Hot Springs & Geysers
Phra Ruang Hot Springs is a serene and affordable hot spring located in a remote area. The main hot spring has a temperature of about 65°C, and its water is pumped to bath houses around the facility. Visitors can enjoy soaking their feet in the free feet soaking pools or opt for a 30-minute session at the bath house for just THB 30. The tranquil atmosphere allows for relaxation, with the option to rent private pools with hot mineral water for a rejuvenating experience.
A hot spring water today around 60 degree is still too hot formy feet. You can also soak your body in a privateroom for your body. Parking are available in their parking area.
Dach S — Google review
This is a very tranquil place. Free entry to wander around the grounds and soak your feet in hot water springs, if you wish! The water is around 60 degrees Celsius so quite hot enough. There are not many amenities but the toilets are clean. There is a possibility to have a hot bath or even stay on site in a cabin.
Richard B — Google review
Just pass by. These guys don't care about anyone. Look around, and you'll understand everything. They don't care about the cleanliness around and don't care about the guests. We rented a private bath, some more people were immediately brought into it, despite the fact that my things were already lying there. Everyone around was laughing and smiling, well, that's how it happened, show me your tickets. In general, it was necessary to immediately pay attention to the condition of the whole complex and the basic cleanliness in the bathrooms and run, maybe the socks would have remained on me. And so... you can watch, try to swim, maybe you'll like it, but take it into account, they haven't been cleaned there since the 90s As a bonus, I attach a photo with the remains of garbage burning. What is prohibited by the law of Thailand

Excellent place and location. Great service. Great prices. Friendly staffs. Phra Ruang Hot Springs , also known as "Bueng Sap", is located in Kamphaeng Phet Province and is a famous health tourism destination. Legend has it that this hot springIt was caused by the King wanting to boil chicken that followed the chicken fighting. Therefore, he cursed the water in the lake to be hot. And when you need cold water to wash the chicken So he cursed another pond to be cold.. Phra Ruang Hot Spring is a natural hot spring with 5 points of water springing up from underground. The temperature is approximately 58 degrees Celsius. This hot spring is considered sacred water and is used in important national ceremonies.
Mrs.Vorawan V — Google review
It is very well maintained. The entrance fee is 30 Bt. The foot bath is free. A private room is a bargain at 50 Bt per hour. A rental towel is 10 Bt. The bath🛁 was spacious and comfortable😊 There is also a fan in the room, so it is comfortable😊🙆‍♀️ The hot spring was colorless and transparent without any sulfur smell. The staff were also very kind.
Mitsu K — Google review
the place is beautiful and well maintained. BUT: 1. the stereo is tuned on radio , loud, with commercials, so it's not really peaceful but annoying 2. there are separate bungalows with artificial baths. it's not possible to deep outdoor expect to deep the feet only. such a waste of hot springs!!!
Hagai P — Google review
A real hot spring in the middle of no where. CHEAP but out of the way. The temperature of main hot spring is about 65C. The hot water is pumped to bath houses around the facility. They allow you to drink water from the main spring. You can soak your feet in feet soaking pools for free. The bath house only cost THB 30 for 30 minutes. Really good service with very nice people. If you are in the area - highly recommended.

A majestic and spiritually rich temple dating back to the 14th century, Wat Yai is one of the most revered Buddhist sites in Thailand. The centerpiece is Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, a stunning golden Buddha statue considered one of the most beautiful in the country. The main hall is adorned with intricate gold-and-red patterns, crystal chandeliers, and detailed murals — a breathtaking sight that reflects both artistry and devotion. Wat Khiriwong offers a stunning panoramic view of the city, serving as a substitute for Nakhon Sawan Tower during its maintenance closure. Though the entrance is surrounded by menacing wild dogs and a graveyard, visitors can still drive up to this temple from below and park at the front. The large temple boasts numerous attractions and opportunities for merit-making activities while providing breathtaking views of Nakornsawarn province.
Good parking. No entrance fee. Situated adjacent to the observation tower, both are a must see. They are up a steep hill. You will need motorised transport to access them. The temple has good views and is a pleasant and quiet place.
Maximus G — Google review
Beautiful temple on top of the hill that you can observe the entire Nakhon Sawan (นครสวรรค์) city from the top of the temple. This temple is the main landmark of Nakhon Sawan that can be seen from almost everywhere in the city, and this is probably the main or one of the really sacred temples of the city, too, as this temple located on top of the hill from the beliefs to be closer to heaven. The temple is also decorated in golden color and contains multiple important artifacts like the some remain of Buddha and his disciples alongside multiple paintings depicting Buddhism related story. If you have a chance to visit Nakhon Sawan, this temple is a must visit for any Buddhist or those who seek to learn Thai cultures and history.

Sam Chuk Market

Shopping
Sam Chuk Market, a traditional market over 100 years old, offers a variety of familiar street-food dishes and is known for attracting Thai TV stars and celebrities. The market features old-style eateries and small alleys where visitors can purchase items ranging from straw hats to children's toys to asparagus. Once likened to the foundation of Chinese-Thai community culture, the market was originally a wooden shop house along the Tha Chin River and served as an important trading area.
Nice traditional market, a lot of foods to eat. I tried the yum bok noodles from one of the shop, so fresh and tasty meal. Only 30km from Suphan Buri town. Take bus 487 from Suphan Buri Bus Terminal at THB40. The bus will stop at the main road near the market.

Sam Chuk Market in Suphan Buri Province has been a beloved traditional market for over a century, known for its vibrant atmosphere and street food. My wife and I visited about ten years ago, experiencing the energy, aromas of freshly cooked dishes, and local delicacies. The market reflects the region's cultural heritage with its wooden architecture and friendly locals sharing stories. Our visit evoked nostalgia and appreciation for the traditions preserved in this lively area of Thailand, leaving lasting memories of its rich cultural tapestry.

Amazing historical market! The variety of goods and food for sale was amazing!
Jamie R — Google review
Cute little market with a mix of food and toys. Most of the area is covered, but there are some parts where you're exposed to the sun. It's not particularly big, so you can easily explore the whole market in an hour or two. Several parking lots surround the market, and motorbike trailers will take you to the entrance for 5 Baht, although it's only a short walk. There isn't a wide variety of products, but the place was bustling on the Saturday afternoon we visited. The atmosphere is great, with some charming paintings on the walls around the market, and the people at the shops we visited were lovely. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through.
Ivo N — Google review
The Local market was showing theirs life and culture a lot there. Most of the products quite similar in each outlet, including the dessert and snacks both. You may found the shop same as the next two shop. Which a little bit offers in different prices. However it was good fun to join and watched there. The food inside the market not much for us to select, there for we found some restaurants operate there compared with the price paid with local environmental and food inside the bowl. It was totally surprising. Moreover, not much choice for us to find a food kind of sit and eat.
Kwanchai Y — Google review
Classic old market over 100 years old. Not very busy on weekday. Old Cafe in the corner has been opened for more than a hundred year. Owner is friendly and informative. Lovely market to visit in Supanburee. Recommend to visit an old house which is turned into a museum.
Selvi S — Google review
Better than most other market I’ve been to. Fairly cool to walk around. It’s not as hot and humid as some others. Lots of covered area. They have hot food, drink, cold food, snack, dry food, fresh food, bric and brac, clothing, jewellery, shoes, hats, and more. This is an old traditional market. Great walk and view. Make sure to try some food. 😊 There is a parking area near the gate 20 Baht / car. Toilet is quite clean as well. 5 Baht to use. Money drop near the sink.
Vu N — Google review
Thais use to come here to buy some old-style cookies, cakes and sweet candies. Today the market updated a bit. Now you can find toys, lot of noodles restaurants, fish (fried and dried) fish balls (very famous shop here). Nice atmosphere, even not everywhere is "originaly vintage" still definitely one of my fav places here in Suphanburi. Ps: still one old shop selling music tapes from the '80 (Thai music only).

Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan

Sacred & Religious Sites
Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan is a renowned historic temple in Thailand, featuring a grand sitting Buddha and vibrant murals. The royal emblem of King Rama IV adorns the wihan, where the centerpiece is the revered Luangpho To Buddha image.
It is a royal temple as evident from the royal emblem of King Rama IV on the gable of the wihan. While practising austerity during his monkhood, the king found this temple and had it restored after his succession to the throne. It is surmised that this royal temple was built during the days of glory of the town. The Northern Chronicle says King Katae assigned a young Mon to renovate the temple after the year 1181. A huge Buddha image known as ‘Luangpho To’ in the elegant image hall or Wihan is the centre of faith for Buddhist people. With a height of 23.46 metres, the Buddha image is seated in the European style in the posture known as Palilayaka, accepting offerings from an elephant and a monkey, the art from U Thong Suphannaphum period. 🌹 Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan 🌻 Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan in Suphan Buri Province is an ancient temple of great historical and Buddhist significance. Its most striking feature is the large Luang Pho To Buddha image, enshrined in the exquisitely architectural viharn. Paying homage to Luang Pho To is considered auspicious, as it is believed to be sacred and bestow success. Furthermore, the viharn houses murals depicting the life of the Buddha and folklore, making a visit to the temple not only a place of worship but also a place of learning and immersion in Thai art and culture. 🌺 The atmosphere within Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan is peaceful and shady, perfect for making merit and practicing Dhamma. Despite the large number of visitors, the temple grounds are well-managed to ensure that it never feels crowded. There are plenty of places to walk around and explore, and shops selling souvenirs and food are located around the temple grounds, making a visit a complete experience, combining merit-making, sightseeing, and relaxation. If you have the opportunity to visit Suphan Buri, don't miss a visit to Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan. To experience the sacredness and beauty of this temple 📍Highway 321, Malai Man Road, Rua Yai Subdistrict 📍Mueang Suphan Buri District, Suphan Buri 72000 ⏰ 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

The Wat Pa Lelai Waorawihan in Suphanburi is famous for two reasons: the 23.46 meter high Buddha statue and where some scenes from the famous Thai epic Khun Chang Khun Phaen take place. The Wat Pa Lelai is classified as a third class royal temple and therefore has the designation Worawihan.

Wat Muang

Mentioned on

Sights & Landmarks
Wat Muang is a Buddhist monastery and temple complex in Thailand that houses an impressive 92-meter-tall sitting Buddha statue. Despite its deteriorating state, the temple's mirror design and towering Buddha make it a must-visit destination on the way to Bangkok. Believed by locals to bring good luck for work and wealth, this massive Buddha offers a unique first-time experience for all visitors regardless of faith.
Go. See. Marvel. A super huge buddha image that catches the eye from many km around. When we went they were repainting it so we saw it as a white buddha (as our photo's show). The temple is also amazing and has on display the mummified body of the hrad monk whk created this amazing temple complex.
Rian T — Google review
1. Wat Muang is a landmark temple in Ang Thong Province, located in central Thailand, about 50 kilometers from Ayutthaya. It takes approximately one hour to drive there. The temple is relatively small and easy to navigate, with an average visit lasting around 20 minutes. 2. The temple consists of five main areas: the main hall, a Chinese-style shrine, a sculpture zone, a small garden, and the giant Buddha. The layout is linear. The entrance leads to the main hall, which features a traditional Thai exterior but a rather unusual interior—silver mirrored ceiling, golden chandeliers, silver columns, and a large lotus base, giving it a distinctly eclectic style. 3. To the left of the main hall is a small Chinese-style shrine dedicated to Guanyin (the Thousand-armed Bodhisattva) and Tang Sanzang. Although modest in size, it represents the temple’s fusion of Chinese religious elements, which is common in Thai temples. 4. Between the main hall and the giant Buddha lies the sculpture zone. This area includes statues depicting Buddhist concepts of karmic punishment—such as long-tongued demons, hell guardians, boiling pots, and fire pits—mixed with figures from both Buddhist and Taoist traditions. The overall layout lacks thematic coherence and appears more like a collage of diverse religious symbols. 5. Beyond the sculpture zone is a small garden, leading to the platform of the giant Buddha. The statue, named Phra Buddha Maha Nawamin, is 92 meters tall and 63 meters wide, making it the largest seated Buddha in Thailand. It is currently under maintenance, entirely white in appearance, and the stairway at its base is closed, so visitors cannot approach or climb it. The statue can only be viewed from a distance. 6. For photography, the best angle is from the rice field outside the temple, where the Buddha can be framed with green paddies and blue sky. It’s recommended to avoid midday due to heat; early morning or late afternoon offers better lighting. 7. The temple is free to enter and generally quiet, with few tourists. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed.

The largest seated Buddha in Thailand. Currently being painted. On all my visits, it has never been possible to walk up the steps to the Buddha, like seen on many videos. Maybe that is only open on certain religious days. In any case, it is a must visit. The hell-torture statues are unusual but I wish there were some English descriptions.

This temple is one of the main attractions in Thailand, although the province is quite unknown for most tourists. The main point here is that it's the site of the largest Buddha statue in Thailand. There's plenty of space to park and it's really worth visiting. i'd recommend bringing an umbrella as the site of the Buddha statue is in the open sun, and it's really bright and hot on most days.

An amazing temple! Huge Buddah image! My Wife symbol. Many interesting things to do there including story telling with large lifelike size statues

Visited on 20 November 2024: Excellent temple to visit. Peaceful and windy today. Not many people. Clean environment. Lots of parking spots.
Christopher L — Google review
The temple is originally a row-dug site from the late Ayutthaya Kingdom (around 2230 B.E.). It was destroyed during the Burmese invasion (around 2310 B.E.) and remained a ruin for a long time. The official name of the Great Buddha statue is Phra Phuttha Mahanawamintra Sakayamuni Sri Wiset Chai Chan. It was erected as a tribute to King Bhumibol on the 50th anniversary of his accession to the throne. It is made of concrete and painted gold, with a height of approximately 93 meters and an estimated width (foot) of 62–63 meters. Construction took 16 years, from around 1991–2008. This makes it Thailand's largest Buddha statue, the second largest in Southeast Asia, and one of the tallest in the world. In addition to the great Buddha, there is a temple and a whole series of figures that symbolize all the suffering that humans will face in hell for the evil deeds they have committed.

Phra Prang Sam Yot

Water & Amusement Parks
Phra Prang Sam Yot, also known as the Monkey Temple, is a renowned attraction in Mueang Lopburi District. This ancient Khmer-style temple, dating back to the 12th century, was initially built as a Buddhist temple and later converted to Shiva worship before being returned to Buddhism. The site is famous for its three linked towers constructed from laterite and sandstone. Visitors can explore the ruins while interacting with the playful monkeys that freely roam around the area.
We went to an ancient place where mostly monkeys lived inside an ancient castle, but some of them were still on the street or by the roadside. However, most of them are aggressive, and I once saw them fight and bleed. If you go inside, the ticket price for Thais is 10 baht, while foreigners pay 40 baht. They will give you a long wooden stick; if monkeys see you carrying it, they won't come close. Don't bring any food, or you'll get attacked, just like my husband did! He bought peanuts in a plastic bag, and a monkey sneaked behind him and grabbed the bag immediately!

Great site to visit! Not super busy during the weekday. I would say, it gets really hot in the afternoon so I would suggest going early morning or late evening. Wear walking shoes because there are several steps, but you can also get dropped off at Gate 4, to avoid the long stairway. We walked the stairs up and had our driver take us back.
Donniecia C — Google review
Visited in March 2025, the ruins themselves are quite small, not much information given about them, only takes 10 minutes to walk around and glance inside (nothing of note inside). Main attraction of course are the monkeys, pretty cool to see them around the temple ruins. In my experience not aggressive at all as some have suggested, mainly ignore you or if anything are shy, tend to run away if you're within a metre of them. They give you a stick at the entrance, hope nobody actually beats them with it...
Joseph M — Google review
Cool ancient ruins of a Buddhist temple. Popular IG spot for both visitors and locals of Lopburi. Not necessary to pay the entrance fee as you can see it from the road, unless you want to pay 5x the price as locals to have a closer experience with the monkeys.
Nick R — Google review
An ancient Khmer-style temple and one of Lopburi’s most iconic landmarks. The three connected prangs represent the Hindu Trimurti — Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — and were later transformed into a Buddhist sanctuary. Not as many monkeys as before, since most of them have been relocated by the municipality, but you can still see some around the area. It’s now much calmer and easier to walk around without worrying about mischievous monkeys. We visited around 4:30 PM, and the temple looked stunning in the soft golden light. The weather was pleasant and not too hot — it gave the place such a cozy, peaceful feeling. The entrance fee for foreigners is 80 THB. Parking is available nearby, and the site is easy to explore. Take less than 30 mins to stroll around and take a bunch of photos. A wonderful stop to admire ancient Khmer architecture, history, and serenity — especially at sunset. 🌅
Thanaporn C — Google review
The most popular landmark of Lopburi and the most lovely animal of the province, monkeys. Went there in May 2025 and they said that most of monkeys were relocated. The monkeys are really cute but they can be a little bit snatchers. You should be extra careful and listen to the officers. Keep all your accessories in your bags. All of the small and shiny things should be put away from their sight including glasses, phones, car keys, keychains, bracelet, necklace and earings. Once you loose it, you never get it back. Please love the monkeys and be kind to them.
Ekk C — Google review
One of the famous landmark in Lopburi province. It was a special place for me to visit. The weather was awesome no crowd at all. They take care of the place in a good way. The ticket price is 80THB for foreigners. A good place to visit if you love history.

Nestled in the heart of Lopburi, King Narai's Palace is a captivating historical site that transports visitors back to the 17th century. Originally constructed in 1665 with assistance from French and Italian engineers, this stunning palace complex was designed to host foreign dignitaries. As you stroll through its beautifully restored halls, gardens, and courtyards, you'll encounter a delightful blend of Thai and European architectural styles.
Great historical place and museum. The former palace of King Narai who let Siam gate open to Europe. Close on Monday and Tuesday.

A must visit when in Lopburi. It’s 200b for foreigner adults but children can enter for free, well worth the ticket price, you get an immersion of Thai history, and the grounds very well preserved. Go into the museum when it gets too hot.
Loretta C — Google review
Wonderful. It's 150baht for foreigners to enter. Free for children. Car parking is just inside the wall or there is on street parking around the outside. My 6yo daughter really enjoyed exploring the grounds and museums with me. Staff were all very friendly. Will visit again.
Phoebe J — Google review
If you've come all the way to Lop Buri, may as well see the only other main sight (apart from the zoo) and something different to the usual complex It is in large grounds and peaceful and quiet. Large amount of artifacts and a good explanatory history who was perhaps responsible for keeping away the potential colonists of France, Holland, Britain and the USA.
Carl B — Google review
Large and beautiful palace grounds. Lovely landscapes filled with green parks, tall trees (perhaps a century old), and ancient palace buildings. Some are completely intact, others are in partial ruins. It was nice to stroll through the palace and take many panoramic photos. The entrance fee cost 150 thb for foreign and 30 thb for local visitors. Kids can enter for free. We spent about 1.5 hours here.
Kumanan S — Google review
Duel pricing in place for foreigners, but I don't have a problem with that. Surprisingly good inside, big area with plenty to explore. Enjoyed the museums and would definitely recommend if you're visiting Lopburi. Added bonus, unlike many areas of the city, I didn't see one Monkey.
Geordie A — Google review
Very well worth the 30 baht entry for Thais. Parking available at the front of the museum for free. The Museum provides a lot of interesting history from the stone age and particularly concentrated during the height of lopburi influence (11th & 17th century). Lots of important artefacts that belong in much bigger museums. The palace grounds are not covered and can get very hot but still an interesting walk through the ruins. Ticket can be bought as combo with other lopburi attractions. Be wary of monkeys around on the roads outside during the late afternoons.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a stunning 17th-century royal Buddhist temple located in a picturesque riverside setting. It is part of the Ayutthaya Historical Park and is renowned as one of the most Instagram-worthy temples in Ayutthaya. The temple's perfectly preserved ruins make it a must-visit attraction, along with the impressive complex of Wat Yai Chai Mongkol.
Tragically beautiful and impressive temple ruins. It’s a rather large temple complex with many Buddha statues with most of them missing their head. Our tour guide related to us how the Burmese army sacked and destroyed the temple in 1767 during the invasion. Heads of the statues were decapitated by the Burmese soldiers in search of valuables and jewellery said to be hidden in the torsos of the Buddha statues. This former royal temple truly deserves a visit.

What a truly remarkable historical site. The temple ruins are incredibly awe-inspiring and evoke a deep sense of wonder. It feels like the perfect place to capture beautiful memories and photos. Visiting here is both uplifting and soothing to the spirit. The sunlight and the boiling hot weather in the middle of the day might be the only downside of this exễprience but they also give you an umbrella to make up for that

Amazeballs! Simply stunning, by far best cultural landmark I have visited in TH! It might may not have the grandeur of a golden temple or palace, but has it respectfully place of significance in Thai and human history.

Beautiful ruins of an ancient temple in Ayutthaya. Easy day trip from Bangkok by train or private car. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entrance fee can be combined with the other temples for 300 Baht all together. Most of the smaller temples are free to enter.

Overall, I do enjoy everything in Ayutthaya. But just hope there are more explanations and not just a place for taking instragammable pictures. Hopefully, the authorities can make it more educational with better quality explanations. Otherwise, history will be forgotten for such an amazing place.
JooZoo W — Google review
Part of Ayutthaya Historical Park, this ruined, wrenchingly beautiful Buddhist temple is an unseo site, with a central 115 feet prang, four smaller prangs, and eight Chedi-shaped chapels, on a rectangular platform. Some dos and don'ts: Taboos: food drink smoking climbing scratching sitting bottle of water is allowed tho. Outfit taboos: strapless tank top wide neck crop top shorts, low waist pants miniskirt No, you don't need to take your shoes off. This Temple was built in 1630 by Siam's King, Prasat Thong (1599-1655), as a memorial to his mother's residence. It was his first Temple during his reign. The name meant Temple of long reign and glorious era. Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island, this site a major tourist attraction. Many young women (perhaps locals?) rent the traditional outfits from many shops across the street, and use the park as a background for photos. Many of our tour mates squeezed in for a show, and they politely welcomed/tolerated us.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet is a remarkable temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand. It was constructed during the 14th century and features three restored towers, with the central and eastern ones built in classic Ayutthaya style influenced by Ceylon architecture. The site also includes a viharn that houses a 16-meter high golden Buddha image coated with 170 kilograms of gold. This temple holds great historical significance as it once housed the ashes of several former Thai Kings for centuries.
What an amazing slice of Thailand's history. For 80 Bart enjoy a wonderful walk thru this magnificent place. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. If you can, try and get in early. This place is very popular and by 10:00am there are lots of people. Getting in at opening time will give you more opportunity to get those photos done.
John S — Google review
A beautiful place for sure!! Be aware foreigners do pay way more than natives. 10 baht for Thai and 80 baht for foreigners. Also some of the parts you WILL need to dress for temple attire so no shorts and tank top. We went on a very hot and humid mid day so bringing drinks is very important. They do have umbrellas you can take to protect yourself from the sun. For the one with the very big tower (first picture) you WILL need an umbrella as there are barely any trees. Don't mind the stray dogs walking around there either.
Jenny W — Google review
Great place to go; a must-see place. Take a taxi or any organized trip to this place. We took an organized trip and enjoyed it pretty much. Take an umbrella with you; the sun is burning so much!
Bedrich V — Google review
Wat Phra Si Sanphet houses the three majestic Chedis each of which houses the remains of three Kings of Ayutthya. During the Burmese invasion 2 of 3 chedis were completely destroyed. However they were restored much later. The entry tickets are 50 bahts for foreigners and they offer umbrellas for free at the gate. This is located on the royal grounds of the Ayutthya Kingdom and the construction of the temple started as early as 1365 AD. The ground is huge and takes more than half an hour to explore. The grounds, the gardens are well kept by the staff. Visit early morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the harsh sun.
Animesh K — Google review
Reputed to be the most ancient temple in Ayutthaya, Wat Phra Si Sanphet was built in 1351, and the area served as a royal palace. Wat Phra Si Sanphet was once the most sacred temple on the site of the old Royal Palace. The temple and palace ground ruins later served as a model for Wat Phra Kaew in the present-day capital of Bangkok. It is most well known for its three majestic, towering chedis.
Julius T — Google review
One of my favourites temple. You need to come and experience yourself. But I do hope for all the things in Ayutthaya. There could be more explanation of the history sites rather than just the buildings and artifacts. Hard to appreciate with depths.
JooZoo W — Google review
Exploring Wat Phra Si Sanphet was one of the most meaningful moments during my time in Ayutthaya. Standing among the ruins of what used to be the most sacred royal temple in the ancient capital, I was humbled by its history and beauty. The three towering chedis—majestic and solemn—seemed to guard centuries of stories. What made this temple different from the others was its exclusivity. It wasn’t open to monks, only for royal use. Knowing that this was once the spiritual heart of the Ayutthaya Kingdom made the experience feel even more special. The place felt quiet, reverent—despite other visitors being around, there was a respectful hush in the air. I was particularly struck by the story of the massive 16-meter Buddha statue once housed here, which was covered in gold before being destroyed during the Burmese invasion. Even in ruins, you could still feel the sacred energy that once filled this space. The best part was just slowing down and sitting on one of the steps, watching the sun hit the chedis at just the right angle. It wasn’t just a photo opportunity—it was a moment of reflection. If you plan to visit, go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds. Dress modestly—it’s a sacred site after all. This visit reminded me that history isn’t just about buildings or dates. Sometimes, it’s about a quiet walk through a centuries-old temple, feeling the past gently echo around you.

Wat Mahathat is a Buddhist temple in Ayutthaya, known for its colorful shrines and famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots. The temple was once at the heart of Ayutthaya city but was destroyed during the Burmese invasion. Despite the damage, it remains a historical and cultural landmark. Visitors can explore the temple grounds, marvel at its impressive architecture, and learn about Thailand's rich religious heritage.
Been waiting to see this iconic image and it didn’t fall short of our expectations. The entire area is so clean and kept so well just like all tourist spots in Thailand. The crowd was amazing and everyone stood to take their photos and moved fast. On the whole it was a fabulous experience. Must see people who love cultural experiences, the entire temple has some beautiful structures and statues.

This place is full of history and has such a relaxing atmosphere. Walking around the ruins feels like stepping back in time, with every corner showing something interesting. The Buddha head in the tree roots is very unique and even more impressive in real life than in photos. It’s a beautiful spot to take pictures, learn about the past, and just enjoy some quiet moments away from the busy city. Definitely worth a visit.
Olivia — Google review
One of the most famous temples in Ayutthaya, renowned for the most photographed Buddha head encased within the tree roots. Legend has it that a thief had intended to sell the Buddha head but was either forced to abandon it at the spot or the head was too heavy for him to carry further away, and so he had to leave it there. Over time, tree roots began to envelop the Buddha's head, and hence, this peculiar and unique landmark was formed. One can pray to the Buddha Head, but you must kneel and remove your shoes to show your respect.
Julius T — Google review
A must visit in Ayutthaya City. It costs 80 baht for foreigners and 10 baht for Thai people to enter. The main attraction is the Busddha in the tree, but there are plenty of chedi, prang and other Buddha statues about. Talk a walk around Thai history and enjoy.

We visited Wat Mahathat as part of a group tour to the ancient city of Ayutthaya. It is a fantastic place that is full of history. It was the capital prior to Bangkok but was completely burned down by an invasion in 1767. This place just oozes history and it is a great day trip on a visit to Bangkok. It's about an hour or hour and a half by car or there are many daily trains from Bangkok that take one hour and are very cheap. This is also where you can see the buddha head that has been surrounded by the roots of the sacred banyan tree. You should definitely try to make the time if you're in the area. There are a number of other sites only five to ten minutes away also.
Justin R — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. The Buddha head entwined in the roots of the tree is a must-see and truly a unique sight. Take your time to walk around the grounds, the peaceful atmosphere makes it worth exploring.

The remnants of the Ayutthya Kingdom. The Ayutthya Kingdom was one of the most thriving dynasties of South east asia before it was attacked by the Burmese Konboung dynasty. Wat Mahathat is one such remnant of the Ayutthya dynasty. The entry ticket is 50 baht for non thai national and dress code mandates covered shoulder and knees. There are a few gifts shops right beside the ticket counter where one can rent a scarf or trousers. The place is spotless clean and serene. One can feel the calmness and peace in the air. The place definitely lives upto the hype and is a must visit spot in Ayutthya. The Buddha head in the tree is the top attraction here. But the crowd here is well managed and everyone gets a chance to take a pic. Do carry umbrella and water while visiting. Late afternoon is the best time yo visit

A well-known temple for praying for children and fertility. Many people visit to worship, and those who’ve had their prayers answered come back to offer toys and children’s clothes in gratitude. It’s lively and full of energy — one of the most charming temples in Ayutthaya.

Dream World is a lively amusement park located on the outskirts of Bangkok, offering a wide range of attractions for visitors of all ages. From thrilling roller coasters like the Sky Coaster and Hurricane to family-friendly rides such as Speedy Mouse and Haunted Mansion, there's something for everyone. The park also features entertaining theater performances, themed play areas for kids, and opportunities to meet fairytale characters.
Dream World Thailand exceeded all our expectations and delivered an unforgettable experience! From the moment we entered, the park was vibrant, well-organized, and full of energy. There’s truly something for everyone — thrilling rides like the Sky Coaster and Hurricane for adrenaline junkies, and charming attractions like Snow Town and the Giant’s House that kids and families will absolutely love. The entire park is beautifully maintained with themed zones that are perfect for photos — especially the Fairy Tale Land, which looks like it’s straight out of a storybook. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We also appreciated the clean facilities and availability of food options throughout the park, catering to a range of tastes. One of the highlights was the Hollywood Action Show — a fun, high-energy performance that added something extra to our day. We easily spent the whole day here and still felt like there was more to explore. Highly recommended for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a full day of fun, laughter, and memories. Dream World truly lives up to its name!

We visited Dream World with a Super Visa pass — perfect for kids but equally fun for adults! 🎉 The park has around 42 exciting rides, including the Hurricane and Vikings (my favorites!). Some rides had a small queue (10–15 mins), but totally worth it. Tip: Take breaks between rides to avoid motion sickness — doing rides back-to-back made us feel a bit sick. 🤢 One of the highlights was Snow Town ❄️ — our first time experiencing snow! No queue at all, and we were given jackets and boots before entering. Inside, it was freezing cold, and we had so much fun making snow figures, catching falling snow, and taking photos in beautiful snowy spots. 📸 The park is super clean, full of food options, shops, and fun activities. Once inside, we felt like kids again! 👶✨ Highly recommend for families, groups, and adults who love childlike fun. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 – A must-visit in Thailand!

Nice place to visit for rides and a full on theme park vibe. Ideal for kids and adults both. Has some exciting rides with thrills. A decent lunch buffet can also be purchased but plenty of other stalls to buy sbacks and food from as well. Weekends are crowded. Ticket counter opens by 10am. Make sure to be there on time and start with the rides located at the back of the park so that you can start before the crowd comes. Rides seem a bit old but maintaned well. Best to buy tickets online as the price is better. For Snow town jackets and boots are provided. Overall fun experience for a good value.

We just spent the most incredible day at Bangkok Dream World and I cannot recommend it enough for families! Forget any outdated reviews you might have read; our experience was nothing short of magical from start to finish. We visited on a sunny Monday, and while there was a cheerful buzz of energy, the lines for most rides were incredibly manageable. The moment you walk through the entrance and see the iconic castle and colorful storybook buildings, you feel transported to a real-life fairy tale. The park is immaculately clean, and the staff throughout were consistently friendly, helpful, and full of smiles, which really added to the positive atmosphere. There was the perfect mix of gentle rides, like the spinning cups and the delightful boat ride through Snow Town, and more thrilling adventures for our eldest, who braved the Viking ship and the super fun log flume—be prepared to get wet! The absolute highlight for all of us was the suspended roller coaster. It was an adrenaline-pumping blast, smooth and exhilarating, with fantastic views of the park. We also loved the cable car; it was a peaceful way to see the entire park from above and plan our next move. We met several costumed characters who were playful and engaging, and the photo opportunities around every corner are endless. We enjoyed a great lunch at one of the food courts, with a wide variety of tasty and affordable Thai and international options to keep everyone happy. Bangkok Dream World far exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect size to explore in a day without feeling rushed, it’s beautifully maintained, and it offers a wonderful balance of excitement and charm. It’s a hidden gem that provided us with priceless family memories. We will absolutely be back! If you're looking for a fun, wholesome, and utterly delightful day out with your family, look no further.

Dream World Bangkok – A Must-Visit for All Ages! Dream World Bangkok exceeded all our expectations and delivered an unforgettable experience! From the moment we entered, the park felt vibrant, well-organized, and full of energy. Whether you're visiting with kids, friends, or as a couple, there's something for everyone. 🎢 Rides & Attractions: Adrenaline junkies will love thrilling rides like the Sky Coaster and Hurricane, while families and younger visitors can enjoy charming attractions such as Fairy Tale Land, Giant’s House, and the magical Snow Town — where you can experience real snow in the middle of tropical Thailand! 📸 Themed Zones & Photo Spots: The park is beautifully maintained and packed with themed areas that make for fantastic photo opportunities. Fairy Tale Land especially feels like stepping into a storybook, and the oversized props in the Giant’s House are perfect for quirky, fun photos. 🎭 Shows & Entertainment: Live performances like the Hollywood Action Show and parades add excitement and variety throughout the day. They’re well-timed and entertaining for all ages. 🛝 Water Park & Relaxation: After enjoying the rides, the Water Park is a great way to cool down and relax — especially if you're tired after exploring. It's a nice balance between adventure and leisure. 🍜 Food & Facilities: Food options are reasonably priced, with both Thai and international dishes available. We found clean restrooms, shaded rest areas, and plenty of seating. For example, a plate of chicken fried rice was just 70 Baht and came with unlimited salad! 🎟️ Tips for Visitors: • Buy tickets online in advance for discounts and quicker entry. • We opted for the day pass with unlimited access, which was great value. • Try starting with attractions that have shorter queues and leave the longer ones for later — lines tend to shorten in the afternoon. • Weekdays are less crowded, with minimal wait times (as little as 5–7 minutes for some rides). • Some attractions like the go-kart track require basic driving skills. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Perfect for: Families with children, groups of friends, couples, or even solo travelers looking to escape into a world of imagination and fun. Verdict: Dream World lives up to its name! It's a well-rounded theme park offering fun, laughter, and lasting memories for visitors of all ages. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bangkok.

Dream World in Bangkok is a fantastic amusement park that often receives positive reviews from visitors of all ages. There is the wide range of rides and attractions available, catering to everyone from thrill-seekers to families with young children. The mix of thrilling roller coasters, gentle rides, and fun interactive experiences makes it an enjoyable spot for all. Dream World is definitely highlighted as a great destination for families. The park is prised for its cleanliness, safety, and kid-friendly attractions. It’s a place where children can explore and have fun while parents relax. Visitors enjoy the themed zones within the park, such as "Fantasy Land" and "Adventure Land." These areas offer unique experiences with creative sets and entertaining shows, adding to the overall magic of the park. The live shows and parades are also advantages. Guests love the vibrant performances, which include entertaining characters and exciting displays, offering a nice break from the rides. Staff are helpful and friendly, which contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors feel cared for and appreciated, enhancing their overall experience. The park is easily accessible, and there are facilities such as restrooms and food stalls spaced out conveniently throughout the area. Guests appreciate the availability of meals and snacks, which keeps everyone energized for a day of fun. Compared to many other amusement parks, Dream World is often noted for being relatively affordable. The ticket prices and value for the experiences provided are considered reasonable, making it a great option for families on a budget. What I've missed there is a cafeteria or air conditioning restaurant where after few hours you can rest and cool down from the hot outside 😜.

Restaurant
PB Valley Khaoyai Winery, located in the Pak Chong district of Thailand, is the largest winery in Southeast Asia. Established by Mr. Piya Bhirombhakdi, this 1000-acre vineyard benefits from high elevation and cool temperatures during the winter months, allowing for the successful cultivation of wine grapes such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chenin Blanc.
A great experience lasting 70 minutes with 3 stations: grapes picking, brewery tour and wine tasting. Grapes were crunchy and sweet. Wines include the rose red, blanc white and red. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible experience at PB Valley! I ordered the braised beef and a calamari side, and both dishes were out of this world. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich in flavour, and perfectly balanced. The calamari was fresh, crispy, and a great complement to the meal. The restaurant is set right in a beautiful vineyard, which adds to the charm. Our group, though we didn’t drink, bought a bunch of grape juices — and they were excellent. Everyone was happy with the food, and I also tried my friend’s roasted chicken, which was delicious. The atmosphere was warm, and the service attentive and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough — if you’re in Khao Yai, make sure PB Valley is on your list!

Very charming winery with a lovely view restaurant. Moderate prices for great food and yummy wine. Nice gift shop and can buy wine and spirits there. Locally made products. The staff is friendly and attentive. Had no time for wine tour but will be back. Easy parking. Lovely mountains with water views of vineyard.

The vineyard is a gem in the Khaoyai National Park. Beautifully landscaped with several out buildings including an excellent restaurant. We also did the wine tasting. I would definitely recommend it.

Truly a new experience. Joined their 350 baht wine tour at 09.15 am time. Got to see their vineyard, grape picking, and the production line. You can also got 3 glass of wine tasting. Very worth it !

Visited PB Valley Winery in Khao Yai last Saturday. The place has a great ambiance surrounded by beautiful greenery. As it’s off-season, there weren’t many grapes on the vines, but our guide explained everything perfectly about the vineyard and wine-making process. If you enjoy nature and a calm, peaceful environment, it’s definitely worth a visit.

The Thong Somboon Club is a relaxed resort with a Wild West theme that offers event space, horseback rides, a cafe, zipline and log ride. It's situated in the scenic Khao Yai region and provides an abundance of fun activities for families and friends to enjoy. The village is well-built with various options for both kids and adults to partake in.
Fun place to gather with friends or just relax quietly. The theme is western and cowboy so giddy up pardner. There are free zone (games, mini zoo) and paid activities as well (zip-line, atv, etc). Highlight was the mini zoo and fussing the baby goats.

What's Good? Great view at the cafe on top with cool air during December. Not your typical theme park, but still packed with fun. Super spacious. Recommend to bring poncho along. Go for the 599 per person package. 3 hours, just nice. What's to improve? Ice-cream and drinks exchange with free token are available in the upper region only, not at entrance. More maintenance needed.

As an adult, it was a lovely afternoon and a wonderful experience. As a foreigner, the price of an MVP pass was a bit too high for what was on offer, in my opinion. Most of the things are geared more towards a younger audience. You can easily see everything in four hours. It's definitely worth a visit.
Florian — Google review
Good fun, but expensive (like you’d expect from a theme park). We went for the rainbow road luge which was a great laugh but over in a minute… 399Baht per person for a single activity, shuttle car-train to the top section of the park and a drink.

This place was is such a beautiful view and good place to travel with family! If you have children, im sure it would be very nice since they have bicycle and swimming pool! I recommend this place is best place to travel and have memories with your family, friends and relatives! I love this place!! ❤️

I had a very bad experience. If you're a foreigner you'll have absolutely no information since everything is written only in Thai. And most of the staff are not very friendly and difficult to get information. I speak Thai but still struggle because I can't read Thai. The staff weren't so helpful. Later I understand the entry plans are all joke and couldn't even play anything without paying 200 each ride. I chose 599 and my wife picked 399 and both are almost the same. Not worthy for what you the pay...

Farm Chokchai, located in Khao Yai, is the largest dairy farm in Asia and offers a fully integrated experience on its expansive grounds. Visitors can engage in various activities such as milking cows, making ice cream from fresh milk, watching cowboy shows, and enjoying talented dog performances. The farm also offers guided tours for a deeper exploration of its operations.
I absolutely love this farm! It’s so well-kept with a warm, welcoming staff, beautiful plants, and adorable animals. It’s such great value for money, and you can easily spend 3 hours just wandering around and relaxing. Chill under the big shady tree, swing on the swings, and let the sunshine warm your skin. Feeding the animals is a blast, and petting them is just so soothing! 🚨 among all the farms I think this will be the top recommended. It’s clean and young child friendly. +Value for money. Try their banana milk and strawberry milk.

An Absolutely Unforgettable Farm Experience – We’re Already Dreaming of Our Next Visit! WE MISS THOSE ADORABLE, FLUFFY SHEEP SO MUCH! 🐑💕 Khao Yai has many farms, but this one is SPECIAL – where else can you actually STEP INSIDE a sheep barn and have dozens of eager, woolly friends munching right from your hands?! The joy is absolutely contagious! Here’s how to MAXIMIZE THE FUN (driver tips included!): ✨ **Start at the museum** (2 floors of quirky farm history – way more interesting than it sounds!) ✨ Speed through the "12 zodiac animals" – save your snacks because the REAL excitement comes later! ✨ SHEEP FEEDING TIME!** 🎉 Your driver can take you straight to the sheep & flower farm – prepare for sheer delight as soft noses nuzzle your palms! (Pro tip: Hold the food high unless you want an overeager sheep attempting a cuddle!) ✨ Bunny paradise awaits! The rabbit feeding area is MAGICAL – they’ll hop right up to you, twitching noses and all! ✨ Don’t miss cow milking – it’s hilariously hands-on and perfect for photos! This isn’t just for kids – we adults were squealing with joy the entire time!** Between the flower fields, giggling at greedy goats, and being mobbed by sweet sheep, this farm delivers PURE HAPPINESS. 10/10 would feed sheep again – see you soon, fluffy friends! 🌈🐇🐄 🐑

Tickets are 120฿ per person — drive your own car in and explore 4 main spots between 1:30–3:30 PM. • Stop 1 is mainly for feeding animals (not photo-friendly and requires extra fee). • Stop 2 is a stunning flower field with wide open skies and constant cool breeze — perfect for photos (but bring a hat, it’s sunny!). • Stop 3 is where you can feed adorable animals. A basket of treats (milk bottles, veggies, etc.) costs 140฿ and is more than enough. After that, cool down with their 99฿ coconut ice cream cone (topped with beans!) — super refreshing, but melts fast in the wind. • There are also 4 daily buffalo shows — free to watch, though it gets crowded and hard to snap a clear pic.
Nazmul K — Google review
The farm has four exploration points. First, you get to explore a big field and interact with the sheep. You can also feed them. Second, you explore a field of colorful flowers. Third, you can milk cows, interact with rabbits, sheep, and geese, and play fun mini-games. You can also rent a bike to go around. Fourth, it is a museum where you can learn about cowboy culture and the Thai forest. Their ice cream is delicious. It has a soft gelato-like consistency and not-too-sweet flavors.

One of the historic farm in Thailand. We have visited this place during our journey back to Bangkok. With just 120 Baht per person we drove thru the farm by our car. We also ordered a "recommended" hamburger menu that in my idea was a bit overpriced (410 Baht) taken into account the quality and quantity compared to what usually we get in Europe.

Visited in December 2024 for a family trip. It is a very big farm. Paid for entrance to drive in with our driver. The drive is just a small loop. Went in the afternoon as my driver said that's the time he could bring us there. Totally wrong. I suggest you go in the early morning. No cowboy show during my visit. Just some sheep and cows. They will display 2 dairy cows for you to try milking but you need to pay. So be prepared to pay at every station. I can't even go around the farm on their tractor because they claimed my ticket was not included. I wasn't even sure what was included in my ticket as I can't speak or understand Thai. I just paid what I was told and went for it. I spent only 30 minutes there and I left. A total waste of time. It only looks fantastic on advertisements but the real thing doesn't match up at all. There are better ones.

It is nice to see a different type of temple in Thailand. Seeing this Hindu temple is a totally different atmosphere than the Buddhist temples. It is beautiful, but to be honest we did not spend long time here and would not visit again. Nice to see though if you are in the neighborhood.

Very few people around, and the parking area is spacious. The place is quite old, and apart from the two Ganesha statues, there’s really not much else to see.

Here you’ll see two of Thailand’s largest Ganesha statues. Both very large. The statue was a little worse for wear (need of a clean/repaint) upon my visit however nevertheless impressive! Plenty of parking space and wonderful atmosphere.

Located in Khao Yai National Park, Haew Narok Waterfall is the largest and highest waterfall in the park. It consists of three tiers and is particularly popular during the rainy season. To reach the viewpoint for this beautiful cascade, visitors must walk approximately 1 kilometer from the main road. The waterfall stands at about 150 meters high and is known for its steepness and strong currents, which add an element of danger to its beauty.
Haew Narok is a beautiful waterfall and the visit is well worth the effort. The walk to the falls is very pleasant, followed by a series of steps down and back up. The waterfall itself is truly stunning and a great reward for the short hike
UEM — Google review
Very nice waterfall in rain seizon very strong and big, to walk there is not for beginners, at the end there is a steep stairs
P W — Google review
One of the best waterfalls I have seen. Stillness before the cliff. Once at the cliff, water flows down with great strength. Its so steep and dangerous that elephants have died. Barriers are built to prevent the elephants from going too near to the waterfall. Its a must see when in Khao Yai. The final stretch come with relatively steep steps. So take extra caution.
Chiun T — Google review
Beautiful waterfall @Khaoyai. To enjoy this beautiful waterfall you need to climb hundreds of very steep stairs. There isn't too many people during the weeks. It is worth the trip to enjoy this beautiful nature.
Kesmond K — Google review
Pls be prepared for the flight of stairs down and up to the viewing platform. It is amazing and I even ran into a herd of elephants head on and it was amazing. Don’t be held back by a thb 400 and thb 30 fee. Just go and self drive. Road is safe. Oh this part of road is only opened from 6am-6pm.
Take T — Google review
Great way to explore the nature. About 1km walk from the entrance. Can observe trees and some small wild animals during the way. The walk path is easy to moderate and very steep stairs when getting close to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is great and there was a lot of water during rainy season.
Sutthirak T — Google review
Be here rainy season it’s a lot of water. Looks amazing. The way to waterfall easy to walk but has a lot of stairs it took around 30-40min by foot. Very stunning waterfall
Pattareeya T — Google review
Biggest waterfall I've ever seen! But be aware of some things: 1. You have to walk for a while to get there and there are MANY steps (you also have to walk back again, so only go there if you feel fit enough) 2. Due to the height of the waterfall, there is a lot of humidity in the air. If you stand right next to the waterfall, you will get very wet. Make sure you only bring clothing that can get wet 3. There are a lot of dangerous animals right next to the foot path (we saw a tarantula and some poisonous snakes) so stay on the path or bring a local guide.

A beautiful national park and my 37th in Thailand! lots of nature, I love being able to drive round at my own pace got absolutely soaked mind you but I got to see elephants in the wild so I'm happy.

Beautiful park - pristine and well worth visiting. Be mindful that as a foreigner, you will need to pay the tourist price for entry (400 bhat). Not a big deal but worth noting. Also be mindful that there are a lot of unmarked speed bumps so keep an eye out for these. Highly recommended

The National park is very beautiful. A wide open large space with a road running all the way through it. On our visit we didn’t get to see elephants but we saw large healthy dear and monkeys carrying babies. There are amazing view points and also camping points. You can also drive right through the park to an amazing waterfall. A very worthwhile visit. 40 Bhat for local people and 300 Bhat for foreigners. Still money worth spending.
Wandering S — Google review
Huge national park with many interesting animals. I'd recommend to book a safari with a guide, because otherwise you might drive/walk straight past the most interesting things without even noticing. Also you are not allowed to walk into the jungle on your own, which makes sense because although beautiful it can also be dangerous. Also make sure you bring insect spray and leech protection socks. And don't forget to respect nature.
Viki S — Google review
Beautiful place with lots of wildlife. Although it was a very short wildlife photography trip for me, I got some wonderful photographs of wild elephant herd, sambar deers, barking deers, and pig-tailed macaques. Definitely coming back for a longer visit next time.
Om Y — Google review
It's really worth a visit. Just watch out for wildlife if you were to drive after dawn. There are so many interesting spots, day and night, to enjoy the nature. If you are not really into camping, stay on the lower areas of the park. There are many fancy hotels and houses to choose from. More importantly, it's much easier to eat with varieties of foods. Just be aware that prices may be similar to Bangkok, or some places are even priceier.
Preeyakorn P — Google review
We visit the khao yai national Park yesterday I search on khao yai national Park website the entry fees for foreigners is 200 baht even on the Internet it says 200 baht but they charge us 400 baht per person we are the group of many people so it become double the price that what we expected this is very disappointed Dual pricing scam for expats 40thb for Thai 400thb for foreigners even if you have a work permit ranger staff at the entrance told us to leave if we aren't happy paying 10 times more than locals. This is the worst experience and worst attitude we faced and we didn't see much wildlife in day time At night safari we see some but it's not worth it to pay 10× extra for that

Wat Saman Rattanaram is a vibrant and captivating temple in Chachoengsao, Thailand. The main highlight is the enormous pink statue of the Hindu deity Ganesha, which measures 16 meters tall and 22 meters long. The temple grounds also feature a variety of other large and intriguing statues representing figures from Thai, Chinese, Buddhist, and Hindu traditions. Visitors can explore shrines dedicated to different deities, creating a harmonious fusion of cultures and religions.
Wat Saman Rattanaram is a famous temple in Chachoengsao with a big pink Ganesha statue. The statue is huge and beautiful — you can see it from far away! It’s very peaceful there, and the temple is next to a calm river. You can also see many other Ganesha statues around the big one. People like to whisper their wishes into the mouse statue’s ear — it’s fun and special. There are lots of spots to take nice photos. Great place to relax and feel lucky. There are shops nearby selling snacks and souvenirs. Easy to visit if you’re coming from Bangkok. Really worth a stop if you’re exploring nearby places!

A very interesting and unique temple. spread over a large area, this temple seems to have a Chinese theme from the type of the decoration and design. Car park is free and available in many areas around the temple. There’s also a 7Eleven, lots of small shops and stalls selling various items from fruits and vegetables, to sun-dried fish and other stuff. There are also few small restaurants as well as larger ones by the river. Many people come to visit and perform rituals and take photos. Enjoyable and nice.

Visiting Wat Saman Rattanaram was a truly unforgettable experience! This temple, located in Chachoengsao, is home to the largest Pink Ganesha statue in Thailand, and it’s absolutely breathtaking in person. The giant reclining Ganesha—standing at about 16 meters high and 24 meters long—radiates positivity and calmness. Unlike traditional depictions, this Ganesha is painted pink, symbolizing kindness, compassion, and the removal of obstacles in a gentle way. What makes this temple even more fascinating is how it blends Hindu, Buddhist, and Chinese cultural influences in one place. Surrounding the main statue are numerous smaller deities, including the mouse statues believed to carry wishes directly to Ganesha—each color of mouse represents a different day of the week and has a unique spiritual meaning! The atmosphere here is vibrant yet peaceful. You’ll find local food stalls, souvenir shops, and floating markets nearby, making it a wonderful place to spend a few hours. The temple is well-maintained, colorful, and full of life—a perfect reflection of Thai spirituality and creativity. The Pink Ganesha holds a rosary, a broken tusk, and a sweet (laddu)—each symbolizing wisdom, perseverance, and life’s sweetness. Devotees whisper their wishes into the ears of Ganesha’s mice statues to send their prayers directly to him. The temple also features statues of Chinese gods, the Hindu god Vishnu, and the Buddha, showcasing Thailand’s harmony between different faiths. On weekends, you can enjoy a floating market and boat rides along the river nearby. Overall, Wat Saman Rattanaram is not just a temple—it’s a cultural experience. Whether you’re seeking blessings, stunning photo spots, or a deeper understanding of Thai spiritual fusion, this place is a must-visit!

A well known Buddhist temple on the river. Has many activities there and nice market selling wide range of goods and souvenirs. We just went for a quick visit in the morning and not for any special occasion.

Flora Park, located in Wang Nam Khiao, is a serene floral garden featuring vibrant flower beds and well-maintained shrubs. Visitors can explore eight different zones housing over 400 plant varieties by hopping on a shuttle bus. However, it's advisable to be prepared for potential traffic and hot weather with hats and other essentials. The park offers a pleasant way to spend time surrounded by beautiful flowers and open spaces.
Nicely located in a hilly area with spectacular displays of flowers in various colors and formations. Car park is available at the entrance, both outside and inside the park. On walking in, you are greeted by a member of staff to guide you to the ticketing area and on purchase of entry ticket (200 Baht adults, 150 Baht for over 60 years), staff will brief you what the ticket includes, then enter the park after getting stamped with ink under your wrist. The park has many parts with different setups as well as a small coffee shop on top of a small hill giving a panoramic view. Children enjoy the display of projected cartoon images on the walls, ceiling and floor of the dark room by the Cafe, and you can request your photo be taken by photographer and collect it on the way out for the price of 200 Baht. There is also a golf cart to take visitors in a tour around the large park. So beautiful and nice.

Very nice park. Entry was 200 Baht for adults and 150 for 60+. It included access to the flora park and the rose park. To go between them, a trolley is available every hour. You do need your tickets when arriving at the rose park! We went in December, and nit everything was in bloom, but it was still very prety. Next to the Flora park is a restaurant with great chicken wings!
Floris V — Google review
I've visited Flora Park several times over the years. The flowers were still as lovely as ever. There are trolleys to take you to the rose garden not far away. Still think it's the best flower park around the Wang Nam Kheo area. Worth a visit though the fee is rather high.
Patrin I — Google review
Nice place to stop by. For one ticket you get Flora Park and Rose Park, which is nearby and accessed by your transport or shuttle from Flora Park. Great to walk around and view scenery. Various snacks and drinks are served on premises.

Beautiful floral park in the Nakhon Ratchasima, north east of Thailand. Nice day out with friends and family if you happen to travel near the area, but it's not worth it if you're visiting Thailand for the first time. The best time to visit is during the Thailand cold season, others season it's way too hot and not many flowers to look at.
Annie V — Google review
Went to the flora park today. Unfortunately it looked like the season is over for now. Most of the flowers were dry. And the area was not that well maintained this time. Entrance fee was reduced from 200 to 80 Baht.
Christopher A — Google review
Nice flower garden with an observation deck. The deck has a "mini teamLab" room for a little fun. There is also a rose garden at the back with a shuttle bus run every hour. Recommend to go in the late afternoon because it was too hot even in Feb. Restaurant and cafe on site are pretty good and reasonable price.
Krirk S — Google review
This is a very nice place. We went in January and the prices went down already. 150 for adult and 100 THB for kids (I think 90/100cm to 130cm) and people over 60. There is a shuttle bus to the Rose Garden which is also very nice.

Shopping
Golden Gate Plaza is a vibrant marketplace that showcases an array of clothing and handicrafts stalls, along with street food vendors. It's a bustling night market where shoppers need to possess excellent bargaining skills to land deals on their purchases. With its massive size, the market can take hours to explore fully, and visitors can find an impressive selection of items to buy.
A must place to explore, buy belts, glasses, suitcase, trainers, sports clothing etc. Gets very hot here, can use golf trolley to use as karge walking site. Visit here monthly, best place to buy gifts , great savings !!!!!!!

2. HAND HEAVEN To call Rong Kluea market anything else would not be fair. I do not know where all the 2. clothes come from originally. I was told that the majority of the seller's which is from Cambodia bring all the products they are selling them from Cambodia. The goods are brought to the market from Cambodia on big hand-pulled carts. The products are mostly 2. hand clothes mixed with some new copy products. The 2. hand clothes look like is origins from the west, how it end up at a border market in Thailand's one can only wonder about. The market is supplying most of the 2. hand clothes shops around Thailand. When you look at the license plates at the cars at the parking lots you see cars from all over Thailand.

Very big border market, a lot of things to look for and buy if the price is right

A stone’s throw away from cambodia border. You could find plenty of goods here, ranging from sneakers, flip flop, bags, household items, cosmetic, etc. Most of the merchants are khmer.

A great night market. Like mostly night market, you need to have a bargain skill before buying things.
Margareta H — Google review
If you are looking for second hand clothes, brand name handbag, original or copy clothes/shoes, machinary and toy, this is the place. Not worth going just to buy few items but if you need to buy a lot or just on the way to or out of Cambodia, great place to stop by at least couple of hours. Better take a bus from Ekamai bus terminal or Lumpini Park.
Kim A — Google review
Golden Gate Plaza Thailand border is so much cheaper than buying in Poipet or the country Cambodia itself. I save a lot of money buying there and a lot of Khmer merchants who have their own stores in Cambodia would buy whatever they need in stocks at a discount rate and sale them in Cambodia for a huge profit. If anyone of you want to save money, shop in Thailand either at the Golden Gate Plaza or somewhere else in Thailand, you will save lots of money. Here in Cambodia, it is the land where one get scammed, get rip off, lied to. Khmer merchants will lied through their teeth and raise the price of whatever you want to buy. Very dishonest. Go to Golden Gate Plaza.

Bat Cave Phnom Sampov is a must-see destination in Battambang. Locals have set up tables and chairs for visitors to enjoy the spectacular view of bats flying out of the cave between 5:30 to 6 pm, while sipping on refreshing drinks. Nearby, there's a temple and killing cave that are worth visiting before witnessing the bat flight.
An unforgettable experience at Phnom Sampov’s Bat Cave! Visiting the Bat Cave near Battambang was one of the most magical and unexpected highlights of my trip to Cambodia. Just before sunset, I arrived at the base of Phnom Sampov and was greeted by friendly locals offering snacks and drinks while pointing me toward the best viewing spots. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, millions of bats began streaming out of the cave in a mesmerizing ribbon across the sky. It felt like watching nature’s own choreography—fluid, endless, and strangely peaceful. The spectacle lasted for nearly half an hour, and I was amazed by how organized the flow of bats seemed. The sound, the movement, and the sheer volume were breathtaking. What made it even more special was the backdrop: golden rice fields, limestone cliffs, and the silhouette of the mountaintop pagoda. I also recommend climbing Phnom Sampov earlier in the day to explore the Killing Caves and the temple at the summit. The history is sobering, but the views are worth the effort. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or just curious traveler, this place is a must-see. Bring a camera, wear comfortable shoes, and prepare to be awed.

Bat cave was a great experience… the bats were never ending! However, what I loved was climbing the mountain and seeing the beautiful view of BB from the top 🌅🌾 LOTS of people, we couldn’t get a PassApp back to our hotel as there were no drivers nearby.
Lily-Jane — Google review
Come in the evening for bats before the sunset. Has some places to drink and eat + night market. Not far from the Phnom Sampov temple and killing caves.
Kyrylo S — Google review
I didn’t stay until evening to see the bats, but the daytime visit was already beautiful! The Buddhist carvings and the giant Buddha statue on the mountain are really impressive and peaceful. The place feels calm with amazing natural scenery. It’s a nice spot to learn about local culture, take photos, and enjoy the view. I’ll come back again next time to see the bats flying out at sunset! 🌄

Saturday 11the October: Nice experience to sit and watch millions of bat's exit the cave at dusk It does get busy around the seats in front of the caves with tourists and locals Still plenty of space to enjoy nature at it's finest, well worth the visit.

If you want to see the bat cave in Battambang, here you go! Thousands of bat flying out at the evening! You can also take a car riding to the mountain just around 2.5$-3$ per person! Local food selling around that too..
Ratha R — Google review
Great to see all the bats flying out of the caves - there’s a few bars around that you can sit at and watch them come out (get there earlier to get a seat). You don’t need to book in advance, we just paid entrance on the door. It does get very busy from 5:15/5:30pm so get there a bit before to get a good spot and not to be rushed around as the bats come out any time from 5:45-6pm

Phnom Sampow Resort is a hidden gem in Cambodia that offers an enchanting escape from the usual tourist crowds. During my visit, I found myself wandering through its serene landscapes with only a handful of fellow travelers. The hike to the summit is well worth it, as the panoramic views are simply breathtaking. Be sure to dress respectfully and allocate enough time for your journey; if you forget water, there are plenty of local shops selling refreshments like cold coconuts and sodas.
A perfect setting to see one of natures outstanding performance. The bats exit via a cut in the side of the hill at dusk. Plenty of food stalls set up aling the road with spectacular views of two carvings of Buddah. Well worth the visit. We went by TukTuk with Mr Polo. $15 with a few points of interest along the way.

Very relaxing atmosphere in the morning before noon. No bats flying at this time but still an enjoyable time spent with local vendors and locals. I will definitely return to Phnom Sampow. 😊🙏🪷

Two options to head up, walk or hire motorcycle to take you up or down. Spectacular view when you reach the summit. Buddhist temples are lined along the way

Due to the low season or perhaps due to not many people travelling to Cambodia knowing this gem but apart from very few, there were no tourists . It was a nice and enjoyable stroll around and is definitely worth the hike up . The views from the top absolutely breathtaking . Allow a good amount of time to get there , and wear respectful clothes . If you forget your water, there are many shops around selling water and soda as well as cold coconuts . In the evening, many street food vendors arrive, but they leave the moment the bats start to fly out of the cave.
Ewa T — Google review
Take the time it is with the trip, quick tip unless you want to hike to the top, pay the fee, ask for a guide and drive to the top, there is enough walking once you get to the top. You don’t really need to hike up there, unless that’s your thing. Enjoy 😊

Beautiful hill. The view from the pagoda at the top is absolutely spectacular. Bring sunscreen and prepare to walk a lot! The Killing Caves are on the way up and worth a look. There are two other caves as well, but they can be really slippery inside and a bit muddy, so be prepared if you go!
Brendan S — Google review
If you enjoy immersing yourself in culture and temples, this is worth a visit! Although the bats weren't as visible as I hoped, I really enjoyed seeing the temples, climbing in and out of caves, and saying hi to the kids! Navigating the caves: To enter the bat cave area, it's 1USD - and you may be offered to navigate around the cave via motorbike (3USD per person) or a truck (10USD total) but this can fit up to 12 people. Don't be frightened if the locals say it takes 1hr 30mins to hike up, it only takes 20 mins to walk up, although just note that within the caves, you'll also be doing some climbing 🤭 About the food vendors: Just a note, the local vendors can get quite angsty and aggressive if you sit on their tables (the ones you watch the bats from) without ordering! If you do order, avoid the food on the grills and just get something canned or packed. Hygiene at the bat cave is 🤐

HUMAN GALLERY - Joseba Etxebarria Photography is a captivating collection of human portraits captured by the renowned photographer during his four-year global bicycle journey. Located in a century-old house in Battambang, the gallery showcases photographs categorized by the continents they were taken on. Joseba's compelling story and his commitment to supporting underprivileged children add depth to the experience. Visitors can hear firsthand accounts of the people behind the portraits and learn about Joseba's philanthropic efforts.
If you do anything in Battambang, let it be this. Joseba’s story is incredible - one of unwavering compassion and commitment to support something so unbelievably important. The photographs are beautiful and paint a thousand stories themselves, but the most humbling part is just spending time talking to Joseba and understanding the work that his foundation does in supporting children from unimaginable circumstances. It would be hard for you to leave here without a changed perspective, and as somebody else wrote so eloquently in a previous review - a visit to this gallery truly does add colour to statistics that are often so black and white.
Lucinda B — Google review
What an amazing gallery. Joseba has an insane story and goes through everything from the people in the photos to the backstory in detail and so personally. He doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions and makes sure you get the most out of your experience. The photography is inspiring, I couldn’t recommend this enough. Please support this gallery you won’t regret it🙏🏼

I visited The Human Gallery in Battambang yesterday and was deeply moved by the experience. Jose’s personal story is one of incredible strength, compassion, and resilience. As I walked through the gallery, I was in awe not only of his photography – which captures the beauty, struggle, and humanity of life in Cambodia and across the world – but also of the heart behind each image. Jose doesn’t just share his photos; he opens his life, his journey, and his mission to everyone who walks through the door. It opened my eyes to the kind of meaningful impact one person can have, and it’s inspired me to think more deeply about the work I want to do in the future to help others. It’s heartbreaking to hear that due to funding issues and a drop in tourism, the gallery – and the children’s foundation Jose has also set up – are at risk of closing. This space is a rare gem, both emotionally and artistically, and we desperately need more people like Jose in the world. Thank you, Jose, for your honesty, your vulnerability, and for creating such a powerful space for reflection and connection. I will forever remember my time at The Human Gallery.
Ruby R — Google review
My partner and I visited Joseba’s Human Gallery in July 2023. We highly recommend coming here if you have an hour or two in Battambang. Joseba, the photographer, personally met us and shared his story about traveling around the world (including Africa, India, and Southeast Asia) to meet and photograph people from 2010-2022, of which seven of these years were on bicycle and many years were working with UNICEF. His story is inspirational and we loved his photos - particularly his portrait photos of people around the developing world. We decided to purchase two larger photos for our home because they were beautiful and compelling. Joseba donates proceeds from photo sales towards education for disadvantaged children near Battambang, and you can donate directly as well. This visit was very worthwhile for us and we were glad we went!

A beautiful gallery full of incredible photos taken by the passionate joseba on his journey of biking around the world for human justice. Joseba’s heart has been captured by Cambodia and he offers a unique insight into the good and bad of local life. Well worth visiting and supporting his work for the benefit of Cambodian children affected by abuse and violence.

If you're in the area, this place is a must. For a donation, you get a powerful, honest experience. The gallery is beautiful, the story telling from the owner will hit you in the chest, and the owner—one of the most genuine people we've met—tells you exactly where your money goes. You’ll get free cold water refills, complimentary rice wine, and a glimpse into something truly meaningful. Sadly, he told us he might have to shut down within the month. Go visit and support if you can. This place deserves it.

A eye-opening and heart-warming must-see in Battambang. Joseba is very personable and he will show you around the gallery. His journey is epic and salutary.
Wimarshana W — Google review
We were really glad we stopped by the gallery. You don’t always expect the photographer to be present, but Joseba greeted us warmly, and very kindly explained his story and answered any questions about the photos. We stayed for two hours in the end, so many of the photos are very powerful and moving that I felt I could just stare at some of them. Of course it’s very interesting to chat to Joseba also, he’s had an adventurous life and has a lot of stories to tell! The gallery is an excellently renovated colonial building which is lovely in itself. Finally the prints are great quality and we ended up getting 10 of them to post to friends and just for ourselves. Probably the best thing we did in Battambang!

The Angkor Express Boat, operated by Khmer locals since 2002, offers round-trip rides between Penh and Siem Reap as well as Siem Reap and Battambang in Cambodia. It's best experienced from August to February when the Mekong River water levels are high. The journey provides a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of Tonle Sap Lake and the bustling life of floating villages along the river.
We took the ferry from Siem Reap to Battambang. A very nice way (but not very comfortable) to combine transport and sightseeing. It toon us 6.5 hours. Mostly cruising the river with the busy life of the floating villages and friendly waving locals. The boat does look different than on the website😏. It is very noisy so take earplugs. There is a simple toilet and they stop at a floating shop half way for 20 minutes if you fancy fried Rice.. ticket 30 usd and sometimes they can puck you up at your hotel.
Claudine M — Google review
I love boats and I love the water but this trip was not a favourite and I'd recommend a different mode of transport between Siem Reap and Battambang. Seeing the floating communities and locals transferred via their small boats to and from the ferry was great but the length of the trip at over 6 hrs and the small size of the ferry are negatives plus at times it sounded like the engine was going to die completely! It was not in a great state of repair with loose wires hanging off! Its a narrow boat to negotiate some of the tight waterways it has to travel but it means you dont have much legroom from those across from you and the bench seats just have a thin cushion so not very comfortable. We stopped after 4 hrs for a lunch break but the food did not look great so I bought some packet items. There is a very small toilet on board that you kind of have to back into as its such a low ceiling. At Battambang we stopped well outside of town and had to disembark onto a muddy riverbank as it seems the local government has built a dam further upstream and banned boats from travelling further! Not sure if this is temporary or long term. As a result its a USD5 Tuk Tuk into town
David S — Google review
The price proposed by this company for the boat transfer from Siem Reap to Battambang (or the other way) is really expensive compared to normal prices to the normal counter office, and even much more expensive than prices for local people. And absolutely no service justifying this price. A scam!
Devy J — Google review
Interesting journey! See the floating villages! But seats are incredibly uncomfortable. The 6 hour journey took seven hours. Watch out for this unscrupulous tuk-tuk driver at the Battambang end! Not recommended to hire him for any length of journey. He's unnaturally happy, but his follow-up sales tactics leave much to be desired.
Gerry C — Google review
It was a good way of getting close to the floating villages AND getting from Siem Reap to Battambang. It took us close to 9h in end of February 2020 due to dry season and we couldn't reach Battambang but stopped before it. No aircondition but airstream from boat speed (23km/h max). Boat had sun roof and a small hole-in-the-flor toilet. No drinks provided on board. If you are looking for "local-kind-of-adventure" this is EXACTLY your thing. If not go by bus. Startet at ~7am in Siem Reap by getting picked up at the hotel with a pick up truck (with what else?! 😁😁 ) Drove probably 40min to an harbor outside of Siem (at Siem Reap River). Went over the TonleSap to Sangker River. Lots of floating villages on this riverside. Nice to watch. 👍😎 Had "lunch" at 12 in boat stop. You might want to bring your own lunch. After the lunch break the rivers gotten thiner and driving was not easy anymore. Jurney got a bit boring. Reached a place close to Battambang finally at ~4pm. There a tuktuk has to be taken and paid to get to your hotel (paid 5$).
Schorsch S — Google review
Attention fraud! you get thrown off the boat 20km from Siem Reap in no man's land. Everything arranged. tuk tuk drivers are waiting on site and charge $5 per person to be taken to Siem reap. there are no other ways to get there. There is also no internet to call a vehicle with the Pass app. The boat it also not the same like on the picture.
Aiken A — Google review
For me it is fraud! I bought tickets from Battambang to Siem Reap. But, the driver stopped about 20km before Siem Reap, everyone had to get out and walk to the already waiting tuk tuks. For an inflated price you have to be driven into town for another $5. So in total I paid 35 euros for 6,5 hours on a small boat on which you can not move, with a short stopover and with fraud later.
Iona L — Google review
Echo what everyone else has said. Wish I read these before travelling. It too us 11 hours door to door between BB and SR and cost $30 for first transfer and boat trip. They dropped us off 39 minutes away from SR and we had to take the tuk tuks available. They started at $8 each but when we complained dropped to $6 each. Just be aware before you book. It is a long and uncomfortable trip. The scenery is lovely but only for the first couple of hours. Then it becomess boring.
