Beautiful gardens and forest. The walled garden is one of the best around. The audio house tour is highly recommended. One can easily spend a day wandering the grounds and forest trails. Excellent farm and garden shop, and a children's play area that makes adults want to join. Excellent cafe. All in all, a wonderful place to wander alone, or for a day out with the entire family.

My second visit after many years. Such a lovely historic building with volunteer staff to tell you about the family, the paintings, and just a wonderful experience all round. The gardens are huge but very well tended. If I get to Yorkshire again it will definitely get another visit. We had lunch there too. Very good food with help yourself to salad stuff. We had the cheese filled jacket potatoes with salad and homemade coleslaw. Too full for sweet but they looked amazing.

An absolutely beautiful place. I highly recommend buying a ticket to visit the palace and gardens. The interiors and paintings are beautiful. Most rooms have guides who will tell you the history of what you're seeing and the entire place. Lady Howard still lives in one of the wings of the palace. Unfortunately, the castle library is in her private rooms. 😢. The place is enormous! We were only there for three hours, but we could have explored it all day. A perfect place for a family trip. 👍👍

Came here to take part in 10k run, so had a lovely opportunity to run all the way round the gardens, and then have a further potter around in the walled garden afterwards, and nip to the cafe, and a peek into the big House itself. The gardens are magnificent, very natural, Capability Brown style. You could certainly imagine two Austen characters galloping across the grounds, laughing as they did so in the warming sun. At least that’s how it felt in October. Would have liked to look more round the house, but in terms of the gardens, and its peacocks, it’s quite superb, and a worthy afternoon out to enjoy it.

This is the best non- mideval castle in all of Great Britain. While it is 500 years old, it is almost modern in the look and feel. The way it's set up for viewing, you can almost see and hear the family going about their daily routines and lives. The grounds are magnificent and and need to be seen to be fully appreciated. This is a historic site that should be mandatory for everyone visiting England.

If you enjoy a walk round some fabulous gardens, lakes, temples then this is for you. I didn't go in the house as I had a dog with me but the tea rooms, gift shop and farm shop all had something to give you joy. Really worth a visit.

Popped along for a visit whilst in the York area. Stunning. Definitely worth a visit. The grounds are quite large. We visited in Oct so was quite quiet, can imagine in Summer it's very busy.

What a great place to visit. There is something for every age and you can easily spend the day here. If your kids like.climbing and slides this is the place. There are lovely little interactive statues that keep.you entertained as you walk around from.one area to another to keep the kids engaged.

Amazing experience. Lots of fun activities to enjoy. Plenty of picnic benches if you want to bring your own food. Friendly staff. Fantastic value for money.

I recently visited Stockeld Park, and it turned out to be the perfect day out for families, especially those with young children. The park is full of creativity and imagination around every corner, offering a mix of fun, adventure, and beautiful surroundings. There’s so much to see and do — from the enchanting Enchanted Forest with its magical sculptures and themed trails, to the huge playground areas that kept the kids entertained for hours. The play zones are wonderfully designed, blending outdoor fun with artistic touches that make everything feel special. We also loved the seasonal activities, which really bring the place to life, whether it’s the winter skating rink or summer inflatables. Everything is well maintained and thoughtfully planned, making it easy to spend an entire day there without getting bored. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the café was great .

🌟 A Fantastic Day Out at Stockeld Park! 🌟 We visited Stockeld Park with our two little ones (ages 4 and 3), and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations! The park is bursting with fun, imagination, and adventure – our kids had the best time. Even our very energetic 4-year-old with ADHD was totally worn out by the end of the day... which, trust me, is nothing short of a miracle! The weather was glorious, which made the experience even better. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the park, and the food was absolutely delicious – a pleasant surprise for a family attraction! Everything was also really reasonably priced, which made the day feel even more enjoyable without worrying about breaking the bank. From the adventure playgrounds to the enchanted forest and everything in between, it was a magical day for all of us. We’re already planning our return – can’t recommend Stockeld Park enough for families with young kids. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always a great experience and the new Hive attraction is fabulous. Used to be a one off payment but now you have to pay for everything seperately which can add up and feel becoming a bit expensive as things do! but overall very happy

What an immense day out. Spent all day and still didn't do everything here. Recommend booking and paying extra for the "Hive" the indoor play area and book it first thing. It's quieter. The enchanted wood walk has at least 7 different spots to stop at. Each one has a different playground. This can take a few hours to get round but there is a cafe and picnic stop half way.

A fun day out for all ages, adults included on the boats. I just have a few moans. 1. A little bit of common sense in some areas. Every time we go on the boats we're asked by staff to put all bags and any valuables into a large wooden crate, fair enough and a sensible idea. However then the people getting off the boats have to rummage through all our bags on top to get to theirs at the bottom. Every time I go on the boats I say to staff wouldn't it make more sense to have the people on the boats collect their bags first then put ours in but nope, falls on deaf ears everytime. At least have two crates then because as you can clearly see, people awkwardly moving other people's bags and purses out of the way to get to theirs. 2. Shockingly missing off the menus are chips/fries. I never eat at Stockeld Park as the menus are pretty boring for me and over priced, seems to be on a bit of a health kick too. I always bring a picnic or sandwiches as I'm not paying £8.50 for a burger, just a burger with no fries. Kids want simple food like fries and well adults do too. A quick easy snack sorely needed. Understandable they'll probably say they'll be more mess but you confine food to certain areas so this shouldn't be a problem. 3. Food again. Why do the food places shut an hour and 45 minutes before closing, then shortly after from 4:30 pm. Stockeld Park closes at 6pm but food starts to shut down from 4:15pm right when everyone's starting to get hungry. So prepare yourself for this too as last food orders could realistically be 5:20pm. 4. Prices inside, and it's like this at most places. Once you have paid your entrance fee you shouldn't then have to pay for rides inside. So be aware that you have to pay for the boats £6.50 a boat, then the train, £3 a person. 5. Look at where parents have flopped their bums down, that's where you need benches. A lot more benches, as you'll notice a lot of grandparents and well adults too, just needing a quick breather and there's not enough benches. 6. Stockeld Park always looks like a work in progress, like it's never truly finished, like there's usually an area that used to be there (minigolf) that's being turned into something else, but taking a long time to do this. Bring back a decent mini Golf, that was fun. You can also see areas under construction, pretty much each time you come and usually the same areas too. 7. Staff are quick to herd you out once its closing time. Give us chance we've heard you. Maybe that's why food closes early too as the staff really want to get out of here and it shows. Anyway fun parts, its all pretty much fun, we do miss the segways which used to be on the train route, maybe some electric drivable buggies would be cool instead of the train. Also the train driver vaping, at least blow the smoke up into the air to simulate a steam train 😂 It's a nice walk, with some fairly decent play areas dotted around. The maze is always a fun challenge with points to look out over and see where you need to backtrack to, alot. The play hive is amazing. With food, drink and shoes not allowed inside, so it all feels very nice, clean and welcoming, I would save this for a hot day to cool down in or a cooler, wetter day to keep dry in. or if you're spending the full day here enjoy it anytime. It's a nice day out but needs fries for a 5 star rating from me.

Would highly recommend the Train Museum. We spent many hours walking round and reading the information plaques infront of each train. My son was very impressed with how big trains are up close. The Bullet train was really interesting. There were 2 well stocked cafes and ample seating. The road train back to the Minster was also a highlight. Its free to go but i recommend leaving a donation as they rely on these to keep the trains maintained and new trains coming in the future.

Excellent museum & rich in history. We booked tickets in advance via the website. It is free entry, easily accessible for wheelchairs etc. It does get busy so I would suggest booking tickets & it saves queuing. Within the ground there is plenty to see & I was pleasantly surprised how vast it is. Cafe's are set within the grounds (we had 2 large lattes at £8.10) plenty of seating if you wanted to bring your own pack lunches as many families did or you can order a family pack-lunch on site). Toilets are accessible & clean. There is a museum amongst all the history & this is payable to enter. There is another building across from the main one where you can continue the walkabout & continue viewing the fascinating history also a cafe in here too. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing Queen Victoria history. But there is something for everyone. A delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon & the staff were very welcoming & polite which was a nice way to start the viewing. You can make a donation to the museum of your choosing & make it via cash or card if you so wish. I highly recommend going & making a day of it, you won't be disappointed. It is a gem of a place. Parking is permit only around the area or you can park on the car-park at a cost of £10 for the day (a very good offer considering entrance to the museum is free). 😊

We visited this place last year ! We loved this place ! So many trains and so many nice experiences! A great selections of them and you actually have the chance to get on board. They have a nice dinner too. Museum highlights Iconic locomotives: See famous engines like the world's fastest steam locomotive, the Mallard, and Japan's Shinkansen 'bullet train'. Station Hall: Explore a century of railway life in this reopened gallery, which also houses the world's most extensive collection of royal carriages. Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery: An interactive, family-friendly exhibit with hands-on science displays. A separate ticket is required for entry. Virtual Reality experience: Experience the history of the world-famous steam locomotive, the Flying Scotsman, in a special VR experience. Railway memorabilia: The museum holds a vast collection of railway artifacts and memorabilia.

Brilliant day out with the kids. Definitely worth a visit. Visited from the west Midlands so we left early in the morning, just so we could get to York with enough time. We did arrive bout 3mins before our timing slot, but we was aloud to walk in. It does get busy then does have quiet bits through out day. Loads to see all throughout. Great viewing platform overlooking York Station. Just a shame the was doing works on the line that weekend when we was there. So only seen a few trains coming and leaving towards Scarborough. We sent at least 4 to 5 hours there. My 3 children enjoyed the whole day out. Took our own pack lunch to save money. Definitely worth a visit.

Great museum for all ages. Apart from seeing the iconic engines, the railway memorabilia area is thoughtfully curated and displayed in an innovative manner. The newly opened Station Hall is well worth a visit with special carriages on display in an atmospheric vintage Station setting. Children can enjoy the ride on the outdoor miniature railway.

York is a wonderful town and well worth a visit. It's easy to park and the historic center is perfectly easy walkable. And the centerpiece of course is the massive York Minster. It's an Anglican cathedral. The first record of a church on the site dates to 627, but the bulk of the building was constructed between 1220 and 1472.The minster retains most of its medieval stained glass, a significant survival among European churches. The Minster stands tall at a max. tower height of 235 feet (72 m) and is visible from far away. Good if you get lost...just look out for the Minster. And it is a really impressive piece of history, art and architecture. Really amazes you when you first walk up to it. There are so many details to find, to explore. To think how long it's been standing here - surviving quite the fire in 1984. We didn't go in this time around, but that's surely something for another visit. Not sure it's always as windy as it was when we've visited (August), but boy....did it almost blow us away at Precentors Court on the west side of the Minster. So, hold on your hats! Definitely a must do - probably THE must-do when in York.

Beautiful cathedral! Would recommend everyone to see this if in the UK. The architecture was astonishing, both inside and out. So lovely hearing church bells again, it really uplifts the soul. Only thing is it’s expensive to go inside and I would advise you buy tickets before hand.

York minister is an absolutely stunning cathedral, the architecture, stained glass windows and stone carvings are spectacular. The staff are very friendly and there is also a free guided tour. I would definitely recommend, it’s a must see if you visit York.

Hard to stress how important this place is! Walking distance from the Station, its worth the £20 admission fee. There are many medieval Stained glass windows, all worth a close look. The Great East Window, recently restored is a National Treasure, depicting the Revelation, constructed from 1405-8, the single largest expanse of medieval glass in Britain. A long camera lens or binoculars recommended! Dont forget the Zouche chapel and The Chapter House too. Plenty of other interesting things to see as well.

Second time back to York and loved it as much as I did previously. Sadly The Shambles was very much crowded and couldn't get the photos we were wanting to take, but I guess it's a tourist attraction and there are lots who want to go and see this anyways!

Beautiful buildings, almost like you’ve gone back in time. If you want good photos you have to get there at the crack of dawn before it gets rammed with tourists. I got there at 6:30am to snap these shots. Wonderful

Visited on our trip to York, really busy lots of tourists walking through and queueing to get in to shops. Really lovely old quirky street with gorgeous shops. We went into Shambles market too lots of interesting stalls.

I loved the Shambles. Yes, it is crowded and attracts tourists, that’s no question. But it also has such a fun vibe and great shops. We arrived at 9:15 AM and it was almost empty. We got in line for the Ghost Merchants. Arriving early allows you to enjoy the street before it gets super busy. The eateries were great and the employees at every shop we went to were so kind and welcoming. Our entire experience was excellent. We came back in the evening during a witch tour and it was also quiet. All the shops had shut down and besides the unfortunate scaffolding currently in place, it was also charming and inviting. We did our best to enjoy all the shops (so many great ones!) and avoided any place that would provide royalties to she who shall not be named. Really loved our time here.

Such a great interactive museum. My kids aged 5 7 and 11 all absolutely loved it. So much to see and do to keep them entertained. Dressing up, role play, interactive exhibits all ready to be touched and experienced. Eureka are also extremely helpful and accommodating to children on the spectrum. With resources there to support parents and children who may be overstimulated. We got there at 10 and left about 3 so a good chunk of the day. We took our own picnic and refreshingly for a museum they have both inside and outside picnic areas which is great. The only downside really is the price. They do have different discounts available but it can get quiet expensive for a larger family, although once you pay in you get a years membership so another plus

Went with my 9yo. I wouldn't say it is a full day out. We felt most of the museum is aim at 5 and under. We spent three hours here and did several of the attractions twice.. Personally would not say it was worth the £55 I paid..another thing I didn't realise was the car park is pay and display another £6 added to the day.. Lots of places to sit with a picnic. Cafe is as to be expected a little expensive.

Had a lovely day at Eureka and it was surprisingly easy to get to via Rochdale train station and when you get off the train, Eureka is right next to the station. My daughter was very wary of the ABOUT YOU section as it freaked her out but after we got her passed that she enjoyed the gaming room, Lego, drawing, play house exploring. Well worth a day out.

Amazing place! Every time we go it's a different adventure. My 3 and 6 year old love it and it doesn't matter how many time we go.

Myself and my 2 boys had a great time at Eureka. Having children with sensory needs can be challenging, however the staff at Eureka were so helpful. We were able to borrow headphones as I hadn't brought a set (not used too often but my eldest was struggling). They had themed backpacks too that you could borrow with sensory toys. Within minutes, my youngest became very dysregulated and one of the staff members took us to a quiet room. The room had a bubble fish lamp, toys, confortbale seating and a phone we could use if we needed anything. This was incredibly helpful. The rest of the day went smoothly and I would highly recommend Eureka to family's with children who have ASD and sensory needs!

I took my four year old to Eureka! recently given that I thought he’d enjoy it and the fact that it also states it’s an autism friendly venue. I’d say it is generally suitable for an autistic child, and for anyone who is disabled, and we saw lots of disabled visitors whilst we were there too. It was nice to be able to let my son wander and explore fairly safely and follow his lead. Whilst there were areas that my child was able to engage with, such as anything that had a button he could press or some of the more visual areas, there were probably too many simple buttons where it was just simple cause and effect rather than things that can be manipulated, moved or transformed in order to understand what they were trying to communicate. A large proportion of the attraction also relies on a child’s imaginary play ability, such as the small world area with the shop, bank and house, which is not always suitable for an autistic learner unless there are more physical or scaffolded elements to it. There could be more adaptations made for different types of learners in general. It was also a shame to not see any letters, numbers or shapes as part of the broader learning experience. More visuals paired with text would also be useful for some autistic learners in order to offer clarity. The area where there’s a ‘dark forest’ for example could have benefitted from text or audio instructions on how to play and interact with the attraction and would have helped my son to understand what to do. The toileting facilities were too scant, and the loud hand dryers are also an issue in terms of sensory sensitivities. The ‘change and feed room’ could have done with a toilet inside too where I could have changed both my four year old and five month old at the same time safely and without distraction or noise, and used the facilities myself. The outside area has an absolutely giant sand pit, which I think takes up space that could be put to better use.

Went here when I was 8 or 9 with primary school and I remember how cool it was. I'm 40 now and couldn't wait to take my lad. What the heck has happened to the place? It's not at all how I remember it. It's more like a creshé for toddlers not the interactive adventure filled fun experience I had when I was at school. My lad is only 6 and he was bored after 2 hours and so was I. There's a food court that was so busy there were no tables left. So we went to the picnic area and again no seats so we waited another hour to sit down and eat something. £18 each is a bit steep for what you get which unfortunately isn't much now. Coming back has ruined a good childhood memory and we Won't be coming back in a hurry sadly.

A great day out for all. Beautiful gardens, surrounded by stunning scenery and extraordinary sculptures. Well worth a visit. The gardens are situated in a valley so you need to be fairly fit to walk down and back but the slopes and steps make it possible even for older visitors.

Loved it here. Beautiful park full of loads of amazing sculptures. Lots of areas to explore. I particularly enjoyed the William Kentridge exhibition and the chapel too. Highly recommended and look forward to my next visit.

A random day out, selected by my daughter. I had never heard of the place but found it really enjoyable. The day we went was early November, very misty with a slight drizzle toward the end if our time, this actually made the atmosphere quite eerie. £9.50 entrance fee seemed fair. We only had a few hours so want to go back probably on a sunny day as there is a lot more to explore.

This has long been on my list and well worth it. I was bowled over with the exhibits, enjoyed myself even with the rain. Plenty of trees to shelter under. Huge park, the site map shows routes and distance, a few times I was disorientated needing some more signposts. I worked out I walked over 12k with my round trip and gallery walks. A fun Art Studio in the Underground Gallery with objects, paper and coloured pencils to create ones own art. Accessibility: Good, one room I thought was difficult due to the door and the gallery in the Chapel. Otherwise Lifts, Ramps and accessible Paths. Scooters and Wheelchairs for hire. Some hilly areas, and you need to get onto the grass to get close up to quite a few sculptures. Car Park: Not too far from the entrance with parking for disabled nearer. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Toilets: In the main building and another set in the park. Disabled loo.

Stunningly beautiful natural landscape with amazing works of art scattered all round in a sensitive way. Could spend all day there. The cakes in the cafe looked amazing too! Biscoff cookie sandwich, yes please!

Love this place for an amazing pit-stop whenever we have to drive south. The grounds and sculptures are first-rate anyway, of course, but the restaurant serves great food and the balcony has fantastic views over the rolling landscape. A nice meal and a stroll around here does a wonderful job of wiping out two hours of driving, ready for the second leg.

The sculptures are set in beautiful grounds and the sculptures are extremely varied. There are a number of location maps around the grounds but I feel where individual pieces are could be made more clear.

Amazing weekend out for all the family. Look for a hotel stay with extra day free park entry tickets because you will need 2 days, at least, to see everything. Park is large, good selwxtion of animals and animatronic dinosaurs. Lots of play parks, soft play, indoor play, cafes and restaurants. Staff in the park, hotel, and shops were exceptional and very informative. Costs are very reasonable for food and gifts.

It's a fun day out for everyone! There's loads of free parking, but stick to the regular car park unless you're staying at the hotel. The animals have big enclosures. You can find the feeding times at the entrance. You can buy a map at the entrance or download the app. I reckon the best way to see the Park is to go right after you get through the turnstiles. Head through Pangea, the dinosaur bit. Watch out for the spitting dino! It'll take you 2 to 3 hours to walk around. Wear comfy shoes. There are plenty of places to eat and picnic spots for the kids. Drinks and snacks are a bit pricey, but hey, that's what you get when you're captive audience! We visited at the beginning of October and saw at least 90% of the animals.

Very good parking and a large footprint. Contains several play areas and eating establishment's. A good variety of animals and good viewing areas. In windier/colder weather, be aware that some areas are closed off and there's a chance you may not see certain animals. Could be better signposting throughout the park in my opinion. Overall it is worth the visit.

What a day! I honestly felt like a little kid again. It’s been years since I last visited a zoo or wildlife park, and I was completely in my element. The staff were so friendly, the animals were fantastic, and the walk-through areas were an absolute highlight. Such a lovely experience from start to finish – I can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic place. Awesome day out, animals look very well looked after with big enclosures, originally went to see Capybara due to an obsessed child, nice little walk around to be within a few feet of one. Plenty put stops to eat or have a picnic. Highly recommend.

Visited many times in the past but this time it was for the Light Festival. Couldn't fault anything. Food options at The Hive are varied and obviously lots of things to do/see - although of course most of the animals were abed! The staff were helpful and kind , even after a long day of helping. Easy to get to and exit - but that's by car. Can't speak about other transport options. The Light Festival is worth a visit; it's truly a 'walk-of-art'!!

Nicely laid out, great attractions and plenty of different animals, it was nice to see them in decent enclosurs. Went for the Halloween event which had 5 sections to find, they was big ques but they didn't make you feel rushed. Will definitely visit again.

Been here before. Plenty of shops and food quarter to eat in. Stayed in hotel near by so could return with better photos. Plenty of security staff and shops clean and tidy. Had taco bell which was nice and hot. Popeyes which I found quite spicy. Overall shopping centre with lots of choices. Being on Sunday was very busy. And car park looked full. Xmas lights looked nice.worth a visit once xmas sets in.

Meadowhall is a massive shopping area right next to the M1 motorway. Been around a few year now and needs more upgrades in certain areas. Lots of parking in privately owned car park free for a certain amount of hours. Lots of big brand shopping outlets for everyone’s needs regardless of age or gender. There used to be a lot more individually owned shops rather than just jig department stores which is a shame. I would go in the week if possible weekends are mental. No supermarkets but a M & S so most things covered. Worth going to for sure.

Meadowhall is a huge shopping centre, so huge that I felt overwhelmed. At times I was disoriented and had no idea which section of the shopping centre I was in. Virtually every high street shop is present along with a few independents. My favourite shop was Lindt Chocolates. If you enjoy large shopping, you may live Meadows which has great variety of shops and eateries!

Meadowhall remains a bustling shopping hub, offering a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment. The Oasis Dining Quarter provides various food options, making it a great spot for a break during shopping. As for Motorfest, it was a spectacular event featuring Hollywood cars, classic vehicles, and even Transformers like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. The event also supported Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, with charity. Visitors enjoyed live music, arts and crafts, and even supercar passenger rides for donations. It was a truly great experience.

Came for Christmas shopping. Place was easy accessable for my wheelchair. Beautiful decorations there is an abundance of different things to shop for and veriaty of food to eat

Love meadowhall with its range of shops and free parking. Plenty of places to eat too. I would not advise going in school holidays or as Christmas approaches,on a Saturday. It does get very busy but we enjoyed our visit on a Friday late November.

Great shopping center and easy to reach via public transport, has a train station. Plenty of parking. It's huge, very easy to get lost but that's all part of it. Pretty much every shop you'd imagine to be in such a large place. Plenty of good food and things to do. Definitely worth a visit.

We bought our tickets to the house in advance and I would recommend this as it can get quite busy. I visited with my Nan who uses a walker and the staff couldn't have done more to help her. She was escorted to lifts which meant she didn't miss a thing. Several times she was asked if she'd like a buggy ride to different parts of the estate, but even being a little frail she managed to walk most places with her walker. Overall we loved our visit. The food we had, although quite expensive, was well worth it and very delicious! The sights we saw were amazing. The house and grounds are kept immaculately and we enjoyed learning about the history of the estate. We were there for 5 hours and still didn't get to see everything, but then we weren't in a rush. Oh and cute cats in the kitchen garden are a bonus too! I loved being able to fuss them. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We enjoy visiting Chatsworth House. This time an art exhibition was on display, which changed the experience in a positive way. We don’t always get to see the animals, but we were able to this time around. The weather was great. The staff were helpful. We had a poke around the shops. A lovely day out. I would recommend to anyone, especially if you haven’t been before

The Chatsworth Christmas ticket gives you access to the House, unlimited entry to the gardens for one day, and you can also access the Christmas market (which is free). It’s a lovely day out and well worth the ticket price. Be warned, food and drink inside is very pricey (but what do you expect?). I’d recommend the Stables for something lovely and warm that doesn’t break the bank.

excellent day out, lots of stewards buzzing around offering help. my elderly mother was well taken care of and we were ushered through using lifts and short cuts. was a great day for her. interesting descriptions provided throughout the house. try to venture into the gardens and take photos from in front of the fountain.

The christmas markets are very good and of course the house, gardens and farm are open. The decorations are very good this year. Best to get to the markets early (10am) as it gets busy by 12pm. The food at the market isn't cheap at about £15 for most meals. The cafe near to the shop at the top of the markets serve sandwiches at about £8 each and also have goid toilets. Another thing we do each year is to take our own longer stick and large marshmallows rather than buy the short sticks they provide and take drinks with you.

Really enjoyable day the grounds are beautiful would visit again. The house was lovely didn't take long to visit all the rooms all were very beautiful. The staff were fabulous can honestly say every encounter was helpful snd friendly and just really nice people. The food eas exceptionally good lots of choice . Will be going back mainly to explore more of the grounds and visit the shop and cafe.

Large Christmas market with lots of stalls. The house is decorated well with lots of little fairy lights in the rooms. Our day was sunny but cold. We walked around the gardens and ventured into the maze, got a bit lost 🤣🤣. Well worth the visit.

It was our first visit and we hadn't realised how big the site was. We recently had English Heritage membership, so had free entry. There was ample free parking and the ruins of the old house and impressive newer house. Lots of interesting history and rooms you can access, such as Bess' bed chamber. Lots of tapestries, including one made by Queen Mary. Nice shop and cafe and beautiful gardens. Plenty to see and do.

A really amazing place to visit. We only expected to be a couple of hours at most, but there was so much to see. The visit also includes the adjacent old hall ruins. The house is stunning, and the interiors are decorated with the most amazing embroidery which hangs from almost every wall and room. The volunteers are very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the property. We took our dog and he was welcome in an area of the restaurant, which was nice as it was cold and raining. We would have liked to walk more of the grounds and gardens, but the weather put us off. They do look stunning and I'm sure on a better day would have been very enjoyable.

Fantastic to look around. Amazing house and gardens, easily able to spend a full day there and more. I could just look at the tapestries for days! Well worth a visit if you're into history or just beautiful places.

We haven't been here for quite a few years and we're pleasantly surprised, there is a lot more to see and do. The guides were interesting and knowledgeable but not overpowering like at some properties. A very pleasant day out 😁

Expect an expansive estate as the drive from the entrance to the parking lot must be a mile long. This property features two historic buildings: Old Hardwick Hall and the Renaissance style Manse known as Hardwick Hall. Bess of Hardwick was born in the original hall and had it renovated to impress guests in 1587. When her 4th husband died and she came into substantial funds she built the latter and present day manse. We were able to tour both with our National Trust memberships (via Royal Oak Society). One can climb to the top of the Old Hall for a bit of a view of the countryside if the weather is accommodating. There are no handrails, though, so take walking sticks if you think you need support while traversing the original stone steps. The Manse is huge and the tour is quite extensive. It is self guided but volunteers are available for questions. Some unique features are the longest Elizabethan Long Hall in the National Trust holdings. It has 450 year old tapestries hanging on the walls. There are also four noble women tapestries that Bess designed specifically for this house. She was obviously quite a talented woman. There are some gardens along the front and the back of the house, but not a formal designed style like you see on some properties. Parking was in a very large lot a bit of a distance from the entrance. There is a cafe on the grounds that offers a delicious cream tea as well as a myriad of other delights, all reasonably priced.

Amazing staff/volunteers making sure your visit is :) I wish I had noted the name of the lovely lady at the visitors centre who went through the areas I and the dogs could visit. The old hall, gardens and estate are brilliant. We loved our visit ❤️

A wonderful historical place of interest with stunning tapestries. We spent a very happy 3 and a half hours there. Checking out the history of bess's family, with help from the very knowledgeable volunteers. Strolling the gardens and climbing the 127 steps of old Hardwick hall. Then stopping for a very tasty cheese scone and coffee in the restaurant.

Great place to walk over the mountain, enjoy water and have lots of fun. Get ready to spend at least 4 hours. There is parking facility and credit card is accepted. There are toilets for free. Carry food & get ready to walk for kms. Great pleasure ahead.

A beautiful area with plenty of walking, the path along the riverside can be rough in places so mind your step. The walk (fairly steep and loose) up Thorpe Cloud by the stepping stones gives stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Beautiful place, however the natural beauty is spoiled by many who leave behind all their rubbish. Fulled used baby nappies in the car park, left in the parking bay with bins within 20 yards, plastic bottles, crisp packets amongst many. The National Trust staff try their best to litter pick and offer bin bags to large families who set up picnics but there are still many individuals who can't use the bins. Maybe it's a strange concept or maybe they are just dirty, lazy people. This is a national park that should be looked after by all.

One of my favourite places to hike in the Peak District because of how gorgeous it is and how accessible it is for us. The stepping stones are always fun. The climb to Thorpe Cloud is lovely for a great view and very doable with kids. There's a £6 min. charge for parking (unless you have a National Trust membership, in which case it's free). There's a small coffee truck on the car park for refreshments. We tend to take a picnic with is instead.

I visited Dovedale Stepping Stones recently and absolutely loved it.The walk from the car park is short and easy, with gorgeous views of the River Dove all along the way. The stepping stones themselves are such a fun and iconic feature,great for kids and adults alike❤️❤️

Dovedale is a gem of a dale, I as a preference would say it is the best of the Derbyshire dales. It has a very nice river with lots of bird life, you can walk down the whole length. There are stepping stones to cross the river,caves which have been lived in and if you fancy a challenge you can walk to the top of Thorpe Cloud. On coming to the Ilam end there is a national trust car park and cafe. If you carry on into Ilam passed the memorial you get to Ilam Hall which i9part youth hostel and part national trust with a cafe belonging to the national trust,you can also get food from the youth hostel.

Lovely and scenic walking tracks with a no of spots for picnic. Lovely lime stone formations.. The tracks are not wheelchair friendly...

Visiting Wollaton Park was a dream come true for me as a Batman fan. The moment I found out this was the filming location for Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises, I knew I had to see it—and standing there in front of Wollaton Hall honestly left me in awe. The building is absolutely stunning, with its towering windows and intricate stonework. For a moment, it really felt like I was stepping into Bruce Wayne’s world. The park itself is just as beautiful as the Hall. Wide green spaces, autumn leaves scattered across the grass, and peaceful paths made it feel both grand and calm at the same time. I could’ve stayed there for hours just walking around and taking it all in. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. You can tell they care about the place and its history, and they were happy to chat and answer questions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. As a Batman nerd, it felt like a pilgrimage to Wayne Manor. But even if you’re not into Batman, Wollaton Park is still an incredible spot to explore—beautiful, relaxing, and full of character.

Great place to visit. The car park is £5, I paid for this in the shop, giving them my number plate. The park is very extensive but it was fantastic to see the deer so close. The house is fascinating with all the natural history displays. This was £15 but the ticket lasts a year. The gardens were also very nice and the view down to the lake was beautiful. The cafe was ok, not the largest selection of food and the drinks were all served in cardboard drinking cups. All the staff everywhere were very friendly and helpful. The shop was nice to look around and standard prices. The toilet facilities were good and clean. There were some near the cafe and in the house. I definitely recommend a visit. On a warm summers day it would be a lovely place to bring a picnic and make a day of it.

Visited the walled gardens specifically. A wonderful, relaxing and fascinating project to restore the site. Lovely volunteers working at the site and amazing progression being made. Only open set times during the summer for tours. A warm welcome. This is a very special place.

The park is about 500 acres. Many children at the playground, families on picnic rugs, deer wandering through acreage. Camellia House & Wollaton Hall are so different. Enjoyed every moment.

Not the best of days from a weather point of view but certainly from the number of people there. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully on the next visit go around the house. The cafe coffee and smoked bacon baguette was superb imo.

The grounds and lake, as well as the cafe and deli along with the wandering deer are worth the visit for the £5 (£6 at weekends) parking fee. But Wollaton Hall itself is no more than a taxidermist’s museum labouring under the ‘nature conservation’ banner. And at £15 each, not worth it - not our thing, but may be yours. I forgot, the connection to the 2012 Batman Movie, ‘Dark Knight Rising’ where this was Bruce Wayne’s Manor, but this was only mentioned once on an obscure info board.

We had a brilliant day out here. The house is really interesting and all the staff were very knowledgeable and super helpful. The gardens were lovely, as was the church. The cafe and restaurant were great and the shop and book shop were full of tempting goodies. Loved the whole day.

There is a LONG drive to the entrance. Be sure that your GPS takes you to the correct one. Calke Abbey is maintained a bit differently from other National Trust Properties. The Trust chose not to try to bring it back to its original glory, but rather, to leave it in the condition in which it was received, which includes wings of rooms in disrepair. Tour is self guided but volunteers are frequent to offer explanations or answer questions. One of the unique holdings is a state bed made for King George I in 1715. The bed linens were found by the Trust rolled up in the basement. Since they were in perfect condition, the bed is set up as it would have been and preserved behind glass. Another was the caricature room whose walls were covered with humor satirical pictures. I found it to be quite entertaining. The dining room featured some outstanding decor, simply presented. The main entertaining room was filled with glass cabinets loaded with taxidermy. Not my favorite but that is how the family had left it to the Trust. One particular wing has rooms that are in complete disrepair with the ceilings falling, wall paper peeling, and loads of broken furniture haphazardly tossed in the room. Not at all what one would expect while walking through a National Trust Site. Calke Abbey is perfect example of a country estate that was barely held together in the 20th century. Many similar country houses did not survive to tell their story. We are National Trust members (via Royal Oak), so I cannot attest to the cost of entry. Parking lot was within easy walk of the entrance. No reservations were needed.

Had a lovely dog walk around the beautiful grounds of Calke with friends, I can’t believe I’ve never done this before, being fairly local. The gardens were beautifully maintained and the gardener was happy to stop his work and have a chat. There were outhouses with interesting artefacts to see. We walked the tunnel, dogs weren’t quite sure about this, but we loved exploring. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. What a pleasant place to work at. Had a light lunch in the cafe, it was extremely busy, so there was a bit of a wait for the coffees, but by the time the drinks were served, the warm quiche was ready, so perfect timing. There were plenty of dog water bowls dotted around which was good, as it was a hot day. I will return to this national trust gem.

Superb property, that's been kept as the trust found it in its decline. The house has loads of interesting items in it and the room guides are very knowledgeable. The brewhouse tunnels were decorated for Halloween and were good fun. The church is also worth the walk. The usual cafe and giftshop on site.

I came here today with my partner for a couple of hours, sadly didn't take many photos. The restaurant is nice, the gift shop is cute. The house and the tunnel is great too. As a National Trust Member it is great that we get access to this place. Because it rained we didn't end up looking at the gardens/trails. I definitely recommend a National Trust Membership to come here to visit and other places around Derbyshire.

Fascinating " unstable home" Handed to the National TRUST in 1981 in a very run down state. Continues to be preserved as the family left it. Servants tunnels, ancient kitchens, cases of taxidermy, antiques and general decay. Amazing place. Wonderful gardens, great dog walking and lovely cafe. A full day out to explore.

Calke Abbey is a really interesting house to visit as most of it is in it's original state so you can appreciate it as it was. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about the history of the family. Outside there are grass areas and woodland to take a walk and there's a lovely walled garden and cafe area to visit.

This was my 7 yr old daughters first visit to a proper theme park she absolutely loved it. I am not so keen on rollercoasters as I have gotten a bit older, however the roller coasters here, although fast at twisty, did not feel like they were trying to fling you out of the atmosphere. Very enjoyable rides, and my daughter is already itching to go back, and also eager to try something bigger and faster. The whole family enjoyed the small zoo which is there also. The Red Panda, Gibbons and Meerkats were the favourites.

Our family had the most wonderful stay-and-play experience at Drayton Manor Resort, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! My wife, our 5-year-old son, and I visited recently during their Halloween special, and it was a magical experience from start to finish. Everything — from the themed décor to the warm hospitality — made it one of the best family getaways we’ve ever had. The highlight of our trip was, without a doubt, the Thomas Land theme park. Our little boy is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan, and seeing his face light up when we entered was priceless. He absolutely loved riding on the Thomas-themed trains, meeting his favourite characters, and exploring all the fun rides designed especially for younger children. The park was beautifully decorated for Halloween with pumpkins, friendly ghosts, and cheerful seasonal music, creating a festive yet family-friendly atmosphere. Every corner had something new to discover, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the experience enjoyable for both kids and parents. We also stayed overnight in one of the Thomas & Friends-themed rooms, and it was simply amazing. The attention to detail was outstanding — from the Thomas bedding and wall art to the little touches that made our son feel like he was sleeping in Sodor itself. He was so thrilled that he didn’t want to go to bed, and the next morning, he didn’t want to leave! In fact, he kept asking if we could stay “just one more night” so he could go back to Thomas Land again. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food options were great, and everything was clean, well-organized, and family-oriented. Overall, Drayton Manor Resort is a dream destination for families, especially those with young children. We created some truly special memories and can’t wait to visit again — maybe next time for Christmas or summer!

New entertainment, more atmosphere, and an incredible Halloween theming, and the light and firework show last night 😱. We have had a brilliant year and look forward to Christmas! We had a wonderful day at Drayton Manor! The rides were fantastic, and we were pleasantly surprised by how many of the thrill rides our children were able to go on. The Halloween entertainment was excellent — our children especially loved the trick-or-treating experience. There was great entertainment and a fun atmosphere all around the park, with lively music adding to the Halloween spirit. The park itself was really quiet, so we were able to walk straight onto most rides, which was a huge bonus. All the staff were super friendly and really embraced the Halloween theme, which made the day even more enjoyable. We had lunch at Safari Pizza, and the family deal was great value for money. Later, we treated ourselves to Halloween milkshakes and a Halloween waffle while watching the water show — both were delicious and again, very reasonably priced. The water show was a lovely extra touch that we all really enjoyed. The zoo was another nice addition to the day, and it was lovely to see how well cared-for the animals looked. A few rides, like the rapids and the pirate ship, were closed, but honestly, we wouldn’t have had time to fit them in anyway — there was so much else to do! It’s a shame we don’t live closer, as we would definitely buy an annual pass. However, we’re already planning to return soon for the Christmas celebrations 😀 thanks !

Loved the Halloween theme. The park was not very busy. We had fast passes but didn’t have to use them. It’s great that they allow you to use the fast passes at a later date.

Drayton Manor is perfect for children up to about 13, or for teens who prefer medium size coasters. My pre teen enjoyed all the rides, it was the perfect fear level for her. There are 5 big rides, plenty of medium size rides and loadsss of little rides for toddlers. The theme was Halloween and the whole place was decorated lovely! We didn't get chance to visit the zoo, but we will definitely be back to do it all over again and make sure we save time for the zoo.

I did the stay and play offer for myself and my son. We had a free room upgrade when we arrived which was lovely. Included in our stay were two days entry to the park, fast track passes for rides, free parking and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. The park itself was tidy. Wait times for some rides were long, especially The Wave! Took ages for them to load the trains , giving half the train to fast track and half to regular waiting customers, just felt wrong considering how long we were waiting. Great for younger children with the Thomas land. My son is 17 and we still had an amazing time.

Came here to watch Pink Floyd Dark side of the Moon in the planetarium. The show was one of the best I've ever seen. Amazing atmosphere in the planetarium. The visuals and sounds were perfect. We also had a good look around the space centre itself. Properly cool place with absolutely loads for kids and adults to do and see. Very educational and we will be bringing our kids to have a look. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely do it again

The NSC is an amazingly well curated museum with interactive elements and immersive shows in the Patrick Moore Planetarium inside, shows last 25mins. They even have a real rocket! and you can take a lift to see it from above. It's well suited to kids and adults (we never grow up really) and you can touch space objects and interact with some scientific tools and even play some games to test your astronaut potential! I spent 2ish hours there and there's still more that I didn't get a chance to experience. Tickets were £20 & that gets you an annual pass. The cafe they have is great too, they do hot food and good coffee and even an awesome giftshop! You gotta go :]

The National Space Centre is a fascinating place for both children and adults. It’s especially engaging for Generation Y and millennials, showcasing the Cold War era, the development of technology, and the first steps in space exploration in an immersive way. You can step inside a Mercury capsule, see how astronauts eat and live, and even sit in a period-style room to feel the thrill of watching a rocket launch to the Moon on a vintage glass screen. The planetarium, presented as an animated journey, is truly impressive – even for adults. It’s a wonderful centre for both learning and fun, and the best part is that with just one ticket you can return all year round. Highly recommended! 🚀✨

Where do I start. The place was amazing. The staff and the exhibits were exceptional. So much great information to digest and lots of things for little ones and bigger little ones to do. There were a lot of people in, but it never felt packed. The cinema show was brilliant and way more immersing than we thought it would be. The gift shop had a great collection of toys as well as interesting gifts specific to the Space center. A great day out and it would've recieved 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor cafe that was let down by a lack of choice and the cleaning of the eating/utensil areas which was really poor. The staff serving were great super friendly on all departments but the eating areas were disappointing. Still won't stop another visit to this wondrous place.

Located north of Leicester city centre, the National Space Centre is an amazing day out for kids and adults of all ages. Filled with interactive and educational activities, award winning shows on immersive 360 degree screen, and lots more to see and do. Super helpful and attentive staff, great gift shop, lots of space to sit. Buy ticket online for free annual pass upgrade without hassle. Kids could spend the whole day in here to learn and play. Bring your own lunch to avoid weekend and peak time queues.

This visit has been a long time coming, after trudging the M1 for three decades and seeing the brown sign for the National Space Centre I finally found time to visit, and it was no disappointment in the slightest. Many facts and exhibits tie into loads of classic films, articles and milestones from over the years and lots for the kids to learn about along the way. A great day out and at the moment (summer 2025) the artists elephants are all around Leicester. The planetarium is incredible! Please go and enjoy one of the midlands great attractions that you might have missed.

I been there for first time, lovely place with many different views. I can see there is a plenty space for car parking. Amazing location with foods, and gifts. I was so happy and excited to be there and to be part of this. I will share few videos and photos from this amazing place. Highly recommend.

It was great to see so many vehicles designed and built in Britain, but suddenly, to see the decline, even though it's been that way for a while, was a little depressing. Great experience though. The kids (2-7yo's) loved it too. Particularly the land speed cars at the end. Tickets are valid for a year so can go back again and again.

This experience is truly exceptional and perfect for the entire family. There is a lot to take in here. If you have children (currently Children 5-16 £8-£9, Under 4 s free - but cheaper with GO CV 2025) then it is filled with activities for them to do. I think it is always like this - not just during school holidays when I visited. There is a good range of locally built cars, bikes and motor cycles. The Jaguar 'section' brings a modernity to the historical units here, as does the Land Speed Record Thrusts 1 and 2. I was hoping to see a Jaguar C or D type but sadly not here. There are a few tractors, light military vehicles, trucks and buses, but the vast majority of the displays are cars and (motor) bikes and cycles'. The Triumph / 1970's / 80s sections were good - the range is fairly narrow as they are Coventry or locally built models. I couldn't quite get why there were some examples from Birmingham and surrounding areas - there were a lot missing if that's the rationale. Still, better to see them than not. It isn't as big as I thought from the outside. I like to see inside the vehicles but there were a lot where I couldn't do this, partly because of the way they were displayed - maybe not enough room? I think it was the unpainted monocoque shell of a Jaguar XJ220 hanging vertically - but I couldn't see any info on that. Signage was generally OK. The basic floor plan map (attached) could do with a bit more detail I thought, as could some of the displays. The 4D simulator wasn't working on my visit (30th Oct 2025) However, apart from the small bits of nit-picking above, there were so many interesting things to see. There were several unexpected delights too. Cars using fabric instead of metal, cut-aways of cars and car parts, some really unique cars, the 85th anniversary Blitz section, a huge collection of model die-casts (e.g. Matchbox) and much more. Definitely worth the entrance price - which is cheaper if booked online. The ticket is valid for readmission for a year. So, maybe when I come back (and I will) I will get to try the 4D simulator. I had intended to adopt a vehicle(!), but for £100 a year, that didn't seem good value on inspection. I also had a coffee at Baxter Baristas (enclosed in the museum. It was pretty good. The home-made cakes looked tempting too. The toilet facilities only seemed accessible if you used the cafe? I parked very close-by at Bishop Street Car Park CV1 1JN. Cash - i.e. change, or app only. A reasonable price for a heavily pot-holed lot. Not sure if there are any security cameras here - certainly not visible. No directions to the museum from here though and about a 4 minute walk.

Easily a must see if visiting Coventry. I'm personally not a huge car fanatic, but there's no other place where you're gonna get to see the two fastest land vehicles ever made. That alone is worth the visit. Tickets are £15 if booked in advance and a around £16.50 if booked in-person on the day (for adults). However, while the ticket is valid for multiple entries for a span of 1 year either way, I'd recommend booking online in advance simply because it's cheaper.

Brilliant vehicle museum devoted to products made in Coventry or nearby. Huge collection very well presented. Interactive section for smaller children. Cars, bikes, motorbikes, lorries, armoured cars, buses, fire engines and the world's fastest cars.

Great museum, with lots of interesting cars and bikes from all times. Including the record-breaking Thrust 2 and similar vehicles. Takes around 2 hours to finish the whole museum, take that into consideration when parking your car. The one day tickets are only available for Coventry residents.

Interesting museum showcasing the various forms of transport originating in and around Coventry. So, not as much scope as some in terms of makers but does include both motorcycles and cars, trucks and buses - plus bicycles.

This was a late in the season visit. Not all the attractions and vendor stands were open. It did not spoil the visit. The best attraction was the falconry quest. The birds were amazing and the handlers ensured that everyone was buzzed by a bird. The barn owls was majestic and graceful. The peregrine falcon was fast and precise. When looking up at the condor as it flew over was awesome. At the end of the show I couldn't tell you what the birds were, but the sky was full. It was amazing, worth the 3 hour drive for this. The horrible histories maze was fun and informative. There are peacocks everywhere. Other wildlife in abundance squirrel's, Robin's and ducks. There are plenty of seating and concession stands. There are plenty of staff who are helpful. Yes there are a lot of areas accessible for wheelchair users but it is hilly in places.

The knights lodge was big enough for 3 of us nicely dressed with a modern bathroom- breakfast was good too - I'd recommend as a short stay. Castle speaks for itself don't miss the dungeon tour - absolutely brilliant my son is 8 and loved it best £6 pp I think iv ever spent

Had a fantastic day with my dad. Birds of prey are fantastic! Really loved seeing them! Lots to see and do. Lot's of choice of food and drink. It's well worth the money. The car park has plenty of space. It's a good day out for the family or just going your own. The castle was really good! Something for everyone. 😁👍. Plenty of toliets. Clean.

Absolutely amazing visit to the castle for Halloween!! The special touches everywhere for Halloween were super fun. It was a great day out with the family with lots of performances, some Karaoke, plenty of food options and lovely views from the top of the towers. Definitely a must visit!!

My friend and I had a wonderful day at Warwick Castle. Such beautiful grounds and such an interesting place to visit. We loved the guides tours, so engaging and informative. The bird of prey show was absolutely outstanding.

We visited Bletchley Park today and had an absolutely fantastic day exploring this incredible piece of history. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. We were greeted at the entrance barrier by Jake, who gave us a lovely warm welcome — full of good humour and friendly banter — the perfect start to the day. Inside, every member of staff and volunteer we met was just as friendly and engaging. Their enthusiasm for the site and its history really brought the stories of The Codebreakers to life. A particular highlight for me was the Radio Team, who were exceptional. They not only explained the radio technologies and the process behind them in fascinating detail but even offered me a chance to have a go myself! Their knowledge and passion were infectious and added so much to the visit. We took our time exploring the Mansion, the huts, and the surrounding grounds — everything was beautifully presented and full of atmosphere. The attention to historical authenticity and the care taken in preserving the story of Bletchley’s wartime legacy was evident everywhere. The Gift Shop was excellent too, well-stocked with books, souvenirs, and thoughtful keepsakes. I was thrilled to find a book I’d owned as a child (a long time ago now!) — something I never expected to see again. All in all, it was a day filled with learning, nostalgia, and wonderful interactions with passionate people. A truly memorable visit, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars without hesitation.

Excellent museum to visit, very good & humorous tour guide - Robert - entertained and informed us for an hour in the heat of the afternoon - really brought the place to life. I paid the night before & the ticket allows unlimited further visits for 12 months. Loved the sound effects in the outside areas. Great ice cream 🍦 kiosk. A smartly presented and well thought out museum, recommended.

An amazing place and well worth a visit. The guides are all volunteers who give their time and expertise completely free of charge. In my opinion this makes them even more valuable to the whole experience and definitely worth listening to if you can get on one of their guided tours. Your entry ticket will allow you to return as many times as you like with a year of your first visit, completely free of charge, and you’ll need it as there so much to see and learn.

This is an amazing Living Musuem of history. The splendid work both highly intellectual people accomplished, together with every day men and women during WW2 is shown here. Without this secret team WW2 may not have ended when it did and with the British victorious. There is so much so see we needed 3 day visits. When you purchase your ticket you get a year to return and Thank Goodness for that.

After having heard so much about this place we finally made the long journey to visit. There was a barrier at the entrance, reminding one of the fact that this was once a secret military establishment. There is much to see over several buildings. We joined a guided walk which was useful with much information about this history of the site. The main museum is where the story of the code breakers is told and there is much to see and read related to this significant work done during the Second World War. It is significant to see how most of the work was done by women.

Interesting visit to learn more about the WW2 Codebreakers and see the technology they used. Informative and entertaining video presentations. Friendly staff and good interactive displays. Quite expensive at £28 pp (we won't be going back in the next year even though the ticket says you can) and disappointed that the museum of computing was another £10 each next door. The website says the cafes have gluten free options but they didn't have any gf cakes or sandwiches, only a main meal.

An amazing time in our countrys' history, remarkable work carried out by extraordinary people. We learnt a great deal more about the events that occurred there than we previously knew. Definitely worth visiting, as your entry tickets are valid for 12 months multiple visits.

Bicester Village is a fantastic destination for luxury and premium brand shopping. The place offers a wide selection of high-end and well-known brands, all set in a beautiful and clean environment. Both the exterior and interior designs of each store are meticulously crafted, adding to the overall pleasant shopping experience. The only downside during my visit was the lack of particularly attractive discounts, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, overall, it was a great place to shop and explore.

Bicester Village is a nice designer outlet that features most of the well-known luxury brands. However, I couldn’t find many good deals, most prices were almost the same as regular market prices, and many of the items seemed to be older collections that didn’t sell well. The design of the village is beautiful, though. It’s very clean and pleasant to walk around, with charming little streets and lovely store façades. The place isn’t very large, so you can explore it in a few hours. There are only a couple of restaurants, so dining options are limited, but the big parking area is definitely convenient. Overall, it’s a peaceful and stylish place to visit for a short walk and some window shopping, but not necessarily the best destination if you’re looking for real outlet bargains

Absolutely loved it, definitely worth a visit especially if you’re into shopping. Might not be as fun if you’re not into shopping. Lots of designer and high end brands at discounts prices, *discounted* not cheap. All the shops look really nice especially during the Christmas period. Nice and easy to walk around, shops are all next door to one another kind of like on a parade.

Visited recently for a shopping day out and had a very enjoyable time overall. Bicester Village offers lots of high-end brand outlets, making it a premium destination for luxury and designer shopping. You’ll find major names like Gucci, Prada, Burberry, and many more — definitely a paradise for fashion lovers! The atmosphere is great — beautifully designed, open-air, and feels classy yet welcoming. We were so busy shopping that we completely forgot to take any photos! One thing that really stood out was how well the parking situation was managed. As we were about to reach the Village, we noticed clear signage informing us that the main parking was full and directing us to an alternate parking location. There was also a free Park & Ride bus service available, which was super convenient and very well organized. The only downside was the long queues outside some of the popular stores, which took up quite a bit of time. It would be great if they could introduce an appointment or token system to help manage the crowd and make the experience smoother. Overall, a fantastic shopping destination with a wide range of luxury brands, good facilities, and a pleasant vibe — just be ready for some waiting during busy times. We’ll definitely be visiting again!

Very busy but really nice shops. We can find a lot of deals most of the time. Really enjoyed going there. Finding parking is always a challenge but with persistence we can find a spot. Good few spot to eat. Highly recommended for designer shopping

Amazing place! Its been many years since I was last there and its nice that more things have been added in that time. Went during the dark arts time and was fun to see the death eather preforming at different locations around the studio. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter! The lay out is brilliant and just getting to see how it was all made is amazing.

Where do I start! Absolutely amazing experience. A must visit for all the potter heads out there. Being a core fan of the book, the movie sets was truly a visual treat. I visited during the Dark Arts theme right after Halloween. The entire tour looked like a carefully planned adventure. The atmosphere felt do lively - kudos to the employees and the guides. A kind employee even took my picture (I was on a solo trip!). I saw the butter beer had mixed reviews. But I personally devoured it. It was refreshing after a long walk. Food was alright, not a fan of the unsalted fries. Some spaces did feel a bit rushed, specially people pushing and hovering around impatiently. Could see the kids engaging a lot with the sets. The photo booths are cute, however felt like a rip-off to have a poster print for £20! Considering the high turnaround rate, they could reduce the price. The broom videos looked a bit tacky but would be a fun try out for kids. Loved the small performance by the Death Eaters who kindly let us take pictures together! Cried myself through the pricey souvenirs, but the butter beer packs were a steal! For folks who can’t find the tickets during the holidays, keep checking every single day twice. I got mine on a random day check, and snagged it right away! They were kind enough to swap me to a different slot (which I found again), without additional charges! Overall worth every penny!

We had arranged a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio for our daughter’s birthday, as she’s crazy about Harry Potter. We were greeted by Menaka at the ticket collection counter. She was incredible!! 😃 Super friendly and charismatic in every way, and a true potterhead too! Our daughter was fully engaged in conversation with Menaka who shared all the wonderful things to look out for whilst on the tour. We gained tips on how to manage our time during the tour, which took 5 hours in total, including a break at the Butterbeer Bar. Menaka also gave our girl a birthday badge and several other goodies, which truly delighted her. We were amazed by the genuine kindness shown to make our daughter feel special 💓 We had arrived over an hour earlier than our scheduled tour time, so Menaka encouraged us to enjoy lunch in the Food Hall. We loved it! All dishes were very tasty and generous in portion, so we were fully prepared for the grand tour 🤩 As a birthday girl, our daughter was given the special privilege to open the door to Hogwarts! 🎉 From then on, the tour was outstanding. Spectacular sets, fun green screen experience and entertaining death eater performances. Beware of the Dementors and Acromantulas in the forbidden forest! 😨 Overall, a superb day out made extra special by all staff members, though Menaka was our favourite!! 🌟

Went on the small group tour. We were meant to skip queues but we didn't skip the queue we just skipped the bit we were going to see. But it was still worth it to get all the amazing little facts that the guide gave us. We went when it was hogwarts in winter. The food here is super expensive! You can take tour own food but i felt like it was part of the experience so just went with it. Remember to get your free passport so you can get your stamps as you go round 👍 The tour was 4hrs with a 1hr break. We went back in so in total spent 6hrs there and definitely could have spent longer. Take your time and make sure you make the most out of the full day.

We visited on a weekend, expecting it to be busy, but boy were we surprised at exactly how busy it was going to be. After a fair bit of queuing and somewhat rude security personnel at the bag check, we finally got through! The whole complex is huge and be prepared for a lot of time walking, standing and walking some more (reminded me of Disneyland) to get anywhere. However, it is really worth it once you can get over this and that is speaking as someone who isn't a huge HP fan. The work on display is amazing and the attention to detail so very impressive. The displays are well thought out, but do make sure you can stomach the high price of food and gifts!

It is definitely one of the MUST VISIT places when you are in London or around. You will LOVE it.

The road to the zoo is a bit narrow and winding, and driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side made it even more unusual. This is a truly small family-oriented zoo with an interesting selection of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed the visit. I was especially excited to see capybaras and meerkats. Personally, it was also fascinating to observe the visitors — many families with two or more children. The food was decent, but because of the strong wind and too many wasps outside, the experience was mixed. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and it was great all round. The entire place is very well designed and in good condition. We tried food at a few of the outlets and all were good quality tasting food - not amazing but not the typical greasy nonsense you get. It’s good that you can walk around each area multiple times and in different directions so you really feel like you get the most out of your ticket. Price wise was good, about average and like I said there is plenty to do when inside. All the animals we saw looked happy, no concerns there.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too. It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

Great zoo, loved the red panda experience, keeper was very friendly and informative in answering any questions I had. Loved getting to see the two red pandas being introduced to each other. Got good views of the animals, some of the viewing windows were quite wet with condensation which blocked views but not much to be done about that. Lots of kids so was quite noisy but think I came in the school holidays. Only negative was one of the jaguars was pacing around a lot in its enclosure, hopefully it was just waiting for food or something like that and not stressed. Got Uber easily to/from the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

A really good day out. I went with my sister and my two teenagers and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. The theming, informative signs, viewing areas/platforms and eateries were very good. Of course the wonderful animals were the highlight and I can recommend attending the bird show! At the end of the day we even had a train ride around the dinosaur area for £2 each, which ended the day nicely.

A family favourite. My son was two when we went and he loved the dinosaurs section even though I was worried he was too young, there are some bits that are slightly gruesomely but you can quickly go past them. It’s good fun and you can then go to the zoo and look at the animals. It’s very well organised and clean. Limited option for food and as with any of these venues, it’s overpriced for the quality you get.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination with a great variety of animals and interactive zones. The enclosures are well maintained , highlights include the lions, camels, and alpacas, all easy to view up close. The “World of Animals” and “Tumble Jungle” soft play area add extra fun for kids, with clearly scheduled play sessions. The zoo is clean, well signposted, and offers a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect day out for families with young children!

First time visiting and was blown away at the history and beauty of the Castle, the church and grounds. The town is charming as well. This is a must see, easy trip via overland train from London. Get the audio tour headsets as it’s included and will make the experience worthwhile.

Its an english castle. Well kept. I Its slightly less for value of money. Would advice to buy tickets in advance as that will save money. If you are visiting multiple castles throughout UK, kindly buy a pass for them as that will be cheaper rather than buying tickets at every castle. No pictures allowed inside.

Its a very nice castle to visit with a lot of interesting weapons and armour. The security section is a bit unorganised and chaotic but otherswise a great place to visit. The audio guide is great. Staff is nice.

What a beautiful castle. The tour is well planned and if you love the monarchy and the queen/king things you will be blown away by this gorgeous place. Just don’t forget to book tickets in advance, take the audio guide with you and enjoy a little touch to royal family’s life.

We took the day trip to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Steve, was wonderful, he is incredibly knowledgeable and funny. I also want to give a big shout out to our coach driver Carlos who made sure we got to each location in a timely manner. ​Steve shared so many interesting facts, especially at Bath and Windsor Castle my favorite stop. It's a lot to see in one day, but Steve managed the schedule perfectly. Lunch at La cock was a nice touch and very delicious. ​Seeing all these iconic sites in one go was unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour!

The castle is quite large, especially the Royal Apartments, which include many rooms. You should allow around four hours to explore everything calmly and take it all in, and that’s even without taking photos, since photography and video recording inside the apartments are unfortunately not allowed. The castle grounds are beautiful, with lovely trees and a small park. You can also see the royal guards outside, who seem to change several times a day, marching across the castle grounds. We visited on a rainy day, and although the weather wasn’t ideal, there were still quite a few visitors. I highly recommend taking the audio guide, it’s available in several languages and gives an excellent explanation of each building, room, and painting. In the guidebook, the tour starts with the Royal Apartments and then continues to St. George’s Chapel, but in reality, the chapel seems more logical to visit first, as most people turn left rather than going straight uphill to the apartments. Perhaps this is because there aren’t many clear signs outside indicating the order of the route, unlike inside the Royal Apartments, where the directions are very well organized. Because of this, the route can feel a bit confusing, or maybe it was just because we were rushing to find shelter from the heavy rain, as we didn’t have umbrellas. There are several souvenir shops on the castle grounds and a café where you can buy official chocolate, keychains, magnets, books, toys, coins, jewelry, and beautifully designed pens and pencils. From the windows of the Royal Apartments, there’s a truly stunning panoramic view of the inner garden, which, unfortunately, is closed to visitors. The bushes are perfectly trimmed, genuinely royal. We arrived at the castle around 11:00 a.m. and stayed until about 2:45 p.m. Online tickets cost £31, but since it was a Monday in November, there were no queues, so we bought ours on-site for £35 per adult. Before entering, there’s a security check at the gate. Overall, the castle is absolutely worth visiting, a perfect trip for one or one and a half days. The town itself has a great variety of restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops. The train station is right in the centre, about a five-minute walk away. Everything is within walking distance, our hotel was just 10 minutes from the castle, which was perfect, as after dinner in town we could enjoy a short walk back. Since the castle stands right in the heart of the town, there are hotels just across the street, but even those located a bit further away are still very convenient and charming. Parking could be improved, as in most tourist towns in England. We checked several public car parks, with daily rates between £22 and £28. Our hotel had its own secure parking area behind the building, gated and monitored, for £20 per day. It might be worth checking some higher-end hotels, as a few of them may offer free parking, though such options are quite limited.

Fascinating visit, it's everything you expect it to be! £35 for an adult ticket which includes an audio tour. Well organised and the staff are efficient and friendly. Amazing to finally see how the royal family live in the castle and the history is incredible .

We visited Legoland on a Sunday afternoon and stayed in one of the woodland lodges before a full day in the park. The process of booking the stay was fairly convoluted on the website, but from that point, there were clear instructions and links for all our passes, which were very handy to have on the official app! Sunday in the park was manic and not at all quiet, with 40 min queues for all the main rides (including the underwhelming Dragon rollercoaster). Flight of the sky lion is a great ride, but please sort the queue system out for people with the fast access pass (some of which have paid extra). We waited longer in this queue than people were in the standard entry! I don't think the clearly hungover lad running it could cope with figuring out what to do. The site is quite sprawling and despite there being a train that runs from the entrance into the middle of the park, it isn't always in operation, so prepare for the walk back up the winding hill! Food offerings are standard over-priced fried theme park fare unfortunately, with little imagination in the variety on offer. Breakfast at the woodland lodge clubhouse was fairly decent on the other hand. Our lodge was clean and spacious, with the skylight projector in the kids room being a nice touch. The treasure hunt also went down a treat. You might want to take earplugs though, as the Heathrow flight path is directly above, so sleep was fairly limited to the hours of 11pm -5am. It could be so much better in places, but overall it was still an enjoyable outing that was worth checking out.

Great theme park, I enjoyed the rides, we didn’t wait to wait too long to get onto the rides and there was 2 that we did a couple of times. Kids loved it. The Lego mini land was great, loads to see and a lot of detail gone into it. Food was expensive but always is at these places. We’d happily return!

Bad: Rides waiting time: I'm starting with bad because I want people to first know what they are getting into so they can make a better decision. The rides have massive queues, the resort is not very organised in terms of crowd management. The queues are massive, like there's at least 60 minute of waiting for almost all the rides, unless you have ultimate ride pass forget about managing to do even 3-4 rides in a day. And their opening times are only 10-5, which is definitely not enough for the money you pay. I had ultimate pass and still I couldn't do all the rides and it felt such a stretch - is it worth the money though : absolutely. As we didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for any rides. But it's ot for people who can't afford to pay for those passes. Food: If you are vegetarian, forget about eating here, not many options to eat, a Pizza place, that's beyond expensive £23-£24pp - with very limited vegetarian options, a burger place that does serve vegetarian burger, and the waffles place can't handle crowds and they close the shop when they can't handle the load. Face paint: rude staff and poor face painting skills Good: ultimate pass is rhe best way to enjoy the park, we loved all the rides we took. Miniland is awesome and so is their train. Staff is helpful (if you find them).

Visited Legoland with my two kids (1 and 4 years old) and we had a really good day out. Went during school time so there were hardly any queues, which was great! The park was clean and tidy with plenty to see and do to fill the day. Not much for the 1-year-old, but our 4-year-old loved it and went on lots of rides. Overall a fun family day out and would definitely go again when they’re a bit older.

The kids absolutely loved it. It was definitely a fun outing that everyone in our group really enjoyed. The ride times generally seemed to work out pretty well, and you can definitely make a great day out of it if the weather stays nice. The pizza and pasta buffet was efficient and there was plenty of food to go around.

Had a really good time with my 2 daughters. They both enjoyed the experience. Seeing how much stuff was built out of bricks was awesome. Some really good rides. Had to queue a bit but expected on a busy day. Would definitely recommend and 100% come back again

A very nice amusement park. It needs some social spaces/facilities like cafes or restaurants. Theme park is nice. Mini land is very cheerful area. Priority parking is extremely convenient but general parking is a bit far, consider this if you have any mobility difficulties.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

A Must-see Museum! You can literally feel the history of the world here. It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! The British Museum is truly timeless. It was my fourth visit, yet it still felt magical. My kids loved the Egyptian mummies — their excitement was contagious! As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Entry is free, but booking online helps you get in faster. This museum isn’t just about history — it’s about humanity, memory, and reflection. A must-visit for anyone coming to London.

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

The ride is smooth and lasts long enough to really enjoy the scenery. Queues can get a bit long during peak hours, but they move quickly and are well-organized. Staff were friendly and the capsules were clean and comfortable. Definitely worth it, especially around sunset!

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Absolutely awesome place, went when the poppy display was on for the memorial. Got to see everything, crown jewels, the tower of London and other surrounding buildings. Was a brilliant day out. Highly recommended A+++

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

After waiting in a queue for more than 2 1/2 hours, just to get into the park, to then only get on 4 rides in 7 hours was a really big disappointment, especially after paying £40 for a ticket 🎟. To fast track 1 ride per person was an extra £16 each but was still no solid guarantee to be that much quicker in the mile long queues for rides, so unfortunately, my first, and no doubt, last ever visit to Thorpe Park, was massively disappointing to say the least. Bring on the day, a paying customers satisfaction and experience are prioritised over how much money 💰 they can make, and gladly take from us, each day.

The attraction was amazing. We went for fright night and the actors where so nice. Creature campus looked after my niece for me when I went on a ride with my boys because she wasnt feeling up to it and sung happy birthday to her which made her feel so happy to be there. I really recommend coming its a great day out with the family and definitely come for fright night. The food was amazing 100% recommend food. Staff was great. Actors amazing. Survival games scare maze breathe takingly amazing although sometimes you do get split up from the group. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy and the ride queues weren't really long. The actors remembered my niece all through the night and everytime we saw them they would say hello. Also Connie and rattlesnack and all the Frank's are so wonderful and nice. My niece's name is bethany.

Visited on Sunday, 2 November 2025 and had a great day overall. The atmosphere and theming were brilliant. Hyperia was stunning, though both my friend and I (in our thirties) had neck pain after one ride and ended up taking paracetamol, so it might be worth reviewing comfort. One staff member at the curry outlet was unnecessarily rude when I asked her to repeat herself, which took the shine off things. The small Stranger Things shed looked amazing - I would love to see that expanded into a full attraction in the future!

Queues were pretty crazy, 1 hour just to get in! 1 hour minimum for a ride, 2 hours+ for hyperia, if you didn't have a fast pass. Was impressed with the vegan options for food though! Also there are quite a few electric charging points in the car park, which are compatible with the octopus electroverse cars

An amazing theme park, compact and easy to get around, so many extreme rides. Great for teenagers and up, no so for little ones. But be prepared for very long queues if you go on a weekend and in the holidays... try not to, pull a sick day and go in the week! 😅

First time doing fright night at any of the parks. Great atmosphere, decent scare mazes, and riding rollercoasters in the dark was my favourite theme park experience ever. Well worth the money considering the extended opening times.

Thorpe Park is built for thrill seekers. Adult tickets bought in advance start at around thirty-three pounds, but if you pay on the day the price can jump to about sixty-six, so planning ahead makes a real difference. The park is always busy, especially on weekends and school holidays, and while the atmosphere is energetic and lively, the crowds also mean queues can stretch for a long time on the most popular rides!! The rides themselves are the main draw and they don’t disappoint. Hyperia, the new record-breaking coaster, is a breathtaking mix of speed and airtime, while Stealth launches you from zero to motorway speeds in under two seconds. The Swarm twists and dives with enough inversions to leave you grinning or disoriented, and Colossus still holds its charm with ten back-to-back loops, even if it’s a little rougher than newer designs. Water rides like Tidal Wave break things up nicely and are especially refreshing in summer, though almost every major attraction demands patience in the queues. Food inside the park is a mixed experience: there’s plenty of choice, from pizza and wraps to fish and chips, but prices are predictably high, with meals ranging from seven to twenty pounds and more premium sit-down options at the hotel restaurant going higher still. Quality varies but is usually decent, and bringing a few snacks or a refillable water bottle can save money. By the time you leave, tired and likely a little lighter in the wallet, the buzz of the rides and the sheer adrenaline rush usually make the day feel worth it — it’s an experience that delivers thrills in abundance, even if it comes at a price. Far too scary for me .
