Amazing palace, a must visit when you are around. The garden is precious and highly recommended to spend some time outside. The sculptures as well as the plants and flowers are beautiful. The design of the landscape is so cool. Plus, the restaurant is also very good with a scenic view.

Arguably the most magnificent palace in the Netherlands and it is easily reachable by public transport. It's massive so you really need a full day to explore the palace AND the fabulous gardens. Everything is breathtaking!

Its a great place to visit. The tours inside the palace are nice. You can do a tour with a book so you can read from a folder you can get at the start or do an audio tour. Then the gardens are amazing especially when the weather is in your favor. Parking is close and not expensive (€8 for the day day)

Nice to see inside what furniture and style is in every room. Gardens are nice. But comparing to some other palaces and castles this one is not my top. But it is nice. What I loved is a restaurant inside where they have high tea, really nice design. And nice terrace outdoor. Plus they have some activities like archery or some other games that make you feel like you travel back in time.

The graden at the Palace is super cool. There are different types of plants, labelled. A lot of mini activities for kids for example archery. Coming to palace itself, it was pretty awesome. A lot of rooms to explore, though some of the floors are not meant for visitors. The roof is accessible as well via a lift - and there can be queues at the lift. Outside the palace, at the initial entrance, there are some historical artifacts to explore as well like the cars driven by the Royals and other stuff. Would like to complement the staff, who are really nice and approachable.

Second time visiting after more than 5 years. A great destination to visit with family or friends. A great day out to visit not only the palace but also the garden, the antique cars & carriages collection and the exhibitions. Good facility for visitors such as the toilets, lockers, parking, etc.

We didn’t go inside the palace, but with such beautiful weather we didn’t mind at all. The terrace was a lovely spot to sit, and the gardens are truly worth the visit : peaceful, well kept, and full of charm.

Amazing experience. If you have a stroller, they will get on the stroller. They provide free anti-primate bags to put your stuff in. You get to be so close to the animals! There are activities throughout the park to keep kids entertained and engaged. As well as fun facts and other educational things along the way.

Apenheul is a beautiful park with great visibility of the monkeys and superb, friendly staff. The landscaping is lovely, and the whole place feels clean and well-kept. The only downside: the paper maps often end up soggy in the water, which makes things messy — a digital app or clearer route signs would be a big improvement. Avoid going in the summer break — it’s just too crowded and very loud. For children who get easily overstimulated, a weekday in low season is a much better choice. The food is below average, even though there are plenty of food squares to choose from. The park also has several playgrounds that are both challenging and fun for younger kids, which is a real plus for families. The walk through the park is long but very scenic if you enjoy nature. Parking looks like it could be chaotic on busy days, but thanks to the staff’s excellent handling and clear protocols, there’s really no room for chaos — they keep everything moving smoothly. One tip: don’t bring small items in your pockets (sunglasses, phones, etc.). Consider adding a small travel lock to your bag, otherwise you’ll be required to carry one of the free Apenheul monkey-proof bags. They’re big enough, but when packed too heavy, they can become a real strain on your shoulders. All in all, a beautifully maintained park with wonderful staff and a unique experience — best enjoyed outside peak season.

Apenheul is an absolutely amazing place — it’s worth visiting Apeldoorn just for this park! The entire experience was fantastic. Even on a very hot day, the park feels pleasant and refreshing thanks to the tall trees and natural shade everywhere. You can walk among various monkey species freely, and it’s incredible how close you can get to them while still respecting their space. The animals seem very well cared for, which really adds to the experience. One small downside: the video shown during the gorilla feeding session was only in Dutch with German subtitles. It would have been more inclusive if English subtitles were also available. The live presentation was also in Dutch, but considering that most visitors are from the Netherlands and many are children, it’s understandable. If you’re anywhere nearby, I highly recommend visiting. A truly unique and enjoyable experience!

We visited Apenheul and absolutely loved it. The monkeys are adorable 😍🐒 and you can see many of them up close as they move freely around the park. There are also other animals, like capybaras. The whole park is very well equipped, with plenty of rest areas and even sunscreen dispensers available throughout. Everything is clean, well maintained, and organized. The staff is friendly, very attentive to both visitors and the animals, always ready to help. The gorilla presentation was a real highlight. It’s definitely a great place for families with children, but we’re a couple in our twenties and we had a fantastic time too 😊😊

Apenheul – Where the Monkeys Are Better Behaved Than Some Visitors Apenheul was pure magic. The park (and the nearby public park) is spotless, beautifully kept, and just a short walk from a spacious parking area. The real highlight? Dozens of monkey species roaming free, completely at ease – it’s like stepping into their world instead of peering at them from behind glass. At the entrance, you get a free monkey-proof bag to protect your belongings from curious little hands. You can skip it if you’ve already made your own “thief-proof” setup (think carabiners locking your zippers) – but trust me, the monkeys will test your security system. Friendly staff are everywhere, making sure both monkeys and humans stay safe – a small miracle considering there are still the occasional unsupervised kids and the inevitable wheeled trailers people insist on dragging along. The feeding sessions are a must. Check the website or park guide for times – you’ll learn a lot and it’s a joy to watch. Huge applause for the staff, who clearly care deeply for the animals and create an experience that feels respectful, educational, and unforgettable.

Amazing experience. It was a bit crowded, but there wasnt a long wait to get in. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The habitats were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Very educational and unlike any "zoo" experience I've had in the past.

Incredible experience! So much amazing history to discover and many interactive exhibits like the weavers and the blacksmiths. The grounds are stunning and expansive. You can tour the grounds on the trolley which is super fun for kids. There is an entire section of the ground dedicated to kids activities. The restaurant and Cafe was really nice with many vegan options including pastries! The gift shop is very nice with many good Dutch gifts.

In my opinion the best museum in the Netherlands, bar none. Well worth the ticket price and whatever the train costs coming here. The entire museum is extremely well maintained. Facilities are unbelievably sanitary. The food served in the "restaurant corner" of the museum is reasonably priced and mouth-watering good. The fries are a must try. The exhibits offer a detailed look into history, with content written in both Dutch and English. The experience is thoughtfully divided into sectors, each containing exhibits from different time periods. Historic trams run frequent headways in a circular route around the museum. These are free to board and a wonderful way to have a look around. Of course, the museum is 100% walkable. 10/10 experience. The day went by in a flash - will be back.

The Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem is a fantastic destination for families with children. The open layout gives kids plenty of space to run and explore, and there’s something exciting to discover around every corner—from old windmills and traditional farmhouses to vintage trams that take you around the museum grounds. It feels like stepping into a living storybook of Dutch history. What really makes it special for children is how interactive and hands-on everything is. There are live demonstrations of old crafts like weaving, blacksmithing, and even bread baking—many of which kids can try themselves. Throughout the museum, staff dressed in historical clothing bring the past to life with friendly explanations and fun activities. There’s also a playground area and child-friendly exhibits that keep little ones engaged and curious. The museum is very well-organized, with clean facilities, family-friendly paths for strollers, and several places to eat or picnic. It’s the kind of place where both kids and adults can learn, play, and enjoy a full day outdoors together. If you’re visiting the Netherlands with your family, this museum is an absolute must-see!

Lovely place in Holland. If you have the museum card and you go with your family, this is a great place to spend the day at. The nature is beautiful, the tram is fun for the kids, you could see farm animals and enjoy the different family activities. I love the Dutch concept of having open air museums where you can see the history of the country.

Beautiful museum about Dutch history and how people were living in the past century. We visited during a busy weekend but because the size of the park it does not feel crowded. A tram can be used to travel quickly from one location to another. Not only the buildings are in perfect condition, but also the landscape, the gardens, the trams etc. are well maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited on our way from Germany to the ferry from Europort. It's a lovely place for a few hours, lots to see. Very knowledgeable staff/volunteers to tell you about the life etc.

For peaceful weekends, I recommend to visit here. It was an impressive and pleasant sightseeing.

This is a wonderful zoo, one of the best I have visited in Europe. The forest in the middle of the park is amazing and very diverse in terms of plants and animals, and there's also a waterfall. A lot of animals had newborns, which was very cute. The sea zone was very beautiful, of course limited in size as it is not the main focus of the park (if you like water animals, make sure you visit the one in Barcelona). Downsides: too many people which created crowds, and no staff around the park to help.

Such a beautiful and fun zoo! Would definitely recommend for adults and for children. As an adult that likes to go to zoo’s that are not just for kids, this is a great pick! A full day is needed to visit here and be prepared for different types of biomes, this is the most interesting ! There are restaurants located around, and I would recommend the Bush restaurant! The food is quite pricy for what it is.

Amazing!!! The first steps didn’t seem like it will be much yet quickly we realized how well thought is whole place. Really you see the animals and theirs wellbeing is the highest priority. Still all is designed in such smart way that you able to observe them in awe! True treat for families but I guess it’s also a great idea for a date or solo experience. Enjoyed tons🙌🏼 There are parts of it fully in dome that creates full experience of natural habitats- if you don’t look up it’s easily to feel like in a jungle or on some tropical place. Amazing!

I went their with my wife and daughter( 2 years old). The park has huge car parking (paid) with electric car chargers. Overall the park is huge and very well built. There are enough benches to sit and observe. The observation decks are very well positioned, and the safari restaurant has amazing views of the African safari lands. Their is great variety of food options, even for kids. The food was lekker. Overall the entire experience was just amazing.

This was a wonderful zoo experience. One the rare “cageless” habitats and it was wonderful to see the animals roam around in rather large habitats. Beautifully designed, and aesthetically pleasing. Parking costs 9 EUR and approx 29 EUR for a single ticket for adults. It can take somewhere between 3-4 hours to leisurely see all exhibits

It is an interesting Zoo which offers animal as much nature space as possible. With the map you can explore all different parts of the zoo. But with the open nature it also creates some challenges, it might be sometime difficult to trace where the animals are, which brings down the experience slightly. Quite some food choices inside the canteen and plenty of paid parking space inside as well

Great park for adults too. Came on a Saturday in August and was crowded but not crazy. We bought the gold pass at the entrance and probably could have done it with the silver one. Queues were okay and with the fast lane app it’s very easy to book a slot and wait outside until time goes to zero (maximum we waited was 3 minutes in the timer), then you go in. We enjoyed a lot, there are 5-6 big attractions and a lot for kids too. Food offer is a bit unhealthy and expensive but as usual in theme parks. Parking was 12€.

We visited this place in Khalovin. We had a lot of fun and a bit of fear. The kids enjoyed the ride. It takes almost a day to fully enjoy it. We arrived in the evening, and four hours wasn't enough; the lines were long, with wait times of 40 minutes or more.

We came here for the Halloween stuff and for the rides. First negative we found was the parking situation. Literally the worst parking we have ever seen!! Making cars park 3 in a line so you have towns of three cars which means if the person behind you hasn’t gone you’re stuck!! It was muddy and horrible. The bridge across the road is a dumb idea. Fairly easy to get in. The place was quiet at the beginning of the day. I did buy fast lanes so that we didn’t have to queue so long. I did buy fast recommend that. The place gets packed later and it’s awful. They oversell tickets and you cannot move. I bought RIP passes for the fright night experiences and I recommend you do the same if you want to see them all. The walkthroughs and haunted houses are ruined by security guards everywhere. The place is poorly signposted, the maps are all but useless. It’s dirty. The foods expensive but we expect that at these places. The rides are really good though, cannot fault them. Staff were friendly. Would I come back…yes but not at Halloween. Wear old shoes because the place is caked in mud this time of year.

Walibi Holland is a great park for thrill seekers; it has some seriously strong roller coasters that deliver real intensity and smooth rides. The park is clean and well run, though wait times can be long and food is pricey. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I'm only giving this many stars because my family had fun on the rides. I've developed some phobias in my middle age years and I just go for the vibes, the slushies, etc. But let me paint a picture. Thursday was the only day we could go this vacation. I had to work late and only got 3 hrs sleep. I rolled from my bed with some string cheese and a croissant to start my long day knowing I'd get lunch at the park. So many food options it seemed, pasta.. How nice! Yet... Everything was closed except for donuts, toasties, fries, fried snacks... Even the slushy machines were off most places and when I finally found a place with slushy, the cup with lid and plastic straw were sold out. False advertising, no? Honestly, I'd like a refund for just my ticket.. Ridiculous to not have more open especially during a school holiday. We left early because we were hungry.

We a family of 4 really enjoyed staying our 3 days 2 nights in Walibi. The bungalow areas are Quiet, relaxing, lots of trees(pine) clean. Bungalow is big enough, kitchen facilities is complete though we spent more in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.. Whats less point and annoying is there's only 1 toilet paper, floor is sticky, dust everywhere, bed can be better but i, we slept good. Well we're all day outside so. .. We did a promo, 2nd day in park is free wich we enjoyed and pure fun for my kids. Though they only had 1 pool, its smaller than I thought my kids enjoyed swimming/playing. They offer really good menu in the restaurant, good quality food. The burger and salad, kip shoutout to the cook, 5star. Helpful, friendly staff (reception and resto. We're surely coming back.

Went to Walibi fright nights and had a blast! I loved the thematic decorations. I have been the past 6 years every year to fright nights and this was the first time that the cues for the attractions were below 30 min waiting time. On top of this it was also the first time I could enter a haunted house with just the 4 of us. (The years prior there was always a stream of people walking through them causing you to miss all the scares) One minor point though, I would like Walibi to have one night where the scares actors aren’t confined to their zones but are allowed to roam the whole park. I just think fright nights would really be scary this way.

It is a good experience for a day at the weekend to spend here. I will not say this has the best aquatic ecosystem or animals here, but it is decent. The dolphin show is great among all the shows. The other shows are also decent. We had a good time here. You will find water slides here so it could be a good time to spend in hot summer. You have the beach access for bathing and other fun activities.

Park is smack in the middle of city center. It's much smaller than I remembered. Still a lovely vibe in the park. Loads of playgrounds for the kids. Dolphin show is absolutely amazing. Food is a bit overpriced for what is offered. When finished seeing the animals and playtime is over you can enjoy walking in town after.

We had such a great day here. For the price you pay this is such good value. There are shows with the sea lions and dolphins through the day. Plenty for the children to play on. The water park was loads of fun for my boys, with some great shoots. A member of staff took time to talk to us so we gain a good insight to looking after the dolphins. The virtual reality part was uber cool. The park, in true Dutch style, is very well run. Would seriously recommend for all.

It was really great, the dolphins looked amazing. The staff seems to take really good care of the animals. There where also other animals and we really enjoyed them to. The food was good but a little pricey! And bathroom looked so good either way al those pictures of dolphins!!! We’ll come back for sure!!!!!!

A wonderful place for children and not only. The shows are scheduled in such a way that you don't miss any of them. I recommend it for a relaxing day!

Waste of time and money. You go there to see dolphins and anyway you look at them on the screen!!!!!?? Shows were very short. I came here to see dolphins live and they forced us to look on them on the screen and turned off the lights to not see dolphins in the pool during that!!! Underground exposition was very poor and hard to see anything. Water transparency 0.5m... They sent us to the furthest parking lot even though there were free spaces near the dolphinarium. NOTHING SPECIAL...

We had a wonderful time at Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen! It’s a truly beautiful zoo – very clean, well-maintained, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed and spacious. Of course, the highlights were the pandas and koalas, but we were also really impressed by the huge bear forest with a kind of hanging bridge that lets you walk above the enclosure – such a unique and beautiful experience! What made it extra special for us was how family-friendly the park is. There are several playgrounds throughout the zoo, and the giant indoor playground was the absolute highlight for our son. Honestly, that alone would have made the visit worth it! It was quite busy during our visit (summer holiday season), but there were plenty of parking spaces, and the great thing is that the parking is right next to the zoo – no long walk required. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was the lack of English translations. While we didn’t expect everything to be in German, it would’ve been great to have English descriptions alongside the Dutch animal information signs. Also, the zoo map was only available in Dutch, which made it a bit harder to navigate or understand the details. In most German zoos, having English maps and signs is quite common nowadays, so we missed that here. Still, it’s a fantastic zoo overall, and we highly recommend a visit – especially for families!

Went on a weekday in November, pretty quiet. Even though it is not one of those big zoos we spent a good 6 hours there and still did not get bored. The kids liked especially the big covered playground area, which I understood was the biggest in Europe for a while (maybe it still is). Nice one which I would like to visit again.

This is a fantastic zoo. We had a fab day. Some of the enclosures are so well thought out, especially the bears with a kid's rope bridge to walk above them. The play area is the best I've ever seen too. Amazing day out, would definitely recommend.

Went with my boyfriend and had a pretty decent time there. We got the day pass + night light ticket, and here is our experience: Staff: 5/5 Everybody was very friendly & helpful and they were everywhere so if you have a question or need help they’re always there Vibes: 4/5 They put a lot of effort in decorating the zoo so it has a nice ambiance & the enclosures were pretty decent. Toilets were clean despite how crowded it was! The light attractions were also really pretty & you can see nocturnal animals starting their day after 5 pm Animals: 2/5 Nothing I’ve never seen before except for the pandas & polar bear. The pandas were adorable, but they seem super bored & there’s a lack of interaction between the zookeepers and these pandas. They were just kind of left there like a goldfish in a bowl… Same with the elephants. We saw them literally plucking grass in their enclosure because of how bored they were. They should learn a thing or two from more interactive zoos like Bali Zoo where they allow feeding sessions (they sold carrots that we could feed to the elephants & we had breakfast with orangutans) so the more intelligent animals don’t go crazy bored in their enclosures. They need intellectual stimulation too!! The worst part that kind of ruined the day for me was the single polar bear. I don’t know the story behind why that ice-bear is in the middle of Netherlands, but the bear was clearly depressed (& probably way too hot). The polar bear enclosure looked unkept and it had a pool completely green & filled with algae, so it can’t even swim to cool off. Even if the polar bear was under rehabilitation for something, it deserves a cleaner enclosure (and a proper way to cool off, especially in the summer!) Tbh I think it’s better off to send the polar bear to a zoo somewhere with a more comfortable climate for them, like maybe Finland or Norway. Polar bears shouldn’t live out in the open in such a hot European climate when they’re used to -20 degrees Celsius or less (imagine being forced to live somewhere where it’s 20 degrees Celsius hotter than what you’re used to). I find it ironic that they claim to be an ‘Arctic Ambassador’ when their polar bear is so sadly curled up in the corner like that… Food: 3/5 Standard zoo food. They sell snackbar foods like burgers & frikandel. A bit overpriced for what they are so I suggest to bring your own food and drinks to the park (yes, they allow this) Others: They have a designated playground area for children and they tried to put a frog enclosure next to the playground. The frogs were nowhere to be seen Overall: 3/5 Pretty good zoo for children but the condition of their animals is slightly worrying

Nice fashion outlet with many famous brands. On Sundays are also open till 20:00 which is great! Toilets are clean considering that the place welcome many people. There are also different spots where kids can play while parents are shopping and not get bored. The outlet offers many restaurants/cafes. From time to time they have themes like this time is Mickey Mouse which fun.

Very well-organized shopping center. It really has almost everything you need. A visit is definitely worth it.

Nice place for an ‘uitje’ or in other words, outing. The parking here costs about EUR 5 for the day. The prices at this outlet are pretty decent. If you’re lucky, you might get crazy discounts.

It was a great space and good and professional people there. The only thing was that when you enter there is something that smells bad.

Very clean and easy to access via public transport. Good for shopping, even has a Primark. You can grab some smoke from the little boat cafes Nd enjoy a walk along the cannel. Beautiful little town with friendly people.

You can find what you need in here. Clothing to grocery, there's even a big asian market. This is a safe place to hang around, until the stores close. I do not recommend staying here after 8 pm because it might not be safe. Other than that, it is a good place for your needs.

Great place more like city downtown with shopping street. Quite vibrant during the day. However, recently noticed some homeless folks scavenging during the night time which is a bit concerning.

Beautiful cathedral! Lovely to walk around in. The staff was a bit dismissive when we asked about the grave of Hieronymus Bosch. They don’t know where he was buried but he was carried out of the church after his funeral, for which there is a stone to commemorate in one of the doorways.

Very beautiful inside and outside. You get a spiritual feeling when going through the inside of the Cathedral. Its just magnificent, you just have to experience it yourself

The enormous St John's Cathedral was stunning outside and beautiful inside. As always, learning the history and focusing in on all or the intricate details is amazing.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals of the Netherlands with a huge organ; the colored windows are amazing. You can walk to the top and have a beautiful view over Den Bosch. In and outside the architecture is stunning and overwhelming

Beautiful church building in the centre of the old town. Hard to believe that it is 800 years old. Must visit when you are in Den Bosch!

The Noordbrabants Museum is a really cool place to visit. I love how they mix traditional art with more modern and unexpected historical pieces. One of the things that stood out to me was seeing items that were part of everyday life not too long ago but are now considered history—like the first Apple computer. It’s fascinating to see how things evolve over time. The museum also has an impressive collection of paintings, including works by Van Gogh, Picasso, and other great artists. Walking through the galleries, I felt like I was experiencing both classic masterpieces and surprising bits of modern history all in one place. It’s definitely a museum worth visiting!

A beautiful Dutch museum. There is a hall telling the history of the museum, some historic work and a lot of modern works. There was also a performance in the museum when I visited it. I enjoyed the visit a lot. Thanks a lot to the very friendly people working there.

Excellent museum, and a must-go-to if one is in Den Bosch. They have special exhibits every month or so, which I don’t usually care for; but the permanent collection is incredible and alone a reason to visit. The building is beautiful; it is like an old mansion, with gorgeous rooms to hold the still more gorgeous art. One could spend hours here. There is a cafe as well, which has delicious donuts from the famous Jan de Groot cafe. Eating them here has the added bonus that one does not need to spend ages waiting in line for the Jan de Groot cafe. Please be aware that service can be slow. But who goes to an art museum who is in a hurry! I highly recommend this gem of a museum. It is well worth the admission fee.

This is one of the best museums I've been to in the Netherlands. The experience of the journey it takes you through stays with you for days after your visit! I strongly reccomend the The Verhaal van Noord Brabant section 😌

Nice museum close to the StJans cathedral. The museum is located in a nice building. The standard exhibition has works from 1500-1950. Nice collection of works of Van Gogh. We visited the special exhibition: Brueghel the family reunion - Five generations under one roof.

Very nice museum, for both railway passionate and casual visitors. Very good for kids and families as well, however not very accessible for wheelchairs and strollers (for babies, consider a carrier). We loved everything about it, but would have appreciated some English descriptions, that were unfortunately missing. Will go back!

Such a cool place to visit with children of any age and even without. 🤓 Outside there’s a playground and you can also grab something to eat&drink. You can spend a full day here and not get bored.

Fantastic museum, and I’m an adult and not even a train fanatic. I can imagine bringing your kids here, they will have a blast. Very big museum in an old, fully restored to its old 1872 glory train station and yard, with many historic trains and carriages on tracks. Also various halls with train related themes, like model trains, engineering, virtual reality train ride, etc. For kids also a big playground outside. Cafe restaurant on its premise.

My new favourite place. It's unfair to compare railway museums but this is the best one I have found so far. Gives the complete history of the railways in the Netherlands. Examples of old and new rolling stock. RECOMMEND ARRIVING BY RAIL - take a train to Utrecht Maliebaan station to avoid the expensive car parks (both on site and on street).

It's a great museum, interesting for adults and children alike, where everyone can have a lot of fun. There are many train carriages in perfect condition, and at Christmas they set up an ice rink. Highly recommended.

This museum is a veritable wonderland of railway history filled with old steam (and newish) diesel and electric locomotives, carriages, wagons, model trains, memorabilia, posters, etc that is worthy of at least a half day visit. And you don't have to be a passionate railway buff (like me) to enjoy the exhibits as families can entertain their children with lots of interactive gizmos and quizzes that are educational too! I simply cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this place and falling in love with trains! As well there are a cafe and museum shop and many external railway exhibits where, on a sunny day, the charming old signal box and water tower are a fitting backdrop to the locomotives.

Most fun family museum I've been. Beautiful spacious with lots of sighteeings and a very cool train simulator. Perfect for kids of all ages and cool for adults as well. Has an outside playground and place to sit indoor and outdoor with coffee and food

It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.

Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...

Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.

This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.

Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.

This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it. You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.

Must see if you visit Utrecht, the view from the tower is absolutely gorgeous and the story behind the tower is nice to hear. You can also do some exercising while enjoying the views. 🤓 Book a ticket in advance.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you

This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day. I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place. And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them. The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own. In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

Probably the most beautiful activity you can do when visiting Utrecht. Check their opening hours before you go. They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out. We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city. We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Sadly we can't have a pedalo since we are 2 adults and three kids, despite the fact that our small one would have had more than enough space to sit in the middle....

Always enjoy visiting here. I recommend to take the boat safari to the top of the park, see the birds of prey show (this is a must in my opinion) and then make your way back down the park. 1 star removed because of the restaurant. 1 person cooking per station during peak season really isn’t a good choice. The workers were incredibly stressed and the customers weren’t making their life easier by complaining. Otherwise the food was good.

Absolutely amazing place!! There’s so much stuff to do for kids, we were out from morning till 10pm at night. All of the staff was soo lovely and helpful and kind! Made us feel so welcome everywhere we went. Magical place full of activities, can’t believe I only just found this place! There’s safari park, beach with play park indoors and outdoors, swimming pools with slides, disco and shows for kids, you can hire bikes, kayaks, paddle boards or just chill in a super nice pub/restaurant while kids run around, it’s all secure and safe.

A perfect place to spend time with family or friends. This time we chose the walking option. We saw all the animals whose signs we passed. Although they have a lot of space, you can still see them in smaller or bigger groep. There are many places along the way where you can stop and sit for a moment. Honestly, I even felt a little sorry for those who chose the car safari when I saw the line of cars. It was a great time, and I think it won't be our last visit to this place.

Had so much fun here. There are many different kinds of animals from all over the world. The only think i did not like was the big birds in cages which should not be allowed. Otherwise it was most certainly worth the trip.

Wow. Words can't describe how amazing this place. Huge safari like in Africa, especially the rooms with animals view - amazing! Please note that the heating system not working 100% as expected, I was cold a little bit, especially in the bathroom and they doesn't have bathrobes. The breakfast is great! A plenty of things to do in the safari!

An unforgettable day at Beekse Bergen Safari Park! The safari experience is incredible seeing lions, giraffes, camels, and rhinos up close feels like being in Africa. The park is spacious, well organized and offers different ways to explore, from car to boat and bus. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is perfect for families or anyone who loves wildlife. A unique experience in the Netherlands that I highly recommend!!!!

Super Park. Sehr empfehlenswert. Nice Parc, very Clean and friendly Personal. Thr price is absolutly correct. It's all inclusive. Lunchtime ist good. Tickets online ist the best way, Its cheaper.

The Ziggo Dome is truly one of the best concert venues in the Netherlands. It’s super easy to reach by train or metro, and once inside everything runs smoothly, from the entrance to finding your seat. The sound is outstanding; you can tell the hall was built for music, as it’s clear and powerful no matter where you sit. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is always great. Food and drinks are on the expensive side, but facilities are clean and there’s plenty of choice. All in all, it’s a venue where concerts are experienced at their best and one you’ll be happy to return to.

The hall itself is enormous and remarkably well-ventilated. Although the temperature outside was past the 30°C mark, you wouldn't have known it once you were inside as the air was pleasantly cool. I was happy to finally get a break from this unbearable heat. I had a VIP ticket, so I was seated right at the front, directly in front of the stage. The seating consisted of rows of chairs, spaced with enough room in front of each so you could comfortably stand up when you wanted to (everyone stood up once the concert started, so you kinda didn't have any other choice, hahah). I have to deduct one star because the organization outside the venue was incredibly confusing. There were multiple entrances, each with its own queue, but nothing was clearly labelled. No one seemed to know where they were supposed to line up. I personally had to switch lines three (!) times before I finally ended up in the right one. Even the staff couldn't give clear directions when we asked for help. This wasn't just an issue for me and my companion. Many other visitors were just as lost. The organization definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but aside from that, everything else was top-notch. It's a great venue, and Ado's concert was lovely!!

Since this was been my workplace for many, many years, so I'm very biased. The venue is built for the ultimate accoustic experience - if band's sound technicians aren't too stubborn - and, biased again, staff is very friendly and helpful. This time as a guest for the Lindemann Meine Welt World tour, which is, shall I say, an experience, the venue was a bit too large for size. I've seen his show a couple of times in smaller venues, which makes the show more intense to attend (and ofcourse not for the faint of heart so not sold out in the business section) but nevertheless an absolute banger, and a great replacement of sorts when Rammstein's not touring. But Ziggodome still is the venue to see live shows, one of a kind. Even Radiohead said so !

Went to see The Offspring and opener act Simple Plan. Ziggo Dome is perceived as one of the country's most prestigious event venues and hosts many big names. We had a overall great experience, with P1 Arena parking being literally 2 minutes away of Ziggo Dome entrance. My only minor complaint would be the higher pitched sounds (some vocals but also guitars) sounded a bit distorted. I checked my phone and DB was around 75-80 most of the time (middle of first ring). If they can fix that I'd rate it 5/5. A beer is 7 euros and a cola 4.30, just event venue prices.

I have only been to concerts in Cyprus and Israel. But Ziggo Domes system for the queues was unbelievable and it helped the whole experience to be way more smooth. Not the biggest arena but great sound! The AC was amazing. We were also wecolmed with a complimentary drink!

Nice venue for a large gathering to watch a band. Had seats facing the stage, which was a nice view. Some lockers outside the location to place items in, or a coat check inside. Both for fees. We had dinner above before we went in, a lovely meal! And was perfectly timed to then walk directly into the venue with a very short security line. Very friendly staff to help direct crowds, and parking was very easy to navigate.

Awsome arena for concerts. We went to see Symphonica in Rosso with Eros Ramazotti. Great concert 🤩

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations. There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks. It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo. In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park. I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner). Thank you Efteling!

It is ok for families with kids between 5 and 10. Probably also for people between 20 and 25 who are seeking gor a bit of adrenaline. Food prices are ok All in all, if you live at maximum 250 km is a good place to spend a nice day.

Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.

Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.

Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this! Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient. One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!

A bit crowded and long queues compared to other parks, but it is worth it. Many people prefer new rollercoasters, which are nice of course, but in my opinion joris and the draak is still one of the best: longer ride and many turns, plus the waiting line moves faster.

An incredible day out. Beautifully designed and perfect for kids We spent a full day at Efteling (10am–7:30pm) with our two young children and honestly, it was amazing. The park is huge and much bigger than Disney in terms of space, but it never felt overwhelming. There are so many rides, attractions, and beautifully landscaped areas to explore. Despite it being August and around 25°C, we barely queued the longest we waited was 30 minutes for the train (we'd just missed it), but everything else was under 10 minutes, including the pedal trains, a few dark rides, and Carnaval Festival. What really sets Efteling apart is the atmosphere: peaceful, whimsical, and full of little pockets where you can sit, eat, or just wander in the shade. It felt like a fairytale world that hadn’t been turned into a shopping centre. One big downside though – no water fountains anywhere. Coming from the UK where free tap water is a given, this was a bit of a shock. The day before in Belgium we were told off for asking to fill our bottles at a soft play, so luckily we had our Yeti flasks with us at Efteling – they just about lasted the day. Would 100% go back – totally magical and very thoughtfully put together. Oh and the pancake restaurant is so charming. And the fountain show is a brilliant way to end the day!

Great location… 5 min walk from the Central station and 7-10 minutes walk to the centrum including the RLD and even Dam square. The location is unbeatable! The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The rooms are a tiny bit small but acceptable for one person.. It would have been tight for a couple but acceptable for Europe. The bathroom is ok and they have decent toiletries. Very clean rooms. The service is good but not consistent. They offer water for the coffee machine but they don’t replenish them! I had to ask and make my coffee with tap water, which I understand is clean in Amsterdam. The views from the rooms are nice. There is an excellent buffet breakfast, it was included so I don’t know the price.. The coffee declined in quality as the days went by, I don’t know why.. it’s not good coffee but the rest of the food is decent and included bircher muesli, cereal station, Goji Berries etc..they also prepare eggs on demand. Overall very nice hotel..

Outstanding stay! Everything was 10/10. The location is perfect, offering easy access to everything. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. My partner and I agree: We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Amsterdam! Highly recommended!

The hotel itself is nice, but the food and drink service let it down. At breakfast, I left my phone and earphones on a clean table by the river while I went to get food. When I came back, they were gone. A member of staff had picked them up and told me I had to move because that area was “closed”, even though other guests were still seated there. I was moved to a dirty, cramped table with no clean cutlery, surrounded by loud families and away from the window. I then had to find another table myself, and by the time I did, my food was cold and had to be replaced. A few minutes later, another guest was seated at my original table by a different staff member. My belongings should also never have been removed and put into a staff member’s pocket. At the rooftop bar, drink service was very slow. Later that night we tried to return, but were refused entry even though there were still 20–25 minutes until closing and other guests were inside. We then bought drinks from the hotel shop, only to be told we couldn’t sit in the lobby and had to go to our rooms. On the positive side, the location is great, check-in staff were friendly, and the room was upgraded with no issues. Concierge was friendly and helped with a good dinner booking.

The Doubletree is a very good hotel in central Amsterdam, The place it's not the best neighborhood to stay in the city, since it is by the central station, but it is very convenient. We had a room with a very nice view to the canal, small but quiet. The wifi works great, the pillows are not what you would expect from this kind of hotels and the light in the room could have some improvement it is too dark!! The breakfast buffet is delicious, with plenty of different food to choose from.

We’ve stayed here a few times, it’s a great location next to the station and the trams, also a little away from the busiest areas so you can come back here and chill if you want to. Rooms are excellent, comfortable and quiet. Staff are super helpful. Don’t miss the rooftop bar.

I'll make a long and unpleasant story short so that you understand my fury. I booked a stay at the Amsterdam Doubletree in Centraal station from 21-30Dec2025. I booked your hotel and not an Air BnB specifically because your hotel had A/C. I was given a room with a poorly-functioning A/C. When I complained on day 2, after spending the night sweating through my sheets, I was told they'd handle it. They did not. Complaints on days 3 through 5 via both phone and request at the front desk yielded no repairs and no new room. On day 6 (that Monday) I went down and demanded a new room, which I received. During those first 5 days I was at a conference. Due to lack of sleep because of the warm room, I was unable to take full advantage of the knowledge presented. Additionally, my time with my friends was curtailed because I was tired and spent time napping in their rooms at other hotels that had functioning A/C. This is the SECOND vacation this hotel has ruined due to maintenance issues; on the first one the shower was clogged for 3 days and not fixed, so I had to take a shower / stay at other friends' places. I get a vacation on average about every 2.5-3 years, and this hotel has managed to almost ruin both. I will never again stay at a Hilton hotel for foreign travel and will discourage anyone I know from utilizing your chain. Lifetime Diamond status doesn't appear to get you any additional consideration, and now you've got some kind of new Tier that I'm supposed to strive for. If I do any more tier-advancing, I'm going to do it with Mariott.

Ideal location, walking distance to most tourist attractions. Overlooks the canal. Facility is also nice clean contemporary modern . Staff is also very friendly and nice, Only reason I am giving a low rating for service is, being Hilton Gold I was told I have free breakfast at check in. Somehow that didn't make it to the on line system..when my daughter went for breakfast , she was turned away. And this happened on last day, as we ate out first 2 days. Anyways, they need to have some system in place. Otherwise had a wonderful stay here.

Absolutely blown away from start to finish! It’s not just a cash grab either — there are plenty of fun extras and freebies along the way, and at under €30 per person, it’s an absolute bargain. A must for anyone visiting Amsterdam — you’ll leave with a smile, a pint, and a newfound appreciation for one of the world’s most iconic beers. 🍺🌿🇳🇱

Their tour is super fun and informative. You learn a lot about their history and how they have come so far. You get to see where it is brewed and so so much more. You can even buy a customizable bottle! Their gift shop has so many items, and the bar at the end of the tour is worth hanging around in for a while. Their tour is easy to join and they have lockers for you to keep your things. You get drink tokens with purchase of your tour. Must go to the rooftop!

I’ve wanted to go to the Heineken Brewery for ages and I was sad to say I was a little bit disappointed. The tour was very informative, I enjoyed learning about the beer and brand. But I personally didn’t like some of the interactive elements of the tour, it just felt like space filler unfortunately... The section of the tour where “you are a beer bottle” is brilliant, the tour guides were honestly one of the best parts, they were absolutely brilliant and so funny. The bar at the end of the tour needs more seated areas and tables - it would have been nice to sit and drink my beers instead of just awkwardly stood around.

Ok fun experience if youve never done a brewery tour before. They make it more fun and pop. Rooftop area is beautiful. I guess if its your first time in Amsterdam, this is a must stop attraction. But they focus on making it a bit more fun and sporty rather than historical which was what i was expecting.

This is a really fun place to visit whether your a fan of the beer or not, it certainly helps if you are that said which we where! Very fun and informative experience. Came a few years ago and was great to see all the new improvements they have made such as the ride.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Honestly it was not high on my agenda on my visit to Amsterdam but decided to do it on one of the two free afternoons we had. It was beyond my expectations, well organized, very professional, interactive and not to mention the free beers. Heineken has been my beer of choice whenever I am away from home so it was actually a treat to see what went into brewing it. Please don’t take my word for it. If you get the opportunity make a point to do the tour….if possible, book the rooftop experience you will be pleasantly surprised.

What a cool & interactive brewery experience! Love that a general ticket includes 2-3 small beers at the end, informative staff, & interactive rooms where you can take a digital souvenir for example. All the staff we encountered were very friendly/funny, the lobby has lockers/coat hang. Love that its centrally located too

Great unique experience. They give you individual audio pods which hosts several languages. This gallery is the home that Anne Frank found refuge with her family before they were found. As you enter each room, you scan the room# as it narrates events in her life. There is a bookstore and café shop located at the end of the tour. Rsvp online purchase as it is busy, but not really a long wait when it get there. Goes fast and the tour is about an hour long.

Impressive, very well conserved. Autoguided visit. No photos allowed in the hidden house, only in the visitors centre for the ones who buy the ticket+introdutory lesson (30 minutes for an overview of the history, I fully recommend). It can be a little sufocating not only because of the place but also about the history that happened inside. It is impossible going there and not feel bad about what these walls have listened and witnessed. It is a painful but necessary visit.

Really would recommend. The audio tour helps paint a picture of what it was like back then. Imagining having to be quiet so you weren't heard. Seeing the original features really brings it to life.

A solemn and moving museum to remind humanity not to repeat such horrific events. The courage of not only the Frank family but also the saints who helped this family was displayed. It filled my heart to see that the dreams of a young girl was fulfilled although she was denied to live her life.

Amazing! You cannot take photos inside, they have coat check so you can bring your bag to leave there. They also provide speaker phone type of device in many different languages. I have a spinal condition and was able to make all of the stairs! I highly recommend.

Awesome experience. A must for those in Amsterdam. History truly comes to life right in front of you. No photos allowed in the house itself.

A great display. To see the conditions & how the family lived hiding all those years was amazing. You certainly have to book 6 weeks in advance in summer/peak season. Unfortunately no photos allowed to be taken inside the complex.

Great museum. Hadn’t been for a few years, better than I remembered. Amazing art spread over four floors in the heart of the museum area. Saw huge works of art, great sculpture too and even an aircraft up on floor 3. And a condom that dates back to 1830 🙄 A must see. Only takes a couple of hours to get a good feel. You can then return to explore more.

Stunning setting on par with the Louvre; goldmine of Dutch Masters but also extensive collections of porcelain, china, silverware, jewelry, firearms, nautical models and other items. Large, open atrium and other common areas with ample access to washrooms, lifts and stairwells. App (IOS and Android) loads easily and allows access to thematic and custom tours. BRING ear buds, although you can listen via your phone’s speaker. Audio device is only €6.50 each. Cafeteria fills by mid-day with lineup; we grabbed coffee / tea and a brownie for two at the smaller cafe. Cons: App and general signage could be better at orienting visitors: it took a while to find the Great Hall. Many exhibits are dimly lit; I know this protects paintings/fabric/etc, but many other international museums have more ample lighting. Maybe illuminate the text descriptions separately? Given that explanatory panels are often mounted within 50cm of the floor, deciphering them can pose a challenge. Even saw quite young folks having to squint. Strongly advise staff to engage an Optometrist to assist in this. Sum: certainly a “must see”, with a complete visit likely requiring 3+ hrs. Staff very helpful, and roving throughout the museum. Buy tickets from the official site beforehand (or via QR on site), and avail yourself of the (included) coat-check.

The Rijksmuseum is an incredible place to explore Dutch art and history. The collection is world-class from Rembrandt’s The Night Watch to Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, every gallery feels like a walk through time. The building itself is stunning, and the layout makes it easy to wander and discover something new at every turn. That said, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends. I definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the long lines and secure your preferred time slot. Once inside, take your time there’s so much to see that it’s worth spending a few hours here. Overall, a fantastic cultural experience and a must-visit in Amsterdam, just make sure to plan ahead!

Buy tickets outside at a little portable booth in front of the overpass. Watch out for FAST💨 BIKES!!! The famous Night Watchman by Rembrandt is under serious restoration and is partially blocked due to scaffolding. This painting is on the second floor, the 1700s. Later work by Van Gogh is on the 1st floor exhibited. We also ate lunch in the museum cafeteria and the food was super fast and fresh! The chicken salad and the buffalo mozzarella salad were excellent!!

Classic, iconic, and indispensable art museum. While it is best known for its classic collection and Dutch Golden Age masterpieces, it also hosts an extensive selection of works from other periods, including contemporary critical exhibits. Carefully curated, the visit can be extensive if one wishes to cover all it has to offer. But it makes for a memorable experience both for those with a dedication to art and culture, and the casual visitor. It is useful to book tickets in advance. While the crowds are managed reasonably, it can get busy, in particular in the most popular galleries. An early arrival is useful to enjoy those works in a more relaxed way. The museum has quality services for information, accessibility, shop, restaurant and coffee bar. Staff is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable across all roles. The 2013 refurbishment of the historic Pierre Cuypers building by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos still feels fresh, cogent, and successful in upgrading the entrances, patios, service areas, and selected exhibition spaces. If anything it would have been nice to have a more direct opportunity to understand the evolution of the building, its spaces, collection history, and new curatorial practices. Although much of that emerges through the visiting experience, and carefully prepared exhibits.

This museum was huge! Beautiful to look and on both the inside and the outside. Beautiful gardens and greenery and the building was an architectural masterpiece. Our story is a little funny because even tho we paid to enter, we were so tired from the day already that we only entered for a mere 3 minutes and then stepped out to go look for Stroopwaffles. We barely saw anything here, but hey everyone says it's a must-see when you're visiting Amsterdam.

The Rijksmuseum is spacious and full of variety—you can easily spend two hours or more exploring. Of course, the famous paintings, especially those by Rembrandt, are breathtaking. But beyond that, we enjoyed discovering other exhibits too: delicate porcelain, shipbuilding models, and historical artifacts that tell stories beyond the canvas. We arrived early, which helped—it was fairly quiet at first. But the museum filled up quickly and became quite crowded in some areas. The café is lovely and offers a peaceful break. Unfortunately, The Night Watch is currently under restoration, but even so, it remains a powerful and moving centerpiece. Visiting the Rijksmuseum is a beautiful experience—perfect for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking cultural depth and inspiration.

We try to visit an art museum in every city we visit and this was a great one! Very organized timed entry and exit. The audio tour was great and the art was obviously amazing. It was also a good size, but not so big your feet hurt by the end. :) Definitely a must see if you visit Amsterdam but buy your tickets well in advance!

Must visit if you like art even one tiny bit. I'm not an art aficionado myself but I can't not be amazed by Van Gogh's Paintings. You cannot buy tickets at the gate. It must be pre purchased online beforehand. Please note the starry night (Van Gogh's most famous painting) is not here. But they have other amazing paintings including another masterpiece - The potato eaters. The lighting is not nice. It's dull yellow and doesn't do justice to the colours. It should be much brighter. One thing which was not nice was the locker system to keep your backpack which is not allowed inside. It's free but had no instructions. You first need to go to the panel and enter a code and it will assign a locker. The shop is also nice, they have some really good items for sale. Overall worth every penny !

An absolutely incredible experience! Visiting the Van Gogh Museum was a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. I truly enjoyed the experience! Though the museum doesn’t have some works like the starry night, it explores the path of Vincent through the time. What I liked is examples of the work that inspired Van Gogh, the paintings of his friends that he exchanged for his paintings and the paintings that got inspiration from Van Gogh. An extended audio guide was easy to follow and it felt pretty short.

Let’s be honest this is one of those things that everyone tells you have to see. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, you’re probably going whether you want to or not. Take the back staircase that gives you a great view of the area below. I actually recommend going all the way to the top first and then working your way down. Don’t worry about going to the first gift shop you see there’s multiple gift shops there. They’re also is a few really great views to be had depending on where you stop for a coffee. The architecture of the building itself is actually really enjoyable. There’s a lot of art to be seen so if you walk into one room and it’s crowded just circle back to it later. Budget a few hours, but don’t spend the whole day because there’s a ton to do in the surrounding area.

The Van Gogh Museum is absolutely stunning, not just the building itself, which is beautiful, but the entire atmosphere. The exhibits are incredible, of course, but what truly stood out to me was the storytelling. As we walked through the museum, we felt like we were being guided through Vincent’s life, seeing the world through his eyes, and understanding his struggles, passion, and vision on a much deeper level. By the time we left, we had a completely new appreciation of who Vincent Van Gogh was, both as an artist and as a person. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve walked out the door.

I had a great experience. I would say it would take 1.5-2 hours to get through the museum. There is a lot of people (of course) which does make it harder to enjoy but what can you do. There is a lot to learn about his life. There are some other artists who were his friend or inspiration etc. The gift shops/ cafe are about the size of the museum itself but it has a huge selection too and reasonably priced. There are also lockers to store your bags/ coat hangers so you don’t have to carry around so much and can enjoy the works of art.

Such a unique experience in Breda! To get in there, we needed to wait until 2pm on Sunday. It was not so crowded, yet it is a definitely must see in Breda. You can learn the history of the town from the information provided on the walls.

Absolutely stunning place! I’ve traveled a lot throughout the world and this is truly one of the most beautiful cathedrals I’ve seen. It’s very well kept and taken care of and there’s enough light to see every small detail. The organ is gorgeous and as a musician myself, I’d be very curious to hear it played. We visited in the afternoon of Dec 31 and it was still welcoming people.

The Church is charming. The current exhibition is really interesting, inspiring and diverse (for a merely symbolic price). The guidebook is very well written: even if it is only in dutch it can be easily translated with Lens. I am thankful to the ladies and gentlemen of the staff at the entrance for the suggestion and giving it to me anyway. Congratulations.

For a city like Breda, it’s a very impressive structure. The entrance to the church (which is obviously free) is from the side and immediately you feel the need of looking up. Tall, impressive, strong and powerful. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the pipe-organ as it was under restoration, but we could talk a small glimpse from the side and we noticed the incredible colors. If you come to Breda you have to see it!

The interior of this church is quite disappointing. There is no real place to pray, no proper seating like you would expect in other churches, and it always feels like it’s half-finished, with constant work going on. Looking at reviews from years ago, it seems nothing has really changed. Inside, it doesn’t feel like a functioning church but more like a museum, with tombs, sculptures, and works of art on display, as well as temporary exhibitions. Unless you pay for the museum and take a guided tour, much of it has little explanation and feels like a random mix of things. More than a place for reflection, meditation, or prayer, it’s a cultural site that honestly isn’t very interesting inside. Quite unfortunate. The exterior, on the other hand, is majestic and truly beautiful. But overall, it’s not worth going inside.

Let op going in cost money 5 euro per person to enter the house of god😏

A great day trip from Rotterdam. The videos inside the boat are great, lovely electronic demonstrations, you can go inside a couple windmills. But the best part is how passionate the volunteers are. They love chatting about the water management system and Netherlands history. A wonderful place for a sunny day. Do be careful with the ferry, if you time it incorrectly, you'll be waiting for an hour to get there or back.

We didn’t have time to do the tour since we were biking through to Vreeswijk, but some of our colleagues were able to do a short tour and see the inside of the working windmills. The photos were really cool and I wish I could’ve done it. Great place to walk or bike. Beautiful scenery.

We visited this beautiful and serene UNESCO site in September. We enjoyed the boat ride and exploring the two windmills. I am glad to see that they kept these windmills in good conditions so that next generations appreciate them. Definitely worth visiting.

The Kinderdijk windmill complex in the Netherlands consists of several historic windmills arranged in a line along waterways. UNESCO Kinderdijk is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit. The row of historic windmills set along the waterways feels almost timeless, and the scenery is peaceful, open, and incredibly photogenic. Walking or biking through the area gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the landscape, and the visitor center provides helpful background on the history and engineering behind the windmills. It’s a perfect blend of nature, culture, and Dutch heritage—a truly memorable experience.

The site is huge and it is very beautiful you can spend the day there and honestly I didn’t take the tour but it is recommended due to the fact that it allows you to see the area better and have a better experience. But the parking was really hard to be found and their parking places are extremely expensive!!

We came here in October on a Thursday so we knew going into it that it was off-season. Getting here via public transit from Rotterdam was a bit of a trek but we managed. We bought tickets and enjoyed all it had to offer. We walked through all the museum spaces, took the water shuttle and the water tour. It was a fun day out in nature to get some fresh air and getaway from the city. It seemed like you could explore the place without buying tickets but to access the museum exhibits, the museum style windmills and the water shuttle, you needed to show proof of tickets. The only thing I'd recommend is bringing your own food as the options were slim and the space to eat filled up quick once the rain started down pouring!

A core viewing item for tourists is the Erasmusbrug with its sleek lines and modern design. Instantly recognizable. I especially wanted to walk here as i suspected it was near our cruise ship terminal and I wanted to know how to get here if we had any trouble with our shuttle transfers. We walked half way out for great views down the river/channel. Additional photos were from our cruise ship sail away the next day, from the other side of the channel/river

Super cool to see up close in person. However if you are short on time - it’s just as spectacular viewing from afar. Walking across this bridge doesn’t compare to walking across the Brooklyn Bridge (which is not to be missed in NYC). There wasn’t much to see or do around the Erasmus bridge.

The Erasmus Bridge is a must-see in Rotterdam. Its sleek, modern design and impressive span make it a perfect spot for photos. Its one of the best tourist attraction. I passed by on a cloudy February, but I'm sure that the views on others seasons of the year as angles would be magnificent.

I went to the bridge in the evening. So I could get some nice shots of the city lights. The bridge is beautiful. I don’t know if I would’ve felt the same if I went during the day.

The hotel has a beautiful location, which is a great plus. However, the rooms were disappointing, with small and uncomfortable beds, leading to a low rating of 4/10 for the room. The reception service was decent, with a rating of 8/10. On the downside, the attitude of one of the kitchen staff members was very poor. There was a noticeable lack of respect for both guests and colleagues at the reception, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The breakfast selection was limited, but it was what I expected given the nature of the hotel. The hotel itself appears old, though it has been renovated. There is parking available for guests, which is a positive feature. I arrived late in the evening, but the reception staff, particularly the Syrian employee, were extremely welcoming and professional, making the check-in process pleasant. Conclusion: Despite the nice location and good reception staff, I do not plan to stay at this hotel again due to the uncomfortable beds and poor service from certain staff members.

Cleanliness was a major concern during my stay. Unfortunately, this was the least clean hotel I have ever experienced. There were stains on the curtains, stained fingerprints on the walls, and lip marks on the mugs and glasses. The chairs and telephone were also dusty and dirty. I ended up having to do the cleaning myself, as otherwise I would have found it very difficult to remain in the room. What made this particularly disappointing is that the marks on the walls and the stains on the mugs and glasses could have been removed with just a little care. This reflects poorly on the housekeeping standards. I did not request a room change, as I did not believe it would have made much difference. The soundproofing was also very poor — I could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, and each time a door closed in the corridor my bed actually shook. In addition, I did not find the blue lighting in the bathroom pleasant, and the shower temperature was inconsistent. Overall, I am sorry to say that this was a very disappointing stay.

This is the classic holiday inn express. Predictable as always. There are no surprises here as well and you can not go wrong with this place as a business traveller for a short stay. The checkin experience was smooth. The staff very helpful. I had the keys of my room in my hand in no time. The rooms were the same holiday inn express rooms. Minimalist! But everything works. I always miss a wardrobe, a place to keep my suitcase, a safe to keep the passport and a mini refrigerator. It would be so great if somehow the design incorporated at least a safe and a place to keep the suitcase, so that you don't live of the suitcase on the floor. The TV is the size of a small computer monitor. Most computer monitors available now are bigger than the TV here and that needs to change. The breakfast is included as a part of the package for everyone and is great. It's not an elaborate spread. It's the same menu everyday, but no real complaints here. The one challenge with this place is that there isn't a proper place to board a cab or get out of one. The only place for one to do this is in the bus lane near a bus stop and that is complex. But I guess most people will just take a train. The place is very conveniently located near the Rotterdam central station. There are a number of very good places to eat within a short walking distance. I would strongly recommend a stay here.

It's a relatively comfortable hotel, but with a few faults. First our room was not made up in the morning, towels not changed. We complaint to the reception unfortunately they don't have any idea about it. Secondly the room telephone doesn't have a cord so it isn't working (see my photo). Thirdly the bed was too soft sinking to the middle. Having said all these, breakfast was good, location is fantastic, it's only about 200 yards from the central station.

Hotel is in a great location with train station, tram, shopping and restaurants within walkable distance. Having stayed in the hotel for close to a month, my husband and I were super disappointed. This is the worst customer experience we had with an IHG hotel chain. Room has very poor sound proofing. Even though we did not opt for the green option, bed linen were not changed daily. Hotel staff told us it’s only changed every 4 days (which is for the green option). Our room was also not made up on one day. And we could see the floor was not vacuumed for days as remnants were found. Instead of taking ownership and solving the issue, staff at the reception just pointed the problem to the housekeeping team. No apology was given at the very instant the issue was raised to her. She even offered to give us the bed linen expecting us to change by ourselves. Bathroom was not well cleaned. And we had sink that was choked. And bathroom was closed to being choked after 22 days of stay. Staff at the reception told us it’s a 3-stars hotel so it’s old and things might not work. Facial tissue was not replenished during housekeeping. When we requested for it, we were told to get it from the reception Housekeeping team left unwanted stuff such as extra pillow case, garbage bag, cleaning cloth, etc in the room. In our opinion, the hotel amenities are not that old. It’s the attitude and level of engagement and service of the team that caused the issues. Feedback to hotel there is a strong cigarette smell at the same floor and no action was taken to address it. Breakfast also lacked varieties and remained very much the same daily. We had to depart very early for our flight so we settled the bills the night before. No one communicated that we could arrange breakfast takeaway until we handed the key cards back to the hotel. We requested to talk to the GM but he did not respond to our request. In summary, the leadership, service and operations have huge room for improvement as evident by our personal experience. IHG group should seriously take the feedback from google reviews and strive to improve the overall service levels.

We chose this hotel solely for its location, but what we experienced turned our stay into a complete nightmare. After checking in at 3 PM as requested, my wife got into bed only to discover a large, dry brown stain on the sheets — unclear whether it was food, vomit, or something else entirely. Disgusted but polite, we reported the issue to reception at around 5 PM. We were reassured that the situation would be taken care of. Fast forward to 10 PM: we return to the room, only to find the exact same stained sheets — nothing had been done. We went back to reception, and the same staff member who had acknowledged the issue accompanied us back to the room… bringing clean sheets in hand and expecting us to change the bed ourselves. This level of service is beyond unacceptable. For any hotel, cleanliness and basic hospitality are non-negotiable. What happened here was not only unprofessional, but also absolutely appalling. Needless to say, we will never return — and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

While the location was right downtown and close to a tram line, I would NOT stay her again or recommend it again. Mostly for lack of cleanliness and the telephone did not work but the hotel staff neglected to notify us when we checked In. TV remote have a large amout of visible dirt. The beds were twin slightly sunken in the middle but there was a strong foul vomit odor on the bed & wall next to it.

A must! Incredible views. We went up just before sunset and then after sunset, we had a drink and A DELICIOUS AND GENEROUS portion of their fries with truffle mayo and parmesan, so worth it. After that we went back out to experience the views of the lights. It's like 3 experiences in 1. Highly recommend it to locals and tourists.

The waiter was pretty rude! One of the waitresses got us a table with a nice view but that was all of the good experience. We waited 20 minutes to order and when the waiter came he told us that table has a reservation and we had to move to another one so we left the restaurant.

Great open view of the Rotterdam city. 360° view available. Unfortunatelly service in the restaurant was not so good. Although mostly empty we were tild we cant be served lunch because they didnt have staff. Other people were served. We left and wouldnt recommend the restaurant.

Was great to br able to see Rotterdam from such a height and there is a small video you watch to show the history of Rotterdam. Would have been better if they had signs to show what you are looking at once you are on the viewing platform. Instead there is a QR code you can scan and then you are supposed to be able to point your camera at things and it will tell you what it was, however it doesn't work well at all. You also have to buy a more expensive ticket to go to the highest point. They also do abseiling down the Euromast which wasn't widely advertised.

I put 3 stars for the fact that we paid a lot of money for just a couple of short video clips explaining about the city. I thought we would get a better experience for the amount of money we paid. I was disappointed. But the view was great, for that reason I didnt make it 1 or 2 stars :)

Worth the money, views on top are breathtaking. Be sure to dress warmly if you go for the Euroscoop ride in November as you may have to wait outside for 7 min.
