It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not, it still feels nice to visit that kind of space, gives some kind of feeling of freedom and calmness, serenity.

A quiet place for all kind of people. No Matt, religious, or any. Meditate here and you'll feel so good. The inside of pyramid is just sometimes i cannot note down or explain in the reviews. For that one needs to visit that place. The echoing inside the pyramid is so soothing to the ears. It's a Kinda religious place for Christians. Don't forget to read the institute before entering the pyramid. Also they've Healing water taps in a separate room, don't forget to carry along with you a filled bottle.

All free to visit and park. Pyramid Dome is incredibly with phenomenal acoustics. Spiritual water with bottles available for a voluntary donation. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Nice watchtower! Worth a visit for the view. As tourist, there was not really information in other languages than polish. But with a translated you can manage. We had the luck to see some cows standing on an island.

Old villages hardly touched by civilization, old style bee hives still sitting in the trees, clear streams and springs that you can drink from, boggs and natural forests that are difficult to find in Europe. Well worth a visit!

Auto Moto Parkas was the main reason for us, to visit Lithuania from Switzerland. We did the monster truck drive and rally. We had a lot of fun and it was an amazing experience, also thanks to the hosts, that were very nice and funny. Would recommend it to anyone with a passion for cars.

What an amazing experience. I was gifted a rally and Aiste (one of the professional drivers) created an unforgettable memory for me while we drove around the course. Everyone here is so welcoming and makes sure that you feel safe. I had the opportunity to experience both a monster car ride and a rally drive which was awesome. A fun ride. If there's anyone seeking some soft adrenaline this place is a must go. There are few options with monster trucks, to drive with a driver and to try driving yourself. We went for the first option and it was very fun. There's also racing cars around and you can drive with them. The sad thing is, the prices. It seemed pretty expensive at first when buying the coupon, but then when arriving they asked to pay 30 euros more because of rising gas prices... While it's understandable it is also absurd..

The castle was very nice. There is also a museum in the tower and the ticket costs 6€ for adult. We even got an english guidebook. You can park outside for free.

It was quite a surprise! It is well visible from the road. Enormous walls, slightly falling down, very good exhibition in the main tower. It must be the best castle in Lithuania — way more authentic and exciting than Trakai or Vilnius, which look like stage sets; better than Kaunas too, purely because of its spectacular austere setting, which cannot have changed much since the times of crusaders.

Castle is renovated. You can get on top of main tower. There is also museum inside main tower which is small, but pleasant. I recommend it as a weekend trip from Vilnius (~40 min drive) with kids.

Hi everyone. Last Sunday of mnth, free entry for most museums. 6€ for adults, free for kids to 7 and etc. U can take photos for free, and some profi for extra charge. Well, a lot parking space, if it was for cash would love to see more, but for free😀, very nice. Ok, seriously, if it is summer, go, don't know nothing about winter. Go with kids, they will love it and btw u got the whole room of ex-president Brazauskas trofees.

This is a beautiful church in a breathtaking place in Lithuania, a couple of dozen kilometers from the capital, from Vilnius. This place, this town, Trakai, which is located between the beautiful lakes and which in the old days was the capital of the Lithuanian duchy, simply incomparably magnificent. This church was founded in the first half of the 19th century, during the Russian imperial occupation of Lithuania. First, a small building was built. During the brutal First World War, the church was badly damaged. After several years of worship, the divine service was restored there.

A beautiful church worth visiting. However, it may not be easy to park a car nearby, and the church itself is not always open.

Stunning castle in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. We were lucky with the weather as it had been raining all day the previous day. The restauration of the castle is amazing and still ongoing. Certain areas were closed because of that and because we visited out of season. But still lots to see with a huge number of period artefacts. Gives you an idea of how important trade was. Tranquil setting with nice walks in the area. Not many visitors but I can imagine it gets very busy in Summer. Good restaurants around on the lake side leading to the castle. It's a good walk from the station, about 3km, but beautiful along the lakes. The whole experience was magnificent and the on site toilets were immaculate. Access for wheelchair users a bit tricky and you need to be fairly sure footed due to the old cobbled roads and paths. But what a place. Return rail ticket from Vilnius was about €6.

A very cool medieval castle and a museum! Despite some rain and October gloomy weather, we had a great time exploring the castle. The grey skies gave the whole location a nice vibe, and the forest and lake surrounding the castle looked stunning.

Had an lovely experience visiting Trakai. Nestled in nature, the entire environment is incredibly calming and beautiful. Trakai Castle in autumn is simply magical — peaceful, picturesque, and full of history.

During our visit, a portion of the castle was closed for renovation, which unfortunately affected the quality of our photographs. St Anne’s Church is the most beautiful and famous structure in Vilnius. It was constructed during 1495-1500 at Vilnius old town. The intricate design of the church makes it an outstanding piece of architecture. The exterior of the church has remained almost unchanged, though the interior has been repaired many times. The interiors of the church feature unique paintings and decorative wood carvings that are truly beautiful. Enjoyed visiting the church very much.

Today is Easter and we went into the Church of St. Anne. According to legend, Napoleon would like to place it on the palm of his hand and transfer it to Paris. But the church in the style of "Flamboyant Gothic" still decorates our city. This small and very beautiful church is often open on church holidays. And whenever we go in, we see a haze. Maybe because of this smoke, it has a light, airy atmosphere.

One of the most impressive churches I’ve seen from an architectural point of view. Truly magnificent both outside and inside. Take a moment to admire it from the park on the other side of the street before entering through the main gate into the main church. A must see in Vilnius.

One of the most beautiful and epic churches I've been. Interestingly enough it has a carving of the Godess Ishtar. Which is a pagan symbol.

This Late Gothic Church uses 33 profiles of bricks in the faccade. The History does not say it but I wonder if 33 profiles are used to represent that Christ was 33 when he was crucified. Napolen destroyed the church in battles of 1812 and was rebuilt in 19th century with a belfry of NeoGoghic style. The Soviets used it as storage and offices. Even do, the interior was revitalized in late 1990s by the monks, and the chapel is in Benedictine monk honor. We spent over an hour exploring, including a secret room with frescos and wood works under reconstruction. Take photos of the frescos that were painted over by the Soviets as the trues colors come out on photos.

The Vlinius Cathedral is jaw dropping. You don't need tickets. The building is so stunning, just the exterior is worth the trip (by all means, go inside, but I'm just saying it's a very impressive building). Do not miss out. Budget some time to see the Vilnius Cathedral when visiting.

Free to walk up to and around the grounds for a fantastic view but you have to pay for the tower. Be careful of the stones going up to the castle or you can take the funicular for 3EUR return. Would highly recommend to visit for the beautiful scenes!

Visited on our day trip to Vilnius. There was no funicular working on the day which was limiting for some visiting. The path up is part cobble (very uneven) and wooden stairs so while the renovation is ongoing if you have mobility issues it may not be for you(September25). Good Views of the city. €8 to enter. We did not go in. The whole site is limited due to restoration work but still worth the climb

Gediminas Castle is a great place to visit in Vilnius. It’s on a hill, and from the top, you get an amazing view of the whole city, especially at sunset. You can walk up or take the funicular if you don’t want to climb. The tower has a small museum inside where you can learn a bit about Lithuania’s history. It’s not very big. The best part is definitely the view, it’s perfect for photos and just relaxing for a while. If you’re in Vilnius, this is one of the top spots to see!

Vilnius is very beautiful. We really enjoyed short walk through the forest to see this monument. The view was amazing. We really liked it. This was one of my favourite spots there.

This is a fantastic spot for a hike, whether you’re going with friends or just enjoying some time alone! It’s a short, easy walk—about 300 to 400 meters—up to the top of the mountain, where you’ll find the three crosses monument. As you approach the monument, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful trees in the autumn, making it a perfect photo opportunity. At the top you can witness beautiful Vilnius city.

Monument itself is not interesting but its location is very Beautiful. To reach here you have to pass through the history. And you would go really back in time. Best special thing about this place is if you go up there at sunset.

A bit of a climb to get to the top with over 200 steps but the view is well worth it. You have to view this beautiful peaceful place to just take in the scenery.

Trijų kryžių kalnas is not only a powerful symbol of Vilnius but also one of the best spots for a panoramic view of the city. The walk up is a bit steep but manageable – around 10–15 minutes from Bernardine Gardens or the stairs near the Artillery Bastion. Wear comfortable shoes, especially if the weather is wet, as the paths can get slippery. Facilities are quite basic – there are no cafés or toilets directly on the hill, so it’s better to use the facilities in Bernardine Gardens or nearby Old Town before climbing up. The area is safe and well-maintained, and in the evenings the crosses are beautifully illuminated. It’s worth timing your visit for sunset – the colors over Vilnius are unforgettable. Practical tips: • Best access: start from Bernardine Gardens, follow the marked path. • No entry fee, open all day and night. • Bring water on hot days. • Perfect spot for photos, so don’t forget your camera or power bank. • Families with children should plan extra time – kids usually love running around the open space at the top. • Great for couples too – very romantic in the evening light. Overall, this is one of Vilnius’ most iconic and meaningful places, combining history, legends, and breathtaking views. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful and calm place. We went to enjoy the sunset and see the city view. It was quite worth visiting the place. It was bit cooler on the top due to wind in the month of august. You need to hike on stairs for maximum 20 mins to 30 mins depending on your pace.

From my personal interest, this is one of the most fascinating museums I've ever visited. A building which was both a "home" for the Gestapo and the KGB, it is now a museum which tells the story of the people of Lithuania during decades of occupation, repression and death. The most eerie parts are the corridors of the prison cells and the execution chamber. I truly recommend this museum for anyone visiting Vilnius

Everyone who goes to Vilnius should go to this museum... as a reminder of the suffering of the Lithuanian people in their struggle for independence and freedom. Be prepared though... it is very sad and some of the information was shocking. But it's a must do if you're visiting Vilnius.

This place is practically living history. I assume some of the people who worked here are still living. It's a pretty sinister place. People can really think of ways to make the lives of others miserable if they don't conform to their rules. It makes me think that humanity should be doomed. All of the material is presented in Lithuanian and English.

A sobering account of Soviet oppression at a telling moment in modern times. This museum is a converted former KGB prison, with detailed explanation of the horrors of incarceration and what it feels like to be culturally and politically suppressed by an aggressive hostile country. It recounts the resistance efforts of ordinary Lithuanians in the face of insurmountable odds, and reveals their heroism even in the bleakest of times.

Somber and very sobering. A must see and visit place to understand the Baltic States' history and current situation. Very detailed history of the KGB and the oppression of the Lithuanian people. It's a listed building and kept as much as it was when Vilnius returned to an independent state. Incredible lower level prison cells and interrogation rooms of political prisoners. There is an execution room but we could only last 30 seconds in there as it was to upsetting. We were the only ones there. Afterwards we went to see the names carved in the stone bricks at the front of the building. Emotional and enlightening visit.

Former KGB prison. To day a museum with a very complete documentation and very visible exhibition of the horrible and terrifying history of Latvia before- , during and after the war. Breathtaking and goothbumps for me and I thinka lot of visitors.

An impressive looking church, really beautiful. We visited on a Friday in September and during our 20 minute visit we saw a total of 4 couples getting married. Two couples already married, one in the church, and one waiting for their turn.

Beautiful church. There’s a crypt which you need to find and turn on the switch. The lady who sat near the entrance asked me for donation when I was leaving. I have been to hundreds of churches around Europe. This is not common.

Hi everyone. That's true rewies. This time Puntukas stone. Going on weekend with a god weather? Go very early. Really busy, but REALLY nice.... they r selling kebabs😂😂ok that's true but am joking. Nothing to right about, but go. For 100% it's good for kids, weather, free parking (if u gonna find it). Don't take dogs, not everywhere its allowed.

Slightly worn out papers on the history of the place, and on the top of the tower over viewing the area, the words are barely readable. Other than that 5 stars

Mother of all stones. The place is massive but it could have been more interesting if they gave more history. Where they found it, how hard to put it in place and the carving of the two Lithuanian pilots, which was done in secret as Soviet Lithuania did not recognized them as heros.

It is the second largest boulder in Lithuania. In 1943 the sculptor Bronius Pundzius completed the bas-reliefs and words from the testaments of Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, the pilots that have flown across the Atlantic Ocean.

You can tell the stone is ancient and has seen many souls over the centuries

I’ve visited this place a few times now, the tree top walk and viewing platform are great fun. The view from the viewing platform is great, but a word of warning the floor is constructed from metal grates so you can see though it - you’ll need a head for heights. During the summer there can be lots of mosquitoes as I found out, I’d recommend wearing trousers! Well worth a visit.

It's a great family activity. Walking above the trees is a very interesting experience. After the trail, there are two cafes with a fairly wide selection of food, which is also nice.

The Tree Top Walking Path offers a unique and refreshing experience walking among the treetops with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding forest. The path is mostly flat and accessible, making it suitable for all ages. The highlight is the observation tower with breathtaking vistas and a fun 55-meter tunnel slide for some added adventure. The adjacent Adventure Forest playground is perfect for families, with plenty of activities for kids. The staff are friendly, and the facilities, including clean toilets, are well maintained. It's a peaceful nature escape with interesting birdwatching opportunities and beautiful seasonal colors, especially in autumn. A small entry fee applies, but the experience is well worth it. Highly recommended for nature lovers and families alike!

Very nice and relaxing place to be. Cost is loe, but for me the track was just too short. Nonetheless - still something different and enjoyed it. :)

A short quality experience in Anykščiai, in our case there was no wait for the tickets, cards are accepted. Lots of parking on the road to the path.

Nice surroundings in the middle of the national park but I expected longer treetrop walking path. We were in and out in about 10-15minutes (including going to the top of the lookout tower). The information center is quite nice and the people who work there are even nicer!

Visited recently on a day trip from Panevezys. There’s lots of free parking nearby, and a really interesting museum inside. Some interactive areas too, such as a weighted vest showing how much the chainmail vests weigh and a projected animation of how the swedes attacked the castle. Well worth a visit!

Historic Biržų pilies rūmai offers charming insight into Lithuanian nobility with restored interiors and informative exhibits. The castle grounds are pleasant for a stroll, though some rooms feel underwhelming. And yes, worth a visit.

Beautiful castle with a large museum exhibition. Entrance is €5 per person and you get to visit the museum which has three floors and the arsenal building located right next to the castle. The exhibition was interesting. The organisation of the exhibits could have been better. Also, there’s not so much history that would be specific to the Biržai region. The video in the arsenal building is poorly made. After spending 15 min watching the film we were left with so many questions. Overall it was a great 2 hours spent wandering around the museum and its beautiful garden.

A cute castle in the small town of Biržai. Interesting culture venue. In addition to the nice local library, we found the Jonas Mekas’ archives, two painting exhibition, and a small museum.

Entrance ticket cost to Castle inside where is located museum- 5eur. Around castle is nice and well maintained garden with nice view to lake. The museum is old fashioned with exposition which consist almost only on all kind of old stuff and junk. Nothing entertaning. Castle interior is plain, if you enjoy architecture or interior, inside there is not nothing impressive and worth seeing. The best view and experience is exterior and garden with amazing location.

Very nice place. You could walk around the castle and get amazing view over Birzai. The entrance still has old entrance and looking good. There was some construction work around area. We were in the evening, so the castle was closed but we will definitely go inside next time.

It was a gastronomic revelation and that is why we visited the restaurant two days in a row! Its' interior reminds a manor-like appartments, the food is superb and variety of beers could be served in jars - which provides an opportunity to have a small tasting ceremony.

Terrible experience! We arrived about 50 minutes before closing. We just asked to have some beers in the bar. Not even food. Ladies were extremely rude and made us clear they want us to leave from the place. They pretended that they don’t speak English and did not even answered our questions. Bad memory from a beautiful city. We just wanted to taste the local beer also.

Nice food for a good price. Tried the beer plate. Most of the beer was nice. The salad and pork were good. Salad 6.80 EUR. Pork with grilled vegetables and potatoes 10,50 EUR. Large beer (500 ml) - 2,50 EUR.

Amazing beer tasting experience combined with really great food! Totally worth visiting when in Birzai area. Plus there is a shop on premises with total selection of Rinkuskiai beer, including those mixed beer tasting kits.

This really old castle is located by the former main road and river. It's a very well restored location. There is still work to do but they are very far. It's more that worth to visit it. To the top of the tower is 85 steps one way. We enjoyed it very much.

Far from where tourists go but the place has a big history that's well explained. Most signs are strictly in Latvian though, some are translated into English. Be prepared to go up and down some steep stairs.

An interesting and heavily restored castle. History of the owners of the castle and their furniture, dress and military. Nice climb up the tower which gives great views of the town €4.50 for seniors

Passed Bauska for so many years 😬 and only now visited the castle - it was definitely worth it 🤩. A relatively small but beautiful castle, which was built in the middle of the 15th century by the Livonian Order in this place to strengthen its influence in Zemgale. Currently, the castle has been partially restored, other surviving parts have been preserved, and a museum is open. To get around the nearby territory and inside - it was about 3.7 km.

Must to visit place, a beautiful castle located in memorising landscape. Perfect place for Instagram photos, don't miss the largde bauska photo frame in the river side. Highly recommended place to spend time.

Most of the rooms are open to visitors, including the bedrooms and bathrooms of the Duke and Duchess — definitely worth a visit. It's usually not very crowded on weekdays. You can use an audio guide.

The palace was commissioned by Ernst Johann Biron, the lover of Tsarina Anna Ivanova who bestowed him the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia. The famous Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli designed and built a palace inspired by Versailles. Since the Duke was exiled to Siberia by his political enemies in 1740, the construction of the palace took place in two phases. During the first phase (1736-40) the palace itself was built, and during the second phase (1765-68) the furnishing of 138 rooms and halls was completed. During the Latvian War of Independence in 1919, the palace was badly damaged. In 1933, the palace was restored/rebuilt when a school was established. After the Rundāle Palace Museum was founded in 1972, a thorough and long-term restoration was immediately started, which was only completed in 2015. Thanks to this restoration, the palace once again radiates its 18th century grandeur, which visitors can admire in 40 rooms and halls. In addition to the magnificent interior, the French gardens are certainly worth a visit. So all in all, Rundāle Palace is a destination that should not be missed on your itinerary!

Absolutely stunning church. The blue domes are beautiful from the outside, but the real magic is inside... 😍 full of rich colours, gold details, and peaceful energy.

Stunning orthodox church with a sad story. The church traces its history to 1710, when Peter the Great, Tsar of Russia, arranged the marriage of his niece Anna to Frederick William, Duke of Courland. The duke promised to build an Orthodox church in Jelgava (then known as Mitau), his capital, but his premature death prevented this. Anna wanted to get married in this church that was yet to be built.

Extremely beautiful temple - inside and outside! It's also nice that they let you take pictures inside, which I could not in others!!...

Little museum consentrated on different aspects of history- history of St.Trinity church, History of Jelgava and more. Museum exhibits are interactive and they have thought about children aswell accessability. Tower has elevator to move up and down. You still have to open the door to get into exhibition room and use glass staircase to get to city viewing area just under the glass roof. This may be an issue for some people. On top floor you can enjoy Jelgava city views through glass roof. Interesting place to visit. Not too time consuming unless you go through absolutely everything. Then it can take hours. Lady in the ticket office while I visited was really friendly and helpful.

The crown jewel of the city. The tower has the best city views, the story of this important Latvian city, an excellent example of a romantic cafe (the best cafe ever for my very well travelled friend) with outstanding food and service, fun interactive galleries (try wedding clothes or period jewellery!), and paintings by Latvian artists.

Not much to see there! The digital expositions are just ok. The view of the city at the top is not any great as the metal structure and the glasses disturb the view. Pictures are not worth up there, as you can see in one of my pics. Just the outside view of the tower is interesting.

The Jelgava St. Trinity Church Tower is a charming historical site with a lot of character. Climbing to the top rewards you with fantastic panoramic views of Jelgava and the surrounding area. The tower is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful, sharing interesting details about the church’s history. It can be a bit crowded during peak hours, but the experience is worth it for both the views and the insight into local history. A lovely spot for visitors exploring Jelgava!

I didn't expect this place to be so interesting! There are only 4 floors of thd tower open but each floor has a room with something interesting to find out. There is a floor dedicated to the city history, the church and Jelgava fashion. The 9th floor is a cosy place made of glass where you can seat and enjoy the view of the city. The 8th floor is the restaurant. The entrance fee for adults is 2.50€. There is WC and the elevator. Do spend some time in each room: it's worth it, especially the fashion room. They show a short video about fashion changing through the years. Recommended for visiting 💯%

Beautifully renovated tower. On the top you can oversee the whole city through the glass roof. On some levels exhibitions. While on the level with clocks you will find great restaurant. During lunch hours you can try simple, but very interesting lunch offers. In the evenings you can have nice dinner. Tasty choices for vegetarians. Interior fabulous.

Nice view on the observation deck of the tower on the 9th floor. Only $1 euro per person to take elevator up. We took the stairs down to visit the gallery and had lunch on the 8th floor. Beautiful decor and relaxing atmosphere. The frog legs, snails & mussels were all yummy.

huge area, nice collection of plants, good way to spend your day. frog pond is awesome! some signs and maps are chaotic and confusing, I would add more benches and I would say the ticket is a bit overpriced, bit still recommended for a visit.

Well worth a visit. Salaspils is easy accessible by train and only 20 minutes away from Riga. A great collection of cacti.

We had a lovely day with my sister exploring different areas of the National Botanical Garden. We really enjoyed conservatory with all the expositions, and great greenhouse collection. I paid €8 to see the Botanical garden and also the conservatory. And there is plenty pathways to go for walks and see the garden all together. They also opened the new Botania - plant kingdom. There are toilets in main buildings and there are lots of places to explore with kids.

Easily one of the highest variety of plants, flowers, bonsais, trees, flowers and flora you could find in a national botanical garden. Classes available (with reservations) for school classes, massive sprawling park to walk around, a small children playground for outdoor entertainment, and a small lake to circumvent. An easy 30 min drive straight south from Riga, and parking available upon entry.

Glasshouses hold an interesting and impressive collection. Outside collections of roses, day lilies, lilies and peonies. Herbaceous borders developing nicely. If you are in Riga and have a botanical interest it’s worth the short trip from the centre.

was here with my class, it started raining so we didn't get to see much outdoor stuff, instead we went to see the indoor stuff in the "botanica" building, there's quite alot of stuff to see and learn about, the whole place also supports English and russian language.

One of the best botanic garden I've seen.

It you're interested in the history of Riga and unfortunately the pain they had to suffer, this is a most visit, pay respect and learn more about their history. There's a small museum, with exhibits in different languages. There are giant sculptures that tower over you and are a site to see, with explanation about them in the museum. We've only seen it during the winter and covered in snow, which gave it a rather beautiful image, so can't comment what it's like without. FYI: there's one toilet for all in the entire place, in a little cabin. I'm adding this because I think it's good to know. After exploring such a space, you may need to relieve your bladder. We spent nearly 2 hours here.

Beatiful Memorial. The exposition building and the statues are impressive. I would't recommend going to the site walking, It's a 30 minutes walk through the field from the train station to get to the entrance and there are no service shops or toilets nearby.

We took the train from Rīga to train station Dārziņi. Crossed the railway. Then passed the station building. On it's right side there is sign that shows direction of Salaspils Memorial Ensemble. We had to walk about 2km. The Ensemble is very impressive and well kept...There is also museum that shows the history, photographs and personal items ...

A leisure place to be able to walk, bike, ski, etc. But feeling the racing charisma of this racing circuit. I loved every minute on the track. 🤩🤩🤩

Amazing sculptures with a very sad story behind. Free entrance and free car park. Outside is open 24/7, not sure about inside (most probably has working hours). A lot to read and explore when in. Recommending to visit and explore the story behind this.

Brutalist memory of dead Latvians

Worth a visit and watch the videos in the memorial too. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the exhibition on how they built the memorial, it didn't seem fitting but maybe that's just me.
