Tours
Abisko Adventure offers a small group tour with a maximum of 6 people, providing the opportunity to climb the ice wall multiple times. Additionally, between the end of February and middle of March, visitors can also climb the waterfall in Abisko Canyon. The experience is suitable for both beginners and those with previous climbing experience. The guide, Aril, is highly praised for being friendly and ensuring everyone feels safe throughout the adventure.
We did the ice climbing with our two teenagers. Anna was our guide and was so delightful! She really took care of us and motivated us to try our hardest to get up the waterfall. We left feeling very accomplished and respectful of those that participate in the sport. Very happy to have done this adventure!

We had a wonderful experience with Abisko Adventures! Aril arranged everything and our guide Alex was sensational. We had a truly incredible time with Alex both at night, chasing and finding sensational sightings of the Aurora, and during the day, exploring the Norwegian fjords. He put his whole heart into it, and found the northern lights in five different locations despite snow and rain. He is incredibly knowledgeable and knows every corner of Abisko. Great company and great people! Highly recommended.
Donna N — Google review
We had a great day ice climbing a waterfall with Anna. She kept us safe, the views were incredible, & ice climbing was challenging but fun. We have very little experience climbing, especially in snow, and managed to climb a decent bit. It is physically demanding, so be prepared for a workout. Please also note we went to a harder location (the canyon) than most groups, but with better views. We definitely would take a trip with Anna again!
Steve M — Google review
Very nice ice climbing experience with Anna! The activity is beginner friendly. Anna ensured that we climb safely and told us all the good technics. We had a small group during the morning which was also great!
Mélanie C — Google review
We did the morning snow shoe experience with Aril. We had a fantastic morning. Aril was so fun, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He set the pace according to our group’s ability and we made it to a local viewpoint. All the while he pointed out animal tracks, bushcraft techniques, geographical features, historical and modern land uses. I would highly recommend this tour for an introduction to being out in the Abisko wilderness.

Ice climbing was not only fun but exciting for a first-timer like me! The instructor, Anna, was not only patient but also very clear with her instructions. She was very kind to let me use her extra pair of gloves when mine got wet. I was fortunate to be in an all-female small group and Anna was very encouraging towards everyone with each climb we did. I would highly recommend!!!
Angie F — Google review
Thank you again Anna & Robin, the ice climbing was a super experience. We were very beginners and would 100% recommend it ! Thank you for your advices and for making today a day that we will remember 🙏. Antoine & Hélène

A unique and fun experience! Arel is super kind and patient and an encouraging teacher. Neither of us had ever been ice climbing before and so it is very doable and enjoyable for beginners. 100% recommend!

Our guide Marcus was excellent, he gaged the ability of the group and adjusted the tour accordingly meaning we all had an excellent time. It was amazingly beautiful and pretty chilly but we got to stop for a warm drink and snack. I would absolutely recommend booking a snowmobiling trip!

Just had a great snowmobile tour with guide Fábio from "Activities in Abisko". Although he is not Swedische but Portugese, he was very knowligable about many things in the national park. But had also many other fun facts for us. I'd really recommend this company and guide.

I just had a blast joining the Snowshoe activity with Anna and Ben. These two created a really nice atmosphere, patiently helped us with the snowshoes and showed us a very nice spot for walking including a breathtaking view and a detour on a frozen lake. The icing on the cake was that we even saw the Northern Lights on our afternoon walk. Definitely something, you should try out.

★★★★★ What an incredible experience! The snowmobile tour was absolutely fantastic—breathtaking views, a thrilling ride, and an all-around unforgettable adventure. Our guide, Fabio, made it even better. Super chill, great to talk with, and full of interesting stories. He made sure we had the best time while keeping everything smooth and enjoyable. Hands down, the best experience ever! We’ll definitely be back and hope to ride with Fabio again :)

We did the snowmobile tour with this company and Fabio was our guide. The ride was awesome, the terrain was incredible, and most importantly, Fabio was amazing! He is humourous and he has lots of interesting stories. We had the best snowmobile ride here in abisko!

On December 22, 2024, I went on a snowmobile tour and was very excited! After being kitted out with the necessary winter clothing and a clear technical briefing on the vehicle, we set off. We were only a very small group, which made the whole experience very enjoyable because the guide was able to respond well to our needs. The tour went at a leisurely pace over hills and smaller mountains to beautiful viewpoints nearby. Which was just about all we could manage due to the pace and the already quite dusky time of day (the tour started at 2 pm). I really enjoyed the experience! All the information we received about the landscape and the snowmobiling itself was just great. Thanks to the young man in the photo (unfortunately I can't remember his name 😞) for a great experience!

Great snowmobile tour with Fabio. Apart from being extremely outgoing, Fabio is also very knowledgeable of the area, providing interesting facts along the way. Loved it and will return next year!

We booked the morning skidoo tour. It was unique and amazing. We were only a group of four. Anna was our tour guide. She was super friendly and our tour was around 3-4 hours. From the morning light to the sunset and a bit in the dark. We were all super excited. Anna did a great job showing us the beauty of the wildness of her home Sweden. And we could meet her friendly dog Scout and his friends. <3 What a day it was. :-)

Lappland Media & Photo Adventures - Northern Lights Holidays in Abisko and Lapland

Tour operator
Tours
Lappland Media & Photo Adventures offers an unforgettable experience in Abisko, a remote region 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle with only 100 residents. This destination is renowned for its spectacular Northern Lights viewing and rich Swedish Lapland culture. The tour is perfect for wanderlust travelers and aspiring photographers seeking to capture the beauty of the aurora.
Took a 4 Day Photography Tour with Peter to try and see the northern lights and ended up getting so much more. Peter is an expert in his field, and a person who offers his knowledge and shares the most wonderful places to take Northern Light Photos. He knows how to read the weather to decide where to go, to get the best chance of spotting Auroras, which led us to being very lucky and seeing them 3/4 nights. But even if the lights wouldn't dance, the program of the tour was wonderful. The Abisko Valley and Kiruna offer gorgeous views, wildlife spotting opportunities and the ice hotel felt like the visit to a museum sprinkled in between. Not once did we get a boring minute, from trying to find a hormonal capercaillie, to distinguishing ptarmigan from snowballs, riding a dog sleigh over a frozen river and having fika in the middle of a lake or being awestruck by mountain reflections in a Norwegian fjord. This tour left me wanting for nothing but a bit more time to soak it all in. Highly recommend. If you want to see and photograph Lapland, this is your guy.
Myriam F — Google review
Peter was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, patient, flexible, creative and friendly are some of the adjectives that come to mind. With a background in science and photography, he has a wealth of experience and knowledge, both basic and esoteric, such that he is able to explain and expound upon the things we saw and experienced in a way that people with all levels of knowledge and sophistication can understand and learn. On our late February/early March trip we saw the Aurora Borealis from several perspectives and came to well understand the variables that influence what the eye and the camera see. We saw many moose, some reindeer, ptarmigan, and even spotted a red fox. Beyond the Aurora, the snowmobiling and dogsledding were highlights (thanks Irina at Outback Abisko and Leah at Kiruna Dogsled!). We enjoyed a visit to the IceHotel where Peter explained the engineering and artistry that go into constructing the hotel every year. During a day's excursion to Norway to take in some of the fjords, we learned about the Sami people, their culture and history. We felt well cared-for at every step and would highly recommend Peter/LapplandMedia to anyone considering a visit to that part of the world.

I've just come back from a 6 day tour with Peter Rosen and it was seriously an awesome trip filled with ticking off many bucket list items. We went dog sledding, reindeer sledding, saw the aurora lights, ice hotel and more! Peter is also very well known in the places we visited and you could tell from the way people treated our group. I'm also into photography and Peter gave our group of six people a camera each and also had some serious lenses and camera bodies in his kit for those that wanted it. Even though I've been into photography for over a decade, I still learnt a lot from Peter who is a professional photographer. But if you're not confident in photography but still interested, he's also a good teacher and very patient. For the photographers out there he had wide lenses for landscape pics and tele-lenses for animals. Overall, I'm really happy with the photos I took on the tour because of Peter's help! He was also a biologist previously, so he's very knowledgable and passionate about the animals and nature. Very educational! We were also introduced to the indigenous Sami people which I knew very little of before but was an enlightening experience hearing their history. The different accomodation we had was also very good and had no problems with it. Also while dog sledding at night, I accidentally forgot to zip my jacket pocket and my phone had fallen out without me noticing until we arrived back at camp around midnight. I was distraught but Peter took me along the path on his ski mobile and we searched much of the night for it. We didn't find my phone in the end but I'm still appreciative of Peter after a long day that he would help me out still. Highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking about it and wish to be more out there with nature. Peter is a great tour guide and we still keep in touch even now we're home.

If you have ever wanted to see the Northern Lights and want the chance to see them in a breath-taking and awe-inspiring place then book with Peter and his team and visit this stunning part of Sweden. Practical things like advice on clothing to bring and what will be provided plus info about camera kit all sorted in advance. Dietary requirements sorted without fuss and food was superb (I asked for a vegan menu). Nothing is too much trouble. Activities are fantastic - dog sledding, reindeer sledding, watching moose in the wild, visiting the Ice Hotel and just being in the landscape. I left part of my heart in Sweden - I expected to be emotional when I saw the aurora but the place touched my soul with its quiet beauty, its lovely and graceful people and winter in all of its glory. I loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

This photography tour with Peter was absolutely amazing. As an amateur I had heaps of help and got some fantastic photos at the most beautiful locations. I can't recommend Peter's tours highly enough. Well worth travelling half way round the world to experience this and I would do it again in a heartbeat. And you will see the northern lights - Peter has had 100% success rate on his tours as he is a local so knows how to chase them. Book up now - you won't regret it. Jackie Australia

A must for wanderlust travellers and aspiring photographers. We had an amazing time with Peter who is such a sincere and modest person. Chasing the aurora can be challenging, but finding the best spots for a beautiful composition is what makes this tour special and unique. Be aware that this is a photography oriented tour. Our goal was to learn a bit more about shooting at night and Peter, who is a knowledgeable photographer, took every bit of time to show us some tips & tricks in post processing. Apart from that Peter went out of his way to accommodate all of his guests wishes, as there were some with a lesser interest in photography and more for massages and spa's. Even then Peter managed to organise a full packed itinerary and keep everyone happy. Biggest highlight for us was being out with the dogs all morning and even a full evening. Some of our best photos were with the sled dogs in the composition. Things feel more authentic and less touristy when your enjoying hot tea in a tipi with a fireplace. We left with great experiences and new friends and would recommend this tour to our family and friends. Thanks again Peter!
Willis M — Google review
Peter was a gun from the very beginning. We spent 6 days together on a private tour with the family. Peter was so personable and patient. He was very flexible and passionate about what he does - and it definitely showed! We were generously provided with professional cameras and lots of cool lenses to use on our daily activities. Even if there wasn't an aurora to chase that night, there was always something else to do. My highlight would have been the private dog-sledding tours that we did during the day and again at night. So unique and priceless! Having Peter lead us around these 6 days, you could really see the rapport and support he had from the local community and businesses - they all knew who he was and would treat us well because of him! Peter was always patient in explaining how to use the camera, and also the theories behind the auroras. So knowledgeable! I have learned so much and done so many things that I would never have done if it weren't for this tour! Unforgettable and priceless experience. Thank you Peter!!
Bianca W — Google review
I highly recommend Peter of Lappland Media and appreciated all his efforts in helping myself and my family have an unforgettable holiday. In fact, I have already started recommending Peter by word of mouth back home and I share the same to you as well if you are currently reading this and considering taking one of his tours! Prior to joining Peter's tour, I had no photography experience and am generally a slow moving traveller. I had never imagined seeing any auroras or being able to travel to such a northern part of the world (as I usually don't adapt well to cold climates coming from the Southern Hemisphere). Peter really accommodated for me personally and made this tour an adventure I will never forget. One of the best characteristics of having Peter as a tour guide is his attention to detail. Aside from his incredible skills as a photographer and his vast wealth of knowledge in almost everything related to the things/activities you see and do, he was so accommodating in all the little things throughout the tour. Examples of this include: the cold weather clothing and gear he provided (which saved me from catching a cold!), the quality of accommodation and food vendors he partners with, the drinks he offers, casual conversations over meals, even down to sourcing a hairdryer for us at one of the accommodation spots. Peter is also very adaptable and patient. He attempts to accommodate for every member in his tour group, regardless of your travel style and/or interests. I appreciated the fact that Peter was very patient with me when I would ask him the same basic photography related question at least 5 times. He would also offer other activities that were not included in the regular program to accommodate for individual interests. Something that surprised me was that I enjoyed using the telephoto lens and taking photos of moose. I also thoroughly enjoyed reindeer and dog sledding, as well as the conversations I would have with the locals in the lavvus at various stops in the tour. Ultimately, we were able to see an Aurora on more than one occasion and that was pretty amazing. Every few hours each day, I observed Peter keeping an eye on the relevant data to ensure he would be able to help our group catch the best Aurora that night. He would always have all his photography equipment ready to go and a few hot drinks on the side. He was always many steps ahead and ready to chase the Aurora. Thankyou Peter for a once in a lifetime great experience!

10/10 morning hike at Abisko national park with Lights over Lapland guide Felix! Easy for leisure hikers like me, yet bringing you to amazing viewpoints along the hiking trail. We had a lucky day with great weather which was a bonus. Felix is an experienced/ professional guide who provided loads of good insights on the habitat around us. Managed to capture some spectacular shots too! Would definitely be back here next time!

What an unforgettable experience in Abisko with Lights over Lapland! We joined the 4-night Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase and were impressed from the very start. Despite gloomy skies on our first night, the guides’ dedication was remarkable. We drove nearly an hour east and checked multiple spots to find clear skies. It truly reassured us how committed they were to helping everyone see the northern lights. After that, we had 3 amazing nights with different Aurora shows. A huge thank-you to Sara, who went above and beyond: scouting the best viewing spots, helping with camera setups, keeping us warm, and ensuring we enjoyed every moment. Thanks to her, we witnessed a breathtaking Aurora Corona dancing overhead for over 30 minutes, a moment we’ll never forget (staying out well past the end of the tour!). We also loved the morning hike to Lake Torneträsk and the delta with Felix, a 2-hour walk surrounded by breathtaking autumn views. It was both relaxing and enriching. Overall, Lights over Lapland made this an exceptional experience. You might think you can chase the lights on your own, but having expert guides who understand the terrain, weather, and microclimates makes all the difference. Truly the best decision of our trip - highly recommended!

What an absolutely amazing experience! Lights Over Lapland put together a tour package that was incredible. Four nights at the Abisko STF, winter coveralls, cameras, tripods, a guided hike in the Abisko National Park, and a guided chase of Northern Lights each night. Luckily we caught them in all their glory 2 nights and partially 1 night. Our communication with Jeanette and Rachel before and during our trip was excellent. They answered all of our questions promptly and I had many. Our nightly guide, Felix, was so knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed his company. Gavin, who led another group, was happy to help with our camera equipment and answer any questions. Sara, a laid back world traveler, took us on a very memorable hike. Her passion for the outdoors was evident. We thank you all for making this bucket list trip one we will always remember fondly.

Felix was our Northern Lights guide — professional, friendly, and passionate. He patiently helped us set up our cameras and shared fascinating knowledge about the aurora. On the last day, it rained in Abisko, but he drove us away from the clouds in search of clear skies. Sara was our hiking guide and led us along a stunning trail where we enjoyed breathtaking lake reflections. She’s also an excellent photographer!

Amazing stay, based at the Tourist Station in the Abisko National Park. Brilliant service by Lights over Lapland with all enquiries, prior and post booking, answered promptly & efficiently by email and use of the app. Info about what to bring, activities & travel arrangements was exceedingly helpful. Wonderful morning hike from the Tourist Station, led by Felix, who shared lots of info about the wildlife, nature, landscape and seasons at Abisko. The highlight for me was being at the river delta with the sunshine bringing out amazing Autumn colours, and walking across the river to the waters edge of the lake. For 4 nights of the Abisko Autumn Aurora Chase, we were EXCEEDINGLY well looked after by Sara, with prebooked cameras, tripods, backpacks, headtorches & overalls all provided with fabulous instruction & constant support while out at night, and her knowledge of local locations resulted in seeing the aurora AND getting great pics for 3 out of 4 nights. Couldn't fault anything!! Thanks to Sara, Felix and all at Lights Over Lapland who worked so hard for us <3

We enjoyed our Abisko National Park Scenic Morning Hike with our wonderful guide Gavin so much so that we decided to book the Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase the same night to continue exploring what Abisko has to offer with Gavin and the LoL team and guests! It was a really beautiful and educational hike, and Gavin was really lovely, knowledgeable, kind and patient throughout. Having a photography background, Gavin was also able to bring us to great spots for beautiful photos! We also even tried out walking on a frozen part of the lake! The Northern Lights chase at night was exciting and we’re so glad we managed to catch the northern lights (our first time ever!) with the expertise, strategic planning, and patience of Gavin and Miquel (and with a bit of luck given the weather). We also enjoyed some snacks and warm lingonberry juice over fire to end the magical night. Thanks Gavin, Miquel and the team at LoL for such magical experience!

The Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase was a fantastic experience! A big shoutout to our guide Sara Brockmann. She was amazing. Super friendly, and very knowledgeable about history, lifestyle and nature of the region. She helped us with camera settings to make sure we got those stunning photos of the northern lights, which was awesome. We saw the lights at the first try right on the shore of Torneträsk lake, surrounded by incredible scenery. After the chase, we all sat around a cozy fire, and she brought out gingerbread cookies and hot lingonberry juice, perfect after a cold night! On our way back to Abisko, we stopped for one last peek at the sky from the Abisko Turiststation a truly magical view. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun, a marvelous experience with an awesome guide!

We had an amazing time joining the Lights over Lapland AB autumn aurora-chasing tour. In particular, our guide Sara Brockmann was truly responsible and trustworthy. She led us to a perfect lakeside spot where we witnessed multiple displays of the northern lights. Even more special, I proposed to my girlfriend there. Sara thoughtfully took photos for us — and, of course, she took great photos for everyone, not just us. She also prepared a cozy campfire, warm lingonberry juice, and gingerbread cookies to keep us warm. All in all, thanks to Sara’s help, we had an absolutely wonderful night. Finally, we wish everyone traveling to Abisko to see the aurora good weather and clear skies!

Abisko National Park is a stunning and diverse destination, offering a range of activities from hiking to winter sports. The park boasts well-equipped mountain huts and beautifully planned trails for visitors to explore. With its breathtaking vistas, including the Nallo Valley, and the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights, it's an essential stop in Sweden.
Beautiful area for wildlife and walking. Weather very changeable so need sunhat jumper waterproofs and sturdy boots!

This is actually more than five stars. You should go there in summer. Otherwise there is only snow to see. In summer it's such a paradise. If you're living in Sweden add this to your bucket list. The road view is fantastic and extremely beautiful. I give five Stars to Abisko waterfall too. Here I have attached some photos for you. You have to take a hike there. Be ready for it. If I saw something ugly, it was big annoying mosquitos all around me asking me to feed them. If I didn't hold tight, sure they take me with them 🤣.

Abisko national Park has a lot of different paths to walk, each offering a great view no matter the time of year. Went in the autumn before the snow came, and the landscape here is truly unique. A must see in swedish Lapland.

We didn't know about this place and stopped here by an accident – we say a river with a mighty stream. We took a walk along the canyon and discovered the trails, and another waterfall. The place is very picturesque on a sunny day, the water is cristal blue and we were lucky to see it in its full.

Great hiking trails along the river but I don’t recommend to hike the King’s trail in the summer. Lots of mosquitoes around the wet area.

Here is some information about Abisko National Park: Location: Abisko National Park is located in the Swedish province of Lapland, within Kiruna Municipality, about 195 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. It is situated near the border with Norway, on the shores of Lake Torneträsk. Landscape: The park features a stunning alpine landscape with a valley surrounded by the Abisko Alps. The Abiskojåkka river flows through the valley and a dramatic canyon. The area is characterized by birch forests, alpine meadows, and permafrost terrain. Key Attractions and Activities: Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis): Abisko is considered one of the best places in the world to view the Northern Lights due to its unique microclimate, which often results in clear skies. The Aurora Sky Station, accessible by a chairlift on Mount Nuolja, provides an excellent vantage point. Midnight Sun: Being well within the Arctic Circle, the park experiences the Midnight Sun during the summer months, a period of continuous daylight. Hiking: The park is the starting point (or end point) for the famous Kungsleden (The King's Trail), a 440-kilometer hiking trail that traverses the Scandinavian mountain range. There are also many shorter, well-maintained trails for day hikes. Other Activities: Depending on the season, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, dog-sledding, and ice fishing. Wildlife: The park's fauna includes animals such as reindeer and moose. Smaller herbivores like lemmings are also present. Predators that may be found in the area include golden eagles, brown bears, polar foxes, lynx, and wolverines, though sightings are not guaranteed. The park is also known for its rich birdlife.

Beautiful in winter, there are many winter hikes available, worth a visit, even if you don’t get the chance to see the aurora!
Natalia S — Google review
Beautiful park offering 5 walking trails. A perfect spot to view the northern lights. There's a tourist information center including a small restaurant next to the park's starting point.

Aurora Sky Station

Aurora Sky Station, located in Swedish Lapland, is a mountaintop observation center renowned for its spectacular views of the Northern Lights. Accessible via a 20-minute chairlift ride from Abisko National Park, visitors can enjoy guided night tours with the option of savoring Swedish fika or indulging in a four-course meal. In addition to being an ideal spot for witnessing the aurora borealis during winter, it also offers breathtaking vistas and midnight sun sightings during summer months.
Overall, after it was all said and done, we had an amazing experience. But the lead-up to it was pretty stressful and confusing. We only participated in the activity--we didn't stay at the Turistation hotel, so we only had the information we received via email and on the confirmation to go on. There needs to be better instructions on how to get to the Turistation and what to expect on the tour. We thought the only way to get from Abisko Mountain Lodge to the Turistation was to take a taxi, but we learned later that there were other options. Our taxi fell through so we had to WALK-45 minutes in the freezing cold. We were not expecting that. The Google map took us to the train station, not the hotel, so we ended up walking an extra 20 minutes. Getting home was really stressful. I couldn't find a taxi company that would pick us up at 01:30 and had NO IDEA there was a BUS!!! The tour details only say that the tour ends at 01:30. It doesn't say anywhere that you can end the tour whenever you want! We saw options for transportation between 23:30 and midnight but didn't think those would be options for us since the tour wasn't supposed to end until after 01:00. It wasn't clearly stated that we would be given a thermal suit to wear. I figured it out at the last minute but it wasn't clear if there would be storage space for any items we wanted or needed to remove before putting on the suit. I tried emailing STF with my questions but the responses weren't helpful. The transportation bit is key! We were so stressed that we wouldn't be able to get to the meeting point on time and that we might forfeit our tour and the HIGH COST as well. We ended up having to walk back to Abisko town at the end of the tour as well. It was SO COLD and not the easiest walk, even though the path is fairly well lit. The food at the dinner was delicious and we met some nice people sitting at the long table. The sky station is super cozy and warm inside, so it's the ideal place to be able to pop outside to see the lights when/if they happen, and then pop back inside when you get cold. The chair lift experience was quite an adventure, too. We got lucky and saw lights on our night, so that made the entire experience worth it.

Great experience. Reached there by cable chair lift during mid-summer time, single digit temperature. I can see the beautiful lake; I can feel the snow on the mountain which is melting slowly. Good for hiking, but need professional shoes and maps, paths showing on Google Maps are not precise enough.
Wei G — Google review
Amazing hike, it rained a bit but clear views and fresh water too! The cafe is great!
Tapiwa Y — Google review
I visited the sky station in December 2021. Sadly, it was cloudy that day. Even after waiting till almost 1 am, I didn't get the chance to see the dancing lights. The sky cleared up for a moment, thus got a glimpse of the green light. The most amazing part of the trip was definitely taking the chairlift through the dark to the top of the mountain. The tour guide showed the way from the STF to the base of the station, where everyone was given a warm overall and a pair of boots. It gets extremely cold while going up the mountain on the open chairlift. The sky station is quite cozy and nicely decorated. There is a cafe inside. The tour included a presentation about aurora. A lifetime experience indeed.
Afroza M — Google review
20 minutes up 900ft to the Café, it's a very peaceful ride, and the view of course is just breathtaking. If you're not going up there to ski, you can relax and watch people weaving through the blanket of snow. The staff are lovely. The Café experience is a little unique. I highly recommend. It's worth the trek 🏔😌
April A — Google review
Nice experience taking chairlift up to the station at Mt Nuolja. Took around 30mins. No sighting of the northern lights though. Kudos to the guide for clear explanation of lights and its myths. We remained at the station and chose not to hike further up due to cold weather (-18c). A good alternative is to go up spiraling case to top of building.
Kevin Y — Google review
Best scenic view Take the open chair ride to the mountain and then sat down at the open view deck and enjoy/ relax We walked down to Aurora sky station from Abisko guest house. It was approx 4 Km trail and you can view a canyon during the journey

Wonderful resort, with cozy and functional cabins (with private sauna!!). The staff are welcoming and helpful, the common areas are clean and comfortable. You can rent all the skiing and hiking equipment on the premises, and it's a great place for aurora hunting. A word of advise tho - bring your own linen and loo roll!! The ones they supply (at least in the cabins) are like cheap and rough like sandpaper. Would totally recommend for anyone seeking accommodation with a great view and easy access to the national park and all its beauty 🏞️

Location is great for hiking etc. outdoor activities. The campsite is not particularly nice for people with tents, most of the ground is gravel (so good for caravans and mobile homes). The service building has good basic facilities but the reception is up at the hotel on the hillside.
Jani K — Google review
The cabins are overpriced with no view at all (most of them). All I could see was the neighbouring cabins, and it was sold with "nice view to the fjells & the lake". Good hiking opportunities, good view if you just go out from the cabin village (stugbyn). Pictured: "the view" from the main window.
Nienna L — Google review
Stayed in cabin 81, one of their more luxurious ones. It was overall a great experience. Nice rooms, nice hot tub, sauna and what not. The stove window was not cleaned though so the live fire didn't bring the coziness it should. The Julbord was great, one of the better ones I've had. Five stars to the restaurant. I mean, even the kale was wonderful

The hotel may be ok, but the campsite is quite dusty and the camping pitches are not really nice, there is only one service house and for check in and check out you have to go to the hotel reception about 1 km away Campsite away. The nature around the hotel is very nice and you can make some great walks around this place

If I could give 6 stars I would! An absolutely incredible day from the pick up from town in a comfortable van by Aaron right to the end. It was a stunning hour drive to the farm and with some really quick and clear instruction by Anna we were out on the dogs in no time. After a long and beautiful run up and down hills we returned to the house for lunch and to get to know our hosts. They were kind and friendly and taught us all about the dogs and life as a musher. We loved that it was a small group of only 8 and out in the mountains meant our tour went ahead on a stunning blue sky day whilst many larger tours were cancelled. Do not hesitate to book with Northern Light Dog Adventures! Thank you Thomas, Aaron and Anna!

So many german reviews so i write one in english - not my first language so please be kind. Now the actual review: That was absolutly awesome! We pre booked another Tour from another company but it got cancelled on us last minute because of the autum rain. So we decided to book one day before having this Tour and cakled about cancelation but they were like: we don't cancel unless there is a hazard warnung. Eventhough it was raining cats and dogs it was an absolute Highlight of our Trip! They Provide you with warerproof Equipment, so don't worry about a thing. The dogs want to run and are super friendly, as well are the owners. We had such a great time and hope to return in Winter with snow :)

Completely exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our trip to Tromso! The whole service; from the explanations, conversation, extra clothing, teas and coffees after the sledding was absolutely perfect! I really enjoyed how you could ride yourself and it wasn’t just on flat ground, you were going up and down hills as well. Such an adventure, I will carry this memory with me for the rest of my life! Everyone in the family is so lovely also.
Iris D — Google review
We had such a great time on this tour. It's a small norwegean family business tucked away in the mountains. So no tourist trap. Even though it snowed a lot we could drive the sled for one hour. What an amazing feeling being out there with these lovely dogs and driving the sled by yourself. Uphill you need to help them a bit so you need to have a little bit of fitness. The mountains around, just stunning. I can recommend it to anyone!!! It's an experience you'll never forget in your life.

Fantastic experience, authentic and beautiful location. Tomas and team keep it simple and make it memorable. The dogs are the stars of the show! Don’t forget to take a lunch and wear comfortable clothing - but good quality oversuits are provided. This is a small family business and well worth supporting - they’re the best!
Nick W — Google review
Fantastic! Exceeded all expectations. The team was great and we learned a lot about the sport. Everything was well prepared and ready to go before we arrived. They had additional clothes and provided warm drinks for after the sledding. The dogs are super friendly and well cared for. Would definitely return to do this again!
Ben G — Google review
Northern Light Dog Adventure does an exceptionally well dogsledding experience. These guys take pride in providing a small group experience and when we went it was just my wife and I which was great because they were able to personalize the experience to suite us. We took the sleds through all types of different, beautiful and challenging terrain and even took us to create new trails! The dogs seem very well taken care of too. If you enjoy the "real" experience, small groups and don't enjoy the large tourist traps this is the place for you.

This is a must visit place if you in the area. Thomas and his furry children made the ride smooth and worry free. Amazing views. Everything is well organized, instructions given were clear. Just use common sense, natural balance, control the speed and enjoy the ride.

Polar Park

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Polar Park is a family-friendly zoo and polar park located about two hours away from Tromso. It offers large enclosures where visitors can observe arctic fauna such as wolves, brown bears, lynx, arctic foxes, elk, reindeer, musk-oxen, roe deer and moose. The park also provides guided tours for a more informative experience.
What a great place. We were lucky to be there on a Viking cruise with a guide who was feeding along the way and informing us of the different animals. We got to hear the wolves howl and see most of all the creatures in the natural habitats!!!
Jep R — Google review
The only good thing about this park was that the animals had a lot of space, it was really nice to see. However, it is way overpriced for what you actually got to see. The goats and sheep were right near the entrance and you could even go into the goat enclosure if you wanted. The enclosures are set up in a way that makes it very hard to see the animals. If the price was reduced it wouldn’t have been as bad, but any child would have been exceedingly disappointed with the lack of animals. There was only 1 moose (that we could see), couldn’t see the wolves at all, couldn’t see the reindeer, saw the bears, couldn’t see the Lynx, saw the deer, couldn’t see the Musk Ox.
Molly K — Google review
We had the most incredible experience here! Even with the large, natural enclosures, we saw EVERY animal except for the wolverine. I went in with low expectations because natural habitat zoos give the animals plenty of places to get away and hide from the visitors, but that wasn't the case during our visit. We loved it.
Aimee E — Google review
We visited the Polar park today in the awful rain but still it was a great place to visit just remember your waterproofs of it's raining as it's obvious out in the open. We arrived and we where greeted At the entrance by a very friendly lady who told us all about the park and some advice on how best to spend our time. We spent over two hours walking around the park enjoying seeing the animals though due to the poor weather we couldn't see the Lynx or Wolverine but it's one of those things you have to expect unless you arrive as they are feeding the animals in the morning. We managed to see all the other animals and it was nice to see they had big enclosures in a very natural environment. After getting drenched in the rain we headed back to the cafe and had lunch which was very nice and even tried a reindeer burger which was beautiful. There was also a well stocked gift shop there too if you fancied a trinket for your visit. Overall a really interesting place to go and see some of Norway's wildlife and learn more about them.
Tom B — Google review
Great zoo, must do the tour with a guide. That makes it great, otherwise you would not see the animals at all. As they just want some food, and they can do some tricks as well.
Vincent M — Google review
Park is really nice, great maintained, with a cozy small dining space and souvenir shop at the entrance. On the day of my visit was quite a rain, so I suggest to check up on weather forecast beforehand 😌 If you decide to have a quick bite, reindeer hamburger was 10/10.
Jovanna M — Google review
Make sure you go on the guided tour, our guide was able to get all the animals except the lynx to come out. Otherwise you can spend hours staring through the trees trying to see any animals
Sandy D — Google review
Amazing park, you might not see all the animals unless you go with the feeding at 16.30. but in my opinion that is a good thing, the animals can hide and seek rest. They are not on display like a attraction and the animal wellfair seems really really good❤️ i got to see all the animals❤️

Ski resort
Outdoor Activities
Nedre Fjellheisstasjon Narvik is a must-visit destination, offering a breathtaking 656m ascent via cable car. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of Narvik from the top, with the convenience of a restaurant and comfortable seating areas. Families with children will appreciate the playground area. For those who prefer not to take the gondola, there's an option to hike up as well.
We had amazing off-piste day with Oscar. Perfect and untouched powders off the piste with interesting forest runs. The unique night ski with headlights is super fun! Highly recommended.

The location of this ski resort is amazing. I loved spending a day here, however it was very disappointing to learn on arrival that there was a skiing competition that was blocking 3 of the 5 available slopes. They eventually opened them gradually. Also, keep in mind there are 2 lifts closed for the season (see attached photo). I don't think this is very clean on their website.

The gondolas up to the top gives a beautiful view of Narvik and the sea. Each gondola has 10 seat. 👍🚡 The restaurant at the top only serves simple foods and drinks. 👎 Out of 3 automates for buying parking and gondola tour only 1 worked! 🅿️👎

Rental equipment is very low quality and very expensive for that also. Additionally, the person at the rental was extremely rude of us. He did not understand our English and since he did not understand, he made fun of us. If you can't talk English properly, it's you I should make fun of. Sorry, we definitely won't take a vacation here again. Great job.

Narvik Museum, located in the center of Narvik, offers a fascinating insight into the development of the city and its industrial history. The museum focuses on the story of the Ofoten railway, which transports iron ore from Kiruna in Sweden to Narvik's port for global export. Visitors can explore a simulated carriage and watch a film depicting train travel, as well as enjoy changing exhibitions related to the railway's construction.
5-star mini-museum, definitely worth a visit! It's beautifully done, with a lot of attention to details and great explanations/films (all in English and partly in German too!). We spent about half an hour in the cozy coffee corner afterwards, that alone was worth the entrance fee! Highly recommend!

I loved this museum - the smaller of two in the centre of Narvik. It tells the story of the Ofoten railway that carries iron ore from Kiruna in Sweden to the ice free port of Narvik for export around the world. There is a simulated carriage where you can watch a film - imagining travelling in the train. There is also a changing exhibition which marked the building of the railway from St Petersburg to Murmansk across the Kola peninsula. There is a cafe area downstairs where you can help yourself to drinks and toilets. There were steps to enter and stairs to get upstairs. It is probably best to check it is open before you go - but it seems to usually open at 10am

War museum
Narvik War Museum is a compelling destination for history enthusiasts, offering insights into the impact of war. The museum delves into the Nazi-Germany's attack on Northern Norway and the subsequent occupation, as well as broader implications of warfare. It features exhibitions focused on the Narvik Campaign during World War II, showcasing authentic artifacts, photographs, and narratives that provide a poignant glimpse into the past. The immersive experience incorporates multimedia elements to transport visitors to that era.
An excellent museum that mixes classic cabinet style exhibits with excellent new audio visual content. Well laid out. Some fantastic artefacts and, while the focus is the Narvik campaign, it has context for the broader Norwegian experience of WW2.
Dex M — Google review
One of many WWII museums in Norway, like always with a local touch; here about the battle over Narvik, massively destroyed. A must for anyone interested in our recent history as it relates to occupation of other countries.
Sebastian R — Google review
Learning more about Norway’s history completely changed my road trip experience through the country. The museum clearly shows Norway’s position during one of the most significant wars in human history. Understanding the past, the battles, and the losses also makes us reflect on the present, the future, and the value of life. If you get the chance, it’s definitely worth setting aside a few hours to dive deeper into this part of Norwegian history. The museum is very complete, with artifacts from the time such as letters, radios, clothing, photos, audio recordings, weapons, and even vehicles. It was an intense and transformative visit that I truly recommend!
Luana M — Google review
We had the most wonderful experience in this poorly advertised Museum. We were lucky enough to have a private after-hours tour with the very knowledgeable Alf. We had no idea that we would be so thoroughly engrossed for about 1 ½ hours. The original items housed here are incredible - weapons, uniforms, battle and invasion information and pieces from daily lives. These are things we had only ever seen in movies. Really nice presentation and a really thoughtful, well-curated Museum. We couldn’t believe how small and inadequate the signage is- this is an amazing Museum and deserves more notice.
Lee — Google review
The museum has a strong focus on the World War II fighting in and around Narvik … to gain control over the harbor (and the steel that was shipped here). Towards the end it asks: How far could you go to for what you believe is right? Difficult question, isn‘t it!? We recommend visiting the museum while in Narvik, in particular if you plan to visit Kiruna.
F V — Google review
While the museum was not that large, it was a informative and enjoyable visit.
Alwin — Google review
Excellent museum. Superbly laid out with engaging exhibits and an extraordinary number of local artifacts from WWII. (Even though I'm not a militaria buff, it really captured my interest. It really brings to life the background to Narvik's WWII story by explaining the military campaigns and the impact on the local people). Recommended.
Phil L — Google review
This is a Museum with a story telling the World War II from Norways perspective. Incredible artefacts from the war, including replicas, regenerated voice of war victims, shows and exhibitions. It's best experienced with reading through the captions and listening to the voiceovers on the 'Euseum' app. A third floor has a more general view on wars and the perspectives on killing other human beings. Must visit!

The Narvik Library is a wonderful institution that tells the tale of the people of Northern Norway and their principles. To fully appreciate the visit, it is advisable to explore this place multiple times as there are fresh experiences awaiting each time. The service provided by the staff is exceptionally accommodating, ensuring that all attendees at OPPLYST are promptly assigned suitable seating. The library itself is outstanding, offering excellent coffee and displaying a warm sense of hospitality.
(Translated by Google) I'm from Poland, I went there to the War Museum because in one building we have: the above-mentioned museum, a tourist information point with a shop, the Punktum cafe (I recommend it!) and a library. Unfortunately, I don't speak Norwegian, but I love books and libraries. That's why I ventured among the shelves. The book collection and other collections are very rich and everything is in order. I envy the inhabitants of Narvik such a place. I was very happy because I found "The Witcher" by Sapkowski on the shelf. Not only am I from Poland, but I am also from Łódź, where I live. Your heart grows. Thanks are also due to the Nice Girl, an employee of the museum/library, who not only told us where to go to see something interesting, but also drew it all nicely and legibly on the map. Thank you!

Narvik Kirke

Church of Norway
Sights & Landmarks
Churches & Cathedrals
Narvik Church is a Gothic church located in the picturesque coastal town of Narvik, Norway. The church boasts a simple yet comfortable interior with unique features such as heated benches and a magnificent organ. Its exterior is adorned with a beautiful tower that can be seen from afar, adding to its charm. While visitors may appreciate the peaceful surroundings and distant mountain views, some suggest that maintenance may be needed for this historic landmark.
An imposing building on peaceful surroundings. So calm.

The Central Church of Narvik has an organ. And you can listen to the music of the organ alive. A couple things more! There's friendly staff as well as a washroom for visitors!

It's a typical gothic church, very simple but with all comforts, the bench have a warmer under It, never saw something like it. The organ above the entrance is magnificent for a small church like this. The best part in my opinion is the outside with this beauitiful tower that you can see from far.

The Arctic University Museum of Norway, established in 1872, is a captivating destination in Tromso that offers a diverse range of science and cultural exhibits. From ancient artifacts to intriguing taxidermy displays, the museum provides an immersive experience for history enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.
Came here as part of the family city pass. It was probably my favorite of the places we visited. I enjoyed the wide range of exhibits. I thought the geology room was well thought out. I also liked the multiple perspectives and history of the Sami people. The museum itself is nicely equipped with restrooms, lockers, rest area, and cafe

Norges arktiske universitetsmuseum is honestly one of the must-visit places in Tromsø. I’m not really a “museum person” at all. I actually went in just because the snow was heavy, I needed somewhere warm to sit for a bit, and I wanted to use the toilet. But I ended up spending almost three hours inside! The museum is very informative and laid out in a way that makes it easy to follow, even if you don’t usually enjoy museums. I learned so much about Arctic nature, local history and culture without ever feeling bored. It’s the kind of place where you think you’ll just take a quick look around and suddenly realise a few hours have passed. If you’re in Tromsø, whether you love museums or you’re just escaping the weather like I was, this place is definitely worth a visit.

EXCELLENT permanent installations (the dioramas are especially good). But what I found outstanding is the written text. I often find the wall text too dry and academic (written by and for academics versus the general public). Here, it is written in a very easy to understand manner - and it absolutely stays with you - and they have made sure that the installation works in tandem with the information that is being communicated in the wall text.
Irma Z — Google review
Very nice and must visit if you have kids. The short facts and video sessions. It was impressive to learn how old the ice in this part of the world is and the part about the Sami culture was really nice. Be careful about parking. No clear signs and we were find NOK660.

If you are in Tromso, take a few hours and visit. The incredible opportunity to learn about the Sami people is worth your time.
Erica M — Google review
A good museum with a nice exhibit on Sámi culture and the people, as well as exhibits on geology and the northern lights. The latter was somewhat disappointing, with not much to see or do. The museum staff were very friendly, but the cafe and toilets were dated. We also went to the museum's once a month event on a Wednesday evening. It was lovely to be in an empty museum and meet some local people.
Amanda — Google review
It is an excellent museum with several exhibitions. I particularly enjoyed the sapmi culture exhibition. As it featured a wide array of items on display. The downstairs cloakroom is handy, and the staff were lovely and helpful.
Paul E — Google review
A must-go for any visitor of Tromsø! I highly recommend walking to the museum from the city center, along the water (~35 min). The museum explains you everything about the geological history of Tromsø and it's surroundings. Also, there's a very pretty exhibition about northern lights upstairs, alongside an exhibition about the history of the Sami population and culture. All in all, I've enjoyed it a lot and spent the whole afternoon here!

Then it can be misleading when people who do not know Basecamp Senja search in Google maps and the result shows that Basecamp Senja is located in the upper harbour. At least that's what today's search shows. (8 Feb 2018). (Original) Basecamp Senja er en flott bedrift som aktiviserer turister (og av og til lokale folk) rundt på Senja. A nice local park. Many people ice skate here in the winter, it also has a small playground for children. However, when I was looking for real estate in my area for my pet frog (Jeremy) the prices were obscene! You cant even live here half of the year because the pond freezes! This was our first husky sledding experience ever and we don't believe it can be better!! Small scaled, so very personal and warm contact with the owners, Trine and Roger ( and the girl), The dogs were so calm and lovely, you can see they have a good life. It was kind of hard work to drive yourself, but a good exercise, better than any gym!!😀🏋‍♀️🏃💪🏼 The coffee, brewed on the bonfire and the warm cinnamon buns and the conversation during the break we're lovely as well. If anyone stays in this area for holiday or work (in the winter), I would highly recommend "Arctic-guide-and-visit" for a tour or another arrangement!! Thx once more, Trine and Roger!!

The best husky sledding experience! Very personal and small scale (only own group). The dogs are very well and lovely taken care of, and they are the most sweet and social dogs I have ever met! We even had the chance to ride our own sled! In between there was a nice break by the fire where we had hot chocolate/coffee and cinnamon buns. Trine and Roger are very welcoming and passionate about what they do! All in all, it was a unique experience in arctic Norway that is great value for money and I would recommend to everybody 10/10!!

The Aurora Borealis Observatory is a top choice for witnessing the Northern Lights in Norway. The hotel offers upscale apartment-style accommodations with stunning views of the natural phenomenon through large glass panels. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as free food delivery and a convenient area shuttle. In addition to being an ideal location for observing the Northern Lights, the hotel is popular among skiing enthusiasts. Visitors can marvel at the spectacle while relaxing in outdoor hot tubs.
We had the best time staying at the observatory. Our corner room had the most awesome view and the room was spacious, modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and dinner was delicious (even without being able to have a drink). We saw wonderful aurora which was amazing. We did read the reviews before arriving and I was a bit worried as there were some unfavorable ones, but there was nothing to be concerned about. We had a great stay!
Sharon M — Google review
My partner and I booked this hotel. We unfortunately had to cancel. We were entitled to a refund under the terms and conditions of the booking. We still have not received this refund. My advice, avoid at all costs.
Jag M — Google review
My friends and I had a great experience! Mary was very easy to communicate with via email regarding logistics, and once we arrived, our driver/aurora tour guide Johannes was so kind, generous, and accommodating that by the end of the trip we considered him a friend! The aurora night tour was the experience of a lifetime and the day tour of Senja was also incredible, even on a rainy day. We went for 3 nights and it felt like enough. The ABO is very easy to get to from Tromso via ferry and Tromso is also highly recommended!
Krista K — Google review
Avoid at all cost. It is a scam. I have been trying over the past 5 month to obtain the refund of my deposit for the booking of a family stay in december 2025.. A cancellation ten month in advance, so according to their own terms I should be entitled to the refund of my deposit. So that is what they told me at the begining when they canceled my stay. Yet over the past 4 month no answer to my phone calls, emails…no refund for the moment.
Florence N — Google review
I am trying to finalise/fix and now probably cancel my booking to this accommodation (if they don't respond to me...) Booked incorrect dates and have contacted them via the specified email address 5+ times across a month to see if they can fix this for me because that's the only way to amend and cancel bookings. I have been completely ignored despite reaching out multiple times. Terrible experience and no customer service without even staying at the accommodation.
E — Google review
This hotel false advertised a lot. We stayed in the "luxury two bedroom suite" which was notated by a piece of paper saying that stapled to the building. The jacuzzi is far from the building - there's no robes or slippers so we never used it. You're given one small bath towel and hand towel per person. There is no conditioner or bottled water. The name made it sound like it focuses on the northern lights but it was really more of an air bnb and the service was some of the worst we've experienced - and we're travel agents having been to 170 countries collectively. The ferry from tromso is cancelled a lot and we had pay a lot for a 4 hour taxi to get there. The northern lights were great the first night. The second day there wasn't much to do if you don't do a tour - we visited in winter and only had snow shoes to use which was fun but we were told the sleds are for kids, there wasn't enough snow for cross country skis yet and bikes were for summer. The rooms are modern but real basic. The beds were comfy but the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell. There was a vent that leaked water on one of us in the middle of the night that they fixed the next day. There is a teepee that they will light up if you ask them to with a fire but there was no hot chocolate or drinks or food offered as advertised. It was a bit self service and the employees did not know how to use it. We asked for a coffee during the day but was told it was closed and then when we asked when it was open we were told it was broken. They said they had no hot chocolate. The restaurant is owned separately and only has food in the morning for breakfast and a few hours in the evening. They don't have their liquor license to serve alcohol despite having wine there which was disappointing - especially when the employees and friends of the employees were drinking wine and cocktails in front of us. It felt very rude. We took a very expensive $50 taxi the 15 mins to town each way because they said there was no one to take us. Definitely don't come here and stay extended time and or without a car. It is a remote stay which makes it easier to see the lights however there is not much to do and you don't have access to food and drinks mostof the day. I was most interested in getting help with my new camera for the northern lights and was excited to have someone to take pics of us and we asked multiple times when the photographer would be there and never got an answer then we were told at 9pm it was the owner and he had left for the night and it needed to be reserved in advance despite asking all day. One of the friends of the owners was there and was able to help a little bit. Overall some of the staff were helpful but some were very rude. It's a remote place without many amenities so if visiting Senja I'd opt for another option.
Kelly C — Google review
My partner and I had the most amazing time during our stay! We were there for 5 nights - originally planning for 2 in the hut and 3 in the luxury panorama apartment. However, due to clouds forecasted the first few nights, we opted to stay all 5 in the apartment. The accommodations were beautiful, and the hot tub was the cherry on top, along with the fireplace. The picture I've attached is the view from the hot tub. During our stay we did one of the hotel Senja tours with Johannes, and also did a northern lights tour with Senja Experience as well as the husky sledding with Senja Husky. I would highly recommend all! We very much enjoyed our time at the restaurant, and enjoyed the hospitality of both Johannes and Mario. The other highlights of the trip were going on a few walks around the property and down the road to the river - it was absolutely stunning, especially with the snow. For recommendations/advice, the main items to be aware of are restaurant hours and alcohol rules. The restaurant only serves breakfast from 8-10am and dinner from 6-8pm. When they picked us up from the ferry from Tromso, the driver made us aware of this so we could stop at the grocery store to stock up on foods/snacks/alcohol to keep in our room. In addition, due to alcohol rules the restaurant is only able to serve alcohol on Friday and Saturday. Overall, I would highly recommend. We enjoyed every part of our stay - from the activities, the restaurant/reception hospitality, the accommodations and even just relaxing in our room while looking at the snow outside was magical.

My Husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here. We originally booked a room in the executive suites, but upgraded to the Luxury Studio Apartment upon arrival after we decided we wanted a private deck and hot tub. The upgrade was worth it!! The apartment was quiet, cozy and warm. The finishings made for a luxurious stay, but the views from the porch were the true luxury! Our included Breakfast was served at the reception building (top level). We felt like Royalty as they served us delicious food immediately upon arrival, where we were seated at a beautiful table in front of a large window with views of the mountains. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our favorite part was the Norwegian Brown Cheese and yogurt with muesli. The staff have been nothing but polite, attentive and accommodating. The cloud coverage was 100%, so we unfortunately did not see the Northern Lights, however , this would be a great place to see them at the right time. We would absolutely choose to stay here again when we return to Senja.
