Visiting St. Peter’s Basilica was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my trip to Rome and the Vatican. The sheer size, beauty, and spiritual atmosphere of this place are beyond words. From the moment you step into St. Peter’s Square and see the majestic façade and dome designed by Michelangelo, you feel you are in the presence of history and faith intertwined in the most beautiful way. Inside, every corner of the basilica is a masterpiece the marble floors, golden ceilings, and magnificent sculptures create an atmosphere of reverence and awe. The Pietà by Michelangelo is one of the most moving works of art I have ever seen, and the main altar beneath the grand dome is simply spectacular. The attention to detail in every artwork and architectural element is astonishing. If you climb to the top of the dome, the view is absolutely worth it! You can see all of Vatican City, the rooftops of Rome, and the distant hills it’s truly magical. The climb can be steep, but reaching the top and looking down at the square is an unforgettable moment. The basilica is well organized, and the staff maintain a respectful and peaceful environment. Entry is free, though lines can be long, so going early in the morning is a great idea. Overall, St. Peter’s Basilica is not just a church it’s a journey through art, history, and faith. Whether you are religious or not, this place will touch your soul with its beauty and grandeur. An absolute must-visit when in Rome or Vatican City.

Piazza Navona: A Breathtaking Baroque Masterpiece and Dining Heaven! Piazza Navona is, quite simply, breathtaking. This stunning square is a true masterpiece of Roman Baroque architecture and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The elegant, elongated shape (built on the foundations of the ancient Stadium of Domitian!) is beautiful in itself, but the centerpiece, Bernini's magnificent Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers), is what makes the view truly special and picturesque. It’s the perfect place to sit, soak up the vibrant Roman atmosphere, and admire the beautiful Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone. As someone who loves great food and appreciates a quality dining experience, I can happily confirm that the area around the piazza is packed with great restaurants. Don't be fooled by the tourist location; wandering just off the main square will lead you to some incredible trattorias and enotecas. You can find everything from authentic Roman classics to wonderful places to enjoy an aperitivo with a truly majestic backdrop. Whether you're visiting for the art, the history, or a memorable meal with a picturesque view, Piazza Navona delivers on all fronts. This is Rome at its finest!

An amazing structure from early Roman days. Such a well preserved artefact in the heart of Rome. Although it is very busy and touristy around the pantheon most days, we would still recommend everyone to make time during their stay in Rome and visit this incredible site. The structure is truly phenomenal with such incredible detail. That it has survived for so many years is a true testament to the architecture and the build of this incredible and fascinating structure. Lineups can be long to get inside but well worth the wait. There are several wonderful little cafés in the area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or even a beer or wine while you admire The Pantheon while enjoying a drink or a snack. Completely worth the hype, 100% must see when in Rome. I spent a month studying abroad in Italy and it was the coolest thing I saw the entire time. The sheer amount of incredible art and the building itself will blow you away.

Absolutely Magical — A Roman Must-See The Trevi Fountain is every bit as stunning as people say—maybe even more. The moment you turn the corner and see it, the whole scene feels like a movie. The sound of the water, the incredible sculptures, the glow of the marble… it’s pure Roman magic. Yes, it gets crowded, but the atmosphere is part of the charm. Everyone is excited, tossing coins and making little wishes. I threw my coin in too—because who doesn’t want to come back to Rome? If you want the best experience, visit early in the morning or late at night. In the evening, the fountain lights make it look even more beautiful, and the crowds are calmer. Perfect for photos and just taking in the moment. Whether you’re in Rome for a day or a week, the Trevi Fountain is a must. It’s one of those places that reminds you why people fall in love with this city.

The most amazing and inspiring place. The park is well kept and the artworks are amazing. You can easily get lost in the details of the tiles as everything is so intricate. There are so many different sculptures to see, including sound works and interactive areas you can go into. There is no bus from capalbio station and we weren’t able to get a taxi so call ahead to book if you plan on taking the train.

Absolutely stunning place! The water is so clear and warm, and the place itself is just beautiful. Highly recommended! There is also nice parking space for campers quite near in the case you are around the area with camper, it is easy to park there and walk short way to this place. The one thing you might want to know that there was a lot but A LOT of ants so when you leave your towels etc, dont be surprised if they are full of ants later 🫠

Great place for a nice walk/hike in a weird historical park. Great for children too. Free entry for children under 4. Not touristy which is a plus!

Very nice experience, with different routes available and different levels of difficulty so anyone can enjoy a good view of the falls.

We had a 30-minute time frame to visit this spot and we enjoyed walking the town and only took pictures of the outside of this cathedral. You can see the stripes from a distance which indicates the side of the cathedral so it is relatively easy to find. The detail on the front of the cathedral is incredible and it was fun to stand and study it.

Abbey of San Galgano is truly a special place. We had the chance to photograph a wedding ceremony here, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. The open-roof ruins, the sound of birds, and pigeons flying through the arches added such a unique and almost mystical atmosphere. We also witnessed sunrise at the abbey, and it was absolutely breathtaking—just as magical as the history that surrounds this place. There’s something truly unforgettable about standing in such an ancient, sacred space, feeling the first light of the day pour in. If you visit, make sure to walk up to the chapel nearby to see the legendary sword in the stone—a fascinating piece of history that adds even more mystery to this already magical place. A wonderful example of religious expression and indulgence. Stories on the walls floors and ceilings with records of cardinals pope's and others. Puts II and III lived in a prosperous time and rewarded each other with a designated library. Wonderful construction and artworks. The floor which is usually covered, was bare for all to see.

A truly beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere. Piazza del Campo is the heart of Siena – a unique medieval square that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Stunning architecture, plenty of cafés and restaurants where you can sit and soak it all in. The best time to visit is in the evening, when the square comes alive and is beautifully lit. Definitely one of the most charming squares in Europe.

Breathtaking views inside - out! Sublime architecture and a sheer joy to witness it all. No tickets required. The tomb of the Saint Francis can be easily viewed, although no photos are allowed to be taken inside the burial chamber. There’s a souvenir shop within the building, plenty of restaurants around the Basilica could be spotted too. Be careful which one you are going to as they aren’t Michelin star restaurants. If Gordon Ramsey gets there; he’ll definitely close the whole road where they are located, not just one. The Car park is massive, so don’t you worry about parking.

Such a beautiful experience! In order to see the beautiful views at the top, you have to walk about 10-15 minutes up an incline with stairs/ ramps. It's not too bad once you take your time. The view of Florence from the top of the Plaza is unreal, you have a panoramic view and can take great pictures. There are many food/ drink/ trinket vendors across the Plaza as well as benches to sit. It's free entry and you can stay as long/ little as you'd like. I highly recommend making the time to visit if you're in the area.

Being inside the Uffizi feels like stepping into the bloodstream of art history itself — every hallway hums with centuries of creativity. It was an amazing experience being there. The paintings, the sculptures, the architecture… everything pulls you into a quiet dialogue with the past. Standing in front of the Botticelli rooms feels almost unreal, like the Renaissance is breathing right beside you. The staff were organized and helpful, the flow of the gallery felt smooth even with crowds, and there’s a certain magic in the light that comes through those old windows. It’s the kind of place that lingers in your mind long after you leave. A place worth visiting again, every time your heart needs a reminder of human imagination at its finest.

Whether you’re admiring the architecture or attending mass, the experience is both humbling and inspiring—Florence at its finest.

There are no words that truly prepare you for seeing Michelangelo’s David in person. The detail, the scale, the presence—it stops you in your tracks. The museum itself is intimate compared to others in Florence, but that makes the moment with David even more powerful. The other exhibits are worth lingering for—Renaissance paintings, sculptures, and musical instruments—but let’s be honest, this is David’s house. 🌎🗺️ Tip: Book your ticket ahead of time, or you’ll spend hours in line. Go early in the morning for a quieter experience.

We had a tour of the piazza with a very knowledgeable local guide. What a fascinating history and so much about Bologna I did not know. The piazza is easily accessible by foot or public transport from the central station.

The two towers in the heart of Bologna highlights the importance of preserving history. One of the towers is leaning, probably more than the one in Pisa (I saw that in a YouTube Video), and visibly one can see the leaning in comparison with the other tower. Currently, restoration work is going on and so they are not open to public. However, you can see and click photos from the road.

Of all the attractions in Ferrara, the Estense Castle is the most iconic. We visited on a Thursday morning and there were very few other visitors. Our ticket was part of the MyFE card, which is definitely worth purchasing for a few days ( if nothing else it reduces the tourist tax. We paid just over €25 euros for a 6 day pass. The castle is most impressive from the exterior., however unlike some castles I have visited in Italy it has a good degree of information and exhibits as you go round. Dont expect to wizz round, it seemed like a labyrinth, and we were there for about 2 hours. The Lions Tower is about 112 steps, not too bad compared to many towers Ive climbed. Obviously there not as tall, you still had a good view over the old town. When we visited (June 2025) The visit finished qith an exhibition of photography by Art Kane. Hands up, I had never heard if the guy, but if you are person of a certain age (like myself) you could help but recognise many of his iconic images. The icing on the cake were the Andy Worhols. The exhibition runs until September and is definitely an added bonus. You can visit the courtyard for free and there were at least 3 entrances across the moat. The tourist office is also located in the courtyard. Ferrara is a definitely not a tourist town as such and can therefore be enjoyed without too much hussle and bussle. On the other hand it is most certainly a working town and unlike many of the more famous historic centres is a mixture of old and new, and lacks a bit of charm as a result. The towns historical sites are a little far apart, walkable, but given it was 35 degrees plus the week we stayed seemed a little too far on occasions. Overall we really enjoyed the castle and would highly recommend it.

The interior is equally enchanting, with beautifully crafted details that showcase the artistry of the era. However, it's important to note that access to the stage and background is not included with the ticket purchase, which may disappoint some visitors eager to explore beyond the audience experience. Nonetheless, the theatre's historical significance and aesthetic appeal make it a must-visit for anyone interested in architecture and the performing arts.

South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology – Meeting Ötzi in Bolzano Bolzano is one of those places that gets under your skin—a strange and beautiful collision of Italy and the Alps. German precision meets Italian charm, all wrapped in cobblestone streets, Gothic arcades, and the smell of good coffee drifting out of corner cafés. It’s a city where you can order a perfect espresso in the morning, a plate of speck and mountain cheese by noon, and a bottle of local Gewürztraminer by dinner. We grabbed a quick bite at a café across the street before heading in—sitting outside while small birds darted between tables, bold enough to hope for crumbs. Then we crossed over to see why most people come here: Ötzi. The South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology sits in a stately old building at the edge of the pedestrian zone, and inside is one of the most haunting encounters you can have without boarding a plane to somewhere far more dangerous. Three floors take you from prehistoric tools to Roman relics, winding you closer to the reason everyone’s here: a 5,300-year-old man pulled from the ice, along with the tools, clothes, and gear he carried when death found him in the high mountains. The displays are sharp and modern, with just the right balance of science and story. There’s his copper axe, his grass cape, his last meal still in his stomach. The lifelike reconstruction of Ötzi by the Kennis brothers is unsettling in the best possible way—suddenly this isn’t just a skeleton in a glass case, it’s a person who woke up one morning not knowing it would be his last. What makes the place work is its restraint. No gimmicks, no cheap drama—just good storytelling and the quiet, unnerving truth of seeing someone who lived and died in the same mountains you can see out the window. Bolzano does that—it folds the past and present together until you can’t quite tell where one ends and the other begins.

A beautiful place with lots of original and rare flowers. I recommend going there with your friends, then it is interesting to explore. In addition, the castle in which the restaurant is located. Really stunning place.

Lovely place to visit, beautiful water. Winter time is great to go to avoid large crowds, summer the lake is packed, you can best most of the crowd in the spring/summer months by going very early but shops will not be open.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! The Nordkette Cable Car is like riding straight into a postcard. 🚡 You start right in the heart of Innsbruck, glide up on the Hungerburg funicular, hop on the Seegrubenbahn, and before you know it you’re soaring over alpine meadows and jagged peaks. The final stretch to Hafelekar feels like you’re being lifted to the edge of the sky — and the views at the top? Absolutely jaw-dropping. 🌍✨ The ride itself is smooth, the cabins are clean, and the staff are friendly. Pro tip: go on a clear day — you’ll see the whole city spread out below and snow-capped peaks stretching forever. Bring a camera and a jacket, because even in summer it’s chilly at the top! Whether you want to hike, snap a million photos, or just sip a drink with the most epic backdrop imaginable, this is a must-do in Innsbruck. Worth every cent and then some.

Munich is very nice has a lot of restaurants and bars around, at the center has a building were are dancing on the tower some kind of soldiers it's a beautiful thing. Also has Oktoberfest it was something amazing people all over the world a huge space a lot of beers 🍻🍻 we really had a nice time.

This is a very beautiful garden. It is very large and it is relaxing. I highly recommend it to anyone who visits Munich. The river surfing was incredible.

Visited with my family and absolutely loved the experience! It was stunning to explore the past, present, and future of BMW cars and bikes. You can easily spend hours here — it’s not like a boring museum where you just watch; here you get engaged and drown in the world of innovation and design. Never knew BMW also used to manufacture aircraft engines — such a cool surprise! A must-visit for anyone who loves cars, bikes, or technology!
