant example of medieval Indian temple art.

Shree Shanidev Temple, Shani Shingnapur is a revered Jeet Devasthan in Ahmednagar district, known for its powerful deity Lord Shani. The temple houses a black stone believed to be the dwelling place of Lord Shani and attracts thousands of devotees annually. The village where the temple is located is unique as none of its houses have doors and locks, as it's believed that Lord Shani safeguards their possessions from theft.
✨ A truly unique and powerful spiritual experience! My visit to the Shree Shaneshwar Devasthan in Shani Shingnapur was truly memorable. The atmosphere around the open-air shrine for Lord Shani is deeply serene and humbling. It’s amazing to see the devotion of people performing rituals with full faith. Even with the crowd, the Darshan process was well-managed 🙏 🏞️ The outside views and the surrounding village are just as fascinating. 🏡 The local tradition of houses without doors 🚪 shows the deep trust the villagers have in Lord Shani’s protection. This faith gives the whole place a historic and divine feel. 🌿 Overall, it’s a peaceful, spiritual, and culturally rich place that everyone should visit at least once. Highly recommended for both devotion and culture experience. 🙌

This is a unique and spiritual place dedicated to Lord Shani. The temple is open-air, with no roof over the deity, creating a powerful spiritual atmosphere. Devotees offer oil, and the temple is well-maintained, though it can get crowded. Parking is available, and facilities like washrooms and food stalls are nearby. The temple is well-maintained, and the darshan experience was smooth. A place of faith and devotion that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

🌑 About the Temple The temple is dedicated to Lord Shani (Saturn) — the god of justice. The idol of Shani Dev is a black stone (swayambhu), about 5.5 feet tall, installed on an open platform — no roof above, symbolizing Shani Dev’s presence everywhere. The temple is open 24 hours a day, and devotees can perform abhishek and prayers anytime. No temple doors, no village locks — people believe Shani Dev protects everyone from theft or harm. --- 🕉️ Special Features Saturdays and Amavasya (new moon day) attract lakhs of devotees. Men traditionally wear a new dhoti and enter bare-bodied to perform oil abhishek. Women are allowed to offer prayers from a designated platform (rules were updated in 2016). Common offerings: Black cloth, mustard oil, sesame (til), iron items, and flowers. --- 🛣️ How to Reach ✈️ By Air: Nearest Airport – Aurangabad Airport (90 km) or Pune Airport (160 km) 🚆 By Train: Nearest Railway Station – Rahuri (32 km) or Ahmednagar (35 km) 🚗 By Road: From Shirdi – 75 km (1.5 hrs drive) From Pune – 160 km (3–4 hrs drive) From Nashik – 150 km (3 hrs drive) Regular state transport buses and taxis are available. --- 🏨 Stay Options Many Dharamshalas, lodges, and hotels are available near the temple. Budget stays and private rooms are easily found in Shani Shingnapur village and Nevasa. Many devotees also stay in Shirdi and visit Shani Shingnapur on a day trip. --- 🧭 Nearby Places to Visit 🛕 Shirdi Sai Baba Temple – 75 km 🛕 Renuka Devi Temple, Mahur 🛕 Ellora Caves & Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga (Aurangabad) – around 90 km 🌊 Nevasa River and old fort ruins

The simplicity of the Shani Shingnapur Temple is what makes it extraordinary.Unlike conventional temples adorned with ornate carvings and towering domes, this shrine consists solely of a five-and-a-half-foot black stone idol standing on a raised platform under the vast sky. Flanking the idol is a trident (Trishula), Lord Shiva’s sacred bull (Nandi) & Lord Hanuman’s figure, enhancing the spiritual aura of the site. Devotees perform rituals such as ‘Abhishekam’, where oil is poured over the idol to pacify Lord Shani’s influence. Saturdays and new moon days (Amavasya) are considered especially auspicious, drawing thousands of pilgrims eager to seek relief from Saturn’s planetary malefic effects. Some devotees even walk barefoot for miles to reach the temple, demonstrating their deep reverence.

Very powerful and only dedicated lord Saturn place There is no sanctum, it is in open place Roads taking to shani signapur from shirdi is under construction at some places,so they are terrible Lot of sugarcane farms and juice shops ,you will find in the road journey Little inside from main road, private vehicles should be preferred You need to pay 500 per person to pour oil to shani dev , else you can do it near feet some 10 ..15 foot away from main idol Shops are there selling flowers and other items outside, must check price chart having 251,300 etc..but pouring til tel has significant, which you can get inside temple as well Not much crowded ,tallkes 30..35 mins to complete pooja without being in queue

Shani Shingnapur Temple is a unique and spiritually powerful place dedicated to Lord Shani. The temple’s open-air idol and the belief that no one in the village locks their homes make it a fascinating and faith-filled experience. The atmosphere is calm and devotional, and the nearby shops and facilities are convenient for visitors. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and festival days, which affects the overall comfort. Overall, a deeply spiritual destination worth visiting.

Review: Shri Shani Shingnapur Mandir Shri Shani Shingnapur Mandir is located in a fairly remote area with limited access to affordable public transportation. Private transport options are quite costly, and the state transport services are not very reliable. It’s advisable to avoid traveling by bike or moped, as the roads leading to the temple are in poor condition and can be challenging to navigate. Important Note: If you wish to perform the oil abhishek ritual on the Shani Shila individually, a separate charge of ₹500 applies.
Sandeep A — Google review
Shree Shanidev Maharaj Temple, located in Shani Shingnapur village of Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra, is one of the most famous temples dedicated to Lord Shani, the deity representing planet Saturn. The temple is unique for its open-air shrine — there is no roof over the idol — symbolizing that Lord Shani watches everyone under the open sky. The black stone idol of Shani Dev, believed to have self-manifested (Swayambhu), was discovered centuries ago by a shepherd after it appeared from a riverbed. When the shepherd touched the stone with a stick, it started bleeding, revealing its divine power. That night, Lord Shani appeared in his dream, declaring that the stone was his idol and he should be worshipped there without any shelter. The villagers obeyed his instructions, and since then, the temple stands open to the sky. Another remarkable tradition of Shani Shingnapur is that no house in the village has doors or locks. The people have immense faith that Lord Shani protects them from theft and wrongdoing. It is believed that anyone who attempts theft or deceit in the village will face divine punishment from Shani Dev. Devotees from across India visit the temple, especially on Saturdays and Amavasya (new moon day), to seek blessings and relief from the malefic effects of Shani in their lives. Oil is offered to the deity as part of the rituals, as it is said to please Lord Shani. The temple is managed by a trust and continues to maintain its age-old customs. Shani Shingnapur stands not only as a center of devotion but also as a symbol of faith, discipline, and the moral belief that honesty and righteousness always triumph under the watchful eyes of Lord Shanidev.

On the Ahmednagar - Aurangabad National Highway, there is a hidden gem between Shirdi and Shani-Shingnapur, known as the Sonai Renuka Mata Temple. It is known for its stunning décor of designer glasses adorning its walls and pillars. Apart from its sacred significance, an interesting game captivated my curiosity. There is a playful ritual involving a pot and a handful of coins. One has to toss a coin and aim to land it in the pot below. Legend has it that if your coin finds its mark, your wishes will come true. Beyond the superstition, one couldn’t resist playing this delightful game, tossing several coins with hopeful anticipation.

Fortress
Nestled in the heart of Ahmednagar, the historic Ahmednagar Fort is a captivating destination that beckons history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This centuries-old fortress, originally built in the 16th century during the reign of the Ahmednagar Sultanate, boasts impressive architecture and a rich tapestry of stories from various rulers and dynasties. Once a prison for Indian independence leaders in the 1940s under British rule, it has witnessed countless invasions throughout its storied past.
One of the oldest forts in India. It has Nizam Shahi architecture and was the headquarters of the Ahmednagar Sultanate.
CYBER F — Google review
Only a certain portion of the fort is open to public.. army area.. parking available within the fort .. not maintained properly.. no tickets.. free entry.. 1. Foundation and Architectural Style: The fort was constructed around 1559 CE during the reign of Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah. Its architecture is a blend of medieval Indian military fortifications, with high walls, bastions, and a surrounding moat. It was designed to serve as a military stronghold and withstand sieges. The circular design with 24 bastions makes it one of the most formidable forts of its time. 2. Role in the Deccan Sultanates: Ahmednagar Fort was the seat of power for the Nizam Shahi dynasty of the Deccan region. It was central to their control over the Deccan Plateau and saw numerous battles during the wars between the Sultanates of Bijapur, Golconda, and the Mughal Empire. 3. Conflict with the Mughals: In 1600, the fort became the site of intense conflict when the Mughal Emperor Akbar laid siege to it. Chand Bibi, the queen regent of Ahmednagar, famously defended the fort against Akbar’s forces. However, the fort eventually fell to the Mughals, marking the decline of the Nizam Shahi dynasty. Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, also used Ahmednagar Fort during his campaigns to subdue the Marathas. 4. Role during British Rule: The fort gained renewed significance during the British colonial period. It was used as a prison by the British to detain several Indian freedom fighters during the independence movement. Most notably, Jawaharlal Nehru, along with other leaders of the Indian National Congress, was imprisoned in Ahmednagar Fort in 1942 during the Quit India Movement. Nehru wrote his famous book, "The Discovery of India," while incarcerated here

The Ahmednagar fort is a small fort occupied by military. Military allows visit of fort free. The structures inside fort are in dilapidated condition in absence of maintenance. The wall of fort is strong and one can walk on the wall of fort. It takes maximum one hour to complete tour of fort
Ravi S — Google review
The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence. This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)

This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.

A nice and isolated place. It is not well maintained or having proper markings for the way. Location and How to find: Just look for Brick Makers in the location given by Google, there it will be a ramshackle gate to enter. Later after entering, you have to pass through a brief Jungle area to climb the mountain where these caves are located. Once You are there: It is fairly clean and amazing place. It really amazed us on how these caves would have been made some centuries ago! It is a silent and isolated place with some random blue colour markings at some place to show the direction.

It was nice to go there..I liked to visit our ancient culture..2000 years old buddhist hinyana caves might be from satavahana period..Good condition.one chaitya there and another was half completed.. Better to go during rainy season.. Scenery was awesome.. Easy to go there ,there is a sign board just beside road in the form of two cement piller.. Note: that is another one more caves that was hijacked by local superstitious people for there imaginary mythologically god. So every true indian has their responsibility to save our ancient 2000 years old buddhist culture from vedik sanatani people..They are trying to ruin our ancient culture by replacing to their mythological god.. Already some sculpture badly ruined by haldi, kumkum, sindoor like..

Shree Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, one of the revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a must-visit destination for devotees and travelers alike. Nestled in the serene village of Ranjangaon, approximately 50 km from Pune, this ancient temple boasts a rich history linked to Lord Shiva's invocation of Ganesha before vanquishing the demon Tripurasura.
I have visited this temple twice, and both times, it was a wonderful and spiritual experience. The temple has a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees of Lord Ganesha. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple premises are well-maintained. However, one thing that I did not like was the VIP darshan system. People who pay ₹100 per person get quick access, while others have to wait in long queues for 1-2 hours, and even longer (2-3 hours) on weekends. This makes it difficult for common devotees who visit with faith and devotion. Apart from that, the overall experience was great. The temple attracts a huge crowd, which shows its significance. If you plan to visit, try going on a weekday to avoid long waiting times.

🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. Wear comfortable footwear (to be removed before entering the temple). Try the local Maharashtrian food in the nearby stalls. 🙏 A must-visit spiritual destination that combines devotion, history, and tranquility. Truly blessed to have experienced the divine presence of Mahaganapati Bappa! गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! 🙏

The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.
Vishal S — Google review
It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

Beautiful temple and garden. Easily accessible from the main highway. Sometimes it is crowded. Its one of the Ashtvinayak temple.

One of the Ashtavinayak and nearer to Pune ... takes around 1hr drive from Wagholi. Darshan takes around an hour Max but it's worth it. Good arrangement by the temple trust. Good crowd management. Security. Food options available there are kinda limited but that's okay. Ganapati Bappa Morya

I have been visiting this sacred place since decades now. The temple is also popular as "Shri.Santoshimata temple" amongst the locals. There are beautiful idols of other Gods and Goddess. The temple management provides free food and accommodation to the visitors but the rooms and dining area needs to be more clean and staff bit more courteous. Parking lot is very small. The temple management also undertakes number of social activities and donations to the mandal are given tax benefits U/S 80 G of the income tax act.

The Jalaram Mandir in Alandi Devachi is a very nice temple. It is quiet and peaceful. It has idols of Jalaram Bapa; Santoshi Mata; Ram, Sita, Lakshman; Ganeshji; Radha Krishna and Jyotirlingas. Jalaram Bapa is saint worshipped by Raghuvanshi and Lohana community and many other followers. Main temple is in Virpur, Gujarat near Rajkot. This mandir is a getaway from Pune and people from Mumbai also visit often. The trust is engaged in many charitable and welfare activities. There is dormitory to stay and dining hall. Prasad is served in the afternoon and evening. Recommended to visit for a peaceful experience. Jay Jalaram!

Amazing place , kids loved it. Owner was kind enough to give a horse ride to my 2 year old . Staff was helpful. Animals were well trained So kids could roam around and play Only thing that can be improved is the cafeteria which was very dusty but then food n cafeteria was not the main attraction

Good place for kids to interact with animals especially horses, ducks, goats rabbits and pony. However the food is not at all great and kids will surely get dissapointed with the food. If your child is cranky for food you better carry options with you. Rest of the place is not bad. The staff is good. The place is good enough to spend 2 to 3 hours. Anything more will get boring.

Best place to visit with families. Specially kids can enjoy with petting. The best thing is the hosts of this place. They are just the best. They treat you feel home. Food was good. Kids can enjoy toy train ride. Can do horse ride. Everything was good. They made our day with their lovely gesture and warm welcoming. Very very much recommended place to visit especially for kids.

So we were searching for fun place for weekend and came across Pune Equestrian. Place is near Pune airport. This place has all country side vibes 😍😍 They have multiple pets And have horse riding too. One of my favourite thing was the train ride which they offer inside the place…they’ve build their own train around the plot. Food here is delicious and has homely feel because the owner herself cooks it. This place literally stole my heart ♥️ best for one day picnic
Pratiksha B — Google review
Disappointing...and poor hospitality This is my second visit to a pet farm in Pune and for this one we paid Rs350 each for 5 adults and 2 Kids.. There is very small confined area where they have kept all the animals togather in single place. The bad stench and filthyness gives a very unpleasant experience. Kids also got scared a little bit as big goats and sheeps were roaming around freely. Although they were harmless but we came here for kids to enjoy and instead they started asking to go back home in 20min. Owner and staff also were disinterested in what visitor should do...they were more interested in arranging horse ride for Rs250 per person Only thing all kids enjoyed freely was the train ride. Overall we felt like being fooled for paying all the money in advance and only to realise later that there is not much to do here. I would recommend to spend extra and visit Japalouppe Equestrian which really has a pet farm and not just for namesake. This would have been a good experience if the cost was around Rs150 per person.

Wagheshwar Temple, located in Wagholi, is a tranquil Shivji temple made of black basalt with a vibrant gopuram tower. The temple overlooks a serene lake where visitors can enjoy boating. It features a majestic Nandi statue and is known for conducting last rites ceremonies. The peaceful surroundings offer spiritual tranquility, making it an ideal spot for devotees seeking reflection and calm. However, visitors should note the dress code that prohibits shorts.
I visited this temple at 7 AM. It is big and located next to the Ahilyanagar-Pune highway. There is a small lake inside the temple, and you can enjoy boating there. There is also a Nani-Nani Park for kids. It is a good place to visit with family at any time of the day. There is enough space for sitting and praying. I suggest coming by two-wheeler because parking can be difficult during busy hours.

It has a lake where boating facility is available. Drinking water available. Kept super clean at all times. Staff available for guidance. There's a Nana Nani park where one can sit and enjoy. Limited free street parking available. Finding a parking spot for a four wheeler can be a bit difficult.

Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple Theur

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Hindu pilgrimage & festival site dedicated to Ganesh, with shrines, a fountain & a huge orange bell.
Chintamani Temple in Theur is one of the eight famous Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It’s a peaceful and spiritual place, and since it’s very close to Pune, it’s a good starting point if you want to visit all Ashtavinayak temples. I went in the afternoon during a festival, so there was a big crowd. But the temple is built in such a way that it can handle many people at once. There’s a big board before the entrance where you can park your vehicle. I went on a bike, and parking was free—can’t say for cars though. Once you enter the gate, there’s a shoe stand on the left where you can leave your footwear. You can also wear slippers inside the temple area. Prasad and pooja items are available at stalls outside the temple. After visiting the temple, don’t forget to try the special Theur laddu from a small stall just outside the exit. It’s quite famous and tasty. But keep cash with you—they don’t accept online payments. Right next to it, there’s a food section where you can have a prasad meal for just ₹50. It includes chapati, dal, rice, a vegetable, and a sweet. Simple, clean, and very tasty. One thing to remember—there is no proper drinking water available inside, so carry your own water bottle. If you want to avoid crowds, early morning or evening is the best time to visit. Overall, it’s a beautiful temple with a calm vibe. A must-visit if you're planning a spiritual trip near Pune.

Had the blessing of visiting Shri Chintamani Vinayaka Temple at Theur ,one of the sacred Ashtavinayak temples. The moment you step inside, the chants and calmness wrap around you. The wooden sabha-mandap and historic Peshwa vibes make it feel timeless. Darshan was peaceful, and the prasad pedha was as divine as the experience itself. 🙏✨ Tips for Future Visitors Best time: Early morning (before 9 AM) on weekdays for a quieter darshan. Parking: Ample space nearby, but fills fast on weekends and festivals. Prasad: Try the pedha sold inside , fresh and worth it. Footwear: Dedicated storage near the entrance, carry a bag if you prefer keeping your own.

The temple radiates immense peace and positivity, making it a must-visit for every devotee. 🙏 The idol of Lord Ganesha (Chintamani Vinayaka) is truly divine and full of energy. The peaceful environment, soothing chants, and the temple’s historic Peshwa-era wooden architecture make it a spiritually uplifting experience. You immediately feel calm and blessed as you step inside. 🕉 Location & How to Reach: 📍 Distance from Pune City: ~25 km 🚉 Pune Railway Station: ~22 km 🚌 Nearest Bus Stop: Theur Gaon Stop (walkable distance) ✈️ Pune International Airport (Lohegaon): ~21 km away 🚗 The temple is well connected by road — you can reach by private car, cab, or two-wheeler. Regular PMPML buses also run from Pune to Theur. 🌿 About the Temple: The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, with facilities for parking, prasad, and refreshments nearby. A small bhojanalay just outside offers simple, tasty prasad meals at very reasonable prices, making it a pleasant stop for devotees. The best time to visit is early morning or during evening aarti for a more serene experience and to avoid crowds, especially during festivals. Don’t miss the famous Theur laddus sold just outside — simple, fresh, and delicious! 🚧 Note: The area immediately outside the temple has become crowded with modern construction and buildings, which block the temple’s original open view and historical charm. It would be wonderful if the surroundings could be preserved in a more traditional way to reflect its true heritage. 💫 Overall, Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple at Theur is a beautiful blend of devotion, serenity, and history. A visit here fills your heart with peace and divine blessings — truly a must-visit destination for spiritual seekers and devotees of Lord Ganesha. 🌺

We recently visited Mayureshwar Ganpati Mandir at Morgaon, and honestly, it was such a peaceful and divine experience. We reached early in the morning around 5:30 AM, so luckily there was no waiting at all - we got direct darshan without any crowd. The atmosphere at that time was so calm - the sound of bells, a gentle breeze, and that early morning silence just made everything feel so spiritual. The temple is clean and beautifully maintained, and the Ganpati idol looks truly divine. There are a few shops outside for prasad & flowers but they were closed since we reached very early in the morning ... Parking space is also available, and tea stalls were open at that time, early in the morning.... If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely suggest going early morning for a peaceful and fulfilling darshan. Truly a beautiful and soul-soothing experience! 🙏✨

One off the Ganapati temple from Shree Ashtavinayak. Its based in Morgaon, the temple has great history. Temple is built in ancient times but is still in great condition, many pilgrims visit here daily. Lot of shops nearby temple. Its well maintained.

Significance: First and most important temple in the Ashtavinayak circuit. It is believed that pilgrimage should start and end here Architecture & Ambience The temple is built in black stone with a distinctive Nagarkhana (music gallery) at the entrance. Surrounded by four gates in the shape of a peacock (hence the name Mayureshwar). The main sanctum is calm, with the idol facing north, which is rare in Ganpati temples. The idol is considered Swayambhu (self-manifested), adorned with a Nag (serpent) and a diamond in the navel. Experience Spiritual Vibe: Very serene and deeply devotional atmosphere. Crowd: Moderate on weekdays, heavy during weekends and Ganesh Chaturthi. Darshan Time: Quick on normal days (10-15 minutes), but expect queues during festivals. Cleanliness: Overall good, maintained by the trust. Facilities Parking: Available near the temple. Food: Small eateries and prasad shops nearby. Stay: Few basic lodging options around; Pune city (~65 km) has better choices. Shops: Plenty of pooja and prasad shops at the entrance. Best Time to Visit Early morning for peaceful darshan. Avoid peak festivals if you prefer less crowd.

Shri Khandoba Temple Jejuri

Walled temple with multicolored towers & 2 hilltop shrines, where devotees spread turmeric powder.
A Truly Divine Experience at Shri Khandoba Temple, Jejuri My recent visit to the Shri Khandoba Temple in Jejuri was nothing short of a divine and profoundly uplifting experience. Nestled atop a hill, this sacred abode of Lord Khandoba truly captivates the soul with its spiritual aura and vibrant atmosphere. What truly sets Jejuri apart is the incredible tradition of "Bhandara." Witnessing devotees enthusiastically shower the deity and the temple premises with copious amounts of turmeric powder creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The entire complex is bathed in a golden hue, a tangible expression of devotion that invigorates the senses and fills the air with a unique, spiritual energy. It's an unforgettable visual and sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. The temple's architecture, with its unique Hemadpanthi style blending stone and brick, is a testament to its rich history and cultural heritage. Despite the bustling crowds, especially on weekends, I found moments of profound peace within the sanctum. The friendly demeanor of the staff and volunteers further enhanced the visit, making it a welcoming place for all.

Lord shiva temple is especially famous for new weds coming here to seek a blissful life. The turmeric powder holi is a unique tradition of this temple where all devotees offer turmeric powder to lord shiva and also pour turmeric in the air. You will have to cross hundred stairs to reach to this ancient temple but it's totally worth. The energy and vibes at the top are simply amazing.

"Jejuri Khandoba Temple is truly a divine and spiritual place. Located on a hilltop, it requires climbing around 400-450 steps, but the journey itself feels very peaceful and energizing. The view from the top is beautiful, and the temple atmosphere is filled with positivity.

I recently visited Khandoba temple at Jejuri as Khandoba is out deity and we often visit this place to take blessings , this time I went with my father and we decided to take steps to climb up the fort as kid I visited but this time it was bit difficult for my father as he is 60+ now but it took us like 30 min to climb up we took breaks to have water in between but when we reached up it was all worth it despite Sunday the number of visitors were less , we got the darshan and then we proceeded back to pune , only issue is that you will find rikshaws easily , and food availability is less like less options are there .

Newly married couples 💑 come here to seek blessings from Lord Khandoba as they begin their life journey together. Traditionally, the husband carries his wife up at least the first five steps of the temple. Turmeric powder, known as bhandara, is spread all over the temple, giving it a golden look. When devotees throw turmeric into the air as an offering to the deity, it creates a truly amazing sight.🌫️ Note: 1. After darshan, when exiting from the left side, you will notice two people sitting near the exit gate inside the temple. Be cautious—they call out to you, ask your name, and request a donation in the name of God. You’ll see ₹200–₹500 notes in front of them. It’s best to avoid engaging with them. 2. It's advisable to stay away from local pandits, as some may try to extract money from you. 3. After the darshan, you can visit the place where Shahaji Raje and Shivaji Maharaj met.

The atmosphere is full of positive energy, and the view from the top is breathtaking. The steps are a bit steep but worth the climb for the darshan. Must visit for anyone seeking spiritual vibes and a glimpse of Maharashtra’s rich culture.
