Fabulous interactive history of Irish Linen! I loved being told and shown by the lovely friendly staff about the exhibits.

Excellent place to visit to find out about the history of the Irish linen industry from the very start. Donna explained the construction and operation of a loom in great detail as well as demonstrating the skill of weaving. She was fascinating to listen to and so knowledgeable. We spent 2 hours there and enjoyed every minute.

Visited the museum last week and found an Egyptian Exhibition was on ,very interesting and well laid out . The Linen displays were well laid out with a full documented history of mills in the area. There was working looms and card cutting which the young lady described and gave us a demonstration of how they worked

A nice museum with exhibitions showing the history of Lisburn and also everything related to linen manufacturing starting from the flax plant and ending with the finished products, with live demonstrations by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Free admissions and well worth a visit with your family.

Brought two separate groups of adults with disabilities to the exhibitions at the Linen Museum on Monday and Tuesday. We booked a free tour& workshop for both days and were shown around by Angus and Olivia. Both staff members connected so well with our group and we were made to feel so welcome. Angus and Olivia were so knowledgable about the history of Linen in Lisburn/Northern Ireland. Our participants had a wonderful time. We look forward to booking another tour with you very soon. Have visited the museum on numerous occasions for family events. Staff have always been excellent Definitely worth signing up to their mailing list as they regularly host events for kids.

Private tour of the exhibition's and the tour guide Ciaran we excellent. Great knowledge of all the exhibits and local interest helped tie the pieces together. Shall definitely be back to have another look.

We had the best time at World Of Owls, staff were ever knowledgable about the owls and were able to tell us about each bird’s personality. Once we had walked around the owls, falcons and Eagles we met a staff member on his way in when he asked if we wanted to hold two of the owls he had just brought back from a school visit. All of the birds were very catchy and the staff knew which bird we were talking about just based off the way we told them they interacted with us. Staff were very friendly and very helpful when at the end of the visit we had realised we lost our keys.

If you love birds of any shape and size - you'll love world of owls. Its a HOOT!!! This fantastic sanctuary is phenomenal at their care for these amazing creatures. The staff and volunteers are always open to talk about any and all things bird! Mike is such a gem to talk to and is always so welcoming everytime I have visited. They're truly a hidden gem in Randalstown Forest and I couldn't recommend visiting enough. ❤️❤️❤️

A beautiful little trip among birds of prey from all over the world, from huge eagles to tiny little owls. The owner was extremely kind and answered all of our questions. He also let us pet a cute barn owl and a huge eagle-owl that starred in the first Harry Potter movie, which we also got to carry with a falconry glove. There's gift shop at the end of the trail with feathers from the birds. The sanctuary is at the very beginning of the Randalstown forest trail, which is also worth a visit.

Had the best time at World of Owls today! Great day for all ages definitely. We got to hold some owls and Mike told us some amazing stories about the owls- you’ll have to hear them yourself! This really made our experience, will most definitely be back soon :)

There were so many cool species of birds, and the staff are more than happy to tell you all about the species, the birds backstories and names. Its a good (and cheap) way to spend an afternoon. The place is run by volunteers and all the money goes into looking after the birds and animals there. We even got to hold one of the owls. Very much would recommend to families and people with an interest in birds.

A great way to spend an hour or two. Never seen so many beautiful Owls, hawks Eagles and Falcons in one place in NI. Much better than the Belfast zoo for birds. But where is the lottery/ government investment?

I had a quick visit last weekend and will definitely be back soon not only to see the birds again but also to learn more. The birds were just amazing and some quite comical too. Although the birds are in enclosures, they are outdoors and you get great views of them. The place is in a good wee spot. It should be on every family's list of places to go see, for sure. Wish I had found it sooner. Keep up the great work folks and thank you for caring for these creatures!

Fantastic venue with some amazing aircraft on show! Most definitely worth the trip down, more so on thier open weekend! Plenty for everyone to see and do, kids will be entertained for hours. The open weekend did have food and drink vendors on site but I'd say this was just for the weekend. If you visit at a different time, be sure to take a flask for picnic. Well done to everyone involved for 2025 open weekend, very well organised and helpful volunteers on site.

Amazing place to learn the history with evidence. It's worth for kids of any age who are interested in flights, aviation, and history from the 1930s until today. Rare models are displayed. Fantastic guided tour by Robin, a nice gentleman explaining everything with amazing humour. Really appreciated.

We went here as we thought it would make for a nice wee day out and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide Ray was fantastic and very passionate and knowledgeable and the collection of aircrafts was impressive. The fact everyone here are volunteers is a real testament to the commitment they have. I cannot recommend visiting enough it was a very good time.

In my opinion, the Ulster Aviation Society is one of the best museums Northern Ireland has to offer. There’s so much to see, from historic aircraft and helicopters to fascinating exhibits, plus a VR zone and flight simulator that make the experience even more engaging. The planes are really well maintained and in great condition, which makes walking around them even more impressive. There’s plenty to explore, and the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. A brilliant visit for anyone interested in history, aviation, or just looking for something unique to do.

First time visit on Saturday past at 11am. Ended up was just myself with the guide Nick. I found the hangers to be an absolutely fantastic facility with tonnes more artifacts and planes than I had imagined there to be. Defo needs a repeat visit (or 5??) to see everything. Must mention how good Nick was as a guide - very knowledgeable and passionate about aviation with bucketloads of great stories from his past (and future, maybe fly a spitfire at some point???) It is free entry but a donation is a no-brainer when you see how good the facility and guides are.

The whole museum is very interesting. Both planes and helicopters with steps to view the cockpits and knowledgeable staff with interesting facts makes this place a worthwhile visit.

National trust beach and nature reserve is wonderful. Very helpful staff even gave us a rucksack with a bucket and spades in it. Life guards and safe swimming area. Clean and the best view from a beach in ever. A must see but please only leave foot prints and take only memories.

Beautiful dunes form a backdrop to a shingly beach which is enjoyable to explore, examine the fauna and flora and the occasional wikd horse. A lovely place to visit

This is a beautiful boardwalk out to the beach..one word of warning..check to go at low tide! We arrived at high tide and had a very uncomfortable stony walk towards Newcastle. This had to be abandoned as the tide was so high, it was up against the steep stony boulders bordering the golf course.

Absolutely worth visiting and we came second time. The beach was long and white sanded, although the wind is slightly heavier than the ones inside the bays. The way from the car park to the beach was lovely too, cows and horses onsite to interact with.

Nice place for walk. Lovely clean sand beach. Car spaces. Car park fee £5. There are toilets and caffe on there. This place is friendly for children and dogs. You can also sit on one of outside picnics tables. I loved long walk on wild see scenario. Recommend. You can spend here whole day - if weather is dry😊

Great carpark on green area. Wasn't busy when we visted on a Sunday at the end of August. No problem parking our 6.5m motorhome. Easy access to boardwalks and beach. Toilets and coffee trailer available (we didn't use either).

We stayed at the campsite here for one night and really enjoyed it. It's a well kept site with good toilet and shower facilities although the toilets were a little bit of a distance from our pitch. The setting is fantastic with lovely scenery, nice forest walks and a large lake with a big castle on the hill overlooking the lake. From the campsite it's a short 10 min walk into the town where you have a supermarket, pubs, food outlets, coffe shops etc. We will be back for a longer stay in the near future and will probably bring bicycles and kayaks to make more use of the facilities here. There's a maze and play area's for kids to enjoy and plenty of space to run around. Definitely worth a visit.

Great walks around a lovely lake. Loads of people there on a Bank Holiday but it's so big that it seems almost deserted. Great toilet facilities that are continually cleaned.

It's a truly beautiful place for a day out. It boasts amazing natural beauty, surrounded by mountains. There's also a lovely lake and a castle nearby. Additionally, the peace maze would be great for kids to explore.

We only checked out the maze on the way through and the play park. Was 5£ to park. Was quiet the day we visited but kids were happy with the stop.

Beautiful park for sports, walking dog / dogs, ideal place for family time - camping and paddle board, kanoes, kayaks available for rent.

I used the non electric caravan site at Castlewellan Forest Park for the UK holiday weekend. Fab location ... pity Newry & Mourne Council who now manage the site could not provide site maps on site.

Extraordinary location. 10/10 campervan facilities. Hot showers, heated bathrooms. Waste disposal. Staff are exemplary in keeping toys place in tip top condition. Fantastic forest walk and beautifully kept gardens. Saw the Aurora lights last night. A wonderful time, definitely a spot to come back to when in the North again.

This was one of my favorite forest experiences we had. The trails are so beautiful. The walkways are accessible but feel secluded. There are waterfalls, bridges, and little alcoves. There were lakes and picnic areas. We did a 4 mile hike and had so much fun. It is stunning.

Prepare yourself with the right walking shoes, a picnic lunch, jackets in case you get cold. Tons of places for a picnic lunch. Great little magic moments throughout. Lots of views and sounds of streams and rivers. Some small plaques explaining the history pieces. Fantastic assortment of large tree varieties, wish they had the botanical scientific names in front of many of the species as they are very unique.

Beautiful forest for a nice day out in the nature. We took the river route, aprox 5.7km, it was very chilled and flat. Everything is super well kept. Will definitely be coming back again to stay at the campsite and enjoy the other routes. Tip: come during autumn, preferably last week of October, the colours are stunning!

Spent the day here while raining and it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. Coming from Arizona we were able to experience a true Irish Rain lol. Sunny might have been preferred but you see things a bit differently when it’s raining haha. It literally was one of the best places we have been in

There is never a bad time for a visit. It resets your heart and emotional well-being. The changing seasons makes you feel like it's your first visit all over again. Toilets are clean and free. Even when it's busy there is still loads of parking. Bring a picnic, even in November we sat with our picnic on one of the grassed areas on fold up chairs. There are steep and uneven paths. It's a country park. So it's not going to be flat and tarmaced. But it's still great for all ages. Definitely worth a visit or 6.

Beautiful forest park, great for families with children and dog owners. Car park on site £5 also caravan and camping site. Filming location of “Game of Thrones”. On a sunny day you can jump into the river or fish.

The walk from Donard car park to the top of Slieve Donard is absolutely beautiful. The Glen River path is very scenic. The walk to the saddle is tough, but the hard part is still to come! The saddle to the summit is fairly tough but satisfying when you get to the top. On one visit, we had sun at the bottom, rain halfway up and ice at the top, so prepare for all weather outcomes.

Wow, beautiful mountain. Went the weekend of 11-13th July 2025 and the weather was unbelievable, we set off early. 4:30am to be exact. Northern Ireland had a very hot day on the 11th so going early was a brilliant shout, the view was crystal clear. The hike itself wasn’t too bad, the final stretch with the wall was very tough, it’s very steep. Seeing the trig point in the distance was a relief, make sure when you get to the cross road with the wall that you turn left and not right, as it’s a different trig. 10/10 would recommend

Stunning location. Be prepared for all weather's. We had sunshine at the bottom, rain half way up and snow at the top. Tough but very enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this walk although it’s tough in parts due to the steepness of the path for the final ascent and due to low cloud at the top we didn’t get the great views. It took us 5 hours in total including two decent breaks. The best thing about the walk is the amazing path which starts in the forest with beautiful natural wood edges and continues in stone right up to the summit. The work that went into this path is incredible and it has made climbing the highest mountain in Ulster accessible to more people. Well done to those who created this path.

Park in Donard car park and follow the well defined path to the top. The hike is tough so bring food, water, extra layers and a phone. The views at the top can be limited as fog can appear out of nowhere but the views on the way up are spectacular.

Wow, the views along this hike are breathtaking, and the hike itself is very much a great challenge. We did it in a bit over 4 hours, not counting a few breaks along the way. It's tough and steep in places but so worth the effort. Just bring the right gear- plenty of water, proper hiking boots, a cap, suncream, food/snacks, a good jacket, maybe a fresh t-shirt etc.

Unless you have been here before or are with someone who knows the area, it is easy to lose your way before reaching the signs that guide you along your route. You DEFINITELY need appropriate footwear, climbing poles and jackets if your are taking on the challenge of climbing Slieve Donard and reaching the summit. Reviews say that the walk is about 2km, this is false. I walked near 4.5km and still had not reached the summit. It takes about 7.5 hours to walk to the summit and back at a good pace and you definitely need to be an experienced hiker or need to be fit if reaching the summit or the wall are your intentions. There are steep places in areas, especially at the top that you do need to be careful of. The weather is changeable so you do need to be prepared for the worst (fog and rain) at the summit of the mountain. The walk up to the summit from the start of the wall would take about 30 minutes at a good pace and is definitely pretty difficult if you aren't an experienced hiker, or even if you are. Though after all that, the view is definitely worth the trek up.

What shall I say. I love the place but it can get crazy busy. I wouldn't go near it during public holidays as I don't enjoy crowds of people. Watch out for car or bike shows and Markets. There are lovely shops there, easy access and plenty of parking.

Plenty of shops, plenty to do, games for the kids on the walk, you can easily spend whole day here. Also starting point if you plan to do Game of Thrones tour. Shuttle bus starts here (bout 20min drive to actual Studio). You can buy tickets in the office.

Has really improved since it first opened years ago. Plenty of parking and good variety of shops. Next and Nike are excellent here, I always end up buying something in both. I would also recommend visiting The Range across the road, it’s probably the best one I have been to!

Checked online and the item was in stock in The Range When I got there I couldn't find it. I asked 2 members of staff for help. First shrugged and said I don't know, second said probably in diy showed him web page that said it was in stock, he said you don't want to go by that. Thank goodness I didn't do click and collect or I'd have bought something that didn't exist.

An honour to exhibit a new sculpture body of work at F.E. McWilliam Gallery, alongside Elizabeth Blackadder, Joan Eardley, Alison Watt, FE McWilliam. A beautiful, meditative setting with super gallery staff and Gallery Guides.

Visited the cafe for breakfast. Lovely cooked breakfast using quality ingredients. Coffee was also very good - and hot. Staff pleasant and efficient.

Fantastic contemporary art gallery and studio dedicated to Banbridge born sculpture and artist F.E McWilliam. It's got many McWilliam pieces and also houses temporary exhibitions of other artists. There's a lovely outside area for enjoying the gardens, outside sculptures and having a snack. You can visit for free and it's got a great shop and excellent cafe. There's plenty of free parking and close to an outlet shopping centre, if you want to spend a good afternoon in the area.

Lovely gallery with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Exhibitions change regularly. Great cafe serving coffee, traybakes and lunch overlooking the beautiful garden. The gallery celebrates the work of local sculptor FE McWilliams and has his workshop in the garden.

Colin davidson exhibition is currently on. FE McWilliam is known for his sculptures of The women in Belfast. The gallery space has an oudoor garden, a look at FE's studio space and colourful garden sculptures on the walls. The cafe has delicious traybakes and coffee fairly priced. The exhibition is free to the public and host world famous artists like Colin Davidson. In my opinion the most talented living artist from Northern Ireland. We visited at 11am on a saturday for a free guided tour of his work. the tour was very informative of his artist journey and how he has built his professional practice. This Gallery is just off the A1 main road to Dublin. Beside the boulevard banbridge, which has a range of shops, restaurants and cinema you could make a real day of your visit. This exhibition runs until 10th September and is worth visiting over and over again.

Great to stumble across this spot. Great food presented in a very... artistic way! Also great to enjoy the quietness of the gallery! Worth a visit.

This was so fun!! Katrina was our tour guide and she was great. Really friendly, good fun and heaps of interesting facts. This is a really great tour, you get to sample lots and you'll probably walk away with a packet or two. Seems like a good company and they have done a few things to lessen their carbon footprint. Our kids had an absolute blast.

Highly recommend this tour,the guides were top notch,they were informative and entertaining.It seems like our favourite crisps are manufactured in a very happy environment.

We had a great time with josh, enjoyed tasting all the crisps, tour guides were very knowledgeable and didn't feel like we missed any part of the process. Free crisps at the end very much appreciated, a greater selection of freebies and a bit more show and tell of the frying room and popcorn would have been great.

A fantastic day out at Tayto tours. It was amazing to see behind the scenes of the crisp/snack factory and get lots of samples on the way. Our tour guide Josh was brilliant, very informative and good fun. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit for something completely different!

Overall amazing experience. We were nervous about just going as a family of four but we couldn't have been made felt more welcome. Laura was there every step of the way and the kids loved her, we made rockets, done archery and the netted adventure. Our favourite was the netted adventure but we loved it all definitely worth the money. The dorm room we stayed in had one of the best showers I've had

We had such a brilliant day at Carlingford Adventure Centre, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, active, and memorable team outing! We were warmly greeted by Andrew at reception, who got us off to a great start. We chose the water activities and went kayaking with Steve, who was absolutely fantastic! He made everything easy and enjoyable, shared some local history along the way, and kept the energy high with fun games on the water. An amazing experience from start to finish—perfect for team bonding!

We went on our Mystery Tour to Carlingford Adventure Centre, and honestly, they looked after us so well from start to finish! Andrew and Charm handled our booking and couldn’t have been more helpful — every detail was spot on. The activities were brilliant fun (and a great laugh!) with instructors who were full of energy, great craic, and really knew their stuff. We stayed in Slieve Foy accommodation, which was lovely and perfectly located. The centre also recommended and booked PJ O’Hare’s for our first evening and Ma Bakers for our second night — both were fantastic choices! We loved every minute of our stay and can’t thank the Carlingford Adventure Centre team enough for making it such a memorable weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

We were here for Corporate Team Bonding over two days. Day one was kayaking and it was absolutely beautiful. The scenery was good and the kayaking was for all difficulties. Loved it. Tristan was a blast, so helpful and encouraging. We had him for both days. And we did the Crystal Maze Challenge on Day two, and we have never laughed so hard. We had a blast. Team well bonded. And a great few days was had by all 🙏👏👍

I had an absolutely diabolical time at carlingford adventure center. This was mainly due to one of the workers that I believe to be called Rob. He discriminated against me and a couple of my friends due to our own personal beliefs. We also happen to be a different colour to Rob. The food was also crap and I have an upset tummy now because of it. I truly do hope that rob gets treated by his manager like he treated me. I hope he loses his job because it would have been a decent experience if Carlingford took the time to hire better workers

It's a very pleasant place for young people. My son attended the five-day camp for the second time and is very happy with it. Next year, he'll be going for the third time and is already looking forward to it. The only downside is the lack of refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, and to use the money paid, he has to change the date.

I did a team building for 9 people on high ropes for half a day. Highly enjoyed our time. Our guide for the day couldn't have been nicer and more patient with 9 women terrified of heights! Will definately be back!

Me and my Family had an absolutely fantastic experience at Dundalk Racing Stadium! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine care. A special mention has to go to Laura—her communication in the lead-up to the event was second to none. She made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and her attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. On the night, the floor staff were outstanding. They couldn’t do enough for us—always on hand, friendly, and going out of their way to make sure everyone had a brilliant time. It really made the experience even more enjoyable. The stadium itself is a great venue, and when it’s matched with this level of service, it makes for a truly memorable night out. Highly recommend for a night at the races!

Visited Dundalk Stadium for the first time for dog racing and had a great evening! The atmosphere is amazing — lively, exciting, and full of energy. There’s plenty of free car parking, which is a big plus. On the ground floor, there’s a takeaway café — handy for a quick bite, but the food was quite plain, with no seasoning or much flavour. Upstairs there’s a full restaurant with panoramic views of the track; we didn’t try it this time, but it’s definitely on the list for our next visit. The stadium is clean, well-organised, and offers both greyhound and horse racing events. Great facilities, bars, and plenty of seating. I hope that next time we’ll have a bit more knowledge about dog racing itself — for now, we just enjoyed the spectacle!

Dundalk provides a key outlet for Irish racing, so that I am sure is important, and I think it would be a good place for a company outing. The greyhound racing just with horses instead of greyhounds felling is just not for me.

A few of us went here for a night out. Had the carvery(very tasty) on arrival and then a few pints and bets. Lots of tote facilities and also the traditional bookmakers available.Thankfully came out ahead on the betting

A nice church and grounds. The grounds house some interesting tombs and some sculptures along its rear wall, you can walk all the way around the church and there is parking near by, cheers

Saint Peter's Church a beautiful Ireland. beautiful architecture, including a distinctive spire. The Church is an important landmark attracting people from the town for prayer and worship. It also is a major attraction for people visiting the town.

We had just come from visiting Newgrange and wanted to walk around and find some restaurants. Walking down the road and stumbling onto this magnificent structure was certainly unexpected. This is worth seeing first hand!

Church was closed but the cemetery is full of history - I came here after going on a guided tour at the Martello Tower at Millmount Museum, from which I learned about the Cadaver Stones, a memento Mori from the Middle Ages. See pictures.

St Patrick's church is in the center of town and cannot be missed with the spectacular spire to help locate it. The church is lovely and a beautiful building. The interior, like most churches is very relaxed and a respectful, ambient athmosphere. The exhibits are very well explained and the story is detailed in exhibits. There is also a relic of the true cross which is quite interesting. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

I visited this church to attend a concert. The musicians were top and the acoustics excellent. But the church itself was so beautifully kept and decorated that made a fantastic backdrop for the concert.

Excellent fun centre that seems to have all a child needs. There is kids party's, lasser tag, bowling, food, arcade games, swimming. Climbing cage, etc. Parking is good and the staff are very nice. My childhood had a fantastic time.

First problem is parking, just not enough. The water park, changing rooms are roasting but the water park is cold ,it should really be warmer especially for toddlers,if the water park was hotter,it would be a thoroughly enjoyable experience but it's just too cold . There's one Jacuzzi between a lot of adults which is unfortunate. Lifeguards are on top of things and take there job seriously ,it's good to see they take the responsibility of there job with seriousness. It's great craic for the kids but it's only downfall is the temperature. The arcade and bowling and VR area is enjoyable and there's many things to do and enjoy here . The restaurant is flat out all day,food is quality and tasty,the staff are ran off there feet . The staff all over are very friendly and helpful,any questions I asked were answered,The toilets were always clean and someone was walking around disinfecting handles and cleaning glass . I would recommend funtasia for a great day out for the family, just arrive early and go with the flow.

This is our first and last time at Funtasia. We are from the States. We have many arcades like Funtasia there. We have never been so ripped off by an arcade like we were here. The games are rigged against the children that play them. I saw no child actually win from the E claw machines. When my child did win from an e claw ticket machine, the door to her prize would not open. We waited 10 minutes for an employee to get her her tickets. On a positive note, the place was clean. I do not recommend.

Lovely experience with my daughter! We had such a fantastic time at Funtasia Drogheda. My daughter was absolutely thrilled — from the water park to the arcade, every moment was fun and memorable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. A perfect spot for family bonding and laughter. We’ll definitely be back!

I am giving it 3 stars because I felt that the water area was too small and more suitable for children up to the age of 3. For adults, there are only 2 slides and nothing else. Most of the rides outside are also mainly for small children. There’s a nice café and they also serve food, but it would have been better if there were some activities for adults as well.

Beautiful castle, butterfly garden, walled garden, fairie garden, and I believe a West garden. There was plenty of room on the grounds for two separate sports games going on in two different fields, and the parents, to be in the free parking. Cafe, restaurant, gift shop, also on grounds.Thrre also was ruins of an Abbey with a cemetery surrounding. A free museum, before you get to castle, and with paid admission, another museum under the castle. I believe they have a guided tour every 1/2 a hour.

I had an absolutely lovely visit to Malahide Castle, and the guided tour was a real highlight thanks to our guide, Darina. The castle itself is beautiful, but the tour struck the perfect balance between storytelling and giving us time to explore the rooms on our own. Darina was fantastic — incredibly funny, charming, and wonderfully easy to understand. She spoke clearly and patiently, making the tour accessible even for visitors who don’t speak English fluently. Even when a few children were being a bit chaotic and touched things they really shouldn’t have, she stayed calm, professional, and kind, which impressed all of us. After the tour, I visited the botanical gardens and the butterfly house, both of which were stunning. The butterfly house in particular completely blew me away. A beautiful place, a great experience, and a guide who truly made my day. Highly recommended!

This was a very pretty castle. We did the castle and gardens tour. Our guide Brendan gave lots of good information about the family and the castle. Get there a little before your tour time so that you can go through the family tree timeline I like that this one has furniture in it so you could get a feel for the life there at the castle.

Beautiful castle. Interesting history. Close to Dublin. I highly recommend it. Our tour guide was great and had a lot of knowledge not only about the inhabitants but about life in Ireland during different time periods in history. I found him interesting and the stories even more lively. The grounds are beautiful but because of the rain, we couldn’t explore as much as we wanted to. I highly recommend the shop and cafe as well.

Wonderful time. Tour was informative and not too long. Guide was wonderful. The walk through the gardens and butterfly house were great. Plan to spend 3 plus hours if you want to walk through the gardens and butterfly house.

The whole area is so well-organised and we spent almost a whole day over there. We paid €17 each (adult) for the entrance ticket, guide tour included. The lady tour guide was fantastic. The castle itself quite small but very well curated, totally worth a visit! We spent time afterword at the shop and the cafe.

An absolutely wonderful place to visit — one of the best family days out in Dublin! The castle itself is fascinating, full of history and beautifully preserved, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who make the tour really enjoyable. The gardens are immaculate — from the old trees and flower beds to the wide open lawns, everything feels peaceful and perfectly maintained. The butterfly house was a real highlight for us — a magical little world full of colour and calm, ideal for kids and adults alike. The playground is one of the best we’ve seen anywhere, clean, safe, and full of clever design features that keep children entertained for ages. The Avoca restaurant and shop are fantastic too — great coffee, delicious food, and plenty of local products and gifts to browse. Everything is beautifully presented, and the staff are friendly and welcoming throughout. It’s the kind of place you could easily spend half a day just wandering, relaxing, and enjoying the atmosphere. Plenty of parking, good facilities, and overall an excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dublin or looking for a perfect weekend outing. 🌳🦋☕️🇮🇪

Best thing we did in Ireland. Highly recommend! The site and the whole experience was fantastic. Our tour guides were amazing, too. The opportunity to enter the ancient tunnel and go 20 meters in to the central room and burial chambers was unforgettable. It’s a mystery with many questions left unanswered. There’s also dozens of Neolithic/Megalithic art carvings in stone surrounding the tombs. Visitors centre was great. Loved it all!! A must see IMHO 👀 Enjoy!!

This place is truly amazing and full of history. I don’t think many people, even those living in Ireland, know about it. It feels like time travel—taking you back 5,300 years. It’s one of the oldest man-made structures on Earth and is very well protected. Make sure to book your tickets online before visiting. It’s absolutely worth more than what you pay. All the guides are wonderful and explained everything thoroughly throughout the tour. We loved it so much and learned a lot from the experience.

Incredible experience! Allowed inside for an amazing recreation of the solstice. Whole experience really well curated and taken in small groups by bus to ensure it's never busy. Guide informative.

As a tour guide who has visited Amazing Historical site for over 20 years as a private guide Newgrange and knowth never fails to Amaze me. I think anyone that comes to Ireland and doesn't visit these sites and this Magical and mystical Boyne Valley region. The Visitor centre is one of the best in Europe also.

Incredible experience. Our guide Sinéad was brilliant, and her use of Irish throughout the tour made it particularly special. The moment where the tomb lights up was surprisingly emotional. A must-see.

We did Newgrange and Knowth. Definitely cool but I much preferred the stone circles. They seemed more natural/untouched. These sites are extensively rebuilt - which is great to save what we can. They just didnt give any vibes at all. Maybe too many people. Sept 9, 2024. I missed Broadleas and Athgreany to see this and its one of my biggest regrets of the trip. 2nd trip we did Broadleas but Athgreany is closed indefinitely.

Came here with my class of 9th graders today. We had an absolute blast. It was very interesting to learn about three Gaelic sports and then have the kids try them out. 100% recommend!

This tour was so fun and a great way to understand the history of these traditional Irish sports. The experience has super friendly and patient trainers. The trainers teach you the rules and skills step by step, which then allows you to play a short game. The tour can be as intense or as relaxed as you want. It was a very memorable experience and I would highly recommend doing this tour for an Irish experience. The experience is about 3 hours long and you learn three sports: the first is handball (not the same as Olympic handball - more like squash or racquetball). Then, they teach you the rules of hurling, which is like field hockey mixed with lacrosse mixed with baseball mixed with cricket. The last sport they teach you is gaelic football. That is like basketball mixed with soccer mixed with volleyball and also like American football or rugby. They take breaks between each sport to explain the rules and give you glasses of water. The facilities are very nice as well. It is super interesting to learn the history of these sports, how they came to be, and how the Gaelic Athletic Association is an amateur sporting association -- in fact, it is the largest amateur sports association in the world. Each neighborhood in Ireland has its own club, and the residents play only for their area clubs. The association does not have any professional players - just amateur players. They explained how previously the British would ban or restrict their ability to play these traditional sports. Recently there has been a resurgence in these traditional sports, which is great to see right now. The trainers also answer all of the questions you may have about any of the sports, how to play the sports, or even about life in Ireland. In conclusion, this experience playing Irish sports is the best and most fun way to experience your time in Ireland, especially if you are traveling with children who like to do active things while on vacation in a foreign country. As a parent, this experience is a great alternative to indoor activities such as video games, youtube, chess, or other games you may play indoors. I can not recommend this experience enough. My children are still talking about the three sports even though it is over. They will remember this experience forever and playing Gaelic sports will be a highlight of the vacation for them.

Fantastic day with my 15 and 10 (special needs) yr old boys and my wife. Had a great time learning about the games then playing them. Staff and everyone were very awesome and accommodating.

We had an excellent time learning about the traditional Irish games of Gaelic football, Hurling, and Gaelic handball. The staff was friendly, welcoming and passionate. A great place for a group activity!

Cormac and his team are amazing. Not only do they do an excellent job teaching the basics of Gaelic games in a way that allow people to understand and then participate in each sport, they help participants understand the cultural significance of Gaelic games to the people of Ireland. Amazing experience!

Gaelic games were SO fun!! We had such a big group and they accommodated us so well. I had the best experience learning about these traditional Irish games!! Highly recommend!!

We had a BLAST and learned so much too! Stephen was a great instructor and added in a lot of interesting facts about the history and culture of the games. Would recommend this to any group of any age!! 10/10 and a highlight of our Ireland road trip!

We visited two weeks ago and it was definitely worth it! The staff were friendly and welcoming. There are rides for both kids and adults, which made it fun for the whole family. We also enjoyed the zoo - a nice bonus to the day. The only downside was the long waiting time for every ride. Other than that, we had a great time and would recommend visiting.

Generally good, I'd give it 4.5 stars in fairness. October turned out to be a good time to visit, still a bit of atmosphere but fewer crowds and less queuing. Good variety of rides, and the staff were very pleasant - friendly, and helpful. The zoo/ raptor area and petting zoo were fun and well worth the visit. Again, lovely staff. Otherwise the rides were fun, value for money, thrilling enough and well run / maintained. Worth a special mention - a really decent amount of Blue Badge parking in the car park well above average. More places should follow suit. On the down side, the 5 D cinema was very disappointing. The movement of the seats was out of sync with the movie, the 3D element was all but non existent. It was the only attraction we all thought wasn't up to par. Overall though, very good value for money including the gift shop.

Our 3 year old had the best day at Emerald park. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't any wait for the junior zone rides. Even the adult rides were only about 10-15 minutes wait. Plenty to do and see. Great experience walking into the Lemur enclosure. Food in the restaurant was amazing, massive portions and great value.

Brilliant day out. Went with a 5 and a 2 year old, the youngest is 96cm tall and he could go on almost all of the rides in the junior zone, which has a minimum limit of 95cm. There were about 10 rides they could go on (that we found, anyway), so they were thrilled. There's also really big playgrounds for them to run around in and expend energy. We didn't really have to queue, and we could easily leave the buggy by every ride whilst we went on with the kids. There were lots of benches available to sit.down and rest when needed. The best part of the day was the Tricky Trail, there for the Halloween season - it was amazing! Lots of interaction with the staff who.couldnt have been friendlier. We'd like to go back in the summer and when they're a little older too. One thing is that the online interactive map kept freezing, so get a paper map if you can.

The park is not in county Dublin and there is not Public transport from Dublin City centre. The day that we went they were not many people as It was raining quiet a lot in the morning. So, we didn't have to wait long. The park is divided in two main sections: zoo and attractions. The attraction area could be also divided between adults and children. There is enough attractions to spend the day. In the zoo area, for me the star was the secretary bird. The first time I see one so close. There is a show where they showed you three raptors: secretary bird, bold eagle and falcon. It was really impressive to see these majestic birds.

Really incredible place to visit. The quality and amenities there are fantastic. It was a great day out, plenty of toilets and snack locations (important for the kids), and the food was excellent and very reasonable priced. The rides there are very good, something for everyone! Would really recommend!

I liked tayto park since I was a child, so here are some things that I love and dont love: >The bigger rides are amazing. My personal favourites are the Endeavour and the Cú Chulainn. They make your stomachs tingle and adrenaline flow. The Cú has THE drop that me and my body will never forget, but the tracks are so loud. >The smaller ones are mighty, eg. Flight school and Air race. They're good for the family but bring the same joy as the others. >I miss when Tayto owned the park as they would give you free crisps after you went. But what I do appreciate about the new ownership is the addition of Tír na nÓg. I liked the Quest, the Celtic Dreamer was average at best, but Na Fianna Force was so good I went twice, even with a torn ACL. My leg felt stable even though it is a suspended coaster. >It seems the junior zone is fun for little kids, as it was for me when I was small. At my grown age, I still like the Pony Monorail. >The food is exquisite. I loved them swirly chips around a stick, and dont even get me started on The Lodge. It's a big wooden carvery that serves great dishes for a large volume of people. Their chips are amazing, and I like their breaded chicken, especially the Parmigiana. Love, love, love. >The staff are lovely. They are usually young people who initiate a bit of friendly talk before the ride starts. I think they are very chill. One thing is, the rides take a good 5-10 minutes to let people in and secure. >The one star taken away from my review is just from personal interactions. The clientele can be really shabby, as the teenagers are cheeky and just some strange people around the park. Overall, I really like the one and only theme park in Ireland.

Beautiful gardens with several walks within and multiple large glasshouses also. A large selection of all kinds of plants, flowers and trees, many not native to Ireland. Good selection of wild birds and squirrels visible too. Gorgeous rose garden too. Free admission and car parking available also. Located adjacent too Glasnevin Cemetery with a gate between them, so both can be visited in one day.

Beautiful gardens to visit with plenty of colour still in mid October thanks to the variety of planting schemes. Peaceful and a lovely tranquil atmosphere for those looking to be ecscape to some green space for an hour or two. Glass houses are very like those in Kew Gardens - cosy and full of plants to enjoy !

These gardens are just beautiful. Very well maintained, (huge!) and we had a great time here. The fact that this beautiful place is free is astounding. There are also lots of squirrels in the surrounding area and they come right up and take food out of your hand.

What a wonderful place, which is free to explore. It's mostly very peaceful and relaxed with lots of paths and trails. There's countless species of plants and trees. A number of greenhouses for plants that require warmer tropical climates. There's also a couple of lovely ponds with ducks and some herring. For me the curious squirrels are the best part, they are fairly tame and will approach you if they think you have food for them. Vegetables and herbs are also grown in their own walled garden. There a great cafe with the usual tea and coffee with pastries. They also do sandwiches and best of all some tasty dinners. It's wheelchair and buggy friendly and a paid carpark is in the grounds.

The national botanical garden is a hidden gem in Dublin. There is no charge for entry and there are a number of greenhouses with plants from all over the world. If you’re looking for an easy day, I would hardly recommend it. There is a café just outside of the botanical gardens that’s worth stopping by I can’t remember the name at the moment but as you exitthe gardens cross the street and turn to your left and you will find it about 50 m down.

Great place to visit, easily spend a few hours wondering around enjoying how creative nature is, so many interesting plants from around the world. Parking on site but queuing can be required to get in as spaces limited.Also can visit famous cemetery on site where lots of legendary Irish people are buried

Very beautiful and well maintained. So many varieties of flowers and plants. The glass houses in itself is a thing of beauty. The walk through Glasnevin cemetery leading up to the botanical garden is equally beautiful. The best thing is both are free to visit. Will definitely visit again.

Any fan of history needs to visit! The individuals who rest at Glasnevin have shaped the fabric of Irish history and, in some cases, the history of many other nations. When climbing the tower, be aware of any physical limitations as the stairs already 150+ and perhaps steeper than one might think. The tours will give you the chance to hear of the deeds performed by those who now rest there. Larger gatherings should probably book in advance, but the spontaneous individual will most likely be able to buy a spot on a tour at the entrance.

Very interesting tour of the cemetery. The tour guide Cillian was very knowledgeable & full of information which made the tour very enjoyable. We also climbed to the top of the round tower all 198 steps. Would definetly recommend to visit

Amazing tour! We really enjoyed every minute of it. So interesting & our guide Pat was so passionate & conveyed the information in such a clear & concise manner. If you enjoy Irish history this is a must visit! Nice little cafe located at the entrance & the cemetery is located right beside the National Botanic gardens. Together they would make a great day trip. The gardens have a wonderful array of plants & it is free entry.

We visited the Cemetry on a bright Wednesday morning. We had booked the Tour and it turned out to be a very wise move. The Tour was excellent and the guide showed us the graves of all the notable people who are buried there. The walk is on very good surface with no inclines or dodgy footpaths. The guide gave us a brief resume of each notable figure at their grave and their standing in Irish history. We would highly recommend this Tour and to round it off we had a lovely lunch in the restaurant nearby.

A surprisingly engaging visit with thoughtful guided stories that add depth to the place. The grounds are impressive and peaceful, and walking through them gives a strong sense of history. It’s a meaningful stop if you enjoy places with character and reflection.

Amazing castle.. love the history. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable. The tour takes about an hour inside and will cost money, exploring the grounds is free and maybe 30 to 45 minutes for that. The Braveheart castle... worth seeing.

Trim Castle is a beautiful historical landmark to visit, with a rich and intriguing history. The castle grounds are free to visit and explore, whereas entering the castle is possible for a small fee of €5 per person. We decided to take the guided tour, which was led by William. I highly, highly recommend this. William is very knowledgeable and humorous. His knowledge regarding the castle's history goes far beyond what you would expect. He answered any questions posed by the group with sheer joy and enthusiasm. The tour takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, and takes you through the various rooms and floors in the castle. The view from the rooftop is amazing. Thank you William! It has been a pleasure to listen to you.

I really enjoyed my visit to this castle. Its history is fascinating. Plus, the views over the city from above are excellent. 1. Largest Castle in Ireland: Trim Castle is the largest Anglo-Norman stronghold in Ireland, covering an area of ​​approximately 30,000 m². It was built in the 12th century by Hugh de Lacy as the center of the Lordship of Meath, and its massive walls with towers and a moat made it virtually impregnable. 2. Unique Architecture: The castle's central keep (donjon) has a rare cruciform shape with twenty corners, which distinguishes it from typical Norman fortresses. This three-story structure was erected on the site of an ancient ringfort and is surrounded by a massive curtain wall 450 meters long.   3. Film Role: Trim Castle became famous as the filming location for the movie "Braveheart," starring Mel Gibson, where it stood in for the medieval walls of York and London. The war film "The Big Red One," starring Mark Hamm, was also filmed here.

We visited Trim Castle on a sunny afternoon and absolutely loved it! Even though it’s mostly ruins today, you can still feel how grand it must have been — Ireland’s largest Norman castle, right by the River Boyne. The grounds are free to walk around, and entry to the tower is just €4 per person. The view from the top is fantastic, and it’s fun to know parts of Braveheart were filmed here. A beautiful mix of history, atmosphere, and scenery — definitely worth a visit!

Trim castle has a free guided tour, I believe every hour. Interesting facts, and three built models, showing how it was built up through the years. Quite a few towers, had fallen down, or been scavenged. There is a large cathedral tower falling down across from the castle. And, when you get above the Keep, you can see by most of the stones surrounding the castle where the walls were, a sheep gate, and where most of the towers stood.

A really great old castle, one of the largest because of the area inside the walls is quite big. There’s a really good guided tour inside the Castle Keep. You have to take the tour to see the inside, well worth it. The tour takes you all the way to the top, which is a fantastic view over the area and the town. I was lucky it was a sunny warning when I got there and took the tour and it started to rain just as I was leaving the castle. Get there early at opening before the crowds. There’s lots to see inside the Keep with models of what the Keep used to look like. You can walk around inside the castle grounds with lots of good views of the Keep from the outside. The tour guide was very informative and happy to answer my many questions.

We had a lovely time here over the weekend. I was really pleased with the experience and the prices are great, usually these type of places are expensive but this was not. Food was also reasonably charged. My daughter loved the bouncy castles and go karts. Some of the animals were hiding in their huts so we didn't see them all but was nicely laid out and the animals seemed happy and well cared for.

Fantastic place to spend the whole day really. Very clean, taken care of and entertaining.Kids had amazing time running around, checking on animals, the educational centre is fantastic! The restaurant has delicious food and the oeices are very reasonable. Can highly recommend!!

I visited on a weekend. Though my group of 4 people got tickets at the counter on arrival, it is recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid waiting time or disappointment. The entire place is designed for kids. There are many exotic birds and animals. Some are placed in small cages whereas some are in open fenced areas. There is a separate playground for kids too. Good place to visit in a group.

Lots of pros: food and beverages are reasonable in quality and price. We were told no pizza before 12:30, but then we saw someone with one at 12:15 🤨 The animals seem well cared for and they have many species. The playground was a lot of fun for the kids The road is very narrow so you might have a hairy moment trying to squeeze through.

If the child is 5yo or bigger, will surely enjoy the place. There is golf, football ground, zipline apart from the animals.

Clonfert farm is the best pet farm in the whole of Ireland and excellently maintained. We could discover a lot of exotic animals and birds like marmoset , racoons , meerkats , Alpacas , wild birds from Latin America , Africa , East Asia etc. Feeding is limited to very few animals though. The Fairy trail, artefacts, Decor , Enclosures, details on the exotic animals are intriguing. The play facilities are one of the farm’s standout features. There are multiple outdoor playgrounds scattered throughout the park with Mini golf, Kids Buggy Ride, Bouncing Castle , Mini zip line and much more . There’s also an indoor soft play area, Barn Coffee shop, cafe , BBQ Area and Birthday venues Overall a great place to visit with family & kids

Stayed for the weekend for a baby moon and birthday and really enjoyed the experience! Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of options, would recommend going early as it’s quite busy! The spa is quiet and treatments were great, the pool is child friendly and can also be busy but overall would recommend! Ate in South bar for dinner and the Palmer for lunch but for value for money would recommend the South more and it’s a much more relaxed atmosphere! Only point I would improve is that the hotel, rooms, pool and showers are all a bit chilly and could do with being a few degrees warmer!

Beautiful resort with excellent rooms and dining. Stayed via Amex FHR on the first and last night of our trip to Ireland. Dining credit covered a delicious dinner, once at the South and once at the Palmer. Breakfast was plentiful, with a nice buffet and ala carte items included. Staff were great but the grounds are the star of this place. Green, lush and very well kept.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The food was excellent and the rooms comfortable. I was a little surprised, however, that for a 5 star hotel, we were lacking for a properly serviced room. I always check my amenities when I first get into the room so there are no surprises later. It's a good thing because of the 5 bottles of product in the room, 4 were empty! I had to go to the front desk so get some so we'd have them for our showers in the morning. Also husband grabbed a Kleenex and it turned out to be the only one in the box. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were lacking. They were flat as a pancake, where 1 pillow wasn't enough loft and 2 pillows were too much. Ended up with a very sore neck!

Highly recommended excellent professional staff ... front desk person went above and beyond even though checl was after midnight really appreciated same... room top class and breakfast was great with excellent service by a great team. Food was good too!! Brief view of grounds leaving superb as well. Will return.

You could search this place for years & you’d never find an inch that didn’t possess some kind of beauty. It reminds me of the line used car dealers would peddle to possible (gullible) clients when describing how affordable their cars were, but in depicting the sheer elegance of The K Club it’s true; You have to see it to believe it.

This was our first visit to Wallaby Woods. It's not widely signposted but it is easy to find on Google Maps. Have a care on the roads nearby as they are bog roads and can be quite bumpy in places. Wallaby Woods itself deserves to be much better known than it is as it's probably the best attraction in the area for children. We spent over five hours there with my nephew's, they particularly enjoyed the bouncy castles and the zip line. The grounds are very well cared for, as are the animals, some of whom you get to hold. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The food in the cafe is reasonably priced and very nice. If you're looking for a place to keep the kids occupied for an afternoon then I would not hesitate to recommend Wallaby Woods, you won't be disappointed.

This place pleasantly surprised me. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is very pretty forest walk with lots of animals and flowers. We also got to pet snake, rabbit, tortoise, guinea pig, donkey and a dragon! We also got to feed albino wallabies, really great place.

Great day out in this pet farm with great playgrounds for all ages. It's not very big so don't need to worry that kids will get tired walking around. We loved the zip line and the little playground located conveniently beside the cafe. There is couple of picnic spots and a football pitch. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic day out! Really is a hidden gem. Well worth the price. Ample parking and picnic areas (including sheltered). Great little coffee shop/cafe. Indoor/outdoor play areas, lovely walking trails, good history of the area! Highly recommend and we will certainly return!

We had such a fantastic time here! This place is a truly great place to visit and learn, offering so much to see and do. The highlight for us was the huge indoor playground—it's practically a maze with tunnels and slides that kept the kids (and me!) entertained for ages. ​Beyond the play areas, they have a lot of variety, including fun things like a train ride and an outdoor playground. The live animals were a wonderful addition, and the little snack café and gift shop were perfect for a quick break. ​And for a memorable (and slightly spooky!) experience, the houses with the mannequins are a sight to see—they look so realistic, I wasn't sure if they might come to life! Highly recommend this spot for a full day of fun and exploration. Five stars!

Great day out for kids. Loads to do onsite, with a variety of attractions from animals, to the walks, to the train and indoor and outdoor play areas. Food very good also, and reasonable prices. Would return again and recommend to others. Recommend going early in the day as we had the place to ourselves before it got busy in the early afternoon.

We had a fantastic time yesterday at Halloween Happenings! We were meant to attend the previous day but had to reschedule at short notice, and the guy on the phone who changed our booking was so helpful. My husband and two boys, 12 and 7, loved the Terror hunt, crazy golf, horror train ride and pet farm, which were all included in the price. From the witch who greeted us while we waited to check-in, to the juggler and crazy chain-saw clown, staff were fantastic! Queued for a while in the cafe but you expect that at a busy event. We even learned some Irish history as we made our way round. Definitely a great trip, and we will look forward to a return visit!

We had a lovely experience at Lullymore! The train ride was great and you could really see how much work and effort went into preparing everything. The attention to detail and creative ideas were impressive, and the actors were just brilliant! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and there’s plenty of space for kids to run around and enjoy themselves. The café is lovely too, and the scones were delicious. A really nice day out for families.

We had the best experience at the Halloween event in Lullymore, thanks so much. It's very hard to find an experience that isn't too young or too old for young teens. We all loved the train, the laughs and screams, it was lovely to have fun together as a family. Mini golf was a big hit and an easy wander around the beautiful park was lovely. A great experience for us all and reasonably priced too. Loved it. Thank you.

Premium store and very nice bags, cheaper than other retail stores

The last couple of times iv been in this store i was looked after by the same girl , she maybe a Manager ? I didn’t catch her name but she will know herself when i say i was looking for a t-shirt because i sprayed bleach on one that i had. Just want to mention she was very engaging and went out of her way to get some t-shirts for me to try , she had a lovely way with customers. … Thanks again.

Brilliant service there today from an Asian girl, sorry to describe her this way but didn't get her name. she informed me of offers that I was not aware of after talking to another staff member. She was on the door when I returned and recognised me straight away and let me in. Superb staff member 👏👌

Got a shirt went back to get a refund to be put back on my card was no they don't refund money back on your card the give you a gift voucher they take your money but will give it back to you

Very unfriendly staff. The Chinese girl treated us badly at the entrance, shouting to us. Promised to get inside the shop in less than 40min, waiting 1h15 min and didn't get in. I am so disappointed with the staff service. There were more people complaining at the time.

Lovely place to spend Sunday afternoon with friendly bunch whilst making the bets on favourite hounds and enjoying cheeky drinks.

Restaurant is disgraceful. Doubt this place has ever had a lick of paint. Carpet is threadbare and dirty. Food horrible. I was embarrassed having brought American guests for a night out. Shame on whoever is running this business.

Been here on a few sundays. It was free entry and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately didnt win! The dinners being served looked great although I did not have any.

Great night out. Was my first time here.Had a burger as had a late dinner and was quite good.. All staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to everyone. Will be back again soon..

Beautiful place! Even though the house is undergoing renovations so we couldn't visit it (and nobody advised us when we bought the tickets), the gardens are worth the whole visit. Amazing array of plants and flowers and trees, even a fairy garden for the delight of all the visitors ☺️ Super recommendable!

I recently visited Belvedere House Gardens & Park, and had a great time. First of all, staff at the entrance are helpful and attentive. They gave us a guidance map and made sure we do not miss anything. Belvedere itself is a combination of serene walking paths through the forest, and the historic charm. Ideal for relaxing and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Whether you're into photography, history, nature, or just looking for a tranquil escape, Belvedere is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

It's a lovely place with beautiful scenery and walks. My favorite was the fairy garden but it's all truly worth the visit. It'll transcend you back in time.

Beautiful setting, sprawling picnic spot, lake walk, children's play area, forest walk, beautiful walled garden, fairy garden, and old architecture. Good food and area to relax. Overall experience is excellent.

Very beautiful location. Nice little outing and feeling as if in a old english series. The ice cream is really good and the staff working in the cafe are friendly and kind with the kiddies. Only drawback was that they busy doing some maintenance at the moment however it is still a lovely outing lots of little things to do at a reasonable price.

it's not cheap. Even when the main attraction - the palace - is closed, the entrance ticket price is almost the same.

Just a unique and cool little place. The owner, Sean is a character. It seems like more of a bar than a restaurant but they provided some tasty sandwiches for our group. Just a lovely place to stop.

If you were looking for a blueprint for the perfect pub this would be it, it’s hard to imagine a better one. The prices, the atmosphere, the amazing interior and of course, the owner Sean. The whole place is a feast for the eyes. Is this the best pub in the world? It would be hard to argue against it.

There's only 2 types of pizza as a food choice, a food truck during the summer and plenty of snacks. It's got plenty of drinks, stories, and full of character! It's a Pub. Music on Tuesday nights. And lively place to sit and have a pint or two. The owner Sean is full of character and loads of stories to tell. He'll even show you how to pour a pint of Guinness.

Amazing pub, beautiful interior and massive outdoor seating area, charming. Staff were friendly and very helpful, atmosphere was top notch. A great pub to wander around and check out the decor on the walls too. They serve Toasties and pizza everyday but if you go on a Friday there's also an excellent burrito truck that pulls up. Both were delicious. 10/10 , make the trip

Our travel group stopped by to see this wonderful place. It's one of the few thatched roof pubs left in Ireland not too far from Dublin. The owner Sean actually was asked by Guinness to help train bartenders to pour the beer correctly. He does on the spot training and you might even get a certificate of a correct Guinness poor. He has lots of stories to tell and maybe one about a ghostly visit. They have an outside area to enjoy the good weather. They provide food and have connections for food trucks.

Special and family Pub with love atmosphere. The boss is old man very active. Good location. Amazing garden, wine, pizza and helpful staff. I recommend.

This is a gem of a bar, the owner older gentleman gave us tour, very nice and proud of his pub. Loved the place
