Small ski resort where is visible the age of lifts. Nonetheless, slopes were well prepared and we enjoyed it. There were also cross country capabilities available.

Absolutely gorgeous lake and peaceful forest walk. The colours of the lake are a feast for the eyes with the picturesque mountains as a backdrop. The rainbow lake is definitely worth a visit!

We were given tickets as part of the public transport system. I'm glad we had time to use the tickets. The cable car was an amazing experience to explore the upper region. At the top there is a short train ride, which showed us an excellent view and experience from a living in the mountains point of view.

South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology – Meeting Ötzi in Bolzano Bolzano is one of those places that gets under your skin—a strange and beautiful collision of Italy and the Alps. German precision meets Italian charm, all wrapped in cobblestone streets, Gothic arcades, and the smell of good coffee drifting out of corner cafés. It’s a city where you can order a perfect espresso in the morning, a plate of speck and mountain cheese by noon, and a bottle of local Gewürztraminer by dinner. We grabbed a quick bite at a café across the street before heading in—sitting outside while small birds darted between tables, bold enough to hope for crumbs. Then we crossed over to see why most people come here: Ötzi. The South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology sits in a stately old building at the edge of the pedestrian zone, and inside is one of the most haunting encounters you can have without boarding a plane to somewhere far more dangerous. Three floors take you from prehistoric tools to Roman relics, winding you closer to the reason everyone’s here: a 5,300-year-old man pulled from the ice, along with the tools, clothes, and gear he carried when death found him in the high mountains. The displays are sharp and modern, with just the right balance of science and story. There’s his copper axe, his grass cape, his last meal still in his stomach. The lifelike reconstruction of Ötzi by the Kennis brothers is unsettling in the best possible way—suddenly this isn’t just a skeleton in a glass case, it’s a person who woke up one morning not knowing it would be his last. What makes the place work is its restraint. No gimmicks, no cheap drama—just good storytelling and the quiet, unnerving truth of seeing someone who lived and died in the same mountains you can see out the window. Bolzano does that—it folds the past and present together until you can’t quite tell where one ends and the other begins.

We are currently world schooling to learn about WWI. This place had many artifacts on display, it explained movement, terrain and logistics and at the end you can honor those that fell when the battle came to them. It was interesting that so many siblings fought in this battle, many to save their city. The views are outstanding. This memorial/monument was well thought out. A look at the town shows the influence on architecture from the war. This place was awesome.

A beautiful place with lots of original and rare flowers. I recommend going there with your friends, then it is interesting to explore. In addition, the castle in which the restaurant is located. Really stunning place.

The scenery on the valley is surrounded by a small vineyard. The footpath is beautifully designed. You can take your dog for a walk. And there are also cafes when you want to take a break.

Lovely monastery with lots of stairs... if you have a hard time with stairs, don’t even go through the door. It’s a religious place, where people come to pray, so you must be considerate when talking. It’s built on a rock and the view from the top floor is quite impressive, especially from the pointy balcony; watch your kids here. The food at the cafe is not bad and it’s reasonably priced.

Amazing beautiful place. Gorgeous fantastic views, amazing historical place you must visit. The toilet is in the entrance of the castle (go there first). There are several floors with amazing historical collection in every room. Parking costs 4€ for 3 hours. There is cafeteria (without toilet) behind the castle with great pizza, local vine and local beer. You can also purchase beer with you. Amazing breathtaking beautiful place! Sometimes when you walk away from the castle, there might be a guy selling local products from the minivan - be ready to buy local products (cash&card). I definitely recommend visiting this place. Remember that you have free entrance with visitor card (we had our from our hotel Aquila). You can also go there if there is a really bad weather too: castle and the views are gorgeous!

This is an incredible walk through a good portion of the castle with ancient artifacts and high-quality medieval paintings in every room. The views from the higher floors look out into the property gardens or out into the city. Truly stunning! Worth the trip to Trento.

MUSE this place is very entertaining, educative with huge exhibition and activities. I was very surprised how interesting it actually was. Everything very organised and super clear, reception,help desk, souvenir shop, lockers, toilets, nice outside area, terrace, and exhibition zone. Plus they have this tropical area with plants where you can feel as in jungles. Completely different world. In exhibition throughout the floors you could see many animals geographical and historical facts. Touch cold ice and play multiple riddle kind of games, kids absolutely love those games. Either on screens or physical games. Simply impressive and everyone had A good good time. Would recommend anyone especially families with kids this place is specially for them. Would recommend to book in advance and get ready to spend there 2-3 hours.

Great place to visit while in the area. The castel is owned by a private person and they've done an amazing job restoring the castle. The lady who was there was fantastic, she shared her knowledge about the place. Highly recommend to visit the castle.

Amazing hike which is not too heavy but offers beautiful scenery. When you’re lucky you can see some cows. We took approximately 2 hours to complete the hike. Parking was free but we visited in low-season.

A long drive from Garda but was worth the effort. Restaurant at the falls too. Beautiful.

Great zoo experience at Lake Garda! We were genuinely impressed by this zoo. The grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room for the animals. You can tell that animal welfare is a top priority here – the enclosures are large, clean, and provide lots of shade. The animals looked healthy and well cared for, and many were easy to observe without feeling like their space was compromised. There’s also plenty of shade along the walking paths, which makes the visit pleasant even on hot days. The layout is clear and well signposted, and everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The restaurants on site were a pleasant surprise – good food, reasonable prices, and a nice variety to choose from. One small suggestion: it would be great if the large playground had more shaded areas – especially for the little ones during the midday heat. All in all, a fantastic visit and a great day out for all ages. We’ll definitely be back

Amazing place and the ticket price (15€) is really decent compared to other more famous palaces and given the amount of space, art and history you see. We were simply astonished. You can easily spend 4-5h and if it's raining outside, you have no reason to hurry up. We loved it, it's a must if you're in Mantova.

Cool, ornate church. Certainly worth a stop to check it out. Looks like during the season there is annoption for crypt tours and to the walkway up in the main dome. We saw the sign for them, but it was behind bars and the tours were clearly not being offered at this time. Looks like it would be an interesting option. Even without, it is certainly worth admiring this chiesa.

This amusement park is ideal for younger children, offering plenty of gentle, less-scary rides. While the attractions aren’t as elaborate or themed as those at Gardaland or Movieland, they deliver classic amusement-park fun in a well-designed, well-maintained setting. Beyond the rides, the park includes a small farm, a reptile house and aquarium, “Mini-Italy,” and several cheerful playgrounds scattered around the grounds. Buying tickets online in advance will save you money.

This place is mesmerizing. Happy by just walking around the garden and taking few pictures. There are two exits. You can go out and return by asking the staff to stamp on your wrist. There’s entrance near the port, very easy to walk to this place. We did not buy the ticket in advance since we saw the notice in the booking website that we need to be in line to get ticket anyway. Luckily, there was no queue, I believe because we visited during weekday in the afternoon (Oct 6). Not too many people there. Recommend!

Took the train to Varenna, then the boat and got off at Lenno. From Lenno we hiked to the villa following the lake shore (approx 4 km) This is a great hike, easy to make and not exhaustive. The only caveat is that there is a section of the hike that follows the road. Visited on Monday. Started with the gardens as there was a storm cloud on the lake and wanted to cover the gardens and move inside if the rain moved onto the place. The gardens are extensive and beautiful. The rhododendrons were in peak bloom (mid May). The Villa itself is also impressive, well curated and maintained. Overall a great small museum as a time capsule ot a different era. The cafeteria has gelato, panini and excellent beer. What else do you need beyond that. We entered the museum at 3:00 pm and left just after 6:pm. The combined ticket for the gardens and the villa is €15/p. Good value.

Extraordinary and beautiful.

We’ve photographed several pre-wedding shoots at Villa del Balbianello, and every single time it feels like a dream. The views over Lake Como are breathtaking, and the villa itself is pure magic. In spring, the wisteria blooms beautifully across the villa, creating an even more enchanting atmosphere. Every corner is photogenic, from the iconic terrace overlooking the lake to the lush gardens. It’s truly one of the most incredible locations in Italy for a photoshoot.

Fantastic track for a classic formula one race. If you’re general admission or grand stand ticket holders, be prepared for an adventure of a weekend with 30k plus steps, lots of missed navigation, and an unforgettable experience seeing a sea of Ferrari fans. Definitely a life changing experience but highly recommended for a F1 fanatic!
