Absolutely wonderful place for the family. Lots to do, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. No matter the weather this is a great year round activity. After you have paid you don’t need to worry about anything else, your wrist band is your locker key and how you pay at the bar. On the way out scan your wrist band on the pay machine and pay for your drinks.

I have absolutely loved it. There are so many things to do: water slides, outdoor and indoor pool, pool bar, sauna and so on. There are also facilities to people with children. Minuses: - Towel is not included, so bring yours. - We did not find any water fountains.

Worth doing at least once ! I really enjoy the place… you can just swim on top, or slide in the tube with the kids!! Or just relax on the other level, where water is just so great…

I have visited this location during both the winter and late summer seasons, and the views were consistently impressive. The water temperature was notably pleasant. While the buildings exhibit some age, the environment offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Furthermore, the pricing is quite reasonable, especially for Swiss standards. The facility also provides a small dining area for guests who wish to bring and consume their own meals.

I liked the landscape and the diversity of options, both indoors and outdoors. I didn't find the installations particularly beautiful, but they were clean, perfectly working, and all seemed fairly priced. We didn't wait, and the employees were very welcoming.

The main indoor and outdoor pools look newly renovated and are in excellent condition. There’s also a children’s pool and a small play area, which makes it great for families. The spa area is in good shape, though a bit small. It includes a steam bath, three or four saunas at different temperatures, and a cold-water pool outside. The spa area is nude-only, and access to it costs an additional 15 CHF. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

I’m glad I ignored the handful of negative reviews, which mostly are from a few years ago. These thermal baths are quiet, in a stunning location and with helpful, friendly staff. The view from the outdoor pool is beautiful, the spa “village” is very good and the Aufguss - every two hours - was excellent; the man who led it was a master with the towels! The Roman-Irish bath was well done - sure, it’s not Baden-Baden and the facilities are a bit tired in places, but I’m very pleased I made the trip.

Wanted somewhere to relax after a day waking in the mountains and was going to go to one of the other pools after reading the reviews. The other place was too busy for me so decided to ignore the reviews and try here. So glad we did. The pools are lovely and the outdoor pool has a stunning view It wasn't at all crowded and so relaxing. Yes the changing rooms may need an update and some of the lockers too but they were clean and the staff helpful and friendly

The Spa/ Therme is in a bad condition. In the shower the handle fall off, lights are broken, the floor in the water is dirty. Multiple elevators are broken. One Sauna is out of orders for years and I payed 40.- CHF for 3h. All that said, it's a shame cause the building itself is beautiful and has a great view. And the idea of an underground Sauna village is also beautiful. Because it's so run down you also have not many people around either what is nice at least. Of you owner of this spa reading this review: Please please please renovate this spa! It would be a shame to see it go under.

we were checking this place out to experiance another thermal spring in leukerbad. sadly this place wasnt worth going since it was almost deserted (including the mal which was almost dead (most shops where closed for good and empty), and the baths were poorly visited (mid july!). it was a weird experience. economicaly this doesnt seem to check out anymore. also lots of stuff in bad shape and poorly maintained.

It feels unrealistic to be able to take a hot spring bath in the middle of the Alps. The hotel is quite spacious and convenient. The surrounding scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and doesn't let you take your eyes off it. Maybe that's why everyone I meet greets kindly each other.

This was my first time skiing for me and my daughter. Our instructor Asbjorn was very patient and friendly. But above all he gave us confidence, so we improved rapidly and made us even doing a short red piste being completely in control.

Great experience with the booking and ski instruction too. Ash was really considerate but pushed me to realise my potential. I really did learn from Ash and put this into practice while skiing with the family and friends in the afternoon. With best wishes, Yvonne

My son and I had an awesome private ski lesson from Mat. He was super courteous, patience, competent instructor. He let us have our own pace (never pushy) yet taught us all the basic principles and forms as well as important tips such as you never look down or look at your skies when skiing. He made sure we got our forms down correctly and challenged us to improve our forms. He made our time so worthwhile and fun. By the end of the session, we both felt confident and highly satisfied with our day. I highly recommend him for your ski lessons! Thank you so much Mat!

I wanted my son to brush up on his skiing this August after his travel baseball season ended in July. He played football last school year but decided to join the high school ski team this winter. Since he hadn't skied very often the last couple seasons I contacted Ski Zenit and asked if they could help him shake off the rust. Since this is a camp for experienced ski racers we opted for a 5 day private lesson on the Saas Fee glacier. Rich was my Ski Zenit contact and he couldn't have been more accomodating. He planned our transportation from Geneva and laid out everything we would need to be prepared and make this excursion a success. My son's ski instructor, Chris, sent us daily videos and kept us informed of his progress. He improved dramatically over the week and we couldn't be happier with his progress. Way to go Ski Zenit!

Had a great experience taking lessons with Chris! He taught us so much in two days; I felt much more confident after just our first lesson. Chris was able to tailor the lessons very well to everyone’s skill level, and took us to a variety of terrains where we practiced and improved on various techniques. I would 10/10 recommend Chris and Ski Zenit if you want to improve your skiing and have fun doing it!

Amazing lesson- my first time to take private lessons. Finally after years of trying to learn I feel more confident! My instructor, Max, was fantastic! Patient and great company. He made it look so easy. The staff had excellent communications before we arrived as well. Highly recommended.

I had an incredible experience with Ski Zenit! After 28 years away from skiing, I decided to book a private lesson, and I was lucky enough to have Chris as my instructor. His teaching approach was clear, patient, and highly effective. In just one session (2.5h), he taught me the essential skills I needed to move forward confidently. Chris made everything easy to understand and apply, and his encouragement was incredibly motivating. I can't recommend Ski Zenit and Chris enough – if you're looking to improve or get back into skiing, this is the place to start!

I had an amazing experience with Max as my ski instructor! He was incredibly patient and kind throughout the lesson, always encouraging me and making me feel comfortable. Max helped me regain my confidence on the slopes, and thanks to his expert guidance, I managed to conquer an icy red slope without fear. I couldn't have done it without him! We booked the trainer Ellen for 1 week. We had so much fun and where able to ski on the first day. Ellen is quit and very professional. We had really a great time. Gurten is a truly wonderful mountain with breathtaking views over Bern and the Alps. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a perfect spot for hiking, relaxing, or simply enjoying nature.

Recommend going on a sunny day, and preferably not Sunday. The toboggan ride was closed and views were good but not great (it was raining). If you’re staying at a hotel in Bern, your guest pass will allow you to ride the funicular for free. You could also hike up/down. We walked to Gurtendorf which was a sweet, tiny, village with a dairy farm. It’s definitely chillier and windier due to the elevation gain so pack a light jacket!

It takes only 10 minutes to reach this place from the main station (tram 9). After a five minute ride you will be able to enjoy a fantastic view of Bern and if the day is quite clear you will be able to spot mountains far away in all directions! If you travel with kids there is a playground here and also a restaurant. Perfect place for hiking and you can also bring your bicycle here!

The highest point of Bern. You can get a great view of Bern and on a clear day you get a mesemerizing view of the Alps as well . Nice place for a picnic with friends and family. It's a huge area on top and you can spend a few hours enjoying the view from different sides. Has a play area/ activity area for kids. And also a restaurant. Either take a funicular or climb up the hill. Both experiences are awesome.

Beautiful peak with 360 degrees view of the entire area. To get to the mountain top you can either take the tram (half priced for Swiss pass) or take the walking trail up. Portions of the trail has stairs and paved road making it very easy to climb. On top there are restroom facility, restaurant and amusement park, not to mention a spectacular view.

Marvelous architecture. You can just sit inside for hours. The tower is a bit of hard climb but it is beyond worth it. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the entire city and the river. Really love it, highly recommended.

The Cathedral of Bern is truly a stunning landmark with impressive architecture and a commanding presence in the city. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to go inside or climb the tower due to the opening hours — we arrived in the evening and left the next morning. It was a bit disappointing and sad, as we would have loved to explore it fully. Even from the outside, the cathedral is beautiful and worth visiting. A must-see for anyone in Bern, and definitely a reason to plan a longer visit next time!

Visited the Bern Cathedral and the climb to the top is definitely worth it. The view from up there is crazy, you can see the whole city, the river, everything. It’s one of those spots where you just stop and take it all in. At the top, there was this older gentleman working there who was honestly one of the highlights. He was super friendly and took the time to explain what we were looking at, the history, the mountains in the distance, and some really interesting details we wouldn’t have noticed on our own. Just a really good, genuine conversation. Made the experience feel personal. The cathedral itself is beautiful and detailed, but that view and the kindness up top really made it memorable.

The main portal of Bern Minster is one of the most complete collections of Late Gothic sculpture. The tympanum depicts the Last Judgment, carved entirely by Erhard Küng, which gives the ensemble a remarkable unity of design. The wicked are shown naked on the right and the righteous clothed in white on the left, while in the center Archangel Michael holds a raised sword, overseeing the fate of souls. Flanking the doors, the left side depicts the five Foolish Virgins, the right side the Wise Virgins. The Dance of Death (Danse Macabre) stained glass window in Bern Minster was created in 1519 and depicts skeletons leading people from all walks of life—kings, clergy, peasants, and children—toward death, emphasizing the inevitability and universality of mortality. Bern Minster (Berner Münster), begun in 1421 and completed with its 100-metre tower in 1893, is the tallest church in Switzerland and a landmark of late Gothic architecture. It became Protestant in 1528 during the Reformation. The church has a three-aisled basilica plan with slender columns, high rib-vaulted ceilings, and flying buttresses supporting the nave, exemplifying the vertical emphasis and detailed craftsmanship typical of the late Gothic.

The church provided vital history about city and people. Always fascinating to see evolution of architecture over the centuries. Amazing how items like seating areas have been preserved since the late 1400’s.

Get the chance to go all the way up to see the city of Bern with a panoramic view. It costs 6chf to go up, but you will enjoy it. Just make sure to be a bit fit as it is a lot of stairs. The last entrance is at 16h30.

An amazing experience and a chance to see some brown bears in real life. Great for kids but also adults who miss their childhood. Right next to the river, the park is both scenic and entertaining.

I recently visited the Bear Park in Bern and it was such a delightful experience! Nestled along the scenic banks of the Aare River, the park offers a peaceful and natural environment where bears roam freely in spacious enclosures that mimic their natural habitat. The bears looked healthy and well cared for, and it was heartwarming to see them play, rest, and interact with their surroundings. The park is free to enter, which makes it a wonderful stop for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing moment in the city. It’s also just a short walk from the old town, so it’s easy to include in a day of sightseeing. Overall, Bear Park is a beautiful blend of nature, education, and conservation. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bern!

It’s quite astonishing to see a bear park right in the middle of the city — a truly unique setting. The enclosure is spacious, well-designed, and blends beautifully with the natural surroundings along the river. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it as comfortable as possible for the bears. Still, it’s a reminder that the animals are in captivity, which can feel a bit bittersweet despite the excellent care they receive.

The views are quite beautiful, and the bears are adorable, but I feel terrible they don't have more space to roam around in. They did build a little section in the river so when it is hot, the bears can at least cool down and fish :)

Love that they have a bear refuge near the city. They have so much room to roam. I would suggest adding more signs not to feed the bears or be fined. I saw some stupid kid form a different country throw something down in the bear area and the parents didn’t do anything.

Fantastic river walk along the Aare ends up at Bear Park. Complete with Bears! Stop off to spend some CHF for beers and food up top for great views.

We were not able to have a table by the side, with the amazing view as we had not made a reservation. We came here on a whim. We were given 2 other seating options, 1 which we were warned we would be hit by the sun soon and the other on the other side near the kids playground on the high chair stools and table. The waitress who served us was super busy, there was a large party of 10 or so and lots of other small tables she was serving. She did her best to keep everyone happy. There was a bit of a wait time to order. Once the food came, it tasted good. However due to being summer, wasps started to appear and take over. The toilets are inside, downstairs, they were clean. Upon exiting the building we saw a huge amount of salad plates ready to go just sat on the side. Overall, it was good.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the city. In a hot summer day you will not be able to dine inside because it’s extremely hot and there isn’t AC. We dined at the patio and unfortunately were invaded by dozens of flies as soon as our food was received. We prompted to move everything inside. Service is mediocre.

I loved it. They place is very nice and clean, with outstanding views. Service is great and fast. I took the chicken sandwich for a quick lunch and it was very good.

If you choose to come from the down town of Bern; be prepared to pull enough energy to walk up thru the hill, which is a nice little warm up and workout before arriving to the restaurant. Also, it’ll be great to spot coupe or bears from the bridge while heading to the restaurant.

We were in the area on vacation and decided to take a train down to Thun and look around. The castle is very prominent on the skyline and looks quite interesting. We walked though the building and looked at the various displays which were well done. Centuries of history briefly summarized. The building itself is the main attraction. We went all the way to the top into the corner towers. The roof structure was amazing. Definitely recommend!

Castle Thun is a must-see when visiting the town! The displays and information are well-curated, making it easy to explore everything in just 2–3 hours. There are also interactive sections, like the wooden architecture exhibit in the attic and rooftop area, and the fascinating collection of ancient armors and weapons. The castle is well-maintained, easy to navigate, and offers a great balance of history and experience.

Worth the trip. The castle is stunning and you can see artefacts of the Old Swiss Confederacy, such as halberds, tapestries and armors. The Knight's room and the room under the roof where particularly stunning. On top of that, 4 towers flanking the roof are accessible and give you wonderful views of the city

The basic castle tour was interesting, but I was disappointed to find that there were virtually no period furnishings in any of the rooms. The audio tour aid added tremendously to the understanding of the castle history. Look closely, though, to find the signs which indicate when to use the audio aid. I recommend paying the extra fee to use it. I enjoyed the views from the tower. I paid extra for the special exhibit, which I didn't feel was worth the fee; skip it unless you are interested in forms of medieval punishment.

Definitely do the audio tour if you come here! Beautiful castle with a lot of history and amazing views from the top! No need to book tickets in advance

Thun castle does not match the vibe of other castles of Switzerland like Gruyère castle and Chillion castle. The castle is poor in terms of content and exhibits. Not much to explore inside. The staff is very friendly and there are free locker rooms available to keep your luggage. The best part was the top level of Thun castle from where you get 4 different panoramic views of Thun city and Lake Thun. If you are visiting Thun city then definitely visit this place otherwise skip it. Entry to Thun castle is free with Swiss Travel Pass.

Lake Thun is an absolutely stunning and romantic lake! I visited in 2019 with my family, and it was truly a memorable experience. Lake Thun is absolutely stunning! The serene waters and beautiful surrounding hills create a perfect atmosphere for families. Our children loved exploring the lakeside, watching the ducks, and simply enjoying the fresh air. Plenty of space to walk, relax, and soak in the views. A truly memorable spot that’s perfect for a family outing!

A dreamlike corner of Switzerland: Lake Thun Switzerland is breathtaking in every way, but Lake Thun has a special kind of magic. Surrounded by mountains, charming villages, and historic castles, it’s the perfect place to disconnect, breathe in fresh air, and marvel at nature. The water has a mesmerizing turquoise color, and every spot looks like it belongs on a postcard. Whether you’re sailing, strolling along the shore, or simply sitting down to take in the view, this lake offers peace and beauty in its purest form.

Enjoyed this boat ride especially on a nice weather day. View was gorgeous.

Lake Thun has absolutely amazing scenery. We spent almost an entire day there and still couldn't get enough. Starting in the morning, we enjoyed the view from St. Beatus Cave, getting a panoramic picture of the lake from above. Then we continued our adventure by ship, circling the lake and savoring every corner. The lake has very clear water, with beautiful typical farmhouses and the Swiss Alps in the background, adding to the picturesque setting. Every corner of the lake was stunning, perfect for healing and taking a break from your busy life.

The morning view of Lake Thun from Beatenberg is simply breathtaking and worth waking up early for.

The castle's history, from its construction to the present day, is very interesting. The castle garden invites you to linger. I think it must be particularly beautiful in spring and summer.

The castle was closed the day we went to Brig, but the garden itself is worth the visit. It was quiet, a perfect place for a picnic with an astonished view. Toilets are available. Highly recommended

Nice Palace, but without a guide, you can't explore the interior at all. My bf and I ended up sitting out in the gardens feeding sparrows for an hour (which was lovely). Admission is free.

Late this freezing cold January Sunday afternoon we visited this magnificent 17th century castle in the very center of the old town of Brig, that previously was unknown to us. We were all by ourselves and could enjoy the sun progressively setting on the western facade of the castle with shadows of the naked trees being projected on the pale yellow color of the building. Our only regret was that we had not arranged for a visit to the interior but that will be a good project for a future visit.

There was a wedding going on when we arrived, so it felt rude to go in. Can't tell you much about the interior. Spent our time outside in the park. Nice kempt garden with students and kindergartens in all directions, but they were well behaved and not offensive. Lovely views and nice weather. Park at the train station and walk up. Plenty of touristy stuff around the area, so well catered for.

I haven't been inside the castle and only been to the courtyard and outside park of palace. It is an impressive palace and courtyard. If you are in Brig and have 30-45 mins, take a short walk from Bahnof through the old town to the palace. It is totally worth your time. You can have a guided tour for which you will need more time. Hopefully next time, I will be able to do it.

Visiting Schilthorn Piz Gloria was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip. The cable car ride itself was an incredible experience, smooth, comfortable, and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. As we ascended, the scenery just kept getting more and more spectacular. At the top, the weather was perfect, which made the whole experience even more magical. The 360° views from Piz Gloria are truly stunning with snow-capped peaks, valleys, and endless mountain ranges that leave you speechless. The Bond-themed touches add a fun and unique twist to the visit, but the natural beauty alone is worth every penny. It’s not just a sightseeing trip, it’s an unforgettable adventure. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, I can confidently say this was worth every moment and every cent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland!

Somewhat pricey to take the gondola up to the top, but it's well worth it for the views. There is a bunch of James Bond history and plaquards. But the views alone are breathtaking. You should fefinitely wait for a clear day, othe you'll just be looking at the fog.

Break taking views! Certain areas were under construction, but it did not take away from our experience. Be sure to walk out to the point and enjoy time in one of the viewing boxes.

Was the filming location of a 007 movie. Granted it is not as high as Jungrafraujoch, but the views are equally fantastic. Highly recommended to make a trip here. There is a rotating restaurant at the tower area also as well that serves very decent buffet lunch.

Great experience. The cable car on the first stretch is supposedly the steepest in the world. Remembered to include the 9 Euro cheese / cold cut option, which is served at the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant. It comes with a drink and there was plenty of food to fill us up. And it tasted good, too. So pretty much a no-brainer. The view from the top was great. Unfortunately clouds descended while we were there and it even started to hail. Which kind of added to the whole experience. Some cool James Bond stuff - check out the bathroom mirrors! Unfortunately quite a lot of construction going on, which detracted from the whole experience. Will still give it 5 stars, but probably more like 4.5 due to construction, high cost and a very unpleasant guy in the ticket booth. Everything else was perfect and definitely an experience. Now back in the US and planning on watching On Her Majesty’s Secret Service tonight 😊

My less-than-ideal rating was solely due to the unfortunate timing of my visit. Otherwise, I would have missed the opportunity to go altogether. It was a heavily overcast day, because of that, I skipped exploring Birg and went straight up to Schilthorn instead. On top of the poor weather, Schilthorn was still under construction. After a quick browse through the gift shop, a short walk around the outdoor deck, and a light snack at the restaurant, it was already time to head back down. I’d have to return someday to truly experience the full beauty of this attraction. Hopefully on a clear day and once the construction is finally complete.

The views are priceless and it's definitely worth it to go! However, be warned that getting around through the construction is extremely difficult. It look 20 minutes to figure out how to go down to the Walk of Fame and the View Lounges. That, for me, was the best part. It's away from the hordes of people fighting to get the best selfie and closer to nature. You can see forever! The best time to go is usually between 15:00-18:00 in the summer (weather permitting) because the clouds tend to lift around that time.

Grossly overpriced for what it is. Don't get me wrong it's not bad, but the price is simply unjustified. Spa consists of 1 sauna and 1 steam, but the price bump you have to pay to use these facilities is frankly outrageous. There is only 1 indoor pool, no outdoor. The place seems to be in a ghost town. Do yourself a favour and just go to Premia bath if you are in the area

Solid 2 stars. The place wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either. The services and facilities are not justifying the near 60€ price for the two of us. I'm not saying that you should avoid, but consider other options like Bath of Premia (Terme di Premia), where basically can get more for less... Sauna and Jacuzzi was okay. There were just one swimming pool which was also okay. Clean and good temperature. Two stars because I think it was overpriced.

Great place to relax. A coccoon of well being at the heart of a phantasmagoric little town at the bottom of a valley. The environment is blissfully green in spring. Must be amazing in fall season too Affordable also Few visitors on weekdays which makes the experience particularly quiet

Maybe the one thing in Switzerland that doesn’t feel overpriced. Awesome experience. The roaring of the waterfalls in the caves was potentially a cooler experience than the actual waterfalls themselves. Plenty of parking Pro tip: take elevator to the 6-10 waterfalls and then make your way down from 6-1. Was an hour and a half experience for us.

Spectacular falls which are well set up with all the different viewpoints. I took the lift up to viewpoint 6 then walked the stairs to the top, which isn't difficult but you definitely need good grippy shoes. I didn't get too wet, only a few drips here and there but you will need a jacket as it is very cold. There is a little souvenir shop located along the path as well as the cafe with clean toilets. I stopped for coffee and a muffin, both were delicious 😋

An unforgettable experience! Trümmelbach Falls is a truly unique natural wonder — 10 glacier waterfalls hidden inside a mountain, carrying meltwater from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. You ride a lift up through the rock and walk through tunnels, stairs, and bridges carved into the cliff. It’s moderately physical (lots of steps!), but totally worth it. The sound and power of the waterfalls — up to 20,000 liters per second — is breathtaking. Well organized, very safe, and perfect for a 1-hour visit. Highly recommend wearing good non-slip shoes. Tickets were CHF 14 for adults (2024) and free parking is just a 2-minute walk from the entrance.

Trümmelbach Falls, in Lauterbrunnen Valley lets you walk inside a mountain, with roaring waterfalls echoing through rock tunnels. The short hike includes stairs up and down, so wear sturdy shoes. There is optional lift inside the mountain. Visit early to avoid crowds and bring a waterproof jacket—the spray is strong. Tickets can be bought on site. The dramatic sound and close-up views make it a rare natural wonder worth seeing. Photography is allowed but watch your gear around water.

Very cool experience! The admission is 15CHF per adult and 7CHF per kid and for us it is it was definitely worth it. Not to mention that the walk to the area is breathtaking.

The walk to the falls was magical! There is an entry fee, I can’t recall the amount. You will get wet. There’s a bakery that you can enjoy before or after that was delightful!

Such a beautiful little town, very clean and well maintained. The streets are charming and it has a really pleasant atmosphere. We spent about two hours strolling around, taking our time to enjoy the views and the peaceful vibe. A lovely place to wander and soak up the surroundings.

Absolutely breathtaking. The top of Europe it prides itself as. 3475M of elevation. A must visit if you're in Grindelwald. You have to change trains twice to get up here but the views are amazing. Theres different stations that you can go to and there's an ice station as well. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.

The panorama is simply breathtaking — an endless sea of snow and glaciers framed by the iconic peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It’s the kind of place that makes you whisper “wow” before you even realize you’re doing it. That said, the experience is very tourist-oriented — and I say that with both appreciation and a smile. On the one hand, it’s impressive how accessible everything is: tunnels, elevators, shops, cafés, even an ice palace. The Swiss engineering behind this mountaintop infrastructure deserves applause. On the other hand, the sheer number of visitors can make you feel like you’ve taken a scenic detour through a luxury shopping mall at 3,500 meters. And then there’s the crowd itself — a fascinating, unstoppable wave of excited tourists from all over the world. Absolutely stunning, snow all round the year, less tourist compared to Titlis. A nice tour route set up. You will clearly need 5 hrs and more if you want to enjoy every spot at your pace. The snowtubing and sledging were absolute fun. 20 CHF for Half hour and unlimited rides. Ice palace was beautifully carved. The hot chocolate shop at Aletsch glacier was yummy. Point to note- you have to walk a lot there, but for older people and people who are unable to walk a lot, there are places to sit in the warmth of the tunnel and enjoy the views.

An absolute must see if you're in the Jungfrau region. The views of the Alps are unreal. The viewing platform at the Sphinx and the area with the flags lower down give the best photo opportunities. The ice sculptures are worth checking out.

The number one attraction as well as the most expensive attention in all of Switzerland. It cost about $500 usd for two people. The gondola ride up is amazing and the best cable car ride in the world. After the cable car you arrive at eigen glacier which is also very beautiful, then you take the train up to jungfraujoch and the train stops in the middle for you to see another glacier. Once you’re at the top there are several stations you can take a look at most of which can be seen in the photos I posted. You’ll also want to check their public webcam to make sure the weather is good on the day you come.

We were staying in the Emmental region for vacation and saw this on the map with good reviews so came here to see cheese. Even though we looked at their website we didn’t know much about their cheese tour- which turned out to be a Disney World like experience where you go from room to room with automated lighting and narration - it was a lot of fun. And at the end you get to see their wheels of cheese and try a few different ages of their signature cheese. We bought more in their store and left for home. There is certainly more to see and do but we came near the end of the day. Certainly recommend!

Really enjoyed the King's self guided tour and sleeping overnight in a barrel! Was lovely to wake up and enjoy the views over breakfast. Staff super accommodating and friendly ! Would love to return for the cream cheese making workshop and a guided tour of the factory.

I went with my family and my friend's family, in total we were 6 adults and 3 kids under 7. And we had the best time. We stayed the whole day. We bought the kombi-ticket of the Koenigs Weg and the Frischkaese Workshop, so we decided to arrive early morning. There was a fair happening with Apple-based all-things being sold and it was just amazing. The kids had a great time in the Spielplatz and also watching the goats and rabbits. Both the workshop and the Koenigs Weg are kid's friendly. The restaurant food was amazing as well. The staff was also very friendly.

Super great tour, very kid friendly, interactive, fun, and informative. Best self guided food tour for kids I have ever seen. Very well designed and varied. Cheese was great, restaurant was fabulous and the playground was great right next to the restaurant. My kids have been begging to go back!

Very nice cheese dairy, especially the kings path self guided tour was surprisingly good. It consists of multiple nicely designed installations accompanied by the story of Emmental cheese as an audio book. I expected a self guided tour to be much less interesting so it was a pleasant surprise.

Lake Brienz was one of our favourite spots when we visited Interlaken. Strolling along the lakeside and browsing the shops on both sides of the street was such a relaxing experience.

PS: Whether you’re sipping a coffee as dawn breaks or enjoying the rose-gold glow of sunset on snowy peaks, every moment here feels like a postcard comes to life. If you’re after pure Alpine beauty and true relaxation, this spot i.e the Lake Brienz is not to be missed. Highly recommended for visiting when in Swiss.

Tis a stunning turquoise-colored lake. The lake is surrounded by majestic mountains, creating postcard-perfect views. One of the best ways to explore the lake is by taking a boat cruise, offering scenic views of the surrounding villages and peaks. Activities - Kayaking & Paddleboarding, Hiking & Biking, Photography, hiking trails. perfect for strolling and offer a glimpse into Swiss rural life. A half-day to full-day visit is ideal to soak in the breathtaking scenery.

Very good baking / Easter bunny Programm for family/ couple or friends , need to reserve your place online in advance. Great experience and will come again. The cafe is also great when you would like to grab a drink, the factory store is also amazing with lots of choice plus every product you can try before you decide which one to buy. Great price compare to other selling spots.

There is cafe at Kambly shop. Kambly homemade ice tea was fabulous because it was not so sweet and fruit taste. The mango ice cream wad so fresh.

It's more like a factory outlet where they sell the products cheaper but not in supermarket packaging (I guess it's good for own/family consumption). Couldn't compare it to lindt/cailler museum, there were only little corner for the historical story telling and some activities for kids to play around. For adults, maybe the most interesting part is the unlimited degustation of all the products😋

Complaint: the cookies are too delicious and we ate too many of them. Well, I am partially joking... and partially telling the truth. But for a full truth, this is an excellent factory with great products. Exceptional Swiss quality. I was cycling through Switzerland with my mother and we stopped by. Really enjoyed the Kambly history presentation, available in four languages. On a side note, I really don't understand how anyone can give less than five stars. I don't know too many places where you can walk in and eat as much of their product as you want. Of course you will probably want to buy some cookies or crackers and take them home with you. But no one pressures you. There is also a nice cafe, free wifi, and clean and comfortable bathrooms. Thank you very much for this experience Kambly and I will certainly be purchasing more of your products in the future.

My kids took a class here, and even though they don't speak German, the staff were so kind and helpful. While they were taking the class I took 2 hours trying the different desserts, and some of them were SO TASTY! I actually had never heard of Kambly before, but my in laws took me there and I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite dessert by far was the VOGELNESTLI! I am dreaming about eating some more... so delicious!

Amazing place.. Literally between mountains and water falls. It has 3 swimming pool outside with warm water. Indoor area is very basic, but has a pool for kids.. The restaurant has only sandwiches and salad. At the end very easy, simple and a natural place. A dream location with the mountain views. Has a spa place underground with sauna and steam rooms. Like many of them. It's definitely worth to go! Not so crowded. Has options to attend hourly basis ( 3 hours or all day long) better to bring your own bathrobes. They rent it for 6 eur each.

Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains. Wonderful spa treatment, warm water, and icy plunge pools. Very clean and spacious changing rooms. Very accommodating for persons with a disability or sensory processing concerns, including autism. Recommend a weekday visit to minimize crowds. We come here every time we visit the Italian lake area.

Very well maintained property. Brilliant pools, soft mineral water with less chlorine. Welcoming and helpful staff. The valley and mountains are extremely scenic and beautiful. The only problem i found is lack of clearly stated rules for SPA zone. There is some people talking by full voice inside saunas and steam baths. It is absolutely unacceptable. If someone asks them to lower their voice, he will face immediate scandal. Dear people of brilliant Terme, please add rules in large readable format. Thank you for your excellent service!

For just 8 Euros you can spend an hour in the naturally heated baths, both inside and out (looking at the mountains). There are several timed jets and water spouts to massage your shoulders and limbs. Don't forget to bring a bathing cap which is mandatory. There are spas with steam rooms saunas and massages too, for an extra charge of course, which we will try next time. A fantastic way to follow a tiring walk to the tops of the surrounding waterfalls (some of the route is by ladder) and past old quarry workers' stone huts.

I just used the indoor & outdoor pool. I was not disappointed. it was a hot day so I mainly stayed outside. wasn't over crowded as I went during the week ( heard its very busy at the weekend). very clean & plenty of sun beds. Nice massage beds & jets in the water. beautiful views with a waterfall. inside massage jets & beds & also 2 icebaths that you can walk through. cafe & bar, which I didn't use so can't comment on it. very clean changing facilities, showers hairdryer etc. family rooms & disabled.

Saw very good review about this place decided to give it a try. The playground is nice. CAROUSELL is simple but age 130 years old something different. The house that showcase how 200 years ago people living here is quite interesting, but wish there are more English explanation so that we know what we seeing. Many houses we visit is close or no one around at all. If need to pay for ticket I think is not quite worth it. We got cover by Swiss travel pass. The train ride inside is almost non existence because only a few ride a day at selected timing and you can tour around if you want to take train. End up we walk alot and some are not easy path. We were lost half way as this place is huge and limited sign. The map and sign some need sometime to figure out.

it's an amazing journey through time and hand-crafts! there are hundreds of structures guiding you through the places and timea of older switzerland with live demonstration for pottery, rope making, milling and many more! the crafts are well explained and kids & adults are equally in awe! many nifty playgrounds and infrastructure make the experience well rounded. the horse carriage schedule and high prices could be made more pleasant. also more simple info for how such houses were build would be cool.

Absolutely loved every moment of my visit! I had the honor of meeting a leather craftsman who was so kind as to make me a keyring. I chose a Longhorn design, perfect for a Texan. I also met the soup and coffee makers who used original equipment to create delicious, timeless food and drinks. It was truly amazing to watch. As I walked around the open-air museum, I was fascinated by how each house was unique in its own way. There was also a restaurant and a shack selling food and drinks. I could have easily spent the entire day there but unfortunately I had to catch a train and it's time to leave. Highly recommended.

You can spend the best 6 hours here. I am so impressed how well it is done and how big this is. I will come every season. It is definitely worth traveling 5 hours just for this❤️

So much to do and such great value for money. I recommend arriving early to get full value from your visit as you’ll need several hours to explore the various areas of Switzerland that are represented. A beautiful place, friendly staff and an essential stop for a summertime holiday in the Bernese Oberland.

Great waterfall zo visit! Especially, when the powerplant opens the floodgates. When you stand near it, t's a good way to cool down as well during hot days. Finding parking can be tricky at the base of the waterfall. Bit the top has arranged parking.

Great walk to get to this place, amazing view of the waterfall right in the mountains. Not too strenuous to get there for a pretty basic hiker like me.

An old trade route and wow this must have been a popular stopping point for hundreds of years. I love the way there is a jetti that allows you to feel extra close to this dramatic waterfall. the valley leading up to it has many waterfalls, more if rained. I reccomend a visit. it's up a long dead end road from beneco. but there are places to stay and great walking at good altitude after the dam and mountain hut.

Beautiful stroll through an impressive gorgeous. Worth the entry fee as it is used for upkeep of the board walk. Really spectacular and worth a visit. Understand it can get busy which would diminish the visit, so pick your time I guess. Parking available.

Even on a cold and windy day the gorge was impressive. Leaves were swirling and if felt like the wind would push us back at times but we continued on along the edge of the gorge. Perhaps because of the weather and the last time of day there were few other visitors, which was nice as it offered the opportunity for photos without strangers in view. The moves in and out of the tunnels made the walk a little more interesting, and the placards designed for the children were also a good distraction for them. We opted for the train return due to the late hour, which was an interesting experience in itself. The station hardly seemed like a place to wait for a train. Staff at both ends were very nice and helpful. While other reviewers say this isn't as impressive as other gorges around the Alps, I disagree, I very much enjoyed the 45 minute walk and would recommend it to friends. We did not really spend much time checking out the shops, restaurant, or at the playground, but they are there for additional services. Free parking was also available at both ends but the the west entrance had significantly more space. Side note: You can buy a combo ticket on the Zentral Bahn trains while on the way to the entrance to cover the train and the gorge. The ticket we bought at the gorge also covered our return on the train.

This was such an awesome place to visit when in Hasli Valley in Bernese Oberland. It truly is a natural wonder, and no picture will really show the true beauty you will see in person. What's great about the Aares Gorge is that it can be visited rain or shine. You'll get a different perspective depending on the weather. Give yourself plenty of time here. It's about a mile walk (45-60 minutes) along the limestone gorge and through the tunnels. It's truly a unique experience that deserves a special trip. I've never seen anything quite like it. It really shows you the torrential power of glaciel water as it carves its way over time through the valley. There are 2 entrances with parking lots. We started at the west entrance and exited at the east side. There was so much to see in between (including a waterfall). There is also a view of cave entrances from the pathway that were built to house the military during WWII. Fortunately, they never had to use it. There are interesting facts displayed along the way. It's pretty much an easy walk until you get to the east side. There is more of an incline on your way up as well as some steps up the hill. Just plan your entrance accordingly if you have limited mobility. It worked out very well for us. We were rewarded with a beautiful view of the Alps when exiting at the east side. Our guide met us in the parking lot. You can return by train to your initial starting point as well. We loved this experience so much!! There's so much to do here in the Canton of Bern. Make it a part of your trip when in Switzerland.

Visited on a day with lighter rain after several days of heavy downpours. The rushing rapids were astonishing to see though boardwalk could feel slippery at times. A beautiful landscape filled with natural wonders. A must see.

Definetly worth a visit if you are in the area, a pleasant walk at a cool place. The entrance fee I would say is quite cheap compared to other places in the Junfrau region. It also includes the train ride back which was convenient. You do need to press the stop button on the train if you want to get of at the Aareschlucht station.

A natural wonder. Walking through the narrow gorge with the turquoise river rushing below is thrilling and refreshing. Easy access and well-maintained paths make it perfect for all ages.

Absolutely mesmerizing! Make sure you buy the ticket to get to the Glacier (Gletscher) as it is more than worth it!

Such a great place to go through . Do not miss the opportunity to travel through if you are lucky enough and the pass is open. While the amount of turns may worry you, the views from there truly deserve the inconvenience.

If you enjoy driving on mountain passes, the do come. Fair warning - you may get stuck behind slow traffic. In case you do, just park on the side of the e rad and wait. Great views, awesome driving experience.

If you're in or neat Lucerne Mount Pilatus is a must see. I took the train from Lucerne to Alpnachstad and then took the cog train up the mountain. I had absolutely perfect weather and the views were stunning. There is a restaurant multiple lookout points and a few trails I hiked. I then took the gondola down the other side of the mountain. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views all around. Be careful about visiting during spring, as parts of the viewing decks may be closed because of snow as late as early june in my experience. The facilities are new and very nice. I would recommend to take the cog rail up, and the gondola down the mountain for the best experience. Worth every penny.

The staff were helpful and very professional, making the experience smooth from start to finish. Whether you take the world’s steepest cogwheel railway or the aerial cableways, the adventure is incredible in every way. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland — Mount Pilatus truly feels like being on top of the world!

What a spectacular place! If you are visiting Switzerland, spend some hours at Mt. Pilatus. I took the steap railway to the top, but you can also choose to hike.

Mount Pilatus was definitely a highlight of the trip to Switzerland. The weather in mid September was cooperative (it was as warm and sunny on the mountain as in Lucerne). Classic trip as advised: bus, cable cars to the mountain and trip back via cog-wheel train and lake cruise ending in Lucerne. Nature beauty is unreal, hiking a few paths at the top (paved or stairs) is almost a must. Utter surprise how tasty were the local beef hot dogs at the fast food joint on the mountain.

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) in Lucerne. It was a beautiful evening, and the entire setting felt almost magical. The iconic wooden bridge, with its charming roof and historic paintings, reflected perfectly in the calm waters of the Reuss River—making it one of the most picturesque spots we’ve seen in Switzerland. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere around the bridge. As we walked through, the gentle lighting and the flower decorations along the bridge added to the charm. Right nearby, the Old Town was buzzing with life. The streets were lively with cafés, restaurants, and little shops, making it a joy to stroll through. The blend of history, culture, and energy gave the whole area a very warm and welcoming vibe. Walking across the bridge and then meandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Town felt like stepping into a postcard. The combination of medieval architecture, colorful buildings, and the vibrant evening atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. If you are in Lucerne, visiting Chapel Bridge is absolutely a must-do, especially in the evening when the city lights and reflections on the river create such a breathtaking scene. It’s not just a landmark—it’s a place that captures the heart and soul of Lucerne.

Chapel Bridge lives up to the hype being the most iconic outdoor attraction in Lucerne. Pictures of the bridge from the river shore streets are more scenic than photos taken from the bridge itself. Given that fire of 1993 destroyed at least two thirds of the bridge, don’t expect too much from exposed paintings. Fortunately, Water Tower was spared and bridge was rebuilt and reopened in 8 months carefully reconstructed to preserve historic details.

Beautiful bridge which has significant history; there had been a fire in the 90's but apart from some blackened sections it had been repaired. It was not crowded. It provided lovely views of the mountains, lake and Luzern itself. The wood is lovely and the craftsmanship is evident everywhere with examples of quality joinery etc. It's a short walk from the main railway station. I found it peaceful and calming. We were out of season.

As a tourist attraction, the Lion Monument is relatively small in scale, yet it draws a large number of visitors. In front of the carving lies a small reflecting pool, where a few lonely fallen leaves float on the water, adding to the somber mood of the place. Overall, the visit takes about 5–10 minutes. A truly impressive monument, much bigger than I expected and really beautiful. The Lion of Lucerne is carved directly into the rock to honor the Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution. The expression of the lion is incredibly realistic and moving. The surrounding park and pond make it a peaceful place to stop and reflect. Definitely worth a visit!

The surroundings are very beautiful and this is an ideal place for photoshop. Don't miss out to see the reflection of lion monument in the small lake below it. This is a must visit place in Lucerne and an important part of Swiss history.

Magnificent though-provoking monument to Swiss guards who died defending French king at the revolution times, emphasizing sacrifice by the people who fulfilled their professional duties to the end at the cost of their lives. It’s a small public park easily accessible by 10 mins walk from Lucerne lake shore. There are restrooms onsite, also expect the park to be crowded almost at any time of the day.

Shaded area with a calm pond and beautifully carved sculpture. There are historical and interpretive signs all around, plus a few benches. Additionally, we found the most technologically-advanced, free public restrooms we'd ever seen here - I seriously almost took a photo of the inside of it!

Beautiful stunning lake with breathtaking view of the alps. There are boat rides available if you are so inclined. Really lovey pristine lake with a magnificent view.

It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the whole of Europe, in my opinion. Obviously, the Alps on one side and Lucerne city on the other side give it ample backdrop for those picture-perfect photographs, but still :) Do not miss the boat rides available from Lucerne harbor. You'll thank me when you take one :)

The lake is absolutely stunning, with calm, clear water. The view feels like something out of a dream, peaceful and unforgettable. Especially loved the yellow bench by the lake side.

Lucerne is a beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere. The walks along Lake Lucerne and the views of the Alps make this place a magical experience. I can't wait to visit again in August.

Located in the middle of Lucerne city, surrounded by the beautiful Alps Hills. Lake Lucerne is a very picturesque one, probably one of the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Also is one of the main attractions of Lucerne (while it also has become one of the most recognizable images of the country). It is a symbol of the city and gives a sublime beauty on sunny days. Especially when even the nearby peaks are still snow-covered and can be seen in the background the Pilatus, majestic. There are many boats that allow you to traverse the lake and cross from one bank to another or even cruise excursions to nearby towns. It's a pretty big lake reaching over 210 meters. PS:- Highly Recommended for taking a boat tour around it to enjoy the tranquil beauty it holds.
