Kołobrzeg Pier, the longest pier in Poland at 220 meters, is a popular urban attraction offering scenic views of the city and the Baltic Sea. It's an ideal spot for romantic walks and relaxation, with numerous opportunities for capturing memorable photos. During the summer season, it comes alive with concerts, festivals, and cultural events. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and sea views while strolling along the well-maintained pier or sitting on benches installed along its length.
Nice little Pier. If you stay in a hotel in Kolobrzg it is free of charge! Just bring your invoice from hotel. Please go along and enjoy the view.
Christian W — Google review
I recently visited the pier in Kołobrzeg and honestly, it was a bit disappointing. First of all, there is an entrance fee, which I found quite surprising – especially considering that there isn’t much to see. The view is fairly ordinary and nothing particularly special. At the end of the pier, there’s a very average café, which didn’t add much to the experience either. Overall, I really couldn’t understand the reason behind charging visitors for access. It just didn’t feel worth it.
Pavel — Google review
Was freezing to death…in May however the beach was clean and it was nice to see the seagulls in very close proximity
Aaron R — Google review
Since you have to pay for an entrence the molo is clean and well maintained. The view is nice. There is also a coffee shop where one can enjoy some cups of coffee, beer and other drinks.
Lejla K — Google review
Baltic did not disappoint. It's pretty and the entrance is free.

Nice place for the sea view. Calm and peaceful. Good for the walk and feeling the waves. A lot of benches are also installed. Well maintained.

The palace is not too spectacular. The town history is very interesting and worth to learning for history enthusiasts. Special thanks to profesional guider! Thank you!

I don't drink coffee, and there's nothing to eat there, but the atmosphere and music there are interesting.
Artem T — Google review
Castle itself is in good condition and you have access to inside courtyard. There is restaurant over there ( I have not used so cannot comment on that ) but you cannot access inside of the castle. There is public library over there so if it is week day you can pop in and cast your eyes. Apparently there is cinema over there but you would need to check this first. Walk around the castle next to the river is really nice but there is a massive way for improvement as it could be such a nice area with picnic benches and tables and the path itself is in poor condition which is a shame. It will not take long to take a walk so I would say with visiting the castle courtyard you need 30 min at most.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful castle with a rich history. Every hour, for a dozen or so zlotys, you can take a guided tour with the option of climbing to the top of the tower (I recommend it!). There is a historical exhibition in the basement, but unfortunately the original castle interiors have not been preserved. Afterwards, you can spend a few nice moments in an atmospheric and quite inexpensive café located in one of the castle wings.

Lighthouse Niechorze

Scenic spot
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Established in the 1860s, this cliffside lighthouse features tours & panoramic views of the sea.
Nice view of surrounding area lighthouse. 15 PLN for adult and 10 PLN for kid. There is a queue, they are limiting the number of people inside which is a good thing. Stairs are wide at the bottom but they are getting smaller up top and the last part is quite a small narrow "almost ladder" stairs. Nice park around and a small pathway with stairs down to the beach.
Radek V — Google review
A good place to diversify a walk on the beach and look around. The entrance fee was not terrible, proportional to the service.
Jirka V — Google review
Great view not expensive around 10 zl for adult (£2) quite to climb up but the view for city of Niechorze and the see side priceless. Very windy up there
WOJCIECH N — Google review
Very nice place. In summer full of joy, after hot season calm and quiet. Gorgeous lighthouse. I do recommend.

It's ok. Something different to do if you have had enough of the beach. Nice views and affordable tickets.

The cliff edge remains of a 14th to 15th century church originally built close to the sea.
Aside from the windy weather the place is in a very nice condition. The beach is rather clean and the sand is very pleasant. You can have a good look at ruins from the beach.

History is rich, not much left however :). Still a nice place e to visit with all the gastronomical facilities present. Very nice walk from Rewal along the beach.

Nice place to visit! There is not much information and the church ruins are not much left. Still it is a good attraction point.
Cengizhan Ö — Google review
I mean, it's pretty but really not much to do there. You go take a photo from the bridge as that's one of the better spots to do so and then that's pretty much it. However it is somethong to do on an overcast afternoon. Around you frind many restaurants and shops. When we were there there was also a street musician.

Outdoor park featuring a miniature model railroad set amid a landscape & replica Polish lighthouses.
Very nice and well maintained place. Go there, you will enjoy it.
Philip D — Google review
Park could be good but more maintenance would be nice. Unfortunately such unfriendl staff you’ll not find on any kid attraction. Im sure you can spend your money better way than support these bothered faces.
Jiří V — Google review
I hope, that next few years will be used to grow exposition. There are a couple interesting trains and a a few lighthouses and buildings typical for Poland, but I wish it should be more. It was rather interesting for kid, but not for a long time, because of the small area.
Вячеслав С — Google review
Very charming, very nice. We had really bad rain, but given an umbrella so we could carry on. They have a thing here for lighthouses! The train layouts are cute, and there is a guy who looks after them. As soon as the rain stops, he's out drying the rails so we can still enjoy them. A small coffee shop with tables with benches, and umbrellas. A very nice way to kill an hour or two. £9.00 GBP to get in, but worth a look.
Derek J — Google review
Lovely place, very well maintained, educational for kids and adults alike. It takes about one to one hour and a half to see everything. Then there is a playground and a cafe/ice-cream parlor nearby with plenty of seats and a reasonably priced menu.
June D — Google review
Amazing place! Must visit for all the train lovers
Vitaliy D — Google review
Bit pricey but definitely worth it! Great place to chill during hot summer day with your little ones. Absolute must for enthusiasts of trains… or lighthouses. The train ride is a guaranteed winner for the kids though bulky adults need to beware, as the wagons are a bit wobbly.
Piotr M — Google review
Good fun for smaller kids. Unfortunately, the tickets are quite expensive for how small it is.

Centrum Słowian i Wikingów

Open air museum
Museums
Recreated Slavic Viking settlement, with medieval craft demonstrations, reenactments & guided tours.
The Slavs and Vikings Centre in the Polish town of Wolin is a remarkable historical site that offers a deep dive into the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. Located on the island of Wolin, this living history museum beautifully reconstructs the lives and traditions of the early medieval Slavic and Viking communities that once inhabited the area. One of the most striking aspects of the centre is its authenticity. The site is filled with meticulously recreated buildings, including longhouses, workshops, and fortifications, all built using traditional methods and materials. These structures provide a vivid glimpse into what daily life would have been like during the Viking Age, making it an immersive experience for visitors of all ages. The centre is also home to an impressive collection of artifacts, ranging from tools and weapons to household items and clothing. These objects are not only fascinating to look at, but they also help to tell the story of the people who lived in Wolin centuries ago. The attention to detail in the exhibits is commendable, and the knowledgeable staff are always on hand to provide additional insights and answer any questions. One of the highlights of visiting the Slavs and Vikings Centre is the various events and reenactments that are held throughout the year. These events, often featuring costumed performers, bring history to life in a way that is both educational and entertaining. The annual Viking Festival, in particular, is a must-see, drawing visitors from all over the world to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a bustling Viking settlement. Overall, the Slavs and Vikings Centre in Wolin is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, archaeology, or simply looking for a unique and enriching experience. It offers a rare opportunity to step back in time and explore a world that has long since disappeared, all within a beautifully preserved natural setting. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious about the past, this centre provides a fascinating and memorable journey into the early medieval period.

We love this place. Everytime we visit Wolin, Misdroy and surroundings, we take time for a visit in Centrum Slowian and Wikingow. You can bring your dog(s), it’s also a great place for families with kids. We had a private tour last year (wich was super informativ and fascinating), this year we went to the festival. That was an amazing experience, too. We will surely come back.
Riag G — Google review
What a experience. Back in time for more than 1000 years. Much more than I expected. Competent and enthusiastic stuff and handcraft product ,exactly produced using early medival method that you can see and buy. Come and see it's worth. Free parking.
Wojciech G — Google review
An interesting open air museum covering the Viking settlement of the area, which Harold Bluetooth interacted with it. Parking spot nearby, with toilet facilties. Drink and food available. Mostly flat, with some stairs to the gatehouse. Play area for kids, which they seem to enjoy. Enough interactive bits for families. Some signs in English.
Tom ( — Google review
This is one of the best viking museums I’ve seen! Every house is literally a masterpiece! You can walk into and see plenty of household items inside: pottery, furs, shoes etc. One of the houses had a lady dressed as a viking woman chewing the green onion pretending she had a dinner. In the middle of the village is a pagan altar, outside of the village is a viking boat and a torture site. This place is very rich in the details! Highly recommend! Entry fee is 25 Polish zloty.
Olesya O — Google review
Nice place to visit and walk around, not much to do, but if you appreciate the history, see how things were done in that point in time, it is the place for you, saw everything within a couple of hours
Marc S — Google review
As a reenactor I visit this place each year for past couple of years and could say that this place is really great: huge area filled with houses, tents and what is more important - very fine people. Whole europe gathers there for one of the biggest reko events in Poland which says a lot about it quality and importance for people. The only thing I had problems with there is organization like orgs are giving you area that is too small to set your camp and are bothered more with how to earn more money and not with how to make better event
Ilya S — Google review
This place clearly displays the close bands between Vikings and Slavs

Waly Chrobrego, also known as Chrobry Embankment, is a historic landmark in Szczecin, Poland. This elevated promenade was built in 1902 and stretches along the Oder river for about 500 meters. It offers stunning views of the water and iconic buildings such as Ducal Castle, the National Museum, and the Cathedral Basilica of St James the Apostle.
Great architecture and great view point to see the harbor. Even if you don’t haven’t time to get into buildings, it is worthwhile to sit on the benches along the walkway and see the river, the harbor and transportation on land and on the water.

Amazing place to visit and take pictures. It has great views, especially from the top of the fountain. It does light up at night so I recommend visiting it at that time too.

The Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin is a renovated castle that hosts art and history exhibitions, as well as classical concerts, some of which take place outdoors during the summer. The castle offers various events such as the Night of Bogislaw X, featuring free admission to exhibitions, a visit to the Bell Tower, and a museum shop.
Beautiful castle in the wonderful city Szczecin. The castle is well maintained. Most of the part of castle is free to enter but if you want to climb tower then buy ticket from information center inside castle. It will he approx. 9 or 10 PLN. If you have tourist card, you will get discounts. The view from the top is worth each money you spend. There are safety nets inside to prevent from falling. A must visit place when in Szczecin. Note : All pictures are captured by me with digital sign.

A little culture in Szczecin and a fascinating view from the tower. The explanations in the information desk were great and the castle is a beautifully preserved building. Unfortunately all the signs are only in Polish, but the artifacts are mostly self-explanatory. The view from the tower is definitely worth enjoying.
Josy N — Google review
My family has lived in this area for over 60 years, and I’ve been visiting this castle for decades. It’s been such a joy to watch it evolve over the years, and the most recent renovation has been the most impressive by far. The updates have truly elevated the space, it now has a refined, almost regal feel and has become a go-to spot for wedding photos. The castle is a stunning piece of history, and the views from the steeple are absolutely breathtaking & its admission is quite reasonable. Plus, the location is ideal, surrounded by other historic landmarks and now home to a charming artisan street market in the summer that stretches all the way to the cathedral grounds. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-see.
Marta S — Google review
Very interesting place. Recommended to be visited. Relatively little exposition but you can get fun if you like opd castles, underground prisons, and art. Few parts of the castle survived 2nd World War and it is very interesting from architectural point of view. Generally calm place. From the tower you can make magnificent pictures of river and city.
Maryna Z — Google review

Stetínský zámek, officially known as the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes, is a major historical landmark in Szczecin, Its impressive Renaissance architecture and central location make it a must-see for visitors. Central Cemetery in Szczecin

Cemetery
Sights & Landmarks
The Central Cemetery in Szczecin is a century-old burial ground featuring tree-lined walkways, ornate tombs, and a neo-Romanesque chapel adorned with sculptures. It is the largest cemetery in Europe and becomes particularly atmospheric during All Saints Day when people light candles on their ancestors' graves; this creates an ethereal glow visible from afar amidst the thousands of candles. The historic cemetery is surrounded by a beautiful park and hosts numerous monuments among its many trees.
This is the largest cemetery in Europe and it is over 100 years old. It looks especially gloomy on All Saints' Day, which is celebrated on November 1. On this day, in the evening, people light candles on the graves of their ancestors. This cemetery is always clean, I often come to this place to be in silence. But sometimes I even meet parents with children who ride roller skates or bicycles because the cemetery has really good roads and many interesting places.
Viacheslav D — Google review
This would be so pretty were it not for all the cars driving on the small paths. An enormous garbage trucks doing 60 on a tiny path would definitely have been unable to stop had I not stepped out of the way. All the visitors driving their private cars at 50 passing pedestrians with 30 cm margin also definitely do not feel safe or particularly relaxing
Andreas E — Google review
This venue is very old - over 100 years its the biggest in Europe. It looks especially moody / unusual durin All Saints Day which is celebrated on 1 November. On that day in the evening people lit candles on the graves of thier ancestors. There are thousands and thousands of them ( candles) so the glow is visible from far away.

Krzywy Las, also known as The Crooked Forest, is a unique and mysterious site located in Nowe Czarnowo near Szczecin city in Poland. Planted in 1930, the forest features around 400 oddly-shaped pine trees with a distinctive C-shape. Despite numerous theories attempting to explain the unusual shapes of the trees, the mystery remains unsolved. Visitors recommend bringing a picnic lunch and enjoying the special atmosphere of the crooked grove.
It is a great hidden gem you shall visit at least once. The trees are amazing and the history of this place gives is the great example of unknown.

A Magical and Peaceful Spot in Nature This forest is truly one of a kind! The uniquely curved pine trees make it feel like stepping into a fairytale. It’s calm, quiet, and surrounded by the soothing scent of pine—perfect for a peaceful walk or just soaking in the beauty of nature. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby. A wonderful place to take a break, breathe deeply, and connect with the natural world.
Traveler C — Google review
Cool place we randomly stumbled upon. If I got it right, no one truly knows why the trees are the way they are. The info boards are funny, a little difficult to find from the street so zoom in before you navigate here.
Ondrej D — Google review
Such a charming place! As mentioned before, the area with the crooked trees is quite small, but of course, that’s just nature, and there’s nothing that can be done about it 😂😂 That said, since today was just a regular Saturday and there were quite a lot of visitors, the parking situation felt a bit chaotic. Maybe some improvements in that area could make the experience even better. Overall, still a lovely spot to visit!
Debbie A — Google review
The area was alot smaller than anticipated but still worth the trip. Nearly 100 years old and still none knows why and for what purpose…
Ulrika R — Google review
A forest like no other! The curved pine trees look straight out of a fairytale. Peaceful, quiet, and filled with the fresh scent of pine—perfect for a walk or a quick escape into nature. Definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby!

Visiting the Crooked Forest is a unique experience, offering a peaceful atmosphere for a leisurely walk and plenty of photography opportunities. The unusual shapes of the trees, all bending in the same direction, create a scenic and somewhat otherworldly environment. I do highly recommend relaxing walks through the park zoo. The arrangement allows you to enjoy observation of animals from the close range, amazing atracion especially for children.

Very nice place for visiting with kids, You can have very close encounters with monkeys, lamas, goats and ponies, you can also buy food and feed those animals. There are various playgrounds for little ones so no boredome guaranteed! You can get some snacks, drinks, ice creams on site. And very clean toilets! Entry not so expensive so highly Recommended place to visit!

It was very kid friendly , and very nicely laid out. You could take your dog in aswell which was good, however the 6 Euro charge for a dog ,we did think , in comparison to the 10 euro for an Adult , was not proportional. On the whole a very enjoyable afternoon spent . Would recommend.

Actually I think it's the best ZOO I ever visited as a lot of it is "interactive" - e.g. you get to walk among deer or muflon and... feed them. This together with multiple well organised playground make this ZOO especially recommended for families with children.

Great place to visit and watch animals. My daughter was delighted. Animals have reasonably enough space [if it's ever possible being closed up in a Zoo].

A very peaceful zoo and not crowded. You may feed some animals roaming around as well like deer and goats.

Schiffshebewerke Niederfinow

Sights & Landmarks
Historical landmark
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tours of an enormous ship hoist dating from 1934 & featuring a 36-meter lift for water traffic.
Our bike trip from Berlin to Niederfinow was an unforgettable adventure! Pedaling through scenic fields and charming small towns, we were treated to a picturesque journey that perfectly set the stage for the highlight of our day. Upon reaching Niederfinow, we were thrilled to catch the Schiffhebewerk in action. Witnessing this engineering marvel in motion was absolutely awe-inspiring. The sheer scale and precision of the ship lift left us in amazement. It’s incredible to see how effortlessly it raises and lowers massive vessels, a testament to human ingenuity and craftsmanship. The entire experience was both educational and exhilarating, offering a unique glimpse into the workings of a historic yet fully functional piece of engineering. If you’re ever near Berlin, we highly recommend taking the time to visit Schiffhebewerk Niederfinow—it’s a sight you won’t want to miss!

An impressive structure and it was awesome to see it in action. Fair warning though that the walk to get on top of it may be challenging for less able bodied people.

I never knew that there was something like that in Brandenburg. If you go there in a warm season, make sure to take a boat tour. We were lucky to get the last boat tour this year: it is an unforgettable and unique experience to sit on a boat being lifted to a higher river level! During the boat tour you get guide explanations, so you will still learn a lot even if you prefer the boat to the classical excursion 😉

Very cool the see the ship elevator and the price to enter is very reasonable
Spkki — Google review
A building straight out of Starwars, but actually bigger, very real and without a cheesy love story! One of these anywhere would be a good reason for a visit, but here they have two! cancel your Dinsney subscription and visit Niederfinow, ideally u come by boat and take a ride!
Papu K — Google review
This could be 5 star + We paid 5€ to walk around the old boat lift. Unfortunately all the information boards were in German or Polish. It was amazing to see the huge structure and to see how it worked lifting the boats, both were still in use. However, I found the whole experience a bit of a money spinner, you have to pay to park, pay to activate the App, pay to use the toilet and the only way to see the new boat lift is with a tour guide, but that's only in German! With all this money they are generating they could put some English information out. There is a small information centre which is free to enter and they had information boards on how it was erected and fortunately it was in English too 👍. The staff member we spoke to was very helpful and fortunately spoke some English which was a great help.

A lift for cargo ships working the waterways between the Oder and The Havel rivers. One that can lift 6000 tonne of ship and water 36 metres to navigate the differance in water level between the two rivers. Quicker than locks could ever do.

Something different - if in area definitely worth a visit We did a 3-day road trip around the Brandenburg region and this definitely was a highlight. During our exploring, we saw many beautiful castles, townships and lakes to this was something different. We were travelling with a Labrador. You can take a dog up. Dog-friendly. At the ticket kiosk, they gave us a pass that gave us entry via the door, rather than the rotating gate. Parking - there is one main car park - when leaving make sure you get a token (costs 3 euros for a car) from the parking machine next to the toilets, right by the drive-in/ out. Ha ! I thought you had to put 3 euros into the exit barrier machine. ...but no, it just takes the tokens.

Chorin Abbey

Monastery
Sights & Landmarks
This 13th-century Gothic monastery in a serene, scenic setting offers exhibits & guided tours.
A Cistercian monastery that looks as if it had lost a battle with time - and won it back! The holy ruins are beautifully airy and reminiscent of Swiss cheese. That's why the cloister is not suitable for a game of hide and seek. But seriously, the thing is charming. That's what the architect and monument conservationist KF Schinkel must have thought when he rediscovered it. The entrance fee is worth the money; there is a museum inside that, among other things, tries to explain the secrets of the inscriptions on the stones.

In the heart of The forest, the beautiful gothic Monestary really stood out. The red brick structure from the 13th century Medieval times takes you back to that age

Beautiful spot, almost mystical, with a wonderful museum, lots of signs are also in English, very pleasant walkthrough. Dog friendly! Eur 15 for family ticket. You need 1 hour for the inside, but there are also many walks to be walked in the surrounding area.

Just an amazing place to visit at the weekend with the kids! It's a gothic monastery opened in the 13th century. It's just half an hour walk from Chorin Bahnhof through the forest and lakes. We really enjoyed it

Simply charming! The attention to detail, the subtle integration of history and culture, the use as a museum, education and event venue is difficult at best to pull off, and Ms. Siedler and her team have nailed it! I look forward to visiting again, soon.

We had an absolutely interesting tour through the tests of the abbey. The cost is 85€ and we’re 5 people. 1,5 hours full of history, interesting facts and stories about the building and the monks that lived in. After that we had a small lunch at the café. And finished the day with a walk around the lake.

What a stunning place. When you come late check if it’s still open. Great for taking walks and hiking. The Gothic Chorin Monastery is a former Cistercian abbey near the town of Chorin, about six kilometers north of Eberswalde in the Brandenburg district of Barnim. It was founded by Ascanian margraves in 1258 and had far-reaching importance on the northern edge of the Ascanian sphere of influence.

Very interesting too see a house where one of the most important German writers lived and worked in his retreats, but I would have liked to see more information on his relationship with the house and the region too, as most of the memorabilia present there is connected to Berlin, with very few pieces connected to Buckow and the house itself.

(Translated by Google) Very exciting historical place for the whole family. Here the life and work of Berthold Brecht and Helene Weigel are also brought closer to children. The house by the lake is (alone) worth a trip. I was at a special exhibition on site, which was a good connection to Brecht's work. And there were delicious apples for free (a wonderful welcome) I also find it remarkable that the parking space in front of the door can be given free of charge. The surroundings of the house invite you to linger... But more on that in a separate article.

(Translated by Google) We were there for an event with Scarlett O. and Jürgen E., for which we had already bought tickets in advance. Beforehand we visited the museum, the garden and the theater shed. As a German scholar, after learning a lot of theory, it was a wonderful practical experience. I had goosebumps, especially when watching the excerpts from “Mother Courage,” how current and far-sighted Brecht was. A museum worth seeing with very friendly staff. The concert was also an experience. Thank you for the lovely day!

NaturThermeTemplin

Swimming facility

Large complex with indoor/outdoor pools, water slides & a wave pool, plus saunas & a salt grotto.
Slightly long wait time if you don't go super early. It took us 45 minutes to enter. Nice experience inside for the adults as well as the kids. Pools are nice. 3-4 hours are usually enough here - we didn't stay long even though we had a day pass. Parking is free. Portions in the cafeteria are quite small, especially the chicken nuggets. Food taste was alright.

I love this place. I spend a whole day enjoy this place. Swimming and Sauna. Very relaxing, not crowded, and a lot of attractions to do. Streaming, fountain, wave like in a beach, waterfalls etc. I love waterfalls, because somehow they feels like massage, and I live to do that for my back. And I love the jacuzzi with hot salt water, it's so relaxing for my whole body. The Sauna is clearly awesome, you can even choose the temperature based on their room. And they make some variation spices/ingredients/smell (salt, honey, mint, herbs, etc) every hour in some sauna rooms.
Patricia W — Google review
The pools are great, the only disadvantages are that you cannot buy tickets upfront and therefore on the weekends there could be massive queues. No variety of food offered.

We came all the way from Berlin and were not disappointed! We started our stay with some lunch. Food was good, not overpriced and had decent portion sizes. (Lunch ladies were very friendly and hospitable) Both the main compartment and the separate spa compartment are great! We felt very comfortable in both settings! Only downside was that the spa area did not have a thermal water pool. Overall we would recommend this place for anyone and would come again!
Richard D — Google review
The Sauna area here is great. It has its own side entrance too so you don't need to go through the main pool area. The pool itself is good it has slides and is quite adventurous for kids.
Ed M — Google review
I recently visited the thermal bath and wanted to provide some feedback. Firstly, I was disappointed to encounter a strong smell of urine in the toilet area. This was quite off-putting and affected the overall experience. Additionally, I noticed that the inner pools had not been renovated, as I could see old Kalk (lime) residue. It would be great if the management could address this issue to maintain cleanliness and comfort for the visitors. On a positive note, I appreciated the presence of a friendly personal an a lifeguard at the Wellenbereich. It felt reassuring to know that trained personnel were overseeing the safety of the visitors. Furthermore, the thermal bath offered plenty of space, allowing for a relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere. The slides were enjoyable, providing an element of fun to the experience. However, it was unfortunate that there seemed to be a lack of proper control or supervision around the slides, which could potentially lead to safety concerns. Overall, there were both positive and negative aspects to my visit, and addressing the areas for improvement would enhance the overall quality of the thermal bath.

It is a pity that a lot of people from Berlin does not know about this place! We had a very interesting and special experience in this cowboy town. We traveled one hour from Berlin and came across a very beautiful show and we watched everything with our mouths open. Stunt shows were incredibly well prepared. Debby ( — Google review
We went on Sunday and paid the 39 euros for a family ticket. The scenery is nicely done to look like the wild west and people are dressed in costumes. Unfortunately the cost to use each thing inside in my opinion is way too expensive after already paying to go in. Even the trampolines are charged. The shows were fun and some of the staff friendly but some seemed very grumpy. Lots of things were closed or not on offer- no waffles, crepes, ice creams not in stock, marshmallow fire pit closed etc, the big main restaurant was closed too and it really looked a little dead, not much hustle and bustle that would give the place more life. The idea is fun but too expensive for what is on offer.
Jessica B — Google review
I hope that everything I didn't like about this place was because of Corona. Show was great. Pay attention. Except entrance fee, in order to ride a pony or throw lasso, or mine gold - you have to buy a card with stars. 25 euro - 10 stars. each attraction - 1 star. Free of charge - pet zoo with goats(bunnies are always inside, you can't pet them), playground. At 14 30 there were NO food and 2!! snack stores. NO FOOD at all. Even though there were supposed to be open until 5 and the whole park is open until 6. At 5 all attractions where closed. We really had to rush to spend all our stars because all attractions are closed at the time of the show and there's not much time left to do them
Elvira G — Google review
Bus 509 does not run unless you call and book 1hr earlier, it was such an unpleasant experience to come by public transport, together with two 8yrs old children we ended up walking 4km back and forth to the train station. As the owner of the theme park you should seriously consider providing shuttle bus to train station and make them run frequently, not like bus 509 which only runs 3 times a day. Update: Yes, I should not judge the theme park by public transport only. I have updated my review to reflect my opinion. Pros: my children liked the theme park. Pros: almost all staff are friendly to children. Cons: the pony jockey does not seems like our children, he faced with other kids with smile, told my children "behind the bench!", at the same time. Cons: the expense is a bit on the high side, paid for the entry, and then paid for different attractions, for example, shooting 5 arrows costs 1 star, pony ride 1 star, 1 bratwurst+pommes=5euro
Yip L — Google review
No wonder that there are no foreigners there (non-Germans). The employees do not speak English and treat the foreigners like a second class people. Our boys liked to be there and dig up fake gold in the water (that's why I give it one star) but we received many times a bad treatment so we will not come back. We couldn't get a table for dinner at the restaurant as there was a private party the whole evening so we needed to take the car and find a restaurant outside Eldorado. My boy needed to wait much longer than all the other children to get a horse ride. When I complained in English that the horseman was letting many children passing in front of my child, I just got ignored.

Overall it's a nice place to walk around, but we didn't see Wolves, Otter or raccoons. So considefing that we drove 2 hours from Berlin to here ( with traffic jam), it's not worth it. Not as exotic and immediate as the nearby Eberswalde zoo, but a fine, beautiful park with some interesting animals, all of which were at one time native to the area. Rüdersdorf Museum Park

Open air museum
Nature & Parks
Rüdersdorf Museum Park offers a range of attractions, including nature trails, a geology museum, and picnic spots. Visitors can take tours of an active limestone quarry and mine, where they can witness explosions for mining the limestone. The main museum area features old and new buildings, historical windmills, and a brewery. Guided tours are available for groups, providing in-depth knowledge about the site's history and geology.
Not only is a great historical place, the staff was friendly and interesting to talk to. Big plus that you can bring your bike in and tour inside the museum grounds. Makes it a bit quicker. There’s also a small river and places to sit on a side so you can chill after a long bike ride
Carlos C — Google review
I have had the pleasure of visiting Museumspark Rüdersdorf three times for festivals and countless times to decorate and Plan. Each visit has been a fantastic experience. The space is absolutely massive, offering endless room for creativity, whether you are hosting an open-air event, a festival, a retreat, or any type of gathering. The old factory serves as a stunning backdrop, adding character and atmosphere to any event. One of the best features is the on-site accommodation, which is super convenient for organizers and staff who need to stay longer. It is a great place to build your dream event. However, I have to mention that in the past year, the prices have risen significantly, which has been disappointing. This change makes it harder to give a full five-star rating. And the trash disposal could be organized better. Despite this, I still highly recommend the venue for its unique charm and potential.

We had a very nice pre-booked tour of the quarry. Guides were very knowledgeable and took their time especially with the children. They ensured the everyone found an exciting fossil at the dig! After induction and a tour in the museum we were driven in Landrovers to the dig. At 10 and 1330 you might be lucky to see the explosion for mining the limestone. Bring a little bucket and hardy shoes. Safety equipment and digging tools are provided.

The Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial is a museum and memorial located in Lichtenberg, Berlin. It was originally a site used by the Nazis and later transformed into a remand prison by the Soviets, known as Special Encampment No.3, which was further expanded by the Stasi.
Great history lesson. And if you are of a certain age, a lot of it happened in your own lifetime. Brutal treatment by the Russians after the war, and then in more recent times by the communist German secret police. Very interesting tour led by historian Andreas Ott, who escaped the east when only 19. Some of the other tour guides had experience as prisoners here. Tour lasts around 2 hours. Some great tales told. Well worth the trip out to the east end.
Bruce R — Google review
The location can only be visited with a guide and tours are available at fixed hours. They have guides available in: German and English. The visit was beautiful, the guide was ok, with many explanations. The tour lasts about 2 hours. You are allowed to take pictures and film inside. The cost is 9 euros. It was worth the whole tour. I recommend. 👍

The whole memorial area is a very educational location, great to share and spread awareness on the atrocities of the Nazi regime. Not for the faint hearted. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, get snacks, & most importantly pick a guide that's passionate; I was lucky to have Paul from Get your Guide, who gave us the nitty gritty details of the whole camp and it's history.
Nour N — Google review
Good place to remember an important part of our history, it does a good job of putting the crimes of the Stasi into context. Tours are lead by contemporaries and former inmates, very nice and informative guides. When i visited, the weather really sucked but otherwise it’s a well designed visitor center with a decent bookstore.

Impressive visit, thanks to the decor that brings you straight back to DDR days and especially thanks to the tour guide that himself had to spend years in the prison. Must visit when in Berlin.
Katrien D — Google review
This tour was the highlight of our time in Berlin. Our guide, Johannes, was extraordinary — deeply passionate and able to convey the history of the prison in a way that was powerful and moving. He led us through what life was like for prisoners, from the early, horrific conditions to the later era of psychological torment. It’s not an easy visit, but it’s an incredibly important and unforgettable one.
Eileen B — Google review
Our tour guide was such a brilliant and respectful teacher about the GDR, the Stasi, and the prison itself. I deeply wish I could remember his name, but he led the English tour and has a beard and glasses if that helps. I knew very little about the Stasi before attending a the tour and our guide allowed us to ask questions and also encouraged us to reflect on how we can protect human rights in the present day.

The Stasi Museum, located in the former headquarters of the Stasi, offers a compelling insight into the operations of the notorious East German secret police during the Cold War. Visitors can explore original spying equipment and archives while gaining an understanding of how the Stasi influenced all aspects of life in East Germany. The museum also provides access to Erich Mielke's offices, offering a glimpse into one of the most feared figures in communist East Germany.
While this is not one of the most beautiful sites to see in Berlin, it is an interesting place that is housed within the walls of history itself. These were the original headquarters of the Stasi itself and the museum offers a good insight into the operations and activities of an omni present state oversight department. A high light of a trip for any historian.
The A — Google review
For history buffs, the Stasi Museum is an absolute must. Housed in the former espionage headquarters of the DDR, it offers a fascinating collection of photographs, artifacts, and—perhaps most compelling—original rooms once used by the secret service. You can easily spend hours exploring everything it has to offer.
Alex G — Google review
This incredibly immersive museum does an excellent job of demonstrating the reach, power, and aims of the DDR’s Stasi repressive domestic intelligence agency. The exhibits highlight the stories of those who either willingly or were compelled to cooperate with the Stasi, as well as the techniques and methods the agency and its head Erich Mielke utilized to maintain control until the collapse of communism in 1990.
Michael N — Google review
The Stasi Museum in Berlin is a place of reflection and learning. It presents East Germany’s history with care, emphasising both the political realities and the personal experiences of those who lived under the Stasi. The building, the offices, and the rooms provide a humbling encounter with history.
Carlotta P — Google review
Excellent museum if you’re a history buff. The original rooms are great and really captures the mood. The €1 upsell to allow you to take photos inside is a fairly ironic annoyance considering this place’s past.

Very interesting museum. It felt strange to walk the same halls as former Stasi officers but also was very immersive, and neat how well preserved everything was- down to the chairs and paintings on the walls. Great museum, if you are interested in this kind of topic. I could join a group with a guide and it was even better, spend 2 hours in the guided walk, but you could spend much more time there.

Sachsenhausen Memorial & Museum

Museum
Sights & Landmarks
The Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen is a powerful site that serves as a reminder of the atrocities committed during the Nazi regime. Visitors can explore the camp at their own pace, with guided tours available for deeper insight. The museum houses numerous artifacts, descriptions, and first-hand accounts that shed light on the horrors that took place there. Audio guides are recommended for a more comprehensive experience. While some parts of the camp have deteriorated over time, the sheer scale of the site is awe-inspiring.
One of the best I have been to. With the audio guide and information boards you can really get a feel of what was happening here over the 30 to 60 time period
Paul A — Google review
It was very informative with a cheap audio guide (roughly €3. 50). Entry is free. It's not very easy to find your way there if you're using public transport. Google Maps took us in via an office complex and police headquarters (the old SS training camp, I believe). It's got a lot of information in the different rooms with a lot of reading, although plenty of different languages are catered for. A lot of the main areas to visit have been restored or rebuilt and it's hard to gauge the conditions of the time. It does seem to be a work in progress to restore everything and add extra sections. Some of the interactive exhibits didn't seem to work which would be troublesome for those who needed audio guidance. The computers we were using at one point just all turned off. I would recommend it but it needs a full day and plenty of energy for all of the walking and some stamina for the reading. I think they offer guided tours but I'm not certain.

This is an amazing place and a must see. Its part of our world's history. The Nazis were so cruel. I was so upset when I visited today at the hurt and pain the Jews suffered in the concentration camps. May they all rest in peace now.

A profoundly moving and essential memorial. The Sachsenhausen Memorial & Museum is thoughtfully curated, offering deep insight into both the Nazi concentration camp and post-war Soviet use. The exhibitions, preserved buildings, and memorials are powerful and respectful. A must-visit for anyone seeking to understand this history.

Ok visit, but not that many original details still there which makes it more difficult to grasp the extent of the horror, especially for our teens. I don't want to say it's necessary to have the horrific details around, but to me it does bring a tangible message across for next generations, to make sure it never happens again.

We did this tour when we visited Berlin for a few days in March. As a history lover this was right up my street. We did this with a guide Campbell who was very knowledgeable. The tour itself was very informative, with a range of information boards and material to read through at your leisure. Very moving place to visit. Would recommend a visit if you enjoy history

Treptower Park is a partly-forested riverfront park located in Alt Treptow, alongside the River Spree. It's an extension of Kreuzberg and features a pleasant riverside, the city's most striking Soviet memorial honoring 5,000 soldiers, and the adjacent Planterwald.
What a massive park. What amazing views, with such a historical importance too. there’s a little island in the middle of the park that I strongly recommend to visit. Perfect for running, yoga, picnic or just a calming walk too.
Akhila N — Google review
Good park for hanging out and small picnic. It's by the spree so one can enjoy the water view, beautiful Sky, Nature and greenery. You can also find benches, flowers and fountain. Good place for families and children to play

I observed a monument for Russian soldiers. This pathetic monument symbolizing victory of Soviet Union in WWII and all symbolic depicts Soviet and Russian propaganda about Russians as deliberators of Europe. So I had a complex feeling- from one point - it’s a quality piece of art, from the other side, it’s a disgusting sample of propaganda
Svetlana Z — Google review
If you are in Berlin, you should visit this place. The park is beautiful. It is full of paths for walkers and cyclists. You can cool off on hot days by the water in the shade of the trees. The only thing I don't like is the quote from Lenin and Stalin, which, in my opinion, spoils the overall impression a little. But overall, I recommend this place to everyone.
Jędrzej Z — Google review
A really beautiful park with plenty of space to relax. The lake is perfect for a short boat trip, and the small food stalls around the area are definitely worth trying. Sometimes there’s even an ice-cream stand open, which is a nice bonus. The overall vibe is calm and enjoyable, a great place to spend a few hours.
Adriana H — Google review
Lovely park, very large. I highly recommend taking a boat ride and trying the local cuisine there. Occasionally they have a lovely ice cream stand open. The atmosphere is always amazing.

Fabulous park. Has a very moving memorial to the Russian soldiers who saved the East Berliners from the Nazis. Lovely cafe's and plenty to do. Has a river running through it.
Tracy K — Google review
Wide park with a touching but imposing memorial to the Red Army for their victory in the Second World War, it is a wonderful place to both remember history and have a moment to walk outside and relax. It lacks public lighting, so it is strongly recommended to avoid the park at night as it is pitch dark.

TURM ErlebnisCity in Oranienburg is a fantastic destination for families and kids, offering a wide range of activities such as beach volleyball, hand car driving, playgrounds, cycling, pony rides, and more. The complex features indoor and outdoor water facilities with sports pools, saltwater pools, slides, play areas, saunas and wave pools. Visitors can also enjoy a refreshing cafeteria on-site.
It was a great experience. The temperature of water and the environment is very good. Not so cold not so warm. The waves that happen every one hour in the main pool were fantastic. The food was also great as well as the personal who were very helpful and friendly

A bit old-fashioned with clean facilities. Lots of fun. Restaurant has quite a few warm meal options (card payment available at entrance. Then you pay everything inside with a bracelet). Hairdryers are free. Easy access with public transportation
Isabella W — Google review
Great place just outside of Berlin. Less fancy than Tropical Islands, but fulfills all the needs of a family, from babies (34 deg C water), to young kids (and even adults) with some fun features. The dining options are somewhat limited and not cheap, and there are many different rules, but that’s Germany.
Daniel T — Google review
Misleading information on 4 hour tickets. They count the time spent from cashier to cashier rather than from entrance to the pools and exit. It is rather inconvenient as in case of single parent and with smaller kids, long hair, changing clothes, drying hair etc can only be done one after the other and takes significant time. Such a routine easily 40-50 minutes which is a lot how the ticket counts the time at the moment. I’d rather recommend to rethink how time is measured as there proper gates installed.
Zoltan P — Google review
A beautiful paddling pool with slides for children, teenagers and adults outside of Berlin. on a monday morning you can treat your beer belly to some sun while the artificial waves caress your buttocks. the food in the restaurant there was good and the prices were not cheap, a bit pricey. everything was clean and it was an amazingly fun stay

So I went here multiple times and had different experiences. So the Pools are cool and it is Perfect for Kids. I also liked the Sport- Pools. So a good experience, just a Little bit to many people.
Queen N — Google review
Very beautiful pools especially for when it's very hot, to be considered to be full especially on weekends and to go early in the morning
Ion C — Google review
Great place for a short break. There are several pools with different water temperatures, different depths and whirlpools. There is an area for very young children 👍👍👍 and a wave pool. The area is very clean and well maintained, there are ample smoking areas and sun loungers outside. Another plus is the presence of a small restaurant: no one will go hungry here. Special thanks for having quite large storage lockers 🔥 But be careful and keep an eye on your bags, especially in the entry/exit areas of the changing rooms: some visitors do not bother to keep an eye on their own children, so some children may touch your things without your permission 😐

The East Side Gallery is a preserved graffiti project covering a 1,316m-long remnant of the Berlin Wall in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. It celebrates the fall of the wall and features around 100 graffiti paintings by artists from all over the world.
A little way from the main tourist attractions, it’s a pleasant walk along the river Spree to see the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall. 1.3 km in length, decorated by over 100 artists with short information boards along the way. Here you get a feel of what a divided city this was. Only the 3.6 m inner wall remains but add the boundary signal fence, 3m border fence and a watchtower every 600 meters to appreciate how separate both sides must have felt.
Linda — Google review
I had to visit this place for my 3 days in Berlin and it didn't disappoint! Iconic to Berlin. Some are a trip and some I didn't get, but if you run into those you can walk right past to a new piece. Information on the artists is listed in front of the artwork. Super cool. I went solo I don't think I would want to go as a group by going solo you can spend time enjoying the parts you like and take it at your own pace.

An iconic open-air gallery full of history, emotion, and creativity. Each mural tells a unique story — from freedom and unity to peace and hope. Walking along the wall is both thought-provoking and inspiring. A must-visit in Berlin for anyone who wants to feel the city’s soul through art.
Alfred N — Google review
East Side Gallery – An iconic open-air landmark An absolutely iconic spot. It’s the longest preserved section of the Berlin Wall, stretching for about 1.5 km along the riverbank. Essentially, it’s an open-air museum showcasing creative, impactful, and often thought-provoking wall art from various artists. It’s definitely worth a visit, as it gives you a strong sense of what the divided city once looked and felt like. The artworks are unique, symbolic, and visually striking. It's also a great place for those classic “Berlin” hype photos. Many murals even include QR codes that provide background information about each piece. A small warning: the area is very busy and there are quite a few pickpockets around. Just keep an eye on your belongings so that this otherwise great experience isn’t spoiled. Overall, a must-see in Berlin.
Christos S — Google review
The East Side Gallery offers a wonderful walking experience filled with vibrant, amazing murals that vividly capture the history and spirit of Berlin. The artwork not only celebrates freedom but also includes clean, powerful graffiti that traces the story of the Berlin Wall dividing East and West Germany.Beyond the murals, the park behind the wall provides a peaceful and picturesque spot to relax after the walk, making the entire visit both culturally enriching and refreshing. It’s a must-see for anyone interested in history, art, and the unique atmosphere of Berlin.
A — Google review
As the history of Berlin is very dictated by the wall that separated it, very good to see it and easy to imagine how it would feel for the people living in the same city but separated from this giand wall. Also i liked that in the park nearby was a lot a people who were chilling, playing and having fun 🌞
Valdrin A — Google review
It was amazing to see the Berlin Wall up close, covered in murals that are not just beautiful but also carry powerful messages. For me it had historic moments to things that still feel relevant today. The walk isn’t too long, and every few steps there’s another piece of art that makes you stop and think. Definitely worth visiting.
Nabeel Z — Google review
I really enjoyed looking across at all the art and little tags locals and others had made on the wall, took plenty of photos. One thing that did irritate me slightly was the amount of attention the picture of the two men kissing got was ridiculous, also it was so crowded at this specific picture that it was almost impossible to take a photo of it and even walk past it, people by this specific picture were also very rude pushing others out of the way. It really upsets me because so many of the other pictures barely had any attention when I would argue there were so much nicer than the one stated above

Mauerpark is a former border between East and West Berlin that has been transformed into a vibrant park with grassland and trees. It is home to one of the most popular flea markets in Berlin, offering a bustling and village-like atmosphere. The park also hosts Bear-Pit Karaoke, where visitors can enjoy or participate in karaoke sessions in an amphitheater. Nearby, Arkonaplatz offers a more laid-back alternative flea market experience.
Mauerpark is a must-visit spot in Berlin. It has a unique vibe vibrant, authentic, and full of life. We went on a Sunday and it was packed with people enjoying the flea market, live music, street food, and plenty of art. It's the perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon, watch spontaneous performances, and soak up the multicultural spirit of the city. A space full of history, but also bursting with creativity. Highly recommended!
Aank S — Google review
Mauerpark is the perfect Berlin Sunday experience. The famous flea market was in full swing when I visited — stalls packed with vintage clothes, vinyl, art, handmade jewellery, and plenty of street food options. It’s busy, but not overwhelming, and it has that creative, free-spirited vibe Berlin does so well. What really stood out is that even with the markets on, the park itself still has plenty of space. You can step away from the crowd into open green areas to picnic, relax, or just people-watch. Musicians, performers, and random jam sessions pop up everywhere, so there’s always a soundtrack as you wander. The mix of locals and travellers makes it feel welcoming, and you get that authentic “community meets culture” vibe. Whether you’re there for treasure hunting at the stalls, catching some live music, or just lying on the grass soaking up the atmosphere, it’s a must-visit. Tip: go earlier if you want to explore the market without rushing, then spend the afternoon chilling in the park. Bring cash, an appetite, and time to really take it all in.
Beau S — Google review
Iconic place where many Berliners and tourists come together! Prices have gone up, but in general it feels also more organized. The flea market has bargains as well as high quality and costly fashion. What can be annoying sometimes is that it can be noisy from street artists, so talking and chilling is difficult. Easy to reach by public transport!

Mauerpark is a vibrant spot in Berlin, perfect for a relaxed day out. I loved the lively Sunday flea market, street food, and the famous bearpit karaoke. The park has a creative vibe with graffiti walls, music, and a friendly crowd. Great place to hang out, especially on weekends!

Whoa, this place is lively! There's music and shows everywhere. Alexanderplatz, with the TV tower in the background... It was pretty busy when we were in Berlin for the marathon, but it wasn't too packed. Loads of restaurants to choose from while you enjoy the view..

For years, whenever I come to Berlin, I've stayed near Alexanderplatz. There's always a lot going on there. Nearby are restaurants and shops, and from there you can reach any part of Berlin and beyond, either with a transfer or directly. Unfortunately, there are a lot of homeless people, but these are the times we live in... You have to be careful in the evenings, but I still love this place. I love the curry wurst, which has been available for many years in the same place, under the famous Alexanderplatz station sign.
Falkor — Google review
It's huge, but the subway decor is interesting if you like that sort of thing. Spotlessly clean and has some takeaway places along the way that served fresh food to go.

Alexanderplatz is a vibrant heart of Berlin, constantly alive with movement and atmosphere. With the TV Tower rising beside it and the famous World Clock at its center, the square feels unmistakably iconic. It’s surrounded by an endless mix of shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars, making it an easy place to wander, explore, or simply take in the buzz of the city. Thanks to excellent transport links, it’s also one of the most convenient spots to begin your Berlin adventures. Yes, it gets busy, but that lively energy is exactly what makes Alexanderplatz such a memorable stop.

One of the "main points" of Berlin and a good place to start from if you are visiting Berlin for the first time since you have mostly everything there- grocery stores, malls, cathedral, TV tower, museums and it's also near other main points such as Babelplatz with its faculties and some major historical places. Also covered with every transportation system- buses, trams, SBahns and UBahns.
