Gurudwara Sukhchainana Sahib is a historic gurudwara located in Phagwara, Punjab, India. Situated near Phagwara Chandigarh highway. This sacred Gurudwara Sahib is associated with Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru, who visited Phagwara after winning the battles of Kartarpur and Plahi. The story goes that Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came to Phagwara to meet a devotee named Phagu, but Phagu, fearing the Mughals, refused to serve the Guru. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji then uttered the phrase "Phagu da wada, bahron mitha, andro khara," meaning "Phagu's promise is sweet on the outside but sour on the inside". Today, Gurudwara Sukhchainana Sahib is a place of great spiritual significance, attracting devotees from all over. This is a historical Gurdwara. Guru Hargobind sahib. Sixth Guru of sikhs visited this place and sat here under shadow of tree whilst winning battle with mughals and wanted to visit his disciple here but he came to know that his disciple is bit afraid of mughals. So he sat here instead of visiting his house. So this Gurdwara is constructed inhis memory

Museums
Specialty Museums
Chhindus Dhaba Khatkarkalan is a well-maintained memorial and museum dedicated to the brave freedom fighter Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji. Visitors can explore his life through audio-visual aids, portraits, handwritten materials, and personal belongings. The museum also features a short film about Sardar Bhagat Singh's life. Additionally, nearby is Sardar Bhagat Singh's ancestral house, which is also maintained by the Punjab government.
We visited today, in the afternoon it's such a pity we have travelled around 120 kms to watch it but there is a powercut and the security guard won't allow us in. There is no power backup in a museum of one of the greatest freedom fighter of all time.

The whole place comprises of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji's home and museum. It is so clean and so well maintained. Often seems like a casual yet cozy place. Look for the weather and national holidays though.

Kids should be taken along to check out the museum so they know about the life of S. Bhagat Singh. Also a short movie being played every time. Near to this a S. Nakodar. Na koi Aisa Dar. It’s a very divine and a peaceful shrine of Dera Baba Murad Shah Ji and Baba Laddi Shah Ji. One can come and have some peace here. The Dargah premise is very massive in size and it’s so beautiful. The role of management is commendable as the Dargah and its inner surroundings are very clean and very well maintained. Also, don’t forget to buy most famous Besan Barfi from here. It’s so tasty, less sugary and the quality is just awesome. Washrooms are so hygienic and tidy just like International Airports or Shopping Malls. Here, no one runs behind you to make you pay for Dharshan and getting blessings of Nakodar Darbar. The pond behind this Dargah is one of the most cleaned and beautiful pond I have ever seen in my life. The water is so clean and the palm trees surrounding it is just so scenic and amazing. This is a divine place. Please do come and get all your pains and sufferings removed at Darbar. Highly recommended👍👍👍👍🙏👌👌🤎🤎Jai Mastan Di.

Hardy’s World is a delightful escape for anyone looking to beat the heat or simply have a day filled with fun and adventure. Nestled on the outskirts of Ludhiana, this water and amusement park offers a lively mix of attractions that cater to both thrill-seekers and families with young kids. The water park section is a refreshing highlight, with wave pools, splash zones, and twisting water slides that offer just the right amount of adrenaline without being overwhelming. It’s especially enjoyable during the scorching summer months when the cool water and vibrant energy make it feel like a mini vacation. On the amusement side, the rides range from classic favorites like the roller coaster and giant wheel to more kid-friendly options that keep the little ones engaged. The park’s atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed, with decent food options scattered throughout—think chaat, ice cream, and quick bites that keep you fueled for the day. While it may not match the scale or polish of international parks, there’s a certain charm in its local flavor, friendly staff, and affordable pricing that makes it accessible for most. Cleanliness and maintenance could use a bit more consistency, but the overall experience still feels worthwhile. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or just want a break from the everyday grind, Hardy’s World provides a satisfying dose of joy, laughter, and splashy memories that stick with you long after you’ve dried off. It’s not perfect, but it sure knows how to show you a good time.

Sacred & Religious Sites
Charan Kamal (Tibba Road Ludhiana) Gurudwara is a significant Sikh shrine that holds historical and spiritual importance. It marks the location where Guru Gobind Singh rested after enduring hardships, and it features stunning Sikh architecture. The annual fair in December celebrates the congregation of this holy place. Visitors describe it as a calm, spiritual place where one can easily connect with the divine and find inner peace.
This holy place is sanctified by the visit of Guru Gobind Singh. After the battle of Chamkaur Sahib, enduring hardships, he pushed his way through the thick jungles infested with thorny bushes. After an arduous journey, he lay down on the bare stony ground for rest in the garden of Masand Gulab Rai. Here his pathan devotees Ghani Khan and Nabi Khan recognised him and provided all facilities to the great Guru. From here Guru was taken in a Palki (Palanquin) disguised as 'Uch Ka Pir'. For this purpose the Guru put on a blue dress and so did his disciples accompanying him. The plan they adopted, proved a total success. Only once Mughal army intercepted the procession of the Guru but answer of Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan was so convincing that no suspicion was raised by the Mughal soldiers Thus Gurdwara Machhiwara has became a place of pilgrimage. upto this day people remember the two Pathan brothers Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan with great respect as they risked their lives in serving the Tenth Master. Gurdwara Charan Kanwal, Machhiwara, Dist. Ludhiana After agreeing to leave Chamkaur as commanded by his Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh escaped into the night and the jungle surrounded by the enemy troops. In the dark the Guru was separated from his three Sikh and left alone in the dense jungle. Guru Gobind Singh trudged through the jungle day and night, his clothes tattered and his feet blistered. Eventually the Guru reached the outskirts of Machiwara town and lay down to sleep in a garden in some bushes on the ground with a stone as his pillow. Here he was found by the three remaining Sikhs Daram Singh, Daya Singh and Man Singh. This gurdwara marks that spot where Guru Gobind Singh was found sleeping. Guru Gobind Singh drank water from the well that appears in the foreground. Gurdwara Chubara Sahib, Machhiwara, Dist. Ludhiana A Sikh named Gulaba Singh lived in the town of Machhiwara and provided Guru Gobind Singh and his three Sikhs refuge in his house at this spot while the enemy where prowling the countryside looking for the Guru with orders to capture or kill him.

It's a public park, located near the stadium. The entry to the park is free for the public, though parking of the vehicle next to the park is paid and limited. Best time to visit is during day in winters and evenings in summers. General cleanliness of the park is good. It's a good place to bring kids as the park holds good amount of playbees for them (on a payment though) . Best amongst them is the rent a bicycle, where one can hire a bike for self and the kids too and ride it on the bike track inside the park. There is a place which houses the eats, reasonably priced (vegetarian only). Hygiene along with taste including variety would be rated at 7/10.

PAU Museum, located within the Punjab Agriculture University Campus, offers a captivating glimpse into the rural life and culture of Punjab. Inaugurated in 1974, this museum showcases a wide array of artifacts including household equipment, pottery, coins, musical instruments, traditional attire and jewelry. Visitors can also explore Punjabi juttis (shoes) and handicrafts on display.
One must visit this beautiful place in the university. They have preserved so many historical artifacts that you won't find elsewhere. Take your family with you and visit this place to see the Punjabi culture. The fee at the gate is really low which I think should be increased so they can use that money to bring more things or to make this place even better. The architecture of the building is amazing.

The Punjab Agricultural University Museum is one of the landmarks in Ludhiana which is visited by many people all year long and is on the outskirts of the city. This museum lies in the premises of the Punjab Agricultural University. This Rural Museum was inaugurated at the hands of S Khushwant Singh in the year 1974 on 26th April. The rural life of the people is very well displayed at this museum and the Punjabi culture is very evident at its best.

The small museum situated inside PAU. You can see a lot of historical artifacts that you never have seen. Also, you can find out ancient items over there and many more old things that represent Punjab. The layout of the building is unique and amazing. It looks like a fort. Must visit and take your kids to show them old Punjab.

Nestled in the serene village of Katana, Ludhiana, Gurudwara Deg Sar Sahib holds a significant place in Sikh history. This sacred site is where Guru Hargobind Ji visited on 20th Phagun 1675, accompanied by an impressive entourage that included seven cannons and over a thousand horse riders. The Gurdwara not only commemorates this historic event but also serves as a tranquil haven for visitors seeking spiritual solace.
Holy and historical place to visit. It has a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful location on the canal, and the presence of colorful fishes in sarovar.

GURUDWARA SHRI DEGSAR SAHIB PAATSHAAHI 6TH & 10TH SAHIB is situated in the Katana Village In Distt. Ludhiana. GURUDWARA SAHIB is situated on the Doraha Nillon Link Road by the Side of Canal PAATSHAAHI 6TH RELATED: SHRI GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI came to this place on 20th Phagun 1675. GURU JI had 7 cannons, 1100 horse riders & Chandu Qaidi ( the one who was involved in SHRI GURU ARJUN DEV JI\"s martyrdom), one gown with 52 flower buds with which he freed 52 prisoners from Gwalior fort. He also took rest here for a night & tied his horse with a \"Ber\" tree. This place is known as DAMDAMA SAHIB. PAATSHAAHI 10TH RELATED: SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI , on becoming \"Uchh Da Pir\", came here on 11 Poh 1761 Bikrami. Along with him came Bhai Daya Singh, Bhai Dharam Singh, Bhai Maan Singh, Bhai Nabi Khan & Bhai Gani Khan. He got his bed placed under the \"BER SAHIB\" & took rest. He also distributed the \"DEG\" with his holy hands & named this place as \"DEGSAR SAHIB\". So whoever offers DEG with a promise, his desire is fulfilled by GURU SAHIB. RIVER RELATED: In the year 1854, a survey was conducted regarding Sirhind river & it was proposed to pass a river from this place but the engineer, Mr. Smith, who was taking care of the digging work got blind while cutting the \"BERI SAHIB\". Blood came out wherever the \"BERI SAHIB\" was hit. The foreigner engineer regretted & offered DEG of Rs 51 & he began to see again. Then this place was not touched at all & the river was made to bend & pass. The river going close to GURUDWARA SAHIB is a proof to history & the \"BERI SAHIB\" still exists. A small GURUDWARA SAHIB constructed by Mr. Smith is close by & can be seen standing on a hillock. He wanted to destroy this GURUDWARA SAHIB & construct a GURUDWARA SAHIB on it but this big GURUDWARA SAHIB still stands firm with its glory & there is a big \"Jor Mela\" on every Sangraand.

My recent visit to Gurudwara Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was a deeply spiritual and peaceful experience. Surrounded by lush green fields and calm countryside air, this sacred place holds a unique aura of serenity and divine connection. As soon as I stepped inside the Gurudwara premises, I felt an overwhelming sense of calmness and purity. The melodious kirtan (hymns) being sung by the ragis created an atmosphere that touched the soul and helped quiet the mind. The architecture of the Gurudwara is beautiful — simple yet grand, reflecting traditional Sikh design with its white marble and golden dome. The premises were immaculately clean and well-maintained, showing the dedication of the sewadars who serve here with true devotion. The experience was further elevated when I received the Hukamnama Sahib, the divine order of the day, which felt personally guiding and deeply meaningful. I’ve attached the image of the Hukamnama as a cherished reminder of the spiritual wisdom received that day. The Langar (community meal), as always, was a symbol of equality and kindness — prepared and served with love, reminding us of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of seva (selfless service) and vand chakna (sharing with others). Overall, my visit to Nanaksar Kaleeran Sahib was more than just a trip — it was a soulful experience that renewed faith, brought peace, and filled the heart with gratitude. A truly divine place that every devotee should visit. 🙏✨ #GurudwaraNanaksarKaleeran #Hukamnama #Faith #Peace #Sikhism #Seva #SpiritualJourney

Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib Jagraon is situated in the Ludhiana district of Punjab and is located approximately five miles from the city of Jagraon along the road from Ludhiana to Moga/ Ferozpur. This location was specifically chosen by the Holy Saint, Baba Nand Singh Ji as it personified a spiritual retreat where one could move to escape the misguidance of the world, and concentrate on the sole treasure of Naam Simran.

The Gurudwara was established by Baba Nand Singh Ji for the social welfare of the Sikh community. They wanted to spread the message of our all 10 Guru's through our Holy book Gurugarnth Sahib. Moreover, whenever you will visit here you will find artificial Tigers & Lions everywhere, the reason behind the wild animals used to come here to listen the Gurubani and train frequently stopped nearby railways line without any stopage ( locals beliefs). Gurudwara Wadda Ghalughara Sahib

Gurudwara
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
As Ahmad Shah was returning home after his historic victory over the Marathas in the third battle of Panipat in 1761, the Sikhs had harassed him all the way from the River Sutlej right up to the Indus Valley. When the Sikhs returned to central Punjab, they ravaged the country all around, annihilated the Afghan force in Char Mahal, drove away the Faujdar (General) of Jalandhar, plundered Sirhind and Malerkotia, defeated a force which was 12,000 strong, sent by Ahmad Shah from Afghanistan to punish them and another led personally by the Afghan governor of Lahore, and even captured Lahore, all within a short period, June-September 1761. At a general assembly (Sarbat Khalsa) of the Dal at Amritsar convened on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas, 27 October 1761, it was resolved to punish the agents, informers and collaborators of the Afghans, beginning with Aqil Das of Jandiala, head of the heretical Niranjania sect and an inveterate enemy of the Sikhs. Aqil Das dispatched messengers hastily to Ahmad Shah Durrani, who had in fact already entered India at the head of a large army. Meanwhile, the Sikhs had besieged Jandiala, 18km east of Amritsar. Aqil Das’s messengers met the Shah at Rohtas. The latter advanced at a quick pace but before he reached Jandiala, the Sikhs had lifted the siege and retired beyond the River Sutlej with the object of sending their families to the safety of the wastelands of Malwa before confronting the invader. Ahmad Shah, on the other hand, determined to teach the Sikhs a lesson, sent messages to Zain Khan, Faujdar (General) of Sirhind, and Bhikhan Khan, Chief of Malerkotia, directing them immediately to check and halt the Sikhs’ advance, while he himself taking a light cavalry force set out at once, covering a distance of 200 km including two river crossings in fewer than 48 hours, caught up with the Sikhs who were encamped at Kup Rahira, 12km north of Malerkotia, at dawn on the 5th of February 1762. The Dal Khalsa, comprising all of the 11 Misls and representatives of the Sikh Chiefs of Malwa, was taken by surprise. The attacks of Zain Khan and Bhikhan Khan were easily repulsed, but the main body of Ahmad Shah, much larger and better equipped, soon overtook them. Having to protect the slow moving baggage train comprising of belongings, women, children, old men and other noncombatants, the Sikhs could not resort to their usual hit and run tactics, and a stationary battle against such superior numbers was inadvisable. On the day of the attack (February 5th ,1762) Zain Khan attacked with his 20,000 men and artillery. Ahmad Shah also joined the attack with 30,000 horsemen. Sardar Jassa Singh and Sardar Charat Singh ordered the Khalsa Army to encircle the women, children and elders and keep proceeding towards Barnala as a war strategy. The Khalsa Army’s only aim was to save the Sangat somehow and fight with enemy to inflict maximum losses on their end. In this process the Khalsa Army suffered heavy casualties.

Vadda Ghalughara (Punjabi: ਵੱਡਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰਾ [ʋəɖɖɑ kə̀lːuɡɑ̀ɾɑ], "The Great Massacre") was the mass-murder of the unarmed Sikhs by the Afghan forces of the Durrani Empire during the years of Afghan influence in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent owing to the repeated incursions of Ahmad Shah Durrani in February 1762.[1] It is distinguished from the Chhota Ghalughara (the Smaller Massacre). Mostly non-combatants, were killed[2] in the event and an estimated that 10,000 to 20,000 Sikhs were killed on 5 February 1762

Spanning around 25 acres, the farm operates daily from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and is highly rated by visitors for its fun, culture, and hospitality. Really we love it.

Its a nice place to spend your whole day and trust me in the blink of an eye your whole day will pass.. its amazing the whole process from their warm welcome in morning(9:30 am )to bye bye in the evening (5:30) behavior of all staff remain professional ( someone must be guiding them or keeping an eye on them). you just have to take a cup of tea before leaving your house rest all food and drinks they provide and that too throughout the day, and the quality and taste of food are authentic. if you have good appetite you can recover your 1400 ticket fee through food alone. they have arranged water as well as washroom at every step so that after activities you dont have to go here and there. they provide lots of activities (both outdoor and indoor ) which are impossible to perform in one day, just like we missed all indoor activities like pool, archery etc. very good for people from 7 - 8 years to 40 - 45 years as i had taken my mother but she could just have food items there still she was feeling good to be there as she was watching her grand children enjoying the day. you must be in sports attire to fully enjoy the activities there so be in trousers and sports shoes same goes for female also. they also adding some new things which gonna be available from next year like MIRROR ROOM ESCAPE etc. i just want to request them to increase the evening time limit( beyond 5:30 pm) hope visit here agian to cover the rest of the games and enjoy the tasty food again. good parking space ( free) Note - Zipline is restricted to people having weight between 45kg to 90kg. we had some children below 45kg desired to get on zipline but unfortunately they did not allow( for safety reason) and we can understand that.

1. Approach road is very bad. Big potholes near the farm and near railway line. Cars can get stuck. Take only SUVs. Also pratapgarh farm management should get it fixed since it affects their guests and there is no other farm on this route. 2. No meals for your drivers. 3. Overall fun and activities are good. Very tiring so avoid taking older people unless you can make them rest somewhere. 4. Food is average. Variety is there but low in quality. Curd, chhach was very sour. Bhature oil wasn't good. Aloo sabji was so sour I got acidity. Nimbu paani tasted very artificial. No closing drinks or snacks. Halwa and gylabjamun were tasty. 5. Very hospitable staff on different activities. The pitloom and handloom and animal rides staff was very good. 6. Washroom cleaning needs to be frequent. Its average honestly. Some flushes don't work. Floor needs to be cleaned since soil is there. 7. They also sell handloom, ghee and more village products. 8. Hygiene issues are there. Cleaning of traditional attire clothes, pagdi must be done every night after tourists have used it to avoid spreading germs. 9. Good availablity and supply of cold drinking water near every zone. 10. Good variety of games. 11. Best was the gau shala. It was beautiful ti feed the cows, see the dairy and the temple. They also serve kheer. 12. All adventure sports are safe. Proper equipment. If they fix the approach road and ensure cleaner toilets, it'd be better.

LOHARU FORT IS NOW TEMPORARY CLOSED BY GOVT. BECAUSE FORT IS DILAPIDATED. Nawab Ahmed Baksh Khan, nawab of Loharu is ruler of the fort.

Worst experience. As soon I visit this place I find that the present condition is so far different from the pics available on google. I don't know why the government haven't paid any attention so far to maintain this fort. Every part of this fort is broken or damaged. Archaeological Survey of India should pay attention here to improve the conditions.
Sudhir P — Google review
Only ruins left of what was a fort once! It definitely has the potential to become one of the top attraction points in and around Loharu. The park adjacent to the fort provides some space for leisure.
Himanshu Y — Google review
Not a magnificent view. A park is built around the fort, which makes it less scenic
Shivam V — Google review
Once being the pride of Loharu, the Fort has been diminished into ruins. Loharu Fort was built in the year 1570 CE by Thakur Arjun Singh.  Rao Shekha had originally divided Shekhawati into 33 thikanas, of which the Fort was 33rd. It was then a small village with a kuccha, a mud fort, and stayed as such until 1800 CE. The Fort was in the hands of later Nawabs of Loharu until 1971 when the Late Nawab Aminuddin Ahmed Khan sold it to the Government of Haryana. Since these buildings were uninhabited, all the north-wing had collapsed as was part of the east-wing. Only the south-wing of the fort (containing the Farukh Manzil) survives, and that too went into a very dilapidated state.

Timings 9 am to 4 pm. Tickets Rs 15 for kids and 30 for Adults. Not very updated and very unclean. There is a documentary which is good. No parking no clean washrooms. So come with that in mind. Toy train is not operational and it's outdated and dead. Better to visit New Delhi Rail museum as it's amazing for kids.

BMG Mall

Shopping mall
Shopping
Movie theater
Lively retail complex offering an array of stores, a supermarket, casual eateries & a movie theater.
BMG Mall, located in the heart of Rewari, is one of the most popular shopping and entertainment destinations in the city. It offers a modern and well-maintained environment for families, couples, and youngsters alike. The mall houses a wide range of branded stores, making it a convenient spot for shopping clothes, accessories, electronics, and more. From lifestyle to budget-friendly brands, there’s something for everyone. The food court at BMG Mall is well-equipped with a variety of options, from fast food chains to local flavors. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a meal after shopping. The presence of a multiplex cinema adds to the entertainment factor, making it a favorite weekend hangout spot for movie lovers. Cleanliness, proper security, and ample parking space are additional positives. The mall also hosts occasional events and seasonal sales, which attract large crowds. However, being a smaller mall compared to metros, it has limited options in terms of high-end brands and luxury items. Still, for a city like Rewari, BMG Mall is a major attraction and fulfills the lifestyle and entertainment needs of the local population. Overall, it's a great place for shopping, dining, and spending quality time with friends or family.

BMG is only mall currently active in Rewari. Phonex Mall is soon opening. BMG is also bringing market on BMG properties. There are 4 screens inside and we have options to watch movies. We can have popcorn, mom's, sweet corn and sandwich inside. Water and washrooms available. Sheets are good. You can book movies through Paytm, Phonepe and other options online. For food we have restaurants, Burger King, Dominos, and Subway. Many Cloths shops are there. Reliance fresh is also inside. Washrooms available on all floor and were clean. For children there is trampoline, train, toy car ride. Alao play area is there. Paid Parking inside. Also free parking available in Sec 5 market ( in front of BMG Mall). Kulfi outside are good. Overall Mall is good.

I have gone 2 months back with my friends for watching a movie and playing games. Food services are good and 7D movie is one of the attraction there. It is also having bar there. It is also having parking service at just 20 rs. This is the one and only entertainment place in Rewari during week ends.Nice & clean environment.... Variety of shops available ..clothes & shoes of different brand, cakes also available,Me and my friends went there to watch the movie. The lighting was the key factor to enhance its beauty. The theatre was huge and we enjoyed a lot. This is the one and only entertainment place in Rewari during week ends. This enables children and elders to enjoy week end with little shopping needs.
KAMAL C — Google review
BMG Mall is okay, but not up to the mark in terms of modern standards. Most shops feel outdated, and it definitely needs some updates—new stores, fresh vibes, and a proper gaming zone would make a big difference. Overall, it's just average for now.
Study O — Google review
It is the first-ever and the only mall in Rewari. It has nice theaters i.e. BMG Cinemas and Domino which is the major reason why I visit there. It has shops of many well-known brands and is always clean whenever you visit there. Obviously you can not compare it to the malls of Gurugram and Delhi but still is not that bad. As it is the only Mall it has always been a center of attraction for people living here and during the day time nearby village people also come here. It is decorated on various occasions like 15th August, Republic Day, Diwali etc. It is an overall nice place.

Weekend getaway for Delhities and Gurgaon folks. Adventurous and peaceful place. Good for hiking and zip lining. They offer 5 paths for zip line in their package. Guides are good, they will accompany you in full path (part of package)

Nice adventure. Must try . The staff is cooperative and humble. They instructed well about the process and were very supportive throughout the process. We tried the morning slot as it is less crowded and also saved from sun heat. Need to track to reach the starting point so we prepare for this also . The need to reach the location is another challenge as it is away from the highway. Overall nice experience

Hukum and Nischyal made the experience even more memorable. The weather was amazing so it made it whole lot better. But it can get really hot in june july. There are a total of 5 ziplines. Enjoy the spectacular views while ziplining

Flying fox Neemrana was a great experience. Coach/ instructors Mr Deepak and Mr ChandraVeer were most professional , patient , lively and accommodating. These boys deserve special note for their professionalism. Mr ChandraVeer regaled us with local stories of the zip area while Deepak helped less avid trekkers , pulling people stopping short of destination on the lines and laughing along with the group. Flying fox Neemrana deserves five out of five for safety, adventure , procedure , location and paisa wasul😊!!!

Great experience. Brilliant instructors (Madan and Suraj) Note: There's a 15-20min trek to the top. Nothing too intensive, but just to inform.
Abhinav C — Google review
Little costly but worth it, as it comes in combination with Fort entry... There are total 5 zips, though only 2 are longer but still 5 zips satisfy your gut.... Initially tracking to the mountain top feels like tiring, but it's worth taking ride...
Ankit P — Google review
Zip lining at Neemrana is a must do. Flying fox was awesome at it. The training, instructors, facilities (like harness, gloves and even water bottle) were all too good. The hike up till the zip line was a bit tiring, about 750m of climbing, but it was totally worth it. The views from each of the 5 zip lines were amazing. 2 tips: follow the instructions given by your guides regarding posture, or you'll find yourself pulling on the zip.. and, choose to zip when it's not too sunny as it becomes difficult to climb when it's too hot.

Bala Fort, also known as Alwar Fort, is an ancient stronghold with a masonry facade, 66 towers, and 6 large gates. It was constructed in 1550 on a hill by Hasan Khan Mewati. The fort stands over 300 meters above the ground and spans 5 kilometers from north to south and 1.6 kilometers from east to west.
We can reach Bala fort by our own car with an entry rate of 50/- and 10/- per person. The 7 km road to kila is awesome. Keep it 30 km fast on the road. No honking. No halting. No getting out of the car until you reach the fort. Beautiful fort and palace.
Ron Y — Google review
You can save your time and skin (from scorching heat), money, fuel if you skip this place. Someone suggested that it is more beautiful than the Alwar museum. Because of world heritage day, there were no tickets anywhere. However these people still charged for parking as well as per person cost. They strictly asked us to not carry single plastic items like Kurkure/coca cola etc as it's not allowed. When we visited the fort, they have not maintained it and chips packet were there on the stairs. Also, there is no shade in this fort. It's plain and no architecture. Simple white walls. The only good part was a temple which was good. Another good thing was the view from a corner of the fort. However, it is under construction and looking at the condition, the ceiling may fall any time.

Bala Quila or Alwar Fort is a stunning 15th-century fort nestled in the Aravalli Hills, offering breathtaking views of Alwar city. With its massive gates, Mughal-Rajput architecture, and peaceful surroundings, it’s a delight for history lovers and photographers alike. The fort itself is huge and filled with stories of Rajputana valor and Mughal influence. It is spread over a massive area of around 5 km, with six majestic gates and numerous watchtowers. The architecture reflects a blend of Rajputana strength and Mughal elegance, with beautifully carved arches, massive gateways, and strategic bastions. Walking through its ruins, you can almost imagine the tales of kings, battles, and royal life that once echoed within its walls. It's grand gates, watchtowers, and walls stand as a testament to its strategic importance in history. Though some parts are in ruins, it only adds to the feeling of stepping back in time. The fort also houses a museum with old guns, swords, and artifacts that reflect its royal past. One of the highlights is the peaceful atmosphere—you don’t find heavy crowds here like at other tourist spots, making it perfect for those who love exploring heritage in a quiet, relaxed way. If you are a history buff, nature lover, or simply someone who enjoys panoramic views, Bala Fort is a must-visit. What makes the visit truly special is the location. The drive up to the fort is through dense green forest, part of the Sariska Tiger Reserve region, making it scenic and adventurous. You could see wildlife in this area. This scenic drive through greenery adds to the charm. Once at the top, the view of Alwar city is breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset when the golden light spreads over the Aravalli. Tip: Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and try visiting early in the morning or evening for the best experience. A true hidden gem of Rajasthan that deserves much more attention—if you are in or around Alwar, Bala Fort is a must-visit!
Pragya K — Google review
A small museum building with a large courtyard on the precipice, is the setting you can expect. Nothing is unusual or novel but the drive up the hill is pleasant with the sight of parts of the fort wall or some ruined structure here and there dotting along... Worth the trouble in the context of this small town with not much to see otherwise if you are on a long weekend.
K C — Google review
While the fort in itself is nice, some parts are not well-maintained, specially some ceilings and walls, and appear as if they'll disintegrate at any time. The problem, as in most places is the attitude of the ticketing staff and the security. Apparently there is a jeep safari and the cost is prohibitive for a single person. Many people do not visit, and I too was warned by well-wishers where I was staying that it would be better not to visit. However having gone all the way to Alwar, I felt that I might later regret missing this visit. There were hardly any visitors, & I was told to pay the full amount for a jeep if I was interested in going alone, or wait till more people came. I decided to wait for a while, but for at least half an hour no one turned up. Then two visitors in a private vehicle, were kind enough to accommodate me, so for ₹10 only I was fortunate enough to visit the fort and a couple of serene temples inside the complex. So unless you have your own private vehicle, visiting this place is a tedious and costly process, and requires careful planning. The fort & it's precincts are well-maintained, I didn't see any litter inside, though some do manage to sneak in some packages snacks and water bottles and throw them here and there.

While returning from Jaipur on 21st October 2025, we decided to take a detour and visit bala Quila in Alwar. It was a good distance of around 50 km from Mumbai expressway through rural area of Rajsthan. We reached at the entry gate at 3.30 pm and to our disappointment, there was a board on entry gate mentioning that approach road to the fort from entry gates was damaged somewhere (in between) so no one was allowed to visit the fort. A person standing there (looked like dalal) said that he was the ticket selling person. He said that you can't go to the fort and he offered us a Jungle safari for Rs.7400 which was a real scam type thing. Another person told us that road is damaged since last 8 months and there was no idea when it will be repaired and open for public. In sheer disappointment, we just visited moosi maharani ki chatri (5 minute drive from fort entry gate) and returned to Delhi. So anyone planning to visit Bala quila, do check first the latest update and then go there. Posting some picture of moosi maharni ki chatri.
ANIL M — Google review
Bala Quila, also known as Alwar Fort, is a massive hilltop fort overlooking the city of Alwar. The drive up the hill itself is scenic, surrounded by the Aravalli hills and greenery. Once you reach the fort, the views of the entire city and surrounding valley are absolutely breathtaking – definitely the highlight of the visit. The fort has a long history, and you can still see ancient gates, walls, and old palaces inside. However, much of the structure is in ruins and not properly maintained. Foreign visitors may find the site less polished compared to forts in Jaipur or Udaipur, but it feels raw and authentic, almost untouched. ⚠️ Practical Tips: Entry fee is minimal (₹50 / less than $1). Best to hire a local guide if you want the historical details, since there aren’t many boards with information. Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and avoid visiting late evening as it gets deserted. You may need a permit from the Forest Office at the base (check before going).

Alwar City Palace, also known as Vinay Vilas Mahal, is a majestic former palace complex that serves as a landmark in the city of Alwar. Built by Raja Bakhtayar Singh in the 17th century, it now houses government offices and the City Museum on its upper floors. The museum displays a rich collection of artifacts from the royal era, including coins, arms and weapons, sculptures, paintings, and manuscripts.
The City Palace, Alwar is one of the finest heritage landmarks that beautifully showcases the grandeur of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Situated right at the foothills of the Aravalli range, the palace has a regal charm and an old-world elegance that transports you back in time. The palace complex is vast, with beautifully carved gates, marble pavilions, large courtyards, and intricate arches that reflect the craftsmanship of the bygone era. It also houses government offices specifically the District court. These carved arches, courtyards, grand entrance and marble work all reflect the charm of this place. Inside the palace, there’s a museum that houses an impressive collection of rare manuscripts, old royal armory, swords, shields, paintings, sculptures, and historical artifacts. For history lovers, the museum itself is a treasure trove that gives deep insight into the cultural richness and royal legacy of Alwar. The palace premises are peaceful and less crowded compared to many other tourist spots, which makes it easier to explore at your own pace While some parts of the palace show signs of aging and could use more maintenance, the overall experience remains enriching and memorable. After visiting the City palace, nearby spots like Sagar Lake and Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri are worth visiting together to complete the experience.

Disappointed to see... Alwar City palace instead of being beautiful and grand architecture.. encroached by various government offices, court, lawyers and other district administration offices. Very less is left for tourists with no proper maintenance... Signages ... Drinking water facilities. A fade board of museum is seen leads to the top of museum. Museum is must to watch having a vast collection of ancient historical scriptures and ammunition .

The City Palace of Alwar, also known as Vinay Vilas Mahal, stands as a testament to the region's rich history and architectural grandeur. Built by Raja Bakhtawar Singh in 1793, it's a captivating blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. Here's a glimpse: Architectural Splendor: The palace showcases intricate frescoes, delicate mirror work, and elegant arches. It features a fusion of Mughal, Rajput, and European influences, evident in its ornate balconies and spacious courtyards. The Sheesh Mahal, or hall of mirrors, displays exquisite glasswork. Historical Significance: It served as the royal residence and a seat of governance. The palace houses a museum with a rich collection of artifacts, including weaponry, manuscripts, and miniature paintings. The museum also houses many historical weapons, and manuscripts from various historical era's. Present Day: Parts of the palace are now used for government offices, and the upper floors are a museum. While the palace retains its historical charm, some areas show signs of age, with wear and tear due to the constant passing of time, and the sheer size of the complex making total upkeep difficult. Despite any signs of age, the City Palace remains a significant cultural landmark, offering visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of Rajasthan's royal past.

Must visit for Rajasthan lovers. Untouched original historical beauty of a Rajasthan palace, which is still not commercialized and artificialized as a Heritage Hotel

As expected, it's such a beautiful place , you won't feel visiting any palace at first as it turned into a court from the front but as you enter it , u will be amazed to see the structure, it's literally a palace than a museum , u can see the Darbar (place where the king use to sit and take the Darbar ) . I visited the museum first due to the closing timing . The fair for the museum is affordable for the common middle class too , and for the foreigners, I felt it a bit more but a place to definitely visit . The most beautiful thing was the Darbar for me as it was a big palace where u can actually see how the people of that time used to travel to the top , with different pattern of ramp , the secrets door that gonna excite u that what it could u , it's a place where u can actually feel those things . A must recommend place . 😌

The City Palace complex is very beautiful and there are plans to build a balcony along it. There is a big field behind the gate. There is Krishna temple in this ground. Just behind this is Musi Rani's Chhatri and other places of interest. In the morning, when the first rays of the sun fall on the main gate of the City Palace complex, its shade is worth seeing. Its condition is pathetic in recent times. This entire building is occupied by government offices, mainly that of the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Alwar Police. It was built by Raja Bakhtawar Singh in 1793. Tourists cannot live without praising its beauty. There is also a museum on the top floor of this building. A fee has to be paid to visit the museum. It is divided into three halls. In the first hall, royal costumes and clay toys are kept, the main attraction of this hall is the bicycle of Maharaj Jai Singh. Every thing here is beautifully decorated. In the second hall, there are pictures of many famous kings of Central Asia. Pictures from Taimur to Aurangzeb are displayed in this hall. Munitions are displayed in the third hall. The main attraction of this hall is the swords of Akbar and Jahangir. There is a sheath here in which two swords can be kept together, this is a special sight for the tourists. Time to visit the museum is 10 am to 5 pm, closed on Friday

Siliserh Lake is a peaceful and scenic spot with beautiful views. The ticket even includes a cold drink, which is a nice touch! The road to the viewpoint is in decent, manageable condition, but it’s best to avoid very sunny days as there’s limited shade. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here and even enjoy boating. A great option for a short day trip from NCR!

The resort truly exceeded expectations with its excellent food, breathtaking scenery, and warm hospitality. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, offering both taste and variety. The scenic surroundings added a refreshing charm, making the stay even more memorable. The staff provided outstanding service—always attentive, courteous, and eager to help. Overall, it was a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and fine dining. Highly recommended for anyone seeking relaxation with top-class service.

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars only for the kind staff and good food) I’m giving 2 stars — and that too only because of the extremely generous and polite staff, and the surprisingly good food. Apart from that, the entire stay was a huge disappointment. The rooms were far from clean, full of insects, and felt completely neglected. The bathroom didn’t even have an exhaust fan, and there was no water in the tap — forget about using the shower. It was honestly shocking for a place that claims to be 4 stars property. Cleanliness and basic facilities were completely missing. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle. Wouldn’t recommend unless the management seriously upgrades the property and pays attention to hygiene and guest comfort.

Our stay at Sariska Tiger Camp Resort was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and serene atmosphere made us feel completely at home. The property is beautifully maintained, offering the perfect blend of comfort and nature. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal felt like a treat, with a great variety to choose from. A special mention to Mr. Sebastian and Mr. Pravin for their exceptional service. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care truly elevated our experience. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect throughout our stay. Highly recommend Sariska Tiger Camp Resort to anyone looking for a memorable and refreshing getaway. We can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed at Sariska Tiger Camp Resort for our company’s offsite, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is peaceful and green, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout. The team was also very accommodating with our requests and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would definitely recommend it for group outings or a weekend getaway!

The reception staff at this hotel are pathetic, and the property manager is just as bad. From the moment I arrived with two friends, we felt judged by the staff before we even said a word. Despite booking through Cleartrip for a better rate, they changed the room from what was initially shown. Not a single order was delivered on time. The hotel’s infrastructure is terrible and completely fails at basic customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, when we returned from dinner, the main door was locked and the staff were asleep, leaving no security at the entrance. Poor management, especially the arrogant receptionist from Kerala and the rude manager, makes this place unfit for the hospitality industry.

Wonderful experience. One of the best jungle safari. Guide was really nice. Carry water with you on safari as it gets really hot during this time of the year on afternoons rides. There are two different times one in morning and other one in afternoon. Please check timings before coming to safari gate.

A very beautiful landscape to see but not in summers , the place is made for the winters with an extraordinary view and great landscape
Prasoon S — Google review
Good place to visit in summers. Do carry waterbottle while going in canter/gypsy. Canter price around 700 something for indian person. One local guide will be available in canter. Online booking can be done one day prior.
Priyanka B — Google review
Overall experience was good. If you want gypsy then book it in advance otherwise canter will be available. Check time slots before visiting. Chances of tiger sighting is low but if you are lucky enough you can sight tiger
Mohit Y — Google review
There are 2 slots for the safari. One at 6:30 and another at 13:30. Gypsies can be only booked online. In-person booking only offers canter vans. It is recommended to book your slot one day prior (if online) or you can book on the same day (if offline). The safari is of a good 150 to 180 minutes and gypsies offer a better experience than canter vans.

It is lovely place to explore, don't expect much in terms of spotting a Tiger. As Sariska is a huge area and limited tigers are there. As per my recent trips only 12 tigers are there in the whole Sariska Reserve. But Jeep Safari is enjoyable and much fun. If you are planning to go there, better visit in Summer as Summer is the best time to spot the Tiger.

Sariska tiger reserve booking office is 40 km from Alwar city surrounded by Aravalli tiger range, you can get window ticket 1 hr before safari in case availability of ticket is there after online booking. It opens 6 am in the morning and closes at 11 am after safari, reopens at 1 pm for evening safari. I had visited the place with my family and daughter during the occasion of diwali. Safari ticket can be booked from rajasthan.gov.in by following some simple steps. Make a login by aadhar number mail id and mobile number, then as per availability book the slot of safari, there are two gates sariska and tahela, sariska is the main gate, there are 3 tracks which need to mention during booking. There is one cafe for snacks and tea/ coffee, one shop for collections of mementoes of sariska. One gallery for information of the birds of animals of this national park, there is toilet and parking facilities, but parking is chargeable 50 Rs. This place is in front of sariska palace decorated for photography, neelgai, sambar deer and spotted dear was found to moving freely in this area. Be careful for monkeys,

Terrible Experience – Jewelry Stolen at Resort Party I’m extremely disappointed and upset with my experience at Angel Resort, Jaipur. During a resort-hosted party four days ago, my gold jewelry was stolen, and I have strong reason to believe it was taken by a member of the staff. I reported the incident immediately, but the response was slow, unprofessional, and dismissive. Despite providing details and asking for assistance, the resort has not taken any meaningful steps to investigate or resolve the matter. There was no follow-up, no accountability, and no concern for my loss. I came here expecting a relaxing and safe environment, but this experience has completely ruined my trust in the resort and its management. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values their safety or personal belongings. Be careful with your valuables if you stay here – you might not leave with them.

Bhangarh Fort

Mentioned on
3 lists
Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Bhangarh Fort is a historic complex with the remains of Hindu temples, royal palaces, and tombs. Located about 90 km from Jaipur, it is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and the state government. Despite its reputation as one of India's most haunted places, visitors have found it to be a well-constructed and beautifully designed fort. The interior buildings are poorly maintained in some areas, but guides are available to explain the fort's history.
A must visit place while visiting Jaipur. Bhangarh Fort is an absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing place to visit! The fort is surrounded by hills on three sides, offering stunning open views and fresh, clean air all around. The area is very neat and well-maintained. On the way to the fort, there’s an old abandoned market about 300 meters long, the ancient ruins give a glimpse into history. The path is lined with huge old banyan trees whose vines touch the ground and form new roots, which looks magical. Inside and around the fort, there are several ancient temples, monkeys, and even peacocks roaming freely. The views from the fort are breathtaking, especially in the morning or late afternoon. Some inner chambers have a strong smell because of bats hanging from the ceilings, so it’s hard to go inside. Overall, Bhangarh Fort is peaceful, scenic, and full of history. Definitely worth visiting if you love heritage and nature.
GAURAV K — Google review
Bhangarh Fort is a fascinating historical site with incredible architecture and stories that take you back in time. The fort complex is vast, with ample parking available, and local Hindi-speaking guides at the entrance make the visit more engaging with their tales of history and folklore. The entry ticket for Indian guests is very reasonable at just ₹25. While the fort’s upkeep could be better—with limited maintenance, no clean washrooms, and monkeys freely roaming around—the charm of the ruins and the atmosphere more than make up for it. A must-visit for history and heritage lovers.

★★Description★★ Bhangarh Fort, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, is widely known as the "Most Haunted Place in India". Constructed in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh, the fort once stood as a thriving town with palaces, temples, and a bustling marketplace, all showcasing a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. However, its prosperity was short-lived, with its ruins now shrouded in chilling local legends, most famously involving a sorcerer's curse on the beautiful Princess Ratnavati and an ascetic, Guru Balu Nath, whose condition about the fort's shadow was violated. The Archaeological Survey of India has legally prohibited entry into the fort premises after sunset and before sunrise due to its infamous reputation. Despite the eerie atmosphere and desolate nature of the ruins, Bhangarh remains a significant historical site and a major attraction for thrill-seekers and paranormal enthusiasts. ★★★ After visit, I think this wonderful place is one of the best forts in Rajasthan in case of ambiance. ★ No haunted activity is there. All forts of Rajasthan are closed at 6:30 PM (Plus minus 30 minutes for sun light). Inside this fort few number of leopards are found after sunset ( Source local people and Shop owner). Entry fees 25 rupees for Indian.(Cash Payment) Online Payment 20 rupees. A must visit palce in Rajasthan.
SAIKAT M — Google review
The place is claimed to be haunted but during the day of course there are no spooky vibes. In fact it's like just another fort. ASI renovation and restoration is going on. The guides tell intresting stories and it is recommended to hire one. Be careful of what you pay them since there in always scope of bargaining. There is nothing which offers anything to eat or drink within the fort and hence carry your own water. There is natural aquifier system with a baori or a stepwell which is intresting. The fort in itself is not very large and can be covered in 1-2 hours. Views after climbing to the top roof are impressive and give you the layout of the market, approach, fort walls and the temples within the fort. Cleanliness is a big issue and within the fort there is too much litter which we the citizenry have created. Approach is ok ok as it's a state highway. Beautiful views of the arravalis

Firstly, visit the place before sunset or reach not later than 4 in the evening because the guard will suggest doing it quickly. By the time I reached there, it was closed (5 o'clock in the evening), so I just conversed with the guards; they were very friendly, and there was a Hanuman temple at the entrance. The whole vibe was different. I was very excited to be there, and my sister was feeling low at the same time.

🏰 Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan – A Perfect Blend of History, Mystery & Natural Beauty 🙇‍♂️✨ I visited Bhangarh Fort on 27th June 2025, and my first reaction was — “Wow!” 🤩 This fascinating place truly feels like stepping into a living legend, where ancient stories whisper through every wall and corridor 📜💫. The fort’s majestic architecture, mysterious aura, and stunning natural surroundings gave me absolute goosebumps 🥶🛕. The path leading to the fort is beautifully lined with old banyan trees 🌳, their hanging vines creating an enchanting, almost magical atmosphere. Inside the fort, you’ll discover centuries-old temples, playful monkeys, and elegant peacocks moving freely 🐒🦚. The view from the top is breathtaking — especially during sunrise or sunset 🌄😍. Some inner chambers have a distinct smell and are home to bats 🦇, adding to the fort’s eerie and mysterious vibe 👻. No wonder it’s often called “the most haunted place in India” — every corner tells a silent tale from the past ⏳💀. Surrounded by the majestic Aravalli Hills ⛰️🌿, Bhangarh Fort offers a perfect mix of peace and thrill — ideal for history lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers 🔮📸✨. ⭐ Overall: A mesmerizing fusion of history, nature, and mystery — truly a must-visit destination for anyone craving an unforgettable experience in Rajasthan 🔥🔥🌟🙌🏻

"I recently visited Bhangarh Fort and was thoroughly impressed by its rich history and stunning architecture. The fort's unique blend of Hindu and Islamic styles is a testament to the region's cultural heritage. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the royal palace are breathtaking. While the fort's haunted reputation adds an element of excitement, I didn't experience anything paranormal during my visit. The guides were knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the fort's history and legends. The fort is well-maintained, and the temples and palaces are still intact. I recommend visiting during the winter months (November to February) for the best experience. Be prepared for a moderate hike and wear comfortable shoes. Overall, Bhangarh Fort is a must-visit destination for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a unique experience. I'm glad I had the opportunity to explore this incredible piece of India's past."

It was good to visit over there and diving into the history of Bhangarh fort. While going to the top there was a small area which was stinging too much due to the presence of bats. Good to go during October - April. Nature beauty is there and pics also come ausmn. If it is raining then do go in rubber slippers because you will confront the water coming from the nearby water falls.
