Beautiful green carpeted hills. A very vast landscape with awesome views. There is a lake that has a walkway. Can see shephards moving their herd in the distance. Road to it is great well paved. There are lots of places to eat and buy souvenirs. Fresh crisp air and very windy. Make sure to go on a clear day otherwise it'll be cloudy and you won't be able to see anything. Very well maintained, very clean, public picnic tables & seating are available in the place, in addition to sun bathing seats! I recommend having your swimming suits with you when you visit the place as the water will invite you to take a jump! Unfortunately I didn't see a place to change your clothes afterwards but a public bathroom is near the place.

I had the best experience in this small tourist village. The weather is excellent in Summer, except the sun sets early and there are showers around the evening time. No night life, but amazing nature and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for those who want to relax in nature.

We ate at Kulakkaya Aile Sofrasi which is a family owned and operated restaurant. Try Sirgan Soup, mushroom sauté, Corn Bread and Meat Balls. Decent prices and good quality.

The monastery is built inside a cliff, and the atmosphere is magical — you can take amazing photos of the nature, the fog, and the mountains surrounding the site. If you love history, architecture, and dramatic landscapes, this place is a must-see. Totally worth the effort and the time! 🌿

Amazing place so glad to finally make it here! The weather wasn't good but it thinned out the crowds which we appreciated. Unbelievable story and impressive building skills in such a remote place. The surrounding Park is beautiful as well. The only negative impression is pay to park then pay to use the restroom then pay to enter the monastery. 1 price please.

Beautiful monastery, built in 4th century. No amount of words can explain the beauty of the location and the detailed workmanship that went into building this place. The walk to monastery is short but steep, however the views along the way are worth the effort. It's definitely a great place to visit. It does get crowded pretty quickly as large groups visit it

That experience was a life time experience. I had seen photos before, but it was a hidden gem. When you climb all the stairs to see a monks city, very well preserved was very exciting. Highly recommended experience. My favorite part was to see the church, but very sad to see the murals were destroyed by the first visitors. Seeing all the priest rooms, the kitchen, the library made me to understand the life style of the monks that lived there for many years. The monastery is placed in an amazing nature that takes your breath away.

Magic place in the mountains! As we climbed up the mystic music was echoing from hill to hill. I am posting some photos. The monastery has a special energy and well preserved history of the early Christianity. At the bottom – Altun River (The golden River, which still has some gold.) One of the most mysterious places I have visited! Go see the magic!

Such a beautiful place, beautiful views, the ancient mosaic is mesmerising. You have to walk a bit before you see the mosaic, the forest during the walk is nice. We had museum cards, so it was even easier for us to enter.

Must visit place in Trabzon. No museum found there but the building and frescoes inside are marvellous. Also nice sea view. Women are allowed inside with covered head, they offer shawls at the entrance.

A very well preserved mansion that belonged to a Greek (Ottoman back then) banker and used as his summer house. After the population exchange in 1923 he was forced to leave behind his properties (as did thousands of other Greeks) and return back to Greece. The property was gifted to Ataturk 1 year later by the people of Trabzon as he visited it and liked it a lot. The mansion itself is very beautiful and a sign of prosperity of the people back then. Both the interior and exterior are absolutely beautiful and worth visiting if you want to get a glimpse of how rich people lived back then. You can pay by card at the entrance.

Forum Trabzon is one of the best shopping malls in the city! It has a great mix of international and local brands, and the atmosphere is very modern and clean. I love Forum, I can come here every day! It's just a big mall with everything you would expect in one. Lots of stores, a supermarket, a food court at the top floor and even an arcade for the kids. It's easy accessible with the public transport, but you can also come with car, but sometimes the parking is a bit busy.

Nice atmosphere almost all the brand is there. Food court is very crowded with the tables bathrooms not so clean.

Uzungol lake is very pretty, surrounded by many halal restaurants and hotels to stay in. You even go glamping around, do some hikes in the area or take a long drive around. There are many picnic places on the way so you can stop on your way and enjoy a little picnic

08/08/2025 This place is one of the most beautiful places I've visited in my whole life. I went there in August and the weather was perfect. Make sure to wear something warm. Ask your driver to take you to the waterfall on your way there. When you get to the lake you can rent a bike for 10 lira/hour, or you can ride a boat for approximately 50 lira/20 minuets, and there is the parachute too, but it's expensive if you're with a big group (500 lira per person). I highly recommend going there especially if you're with your friends and have no babies.

I had my doubts about Uzungöl being worth the hype, but once I got there, I realized it absolutely deserves its great reputation!

Very charm, relex and nice place for family

This fortress is very close to Rize city, it has a beautiful masjid and an awesome view of Rize city from top. At the top of the fortress you can enjoy having çay in a cozy coffee shop. A very beautiful place to see in Rize .

The fortress is small & it takes around 20 minutes from the city centre. It's free of charge, as there is no ticket office. Beautiful views and they have also got cafe on the top.

It’s not really a fortress, it’s a cafe on top of the walls of an old guarding post. There isn’t anything to visit, just enjoy the view with some drinks or food. There is parking at the top, but difficult to get to it if any roads close… not recommended for a hike, unless you really want to walk more that day, as it’s quite a steep incline and took around 40 minutes from city center.

A good stop on the way to Rize-Artvin. Nice place, but smaller than the expectation. On the top, there are many great views. Each corner has a unique view: tea mountains, Black Sea, and different city views. There are many options for a quick drink or small bites. I won’t spend more than 15-30 minutes here. There are many things to be discovered in the area. The castle wasn’t in our plan, it popped up on the map and we stopped to see it. Unfortunately, we missed one of the amazing points on our plan because of this stop.

A very beautiful tea garden in Rize sponsored by the famous tea company, Çaykur. It is an open door cafe at an elevated location with lot of greenery around it. It overlooks the Rize city. It has a parking space. The service is good and the prices are low (1 TL for a tea cup). It has a Çaykur company store that sells all kinds of their brand tea packets for a fair price. It is highly recommended for visiting if someone is visiting Rize.

We took a boat to see the water falls. I can't say less than WoW. It is amazing. You can touch the water falls water. also the water is crystal clear. The driver was very kind and gentlemen.

Visiting this waterfall left an unforgettable impression! You can view it from the side — the waterfall looks truly impressive. There used to be a viewing platform at the bottom, but it’s currently closed, so you can only watch it from the side now. The road to the waterfall itself is very beautiful and atmospheric, setting the mood even before you arrive. Nearby, there is a small café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and soak in the natural surroundings. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves beautiful natural spots!

Amazing site with a rainbow 🌈 in the air. It won't take 5 stars for 2 main reasons. 1. The wooden stairs are closed, so this is the closest you will get to the water fall as you see in the video 2. The road to reach there is not prepared enough for the number of cars visiting the place it can take hours to reach there to take 2 nice pictures and then leave. I won't go again, especially on a public holiday

It is an amazing waterfall. This my second visit. On my first visit, I was able to get closer to the waterfall but this time the path way to the waterfall is under construction. So, we could get closer to the waterfall. Before you go there consider this info. Again it is still worth seeing the place.

The waterfall is nice BUT: - the road up past the stone gate is small, 90% of it fits only one car, not two, so it’s difficult to drive up and down on it - the road gets very narrow at the top close to the waterfall, and the parking at the top gets full, so people start to park on the side of the road, blocking it - the passageways around the waterfall were fully closed, so we couldn’t even get close. Had to take 2 pictures from the top while looking at the pathways under us - it’s incredibly crowded, making going up and down difficult, and dangerous. Even if standing to take pictures, have to pay attention to cars… - there is no place to sit or enjoy, just a couple kiosks selling corn and stuff Would not recommend unless they open the pathways… If possible, and in good fitness, I would recommend to walk the 3.7 km up, but keep in mind it’s intense. It’s quite a lot of elevation gain, so it takes almost 2 hours and there will be cars going up and down on very narrow bends

It is worth visiting, but one should be very cautious by self driving to the site. The last 10-20 km the road gets narrowed and the last 500 m is very bad and the cars get backed. We went in sunny day, I don’t recommend self driving in rainy day it could be dangerous. If self driving try to park at least 400 m away from the site and then walk so u can scape the crowd. I recommend also to book a car with driver ( we booked car with driver for $220 from uzungol for full day and visited different sites). Theres is no facilities up there only few trucks selling corns and drinks, no WC.

This is the place that locates Çamlıhemşin,Rize.Highly recommend.Holidays time the traffic is heavy and routes are narrow for two cars,but it is worth to see and filling clean air for lungs.

Amazing waterfall views from the 2nd floor bunglow style house. Sleeping with the water and nature sounds felt so peaceful and amazing. Two bedrooms and a toilet/shower with balcony to enjoy drinks watching the river and the waterfall. We walked up to the top of the mountain where there is a small teashop ,totally worth the climb to enjoy the amazing views. There is a car park outside the hotel, owners were available 24/7 very friendly and helpful local people, beds were comfy, rooms sparkling clean, shower with hot and cold water , nearby vadi restaurant served homemade fresh local food. Overall this was such a great experience worth coming back for sure. If you love nature and want a peaceful retreat, look no further.

Trekking was very hard and long. I don't suggest it for families and people from middle east.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls of Turkey with a dropping height of almost 100 meters. Water volume is at its peak during April, May although it is remarkable even in dry summer. Could reach after a walk of about 750 meters from where you park your vehicle at Kamilet Valley. Don't forget to have a bath in its small pool just under the falls and enjoy the real piping blodred Blacksea tea before and after your climb to Mençuna. Must see place if you are in the region. Don't miss it...

The place is understaffed. No electricity in the morning therefore no internet and no warm water. The host is rude. The room they gave us was a small cabin next to kitchen which was loud all night and so small that toilet is 1 meter away from bed. Best would be to stay in arahvi and visit the area as a day trip. This place is not worth the money.

If you want virgin nature so you can stay here . Everything is good except the road but this nature needs that. I hope there will be no human work around here. Workers are friendly. Everything is great.

One of the best water falls in Turkey. You can swim but it's a long walk up there and driving is a bit stressful.

Great view on top of Artvin. It was a quite during first day of Eid holiday. Road should have better directions and better infrastructure.

Amazing view point from where you can see the whole of Artvin on one side and mountains on the other. It is high up so weather is great if its a hot day. Big open space with children outdoor play also. There is a restaurant on which the statue stands, however it only serves nescafe and turkish tea. Drive there is quite tricky as the road is steep and windy but it is nicely paved. Must see place if you visit Artvin. Visited July 2022

It's a good view and cool spot, but you have to go by taxi from Artvin, don't even think about walking, even going down, and it costs a lot (150 round trip. 7.5usd). Maybe get a taxi up and catch a ride down? Not many visitors. I don't know. The views were even better leaving Artvin heading in direction of ardahan and that was free

It has a very good view point over the whole city and the surrounding mountains, a resting place to get a drink but the quality isn't the best and so many spots were abandoned during construction that make the view less appealing
