RE: EDITED This company was unwilling to refund clients impacted by corona-virus. Had over $11K paid to them, 2 weeks before day of departure, pandemic was announced. They refused to relax cancellation policies and only returned 25%. A loss of over $8K for services they did not even render! *****They have now offered a credit till the end of 2023, contingent on their partners still being in operation.*****

Fun place to take kids. But also for adults for swimming at the 50m pool. Mostly quiet in my experience but gets busier at weekends. The steam sauna is nice, not particularly hot. Dry sauna in the changing rooms, gender separated.
Duncan B — Google review
It could be a 4 star experience - however, both the changing rooms and restrooms were kinda gross and haven‘t been cleaned in hours. Super friendly staff though!
Roman K — Google review
Great. Had a lovely time in the spa the VIP section. Weekend kan be a bit crowded, so if i want to swim a week day might be better and wouls have less people and less kids. The restaurant is great and you could even order from the spa section, no need to leave it to order.
Haifa B — Google review
A beautiful and quiet place, very suitable for families and children. It has many swimming pools, jacuzzi and sauna. My colleagues and I were happy with this experience.
ABDULAZIZ A — Google review
We love coming here, however we're yet to visit when the wild water rapids have been working, do they only work at the weekend? Or do you have to ask to have them on? There was a sign saying they're switched on twice an hour but this never seems to happen. Both hot tubs weren't working either, but there was a sign saying that before you pay. Slides are always fun though!
Samantha P — Google review
Quite a quiet and pleasant place, the food service should be improved. I was ringing the bell for 30m to be attended to, no one did, so I left the place, a shame, but everything was fine.
Takumi_kouki — Google review
Very fun and lively place. While best suited for teenagers, anyone can have fun here. The play area consists of 3 water slides, a tunnel with flowing water and a climbing wall. There's also a smaller pool for exercise swimming.
Mikael E — Google review
Loved this place. There is 3 mid sized pools and a couple of hot tubs. At 95kr it is a bit steep to get in but worth it. There are so many fun elements to the kiddies pool including 2 long fast water flumes and a tunnel with currents that take you around. There is an area with a small rock climbing wall above it and a gateway where you can swim into the outdoor pool. On top of this there is numerous slides and such for younger children. The next pool is adult lane swimming and diving. Then next to that is another I didn't really see. The saunas and changing rooms are large with lots of locker space and if you forgot your swimwear you can buy some at the front desk.

Disappointing. Bought a cap gun for our son but the didn't have any of the caps to go with it. Only "ones that fit guns we don't sell".... no kids drinks available to buy. Was scorching hot almost 30°C and you think my 1 and 3 year old can drink coke or fanta....? The dinosaur thing has lost the baby dinosaur so its also disappointing. Generally lazy, low to no maintenance done to the place and we won't be returning

Nice polite bartenders. Food was great and not that expensive. Beer on the other hand was quite expensive. €7,50 for one bottle. I know it's always expensive in Sweden, but this was more than I was used to. For the rest it's a real nice scene to walk through, nice cottages and a good ambiance.

A very interesting place to visit. Our tour was guided by a real off duty Swedish Army officer. We very much enjoyed it.
Steve B — Google review
Interesting tour of a former swedish defensive structure, tour lasts about 1,5h. From the mountain top you get a nice view over the town and the other still-in-use barracks. On the large property there also are some additional structures to explore that aren't included in the tour and are free to visit. There's a little caffee where you can buy food and drinks, the owner is very friendly and kind.
Dani M — Google review
Really fun place with excellent tours. Perfectly preserved in working condition. Really nice place for a hike.
Pierre L — Google review
One of multiple fortresses purposed to defend Sweden being attached by Russia from the north as late as a couple of decades ago. Massive view over the Boden territory and there are guided tours every hour during summer. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to go for one and therefore we didn't get the opportunity to visit the insides of the fortress which was a shame. Definitely on the to-do list.
Johan W — Google review
Bikers be aware of the path taking you down from the top, it’s steep with a sharp turn all covered with loose gravel. The site itself is totally underestimated and could do so much more to add value for visitors. The guided tour is 2 hrs and a shorter version for families would be appreciated!

Best trip I have ever had thanks to this hotel ! I was on my honeymoon. The people who worked there wear amazing ! Very nice, always here to help you, and very kind. The food was good, the swiming pool was so fun, and I’m say an adult so trust me it’s really fun. The spa was nice but too many people and so many jaccuzi. Swedish people are really amazing, and they have great cultres. We also saw nothernlights several times. A big thank you to the staff !!

I was in Sweden for 2 days 2 years ago. My first night was in this place. It was really good. The swimming pool was good. My favourite was Space Bowl, but I hit my head a little bit, but it didn't hurt. I was at the Superior Room and I recommend for a 4-person family to sleep there. The breakfast there was super good. Recommend to be here
Liam K — Google review
The Piteå swimming pool is a clean, family-friendly facility with warm water, modern changing rooms, and a relaxed atmosphere. It offers separate pools for kids and adults, a small water slide, and a sauna area. Staff are kind and helpful. Perfect for families visiting northern Sweden.
Ahmad N — Google review
We bought an Easter package and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with our family. The price-performance ratio is quite good. The package we bought included the aquapark, breakfast and dinner. There is also an entertainment area for children and it is included in the price. It is an ideal holiday for families with children. The dinners were open buffet concept and were the same both days. The open buffet included sausage, tacos, chicken and meat (as well as other ingredients for tacos and french fries).

(Translated by Google) Small museum with a good insight into the history of Pitea and the region around this port city. The staff is nice and entry was free - the museum received five points due to free entry. Due to its size and the small number of exhibits and the lack of English-language descriptions, it would otherwise only receive four points. But it's definitely worth a visit, as there are few alternatives in this direction in the "paper city" (except of course the very good boat museum).

Swedish restaurant
Food & Drink
Nestled in a picturesque setting, Jössgården is a charming destination that beautifully blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Once a stable, the restaurant and conference area have been lovingly renovated to showcase stunning old stone walls and original wooden beams. The owners have poured their hearts into creating an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy homemade dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
Wonderful typical Swedish restaurant, excellent and will food, buffet of desserts and chocolates. Delightful staff. SUPER RECOMMENDED!
Carlotta F — Google review
Really nice little farm/cafe/restaurant. They serve some nice food and you can pet the horses. They have lots of animals and areas for the kids to play. Warmly recommended.
Pierre L — Google review
Had Christmas buffé here with work, and it was magical. The food was all homemade and most of it locally produced. The owners really put a lot of work into the place and the surrounding environment. The restaurant and conference part used to be a stable, now renovated and really charming with old stone walls and the carrying roof balk till intact. They also have a lot of activities, both for children and grownups. You can go ride in a horse waggon, there's a hot tub, smaller cabins for rental, conferences spaces available for meetings, with possibility for food, and other stuff. In the summer they also have a cafe. Would really recommend the place to anyone

Lapland Husky

Tours
Nature & Wildlife Tours
Highly recommend a husky tour with Kim and his team. We had a really nice small group tour and really enjoyed learning about the dogs, sledding, and the local environment. Kim’s passion for the sport and the animals was obvious, which made the tour that much more fun and immersive. The dogs were so happy and well cared for, and it was really great seeing them running which they love to do. Really a great way to see some beautiful local scenery and meet these amazing animals 🙂.
Dariusz L — Google review
For anyone, but especially dog lovers, this is a bucket list experience. Kim seems to pour his heart and soul into the dogs and it really shows. Listening to him describe his passion and experience with dogsledding and his philosophy on working with animals was truly fascinating and beautiful. This is the place to go if you love dogs and want an intimate experience playing with and being part of the pack. These dogs truly have the best life! Thanks Kim for sharing your knowledge with a bunch of city-slickers.
Dara L — Google review
Our day with Kim and his huskies was one of the most magical experiences of my life. We loved meeting him and the dogs, and our sled ride through a winter wonderland landscape was totally thrilling. Absolutely the highlight of our trip!
Rachel C — Google review
Kim n Christian were great. We had a blast despite it being low season / not enough snow for the other trails. The jackets, pants, and boots they provided were super warm. This was my first for this type of excursion so I might be biased but this was a 10 out of 10 for me.

Storforsen Hotell AB

Hotel
Outdoor Activities
Relaxed riverfront property offering a restaurant & a hot tub, plus free Wi-Fi & parking.
Very nice location and cozy cabins. Took some time to get the temperature correct. The warm water doesn't last long though which is weird for cabins that can host 4 people. The surroundings are great and the lunch buffet very nice.
A G — Google review
Absolutely wonderful hotel! We booked an accommodation package and were thrilled with everything. The room was modern, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with a fantastic bathroom — but the real highlight was the stunning view! The staff were polite, helpful, and always smiling — they truly go above and beyond and definitely deserve a raise! Special praise goes to the kitchen: the buffet dinner was excellent, and the ox filet was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also impressive, with a wide selection that can satisfy even the pickiest eaters. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and give it a 5+ rating across the board!
Nina B — Google review
Storforsen Hotel is set on the edge of a lake, offering an amazing view of the rapids. The hotel features generously sized rooms and an excellent restaurant with a good selection of food and drink. The staff are friendly and approachable. Amenities include a sauna, pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, darts and pool. Highly recommended
Martin S — Google review
What a great place to stay at, spacious rooms that are clean and well maintained. Albeit a bit dated, but that is not necessarily a negative when you are in this surrounding, your time is not meant to be spent in the room. Amenities and staff was great, however food was sub par and expensive when we visited.
Daniel A — Google review
What an incredible place. The location is beautiful and secluded. The food buffet is always delicious and refreshing. The greatest thing is the staff. Everyone who works here is so kind and goes out of the way to help with anything at anytime. We rented mountain bikes and had a blast, however we all had issues with our bikes - they all needed repair. That’s my only feedback for the resort. Everything else was perfect.

Karim R — Google review
A great place to stay at the amazing waterfalls. The rooms are comfortable and the view on the lake side is great. The sound of the water is amazing.
Deepak G — Google review
Storforsen is one of the most impressive natural attractions in Norrbotten County, northern Sweden. Located on the Piteälven River, this powerful rapid stretches over 5 kilometers, with the main 1-kilometer section carrying up to 250,000 liters of water per second during peak flow. Around the rapids, well-maintained wooden walkways lead you through beautiful smaller waterfalls and side streams. At the bottom, the rapids meet the calmer river, where the Storforsen Hotel is located, offering comfortable rooms, a restaurant, sauna, and outdoor hot tubs. The hotel is also popular among car manufacturers testing vehicles in winter conditions. Nearby, there is a charming open-air church. In the upper area, visitors will find a large parking lot, a small store for snacks and souvenirs, many walking trails, and barbecue areas. In summer, temperatures range from 10°C to 25°C, while in winter it often drops below -20°C, creating spectacular ice scenery around the still-rushing rapids.

We never got bored! The landscapes are magical, the organization is top notch, we have good accommodation, we eat really well, the guides are super friendly and very professional! And of course all accompanied by a Sauna in the evening! I recommend, I'm even thinking of doing it again next year! (Original) Génialissime ! They took great care of us and introduced us to their Lappish daily life, their limitless love for dogs and the beauty of the surrounding nature. The stay in Lapland mush was a real wonder: snowshoe walks, magical sled dog outings which allowed us to live the long term while respecting the effort of the dogs, constantly encouraged by their master. We never thought we could get so close to dogs that we would surprise ourselves with the desire to cuddle them, thank them and take care of them. An unforgettable stay that we recommend to everyone! Thank you both Lisa and Cédric.

(Translated by Google) An old and fine Hembygdsgård outside Arvidsjaur that tells the story of the life of the Sámi and the priests in the past. There are several wooden buildings on the site, of which the largest building contains a museum, shop and cafe. In the café, waffles with jam and cream and coffee are served. And it smells good all over the top floor of the waffles. The museum is downstairs and the shop and cafe are upstairs. It is an association that runs this business. Lots of handicrafts, wooden items, thick socks, winter fairs, cloth bags and tote bags, tablecloths, bracelets and earrings. It's a bit of a shame that the opening hours are so short, if you go in on a Saturday to shop in Arvidsjaur, you might not have time to do everything on the day, so Hembygdsgården, the Old Rectory could have been open for an extra hour. It was a bit difficult to find there. The museum is free to enter. Båtsuoj Samesenter is a must-visit destination in Lapland for those interested in experiencing the traditional livelihood of the forest Sami people. Run by Tom and Lotta Svensson, who are Swedish Sami, this center offers an immersive experience where visitors can witness reindeer being lassoed, stay overnight in a typical forest Sami log hut called a kata, learn about Sami shamanic practices, and enjoy grilled reindeer and coffee cooked over a wood fire.
Meet Tom and Lotta which are Swedish Sami people. They are not living like its traditional way but they are Sami. Here you can get a inside how Sami people have lived in the early days. Lotta is a sjamaan and that makes it a very special place to be.

Silvermuseet, located in Arjeplog, is a captivating museum housed in a former nomad school. It boasts an extensive collection of Sami silver objects, including belt buckles, spoons, goblets, and collars with cultural significance. Visitors can also admire unique items such as the dassko bag for silver spoons and ancient skis worn by Sami hunters.
Absolutely amazing museum where you can learn about life in Arjeplog in the past, the cool sámi people, the nature and surroundings and the impressive doctor who worked in the area for decades and later established this museum after his retirement. Through a picture slideshow and rooms decorated as in the past, you could get a feeling how people actually lived. Also the museum staff were very friendly and shared their stories and experiences. Would highly recommend a visit! I was very pleased with mine. Thank you for having me!
Uki B — Google review
Outstanding cultural historical museum featuring the Sami way of life and art forms. The museum shop is excellent and features a very interesting and rich book section. There was a separate exhibition of heads of famous people made in felt, a local technique also used to produce boots. The museum is very well curated and we consider a visit a must if you are in the region.
Sebastian R — Google review
One of the best museums I've seen so far in Sweden. A lot of explanations in English about local life. Don't miss the slideshow...and coffee!
Agnieszka W — Google review
Visited during Autumn Market Saturday. Really great exhibition on Sami culture and clothing with silver ornaments and decorations. Great book shop. Fantastic indoor and outdoor market stalls with local produce.
Anne T — Google review
Nice little museum with friendly staff. Entrance under age of 18 is free and for adults 80SEK. Exhibition showed how sami people lived, hunted etc you can see their silver accessories and some prehistoric tools. One bad thing with this museum was that at least half of the exhibition was only in Swedish and not in English, so a bit hard to understand the history and context overall.
Indrek K — Google review
The museum shows local history in different facets. The life of the Sámi, their jewelry and utensils are shown exemplarily. But also something about the founder of the museum, the doctor Einar Wallquist, whose collection was the starting point. The surprisingly large first floor is unexpectedly modern in design. The museum must of course try the impossible balancing act of combining the various exhibits into a whole exhibition. With some topics this succeeds excellently, with others the visitor can at least get a fragmentary impression of another time and culture.
Andro M — Google review
Silvermuseet is an outstanding place to learn about the lives of local people. The exhibits provide a fascinating glimpse into their daily living, clothing, and overall lifestyle. The museum also features a short film, which enhances the experience by offering a visual representation of the historical context. I highly recommend visiting Silvermuseet for anyone interested in cultural history and local traditions.

A large souvenir shop, with a café. Lots of different Norwegian products; T-shirts, caps, sweatshirts, children's clothes, etc. The outdoor terrain is amazing. There were trails in every direction where you could have gone hiking.

Like the place (visited in July), recommend to stop. Inside the center, there are a lot of Norwegian souvenirs 🫶🏼

The Arctic Circle Centre is an excellent place to stop during a long journey. Although the prices of the items are a little high, my Norwegian husband didn't find them so. The baguette with reindeer meat was something special, and the staff are exceptionally friendly.

Beaches
Mjelle is a remote and pristine beach located about 15 km north of Bodo towards Kjerringoy. It's known for its small red granade stones in the sand, creating a unique and picturesque setting. The beach offers no facilities, so visitors are advised to bring their own supplies for the day.
A magical beach off the beaten track. This place should be visited if you are in Bodø: you are bound to spend the whole day in the summer. Make sure to bring your supplies and pack a picknic. This will easily become a favourite spot for many.
Damir A — Google review
A very peaceful and romantic place. Light sand, clear water. Almost no people — perfect for enjoying nature in solitude. You need to walk a bit to reach the beach, but that only adds to the atmosphere. A great spot for a walk, photos, and quiet relaxation. Especially beautiful at sunset. If you're near Bodø — be sure to visit. This is one of those beaches you’ll never forget.
Анастасия Б — Google review
It's not surprising that this beach is featured in songs and literature from the area. It is highly visited but still pristine. A bit off the beaten track for visitors to Bodø, but this is a bit of tamed wilderness worth seeing. This is fantastic remote beach Mjelle about 15 km out north of Bodø towards Kjerringøy. It's not really red but in parts it has a lot of small red granade stones in the sand. The beach has no facilities at all, so I needed to bring my suppleres for the day. Anyone can find nudity occurs here. However, there is normally more than enough space so no-one won't be bothered by other people. We need to find a spot and enjoy our day and maybe the night to see the midnight sun over Lofoten Islands.

Always a nice view at Mjelle. Red sand, nice and clean ocean and just short hike to get to this nice scenery especially during summer and autumn. 😍
