Bars & Clubs
ICEBAR offers a unique experience where drinks are served in glasses made of ice, adding a new dimension to the enjoyment. The bar's ice walls also provide exceptional audio qualities. While the prices for drinks may be relatively high, the atmosphere and the novelty of everything being made of ice compensate for it. Visitors can enjoy their drinks in sustainable ice glasses while taking in the great atmosphere and comfortable seating.
Great sculpture ! Must try experience in ice hotel! Pure ice bar! Best in the world! Sipping A champagne or a special cocktail will nicely make to the aurora tour in ice hotel
Goldy W — Google review
This has to be the coolest bar that I have ever been to. Great atmosphere and plenty of cool places to sit down. All drinks are served in ice glasses made of ice from the nearby Torne River, allowing the colour of the drink to be seen and yet knowing the glasses you hold are truly sustainable.
Samuel L — Google review
As part of our trip to Sweden we also visited the famous ICE BAR. It's really gorgeous in here. Really EVERYTHING is made of ice! The only thing that bothers me are the prices for the drinks. It is clear that alcohol is expensive in Scandinavia and that you have to dig a little deeper into your pocket at the Ice Bar. But I find about 12€ for a cocktail that has hardly any alcohol in it and also very small is already very much. But the atmosphere compensates that again - it's was really beautiful!
Max W — Google review
Wonderful bar and exposition, with welcoming staff. Special thanks to Sara for the good cocktails and the kind service
Angelo P — Google review
drink IN the rocks This became our regular spot to hang out while staying at the IceHotel, both for the iconic experience, but mostly for the welcoming kindness of it’s staff. Johannes was the bartender our first night - not only does he make a delicious cocktail called the “Fish,” but he offered to take us on a private tour of the then in construction Ice Hotel on his day off the following day (which was amazing). The bar tends to be a gathering point for the staff of the hotel and we got to get to know this international group of kind people late into the evening (complete with a game of ‘Name that song’). The chiseled ice-ware ensure a forever chilled drink and the warmth of your mouth and hands personalize it’s shape.
Chae A — Google review
The original Icebar that uses blocks of clear ice, with drilled hole, as glas. Interesting cocktails and nicely decorated. Only dowside was to few places to sit and enjoy drinks since dbeverages only are sold to peoples that already have secured a place to sit, covid-19 requirement. Recommendation to management to add more iceblocks with rain deer skin since there is space.
Thomas U — Google review
Sooooo cool to have a very good cocktail in an iced glass 🧊🍸 The place is amazing! Don't miss the exhibition.

Nutti Sámi Siida

Mentioned on
+7 other lists
Museums
Coffee shop
Nutti Sámi Siida offers an authentic Sami experience with traditional gahkku and reindeer served in a teepee-like lavvu tent. Visitors can learn about Sami culture through informative signs and guided tours, as well as the opportunity to feed friendly reindeer. The on-site restaurant serves local recipes in a cozy setting, while the museum showcases various aspects of Sami life.
We had a wonderful experience here, the outdoor museum was informative, the cafe served delicious food and some unique handmade crafts were available to purchase. The highlight for my daughter was feeding the reindeer, and the nature beauty of the location was hard to beat.
Steve R — Google review
I visited the museum in December. Since most of the exhibits were outdoors and it was cold, I went through it pretty quickly—about 30 minutes—because I couldn't stand in one spot for too long to read the information, even though it was quite interesting. The most memorable part was feeding the reindeer. The museum's restaurant had very cozy decor and friendly staff, but the portions were quite small for the price.
Lea S — Google review
An exciting museum that provides a good insight into the life of the Sami people. The opportunity to feed reindeer is great. Beforehand, there is a clear explanation of what to pay attention to when feeding them. The admission prices are rather expensive. Unfortunately, the film about the life of the Sami people was not showing. One hour is sufficient to view the entire facility and the exhibits.
Jacqueline G — Google review
We visited in winter, so there wasn't as much going on outside. There was a lot of learning to be had from the static displays of structures and how they were used, as well as signs that described most aspect of native life. Very interesting. The highlight for us was the reindeer exhibit where we were able to feed and pet reindeer. Beautiful creatures and very friendly.
Eric F — Google review
I failed to understand why the tickets are so expensive !!! - It is a small museum, and tries to explain everything in only a few artifacts and boards. I have visited much better museums(about Samis) at a lower cost. - While feeding the reindeer is a nice experience for kids, they charge SEK 50 for a pocket bag of lichen. - One of the rooms which probably has exhibits of daily products used by Samis was locked. - The film was a bit informative but still has a lot of scope for improvement. My suggestion is to save money, and invest it in other Sami museums.
Omkar J — Google review
Restaurant serving indigenous Dami dish. Outdoors museum exhibits the dwelling and storage structures of Sami peoples. There are many reindeers roaming around and you can pet it.
Somkietr R — Google review
an experience that can't be missed -- from feeding reindeers, to getting chased by them for not feeding them fast enough, to the history of the Sami through various depiction of life, this is a treat. must round it off with a delicious meal of salmon soup & succulent reindeer meat burger at their restaurant. make sure to check out their website for opening hours, especially during the Christmas period.
Indraneel B — Google review
A small outdoor museum with Reindeers! We got the snacks to feed the reindeers in their enclosure. It was up close and you can pet them as well. But they can get a little aggressive but the staff will give you advice before entering. Other locations to see how the Sami people live in the past. There is a small shop and a cafe with big fire place which was important for tourists in the winter.

Jukkasjärvi church, dating back to 1726 with some original parts from 1607, is a beautiful red-colored timber building with a stand-alone bell tower. It features a special timber construction that is the only one preserved in the country. The interior is adorned with unique colors typical of the Sami culture.
Nice small church with interesting painting . Perfect place to have your quiet time with your creator.
Kevin Y — Google review
A small church at the end of the road. It was so freezing that we could not enter. Free to enter as well.
Mervyn P — Google review
A beautiful church in Jukkasjarvi. This is the last stop on the Kiruna - Jukkasjarvi bus route, and an ideal starting point for your Jukkasjarvi exploration. Start at the church, walk down to the Sami Siida adjacent to the property, then walk down to the ice hotel, and take the bus back to kiruna.
Justin F — Google review
Beautiful from the inside and the outside. The inside is very special, I have never seen a church like this before. The colours which are used for the furniture and pictures are the colours which are typical for the Sami.

Harriniva Hotels & Safaris is a quaint and comfortable retreat that provides an array of amenities to its guests. The hotel boasts a restaurant of its own and is situated half an hour's drive from the Pallas-Yllas National Park, bordering Finland and Sweden. The accommodation offers a fantastic breakfast spread, spacious rooms for larger families, Finnish sauna facilities, and delicious local cuisine dinner at the Finnish Kota.
We had a fantastic holiday here January 2024. Saw the Northern Lights several times in the most glorious snow. Accommodation was cosy, clean and comfortable. Food was plentiful and tasty. If we hadn’t seen the Lights it would have been disappointing but the expeditions were good fun especially the dog sledging and ice plunge pool. Would heartily recommend- great for a romantic but active honeymoon.

Perfect place to relax and all winter activities. We did a 5 day skidoo Safari with the perfect guide Lauri and petfect equipment. It was a real great experience and Lauri guided us through north of Lappland to the Summit af Finnland.

We did a husky tour and it was very nice! The dogs were very well taken care of and you could feel that the staff really care about the wellbeing of the dogs. We got to drive the sleigh ourselves in a beautiful landscape! Also the gear was provided which was really nice!

We have just returned from a 5 day husky safari. It was a once in a life time experience. Well organised with a fantastic, knowledgable guide. Friendly hotel staff...and dogs. Delicious regional catering.

We had an unforgettable adventure holiday over New Year's Eve in Lapland. The trip was very well organized and everything went smoothly. The Hotel is the perfect starting point for all outdoor activities. The location is in the middle of a beautiful landscape, away from any hustle and bustle. Everything was very clean, the staff was very friendly and all activities were well organized. The overnight stay in the Aurora Dome was a highlight. Thanks very much!

Fabulous location. Friendly staff. Excellent activities (2 day husky safari was the perfect length to get into the wilderness and bond with the dogs). The food was tasty and hearty - what you need to combat the cold. The provided equipment was of good quality (snowsuits, boots, skis etc) No complaints at all

This review is for the small kota that we've used here. We had the best time here of the small trip we've made! We made a fire inside the kota, grilled our food, had some nice campfire moments. It was amazing. Free to use, very clean and lovely area. The nature here is beautiful and the area is quiet. The roads are a bit bumpy, but not too bad. Also, there is a toilet (with toiletpaper and soap) around, and there is firewood in the shed next to the kota.

Absolutely amazing course with its landscape variety and different throw opportunities. Tees are in excellent condition. Good signs for the next tee. Discovered on the course that there is amateur and pro layout. Took the PRO course, which is quite challenging.

(Translated by Google) A nice track on the side of danger. Challenging, but not frustrating even for a beginner. The best tracks in northern Finland. Sarkitunturi is a stunning destination with breathtaking views of the surrounding fells and Jerisjarvi lake. The three-kilometer hike from the parking lot to the top offers a well-maintained trail, with a rest area halfway providing facilities and a barbecue spot. Visitors are advised to carry wood for grilling from this point. The top of Sarkitunturi provides magnificent sunset views over Pallas, Olos, and Yllastunturi.
Gorgeous place to hike. Well-defined and easy path to follow. There are a few benches (and natural rocks) to rest on if needed. There's a kota for you to grill sausages at. The view up top is spectacular.

Easy and enjoyable hike with smooth trail all the way to top! Enjoyable 360° views, which are perfect for enjoying sunset & sunrise as well!
Tomi L — Google review
Beautiful hike, doable with kids and you can see everything on top. Magnificent view.
Sofie D — Google review
Beautiful view!. Nice small and clear mountain lakes on the top. Quite easy and light 3km hike to the top. To the half way normal gravel trail... In the end of it also a lake and place to put on a fire. First part of the trail is usable also for a wheelchair. The end part unfortunately not.
Jarmo H — Google review
(Translated by Google) It's worth the 3 kilometers. The scenery is really beautiful. The barbecue area is large and it's good for frying sausages. (Original) Kannattaa kivuta tuo 3 kilometriä. Maisemat ovat todella kauniit. Grillipaikka suuri ja siinä on hyvä paistaa makkaraa.

(Translated by Google) A truly worthwhile stop, with plenty of parking available. First, the view of the lakes and mountains from the parking lot on the road, and then the hike to the lookout point, where you'll find a magnificent panorama, is highly recommended. The hike is about 3 km, and after 2 km, there's a great hut with a grill and wood (although there's plenty of it everywhere). The paths are well-maintained, but not necessarily wheelchair accessible. (Translated by Google) The whole route is great and so is the lake itself. Easy route. The kuukkeli beg for food and will eat from your hand. Bring some crushed nuts. There are a couple of ponds on the top, one of which is large and you can swim in it. Really great scenery. The lean-to on the way was ok, there were trees. The only downside is that the destination is also popular with others, there were a lot of people. The youngest is 2 months old! Nuorin 2 kk!
Satu K — Google review

Lovely visit to the ranch. We got to pet and learn more about horses, huskies and reindeer. Very friendly staff and unbelievably cute animals!

I did a farm visit to see the horses, huskies and reindeer. It was excellent! The guide was amazing and very informative, swapping between english and finnish as he needed. We got to go in the pens with the huskies who were very happy to see us. A great way to meet all the animals if you’re short on time!

We had a great time visiting Konijankka and riding on the Husky run. The price was reasonable and view was breathtakingly beautiful. The animals there are taken good care of. The owner even help us to take some videos during the ride. Very happy with the experience.

We came here December 2017. This is a wonderful place for grownups and kids alike! They have a very affordable price for Husky sled ride, especially compared to Rovaneimi, Finland. They have a nice little restaurant with good local food and drinks. We enjoyed seeing the large outdoor animals and they also have a really nice indoor animal area with a big variety of different kinds of animals from all parts of the world. My son loved the big sledding hill with free sleds and we had fun chatting with people from all over the world.

Great experience! Went to a tour to see the huskys, horses and reindeers with my fiancé and our 2 year old daughter. Very child friendly place, and got our moneys worth just by seeing the huge smile on our daughter's face. 10/10 would recommend!

Unexpected find in the middle of nowhere. They have some local and some international animals to look at and offer sleigh rides and horse rides. They could make the sleigh ride a bit more Christmas-like in the weeks before Christmas as the kids come are coming to Finland for Santa.

Wild Motion Siberian Huskies offers a wide range of winter activities, including meeting Siberian huskies and reindeer at the Wilderness Center. Visitors can also enjoy ice fishing, learn traditional Lappish skills, or opt for a snowmobile excursion from the top of Kaunispaa fell. One visitor had an amazing dog sledding trip with breathtaking scenery and the chance to play with adorable puppies. The owners shared insights into their operations and how they train and care for the dogs.
Great place. Highly recommended. The guide/staff were awesome, helpful and knowledgeable. The huskies were great. You get a safety briefing then go out in a convoy of huskies and sleds. You get to drive from the start. The sled has a team of six huskies and one person driving and a second riding in the sled. My wife didn't want to change over when we reached the halfway point so I drove the whole time. Rightly or wrongly I didn't slow down unless I had to (either going down hill or receiving the hand signal to slow down) which meant it was a bit like being in a side car - in that I was leaning off the side going round corners. The whole experience was great. I've always wanted to drive a sled and team of huskies. The dogs were awesome as you can wander round afterwards. If you're going for a husky experience you can't go wrong with these guys and girls.

Tui organised our afternoon with the huskies. The sleigh run and the chance to meet the dogs and show some appreciation was great. All the staff were lovely too. The missing star is due to the price: at €160 pp, it's a pricey affair. Enjoyable nonetheless.
Darren R — Google review
This place was great, I can't speak highly enough of the staff here who were eager to answer questions and talk about all aspects of the Huskies lives. Being able to cuddle and pat our team after our sled ride and then cuddle all the puppies, was definitely the highlights. Booked through Lapland Safari's

Snow Fun Safaris offers an exhilarating experience for adventure seekers in the snowy landscapes of Akaslompolo. My journey began with a snowmobile tour, where I met my guide Joosef and hopped onto a sleigh while my kids enjoyed the ride. The guides, Antti and Sami, were fantastic throughout our safari, ensuring that every moment was filled with excitement. We even took a break to savor a traditional Finnish meal featuring reindeer alongside mashed potatoes and cranberries—an authentic culinary delight!
We had an absolutely amazing snowmobile trip. Us and the two kids couldn’t have loved it more. The scenery was stunning, our guide Anti was brilliant. So calm, friendly and full of great facts & information. Next time we’ll go out for longer!

Simply brilliant. Easy to Book, super friendly and all round amazing experience. We booked a last minute Ice fishing safari and the team couldn’t have been better. Our guides were so knowledgeable and informative not only on fishing but Finnish culture too. Thank you from The Byrne Family

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a snowmobile safari with Snow Fun Safari in Äkäslompolo, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Our guides, Anttí and Sami, were exceptional, making sure every moment was enjoyable and unforgettable. Midway through the tour, we paused to indulge in a traditional Finnish meal they expertly prepared. The dish featured reindeer, mashed potatoes, and cranberries accompanied by pickles, a delightful treat that was both authentic and delicious. They kindly accommodated dietary needs, ensuring gluten and lactose-free options were available. For dessert, we savored a scrumptious blueberry cake. The tour included warm clothes, which were crucial for the chilly adventure, and added great value to the experience. The following day, we joined them for an ice fishing tour. Although no food was provided on this tour, they supplied snowshoes and warm attire, keeping us comfortable throughout the day. Anttí and Sami's dedication to ensuring everyone had a fantastic time was evident in their constant care and attention. They truly enhance the Snow Fun Safari experience, making it a must for anyone visiting the area. I look forward to returning next year for another memorable adventure!

Could not recommend the snowmobiling tour more. We had the best time going through the forest, watching the sunrise/sunset and our guide was lovely and very encouraging. Another big highlight was the halfway stop where we learnt some fun facts about Finland and enjoyed some sweets, coffee and hot berry juice provided by our guide. Definitely book this if you’re in Ylläs!!!

We rented 5 snowmobiles for our group of 10 and had an amazing day. The people at Snow Fun Safaris are very kind and relaxed. Highly recommended!

I can 100% recommend the snowmobile tours. We did one last year and booked another one today, this time a longer one. We were lucky enough to be on our own with our guide Jussi. He adapted the route and speed perfectly to our skills and needs and also included a few small detours. It was fast and challenging but never overwhelming. I had an incredible amount of fun. The views and nature were breathtakingly beautiful.
Martin W — Google review
We did the Yllas 718 snow mobile safari with Snow Fun Safaris. Very good organized and beautiful tour. The tour took about 3 hours, and we stopped for a hot beverage in the middle. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because the maximum speed was around 40 - 50 km/h. And this for the last quarter of the tour, at the beginning the speed was capped at 30 - 40 km/h. On the website was mentioned that the Yllas 718 tour was for people with a taste for speed. It could be possible that this was due to other drivers scared to go faster or, this is the standard speed limit. Overall very nice experience. Would recommend.

This was a great tour. Marcel was fantastic and the scenery was spectacular. There were 2 families in our group, 6 kids (4-9) and 7 adults. All were entertained even though no fish were caught.

.....where to start?.....about a year ago we was planning the trip to Äkäslompolo ....it all still seems like yesterday. Thanks to the help of Sabrina and Brian "7 Fells Up" and "Due North Safari" everything worked perfectly from the beginning, we managed to do all 7 Fells in 9 days and also spontaneously add a snowmobile ride. Thanks to the exceptional guides, each tour turned out to be an adventure, an experience, they make you feel part of a family, they even make you forget that the weather wasn't perfect, and yes that the only part that can't be planned hehehe . And several months later the memories are still as vivid as if a few days had passed. Again a big thank you to everyone we met and if you are in the area I highly recommend you go to them to explore the Äkäslompolo region.

We did 2 tours with 7fellsup - and disussed some of their other tours. The tours were great - see below, but having professional advice on what would suite us was key to the sucess. We did the lappish dinner tour and the moderate snowshoe toptour to Kauer. Both suited for not that young beginners on snowshoes. The firm also have difficult tours, even 5 day hikes. So something for everyone. I envie the ones that are in shape for those tours, but even though we did beginner tours they were fun and beautifull adventures. Well done 7fellsup. The lappish dinner tour: Snowshoeing through the silence of the old Finnish forest was beautiful, especially with the snow falling. The highlight for me was the short quiet time to our selves at the Sami's ancient sacred rock. That was magical. Then a fun short trip back to the cozy kota, where the guide had lit the fire and warmed up the fine reindeer stew. Nice with lingonberries and pickled cucumbers ;). We were asked to use our headlamps as little as possible throughout the trip, which enhanced the experience of nature. Just one example of many that 7fellsup really focuses on details to give us a amazing experience. The top tour to Kauer: The most beautiful "walk" through the forest guided to see the animal tracks in the snow and being told about the forest and its inhabitants. On the way the guide made sure that we could do as much deepsnow snowshoing as we wanted or if less adventures (me) stay on the beaten track for most of the time. It may be beginners - but I got the excersise of the day :) ...Perfect!! And the thrill at the top. What a view to enjoy, while drinking warm juice and eating the homemade cakes served by the guide...I know - we were lucky having no wind, so we could stay long waching the the sun set, making the tour down a real twillight experience. And when it got too dark to see, the guide had headlamps for all. yet a nice detail. We felt safe, cared for and informed by 7fellsup's guide ... getting the best out of the magnificant nature at Äkaslompolo.
Gitte T — Google review
We did the trip to Kuer with our guide Anette. It was a wonderful experience, the silence of the forest and the beautiful views. Anette also had a lot to tell us about the forest, Finnish nature and which animals leave which tracks in the snow. The homemade cakes were also very tasty.

Just returned from the 5 day snowshoe hut to hut trekking and fell in love with the white, peaceful Arctic landscape! An unforgettable trip with a great group of people and our guides who took into account individual needs and made sure that everyone felt comfortable, safe and supported throughout. Food was bountiful and delicious and included many local delicacies! The accommodation in the huts very cosy with a fireplace and the highlight a sauna in the wilderness cooling down with snow angels! Last but not least...communication with Sabrina was excellent as she helped me organise my stay before and after the trip, as I stayed longer due to my flight schedule. All in all an amazing experience with great value for money!
Μaria K — Google review
We were recommended by a local guide to contact 7 Fells Up for off-trail snowshoeing tours, and it was a great tip that we happily pass on to others. We did two snowshoeing tours with them in mid March after speaking with their wonderful organizer, Sabrina. The first adventure was an evening tour to see the northern lights from a higher elevation. As the snow kept falling we were never able to see any northern lights, but it was a great opportunity to try off-trail snowshoeing in very fresh snow with our friendly guide, Adrien, who also brought along blueberry juice, Sabrina’s famous homemade cloudberry cakes, and sausages to grill over the fire in one of the area’s many “kotas”. Our second snowshoeing tour was a half-day event up one of the “fells”. Our very spirited and knowledgable Finnish guide Päivi led the way as we snowshoed off-trail upwards through the forest to a kota just below the tree line where we took a break for grilled reindeer sandwiches and more of Sabrina’s cloudberry cakes. They are to die for by the way. After that we continued up over a moonlike landscape to the top of the fell through untouched snow, beautiful sunshine and stunning panoramic views of Lapland. At the top we had a 360° view and could spot all of the other nearby fells. We then descended the mountain taking a different route while Päivi gladly told us more about the wilderness and the wildlife we were seeing, including a soaring Sea Eagle, an evasive, hard-to-spot Willow grouse and a Northern Woodpecker just meters away from us but too busy pecking for insects to pay us any attention. She also explained to us the concept of Kello trees. Both snowshoeing tours were true highlights of our trip to Ylläs, and we too highly recommend 7 Fells UP. Thank you Sabrina for everything. Vielen Dank für alles. Tusind tak!

Wow! We had an excellent snowmobile trip with Bartek, our tourguide. We were lucky with the sun on our 3 hour tour. It was just the 2 of us and we both had our own snowmobile, which I can highly recommend. It will cost a little more, but I got the time to get used to riding it so the second half of the trip I could go faster and I was enjoying it even more! We were happy with our guide. He gave good instructions and was fun to have around. Lapland safaris provided us with good gear, so it was all safe and fun to ride.

Visitors can also find a local souvenir shop with quality products. The friendly staff provides helpful advice for trekking, biking, and other trips in the area. Additionally, the center offers free parking and limited information on local trails and routes. In winter, there are snowshoe routes available from the center.
Free parking and visitor centre with limited free info on local trails and routes. Maps are paid for (€10) but most shorter trails are well marked and signposted so not really necessary unless you’re doing a longer route. In winter there are snow shoe routes from here, but most were packed down enough to be fine in normal walking boots.

It won't cost you anything, but you'll probably learn something new.

Husky Ranch Lapland is a family-owned farm in the heart of Lapland, offering unique adventures for small groups. Visitors can enjoy husky safaris and other tours around the ranch. The owners are known for their friendliness and helpfulness, providing a beautiful ride with informative guidance and ending with a cozy fire and berry tea. Guests also have the opportunity to interact with friendly dogs, including adorable puppies.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience husky sledding, and it was truly unforgettable. The adventure combined the breathtaking beauty of nature with the exhilarating energy of these amazing dogs. From the moment I arrived, the excitement was palpable. The huskies were eager and full of life, their tails wagging enthusiastically as they prepared to set off. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their work, ensuring we felt safe and well-prepared for the journey. One of the highlights was learning to steer the sled myself, under the guidance of the expert instructors. It gave me a newfound appreciation for the skill involved in managing the team of dogs and navigating the trails. The experience was not only thrilling but also deeply educational. I learned about the history and care of these hardworking dogs, as well as their unique personalities and the bond they share with their handlers. I would highly recommend husky sledding to anyone seeking a memorable and exhilarating outdoor adventure. It's an experience that stays with you long after the snow melts.

This place was truly amazing. The people that own and run the ranch are extremely friendly and helpful. They take you on a beautiful ride and teach you everything you need to know. You get a nice fire and berry tea after your ride. All the dogs are so friendly we got to play with them and even hold the new puppies.. Even after we left the owners were so kind they called us personally to tell us the auroras were out so we could see them. If you want an incredible unforgettable adventure don’t pass this place up!

The absolute best experience!! Juho and Hanna are absolutely AMAZING. So passionate and kind! Juho went out of his way to teach us about the dogs and about dog-sledding, and cook a delicious authentic meal midway. He cares so deeply about his dogs (one dog barked strangely halfway through the ride, and he immediately stopped all the sleds to make sure the dog was okay). The dogs themselves stole our hearts - so unbelievably cute and excited, happy to be hugged! We had a once-in-a-lifetime amazing time and would do this again in a heartbeat!!!! Thank you for the best time!

We had amazing activities with safartica. It is super well organized and the staff is really nice! We did the 6hours safari with snowmobiles, which was super fun, even if the snowmobiles are set to be 40km/h at maximum speed. The trip was nice and the breaks with Jules and Juliette, our guides, added something special. They cooked a delicious reindeer soup and there were fun, explaining a lot of things about the area also. Thanks a lot !

ONLY FOR NON ADVENTURES GROUPS If you want to have some fun dont expect to get it here. They take you on a snowmobile and only allow you to stay in the tracks of the one in front and have a maximum speed of 30km/hr. They better call it scootmobile with grandma dorie. If you are familiar with a snowmobile and want to make some speed or go 2m outside the track they get angry and dont let you drive. So if you are 50+ and like a calm very safe and boring ride book with them else dont waste the money and rent your own. Safe a lot of frustration. If they want to improve they should give some room for the adventures persons and tell them to play a little bit and wait at the next crossing or something.. Boring - sneeuwscooter - snowmobile

Ruoppaköngäs is a pleasant day trip destination with scenic surroundings. However, it lacks a map and route instructions for visitors to navigate easily. The path can be challenging at times, with tree roots and stones, making it difficult for small children. The main attraction of the area is the waterfall, which is most impressive during spring when the snow and ice melt. Additionally, there is a beautiful pond surrounded by rocks that offers a serene experience in nature.

It was a part of the experience of Saaga, Hotel Lapland at Yllas, Lapland, Finland. There were beautiful ice carvings, a music room, theatre, ice restaurant, glass restaurant, honeymoon suite, souvenir store and many more. The hot chocolate and different alcohol options were awesome. Every year they build the snow structures in the arrival of winters with artificial snow and it gradually melts during summer. The place has its own tour guides, who will introduce you to all the places inside. I highly recommend visiting this place.

The ice exhibit was really amazing and worth the price but just note that you have to pay for it separately, even if you're eating dinner there. The ice restaurant was also amazing, but you're really going for the experience and not necessarily the food. In full disclosure, we went on Christmas Eve and it was their first night open of the season, and it was a set menue, but 48 Euros for kids chicken nuggets and fries hurt. Adult meals were good. Ice bar in the ice exhibit was fun, unique, etc. Bottom line - it's an expensive endeavor but when you consider the insane amount of work and artistry that goes into building the place each year, you'll feel better about the cost.

Fantastic experience at a place that exists only in the most northern regions of our globe! The amount of hours and dedication spent to create this art is astonishing. Well done!

It’s something very special. I found the entrance fee of €25 very steep though. You’re basically done in 45 mins or less. Dress very warm! It’s colder inside than outside.

Awesome experience. Love the two type of the art one north mythology and one Finish. Rooms and art work looked so cool. Loved the touch of ice bar and drinks in ice glasses. There was some queue but just walk one lap and there will be no queue. Very impressive place. Staff members have great humor loved it.

Visiting here was really cool, especially for someone like me who comes from a tropical island. The talent and art was stunning and just the whole idea of them coming up with themes and finding artist from around the world to bring it all together is just fantastic. This year’s theme was the Nordic Mythology and we had so much fun on the ice slide. We also had lunch in the ice restaurant and I enjoyed the soup.
Jenita D — Google review
Very good. Awesome ice hotel. This year's theme is Nordic legend so far there's Thor's hammer made of ice. Hotel is still being built but the ice sculptures inside are amazing. Bar prices are not cheap but then you'd expect them not to be with the amount of work that's gone in to build the hotel.

Wolverine Fell Wilderness and Nature Ltd. (Kätkätunturin Erä ja Luonto Oy) offers a wide range of nature-related services for visitors throughout the year in Lapland. From ice fishing to sledge rides, the company provides diverse activities that guarantee an enjoyable experience. The organizer, Petra, ensures that guests have a great time and learn about the surroundings. The location, including the forest and lake, is stunning and well-maintained by her family.
We spent a few wonderful hours as a family with our three children fishing by a small lake near Levi, right at the end of the Lapland autumn, just a day before the lake froze! Petra was absolutely amazing. She explained fishing to the kids in such a simple, fun, and engaging way. They loved every minute of it! Our 8-year-old daughter caught the only fish of the day and proudly received a little fishing certificate from Petra, such a lovely touch. Afterwards, we got to enjoy that delicious rainbow trout cooked over an open fire in Petra’s cozy hut. She had also prepared a wonderful blueberry cake for us. Petra showed us the different edible berries growing in the surrounding nature and shared so many funny and interesting stories. She’s warm, kind, and full of life. We absolutely loved this experience, it was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you so much, Petra! 💙

we visited this place, considering that if it appears on google maps as an attraction, it can be visited. we entered by car on a road where there was a barrier, which was open and on which there was a forbidden sign and with mentions in the local language (not in English). considering that if the barrier is open and not understanding what it said, we passed the barrier and arrived at our destination. the location was closed, so we walked the children with sleds on the road that connected the main road and the attraction. After about 10 minutes a lady came, who from her attitude seemed to be the owner of the attraction area and started to argue with us about what we were doing there and that we had not booked any tour on their website, mentioning that the road is private property and that we had no business there. I explained to her that I did not understand what was written on the signs and that the barrier was open, which implies that it is open to public traffic. He didn't understand us and kept his offensive attitude. We apologized and left the area immediately. It wasn't the most pleasant experience and we don't recommend visiting the attraction. I think they are just trying to get money, without any empathy for the customers.

We had a wonderful time at Wolverine Fell. It was once in a lifetime experience for us coming from Asia . We are a group of 7 and visited early Dec. We didn't managed to do the reindeer sleigh & snowshoeing due to low snowfall. The owner, Petra was very upfront about it and let us have the options to refund or replace the reindeer ride with a sled pulled by snowmobile and up close & personal with the reindeer. Since we have been looking forward to this tour, we went for it and we had a ball! Petra was awesome and has a great sense of humour that makes the tour stands out. We had 101 lesson about reindeer & she brought us through the forest to learn about Lapland nature. She's very experienced and explained everything in details. Our first try on ice fishing and she patiently guide us through and we caught 2 fishes for lunch! Thanks to her tip for a good catch! She gave magnets souvenir to the kids as they can't get to do the reindeer ride. It was a very thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended!

Ice fishing on the frozen lake was the first thing we're here for. We caught 2 fish and Petra prepared our fresh fish and grilled for us ... lovely! The fishing area was a place located among snowy mountains, serene nature, and so remote that it felt peaceful.By the way we enjoyed the snow shoeing and the scenery around the lake and especially on top of the hill is jaw-droppingly beautiful. We experienced a sleigh ride with these adorable well trained creatures. They will let you feed the reindeer as well 🤩 They escort us with snowmobile back&fourth to make sure everything's well & we all have a safe trip. We do enjoy the refreshments, delicious Finnish Salmon soup and hot juice and coffee/tea prepared by the tour guide via the owner at their cozy cottage next to the fishing lake . The sleighs are covered with warm reindeer hides, and you will be covered with a hides as well. And if you do not fall from the reindeer sleigh and ride well you'll earn reindeer driving liscence :D Finally the couple via tour guide Petra and Kari are very friendly and the wifey Petra have a very good sense of humor ! Splendid ! Highly recommended 👌🏼👍🏻

Had a great experience with Petra and the staff. The ride was very special and the whole day we spent there was very informative and interesting. Loved it!

One of the best activities in Lapland to go for a ride with the reindeers into the forest. They run really fast in the snow around 30 kilometer/Hour. You can touch them and you have also a break into a teepee to take some sausages and glogi. it is really nice and people very friendly.

Went out in February for a sledge ride and a burger. Lots of fun and Petra was very awesome with booking a last minute option. Best to book in advance but we got lucky :) Also, make sure you have actual gloves. Frost bite can easily happen.

A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience for someone like us, coming from the equator. We did the reindeer sleigh ride, ice fishing and snowshoe experience, learnt an awful lot from the well-learned, experienced and welcoming guide. I would definitely visit again, and bring along my friends.

Amazing experience & you can see the dogs are well cared for such lovely people also! We had a great morning, we stayed in Levi & I organised this trip before going 100 percent recommend! Thank you 🐶

I really enjoyed this safari! The dogs were amazing and the owners story is quite delightful to hear. They take excellent care of them and you can tell that they’re wet passionate about being their owners. Having come from a very warm climate, we also appreciated that they have warm gear for us to get dressed in as well. I would say make sure your toes are warm as mines got quite chilly during the safari. It was a delight to be treated with some warm soup, a doughnut and some coffee or tea. Thank you!

Great experience and totally worth it! We did the 10km self drive with my wife and they allow you to swap over half way to share the experience of mushing. If i was to do it again i would definitely go for a longer one. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The husky’s look well looked after and are all really friendly. After you finish they take you into the hut for a hot drink in front of the fire to warm up!

We had fun. It was kinda cold, -16C, but they offered very warm blankets. Dogs look very good, they are healthy and seemed very excited about their job. After the ride, we had a nice warm juice near the fire place.

We had an amazing expierence with the husky’s today! The owner and staff were very sweet and had a lot of information to share about the dogs. If you are in Levi and are searching for a professional and fun husky expierence, I would defininetly recommend this one!

Thank you so much for a great experience! Everything was exactly like your description on your homepage. A driver picked us up at the touristinformation in Levi. After a 20 min. drive you had a warm welcome for us. Some of us put on one of the worm overalls and worm boots (I can recomment both). You gave us an introduction how to behave in the sled and what to do when something unexpected happens. We were really looking foward to start… Arriving at the sleds it was very loud-because the dogs were as excited as we.. It was a fantastic ride, we felt save in every single moment and enjoyed the wonderful nature with a lot of fresh snow. Of course the ride ended too early… After saying „Thank you“ to the dogs and cuddling the puppies we took the chance to ask many questions while worming up closed to the fire, before the taxi brought ist back.

It was an amazing experience in Lapland. Huskies were crazy at running and they liked cuddles as well. Guiding and hospitality were amazing too. Thank you and I can recommend this experience to everyone! 😍🐶❄️

Very helpful and friendly staff. Katja is great, we organized every tour with her. Stefania was great at making children's dream come true. Thank you very much. We will return.

Worst place to get info on Northern light. It was our honeymoon we were looking for northern light. They were unable to give us any advice, where to book. Worst they told us than the sky was blurry so we had almost no chance to see it. We had to go in all the private tourist place to book some tour where we could see amazing northern lights with a snow mobile

Booking team are super helpful, and nice people. Harri went above and beyond for us on the Northern lights and Star Gazing tour. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He is very flexible on time so we actually ended up being with him for 4 hours. This whole experience has been amazing.

The views and pistes are great. The resort as a whole is beautiful and there's fun for everyone. To many tbars and too few chairlifts for my taste.

Not perfectly managed at all. We wanted 10km Husky Safari with a baby and they just said we don’t have that available even thought they claimed working with all husky providers in the area. So they told us to call to all providers on our own and figure out if we get what we wanted. So is that really so??? And yes surprisingly I managed to find perfect safari for us and our baby and there were places left even for Christmas rides. So thanks to me we got a perfect husky ride in the end but the tourist information office or staff didn’t do much service since even the phone numbers we got from them were wrong.

Best Service you could imagine. All Events are booked at the time slot we liked. Also make the HuskyTour available at afternoon, at the same day. And Ice Karting was some of the best Events we have ever make...

Some of the nicest staff I've ever met (who really tied the whole experience together and made it lovely); all the animals were very cool, friendly and easy to feed and pet. The whole experience was incredibly cozy; fantastic for kids and adults alike. Hope to visit again one day!

We were a group of four adults and two children (3 and 6 years old) who absolutely loved the farm. It has nordic cattle, reindeer, bunny rabbits, goats, horses, sheep, chicken and a nice little play area in the snow for kids (and adults if you like) and we got a small introduction by the owner. All this for only 8 Euros per person! Must visit if you are in Levi <3

Kimmo and Paula offer a great Finnish Lapland homestay experience. They brought us around the Laplands and cooked us sumptous, traditional Finnish food. There's lots to do here. The house is beautiful and they are very hospitable. Definitely recommended! More than just a bed and breakfast.
