Very nice and quite beaches, where swimwear is optional. Nature meets nature, so not for people who fear others enjoying their freedom to experience this nature.

Beautiful, quiet beach in a nature reserve. We really enjoyed our time here. The beach is clean and peaceful, with fish, crabs, and even turtles. Access is time-restricted, and there’s no cell service, which makes it a perfect place to disconnect. Parking is available, and lifeguards are on duty. No restrooms or showers, but in summer there’s usually a portable toilet on-site. Definitely worth a visit for a change of scenery!

The beach itself is rather nice and fairly few people their. I wouldn't give the sand beach 5 stars however, but the cliffs to the right of the beach was amazing! By walking 5 minutes or so we found at least 3 great spots where we could lie down on fairly smooth surface as well as being able to jump or walk into the clear blue water. No other people in sight. Went there two days in a row and will definitely return when I'm in the area in the future! The only downside is that you need to park your car 10 minutes drive from the beach, pay 3€ per person and take a bus (which leaves every 30 minutes) to get to the beach. All in all: for couples who'd like some privacy - find great cliffs to the right of the beach. For families (or others) who'd like a beach with fewer people - just pick a spot on the main beach.

Excellent natural beach with easy access - depending on the time of the year, it can be accessed by a shuttle or by driving directly (in the off-season). The beach is well-maintained and there are bathroom facilities not too far away. The whole area is beautiful, with a backdrop of towering hills and sand dunes. There is also a protected natural environment nearby, which is awesome for nature lovers. Easily the best beach I've been to.

The trip was totally worth it! I went with a friend that is a local so we had the pass to get directly into the parking area. Virgin beach with golden sand and limpid water, it was a great day!

Beautiful and windy!

This is a wonderful attraction and the main reason we drove 1 hour to Cartegena. There is an informative exhibition you walk through giving historical information on Cartagena and the Romans. You eventually come out into the Theatre and have to say it looked amazing. This was big enough to seat 7000 people so can only imagine the atmosphere it would have had back in those times. The view from there would have been terrific as well. Two adults were €8 each and 2 students at €7 each. £22.72 for a family of 4 in total. It always amazes me how much cheaper it is to visit places in Europe compared to the United Kingdom. I'm guessing there may be heavier government funding contributing but museums like this are kept immaculate and everyone visiting is very respectful of their surroundings.

We sailed in on the Star Princess. Had a tour through Princess. Amazing museum and ancient ruins. We had the place to our tour group. A few folk were there before and after who were on their own. It is a very large place. When you go in to the museum make certain you look at the ancient founding double wall, built by the Phoenecians.

We visited while on a cruise excursion. We were in a small group, but 50 small groups ='s too many people in a very special place. It definitely a bucket list place to see though!

The Roman Theatre in Cartagena, an Incredible place with a rich history, is a true gem – remarkably well-preserved for its age, over 2,000 years old, it is impressive both in terms of atmosphere and scale. It's a must-see on the Cartagena map – perfect for history and architecture enthusiasts. Tickets aren't necessary just for spectacular photos; it's worth visiting in the evening when everything is beautifully illuminated. The view from the publicly accessible, upper section near Torres Park is excellent and for free.

Beautiful place! We planned to go inside, wouldn't mind paying but ended up from our carpark in the gardens on top of it and found out you can walk all around it with views of it all for free. So if you're not bothered for the museum inside, no need to pay to see the theatre. At the top there are gardens and more to see of a little castle. Whole Cartagena is worth the visit

Ancient amphitheatre and modern museum in Cartegena... a lovely place to spend a few hours taking in the sights and soaking up the history. The town itself has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants, some of which are tucked down little side streets. All of this is a short walk from the beautiful marina.

I just can't understand how places like this get buried or built on top of. I dont understand past rulers or crusades. So much history here and so well preserved. One certainly does not need to imagine much here to see how it actually was. It would be amazing to hear a concert here today.

A beautiful and interesting place. Apart from the huge sandstone formations, driving just a few kilometers further on, there is a mini-nudist beach, as well as a giant swing overlooking the sea.

Interesting rock formations next to a nice beach area and large car park. If staying in the area and looking for a relaxing afternoon, it's worth a trip here. There are a couple of restaurants too.

Beautiful and impressive sandsculptures. There is a QR code to take you to the detailed information about the sculptures in English, however its disappointing that you first have to sign up to the town's newsletter so we didn't bother. Also the enormous and EMPTY (in January) car park only allows a 4 hr stay so you can't park there overnight if visiting restaurants.

Free parking the water is so much more clearer than mazarrón beach and you have oasis bar which has great food and service

Great point of interest. Perfect viewpoint and stunning creation by nature. Reason for the 4/5 is the lack of protection and preserving of this landmark by the responsible authorities. Keep in mind that there is no protection (fencing/danger signs) on top of the location. Keep in mind that this location is created by erosion and that collapse of the edges on top is a potential danger.

Really fascinating place. Comparable to the Hoodoos in Drumheller, near Calgary in Canada. Well worth a visit. Great road trip down through the mountain pass.

Yes they are some unusual rock formations caused by weathering. A decent photo opportunity from the large open piece of car park in front of them, which is also suitable as a wild Camp motorhome stopover. The beach opposite is fantastic.

Excellent visit, staff exceptionally helpful and even contacted taxi company to retrieve our lost phone. They arranged for delivery to castle and got it back to us within a couple of hours. Amazing. Views from towers are awesome and evening dinner with music a wonderful experience. Unfortunately a couple of sights closed due to restoration but still well worth the visit.

Gorgeous place to visit, stroll through the garden and stop at the Cafe for a drink soaking up the views. To get into the towers it costs 10 euro per person or just walk through the grounds for free. Have to say we'll worth the 10 euros.

Beautiful place for a day out, but be prepared for the walking up hills. As you probably can see, it's perched on a mountain and the car park is 3 quarters up. You pay to go in yhe various towers, but the grounds are free to roam around. Great few hours with family and the club sandwich is highly recommended as well 👌

This castle had some great history and a good walking tour via a fre app. The castle itself is basically a walled area on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding areas. So views are fantastic. However, if you are expecting more buildings to wander around, you will be disappointed. There are a fee towers that have been reconstructed, but there is a cost to enter them. Entry to the grounds and cafe is free.

The drive up the hill is an adventure. When you are nearly at the top you can enter the free car park. A short but steep walk up to the castle. Entry is free and if you'd like to take the guided tours, it is €10 pp for the three on offer. A well preserved example of the last millennium of Islamic, Jewish and Catholic rule on this important frontier

Looks spectacular and enticing from the A-7 road but absolutely not worth the visit. The castle scores points for the overall appearance from a distance and the setting and views from it as it is situated on a hilltop with fine vistas of the surrounding countryside but once you get out of the car and pay the admission fee the experience is very disappointing. Virtually nothing worth seeing on site as the synagogue is an excavation site and not worth the 4 euro (there should be no admission price at all as what little there is can be seen in one minute), the Espolon tower has good views from the top but is very basic and when we visited the Alfonsina tower which is the most impressive structure on the site wasn't even open. We were really looking forward to visiting this castle and took a lengthy detour from Cartagena to get there and we wished we hadn't. Much better castles to spend your time and money on than this one.

Zenia Boulevard is a fantastic shopping experience! The mall has a great mix of shops for every taste, from fashion and homeware to electronics and gifts. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the outdoor design makes it a pleasure to stroll around. The food court is excellent too, with plenty of choices to suit everyone – from quick bites to sit-down meals. A perfect place to shop, eat, and enjoy a great day out!

Really big shopping center where you will probably find what you are looking for. You just have to be careful at the first time visiting to find the right exit. From Torrevieja bus station bus "L" goes in front of the door

Nice shopping area that have many brand stores and much else. A plus for the very nice toilets but a minus for the restaurants (a bit pricey for what you get). Of course this is friendly to wheelchairs. There are also playgrounds for kids, they seem to love the water fountain.

Amazing shopping center that got everything you need. Open roof so you really get an amazing experience walking around the shopping center. Big name Stores and restaurants so you will definitely find something to buy. Plenty of restaurants to choose from for both lunch and dinner. They even have a playground for the kids with enough seating close by for the adults to sit down but still have a good view on their kids. You can even rent battery-powered cars for the kids to drive around the shopping center with the option for the parents to control the car with a remote.

Call out to all UK shopping centers. Visit this place to see how a shopping centre should be run. It's spotlessly clean, shops are full and not boarded up, free parking and it's packed full of shoppers. It's a great place to shop for clothes or food. Plenty of cafes and ice cream parlours, places for kids to play. Open until late in the evening for convenience after work. I've not heard a bad thing said about Zenia Shopping Centre.

A large selection of clothes from the budget option to the expensive. A large selection of shoe stores. Many good cafes and restaurants. Having arrived here you can spend whole days :)

I personally didnt have a nice experience there. When we went there were a lot of seaweed washed up on shore and I could not enjoy the beach as much as I wanted. I might reconsider my opinion if I visit on another day, however it was a nightmare to step on the seaweed. It is a fine sandy beach, but it is overcrowded. I would not recommend it to people who dislike crowds. There are toilets and also foot washing devices.

Pros: Good beach - long and wide. Clean, sandy. There is a nice park neighbouring the beach. A lot of cafe and restaurants close to the beach. Cons: No showers at all (( Not enough toilets and dressing rooms. Comparably crowded even in the end of May! I can't imagine what will be in the high season (July).

We loved our visit to the Catedral de Murcia! ⛪️ The architecture is absolutely breathtaking, with its mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque details—you can spend ages just admiring the façade and intricate doors. The plaza in front is vibrant and welcoming, filled with cafés and terraces where we enjoyed a hearty brunch while soaking up the atmosphere. ☕🥐 It was such a nice stopover in Murcia—easy to wander, beautiful to photograph, and full of charm. The cathedral itself is impressive inside and out, and the surrounding square feels like the heartbeat of the city. 🌞 If you’re traveling through Murcia, don’t miss this gem—it perfectly combines history, culture, and a relaxed Spanish vibe. Beautiful cathedral with a fascinating mix of architectural styles visible from the outside. The details and decorations are absolutely breathtaking, and it really makes you appreciate these kinds of buildings that simply aren’t built anymore. Entrance is €5 for the cathedral alone or €7 if you want to visit both the cathedral and the museum. The downside is that in the museum almost all descriptions are only in Spanish, with just a few objects explained in English. For most of the exhibition you’ll need to rely on Google Translate.

The main attraction in Murcia is this magnificent cathedral. The facade has many saints and the structure has many architectural designs. Definitely a must visit.

Impressively pretty inside, with nice flow to go between the rooms and adequate description in brochure. Good entrance fee. Quite compact, you can visit it all in ~45 minutes.

The 19th century Real Casino de Murcia in Murcia, Spain, is a private social club where the local elite could meet. It's still used for that purpose but tourists are also admitted for a fee. Entry to the Moorish Patio is through an Islamic-style horseshoe arch. The design of the Moorish Patio itself was inspired by the Alhambra in nearby Granada. Leaves of pure gold were used by the decorators. The ballroom features gold-coated bronze chandeliers decorated with Baccarat crystal made in Paris in 1886.

We had a long weekend in Murcia. The Old Town in Murcia City is the most wonderful place with so much to see, including the Real Madrid Club, ( nothing to do with football). It is an eclectic collection of the most wonderful, opulent rooms, and is a MUST visit if in Murcia City

Wow 😯 absolutely stunning building with beautifully decorated rooms and decor. The Arab entrance alone has 20,000 individual gold leafs adorning the walls. The ballroom is stunning as well as the English influenced library and Billiard rooms. A must see attraction for only 5 euros ( 3 if you are a retiree)

Just steps from the Cathedral, on the famous Calle Trapería, you can admire the splendid Royal Casino of Murcia. Its extraordinary beauty and elegant interiors earned it the title of National Historic Monument in 1983. Built in 1847 as a luxurious entertainment venue for the city's wealthy elite, it continues to serve this purpose today as a private club with highly select members. After extensive renovations, the casino became "Royal" in 2009, at the behest of King Juan Carlos I. The casino is open to the public, who, with an admission ticket, can access some of the sumptuous interior rooms, immersing themselves in the glittering past of the city's wealthy elite. Aesthetically, the entire building features an unusual combination of different styles from various eras, making it a unique monument. The sumptuous facade, designed by architect Pedro Cerdán Martínez, features classical and modernist decorations, resulting in a highly eclectic result. The entrance to the casino is the most fascinating space, a true Arab patio inspired by the most refined Moorish palaces, such as the Alhambra in Granada and the Alcazar in Seville. Other rooms worth visiting are: the English Library, entirely made of wood; the luxurious Ladies' Hall, with a splendid painted ceiling and gilded oval mirrors; the Pompeian Patio, decorated with classical columns and statues; the Ballroom, built between 1870 and 1875 in neo-Baroque style and adorned with gigantic chandeliers. In addition to visiting the casino's rooms, you can also visit the restaurant and bar and attend exhibitions, displays, and cultural events. Ticket 5€ per person.

Beautifully kept, tranquil not at all busy, the peacocks were a lovely surprise with a very reasonably priced entrance fee

The hotel was chosen for its close proximity to the Teatro and the rooms set amidst a beautiful garden. We booked a Junior Suite which was a lovely stroll amongst the greenery. Extremely clean big bedroom with big bed, big tv and a big spa bath in the big bathroom. All staff were happy and helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. Plenty for 4 courses if you're that way inclined! We didn't use the restaurant as we ate out but the bar and bar staff were good too. Excellent (yes) 'big' pool area adorned with lovely twinkling lights for the evening.

What a beautiful botanic garden set in the middle of Elche. All the specimen plants and trees were very well labelled. Admission is about 5 euros with a slight discount for pensioners. The only negative is the availability of parking resulting in circling the narrow streets of Elche several times. There is a large underground parking about 300 mtrs away but there is a hotel with the same name much closer that would b much closer

Tranquil, picturesque place with lots of palms from around the world, quite a variety of cacti, peacocks walking around, water features. All creates an atmosphere of joy, peace and tranquility. We love feeding peacocks as there is a special food available to buy next to the exit.

This place is really special, unfortunately I only had 20 minutes here but could have spent hours strolling around. They have some amazing different palm trees, plants & all sorts of other species. There's also some cool peacocks around! It was around 6 euros to get in but truly worth it. If you like to take photos of those types of thing, you'd struggle to find somewhere better!

Great to see the history and explore the caves. You get a complimentary drink at the end of your visit too which is nice. We went Easter weekend and it wasn't busy. The whole town is gorgeous.

A amazing place worth visiting. Got a chance to meet the legendary El Diablo in person. The place is preserved well. There is also lot of photos and antique stuff inside the cave. You also get a free beverage inside. A must visit if you are in Alcalá del Júcar.

Quirky place to go and check out. One drink is included in the entrance price, we all enjoyed a red vermout. We also met El Diablo himself, so you always have that as a possibility.

What a great place to explore! Not my first visit but was for my girlfriend. Great collection of typical Spanish antiques, covering everything from cabinets full of matches, medical equipment, typewriters, farm tools and machinery (to name a few artifacts), my favorite being a mini tractor type ploughing machine with what looks like grannies armchair sat on top for the operator 😂😂. Great value at €3 per person which includes a drink at the far side of the caves, really nice little bar overlooking the river at the mountains that surround Alcalá de Júcar. You can explore further the caves by walking up a 7 stories stairway, so take a deep breath before you do! The cave walkways are fascinating and you discover little nooks along the way. Another benefit is how cool temperature wise in there, especially when it was 40+ outside, so a welcome relief. The owner who is a spitting image of Salvador Dali complete with pointy mustache, there are plenty of photos of him with famous people along the caves, and we managed to grab one with him when we left. Great experience highly recommend!

A must visit when in Alcala del Jucar. Amazing cave museum with a bar. Friendly owner and his dog opens the door that links one side to the other. Only €3.50 including a drink at the bar.

Fascinating and eary arid landscape with windmills of La Mancha. Very friendly people. Restaurants let you use their restrooms for free.

Lovely place, views amazing, shop friendly, one of the bars/souvenir shops up where the windmills are very welcoming, another not so, however, walked into town and went for a drink at Pl Mayor, 13, 13610. What a wonderful family, they cooked for us after kitchen closed, as they were cooking for family. Massive portions, well cooked and presented, made us feel very welcome.

Wonderful place to visit. Near is excellent michelin recommended restaurant. From this position you have best view on the city. And ofcourse you can enjoy in famous Don Quixote windmills. Visit is free, but some windmills are open where you can buy souvenirs or learn more about culture of the area and more about windmills.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Really enjoyed watching the mill work from the inside. The inside is only open on the first Sunday of every month so plan accordingly.

Beautiful location with the best views of the city! These famous windmills have been featured in Don Quixote’s match scene so if you’re a fan of the book, a visit is worth it! It’s free to visit plus some windmills are open sometimes so you can go in and view the inside as well which is fantastic. There are gift shops and restaurants here as well so if you want some original Don Quixote gifts or food, this is a reasonable place to purchase them.

Belmonte Castle, situated in the picturesque town of Belmonte, Cuenca, Spain, is a stunning example of medieval architecture, blending Gothic and Mudejar styles. It was built in the second half of the 15th century by Don Juan Pacheco, the first Marquis of Villena, it stands atop San Cristóbal hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The castle's unique star-shaped design, with six towers reaching 22 meters high, makes it a standout among European fortresses. The fortress was practically abandoned between the 17th and 18th centuries and was more or less ruinous by the early 19th century. The heiress of the house of Villena, Eugenia de Guzman, better known as the Empress Eugenia de Montijo and her architect Alejandro Sureda began a restoration project in 1857, keeping the exterior in the original style but updating the interior to modern tastes. Its rich history includes the abive periods of abandonment and restoration, notably by Empress Eugenia de Montijo in the 19th century. It later served as a prison for the Partido Judicial de Belmonte, and as an Onsimo Redondo academy for the Francoist 'Frente de Juventudes'. It was abandoned and began to deteriorate again, before being made a cultural monument in 1931. It is now owned by the descendants of the empress' sister Maria Francisca de Sales Portocarrero. It was restored again in summer 2010 and opened to the public. Today, it is a Bien de Interés Cultural, hosting guided tours and exhibitions that delve into its fascinating past. Visitors can explore its grand halls, admire the intricate Mudejar ceilings, and enjoy the panoramic views from its ramparts. Worth a visit! This castle is quite lovely with various rooms to visit. You can walk all along the castle walls which is quite unique and you can get amazing photos of the city. Buying tickets in advance or at the window is recommended. If you’re also in the area, go visit the windmills as it’s around a 10 minute drive so you could do both trips in one day!

Wonderful restored castle. It is a beautiful place to roam around with the information on the scan code in English or Spanish. It's very informative. My only issue was the extra 3€ for views the weapons etc at the exterior of the castle. Still it was worth the entrance fee of 8€

An awesome visit! The castle is really impressive and in an excellent status of conservation. This visit is a must do if you are in the area. Reserve at least one hour for the visit. As the castle is in the top of a hill, the views from the towers are awesome. It has also an interesting theme park dedicated a war machinery (trebuchets)

Worth seeing and lots of views of the country and small town. Amazing to see such an old castle/fortress in such good condition, and be able to take photos and your time when exploring the inside and surrounding area. There are 5 towers to climb up and overlook in all directions, and u will also see three old windmills that were talked about in Don Quioti's novel. This place is in the middle of no-where, and a few minutes after u leave and look back, u won't see anything again - a very well hidden place with all the hills around.

Magnificent views even on a “so-so” day weatherwise

Very impressive! A tad bouncy and you can certainly feel the bridge sway and jiggle when you walk over it which can be disconcerting and if you’re scared of heights then it’s a tad terrifying. But a cool experience. Definitely worth a trip to Cuenca.

Not for the faint of heart, vertigo sufferers or ones with fear of height. It looks harmless from the photos but the bridge's width is narrower and the height of the bridge is perched far higher than expected. Does not help that the bridge has very thin railings on both sides. That said it does have very breathtaking panoramic views of the town and countryside if you can keep your eyes open and stop your legs from shaking.

Lovely bridge. Was fun jumping on it. Just kidding. The middle part shakes a bit but the views are incredible.

The bridge is a wonderful way to enter the city. The other way is through a spiraling road in the bottom near the underground parking lot. It’s hard to truly capture the magnitude of the city if you don’t cross the bridge.

Simply beautiful and breathtaking

Wow wow wow, I have never been in a Cathedral that has given me so much joy. I love stained glass so this was an absolute revelation. the stained glass in this cathedral is nothing short of spectacular. the original plain glass windows were replaced by the most spectacular modernist stained glass that elevated this cathedral into something quite exceptional. They also had an exhibition go religious iconography that was simply breathtaking. this Cathedral is definitely a must visit if you are in the city

Amazing cathedral with many little side chapels all with a different history. You have to pay to get in but it's probably one of the most interesting cathedrals we've visited in Spain. Pay the extra 1.5 euros to climb the tower and get a balcony view into the cathedral and out into the square

The interior suprised me, the stained glass works of the cathedral were amazing and we could see many reflections inside! The ceilings are very cool pieces of artwork, and there are many details to see. Visited in October 2025, tickets were 5.50 euros for general public and 4.50 for carnet joven holders.

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. The entry is 5 euros, which I think is totally worth it, and you can also pay 2 euros more to go up to the inside balcony, where you get an amazing view of the main square. For the experience and the amount of beautiful pictures you can take, it feels like a fair price. You can truly spend many hours here because each room has so much personality and makes you feel like you’re walking through a masterpiece. They also have an outside patio where you can see the famous hanging houses of Cuenca, the bridge, and even the statue of the Virgin Mary in the distance. The only downside is that when I tried to pay the 2 extra euros for the balcony, they didn’t accept card, so make sure to bring some cash with you. Also, the shops around the cathedral usually don’t accept card unless you spend at least 5 euros, which was a bit annoying. Other than that, it was an amazing experience, and honestly, if you’re in Madrid, the trip to Cuenca is completely worth it just for this cathedral.

It offers a unique presence in the historic core sitting adjacent to the River Huecar side with rich views from its cloister gardens. The visit has good digital guide resources and offers a series of combined tickets. With time a full ticket is recommendable and gives access during two days to the main cathedral, going up through the facade triforio, entry to the cathedral museum, and nearby St. Thomas church and tower, which are also notable.

A fabulous Royal Palace with gardens that deserves your visit. The famous gardens here were the inspiration for the musical piece "Concierto de Aranjuez". This was one of the favorite musical pieces of my father which inspired me to visit. When we attend they were doing a lot of construction and renovation which detracted from the experience. It was still well worth visiting. We said to ourselves we would love to come back when they're done with the renovation work. We were not able to visit the fabulous garden with the fountain because of this renovation work. The other gardens were open with several working fountains and some fountains that were not flowing.

One of the must-see places in Aranjuez. This place is so beautiful and so detailed. I forgot to take photos of some spots because they were so beautiful 🤦🏻‍♀️ As the the UNESCO World Heritage site and a former spring residence of the Spanish royal family. Located in the town of Aranjuez, the estate includes the palace, extensive gardens, and other buildings like the Casa del Labrador.

At just 60 minutes from the Madrid center via Cercanias C3 train. Very well preserved and restored, it was the royal palace for the spanish throne until Elizabeth II after which the seat was moved to Madrid. From the outside it may seem unassuming architecture but the interior has the grandeur you can find in the Royal Palace in Madrid. The main stairs are a late addition which serves as a great intro with an interesting story. The 'Gabinete Árabe' smoking room, my favorite part of the visit because you don't expect a room like that in the seat of catholic kings and queens, is a breathtaking representation of arabic interior design, replicating part of the Alhambra of Granada. I strongly recommend taking the guided tour. It lasts about 75 minutes, our guide was very knowledgeable and eloquent. The tour gives you private access to some of the best crafted rooms with outstanding ornaments and intimate details of the consort spaces. Just one photo of the exterior to avoid spoilers 😁

The Royal Palace of Aranjuez is a stunning royal residence about 1 hr. from Madrid, historical architecture and its vast,beautiful gardens along the Tagus River. Inside, highlights include the Porcelain Room and Arab Room, filled with intricate decoration and history. Less crowded than Madrid’s main palace, peaceful and scenic experience — perfect for a day trip.

This is a great little getaway that is only an hour by train from Madrid. It is absolutely lovely to wander the gardens around the palace. Inside the palace are lovely rooms that the Royal family that used to stay and live in. The tickets were very inexpensive and this trip is great for half a day. We got some drinks afterwards at the restaurant nearby. If you’re looking for a half day trip from Madrid, this is it!

Such a fun park!! Great for a day of playing around, the lines aren’t that big and there’s some rides that are so crazy immersive that you leave fully wondering what was happening! We went in the end of September and already got a lot of cool Halloween experiences and decor! My main complaints: - there’s is basically no vegetarian food options inside of the park (im not even gonna mention vegan) Being that you cannot enter with food this is extremely unfortunate. Had to eat a pizza margarita after 30 minutes of searching for food; - the Halloween experiences were extra charge and it wasn’t that cheap! You pay 44€ for the general admission and then you have to pay an extra 7€ per ride (single). I felt like it wasn’t fair - there’s more stores and restaurants than rides. The rides are some of the best I’ve ever been on and so much fun, but you have to walk a lot to get to them as you always have to go through stores and restaurants - more than once was a ride in maintenance while we were there. Eventually we managed to get on all of them but it was annoying to keep having to go back in line

Visited during the Halloween season and overall had a great time. The park is clean, well themed, and offers a solid mix of rides for both thrill seekers and families. The Gold Fast Pass is absolutely worth buying as it saves hours of waiting and makes the experience far smoother. Food quality was better than expected for a theme park, and the PhotoPass system is a nice way to keep all ride photos digitally. On the downside, most staff speak very limited English and signage can be confusing. The Gold Pass does not work for the horror mazes and we waited about an hour and a half to enter the IT Experience, which lasted around five minutes. Some vending machines also stopped working later in the evening, which was frustrating after a long day of walking. Still, the Halloween theming and atmosphere were great, and with the Gold Pass, the park is worth visiting.

Enjoyed the day, arrived at 1130am checked in and on rides by 12.07pm. Bit more information pre q on how to exchange all inclusive tickets would be helpful. All inclusive wasn't worth it in my opinion, freestyle drinks be a better option. Fast pass was great, and well organised. Recommended as a theme park to visit

Parque Warner Madrid exceeded my expectations and delivered a full day of fun, excitement, and surprisingly great theming. From the moment you walk through the gates, the atmosphere pulls you into the world of DC Comics, Looney Tunes, and classic Hollywood — it’s immersive, colorful, and well-designed. The rides were fantastic! Superman: La Atracción de Acero is a must for any roller coaster lover — smooth, intense, and thrilling. Batman: Arkham Asylum was another highlight with the VR option, and the Stunt Fall ride definitely isn’t for the faint of heart! But it’s not just thrill rides — there are also plenty of attractions for families and younger visitors, especially in the Cartoon Village, which is adorable and really well done. The park is also clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the shows, especially the Loca Academia de Policía stunt show — it had us cheering the whole time. Food inside the park is what you’d expect from a theme park — a bit pricey — but there were decent options, and everything we tried was fresh. I also appreciated the shaded areas and mist zones during the hot parts of the day. Overall, Parque Warner is one of the best theme parks I’ve visited in Europe. Whether you’re traveling with kids, friends, or as a couple, there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend getting the fast pass if you're going on a busy weekend — it makes a huge difference. 5 stars without a doubt!

The park is well organised and a lot of possible activities can be done there. The day we visit was a rainy day and the park kept apoi only one gate, letting the people in the rain waiting to enter for more than 15 minutes.

Parque Warner Madrid is an amazing place to spend the day—we had a great time enjoying the rides, shows, and overall atmosphere. The park is fun, vibrant, and full of things to do for all ages. We genuinely enjoyed our visit and would happily go back. The only issue we found is that some staff members don’t speak English, which is a bit surprising for a park that attracts so many international visitors. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it did make certain moments a little harder than expected. Overall, it’s a fantastic park with plenty to enjoy, and with just a bit more attention to language support, it would be even better.

Although the museum is not that big, it’s nice to see the birth place of the most famous Spanish writer, Miguel de Cervantes. It’s also very interesting to see what the place used to look like from the exhibits. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth visiting.

In center of Alcalá you can find the Cervantes Birthplace house and museum. The entrance is free and you can learn and see how was the lifestyle at that time. Very interesting and a mandatory visit in Alcalá.

It was a remarkable visit. We were almost alone and we could enjoy the place better. We could feel the same vibes of people who use to attend that place. Audio guides were thorough and detailed and gave us a wide panoramic of the "Corrida". There is also a museum about the toreros and their typical costumes. We visited it in August and it was burning hot, so we suggest visiting in spring or autumn. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to really feel like a Spanish for a day.

Really cool place to visit. Whether you agree or not with the sport it is still interesting to understand the history and terminology relating to it all. I found it very fascinating, happy to report no animals were harmed during my visit.

Las Ventas is an impressive and historic landmark — the architecture alone makes it worth a visit. The guided tour gives great insight into the cultural and historical significance of bullfighting in Spain, and the museum inside is very informative. Even if you’re not a fan of bullfighting, it’s fascinating to learn about the traditions and see the arena up close. The audio guide was helpful and well organized. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because some areas could use a bit more shade and seating, especially during summer heat, but overall it’s a great experience and definitely worth seeing while in Madrid.

Did not attend a bullfight, so I can't speak to that. I don't agree with the practice. I purchased tickets online to enter as soon as it opened, so we walked right in and received our audio guide devices. The tour starts on the second floor, which I wasn't totally impressed with. Most of the interior has been updated and doesn't have the historical awe factor the exterior has. I enjoyed the rest of the tour, the audio guide and the room with videos playing. The videos did show bulls and matadors getting injured which as disturbing as it was, there was an element of fascination seeing footage of a sport I've never witnessed before. I also really liked the museum at the end of the tour. There was an elevator and ramps, making it wheelchair accessible.

Came here on a trip from Canada and it was an incredible experience. Just watch out though if you book a seat up high there is not very much room for each person, you are really packed in with eachother. Other than that though, it was really cool to see the bullfighting as it has been traditionally done for hundreds of years. The people next to us were super friendly and explained how it all worked for us, so we got some insider knowledge. Definitely worth visiting, just book some lower more expensive seats if you value your personal space. Also great very large beers they serve.

We went there on October 20 something, the bull fight season is over so the ring was just like a museum to walk around and see what’s inside. I would say they have a lot more potential to make it great because of the arena itself is really beautiful and rich in Spanish culture. But it has nothing besides the lousy audio guide which changed the languages on its own half way through, some part of the arena to see, some videos to watch on a small TV and some Matador clothes collections. The fighting field was closed on the day i was there because they were preparing it for some winter concert (as they informed) so i didn’t get to go down but still they charged the full price. I don’t think it’s worth 16€ at all. Too expensive with so little to see. If you have time and budget to spare, surely it is interesting, if not. You can walk around outside for free and you won’t miss much.

Impressive and historic venue with beautiful architecture. Las Ventas is a major cultural landmark in Madrid and a popular tourist spot. Tickets can be bought online with seat selection, and prices vary based on how close you are to the ring and whether the seats are in the shade. In summer, some events are held in the evening; seats in the sun are usually cheaper. Please note: bullfighting is a traditional cultural event, but it can be very graphic and intense up close. I wouldn’t recommend attending with children or anyone sensitive to this kind of spectacle. The event is divided into several bouts (matches), and as a matter of respect, you cannot leave your seat during a bout. Doors open between bouts if you need to use the toilets or buy snacks.

Magnificent! Griffon Vultures, Blue Rock Thrush, Firecrest, Rock Sparrow, Crag Martin. Walk around lower canyon also fabulous. Great views of Egyptian Vulture. Visitor Centre very helpful.

A very nice Canyon with some small hiking, you need to pay $4 euros to get in and another one Euro for visiting the church. If there are some restaurants or Cafe inside it will be better.

A stunning national park nestled in a valley. Home to soaring condors, dramatic cliffs, unique rock formations, and a fascinating cave, it’s really pretty. In the middle is a beautiful church. Tons of great hiking opportunities and breathtaking views -- definitely worth a stop!

A really nice walk along this beautiful gorge/valley with rugged out crops lined by pine forest. We were totally alone and enjoyed the easy flat walking along the trail that hugs the river with a liberal sprinkling of dragonflies. Our start point was the motorhome aire at Hontoria del Pinar which we also highly recommended. We will be back!

We were really looking forward to visiting this winery, but unfortunately, it turned into a disappointing and frustrating experience. From the moment we arrived, things were off. Despite the restaurant being visibly empty (only one table was full), we were told there were no available tables for dining. It was raining, and yet they insisted we sit outside on the terrace just to have a drink. We weren’t allowed to order any proper food—only tapas were available—which we were thankful for, but the whole situation felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Throughout our time there, the service remained cold and impersonal. No one explained anything about the wines, the food, or the winery itself. We felt completely ignored and unwelcome. It’s honestly the worst service we’ve experienced at a winery or restaurant. We left feeling disrespected and very disappointed. With so many beautiful wineries that value their guests, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a more genuine and hospitable experience.

Did you know there’s an amazing restaurant in here? The castellano menu is my favorite. But we have tried the other one too during our last visit! Besides being one of the best wine manufacturers in the region (and yet not as popular as other bigger more comercial brands) this winery is a must stop if you are interested in getting to know more and learn about Ribera Del Duero wine region. And then there’s the restaurant… I mean, obviously anything you eat that’s accompanied by their excellent wine is going to taste twice as good. But the real thing is that the quality of the food, the selection of their raw materials, their service and knowledgeable staff makes this restaurant a top option when you are in the area. Their menus come with a generous amount of dishes for the value you pay and the quality you get. And there’s always some good discounts at their wine store downstairs after a good meal.

Chose this specially as they advertise their gastro bar, and everywhere you look it says open all day. Imagine my surprise when the gastro bar was closed, and the restaurant only available if you made a reservation. Nowhere on their website or publicity does it mention this. Staff were utterly disinterested. AVOID.

A modern, elegant and masterly designed (by no other than Norman Foster) winery with quite good wine, food and staff. From the moment one arrives, parks the car (in the shade), walks to the entrance of this magnificent building, one feels each corner has an ultimate purpose. Produce and show wine. I would recommend to try (possibly buy) the prima and summa wines. Depends on how much you want to spend. On the food menu, the carrillera was excellent.

Dear Family Martinez Zabala By vineyards I hope this comment will help other travelers that come from far away and plan to visit this particular winery Bodega Portia. We travelled from CR and made reservations days before our arrival. And email was sent requiring a change in time since we had a group of 12 and have a tight schedule. That email was never responded. Kept calling to anounce our arrival. We certainly were late at our arrival and as I read later in reviews, it doesn't matter if you are 2 minutes late or 1 hour late. Bodegas Portia has a non flexible policy on time arrival. A very rude woman in front desk simply told us the other people in the tour , have already started the tour. We kindly ask if we could join that "group" and only received a plain and very rude NO since they already started. Soon enough we discovered that all of it was a lie since we found 12 cups on a tasting table untouched, assuming there was no other group joining ours. This woman lied plainly to our face. Resuming all we lost our money, and to compensate from Bodegas Portia we got a 7 minute "tour" from a window to see the cellar and a minimum cup of wine on an empty restaurant. Ill share the pictures of how they "compensated" I think Bodegas Portia and staff have no idea or training in how to treat people on tour companies that come from abroad. No courtesy to far away travelers. If you are reading this, I can suggest other wonderful wineries like MATAROMERA that puts a heart into the experience, Marquez de Riscal, Heras de Cordon. I will never recommend Bodegas Portia to anyone. Bodegas Portia lacks of warmth, heart or passion.

I didn't even knew about the monastery and the gregorian chants of the monks. Learned that by chance. Still a nice experience withnessing that on my way to Sad Hill Cemetery.

A long way from anywhere, this great Benedictine pile towers over the village around it. The Gregorian chant is past its Grammy-winning glory days, but evening Vespers still attracts a good crowd in summertime. A highlight of the cloister visit is the renaissance-era pharmacy, complete with a huge copper still, stone mortar and pestle, and dozens of jars, vials, and pots for herbs and potions...straight out of Harry Potter!

Don't miss the hymns of the monks at 8pm in the summer and 7pm in the winter. Amen!😍👍🙏

It opens at 16:00 in the afternoon in summer, but it takes 40 minutes to wait for a professional tour guide to lead the tour. There is no English in Spanish🥶🤪

Road-trip: La Rioja, Monasterio de San Millán de Yuso - this unesco world heritage site is located in a quiet part of La Rioja, passing lovely scenery when driving from the northern part of the region. Known as the origin of Spanish (castellano) literature, this monastery is a massive structure that you can tour; advanced reservations are recommended. Can also combine with a visit the the fellow monastery located uphill, Suso. Note: limited availability and restricted access to Suso, plan in advance and try to coordinate visits to the two monasteries.

The guide was in Spanish but we knew that so that was fine. However, the tour took way too long so we decided to do it at our own pace, then after finishing the guy didn't let us out since our group wasn't yet done ... Who cares if we leave a bit earlier than our group.

Well worth a visit. Lovely setting and beautiful architecture. Yuso you access by car, Suso (the older one) is a 20 minute walk from Yuso (not accessible by car).

We stayed at Hotel Marques de Riscal on 5/29/25 for 1 night when we explored Rioja. This hotel is definitely the highlight of the trip. As a platinum elite member, I was upgraded to a wonderful suite 330, with the terrace next to the vineyard and the spa. The location and the beauty of this hotel is amazing. Laguardia, Logrono and Haro are within 20-30 minute drive from Elciego so this hotel is a perfect base. The complementary breakfast and the winery tour are wonderful. Yahia is very friendly and helpful with our luggage. The front desk staff is amazing as well. We also enjoyed the dinner service at the restaurant. The hotel grounds reminded us of a mini Guggenheim at Bilbao, but with incredible views of the surrounding vineyards and village of Elciego in the background. The spa is clean, serene with sauna, steam bath, pool and lounge chairs overlooking the vineyard. Overall, this hotel hits it out of the park. Highly recommended.

The hotel was designed by the same architect as the Guggenheim in Bilbao — modern and comfy. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge. The big downside for me was the food. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. During dinner, the service was extremely slow, and the chocolate cake was very dry. Breakfast was no better — there were similar delays, and when the bagels and poached egg finally arrived, they were cold. Definitely not the Marriott Bombay experience you’d expect in this price range. On a brighter note, the spa is a true highlight. Treatments are carried out using Caudalie products, which added a touch of luxury to the experience.

The Hotel Marqués de Riscal is truly one of a kind. The architecture is stunning, but what really made this stay exceptional was the professionalism and warmth of the staff. Every interaction—from check-in to check-out—was handled with genuine care. Room service was flawless. Breakfast was a standout, especially thanks to Marta and Luz who delivered top-tier service every morning. At reception, Carlota deserves special recognition—professional, attentive, and clearly committed to making sure guests feel looked after. The spa was another highlight. I had the 80-minute facial and can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had—absolute must if you’re staying here. Dining options on site were fantastic, and the wine tour was a real treat. Learning the deep history behind the Marqués de Riscal label gave me a new appreciation for the wines I’ve enjoyed for years. We also took a quick 25-minute drive to Logroño—well worth it. Ate at Bartolo there—outstanding meal. Bottom line: this wasn’t just a hotel stay. It was an experience. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We had the Gehry menu with wine pairings at the restaurant as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations. The menu was lovely, but the highlight for both my wife and I was the pea soup with marrow which was beyond delicious. Honourable mention goes to the petite fours because it was presented so beautifully. The service, including the sommelier, was excelente, attentive and unobtrusive.

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with a true 5 star experience look no further. My husband and I came here as part of our honeymoon in Spain and for me this hotel was up there right next to the Four Seasons in Madrid. Every person we interacted with - from the front desk/concierge, to the waiters in the wine bar, to the fabulous spa staff was beyond kind and really helped make our stay exceptional. The team contacted us prior to our stay to help us with any reservations and requests and that impeccable service carried throughout our visit. Some highlights for us were the scrub/massage treatments at the spa - Crina and Darlyn were fantastic! And Diego at the wine bar was very hospitable and so much fun to chat with. I also cannot say enough good things about the front desk/concierge, they made sure all of our requests were met! Yes, the hotel and the surrounding area are undoubtedly stunning but it’s really the people and team at this hotel that pushed the experience over the top for us! Hope to be back!

A very interesting and educational museum for all ages. One can learn a lot about the history of human civilization. Some exhibits are digital and interactive, which makes the experience even more engaging. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must visit if you are in Burgos!

Incredible, elegant and creative display that synthesizes a ton of wild material. English translations of about 90% of the exhibits. Highlight is definitely the French-made models of hominids. Many of the items on display are replicas, but the replica quality is high.

I think at least a full morning or afternoon is needed as there is so much incredible information and displays to take in.

To find this incredible museum in a fairly small city was a revelation. The displays were informative and inspirational, you must visit Burgos to see this museum and all the other wonderful places within its vicinity!

Well well well worth a visit if you’re passing through Burgos. Excellently laid out and incredible amounts of exhibitions displaying evolution of mankind with plenty of discoveries from nearby Atapuerca. €4 with credencial. Kudos to the museum!

The Burgos Cathedral is located in the historical centre of the Spanish city of the same name. Construction on the Cathedral began in 1221 and was completed in 1567. It is a comprehensive example of the evolution of Gothic style, with the entire history of Gothic art exhibited in its superb architecture and unique collection of art, including paintings, choir stalls, reredos, tombs, and stained-glass windows. Burgos Cathedral has the distinction of being the only Cathedral in Spain to be designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site independently from the historic center of the city it is located in. The visit of the Cathedral lasts 1 hour approx. It is very large, with many small chapels. It is worth visiting slowly. Entry fee at time of writing / visiting : from 10 Euros Free Entry: Entry to the cathedral is free on Tuesday afternoons between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the summer (and 4:30 pm to 6 pm in the winter). One of the richest cathedrals I’ve ever seen! The intricate art and sculptures inside are simply amazing. There is a free audio guide that you can access via your phone. It is hard to listen though while also taking in the beauty of each chapel and artwork at the same time. 😅 This is a must-visit in Burgos!

Espectacular cathedral with a fast and efficient check out service tickets. No matter your believes it’s a must visit. The details of all of the walls and structure is impressive. You would like to spend like at least an hour and a half to enjoy all the places inside.

This may be one of the most beautiful churches I have visited. St Peters in Rome may be grander but the Burgos Cathedral has so many beautiful chapels inside it, each distinct. Some of the chapels are humongous, bigger than small churches. Burgos Cathedral is awesome, a must see!

Huge building. We were to late to visit,as we arrived only in the evening. Impressive building and probably worth to visit also inside. Tickets can be purchased during the day at the entrance. The large squares around the Cathedral are pleasant for a drink or to stroll around with an ice cream.

A wonderful experience. Well kept for all to enjoy. Pay for entrance when you arrive. There will be busy days/times. We visited fairly early after opening.

Enjoyable tour. Lots of emphasis on the oak and barrel production which was interesting and made it different to other tour/tastings I've been on. The winery interior and tasting room is very nice and has a luxurious feel. Wines are quite dense with lots of French oak in their production. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but quite direct at times.

A fabulous and proper introduction to Rioja wines was given by Carmen at the wine tasting. She was absolutely fantastic: her knowledge, charm and vitality was evident throughout. The tour itself was very thorough. At the end, we tasted one white and 2 different reds which were absolutely delicious! At the end, they gave us the wine glasses as souvenirs. I would highly recommend the tour here and if you’re lucky enough- ask for Carmen! An experience not to be missed!

This is one magnificent place to visit . It’s well worth doing the tours . Very interesting place . Beautiful part of the world. Best of all the wines are fantastic.

Such a perfect wine tour! 10am English speaking slot (02/05/25). Really cool seeing the full winery process for the first time, at such an esteemed winery. The tasting was in a beautiful, light space and was great to chat to the other guests on the tour too. Cherry on top was we got to keep the glass we did our tastings in. Thank you!

Outstanding wines in a lovely setting, the food was good and a great atmosphere

Dear Muga Family We have just spent a wonderful lunch time tasting wines and eating food at your courtyard restaurant. We even met one of the Muga family. See attached photos. What a fantastic place to visit! We have visited quite a few vineyards in France and England but never a Bodega in Spain. We were very lucky to choose Bodegas Muga. The tour was really interesting, as Muga is the only one to make it's own barrels. Seeing how the barrels are made was an added bonus, also the selection of Oak trees and the buying process was very interesting. Sasha, our guide was incredible. She knew so much about the wine making process, the cooperage and the wines. Good luck in your WAST exams!! Manuela, in the shop was also very helpful. I am now looking forward to the many bottles of wine I have in Bertha, our motorhome!!! We will definitely be back. If you only have time for one visit then choose Muga!!!

Truely terrific place. A combination of a chruch and city walls on an uneven ground. This lead to constructual problems that have been bugged the building for ages. And then in the sixthees a desasterous decision to remove internal buttresses. in english a very good guide through the building, from underground to the tower with views over the country side. You have to make a reservation through Internet or in person. In the end they show the true colours of the building, from now to the 16th century Closed between 1400 and 16.30m Worth the trip

We had a tour in Spanish, but with audioguide in English. We never had such a great, complete experience from enormous foundations to the roof, and everything in between. The restoration is well done. Tour guide was friendly and helpful. The Cathedral is not so over-decorated as many others in Spain, but very interesting non the less. Highly recommend tour!

The building was closed for renovation when we visited. Beautiful architecture in a very friendly town.

As the Cathedral is still in a period of extended restoration you have to visit with a guided tour, so the entrance fee will set you back around ten euros, unless you qualify for a concession. However the tour is detailed and exhaustive, including a trip down through its crumbling foundation pillars, then into its spectacular romanesque interior before going up to the Tower. The journey there, along a narrow ledge that overlooks the cathedral interior, before acsending up a spiral staircase, is almost as exciting as the views it offers of the surrounding city.

It is certainly not the prettiest or the mos architecturally inspiring cathedral in Spain. However, it has an interesting story of trying to withstand the original construction errors. Fortunately, the cathedral has been saved from an imminent collapse after the last restoration. The guided visit is super interesting, as it takes you to places that are usually not accessible to the public, including the foundations.

A must visit in Vitoria-Gasteiz! Guided tours are very good...best option is: Cathedrale Tour + Tower! View from there above the city is awesome! They have guided tours in English...but also audioguides in different languages! This is a sure must visit if you are in town. Check out the tours on their official site! Never had a guided tour like this...for that price...anyway in this world! The Tour ends with projection show of how the coloring of the church was ages ago...never saw something like this before...even in Rome or somewhere else! So much love and affection to history combined with modern technology!

The work done of restoration of this Cathedral is amazing. It seems that construction was not very well done, and during the time the attempts to repair it were not very successfully also. From a few year now, was done a huge work to understand was was wrong and what exactly had to be done to save the building.

Another beautiful nook in central Spain. Worth a few euros to explore the cave. Grab a beer at one of the pubs and relax!

Really beautiful, well worth going out of your way to visit

A village built on the falls. amazing beauty. We didn't go all the way up the stairs, but the whole waterfall and pool area is excellent. There is plenty of parking. It is forbidden to enter the pools

So beautiful, definitely worth the detour to get here. Village was super quaint with a couple of restaurants. The water fall and pools were gorgeous! Stayed for maybe an hour.

Incredible natural beauty. Large rock formations form a pair of camels kissing and the map of Africa between the. There is also a natural pristine waterfall.

Very picturesque beautiful town. Worth the detour to visit. We came in January and it was very quiet.
