Beautiful garden with a wide variety of botanical riches--from the "trees of the world" area to the amazing and artful viewing platform set high above the garden to the more formal plantings around the big pond and in the sunny hills near the castle. We spent a few hours here and enjoyed every minute.
Absolutely wonderful gardens, walks and fascinating flowers, trees and animals. Certainly worth a visit as the colours are exceptional.
We’ve visited the gardens and the castle in autumn. It was still worth it. You really need a whole day to see everything. It is very big. It is perfect for kids. They have baby goats and small farm animals. Beautiful views. We will come in summer.

We visited the Botanical Gardens of Schloss Trauttmansdorff and highly recommend it. Parking at P3 or P4 is free and just a short 5-minute walk to the entrance. The park is beautifully designed with a wide variety of landscapes and attractions. We started on the left and worked our way through to the right, spending about 2.5 hours in total. There’s a lot to see and experience. Some paths are quite steep, so it might be a bit challenging for older visitors. Overall, a stunning place well worth the visit.

This place is so awesome I don't even want to write a review about it, it might make it busier in this era of overtourism.
But anyway: this garden is too beautiful to be true: the location in the Alps, the hilly terrain of the park, and the variety of plants and flowers and artwork. Usually it's sunny here which really helps.
We were here in late October which was perfect.
Walking around is not really doable for people who don't walk well.
Parking is easy, there's also a bus to the station and it's an easy detour from the Brenner tollway.

Bolzano is one of those places that gets under your skin—a strange and beautiful collision of Italy and the Alps. German precision meets Italian charm, all wrapped in cobblestone streets, Gothic arcades, and the smell of good coffee drifting out of corner cafés. It’s a city where you can order a perfect espresso in the morning, a plate of speck and mountain cheese by noon, and a bottle of local Gewürztraminer by dinner.
We grabbed a quick bite at a café across the street before heading in—sitting outside while small birds darted between tables, bold enough to hope for crumbs. Then we crossed over to see why most people come here: Ötzi. The South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology sits in a stately old building at the edge of the pedestrian zone, and inside is one of the most haunting encounters you can have without boarding a plane to somewhere far more dangerous. Three floors take you from prehistoric tools to Roman relics, winding you closer to the reason everyone’s here: a 5,300-year-old man pulled from the ice, along with the tools, clothes, and gear he carried when death found him in the high mountains.
The displays are sharp and modern, with just the right balance of science and story. There’s his copper axe, his grass cape, his last meal still in his stomach. The lifelike reconstruction of Ötzi by the Kennis brothers is unsettling in the best possible way—suddenly this isn’t just a skeleton in a glass case, it’s a person who woke up one morning not knowing it would be his last.
What makes the place work is its restraint. No gimmicks, no cheap drama—just good storytelling and the quiet, unnerving truth of seeing someone who lived and died in the same mountains you can see out the window.
Bolzano does that—it folds the past and present together until you can’t quite tell where one ends and the other begins.

As a physiotherapist, I feel it’s important to highlight that some of the information presented about Ötzi’s ailments and pain is factually incorrect—not just technically inaccurate but clearly and potentially harmfully wrong.
Specifically, the exhibit makes claims about osteoarthritis and other health conditions that go beyond what the evidence supports. It is not scientifically valid to infer pain based solely on imaging findings of “degenerative” changes or age-related adaptations. These types of findings are extremely common in healthy people—many of whom experience no pain at all.
Presenting such changes as definitive sources of pain reinforces outdated and misleading beliefs about the human body. This can contribute to fear, over-medicalization, and unnecessary treatments in the general public, especially among people who already live with chronic pain or worry about their health.
Aside from the clearly documented issues—such as the arrow wound in his shoulder, the broken arm, and dental problems—any additional claims about Ötzi’s experience of pain are speculative at best and should be labeled as such.
Personally, I think those parts of the exhibit should be changed. I included some photos of the problematic texts.

We didn’t have a ticket in advance and so had to wait outside. It was annoying that the lady at the front couldn’t tell us how long the queue would be, luckily it was only a bit more than 20 minutes.
We visited on a tuesday afternoon mid September. Recommended to buy beforehand!
Inside there are also many school groups next to the general visitors so it is not calm or quiet.
An interesting museum dedicated to literally just one mummy. After viewing the exhibit, you realize how much information can be gleaned from such a find. My seven-year-old daughter was a bit scared; perhaps it's too early to see such exhibits. Tickets are inexpensive, but there's no parking. The restrooms are clean and comfortable. A significant amount of money has been invested in the museum; I recommend visiting.
Awesome museum! I have been interested in Otzi since he was pulled out of the ice, so when I was nearby I made sure to make a detour to Bolzano and the museum. You’re not allowed to take photos of Otzi himself as he is being preserved for research purposes. The images below show what they think Otzi would have looked like. One thing I found most interesting, (other than his acupuncture tattoos of course!) was his height - only 5 feet 3 inches. I had expected him to be taller, possibly because of my own biases, but possibly also owing to the nature of his life - mountain climbing and hunting while alone. Regardless, he was obviously a seriously brave guy. The museum dedicated to him is definitely worth a visit.

MUSE this place is very entertaining, educative with huge exhibition and activities. I was very surprised how interesting it actually was. Everything very organised and super clear, reception,help desk, souvenir shop, lockers, toilets, nice outside area, terrace, and exhibition zone. Plus they have this tropical area with plants where you can feel as in jungles. Completely different world. In exhibition throughout the floors you could see many animals geographical and historical facts. Touch cold ice and play multiple riddle kind of games, kids absolutely love those games. Either on screens or physical games. Simply impressive and everyone had A good good time. Would recommend anyone especially families with kids this place is specially for them. Would recommend to book in advance and get ready to spend there 2-3 hours.

The exterior looks promising but the interior and amount of content is fairly limited. In comparison the much older natural science museum in Bergamo is much more interesting and holds much more specimens. That’s being said, it’s still a good option for a rainy day.

Great place for kids, and adults too. 5 stories of natural/tech entertainment with plenty of interactive activities. You can easily spend 3h there. Booking in advance highly recommended, especially on peak season. Tickets are timeslotted, with entries every 30 mins or so. Tickets is pretty cheap and with family packages options.

An excellent, medium-sized museum with a rich and diverse exhibition. It's sensibly arranged so you can explore it according to your needs—some sections in detail, others just for a quick glance. This is the most wonderful science museum I’ve ever visited. It has 5 floors of exhibitions and the last one is a terrace with great view. There is even a greenhouse with tropical plants, live birds, butterflies, fishes. There are a lot of activities for children, so they can learn, play and have fun in a museum. I love the whole idea and how it was executed. I highly recommend this museum both for children and adults.

Piazza delle Erbe is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric squares in all of Italy. Surrounded by elegant palaces, medieval towers, and richly decorated façades, it feels like stepping back in time. The square has been the beating heart of Verona since the Roman era, once serving as the city’s forum, and today it still pulses with life from morning to night.
The architecture is breathtaking — from the frescoed façades of the Mazzanti Houses to the Baroque Palazzo Maffei with its statues of classical gods. Every corner seems to tell a story of centuries gone by, blending Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influences seamlessly.

I truly enjoyed strolling through Piazza delle Erbe, Verona’s oldest square. Piazza delle Erbe is a truly beautiful square. It's lined with a row of stunning buildings, with the most magnificent of all—Palazzo Maffei—standing proudly at one end. In the center, you'll find the impressive Madonna Fountain of Verona and a bustling bazaar full of life.
The edges of the square are dotted with charming-looking restaurants, shops and cafés. We didn’t eat there ourselves, though, as the square was quite crowded with fellow tourists. That said, we did find a few quieter corners along the edges, perfect for sitting back and watching people pass by—it was quite entertaining!
A beautiful square that feels big but still quite cozy. In my opinion, it’s definitely more interesting than the large one by the Arena. From here you’ve got direct access to Juliet’s house, plus plenty of nice restaurants, narrow streets, and cafés all around. The atmosphere is fantastic – you could wander here all day.

Despite what many believe, Juliet was not a real historical person. This house once belonged to the Cappello family — a name that inspired Shakespeare’s “Capulet.” The famous balcony was added centuries later to recreate the feeling of the legendary love story of Romeo and Juliet.
Still, the place has an undeniable charm. Visitors come from all over the world to leave love notes, touch Juliet’s statue for luck, and feel the spirit of romance that Verona is famous for. A must-see, even if the story is a beautiful myth. ❤️
If you are a fan of the immortal story of two lovers, then you must visit Juliet's house. The house is constantly besieged by tourists, so think carefully about when you want to visit (preferably in the morning).
I personally like the collection of artworks in the house, and the original wall paintings are also impressive.
I recommend that everyone who visits the house also visit Romeo's home. It is completely overlooked, and only rarely do tourists stop at the memorial plaque on the site where his home once stood.
Still, this place has sadly lost some of its romance. The inner courtyard is flooded with crowds – noise, long lines to touch Juliet’s statue, and cameras flashing from every direction. There’s little real romance left; it feels more like a tourist ritual than a place of love.
The museum is interesting to visit, with Juliet’s statue and a few authentic details, but you’ll feel the true spirit of Verona much more while wandering through its charming streets than standing amidst the crowds.
Casa di Giulietta in Verona is a romantic landmark linked to Shakespeare’s Juliet. The 13th-century house features a charming balcony said to inspire the famous scene from _Romeo and Juliet_. Visitors leave love notes on its walls, making it a symbol of timeless passion and literary enchantment. By the way it is very crowded.
Paying the ticket to see the house is much better than the experience outside. Even in low season was completely crowded to the point that the statue looked even nervous herself. There is the same statue inside the house with no crowd, and from the house you can take a picture from the balcony. Staff is kind of rude
This was a tourist trap. The balcony is way small and only 2 persons can fit. We did not visit the inside of the house because of the reviews on Google saying that it was nothing special. The yard was ok and we got to take pictures of the statue of Juliete and the wall of letters. There was a shop nearby that could costumise everything you wanted to by that was nice. The store inside the house has only overpriced magnets and pens for tourists.

Very impressive theater. The tour through the museum lasts about 15-30 minutes depending on how much you want to read. If there’s a concert or something similar while you’re staying in Vicenza, I recommend booking a ticket to experience the theater in action. During summer it’s very hot (there‘s no AC).
We saw a Bach concert that suited this Andrea Palladio masterpiece theatre very well. As it’s a protected building only few changes have been made and we didn’t see any bar, but didn’t miss it either as there was no intermission. The seats are quite uncomfortable but acceptable in a heritage building like this one. The play with spatial illusions makes the scene very dramatic and special.
It may be over 400 years old but the Teatro Olimpico remains stunning and immensely practical. The stage set including the streets laid out in perfect perspective must have added to the theatrical experience and captivated and enthralled audiences.
You can't go on the stage so you have to make do with a scale model made from Lego to appreciate the technique. Pure genius from the master classical architect Palladio.
We bought the Vicenza Silver Card for free admission to four of the top tourist sites. This is one of the best.
Exceptional. The fact that the theatre exists largely as-is from the 16th century and the visual effect of the theater backdrop simulating loooong streets leave one stare in awe. If in the area, a must-see!

Yes it's not very big, but if you get your tickets as part of a multi attraction pass it is very cheap.
The theatre itself is incredible and has the original set pieces from its creation which make an optical illusion. There is a free audio guide which gives a great insight.
No photo can do it justice.
The seats are original wood from the 1500's... So be careful of catching your pants on a nail or splinter.
Also. You will NEED to use the small stairs, on either end or the centre to move up and down the seating. The staff get very upset about you stomping down the seating given its age.
Well worth a visit, they gave us a scan code for a 20 minute audio which was good. Certainly should visit if you have time in Vicenza.

The Ferrari Enzo Museum continues to be one of the most rewarding stops for any automotive enthusiast — and an absolute must for anyone who loves Ferrari. On my latest visit, I was pleased to see how much they’ve improved the main display hall. The new layout makes it far easier to walk around the cars and appreciate them from every angle, which really elevates the experience.
The tribute film dedicated to Enzo Ferrari remains a touching centerpiece of the visit. It’s beautifully put together and adds emotional depth to the museum, reminding you of the passion and vision behind the brand.
The standout for me this time was the F40 LM — an icon in its own right and an unbelievable sight up close. It alone is worth the trip.

Such an amazing display. The video presentations and abundance of information was fantastic. Photos documents and history in the 2nd part of the exhibit has hours of extra enjoyment for the Ferrari enthusiast who really wants to see the details. Just amazing. You can drive a virtual Ferrari or enjoy walking through the cars on show. Arrived by bus from Bologna, it was easy enough to find with google maps. We purchased tickets when we got there. We only did the one museum but a 2nd extra one is available when you purchase your ticket. Price was fair. Access to this museum was easy by bus but I’m not sure about the 2nd one so research ahead.
The visit to the Ferrari Museum left me underwhelmed. Given Ferrari’s storied legacy, I anticipated a richer exploration of the brand’s history and Enzo Ferrari’s life. Sadly, the museum lacks depth, with sparse details on the iconic founder and the company’s evolution. The car collection, while sleek, is a bit limited, featuring fewer models than expected. Interactive experiences are minimal, with just two small exhibition halls that feel underwhelming for such a legendary brand.
Beautiful display of Ferrari supercars, but that's all this museum has going for it. For instance, they have gutted and not restored Enzo's original workshop. Literally no trace of it remains. They have a small (possibly restored) version of his office, but that's it. Tons of history is missing. Gift shop is ridiculously overpriced. If you want to see Ferrari supercars (and are willing to spend 27 euros apiece to do so) then go. If not pass.
You can't touch anything and has zero opportunities to interact with the installation. There is a simulator but is 25€ on top. There is another car where you can actually go in but you have to pay for pictures. There are no places to sit and rest for a second. The whole concept (Modena and Maranello museum+ Shuttle Bus) is very expensive and price performance not comparable with other big museums like the Mercedes Benz.

Estense Castle, also known as the Castle of San Michele, is a grand 14th-century moated castle in Ferrara, Italy. Of all the attractions in Ferrara, the Estense Castle is the most iconic. We visited on a Thursday morning and there were very few other visitors.
Our ticket was part of the MyFE card, which is definitely worth purchasing for a few days ( if nothing else it reduces the tourist tax. We paid just over €25 euros for a 6 day pass.
The castle is most impressive from the exterior., however unlike some castles I have visited in Italy it has a good degree of information and exhibits as you go round.
Dont expect to wizz round, it seemed like a labyrinth, and we were there for about 2 hours.
The Lions Tower is about 112 steps, not too bad compared to many towers Ive climbed. Obviously there not as tall, you still had a good view over the old town.
When we visited (June 2025) The visit finished qith an exhibition of photography by Art Kane. Hands up, I had never heard if the guy, but if you are person of a certain age (like myself) you could help but recognise many of his iconic images. The icing on the cake were the Andy Worhols. The exhibition runs until September and is definitely an added bonus.
You can visit the courtyard for free and there were at least 3 entrances across the moat. The tourist office is also located in the courtyard.
Ferrara is a definitely not a tourist town as such and can therefore be enjoyed without too much hussle and bussle. On the other hand it is most certainly a working town and unlike many of the more famous historic centres is a mixture of old and new, and lacks a bit of charm as a result.
The towns historical sites are a little far apart, walkable, but given it was 35 degrees plus the week we stayed seemed a little too far on occasions.
Overall we really enjoyed the castle and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful big piazza in the heart of Bologna. The Basilica is also in the square which is also worth visiting. It has the longest indoor meridian in the world, dating back to the 1600's.
Great central square and public space used to great effect, every evening i was there, a stage was set with speakers talking about future possibilities, and last night an italian classic covering themes like poverty, innocence, friendship from the viewpoint of a young boy. I believe there is a free movie every evening until end of August. Over 500 seats were taken which shows people have an appetite to use pubic spaces in creative ways, well done bologna!
The nightlife in this pizza was unbelievable! We were there at 12:00 am and the live music was still going on with a good crowd and didn't seem it's going to go down anytime soon! Beautiful, big piazza with good vibes and plenty steps to sit on and chill.

Le Due Torri are impossible to miss and even harder to stop staring at. They're not just symbols of Bologna; they are Bologna, standing watch over centuries of change. Even from the ground, they carry a sense of mystery and gravity that makes you pause and look up; just like everyone else passing by.
We had seen the Two Towers on Rick Steve's show and wanted to take a look while in Bologna on our trek through Europe. The towers were easy to find. Google maps brought us right to them. The construction on the streets around the towers as well as the tower project made it difficult to get good pictures. We could see pretty well but so much chaos going on and it was very loud...we moved along promptly.
Absolutely beautiful tourist attraction, a lot of history. Unfortunately climbing up wasnt an option as it got closed when I went to visit a week ago.

It was such a great experience visiting the Accademia di Firenze! The sculptures and paintings are absolutely wonderful, and the place is quite large - you’ll need plenty of time to explore. I bought a skip-the-line ticket in advance, so I didn’t have to wait at all and could enter right away. Totally worth it! Otherwise, you’ll have to queue for a long time.
The Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence is one of the most inspiring places to experience the essence of the Renaissance. Though smaller than the Uffizi, it holds one of the greatest treasures of human creativity — Michelangelo’s David. Seeing it in person is overwhelming: carved from a single block of marble between 1501 and 1504, the 5.17-meter figure stands tall and alive, every muscle and vein rendered with breathtaking precision. The sculpture captures both physical perfection and the inner courage of Florence’s republican spirit, embodying the Renaissance belief in human potential.
Beyond David, the gallery offers an intimate journey through Florentine art from the 14th to 16th centuries. The “Prisoners” — Michelangelo’s unfinished statues — seem to struggle to free themselves from the marble, revealing the artist’s process and philosophy. The museum also includes a fascinating collection of historical musical instruments, adding depth and variety to the visit.
The atmosphere is serene, especially during early morning hours. Booking a skip-the-line ticket is recommended to avoid crowds. The David and the prisoners is a must see. The corridor they are within? Magnificent. I highly highly recommend making sure you go through it in the direction that has you entering the prisoner's/David's room/corridor from the far end though. If you go through the music section first, which is quite good, you will enter halfway through the prisoners, and some of the effect will be lost. Overall my favorite Galleria we went to!

The Florence Duomo is more than just a building; it is an architectural symbol of the entire Italian Renaissance, dominating the city and the skyline.
What immediately strikes you is the opulence and intricacy of its decoration. The façade, clad in colored marble (white from Carrara, green from Prato, and pink from Maremma), is a stunning sight. Nearby stands Giotto's majestic Campanile and the ancient Baptistery of San Giovanni, decorated with a black-and-white geometric pattern on the outside.
Brunelleschi's dome itself is an engineering marvel of the era, visible from virtually anywhere in the city. Climb beneath it to admire the stunning fresco cycle "The Last Judgment." The frescoes are striking in their scale and detail. They depict Christ in glory, the Virgin Mary, and detailed scenes of the saved and condemned.
The interior of the main nave has majestic but more restrained proportions than its exterior. Note the unusual details, such as the 24-hour clock (the so-called Hora Italica) by Paolo Uccello above the entrance. The nave also features monumental equestrian frescoes, including an image of the condottiere John Hawkwood, and marble tombstones.
The Duomo complex is the pinnacle of Florentine art and architecture. The exterior of the façade and Campanile is a triumph of color and decoration, while the interior, especially the monumental frescoes of the dome, makes one feel like a tiny speck of dust in the midst of history and art.
But be aware that you'll have to wait in line for 20 minutes to an hour to get inside.
The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore — or the Duomo — is absolutely breathtaking! The architecture alone is enough to leave you in awe, but climbing up to the roof was a real highlight. From the top, you get an incredible view of Florence, the surrounding rooftops, and the Duomo itself in all its glory. It’s the perfect spot for photos and to truly appreciate the scale and beauty of this masterpiece.
Inside, the cathedral is just as impressive. The frescoes, stained glass, and intricate details showcase the artistry and devotion poured into every inch of the building. Even just walking around the piazza, the grandeur of the Duomo dominates the skyline and gives a real sense of Florence’s history and culture.
If you’re visiting Florence, don’t miss climbing the dome — it’s a bit of a workout, but totally worth it. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore isn’t just a landmark; it’s an unforgettable experience that captures the spirit and beauty of the city.
This one is hard... I can't give it 5 stars.
First of all the Cathedral is GORGEOUS from the outside, way too many people for the free entry. We had a Brunelleschi Pass and to be able to enter the cathedral and visit the Santa Reparata, we waited almost one hour outside, raining! The Dome was amazing to climb (again lots of people) but dear lord, the church inside is so anti climatic. I could not believe my eyes! The Batistero was a complete disaster. It's being renovated so you enter to look up and see some replica of the ceiling on some tissue... Honesyit would be better if they closed that place until it's done. The views from the Dome are just spectacular. The outside marble work is amazing. 1 star less for the overly crowded experience and the "disappointing interior"

It is situated in the Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Florence's historic center. It's iconic dome, was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, took 16 years to build and happens to be the largest masonry dome in the world.
It commenced in 1296 in a Gothic Style and was completed by 1436. It's exterior is faced with marble panels featuring an elaborate 19th Cent. Gothic revival facade.
An extremely fascinating and Awesome structure, which couldn't be clicked in just a few shots.
I attended Sunday Mass at the Duomo in Firenze this morning, Santa Maria del Fiore, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Construction began in 1296 and the church was not consecrated until 1436, 140 years later!
It is of the largest cathedrals in the world. Brunelleschi's Dome is still the largest brick dome ever constructed. It was a groundbreaking undertaking of engineering in its time.
Humongous cathedrals and very iconic. Could not go in but I would recommend doing a ticketing system where you can buy to go in because although it’s free, the queue almost circles the entire cathedral. Very pretty architecture and detailed, similar to the one in Milan.

The staff were organized and helpful, the flow of the gallery felt smooth even with crowds, and there’s a certain magic in the light that comes through those old windows. It’s the kind of place that lingers in your mind long after you leave.
A place worth visiting again, every time your heart needs a reminder of human imagination at its finest.

It was magnificent. As someone who isn't an art affectionado, it was a bit overwhelming in some ways. Take a walk through it at your pace, and don't worry about missing anything. By the time you are done with this and the other art museums (like the Gallery Accademia) you will be kinda art-ed out and it will blue together. Absolutely worth going to though overall. In my opinion, the Vasari Corridor is cool, but probably not worth it.
Very nice gallery, on par with other big museums and art galleries of the world (Louvre and co.). I highly recommend reserving a slot online otherwise the waiting times are very long. Botticelli, da Vinci....just go and see. You certainly will not regret it. And by the way, the best thing is that children and teens uo to 18 years of age have free entry!!! That's a great way to encourage families to make the kids aquainted with high end artistry 👍
Amazing art gallery and museum - Rembrandt, Michaelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and many more.
You could easily spend a day or more in here - if you're on a shorter time line like I was, check out the maps and decide which bits over the two floors you want to focus on.
Also lots of benches to sit down on and get off your feet for a moment which is great.
Good one! Great staff and amazing art collection. Some tips:
- Download official app for audio commentary about the exhibits. It worth few bucks to unlock all descriptions but it worth it.
- Highly recommend free Rick Steves audio guide for Uffizi Gallery. Download his app for your device and get a great tour for free!
- Cafe is overrated. High prices with poor food selection. The view is blocked by plants. Try to grab a bite before visiting the gallery.
- The staff is kind of strict regarding name on the ticket. Make sure that you have your ID or photo of your ID with you. Make sure that your name is on the ticket.
- Make sure that you enter within an hour of your ticket time. They are pretty strict about it.
- Everyone complained that it's crowded. Bit we visited on the week day in the middle of November and had no problems with crowds.
- Buying ticket on the day of your visit is cheaper than in advance.
- Views from the windows are amazing. Make sure to check them out.
- Didn't visit Vosario Corridor as it's too expensive for a corridor with white walls.
Superb experience at the Uffizi Gallery. The rooms are filled with high-quality paintings and sculptures—Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo—masterpieces everywhere. It’s very popular and can be crowded because so many people come, but it’s well organized and absolutely worth it. I easily spent 2–3 hours and could have stayed longer. A must-do in Florence; book ahead if you can.

This museum is a must see in Firenze. I booked a tour with a guide and was so happy I did. We got through security quickly and were able to see all the most.famous pieces with a rare insight into their origin and their place in history. I plan on going back again since there is so much to see. Definitely go. You will do glad you did.
Museum is huge and I advice visitors to go as early as they can to avoid the crowd. The Gallery was built in the 16th century and designed by Giorgio Vasari. It is famous worldwide for its sculptures and paintings. Collection is huge and includes some of the famous works from Botticelli, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Piero della Francesca, Giotto and many other. It requires approximately 3-4 hours to see most of things and to enjoy some of the masterpieces inside.

Such a beautiful experience! In order to see the beautiful views at the top, you have to walk about 10-15 minutes up an incline with stairs/ ramps. It's not too bad once you take your time. The view of Florence from the top of the Plaza is unreal, you have a panoramic view and can take great pictures. There are many food/ drink/ trinket vendors across the Plaza as well as benches to sit. It's free entry and you can stay as long/ little as you'd like. I highly recommend making the time to visit if you're in the area.

Magical. A stunning, free location where you are as high as the Duomo, and can see across the city with a vista that would rival any of the towers in the centre. Moreover, at sunset, it provides one of the best view of the bridges of Florence, and has a playful vibe. It feels safe, and the panoramic spot is not the only part to enjoy. There are shuttles to take you up there, but the walk up is not too challenging if you are see to walking up stairs a bit. Thing is to take your time. It is exposed, so in the height of summer would be a lot. But Spring and Autumn is perfect, and a little less bothered by the hawkers of jewellery and handbags who constantly appear. You might want to bring some food and water up, though there is a nearby eatery.
If you feel adventurous you can head further uphill to the Abbazia San Miniato for views higher up, but further away. For me, I find the Piazza Michelangelo is quite enough for the best views, higher isn’t always better.
I tried this view during midday, and sunset, but wasn’t here at night, though it felt safe enough I’d expect it would be fine, but check other reviews here.
There is a pretty route up from the Porta San Niccolo, approached from the Piazzetta di San Miniato.
This Piazza was one of THE highlights of my trip to Florence, I could have spent hours up here.
A must do when in Firenze. The ideal would be passing through Ponte Vecchio and walking down the river until you find the stairs with all the fountains. The view from the Piazzale is really amazing, lots of people though. From here you can have a wide view of the city and also from some amazing gardens. Unfortunately we had torrential rain as soon as we arrived there but it was well worth the visit.
It's a decent hike up the hill that's worth the effort.
You'll be rewarded by a great view of Florence and if you're lucky, a sunset over Florence is a majestic view after all. However, there are just too many tourists at the peak that might diminish your experience overall.
Piazzale Michelangelo is hands down one of the best places in Florence to catch the sunset. The panoramic view of the city is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and the entire skyline bathed in golden light. It’s one of those moments that make you fall in love with Florence all over again.
Be sure to arrive a little early — the place fills up quickly, especially around sunset. I took the bus up and was lucky to get on; several others had to wait because it was already packed. If you enjoy walking, you can also hike up from the river for a great workout and an even better reward at the top!
The atmosphere is fantastic — people chatting, musicians playing, couples dancing, and everyone just soaking in the magic of the view. It’s lively yet peaceful at the same time.
An unforgettable experience and one of the must-see spots in Florence. I’d come back in a heartbeat to watch the sun set over that beautiful city again.

You have to see the city from this view, it’s fantastic. We were there on a Sunday in November and although there was a decent sized crowd, it wasn’t overwhelming. I can imagine in the summer months this place is crawling with people especially at sunset.

There are a lot of people, but the place is big enough to find your own spot. There are also food trucks and places to eat and drink if you’re looking for that kind of experience.

We didn't really see much of the area. We stayed overnight at a hotel inside the walls and ate at Caffetteria Gelateria dell'Olmo. The restaurant was not good. Our hotel, Hotel Leon Bianco, was very nice and had a wonderful breakfast.

Beautiful walled medieval town, that was originally restored in 1800s, and probably the biggest attraction in Tuscany.
The towers were a sign of wealth, and the taller the tower, the wealthier the family that owned them.
They were originally built as protection against marauding neighboring townspeople, street scuffs, etc. these towers were connected to the residences of the owners.
You can climb the tallest tower in town, for 7 Euros.

A splendid cathedral, richly decorated inside. We hadn't bought tickets online, but lined up outside to buy tickets. The view of the cathedral from the square outside is fantastic. But what set it apart for us was the inside. The floors are covered in inlaid marble (I believe some of it is usually covered, but it wasn't when we were there), and there are many other fantastic pieces of art. Don't miss the small library to the side, also fantastic.
Afterwards we spent some time in the gift shop - it is pretty good.
A beautiful cathedral with beautiful artwork. It was reasonably old and had a bit of history to it as well. Tickets to see the cathedral was roughly 5 euros, but even the most expensive ticket to the museum, cathedral, and baptistry was the price of admission of a church in Florence, and was definitely reasonably priced.
The biggest thing is that if you come from the town square, you will see the baptistry first, which is NOT where the ticket office or the cathedral is, and you need to climb either the stairs or get to the cathedral's square.
Overall, was definitely worth seeing and was worth the day trip I took from Florence to see it.
A fabulous experience! Make sure though, that if you’re booking tickets in advance you are doing it for the one on SIENA, not FIRENZE. They look similar, but are in fact different. We got to go into the cathedral, museum (with the panoramic view), crypt, and baptistery. All very beautiful.

You look at this cathedral and the details of its construction and you wonder, how did they do this 800 years ago? (the cathedral was built in 1215). You definitely have to visit this cathedral. The entrance fee is €8 per person, but it's well worth it. The interior of this cathedral is something unimaginable.
Really just to say that I agree with the great majority of reviewers: Siena Cathedral is absolutely worth visiting. It looks great from the outside, perched on its hill, but the interior is even more impressive, with black and white stripes throughout. The ticket queue was quite long, so if you know ahead of time when you will be going it would make sense to book ahead.

What a place, this must be one of the best original urban squares ever. A photo taken a 100 years ago would probably look very much the same. Siena is such a beautiful town, if you are in Tuscany go and see for yourself. Love it.
We had a great day in Siena; you need a few hours walking through the alleys to see how beautiful the city is. Weekdays are definitely quieter than weekends. If you plan to visit Siena, try to do it between Monday and Thursday.

Open air 13th Century Abbey just outside of Siena. If this is something you’re into and enjoy – very much worth a visit. Looks spectacular from the outside and magical from the inside. Certainly unique. If you are not into architecture, historical buildings or church history, this is probably not for you. There is little explanation of the place once you’re there, so you need to ideally already be a fan or interested. Also visit the Chapel on the hill whilst you're in the area
There was an art exhibit when we were there which were really great to take photos. We had leave early because of a funeral.
Speechless spiritual place, knowing this place from Andrei Tarkovsky’s ‘Nostalgia’, as a metaphor of the protagonist’s memory and religious experience. No photos or documentaries can compare to being here personally, even if it might be an arduous trip for visitors without a car…
Historic place. Impressive to see and understand. When in the area take time visit and enjoy lunch at the nearby bar.

So special to experience these beautiful churches - up and down! We got to enjoy an English mass at 9am on Sunday. Touring with Rick Steeves podcast in our ear was great (also the town walk is so good). Loved the museum in the back.
The highlight of course was the crypt, to spend some time in the presence of St Francis. Well- we know his presence is with us in Christ, but so cool to see his tomb.
The Giotto frescoes are amazing and the ceilings- wow, that blue- I love it.
Lovely Medieval town - Assisi - famous for St Francis' Basilica, which we visited. Also had a lovely cappuccino but didn't stay for lunch. Escalators available to get you into the higher parts of town from all the car parks so no worries for older and less mobile visitors.
A must-see if in Umbria
Today's highlight. You don't want to miss this place when in Assisi. Prepare for a walk uphill and downhill. Travel light but bring some coins or bills for the offering and candles. There's plenty of good restaurants and giftshop in the area. Walking distance to visit the tombs of St. Clare and Saint Carlo Acutis.🙏🙏🙏
What an amazing experience to be able to come on a pilgrimage here. The church is very beautiful and full of meaning.
There is a tomb of St. Francis of Assisi under this church. There is also a museum, and a souvenir shop.
Don’t forget when you enter, there is a prayer paper that we can take and write, so that later we can bring it to the tomb area of St. Francis, and we give to the brothers here to pray.
Then don’t forget after shopping at the souvenir shop, bring it to the blessing section near the exit.
We visited here as part of a tour group, it has amazing art work throughout, its just a shame you can not take photos of your visit.
It is a very large complex and will stun you by its size, it gets busy and has some stairways that are narrow.
Another beautiful and amazing church in Italy, the Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi. We can visit the tomb, the mortal remaining of St Francis of Assisi, which was preserved since 1230. Also, this church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. there are two distinct churches: the Upper and Lower Basilicas. Visitors can explore intricate chapels adorned with remarkable artwork while learning about the rich history through audio guides.
A beautiful building with breathtaking murals inside. Photos are not permitted inside but it is well worth visiting. The murals are floor to ceiling and it's also a pleasant place to spend an hour out of the heat just admiring the works. ⛪

We had a 30-minute time frame to visit this spot and we enjoyed walking the town and only took pictures of the outside of this cathedral. You can see the stripes from a distance which indicates the side of the cathedral so it is relatively easy to find. The detail on the front of the cathedral is incredible and it was fun to stand and study it.

The Orvieto Cathedral is truly impressive. Its location on top of the hill structure naturally provides it with a well-protected position. The most striking feature is the exterior, where the gold-painted facade beautifully catches the sunset light. Inside, the sculptures and the overall aesthetic of the interior make for a very pleasant and rewarding visit.
As the most famous attraction in the city, this church is magnificent and rich in historical value. Legend has it that Michelangelo visited it in his youth to draw inspiration, which shows how profound its artistic value is. The church itself is not as magnificent as other churches in Rome, but the sculptures here convey the people's worship and longing for the church at that time. If you have enough time, I recommend purchasing a ticket to visit the underground city. Unfortunately, we arrived early this time and the guided tour had not yet started. I believe I will definitely visit the underground city next time I visit!
It's a massive Cathedral. The experience is amazing. It is as much a gallery of art as a place of worship. So as a mark of respect don't use camera inside the Cathedral.
For tourists, take a train from Rome, or Florence to Orvieto. Then the Funicular to the top of the hill.
There's a small fort and a underground place also for visitors.

The Duomo in Orvieto is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve visited in Italy. The outside is stunning — the front is full of detailed mosaics, sculptures, and gold decorations that shine in the sunlight. The walls are made of black and white stone in stripes, which makes it look very unique compared to other cathedrals.
Inside, the cathedral is peaceful and full of history. The most impressive part is the Chapel of San Brizio, where you can see amazing frescoes by Luca Signorelli. These paintings show scenes from the Last Judgment and the Apocalypse, and the emotion and detail in the faces are incredible. It’s hard to believe they were painted over 500 years ago.
Another highlight is the crypt, which many visitors miss. It’s small but very interesting, with ancient frescoes, old tombs, and Christian symbols. It feels like a hidden part of the cathedral that connects you to a much older time.
Overall, the Duomo is not just beautiful — it also tells many stories through its art and structure. If you’re in Orvieto, don’t miss it. It’s a perfect mix of architecture, art, and history in one place.

Absolutely worth every cent. This Cathedral is beautiful, there is only one Cathedral more beautiful and that's the Berliner Dom in Germany.

Such a magical place. Its surrealist stone sculpture garden. We were there in Jan but would have been great to be in warmer weather since its located in hilly landscape with streams and grass area. We spent about 1 hr walk around. Its easy terrain for slow walk but different elevation makes the park interesting. Love the face entryway, elephant sculpture and leaning building. Will definitely watch the movie where the entire movie scene was shoot in this park.
My husband and I brought our 4 kids on a Sunday. It was great, really beautiful and interesting, and there is a picnic area as well as a playground, both are excellent features, however, it is a small park and costs a family of 6 (with 4 children aged 13 and younger) 58 euros. There is no family rate. Furthermore, according to the website this will increase in January 2026. Would I recommend, yes. Do I think it was overpriced, yes, if you just walk through and dont spend time there. However, if you spend the entire day there it seems a better price :) also no refunds for bad weather.

So beautiful!! Unfortunately we came a bit late, at 15:30, 30 minutes before the falls are shut down for the day. It’s nice to stroll through the park regardless. But the park was closed entirely by 17:00, so I would advise to plan the visit time better than we did.

Absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. There are paths that make it fairly easy to walk up to view the various falls (you will get wet!). The temperature drops ten degrees when you reach the parking lot, which is an incredible treat in summer. Be sure to stay to see the falls turn off at 1pm or back on again at 3. Plenty of parking. The bus terminal is a little tricky to find in Terni. It’s not the main Terni station but is around the corner to the left after you walk out the front entrance of the station. There’s a dedicated shuttle just for the falls, but pay attention to times, or you’ll end up needing a taxi to get back to Terni (speaking from experience!).

The tallest artificial watetfall in the world! A beautiful, unconventional place – created by human intervention, yet so natural. It's worth devoting more time to exploring and hiking the entire trail, rather than just admiring the views from the upper terrace.

If you climb to the top of the dome, the view is absolutely worth it! You can see all of Vatican City, the rooftops of Rome, and the distant hills it’s truly magical. The climb can be steep, but reaching the top and looking down at the square is an unforgettable moment.
The basilica is well organized, and the staff maintain a respectful and peaceful environment. Entry is free, though lines can be long, so going early in the morning is a great idea.
Overall, St. Peter’s Basilica is not just a church it’s a journey through art, history, and faith. Whether you are religious or not, this place will touch your soul with its beauty and grandeur. An absolute must-visit when in Rome or Vatican City.

Awesome and powerful!!!! The artworks and architecture leave you feeling inspired and uplifted! This place is so holy. You feel the power of God here. The building itself is an architectural marvel, and the inside is filled with incredible works of art. It’s definitely worth the trip to see it, you will be amazed. If you can handle many stairs, it is definitely worth it to go to the top of the dome. There’s an elevator to take you halfway up, but you’ll have to climb the stairs the rest of the way and it’s not an easy climb. However, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can see the entire Vatican City and Rome. Be prepared for large crowds of tourists everywhere inside and outside! I went on a weekday during off-season and it was still packed. Loved all the artwork of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! All glory to God! Amen!
Another mind blowing historical architectural marvel! Entered via an entrance from underneath after visiting the Necropolis (did a tour, absolutely amazeballs... different review). Visited St Peter's Tomb underground (controversial but not for a google map debate ;)... thought provoking though!). Cool that I could walk 'upstairs' and see the High Alter that is situated directly above and how everything was built around the tomb after seeing the different levels below.

The bascillica/s were basically built to keep the remains of St Peter safe. The first bascillica was built in the 4th century and the current bascillica started in 1506 and took just over a century to build. In this timeframe 20 popes oversaw its development keeping the tomb protected.
Different artistic/architectural influences over time including Michelangelo's great hand which gives you some idea of the vibe there.

The visit to Saint Peter's Basilica was a must see, especially during special religious days or events. The wait line to get in was long, but it moved fairly quickly. Security was easy to get through. Once in the Basilica you will be struck with beautiful and awe at the size, splendor, and beauty of the space. Every wall is decorated. The dome is absolutely beautiful. Even though there were many people inside there was a dedicated space for personal prayer near the front of the alter. There is so much detail and history within the walls of Saint Peter's and the Vatican. I would most definitely recommend anyone to visit Vatican City and step into the Basilica.

Although it is very busy and touristy around the pantheon most days, we would still recommend everyone to make time during their stay in Rome and visit this incredible site. The structure is truly phenomenal with such incredible detail. That it has survived for so many years is a true testament to the architecture and the build of this incredible and fascinating structure.
Lineups can be long to get inside but well worth the wait.
There are several wonderful little cafés in the area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or even a beer or wine while you admire The Pantheon while enjoying a drink or a snack.
We would highly recommend The Pantheon to be a part of your visit in Rome.

One of the most unique underrated structures in the entire world. Unreinforced concrete dome that is near perfect sphere. No documentary does this place any justice. You must see it in person and experience the grandeur of standing inside and seeing it firsthand. Worth every cent and the time taking in the moment. I am still in awe that I visited it and spent some time inside, I will never forget my trip to Rome because of this amazing structure.
An interesting experience. The structure and its interior are impressive. We bought the tickets as an add-on to our reservation through Booking.com. The place looks beautiful both at night and during the day. I recommend it.
The Pantheon truly impressed me. Stepping inside and seeing the oculus lighting the interior felt surreal. The building is incredibly well-preserved and beautifully balanced. Even with the crowds, it felt peaceful. Entry now costs 5 euros, but the experience is absolutely worth it. One of Rome’s most unforgettable landmarks.

A must visit when in Rome. An architectural masterpiece. Being incredibly well maintained, One is able to see the Pantheon as the Roman’s would have seen it in their time. Pictures don’t do it justice. I would recommend getting their early morning 9am so you beat the crowds. The audio guide (most languages) is available once you are inside. At 10 euro it is fantastic value as it gives a great understanding of all things about the Pantheon. Entry is quite cheap too, you can cover it all in an hour!

The Trevi Fountain absolutely exceeded my expectations. Its sheer size and detail are breathtaking, especially with the sound of rushing water echoing around the square. I joined everyone in tossing a coin for luck, it’s impossible not to. Even with the crowds, the atmosphere feels magical and unmistakably Roman.
Yes, it's beautiful, but unfortunately the chaos surrounding this place makes it much less attractive. There's so many people (like almost everywhere), it's impossible to relax and enjoy this beauty. The experience is more like: quick, let's try to make a picture and leave. While in Rome I went there several times and during several periods of the day and it was always packed. I even check the webcams once at 2am and there were still people there!
Absolutely beautiful, and obviously VERY busy hot-spot for tourists! The only thing that ruins it is rude, entitled influencer/ tourists that block the visit/ view for everyone else, selfishly taking photos and selfies for over 20 minutes. However, this doesn't detract from the stunning monument and it's attraction for Rome! You can queue (average 1-1.5 hours) to get closer to the fountain if you have time.
The fountain is really beautiful. We came in the evening on a rainy day, and luckily there were not that many people. They seemed to allow people to get closer to the fountain in the lower floor every now and then. We didn’t wait for it since the view from the ground floor was already good enough.
A dream come true! We went during the day and returned at night to enjoy one of the most magnificent fountains in Rome! Wonderful family experience while touring Itay! This was one of the highlights we were looking forward to and superseded our expectations!

It's definitely one of the must see place. It truly stands it's popularity and what a architectural masterpiece. I would definitely recommend buying tickets in advance or best way to do is via tour guide. You would need a photo ID to enter whether you are going by yourself or through tour guide.
We enjoyed the entire experience and learning about how gladiators used to use this place. Untill I visited the place I never knew it's complexity and vastness.
We travelled as a family with a child. We were told not to take pram as pathways are not smooth, but it's manageable.

Was a great site to see while on tour around the Eternal City. They recently cleaned the facade of the building so the stone is now clean and bright. Its usually very crowded for most of the day unless you come early in the morning. The guides were very nice and gave us a lot of cool information about the history of the Colosseum. Definitely a great place to see at least once while visiting Rome.
We had 8:45 tickets and arrived at 8:15. Once it opened at 8:30 the line moved very well. When buying tickets you have to purchase the additional museums or sites at that time you can't add them on, so be aware. We missed out on several areas because you can't add them to your ticket, and can't purchase them at the location. The Colosseum was not what I expected. I expected a big sand center, and it is not that. But it was interesting. The archeological site is spectacular. We spent 4.5 hours in total and if you had the additional sites it would easily be a full day. I ran out of energy at about the time we finished. Our plan is always go to the right, the right, the right, so that you don't go down a path that leads you away from other things. In this case it paid off because there was an area to the right where you follow a faux wood boardwalk and it takes you under a road and all the way to an incredible obelisk. Many of the sites we have been to have paper maps, and yes you can use your phone but a paper map would have been really helpful.
This was cool. As a tourist from outside Italy this was a cool thing to do. We did a tour and our tour guide was excellent, highly recommend. Our tour guide was called Valerio and he knew so much history, for any question you had he had an answer to. Highly recommend doing a tour. This was a neat part of history to see in Italy and very cool to see it in person.
The Roman Colosseum is truly one of the world’s wonders , absolutely beautiful and completely spectacular to see in person. The amount of ancient history that took place there is incredible, and you can really feel it as you walk around. The lines can get pretty long, especially if you’re traveling with a group, but I was traveling solo and was able to slip through pretty quickly. Definitely recommend buying tickets ahead of time if you want to go inside. That said, it’s also really easy (and free!) to explore the outside, which is just as impressive. An unforgettable experience and a must-see when in Rome.

It's exactly what you would expect. Beautiful and historic. We went earlier in the morning. Walked right in before the crowds. Buy your tickets in advance as they do sell out. We did the arena floor tickets and were able to spend over the time inside as I wasn't too busy yet. This ticket also comes with the Palatine Hill area as well which is a huge site of historical buildings and a museum you can walk through. Well worth your time. Make sure you budget a few hours for this walk but it's definitely worth it to see.

It's huge building around 2000 years old build in less than 50 years. Capacity was around 50 000 people , and it was possible to fullfiled it with water , how amazing !

Villa d’Este is a must see in Tivoli. It is a wonderful place to visit, tranquil and beauty is around every corner. It is not somewhere to rush around but to relax and enjoy.
There are so many fountains and pools to see, not to mention the stunning trees, planting and stunning views. Well worth the €10 entry.

⛲️ Absolutely gorgeous gardens and fountains that are gravity powered! We spent a good three hours here just roaming and taking everything in. We took so many photos! The light and views are spectacular.

We bought our tickets online a week before.
I visited last weekend 18th Oct and would recommend coming after October 23rd only because there’s no water running through the famous cascades and pools during this period. Even so, the villa and gardens remain impressive for their architecture, perspectives and atmosphere. If possible, plan your visit between 3 and 6:00 pm, the light is softer, perfect for photos and the crowds are noticeably smaller. Despite the absence of water, the site still offers a fascinating glimpse into Renaissance grandeur and is definitely worth seeing at least once.
Beautiful grounds. I would have given 5 stars but the water was shut off for maintenance or perhaps for the season when we went in October . I looked on line the night before visiting to see if it was posted on the website which it was not. You don’t get to capture the full beauty without the fountains. Beauty to see inside ! I would suggest going when fountains are on!
Fantastic villa and gardens - a peaceful oasis. We could only imagine what it must be like when the 200 fountains are functioning! Our misfortune to visit during a 2 week maintenance window... However, still worth wandering the paths, listening to birdsong and enjoying the gardens.
I am not sure how we found the villa as a destination for our Rome trip. Probably social media video somewhere. But boy we are so happy to spend a day here. We did not spent much in the museum part, but just walking up and down the garden, going to every fountain, taking pictures. Absoltely, breathtakingly beautiful. Must see. In late October when we were visiting, the Sun is setting along the main axis of the fountains, shining and orange glow over the park. Makes it difficult to take some photos, but help is many other way.
Make sure to purchase the audio guide from the ticket office. This villa was a wonderful experience. Make sure to give yourself a couple of hours for the gardens alone. I’m not a huge garden person when visiting estates or villas, but this was stunning and we wished we had more time to explore all the paths and fountains.
Extraordinary luxurious place which is well maintained and combed. Definetely worth to visit. Connections from Rome are good and cheap, traveling time around 1 hour.

It's a good place for family to chill and have fun. Each shows has their own stadium and shedule which it is convenient not to missed (they pinned the schedule at the guide map nearby the stadiums).
The shows includes seal, dolphins and parrots which, quite spectacular. As well as, a sitcom mascot (shows for kids).
Additional, nearby seal shows stadium they have penguin and seal aquarium where you can watch them. I noticed photoshoot* available with penguins and dolphins (after the shows)
Other than that, they have waterslides both big and small. Quite fun indeed.
Apart from that, roller coaster and water coaster (was not available during the visit), that sure gives adrenaline rush. And, pirate boat water sprinkles suitable for kids and teens. The boat move slowly so it's safe.
Extra, a 4D cinema which I think, very much suitable for kids viewer.
Restaurants are available but kind a pricy. However, there's another options nearby - foodhut and cafe, which more affordable prices.
Overall experience was good. However, I do feel the target market are more for young children and teens based on the activities and layout of the compounds. They're not too big so kids won't be lost easily. If they're lost, it's easy to find👍

⚠️The downside, the place is very crowded (probably it was weekends). Perhaps during weekdays are much better to go so, be able to enjoy more of the water park.

This park was really good, despite there being very few rides, with most of them being either broken or in need of a refurb. Costs €5 extra to get into the Nintendo experience, so make sure you book online since my family didn't (somehow). The fact that Mario, Sonic, Harry Potter and Topo Gigio are incorporated into the park is amazing, especially since it attracts both English and Italian speaking tourists to the park. There needs to be more sunbeds and rides as well since there weren't many. I think the Zoomarine in the Algarve is a tad better as it has more space and more rides, and also has rides that are of better quality. I would definitely recommend this! Also, there needs to be more English on the signage, I can't speak or understand that much Italian as I'm an Irish tourist :)
We really liked this waterpark. They offer various shows for families as well as a large selection of pools and joy rides. It has a bit of everything and you deffinetly need a day to be able to enjoy everything. I recommend buying tickets online to skip the queues.

Beautiful place, dolphins are so happy… however… seals need much more space. They seem very depressed and it’s not a good look for this park. They deserve a place where they can waddle, swim freely and relax.. the3x2metre cages they are in are not enough!
The other aspects of the park are beautiful, the aquarium, butterfly atrium and rides are incredible and worth a visit.
I really loved my time here but felt guilty to support a place where the seals are unhappy.. please respect your seals and make them as happy as the dolphins!
Great experience and lovely rides and shows. The place is really big so make sure you get there early and you have a lot of stamina as there are tons of things to do and see. You have to pay 5 euros for the car park, which we did not see in the prepaid tickets we bought online. Also, there are some awesome bundle packages online. The place is super clean and the kids loved it. The dolphin show is amazing but better still pay for the one on one sessions a bit more expensive but worth the price. Have fun!
terrible restaurant service,waiting more then 1 hour to get lunch, only 2 tills inside and hundreds of people. also till works very slow.also looks very diserted place, half pools dont work and all is dirty. only good thing are the animals but costs extra money.
This place gave us horrible experience. The pool is extremely disgusting. Full of leaves and so much mold around that will make you sick. The food is dirty and there were no places to sit and the staff didn't treat us like there customer at all. I don't reccomens comming here ever as a tourist because it's very toxic.

Had a lovely day today. We were very pleasantly surprised. Good sized park, which was well maintained in most areas. Some slight attention to detail around weeding around some rides would improve this slightly but that is me just being picky.
Food prices were ok for a theme park. 5 of us ate for just under €70 which would be very difficult to do in a UK theme park and notably drinks were ok too, €3.50 for a coke zero and €2 for water.
The main reason for 4 out of 5 was due to a few rides being out of action. We wanted to go on the rapids and were told they would reopen but unfortunately didn't or if they did we missed it. Also the sky viewing platform ride was also shut.
We visited as two adults and really enjoyed the day. The park is very clean and beautifully maintained. There are a couple of really exciting attractions - especially Shock, which will definitely not leave you indifferent.
The water rides are also a lot of fun - particularly Le Rapide, the round raft ride that gives you absolutely no chance of staying dry. 😅 A perfect mix of thrills and fun, highly recommended!
I dont know why i seen so many complaints about this place saying it's expensive or staff are rude i experienced the opposite of that. They where all friendly and happy and compared to theme park prices this place was very very cheap no long waits in the lines longest wait was for the horror stuff beside that everything else was like 3mins wait or less 100% would recommend this especially for a family

I spent the day at MagicLand with friends — we had fun, especially on the roller coasters!
The park is nice and clean, but the lines were pretty long and food inside was pricey. Still, it’s a great option for a weekend trip near Rome.
The place itself is great and a lot of fun. It felt safe, and both the restrooms and different areas were clean.
However, the pricing is tricky. Online tickets are supposed to be cheaper, but we never received the validation code for registration, so we couldn’t complete the online purchase.
We were also charged extra items with the food we ordered, which didn’t feel fair.
Additionally, not all staff members spoke English, or not at a sufficient level, which made communication difficult at times.
I had an amazing time at Magic Land! The park is full of fun attractions, and everything is so well-organized. The highlight of my visit was the fantastic show at the theater—absolutely enchanting! The New Year decorations and compositions were stunning and really created a magical holiday atmosphere. This place is perfect for families and anyone looking for unforgettable entertainment. Highly recommend!

Il Monastero is a unique hotel that offers five star quality surroundings, staff and food. The lush gardens, beautiful views, tranquil and relaxed feeling … it’s a special place you really need to absorb and take in. Multiple nights suggested: Ischia offers plenty for 3-4 days and is better enjoyed without a rush. And Il Monastero offers the perfect stay.
Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The location is incredible - you’re staying in a unique monument with views that are out of this world (even considering Italian standards). The family owned hotel is very tastefully decorated with art made by several of the family members - perfect blend of history with contemporary touches. The breakfast was another highlight - varied and delicious ingredients. Loved the cafeteria as well that offered varied frames over the bay and sea under the trees. The garden was just incredibly beautiful. Service was outstanding, including the proactive help we got with managing our luggage up and down the hill.

My recent visit to Il Monastero Hotel was a wonderful experience, set against one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable. From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff made us feel incredibly welcome, taking the time to explain everything we needed to know for our stay.
Our room, #21, was a particular highlight. It was not only spacious and comfortable but also featured a balcony with truly spectacular views that we couldn't get enough of. The evening atmosphere was lovely as well. We enjoyed drinks and a decent dinner in a beautifully set environment. Dinner was Ok.
While the stay was wonderful overall, a couple of things could be improved. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the experience. The coffee, in particular, was quite poor, and it felt a little limiting when the staff only offered "espresso or cappuccino" to guests. I believe with a little more training, the breakfast service could easily match the high standards of the rest of the hotel.
Keep in mind that there are few stairs to climb, the lift went out of service during our last night. While we enjoyed the experience of walking up to the hotel, others might find it difficult.
I highly recommend using the parking lot about a 12-minute walk away. It was a convenient solution for keeping our car overnight.
Despite these minor points, our stay was truly special and I would absolutely go back one day to experience the unique charm and incredible views that Il Monastero offers.
This experience was truly unique: to be accommodated in such a fabulous castle, with a breathtaking view and a team of staff that are absolutely the kindest possible.
Il Monastero is the only place in Ischia which can offer such experience. We are truly grateful for being able to live it just before the season ended!

The Albergo II Monastery is a magnificent blend of history and hospitality - an old Monastery and caslte lovingly converted into a hotel. The setting is stunning, with breathtaking gardens and panoramic views over the island that are simply unforgettable (especially if you are there on the Feast of St Anna - amazing view on the fireworks). The food is outstanding: organic refined, flavorful, and of an exceptional quality. The staff are warm, attentive and go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The design and aesthetics are nice, creating an elegant and serene atmosphere. Overall, a beautiful and memorable stay.
It is a little sad that the building's original monastic identity has been almost entirely erased - especially in such a historic comple, in a country with deep Catholic roots like Italy. The rooms, while comfortable, could benefit from slight renovations to add more "wow" factor, comfort and a stronger sense of character.
It was such a treat to stay here! A unique experience and outstanding views. Super cool to explore the site, eat at an upscale restaurant, and friendly staff too.
