We loved our visit! Such a charming and beautiful village. The soap shop is a must, as well as the church. Would definitely recommend a few hours for a visit. We did it as an excursion on a cruise and had a great time.

We visited around the middle of June and it wasn't overly busy just very active so that was good because there are a lot of tight little walkways which may get cramped in the Summer. There are many quaint little shops that you can visit and purchase stuff from, I purchased some fridge magnets and cicada merchandise which was very popular in this area. We loved our visit here and it has such a beautiful charm and the soap shop where I got my magnet from, in the middle is a must see! So interesting as well as the sardine shop at the top, we spent around 2 hours here and managed to fit everything in.

Great visit! Well worth the discounted 9€ per person tickets for visitors over 60. Amazing views over the local area and a really interesting site history. It’ll take about 1-2 hours to walk around the site (although some high bits are a bit scary and not for those scared of heights!)

This is an old medieval castle with a small town around it (like a smaller version of Carcassonne). There are tourist shops selling the typical wares and some restaurants (which we did not eat at). Parking around there in a Sunday was very difficult and it was not possible to find a handicapped space. The whole area is cobblestone, so terrible for anyone using a walker or wheelchair. There's a nice view at the top.

Quite the stunning location! Worth the detour to see the village and the castle. However be warned parking during the summer is very hard and get ready for a steep walk and many steps! During the summer can get very hot so bring water

The castle and fortress ruins at the top are a great place to survey the whole countryside. There is a video presentation within the castle that gives a comprehensive and interesting history of town — worth the admission price. Advise early arrival to ensure parking if it is the high season.

Fantastic!! Could be "dangerous" for some that want to venture to the top of the castle/fortress. WEAR GOOD SHOES (i.e tennis shoes/trainers or hiking boots! Extremely steep.and uneven surfaces. Absolutely worth the vist!!!! The views are STUNNING!!!!! Also, GO EARLY! to avoid the crowds!!

A magical immersive art experience inside a former quarry! The projections are stunning, the music perfectly matches the visuals, and the atmosphere is breathtaking. Easy parking, smooth organization, and enjoyable for all ages. Absolutely a must-visit in Provence!

We've seen the Van Gogh exhibition in St Petersburg and Klimpt in Phoenix. This exhibit outdors Klimpt by light years and is better than Van Gogh. Seating is limited but the space is gigantic in comparison. totally amazing!

One of the most unique experiences we had! Combination of space, art and technology is sublime, you can't help it but stand in awe for stories unfolded all around you. We visited Monet / Rousseau show and it was amazing 😁 Parking is a bit tricky, there are many places to park but there are also many visitors so you might lose some time finding parking spot. Also, explore area, there are amazing spots!

Amazing experience with the light display and the music. Why not 5 stars? Two reason traffic and finding a place to park is very hard. Recommend coming early or late evening. 2nd, I feel the show could have done with a bit of commentary to set the scene to help engagement for the children.

A must go to if you’re around this way, inside this quarry such an amazing feat, we had a couple of art displays from Monet and Rousseau in about an hour show, nearly as interesting as the lumieres show in Bordeaux at the submarine bunker I love the way they do this here in France the locations are fantastic

It is not as nice as people can think. But it is well executed, unique and absolutely worth a visit. Plus you are next to the "baux de Provence" so you can combine the visit. It is nice with children even of young age as they are free to move.

Absolutely amazing. The wall were alive with famous paintings that were constantly changing. With the use of visual effects and backed up by sound throughout, I was totally submerged into the whole experience.

The market is extremely large. I’d say it’s too large. Super crowded. Very hard to find parking if you don’t get there early enough. Many multiples of stalls and lots of Knick knacks. Other markets in the area are more manageable and have the same stuff. Visiting the town on a non market day lets you see the real beauty of the town. Show up early or late (after 1pm) and parking and visiting becomes more manageable.

Such a lovely town. Stayed Sept 25, picturesque with a fabulous Sunday market which is heaving! Great choice of restaurants, bars & shops to mooch about in.

Larger market winding through town and along canals. Lovely. Lots of food, cheese, bread, clothing, antiques. Town itself is very nice.

Very busy lunch time during summer time ..lots of cafes don't take card so make sure you have cash in hand. There are cafes around fountain in the middle . Waiting time is Long ,but the problem is pegion and water in the fountain stinks .Lots of shops and cafes nearby .... beautiful town with lots of tourist . Shops are way too expensive ,you go to small towns like caroentras you get the same items for the half of price . Good for a half day out .

Huge market! After scrambling to find parking (hint: get there early), didn’t know where to start. So many options and side streets. This market spreads all over the town. Have never seen anything like it.

An interesting, if slightly disappointing, point of interest. The structure is amazing. A palace and fortress, it commands your attention. However, the interior is sterile. No furniture, tapestries, or frescoes. Only a couple chambers with faded wall coloration. Without the current art exhibition it would be largely colorless. The tour is also relatively short. There must be large sections not accessible to the public. The garden is neat and well cared for, but small. With all this in mind, it is still worth visiting for its historical significance and the architecture. Note: the iPad guidance is quite good. Take time to read the information boards placed throughout the tour. Get tickets in advance online for a timed entry.

Everything is massive in this fortress and palace at the same time that was built in two stages. The Old Palace (1335–1342) built by Pope Benedict XII and the New Palace (1342–1352) Pope Clement VI, the Magnificent. It's one of the largest medieval gothic buildings in Europe. Seven successive French popes resided here between 1309 and 1377, fleeing the political turmoil and insecurity in Rome, When you enter you get a Histopad which is a handy tablet which you can use to navigate through the building. A nice feature is the historic overlay that you activate by scanning a logos in the different rooms. The overlay then shows the situation as it would be in 1352, the year of completion of the palace and the Papal Conclave and Election of Innocent VI after Pope Clement VI died. The rather dull interiors are brightend a bit by modern art. The garden is small and really not worth the extra money you hsve to pay to visit it. It took me two hours to see all the rooms and climb up to the ramparts to get a view of the surrounding area. Oh, and the taste in the 14th century is different from today. Roasted peacock anyone? And a glass of Chateau-Neuf-du-Pape ?

A disrespectful use of this unique historic monument, reduced to a playground for some contemporary artist. The two stars go for the historic significance of this monument and the indeed impressive structure. Unfortunately, it seemed to us that the team assigned with managing this monument was decided to cut any ties to what they must have considered to be embarrassing art from the era when the Palais was at its finest: they basically degraded the Palais des Papes to an exhibition center of contemporary artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. Fact is that none of the visitors went to “Palace of the Popes” to see some modern art exhibition. Instead of investing the money to maintain the rooms and gardens, they managed to destroy the experience. You can’t possibly feel the vibe of the place while constantly being distracted, intruded and violated by some pieces of art, which are basically in the wrong place. The tour is a bit chaotic but we got it sorted out by asking the helpful personnel. The tablets - initially I thought a good idea - turned out to be a semi-functioning annoyance (have to carry it around, too heavy to sit on the neck). I would rather enjoy the monument by “breathing it in”, look at it in awe, not keep scrolling on a tablet. Most signs with explanations were in French. If someone does not appreciate the Christian history, the religious art of that time or might even be embarrassed by all of those uncool people of that period, they probably shouldn’t be involved with managing this site. Let them run a modern art gallery: I would gladly visit it. But just as when I go to the MOMA I don’t expect it to be full of medieval religious art, when I go to the Palace of the Popes I probably don’t expect it to be full of modern art. This here is unworthy: Show some respect to the history and significance of this place and the people who created it. This is not just another playground. Please!

Fascinating collection of buildings in Avignon detailing the time of the 'Avignon Popes' in France. I found the Histopad guide wasn't particularly helpful, but the rest of the displays were great. Interesting artwork integrated throughout. The gardens were especially nice.

Very interesting. So much better than the crazy tourist traffic and the hundreds of tour groups you have to wade through to see the Sistine Chapel. Low fees, no lines, very little crowding, and amazing history. Definitely a not to miss site. We visited the palace, gardens and bridge.

Particularly impressive. The exhibition was interesting alongside the impressive building. You get a tablet with explanations in adapted language and there are explanations. The signage inside the buildings was a bit problematic and sometimes the tablet got stuck and didn't work well, but overall it was lovely.

Magnificent structure. Steeped in history. There is information in every room. You also get a tablet to read about whatever room your in. Would recommend everyone to visit. The garden are quite small but interesting.

To be honest I cannot say I liked it! Lots of people, they check your bags. The same way to go to the gardens but when we bought tickets no one told us the gardens are closed for 2 years already. They have toilet in the corner. Views much better from the castle. Maybe 🤔 from another side of the river view much better.

You're telling me I have to pay to walk on a bridge that doesn't even go the full way across the river it is built on? Do you know how many bridges I have crossed--for free--that DO fully cross their respective river? EVERY OTHER BRIDGE I HAVE EVER CROSSED. It does offer a nice view of the city, at least.

Definitely worth a visit! The entrance is only €5, and although the audio guide can be a bit confusing at times, the visit is still very worthwhile. The video about the reconstruction is especially interesting and clearly explained. In short: a small price for a rich and unique experience!

Currently have a cool art installation in addition to the ancient partial bridge. Watch your steps! Coming down some stairs , I landed wrong and pulled something in my hip/glute; still uncomfortable after almost a week.

The Bridge in the Nowhere — because, well, it’s not exactly taking you anywhere anymore! But that’s part of the charm of the Pont Saint-Bénézet, a historic bridge in Avignon that stands proudly as a symbol of the city, even though it no longer spans the Rhône River entirely. Fun Facts: • The bridge originally had 22 arches, but now only four remain. The missing arches were destroyed over time due to floods and natural wear. • Saint Bénézet, after whom the bridge is named, was a shepherd who, according to legend, was told by God to build the bridge. He supposedly carried a large stone across the river by himself to prove his divine mission. • The bridge is also famously featured in the popular French song “Sur le Pont d’Avignon,” which has made it internationally recognizable. This beautiful structure is a marvelous sight, offering a peaceful stroll across the remaining arches. The view of the Rhône River and the surrounding city is stunning, and the serene walk gives you a sense of stepping back in time. You can almost imagine how it must have felt centuries ago when the bridge was a vital crossing point connecting the north and south of the river. As for the history, the Pont Saint-Bénézet dates back to the 12th century and was a critical part of medieval trade routes. Over time, however, it fell victim to both natural disasters and warfare, leaving only a few of its arches still standing. Despite the passage of time, the bridge remains a powerful reminder of the city’s medieval significance and the ingenuity of its builders. Good day outing activity. One bridge and chapel in the middle with historic importance to avignion. You need to buy the ticket the price doesn't justify it . However beautiful on a sunny day out . If you have a plan to go to palace de Pope which you should do ....they will seel combo tickets where you will find tickets couple of euros cheaper . Give yourself 3 hours for descent exploration for both attractions. Do not each musesls and french fries from any of the shops nearby . It's all pre cooked and served cold . We wasted money in 2 different occasions. Do good research and enjoy lunch . Book in advance as place is very popular.

Absolutely amazing that this theatre is still standing and so well preserved through history. We loved the audio guide that we could listen to in English and learn more about the history. A must to visit if you are in the area.

Historical & Epic Roman Theater This is one of the best preserved Roman Theaters in Europe. It is 2000 years old, incredible when you see it. They actually still use it for plays, which I find amazing that this theater still serves its original purpose. Highly recommended visit.

The Théâtre antique d’Orange is one of the best-preserved Roman theatres in the world, built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the 1st century AD. Located in the town of Orange, Provence, it once seated around 9,000 spectators and served as a center of Roman cultural life. What a beautiful place to have a live concert. Also great history. Lots of children on day camp trips, but still not too long of lines. It is very hot in June, but if you tick to the caves where there are many educational exhibits, then it is bearable. I went over a decade ago, and today experience was much nicer. The VR concert experience was a hit with the family.

An excellent example of Roman Ampitheatre architecture still standing today in such excellent condition. The shear size of it is amazing.

Epic & Historical Castle This is a beautiful Medieval Castle like you can only find in France. The city looks tiny but then you realize they have this marvellous, incredible castle. The visit is highly recommended, this is a magical place. You definitely will not regret it.

A post-revolution rebuild chateau with dito Furniture and art. Nice to visit in the morning and end with a lunch downtown. Although very nice to visit, i think they should be able to expand the number of rooms and exhibition.

Absolutely wonderful worth a visit, rooms well preserved, giving a good peak of life at the chateau. Also Grignan is a beautiful village not to be missed after visiting the chateau.

Very beautiful castle with a rich history in the region. There is not much to see inside it, but the panorama with the view is absolutely magnificent. 8 EUR for an entry for an adult seems a bit pricey though for the content.

We’ve been coming to Fraspertuis for 3 years in a row now, as our village is nearby. It’s a great park for kids — fun rides, clean environment, and a nice family-friendly atmosphere. However, one thing that keeps bothering us is how calculative the park is with kids’ height. Of course, we understand safety is important, but the pricing system based strictly on height can be a bit complicated and feels unfair at times. It would be great if the park could simplify or reconsider this policy. Overall, still a lovely place for a day out with the family.

Fraispertuis City is an amazing little theme park. It’s pretty small, so you can get everything done in half a day or less, but they still have a lot of rides here, including some pretty special ones like Golden Driller, a unique drop tower with 4 different drop variants. The whole park is very clean, prices are fair, the staff is very kind, operations are quick and the atmosphere is nice. On my visit, there was a surprising amount of people in the park, but lines were still short for every ride, and I really rode a lot during my 4 hours at the park. If you’re in the area, definitely come by for a visit, it’s worth it.

It was such a pleasure to visit the park. We were lucky because it happened to be a day when there were very few visitors but it gave us a chance to really enjoy the rides. We were impressed with the variety of rides, how clean the park was and how polite and friendly the staff is. We plan to make it an annual family tradition to visit!

It's a perfect amusement place for kids. The rides are mostly directed for kids but adults can still very much enjoy them, so the parents can enjoy the rides with their kids. It's a great place for a family day out.

Small park but a lot of attractions seen the size of the park. Some cool faster attractions. Food and drinks not too expensive. We went on 15/8 and it was not crowded at all. EV charging is possible and went very well, but making a reservation upfront is necessary (paid 15 eur, without restrictions on kW charging)

Really loved it. A mix of French and Polish baroque. The place and the surrounding garden was really friendly. We saw a dancefloor in the middle of the gardens, behind a really nice cafe. All the locals young and old swinging to the music. Magical.

I visited Place Stanislas today and was completely charmed. The golden gates, elegant facades, and lively atmosphere made it feel like walking through a fairytale from the old times. It felt peaceful and inviting I took a break by the Neptune fountain, enjoying the breeze and the sound of water — such a calming moment in the middle of the city. This place isn’t just beautiful; it has soul. I’m truly grateful I got to experience it.

This is an extraordinarily magical place at night and a must-see during the day! Baroque styles Gates and decorations on the buildings make this one of my favorite spots in Nancy! Fun fact: this place, the place de la Carrière and the place d'Alliance are part of the World Heritage Site 💯

Absolutely stunning square and a true gem of Nancy. Place Stanislas is beautifully designed, with elegant 18th-century buildings and golden gates that shine in the sunlight. The atmosphere is lively during the day with cafés and people enjoying the space, and at night the light show on the buildings is magical. A perfect place to stroll, relax, or take photos. Definitely a must-see if you’re visiting Nancy

We went there for a day trip. This is one of if not the nicest animal park I have ever seen. It is spaceaus and beutiful for people and animals. The areas are very well looked after and tastefully created and decorated. Everywhere you look you see someone with true ability and style takes care of this. No kitch no nonsense- just a beatiful large park with a farm and some animals in it. Very nice playground for childre too. The only negative I can say- they need to change their catering partners or make them do better job. I am yet to see at least average level of quality from Eurest anywhere but the main restaurant food is really very low quality and very overpriced for what you get. It looks sad and unloved. It's really a big contrast between the restaurant and the rest of the park. So pack your snacks and avoid the panoramic restaurant if you go there. The soup serving place next to the playground looked a little better though. But we only had coffee and ice cream there so I don't know about the food. Nevertheless- for us it was more than 2 hour drive but it was totally worth it! Higly recommended, especially if you love animals and prefer to see them closer to their natural habitat instead of being placed into display boxes.

Amazing place, we've got the tree house, next to the wolves. Activities are super fun and engaging. Restaurants are both good. Staff is really prepared and enthusiastic.

Stayed here two nights with my son. We had lodge 14 with a view of the black bears. The park is well located and you can tell that they go out of thier way to organize activities so that everyone can enjoy thier visit. The animals are really well taken care of. I recommend the train ride as you learn a lot about the animals. We also did the soigneur du jour option biodiversité, but I don't think it was worth it for the price. However my son enjoyed it so I was happy. Breakfast and dinner is included if you are staying the night. This should probably in the future become a paid option (thus lowering the prices of the stay) because the food offered was really not that good at all and I am far from being picky food wise. We ate elsewhere the second night and breakfast we skipped all together. Otherwise, I would definitely visit and sleep there again but would love to not have to pay for food that I probably won't even like.

What a great day out. Lots of different animals, all in amazing enclosures, giving them space to roam as they might in the wild. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.

This place is amazing! We came here from Les Trois Forets for a visit and it is fantastic. Probably mt favourite zoo / animal park that I have ever visited. It is really big, so plan to spend the whole day here. The animals have such large enclosures, it's more like a nature reserve than a zoo. Absolutely brilliant day out, definitely recommend.

Wow wow wow... We know the parc and the animals ... Just a great experience every time. We slept with the Bears last time and it was great. This time, as big birthday present for my daughter we stayed in the jack London lodge and omg.. The weather was not so favourable, but who to blame.. so we went to the lodge as soon. As we could to also take advantage of the jacuzzi... The wolves did a great show in front of the window.. the lodge is just wow.. only the food could have been a bit better... Dinner that us. Breakfast was excellent Just an amazing experience... Not cheep but wow...

One of the most amazing cathedrals in France! When you stand in front of Metz Cathedral, you feel small and full of wonder. The golden stone shines in the sun, and the tall towers seem to touch the sky. Inside, the light is mystical. The stained-glass windows are not only from the Middle Ages but also modern, even by Chagall. They make the walls look alive with colors. It has the highest nave in France (41 meters), higher than Notre-Dame in Paris. It is called the “Lantern of God” because of more than 6,000 m² of stained glass.People say that at sunset, the golden stone creates an atmosphere that feels almost supernatural. This place is not just history. It is an experience. If you visit Metz, you cannot miss it.

Walking into Metz Cathedral - if you’re not exactly used to walking into thousand year old cathedrals - will leave you speechless, overwhelmed, and possibly teary eyed. It’s an astonishing edifice and on a sunny day the interior dances and glimmers with light and colour from the 1000s of panes of glass. You also have to appreciate and respect that this building is in active and daily use, so please - please - remain silent as you slowly wander the perimeter to marvel at the wonder of just how this building came to be, and the architectural miracle it is.

We visited the Metz Cathedral with a specific goal — to see the stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall, since Chagall was our compatriot, also from Belarus. The cathedral itself is magnificent, and the stained glass windows are absolutely mesmerizing. The light filtering through the colorful glass creates a magical effect — the patterns and colors evoke feelings that are simply beyond words. We couldn’t imagine anything that could make the experience even better, but while we were there, an organ concert began, and it turned the visit into something truly unforgettable. The combination of the music, the stained glass, and the atmosphere was enchanting. Since it all happened during the Christmas markets and holiday season, it became one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring experiences we’ve ever had.

Incredible cathedral in size, artistry, detail, and use of colors! Huge volume of space under immensely high ceilings and arches! Photos and video really don't do it justice.. The audio echoes and booms here. The richness of the murals, paintings, stained glass, and sculptures are mind-blowing! Definitely a must-see! No entrance fee, though parking is not free and space is limited. Public restrooms are across the street and are free, though not very clean; while there are urinals, there are no toilets, just holes in the ground.

It is very beautiful from the outside, but much more beautiful inside! This is one of the tallest, most beautiful and majestic cathedrals I have ever seen. If not the most! Its stained glass windows are simply incomparable. In such a place you feel some elusive magic, especially with the sounds of the organ.

Top 5 of stained glasses I've ever seen in 26 countries (I am french btw). Breathtaking, original with multiple styles, you definitely have to visit this cathedral in France if you love stained glasses!

The Metz Cathedral is absolutely stunning. Its Gothic architecture and level of detail make it one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Europe. Inside, the enormous stained-glass windows — some of the largest in the world — create a magical atmosphere with the natural light. Walking through feels like a journey through history, with glasswork ranging from the 13th century to modern pieces by artists like Marc Chagall. The exterior is just as impressive, with intricate sculptures and an imposing presence right in the heart of the city. Take your time to explore every detail, and if possible, join a guided tour to fully appreciate its history and symbolism. Definitely a must-see when visiting Metz.

Very nice zoo. A lot of different cats species, which i love. There are two shows, birds of prey and sea lions. Both are good, especially the birds of prey. Free parking is nice. The toilets could be better.

Super place, if weather is ok, and you have children - this is kind of place which you can spent whole day and it will not be enough! I was thinking what are the tickets for 2 days and yearly access to zoo?! And being there for 5h we saw 50% of all attractions prepared for visitors. Bad for Animals but perfect for visitors is that places for animals are not enormous- so you are able to see cats, wolfs, birds and any kind of animals. It’s a balance between safe place and attractions for visitors. HIGLY RECOMMENDED

We had a great experience visiting Zoo Amnéville! There are so many animals to see — lions, tigers, polar bears, rhinos, hippos, and many more. It was amazing to watch them all from such a close distance. This was the first time I’ve seen a lion so close, and it was truly an exciting experience for all of us. We really enjoyed our visit and appreciated how well the animals are cared for. It’s a wonderful place for families and animal lovers — highly recommended!

Amazing zoo, beautiful animals and very touchy. I was hugging a goat at one point lol. I would also touch more animals if I wasn't that scared lmao. 8/10 (wish it was less expensive, for two adults and one child we payed 100 euro, but if they need money to keep the animals healthy then I don't really mind)

The zoo was a delightful experience, offering a diverse array of animals, and our visit lasted approximately five hours. Regrettably, we were unable to observe some of the animals, as they were taking shelter. The animals appeared quite relaxed, possibly due to the warm weather. We were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the red panda. The Jurassic section proved to be particularly enjoyable for the children. While I cannot comment on the quality of the park's food, as we did not purchase any based on recommendations from friends and other reviews, it is worth noting that some areas of the park could be cleaner, and the presence of standing water in certain locations resulted in an unpleasant odor. Nevertheless, it is certainly a worthwhile destination if you happen to be in the vicinity.

I have an annual pass and it has been such fun to visit the zoo at different times of the year! It’s very kids friendly . Great place to take kids out, short walk or a full-day out. My baby likes observing all the animals. We watched polar bear Henk and Akoia fighting, a vulture trying to open our bag during his performance , kids feeding giraffes leaves, gorillas climbing up the to get bananas, penguins chasing a butterfly… many cherished moments. The staffs are always friendly. Hope there would be more different animations. Will renew the pass definitely.

Great park, a lot of animals. Make sure to take foods with you (especially if you have allergies) because food places closes at 14h. After that only icecream available. It’s better to start as early as possible, as we arrived at 12h at it was just enough time to see everything (we were 4 adults, so we were walking pretty fast everywhere). Animals look pretty looked after, in between areas there are enough benches, rubbish bins, toilets. Would come back again in future.

Heavenly! The stained glass was gorgeous! The morning sunlight filled the church with jeweled toned colors! The organ music was richer than any I had ever heard! I don't know if it was the organ or the organist or the acoustics or all three together, but the sound was divine! The priest was dressed in exquisite vestments and sang like it was a concert performance! If Jesus would have returned at the end of the service, I would not have been surprised!

I particularly enjoyed watching how the light changed as the afternoon moved on — it gave the interior a new mood every few minutes, and made my short visit feel quietly cinematic. Afterward I wandered to a nearby café and carried that sense of calm with me for the rest of the day. If you’re looking for a relaxing cultural break, whether you’re into architecture, reflective moments, or gentle music (they sometimes have short recitals that add a beautiful soundtrack to the space), Notre-Dame is a wonderful pick. Tip: go earlier in the day for the best light and a quieter vibe. Overall, this was a serene and friendly experience — the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe, and appreciate the slower moments of travel. Highly recommended.

I visited Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg on Christmas Eve, and the atmosphere was truly unforgettable. A really beautiful cathedral in the centre of Luxembourg City. The architecture is impressive from the outside with its tall towers and detailed design, and inside it feels very peaceful and spiritual. The stained glass windows are amazing, especially when the sunlight comes through them. There are also nice statues and decorations everywhere. You can feel the history of the place while walking around. It’s not very big compared to some other European cathedrals but it’s still very special and definitely worth a visit if you are in Luxembourg. The area around it is also very nice to walk and explore.

The only cathedral in Luxembourg. Built in the Gothic style, but with many Renaissance elements. It has an interesting interior, and since I'm not a fan of lavish golden walls and decorations in such buildings, you won't see much of it here either

Beautiful church and definitely worth checking out. The crypt was unfortunately closed during my visit and I am not sure what the hours are for that area, but the main part of the church is still very impressive.

It ok, quite expensive for a few casements. Most the views are either obscured or the same as the last casement, you visited. I don’t think it’s worth €10 and adult. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an impressive feat of workmanship but you don’t really need to go inside to see them. Take photos from the top and the battlements on the bridge instead.

I visited Casemates du Bock and honestly, it was an amazing experience! The underground tunnels are full of history and mystery — it feels like stepping back in time. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially overlooking Luxembourg City. The place is well maintained and easy to explore. I’d really recommend visiting in the morning when it’s less crowded. Perfect spot for history lovers and photographers. Truly one of the most unique and memorable places in Luxembourg😍😍😍

Nice caves in the cliffs -There was only 1 person in line when i got here around 5 pm. -You get a map of the cave, but its pretty simple, you walk down looking at the rooms/lookouts, there is a few cannons, a well. -On the way out you cross the gate bridge on the inside level

I went on a Sunday at 1130 with their official guided tour which was hosted in English. The tour also offers other languages but do check and reserve your spot in advance as they do not open tours every hour/every day. The guided tour gave a lot of important information about the history of the Casemates, but also the city and urban planning in general. There were hardly any text printed out for visitors to read if you enter without any audio guide/tour guide. Therefore, remember to collect an pamphlet before entering the site if you want to know more about the history of the site. If you want to have more flexibility in exploring and taking photos at the site, I would suggest to explore on your own pace instead of joining the guided tour.

Going around the Casemates was amazing. Our tour guide was absolutely outstanding. Really do recommend paying the extra €8 and getting a tour because they are full of historic information about the history of the Casemates as well as some of the history about Luxembourg itself had a fantastic time took a roundabout about an hour and 15 minutes but it’s well worth a visit!

We were able to buy tickets when we arrived, which was convenient. Students can get tickets for €8 and I was not asked to show any ID. There is very minimal signage and none of it is in English, but they provide a pamphlet in multiple languages with helpful information. The views of the city are great and you get to see everything from a completely different angle than you would from the street. I am directionally challenged and got turned around a couple of times, but it was still easy to find the way out. I am 160 cm and did not feel like the space was small, but my friend who is 170 cm had to watch her head in a few spots. If you are taller than 180 cm, some areas may feel low and not very comfortable to move through. Overall, it was worth the visit.

A Weekend Well Spent in Luxembourg! Classmates Luxembourg was an absolute delight! We were lucky with the weather, which made our visit even better. We spent hours walking around, exploring the stunning views from various angles, and truly soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. We drove there by car and had no trouble finding parking—plenty of space, no waiting, and reasonably priced. The area is well-equipped with restaurants and food stalls, perfect for grabbing a quick bite on the go. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend escape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some breathtaking scenery!

Absolutely beautiful! We parked in a structure not too far from here near city center. Look in my reviews for the location. This beautiful display of ancient architecture was very impressive. There is a great place to take a picture in front of the gate towards the main road. We just stood in awe!

It's a strange thing to find such Intact and extensive Roman ruins so far north in Europe! In many ways this building is better preserved than some of the buildings in Rome itself. Very informative interpretation, reasonably priced and presenting good views of the city!

Excellent landmark to visit in the middle of the delightful town of Trier. Museum offers a unique insight into local Roman and political history. Limited public conveniences and places to rest do reduce overall enjoyment, however there's many café options and restaurants nearby.

Stumbled across this Roman structure. Relatively quiet access, amazing looking ancient structure around a more modern area. Well preserved, access allowed into the structure.

Amazing site to see - not often you csn see Roman ruins from the 2nd century. Built from huge sandstone blocks, some weighing 6 tons - without modern machinery. The only one of the 4 original gates still standing, it was spared because it was used as a church. Massive structure in the center of town that should inspire awe. A remnant of a different age, when the Roman Empire ruled much of Europe.

I visited on a Tuesday late afternoon at around 1600. It is a very well preserved Roman building, where you could enter and walk up to the third floor of the building for a ticket of €5 (Student ticket). The explanation on the history of this building was very detailed and informative. 1 hour is well sufficient for a detailed visit for this landmark and learning its history. Overall, it is a fantastic experience to learn about the history of this area and I would definitely recommend people to visit.

The fact that this was built around 170 AD is absolutely mindblowing. I loved it! They still have some remnants of religious things in it, which was very interesting to see since it was also turned into a church at some point. Went on July 24, 2025

Excellent castle to visit, very reasonably priced including the cafe. Although there were a reasonable number of visitors following the route around the inside of the castle, the visitor centre (located through the gift shop) was empty. This contains exhibits and a film presentation of the development of the castle over it's life span. The graphics on the film presentation are excellent. If you visit the castle, please don't miss out on the visitor centre.

I visited on Monday in the morning at 1030. Overall, it provided details regarding the history of the castle, but most required you to scan a QR code to read on your phone. An audio guide was available as well for €2 if needed. The castle was well preserved and provided a nice view of Vianden. A student ticket was €7. A visit of 1 hour should be sufficient, maximum 2 hours for a more detailed exploration of the castle and its history.

Loved the visit to the castle! It's been restored from ruins, so some might argue that it's "fake". But I enjoyed the experience nonetheless. There are plenty of rooms and things to see. Also excellent views of the small town of Vianden.

What a beautiful place. This is the heart of Vianden if you are in Luxembourg like in my case, is not far and you can find free public transportation There is a fee to enter the castle, not that expensive. Beautiful town (city) you will feel the German spirit and the mix between the medieval and more. Places to eat and cozy hotels are available everywhere, I love it

€13 for adults or €7 for students. It’s a beautiful redeveloped castle. In my opinion the most picturesque in luxembourg. From the top you can overlook the quaint town and mountainous landscape, even seeing into germany. They also offer audio tours for €2 and there is a cafe where you can get sandwiches and drinks for not too badly priced. The gift shop does your classic souvenirs at about the same price as the other souvenir places. There is also a nice stamp you can use on your postcards. The castle is not too steep of a walk up to either so is accessible for all.

Good place to visit for those who love the history. Well restored castle with some entertainment. They have schedule for traditional dance, sword fighting and something else. Also they had a market with hand made staff right inside of the castle. There are some historical artefacts. Lots of stairs. However there is an elevator in the one of the towers.

It is a nice place but not maintained so well. The showers don’t work well, and the facilities are basic. The saunas are nice, but there are only two of them, one steam and one dry. The place is like a swimming pool with amazing view from the pool and the sauna. The pool is not so big, but definitely nice vibes and a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed our time there. We went by the private funicular from the hotel down the hill which was very convenient.

Had a lovely time here. Really nice naturistic area of the spa, with a sauna and hammam. There is also an area where you can enjoy the sauna with the swimsuit. The pool is quite big, and the space outside is quiet and you can enjoy the nice view. The relaxation areas are a bit small and not always quiet though. Also the areas inside the changing rooms could be a bit cleaner, and the showers don’t work super well but overall they’re okay. Didn’t have any food but it seemed a bit pricey.

The structure is quite old, a nice renovation would make it better. I had a massage and it was a very relaxing experience, but the rest was not so relaxing. The floor is dirty of water and lots of hair and it is mandatory to walk barefoot. Hygiene should be the priority in such a place. There should be more staff cleaning all the time, because walking on other people hair is disgusting. Not to mention that walking on this wet floor is very dangerous. Showers were also not new and clean. Honestly I would have expected more.

The name sounds more special than the place is. More like a public but warmer and much more quieter pool. The 'brasserie' looks good but minimal choice of meals. For the price good and large portions. Might come back, might not

It’s truly a very peaceful place, the food is incredibly delicious and tasty, the staff are excellent, but the massage is not very impressive.

This review is for the bath and sauna facilities as I didn’t have any treatments (massages etc). I was tickled by the idea of visiting the “OG” spa. The pool areas are enjoyable, with special little fountains and jets to self-massage in the water. Locker rooms are kept very clean by the attendants. The sauna area was small but adequate, I suppose; there was one sauna and one hammam and three different pools of different temperatures (this was the naturalist area, I didn’t venture into the swimwear-required area). The restaurant isn’t itself a reason to visit, but it does its duty as a place to refuel during a long day. The complex doesn’t feel “fancy”, more “clinical”, which is just something to be aware of. FYI, they rent robes at the reception area.

Very nice spa, but the ladies working in the reception are very unkind, didnt gave the full information, gave us some towels, and at the end charfe us 18 euros just to use 2 towels. Felt scam and their attitud sucks. Bitter sweet experience after a nice day in spa. People just taking advantage to make money...

Really nice stroll throughout the castle ruins. It’s not very big and took about an hour at a very leisurely pace. Nevertheless, the ruins afford some really nice views of Valkenburg and its surroundings. Dog friendly! Kiosk is a self-pay machine with an automated entry, there is no attendant. Visit costs 10.50 euros.

Valkenburg was a beautiful, and very touristy, little town and I wish we'd spent longer there but poor research on the part of our travel planner meant we couldn't! The town was so touristy that the car park was full so we had to sit and wait at the barrier until someone came out. We visited the castle which looked like it was magnificent at one time and certainly covered a large area but was slighted in the 17th century and then steadily plundered for stone by house builders in the town. Now it was a hugely popular family destination and when we visited there was some living history displays as well as archery and some games. We bought a combined ticket with the Velvet Caves.

Nicest medieval castle i’ve seen in the Netherlands. Differently from usual, it is built in stone and on top of a hill. From there you can watch a beautiful landscape on the village of Valkenburg and the sweet hills of Limburg, not typical dutch view, it resembles more germany or Luxembourg than Holland. You can get a combined ticket with the caves that is free with the Museum Kaart

Only a few kilometers from Valkenburg, and such a beautiful castle and walking area. Totally worth the excursion for a one-night romantic getaway.

Spent a very fun morning exploring here. The entire thing is self service, from buying the tickets at the automated machine to the self guided walking tour. Lots of space to spread out and explore, and various ways around. Super interesting history and we loved the "depictions" of what the castle would have looked like during its heyday. Definitely recommend. Advisory: while there was an elevator to get to the entrance level, the walking paths didn't seem very wheelchair or stroller friendly.

Absolutely the best. I got such a nice room with a great view to the station. Spacious and superclean room. Friendly and very helpful front desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Only complain I might have would be the smokers on the front entrance due to close proximity of the bus stop.

Very good hotel right opposite the Antwerp train station. I’ve given it 5* for location as I wanted to be close to the station. It is about a 15 minute walking into the ‘old town’ Rooms very comfortable and modern. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind Decent included breakfast.

Hampton by Hilton Antwerp is in a very convenient location—just steps away from Central Station. The hotel is quite good and up to standard. The in-room amenities are complete, the place is clean, and the service is great. Jesse, the front desk staff we met on the first day, was cheerful and provided us with a lot of helpful information. Breakfast was decent.

We had a fabulous stay at the Hampton Hotel Antwerp. The location is right across ghe road from the train station which makes exploration of Belgium so convenient. The staff was super friendly and attentive to all our needs. Sorry that I do not know all their names but Lesley stands out as a great example of great service and for caring about his guests. Highly recommended

Great Diamond member recognition. Nice staff, specious room and happy atmosphere. The best part of the hotel is the unbeatable location. Near to the central station, restaurants, supermarkets and zoo. Perfect for family with kids.

Not a great hotel for families. Rooms very dated. Carpets in the rooms and nasty stains all over them, feels very dirty. Bed like a block of wood and pillows with filling all knotted and bunched in places. No sound proofing at all so can hear people in the hallways, and very busy train station right outside so very loud. Parking very far, so if coming with a car avoid this hotel at all costs, if not for the reasons above anyway. Arrived at 11pm with 2 very tired children, 2 and 4 years old. No parking at all outside, risked parking in the road for a few minutes while unloading the bags. Asked wife to go and check in so I could park the car. Parking is 15/20 minutes away including walk back to hotel. Asked my wife to check in and go to the room. Her purse and phone was in the car in the hurry. When I got to the hotel they were still at reception and was told receptionist wouldn’t give the key because the tourist tax had to be paid. I asked the receptionist why couldn’t you give my wife and kids the room key as I was coming back and it’s 11pm for a 2 and 4 year old who were very restless and making it difficult for wife to look after. Fee was only €5 and all she said is I can’t give it, there’s cameras all over watching me. It’s such a stupid excuse, and doesn’t care about customers at all and their struggles. Wife was struggling for 20 minutes with 2 children who were rolling around the floor while she just watched on. They could have been in bed, and all for €5 which we were obviously going to pay anyway, along with the parking costs at the reception. Had to come back to pay that after anyway for a parking garage which was a while away. I then asked if the request we made for a cot in the room was seen and if there was a cot. She said I can see your request so there will be a cot in the room, and if there isn’t just let us know. She didn’t care at all. Surprise surprise no cot in the room, so waited another 20 minutes with the kids for the cot to be bought up. Wished we never booked this hotel, staff with no empathy or care for customers. Avoid at all costs.

I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station for six nights to participate in a technical meeting that was held nearby at A Room with a ZOO. The hotel was an excellent value, well-located, and offered traveler-friendly services. Breakfast in the morning and the house bar at night were highlights.

This place is incredible. Such beautiful ornate details and awe inspiring architecture. I am constantly fascinated by these old world buildings and love to visit them. This is one of the biggest cathedral’s I’ve seen with many spaces to worship, walk around and see beautiful art and sculptures. Highly recommended when you visit Antwerp.

4rth time in Antwerp, fourth visit in the Cathedral. Just unique! The paints of Rubens and De Vries are breathtaking! The cathedral is so impressive.

This cathedral is one of a kind, a historical icon of Antwerp’s religious heritage. A calm place to revisit the past and view it from today’s perspective. It tells a timeless story of the struggle of Virgin Mary. I recommend going and seeing what is inside, it only costs €12.

The cathedral is incredibly impressive, but the €12 entrance fee is a bit too much in my opinion. Inside are lots of beautiful stained glass windows.

A great museum in the center of Eindhoven! It's exciting to watch a 130 year technology revolution in your native language! On the other hand, the museum was smaller than I expected. I see the brilliance of historical processes in a better interactive way. But I still recommend it…

A great museum to learn about history of Philips and its connection to Eindhoven region. I liked the history of lights part. For kids there is a nice workshop upstairs Recently they also have added a section on AI and its impact on society. However, what I expected that they would have wider samples from different Radio and Television and Tape recorders etc. from thier more than half a century history, but I was bit disappointed to see only a few. Nevertheless overall definitely worth a visit.

I didn’t expect a whole deal from this but was presently surprised, I had no idea the influence of this company- some really touching features. The cinema was nice to see the influence during the war. Cafe seemed reasonably priced- sadly no GF options. Also the free audio guide was a nice feature. A lot of interactive features

The museum is definitely a great surprise! Rather than a straightforward exhibition with boring facts, the Phillips museum is like a time machine, which helps you look into the lives of the past couple of generations, how their lives got changed because of electricity and Philips, and how they also shape the future.

Kids workshop is a must do! Amazing to watch them creating objects with their own hands. And than they ad on motor and battery it so it starts to move! Kids where so focused, happy and proud at the and!

Very nice museum with interesting history of Philips company. It’s not so big and can be viewed within one or one and half an hour.

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations. There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks. It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo. In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park. I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner). Thank you Efteling!

It is ok for families with kids between 5 and 10. Probably also for people between 20 and 25 who are seeking gor a bit of adrenaline. Food prices are ok All in all, if you live at maximum 250 km is a good place to spend a nice day.

Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.

Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.

Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this! Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient. One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!

A bit crowded and long queues compared to other parks, but it is worth it. Many people prefer new rollercoasters, which are nice of course, but in my opinion joris and the draak is still one of the best: longer ride and many turns, plus the waiting line moves faster.

An incredible day out. Beautifully designed and perfect for kids We spent a full day at Efteling (10am–7:30pm) with our two young children and honestly, it was amazing. The park is huge and much bigger than Disney in terms of space, but it never felt overwhelming. There are so many rides, attractions, and beautifully landscaped areas to explore. Despite it being August and around 25°C, we barely queued the longest we waited was 30 minutes for the train (we'd just missed it), but everything else was under 10 minutes, including the pedal trains, a few dark rides, and Carnaval Festival. What really sets Efteling apart is the atmosphere: peaceful, whimsical, and full of little pockets where you can sit, eat, or just wander in the shade. It felt like a fairytale world that hadn’t been turned into a shopping centre. One big downside though – no water fountains anywhere. Coming from the UK where free tap water is a given, this was a bit of a shock. The day before in Belgium we were told off for asking to fill our bottles at a soft play, so luckily we had our Yeti flasks with us at Efteling – they just about lasted the day. Would 100% go back – totally magical and very thoughtfully put together. Oh and the pancake restaurant is so charming. And the fountain show is a brilliant way to end the day!

The hotel has a beautiful location, which is a great plus. However, the rooms were disappointing, with small and uncomfortable beds, leading to a low rating of 4/10 for the room. The reception service was decent, with a rating of 8/10. On the downside, the attitude of one of the kitchen staff members was very poor. There was a noticeable lack of respect for both guests and colleagues at the reception, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The breakfast selection was limited, but it was what I expected given the nature of the hotel. The hotel itself appears old, though it has been renovated. There is parking available for guests, which is a positive feature. I arrived late in the evening, but the reception staff, particularly the Syrian employee, were extremely welcoming and professional, making the check-in process pleasant. Conclusion: Despite the nice location and good reception staff, I do not plan to stay at this hotel again due to the uncomfortable beds and poor service from certain staff members.

Cleanliness was a major concern during my stay. Unfortunately, this was the least clean hotel I have ever experienced. There were stains on the curtains, stained fingerprints on the walls, and lip marks on the mugs and glasses. The chairs and telephone were also dusty and dirty. I ended up having to do the cleaning myself, as otherwise I would have found it very difficult to remain in the room. What made this particularly disappointing is that the marks on the walls and the stains on the mugs and glasses could have been removed with just a little care. This reflects poorly on the housekeeping standards. I did not request a room change, as I did not believe it would have made much difference. The soundproofing was also very poor — I could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, and each time a door closed in the corridor my bed actually shook. In addition, I did not find the blue lighting in the bathroom pleasant, and the shower temperature was inconsistent. Overall, I am sorry to say that this was a very disappointing stay.

This is the classic holiday inn express. Predictable as always. There are no surprises here as well and you can not go wrong with this place as a business traveller for a short stay. The checkin experience was smooth. The staff very helpful. I had the keys of my room in my hand in no time. The rooms were the same holiday inn express rooms. Minimalist! But everything works. I always miss a wardrobe, a place to keep my suitcase, a safe to keep the passport and a mini refrigerator. It would be so great if somehow the design incorporated at least a safe and a place to keep the suitcase, so that you don't live of the suitcase on the floor. The TV is the size of a small computer monitor. Most computer monitors available now are bigger than the TV here and that needs to change. The breakfast is included as a part of the package for everyone and is great. It's not an elaborate spread. It's the same menu everyday, but no real complaints here. The one challenge with this place is that there isn't a proper place to board a cab or get out of one. The only place for one to do this is in the bus lane near a bus stop and that is complex. But I guess most people will just take a train. The place is very conveniently located near the Rotterdam central station. There are a number of very good places to eat within a short walking distance. I would strongly recommend a stay here.

The room was nice and tidy, offering a decent level of comfort for a short stay. However, the bathroom showed signs of age, with noticeable mold and a strong, unpleasant smell that really affected the overall impression. The hotel itself is quite simple, suited more for short visits than longer stays. The elevator is extremely slow, which can be frustrating, especially during busy hours. Breakfast was very plain—I honestly haven’t seen such a limited offering in a long time. It could really use some improvement in both variety and quality. That said, the absolute highlight of the stay was the front desk staff. The team was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. Their service truly stood out and made the experience more positive despite the hotel’s shortcomings.

It's a relatively comfortable hotel, but with a few faults. First our room was not made up in the morning, towels not changed. We complaint to the reception unfortunately they don't have any idea about it. Secondly the room telephone doesn't have a cord so it isn't working (see my photo). Thirdly the bed was too soft sinking to the middle. Having said all these, breakfast was good, location is fantastic, it's only about 200 yards from the central station.

We chose this hotel solely for its location, but what we experienced turned our stay into a complete nightmare. After checking in at 3 PM as requested, my wife got into bed only to discover a large, dry brown stain on the sheets — unclear whether it was food, vomit, or something else entirely. Disgusted but polite, we reported the issue to reception at around 5 PM. We were reassured that the situation would be taken care of. Fast forward to 10 PM: we return to the room, only to find the exact same stained sheets — nothing had been done. We went back to reception, and the same staff member who had acknowledged the issue accompanied us back to the room… bringing clean sheets in hand and expecting us to change the bed ourselves. This level of service is beyond unacceptable. For any hotel, cleanliness and basic hospitality are non-negotiable. What happened here was not only unprofessional, but also absolutely appalling. Needless to say, we will never return — and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

While the location was right downtown and close to a tram line, I would NOT stay her again or recommend it again. Mostly for lack of cleanliness and the telephone did not work but the hotel staff neglected to notify us when we checked In. TV remote have a large amout of visible dirt. The beds were twin slightly sunken in the middle but there was a strong foul vomit odor on the bed & wall next to it.

Visited Mauritshuis, a very well-known museum located in The Hague, near the Binnenhof. The first interesting thing I learned is that Mauritshuis actually means “Maurits’ house”, which is quite fascinating! However, behind the beauty of the building, the story of how its fortune was built is not entirely pleasant. However I won’t spoil it, because you should visit and find out yourself! This museum is also home to the iconic “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Johannes Vermeer. Fun fact: we might not even be sure it’s an earring, as it doesn’t appear to be hooked! Another remarkable painting is “View of Delft”, also by Vermeer, which holds a special place in my heart since we live nearby and it carries meaningful memories. We even bought a puzzle of that painting, surprisingly affordable for something sold in such a prestigious museum! During our visit, there was also a live Q&A about painting restoration, where they were working on “The Bull” by Paulus Potter. It was fascinating to see how restoration combines art, material and chemical engineering, ethics, and history. For instance, The Bull was taken during the French occupation of the Netherlands, and at some point, a nail scratch was added to the painting. The big question is: do you fix it, restore it, or keep it as part of history? You decide! You can also download the Mauritshuis app and enjoy a free audio guide directly from your phone. I recommend bringing your own headset for the best experience. Overall, a truly great and thought-provoking experience, so I highly recommended!

A small but nice museum with a collection of beautiful paintings. I went there to see the Girl with the Pearl Earring. It was interesting to watch experts clean up one of the paintings. Staff are friendly & helpful, the museum & facilities are clean and the shop has nice souvenirs. You can buy your tickets at the reception as well as leave your coat and bags.

On a per square foot basis, this relatively small museum in the Hague might be the very best art museum in the world. The number of amazing masterpieces from the Dutch is nothing short of stunning. The ability to get close to them is even more wonderful, although people have to abuse this privilege by trying to vandalize the paintings with desserts and other terrible things. From start to finish, we were absolutely stunned by the quality and intimacy of this place. That someone who doesn’t even love art all that much, I fell in love with it.

We were iffy about going here but saw it listed as maybe the top attraction in den Haag we ponied up and I enjoyed the very impressive detail of so many paintings from around 1600s then seeing Rubens and Rembrandt I was able to see what made them different and special - luminescence and stuff so that was interesting. To save walking up the steps there is a lift but the trick is the button is on top of the post outside not on the wall so if you’re looking on the wall you’ll never find the button for the lift.

The Mauritshuis is a beautifully curated museum with an exceptional collection, including several world-famous paintings like Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. The galleries are intimate and thoughtfully arranged, which makes it easy to appreciate each masterpiece up close. However, the museum is quite small, and the ticket price feels a bit high for the amount of time you can comfortably spend inside. Even so, the quality of the artwork and the elegance of the building make it a memorable and worthwhile visit.

We spent a Saturday evening here, 2hours before closing! It was the perfect amount of time we needed for our weekend in The Hague! What a showstopper museum!! Gorgeous building, and the art is just marvellous 🤩 The girl with the pearl earring was just the icing on the cake! The display of the restoration of one of the pieces was very enjoyable! Thank you 🙏🏾 Highly recommended!

Loved this gallery in elegant former residential home. Came to The Hague to see The Goldfinch, he didn't disappoint! Also The Girl With The Pearl Earring, she was very beautiful. View of Delft was breathtaking. Obviously my phone photos do not do them justice.

I absolutely loved this place. The simulations were so amazing. I lo ed the historic stories told and the entire set up, is genius. A great place for kids but for adults alike. Its so interesting and there is so much to see, time will pass by and you would have spent almost an entire day. The best time to go is from when they open at 10.

It's a fun place to see the highly detailed miniature Dutch, Amsterdam - cityscapes, buildings, architecture, churches, airports, wind farms, wind mills, Canal systems, functional railway track and different trains running around, traffic vehicles moving on the road, ships, boats moving in the water... It was a fun time.. different big bridges recreated where it feels like a small overpass that you walk on, it's a fun get away

Whatta love place to have meal after a fantastic exploration of the Holland miniature park! I highly recommend this tourist spot in the Netherland, The gardens are beautiful well maintained and well worth it a must to see. Brilliant place I was enjoying every single moment there. Toilets are clean. Staffs are lovely and friendly.

Great experience for adults and kids. Plenty of interactive setups to keep the kids engaged and interested, while admiring the great miniature cities. There are also other experiences scattered within the park. Good - clean - interactive and engaging activities - park for kids and adults - impressive miniature landmarks - facilities (toilets, restaurants, playgrounds)

Madurodam was my favorite experience during my entire trip to the Netherlands. I loved exploring the miniature versions of Dutch cities and landmarks. It felt like traveling through the whole country in just a few hours. My favorite parts were steering the ships through the canals, controlling the helicopter, and interacting with the fun exhibits like attracting the fishes. The park is very well designed, with so many details that bring Dutch history, architecture, and culture to life. It’s both educational and entertaining, making it a great place for families, couples, or solo travelers. I would recommend it as one of the first stops for tourists visiting the Netherlands. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little pricey, but that might just be my perspective as a visitor from abroad. Overall, I would definitely like to return and see it again.

Loved it, what a wonderful piece of art, that Is amazing, every zone has its own beauty, moreover nothing is less but plane ✈️ experience inside it is out standing, a must go place to bring you child here. There is also a shall canteen to have some light snacks and a souvenir shop is also there to bring some gifts. Overall a wonderful experience, but remember you must spare enough time to go there because it needs almost half day to complete it properly if you are a detail lover.

highly recommend a visit, there are several machines you can pay to get miniatures out, we got a tulip pin bash and there is a mini mars bar factory that gives you 2 mini mars bars, they take cash and card. we would definitely visit again, came as part of a bus tour and got 1.5hrs and unfortunately wasn’t long enough to see everything in detail, would definitely visit again

It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.

Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...

Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.

This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.

Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.

This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it. You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.

Must see if you visit Utrecht, the view from the tower is absolutely gorgeous and the story behind the tower is nice to hear. You can also do some exercising while enjoying the views. 🤓 Book a ticket in advance.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you

This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day. I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place. And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them. The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own. In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

Probably the most beautiful activity you can do when visiting Utrecht. Check their opening hours before you go. They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out. We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city. We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Sadly we can't have a pedalo since we are 2 adults and three kids, despite the fact that our small one would have had more than enough space to sit in the middle....
