Recommend. We have chosen 3-hour trip including shipwreck, caves and three stops for swim (white beach, cave and Porto Steniti. The crew was friendly and helpful. Our captain took us to beautiful spots with crystal-clear water and always made sure everyone had the best opportunity to take photos.

A stunning little harbour/ beach area with a small beach leading to crystal clear water's. There is a small beach shop serving food and drink to take away and there are also toilets. It is a hidden gem.

Very good experience, nice driving, enough stops for swimming☺️ the capitan always made sure to turn the boat so we could all se the destination and take some pictures. Also they showed us jumping spot for little adrenaline high😁

Porto Vromi beach took us by surprise. It's a small beach with lounge chairs for free. There is free parking. There is a small bar with seating for drinks and hot food. The water is clear and lovely to swim and it's not too crowded. We stayed here longer as it was so relaxing and not noisy at all. There are boat rentals here and trips to near by shipwreck bay.

Captain Jannis Pirkos was amazing! He provided a smooth steady ride in choppy seas and was able to get us up close and into some of the most amazing caves along the coast! An experience well worth the cost! Amazing and beautiful!

Fantastic boat tour! Nikos and Yanni were absolute legends — not only great operators, but you could tell they were also there to have a good time, which made the whole trip feel so much more fun. Massive kudos to Nikos’ boat driving skills. He navigated in and out of caves and tight spots with ease, and even spinning the boat 360° so everyone could get the perfect view. The music on board was great too. We swam in some of the bluest waters I’ve ever seen and got to see all the Zakynthos highlights in style. Only thing to note — we drove an hour to the port one day only to find the trip cancelled due to poor conditions. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand, we apparently didn't put our WhatsApp number in the booking info. The team were super accommodating though, offering a refund or reschedule, which worked out perfectly for the following day. Highly recommend this crew if you want stunning views, great music, and a team that really knows how to make a day unforgettable!

While the water is crowded with boats there is still loads of room for swimming. Highly recommend as it was quite here when we came.

Porto Vromi Beach is a charming little cove on Zakynthos’ northwest coast, more a scenic port than a traditional beach, but absolutely worth a visit! The crystal-clear turquoise waters are perfect for snorkeling, with plenty of fish and small caves to explore along the rocky coastline. I loved the serene vibe and the stunning views of the cliffs, especially during the drive down the winding road, which offers breathtaking panoramas. The beach itself is small and pebbly, so water shoes are a must, but the water’s clarity makes up for it. It’s a great spot to rent a boat for a quick trip to Navagio Beach or the Blue Caves—only about 15-20 minutes away by boat

Beautiful and quiet. Perfect for escaping the crowds. Access by car is easy, and there are free spots for parking. The road to the beach offers stunning views from above.

I love the color of the sea. Its a very small beach, gets easily crowded. There is a kiosk for food and drinks. Some sun beds are available with extra charge. There is free parking lot.

The best boat trip in Zakynthos! I dont have word's to say The captain was amazing because it was a bit windy the day we went there but he was the best. Also the rout and the waters of Blue caves and Navagio were clear blue i haven't seen in my life better waters than this I want to go again!!

Shouldn't be marked as a beach,cause there's no space for swimming, actually. There are plenty of boats, anchored all around, it is good place to rent a boat, nothing more. The water is turquoise but you can't enjoy it.

Perfect place for renting a boat (with or without license) to visit the amazing surroundings, including Navagio, White beaches, and caves. Lots of spots for snorkeling, amazing different blue nuances of the sea. The boats rented from here are more expensive than the ones at Laganas or Keri beach, but this is the perfect starting point for reaching Navagio. 3h was enough for the ride and some snorkeling stops.

This famous cove can only be reached by boat, and you cannot go ashore because of the shipwreck remains on the beach. Still, the view of the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water is absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea right from the boat is an unforgettable experience. It is definitely a tourist hotspot and can get very crowded, as it’s one of the most iconic places in Zakynthos. Despite that, the scenery is so unique that it’s worth seeing at least once. Floating in the water with the shipwreck and cliffs in the background is something you won’t easily forget. A good tip is to visit during the week rather than weekends, as it tends to be slightly less busy. There are no facilities here, so come prepared — but that’s part of the adventure. Overall, a must-see location in Zakynthos for the incredible views and experience in the water.

You cannot miss this beach on Zakynthos. It is iconic, the shipwreck is very unusual and interesting, but the milky blue water colour and steep white cliffs are the real eyecatchers. Take an early boat to avoid crowds.

Apart from the views of the landing planes, not really impressive. It says it's a Blue Flag beach which means it has to have a toilet as well, but I failed to spot one. Overpriced - two sunbeds and umbrella 20EUR in June 2025.

Such a nice beach. Sunbeds 20 euro for 2 for the day. Does get busy but we always got a sunbed. Just a walk up the slope to Fishcat taverna to have a snack and drink. Sea really clean and warm.

Great beach, can get crowded in peak season. A good place for the waves, lifeguard on duty. A pair of sun beds and parasol, €20 a day. Pricey but worth it. If you have kids, take a pop up tent to save money. There is a toilet at the far end of the beach, a basic changing cubicle and shower as you enter to the beach. Photo from the evening, with the airport in the back background - it was an experience to have airplanes landing above your head!

20 euros for two beds and an umbrella. Absolutely ridiculous for the state of the beach and the amenities. No bar, the beds are in horrible condition and the only two toilets are in the corner of the beach, smelly and dirty.

We enjoyed very much the place, beautiful very soft sand, clear waters, waves, and on the top the plsin arriving directly against you as if it's going to land exactly upon you, as the airport is only 100 meters from there. It was great fun, though the smell after the plain was nasty.

A nice sandy beach, beds with parasols were €20 for 2. There is a changing hut and shower when you get off the beach. The nearest toilets are in a restaurant over the road. There are rocks off to the left side of the beach that are good for snorkeling.

Stunning caves - absolutely breathtaking from the colours of the water to the caves themselves! Our skipper from Ocean Private Cruises took us right in! Super place to visit!

We hired a boat and took ourselves there as we were able to be in control of where and when we stopped. Boat cost €90 for 2 hours from the local guy at the waters edge.

I loved this apiary! The owners/ bee keepers are so lovely and knowledgeable, you can see they really care and are passionate about what they do and about caring for the bees as well as the products they make. Its in a beautiful setting and the tour includes a visit to the hives and a look and taste of all the products they make! All organic too!

Absolutely amazing!! Such a fantastic, interesting and enjoyable tour. The care and attention taken. So welcoming and friendly. The honey is incredible and you even get to make your own Bees wax candle, with a glass of wine or homemade lemonade!!

My daughter booked this as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. It was one of the best birthday gifts I have ever had! The whole experience was wonderful. Started with freshly made lemonade - then our group of ten were kitted out with bee keeping attire! Even that bit was so much fun. Then we were led to the hives- met the bees - were shown how to harvest the honey. Given a tour of the honey to the jar process. Then led back up to their beautiful verandah where we were given amazing tasters using honey. Eliza and Thanissis were so warm and welcoming. We learnt such a lot and loved every minute of it. Thank you both!! Highly highly recommend!!!

We had an amazing day here! The three hours flew by; we learned loads about the bees and had a lot of fun.Thanassis and Eleni were very informative and really lovely. We went with teenage kids but little kids would love this. After donning the suits and touring the hives we got to visit the honey-making laboratory and sample the products, even some royal jelly! Then candle making and afternoon tea to finish. It was a really magical day and an absolute bargain for 3 hours. Don't follow Google maps though, it gets you lost! It would be best to get directions when booking.

Such a lovely and interesting experience! We all loved learning about the life cycle of bees and how honey is made - so interesting! Thanassis and Ellen were amazing hosts & their passion for bees is evident! After eating lots of honey we were buzzing!! 🐝🐝

We had a wonderful visit to Dias Beekeeping last week. Eleni and Thanassis are really wonderful people, so kind, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. What they don't know about bees and their really important place in our eco system isn't worth knowing and their love of their bees shone through. You'll learn so much on your visit and I challenge you not to come away loving and appreciating bees that little bit more. On top of that you get to taste and experience all the products of the bees and, if you want, buy some of their delicious produce to take away with you. This really is a very special corner of a beautiful island and you will come away a better person for having visited. I promise! Thank you Eleni and Thanassis and keep up the important (and delicious) work!

A fantastic way to to spend a few hours. What a warm welcome with refreshing homemade lemonade on arrival and a great and knowledgeable tour and talk about bee life and all 6 things that the bees give us whilst taking nothing! Fun candle making (hubbies looked like dynamite apparently 🤣) lovely cake and wine after with honey tasting, and the difference in flavour is amazing. More than worth a visit.

Nice beach with clear, shallow water. The seabed has both sand and some rocks. Facilities include showers and a toilet. The cost is €15 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. However, the sunbeds are placed quite close together. Not ideal for snorkeling.

Avithos Beach in Kefalonia is, without a doubt, a five-star slice of paradise! From the moment you step onto its golden, soft sand, you'll be captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquillity. The crystal-clear, turquoise waters are simply inviting, perfect for a refreshing swim. What truly sets Avithos apart is its gentle, shallow slope, making it ideal for families with children to splash and play safely. Even if you're not travelling with little ones, the calm waters are incredibly relaxing. The beach itself is wonderfully organized, yet manages to retain a natural, unspoiled charm. You'll find plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for ultimate comfort, along with convenient showers. There are also two fantastic tavernas right on the beach, serving up delicious fresh seafood and traditional Greek dishes, perfect for a leisurely lunch with a breathtaking sea view. One of the most enchanting aspects of Avithos is the stunning natural backdrop of lush green hills and the mesmerizing view of the islet of Dias with its charming church. Keep an eye out for the protected turtle nests on the quieter eastern side – a truly special experience if you're lucky enough to witness the hatchlings!

I can't say I'm impressed. To get there you travel via a gravel road which is quite bad and when we reach to the destination we only saw huge rocks and the whole beach had a 35+ degree decline to the sea, it was rocky all over the place. It's nice to watch but swim and enjoy the sea? Well not so much. Seeing reviews from other people like a month ago and it seems like a different beach but mountains, trees and all are the same. The only good thing as I said was the scenery and that's about it. Edit: I ask a local friend and told me during September having big rocks is kind of normal, still even without rocks for swimming there are far better choices that the island has to offer.

The beach is beautiful, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Be sure to bring water shoes. The beach is sandy, but the sea is pebbly. It's safe for young children; even if they venture out a bit, the water will still be shallow. The water is murky (110-120 cm), so you don't need a snorkel. I recommend not wearing jewelry because of the murky water. The front row of sunbeds costs 35 euros, and the back row costs 20 euros. There's a space to protect the loggerhead sea turtle eggs.

Visited mid August in the afternoon. Very crowded parking on the road and pretty full parking of the 2 tavern there. Beach was nice, but not sure if indeed worth as blue flag. Anyway, we like more secluded beaches, so we went farther than the umbrellas and chairs and founded a nice place to stay on the sand. Nice sand, sand in the water, nice, clear waters. Nice view to the little islet of Zeus. It happened for us to get there on a windy day and was almost impossible to relax, we had to chase our things on the beach :). Also very hard to turn the car on the road while leaving.

We visited on Sunday 18th June and sat on the main beach which was fairly crowded but we managed to find a quiet section on the main beach to the left as you face the sea. It’s lovely here with shallow and warm water. There’s also a life guard on duty on the main beach and refreshments if you need it. Video is of the main beach. On both the far left of the beach and on the far right behind 2 equally huge rocks are a section for naturists. On the left you have to walk into the sea but only to knee height to access the beach however this makes it very private and I only saw one naturist couple on this beach. On the right you have to walk across some low rocks onto a second lovely sandy beach to go past the very large rock to the naturist area and because you don’t need to get your feet wet to access this beach I saw quite a few naturist couples on this beach. Towards the end of the day naturists were using both middle and far right beach. Still photos are of the naturist area to the left of the beach. The sea is lovely turquoise colour. Lovely looking taverna just set back from the beach. I would definitely go back to this beach but I would use the beach to the right as you face the sea because it was more accessible and flatter.

My favorite place to have everything at fingertips, clean beach, nice water, not crowded, you have a small bar that opens around 09:30/ 10:00 for coffee, refreshments etc, restaurant amazing place to eat, not expensive, but everything is very affordable and tasty 😋. About the restaurant you’ll find my comment there 😎 Have fun 🤩!

There is a parking lot above the beach. It costs €5 for two hours and €7 for a full day. The beach itself is very small, with some pebbles mixed in the sand, so water shoes are recommended. The water starts getting deeper about 3 meters from the shore, but it doesn’t get too deep, making it great for swimming. I visited this place twice because I enjoyed it so much. On the left side of the beach, there is a small cave and some rocks, which make a great photo spot. There is a slight sulfur smell in the water, similar to the scent of eggs, but it wasn’t bothersome.

Do not recommend. You have to spend 5€ for parking which is quite weird since other places on the island are free. The beach is very small and full of people. We're here in October and it's impossible to get in and find a place so image the high season... There are lots of beautiful beaches so it doesn't worth it to spend money for this.

Let's talk about this beach, unique in the island, like any other beach, but the leitmotive of this one is the presence of sulphur... You can smell it you can taste it. The main problems are the little space available and the rudeness if some people who come there. It's difficult to lay on your towel cause you have just 20 metres and something more in lenght but just 5 metres deep from the wall of stone to the sea, moreover you find ten sunbeds, owned by the local bar that occupy big part of the beach(I will not talk about the bar here cause I don't want to miss the point). Last but not least you have to be careful about the garbage unpolite people leave on the shore. Unfortunately the minimum size and the massive presence of people bring to a crowdy and dirty beach. That's a pity for a so unique wonderful landscape. There is a small park above the beach, you pay 7 euro for the entire day or 5 euro for two hours. Consider it like a tip.

There’s some limited street parking, as well as a car park available at €5 for 2 hours or €7 for the day. The beach itself is quite small, with lots of rocks and pebbles, more suited for a quick swim than a full day of lounging. It can get overcrowded, with little to no space to lie down and relax. There’s a slight sulphur smell in the water, similar to rotten eggs, but it’s not too strong. Despite that, we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend stopping by.

4 stars – turquoise wellness with a whiff of sulfur This place looks like a postcard come to life: turquoise-blue water, dramatic cliffside views, and the feeling of bathing in nature’s own spa. Yes, there’s a distinct smell of sulfur – like boiled eggs left out too long – but that’s part of the charm. Your skin will thank you afterwards. The beach is quite small and can get crowded quickly, so come early in the morning or later in the evening. Avoid weekends if you’re after some peace and quiet. The parking up top is well-organized, and the staff were surprisingly friendly and helpful. Just a heads-up: there’s little to no shade and no real spots to stash your things. Bring water, sun protection, and maybe a towel or mat to sit on. All in all, a unique swim spot that’s perfect for both relaxation and great vacation photos.

One star just because the peculiar experience gave me a big laugh ! Desperate attempt to hype up a tiny shady little corner of sand and make a fortune from parking fees.. The Car Park is bigger than the beach ! Apparently it is a Spa with Sulfur and COLLAGEN ! (see my photo of the entrance) Previously I have only come across collagen as an Animal product made from processing animal carcasses after the meat is used. Here it runs from the cliff this must truly be a miracle. ( It looks like a kind of ochre clay shown in my other picture) Go to a nice beach instead there are plenty of them and with nice perfect clear water not full of suspended particles like here.

This beach is really amazing! Even though the smell is a little bit unpleasant, the views are incredible. You cand explore even the surroundings by swimming or with the SUP because there are nice big caves!

Stunning views all around from the top. Take care as some of the stones on the paths are slippery. Very little shady spots but the few we found were most welcome as it was scorching hot! Make sure you try Lily's which is attached to the ticket office - fabulous homemade fresh fruit smoothies!

Great views but not well managed with a stong lack of interpretation. Site was closing early due to heat but still took our money all the same. Views out from the site were fantastic, Access is steep, and uneven not for people with limited mobility. €5 for a good view ? Maybe but wouldn't recommend going if you want to see a well set out castle ruin with lots of historical info as it wasn't there.

This robust fortification is a Venetian overstructure that has encased all previous stages of evolution within the site. Though it is highly possible that the initial phases of this site could be reaching as far back as 4 millenia into the past, even Byzantine sections of just a thousand years ago can hardly be identified. The past has been fully entrapped within the thick walls of the gunpowder age. So what you see is the renovated version built by the Venetians between 1500-1545. The view is magnificent, and the site is impressive, especially around the entrance and the three succesive gates protected by the massive bastion above and beside them.

Beautiful castle, and with the ticket you get o flier with the castle's history (though, I'm not sure if they have it in English😅). The ticket is just 5€, totally worth it.

Nice little hike, but the heat of the day can be extremely soul sucking! It's a nice bit of local history to learn about from the era of when the Venetians laid siege to Kefalonia. Tickets are very reasonable in price.

Wasn't fully open when we arrived. Think the lady who looks after tickets and gates was running late. Once we were in there are very little signs to help guide you. We took our 2 year old so some arrows so a more accessible route to the top would have been beneficial. The view is good though, but we would recommend it in the height of summer. Even at 9am in the morning, in August is was hard going in the heat for the steep rocky slopes.

We got dropped off there by one of the tour boats and it immediately felt very bad. This is the beach the turtles go to to lay their eggs. The island was overcrowded, no place to explore or lay your towel. They should completely close it off to people so that the turtles have one place they can go in peace without massive amounts of people chasing them.

Get a boat taxi from Agios Sostis port and you ll have a short trip to Caves and Marathonisi beach. No beach umbrellas allowed. There are also small cantinas with sandwiches and drinks on the island. No reservation is needed.

You can buy a taxi boat for +€10pp they will drop you on the island and pick you up whenever you want to go back. I've seen some turtles in the water, and didn't visit the actual island as it wasn't part of our trip.

It’s a nice place, beautiful blue and clear water, recommended to visit. Lots of fish but no turtle. The beach isn’t big and usually lots of people. No toilet option just let you know. Usually 2-3 boats converted to shop and you can buy drink ,burgers , ice creams ect basic but useful, also the boats is the only option to put your bin out. If you go to Zakinthos you should visit the island

They call it Turtle island bc there are no constructions by humen(luckily!) No light, No Noise, No human pollution & No enemy, so the best place for turtles to lay eggs. Nice beach but not something special! If you’re lucky you can spot some turtles. But we saw them at the laganas beach! So no need to disturb the nature for tanning on a beach. You could tan in every other beach. Also because tourists don’t pay attention and throw plastic and rubbish on the bech and in the sea! 😤😣🤦🏻‍♀️

Totally forgive you for Wednesday. Awesome day with Renata boats. Just five people on board, taken to the best uncrowded places, some fishing along the way and an hour stop for lunch at paradise pool. Again thank you, your really made our day. Back for another trip to the south. Another awesome day thanks to Balas. These two trips were the highlights of our Zakinthos holiday.

I still think about this boat trip from years ago. What an amazing experience and incredible memories, definitely the highlight of our trip in Zakynthos. Amazing people Renata and husband ♥️

We saw Renata boats tours on Google Maps and read all the comments here, so we decided to book a boat trip. I can recommend Renata boats to everyone who stays on zakynthos!! Renata and her husband are so friendly, she brought us fresh fig fruits from her brother (so delicious) and water and lemonades are free during the trip. We also saw beautiful places where we were able to swim and snorkel. If you come to zakynthos island you have to take the boat trip with renata, you will not regret it!

We had a great experience with the Team of Renata aboard her small boat around the Zakyntos Island. The Team was great, many thanks to "Kosta" who provided outstanding explanation, showed the best places around the island, dive with us in a cave, and provided very good comments to all the locations we visited. However, I cannot give 5 stars due to the organization of the trip, which was not in the hand of the Team, but arranged by the Renata's partner. When I booked the trip, the manager arranged and promised for a 5 hours trip, with a fixed amount each (we are family of 5, 2 adults and three kids) for 65,00 euro for adults and kids at the age of 8 or older. I paid what was agreed by phone, but the trip took one hour less. When I asked for reimbursement, the manager replied that due to the closure of the shipwreck beach, the trip took one hour less. The closure of the beach happened two months before our trip, and he did not mention this, and he did not arranged something else before we started. One more, the payment was due by cash and not receipt was provided us. I raise my complain, because the got payment in black. I advice to clarify everything before you go, or perhaps choose another team. There are plenty and Renata's organization is not anymore what was at the beginning, they are common trip boat like others on the island. I am afraid for the Captain who was great, but the organizer are very bad!!!!!

Amazing people to deal with - they treated us like family. The boat tour to the Ship Wreck beach and blue caves was amazing. Renata was on board with us - She was wonderful and offered to click our pictures at every opportunity (some of the pics she clicked were fabulous). During the trip they shared fun facts about the place. We had to go their place first, park our car and then go down to the boarding point in their car. After the trip, they brought us back to their place, and showed us around their farms and vineyards - it was beautiful, later they even offered to us some of their personally made wines. As a parting gift, Renata gave us some home-grown gifts - a bottle of olive oil, a jar of salt and another jar of sweet made from one of the local fruit. We will always cherish this experience for the rest of our lives - it was unforgettable !!

These guys are amazing! The will make sure you will see everything and that you will have an amazing time! Don't go to the other boat tour people in that port they are very rude and boring. Renata made us feel like friends and we had an unforgettable experience with her and her husband. You will not regret choosing them.

The island can be reached via a charming wooden pier, and the water is crystal clear. It’s very beautiful to admire the island from the pier. To access the beach, there’s a 5-euro fee (I didn’t pay it).

Cameo Island is well worth a visit. There is a 5 euro per person fee that includes a photo keyring momento. You access the Island via a wooden bridge. There is a cafe selling drinks with slight inflated prices. There us a stunning swimming spot, with crystal clear water, beach shoes are ideal as it's rocky under foot.

The island is lovely but there are so many more beautiful locations on the island - it would have been so much better if it wasn't crammed with people, there is no space to sit/lay down. You have to pay €5 to get in but then they don't seem to limit people so you can't actually enjoy the beach.

Be there early, €5 PP entry fee but you get 2x keychain with the photo they take there. Place to lay down is limited, there are chairs in the shade but first come first serve (the free). A lot of boats stop by but still nice views, warm water but rocky

Cameo Island is a place that is difficult to compare to any other. This small, rocky island connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge makes an incredible impression from the moment you set foot on it. During the day, Cameo invites you to relax in a cozy café with a breathtaking view of the Ionian Sea. If you're lucky, you might encounter Caretta Caretta turtles swimming around the island, which have taken a liking to this place. But the real magic begins when Cameo becomes a wedding venue. Weekends here often belong to young couples from all over the world. The island can be rented exclusively - the ceremony takes place by the bay, surrounded by white decorations floating in the wind, with a view of the sea and the setting sun. It is not without reason that it is said to be the most beautiful wedding venue in all of Greece.

We had a lovely day here! Walk along the rope bridge and it’s €5 per person in. This also includes a key chain with a photo. Stunning views and a great place for pictures.

Well worth the visit, although not very well signposted if on scooter/car. Great situation and scenery on a sunny day. Wooden footbridge over to Cameo Island, difficult passing oncoming people when busy, especially with prams,children or disabled. When you get to the island step off bridge onto rough ground then have to climb two sets of steep steps and then pay a charge of 5€ per person to go onto viewing point and small restaurant, this isn't advertised before you get on the footbridge! Definitely not recommended for young children, elderly or disabled. When you arrive in the bay there are countless ticket touts offering boat trips, which can be annoying.

It would be nice place with easy access to the water but it’s full of drunk young polish and brits. There is tons of glass and trash that is not being cleaned. I would rather go to kalamaki

A lovely, long sandy beach lined with plenty of bars and restaurants along the way,perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. The water was shallow, clear, and great for swimming or just cooling off. We really enjoyed our trip here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot with good amenities nearby.

Busy yet lovely sandy beach. The sea is a few meters from your sunbed (should you wish to rent one... 10 for 2 and umbrella) and as smooth as a pond. The beach bars are reasonably priced for a snack. A view to enjoy and if you like planes, a good spot yo see them come in to land!!

Beautiful long sandy beach, ideal for kids or non swimmers as it stays shallow until far out. Plenty if bars and restaurants along the beach front

We really enjoyed this beach overall. Water was clean and very shallow for kids to play. Beach was fairly clean from what we saw with many Restaurants and Beach Bars near by as well as some water activities for rent as well. We’d definitely return here again some day.

Laganas Beach is a wide sandy beach with shallow and clear waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The area is lively, with many bars, restaurants, and water sports options, so there is always something to do. It can get crowded, especially during peak season, but the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. A great spot if you enjoy long walks by the sea, good food nearby, and a mix of relaxation and entertainment.

The photos are taken after a storm. The beach is covered with sand and a few clams. You don't need special shoes for going into the sea as the first meters are with sand and clams, but after that it's only sand. There are multiple restaurant/beach clubs which offer sunbeds for 10 euro/person, drinks not included.

Gorgeous compound! The Nuns open the monastery at 4pm for the afternoon visit. A good size crowd was waiting for the opening. You need to wear proper attire to enter the Monastery! Some women and kids came in bathing suits. Luckily for them, there are shrouds available to cover them so that they can enter.

Bit of a hidden gem this one. Although the building itself is not particularly impressive from the outside...inside is another story. Virtually all the inside wall space is covered by religious murals. Beautifully painted it must have taken months if not years! Most definitely worth a visit.

A very interesting place with a fascinating back story. Hearing about the Saints yearly celebration and what they do was educational to say the least. A lovely place to walk around and take in some of the island's history.

Very beautiful monastery with a church. If you don't have decent clothing they provide cloths to cover up. We witnessed ceremonial activity of the nuns and monks there. It's worth the short detour.

The monestary feels very modern, as it was only restored/built in the 90's. The small chapel where the bones of the patron saint are kept can be viewed daily around 12:00/12:30 if you're lucky.

Stunning new church and incredible old chapel which displays the Saint's body as well as access to his underground caves.

Very clean hotel. Receptionist very helpful. Staff lovely in general. Excellent warm pool and another smaller one for kids although too deep really. Bar at the pool was great and there's another by the beach,again Excellent. Rooms are not overly sized but fine really and modern with a decent sized bathroom and balcony. Bad points : We were greeted on arrival with the climate charge which is now €5 instead of €3 per night. Then we were asked if we wanted air-conditioning on which was another €8 per night. As if that wasn't enough there's another €3 per night if you want the use of the safe !! So a ten night holiday had an extra charge of €160. Want to pay even more ? The parasols and sunbeds in the grounds of the hotel look lovely don't they? If you want to use them there's another €15 charge per day making a total of €310 added to your holiday. When I booked this hotel I assumed I booked a room and hotel with the use of what's in it! The sunbeds on the beach are €20 but to charge for them is acceptable and normal. Such a shame they feel they need to charge like that as the hotel is nice in a great location.

Great hotel!! I would rate it 4 stars instead of 3, breakfast is very extended, really nice staff. Sofia at the reception is a lovely warm welcoming person. The hotel is next to the beach which is sand beach so great. Really nice vibe, no music at the pool which we liked and no entertainment so a nice quiet hotel. Everything super clean! Only bed matrasses could be better, they were really hard.

Brilliant hotel right on the beach. Breakfast was a good spread. Pools are great, beach bar is good. Only thing that one needs to be aware of is that the airport is right behind the hotel over the road, so all day and up to about 10pm you have landing and taking off planes coming over super low.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, and overall, it was a decent experience. One of the biggest advantages was its great location, especially for travelers — it’s very close to the airport, which made getting there super convenient. While you can hear the sound of planes taking off, I found it surprisingly non-disruptive and easy to tune out. However, the room was quite small, which could be uncomfortable for longer stays or if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. For a short stay like mine, though, it was manageable and served its purpose well. If you’re looking for a place near the airport for a quick overnight stop, this hotel is a convenient and acceptable choice.

Staff is nice, breakfast is good and very close to one of the nicest beaches in Zakynthos, refresh every day. I recommend booking here!

Whilst we were holidaying in Kalamaki. We used this as a base for visiting the beach. Great food, great value, fantastic location, just an all round friendly place.

The beach is very beautiful, it has sun loungers and a place to sit on a towel, the beach is also delimited with an area for turtles. The beach closes at 7:30 p.m.

Nice beach where turtles lays their nests. Part of the beach (Fortunately) is still reserved for the turtles, but it's still big. Nice sand and crystalline water, highly suggested Just outside there is a big parking spot and a free to visit small turtle museum to spread awareness (must visit)

Nice sandy beach, we like to snorkel and tried to do that at the end of the beach where we noticed rocks. Nothing special from marine life to see. Warning - many nudist people here, they walk around with no swimsuits touching their private parts. We were disgusted. Don't take your children there.

Beautiful loggerhead turtle hatching spot even though we weren’t visiting during the hatching season. There were some people flouting rules such as using drones, but there were equally some weirdos telling people off without having a clear understanding of the rules. We were visited by the massage guys every 10 minutes once and it added to the anxiousness of the day. But the beach is shallow, beautiful and after speaking with the staff, hopefully gets more cordoned off during hatching seasons.

Lovely beach, very busy so it's best to get there early. It's a large deep sandy beach but as you can appreciate half of it is closed off because of the turtle nests. The waters Lovely a clear. Three huge parking lots next to bars, restaurants and the turtle conservation centre.

Very scenic beach, nice if you want to be in touch with nature. No amenities on the beach, you need to walk around 500 back to the road to find anything. The prices for sunbeds are high (40 E/day).

Lovely bay, crowded at this time of the year as the majority is closed for the turtle nesting and beware the far end as it is frequented by nudest bathers. The bay is shallow and calm offering great safety for children.

Free parking onsite with very comfortable beach chairs for rent. There is also a free section. Showers, changing rooms, toilets and beach bar onsite as well. They differ in price from back to front of beach. We paid 25€ for a set of two chairs with umbrella, which is more or less the current going rate throughout the Ionian as we visited both in Lefkada and Kefalonia as well. Food and service were great and reasonably priced compared to other beach bars. The water is shallow and very warm so perfect if you want to bring kids or a family. There was nice music and vibes as well. Would recommend visiting! Corina took great care of us.

Very nice and cosy place! There's music, but not too loud. There are lot of people, but we could always get sunbeds and umbrella, despite on other beaches. The prices are moderate, the stuff is always available and very friendly. Our favourite on Zante. 😍

A stunning beach and well worth its award. Sunbeds are 10 euros each but are so comfortable and come with waitress service to them. Had 2 great days here which included food and drinks. Well worth a visit.

Nice, clear and clean water. Good service and very fast, the food was also very good for a beach! Sunbed pricing is based on distance from water - starting at €30 next to the water, all the way down to €20 further away. There might be a minimum consumption per person, of about €10-€15 per person, but if you get food, there’s no problem in getting to this. Overall, great experience, no wonder it’s one of the most popular ones on the island.

Nice place and beach. Need to take you waters shoo with you. It’s small stones in the beginning of the water and later sandy. Good beds. Approx 20 euro,s per set in the back and 30 more near the water. Nice bar and drinks. A bid on the price but you get nice service in return. The restaurant is also good. Had the club sandwich and was great. Like this place a lot!

Nice sandy beach with fine, clear water. You have organized beach - like classy Banana casa playa (beach bar) with their sevice, wi-fi, ATM, parking place with roof... If you are more ascetic type, you have wild beach beside. Public KTEL bus could bring you to the beach which is friendly to disable person. On the beach is service of water sports. I have very enjoyed this beach, so absolutely recommend you to visit it.

Heavenly place, the bay is great, sand, there is natural shade and nice sun loungers. A great place to watch the sunset. Access is only a 15 minute walk from the bus stop or parking lot. The restaurant is quite mediocre and expensive.

Basic facilities in apartment, great location, quiet village with selection of restaurants 5 mins walks away. Nice place to get away from all the hussle & bussle. Beach is lovely with not many people on it. Views of the mountains too. Car possible needed to explore.

Room with bad power connectivity, ancient and noisy AC unit, garden furniture inside the room and the bare minimum cutleries in a glass. Ground floor studio is promoted with a "Sea view", but instead your view is fields and weeds. In order to see a small part of the sea you have to stand up at a specific location. The accomodation is in the middle nowhere, access is via an old agricultural gravel road (walking is not advised) and the beach is around 200 meters away. The building has power issues (blackout affecting only the residency) and the AC failed twice during the heatwave, so we lost an entire night of sleep as we woke up sweating and barely breathing from the heat. The place should be renamed to "Fields appartments" instead of "Beach appartments". No value for money, location is bad, we booked other accomodations west from there with better views, facilities and service.

Nice apartment with essential facilities in a great location. Quiet, comfortable, with helpful support when present. There seems to be a good working partnership with the Dreamcatcher Taverna next door which is A1. We recommend the house wine, lemon chicken, etc.

We spent 10 nights at this wonderful family owned hotel. We were a group of 5 families with 12 children and we always felt like at home and were treated exceptionally by the staff. Rooms were cleaned regularly, food at the restaurant was delicious and also the best price in Kato Katelios. There are things that can be improved like a bit of redesign in bathrooms or being a little faster in the restaurant (specially in the morning), but overall this was a perfect vacation. The beach next to hotel is.perfect for swimming but has no sun beds. We went to Kaminia beach which is 15 minutes walk to east on the rocks, 25 min swimming or 7 minutes with a car. Thanks again for the welcoming hosts.

This family run business is ideal for all. Set alone on a plot of land over looking the sea and in land towards the mountains with beautiful scenery. The food is excellent whether lunch or dinner. Quite easy to sit and relax for several hours.

Dreams is indeed a hidden gem in Katelios, authentic and tasty Greek cuisine, awesome sea view vibes in a shady, cosy outdoor area and the feeling that you're getting something special off the beaten path are all reasons to get involved in Dreams. A+ cocktails were amazing also! Favourite place in Kefalonia we've found so far 😊

We did not stay in the hotel, but visited the taverna almost every day, rented the beach chairs and had lunch. Super friendly people, we always felt welcomed, excellent food and drinks.

Last Saturday we went on the boat trip. We've done this boat trip several times and it's always a joy to spend a whole day at sea. Marios and Nikos are very experienced, helpful and create a relaxed atmosphere on board. Children have the opportunity to steer the boat, under Marios' guidance. The first stop is Marathonissi, also known as Turtle Island. Because we arrived so early, it was still very quiet. The boat is also equipped with two clean toilets and a sunshade. The sunshade is especially helpful if you're doing the boat trip with young children and would like to sit in the shade. Throughout the trip, Mario tells you all he knows about Caretta Caretta turtles and other marine life, such as octopus, starfish, and sea urchins. During lunch time, you'll stop at Agios Sostis, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the Harbour House. If you're still hesitating about going on this boat trip, I'd say just book it with Joanna; you will not be disappointed. I hope that, by reading this review, you will stop at Mai’s market in Vasilikos to book this trip. It’s not just a boat trip, it’s also educational, relaxing and fun too. Marios and Nikos, thank you for this wonderful day and also for helping me getting on and off the boat with my children and bag. I’m wishing you all the best!

Had a wonderful time on this boat trip. Mario is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the areas you visit on the boat. Includes lots of swimming stops, including cave swimming and on private Islands. One of the highlights of our trip!

Superb day out, well worth it! Fantastic day out and would recommend it for all these reasons: Super easy to get on and off the boat into the water. Takes you right up to the turtle island so you can get off in shallow water if you prefer. Facilities are great with two toilets on the boat. Very well paced day with swim stops, and sea creatures brought on board with care, of which Mario had great knowledge. Mario is a great guy who goes the extra mile to make sure all have a great experience.

We had such a great boat trip with Mario and Niko! They are super friendly and you can really tell they are locals who know all the best spots. They took us to many beautiful places, we even got to see turtles! They also gave us great recommendations for where to eat. Both of them are funny, kind, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Great cruise. Very good time spent with family. In addition to beautiful views, in our free time we get portions of interesting facts about the local fauna. We saw several turtles and a seal. Mario and Niko are doing a great job. During the cruise, they dived for octopuses, starfish, sea urchins, crabs and other creatures whose names I no longer remember. I recommend it to all visitors to Zakynthos ️️️

Run by a wonderful Greek family. the menu caters for all. Wholesome and traditional foods made with island produce and served with love and care. A must place to visit.

What a lovely quaint Greek Kantina,serving traditional quick snacks and drinks right on the beach ⛱️ ,lovely welcoming lady and her family if you eat here for breakfast/ lunch then the sunbeds and parasol are free( keep the receipt as proof) showers 🚿 toilets 🚻 and car parking available, slight slope of wooden pallets onto the beach itself, but if you go steady it ok,definitely going back here tomorrow, just be careful of the Carretta Carretta ( Loggerhead turtles 🐢) nesting sights, they are marked like in the photo.

It’s just off the road - 100 met - worth a visit. Some nice mosaics

Very interesting to see this Roman villa from over 2000 years ago. 6 rooms to see so only a quick visit required. Sign said open at 8.30 but at 9am there was no sign of anyone so I had to go back later. Right in Skala so worth a quick trip. It's closed on Wednesday and shuts around 3.30. Entry was €5.

Whilst unique to the island and beautiful, it is extremely difficult to get to if you have a pram, pushchair, or small children. The path is actually a rock climbing event to get to it

I loved my visit to the Skala Roman Villa. Many things wonder about and the detail brought up more the question,which a sign of a great place. Special mention to the lady ticket seller who was welcoming and helpful.

Went twice when it was supposed to be open, but on both times there was nobody in the entrance booth. You can still see some of the mosaics over the fence.

Not worth spending the money, visiting takes 3 minutes and the entrance is 5€. Nothing special, some ruins are visible over the fence

If in Skala this villa is worth a visit. It's a tiny archaeological site but mosaics are astonishing, also considering they were done roughly 2000years ago. I was also impressed by the gardener who was taking care of the site under a hot sun! In order to preserve places like this, maybe it would be useful to pay a ticket.

Clean and quiet beach. Sand! Not rocks. Chairs with umbrellas to let. Not much parking. The water is beautiful.

This is for the south nudist section of Scala around the large rocks. Mid Sept and and the beach was great. Late Sept 2025 and the beach was getting pretty well destroyed by the storm. Was small pebbles and loads of fish for snorkelling. Also easy to swim around to Spithi and Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK the next beach along which are both nudist. Spithi is not good but Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK is huge and great. Those are quite difficult to get to direct as the car parking is severely limited.

Long beach clear water stones and sand mostly stones. You'll need water shoes as its very stoney. But it's a beautiful beach we just laid our towel on stones and sat Dippin feet. Skala is a long beach so plenty of space you can hire deck chairs or sunbeds and umbrella if you wish. You can sit close to or far away from water sports the 1 place on beach for watersports is amazing and super friendly. No pressure from them either if u do sit close by.

Lovely beach, would recommend sea shoes as it stoney!! But once tour in its ok, it's also a bit of a drop off, 6 feet in and your chest deep. But still lovely

Beautiful beach with a relaxed vibe — I stayed at the 9 Musses Hotel beach, where a set (2 sunbeds and a large umbrella) goes for €12. The water was refreshing but not too cold, and while water shoes aren’t a must, they could come in handy since the beach is a mix of small rocks and sand. The beach bar menu had all the classics you’d expect, and I’d personally recommend the Margarita pizza — simple and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. It’s a great spot to spend the day soaking up the sun, and if you feel like grabbing dinner or going for a nice stroll, the charming town of Skala is just above the beach, offering a lovely walking area and plenty of restaurants to explore.

I loved ot!!! Nice, clean, long....enteance is nice...who likes snorkling it is greqt...there is lots of fishes...lots of bars if you like that and lots of place for intimacy if you are not for sunbeds and restaurants

Very very big and nice beach which honestly surprised me. Great water, sand is mixed (probably imported). Nearby hillside with parking is gorgeous with a really beautiful small city. Road from Argostoli to here is nicer and easier to drive then going to north or east side of island.

What a wonderful experience here at Glyfa Beach Hotel. We have arrived really late as a big group, yet, we have been welcomed and asked if we needed anything before we went to the rooms. Rooms are really clean and tidy and the owner is kind and generous and location is perfect as it's close to the beach. We recommend this place with a full heart! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcomed and we will definitely come back! 5****

A lovely place for a quiet and peaceful holiday! We arrived later in the evening and the host welcomed us with warm greetings, and helped us out with everything we needed. The hotel is well maintained, has a lovely pool with a bar. The staff there were extremely attentive and friendly as well. However, if you would prefer to have a swim in the sea it’s also just a 5 minute walk away from the hotel itself. Besides the rooms being tidy and neat, in two of the rooms we stayed in the shower and toilet were not properly working which was a big let down. They told us it was due to repairs in that floor, yet we did not receive a replacement. The breakfast was amazing, many fruits and other produce such as eggs were locally sourced from the owners farm. It was delicious! Overall a lovely stay in this cozy family owned hotel. If all the amenities were functioning properly i would say it is near perfect! Thank you :)

Great pool area with friendly and polite staff. Sea is about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Also there is a good by the sea tavern near by. The downside is that the restaurant and the pool bar do not offer any food and the rooms are kind of old and do not offer lot of space. In general was a disent hotel that really needs to improve the interior facilities. Breakfast was ok.

Honestly I couldn’t recommend this place more. The hotel is lovely and the pool is fantastic. Easy and plenty of private parking. The staff are all so so kind. The breakfast was amazing, lots of options but the highlight was the homemade Greek yogurt. We will be back!

A real gem of a museum with a great hostess who demonstrates some of the the models.. Small but full of interesting model exhibits showing ancient mechanical devices. One being a whistling (bird call) alarm clock driven by falling water!

It is one of the best museums I've ever been to! The amount and perplexity of the devices depected in the artifacts is mind-blowing! The best part thought, is the guides! They give you a thorough insight on how the devices used to work and they are performing some experiments live! There is no admission fee, there is just a charity box for whoever wants to leave a tip. There is also a small gift shop inside the museum which has some very interesting replicas of the artifacts. The prices are normal for a gift shop, ranging from 0,50 cents to 40€. On the second floor there are some of the games/artifacts that you can sit down and play with which is really amazing! For a total tour and playing with those type of "board games" you will need 1.30-2 hours, if you're into details! Totally, recommend and the location is ideal! It's 2 mins walking from the port of Katakolo.

Kotsanas museum of ancient Greek technology is near Katakolon port, about 5 minutes walk. It has 5 Euros payment for entrance / donation fee. I find the museum small because you can see all of their showcased technological ancient Greek works in just under 10 minutes but if the museum staff will demonstrate how these ancient Greek technologies work then it will definitely take longer than 10 minutes. Athough the museum is not that large, there is still fairly a lot of ancient Greek technological works you can see there and of course, there is also souvenirs for sale in the museum and they even accept credit card payments. I got me a fridge magnet and a Pythagorean cup. The cup is for sale in Amazon for 49 USD but I got it only for 12 Euros in the museum and there is a small size of this cup for sale at only 10 Euros. I was not planning to post any videos of the museum but I saw in Google maps that someone already did post videos and pictures of the museum so might as well post my own videos and pictures to promote curiosity to other people.

What a cool experience! 19th century wine farm, where the charm has probably just increased over time. We were treated to some wine tasting and had a little walk around. The hospitality was simply out of this world, and we were made to feel very special. Would return any day!!

We visited this estate on a cruise excursion. Very interesting short drive from the ship. Met new friends and drank very good wine, then bought a few bottles. Roula was our hostess at the winery and she is just super! This was a fun short excursion made better by all the great people we met.

This vineyard is an absolute gem. If you love dry reds and whites like I do, the wine is incredible. Getting there is easy—just follow the map. There’s a large parking lot, though the entrance can be a bit confusing. Skip the dining hall door and head to the one that opens into a beautiful room with a large table. They serve traditional Greek food, but it appears to be reservation-only. Now, the call to make a reservation was... memorable. My husband, who’s Greek, called to ask if a party of four needed reservations (since most vineyards in Greece don’t accept visitors or do tastings). He opened with, “Yassu… do you take reservations?” But he was stuttering a bit, and the woman on the other end cut him off in Greek with, “Stop stuttering and just tell me what you want!” He couldn’t stop laughing afterward. We were told to be there by 1:30 p.m. because they close at 2:00 p.m. When we arrived, no one explained how tastings worked. We were simply handed a list and asked what we wanted to start with. We chose the rosé. The pours were generous—more like glasses than tastes. We looked at each other, smiled, and toasted with a cheerful “Yamas!” Curious for more, we went back for the white. I went a bit slower and came up behind the group. My husband returned from his second round laughing. He had asked for a dry white, and the woman snapped, “They’re both dry!” When it was my turn, I asked for a tasting of the same white—and this time I got a proper tasting pour, not a full glass. My husband looked confused. His second pour had been just as heavy as the first. Later, we found out: if you get a full pour, you're expected to buy the bottle. A tasting? No strings attached. We visited this beautiful winery while at the port in Katakolo. We walked around and took many cool scenic photos and sampled some wine, of course. There is a little hop on, hop off "train" which is really just a little shuttle that can bring you here and to a nearby beach which was worth it.

The place located in a perfect position. Just near the sea. You can walk to the beach from there if you want. We did not took the guided tour around the winery but we got some wine while getting some great help from one of the owners. The wine is great and the place have a special magic.

Really nice Port that boards Ferries to Zakynthos and Kefalonia. Boarding is pretty quick and efficient so try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your departure time.

Its a very good port for transporting cars, busses and trucks. A lot of traects go from the port to the greek islands. This place has a beautiful beach and beautiful view especially in the morning when sun comes up.

Killini is a basic port that we used as a landing point on our Luxe Sailing Ionian Odyssey sailing tour. We landed here for a fantastic day trip to Ancient Olympia and the Archimedes museum.
