Flims Laax Falera

Mentioned on
6 lists
Ski resort
Outdoor Activities
Laax, along with its neighboring towns Flims and Falera, collectively form the Weisse Arena ski area. This winter resort offers a variety of runs suitable for all skill levels and features several terrain parks. In the summer, Laax transforms into a hub for biking and walking activities. The area boasts approximately 220 kilometers of high-altitude slopes catering to beginners as well as expert snowboarders.
Enjoyable Skiing Experience at Laax Laax is a truly beautiful ski resort with a lot to offer. It boasts fantastic facilities including a great fun park, a well-designed pro park, and a beginner-friendly park. For convenience, there are tow lifts at two smaller parks, while the larger P60 park features a chairlift and a small lift after the halfpipe. The pistes on the glacier are simply stunning and are meticulously groomed. However, the weather can change rapidly, and occasionally skiers may find themselves in a cloud, limiting visibility. But when the weather is clear, it's truly a dream come true. Compared to Austria, Laax tends to be less crowded, providing a more relaxed atmosphere for skiing. In terms of pricing, a ski pass costs around 110 Swiss francs, as the ski card needs to be purchased and there's no deposit refund since the card cannot be returned. For those with a lift ticket, a day on the slopes costs approximately 100 francs per day, If you don't buy a weekly or seasonal tariff. Access to the mountain is convenient, with three valley stations providing access to the Galaaaxy mainstation. Overall, Laax offers an enjoyable skiing experience with a variety of slopes and amenities to suit skiers of all levels. Laax also offers the convenience of its own app, making it easier for visitors to access information about the resort, including lift status, weather updates, trail maps, and even real-time updates on events and activities happening in the area. This handy tool adds an extra layer of convenience to the overall skiing experience at Laax, ensuring visitors can make the most out of their time on the mountain.

Excellent ski resort, high enough to ensure excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Relatively expensive compared to Austria or Italy, but you can enjoy almost free pistes, few skiers there. Easy access from the motorway.

Great place for ski, although a lot of flat parts which is can be annoying for snowboarders. Breathtaking viewes, good slopes preparation, snow cannons are in operation. Second half of season n February-March gives nice opportunities for free ride and a lot of off-piste routes, earlier snow coverage is not enough. Only disappointment - you can buy ticket only online where only two payment types are accepted - wish that they enable PayPal and other wide-spread options (limitation due to corona, last year it was possible to buy ticket at place)
Natalia K — Google review
Small resort with one stop services in main drop off cable car station. Themed with movie and films interior decor. View is amazing during our visit where sunshine is abundant. Would suggest for more experienced skiiers compared to novices. Main entrance is humble and nested amidst the small boutique hotels. Will be great if they can have clear directions from main road so that first timers can find way easily.
Jez L — Google review
+ excellent terrains for skiing, beautiful nature - high "DYNAMICS" prices (getting more expensive for example with good weather but you must pay full high price even if half the resort is closed) ... waiting time is high (you can pay EXTRA for "Blue line" special corridor to get ahead of the queue ... THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR PHILOSOPHY
Radek T — Google review
As a Colorado (U.S.) native, I'm not going to say that the skiing/ snowboarding was great (very packed, icy terrain & thats why I say 4 stars) 😅 but the views more than made up for that. We also just happened to go the weekend of the final smowboarding qualifier for the '22 Olympics, so the atmosphere was AWESOME! I'm not sure if it was a special occasion or its always a party, but the building at the top of the mountain was such a DOPE vibe with a DJ and absolutely amazing sound system 🙌 The weather just happen to be very warm & sunny, so our favorite part was drinking a beer and listening to great music, soaking up sunshine & enjoying the breathtaking views. It was the best part of our Switzerland 🥰. I can honestly say that we'd come back to Laax if we get another chance to visit 🇨🇭 P.S. This resort was recommended to us by a friend of ours who's a German native. He says he usually snowboards in Austria, but if he were to be on Switzerland, he would choose Laax.🤷🏼‍♀️ Hope that helps!
Sammi B — Google review
It was a very nice expirience. The Gondel / Cabelcars were nice. The chair lift was also very comfortable because it had a cushion. But honestly the best part was the restaurant. I ordered a calamari and it was one of the best ones that I've had. 5/5 easily

Caumasee

Lake
Nature & Parks
Bodies of Water
Caumasee, also known as the jewel of Flims, is a stunning mountain lake surrounded by tall trees and offering a beautiful beach area. The crystal-clear turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and canoeing. Access to the lake is convenient, just 15 minutes from the forest parking lot in Flims. Visitors can enjoy hiking and mountain bike trails in the area as well. The lake features a picturesque island that swimmers can reach and a restaurant with extensive facilities.
Absolute gem!!! Stunning blue waters, on a hot summer day such a great place to come with kids and have a refreshing swim, it’s not freezing cold as most of the waters tend to be in Switzerland. A bit pricey, but so worth in my opinion if you want to experience something that doesn’t happen every day- it’s not your every day normal swimming pond 🤪 it’s a post card Worthy and definitely will leave you impressed forever 😍 It’s a very easy and short stroll away from a parking, there is a cafe and we have tried a few pastries and coffee and they were delicious 💖 there is a big and fun playground for kids, wc, you can rent some boats and loungers so plenty of good facilities. And these photos don’t do this place a justice 🥵
M — Google review
The lake itself is beautiful, the surroundings are a bit disturbed, probably due to the high amount of visitors. An ugly fence is placed around the lake and to me it just wasn‘t the experience I was hoping for. Again the lake with it’s beautiful blue’ish color is stunning, so if you are in Flims and have like 1 or 2 hours, I would go and take a look.
Petrik B — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking the area itself seems family friendly but the day I went was at the end of summer and a weekday so we were able to enjoy a quiet day on the lake.
Kantian R — Google review
All year round AWESOME! There are two restaurants (in 1 building) open during the seasons, also an elevator to bring you up and down - still a good 10-15 minutes walk from the parking lot. One of the warmest mountain lake, perfect for beach days in the summer, with options to rent a pedal boat or SUP, and you walk on it or take an icebath in the winter.
Katinka K — Google review
We were lucky to be there when the summer season was over, so they were not charging for entrance, and dogs were allowed. This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in Switzerland!
Dra. C — Google review
First time coming back after 2 year and I was shocked. The entry price is getting more expensive from year to year. I mean I do understand that they have to maintain the area and staff needs to be paid but it was really a shock. Also I liked the small restaurant with the ice cream stand way better than the newly build restaurant. The place is very beautiful and we will definitively come back even though it hurts the bank account.
Fanni L — Google review
An amazing lake that looks like a gem fell from the sky and fuses with the water ,it's as you see in the pictures ,its bright blue colour says it's pure clear water that reflects the sky like a mirror and then you see the beautiful deep blue . To reach the lake you can go on a lift ( the day I went it wasn't working ) or on foot trough the gorgeous path with the forest ,it's easy to reach it's also great for people in wheelchairs or other disabilities the way is clean and there are very few bumps . There is also a large parking space before you start the Path BUT be aware it's always full ! On summer you can go to the lake and bath on it !
António R — Google review
A great escape, nice hiking trail (easy) can be also done with a stroller into the week to the lake. There is a lift that can take you there, I believe it operates in summer only

Tamina Therme

Spa
Spas & Wellness
The Tamina Therme is a beautiful wellness facility nestled in the picturesque mountains of Switzerland. It boasts a unique attraction, the Tamina source, which is a museum showcasing hot thermal water. The spa exudes elegance with its sophisticated decor and attentive staff, although slightly pricier than average. The pools are strategically positioned throughout the premises, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment of the invigorating massage jets.
The wellness experience here was incredible! After a peaceful walk through the Tamina Gorge surrounded by stunning nature, I spent the afternoon at the thermal spa. The warm mineral waters were so soothing—it felt like a complete reset for my mind and body
Bintang A — Google review
What a wonderful and dreamy space this is. The Tamina Therme is a 200 year old spa where the waters are heated by the magma hotspots beneath the earths surface. This epic place is designed as a spectacular white cathedral to wellness. Each oval window frames the mountains, trees and even hilltop ruins in the distance. There are many special pools with different temperatures and even pools to be done in rotation based on the warm jets and their different levels of heating. There is an outside pool area and a special space to enjoy and relax with others. They have an opportunity to get a robe for 10 Franc and I say this is the way to do it because the robe can also be used as a towel and perfect to lounge around it with champagne or a spritz in hand. The lockers needed clearer instructions so here they are 1. Get wrist band from front desk upon check in. 2. Choose locker 3. Press with your finger the circle 4. Its lights up 5. Press your wrist band against it 6. a knob extends and locker is now open. 7.put all things in locker 8. Press extended knob with wristband until it stays in. 9. Your items are safe and only you can get them out with your wristband. 10. Have the best time with all the pools and saunas to rest, zen-out and enjoy!
Beau H — Google review
Lovely spa with natural mineral waters in different temperatures. It wasn’t overly crowded because we came on Monday morning. Only one small incident clouded our experience. While we were in the large pool with different jets one Swiss woman told us off and asked to vacate our jets because she wanted to use them. We thought it’s incredibly rude while we are literally in our swimming suits and defenseless. We can’t understand why some people can be this incredibly arrogant. But this is nothing to do with Tamina Therme staff who were super friendly. We definitely recommend to visit!
Natasha K — Google review
My boyfriend and I were expecting something a bit better from wellness. The facilities are okay, but it’s a pity that the outdoor sauna area doesn’t have a pool. I don’t mean a cold plunge pool, but rather a small swimming pool or a hot tub – something like that would definitely fit in well and make the experience more enjoyable.
Vanda D — Google review
I read the previous reviews before coming, so I kind of knew what to expect. My wife and I came on my birthday and so I received free entry to the pool area, but still had to pay 18 Francs to enter the sauna world. My wife had to pay the full 37 for the pool area (2 hours) and the additional 18 for the sauna world. We thought this was a rather steep cost, given that the pool area does not have that much to offer - no slides or activities, just a few different pools to sit in bubbles. It's nice and relaxing, but it doesn't hold your attention for a longer stay. Once in the sauna area, there is no pool on that side (which has been mentioned previously). This is a huge detriment, to which they respond, "there are pools just a short distance away from the sauna area". Yes, but then there is the hassle of putting your swimming costume back on, going through the turnstyle gate and then being able to get in a pool. It is also nice to swim textile free in sauna areas, which here is not possible. Overall, a lovely place, but lacking in several areas and a little overpriced due to that. Totally worth it if you are just looking for what they offer, but many other such places offer a bit more for similar or less cost.

The Most Amazing Experience in my Life... When you enter there, you feel Home. Such a beautiful and relaxing safe space. In the outside pool at 36.5 you can see the view of mountains and the automne me trees . A MUST DO. If you are in the area ... Shout out: To Julia at réception that is very kind... 5 stars Julia , 😍😇🤗
ZOVNIA O — Google review
Fantastic overpriced thermals. Extra 18 francs to use the saunas, but they are very well done. A great place for a swim and some pleasant tickling bubbles.
Tom T — Google review
Spacious, clean, wonderful et cetera! Tamina Therme was a great experience, while staying at the Grand Resort. Multiple pools of varying temperatures, beautiful outdoor pool and ample locker/changing spaces. Must visit if you are in the area.

7132 Hotel

Spas & Wellness
Nestled in the heart of Vals, 7132 Hotel is a contemporary and stylish retreat offering an array of amenities. Indulge in unadulterated culinary experiences at Red, where timeless classics like crepes Suzette are flambeed tableside. The hotel's luxe spa boasts quartzite walls and offers rejuvenating treatments like the highly recommended deep muscle massage. While some find the rooms a bit small, they appreciate the welcoming team and creative cuisine at Silver restaurant.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel 7134 in Vals, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the stunning architecture and the serene surroundings. The hotel seamlessly blends modern design with the natural beauty of the Alps. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making sure I felt right at home. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking views from my balcony. The hotel’s spa facilities were a true oasis. I enjoyed relaxing in the thermal baths, which were both rejuvenating and tranquil. The on-site dining was also outstanding, with a delicious menu that showcased local ingredients.
Fiona J — Google review
I had visited many hot springs hotels in Japan, but this Swiss thermal hotel was very different experience. It is mixed thermal bath with bathing suites on which is major difference than the separated bath/private bath in Japan. The water quality was amazing and you can actually feel its healing power. The hotel is set in a beautiful valley and the hotel rooms are beautiful designed with gorgeous view(not very comfortable and guest friendly though, like any other design over functional situations). The Silver restaurant is a must do where the food is amazing and you get to spend 10 minutes snack time inside this Michelin two stars restaurant, meet the chefs see how they create. Though the hotel is bit remote but they offer limousine for 100 CHF or helicopter for tens of thousands dollars.
Amy S — Google review
Truly a special place that I dream to return time and again. The waters and the facilities, designed by famed architect Peter Zumthor, are close to a spiritual experience, calming and quieting. I’ve stayed in the luxurious penthouse, which is designed by Kengo Kuma, truly expensive but worth it for special occasions, and in various rooms in the House of Architects—these are compact but much more reasonably priced and special with the vibes. The on site restaurants are magical, including the formal restaurants at Red and the elevated Silver whose teams are truly artists. The spas, the front desk, and the concierges trolly go above and beyond to make you feel special, as they have for me each time I’ve stayed. Can hardly wait to return as soon as I’m able.
Zsolt B — Google review
The hotel feels overpriced and does not really meet the standard of a true 5-star property. I also found that there was not much to do in the area, which made the experience quite boring. Overall, not what I expected..
Abilifly “ — Google review
had the most wonderful stay at 7132 Hotel in Vals. From start to finish, everything was exceptional like the food was truly delicious, the drinks outstanding, and the massage treatment something really special. The thermal baths and the architecture alone are worth the trip, offering a unique and calming atmosphere with such a cozy and welcoming surrounding. On top of that, the staff were warm, professional, and made the whole experience even more memorable. A perfect place to relax, recharge, and treat yourself. I’ll definitely be back!
Kelly C — Google review
It’s the perfect place to unwind—whether you’re alone, with family, or with friends. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. We truly enjoyed our one-night stay and would love to return for a longer visit next time. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The place is spotless and beautifully maintained, and every detail has been carefully considered to make you feel at home. Soaking in the thermal bath with a mountain view—what could be better?
Sena Ö — Google review
The hotel was great, but a little bit too much for the price. We had taken the family suite for 1.5k per evening, but the location and room design affected it might be over priced. In all was a good stay and experience of the SPA area.

The Bernina Express is a renowned panoramic train journey that takes passengers on a breathtaking ride through the Swiss Alps and into Italy. Departing from either Chur or St. Moritz in Switzerland, the historic red train climbs to impressive heights, offering unparalleled views of Italian and Swiss mountain ranges, glaciers, and picturesque landscapes. The route includes crossing 196 bridges, including the spiral viaduct of Brusio, and traversing the Bernina Pass to Engadin.
The most beautiful train ride I’ve been on! The train has really big windows so you get a better view of the landscape. We went from Chur to Tirano, it was about 4 and a half hours. The train goes at a relatively slow speed so you get to take in all the views. Definitely book your tickets and seats ahead of time.
Percy S — Google review
It was amazing experience for us. We went from St. Moritz to Tirano. The train has panorama windows and the driving is very comfortable and gentle. The views are breathtaking. I highly recommend everyone to try Bernina express.
Marjetka Š — Google review
Great experience. From chur to Tirano take the Right side for more view. Both sides are great but the major attributes can be appreciated at the right side (from Chir to Tirano). Something that I don't know was that they offer a gift (a mini carrier with chocolate hearts and a beverage tea).
Dr. C — Google review
Absolutely incredible! No words to describe the beauty of Alps throughout the journey from Chur to Tirano. This Bernina express is unique and definitely a must try lifetime experience.
Abdul B — Google review
This was the best train journey I’ve ever experienced. I went in first class but space and seats are probably the only difference between the two classes. The views are just stunning! You go over mountains, fields, glaciers I could just keep naming things. Around the end (if you are going from Tirano to St Moritz) you can get off at the highest point for pictures and a coffee. The staff are super friendly and always try to make your journey pleasant. This exhilarating ride takes about two and a half hours (if you again are going from Tirano to St Moritz). I highly recommend going on the right side as you get more amazing panoramic views though both sides are great. It is best if you book in advance although upgrades are sometimes available on the day. 5 stars.
Maria P — Google review
Beautiful experience! I traveled today in 1st class from Chur to Tirano — it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The landscapes were breathtaking, the train was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere very peaceful. However, the Wi-Fi link didn’t work, and unfortunately the toilet in 1st class was out of order, which was a bit disappointing for such a premium journey. Other than that, everything was lovely — I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy one of the most scenic train rides in Europe.
Danijela B — Google review
We travel to Milan for our vacation, but noticed that there is such a cool train track, Bernina Express. So we decided to try booking the entire trip via Klook. This turned out to be the best decision we made in this trip. The mountainous and forest view along the train route is so beautiful, breathtaking and stunning. Please see the photos and vedios I uploaded. Don’t think too much, just book and go. There are many ways to do this, please look up more detail in Google or Youtube. Highly recommend to go. It’s a MUST in your life time.
Pichet P — Google review
One of the best trip we've ever made, a must for any couple despite it was far from our hotel (3 hiur to reach it) but it worth ever minute. On time, good value for money and refreshing. Not easy to book online, you should buy the ticket, then "separately" the seat !

Amazing lady at the counter.. Very sweet and lovely.. Understood our requirements and explained everything very nicely

It's all great, but why do we have to scan a code to find out when the office is open? Isn't it easier to just write what the opening hours are? Such pseudo-conveniences make no sense.

Bodies of Water
Lünersee, located in the Austrian Alps, is a breathtaking destination for couples, families, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. It is one of the largest lakes in the Eastern Alps and offers a variety of activities such as hiking, climbing, fishing, and swimming during the summer. The turquoise jewel of the Alps sits at an elevation of 1,970 meters and boasts a picturesque setting at the end of Brandnertal in Vandans.
Beautiful place, definitely worth a visit. It is quite touristy though, you won't be here all by yourself. There's a nice hike you can do around the lake but don't underestimate the hike, definitely doable but not flat all the time. Would recommend taking the cable car and if you have the time you can explore A LOT more hikes around the area of the Lünersee. There's a nice hiking map overview in front of the cable car end station at the Lünersee.

Was a bit disappointed. Got there when they have drained the lake. Besides that amazing hike, and nice scenery. Do check the state of the lake before going there

A Perfect, Picturesque Stroll in the Alps Title: An Absolutely Stunning and Accessible Walk I recently did the easy 7 km loop around the Lünersee and it was the highlight of our trip to the Vorarlberg region. This isn't a strenuous hike; it's a breathtakingly beautiful walk that is absolutely perfect for almost anyone looking to enjoy the Alpine scenery without a major climb. The convenience starts with the Lünerseebahn cable car, which whisks you up from the valley and drops you right at the edge of this stunning, turquoise lake. The path is wide, well-maintained, and almost entirely flat, making it ideal for families with children, casual walkers, and even trail runners. The 7 km distance felt just right—long enough to feel like a proper outing but short and easy enough that we could take our time, stop for countless photos, and simply soak in the views. The colour of the water against the backdrop of the Schesaplana massif is something you have to see to believe. We were lucky with a clear day, and the reflections of the mountains in the still water were incredible. We completed the loop in just under two hours at a very leisurely pace, including stops. There's a great alpine hut, the Douglass Hut, perfectly positioned for a drink or a meal with a view partway around. In a nutshell: If you want an unforgettable Alpine experience without the sweat and effort of a major hike, this is it. Scenic, easy, and utterly rewarding. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Tips: Bring a light jacket as the weather can change quickly at that altitude. And don't forget your camera! Rating: · Scenery: 5/5 · Difficulty: 1/5 (Very Easy) · Family-Friendly: 5/5 · Value: 5/5

5/5 – Stunning and Serene! I visited Lünersee in Vorarlberg this September, and it was absolutely breathtaking. It happened to be the first snow day, which added a magical touch to the entire experience. Taking the cable car up was smooth and the views were stunning. The combination of sunny skies and fresh snow made it a perfect day for a peaceful walk around the lake. If you’re looking for a serene spot with incredible mountain scenery, Lünersee is a must-visit. Highly recommended!. The restaurant there is so delicious !!!

Amazing. You can hike from the car park. Its an easy hike or take the cable car. At the top there is a nice restaurant. Unfortunatly it was very windy and the forcast was also not good so we decided to not to the whole hike around the lake.
Andrea — Google review
What a gorgeous lake! Hiking around it is about 2 hours and it is a very relaxing and easy hike. If you start from the right side after getting off the lift, you will face a bit of uphill towards the end of the hike but nothing difficult. Pretty flowers you can enjoy all around the lake, mesmerizing incredible colors of the water, and diverse shapes of rocks you see all around. One of my favorite lakes in the region!

Its really a beautiful place for a short trip if you want, you can make it longer by climbing up the mountain, but just the lake is absolutely beautiful

Viamala is a breathtaking gorge in the Swiss Alps, featuring sheer cliffs, turquoise waters, and lush greenery. Visitors can explore seasonal hiking trails and a suspension bridge offering stunning views of the 300-meter-high cliffs. Guided walks and activities like canyoning are also available for those seeking adventure. The preservation of the natural environment alongside comfortable amenities creates an enchanting experience.
The best place to have a coffee and see the beauty of nature. Places like this make the soul sing.

Worth a visit if you're passing drive around the area. The place is Very well organized. It's clean and you'll find some information on the side along the walk path to get to the gorges. The ticket entry was 8 CHF/person. You could use the toilet for free from the ticket purchased. I have to mentioned here that the man who sells us the ticket was friendly - we can't help but took our time there in the cafe to have good coffee made from him. This place is certainly good for family.

A beautiful waterfall with lovely paths winding through striking rock formations. However, I feel the entry price is quite high for what's offered—nearly €10 for an experience that lasts just over 20 minutes. In terms of value, it doesn't seem very reasonable. Instead, I'd highly recommend exploring the free hiking trails surrounding the waterfall. They offer equally stunning views and a more satisfying experience."

Beautiful place, cost only 8CHF. Must to see.

Had the most incredible experience at this enchanting natural haven. From the moment you step foot in this place, you will be captivated by the sheer beauty and serenity that surround you. The lush greenery, soothing sounds of running water, and breathtaking vistas truly transport you to a world of tranquility. The attention to detail in preserving the natural environment while providing comfortable amenities is impressive. The well-maintained trails allow to explore the area seamlessly, and the informative signage add an educational touch to the visit. Whether you're an avid nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is an absolute gem. I left rejuvenated, inspired, and grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in the wonders of the natural world. This is a must-visit destination that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a true connection with nature.

Beautiful walk through the schlucht- nice and cool outing even when it’s hot outside. You can park in front and get the tickets inside. Afterwards you can hike to traverstiner Steg which is about 1 hour hike in total.

The place itself is beautiful, and it is worth a visit. However the ticket to go down the canion is not worth it. I suggest you take the pictures from the main street and maybe go uphills for a short outlook.

Skiarea Valchiavenna offers a wonderful skiing experience amidst breathtaking landscapes, although the cost and accessibility might pose some challenges. However, once there, visitors can enjoy the convenience of nearby restaurants, encounter friendly staff, and explore the area's beauty through available cable cars, making the journey entirely worthwhile.

We stayed there 3 days- there are a lot of slopes (mainly for beginners but there are a lot of red ones and a few black ones ). The slops are in good maintenance and the view from the top of the mountain is amazing. The town near by is nice and fun . the overall cost of the skiing (equipment and ski pass ) is not expensive at all and you get a good ski site

Great ski resort if you don’t want crowds and overpriced everything. Nice small, but well arranged town with everything needed for a nice ski holiday.

It isn't a large area, and I found it difficult to read the available map and signs on the slopes. But I had a great time anyway
ANDRE P — Google review
Small ski area. But no significant queues even at Carnivale. Good variety of runs. Excellent food on piste at reasonable prices
John L — Google review
Runs are poorly maintained, ski lift entrances and exits are barely looked after to the point they’re almost always icy and dangerous to skiers trying to get on/off the lift and there is no notification as to which lifts will be open on the day. Nobody working there seems to be able to provide an answer to any question about any of the lifts or runs. I wouldn’t spend more than one day here if you like skiing.

Parsenn is a vast ski area that offers expansive runs, including the 12-km Parsenn descent, and numerous dining options. It is part of a group of mountains in Davos specially prepared to welcome guests in the summer, with ski slopes transforming into hiking and mountain biking trails covering 700 km. One of the main attractions in Davos is the Parsenn-Davos funicular, providing access to breathtaking mountain views for both skiers and non-skiers.
Great place for skiing in the Davos dorf... The top here is close to 2900m...so much pistes for every level of skiers... Pistes always good prepare... Not so much crowded... One thing you must try and if you are good ski and if there is enough snow is 12km slope from top to Kublis... If you want break or lunch there is few good restaurants for eat or drink something... All recommendations for visit and skiing if you are in Davos or in this part of Switzerland

Love this place! From Zürich its super easily accessible - its a little less than 2 hours from Zürich HB to Klosters Platz. As soon as you exit the train, across the street is a rental place where you can rent your gear. Literally next to the rental place is the gondola entrance. If you didnt buy your ticket online, you can buy it at the gondola entrance (can only pay with card - no cash is accepted). Mid morning its a bit of chaos there as its just one door for access to the ticket box and gondola entrance. I would recommend arriving no later than 8.30-9.00 if you dont want to queue. Even with a queue, you can get to the ski runs in 30 min - 1 hour, it isnt that bad of a wait. Note, that there is a second gondola to take after the first. The runs are really great - not too easy but not too difficult either. There is one run that takes you through the forest and all the way down to next to the 1st gondola. This is where the apres ski is. For the apres ski, definitely arrive a bit earlier than run closure if you want to get a seat inside (there is live music). If you cannot grab a place inside, they sell drinks out of a little car outside and there are a few places to stand/sit as well. After apres ski, its a quick walk across a bridge to the train station and rental return.

Got charged for cleaning fees although no one cleaned the rooms throughout my stay, the apartment was cleaned by us prior to checking out in accordance to the policy told to us by the receptionist. However, two wrapped up trash bags were left due to the trash cans being full and we informed the receptionist of this . The receptionist made us go back to the rooms after checking out to remove the trash bags or else an extra fee would be charged (on top of the cleaning fee we already paid per apartment as we had more than one apartment). There is nothing relaxing about this resort and the customer service in the reception makes matters worse . Overall should have saved my money, time , and peace of mind.

My first Swiss ski experience and absolutely loved it! Not surprising, everything worked perfectly smoothly, lifts, ski rent shop, buying ski pass online. There wasn't so much snow but all slopes were open nevertheless. We went there on a gorgeous Sunday and did over 70km of slopes. The ski pass is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
Erik J — Google review
Lovely skiing spot. It would be very nice if they add lift schedule to their website so that you can check it while you are skiing to ensure that you aren't missing the last lift ride. Currently the list schedule is available in text format with location names but you have no idea what those names mean you obviously look at the map and the schedule of the lifts must be available on the map, which should provide the schedule for both directions of the lift not just one. For example, last main train goes down at 17:00 but the website schedule shows 16:00 - but this is the ride up and is irrelevant for people who are already up in the mountains. In result you have to finish you ski day one hour earlier which is frustrating and not the experience you expect at the ski resort ...
Peter N — Google review
Even though I don't ski, the views from the top are amazing! If you travel by train your stop is Davos Dorf. Once there you walk about 5-10 minutes and then you have reached your destination. To go all the way to the top you change trams but it won't take that long to reach the top. Make sure to visit the village afterwards!

Spend an amazing day skiing on accessible blue tracks, since I am a beginner! A beautiful resort with lots of tracks for every skill sort! Found an amazing restaurant in me middle of track 15, which had an amazing view, and delicious food with vegetarian options! Had an amazing day there!

The best ski resort! Skiing here since 2012 and not bored! Not good for very begginers, but if you are ok on red slopes you should come here to practice. Only few Tbars left, which you can avoid, if you come from Klosters side, ski down to the double chair lift, or go forward to the carpet lift, and then go on higher.. i like that first slopes are done so that you can warm up well, and higher you ski,you can find steeper places. There are many slopes that are wide and straight, where you can practice with different level skiers. There is fun slope that goes parallel blue slope nr15. Some restaurants (one i know for sure) that do not accept credit cards, make sure to have some cash, just in case. I like Parsenn that its in the valley and you can ski several directions of the mountain, towards Davos,Klosters or Saas,Küblis.. on Davos side, there are two fun places: Race slope, where you can get the video of your skiing after you register your ski card, and the slope where you go for max.speed(there's speedometer) Even if you dont want to ski black route, you can take the lift all the way up to see an incredible view of the area, eat in that restaurant and go back with the lift.. totally reccomended. One more thing.. there is a "secret" slope(Seetäli...sssshhhh dont tell to anyone, its our secret;) ), from which you can spot the family of mountain goats(famous Steinbock) in order to earn that experience, you must take a Tbar up ;) dont forget the binoculars if you want to see them even better, but even without you can see them usually. I wish you to have a great ride on Parsenn!!!

Beautiful place with a stunning waterfall! The view of the waterfall from a distance is special, and it becomes even more breathtaking as you get closer. It’s a tall waterfall, and when you approach it, you can feel the refreshing mist from the falling water. There is parking available very close to the waterfall, which makes access easy and convenient. Overall, a truly beautiful spot worth visiting.

Did this hike with my friends and although I did find it challenging at points with regular breaks it’s not only very doable but simply beautiful (keep in mind I hadn’t hiked in years at that point). Lovely views and even a spot for a swim right at the top for those who are brave enough to face the chilly waters!

every time I visit chiavenna I always pass by the cascate. they’re so beautiful in winter or summer. recently I’ve been doing some of the hikes that you can find behind the waterfall which continue up alongside it and let me say it’s definitely worth it. you can find many pools near the summit for a quick dip in summer and in winter the serenity is amazing and the running water is a great soundtrack to accompany your hike. recommended 10/10 experience. brought my friends from australia with me the most recent time I did the hike and they also loved it. we swam in the spot in the second photo but beware even in peak summer the water is freezing (worth it though)

Very beautiful road with very nice scenery and enjoyable driving, plus some very cute cows. While it’s unfortunate that the remainder of the road is closed, I appreciate the measures in place keeping us safe, thank you! I also think it’s rather generous that there’s no toll to access the road right now.
Marissa — Google review
We travelled up to the lake at the top by bus, which was great fun. Super winding road, although compared to other toll roads I've driven it seemed quite short. It did seem a little much to charge bus passengers an additional 4 euros 50 each to ride the road! The restaurant at the top was very good and the prices were reasonable, which made up a little for the gouging on the bus!
Nicki B — Google review
Great scenic road with lots of terrific views including water falls, horses, lots of mountains and curves. At its peak you can stop to have a break, eat something at one of the two restaurants, enjoy the view even more and if you are still up to it, you can walk around the lake and trough the beautiful lit tunnel.

Nice views but can't help feeling it is to expensive for what it is at 18 euro, unlike other similar routes there's no exhibitions, few places to stop, loos only at the busy lake etc, and the road is not that long nor high either , I could name several passes in the area just as nice but free of charge

It is stunning, the road up will cost you 18 euros toll and is just awesome, driving too close to the edge is likely to lead to divorce. The views up top are worth the divorce however! Probably best in warm sunny weather.

Bodies of Water
Silvretta Stausee is a man-made reservoir nestled amidst the stunning Alpine peaks, featuring a circular walking trail that takes you past three dams and a picturesque waterfall. As the largest water reservoir in the region, it collects water from the mountains to generate energy for nearby villages, holding an impressive 42,000 liters of water. The approximately 7-kilometer hike around the reservoir offers breathtaking views and takes about 2 hours to complete.
The lake is situated at an elevation of approximately 2,030 m, covers an area of about 1.4 square km and has a total storage capacity of around 9 million cubic meters of water. Local folklore speaks of a village called Galtür that once thrived in the valley now submerged by the waters of Silvretta Stausee. According to the legend, the villagers were warned by an old hermit about an impending disaster. Ignoring the warning, they continued their daily lives until a massive storm struck, leading to the construction of the dam. It’s said that on quiet nights, if one listens closely, they can still hear the faint sound of church bells ringing beneath the water, a haunting reminder of the village that once was. This tale adds an element of mystique to the serene beauty of the lake, inviting visitors to reflect on the history that lies beneath its tranquil surface.

I visited St. Moritz several times while working in Switzerland; these pictures are from June 1979. If you have a chance, take a train from Basel to St Moritz. This scenic ride takes you through the heart of the Swiss countryside, offering breathtaking views of the Alps and picturesque towns along the way. Nestled in the Engadin Valley of the Swiss Alps, St. Moritz (elevation 1,856 Meters or 6,089 feet) sits at a lofty elevation, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pristine lakes. St. Moritz gained fame centuries ago due to its mineral springs. These springs were discovered around 3,000 years ago and established the town as a summer spa resort. Pilgrims traveled to St. Moritz to drink from the blessed, bubbling waters of the Mauritius springs, hoping for healing and absolution. Known as the birthplace of winter tourism, St. Moritz offers a playground for snow enthusiasts, from world-class skiing to bobsled rides down the Olympia Bob Run. As early as 1864, it attracted visitors seeking the perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and stunning landscapes. The 1948 Winter Olympics, the first Winter Olympics celebrated after World War II, were held in St. Moritz. The opening scene of movie The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) has James Bond being chased on skis by Russian agents—the scene was shot on the slopes around St. Moritz, until the final scene when he skis off a cliff and opens a parachute—that was filmed in Canada. Thanks to its unique microclimate, St. Moritz boasts over 300 days of sunshine each year—a rarity in the snowy Alps. St. Moritz has hosted royalty, Hollywood stars, and dignitaries for over a century. The iconic Badrutt’s Palace Hotel and the elegant Kulm Hotel exude old-world charm. When the snow melts, hiking and mountain biking trails open up. Summer brings a riot of colors as wildflowers bloom across the Engadin valley; lace up your hiking boots and explore the Alpine trails, from gentle walks to challenging ascents. Piz Nair, standing at an impressive 3,057 meters (10,026 feet), overlooks the town of St. Moritz. Piz Nair is easily accessible from St. Moritz via a funicular and a cable car. The upper station unloads just 30 meters below the summit. Below the summit to the east lies the Corviglia ski area. From the summit, you’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Engadin lake landscape.

Agriturismo la Fiorida is a high-end hotel located on a working farm in Valtellina, not far from Milan. The property features cozy and modern rooms, an indoor pool, and a wellness center. Guests can enjoy the adjacent farm's short supply chain which produces meat and cheese for the restaurant. Visitors have praised the quality of food made with ingredients from the region and the farm itself.
Spent the morning having coffee at the farm shop before a 50 minute relaxation massage with Francesca at the spa. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the massage was very relaxing. The facilities were very clean and the ambience was very peaceful. Perfect way to spend a rainy day! If there was anything to improve upon, there was no robe offered and the sauna facilities were not complimentary for day visitors, only hotel residents. Although, I think this is becoming more common in spas these days in general.

Stayed 5 nights in one of the family 2 bedroom suites. Ideal setup when travelling as a family. Hotel amenities, restaurant and pool were all excellent. Only a short drive to Colico to explore Lake Como by boat or train. Really liked Colico as a base, had plenty to offer and quieter than some of the other towns in middle of Lake. Enjoyed the farm tour and the guide did a good job of including English commentary for us. The car was loaded up with cheese, wine and beer from the excellent farm shop for the journey home.
Stephen W — Google review
I want to start by saying that, if you by chance are anywhere within an hour of this place, at least stop by and try the ice cream. That said, I stayed here for about a week with my wife and dog. The place has a modern rustic vibe, large rooms, and a nice breakfast buffet (most products are directly from the farm itself). There are also three places to eat on location (snacks, restaurant and fine dining) and a well equipped bar. The location is a bit out of the way, but that is a bonus if you like peace and quiet, and there are walking and biking trails going through the property. They do guided tours of the farm if you want to see some of the practical aspects of dairy farming and production. There are plenty of helpful and friendly staff, which makes for a great experience. The spa area can get a bit crowded when there are a lot of families staying at the hotel.

Nice place, but no information about restaurant opening time. No information about bike rental prices. We looked somewhere else.

Although there are more elements of model farming than a traditional one, the place is very educational especially for families with children. The dairy products are very good and if you love meat (it’s not my case cause I’m vegetarian) you’ll find what you need. There are even some vegetarian dishes as well. The Spa is small but beautiful and I enjoyed the experience a lot.

You won’t be disappointed. Heavenly location, easy to find and parking is just 1 min walking. We shared some cold cuts and cheese, it blew my socks off when I got to know they are all coming from their own farm behind the restaurant! Incredible!! Honestly it’s a great place with great honest food, literally from farm to table. 5 stars and highly recommended!

Lake St. Moritz is a stunning body of water surrounded by green hills and snowy mountains, creating a picturesque setting for various activities. In the winter, polo matches take place here, adding to the area's allure. The town of St. Moritz sits on the south side of the lake, offering a charming hillside view and access to an observation deck with breathtaking scenery. On the east bank, there is a large shallow rock beach where visitors can enjoy the cool waters during early summer days.
Extreamly gorgeous place must 😍 ✨️ go the best location is the parking infornt of train station but nearby the shopping mall. The best thing is all the parking is neer by and has a very convenient approach to the city center plus the lake view.

It takes about 1 hour to walk around the lake. Easy trail and great views

Beautiful lake to spend time by. It was so calm and silent here. We came around about 4-30 pm in the evening in September. It was empty, just saw a few people walking around. We sat here had some food and enjoyed the whole atmosphere! Clean air and calm vibes. Lovely to spend time here. The temperature was also so perfect to enjoy.
Sujay S — Google review
The lake in St. Moritz is not one of the larger lakes. Now that we are in August, it is hard to imagine what it is like here when the lake freezes, people are skating and supposedly horse races are even held on the lake! It is very nice to walk along the lake and enjoy watching the ducks. They are smaller and darker than the ducks I know.
Bogdan M — Google review
This beautiful lake has drawn travelers since ancient times, with mineral springs attracting visitors centuries before St. Moritz became a winter resort. The frozen lake famously hosted events during the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics, and every year unique sports like horse racing and polo are held right on the ice.

A lovely place, perfect reflection in late Autumn 28-Oct-2025.

Lake St. Moritz is absolutely stunning! Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and elegant hotels, it feels like a postcard come to life. The water changes color with the light, deep blue in the sun and crystal clear up close. Whether you walk around it, relax by the shore, or visit in winter when it freezes and hosts events, it’s pure Swiss beauty and elegance in one place.

Lookouts
Muottas Muragl is a 2,456-meter mountain peak accessible by hiking or funicular. Located at Punt Muragl between St. Moritz and Pontresina, it boasts an eatery and viewing platform with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountaintops. The funicular at 8,055 meters takes visitors to the top where they can enjoy cocktails on the terrace or dine inside with great dinner options.
Provided the weather is good, this place is absolutely spectacular. Probably one of the best views in the Engadin. Some niche short to medium walks. Good restaurant and nice terrace. Highly recommended. You can walk back to St. Moritz via the magical Staezer forest.
Mfo — Google review
Muottas Muragl sits majestically above the Upper Engadin Valley, offering one of Switzerland’s most breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. Reached easily by the historic Muottas Muragl funicular departing from Punt Muragl station this mountain terrace perches at 2,454 meters, commanding sweeping vistas of crystalline lakes (Silvaplana, St. Moritz and Sils), the Engadin floor, and the soaring peaks of the Bernina Range. The viewing platform is the star attraction. On a clear day, you can spot over a dozen 4,000-meter-plus mountains, including Piz Bernina and Piz Palü. Sunrise and sunset visits are especially magical: the alpenglow casts pink and gold hues across snow-capped summits and mirror-calm lakes, creating postcard-perfect photo opportunities. In winter, the terrace transforms into a snowy wonderland, while summer brings wildflower carpets and the gentle hum of grazing marmots. Beyond the viewpoint, Muottas Muragl offers multi-day hiking trails and loop walks that link to adventurous itineraries such as the Muottas Muragl to Fuorcla Minor ridge trail while families can enjoy easy panoramas routes. The on-site panoramic restaurant serves hearty Alpine fare think Bündner barley soup, Rösti with local cheese, and freshly baked Apfelstrudel paired with excellent regional wines and coffees, all enjoyed alongside the grand view. Facilities include a sun terrace, souvenir shop stocking handcrafted Swiss-Italian goods, and telescope stations for up-close glimpses of distant peaks. Clean, well-maintained restrooms and a viewing telescope make every visit comfortable and engaging. Muottas Muragl is more than a lookout point; it’s an immersive Alpine experience that combines effortless access, spectacular scenery, and Swiss hospitality. Whether you’re chasing sunrise, indulging in gourmet mountain cuisine, or simply seeking serenity above the clouds, this mountaintop gem is an unmissable highlight of the Engadin.

From the bottom to the top is a fun and in places steep funicular trip. The views from the top are stunning and the trails accommodate all levels. Well worth the trip but the price is too high if your hotel does not provide you with a local travel card so make sure to ask about that!
Richard H — Google review
Muottas Muragl is a top-notch destination and a must-visit attraction in St. Moritz. You can reach this stunning spot by taking the famous funicular train from Punt Muragl station, which is accessible by bus from the city. Note that your Swiss Pass doesn't work here, but with a local mountain pass, the fare is only 10 CHF. Once you arrive, you're greeted with spectacular views that are truly breathtaking. Whether you choose to enjoy a coffee while soaking in the scenery or go trekking along the trails, the experience is unforgettable. The photo below gives you a glimpse of the incredible vistas you can expect. Highly recommended for anyone visiting St. Moritz!

Amazing hikes and views ! Train to the top is very expensive 50eur per person(roundtrip) but wort it. The train is going only once in 30min so i would recomend to check timetible. We missed it and waited 30min in lobby.
Radka O — Google review
Absolutely magnificent area for easy hiking routes and especially to enjoy sunsets! The tranquility and views were out of this world. Train takes around 15 minutes to reach the top and from there you can take short 10 minute walk to enjoy the sunset. There's even plenty of benches and blankets, if you're visiting the place in winter.
Tomi L — Google review
Perfect views, many different hiking routes to choose from, between super easy and quite challenging.

The view is spectacular! Though the price for the funicular is pretty steep. So if you're going up, make sure you have clear skies & spend more time up there!

As always incredible Switzerland! Beautiful views from the pool, very clean, enough pools to entertain my 3 years old boy. We arrived at 15:00 o’clock and was almost empty, in the evening gets more crowded but still not much. The Parking is only 1 Franc/Hour!!!! 🤩
Patricea R — Google review
Receptionist with white hair was extremely unfriendly, Badmeister requested no beach dressing for a lady while others had a bathrobe on. The spas and pools had an excellent view , very clean and organized. The underground parking was not well marked. Best to visit after 7 pm, at a reduced fee.
Patricia K — Google review
Unfortunately it is like a waterpark rather than a wellness center. You can see kids are happy there, splashing water and playing around. But if you are an adult wanting to relax in the mineral bath, this is not the place. I tried to go at night when there were fewer kids, but then couples were getting intimate openly in the middle of the pool, it is embarrassing to watch, god knows what they were doing, and I was soaking in the same water. I can’t blame the owner for this, but I just didn’t enjoy myself.
RC — Google review
A small and lovely spa place, the sauna area has a better experience than the bathing area. There were too many children in the bathing area and it was noisy. Even seeing children wearing diapers made me a little worried about the water quality. The experience in the sauna area is really good. After steaming in the sauna, there are tea bags provided. There is also a sauna room outside which is easy to miss. Considering its price, I’m willing to give a four-star and recommend it to my friends for weekend relaxation.
Y X — Google review
For a rather high price, you can’t reserve a lounger and have no space of your own—only in the water. Parking is not included in the price and has to be paid separately. With my calm teenage daughter, we had to wait until 10:30, but then there was unbearable noise from small children. Limiting children’s entry based on age from 13 (instead of 18) during designated hours would be sufficient. The worst part was the small, loud children running around the sauna, where people are trying to relax and are naked. This is absolutely inappropriate for young children. The lifeguard didn’t even notice them—instead, he walked around the saunas checking if people were naked!
Mirka R — Google review
Amazing bath and spa! Quite big, many pools and sauna/steam bath. Quiet and pretty outside pool and garden (especially the sauna area) with astonishing view of the surrounding mountains. Clean and well organized too. A little improvement: some shower gel could be provided in the showers.

Very kind staff that spoke many languages. I felt very welcome here and greatly enjoyed all of the pools, as well as the steam room. It's a luxurious, family-friendly experience for all ages.
Kelsey W — Google review
I’ve been to more than 15 different spas in Switzerland, and this is the ONLY one where I had to wait nearly 30 minutes to enter after purchasing a ticket, that too on a weekday, no less. They should definitely improve the entry process by offering online ticket sales to prevent people from wasting time just to enter the Therme. I had taken a four-hour ride from Basel to come here, and it was disappointing to spend another half hour waiting just to get in.

Nice views, good mtb-trails and if necessary the personal will load your bike on the chairlift. Be aware of the air slurping bicycle pump in the valley station (im shure it will be fixed soon :-) ). I then could inflate my tire in the nearby bikeshop. There are also biketools and a bikewashing station to use for free.

Such a fun experience. We went with our 5 year old on the Classico rafting experience. It was quite a calm experience so perfect for young people. You can jump into the water to swim twice. Guadalupe was great, and super kind and engaging with our son.
Brittney H — Google review
We went rafting today, but I don't think July or August is the best time. The water was calm, and the kids were very bored. The scenery was beautiful, but that wasn't what I came for. No action and no adventure.
Joost B — Google review
I recently went rafting with this indomito in Italy, and it was extremely disappointing. The day before, we called to confirm if the trip would be suitable and exciting for a group of four eighteen-year-olds. They assured us it would be excellent and very fun. However, our experience was anything but. First, when we arrived at the center, we were told we needed water shoes. This was never mentioned during our call, and we ended up having to spend an additional 5 euros each on shoes we didn't need if they had just informed us beforehand. The rafting tour itself was incredibly underwhelming. There was nothing fast or exciting about it, completely contradicting what they had described to us. To make matters worse, the guides used our group to drop off yellow helmets along the way. This constant stopping was incredibly frustrating, and we felt like we were being used as part of their logistical setup rather than enjoying an adventure.
David B — Google review
Tourits trap, there are no rapids and you're only 30 minutes on very calm water, not 1,5 hour as they promise. Way to expensive and it's no rafting only floating. Spent your money somewhere else.
Lieke B — Google review
Enjoy! that's the resumé of this stunning activity with young and extremely fun and gentle staff. The river's rafting was a real fun, Adrenaline, no danger but could be tough, always secure and safe, amazing landscapes, animals and moments. you surely like it

Wow, this spa was absolutely amazing! We had an incredible experience. At first, we couldn’t decide between the one in the center or this one in the mountains, and I’m so happy we chose this! The antique style, with everything made of stone and wood, creates such a unique and magical atmosphere. Every single room has its own story, scent, and decoration. As a very detail-oriented person, I checked everything—and I was truly impressed! From the outside, you can’t imagine how amazing it is inside! The spa even has Grotto caves, which add to its unique charm. The entire experience was beyond expectations. Highly recommend this hidden gem! Even the breakfast menu was fantastic, and the food was incredible. I thought 5 hours would be too much, but now I wish I had even more time! Highly recommend. We are beyond impressed!
Kristina J — Google review
Beautiful location and nice idea. Very cool design and unique location. The spa was crammed with people, some of the steam rooms smelled like urine. The outside infinity pool is nice with a great view. The other pools looked murky and dirty. We saw in multiple pools clumps of white fluid floating in the pool. There is no enforcement of any rules so left with no one to enforce people do what they please in the pools. I have gone to many thermal baths and have not seen anything like this before. They need to clean the baths. The cleaning folks did a nice job of keeping the floors and the bathrooms clean so there was no trash around. I would not return here. Ever.

I was at QC Terme Bagni Vecchi and I must say that it was an extraordinary experience. Located in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, these spas offer a perfect combination of relaxation, well-being and natural beauty. The setting is enchanting, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The spas are immersed in nature, creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity that makes you forget the daily stress. Hot spring pools are powered by natural hot water and offer a variety of experiences, from hot tubs to outdoor pools. The rooftop pool is particularly charming, allowing you to enjoy a spectacular view while relaxing in the hot water. The wellness centre is well equipped with saunas, Turkish baths and a natural sweat cave. The treatments and massages offered are of high quality and the staff is extremely professional and courteous. QC Terme Bagni Vecchi has a fascinating history dating back centuries. Each corner of the spa tells a story of tradition and well-being, making the experience even more special. QC Terme Bagni Vecchi are an ideal place for those looking for relaxation, well-being and authentic contact with nature. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to spend a moment of serenity and regeneration.

Absolutely scandalously beautiful! Wow! Brilliant few hours before we stayed at its sister hotel Bagni Nuovi. Old baths, on mountain terraces. At the start of the legendary Stelvio Pass. Healing waters, great lunch. A must visit. X
Mustafa G — Google review
This place is gross. The spa was crammed with people and the water was dirty. Trash throughout the buildings, it’s clear the staff doesn’t do much to clean up. Smells like sweat and urine. There’s only a trickle of fresh water coming into the pools - with hundreds of people entering and exiting it just doesn’t stay clean. The website shows one price but they don’t honor that price when you show up. Stay away.
Blake V — Google review
One of our best stays. The environment is just amazing, like a fairy tale, the rooms are so comfortable, the staff are kind and so nice, and obviously the balneario and all the services are incredible. All that make the place feels like magic. It's one of those places one have to go once in life.
Sisi J — Google review
The customer service is really one of the worst I had to deal with in all my years of traveling. The staff was very unfriendly and I was a guest in the hotel - the ladies on the day shift on September 04, 2025 to be specific, treated us like tourist garbage, which is really frustrating after paying 300€ per night. When I asked to explain about the facilities, the reply was that “there is a map you can look at”. After I asked for the location of the restaurant, the lady just said 4th floor without listening to me and which was wrong. As for the room, it smelled like cigarettes, the coffee machine was broken and they put us in the back of the hotel with zeros views. Highly I unrecommended tourists trap.

QC Terme Bagni di Bormio Bagni Nuovi is an elegant lodging housed in an art nouveau building, offering fine dining, a modern spa, and complimentary breakfast. Guests can enjoy the thermal area and massages, with special mentions for the bright mornings provided by Orietta from the restaurant. The hotel's reception, spa, cleaning services, and buffet have all been praised for their kindness. This destination is perfect for those seeking a charming retreat in Bormio.
We've been here with extended family and a child and really enjoyed it. The hotel manager and staff were also very kind and helpful — I forgot my tablet in the room, and they did everything they could to make it easy for me to get it back. In general, I think this place fits best for couples rather than a family but that didn't impact us in a bad way. I'd recommend it for a romantic getaway with your partner.

Still a nice place for a weekend but lost a lot compared with few years ago. Crowded, noisy big groups… Rooms still nice, new areas to relax. Restaurant menu below expectations and definitely not deserving 5 stars as the hotel.

Bloody brilliant! We stayed one night and fell in love. Amazing facilities, with many to enjoy. Staff was exemplary, like Nicole at reception and Fuat from Sivas in restaurant, we were well attended. This place is massive, pristinely clean. Breakfast, dinner and Aperetivo well above our expectations. Very relaxing. We’ll be back! Grazie mille 🙏

Top notch hotel. Very beautiful with a really lovely spa. I got the best massage ever and the staff at reception and the bar were brilliant!

I’ve also been to QC Terme in Chamonix and San Pellegrino, both excellent, but the one in Bormio stands out for its wide variety of pools and outdoor paths, as well as its unique mountain views. What I appreciated the most is the intimate atmosphere, much more private compared to other spas in the group. Among all of them, I especially recommend Bormio for a couple’s day out, as it offers the most romantic setting.
Ayo F — Google review
The area is unbelievably scenic. The spa complex is huge and very good. However the hotel itself is pretty medicare, especially since it claims to have five stars. What makes a good five-star experience? Feeling special being their guest. It’s not at all the case with this hotel. The staff doesn't look particularly friendly or welcoming—not much smiling or nice words in general. We’ve heard “no” too many times from them: Can we sit there? No. Can we move our reservation to the restaurant? No. Can we eat now? No. Is the bar open? No. Does the bar have snacks? No. Etc., etc. All in all, if you’re a fan of the area (and believe me, you should be) and want to spend some time there, maybe a cheaper option won’t make you feel cheated. If you love QC spas (as my wife and I do), you can always drop by Bagni Nuovi’s spa without living in the hotel.

My recent visit to QC Terme Bagni Nuovi was an unforgettable and regenerating experience. Located in a breathtaking alpine landscape, these spas offer a perfect balance between luxury, well-being and nature. The QC Terme Bagni Nuovi are immersed in an enchanting natural context, surrounded by the mountains of the Stelvio National Park. The view is simply spectacular and contributes to creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity that is perceived from the first moment. The thermal path is extremely varied and includes several swimming pools and tanks, both indoor and outdoor, all fed with natural hot thermal water. Each pool offers a unique experience, from hot tubs to regenerating waterfalls, allowing you to relax completely. The wellness centre is well equipped with saunas, Turkish baths and a wide range of treatments and massages. I tried a relaxing massage that was really regenerating and the staff was extremely professional and courteous. The restaurant of the QC Terme Bagni Nuovi offers a selection of delicious dishes prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. The kitchen is a mix of tradition and innovation, with particular attention to the presentation of dishes. I particularly appreciated the typical dishes of Valtellina, which were simply exquisite. The QC Terme Bagni Nuovi is a historical place, with a long tradition of wellness. The architecture of the complex is fascinating, with historical details that integrate perfectly with the modern thermal facilities. Every corner of the spa tells a story of care and well-being. The staff is always available and ready to assist at any time. The service is impeccable and attentive, helping to make the experience even more pleasant and relaxing. In conclusion, QC Terme Bagni Nuovi is an ideal place for those looking for relaxation, well-being and authentic contact with nature. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to spend a moment of serenity and regeneration in a unique and fascinating context.

The spa has a decent variety of treatments, and the location is great. However, the entire experience is ruined because it is overbooked. They are trying to accommodate way more people per slot than the capacity. As a result, a luxury like experience felt more like a trip to a crowded water park. In addition to that, the staff was unwelcoming and not attentive

I love this road on my motorcycle. I set out at 6am and it was practically deserted. Climbing up at one point you go through the clouds and it was a beautiful new experience for me!! Went up today and absolutely loved it. My wife was a little anxious but we left early and had the road almost to ourselves. There were of course the early cyclists but not too many cars. A fantastic experience on a motorcycle and my wife absolutely loved it.

This place/road is the “Mecca” for riders. If you ride a motorcycle, don’t hesitate more and just Go

Breathtaking, there are not enough superlatives to describe this stunning pass. There are no photos that do justice to this magnificent landscape and the feat of human engineering that created the Stelvio pass road. Went up twice from the Bormio side by bicycle and found there was a lot of mutual respect among all road users. It will take a lot to beat the experience of riding the Stelvio. 9.99999 out of 10!

Basilica della Madonna di Tirano

Santuario della Madonna di Tirano is a stunning Roman Catholic church that dates back to the 1500s. It features a bell tower and an interior adorned with intricate sculptures. The church is considered the main attraction in Tirano, Italy, and is known for its breathtaking architecture, including classic stained glass windows and a high arched ceiling. Visitors can also enjoy a nice square nearby and take in beautiful views of the surrounding scenery from a vineyard up the mountain.
Such a beautiful and well decorated basilica! It is not big or grand like others but you can really appreciate the effort the entire town poured into this place. Very worth of visit even though it is about 15 minutes walk from the train station.

This building is really deceiving. From the outside it doesn't look anything special, but upon entering your mind is completely blown away by the decor and architecture. Definitely worth a visit.

The Basilica Madonna di Tirano is exactly the kind of church that can take your breath away, even if you've already seen dozens of them. A beautiful structure with a typical Italian tower that, from a distance, looks like someone just stuck a pin into the landscape. And you know what’s the best part? There’s literally a train passing right in front of it! Yep – the Bernina Express rolls through as if it’s just another regular street. Historically, this basilica is pretty significant – legend says the Virgin Mary appeared here in 1504 to protect the town from the plague. So instead of a deadly disease, you now get a charming red train and tourists happily snapping photos with a coffee in hand. But despite all that, the atmosphere remains truly special – it’s definitely worth a stop. 😊 (instagram --> michaelnae)

I've read the story of this basilica, which is said to have an apparition of Mama Mary and right there where she appeared this church was built. If you are in Tirano, it is really worth the visit.

Peaceful and breathtaking. A 500-year-old basilica with stunning art, rich history, and a truly sacred atmosphere. A must-see in Tirano.

A nice Santuario, it is worth to enter to admire the architecture and decorations.

Nice square and we had a good coffee in the sun. There is a nice vineyard up the mountain where you can have a great overview of Tirano. It is quite steep and narrow but really rewarding climbing to see the beautiful scenery. The little building has a well landscaped grass plateau up the mountain from where you can see the trains leaving. The entry is at the plus coordinate you can add in Google. Plus coordinate: 6593+28 Tirano. Hope this helps some getting to this nice view.

What an amazing experience we had today. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. He made it fun esp for the young kids in our group. Minimum walking. A must visit if you are in Valtellina.

I visited the "Parco delle incisioni rupestri" in Grosio last fall, and it was a great experience to see the stone-age drawings on the surface of the rocks (not, as I somehow had expected, in a cave). I was the only visitor at the time, and a young guide was so friendly to offer me a tour and to explain to me the origins and the meaning of the drawings. The site also provides wonderful views of the valley and its opposite side. A visit can be combined with that of two adjacent medieval castles. It's a bit difficult to find in Grosio the right spot from where to walk up to the Parco but you can ask locals for the right way.

Amazing place to explore! Thanks to the excellent and flexible arrangement of the staff, Giada, a very professional, knowledgeable & pleasant staff, gave me a tour of the rock engravings. Best time to visit is in the afternoon because the lighting allows you to see the engravings more easily. It’s really a special place to visit and I’d recommend anyone to visit, there’s some great history/stories to explore here!

Amazing location and great tour. Me and my girlfriend showed up kind of randomly and they organized a tour just for us. They were able to do the tour entirely in English, which was also very nice given that my girlfriend is American. The tour was very interesting and easy to follow. The park cover and incredibly wide historical period of Valtellina.
Simone D — Google review
Absolutely worth a visit! The guides (tours are also available in English and German) are well qualified & enthusiastic and give a good overview of both castles and the nearby rock carvings. Also ok for kids or older people, there's not too much walking.
Sebastian W — Google review
A wonderful tour experience given by Gottfried. His detailed explanations and clear passion for the history of the area makes this a must-stop for anyone visiting this part of Italy! He ensured that everyone could see the incisions which are otherwise hard to see without a guide. The tour gives a personal touch to the information compared to the cold (and often over-long) explanation boards in other historical sites. There is also a wonderful view over the valleys!
Jin G — Google review
Very nice short walk to the castle . Entering only the castle is free . But I recommend to take the one hour guided tour that takes you to see the castle and the carved rocks. We had this tour with Gotfried the local guid who was very interesting and knowledgeable.

Danza Macabra

Painting

Nestled in the charming town of Clusone, the Danza Macabra is a breathtaking medieval fresco that dates back to the 15th century. This remarkable artwork, located on the walls of the Oratorio dei Disciplini, powerfully illustrates death as an equalizer among all people—be they popes, kings, or commoners. The dramatic imagery and direct style create a striking narrative about life's fragility through a haunting dialogue between living figures and skeletons.
Photos and words can't convey the feeling you have when you are standing in front of this historical artefact. The story is one of life and death. Just come and see and if you disagree, let me know!

Beautiful church and breathtaking surroundings. It's very peaceful and quiet.

(Translated by Google) The Danse Macabre of Clusone, frescoed on the Oratorio dei Disciplini, is a unique medieval masterpiece. Dating back to the 15th century, it shows death as a universal leveler: popes, kings and the poor are all equal before the scythe. With a direct and dramatic style, the work is striking for the strength of its message. The dialogue between the living and skeletons is a powerful warning about the fragility of life.

(Translated by Google) In my wanderings it is rare to admire a macabre dance. You have to take advantage of the opportunity and I did it when I was in Clusone. Go back centuries and just try to imagine what the word "plague" meant, the fear of an atrocious death made you a slave to the black lady.

Such an iconic pass and a second time visitor. Last time I cycled up and mistakingly turned around at the war memorial, as there is a restaurant there. The top is another 1km+ from there where you'll see The sign from my pictures and find a great cafe with delicious pastries. I started from Bormio at 7.45am and it was nice not having many motorbikes or cars. After a quick refuel, I was back in Bormio by 10.30am 🚵‍♂️⛰️

Beautiful place, one the most gorgeous mountains passes in Italy. The road is narrow in some parts so drive carefully. There are few hiking trails in the upper area, it is a rocky are so it is important to have the right equipment.
Yadid — Google review
It is one of the highest and most spectacular passes in the area, caravans or trailers are not allowed, the southern part is very wild and the road very narrow, there are sections of the road where a car and a bicycle barely fit. The landscape is superb, especially at the top.
EnduRO ( — Google review
Horrific, scary drive. Google Maps gave us directions between two towns and we ended up on this pass. Single track for a majority of it with switchbacks and many areas without guardrails. Tunnel with no lights. Many bicycles and motorcycles. Deadly if any mistake. We could not turn around once we realized the dangerous conditions. This road should be clearly marked with dangerous conditions at points where cars could turn around before it is too late. I keep thinking about how close we came to potential life threatening conditions. I was shaking and having a panic attack going down. My husband was extremely stressed driving this. Terrible experience. This should not be an option on google maps. This road is for people who are prepared and know what to expect and are making the choice to put themselves in danger.

Nice view. Many cars n cyclist are coming. I took a rest n refresh. From road from Adamelo to here, road is bit narrow n bit hard driving.

The Passo Gavia is a stunning ascent, and an even more enjoyable descent. I was fortunate enough to cycle this route during the Transcontinental Bike Race No8 in 2022. The landscape is stunning, reaching the summit I was surprised not to see more shops open but it was still not long out of lockdowns post covid. The hairpins are special and what makes this iconic and famous cycling route so breathtaking. The road surface asphalt tarmac is so smooth and perfectly safe for road cyclists like myself. Plenty of motorbike riders and car drivers were courteous when needing to pass, although I was descending as fast as the cars. Not many water stops on the ascent so fill both of your bottles when planning on climbing. The route down to Bormio was spectacular, the views were very special and the villagers always pleased, friendly and welcoming. The Alps will always be so very special having cycled through them in numerous races and occasions.

Beautiful but very demanding route. Riding from Ponte di Legno, it's very narrow, would fit only one car and motorcycle. Two cars won't pass, forget about campers. Picturesque views so definitely worth it but keep safe!
